Alright! I've got some good news and some bad news! The bad news is that I haven't had as much time lately to binge watch one piece, and as such, I'm running low on sanji screenshots. The good news is that I've been getting a lot of submissions lately! So I've decided that I'm gonna keep doing 3 posts a day, but now it'll be only one from my own collection and the other 2 will be from submissions. I'll keep doing this until I've built up my screenshots a bit more, and then it'll go back to how I was doing it before (ie, 3 screenshots from my collection, and 1 from submissions if I still have any). That means it would really help me out if you guys kept sending in submissions! And thanks a ton to the people who've already sent in a bunch! I really appreciate it ❤

spent weeks psyching myself up to stand up to my mum and then immediately got shot down by her 😃👍
#vent incoming i apologise in advance for the long tags#we've lived together just the two of us since dec 2021 (although her boyfriend is here like 2/3 of the time as well)#and since i got my job in march 2022 i have been paying half of all the bills (literally down to like tv license when i barely watch the tv)#which is £300 a month#plus i buy all my own food + pay for the amazon prime she uses + contribute to various household things like toilet roll etc#and she doesn't have a mortgage so i am paying the same amount as her to live in her house#(and it is very much her house not our house)#and I've never been very happy with any of that but never complained either#but then recently it turned out she never set up the water bill when we moved in (it's one of the only bills i didn't sort for us)#so we have a huge backdated bill from dec 2021 and i knew she was going to tell me to pay half#so for the past month or so I've been preparing myself for this conversation and sure enough today she came and said 'we owe £700'#so i was like 'oh i thought maybe it would've been covered by my £300/month' which is the biggest stand I've been able to work myself up to#and she immediately started going on about how i live here too and use water too so it's just as much my responsibility to pay#and how when we're both earning i should be paying my share and i was like yeah i know that's why i never complained about paying before#but also i already pay more than most people would to live with their parents#and she went off about how actually most people charge their grown up kids rent on top of the bills so really i'm lucky i don't have to#(when she got the original £300 figure it was actually rounded up from like £240 to include 'rent' but i wasn't gonna bring that up now)#and in conclusion she doesn't see why she should be subsidising my bills#like i don't know maybe because you're my MOTHER and i am your CHILD who is just starting out in the adult world#and maybe that entitles me to being treated better than some lodger???!!!!!#anyway i paid the bill and now i'm trying and failing at not crying at my desk 😃#talking

#mari speaks#the whole concept of elves living longer and seeing their non-elf companions die of old age in front of them is SOOOOOOO#in our spelljammer game we actually have house rules that elves do not live to be 700#in fact the max elf life now is about 300-350#even then..... 50 years for my character felt like maybe a simple 2-3 years and she was grieving the whole time#50 years for frieren is about the same and she comes back to the city and sees her human companions old?????#bro i would break if that were me#i only watched 2 episodes so far and will watch more but i think she's starting to understand living presently for sure#and it just makes me so happy to see AAAAAA

fascinated that ForceBook had pretty nice chemistry in episode 1 but by now I really don't feel TopMew - not only because they are the two characters I understand the least - but ForceBook actively try not to have chemistry
very solid acting in my opinion but leaves me watching the trainwreck of SandRay through my fingers as my heart hurts, giddy about BostonNick as the heat starts to burn them, while feeling like I am poking some curious looking sludge with a stick to see if something happens when TopMew are on the screen

Week 32/52: August 7th - August 13th 2023 | Back to Work 🏗️
Back to work which means I don't have a life again (just kidding... not really). I have barely been going outside for non-work non-errand related reasons since I got back home from LA. Also had to go see the dentist for emergency cavity filling this weekend so had to drop $400 just like that which made me T____T because I have no dental insurance (but when did I ever?). Tragic, really.

I get that, but as a person who has repeatedly failed high school English classes because my literary comprehension is about 15 years behind everyone else's, I am very aware of my limitations and I can tell I missed a fucking lot about The Fucked Up Ness of This House (And That Johnny Bloke Besides)

I watched a YouTube video recently where the people were trying to guess what the movie/s were by just a quote. I knew from the title card that Cars was going to be one of them. As soon as I saw the quote I knew exactly what the moment was.
It was a Mater quote talking about Red.
"Ah don't you worry about him. He's just shy and hates you for killing his flowers."
It might not have been that exact wording on the first part, but close enough.
They did give two more quotes after that to try and help. The next two were Lightning McQueen one's.
The second one was literally the opening lines of the movies.
"42 loser, 1 winner. I eat losers for breakfast."
It might have also included the line about brekkie being good for him, or I might have been filling that in myself.
The third and final quote gave it away for everyone in the video, as it was Lightning's catch phrase.
Basically my take away was that I know that movie all too well and that I doubt that there's a single line in that movie that would have thrown me off.
Now if it was a line from Cars 2, I would be less confident as I haven't watched it nearly as much as the first movie and probably even less than the third movie. Which I would be more confident about than the second movie.
