do you have any headcanons for the maidenvault princesses?

I think I have a couple! Some of these might be gathered from previous headcanon posts so forgive me if I’m repeating myself again lol

Daena:

- canonically a daddy’s girl, definitely thought her father and brother were the coolest people alive as a kid though didn’t completely understand the trauma her dad was still grappling with until after his death

-loved her sisters and naerys but probably had a bit of a Not Like Other Girls goth phase when she was little, poor girl 💀

- tried to bond with the Last Dragon, but was forbidden from ever going into the dragonpit and never managed to succeed in sneaking in until after the dragon died. Probably named her horses dragon names like Meleys and Meraxes because she wanted to imagine she was riding one of them

- likely did consider running away entirely in the few times she broke out, but felt bad about abandoning her sisters and decided to stay for their sake (even tho she got kinda mad at them abt it)

- when it comes to her relationship with aegon…… okay ngl I do think she willingly slept with him, but was kinda coerced into doing so because he helped break her out and was pressured into feeling like she owed him

- Mentioned this before but she and Barba had a very horrible toxic frienemy-ship. Like, they hated each other, probably openly talked shit about one another but also shit-talked everyone else in the Maidenvault and stayed up all night talking about how much they fuckin hated it there

-She definitely loves Daemon cause he’s her baby boy but was bitter at being made pregnant to begin with. Her relationship with him was loving but really unhealthy

- Idk how she dies? I’m pretty sure she’s supposed to have died young, honestly I headcanon sometime in her late 20’s/ early 30’s but she gets a cool rad hot girl death like. Idk. Fighting a wolf. Or getting caught in a storm and getting shipwrecked

Rhaena:

- Okay so I think she might be the sister we know least about so she gets the most fanfic-y writing cause I’m getting silly with it. For starters, absolutely her mom’s favourite, probably took a lot after Daenaera in looks and was overall really cute and sweet as a kid

- That being said!! In her maidenvault era, she was absolutely deranged. Like, still a nice girl, but because she was weirdly okay with being trapped in the maidenvault to begin with I do think she started acting like a weirdo. Like, when Daena went all in refusing to admit who her baby daddy was Rhaena was saying shit like “well maybe the father should be gelded and thrown naked onto the sept to be beaten with sticks. In a holy way :)”

- Still Naerys’ favourite cousin and ngl Naerys was probably her favourite cousin too, but their views on the faith were a littleeeeee different. Because of how weird she gets I kinda like to think she was also just weird about her views and how the faith works. Thinks even a bad thought needs to be severely punished and probably did hurt herself just a littleee in the process which Naerys absolutely did not fuck with

- Developped agoraphobia post-maidenvault era. Started getting really anxious about just being outside so immediately went to be a septa just to close herself inside another holy-ish place because that’s kinda what she saw as her protection. Unhealthy coping mechanism queen <3

- Idk I don’t have much on her beyond that. Think she died pretty peacefully? Probably some flu when she was older

Elaena:

- Childhood friends with Daeron because she was a little too young to really be playmates with her sisters or brothers. I want to think they had a normal familial relationship as kids? But then again this is the Targs we’re talking about here soo…..

- When she originally cut her hair it was so bad and fucked up that she needed Daena and Rhaena both to help fix it. She ended up with a very short bowl cut that she eventually grew out a little, and learned to maintain her own hair because she got so embarrassed asking for help 😭

- Was genuinely in love with Alyn, though a bittttt too young and sheltered to really realize how fucked up it was and how their relationship might’ve probably definitely ruined his marriage to Baela. Maybeeee it’s for the best he went missing-

- As for the whole Viserys Plumm thing…. Okay, I gotta be honest I kinda doubt Aegon was really the dad here. Tbh that does lean into some fun little horror elements if he is, but let’s bfr here Eleana would neverrrr sleep with AEGON of all people willingly??? Especially by then cause there’s no doubt in my mind he was starting to look pretty gross

- Tbh I think she and Myriah initially kinda had a strained relationship because of her initial sorta weird familial relationship with Daeron when they were younger, but they slowly started to get along and respect each other as members of the government

- I also headcanon her to have been the one to suggest the Aerys/Aelinor match (as mentioned previously I think she might be Aelinor’s stepmom just cause it works better timeline-wise)

- Honestly, she lived to be so old that ngl I kinda think she might’ve straight up died from natural causes like- seventy is a legendary age in westeros girlie outlived everyoneeee in her generation! Hell she might’ve lived long enough to see Egg become king before kicking it!

Made some more changes to one of my Venom!Hobie concepts (yeah I have several at this point- it's the one with the cat-symbiote lol) and decided that I'm gonna make them a Hobie-variant instead since I've made too many changes to him (both due to his origins- which inevitably would change his behavior and world view + I've made a few changes to his looks as well) to still view him as the same Hobie as the one from atsv.

So now he's a different version of Hobie instead.

(Shout out to @the-cat-and-the-birdie for sharing their version of a Hobie variant to open my eyes to the concept!)

Idk if this version of Venom!Hobie counts as a spidersona or an oc since he's based on a character from the movie?? Or is this called something else? Please lemme know I'm new to this stuff ^^'

Fu Shen from Golden Terrace/Golden Stage

Submission 1: Fu Shen's leg is broken in battle. He has to use a brace and a wheelchair while he recovers.

Submission 2: 

Crippled legs/wheelchair bound for most of the novel  propaganda: The prologue of the novel is him basically suffering an assassination attempt which crippled his legs horribly when a bunch of rocks fall on him. Despite being wheelchair bound for most of the novel (he later gets these like leg exoskeleton support things but he can't wear them for more than a few hours or something and still has to use the wheelchair), he's still depicted as being just as badass and respected. His men still hold him in high regard, and he still goes around investigating shit and even once using a crossbow to take someone down. He also uses people underestimating him now that he's crippled to his advantage. His love interest is also incredibly sweet and remodels his whole estate to be wheelchair accessible right before he moves in after they're married.

Submission: Jing Weiyi's leg was broken when he fell off a horse when he was young. Afterwards, he walked with a limp for many years. 

Ji Yushi from Mist [Unlimited]

Submission: Hyperthymesia... Basically, he can remember almost everything, and while that helps some in the scenarios of the novel, it also has a huge detrimental effect on him, and he needs pills to calm his mind and such. I'm not sure if it really counts as a disability, especially since there are less than a hundred people with this in real life, but I think it should count for this tournament since it's neurodivergence and such. 

Kim Kiryeo from The Hunter of the Other World Who Is Being Misunderstood

Submission: Kiryeo has a badly healed leg injury which makes it difficult for him to walk and impossible to run, lungs damaged by smoking that heavily limit his physical ability, lung cancer that causes him to cough up blood occasionally and a severe depression to the point of memory loss. He couldn't receive treatment for his leg and cancer due to the lack of money and in the end gave up on it and started to smoke to cope.

Shen Qingqiu from The Scum Villain’s Self-Saving System

Submission: Chronic illness. SQQ is poisoned by a fictional poison literally named “without a cure.�� In universe his condition is treated much like a chronic illness that requires constant monitoring and maintenance (medication, check-ups and regular qi infusions) in order to keep in check. Even when he adheres to his treatment regime, it still has unpredictable flare-ups that could put him in serious danger if they happen at the wrong time. The flare-ups (which happen randomly and vary in length unless he receives medical aid) completely block his ability to use qi thus making in-universe actions that are normal/habitual for most his peers (such as flying) much more risky for him.

ALS before he transmigrated (hopefully this counts, it's big part of his character as a doctor and he thinks about it a lot, and he even gets panicky in his new body when his limbs go numb!!) It's also not explicitly said but he's very autistic coded and canonically has a hard time understanding metaphors, communicating with other people/understanding others emotions, and when he's reading about medicine or doing experiments he hyperfixates and doesn't do anything else for the entire day. When he's with others he gets so anxious he ends up putting on a stern face, so people think he's scary when he's internally panicking

He also gets a wheelchair at a certain point and he's so happy about it 🥺  He's also, like, such a vibrant and charming character. Hes soooooo annoying(affection and approval) and so over the top and i support him in everything. Also lets not forget that he has a tiny noodle form and curled around his bf's wrist like a bracelet. this lives rent free in my head what a move

hey welcome back to My Jellyjam Madness part, uh, like 25

anyway, here’s more headcanons about one of my favorite books, I’ve already done one for Buddy specifically, but he’ll be included here again just because I love him that much 😀

although, this time, it’ll be about a bunch of the other characters as well (I don’t really have any drawings for this cause I didn’t really feel like it unfortunately, but hey, I bet this will still be fun-) sooooooo enough rambling, HERE WE GO-

(well- two more things, one, I have to thank the Character Headcanon Generator for providing some of these, I’ll specify which ones were from that, and two, cws/tws are in the tags, as always)

Of course we should start with the main protagonist, miss Wendy herself-

Wendy kind of finds it weird that she doesn’t have a mouth, but she would probably love Hello Kitty anyways

Speaking of cats, Wendy doesn’t exactly dislike them, but she does get a little nervous around cats

Wendy also dislikes any sort of animals that were/are kinda considered ‘gross’

Whenever Wendy has a hair scrunchy, she likes to put it around her wrist until she has to use it, and sometimes just wears them as accessories

Despite Elliot annoying her, Wendy really does care about him and his well being, a lot

Wendy is very observant to things she finds interesting

Wendy tries to not think about the whole incident, but she’s just glad most of the people involved were okay after

I like to think Wendy kept in touch with Diedre, Ivy and Jan after it all ended

Next up, of course, is Wendy’s goofy a$$ brother, Elliot

Elliot doesn’t exactly have a favorite sport or game, he just takes whatever sport/game you throw at him, and he’ll probably like it (if he wins, of course-)

Elliot kept the King Coin Buddy gave him (and even the other five) as, uh, ‘souvenirs’

Elliot doesn’t own a single pair of matching socks (CHG)

Elliot doesn’t swear, obviously, but the one time he accidentally did, he made a ‘pact’ with Wendy for her not to tell anyone- (he had to give her some of his Halloween candy)

The incident didn’t scare Elliot too much, but he still doesn’t like to talk about when he had to see (and smell-) King Jellyjam

Elliot did, in fact, not complain about his dad’s garden fertilizer again-

BUDDY TIME ‼️‼️‼️

Buddy kinda has a ‘preppy’, bouncy walk (CHG)

Buddy has a slightly older brother named Robert (the only reason the camp wasn’t given to him instead is because he was busy preparing for college)

I know the whole ‘Buddy is between the ages of 17-18’ thing probably isn’t true but I still like to think it is anyway- so he’s 18

Buddy’s birthday is somewhere in February (haven’t decided exactly when lol)

Buddy is more of a dog person, he especially loves golden retrievers because they remind him of his hair-

Buddy kinda had some weird side effects after being freed from King JJ’s hypnosis, like only saying ‘Only the Best’ for a few days, aggressive shaking, uncontrollable crying sometimes, vomiting some weird purple stuff, etc.

not sure about this one cause it’s kinda disturbing, but I kinda like to think that Buddy’s brain was literally melting while being hypnotized, which is why he was acting all weird after he was freed (luckily, he has since recovered)

Buddy gained a giant bruise on his chest after the whole softball bat incident, but didn’t realize until after he was freed and went home, of course

Due to all the guilt he felt, Buddy had considered … y’know, ending it all before, although, luckily, he had never acted upon these thoughts

Buddy is secretly closeted, cause y’know, mid-90s (nah I’m just kidding …… maybe) (CHG)

Alright, to end this off, here’s a section for some of the other characters (mostly King JJ)

Jeff was one of the ones who cried the most when all the children were freed, although, he’ll never admit that to anyone who didn’t see

The only way King Jellyjam can properly communicate with people is through his hypnosis victims’ minds, his voice is deep, kind of ‘royal’ sounding and it’s also gargled

King JJ’s favorite candle scent is a specific grape soda candle

King JJ wasn’t as huge as he was by y’know, his end when he first met Buddy, he was only about half the size of a house

Holly helped Buddy the most when he was going through all the side effects, and even helped tie the tie he wore at the end of the book

Hey, I'm wondering - what do you consider as requests? Because it says in your pinned post that requests are closed, but you've been responding to quite a few detailed asks from anons that I'd personally count as requests (since they're asking you to write about a specific thing). So if you don't mind, could you tell us what's the line that we shouldn't cross when requests are closed? Like what counts as a request and what's okay to ask.

Hey there anon! Yeah, I figured me answering a bunch of asks would raise questions when I say requests are closed lol, I don’t mind clarifying this out!

So requests to me are when someone asks me to write out an actual one-shot or fanfic piece including ideas or concepts they want me to incorporate. So for example someone will send me an ask saying the following:

Hi! Can you write about Leon doing x,y, and z incorporating [concepts they want]. Thank you!

Obviously that’s a very general example, but if someone asks me to write a full fic out, that’s a request. If someone were to send me something like that (which I haven’t gotten yet), I won’t answer it cause chances are I’ll have a fic idea already saved that would have these things anyway, and believe me I have a lot of ideas. Getting requests also overwhelms me and gives me anxiety so I just decided to close them from the start.

All of these asks I’ve been answering are more so thirst messages or headcanon thoughts people want expanded on. For these asks, I can easily crank out 500-700 word responses, which come off the top of my head.

The answers to these asks for the most part don’t take much thought or energy (unless I’m really tired), hence why I answer them the way I do. Plus, my brain never really stops working, I’m always thinking about ideas when it comes to Leon so I don’t mind writing something without the strain of making a fic.

My own qualifications and thought process for one-shot/fics take a lot more energy and it’s far more extensive (brainstorming, outlining, formatting, making aesthetically pleasing, etc). For these asks, I don’t have enough creative juice to sit and write 2.0k words (usually my benchmark for what I consider a fic), so I shorten it down to something that’s bite-sized (for me because my actual fics are much longer). Sometimes, I end up writing more than I expected so these asks can turn into drabble pieces too (sometimes they overlap with analysis posts).

I also have analysis asks based on very specific concepts for Leon’s character, which involve a whole separate way of thinking. I actually do research and use my brain when making analysis posts, hence why I categorize them differently from everything else. (I use the ovaryacted thoughts tag for all character analysis posts).

I do have some asks that I haven’t answered yet because I’m saving them for a one-shot piece down the road. Though the person who sent me the message might not have explicitly asked me to do that, I found the ideas interesting enough to incorporate them in a fic I wanted to write anyway. I already have a very long WIP list and enough ideas to write the fics I want without needing to feed off of someone else’s brainstorm. So I just don’t take requests, but all of these asks are what I consider thirst posts and they can be sent at any time.

I’m sorry this was so long, but I have a lot of ways I differentiate the things I write cause this is just how my brain works. I hope this helps and answers your questions!

Like, actively? Cause uh, I'm the kind of person who needs to finish the fic before I can post it, and so I'm currently in the process of a whole bunch of fics that I haven't yet posted. Those are Gunsmoke (radio version), MASH, Star Wars: Legends + Star Wars: prequels, Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and the DCU (but more like, specifically the all media types of Batman and Superman specifically)

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

I try to! Recently I haven't been as good about keeping up with them because of my chronic illness stuff, but when I have a good day I try to get them done :) I think it's really fun to connect with people who have similar tastes as I do, and get to discuss headcanons or plot points or what have you!!

6. What is a fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

I don't usually write things that end on angst, I usually aim for hurt/comfort or at least some form of hopeful ending. I've been told that Missing Memories is my angstiest fic, but I think that title is actually held by Pompeii (If You Close Your Eyes) (song fic)

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

I'd say if i were to save you, would you do the same (kylux). It's the whole surviving against all odds and then looking toward the future thing, you know?

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Not on Ao3, but I have on ff.net. It's been a few years since those days though!

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

I do!! I just don't post it, for reasons related to I haven't finished the fics in question yet lol. I try to write it as a way for the characters to explore each other and connect on a different level beyond the usual grime and gore and horror of the worlds they live in.

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?

So. I don't have any posted yet oh no I've said this like five times by now ahh, however I have plot bunnies for a MASH/Star Wars: prequels crossover, and I just started plotting out a Gunsmoke/DCU crossover. I think the Gunsmoke/DCU one is crazier exclusively because it's a very tiny fandom for a radio/TV show from the 50's mixed with the whole Batman and Superman fandoms, which. Kind of a large set of fandoms there ngl

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

I have no idea. Probably, but I haven't heard about it.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Nope.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

I did the 2021 Kylux Big Bang with @viraaja and the 2021 Obikin Big Bang with @skittlles !! I'd love to do more work with others at some point, genuinely wonderful experiences!

14. What's your all-time favourite ship?

Is it a cop out to say I just don't have one? I never really leave a fandom, even once I'm not actively writing for it, I just kind of cycle through them, so I cycle through my ships accordingly. Maybe PruCan (Hetalia), if only because they're my oldest otp??

15. What's a wip you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?

Well. Ideally none of them. I have every intention of eventually finishing everything I'm currently writing, hence why I refuse to post them until they're done. That said, I've been sitting on several mostly-finished fics for like three+ years without actively working on them so. We'll see.

16. What are your writing strengths?

I've been told my characterisation is really good, and I try to get as accurate a voice as I can for every character!!!

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Repeating phrases and words without intending to. I used that exact word three times in like three paragraphs in a row, why am I like this!

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

Two thoughts: if you know enough of the language to have proper grammar and etc sure go for it, but also, is it being used with or without translation? If no one else is supposed to understand (besides the reader), I think that's very fun and 10/10, but if the other characters are supposed to understand and it's a lengthy bit, I think there can be other more effective ways to get that across.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Phineas and Ferb, and honestly I regret deleting those fics so so much now! I have no records of my writing from back then, and yes I found them cringe as an older teenager but now I just wish I could go back and tell my 13 year old self how far we've come.

Whatever is most recently finished. Right now that's but when i'm alone on the longest nights, i think of you and your fairy lights :)

it’s usually fun for him and his friends if he’s chill, but Eren is quite the opinionated person

as if it’s a surprise 🙄

the second way — he’s a ticking time bomb. he will get into arguments over the tiniest things, yelling and throwing drinks and wagging fingers in people’s face

the worst thing is that he does it for shits and giggles smh (same tho 🌝)

it usually ends in someone having to drag him out before the cops show up for Eren causing a public disturbance lmao

Jean throws a fit because he was 🤏 close into getting a date, but Eren had to ruin it

they get into an argument and somehow they make Connie’s tiny car seem even smaller 😓

occasionally, Levi will join them for breakfast or something but has a dissatisfied expression on his face 🙄

it’s just people from the past wanting to talk about the past, and I know Jean gets embarrassed and uncomfortable bc he thinks he was a little shit as a kid lol

and his mom probably dotes on him a lot bc Jean is known for having a track record of being ✨friendless✨

and it probably annoys the crap out of him (cue that one scene from his ova 😀)

Okay, so trying to choose ONE character is really hard... I'm going to go with Mikey from TR because he's my current fave lol

He can be incredibly loyal, especially when he's younger. He will throw down with anyone that talks shit or hurts his gang or any of it's members. Of course, loses this some over time as he gets darker

He's beautiful, and adorable, no matter which timeline Mikey it is. Looks wise, my least favorite is serial killer!Mikey cause black hair looks weird on him, as black hair often does on blonds. My fave is either first!timeline adult Mikey, or pre-serial killer Mikey, when he has the short blond hair.

He loves deeply and fiercely. This is why he breaks a little more every time he loses someone, until his final loss and he gives in completely to the darkness. His inability to deal with his lost loved ones is the corner stone of why he goes dark (even with the revelations of the last few chapters)

He's so badass, but like, super childish at the same time? He rides the fine like between capability and being taken care of. Like he can stand up and be independent, and is the BOSS, but if there are others around that will wait on him, he will take advantage lol

His ambition and leadership qualities. Mikey knows himself, he knows the darkness and knows the path he's headed towards -- it was the path he chose. Because he knows himself, and because he's loyal and loves his friends, he leaves them to keep them safe, mostly from himself.

Mikey is so complex, but at his heart, he's a loyal, loving boy/man that was hurt over and over until he was forced to harden himself to survive. He's childish in some cases (mostly when he's a 14/15 year old baby), but he grows through out the course of the series (sadly, just not for the better). He lost literally everyone closest to him, and really is a product of a life of tragedy and pain. This is why I think he's one of most sympathetic villains I've ever read, and the mangaka has done a great job with the story telling, for the most part.

I actually headcanon him as pan rip

Buuuut bi Kai is great because it rhymes!

Anyways hc Kai is very casually close to people, he’ll jokingly act flirty around the og ninja in like a show offy way because he is a show off that’s it.

He thinks Cole is hot af in the pilots although it doesn’t affect him too much (mentally he just refers to him as “that hot buff guy”).

A lot of ppl see him as a ladies man and like yes but also if he’s a ladies man then why he no got a lady yet /hj

He’ll chat up anyone, he’s actually the team charisma. This is why he considers himself the looks of the team in s9, and he’s very good at acting in s4 and he’s good with kids so yeah he’s the charisma people person of the team. And so another one of his tricks is being an excellent flirt.

The team grew kinda immune to this after a while. He used to be able to fluster Jay very easily (because Jay is a bi disaster who didn’t even realise he was bi), and fluster Cole a little (Cole is gay and demiromantic and he doesn’t have as big of a reaction because he wanted to maintain his stoic leader image).

However Kai’s flirting never worked on Zane because Zane didn’t know what flirting was (no memories, no people to call family before the ninja). Zane just thought this was a normal interaction with little meaning behind it so Zane would follow up WITH AN ACCIDENTALLY BIGGER FLIRT.

*on a mission trying to locate something*

Kai: Zane can you give me directions! *realises flirt opportunity* …to your heart!!

Zane: take three steps due north and *pulls Kai closer and takes his hand and puts it on his chest* this is where my power core is located :]

Kai: *staring at his his hand which is now on Zane’s chest* that’s… not what I meant…

This is awful for Kai because his type is people who don’t actually fawn over him. He likes the cool and collected and so Zane unknowingly makes Kai super flustered instead. After a while, in s3 Zane finally works out what flirting is and thinks realises that he’s able to make Kai flustered, which is very funny. Zane’s continues to flirt back on purpose without telling Kai he knows.

Also Kai flirts with Pixal as a joke and she’s just unamused. They have a good friendship and it’s usually when Kai’s driving and Pixal is speaking over comms. He’ll compliment her to try and convince her to let him do what he wants and she’s just “you know that won’t work on me so why do you even bother, fire ninja?”

Kai had a crush on Skylor but Skylor didn’t actually like him back. At first she was just using him in the tournaments, and then came to respect him, then told her father she liked him in order to save Kai although she wasn’t actually sure. She had a lot of things going on with realising she was the bad guy and her father trying to hurt her, and at the end of the season she just needed a break and set up the noodle shop instead. Kai was a little disappointed but ultimately they’re good friends either way and he supports her in finding herself.

Skylor maybe realising she’s a lesbian and Kai giving her flirting pointers? (Considering she’s lived on an island her whole life)

Kai never had a concept of straight as a kid because he mostly grew up with only Nya and so he wasn’t really exposed to heteronormativity. When the other ninja asked him about his sexuality, he was confused.

Kai: hot people.

But he kinda understands now and feels like bi/pan is a good enough descriptor. He doesn’t care that much tho.

He does how buy pride stuff. He’s got lots of capes (trans flag, bi flag, rainbow pride flag) because pride capes are pretty awesome.

Also Jay once made friendship bracelets for pride once so (jay dabbles in arts and crafts) so he has trans and pan friendship bracelets that he’ll sometimes wear in his down time (not on missions though because they’ll catch fire)

Also he’s the biggest supporter of all his friends. Lloyd is ace and very greyromantic (he’s mostly aro but there will be some exceptions) so when anyone flirts with Lloyd Kai will slidddee in and say “yeah my friend isn’t into dating… I on the other hand!”

Kai helps Jay work through his own sexuality crisis.

Kai is a protector of queer kids. He’s a big brother to all kids and when he was a teacher, he never tolerated any discrimination and would reassure his students as well as try to explain lgbtq stuff to queerphobic students. Since he was a history teacher, he dedicated one of his lessons to teach about queer history. He also puts bi stickers in his room to let ppl know he’s openly bi, to let ppl know that being lgbtq is very accepted in his classroom.

ah i see how that'd be confusing! that was a "nobody knows AU" (which was probs easy to miss me saying that with all that text i added to the post).

basically, it's a fandom-known au where, well, as its says on the tin: nobody knows Danny's the phantom. the reason i drew that AU was because I'm doing DannyMay, a phandom event where throughout all of May, we follow a list of themed prompts for the full month.

my AU is more so my "take" on the show's story, blending fanon and canon. aspects of my take have some fanon headcanons (some are my own, but most are common fanon):

hi! thank you for the ask,, I love talking about my hcs for Gar and his relationships with other characters lol

for Jane (if she was in the Titansverse that is), I can't imagine she was very happy when she learned Chief brought a kid to Doom Manor and that it was his next "save" because they all know what it really means when Chief "saves" someone. He probably caused their accident and now is gonna use/treat them like an animal.

Ya know, "not being very happy" is an understatement. Jane would be PISSED. She's extremely protective of children because of what happened to her. And then here's the Chief strolling back into the manor with some sickly, terrified-looking thirteen year old boy with green hair at his side, that he informed will be living with them now. If that didn't make her upset, learning that Chief completely stripped this kid's humanity away and turned him into something beyond science's understanding, ruining an innocent kid's childhood, sure would make her want to put her fist through Chief's face.

I can see her threatening Chief too, telling him if she finds out he's been using Gar as a lab rat or gets his gross hands anywhere near him for anything besides check ups on his powers, she'll bash his face into the pavement.

since Jane is permanently in her 20s, she'd be the member closest to Gar's age (13 at arrival) so she takes up the role of big - probably.. maybe.. not the best influence - sister, who makes sure Chief stays the fuck in line.

Out of all the Doom Patrol's powers I always thought Gar's matched Jane's in a sort of way since he also has a bunch of different beings living inside him that are able to affect his thoughts/actions. They're just animals with their own feelings and thoughts instead of differently personalities.

and since Gar went years without having his powers, he was very overwhelmed and scared when they started giving him animal urges and the animals themselves began to communicate with him in their way. Because only Jane could put herself in his shoes, understand how he was feeling- at least a little, she was the one to help him quiet all the voices in his head and teach him how to live with it since his powers aren't going anywhere.

For the chaotic hcs:

-Gar's favorite swear of "bullshit" he picked up from Jane. She said it A LOT, especially to Cliff. Like she and Cliff will be arguing about something, Jane will end it with "That's such bullshit, Cliff. Fuck off, you metal dick!" before leaving and Gar, who was in the room, has to add "It was bullshit, man", which makes Cliff snap at him with "Don't you start, you little shit!" and then Gar follows after Jane with a dumb grin on his face.

-Jane taught Gar how to sneak out and very much encouraged him to keep doing it with a "Niles can go fuck himself, go out and have fun" and would add "If you need me to buy you a 6 pack or anything else, I will" which Gar always declined. When Gar started filling his room with stolen stuff and Jane found out, she just gave him a fist bump, telling him "Keep up the good work, your room looks sick". then suggested easy places to steal from.

-And speaking of sneaking out, Gar would often follow Jane when she'd leave Doom Manor and join in whatever she was doing.. sometimes. If what she was doing is something he's comfortable with, he'll join, but stand and ignore it if he wasn't.

now onto Jinx, there isn't as much as Jane but I can see her getting a kick out of messing with people but gets annoyed when she can't get under Dick or Rachel's skin, so moves onto the softie Gar Logan, sure she'll be able to bug him. Surprise, surprise, she can't bug Gar because Gar is also secretly just as chaotic as her and isn't bothered by her jabs at all.

So instead of Jinx seeing him as someone to mess with, she lowkey sees him as a teammate and lets him add his sarcastic comments and jokes after hers, which gets on Dick's nerves.

If they went on a duo mission, something would probably be caught on fire or blown up, even if by accident. Like Jinx would call Nightwing, tell him "Hey Grayson, something happened on our mission and now we're stuck in an elevator" and in the background Gar is laughing his ass off because he's the reason they're in that situation. If something chaotic and dumb was gonna happen on a mission, it'd be to them. Neither Gar nor Jinx have the best luck.

While Rachel and Tim are investigating the proper way, Jinx would be spray painting "if you're evil and a part of a cult please call this number, I wanna join" on a building's wall while Gar helps.

Dick and Kory wouldn't like how Jinx is influencing Gar and Rachel would be jealous (in a "hey, wait, that's my best friend" way, not a romantic way) Gar has buddied up with someone else to joke around with instead of her.

if Gar was a villain, he and Jinx could absolutely be partners in crime tbh so i'mma add Jinx to the list of villains Gar would vibe with, right below Poison Ivy, who's definitely number one.

Underused Character / Not Enough Screen Time / Who needs more Love? 🧡

Holy smokes is TOS Gordon ever slept on! They dutifully bring him out for the Customary Water Mission, but it's truly a rare day that he makes an appearance without some moisture. The only one that comes to mind is when they need him to shoot a bunch of guys in the Perils of Penelope, which is cool and all, but there's more eps when he's just like, chillin' in the background or asking to be involved before being shot down (especially the Are Go movie, his token role in that is such a limp consolation prize it makes me feral!)

Who needs more Love? / The Show got it WRONG! / Everyone but Me is Wrong about it! 💛

When it comes to TAG Gordon also being underappreciated, it's a slightly different flavour. Like, he's much more active in TAG than TOS, and it's fairer that there are episodes without ANY of him at all, 'cause it's like a rota and everyone gets a turn (in theory). Though there was a rash of Gordon-free eps in S2 that I remember angering me back when the show was airing. But no, it's not as much the screen time that was an issue, but them not properly using him. For instance, an early episode was sooo delish and beautifully crafted... but then, oopsie! They go and forget to use cues from that to inform his character in the later seasons! (It varies, it's not like it completely gets sucked into a black hole, but for the most part...)

This is where I get into the The Show Got It Wrong [my note says SOMETIMES lmao] -- As he's the Jokey Character, they sometimes lean too hard on him not taking things seriously, examples including filling his on 'Bird with food wrappers (this one drives me mad!!) or spraying canned cheese into floating orbs inside TB3. Like, Come On! He's still a professional rescue worker and would know better than to clutter up the billion dollar machines up with food debris! RAAAAGHHH ...and another dumb thing with the bad s3 ep with Garbage Collecting for fun and profit being something he knows of but doesn't try to dissaude others from doing it when there's life and limb risk, maaaaaan. RESCUE. WORKER!!! IT'S HIS JOOOOOB and PASSION. (Overlaps with Everyone but Me is wrong lmao)

But what I love, I love so much! The excellent ep I reference has him instantly connect with a trapped kid [with injured father] and help walk him through little things they can do while they wait for him to reach them. Another ep near the finale where a nonverbal boy latches onto him and Gordon sets up part of TB4 to show him the holoprojection stuff. Basically Gordon + Children = Fantabulous Times lol

Headcanons I Love / I WANT MORE! 🧡

As for TOS, it's similar in that I love him being The Funny One, the crack shot and also the most fashionable of the Bros. I enjoy the (Supplementary material only, lol) extra backstory of WASP and the notorious Hydrofoil Crash a lot even though I ain't so big on WASP itself lol. I've found myself liking the notion that he's actually more in love with The Sea than any other romantic interest in this continuity (though he'd totally be Bi if humans were his type!).

max.note’s: for clarification, these are just a bunch of random headcanons about the boys + girls of hq and their physical appearance? does that make sense? ahhh it’ll make sense once you read it, enjoy!

- out of all the boys in hq, oikawa has the prettiest + longest eyelashes!! and that shit is natural. they flutter in the wind like butterfly wings what the fuck. and sometimes, he’ll put a little bit of that clear mascara to make them look LONGER. because he knows.

- bokuto... he has stretch marks. and no one can tell me otherwise, like, have you seen him? he’s so... big?? and muscular??? he most likely has them on his tiddies, thighs, hips and butt. and he doesn’t care about them!! as he should >:(  bokuto probably wears clothes to flaunt them. and he calls them tiger stripes pLEASE

- kuroo has nice feet. and you wanna know why? because gets them done, REGULARLY!!! he goes to the salon every two to three weeks. and because he goes so often, he’s got his own designated nail tech. kuroo is boujee like that. and sometimes, if he’s feelings a little adventurous... he’ll get clear nail polish on them–– if he feeling EXTRA adventurous, he’ll wear a natural pink color, that way it isn’t too noticeable. 

- lev waxes his leg hair! he just appreciates the feeling of smooth legs (honestly... who doesn’t lol) at first i think he’ll try shave his legs, but he’s clumsy and he either cuts himself too many times or misses patches of hair. so his sister suggested waxing! he hated it at first but got used to it overtime. so now, him and alisa get their legs regularly together uwu

- yachi has a thigh gap and she’s really insecure about it. she thinks it makes her legs look skinnier than they already do, but miss kiyoko herself is there to reassure her that she’s beautiful just the way she is 

- sakusa is definitely those people who have a 10-step nightly skincare routine, but it pays off cause his face is so... flawless >:( i don’t think he really has terrible acne either (he’s an athlete too, so he most likely has a very particular diet and only drinks water + teas, his system is clean!!) so he only really does it because he likes the feeling of a clean face!

- this information is already canon, but, kageyama files his nails. meaning, his has pretty finger nails uwu. he makes his sister do the extra work and remove the his cuticles! so his nail beds are also pretty..

- ushijima has the nicest collarbones like, they are so defined please mr. wakatoshi ushijima, hand in marriage? i don’t have any other words, other than the fact that his collarbones were sculpted by michelangelo himself. 

- yamaguchi struggles with acne, + he hates it more cause his freckles accentuate them more. oh, the many times he’s been called “pizza face” or had someone play “connect the dots” on his face. poor baby :( but it wasn’t till he started high school where he was introduced to skin care and different products that could help with his skin. he started care of his face more, drinking more water + changed his diet. when he noticed the difference, it greatly boosted his self esteem.
