Power is back on! Now we can enjoy the snow with all the comforts of civilization. My favorite thing is to see the porch lights of neighbors scattering the hillsides on a snowy evening.

Complementary chapter
Thank, you all for waiting so patiently!! Let's see what Lex and Ari do, shall we? 👀
In this chapter:  ⚰ 🦇 lol
Content/Content warnings for this chapter: Aftermath of torture
***
He looked completely like a corpse now, chest still, eyes glazed over and open, completely motionless. Rendered totally immobile and helpless at his own request. The amount of trust it took to let them do that…
We've got you, sweet boy. Thank you for trusting us.
He really did look like a corpse. Maybe this was where the meritless idea of a vampire rising up from a coffin, of being undead, had originated. If Lex had come across him like this without knowing anything else, she probably would have assumed he was dead and buried him. And if he'd been at full strength, he might have been able to dig himself out. And Lex would have reacted with shock and horror when the corpse she'd laid to rest came back to life, even more so if it'd done it to come feed on the blood of the living…no wonder humans and vampires had such poor relations. He was, objectively, a very scary and dangerous thing.
Lex wiped the blood off the back of his neck where they’d cut in to sever his spinal cord, then wrapped soft gauze around the injury, winding it all the way around his neck for good measure, to have something between the bare metal of the collar and his irritated skin.  His neck was an inflamed red color from the metal constantly rubbing on it over the past months–it wouldn’t be a problem if he was fully fed, but as it stood now it must be really uncomfortable.
God, she felt so bad about him being stuck walking around with Nick’s metal collar still padlocked on his neck.  They’d have to figure out a way to get that off ASAP.
Jerome came in with a sleeping bag, suggesting they could slide him into it and zip it up. Like a little worm. It would keep the sun off him, as well as pad him against bumps. Not that he could feel it.
Ari unzipped the sleeping bag and laid it out on the ground, and she and Lex moved his body onto it.  Jerome got a shit-eating grin on his face and crossed Valen’s arms over his chest like one would for a corpse at a funeral, and Lex batted his hands away.
Ari zipped it up, then hauled him over her shoulder.  “Thanks again for the help, guys.  We really appreciate it.”
“Maybe we’ll come over to your place tomorrow to check on him, yeah?” said Jerome.
“Sure!” said Lex.  “That sounds great.  If you’re willing to help feed him…?”
Bailey gave a thumbs up.  “Of course!  My guy needs to put on some weight, fucking STAT.”
They waved goodbye one last time and took him out to the van.  “I hate to suggest this,” Ari said, “but maybe we just put him back in the coffin, so he doesn’t roll around.”
Lex grimaced.  “Yeah…there’s probably not enough room up in the cab with us.”
Ari stepped up into the bed of the van and opened the coffin, laying him gently inside and shutting the lid, but not locking it.
“We need to give this thing back to Nick,” Ari grumbled.  “I’m getting tired of fucking looking at it.  The coffin, I mean,” she rushed to clarify.
Lex kept glancing in the rearview mirror all the way home.  Every instinct in her brain was telling her that the person they had back there was dead, that something was terribly wrong with the situation, but she forced herself to engage her higher brain functions that knew what vampires were to calm down.
It was almost evening by the time they got home, but they weren’t scheduled to work that night, so they had plenty of time.  Ari removed Valen from the coffin and toted him up the stairs and into the house.
“There we go,” she said, laying the sleeping bag out on the floor and unzipping it.  “Nice and safe at home, just like we promised.”
Lex looked at him, motionless and hurt, but alive, on the floor surrounded by his belongings Lex had been trying to figure out what to do with a few hours ago, flush with relief.  “Thank God.  If he’d actually died, I don’t know how I could have lived with myself.”
“Yeah…” Ari said.  She elbowed Lex.  “If you still wanna talk about not being vampire hunters anymore, we can still have that conversation.”
Lex knelt on the floor glumly.  “Maybe.  I don’t wanna make decisions like that while we’re upset.  C’mon, help me lift him.”
They got one end each and lifted him into bed.  “Do you think he was serious about us changing him into the ducky pajamas?” Lex asked, trying to hide the eagerness in her voice.
Ari shrugs.  “Dunno.  He doesn’t seem shy about being undressed, so maybe.”
Lex sat on the bed and started unpeeling all the layers of clothes off him, wrangling his deadweight limbs until his shirt was off.  She hesitated at the sports bra and eventually decided to leave it on.  She did the same with his underwear and socks when she removed his torn pants and shoes, and then struggled to get the pajamas on him, buttoning them up.
“There,” said Lex.  “Cozy, right?”
Ari nodded from where she was sitting in the easychair.  “Looks good.  Maybe we should leave a note, in case we’re upstairs or something when he wakes up.”
“Good thinking.”  Lex got a notebook and a sharpie and wrote YOU ARE SAFE, YOU DO NOT NEED TO TRY AND RUN AWAY.  YELL FOR US IF YOU NEED HELP. -LEX
She put it on the end table by the pullout couch, then dug in Valen’s forgotten bag for the one book he’d apparently judged worth bringing with him, setting it out next to him.  Then, she pulled the comforter up to his chest, pulling a pillow under his head.  “Goodnight, I guess.”
***
They woke up later not to a yell, but a scream, the panic-induced wail of someone in mortal peril.
Lex was out of bed immediately, dashing downstairs to the living room.  Two reflective discs of red light swung towards her as she stepped inside, and from the darkness there was the flash of fangs.  “Get away!” snarled a monstrous voice.
The haze of persuasion fell over her brain.  It was like someone dimming the lights in her brain.  She twitched in place, fighting to take back control of her body, in full blown panic after almost dying the last time she’d been put under persuasion.
Her body moved without her input or consent, pivoting on her heel and walking out of the room.  Then, the puppet strings on her body detached, and she slumped, falling over, pulse racing, far more scared than the mild nature of the experience merited.
She’d almost died the last time that’d happened.  Her body locked up, and she fell to her knees.  From the next room, Valen started to cry loudly.
Ari finally arrived, hustling down the stairs.  “Lex, are you okay?”
She looked up at Ari with eyes wide, and nodded.
Ari bent down and took her hand.  “You okay?”
“Um,” she said shakily.  “Yeah, I–I’m okay.  Sorry.”
Ari furrowed her brow.  “Did he use persuasion on you?”
She nodded tearily.
“All right.  You’re okay.”
“It was an accident, Ari,” Lex begged.  “I think.  He–he just got scared, it was a reflex, he released me right away.  It didn’t hurt me, I just–I just got scared.”
Ari put both hands on her shoulders and squeezed.  “All right.  Breathe, Lex.”
“Don’t hurt him.”
“I’m not going to hurt him, calm down.”
Lex pouted.  Ari sighed.  “All right.  Go make yourself some calming tea, okay?”
Lex padded into the kitchen, listening to Ari go into the living room and talk to Valen distantly.  Her voice was low and soothing, and his shrill and nervous.
Lex wanted to go in and help, too, but she’d lost her nerve, charging in and then getting rebuffed so thoroughly.  She sat there as the water boiled, then poured herself a cup, staring into the tea bag as it suffused the water.
Valen sounded so scared, it broke her heart.  But of course he would be scared.  Why wouldn’t he be?  He was as vulnerable as a vampire could get–starved except for a few feedings gotten into him, unable to walk, surrounded by vampire hunters–the same ones that had put him in this situation, even.  The only weapon he had to help himself could only be deployed as an absolute last resort, because it could be taken away at the drop of a hat if they decided he was somehow still too dangerous.  All it would take would be to-
“Please don’t put the muzzle back on!  Please don’t!”  Valen’s terrified cry came out of the next room.
Ari shushed him.  “Calm down,” she said firmly.  “I’m not going to.  Calm down.  It’s okay.”
Lex padded into the room with her mug of tea, to see Ari sitting on the edge of the bed, holding Valen firmly as tears rolled down his cheeks.
“I’m sorry I used persuasion on you,” Valen sobbed.  “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to. It was an accident, please believe me.  I won’t do it again.  Please don’t put the muzzle back on, I promise I don’t need it to behave, please please.”
“It’s okay,” Ari said.  “We just took you out of six months of being brutally tortured a few days ago.  We understand you’re scared.  You understand why using persuasion is an issue though, right?  You know not to use it because it feels bad for us, not just because it’ll make us mad at you, right?”
“Yes, I understand, I promise I understand.”
“Okay.  Just.  Just calm down.”
“What are you afraid of?” Lex prompted.  “Like, what do you think is going to happen?”
Valen grabbed his chest, hyperventilating.
"Take it easy," Ari soothed. "You're safe. How do we make you feel safe? What do you want us to do?"
"I'm not sure," Valen said, tears springing in his eyes.
“Okay, that’s okay,” Lex said.  She set her mug on the end table and sat on the bed, next to Valen, putting a comforting hand on his thigh over the blanket.  “Is there anyone you want to call?  I know you said you didn’t want your husband to come get you after all, but is there anyone else you trust?  Family?  Friends?  So you’re not just stuck here with us?  We want to help you however we can.”
“We’re not trying to hold you prisoner,” Ari said.  “Just to make that clear again.  We know you didn’t do anything wrong, and we’re trying to help you get better, that’s all.”
Valen drew his hands to his chest, quaking, eyes brimming with tears.  “N-no, there’s no one.  I have no one.”
“You have us,” Lex said with a gentle touch on the arm.  “You’re not alone, I promise.  I promise we’re going to do whatever it takes to help you.”
He took a deep, shuddering breath.
“Did you have a nightmare?” Ari asked.  “Is that how you woke up?”
He nodded slowly.
“You look so tired,” Lex cooed.  It was true; the bags under his eyes were enormous.  “Is there anything we can do to help you sleep?”
He wrapped his arms around himself.  “I’m–I’m not sure.  Be-because, um…No, I don’t think so.”
“It’s okay, what is it?” Lex prompted.  “Is there something that will make you more comfortable?”
He let out a soft whine.  “The-the only time I wouldn’t be hurt was when I was in the coffin, and-and now it f-feels like I’m in-in danger when I’m out in the open, so-so I don’t-don’t know if I’ll ever be able to sleep again.”
“So you feel like you can’t sleep unless you’re inside the coffin?” Ari asked.
“Please don’t put me back inside there,” Valen wept.  “I can’t, I can’t go back in there no matter what, please please-”
Ari held up a hand, cutting him off.  “All right, all right, calm down.  So the point is you feel like you need to be in an enclosed space to feel safe, and that’s why you can’t sleep out in the open, is that it?”
He nodded tearily.
Ari clucked her tongue.  “Lex, you stay here with him.”  She gathered her coat and keys and wallet.
“What?” Lex said.  “Where are you going?”
“To the hardware store.”
***
Ari came back about an hour later with several different kinds of wood and 2x4s, which she promptly took downstairs where she kept her power tools.  Valen kept nervously asking Lex what Ari was doing over the sound of the circular saw grinding and wooden pieces falling to the ground, and Lex promised she’d go check.
When she came down there, she immediately saw what Ari was doing:  Making a wooden box for Valen to sleep in.  An actual coffin, to replicate the feeling of being in a safe, enclosed space, without actually trapping him.
She stepped down with a grin on her face.  “Oh, you’re a genius.” Ari winked at her.  “I know.”
“What should I do to help?”
Ari had Lex help with measuring and cutting things, the coffin taking shape surprisingly quickly.
Lex came back up a while later, telling Valen they needed to fold the couch back in, because they’d need the space in the living room soon.  Valen let himself be lifted gently and set in the easy chair.  The sound of nails pounding into wood came next, and Valen sat with his hands clutched fearfully to his chest listening to it as Lex folded the mattress back into the couch, gathering the blankets and pillows in her hands and bringing them downstairs.
She also went upstairs and looked at her collection of plushies, searching for the right one.
“Oh come on,” Ari said, when Lex brought a stuffed cat down.  “I’m sure he doesn’t want that.”
Lex set it inside next to the pillows.  “Well, if he doesn’t, he doesn’t have to use it.  I’m just giving him the option.”
Ari did not argue further.  They finished it before the sun came up, lining the inside of the coffin with enough blankets and pillows and padding for it to be comfortable, then adding a lock and handles.
“All right, bat boy,” Ari said, dragging the results of their work upstairs.  “Get ready to get your tits blown clean off.”
“Ari,” said Lex, trying to suppress her laugh.
It was a struggle to get it up the stairs because of the shape.  Huffing and puffing, they managed to shove it into the living room, dragging it by the handles across the floor, to where Valen was sitting in the easy chair looking scared and overwhelmed.
“How’s this look?” Ari said proudly.
Lex pulled it open to show the inside.  He leaned over, furrowing his brow, and he looked touched.  “You made that for me?”
“Yeah, man,” Ari said.  “Here you wanna try it out?”
He nodded.
Lex and Ari got one hand under him each, forming a sort of swing with their arms, and hefted him from the chair and into the coffin, laying him out gently.  He settled into it, crossing his arms over his chest even though there was plenty of room inside.
“How’s it feel?”
“It’s comfortable,” he said meekly.
Lex guided his hand towards the handle to pull it shut on himself.  She could still hear his ragged breathing.
“What do you think?” Ari said.
“This–this is good.”  His voice was muffled and uncertain from inside.  “Yes, I think this is good.”
“Try the lock.”
A clinking sound from inside.  Ari grabbed the handle and gave it a little tug, but it stayed shut.  “See?  Nice and secure.  Now how about you open it back up?”
Valen pushed the lid open, and it flopped onto the couch beside him.  “You wanna try sleeping in this?” Lex asked.
“Yes,” he said politely.  “Y-yes, I would like to try it.  Thank you.”
“Good.”  Ari patted him on the arm.  “You can open it and close it however you want, and if you start to get a little freaked out, you can just haul yourself up over the edge to get out, yeah?  And if you need anything, you can just yell for us, okay?”
“Yes,” he said, slowly pulling the coffin closed, obscuring his face little by little.  “Thank you.”

not me back on my castlevania bullshit. no one look at me 🫠
somebody better tell me why they made this man so beautiful, fuck i have to lay down
anyways don’t read under the cut if you’re a minor because it’s pure sin and i will manifest and steal your eyes from their sockets thx
thinkin ab first times with adrian mmmmmm this is long because i have no self control and this is purely for me, just self indulgent rambling bullshit
⚠️: past SA, restraints, intercourse (fem bodied reader), mentions of anxiety uhhh i think that’s it
Tumblr media
literally not me thinkin ab finally getting enough nerve to bed adrian for the first time, but noticing the hesitance in his form as he hovers over you, cock brushing against your slick cunt in a way that’s inadvertently teasing— the bastard.
but you can tell— he’s not ready, so you tell him, ignoring the burn in your loins, “adrian— we can stop.”
he kisses you once, twice, thrice— and then his sliver-lined tongue is lapping against yours in a way that sends your hips rocking against his in a jerky tempo— but it’s enough to make him shudder, hands tangling in your hair, sweet whines of your names falling from his pretty lips. you almost change your mind, deciding that you need adrian to just fuck you— but you aren’t the one so anxious you’re shaking.
you’re not sure where the thought comes from, but you’re speaking before you realize, “would you feel better if my hands were restrained?”
it’s what leads you to where you are now, arms spread open and immobile against his bed posts, tied up all tight and neat with some rope adrian had conjured. your thighs clench tight against his lean hips, garbled noises pulling from deep in your chest with each hit of his cock against your tender innermost parts.
you’re going to be so fucking sore tomorrow, but the slack jawed awe on his face as he watches his cock spear your saccharine insides open makes it worth it— you’d walk on hot coals if it meant that look on his beautiful features would stay.
and adrian— he’s melting. sweltering heat traveling up from the base of his spine, tingling down to his toes— you’re beautiful, and oh so helpless against the slow assault he has launched against you.
he’s whispering your name against the peak of your breast until it aches, and just when you start to whine he moves to the opposite— worshiping you like you’re a deity, a goddess that came to bless him and only him. part of him wonders if you are, the gods had to have made you for just for him. the noise you make when his fangs drag against the delicate skin of your throat is more than enough proof.
you’re not sure what makes you so desperate— maybe the honied eyes peering up at your face, or the way his hips have lost their tempo— lewd noises echoing loudly against the stone walls, but suddenly, you’re pleading— but for what, you aren’t sure, “please, please, please— adrian, gods please.”
that’s all it takes for him to grip at the ropes, one at a time, tugging at them until your arms are free— your gaze levels his, before your voice rings in the room, a breathy echo of his name that makes him keen yours back with the same whisper of need.
he moves quick, mouth meeting yours in a messy kiss that makes your toes curl, your teeth clacking against his, and he heaves into your mouth, “touch me, fuck— please, touch me.”
you do— gods, you do.
one hand tangles into his auric hair— tugging at the roots until he hisses at you, eyes rolling back into his skull, hand gripping at the meat of your thigh to grind your pelvis against his until you wince from the deep press of him at your womb. your other hand traces a sweet line down his spine, palm laying flat against his hip, guiding him to rock into you deeper— to fuck you deeper.
uhhhhhhhh
ok bye 🫣

Not Meant To Be.........
Pairing; Loki x reader
Warnings: mentions of pregnancy, cursing, self esteem issues
Summary: loki takes y/n home and does everything he can to make her comfortable
Part Ten-
====================================
Tumblr media
The doctor sent y/n home, telling her she'll be pretty immobile for the next couple months. Loki insisted on staying with her to make sure she was OK. "Loki, you don't have to stay, I'll be fine." She said. "Absolutely not! I am staying to take care of you and my little princess" he said. She knew she couldn't argue. He got them to her place, and he carried her up the stairs to her apartment. "Loki, I have crutches I can......" "No, I won't hear of it, your not lifting a finger" he demanded. He carried her to her room and propped her up on the bed. "Are you hungry, thirsty, do you need anything?" He asked. "No loki I'm ok" she said as she propped the pillows under her right arm. He ran and grabbed the remote and gave it to her. "I'll go make you a snack, just in case" and smiled at her. She couldn't help but smile.
At some point she had fallen asleep, when she woke it was dark outside. She saw the TV was still on, but didn't see Loki anywhere. She got up and grabbed her crutch and slowly made her way to the living room, that's when saw him. He has his legs propped on the table and his head against the back of the couch, eyes closed. He looked so peaceful like that. "Oh Loki, you must be exhausted" she said to herself and grabbed a blanket from the back of the couch. While leaning on her crutch she shook the blanket out as best as she could with her good arm and spread it over him. She studied him for a few minutes before leaning down and kissing his forehead, he sighed at the contact but didn't wake. She had missed him so much. For once in a long time, she had hope............
Two months had gone by and Loki never left her side, sleeping on the couch. He cooked, cleaned and insisted she did nothing, she was going out of her mind. One day she felt the baby move. "Loki!!! Come here!!!" She yelled and he sprinted into the room. "What is it, what happened!?" He said panicking "come here" she insisted. He walked over to the bed and looked at her. She grabbed his hand and put it on her belly. He looked at her confused for a second until he felt it. "Is that...." "yes Loki, that's your daughter" she said and smiled at him. He slowly sat down on the bed next to her not moving his hand, staring at her stomach. "My daughter...."he said starting to tear up. She reached out and cupped his cheek and made him look at her. She gazed into his emerald eyes and leaned forward pressing her lips to his. It was soft and quick. She pulled back to look at him. He sat in shock for a minute before his other hand went to the back of her head and brought their lips together again, this time deepening the kiss, while keeping his other hand on her belly.
She ran her hand through his hair and grabbed the nape of his neck pulling him closer. She felt his tongue graze her bottom lip and opened her mouth, letting him explore with his tongue. She could feel the electricity from it. He pulled away and she grabbed him and hugged him tight. "I missed you so much Loki" she said holding back her tears. "I've missed you too princess, so so much" he said. They sat like that for a long time when he pulled away and composed himself. "I should let you rest. You get your casts off tomorrow and you need your sleep" he said going to get up. She grabbed his wrist "stay, please. Lay with me" she said looking at him. "Are you sure?" He asked. "Yes, I'm sure" she said, and scooted over to make room for him and he climbed under the covers, and she snuggled next to him. "Loki, are we going to be ok" she asked into the dark. "You'll always have me love. And as long as I have you and our princess, we'll be ok" he said hugging her tighter.
The next day Loki took her to get her casts off and she sighed in relief. "Thank God that's over!!" She sighed. And he tried not to laugh. The doctor told them she would need to start physical therapy but everything else looked good. With that Loki took her back home, holding her hand the whole time. He helped her upstairs and stood in the living room. "Well, I guess I should probably go, since your able to move around again" he said hesitantly and started for the door. "Loki.. " She called to him and he turned around. "You can stay.....if you want to that is" she said looking down at the floor. He slowly walked over to her and put a finger under chin, tilting her head to look at him. "Do you want me to stay love?" He asked. She gazed into his eyes "yes Loki, I never want you to leave again" she said with tears in her eyes. "Then I never shall." he said as he leaned down pressing his lips to hers. Her hands went to his hair and his to her hips, pulling eachother as close as possible as their lips parted and their tongues explored eachothers mouths. They pulled away to catch their breath "I'm never losing you again" loki said kissing her again
2 months has passed, y/n had returned to work but Adam had quit, he never even once checked on her. Loki started going back on missions when he knew she was OK, but always text to check on her. She called Thor over to make amends. "Listen Thor, I wanted to apologize for how I acted, I never should have ....." but he cut her off. " Y/n, you have no need to apologize. You were hurt, and angry, I would have thought the same in your place. All is forgiven" he said smiling at her. "Oh Sparkles, thank you!!"She said hugging him. He rolled his eyes and hugged her back. "So, when am I going to get to meet my niece?" He asked. "Any day now!!! She better hurry up too I can't take this much longer" she said. "You do look like your about to explode" he said and she slapped him. She smiled, she had her two favorite guys back, and any day, she would get to meet her princess. Life was finally perfect........
"LOKI!!!!!!!" She screamed from the bedroom. He bolted from the kitchen "what is sweetheart?"He asked rushing towards her. "She's coming, the babies coming!!!" She screeched. "Oh!! OK, let me grab our stuff and..." he started "NO, NOW LOKI!!!" She glared at him "ok. We're going right now" he said and grabbed her hand to helped her to the car. They made it to the hospital with her yelling and screaming at him "THIS IS YOUR FAULT, WHY DID YOU DO THIS TO ME!!!" She kept screaming at him. "He kissed her head "it will all be over soon love" he said helping her into a wheelchair. He ran inside pushing her "We need a doctor, she's going to have a baby!!!" He yelled trying to get help. A nurse came and got them "this way" she said and they took off. Four hours later y/n was about to rip Loki's hand off "WHY WON'T SHE COME OUT ALREADY!!!!" She was still screaming. "Your doing amazing sweetheart, just a bit longer. "OK y/n, one more push and you'll get to meet your daughter." The doctor said. She felt like her insides were being ripped out when suddenly the babies cries filled the room. "You did it sweetheart!! Your so amazing!!!" He said kissing her head. Y/n laid back trying not to pass put when a nurse brought their little girl over and laid her on her chest. Y/n looked at her and started crying. Loki ran his hands through her hair, kissing the top of her head. "She is perfect my love, you both are" he said tearing up. She had a head of black hair, and when she opened her eyes, emeralds looked back at her. "Oh loki, she Is absolutely perfect" she looked at him and handed him his daughter. "My baby girl" he said rocking back and forth with her. "Did you have a name in mind sweetheart?" He asked not taking his eyes off his girl. "Well.........I was thinking........maybe Jade. But if you don't like it...." She started "No, No it's perfect. Jade lokisdottir" he repeated. He kissed her little nose and handed her back to y/n. He looked at both of his princesses, and never in all his years had he ever been happier.............

Journal Entry #44 (part five)
Tumblr media
Yuri
Victor’s room was on the fourth floor, and it was atypically quiet up there for that hour of the day. I’d expected it to be busier, as it was probably the time when many of the patients would be having their dinner brought to them, and when others would be receiving visits from family or friends. I’ve been a patient in this wing of the fourth floor of Mt. Komorebi Medical Center more than once myself, and I remember how much activity I could hear all around me in the late afternoon.
The nurse, whose name I learned was Yuna, walked with me from the elevator, past the nurses’ station, and finally to a room about halfway down the long corridor. Just outside the door, she turned to me and offered me a kind smile.
“I’ll be here until seven o’clock, if you need anything,” she said. “The night shift will be coming on after that, and whoever happens to be your husband’s primary care nurse tonight will be able to help you if there’s anything you need.”
“Thank you,” I said. “How long can I stay?”
I knew visiting hours usually ended at eight o’clock, but I think I was hoping Yuna might say I could stay with Victor until morning.
I shouldn’t have been surprised when she replied, “Until eight.”
“Okay.”
“You can come back tomorrow at seven thirty, if you like. You can feed him his breakfast.”
I smiled slightly at that, sure that if Victor actually needed me to feed him, the irony of it would not be lost on him. “If I’m not allowed to spend the night, I’ll definitely be back here at seven-thirty,” I said. “Victor has a healthy relationship with food, though. I don’t think he’ll need my help with breakfast.”
“Is he left-handed or right-handed?” Yuna asked.
The question seemed odd, but I answered anyway. “Left-handed. Why?”
“He may need a little help,” she said. “His left arm is more seriously injured than his right, and I expect Dr. Sato explained to you that he’s experiencing some vision loss. His coordination might be affected by his head injury, too.”
“Oh.”
“We’ll see how he is in the morning,” she said.
“Will you be here tomorrow?”
“I will,” she confirmed. “Why don’t you go in and sit with him now? I think he’ll be glad to have you here.”
I nodded, and thanked Yuna again. I watched her stride away in the direction of the nurses’ station before I turned back to the door of Victor’s room.
I paused on the threshold, part of me desperate to see him and another part terrified of what I’d find once I stepped inside. I don’t know if I’d been in too much shock to pay attention to everything Dr. Sato had told me, or if she’d presented it in such a clinical way that it didn’t sink in. All I know is, hearing Yuna describe Victor’s injuries in such a practical context as his potential inability to feed himself absolutely shook me. I wasn’t at all prepared for that.
I was forced to admit to myself that not only was I scared, but I was also feeling guilty and disappointed in myself. I could not convince myself that this entire situation wasn’t at least partly my fault. I could’ve handled things better today.  Maybe none of this would have happened and my Victor wouldn’t be facing an uncertain future if I had.
Tumblr media
Gathering together the shreds of my courage, I took the deepest breath I could manage and then entered the room. It was darker in Victor’s room than in the previous areas of the hospital I’d been in that day. I couldn’t even see him at first, because the bed curtain was pulled part way around the bed. All I could make out were his blanket-covered legs, one foot twitching restlessly like it often does when he’s overtired or anxious.
At least he’s awake, I thought. His foot never does that when he’s sleeping.
When I moved past the edge of the curtain, I gasped involuntarily at the sight that confronted me. Victor was lying there utterly motionless. Both his forearms were bandaged, and his neck was immobilized. The area around his left eye and down his left cheek was mottled with purplish bruises.
He was only covered from the waist down, and he wasn’t wearing a hospital gown or a shirt or anything. For all I knew, he might’ve been completely naked beneath the thin blanket. It seemed so undignified, and seeing that bothered me almost as much as looking at his injuries did.
I wanted to touch him, but I didn’t know where I could put my hands without hurting him. Trying not to startle him, I said his name quietly.
It took him a few seconds to open his eyes, and when he did, they were fixed straight up at the ceiling for several more seconds. I understood that he couldn’t move his head or neck, so I didn’t expect him to turn toward me, but I think I did imagine he’d shift his gaze my way. Then I began to worry that maybe he wasn’t looking at me because he couldn’t.
I felt a lump starting to form in my throat, and I fought with everything I had to keep from crying. The last thing Victor needed was for me to break down. He hates it when I cry. He says it makes him feel helpless, although he always tries his best to console me anyway. But, this wasn’t the time for him to feel obligated to do anything for me. I needed to be as strong as I could for both of us, as difficult as I knew that was going to be.
“I’m sorry,” I said.
After what felt like an eternity, Victor glanced in my direction. “Yuri…?” he said, as if he wasn’t quite sure it was me. His voice sounded so weak and small, so devoid of its usual energy that I barely recognized it as his.
Tumblr media
“I’m here, my treasure. I’m right here.” My own voice was trembling. Hesitantly, I traced across his shoulder with my fingertips, deciding that seemed like the safest place to touch. “I’m sorry I took so long.”
“It’s dark,” he mumbled.
“The light is off so it doesn’t hurt your eyes,” I said.
“Oh. Where are we?”
“You don’t know where we are?”
“I don’t know,” he said. “This isn’t my bed. Where’s my white blanket?”
“We’re in the hospital,” I told him.
I could see in his face that he was struggling to process that information, but something must’ve finally clicked into place because he said. “I fell.”
“Yes, you did.”
“Why’s it so dark?”
“The lights are off,” I reminded him. ”I don’t think we should turn them on.”
“I don’t want it like that. I can’t see.” There was an undercurrent of fear in his tone. “Yuri, I… I don’t like it being dark like this. Please.”
His rising panic was pushing my own fear and anxiety toward the surface, and I had to take deep breaths to steady myself. I kept petting his shoulder, wanting to maintain contact in the hope of reassuring him somehow. “There’s a doctor coming to look at your eyes. If he says it’s okay, then we can turn the lights on.”
He let out a little whimpering sound. “But… I can’t see!”
“The doctor will help you,” I said.
“I just wanna see you.” Tears were starting to form at the edges of his eyes, and he squeezed his eyelids shut momentarily. “Everything’s blurry and weird. Why’s it like that?”
“You bumped your head,” I said. That was painting it with the broadest strokes possible, I knew, but I wanted him to be able to understand without having to concentrate too much.
“My head hurts,” he said. “Everything hurts. I want… I want it to stop hurting.”
“I’ll ask Dr. Sato if she can give you something to make it stop hurting. She should be here before too long.”
“When?”
“I’m not sure exactly. Soon.”
“‘Kay,” he acquiesced. “Can you hold… hold m-my hand?”
“I don’t know if I should,” I said.
“Please, Yuri? I’m scared.”
“I’m sorry,” I murmured, wondering how many times I was going to say that, and how many times would feel like enough.
Tumblr media
He made a vague movement with his right hand, the one closest to me, and I lifted it off the bed as carefully as I could. What if it was broken? Would I be doing more damage to it? His fingers were swollen, and even in the dimness they looked more pinkish than normal. “Am I hurting you?”
“I don’t know.”
I supposed that was fair, if his hand was already causing him pain. “You let me know if you want me to stop touching you, okay?”
“Never stop,” he said. “I don’t care if it hurts. I just need to… to feel your hand.”
“Okay. I won’t let go.”
He was silent for a while, lying with his eyes closed, and I guessed perhaps the effort of talking had exhausted him. But then, his eyelids fluttered open, and his face assumed the expression of someone who’d just remembered something important. “Yuri,” he said. “They took my rings.”
“Your rings?”
“My rings. The ones you gave me.”
His wedding ring and promise ring. I hadn’t even noticed they weren’t there when I’d lifted his hand. Now, looking down and seeing my own rings, I was painfully aware that his were gone. “Do you remember who took them? The paramedics, or someone here?”
“I don’t know. I was crying. I didn’t want them to take them. I said… I promised I’d n-never take them off. I promised…”  His tears finally spilled over, and began to run down the sides of his face. “I’m sorry. I tried.”
“It’s okay,” I said. “You don’t have anything to apologize for.”
“Can you find them?  I want you to put them on me.”
I reached out with my free hand to caress his face, wiping away some of the dampness with my fingers. “I’m sure your rings are safe. I’ll find them for you, and when your hands feel better, I’ll put them on you again, okay? I don’t think they’d fit you right now.”
“I promised I’d never take them off,” he repeated miserably.
“I know, love. It’s all right. It’s not your fault.”
“Yes, it is,” he said. “I didn’t… I wasn’t mad at you this morning, but I shouldn’t have… The event. I… I should’ve told Sakura… But, it’s my best one, and…” He trailed off, and raised his other hand to rub at his eyes, and then almost immediately cried out in pain. He was so confused, it likely hadn’t occurred to him that touching his bruised face with his possibly fractured arm would be painful. Instead of drying his tears, it only made him cry harder. “I’m never doing it again.”
“Never doing what again?”
“Snowboarding,” he said.
“Don’t say that. You might be off the mountain for a while, but you’ll do it again.”
“No…” he said, and it came out as a moan. “Everyone… I disappointed everyone. I wanted you to be proud even if… even if you weren’t there. I love you, and I just… I… I’m sorry.  Everything’s messed up, and it’s my fault.”
Tumblr media
I’ll confess, in that moment I had no idea what to do.  My heart was aching, and I felt utterly helpless. I wanted to be able to say something, do something to make everything right, but I didn’t know how. All I could do was attempt to comfort him as best I could.
“Victor, it’s not your fault,” I said softly. I stroked his hair gently, in the way I know he likes. “I love you, and I am proud of you. You never have to do anything special to make me proud. Being you is enough.”
“Is it?”
“Of course it is. It always has been. I don’t need a hero or a champion.” I lowered my head and whispered against his swollen fingers. “I just need you. Always you. Only you.”
“Don’t leave me,” he said. “Please... I’m scared.”
“I’m right here. I’m not going to leave you.”
“What if I can’t…” he began.
“Can’t what?”
“What if… what if I can’t take care of you any more?”
“I don’t want you to worry about that,” I said.
“Your voice… I can tell. You’re in pain.”
“A little,” I conceded. In reality, it was more than a little and I’m positive he knew that, but he didn’t need to hear me say it. “I’ll be fine, though. Right now, we need to focus on you.”
“But, I have to. Your mom… she’s n-not here, and nobody else knows how to do what you need.” His fingers stirred weakly in my hand. “Meds and food and… y’know. Belly rubs.”
I laughed. I couldn’t help it. Of all the things he was concerned about, the one that found its way into the conversation had to be that, and it was such a Victor thing. It wasn’t really funny, but I think I’d reached a breaking point and had to release my emotional energy in some way, and I reasoned that laughing was better than the alternative.
“You do give amazing belly rubs,” I said. “I'll be looking forward to those when everything’s back to normal.”
“Normal,” he echoed. “Am I gonna be normal again?”
“I think you will,” I said.
“I have to. I need to see, and… I need my hands. I just wanna take care of you, ‘cause I love you, and I promised.”
“I love you too,” I said. “You’ll be able to take care of me again, but for now all you need to do is rest and let me take care of you.”

Your room (Dark!Peter Parker x Reader)
Word count 3.3k
!!!!! This is dark! And explicit 18+ only !!!!!
Warnings: Noncon/Dubcon, oral (female receiving), spankings, punishment, kidnapping, Stockholm syndrome, unprotected sex, smut, vaginal intercourse.
Summery: Your life is bland and boring but not for long. What happens when you catch the eye of a certain super hero?
Tumblr media
Your room has always reflected you as a person. In highschool you haphazardly filled the walls with quotes and posters. Your room was messy in the typical way teenagers rooms tend to be, but also like a typical teenager was filled with feeling and hope. In college you filled your space with pictures of you and your friends taken on a polaroid camera. Everywhere you looked had your life staring back at you. Now as an adult the pictures from college are tucked away in a box. Your room is simple and boring. Most people think of you as minimalist but you don’t do it to be trendy, you just have no passion. You’ve spent the years after graduating college working a job you hate in a lab, running the same tests over and over again. You’ve always wanted to be a scientist, working on something new and exciting. You’ve applied everywhere but you rarely even get an interview. Your dreams, unfortunately, will never happen for you. Sometimes you wish for someone to swoop in and take you for your bland life but you know that will never happen. Watching your friends get dream jobs and buy homes while you waste away has crushed your spirit. You’re tired.
---
“Hey Y/N, we’re going out tonight.”
“I don’t know…”
“Come on, you never come with us.”
“Ok sure.”
Your coworker is right that you never go out anymore and so several hours later you walk into a bar, grabbing a drink and finding your coworkers. The bar is bustling with activity and you lose track of time. You usually curl up in bed with a book on a friday night but you’re glad you came. You used to go out all the time in college and miss being social. Going out is good for your mental health and you decide to make more of a point to spend time with people.
You say goodbye to your still partying co-workers and head home a little past midnight. You start your walk and cut through an alleyway, wanting to get home before you vomit from the alcohol.
“Hey sweetheart. What are you doing all alone out here?”
A large man steps out of the shadows and walks toward you. You ignore him, keeping your eyes focused ahead and pick up the pace.
“Oi, I’m talkin’ to you,” He lunges forward and grabs your arm.
“Let me go.” You try to walk away but he holds onto you still, pushing you against the wall and landing a bruising kiss on your lips. His breath smells rancid and you feel bile rise in your throat. You cry out for help and the man is suddenly pulled away from you. You watch with disbelief as Spider man throws the stranger against the opposing wall.
“She said to go away buddy.”
The man slowly stands up and runs away. Spider Man shoots a web at the running stranger and he falls over, immobilized.
“You ok?” Spider Man turns to you, cocking his head.
“Yes, thank you Spider Man.”
“I’ll come check on you tomorrow”
You watch spider man pick up the stranger like he’s nothing and swing away. You walk the rest of the way home and lie in bed, unable to fall asleep. The next morning there’s a tap on your window and you look out to see Spider Man on your fire escape. You briefly wonder how he knows where you live but quickly brush off the thought and open your window.
“You sure you’re ok?” He steps towards you, looking you over.
“Just a little shaken up.”
He walks to your kitchen, filling a glass of water and handing it to you.
“This is too much, really I’m fine. You already saved me.”
“Drink the water,” He commands.
You sigh and drink it.
“That’s a good girl. Now get back to bed.”
You set the glass down and stare at the stranger you let in your home. Alarm bells start ringing.
“I’d like you to leave.”
“I’ll leave once I know you’re doing as you're told.”
Your heart beats rapidly and you take a step back.
“I appreciate that you saved me and came to make sure that I’m fine but I’m now asking you to please go.”
Spider man crosses his arms.
“I’ll call the cops” you say.
“And say what?”
“That there’s an intruder.”
Spider man sighs and walks to your window, standing at it.
“Get in bed and I’ll go.”
You walk to your bed and get under the covers.
“Good girl. I’ll be back to check on you later.”
As soon as he’s through the window you jump out of bed and lock every door and window, double checking your work. You get back in bed and let out a sigh of relief, finally able to sleep.
You wake up to tapping on your window. Spiderman is back. You make your way to the window but don’t open it.
“Let me in.”
“I don’t feel comfortable with you in here.”
Spider Man shakes his head and leaves without a word.
The next few weeks are filled with anxiety. You see flashes of red in your peripheral vision everywhere you go. Spider man is stalking you. You consider telling police but don’t think they’ll believe you. It sounds crazy, even to you. If it weren't for the bruises from the assault in the alleyway you would think you had imagined the whole thing. You stop leaving your apartment unless necessary and never go out after dark.
You get a voicemail one day.
“HI, this is Rebecca Johnson from Stark Industries. We’re looking for someone to fill a position in one of our labs. You had submitted an application previously and we wanted to reach out and see if you’d like to interview for the position. Please call back at your earliest convenience.
You squeal in delight, doing a celebratory fist pump. Stark industries is a dream job. You immediately hit redial and set up the interview. This would change everything. Just one year working at Stark would open up endless possibilities for you and that’s if you ever want to leave. You could afford a nicer apartment with more security. Maybe you will finally feel safe. You remind yourself that it’s just an interview and you shouldn’t get ahead of yourself.
---
You look up at the tower and take a deep breath. It’s intimidating, going for an interview at Stark tower. It’s been so long since you’ve interviewed anywhere let alone somewhere so big. You tug at your blouse, second guessing your outfit, maybe you should have worn something different. It’s too late to go back home and change. You walk in, mustering up all the courage you can and talk to the woman at the front desk.
“Hi, I’m here for an interview. Y/N Y/L/N”
“Oh yes, they’re expecting you. Here’s a temporary badge. Go to the 80th floor and take a seat.”
You take the badge and follow the instructions. You’re surprised to find yourself in what looks like private quarters. There’s a small couch near the elevator and you sit and wait.
Tony Stark himself appears in front of you and your mouth flies open. You stand quickly and hold your hand out.
“Mr. Stark, it’s a pleasure to meet you.”
Tony looks you up and down, clicking his tongue.
“Likewise, follow.”
You half walk, half run behind him, getting in the elevator and taking it down a floor. You arrive at a state of the art lab and workshop and Tony leads you to a desk.
“The whole workshop will be open to you. This is your desk.”
He starts walking again and you keep following him back to the elevator and to another floor.
“Here’s where you’ll live. I’ll leave you with the contract and you can call my assistant if you have any questions.”
He hands you a tablet and walks out.
You look around the room dumbfounded. You thought you were just here for an interview. You guess this means you got the job. You swipe through the contract and your eyes widen at your salary. There are a few things that make you uncomfortable though. You’re required to live on site and there’s a curfew. You have to sign a NDA about anything you see in the tower. You also can’t decide to quit without permission, which you’re not sure is even legal. You call the number to Tony’s assistant.
“This is Rebecca.”
“Hi, this is Y/N. I’m looking through this contract and it says I have to live on site and there’s a curfew?”
“Yes. That is non negotiable. Living on site will give you access to the workshop 24/7. There will be times when you will work through the night. The curfew is for security as the tower is locked down every night.”
You would rather have your own place where you can come and go as you please but you’re willing to live here if you have to and the reason for a curfew makes sense. The tower has top of the line security, which is something that’s really important to you. You don’t usually go out late anyway and if you do decide to be out late you can crash at a friends house or get a hotel room.
“And the avengers? Will I have to work closely with them?”
“You might meet them or see them at some point but most likely not.”
“I know this sounds weird but I don’t want Spider man to know I’m working here.”
“Mums the word.”
“What exactly will the job entail? I see there’s a NDA.”
“You’ll be an assistant in Tony Stark's personal workshop and will work closely with him. He appreciates privacy.”
“I see, and the part where I’m not allowed to quit?”
“He just wants to make sure you’re serious. Tony picks his assistants personally and requires loyalty.”
“Ok, thank you.”
You hang up and sign the screen. When you open the door there's a man standing outside. He’s not a tall man, standing a few inches taller than you. However, he is muscular and something about him commands attention. You feel an immediate pull towards him.
“Oh, hi I’m Peter Parker.” He holds out his hand.
“I’m Y/N”
“I also work with Tony and live right next to you. I’ll be your direct boss.”
“It’s nice to meet you Mr. Parker.”
“Peter is fine. I won’t keep you any longer, I just wanted to introduce myself.”
You immediately get to work rearranging your life. By the end of the weekend you’re completely moved into your new place and on monday you start your first day on the job. It’s everything you’ve ever dreamed of, full of state of the art technology and free reign to do whatever you want. You walk into work every day with a smile.
You work alone most of the time, Tony and Peter working awkward, sporadic hours but you enjoy it when you do get to work with them. Tony is funny and brilliant, you learn more from him than from any college class. Peter is smart and sweet. He helps you with your work and makes sure you’re always taken care of, sending you back to your room if you’ve been working too long or making you take breaks to eat. You find yourself starting to develop feelings for Peter and your heart swells when he asks you on a date. Life is good and only getting better.
You meet Peter outside of your door and he takes your hand. The two of you walk to a little italian restaurant and Peter takes your menu, ordering your food for you. It’s very forward for a first date but you like the confidence. After dinner he walks you back to your door and kisses you. You see something in his eyes when he pulls away, possessive and dark. It makes you feel uncomfortable but also excited. Nobody has ever looked at you like that.
Over the next few weeks Peter becomes more and more comfortable around you, becoming more physical. It’s small things, like pushing your hair back when talking or touching you gently as he walks past. He asks you out again, this time wanting to cook you dinner and you decline, suggesting a coffee date instead. You don’t feel comfortable enough with him to be alone in his room. He clenches his jaw when you tell him, obviously upset you won’t come over but agrees.
A few days later you decide to go out with some old friends and crash on one of their couches. When you get home the next day Peter is standing outside your door.
“You missed curfew.”
“I know, I went out with friends and crashed on one of their couches.”
Peter clenches his jaw.
“Don’t let it happen again.”
“It shouldn't matter if I want to stay the night somewhere else.”
“Well it does.”
You roll your eyes and unlock your door quickly, locking it behind you. The two of you have only been on one date. His behavior is a red flag and you decide to take things slowly.
The next day you decide to go out for coffee, pulling on a simple tee shirt dress and some flip flops. The elevator won’t let you down.
“Your privileges have been revoked.” Peter says from behind you.
You jump. “Why?”
“You know why.”
He stalks toward you, pushing you up against the elevator.
“I don’t feel comfortable with this Peter. You need to back away from me now.”
Peter takes a step back.
“I’m sorry but right now I don’t want any sort of relationship outside of work.”
“That’s not going to work for me.”
Something in Peter's eyes terrifies you. You need to get out of here. You try the elevator again but it still won’t open.
“I quit.” you yell at the elevator, feeling more danger every second you’re stuck in the hallway with Peter.
“You can’t quit baby.”
“There’s no way it’s legal to force me to keep working even if it’s in the contract.”
“There’s nowhere to go. You’re not getting out of this building and even if you did you’d have to find a lawyer to take your case.”
“You can’t do this, I'll tell Tony.”
“Who do you think suggested this in the first place? Most of the Avengers have gotten their partners this way. I was waiting for the right person and I knew you were them the moment I saw you.”
“Why would Tony help you trap me here? You’re just a lab assistant.”
“Oh no honey, I’m much more than that.”
He steps toward you, caging you in.
“You think it’s a coincidence I saved you in that alleyway?”
“Spider man?”
Peter gives a grin. He leans in and smells your hair.
“No.”
“I’m sorry it’s happening this way, I wanted to break you down slower. You’ll have a really good life, we’ll live together and work together. You’ll have everything you could need or want.”
“I want to leave.”
“You’ll change your mind, you just need a little motivation.”
Peter pulls you to his room and opens the door, pushing you into his apartment. You try to run but he easily catches you, picking you up and throwing you on his bed.
“Why are you doing this? Why me?” you scrabble to the far side of the bed.
“You’re mine.”
Peter's phone rings and he picks it up.
“Hey, yes I did... I know It wasn’t the plan, I had to improvise… Ok, see you in a few weeks.”
He hangs up and gets on top of you. you spit in his face.
“I’m not yours freak. Let me go.”
“You won’t be allowed to act like that moving forward. Now lie still.”
“Get off of me.”
Peter gets off briefly, flipping you over his lap and pulling up your skirt. He lands a smack on your bottom.
“You have no idea how many times I’ve wanted to do this. You’ve been so bad baby.
“Not letting me in your apartment.”
Smack.
“Telling Rebecca you didn’t want me to you started working here.”
Smack
“Staying out all night.”
Smack.
“Shutting the door in my face.”
Smack.
“I liked you Peter, If you had just acted like a normal person we could have continued a relationship.” You say through tears.
“I don’t want a relationship, I want to own you.”
He lands another blow on your bottom and grabs your underwear, pulling them down and off of you. You try to wiggle away but he’s so strong and easily holds you down with one arm. He moves his hand between your legs and towards your sex, pushing a finger in and out.
“You’re wet for me.” He says smugly.
You close your eyes and turn your head away. You’ve stopped resisting and he lets go.
“There you go.”
He kisses your neck and cheek then grabs your chin moving your face and kissing you gently, pushing his tongue into your mouth. He pulls back and you hear him unbuttons his pants, pulling them down. You open your eyes and move away from him, pushing your back against the headboard. You watch as he holds his erection, slowly moving his hand up and down. He moves towards you and grabs your ankle, pulling you down the bed and positioning himself in between your legs. He holds onto your hips and kisses your inner thigh, moving toward your mound until his mouth is on your clit, kissing and licking. You arch your back and throw your head back, fighting against the rising orgasm. Right before you come he pulls back, smiling up at your dazed face. He rises up and slowly pushes his dick into you until you’re full. You whimper as he brings his hand down to your clit, stimulating it.
“That’s right baby,I know what you like.”
You can’t think about anything else anymore, only the orgasm that threatens to take over.
“Come Baby”
You reach out, grabbing his arms as you come. He grabs your shoulders and thrusts deep, filling you with cum before collapsing next to you, pulling you into the crook of his arm.
“Can I go back to my room now?” you ask.
“You won’t be leaving this room until I can trust you.”
“I won’t say anything. You won. You got what you wanted so just let me go.”
“You still don’t get it Y/N. You’re mine now. I know this is a hard adjustment but everything will be fine as long as you follow what I say.”
“And if I don’t obey you?”
“You’ll be punished.”
“Fuck you.”
Peter sits up next to you, grabbing his pants off the floor and pulling his belt out of the loops.
“I guess your first lesson starts now.”
---
You look around the room you live in. It’s no longer the empty minimalist space it was before you met Peter. Now it’s filled with him. Everywhere you look there are reminders of him. The shower has his body wash and razor. There are pictures of him hanging on the walls. Everything you own has been bought for you by Peter. He dictates what you’re allowed to wear, where you’re allowed to go, who can talk to. It’s all him. Every part of your life revolves around Peter to the point where you don’t know what you would do without him. You wake up to him, go to sleep to him, think about him constantly. You’re even sometimes woken up in the middle of the night to him touching you, wanting you. At some point you stop pretending you don’t want him back. You hate it but it’s true.
Your room has always been a reflection of you as a person.

send me a writting ask
211. We’re a team, remember?
If he had the option, Midoriya would prefer to patrol alone.
And, everyone seems to be baffled about it.
“Can you blame us? You don’t look like the lone wolf type, you know.” Shinsou had mentioned before, back in the locker rooms.
Blinking, Midoriya tilted his head over to him, a few lockers away. “I didn’t know lone wolves had a look.”
“They don’t. But, if they did, they wouldn’t look like you.” Shinsou sighed, bringing a towel up to his neck. He dabbed gingerly at the sweat. “Though, I guess with your power, you wouldn’t need another person to weigh you down.”
“It’s not about power. I just don’t want to drag anyone into immense danger.” Midoriya admitted, slipping his arms out of his hero costume.
Immediately, he felt a sharp jolt of pain cease his arms. He winced, looking down at the stitches around his shoulders, now tightened, fresh, and sensitive.
The wound, as well as the others littering his body, are reminders of that danger he worries for others. Each fight is with a different villain, varying in strength and quirk. But, they all have the same intentions when battling Midoriya.
Enemies want him dead. Simple as that.
Sometimes, even everyday people wish him dead.
And, it’s the type of danger he wouldn’t want anyone to face.
Shinsou shrugged, having tossed his wraps in his locker. “You say that, but all heroes are bound to be in danger, at some point. Aren’t they?”
“That’s not—“
Midoriya halts, immobilized. At first, he worries the new frozen sensation is an enemy quirk activating, from their recent shift on the clock. He instantly cursed himself for not being attentive.
But, a split second later, he realized from the tooth eating grin from Shinsou, that it was actually his doing.
He had been in the middle of unbuckling his utility belt. So much for that.
“Life and death. It’s the real game we’re all playing out in the city.” Shinsou stated, buttoning up his civilian clothes. “And, you swear you are its only player, Midoriya.”
The spell finally broke. Finally able to regain his movements, Midoriya gasped a deep, willful breath. “I-I just don’t want anyone to worry about me.”
“Worrying is a part of teamwork.” Shinsou insisted, shaking his head, “If we didn’t worry, then everyone would be reckless, without a care in the world. People wouldn’t care, and then, there would be no sense of compassion, anywhere.”
Pulling off his stirrups, Midoriya weakly laughed, unable to say anything else.
Yeah, that seems to be something he does too often, than not. Reckless. Spontaneous. Relying on gut feeling.
But, Midoriya cares, he does. Just, maybe not the way the rest of the world does.
So willing to give himself, grow tired and weak. When others just want him to rest.
Midoriya left shortly after that. He felt a little guilty, leaving Shinsou earlier than usual. He hoped his friend knew that he appreciated his advice, as well as his honest truth.
However, he had lost the will to continue the rather self-exposing conversation. Besides, the exhaustion always settles into his bones, the moment he stops moving and starts thinking.
Alas, he has a long way back home; clock out of the agency building, take the elevator, walk to the train station, street stop, and up the elevator to his apartment.
Which leads him to now; standing outside his apartment complex, shivering under nothing, but a hoodie and sweats.
His teeth chatter, behind his face mask, as he tries to jiggle the keys inside. The winter night breeze burning his nose cold.
A click resounds his brain, and relief washes over him. The moment he steps inside, the guard he feels, tight in his shoulders, drops finally. Closing the door gently from behind, Midoriya lets out a long needed sigh.
Home. He’s back home.
Quietly, Midoriya offers a pardon of intrusion, as he shuffles his shoes off at the front. He sets down his work duffle bag on the floor, mentally promising to wash his hero costume and the undergarments, early in the morning.
He wishes he could at least put them in the washer. But, the weight of his eyelids feel so heavy; he stumbles into his bedroom simply on instinct, rather than sight.
Slowly, Midoriya pushes the cracked door open. With quiet footsteps, he walks to the bed, towards one open space, ready for his arrival.
The other space was filled, obvious by the big lump of covers right beside it.
Lifting the bedsheets, Midoriya simply worms himself inside. He makes sure to leave a gap between him and the occupied space, as to not alert his presence. He even makes sure to keep his chilled toes curled, towards himself.
It was futile. The body shifts, and suddenly, a tired, glaring pair of red eyes look at him. “..Took you long enough.”
Midoriya’s heart tightens, feeling bad. “Ah, it was supposed to be a double shift, but then, they needed me for an extra team up. Everything changed at the last minute.”
Twelve hours, out roaming the city. And, then, a whole team mission added on top of all of that. More or less, two days out in the city. Draining didn’t even cover the amount of tired he felt.
“Tch. ‘Course you did..” Under the covers, a warm pair of arms outreach towards Midoriya. They wrap around his waist. “Had me fucking waiting.”
Midoriya smiles, bringing his own body closer to the warmth of limbs. Cold and hot legs entangled together. Arms at each other’s waist. Foreheads touching.
“I didn’t mean to make you wait, Kacchan. Sorry.” He whispers, closing his eyes.
He hears Bakugou click his tongue, before there’s a hard pinch at his cheek. Midoriya whines at the pain, but Bakugou pays no mind.
“Send a damn text, next time.” Bakugou hisses.
“Okay, okay! My face s’hurting, Kacchan.”
He doesn’t need to see Bakugou’s intense glare; he can feel it staring right at the space between his brows. However, instead there’s a soothing hand that runs through Midoriya’s curls. “Gross. You’re freezing as hell, and you didn’t even shower, either?”
Midoriya shakes his head. “I will do it later.” He sleepily says.
“And your clothes?”
“..Will do it later.”
Bakugou growls, and Midoriya mentally prepares for the onslaught of curses and complaints at his lazy attitude.
But, it never happens. Instead, Bakugou pulls himself closer to Midoriya, head nestled in the crook of his neck. “S’fine.” He huffs.
“I swear I will do it tomorrow morning.” Midoriya offers weakly.
“Don’t bother.” Bakugou breath tickles around Midoriya’s ears. “Sleep in. I’ll do it.”
“No, please. I will—“
“Did I fucking stutter?” Bakugou mutters, and there’s a small pull at his ear. “I said don’t bother. And, I mean it.”
“Then, I will make breakfast.”
“No.”
“..How about lunch?”
“I said no.”
“Kacchan, please—“
“Fucking hell, go to sleep!” Bakugou yells into his ear, tightening his grip around Midoriya. “Just— I got all of tomorrow. Sleep.”
Midoriya shrugs against the embrace, heart feeling heavy. “I can do it all, too.”
“M’not saying you can’t. I know you can.” Bakugou whispers, running his fingers through his curls again, “But, you keep forgetting that you don’t have do shit alone all the damn time.”
“I just prefer—“
“To do it all on your own. Yeah. I fucking know.” Bakugou sighs, “But, we’re—“
There’s a moment of hesitation, obvious on Bakugou’s end. However, after a deep breath out, Bakugou wills himself to speak. “..We’re a team, remember?”
Midoriya’s face reddens instantly. A team. That’s another way to put it.
Dating. They’re dating. Almost a year now.
And, Bakugou even remotely mentioning it never fails to make Midoriya feel the fanny flutters all over again.
“Y-Yeah.” Midoriya barely voices, wobbly smiling, “We are.”
“Then, let me do shit.” Bakugou mutters, his face feeling hot against Midoriya’s neck, “Let me be there for you.”
“You don’t have to..” Midoriya insists feebly.
“I ain’t doing it out of force. Even if it’s just for one day, I want to help you.”
Sighing, Midoriya brings his hand to Bakugou’s chin, lifting up his head. Their gazes meet. “You mean that?”
Bakugou rolls his eyes. “God, how much more do I got to fucking spell it out to you? Yes.”
Letting a soft snort, Midoriya inches his face close. “It’s like you love me, or something.” He teases.
“Shut it.” However, there’s a slight upturn in the corners of Bakugou’s lips. “You’re the fucking worst.”
Midoriya smiles back. “Thank you for putting up with me, Kacchan.”
“You put up with my shit, just as much.” Bakugou mumbles.
“Yeah, but I have problems.”
“Don’t we all.”
Midoriya laughs feebly, shaking his head. He closes his eyes, losing the strength to keep them open any longer. “Thank you for worrying about me..” He plants a small kiss onto Bakugou’s lips, before settling his head onto his shoulders.
“Hah? Who said anything about ‘worry’? I ain’t fucking worried.” Bakugou growls, “Never have been. Never will be.”
But, Midoriya knows better. Especially with how close Bakugou holds him, and the way he continues to rub a comforting hand onto his back, making sure to avoid his stitched shoulder.
Warming him up. Lulling him to sleep. Allowing him to let go of all his stresses.
Midoriya smiles himself to sleep.

Danger First
Chapter 6
@pocketramblr another :)
.
Shouta trudged back to the staff break room. His counseling session with Midoriya had lasted a little over an hour, so while there were still teachers in the building, many of them had left. With the exception of semi-retired heroes like Recovery Girl, everyone working here had two full time jobs. Hizashi, despite his carefree air, had even more than that in the form of his radio show. Hizashi had probably left with the students.
But Hizashi wasn't either of the ones he wanted to talk to. Not today.
He opened the door. Three, no, four teachers were there, but Snipe didn't count, seeing as he was completely passed out on one of the couches with his gas mask half off. He must have had an early shift patrol today, poor sucker.
Nemuri was there, too, with most of her hero outfit on. She was applying her hero-grade makeup (water proof, resistant to three common contact poisons, and guaranteed not to react badly with mace).
More importantly, Kan and Yagi were both there, poring over papers on the same desk, no less. Shouta walked up to the table and looked down at sheets and sheets full of incomprehensible numbers.
"What are you doing?" he asked.
"We-"
'Don't tell him!" said Kan, urgently. "This is going to be my class's leg up on Aizawa this time around."
"Haha! Good one!" Yagi slapped Kan's back, and apparently even in his skeletal form he could pack a punch, because Kan had the air knocked out of him. Before he could recover, Yagi continued, "I'm making personalized nutrition plans for his class!"
"What?"
"One of my undergraduate degrees was in nutritional and health sciences, after all!"
Wow, there was a lot to unpack there, but Shouta was more than happy to leave it in its box. He had other fish to fry and topics to interrogate. Small talk requirement fulfilled, he moved on.
"How well do you know Midoriya?"
Yagi blinked and put down his pencil. "Moderately so? We met about this time last year and have been meeting regularly since then."
So, so much to unpack.
"Why?"
"Ah, he... impressed me, I suppose? He was involved in the bodysnatcher incident last year."
That was an understatement.
"He had a lot of heroic spirit!" continued Yagi. "But... not so much in the, ah, body category. I thought it would be a shame, a waste, really, if he wasn't able to pursue his dream, and a hero school prep course wasn't really in the cards for him, considering his quirk status and the timing... And I did have this degree..." He waved his hands vaguely at the table. "I just gave him a little help."
"What brought all this on, anyway?" asked Nemuri. "Midoriya is the little green haired kid, right? One of Chibiida's new friends?"
"If you keep calling him that, I won't be held responsible for when he snaps and attempts murder. But, yes, that's Midoriya."
"So...?"
"He told me I was the best teacher he'd ever had."
Nemuri started laughing.
"Oh," said Yagi. "I'm glad the two of you are getting along so well."
"I think he's pulling your leg, Shouta," said Nemuri, coming over to pat him on his shoulder. "Man, I didn't think a friend of Chibiida's would have it in him. Such youth!"
"I cannot even begin to tell you how much he wasn't."
Nemuri's laughter died off.
"Judging from some comments he made today," said Shouta, "not to mention the discrepancies between his record and his observed behavior in the classroom, I'd say he's been the target of severe quirkism in the past, particularly from his teachers. Did he ever mention anything like that to you?"
Yagi's face darkened and the mood in the room grew much more somber. "Not in so many words, no. However... some of his comments about his teachers disturbed me enough to bring it to the attention of the Musutafu Educational Services District, but as an unrelated stranger without concrete proof..."
("You can use the acronym, you know," muttered Vlad.)
"You're telling me they ignored the number one hero."
Yagi made a face. "I didn't go to them as All Might. Can you imagine the media frenzy if I did that? I didn't want to paint that kind of target on young Midoriya's back."
That was fair, actually. If largely-anonymous Shouta had enemies, All Might had ten times as many. Not to mention supposed fans.
"Other avenues of inquiry were also fruitless," said All Might, countenance darkening. "I asked some of my police colleagues, but they don't have full discretion over the direction of their investigations, and, again, if I were to use my weight to move them... It would get out, and people would wonder why I was so concerned with an apparently normal middle school."
"Did you try talking to Nezu about it?"
"No? Why?"
Shouta reminded himself that although Yagi was an alumnus, he was also very new as a teacher, and was as of yet unfamiliar with Nezu's more interesting traits.
"I'm going to," said Shouta, "and you're going to come with me." He turned to Kan. "Have you heard anything from Bakugo about quirk discrimination?"
"All I've heard from him are explosions, threats, and some kind of complex I don't have nearly enough psychiatric training to- They're from the same school," he realized.
"Yeah."
Kan pinched his brow. "So, the sweet shy kid you keep gushing about-" Both Shouta and Yagi attempted to reassure Kan they weren't gushing, "-and the demon brat are from the same school."
"That is what their records say," agreed Shouta. "Did you know, Yagi?"
"Oh, that they knew each other? Yes. Actually, I was rather under the impression they were childhood friends, as Midoriya ran out to help him during the bodysnatcher incident."
Shouta grunted. It was possible. He hadn't seen the two of them interact, at any rate.
"I'm going to Nezu with you," said Kan, standing up. "No matter what else this hell school did, they deserve to suffer for inflicting Bakugo Katsuki on me with those recommendations full of lies."
"Why don't you just expell him if he's that bad?"
"Because he's talented, hardworking, and hasn't actually broken any rules except for the swearing. He's just a pain I wasn't prepared to deal with and will probably contribute more to my hearing loss than Yamada by the end of the year."
"Wait, wait," said Yagi. "What exactly are you expecting Nezu to do in this situation?"
"Well," said Nemuri, who still hadn't left yet, "let's just say there's a reason hid name is 'god' in the staff group chat."
.
Terrible did not even begin to describe how Izuku felt when he woke up. His skin was static. His mouth was dry in a way that hurt. It felt like a siren was going off in his brain, and also like it was too quiet. He wanted to both run all the way to the school and hide in his closet.
This, of course, left him paralyzed in bed.
He hadn't felt remotely like this since the first time someone had left spider lilies on his desk at school. What was wrong with him?
No, that was the wrong question. All signs pointed to him having Danger Sense. He was in danger. And also immobile in bed.
With a great deal of effort, he turned to his bedside table and grabbed his phone. The clock in the corner read 4:42. Far too early to call anyone. And yet...
With shaky fingers, he navigated to Mr. Yagi's contact information and pressed dial. To Izuku's surprise, it only rang once.
"Young Midoriya? Is something wrong?"
The sound of his voice loosened the terrible knot under Izuku's breastbone. "I- May-maybe? I don't- I don't know, I think so."
There were sounds of movement on the other side of the line. "What happened?"
"I just- just woke up, and I- I think it's Danger Sense. It- Something bad is going to happen."
"I'm on my way. Is your mother with you?"
"N-no. She's at a- at a tech conference in Tokyo. She won't be back until- until tomorrow. Mr. Yagi, I don't- I don't think it's something here. I think it's later... at the school."
There was a pause. "My boy, are you quite sure?"
Izuku's laugh was just a little hysterical. "I mean, I'm- I'm pretty new to this, but..." he'd like to think his flight or fight reflex would have a more constructive response to am immediate threat. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have woken you up, I should have waited-"
"Nonsense! Forewarned is forearmed, and time is one of the most valuable resources a hero can have! I'm still picking you up, I'll just-" Mr. Yagi coughed, "-take the car instead."
"The car? You mean Hercules!?" The excitement was enough to free Izuku from his paralysis and propel him into a sitting position.
"Well, yes, but, my boy, how did you know? I don't think I've ever mentioned the name in my interviews..."
"But you did! In one of your American interviews. It was for a local station and you and Mr. Shield were on together."
"But those were in English."
"I know! When I found out about them, it really motivated me to work on my English! I think I could probably pass the Level Two fluency test..."
"Young Midoriya, have I ever told you how glad I am that you aren't a villain?"
.
"Hikage, did Danger Sense ever make you feel this bad?" asked Nana as Yoichi fussed in the background.
"Super Anxiety made me feel this bad all the time. Sometimes, it made me feel worse. I got used to it."
Nana let out a sigh of relief. It sucked to Ninth right now, but if it was normal for the quirk...
"That's good, then," said En. "Not for Ninth, obviously, but if that's just how the quirk works, he'll be able to figure it out. What did it usually mean, when you felt like this?"
"Generally, that someone was planning on killing me in the next few hours."
Dead(er than usual) silence.
"Ah," said En.
"You know," said Nana, "sometimes the kinds of lives we led slips my mind, but then the universe is always real happy to turn around and slap it back into me."
Yoichi started screeching.
.
"Do you feel any worse now that we're here?" asked Mr. Yagi after shutting Hercules down.
"Not really," said Izuku. He slumped down in his seat and looked away. "I'm sorry, I dragged you out of bed and this is probably just a stupid pointless meaningless panic attack..." He felt tears begin to prick at the edges of his eyes. He was so stupid. And selfish. All Might could be out helping people right now. Or taking care of himself (which, according to Recovery Girl's comments during their training sessions, he didn't do nearly enough of).
"Hey, hey, there's no need to cry, it's alright."
"Because you're here?" asked Izuku with a sniffle.
"Well, yes, but also, even if it was 'just' a panic attack, I'd still want to be here for you." He reached across the central console to pat Izuku on the shoulder. Then his face twisted into something rather sheepish. "But on the subject of panic attacks, something did occur to me on the way here."
Izuku looked back down at his knees. "What is it?"
"This is the anniversary of the day we met."
Izuku... had known that, actually. Waking up as he had had driven it from his mind, but the date was marked on his calendar. He'd even gotten All Might a gift, although he hadn't yet talked himself into being brave enough to give it to him, and with what happened today, it would most likely languish in his desk drawer for an indefinite period of time as the idea of giving it became progressively more awkward.
"My boy? I can't quite make out what you're saying. You're mumbling."
Izuku clapped his hands over his mouth. "Sorry."
"It's quite alright. I'm just an old man with hearing problems."
"You're not old! It's... I just- I just don't see how- how that's connected to this." He gestured at himself in all his vaguely-trembling glory.
"Young Midoriya... you almost died three separate times that day. That's traumatic. And sometimes anniversaries are... reminders."
"I only almost died once?"
"The first time with the sludge villain, grabbing on to my leg- and I don't think I ever apologized for telling you to let go, I was just so surprised- and then the sludge villain again."
"But I only almost died the first time..." He trailed off as Mr. Yagi gave him a look. He'd thought his mother was the only one who could give looks like that... "Do you really think this is connected to that?"
"I don't know," said Mr. Yagi. "Do you feel like it might be?"
"I don't know," said Izuku. He bent over and knotted his fingers in his hair.
"Do you think it might help to stay home today?"
"No!" yelped Izuku. "No," he repeated, trying to calm his racing heart.
"Alright, alright. Never fear, my boy." Mr. Yagi gave him another steadying shoulder pat. "In that case, let's go into this with the assumption that this is danger sense, and it is attempting to warn you of a real threat."
"Okay," said Izuku. He rubbed at his eyes. "What do we do first?"
Mr. Yagi tensed and looked up at the top floors of UA. "Well..."
.
"Hm!" said Nezu. "That is something of a conundrum! The extent of your quirk is unclear, and it is not properly registered, so we cannot go through the official routes we normally would for a warning given through a precognitive or clairvoyant quirk, even given that we are aware of One for All and the probable nature of Danger Sense."
Nezu knowing about One for All had been a bit of a surprise. In retrospect, maybe it shouldn't have been. All Might would have had to tell Nezu something so that Izuku was allowed on campus before he was really a student, and seeing as how All Might was originally teaching here to find a successor... well, it made sense. Izuku just wished he'd been told.
How many other people knew was a question for later, however.
"Your inexperience with the quirk and other circumstances further complicates the matter."
"Sorry," said Izuku.
"Whatever for? It isn't your fault." Nezu did not wait for an answer. "Then there is yesterday's incident to consider... You say you felt something with the reporters?"
"Y-yes, sir."
"Hm. Yes. Toshinori, I so believe you have a contact who could clear this up much more efficiently."
"I know," said Mr. Yagi. "He isn't picking up his phone."
"You don't think-?" started Izuku.
"No, no, he just hasn't been speaking to me lately."
"Oh? I was under the impression you had been communicating with him regularly since returning to Musutafu."
"He thought I would change my mind about something I didn't change my mind about, apparently. It doesn't matter. What else can we do?"
"A good number of things, luckily. Midoriya, I am going to make a series of phone calls. I would like you to tell me if the sensation you are experiencing changes at all while I make them."
"Yes, sir."
Nezu began methodically going through Izuku's list of teachers, warning them that something 'like yesterday' might happened and going over lesson plans and safety procedures. Nothing really changed. Until Nezu called Thirteen.
(Oh, gosh, they were going to go to the Unforeseen Simulation Joint on a field trip today? That was so cool!)
But after Nezu talked to Thirteen about checking safety systems, a little bit of the tension he'd been holding onto leaked away.
"Interesting," said Nezu. "Perhaps we should reschedule rescue training until-"
Izuku dove for Nezu's garbage bin.
"-or perhaps not," mused Nezu as Izuku expelled the meager contents of his stomach.
It was a good thing he hadn't eaten breakfast.
.
"Hikage," said Banjo. "I'm sorry for calling you a dead-eyed emotionally stunted bastard with a warped sense of humor if this is what you had to put up with all the time."
"You called me a dead-eyed emotionally stunted bastard?"
"Not to your face, but yes."
"Well. It isn't as if those things aren't all true..."
.
"I'm okay," said Izuku. "That just... felt bad."
"No cancelations in that case," said Nezu as Mr. Yagi hovered.
"Y-yeah. Oh gosh, now I know how Uraraka feels..."
"Perhaps you should stay home-"
"No! I can't! That would be..."
Nezu held up his hands- paws? "It was merely a suggestion. Can I offer you some tea?"
"Yes, please," said Izuku, voice catching uncomfortably on his raw throat.
"I do have a few more calls to make. Do you feel up to staying, or would you prefer to head down to Recovery Girl? Or perhaps even the cafeteria? I imagine you haven't eaten breakfast."
"I'd like to stay."
"Very well." Nezu picked up his phone again. Izuku could just make out the click on the other end when it was picked up. "Am I a mouse? A dog? A bear? One thing's for sure! I'm the principal!" There was laughter on the other end of the line. "No, not at all! I am in fact calling for you, Tensei. Or should I say, Ingenium? I'm aware this is last minute, and you were planning on taking the day off- How do I know? It was quite simple, really- but between the break-in yesterday and a tip I received this morning regarding a threat to the school, I would like a few more hands on deck than usual. Why, yes, you can stay with your brother's class. Do try not to tease Shouta too much. He has a reputation to maintain." After a few more pleasantries, Nezu hung up. "Midoriya?"
"I... think that's better? I'm sorry, it's hard to tell what could be the quirk and what's just me feeling bad."
Nezu nodded. "In that case, I do recommend that you head to Recovery Girl's office. My other calls will be similar, and the other heroes will not be with your class."
"Why not?" asked Mr. Yagi.
"Because Midoriya's reaction to the field trip being canceled suggests that the danger may not be limited to himself or his class. Oh! And one more thing. Midoriya, I noticed that you put in some costume alteration requests. Naturally, most of them will not be finished until some time next week, however, some of the support items you mentioned are fairly common. If you have time before the field trip, you should pay a visit to Power Loader."
.
Izuku hadn't expected it, but he did feel much better after eating, despite his continuing sense of impending doom. It was also about half an hour from the beginning of homeroom, so he had the time to go to the support department and check if they had anything he could take.
He hoped they had grappling hooks. Izuku had always wanted a grappling hook.
Mr. Yagi took him most of the way there, but students had started to arrive at this point, and Izuku convinced him to go prepare for classes (and hide in the staff area so that no one would wonder why he, a skeleton man not recognizable as a hero, was at the school). Before too long, Izuku stood in front of a rather sturdy-looking metal door. He hoped this was the right one.
He raised his hand to knock just as something crashed into him. Ah. This was it for sure. The way he would die. The danger he had foreseen.
No. Wait. Never mind. He was fine, just on the ground.
"Oh! There was a person there! You okay?"
"U-um," said Izuku, sitting up and rubbing his head. "I'm fine, just a little startled."
"What're you doing here, anyway?"
"I- I'm here for... support... gear?" He sort of trailed off as he looked up.
It was the intense pink haired girl from the other day. As he watched, her expression changed from one of mild concern to calculating interest.
"Support gear, you say?"
.
Shouta answered his phone as he walked down the hall. "Nezu, I've already done every security check I can think of that'll fit-"
"Not quite why I was calling, although I can see why you would think so. One of your students needs to be rescued from the support department."
Shouta changed direction without missing a beat. "It's Midoriya, isn't it?"
"Why, yes."
"Did you send him down there without warning him?"
"Yes, again. You know me so well!"
Shouta hung up.

Prompt no. 18 from this list
“Don’t worry, I’ll take care of you.”
“Sorry, just give me a minute, babe. I need to recalibrate the interface I’m using…”
Gavin’s voice trailed off. The only sound in the room was from the clacking of his keyboard, his fingers flying across the keys.
Nines tried his best to take his mind off his situation. Immobile in bed… with the very real possibility that it could be permanent.
It was a just a software update… just another afternoon nap… but now he had no idea whether he’d ever move again.
Noticing his stress levels spiking, he focused on Gavin. The crease of his brows… the old scar across his nose… the determined set of his jaw as he scrubbed through lines and lines of code to find the root of the problem.
Gavin.
Lover. Friend. Saviour.
The man he depended on for everything, including his continued existence.
Nines silently thanked whichever force of nature had brought him into the safety and sanctity of Gavin’s embrace. RA9 or God or the laws of physics that dictated where atoms would end up from the beginning of time.
Not all androids were as lucky as he was.
After the Revolution, the digital giant known as Cyberlife had been dissolved under political pressure from New Jericho and its vehement supporters. Android production ceased, Cyberlife’s assets were stripped and its R&D departments were spun off into smaller, more benign companies.
People were elated in the beginning… and then they realised there was no one around to maintain and service the androids that now comprised 30% of American citizenry. Private technicians had booming business, but they were eventually overwhelmed.
The worst of it was the software.
The patches, the bug fixes, the security.
No single company was able to do it by themselves and individuals realised they were pretty much on their own. Human husbands and wives and girlfriends and brothers and pretty much everyone scrambled to learn how to take care of beloved androids on their own.
Gavin was one of the most capable ones. He knew how to do most of the mechanical work and quickly taught himself the software and systems elements. When Nines asked him how he was so proficient… whether he learnt any of it in college… he wouldn’t respond directly. The closest Nines had gotten to an answer was a grumbled “s what happens when you share a room for fifteen years with the nerdy prick that started all this trouble in the first place”
It was initially tough on the both of them… and expensive… as they figured out how to do things by trial… but Gavin was confident and adamant that he wouldn’t let Nines down. He quickly reached a steady state, even managing to get a maintenance routine in place.
But he couldn’t be perfect.
And there were things he couldn’t control.
Androids were the most complicated cyberphysical systems on the planet. Anything and everything could go wrong at any time…
And it had… during a major OS update.
“Babe, can you hear me?”
Nines’ LED cycled yellow once and went back to red.
Gavin held one of the limp hands in his own.
“Can you feel this?”
The LED spun again.
“Great. And I’m pretty sure you can see me, I know that look in your eyes, babydoll. Hmm… okay, that means all the sensors and IOT device connections are fineee…”
The musing continued as Gavin set aside the laptop and scooted closer to Nines. A gentle hand came up to tilt the android’s face from side to side.
“But you can’t talk…”
“AAAAAAAAAA”
“Wow. Never make that noise in the bedroom again. Hmm… Okay, this means your vocal chords are fine but you can’t move your mouth. Huh.. well… you can’t seem to move anything… not that different from your usual participation levels in bed then. Not to worry.”
The only thing Nines could do was glare and Gavin seemed relieved that even that was possible. He patted the android’s cheek.
“I’ll check your motor actuation and control. Simple modules. I should be able to see anything strange right away.”
Gavin resumed scrolling through the chunks of code and running searches for common errors. But minutes passed… and turned into an hour… and the hour, doubled, tripled.
But Gavin was undeterred. He had to be. Giving up was not an option. Plus, years of being a dedicated police officer had wiped out any fears of hard work and failure… he would scroll all night if it came to that.
A notification popped up on the screen.
RK900 #313 248 317 - 87: Sweetheart, you’ve been trying for hours. Take a break.
Gavin turned to his side. Nines could detect the worry and agitation behind the facade of lighthearted calm.
“I know right. It’s not fair. You’ve been chilling this whole time I’ve been working. Tsk tsk.”
RK900 #313 248 317 - 87: I’m serious, Gavin. Stop. Take a break for today. Call someone. You can try again tomorrow morning.
“Nines, you’re not a work assignment. I can’t take a break from you. You can get up and close this laptop for me.”
A few more hours passed. Frowning, Gavin climbed under the covers with Nines and began troubleshooting and testing all other modules too. It was a massive undertaking, but he’d be damned if he didn’t do it.
RK900 #313 248 317 - 87: Know when to give up on a lost cause.
It was nearly two in the morning when that message popped up. Gavin’s eyes were red from all the screen time, but his fighting spirit had not flagged. If anything, he felt close to the finish line. Having gone through nearly the entirety of his lover’s system architecture, there were only a few stones left unturned. He’d identify the problem, win half the battle and then the solution would flow from there. It always did. They’d be fine.
He turned to tell Nines precisely that and balked at the tears staining the android’s perfect face.
“Hey…”
Gavin leaned over his partner and wiped the tears away.
“Hey… shhh… don’t… don’t worry, I’ll take care of you…”
RK900 #313 248 317 - 87: I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry I’m putting you through all this. Things can’t go on like this. I’m such a liability. Emotionally, physically, financially! You can’t keep doing this for me, Gavin.
Gavin placed the laptop on the bedside table and slipped deeper under the covers, wrapping himself around Nines’ still form.
“It’s a good thing you can’t speak right now, cause you’re talking some major bullshit, baby. You are going to be FINE. I will take care of you, like always, like I promised.
You are not a liability. You are my man. I signed up for this. If you were human and sick and I dunno, needed a kidney or something, I’d simply give it to you. You and I are bound like that. For life.
So quit bitching, let me do my thing, and when you’re back… you know how to thank me.”
He smiled genuinely as he said that, stroking the android’s skin and trying to calm him down. When the speed of the LED cycles came down and the colour stabilised at a warm amber, Gavin kissed the frozen lips and gave Nines one last cuddle before returning to his computer.
Sunrise began to streak across the dark sky by the time the critical error was identified. Gavin sighed deeply as he pulled up the faulty synchronisation that had jammed the hundreds of motors and drives throughout Nines’ body.
There was actually nothing much to be said for the root cause of the failed execution loop. Just improper methods written for some of the new hardware they had installed the previous week.
That’s what they got for using uncertified biocomponents and unlicensed third party software bought off the seedier parts of the internet. Some incompatibility somewhere would inevitably trip them up. Gavin was usually able to see such trouble before it found them… but even he couldn’t be perfect.
He stretched and cracked his spine and wiggled his fingers before plunging into rewriting the problematic section. He would sleep like a log after this… but first, he had to sprint to the finish line.
And he did.
At 7AM, Gavin finally copied the clean code into the compiler and hit execute. After a brief reinitialisation, Nines blinked awake. He raised his hands tentatively. As soon as he realised full functionality had been restored, he sat up and threw himself at Gavin, smothering the exhausted human in a giant hug.
Gavin hugged back, fighting to keep his emotions at bay.
“All… all good?”
“You saved my life. Again.”
“I’ll do it a thousand times more if I need to.”
“I thought I was done for.”
“Don’t be dramatic. It was just some bad code.”
“I could have been stuck like that forever. Never moving, never talking. Just lying there till my charge drains out. That could have been the end for us, and frankly, I was prepared for that eventuality. You should be too.”
“Never.”
“I don’t doubt your abilities, sweetheart, but we are painfully limited by our resources. There’s things in this world that only Cyberlife can do and they’re never coming back. We have to make our peace with that. Pulling all-nighters just to keep me alive… it’s not sustainable.”
“Hey it’s not like this happens all the time, Nines. I get that this was really scary, but it’s not always like this… so please don’t tell me whether things are sustainable. I will always fight for you. End of discussion.”
Nines didn’t respond and just rested his head on Gavin’s shoulder. His steel blue eyes were fixed on the pair of birds fluttering outside their bedroom window. They sat intertwined like that on the bed for a while. Now that he could, Nines didn’t seem to want to stop holding his partner. The birds landed on the window sill, chirping away and enjoying the morning breeze.
“They’re really quite sweet, aren’t they? The two of them are always here in the morning. I should build them a little bath in our garden.”
“They’re mates.”
“Huh. Just like us.”
“You know… it’s just a myth, what they say… that birds die when their mates do.”
“What?”
“Most species will go through a grieving period, but after that they will begin courtship again.”
“What the phck are you on about? No one’s dying and no one’s beginning courtship again. Nines, I’d move heaven and earth before anything like that happens.
Besides, if I really, really couldn’t get your body to work, worst case scenario, I’d just transfer you to a mobile device. Carry you around like a voice in my head… like my conscience… I promise you that nothing can keep us apart.”
It wasn’t all that easy to convince Nines, and Gavin wasn’t about to try. It had been an ordeal for the both of them. It wasn’t the first time, and it might not be the last. But for the time being, they had emerged, and they had each other, and that was all that mattered.
Yawning, Gavin lay back among the mussed sheets and pulled Nines with him. Birdsong and the muted whir of thirium pump compressions lulled him into a dreamless sleep.

“What did you fuck up?”, you heard Loki’s sharp whisper through the earbud, while you frantically searched through papers and papers and some more papers.
“I didn’t fuck up. I have the guy. I have information”, cleared Bucky. “Hey, DON’T MOVE”, he shouted at the kidnapped, cocking his gun. He cleared his throat before talking again. “Good and bad news”.
“Must be Christmas”, you said.
“No, Christmas is when you only have good news”, said Bucky.
“Not in my family. Generally, there was only bad news and food. Food was the good news”.
“I love how professional and focused on the mission you two are. Stark would be so proud”.
“Wait, I’m invested now. Tell me more about your family, y/n”.
“For the Norns, I don’t have much time. The information, Barnes”. You could hear Loki's footsteps resonate. According to plan, he should've been walking through a hall full of burocrats, so he was right; he did not have much time.
“Okay, so, I know who has the stick”.
“Good”.
“He’s dead”.
“Not so good”.
“Not really, no”.
“What do we do now?”.
An alarm on the building had set off and every door locked down, with a man on a speaker announcing the disappearance of an important object followed by an awfully accurate description of the three of you.
“We run, that’s what we do now”.
You didn’t have to say more. Bucky threw himself off the window before it finished closing. You looked around desperately, trying to find a way to free yourself from that office. Two security guards entered the room screaming for you to get on the floor, and instead you made an unstable wall with the desk and chairs, avoiding getting shot and giving you enough time to figure out some sort of weapon to take them down.
The watch was already used, the knives were useless if they had guns, you didn’t have a gun yourself (silly you), and the parachute was apparently not working anymore, so you couldn’t jump off the window like your teammates. Damn.
“By any chance”, you whispered through your microphone “could you tele…”, but Loki gave you no time to finish the sentence and teleported himself to the office, still in the shape of a security guard.
“My dearest friend”, he said to one of the shooters, opening his arms welcomingly, “how’s the family?”.
“What the fuck, Robert?” asked angrily one of the real guards. “How did you…”.
Loki kicked off his gun and touched his head with a halo of green lights, making him fall unconscious to the floor. He looked up and down at the second security guard and formed half a smile.
“And what about your wife? Is she well?”.
“You ain’t Robert, ain’t ya?”.
“Mmh, nah”.
You grabbed the second security guard from behind and made him trip, immobilizing his arms and legs, and held his own gun to his head. Loki watched you amused, and then transformed back into himself.
“Oh, there you are”, you greeted him. “Did Buck say anything about the walking dead?”.
“The… what?”.
“The man with the stick. If he’s dead, who activated the alarm? Someone has to have it”.
“He didn’t say anything else. Can’t you track it down?”.
“If I could, why would we have done all of this for?”.
“Point made”.
“I need to get back to our room, take some things off the checklist before going all in for a new plan”.
“Alri…”, he started saying, but his gaze fell back on the immobilized guard you were holding down. “What are you planning on doing with him? He saw our faces”.
“If you let me live I won’t talk about this at all”, he pleaded, face squished against the floor. “I have kids, please”.
“He’s lying, he has no kids”, he said with a neutral face, and you looked at him trying to tell him to communicate telepathically. Surprisingly, he understood. “What?”.
“I’m not killing him, what do we do?”.
“Just kill him, what’s all the fuss about?”. You looked at him horrorized and he rolled his eyes “alright, just threaten him enough”.
You let him go, still pointing the gun at him, and gestured to the door so he could leave. When he reached for the door knob, you shot twice at the wall, mere inches from his head, and he froze in place.
“Talk and I’ll find you”, you threatened.
“I won't say a word, I promise”.
You looked at Loki and he nodded, letting you know the man was telling the truth. You kept your eyes fixed on him while he ran away, terrified. Must be new, you thought. Loki grabbed your waist.
“What the Hell are you doing?”, you pushed him away.
“Teleporting us, as you asked”.
“You have to grab me to do that?”.
“I don’t have to. It’s so you get stability”.
“Oh. Give me a big bear hug, then. No, better, let’s cuddle” you spat with sarcasm. He sighed annoyed, massaging his temples.
“Fine. I’m not even touching you”.
As he teleported both of you, you felt your whole body tear its own cells apart and dissolve, and then regenerate them. Your head spinned like it never has, and something hit your head; but you weren’t sure if it was the floor, a wall or the roof, for your sense directions were nowhere to be found. You took a few seconds to compose yourself before opening your eyes once everything stopped moving. When you finally managed to realize where your head even was, your eyes met with Loki’s, who was holding back a smirk with his arms crossed.
“Reconsidering that cuddle next time, are you?”.
“That was… hilarious. Such a shame I missed the previous part to give me context, though”, said Bucky from the counter of the hotel room, munching on some chips. “Look, the tiny fridge had these. You were right, they’re actually great”.
“Yeah. Grab whatever, they’re on Stark’s”, you said, still with your head a bit fuzzed. Loki offered his hand to help you get up but you did it yourself. He sighed.
“How do you fit your clothes with that huge ego of yours?”.
“I don’t, I walk around naked”, you answered, opening the nearest laptop and starting to work on the checklist.
That night was like the last one. Dark, silent and with your head full on the work. Bucky was barely snoring, and Loki was sitting on his bed reading a book. Every once in a while you glanced up your work to look at how painfully beautiful he was. You hated every thought about it, of course, but you couldn’t deny his sight grew on you a bit. He was an asshole, of course. A parasite on your head. An inconvenience. A distraction, sometimes. But the warm light of the bed lamp and the shadows it formed on half of his face enhanced his features, almost like a sculpture, a piece of art.
While you thought of that you checked on his expressions, making sure he wasn’t listening to your highly embarrassing thoughts.
After a few hours, Bucky had already woken up and you were still spread on the floor, surrounded by the files and laptops from before. The light conversation had caught half the attention of the God, who was still reading peacefully. He seemed so calm you wondered what kept him up anyways.
“You think he still has it on him?”, asked Bucky, changing his shirt.
“I think it’s a possibility. I’m tracking his body down. Should be in the morgue by now, maybe they haven’t taken off his clothes yet. But if not, the security cameras would have recorded who took it from the body”.
“Groovy”.
"Oh my God, James".
"What?".
"What does groovy even mean?".
"You know... it's like saying cool beans".
"Coo... alright".
After a while, you collected all the data you needed for tomorrow. You were so exhausted your eyes were getting dry and blurry. Loki was still reading in that same place, not even fazed by the amount of hours that had happened. You got up to clean the dishes from the last meal, and he lifted his gaze up from the book.
“Wait”, he stopped you. With a wrist movement, the dishes got as clean as they could get and arranged on the shelf. You chuckled.
“I wish I had that ability”.
“Are you going to sleep now?”.
“A few hours”.
“Sleep here”, he said from his bed. You looked at Bucky’s; he fell asleep back again.
“You haven’t slept yet. I don’t want to occupy your bed”.
“I won’t, don’t worry”, you nodded, kind of worried he might pass out of tiredness in the middle of the mission. Why the hell was he not sleeping? “If it doesn’t bother you, I’d rather finish this book on here too”.
“I think there’s enough space”.
He moved and gave you space for half of the tiny bed, and you laid by his side with your arms crossed and a leg on top of the other. He went back to his book, and even though he was sitting and your sight couldn’t reach the pages, you were sure it was in Old Norse.
“What are you reading?”.
He didn’t answer right away. Doubtfully as in to share it with you or not, he then proceeded.
“Hamlet. It’s a translation in Old Norse from an author I adore. I’d say it’s an even better version than Shakespeare’s”.
You felt yourself about to smile. You tried not to, but you probably did. That was your favourite piece of literature of all times. You wondered how could that have gotten to Asgardian hands, and why would he (certainly a Midgardian hater) want to read Earth’s literature. You were so curious in that version. Was it really that good, that would be better than Shakespeare himself? Sadly, you didn’t even know how to say hello in that language.
“Do you like it so far?”.
“I’m re-reading it. Brings good memories”, he said with a subtle smile he had hoped you wouldn’t notice. But you did. Something in your chest warmed up a bit and you shook it off. No, no. Not feelings. Don’t confuse your physical attraction, don’t feed your touch starved soul. No. You had to repeat to yourself a couple of times. You were just very, very tired.
“Brings good memories to me too. I love this book”. You figured it was alright to open up a little. The situation was relaxed enough. He wasn’t snarky or avoidant. He looked… melancholic. Sad, even. Like a facet of himself he didn’t allow everyone to see.
You connected with that. Maybe you could even relate to him in some way. For years, you had a feeling of something not adding up quite right. A longing for something you couldn’t exactly pin up. Melancholy for a blank space.
But there you were, barely knew him for three days yet felt close enough. Not too much. Just a feeling. Just the traces of something that maybe happened in another life. But in this one, you would get the mission done and leave. So don’t get attached, you ordered yourself.
“It’s a really good version”.
“Wish I could read it but I don’t know Old Norse”, you said slower than you intended. Loki chuckled at your tiredness. Maybe you could push your curiosity a little further. What was the damage? That he could just say ‘piss off’ or something like that? “What good memories does it bring to you?”.
He sighed and muttered almost to himself “I used to read it to my beloved”.
You almost gasped, surprised he actually answered you. You didn’t ask for more. It was already a lot he had just trusted you with. He told you he had a beloved. You didn’t even know he had a lover, but of course he had. He was nearly a thousand years old; why wouldn’t he? Did he lose that lover, in past tense?
Curiosity grew bigger on you, but fear pushed you aback. But the questions floated around in your head as a lullaby. Your head started to weigh a little more on the pillow and everything happened slightly slower. Loki closed the book and left it resting on his lap. He whispered “I feel you have questions”, and you denied it with your head. Your eyelids fell heavier than before.
“I’m mmnmnnhnm”, you managed to sort of say before getting knocked down by sleep. You heard his laughter, but nothing more after that.

drunken wrong room encounters w adultrio (x female reader)
Disclaimer: contains some lime-y content! HISOKA
The elevator at Heaven’s Arena dinged softly as its doors opened to the 200th floor. Flushed with a giddy smile on your face, your heart was full from the night’s festivities. Today you scored your 4th win on the 200th floor, and took to a nearby bar afterwards to celebrate. Being one of the only female fighters on the floor, you were swarmed with many fans; you smiled to yourself remembering  the cheers and ruckus from everyone at the bar, hands offering you yet another shot, loud hooting when you downed them all as you found yourself happily egged on to take one too many drinks. Thankfully the corridor was well-lit, if not you’d have trouble finding your way back to your room. You turned the door handle, going inside.  Did I forget to turn off the bathroom light? you wondered absentmindedly, kicking off your shoes. The room smelled a little different - sweeter? There was a scent of damask rose, but you brushed it off. You hummed a small tune as you started to undress yourself for the night, stripping yourself of your pants and outershirts (a little dirtied from the fight earlier) and laying them over the armchair at the room desk, finally only clad in a fitted neoprene tank top and underwear. You sighed a little, steadying yourself with the desk in order to stand up straight when you felt a rush of heat behind you. Strong arms pinned your hands to the desk as you felt the immobilizing weight of another body leaning against you from behind, the scent of roses now wafting heavily close. In your disorientation you felt the texture of a soft bath towel against your butt. “Eh?? Who the hell -” your protests were cut short as the strong limbs flipped you around, maintaining their grip on your wrists. “My, my, it seems like someone went into the wrong room.” A voice purred. You were spun around to face none other than the strongest fighter at Heavens Arena. His striking red hair fell in a damp tangle around his face, still dripping wet from the shower. Your eyes followed the thin trickles of water, as it fell onto his bare, sculpted torso. “Hi-hisoka!” you gasped aloud both in shock at in the embarrassment of the man who was barely clothed and leaning over you on the desk. You felt your face flush with warmth, your head still spinning from the effect of alcohol. He moved closer, golden eyes glinting with mischief, until his face was barely inches away from yours. “I saw your fight earlier, you were.. good,” he emphasized the last word, his lips curling into a smirk. The slight suggestiveness, his piercing eyes, the proximity of his body were enough to make you more flustered, as a strange heat began to pool in your abdomen. “Wait- wh-what is thi- I’m gonna kill y-you,” you stammered incoherently. Hisoka leaned towards your ear.
“Would you like me to... stop?” he whispered, biting on your ear lobe. “A-ah!” you gasped, feeling a tinge of arousal creeping between your legs. He moved downwards to breathe lightly against your neck. “Yes...” he began, using his tongue to delicately trail your skin, travelling the length from your collarbone to your ear, “or no?” His tongue flicked your ear again. His fingers laced with yours, body pressing into you, the sensation of his tongue making you tremble as you felt the heat between your legs grow. “N-...Ye-..yes,” you struggled to form your words, your mind clouded with a feeling of confusion, irritation and pleasure, along with that heady scent of damask rose.  “Very well.” You heard a chuckle before you felt the world spin a little. Everything was a blur; you being carried bridal style - the lights and airconditioning of the corridor - another door opening and closing - the softness and familiarity of your own bed. You felt exhaustion begin to wash over you, barely making out Hisoka’s chuckled words before he closed the door. “As for a fight... I’ll do you anytime. Come to me when you’re ready, or when you want your clothes back.” ILLUMI “Y/N, are you sure you don’t want me to walk you back to your room?” Leorio asked, being the gentleman that he was. It was the 287th Hunter Exam, and you managed to clear the 4th round. Now all the participants who passed were on the airship headed from Zevil Island back to the Hunter’s Association building, and you and Leorio had taken to celebrating with rounds of indulgent drinking. “NAH IM OKAY!” you exclaimed exuberantly, even though you were clearly wasted. “Thanks for, y-your hard work todayyyyyyy, Leoleo!” “It’s Leorio!!” he yelled back, irritated but stifling a laugh, before walking towards the other residential wing of the blimp.  “Room 16...17...ah 18...?” you clambered around unsteadily, before finding the door knob. The room was dark save for a rectangular window on one wall, letting in some shafts of moonlight. The bed looked incredibly inviting after a long and tiring day, especially with the physical strain of the last exam round. White soft sheets and a thick fluffy duvet heaped on the large bed. At least there were some perks for getting this far, you thought. Standing by the side of the bed, you stretched your body in exhaustion and satisfaction. “Tsukaretaaaaa~ (trans: I’m so tired~~)” you breathed, removing all your clothes in one fell swoop, letting them fall noisily to the floor. You weren’t going to bother with a shower now, you could deal with that tomorrow. Now, you just needed some quality rest before you’d be raring to go for the last exam round the day after. You pulled the soft duvet up to your chin, ready to drift into deep sleep. Next to you, on the other side of the bed, something stirred. A soft, displeased voice grumbled, “Hisoka, what is it this time...” Someone got up and was now above you, legs on either side of your waist, forearms bent at right angles and pressed to the bed to hold themselves up. “I thought we agreed...” Illumi trailed off, looking down at the person he thought was in his bed, before realizing he had made a mistake. For a moment, he was stunned. “Huh?” “Haah?” You responded, in a drunken drawl. Through your flushed cheeks, and slightly blurred vision, you saw a beautiful man with deep raven-coloured eyes. Long black hair fell silkily down to the pillow, cascading like a veil over your head. You were vaguely aware of his arms on both sides of you, and the proximity of his body to yours, but it didn’t feel intrusive. There was almost a feline lightness to his features and limbs. You were certain that you’d never seen this man before, at least throughout the hunter exam, and you were so sure that you were dreaming. Illumi turned his head to look at the discarded clothes on the floor, before turning back to you. “Ah..” He then realized the state of you resting in his bed, and his eyes wavered a little, his heart leaping just a bit faster than usual. What should he do? How did years of assassin training not prepare him for this? At this point you had made a move to sit up slightly, the duvet falling a little further around you below your chest. “Um...”  his nimble fingers picking up the duvet to cover your chest, a faint blush dusting his pale cheeks. Enjoying every moment of what you were certain was a dream, you reached up to gently twine your slender fingers in his black hair. “So soft....” you remarked as you felt the strands, your eyes dazzling with awe and inebriation. Your hands made your way to his face, and your fingers moved along his brows, nose, before resting on his cheeks. “So soft~~” you squished his cheeks gently, giggling a little. W-wh-what was that? In a flash, the man above you moved away, and your hands grasped only at air. You sulked out loud a little before falling finally into slumber, letting out a small snore. At the other end of the bed, Illumi was awake, staring at the wall with a strange tingle in his chest, his ears unmistakably red. CHROLLO You’d just about had it. Seething with anger, you pressed your floor button in the hotel lift, leaning back to the wall with your arms crossed. You knew you would have to meet unsavoury people in your job as a reporter, but nothing had readied you for tonight’s event. This gala was attended by the supremely, grossly overpaid upper class, another fundraising event to line the pockets of yet another private trust. The pitiful looks they gave you, their derogatory comments...! Thankfully as part of the job you had a suite in the hotel that hosted the event, and you exploited the complimentary flow of alcohol too... You noticed your suite door ajar, and caught a glimpse of a service cart. Hmph, at least there’s additional room service too, you thought, pushing the door open to enter. The hotel maid caught a glimpse of you, cheeks red from all the wine and champagne, stumbling a little into the suite. Her eyes glanced over towards the master bedroom and back at you, turning embarrassed as if having understood something, before leaving the room hurriedly.
“ANNOYING RICH PEOPLE!” you yelled to yourself, flinging your shoes near the doorway before collapsing on a large leather sofa. You looked out of the down to floor windows at the glimmering lights of the city, floating hazily before you. You felt one of your dress straps fall past your shoulders, and your black evening gown was already hitched up past your knees, but you didn’t really care. A sound of soft footsteps approached before you saw someone looking down at your lying figure. His black hair fell close to his shoulders, there was a funny cross tattoo on his forehead, his grey eyes piercing and inscrutable. Ah, you remembered him from the gala too, although he was alone most of the time, interacting only with a few select people. Now he had half unbuttoned the vest of his 3-piece suit, and was in the process of loosening his tie. His voice was gentle, but contained a trace of amusement. “Miss, I’m afraid you’re in the wrong room.” “NO YOU’RE IN THE WRONG ROOM!” you yelled in drunken stupor, not even making sense anymore. You sat up disheveled. “PEOPLE LIKE YOU ARE ALL THE SAME, LOOKING DOWN ON OTHERS, USING PEOPLE LIKE THEY ARE TOYS AND THEN THROWING THEM AWAY. DO YOU EVEN HAVE ANY HUMANITY?” you ranted, not realizing that he had taken a seat on the sofa near you. He propped his head up with one hand resting on the armrest, his eyes twinkling and he gazed at you. Even with his loosened tie, and a dress shirt tucked out, there was something alluring about him, drawing you deeper into an abyss. You couldn’t tell if it was dangerous or just seductive. You didn’t even hear the words you were saying. “AND DAMN YOU AND YOUR GOODLOOKING FACE.” He chuckled to himself, before looking back into your eyes with his steely grey ones.  “And how shall people like me be punished?” he asked softly. You found yourself climbing into his lap, your tousled hair now falling a little out of your bun, you knees between his, as you leaned close to his face. You felt the heat of his body below yours. “LIKE THIS.” Without warning, you raised your hand, and gave his forehead a quick and powerful flick. He didn’t even blink, although his eyes registered some kind of shock. Then Chrollo burst out into a small laugh, running his fingers through his hair. So amusing, he thought to himself. Perhaps I can enjoy myself tonight.
Feeling a little mocked, you continued, spurred by embarrassment, “Y-YOU KNOW WHAT IT IS WITH PEOPLE LIKE YOU? NO MATTER HOW HARD YOU TRY, YOU’RE JUST... EMPTY!”
Before you knew it, suddenly you were on you back, and Chrollo’s hands gripped both of yours, pinning you down hard. Your words had struck a nerve. Surprised from the movement and his reaction, you were speechless, your cheeks now a little warmer when you realized the position you were in, your dress now hiked up almost to your waist. “Perhaps I can prove you wrong,” he whispered, leaning so close both your lips were almost touching. Chrollo knew, from all the women that threw themselves at him throughout the gala, that any of them would immediately take this chance now. He was craving a little release after all, and by this point, no one would refuse.  Then, you stared at him, face red with a mixture of anger and embarrassment, and stuck out your tongue defiantly like a child. With your hands pinned above you, you looked away, pouting. S-so cute! One of Chrollo’s hands flew to shield his face momentarily to stifle a laugh, and a discernible blush covered his cheeks. He stood up from the sofa and straightened out his shirt, walking into the bedroom before returning with an extra duvet. By then, you had dozed off asleep, and he glanced at your weary form. Such an amusing, vulnerable creature. He chuckled, laying the duvet gently over you. “Sleep well tonight, my dear. I’ll be with you in the morning when you wake.” ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Notes: I wanted to write the last Chrollo-only one for the previous situation, but somehow this floated into my mind. I found myself internally screaming when writing the Illumi portion becos Hiso-Illu just dropped so casually I’m like... sometimes I’m glad I have this brain

In This Together
For the Anon who requested : Could you write a fic where Draco and his twin (Y/N) have to go back to Hogwarts after the war and now they are the ones being bullied after bullying others for all those years? maybe a lot of angst?
Angst and a bit of sibling fluff for you!
 Draco Malfoy x Sister!Reader
You stopped walking as you approached the blank expanse of wall between platforms 9 and 10, your brother was walking ahead of you, and stopped when he no longer felt your presence. You were just standing there, eyes big, a large frown on your face. Draco responded with a frown of his own.
“What’s that matter?” He asked, and you looked away from the wall to gaze up at him.
“I don’t want to go.” You stated, clinging to your owl’s cage for dear life. Your brother let go of the trolley he was pushing with both of your trunks and beckoned you towards him. You came to him, eyes downcasted.
“Look at me,” He spoke softly, placing a hand under your chin and tilting your head up so you were looking into his eyes. His face was soft, a look he reserved for only you in moments you were alone. He moved his hand and brushed some of your hair from your face. “It’ll be alright, Y/N.” He promised you, but you couldn’t believe him when you knew even he didn’t believe his words.
“It’s not going to be how it used to be, everyone.. Everyone knows..” Knew what? You weren’t sure specifically. Knew your family was rotten, knew your father was a death eater up until the moment it no longer served him. He was a coward, and the Malfoy name was tainted with blood.
“Nothing ever stays the same for long,” He reminded you. “We are Malfoys, we will hold our heads high, and we will triumph. If not today, tomorrow.” He assured and you felt slightly better. That was until someone banged into you, sending you into your brother's chest. Draco grabbed you and looked over your head. A group of 6th year Gyffindor girls past you, sending you withering looks as they smirked and giggled to themselves.
“Alright traitors?” They asked, all lifting their sleeves and pretending to touch their wands to invisible dark marks.
“What ever will you do without a master to serve?” They asked, and you winced. Draco glared, putting an arm around your shoulder and turning you away from them, grabbing the trolley again and stalking away, guiding you with him.
“Ignore them, they’re idiots.” He whispered.
“They’re right,” You muttered mostly to yourself. Draco looked at you and sighed before nodding towards the wall.
“Go first,” You nodded back and held your cage close to your chest as you jogged towards the wall, passing through it like it was air. A moment later and Draco was by your side again. He steered you towards the train, giving your trunks to a worker to load before ushering you onto the train. You walked down the corridor, met by an array of stares, and glares, and whispers. Draco found an empty compartment and pulled you into it, shutting out the rest of the world.
“This is going to be hell,” You whispered, eyes welling slightly with tears, but you wouldn’t let them fall. He was right, you were a Malfoy and you had to hold your head high, even now.
“It will be alright. Once were settled in, kids will find something else to occupy themselves with, I assure you.” You sighed, leaning against the window and looking out at all the people milling about and smiling. Nothing ever stays the same for long, you repeated your brother’s words to you as comfort. Even the bad. Nothing ever stays the same for long.
However, this time, it did. The entire school was out to get you and your brother, at least that’s how it felt. The first week of class a group of Hufflepuffs of all people had cornered your brother, hexing him. He was in the hospital wing for two days, you by his side every moment. And it didn’t get better from there. Wherever you went you were met with glares and snide remarks.
Between preparing for your NEWT exams, enduring bullying like you’d never experienced before, and battling your brother’s rotten attitude; you were spiralling. So far only Draco had been physically assaulted, but you were constantly on edge, paranoid, watching your own back was hard and you were beginning to think your brother had given up. He wasn’t eating, and judging from the bags under his eyes, he wasn’t sleeping as well.
You were alone in a 5th floor corridor, sitting on the floor and writing an essay. The common room was becoming too much for you, too many people, too many stares. But you couldn’t go to the library either, without people bothering you with rhetorics on your family and mean words about how pathetic you all were. So you sat, alone, in the hallway.
Suddenly there were footsteps, and you looked up, seeing the same group of Gryffindors who had shoved you on the first day of school, and they were coming your way. Grinning ear to ear as they came to stop in front of you.
“Yes?” You asked, trying to hold your head high like your brother always reminded you to, but you had to admit, you were scared and terribly outnumbered.
“Hello little traitor,” The lead girl greeted you, “Kicked from your own common room? Even the Slytherins are embarrassed by you.” She sneered. You frowned, shaking your head. You didn’t need to explain yourself to this lot.
“No,” You replied simply, “Now kindly leave, I’m busy.”
“Awe, she’s busy.” She came towards you, ripping the parchment from your hands, you stood up, reaching for your wand.
“Give it back.”
“No,” She laughed, mocking you. She ripped the parchment into a million little pieces and tossed it into your face, “Stupid cow.” You winced, wand held loosely in your hand. “What are you gonna do about it? Gonna use an unforgivable curse on me?” She asked, and you turned away, picking up your bag to try and walk away but another one of the girls grabbed your strap, pulling you towards her.
“Hey!” You yelled, stumbling and tripping, you fell to your knees and looked up at the group with wide eyes.
“Awe she’s scared!”
“Petrificus Totalus” One of them pointed their wand at you and your entire body locked up, causing you to fall and land on your face. They flipped you over and grinned down at you. “You and your shitty family should have gone into hiding.” She informed you, and you couldn’t help but mentally agree.
“Furnunculus.” Another girl spoke and suddenly you were covered in violently painful boils and pimples, you would have cried out in pain if you weren’t immobilized.
“Now she looks as rotten as she is on the inside,” One of the girls spoke and they all laughed. Pain shot through your face as one of them kicked you in the nose, you felt the hot blood streaming down your face, but still couldn’t move. There was another set of footsteps from somewhere far away and the girls went running. You laid there, unable to move. The footsteps grew closer, and suddenly broke into a run, and your brother’s face appeared above you, eyes wild and wide.
“Y/N, Y/N!” He cried, afraid to touch you. He pulled his wand out and spoke the counter curse to unfreeze you. You shot up into a seated position, tears streaming down your face. The boils and broken nose were another story, Draco couldn’t fix those, “I’ve been looking all over for you,” He stated, reaching out to touch your face, causing you to wince in pain, “What happened? We need to get you to the hospital wing.”
“They ganged up on me, I was writing an essay,” You sobbed and Draco gently wrapped you into a hug, rubbing his hand over your hair, smoothing it down.
“Shh, it’s alright,” But it wasn’t, nothing was alright. “Come along,” He spoke softly, standing up and helping you up as well. He took your bag and slung it over his shoulder, offering you his arm for support. Together you slowly walked to the hospital wing.
“My goodness!” Madam Pomfrey cried when you came in, “Sit! Sit here!” She motioned towards a bed and Draco helped you towards it. You were thankful she didn’t ask what happened, she probably already knew. “Don’t move, let me get my potions.” Draco nodded and sat beside you on the bed, holding your hand. Pomfrey came back with several bottles and handed you one.
“This should take care of the boils.” You drank it quickly, gagging on the putrid taste of the thick liquid. You handed the bottle back, Draco never taking his eyes off you. “This is for the pain,” She handed you another bottle, and you drank it. This one tasted slightly better. She took the bottle back and handed you one more, “And a peppering up potion, you look.. Exhausted, my dear.” You thanked her and took it, drinking it quickly. She took her wand out, and reset your nose, causing you to cry out slightly in pain, making your brother wince in sympathy. She handed you a wet rag and you cleaned the blood up.
“Thanks,” You muttered and she nodded.
“Of course, darling, you will have to stay the night, maybe two, just until all the boils are gone.” You nodded and Draco thanked her as well. When she left, she pulled the curtains around your bed shut leaving you both alone. You laid down on the small hospital bed, your brother joining, laying beside you. You sat in uncomfortable silence for some time.
“I’m sorry.” He finally spoke and you turned to look at him confused.
“For what? You didn’t hex me.”
“I haven’t been taking care of you, I haven’t been watching after you,” His eyes were slightly red, was he crying? “I should have been. I was so caught up in my own misery, I forgot you, you were going through the same thing.” Your eyes welled with tears and you leaned into him.
“Don’t be sorry.” You whispered, and he wrapped you in a hug, pulling you close to him. You cuddled up into his side, the pain potion helping, you no longer hurt when you were simply touched.
“I am sorry, I am your brother. It’s my job to make sure you’re safe and I failed you.” He sniffled next to you, as you cried into his chest.
“I don’t want to be here anymore,” You sobbed out, voice cracking and his arms tightened around you.
“We will graduate soon, and we will never have to see these people again.”
“I don’t want to go home either,” You admitted, “I can’t stay here! Forever, just my surname will leave me plagued. We won’t get jobs, we won’t make friends, nothing.”
“So we will leave.” He assured you, “We will get through these next few months, together, and then we will leave. Somewhere where nobody knows who we are.” You pulled back far enough to look at him, tears streaming down your cheeks.
“Promise?”
“I promise,” He swore, placing a hand over his heart, “Anywhere you want to go, we will go. We will be okay. Nothing ever stays the same for long,” He reminded you and you began crying again. He pulled you back into an embrace, allowing you to bury your face in his chest as you both cried it out. Together, you and your brother against the world.

regrets | chapter five

pairings: levi ackerman x reader / eren jaeger x reader
themes: enemies to lovers, slowburn, angst, fluff, smut

Erwin had made an announcement at breakfast, and it took a few hours to settle into your bones. At first, you were excited -- you all were before the reality of the next few days really set in. Finally, something different, you had thought, knowing your friends shared the sentiment. Now, as you laid out your uniform for the events of tomorrow morning, fear infected your brain. There would be a scouting expedition outside the walls tomorrow.
You had just returned from another stables rendezvous with Eren. Today made a week of meeting him every night. You had one more week of bliss ahead of you, and this had to fuck it all up. You were angry, and afraid, and exhausted. Everyone was fast asleep around you, making you envious. You doubted you would be able to sleep much that night. You dropped into your bed, letting out a soft groan. You loved being a Scout, and you weren't necessarily afraid of titans, either. You were mostly afraid of losing someone. Before every mission, you thought about your friends. Sometimes you felt like you were the only one in the group that wondered if you would all make it back alive.
You tried to distract yourself by thinking about Eren, but it didn't work. He was nothing but excited about tomorrow's expedition. He had talked about it all night while you nodded your head in agreement, not wanting to ruin his mood. You knew you would be riding alongside him and your friends the next day, led by Levi. Having Sasha, Connie, and Jean near you would ease your mind a bit, you hoped. It was hard to be upset that you were on Levi's squad, despite hating him. At least you knew your friends would be well protected.
After what felt like hours of laying there in frightening thought, you finally drifted off to sleep. Instead of terrifying memories in your dreams, you saw your friends being eaten right in front of you. It's safe to say you didn't sleep for long.
---
You could feel your horse breathing underneath you. His breaths were slow and calm. You wished you could share his collected nature. Your breaths, on the other hand, were shallow and quick. You could feel your heartbeat in your skull; it seemed to block out all the noise around you. You started forward, kicking your heel into your horse's side as your eyes focused on the back of Levi's head. Jean was next to you, then Eren and Mikasa. Connie, Sasha, and Armin were behind. You thought Jean might have said something before he smiled over at you, but you couldn't hear him. As the walls grew further behind you, your heart sunk to your stomach.
You could see red flares shot along the edges of the formation every few minutes. It was morbid, but you couldn't help but be glad that you and your friends were positioned in the middle. You worried for Historia and Ymir, but you knew they wouldn't allow anything to happen to the other if they could help it. They were likely safer with each other than they would be with Erwin himself.
It was unlikely that you and your friends would encounter a titan on this mission until it was time to complete your objective. The goal was to capture an abnormal titan; it was mostly to satisfy Hange's insatiable curiosity, but there was no denying that any information would be valuable to the people of Paradis.
You saw it. A mix of "finally" and anxiety settled into your bones as the black flare shot into the sky, seemingly straight into the sun. It was on the edge of the formation, too far for you to actually lay your eyes on the titan. Then, less than a minute later, another column of black erupted -- closer this time. You winced at the thought of your dead comrades on the edge. Another erupted, even closer to the middle.
"This titan is moving impossibly fast," Jean commented, his voice strained in worry. Levi did not look back, or at the flares.
"Stay focused on the objective," he said flatly, not allowing his eyes to falter even as the flares grew closer.
You could see the titan now, just barely. The top of its head was covered in dull brown hair. It seemed to be a quadriped titan; it ran like an animal, the ground exploding around each step. You tried to ignore the blood and limbs mixed with it. It wasn't easy. It and the black smoke grew so close you couldn't stand it.
"Levi," you called, your voice unwavering despite your stomach being in knots. "What do we do?"
"Focus on your mission."
"Do you see how many people are dead?" you asked, anger filling your chest. "We cannot capture this titan."
"What did you expect to happen? Did you think the abnormal we captured would be The Peaceful Titan? Don't act dense. You are a soldier. Focus on your orders," the ice in his voice fueled the fire in yours.
"So we're to wait around while our comrades die?"
"Yes."
You could see it clearly now. The titan bounded toward the middle. You were nowhere near where you needed to be to successfully capture it. There were no trees, nothing to grab onto. The plan was absolutely meaningless. It was like you were blinded when you saw its horrifying face. You were sure this would be the moment you experienced your friends meeting their end. Connie shot his flare as it edged closer.
"Push forward," Levi stated coldly. "It will chase."
"Our horses can't move that fast," Armin spoke up. "We'll be dead before we reach the forest." You could feel the ground shake. Fellow scouts approached it in waves, five to ten of them fighting to protect Levi Squad at a time, and all of them dying one by one before your eyes.
It happened so quickly you knew you'd be completely unable to recall any of the events unfolding in front of you. Like time skipped, the titan was gripping Jean in its hand, so large it nearly covered him entirely as it lifted him to its open mouth. You weren't sure what happened between witnessing your worst fear and your ODM gear penetrating the titan's shoulder, but you were hurdling toward the titan without any plans.
Your instincts kicked in as you ripped out of its shoulder and connected your gear to its legs instead, slicing the wrist that held Jean on your way down. You went for its ankles in an attempt to render it immobile, but you knew it could continue to drag itself forward with its hands if need be. It fell, unable to catch itself because of the deep slice in its wrist. You watched, almost allowing yourself to smile, as Jean wiggled free and climbed atop Connie's horse. Your celebration was cut short, however, when the titan's knee fell onto your leg, pinning you to the ground.
Everything was blurry for a moment after your head slammed to the ground. It was almost enough to keep you from feeling the excruciating pain in your left leg as the bone snapped. But not quite. You laid there in absolute agony, unsure of what exactly was going on around you. You could feel the heat as the titan healed above you, but you couldn't focus enough to consider what would happen when it healed completely.
One second you were still on the ground, hearing the shouts of your friends as slurred-together, entirely meaningless words. The next, you were in the titan's hand, your body completely enveloped. The pressure on your leg was not doing you any favors. The only coherent thought in your head was that you were absolutely going to die.
In your next conscious moment, you were laid across a pair of arms -- a touch you didn't recognize. Your vision was blurred as you tried to see the face above you, slowly coming into focus. The head was backlit by the sun, like a halo. You felt your lips turn up a bit, woozy and dreamy. Your smile dropped as your eyes focused and the pain set back in.
Levi was holding you. The titan lay dead behind him.
---
You were getting tired of blurry vision. You awoke in an infirmary bed, your leg elevated in the air by some sort of sling. Your eyes started to flutter closed again, though you fought your hardest. The only thing able to keep you from returning to peaceful and painless sleep was the voice piping up at your side.
"Are you a fucking idiot?"
Levi. Again. You were absolutely exhausted from his seemingly constant presence.
"Sometimes. Why?" you managed to get out of your aching, dry throat. You looked around for water and saw some on the table next to you. You started to sit up and reach for it, but he knocked your hand back to your side with his own and grabbed it quickly. He handed it to you, almost gently. You took it from him, brow furrowed, and lifted it to your mouth.
"Do you realize how completely stupid your stunt out there was? You nearly died," he told you, leaning back in his chair.
"Was I supposed to just let it eat Jean?" you asked him, anger in your voice. "I would've rather died."
"No, you were supposed to let me handle it. You had no orders to attack."
"I didn't need orders. My friend was about to die. You weren't handling it."
"I ended up handling it anyway, didn't I? If you would've stood down in the first place, I could've done it without any injuries on my squad. But, because you had to protect your boyfriend and couldn't trust your commanding officer, I'm left with one of my best soldiers stuck in bed for no fucking reason. Can you see how frustrating that is?"
"He's not my boyfriend," you told him. It felt stupid that that was the first thing that came from your mouth.
"Ah, yes," he pinched the bridge of his nose with his fingers. "There's the boyfriend situation as well."
"What boyfriend situation?"
"Eren came to sit with you last night. He felt inclined to recount certain events in the stables," He said flatly, his grey eyes piercing yours with strange anger.
You were mortified. Your hand clenched around the glass of water so tightly you were sure it would break. You struggled to maintain eye contact, the last thing you wanted being showing weakness to the insufferable man sat beside you.
"He's already aware that I know, and is awaiting punishment. I haven't yet decided what would best suit this situation. I'm sure your fellow soldiers know, as well. I wasn't exactly secretive in my scolding," he smirked, so small you were sure you wouldn't have noticed it it your eyes weren't focused so solely on his expression.
You finally gained the courage to speak as his words sent rage flooding through your veins. "Why does it matter to you?"
"Well, you broke explicit rules, to start with. Secondly, what if you were to fall pregnant? Do you realize how dangerous that could be for yourself? Not to mention that Eren is not entirely safe to be around; we do not know all that there is to know about his titan. He is dangerous."
"He's not dangerous, Levi."
"Perhaps he isn't. But I can assure you that I am. If there's one thing you will learn before you are healed enough to fight again, it's respect. I'm tired of you acting stupid, brat. Grow up a bit."
You huffed, taking a gulp from your glass of water. You refused to look at him.
"I'll be back to monitor your progress. For now, I have to leave. I'm sure your friends would like to discuss your secret meetings with Eren, anyway. I think I saw Jean waiting in the hall."
With that, he rose, took the glass from your hand and set it on the table, turned, and left.
You promptly decided that you were fucked.

You had no idea what you were anticipating as you got home from work today. Before you had left Hobi was acting stranger than normal. His temper was short, his motions were labored, and he wasn't himself. It didn’t take long for you to realize something was wrong, and before you had even gone on lunch you received a text from your boyfriend.
Hobi: I don’t want you to be alarmed, but I think I’m in heat
There was no time to think about the next course of action, it was clear what you had to do. The next thing you knew you were in your bosses office, telling her that you were beginning to feel ill and that you’d be taking the rest of the day off.
He could smell that you were home before you had even walked through your front door. Hobi’s senses were mad, higher than he had ever experienced before.
To put it lightly, you were worried. You had never experienced a werewolf in heat before, only heard about it from the older boys and their girlfriends in passing. But now there was no time to ask questions. Hobi was in heat and you’d have to figure it out together.
Muffled moans traveled throughout the apartment as Hobi ached in pain in your bedroom. Concern immediately flooded your system, not knowing if you should rush over to check on him or take things slow. The groaning only gets louder as you approach the bedroom door, pressing your ear up to the door to try and make out the slur of words coming from his mouth.
“Y/N?” He nearly cries as he senses your presence, the smell of you awakening senses he didn’t even know he had.
Slowly, you turn the handle of the door to reveal yourself to him.
He’s in pain, lying in a pool of his own sweat as a dewy sheen glistens over his body. The only thing covering him is a pair of cotton underwear. They were the only thing soft and breathable enough that he could stand to have on his body, unlike the other clothes torn into shreds that he ripped off earlier. Hopefully he can hold back from treating yours in the same way – you really like the blouse you have on today.
As you see him curled up on the bed you can’t help but become worried for his current state. His face is scrunched in agony, soft groans leaving his lips between each labored breath. Slowly, you make your way over to him, careful not to move too quickly and startle his instincts.
You can only imagine the pain he's gone through over the past few hours. Knowing he's broken every bone in his body to turn, over and over again. Finally that part was over for now, but the everlasting ache of his muscles is still no match for his oncoming heat.
“It hurts,” he moans as his arms cup his sides roughly, rocking back and forth in attempts to relieve some of the pain. You can feel the heat radiating off his body from a foot away.
Instinctively, your hand reaches out to stroke his arm, the hairs standing up as his body shivers in a cold sweat. And then you notice it. The way his nostrils flare and exhale thickly as his eyes begin to glow an amber and gold hue. Your touch comforted him yet riled him up all at once, his wolf wholly and completely awake now that your skin was on his.
His eyes lock on you intently, a deep message hidden behind in his stare – almost like he was going to swallow you whole. You know what he needed. By the bulge in his pants to the look in his eyes you can tell it's you he wants – the only thing he needs at this moment, and you are ready for it.
You already know what you were getting yourself into when you began dating a wolf. It was only a matter of time before your sex life did a 180, and no, you weren’t entirely sure what to expect but today was the day that you’d finally understand what this was all about.
Like a second wind had taken over him, Hobi sits up in the bed, his posture firm and his muscles straining as he holds himself from grabbing you by the waist and mounting you at that moment. He’s waiting for reassurance from you, holding onto every ounce of strength he has before moving an inch.
And so you reach out to him again, bending at the waist as you place your arms on his shoulders, placing a gentle kiss on his lips. “I’m ready,” is all you have to say for him to know, and then he’s scooping you up with his supernatural strength to lay you on the bed.
Without missing a beat, Hobi’s fingers are looping through the sides of your underwear and ripping them down your legs. Surprisingly, you are a lot less nervous than you had expected to be. Maybe because you know how much pain he is in from holding himself back, and all you want is to finally satisfy his wolf that has been eating away at him for so long.
Your sweet scent fills his nostrils as he moves closer to your cunt. Closing his eyes, he basks in your scent – your scent overtaking him stronger than ever before. With deep inhale, he nestles his nose against your core, admiring the way you smelled before extending his tongue to lap at your slit. Immediately, your body jerks in reaction to his touch, the sensitivity of your clit being tested by his quick and frivolous motions.
“Tastes so good,” he mumbles against your inner thigh, making your body jerk at the vibration of his lips. His ministrations are much more impactful than before; this time he's hungry for it, dying to satisfy an itch that was nearly impossible to scratch.
Soon his hands are prying your legs as far apart as they could go, shoving his face into your center and devouring any juices that slipped past your entrance. Even though you had done this a hundred times, it felt different. He was driven by hunger, his actions quick and frivolous to ready you for his length. It was different but it was intentional; his sole purpose backing each and every flick of his tongue.
Moans pass his lips as they wrap around your clit, sucking harshly. Involuntarily your hips buck towards him, unable to control your own actions from the pleasure his mouth is bringing you. You can tell that he likes it by the way his arms wrap around your thighs, holding you down as his tongue flicks past your entrance and into your velvety walls.
A string of curses leave your lips as your body is rendered immobile, unable to move from the way he’s holding your legs to the bed. He’s ravenous – his nose pressing roughly into your clit as his tongue explores your sex. As much as he wants to be gentle he can’t; his wolf sending each of his senses into overdrive with each drip of arousal that lands on his tongue.
He’s moving so quickly that you can’t subdue your quickly approaching high. Any tug at his hair only makes him move faster, bringing you closer and closer to ecstasy at an alarming rate.
“Hobi,” you cry out, “I’m gonna cum if you keep at it like that.”
He doesn’t respond to you with words, only squeezes your thighs to acknowledge you. He’s too busy devouring your pussy to come up for air. Your words only make him move faster and more desperately, your high coming to a peak as he flattens his tongue across your slit. You take a quick glimpse of his amber eyes before he squeezes them shut, feverishly indulging in your release, licking it up as if his life depended on it.
By now a layer of perspiration has coated your body, the silky fabric of your blouse sticking to your skin. But Hobi isn’t done – things are just getting started.
Retreating from his spot between your legs, he sits back on his heels, wiping any left over arousal coating his chin with the back of his hand. He’s still hungry – the squint of his eyes and the determined look on his face told you so. Heat coursed through your veins as you waited for him to make his next move. He was trying to be patient, trying to let you recover for a moment before he got back to business, but you knew what he wanted.
In the interest of time you remove your own shirt, sitting up on the bed to throw the garment to the side and unclip your bra. His hungry eyes take in your nude figure as he moves forward to push you back onto the mattress. Your body relaxes as his lips connect to a sweet spot on your neck, sucking on it harshly, sure to leave a mark for tomorrow.
You arch your back in response as his lips begin to trail down your chest. A line of wet kisses is left behind as he makes his way down to one of your breasts, taking it in his mouth and circling the sensitive bud with his tongue. His teeth brush gently across your nipple, the sensation of his growing canines scraping against it breaking goosebumps against your skin.
Every day since he first turned has been leading up to this moment. Waiting out each passing moment for a sign of carnal instincts to over take him. Over the past few days you’d just brushed off his overly clingy demeanor, assuming it was just him growing into himself as a wolf. His suspicious and on-edge behavior went completely overlooked. You didn’t expect Hobi’s first heat to come on so soon after turning, but alas, here you were.
Hobi’s hands grab a hold of your hips, flipping you over so that you're laying with your chest pushed flush against the mattress, legs bent and the knees with your ass on full display. Your smell consumes him; all that he can think about is the taste of your arousal on his lips and how badly he needs to be inside you now.
His long digits trace your slit as arousal floods from your entrance, coating your slick on his fingertips. Anticipation pangs at your chest as you wait for his next move. You can only imagine the restraint he is holding onto at this moment. Everything in him wants to drive his hardened member into you, but he knows that your human body is not meant to handle what is coming for you.
Hobi’s eye’s screw shut as he brings a finger up to his mouth, basking in the taste of you. A wanton moan erupts from his lips at the taste – so perfectly sweet he would never be able to get enough.
Dire thoughts rush through your mind as you rest on your elbows, face turned to the side to try and see Hobi out of your peripheral vision. His pupils are completely blown, eyes focused only on your center as his chest heaves in anticipation. He’s sizing you up, wondering if you’d be able to accommodate his new size. It worries him deeply, he doesn’t want to hurt you, but he knew once he started he wouldn’t be able to control himself like he normally could. You needed to do something, say something to help settle the internal warfare consuming his mind.
“I’m ready, Hoseok.”
His hand is quick to line himself up with your entrance, grasping onto your hips with such pressure that it is sure to leave bruises tomorrow. Sharp fingernails dig into your skin as his tip meets your entrance. It’s fiery and red, inflamed from how hard he is. The precum that leaks from his tip coats your slit, combining with the wetness dripping down your thighs to create a delicious mixture.
One last reassuring squeeze of your side is all he gives before pushing into you ruggedly. A sharp gasp leaves your lips as he makes his way into your core, surprised at this new sensation. His size is bigger than you’d ever taken before, so much thicker and longer than his normal length. It’s a lot to take in at once, and he’s trying his best to let you relax as your body adjusts to his size.
“You can move,” you say, lip caught between your teeth as your walls stretch further around him.
With your fists grasping for the sheets, Hobi begins thrusting his hips slowly  into you– holding out a second each time he bottoms out to let you breathe. His nails only dig into your sides further, the only thing giving him a grip onto reality to hold back his animalistic instincts.
Deep grunts leave his mouth as he tries to hold himself back, but he can feel his humanity slipping further and further away with each clench of your pussy.
“Can’t hold back much longer,” he bares his teeth, canines prominent in his bite, “need to breed you now.”
Your eyes nearly bulge out of your head as his words meet your ears.
You’d never had serious baby talk before let alone tried for one. It was his primal instincts talking, you were sure of it. But even if it wasn't there was no turning back now. He was losing control and he was losing it quickly.
Quickly, his hips snap into yours, his muscles flexing as he holds your body steady, fucking into you deeply. Breath is sucked out of you as his pace increases; stars forming at the back of your eyelids as you squeeze them shut, mouth salivating at the increasing pleasure bestowing upon you. His length is a lot to get used to, but the everlasting pressure against your g-spot was making the pain melt away.
Hobi thrusts in and out of your effortlessly, your abundance of arousal coating his cock and making it easy for him to slide in and out of your velvety walls. With each thrust he bottoms out, and it becomes difficult for you to remain upright. Limbs shaking from pleasure, your elbows begin to give way, landing you flat against the mattress.
Your mouth opens, but the only thing able to escape is a silent scream, too immersed in the feeling of him battering your walls to make a sound. A loud leaves you lips as he pulls you back up, his arms wrapping around your waist to use all his strength to hold you in position. His chest is pressed flush against your back, the heat radiating off his body soothing you as his mouth meets your ear. A quick nip is placed on your earlobe as he catches it between his canines. It doesn’t hurt like you’d expect it too, or maybe you’re too caught up in his throbbing shaft plunging into you to notice if it does.
“Taking me so well.”
His praise quickly soothes your nerves, helping you relax into him as he holds your body close, closer than you had ever felt to him before. His tip is repeatedly hitting against the sensitive spot deep inside of you, you know he’s not ready to let up just yet, but you’re too on edge to hold on.
“Hobi I-I’m gonna–”
“I can smell it,” he groans, mouth meeting your neck as he sucks harshly on it. You can feel his canines scraping against your soft skin, itching to break the flesh and claim you. It’s what he’d always wanted – having you here like this just makes it all the more enticing.
A string of cuss words fall from your lips as your eyes clamp shut, relishing in your release as your pussy spasms around his cock. His movements don’t slow either – his pace is still erratic, plummeting into you at an ungodly rate.
Feeling your release over him only makes him thrust harder, deeper. It sends him into a full blown frenzy, unable to keep himself from chasing his high. “Smells so sweet, need to make you mine.”
You knew what this means. You knew you already were his, just not in that way yet. He was holding onto every last ounce of strength to stop himself from biting, from sinking his teeth into your precious skin and claiming you as his mate. It was painful for him to keep at it like this, and you didn’t have any second thoughts before saying it.
“Do it, Hoseok,” the words slip between cries, still shaking in the aftermath of your orgasm, “claim me.”
So he does.
His eyes slam shut as his mouth finds the crook of your neck, breaking the flesh as his canines sink into your skin. Screams blow past your lips as blood begins to trickle from the wound on your shoulder. Your chest tightens in pain, praying for the awful sensation to but cut short and pleasure to take over. Relief takes over once his tongue meets the small incisions made on your skin, his saliva filling the holes and alleviating the wounds as he licks up the blood.
“Mine.”
Your heart flutters at his claim, having never felt as close to him than you do right now. Firecrackers lit through your veins, the connection between you and Hoseok binding to eternity and you couldn’t be happier. It felt like you were floating on thin air. Your body is unable to focus on any pain right now, you’re too blissed out from the shock of him claiming you to notice how his cock is beginning to swell inside of you.
Cum shoots out of his member, filling you up to the brim until your abdomen begins to feel heavy and swell. That floating feeling quickly begins to fade as his orgasm keeps coming and coming, no inch of your insides gone untouched by his seed. It seems like it's never going to end, and you can feel the pressure from his release building and building inside of you. Your sensitive walls stretch as his cock expands; knotting to plug you up and make sure none of his cum drips out.
“Hobi,” you whine, tears spilling from your eyes as his cock continues to inflate inside of you, “Hobi it hurts.”
“Its almost over baby,” he comforts you, stroking your hair before guiding you onto your side, laying behind you. After such a rough round, his familiar touch eases your pain. The light kisses he places along your spine lets you sink back into him, focusing on the feeling of his soft lips instead of the balloon sized cock stretching your vagina. Gentle hands trace circles up and down your arms as you listen to the sound of his calming breath. His chest heaves as he tries to come down from the adrenaline rush.
Soft kisses soon turn into small licks running over the length of your back as you lay there, still speared on his cock. Now that his animalistic needs were met, it was all about you.
“What are you doing?”
“Cleaning you up,” he answers calmly, his lupine senses finding nothing strange with this new method of aftercare. You’re too immersed in your thoughts to question him any further; if this is what his wolf was telling him to do then so be it.
As Hobi’s knot begins to subdue he doesn’t let go. His tongue soothes over the spot of his mark, now forming into a dark scar to let everyone know you were his. Its crazy how just one bite felt like it could change the entire dynamic of your relationship. You were his now, and he was yours. Forever.
“Hobi?”
“Mmm,” he mumbles, refraining from letting his mouth leave your skin.
“Did you mean that thing you said,” your lip worries between your teeth before you can finish your question, wondering if he even remembers anything that happened or if his wolf took everything over.
“What thing?”
“The thing about breeding me?” Your eyes slam shut to brace yourself from the answer.
“Yes,” he sighs out nonchalantly, like he isn’t admitting that his intentions were to get you pregnant.
“Yes?”
“You’re my mate, Y/N,” he presses a chaste kiss between your shoulder blades before pulling out. A small whimper leaves your lips at the loss of contact, not sure if you were relieved that he was no longer inside you or not. “Of course I want you to have my pups.”
Butterflies flutter in your tummy as a smile stretches across your face. All you want to do right now is to turn around and kiss him, so you do. His face is just as bright as yours when you meet his eyes. His hair is messy and his skin is shining with perspiration, but he looks beautiful. He welcomes your kiss like he’s been waiting for it all day. Mouth chasing after your lips, capturing them in a quick kiss before pulling away.
It's the first time he’s seen your eyes since you’ve gotten home, and even then he couldn’t appreciate them like he could now. There's a different glow that he didn’t notice before. Maybe it's because he’s bound to you now, willing to do anything and everything for you.
“I love you,” you sigh, pressing your palm to his cheek. He looks so innocent now, the amber in his eyes now faded back to the chocolatey brown color you love so much.
“And I love that you’re mine.”

Kai Chisaki was one of the toughest men you had ever met. He wasn’t one to play games and he wasn’t one to take orders. And if there was one thing that this man hated about the same as germs, it was when you teased him in any way.
He wasn’t one to let someone else have control over his body, and that was exactly what happened there. If you even attempted it angered him instantly. So when the two of you had the day off the last thing he had expected was that you would have wanted to stay in the house.
He had expected you to demand he take you out for the day. He had even made reservations at your favorite restaurant and had a car ready to pick you up as soon as he made the call.
But as he lay next to your sleeping body and you started to stir he had never expected the words that came out of your mouth to happen. He had barely even noticed that your eyes had been open when you spoke to him. “Kai...”
He smiled at you, a smile that you had always found so intoxicating. “Yes, my angel?”
You opened your eyes wider and stared into his own golden orbs. You wanted nothing more than to spend the entire day laying bed with him. He had no meetings, no work, no prior engagements that the two of you had to get to. “Can we stay home today?”
His eyes widened some. “You wanted to stay home? Really?”
You reached for his face and placed your hand on his cheek. “I just want to stay in bed with you all day.” You ran your thumb over his soft skin. “It’s not like we have to do anything today.”
He placed his hand over yours and an adventurous look took over his features. “Any particular reason you want to spend the day in bed together?”
A devious look filled your face as he watched to gauge your reaction. “We haven’t had a day where we’ve laid naked together in ages Kai. We’re due for one.”
Kai rolled over and hovered over you. “You’re right darling. And if that’s what you really want, then that’s what you’re going to get.” His lips pressed against yours as they danced together. “Now be a good girl and let me show you just how much I love you.”
He lifted the blankets and disappeared underneath them. His hands gripped the inside of your thighs, pushing them apart slightly. As your dripping cunt showed before him he licked his lips. “So pretty for me. Your pussy is so wet already darling.”
You couldn’t see him, but you knew exactly what he was doing. But as you tried to move the blanket you were rendered speechless and immobile. His tongue flicked across your clit as you bunched the sheet up in your fists.
The quicker his tongue moved the more you pulled at the material. You released the fabric and reached for his hair, tugging on it softly. You knew tugging on it would drive him crazy.
Just the small tugs made his tone change. Teasing him, one of the only things he hated. He tried his hardest to keep his cool. “Don’t tease pretty girl! You’ve been so good for me, don’t ruin it now.”
You smirked and removed your hand from his hair, knowing that you had him right where you wanted him. There was a growl to his next words. “You know how I hate teasing.”
His tongue moved quicker, sliding in and out of your sex. You threw your head back into the pillow as a loud moan escaped your lips. “Fuck... Kai.”
He chuckled against your cunt, sending vibrations through you. “You like that baby?”
You were barely able to muster the yes that came from your mouth as the coil in your abdomen began to tighten.
“Tell me exactly what you want daddy Kai to do to you baby girl.” He didn’t give you a second before he was back on you.
“Fuck me Kai.” You grabbed the headboard behind you and pulled on it. “I wanna feel your cock inside me.”
His tongue stopped and a whine filled the room as the pleasure dissipated in an instant, but your orgasm still loomed over you. “As you wish my queen.” He came out from under the blanket and pulled his erection through the fly hole of his boxers. “You might wanna hold onto that bed frame a little harder darling.”
With one thrust he bottomed himself out inside of you. Each thrust hitting all the right places, waves of pleasure coursing through every inch of you. His grunts filled your ears as he rut his hips into you relentlessly.
You wrapped your arms around his lower back and dug your nails into him. He winced from the pain some, but bounced back. Your orgasm neared it’s high as you moved your hips with him, rocking into his movements.
The slight movement from your end made him even more feral. His own bliss threatened to take over as he tried to hold it back. “I’m so close, Angel.” He reached over you and grabbed the headboard. “Come for me baby.”
His words sent you over the edge. The coil snapped and euphoria washed over you as you rode out your climax. A strangled sound came from the back of his throat as he filled your quivering cunt with thick ropes of cum.
He rolled over and fought to catch his breath. “You sure you wanna spend the day in bed together?” He chuckled. “Because I’ve got some frustrations from work to get out.”
You rolled over onto your side and ran your finger down his bare chest. “I’d love for you to take them out on me, Kai.” You climbed up and straddled him, kissing his chest. “Make sure you’re stress free when you go back tomorrow.”
Kai wrapped his arms around you and pulled your body closer to him. “Don’t forget that you gave me permission.” He flipped you onto your back and winked at you. “No turning back now.”

Warning: hinted DDLG, not too explicit but reader does show signs of a Little.
*This is part of a thirst book that is both Fluff and Smut. This is a fluff one with a soulmate reader from the tattoo AU. Some future ones will be connected to this.
It was a long power struggle but the villains came on top. Many heroes and heroes-in-training lost a chip. The chips were made so they could avoid their soulmate in the event their soulmate was a villain or any other type of criminal. Most heroes were executed if they didn't match up to a villain. Some that were in training were given a choice redemption based on their year and if they interacted at all with villains before. Then, there was the rest of the classes.
These children gathered were found to have been forced to, while in the school, have a temporary working chip as well. They took it out and yet again the villains checked. You were in the last class they checked. You were young so you knew if by chance you were one... they would be older than you. You trembled at the thought of some much older woman or man potentially having right over you... you were raised to believe if someone is a villain, they can't love and they will mistreat their match.
That's terrifying.
To be honest... you hope you bleed out, but it's been slow. It'll close only to reopen if people are too rough. And it was a sloppy job. You see, you were stabbed because you were the forced 'volunteer' of what would happen if any of you resisted. They said for being a such a 'good girl and helping' they'd bandage the stab wound.
You hear the door open and you and your classmates are picked up. You didn't fight it. You were only a general class so judgement wouldn't be too harsh after they realize none matched a villain. You all were put in a line alphabetically. You were no. 14. You shiver as you see them scan the soulmate tattoo on the class rep. They pulled her away to the right... she would be okay right? The left is where the... soulmates have been pulled. Over there are nurses forced to be there. It's terrifying... this whole situation. You can't really describe it...
As each person went ahead, not single before you went to the left nor were they moved forward to die by the leader in all this....
Tomura Shigaraki.
You trembled a bit as the last person before you was moved. You trembled partly in fear and partly in pain. It still hurt. The men picked you up like the last and put you on the scan. Unlike the last thirteen people, there was green flash once it scanned the back of your neck... your tattoo was a hand with spider lilies growing from the palm. You were picked up but... brought to the left..?
The left...!
You didn't see who it was. They only said the match would appear on top of the machine, but those being scanned can't see that. A nurse takes you and says she's just going to check you over because the villains were definitely rough with the others. You could only nod.
She takes your clothes off and gasps a little "W-Were you the 'example' dear?" You nod again and she tells you to lay back as she fixes this and phones the doctor. Things got hazy from there and at some point, you passed out sometime after the doctor came.
You woke again in cozy bedroom. You were on a soft, but firm, mattress with purple sheets and a black bed cover. Under it was a fluffy blanket and even more at the foot of the bed. You had pillows around you and a couple stuffies. The nurse was at your side and smiled "Nice to see you're awake dearie. Please don't move, we don't want you to reopen the wound or undo the stitches. I was checking on your monitor. I will get someone to bring in food, alright?"
You replied hoarsely "A-Alright, ma'am..." She scurried off so you can better look around, but only on your back. There's an empty cork board, a simple desk with what you can assume are notebooks and pencils. There's a stain-glass window that cant be open and you can somewhat see has bars on the other side.
The walls were a dark shade of purple and the curtains were also black like the bed cover. There were color changing lights around the ceiling and in the center of the ceiling appeared to be the main room light. There was a TV hooked to the wall with - Blue Ray and an Xbox set up. The TV was on a clothes dresser.
You waited a few more minutes and a young girl came in with eggs, toast and some juice. The helped you sit up so you wouldn't open the wound and they supervise the meal.
You get sleepy after and they help you go back to sleep. You unconsciously hugged one of the many stuffies. You loved stuffies... back with your horrible mom who only cared that you be in a dumb hero school, you had many on your bed.
You held it close and let your dreams take you. This happened repeatedly that you asked the nurse if they put stuff in your food. She said "Yes, h-he asked us to. It's to make sure you don't reopen the wound... I assure you it's just until your fully healed, then you won't need that anymore!" She nervously chuckled it off. You latched onto her sleeve.
"Ma'am, I never saw who was flashed on the machine as to who my... mate is. Do you know?" You asked her. She looks at you sadly... "Miss L/n, it's the very man responsible for our nation's hell. Tomura Shigaraki is your match," she said as you let go. She scurried away once again.
Tomura Shigaraki.
The man who broke Izuku Midoriya. (He's alive babies)
The man who disabled your mom's sperm donor... (daddy issues :3)
A man who can leave you literally in dust is your soulmate?
Someone who has killed thousands?
The man who did the executions?
The man who you felt stare at you and your peers like you're insignificant ants?
You could only hold the stuffies, now frightened once again of your unfortunate situation. The second nurse comes again and you eat swiftly again. Would you feel safe knowing the stuffies and Blankies and the pillows you hugged so close were his doing?
Heh.
The man from the security screen room wouldn't know yet. He always kept watch of you there since that day. It was maybe two weeks ago. You're his, you had no choice. He never had the choice either. He's yet to explicitly interact, afraid one slight action from either of you would destroy your fragile body. On one hand, he could get a quirk disabling room-they had one available-and force you to share with him, but that could lead to safety issues.
It would be best left as a room used when you both are ready for it.
He knew you'd enjoy the stuffies, they questioned your mother through threats. She's expected to release some of your materialistic treasures. Anything significant. He, quite amused, enjoyed watching you ask finally who you were stuck with, although didn't like the nurse's tone. You seemed scared, but Tomura knew it would be that way. It's why he spoils you. He's bound to be shitty so you might as well get something good, right?
He really didn't want to admit he liked the idea of being able to care about someone. To be able to love them without any other reason than it's what he craves.
He hopes he won't have to discipline you too much once you're fully healed...
Eventually, it comes to the nearing point of  your healing process, but also the fact you've grown an immunity. The drug only left you unable to move now. It was quiet. No sound and unable to open your eyes... it's like a horror film. At least you know no one would harm you... but it still scared you.
After a good while, you hear a door creak open. You hear unfamiliar footsteps. These ones are more... stealthy. The nurse's were hard and left a tapping sound once it met the floor. This seemed quiet, as if he didn't want anyone to know he or she is there. You feel the bed sink in and wish you could open your eyes.
They stroke your head with only two fingers. It felt... calming. Your body accepted his touch like second nature. You hear a rough voice say "So innocent..." They gently move hair away from your face. "I wonder how you're fairing inside that little head of yours, being confined to a bed, no freedom besides what little conversation that nurse has with you... I'd imagine its boring," the voice said to your immobile body. After some thought... the voice sounded somewhat familiar.
He strokes your head again with two fingers. "You like these don't you... the stuffed animals. You cling to them like a small child, it adorable. I'm glad you like them so much... means I didn't waste time picking a few for you after that long day of going through your entire school," the voice said. His last sentence was all you needed to know who this was without any doubt. Tomura.
"You're mine regardless," he said, twirling a piece of your hair with his index finger, you assume anyway. "When you heal, I'll make sure you understand what that means," he mutters, almost too low for you to catch. It was creepy, but comforting, knowing he's talking to you while unconscious-or at least he thinks you are.
It becomes quiet, the only thing you hear is the clock, your breathing, his too, and the fabric static from your pillow. Yet, the warmth of his fingers never stops moving. They pet you almost robotically until you hear a beep from a watch. He sighs. "I'll be back tomorrow, awake or not..." he said. You blushed in your sleep as you felt chapped lips kiss your forehead, but then they leave along with your soulmate. He's gone with a simple thud of the door closing...
All while you long for his warmth again.
