You know what? Snake Danny. But not just any snake! Space naga. The world serpent, but literal- a moving galaxy, comets caught in the wakes of his movement, stars nestled between his scales. He’s like a giant cosmic LBM, wandering throughout time and space while he learns how to be an Ancient. 

He’s having fun! Learning so much and it’s a great way to chill for the weekends… er, or whenever he is seeing as sometimes Clockwork sends him off to not break a timeline or something. Who knows or cares, he was in space! 

Sometimes Tucker and Sam joined too, and honestly it’s all so much fun- especially now that they can make their own portals! C’mon he wants to check on this cool dimension he visited a while ago!

It was supposed to be a normal Tuesday. Well, as normal as it got when you were the ghost king of a supernatural hell dimension that casually brushed shoulders with every known reality in the multiverse. Danny Fenton, age 19, high school graduate, part-time fast food cashier, full-time eldritch entity, had long since learned that “normal” was a concept best left to sitcoms and people who didn’t accidentally blow up space-time during puberty.

And yet, even with the sheer absurdity of his afterlife-afterlife job description, Danny had not signed up for this.

Somehow—somehow—when he officially accepted the Crown of Fire and Frost and Bones and Whatever, the Infinite Realms had offered him a dowry. Not money. Not knowledge. Not a magical vacuum to clean the endless ghost slime dripping from the ceiling. No. It gave him the Infinity Stones.

Not knockoff ones. Not replicas. Not the “Earth-199999” post-snap pebbles Thanos crushed into ghost glitter. The original Infinity Stones. And now he wore them.

Not in a gauntlet. Because, quote, “That’s been done, and frankly, gauche,” according to the Reality Stone, which had rewritten itself into a choker necklace that constantly tried to re-style his outfit into something out of a Victoria’s Secret Angel runway. Today, it had settled on a see-through green silk robe with ghost fire embroidery, and Danny had to physically fight it to let him wear jeans. He won. Barely.

The Power Stone, a chunky magenta ring on his left thumb, liked to hum. Not dramatically or ominously, no. It hummed “Barbie Girl” during tense conversations. It buzzed like a vibrator when Danny was trying to intimidate enemy ghosts. It yodeled during peace treaties. Vlad Masters once tried to monologue at him and the stone responded with a chorus of flatulent noises at full volume. Danny hadn’t stopped laughing for ten minutes. Vlad has refused to visit the castle since.

The Time Stone dangled from a chain bracelet on his right wrist. Sometimes it glowed. Sometimes it whispered. Sometimes it sounded exactly like Clockwork and said stuff like, “Oh, I wouldn’t eat that sandwich, Daniel. You’ll get food poisoning in three hours and twenty-two minutes. It won’t kill you, but the diarrhea will haunt you.” It also had a deeply annoying habit of flashing forward into the future and spoiling every plot twist in the books he was reading. Danny tried to switch to manga, but the damn thing kept spoiling those too.

The Space Stone was an earring. A single, glowing, cerulean stud in his left lobe. It gave him migraines. Not just regular migraines. Cosmic, black-hole-level migraines that bent reality around him. Once, while sneezing mid-headache, he created a baby star in his bedroom. Another time, it opened a portal in the ceiling of his shower mid-rinse and sucked him naked into a Skrull pirate ship orbiting Saturn. He beat them with a loofah and threatened to scrub their insides out unless they sent him back. They now call him “Emperor Cleans-the-Flesh.”

Then there was the Soul Stone. It had attitude. It was a sulky little thing, disguised as a glowing orange knuckle ring he wore on his middle finger, which felt very appropriate. It didn’t talk much, but when it did, it sounded like a sad Tumblr user from 2013. Constantly making vague threats like, “What if I just… killed everyone you loved… just to feel something.” Danny once told it to go touch grass and it responded by manifesting a field of sentient grass that sang MCR lyrics at full blast. Sam loved it. Tucker was traumatized. Jazz refuses to discuss it.

And the Mind Stone.

God.

The Mind Stone.

A dainty gold earring that hung from his right ear and gave the impression of class. It had developed a voice that was part Morgan Freeman, part drunk Hannibal Lecter, and it spoke in Jazz’s cadence. So, essentially: it psychoanalyzed Danny nonstop with the world-weary patience of an overachieving older sibling with access to the DSM-5 and a deep, personal vendetta.

“Ah, yes. Classic deflection, Daniel. You’re not mad at the Time Stone for spoiling your anime. You’re mad at yourself for never learning to regulate your own expectations. Also, you are projecting unresolved paternal trauma onto that sandwich. Seek therapy.”

“I can’t seek therapy, I’m the Ghost King!”

“That’s exactly what someone with a savior complex and intimacy issues would say.”

Every time he thought it was quiet, it whispered new insults into his subconscious. Once, in the middle of a UN meeting about ghost-human diplomacy, it started narrating his intrusive thoughts. Danny had to teleport out before he screamed about his fear of turning into his dad mid-poop.

Now, normally? He could live with it. Ish. He’d learned to tune them out, like roommates you couldn’t evict because they were the literal embodiment of creation. But then SHIELD, or what was left of it, showed up.

Apparently, the multiverse was cracking. Again. Something-something-Kang, something-something-fracture points. Wong came in first, looked at Danny floating sideways in a gravity-less realm throne room while eating hot Cheetos, and just sighed like a man who knew he was underpaid.

“You’re the new anchor of the multiverse.”

Danny blinked. “I’m the what?”

“The stones chose you. Probably because you’re already tethered to the Infinite Realms. You’re their new keeper. Like… janitor of reality.”

“I didn’t ask to be the multiverse’s janitor.”

“Too bad. Put on pants. You’re meeting the Avengers.”

Spoiler: he did not put on pants. Reality Stone put him in tight leather shorts. Tony Stark showed up mid-briefing, took one look at Danny, and said, “Are we summoning ghosts or attending Coachella?”

“I am literally containing the building blocks of existence inside my earlobes, old man.”

Tony raised a brow. “Sassy.”

Steve Rogers had a panic attack. Bruce Banner tried to talk quantum containment strategy, but the Mind Stone insulted his PhD and called him “Emotionally repressed Dr. Jekyll.” Wanda Maximoff muttered something in Sokovian about chaos recognizing chaos. Peter Parker asked for a selfie. Thor offered to arm wrestle. The Space Stone teleported his arm off mid-match. Thor thought it was hilarious.

Then came Loki.

“Oh,” the trickster said, slinking into the realm uninvited. “You’re the one they gave the toys to.”

Danny narrowed his eyes. “Do not call them toys.”

The Soul Stone hissed. The Mind Stone said, “He has severe middle child energy. Classic narcissist. Avoid eye contact.”

Loki smiled wider. “I like you.”

“I hate you already.”

And then Deadpool showed up.

No one invited him. No one wanted him. He just… wandered in through a swirling green portal, wearing bunny slippers, sipping a Ghost Zone smoothie, and immediately licked the Time Stone.

“MMM. Tastes like trauma and Chrono-Cinnamon. Delicious.”

Danny screamed. Deadpool winked.

The next few weeks were a blur of chaos. Danny accidentally rebooted a dead star, causing an entire Kree fleet to bow to him as their sun god. The Reality Stone made his socks sentient. The Mind Stone helped him file ghostly taxes, then charged him emotional interest. Doctor Strange tried to exorcise the stones. Danny coughed up an entire timeline onto the Sanctum’s carpet. Wong still hasn’t forgiven him.

At one point, the Power Stone got bored and vaporized a celestial. Danny was grounded by the Living Tribunal for three days and had to sit in a corner of conceptual space thinking about what he did.

“Why me?” Danny whined to no one in particular.

“Because,” the Mind Stone whispered gently. “You are chronically self-sacrificing, catastrophically powerful, and an absolute sucker for lost causes. Also, you taste like ectoplasm and cinnamon toast. Reality finds that comforting.”

Danny covered his face with his hands. “I’m going to scream.”

“Do it,” the Soul Stone said. “Scream into the void. Feed me.”

“I hate you.”

“We love you, Daniel,” Time Stone whispered ominously.

“No you don’t!”

But they kind of did. In their own horrible, unholy, unhinged way.

And Danny? Danny was starting to get used to it.

He wore godhood like a teenager wears a secondhand hoodie—awkwardly, chaotically, and with a deep sense of “please don’t ask me to take responsibility for this.” But deep down, across realms and dimensions and timelines, Danny Phantom was no longer just a boy with ghost powers. He was the Keeper of Infinity, the King of the In-Between, and possibly the most dangerously unqualified celestial babysitter the multiverse had ever known.

God help them all.

Becoming (a) Man’s Best Friend

Part 1 O Part 2

To be Living Again

Many things have changed since Danny was a kid.

He told his parents about being Phantom, and… they didn’t take it well. But it was okay! At least the only thing they did was tell him that he couldn’t stay with them, so he just moved in with Sam and Tucker.

Then there was the whole “Young Daniel, you are now the Ghost King!” speech that Clockwork had gone on and on about. Training for that job –one he never really wanted– was tiring, but he had gotten the hang of it over the last six or so years.

He also learned that, since accepting and becoming king, he’s gained a broader power set. He can now mold and stretch the ectoplasm around him and within himself, essentially allowing him to shapeshift. (Which is so cool!)

His core has also shifted a bit, as well as his obsession, which now includes space– in both the literal and physical sense. Frostbite explained it as his presence taking up all the space around him, either absorbing everything within it or influencing it. But he’s still having a hard time really understanding what that all means.

He thinks he understood more of what Frost was talking about when his universe ended. The GIW had gone overboard, and in a desperate attempt to save the Infinite Realms, Danny –being king– ended his universe. The feel of the space in… well, space, was an odd sensation; almost hollow. It wasn’t as bad when he found out that all of Amity Park had been turned into ghosts, though, seeing as nearly all of them were liminal or more from the ecto exposure.

Having Sam, Tucker, and Jazz with him was a huge weight off his shoulders –one he didn’t even know he had. They were his everything– his family and support system. And sure, he had Ellie and Dante (the whole Danny, Dani, and future Danny thing was a lot), but Jazz and his friends had always been there with him. Fitting, really, that they were with him from the beginning to the end.

Though now… he was just annoyed with them.

“Danny, you need a break! You’ve turned into a workaholic!” Sam stressed.

“You’re just lucky you can’t work yourself to death, dude, seeing as you’re, well… dead.” Tucker grinned at his own pun, which Danny would always appreciate, but he still held a serious tone.

“So,” Sam took a deep breath. “Me, Tuck, and Jazz talked with Frost and CW, and we decided it’s time to intervene.” She looked pointedly at Danny’s turned face. (No, he wasn’t pouting, thank you.)

“You need a break, Danny. This isn’t good for your physical health or your mental health,” Jazz soothed, like always. “We’ve decided to give you a vacation.”

Danny snapped his head toward her, mouth open, protest rising in his throat. But Jazz just held up her hand.

“Before you say anything– yes, we can take care of things here. Danny, the realms ran for years before you came along. They can run just fine for a couple of months while you’re away.” She sat silently, waiting for him to get his bearings before answering.

With a sigh, Danny begrudgingly admitted that, okay, maybe he had been working a bit too much. And now that he was focusing on that fun little fact, he could almost feel the way his core ached, his ectoplasm screaming– like a wound that kept getting reopened.

Danny flinched a bit.

“Okay, yeah.” He leaned back into his chair, running a hand down his face. “Maybe I do need a break.”

He felt better seeing their faces lighten, a bit of the stress they had for him lessening. That much, he could see. And it made him feel a little bad, realizing he’d gotten so consumed with work that he hadn’t noticed he’d –accidentally, mind you– hurt his family.

But it’s okay. He can do this.

Just take a break. Not worry at all about his friends, family… the whole of the realms… or the new planets that were close to aligning.

He took a deep breath in and pulled at his hair a bit. Not the best move. If the look Jazz was sending him was anything to go by, she knew it too. But it helped ground him.

Kept him in this space.

“So, where were you guys thinking?” He glanced between all three of them, each of their smiles slowly growing.

“Clockwork is sending you to the living realm again– through the reincarnation cycle,” Sam said softly. She had probably also picked up on his little slip. Nothing ever seemed to get past her. She was almost as scary as Jazz when anyone she loved was distressed.

He frowned, now registering what she’d said. Jazz, having seemingly never taken her eyes off him, corrected that immediately.

“Danny,” she paused, biting her lip a bit. Slowly, she came closer and laid a hand on his shoulder. “You can’t not go back to the living realm. You know this. It’s what helps keep you healthy. What with you being half-alive still.” She took a breath, facing him fully now. “Frost explained it. Your human half is in hibernation right now –stagnant– while simultaneously slowing your ghost half down.”

She had now put both hands on his shoulders, bending down to look him in the eye.

“You are both alive and dead. You need to take care of both, or both will start to die, Danny. And you can’t die on me now, okay?”

She was growing a little misty-eyed. Danny did his best not to tear up as well.

“Okay.” He sucked in a sharp breath. “Okay, I’ll think it over and get back to you guys, alright?” He looked at Jazz, then glanced over at Sam and Tuck.

They all smiled.

“That’s all we can ask of you, dude.” Tucker punched his shoulder.

They stayed and talked a little more about life– after life. Danny found out that, in his work-obsessed state, Sam had been working with Undergrowth, exploring all the abandoned islands and turning them into lush forests and parks. Tucker had moved to Technus’s lair, supposedly working on a secret project. And Jazz, to the shock of no one, had moved to the Far Frozen, helping ghosts either move on or, if not, settle with the knowledge that they could be happy and content in this life.

That night, after saying goodnight to his friends and family, Danny lay in bed, staring at the ceiling, thinking about what it would be like to go back.

Would he have a mom and dad again? Siblings?

What if they found out about him being half-dead and hated him?

Or, worse– what if they accepted him? Loved him regardless?

That’s what scared him the most, he thought. He knew how to deal with unloving or neglectful parents, but… loving ones? Jazz loved him, he knew that. But their situation was different. She was practically his parent, spending most of her life protecting and caring for him. He felt like being accepted was forced or maybe just instinctual for her at that point. (She tells him all the time that’s not true, but he can’t help it.)

But real, unconditional love and acceptance?

He honestly didn’t think he could handle that.

Something nudged his head.

He uncurled to see what it was. (When did he curl into a ball?)

Cujo wagged his tail happily at having Danny’s attention and licked his face.

It was a shock. Danny couldn’t help the wet laugh that escaped him. He hadn’t even realized he’d been crying. Having emotions was a real bitch sometimes. Not that Cujo minded—he just squirmed his way under the comforter to snuggle with him.

This… Danny thought. This is what I want to do. It's not far from protection; comfort practically falls under the same category. He can be someone's best friend like Cujo is to him. He can help someone through a panic attack or protect them from a bad guy. It’d be weird at first –what with being, well, a dog– but he has time to get used to it.

Sleeping that night was peaceful, his mind free of thoughts and worries. With Cujo cuddled beside him and the thought that he could help both his other half and one of his obsessions, he finally felt at ease.

Tomorrow, he’d talk to Clockwork.

DP+HEADCANONS

I was browsing through some posts when I found this picrew and thought "Hey, I really like Vall's DC headcanons (or at least Batfamily's), so why don't I make a Danny Phantom headcanons post to match?"

So here we are.

To begin with, let's establish the Everlasting Trio because there's no way, very iconic and wonderful together, and a pinch of Ghost King/Prince Danny.

With this, I like to think that, cuz they're always so close to Danny, before and after the right to the throne, Sam and Tucker, being exposed to the strooong ectoplasm he emits, would become even more liminal than the others Amity Parkers, this with the help of Tucker being the reincarnation of Duulaman and Sam being the heir to Undergrowth (I feel disgusted every time I remember what he did to her in the episode, cuz, personal trauma, so I refuse to accept this canon and that's why in my head he was actually pampering her the whole time to be able to convince her to be his daughter).

Because of this liminality and Danny's strong ectoplasm, they would develop powers and/or the powers they kind of already have of their own would become stronger.

I like to think that with this their appearance would change a little, Danny by the power of Ghost King/Prince and Sam and Tucker by liminality, just some subtle changes but they are noticeable, like for example, pointy ears! (I love the "Danny the elf" thing and yes, I'm going to drag Sam and Tucker into this, nothing will stop me! Except Vall definitely maybe- BUT- but, he likes it too so it's okay).

So, like, I don't think it will change much whether the DP and DC universes are the same or not in your view, but they could be considered metas or aliens or magical creatures(?) to someone outside, it depends a lot on their aura I think.

And you know, as much as I may love the concept of Jack and Maddie "giving up" on their obsession for their son, their beloved child and becoming/triyng to be better parents, I'm kind of corrupted already, you know?

The bad reveal is a classic in this fandom already and sometimes I even find myself like " 🤡🤨😒" when I go to read a fic and it has the tag "Good Reveal" or "Good Parents Jack and Maddie Fenton" which is honestly kinda VERY CONCERNING if you think about it-

But anyway, if there is revelation, it's bad, very bad, vivissection and all.

Also as much as I like a redeemed Vlad, I also like to see him have all the shit he put Danny through come back to him. You know, IT IS CALLED KARMA, YOU BITCH!

Ahem ahem, pardon :)

But for Dan case, oh my boy, I want him to have redemption, I want him to cling to this little drop of a person that is Dani and to do therapy with Jazz. Besides the sparrings with Danny, obviously.

Coming back now, where am I going with this? Bad Revelation, Revenge on Vlad and Dan redeemed? Of course it's the crossover part!

Anyway, then, a mentally exhausted Danny from school fights Vlad, but thanks to the new strength that comes with the right to the ghost throne and Sam and Tucker's new powers (Which I think everyone agrees that for Sam it's like Poison Ivy-style power but to a greater degree not only affecting plants but animals as well, and for Tucker being powers based on those Pharaoh and mummies stuff and such and the classic technokinesis!) he FINALLY manages to trap Vlad in the Thermos, Tucker quickly seals this blessed Thermo in the base of welding and then Danny throws it in Walker's prison.

And then, now tired mentally and physically, he goes home, but oops! he didn't pay attention because of tiredness and got caught in the middle of transformation! And then the basic chase before he is captured and imprisoned in the lab.

But gosh, just his torture (which lasts a long time because Jazz is out busy with... eh, I don't know, and Sam and Tucker are worried and looking, but they are a little far away) wasn't enough, they caught Dani, and he started to despair, because there's no way he's going to let dad and mom Jack and Maddie touch his daughter little sister, but he can't move, can't do anything, and then they catch Dan, and Danny still can't do anything to help them, trying to draw attention to himself doesn't work (Hehe classic angst my dears).

Dani and Dan are so badly hurt by the Fenton doctors that they retreat into the cores, but since the cores are practically indestructible, and the Fentons have never even come close to studying one, their weapons don't work and don't hurt them. So the attendant is back with Danny.

But then Jazz, Tucker and Sam break into the lab to rescue the three Dannies, barely getting out while Jazz stays to slow them down. Some time ago, they managed to close the portal that was in the Fentons' basement and prevent it from working again, so Sam and Tucker have to race with the Dannies to Vlad's portal (I don't remember exactly what happened when he became president of Amity Park, but I'm going to say that he moved the portal to the city with him for pure plot convenience) but when they are about to go through, the doctors arrive, and then there is a small conflict until Jazz manages to push the trio into the portal and destroys it, but in an inadequate way, thus also destroying their home dimension (Yey more angst)

Sam and Tucker then go to CW to seek help. He cures Danny, or at least about 60% because he says he needs to cure the rest himself for his own good, and that unfortunately Dani and Dan won't be able to leave their cores anytime soon if they aren't incubated. So, stop! Danny is pregnant and then CW puts them in the DC universe, it can be in Gotham or anywhere else they want, it doesn't matter, the only thing that matters is that now they will live there together.

And that's where that Picrew I mentioned comes in, since I made the appearances of the Everlasting Trio+Twins Dani and Dan+Surprise for an AU like this.

For me, they arrived in Gotham right around the time Bruce was starting to come out as Batman or when Jason was Robin, I can't decide. But anyway, the fact is, they are in a new universe with Danny at his literal 60% carrying two cores with him, so when they discover more about this world a little with their powers, they decide to be discreet, and even with that, they also let themselves be registered as metahumans to avoid problems if they use their powers, but of course in the records the written powers are much simpler and weaker than the real thing.

Anyway, I think they would all work at WE but in different sectors (obviously), or have independent or simple businesses or something like that.

Now let's move on to appearances!

first of all, Daniel James Shade "Danny" Fenton Nightgale

Here as you can see, Danny has a lighter eye because of the incident, if there was an option for a lightning scar in the picrew I would also put it, this lighter eye of his only has about 75% of the vision.

You have to wear a single lens in that eye, he may not wear it, but it is inconvenient most of the time.

His hair is longer, and yes, I gave him the anime dead mom hairstyle, sue me. His hair used to be black, but over time, because of his great power, and the fact that his ghostly side is bleeding into his human form, his hair has turned about 70 to 80% white. Sam and Tucker like it, Sam says it's cool and Tucker says he remembers some anime character but can't remember who (😉)

The necklace and earring are a set he has with Sam and Tucker.

Piercing just because.

Makeup done by Sam, but is learning.

He also renounces his birth middle and surname, changing them as soon as he could. He only doesn't change his name because he got used to it (of course he did) and cause he learned from Jazz that she was the one who suggested his name.

Nightgale is a name that the Trio invented together and use, so as not to get too big with the three two surnames together.

He is called "Mama" by the children. And "D" and "Darling" by Sam and Tucker.

As I said, necklace and earrings are a set.

Piercing just because.

She dyed her hair completely purple, but after a while the liminal side of her powers also bled into her form, so now there's green in it, Danny likes it and says it's pretty, Tucker likes it too, but he also calls her eggplantie cuz of it tho-

And as always, she is gothic, and now, she does makeup for others with the help of [surprise, wait a little longer]

She is called "Mom" by the children. And "Sammy" and "Honey" by Tucker and Danny.

Tucker Rick "Tuk" Nightgale

Braided and colored hair, Sam did the braids and Danny helped pick the color.

I made up the middle name because I couldn't find it anywhere.

Now he wears lenses more regularly than glasses.

Makeup done with Sam's help, he knows how to do it himself but normally when he makes lines like that he can't replicate them, but Sam can.

Dante Ruth "Dan" Nightgale

Because he was incubated by Danny, he was born with white hair.

He has no memories of before, but he vaguely has some deja vus, his personality remains practically 98% the same.

He is quite influenced by Sam, that's why he dyed his hair her colors.

Piercing just because.

He still has a clear eye with 75% vision because it is a mark on his and Danny's core from the incident.

He helps Sam with the makeup with [surprise, wait just a little longer]

Glasses because you don't really like the idea of using a single lens on your eye, so you prefer glasses with two lenses of different degrees, it's more comfortable.

He is called "Dan", "Dandan" and "Dear". And also "Big brother" and "Bro".

Eleanor Dawn "Ellie" Nightgale

No problem with the eye because was born a halfa even though she was a clone cuz she didn't had to die and revive to, so there is no mark on the core.

Born with white hair because she was incubated by Danny.

Like Dan, he has no exact memories of the past, just deja vus, and his personality has remained largely intact.

He is more influenced by Tucker, so he dyed his hair his color.

Piercing just because.

They wears sunglasses almost all the time, even at night, because 1) she likes them, 2) he feels cool, 3) they wanna have something in common with Dante.

When it's "she" she goes by the nickname "Ellie", when it's "he or they" he goes by the nicknames "Dawn" and "Noir", Dawn more commonly, but Noir is when he's with Dan, so as not to confuse the two. But she is also nicknamed "Little sister", "Big sister" and "Sis". And "Muffin".

They was born from Sam, and just biologically speaking, the father is Tucker.

Like, just imagine if Ezra becomes friends with Damian, to the point of knowing about his family's night business, or already knows. And then some typical problem happened with a being from another dimension and when Dami vents to them, Ez is like "Oh my daddy can help you!"

And instead of them bringing a sorcerer or warlock or wizard like everyone thought it would be, Ezra brings the FUCKING DAMN HIGH KING OF THE INFINITE REALMS.

I have so many headcanons for this show omg. Just a bunch that I've picked up from reading fics, and chatting with friends, and thought up while planning out fics and prompts. Most of my headcanons center pretty heavily around Danny, since he is the blorbo™️, but I do have hcs for his friends, family, enemies, and more general ones.

This got very long, so it goes under the cut

Danny-focused hcs:

Danny doesn't need to eat much human food (and has a very reduced appetite) while in Amity Park or other ectoplasm-rich places, since his body naturally absorbs energy from ectoplasm. Though his friends and Jazz will still push him to eat even when he's not hungry, to keep his human body healthy. Whenever Danny's in places with less ectoplasm, his appetite returns with a vengeance.

Danny has an ice core and overheats easily in the summer, but in contrast handles winter months with ease. [Sometimes I like to do a reverse of this hc, where the ice core is helpful to him in the summer, but becomes detrimental to his human-side when it gets cold.]

Following the accident, lightning and other sources of raw electricity give Danny anxiety. I like to imagine that during storms he feels the static prickle on his skin.

Danny purrs when happy or content like a cat. In general, I like to imagine cores making all sorts of vibrations, hums, chirps, and other sounds.

Danny has no heartbeat in Phantom form, and doesn't need to breathe (but does so anyway out of habit). In contrast, his heartbeat and breaths per minute (as well as his core body temperature) are much lower than a standard human's.

Danny is trans and came out at a young age. Following the accident, the shock of the portal messed with his glands/hormones and he hasn't had a period since. He also hasn't grown since, with his height being stunted at around 5 foot. (In general, I like to HC that Danny takes after Maddie more in height, with Jazz getting all the tall genes from Jack.)

I like to imagine that Danny loses interest in becoming an astronaut after the accident. Existential dread + gaining the ability to explore a vast realm with many more interesting things in it will do that to a bastard.

I like to do Ghost King stuff with Danny sometimes, but I honestly prefer the idea that he just like has a claim to the throne, but in the same way that a king's 57 bastard children all would have a claim to his throne. (But the king isn't really gone anyway, so anyone with that claim is just sitting on a useless prince title while Pariah slumbers.)

I love the idea of ghost obsessions, and Danny specifically having one that is either focused around protection or helping. If the obsession is in regards to protection, I like to imagine it stems less from him thinking Sam and Tucker were in harms way when the portal went off, and more from him wishing someone would protect him/that he could protect himself.

I like to imagine that Danny (and all ghosts) won't outright fade if they fail to perform their obsession, however. I just imagine that it makes them extremely unhappy, anxious, and sickly. Danny, due to only being half-dead, has some more resilience with this too, I imagine.

I love giving Danny lasting scars, especially lichtenberg figures from the portal. I think it's particularly fun to have the scars wrap up his arm and across neck and/or face.

In addition to his scars, Danny experiences chronic pain and nerve issues in his arm associated with the accident.

I love the hc that Danny's wail is the same sort of scream he let out when he died in the portal.

In terms of orientation, I hc Danny as being asexual and then either biromantic or homoromantic, depending on what I'm feeling for the story. I both love the idea of him being biromantic, or him thinking for a long time that he had to like girls as a trans boy, before later accepting that he was gay. (I also love everlasting trio as a ship, so polyromantic is on the table too.)

Sam-focused hcs:

Sam gets a much better grip on her activism in late high school, after getting humbled a bit. This includes shifting her focus to supporting more sustainable forms of farming, rather than outright decrying the slaughter of animals. (I imagine she herself becomes a vegetarian after this, rather than a vegan.)

Sam was already on the fence about eating meat prior to the portal, but gave it up for good (and briefly became very belligerent about it), because she couldn't get the smell of the portal accident out of her nose. Cooked meat makes her feel sick for a very long time, especially pork.

I love hcs that Sam either dyes her hair and/or wears colored contacts.

Sam becomes rather liminal from being around Danny and the Zone, and retains some plant-based powers from Undergrowth. Overtime, Sam will start to develop a proto-core and have her senses altered by it.

Linked with the previous hc, I like to hc Sam as being prone to sensory overload, and this being exacerbated by an increase in her hearing following the portal.

As an adult, Sam funnels her passion for activism into journalism.

Tucker-focused hcs:

Tucker is hard-of-hearing and requires the use of hearing aids. Being reliant on technology from a young age helped kickstart his interest in it. Also, because of Tucker's disability, both Danny, Sam, Jazz, and eventually Val learn sign language to converse more easily with him.

Following the portal, Tucker is forced to modify his tech (and in particular his hearing aids) to interact more neutrally with ectoplasm.

I like to imagine that Tucker is very forceful with hitting on girls as, similar to Danny, he is fighting against some internalized homophobia. In terms of orientation, I imagine he is pansexual, with a preference for masculine individuals.

Like Sam, Tucker becomes rather liminal following the portal accident, and may develop tech-based powers. While Sam's ears are much more affected by liminality, Tucker instead experiences a dramatic shift in his vision.

Tucker might be an only child, but he comes from a very large, very supportive family that's all over various parts of the US.

Tucker has some food sensitivities, especially in regards to texture. He's definitely somewhere on the autism spectrum, alongside Danny and Jazz.

Tucker was the one to initiate friendship with both Danny and Sam. He met Danny when they were in preschool and insisted on being friends, and dragged Sam into their small group later on after meeting her in elementary-middle school when her family moved to Amity.

Tucker's eyes are brown or a dark hazel, rather than the teal they're depicted as in the show.

Val-focused hcs:

After getting ousted from her previous friend group, Valerie feels more comfortable with exploring some hobbies she previously didn't feel comfortable with around Paulina and Star. This includes video games, card collecting, and skateboarding.

Val's mother passed away when she was a very young child, and she has little to no memories of her.

Val's eyes are brown, rather than the green they're depicted as in the show.

Val becomes very liminal due to her suit-- much more liminal than both Tucker and Sam. By the time she's an adult, Val has a proto-core at the very least, and a sizeable grasp on controlling tech.

Valerie is bisexual, with a large preference for women that she doesn't explore until being ousted from her old friend group.

It isn't until college, when they've learned more about themselves and their internalized biases, that Val starts to reconnect with her old friends.

Jazz-focused hcs:

Jazz is much taller than Danny, and reaches over 6 foot tall by the time she stops growing.

Jazz is bisexual, and has known she is for a long time after helping Danny come out as trans and doing some of her own personal research.

I like to imagine that Jazz either becomes a child therapist or teacher after watching her little brother and his friends struggle in their formative years. Though I also really like the hc that Jazz, rather than Danny, becomes very interested in the technical and tinkering aspects of their parents' work.

I imagine around the end of HS that Jazz realizes she really shouldn't be psychoanalyzing and giving therapy to family and friends.

Jazz's driving is just as terrifying as Jack's, and her car is a beat-up old mess covered in dings and scratches.

Jazz likes to cook, but creates the biggest messes while doing so. In general, organized chaos is her MO.

Like Danny's friends, Jazz is rather liminal. She's less liminal than Val, though more so than Sam and Tuck, due to living directly over the portal. I imagine this comes with a heightened sense of emotion, as well as hearing.

I like to imagine that Jazz is just as, if not more nervous than Danny about him revealing his secret to their parents. To her, it feels similar to the danger of a trans kid coming out of the closet in a transphobic household, and while she'd like to believe their parents would accept Danny as a halfa, she's not willing to chance the risk while he's still dependent on them and they have not changed their tune on ghosts.

Jazz is so focused on helping Danny survive his teens that it isn't until she's like 25-30 that she really starts to unpack her own trauma.

General Amity and ghost hcs:

Amity Park is a bit colder than the surrounding region, due to the heavy presence of ghosts.

The ghosts have also altered the native wildlife. Many native species of animals have fled, or otherwise adjusted their behavior to account for ghostly neighbors. It's not uncommon to see ghostly ducks swimming alongside living ones, or feral groups of cats with some being more transparent than the rest.

Because of the Box Ghost, many residents in Amity Park start to get into the habit of unboxing their groceries as soon as possible. There's more than one spot where boxes can be left in a pile, and it's rare that they remain there for more than a day.

In general, I like to imagine that Amity really embraces the ghostliness, with some shops even taking it up as a theme. It's not uncommon to see Halloween decorations all year round, including ghosts with little Santa hats come Christmas.

Because of all of the ectoplasm in the air, technology has a habit of acting very strangely in Amity Park. Most advanced tech needs to be altered to work correctly within city limits.

Blob ghosts are very endearing, and more than one Amity Parker has one as a pet.

Okay, this got Very long so I'm gonna stop it here cause I could just Keep Going. Especially where stuff like the Far Frozen or crossovers are concerned, but those are for another time lol.

Reincarnation is a tricky thing

A/N: This was sort of inspired by this post from @nerdpoe and the rebblogs of it. I came across it again scrolling through tumblr and reread it during my break and couldn't help but continue thinking about DC characters being a different version or a reincarnation of people Danny knew. Blame the too many reincarnation or isekai light novels / manwhas / mangas I read if you want.

At first Danny didn't mind it. Becoming the Ghost King had its pros but its cons as he learned later on. By accepting the title he had become an interdimensional being, and thus had gotten kicked out of the reincarnation cycle. Clockwork nor Pandora thought about telling him that sooner. But in a way Danny still didn't mind it.

He still got to watch and protect his friends and family or at least their souls and reincarnations. Though there were some things with the recent one he definitely did not expect. For one, Dan wasn't part of the reincarnation cycle either, so to pass the years he took up the same position Fright Knight had. Danny suspected that it was more to spent time with his ghostly best friend than actually doing Danny a favor.

Dani on the other hand had become a part of the reincarnation cycle, he hadn't liked how her childhood had been but once the reincarnation of his father took her in things started to turn better for his once upon a time clone sister.

He laughed at the fact that his mother in this life had become a thief, well at least she wasn't ghost obsessed but he wasn't sure if cats were a better one considering a lot of the things she stole were cat themed. But at least she still had a thing for his dad.

The man was still a lovable oaf but different, more stoic and short worded but when he put on acts for the public Danny could see hints of his previous life shining through. His dad was still a genius and inventing things that added him and his goals in protecting the city. Just like he did previously, just a little less extreme and upfront.

Jazz wasn't his dads and mothers direct daughter this time around but she still got counted as a daughter in a way as he watched her becoming a crime fighter alongside his father and the kids his dad picked up before an incident made her take up more of a operator like position. And ancients did Danny cackle watching Jazz still pulling one over everyone every time she gathered information on their family.

He was sad to see how Sam's life went but at the same time he was proud of her. Undergrowth's influence had swapped over into this life for her and he watched how as a criminal at first she continued to fight for what she believed was right. He was definitely happy when he saw her fall in love and turn a new leaf.

Tucker was not as electronic affine as he was before but he had what the humans started to call Meta Powers now. It was funny, whenever Danny compared his usually brain behind the scenes best friend with the vigilante that got mentored by his father.

All in all he was definitely happy with the life's his family has gotten this turn. Even if the start of some of their lives wasn't as ideal as it was supposed to be. He still hadn't figured out where Vlad's reincarnation was and to the ancients he hoped he wasn't the crazy clown obsessed with his dad. That would be just wrong.

Still as he watched them he couldn't help but muse at the knowledge that he originally was supposed to be among them. He also knew who he was supposed to be, thanks to clockwork but that boy had gotten a brand new soul, one that hadn't been in the cycle before. He wasn't mad at that but just a tiny bit sad. He would have loved to become a vigilante alongside his father too, even if this version of him was socially awkward and instead of space had a fascination with animals and art.

He still would have loved to live among them but he had gotten kicked out of the reincarnation cycle so all he could do was watch over them. It still made him feel giddy whenever he found another soul of the ones he had known before.

That was until the cultist decided to use would-be-him as a sacrifice to summon the interdimensional being that was atactual-him and he ended up face to face with some stupid soul magic mumbo jumbo tied to the kid.

Clockwork was laughing at him, he just knew this was pure entertainment for the ancient of time. Pandora was most likely shaking her head and Dan was probably literally rolling on the ground of his throne room laughing.

"You are supposed to be me, aren't you?" The boy had whispered wide eyed and Danny huffed in annoyance as he saw a familiar fear flit across the boy's eyes. A fear he had seen with Dan as well as Dani so long ago before.

"Don't talk bullshit kid. I am an Ancient being. This is your life." He was just now stuck having Danny tied to him like a guardian angel while being the only one able to see him clearly. How was he going to explain to the kid that he was entirely his own soul and not tied to Danny at all aside from taking his place in the reincarnation cycle without mentioning that nearly half the people in the kids life where his family and friends previously?

Danny was starting to have a crisis stuck to his would-be-him in the mortal realm and all he could think was to yell at Dan and Clockwork to stop laughing!

CHAPTER ELEVEN

Chapter 11:The Red Huntress

After what felt like one of Mr Lancers longest lectures ever Dan and Tucker retreated to the cafeteria where they were eventually joined by Sam.

Sam:”Hey guys!”

But only Tucker acknowledged her presence,Dan as always was passed out face first on the table, much to Sam's surprise.

Sam:”What's up with him?”

She shakes him awake,Startling the young ghost..

Dan:”Ahh I'm up!!!!”

Sam:”What's up with you Danny, you look like you've been up all night.”

Tucker slides Danny a thermos filled with coffee which Danny happily accepts and begins drinking from.

Tucker:”That's because he was.”

Sam:”Wait? Really!?”

Dan nods in response.

Sam:”what have you been doing?”

Dan stammers around for a bit before landing on what he assumes would be a satisfying answer 

Dan:”uhh..studying..yeah I was studying.”

Sam raises a questioning eyebrow clearly not believing the very obvious lie but she does not respond  instead she turns her attention over to Tucker.

Sam:”Hey Tuck,could you give me and Danny a minute alone please?”

Tucker nods in response and gets up to leave mouthing the word “Busted” to Dan as he walks away 

As soon as Tucker leaves Sam takes a seat across from Danny and leans in.

Sam:”Spill it,what's going on with you?”

Dan:”uh..what do you mean?”

Sam:”Comeon Danny I'm not an idiot,I've been aware that you've been hiding something from me since the moment we met!”

Dan choked back on his coffee and began to cough.

Dan:”you have?”

Sam flicks his forehead.

Dan:”ow!”

Sam:”Of course I have!You're not exactly the king of subtlety you know plus we hang out almost everyday I'd have to be an idiot to not notice!”

Dan:”But…You never asked..”

Sam flicks his forehead again.

Dan:”ow”

Sam:”Of course I never asked,you're entitled to your privacy.”

She lets out a small sigh.

Sam:”I always figured You'd tell me when you're ready, and if you're still not ready to tell me whatever it is I won't pry”

Dan gives her a warm smile in response.

Dan:”thanks”

Sam:”But…this whatever it is,is clearly taking a toll on you, you have to take better care of yourself!”

Dan:”I AM taking care of myself !”

Sam glanced down at the giant flask of coffee clasped between his hands then back at him

Sam:”forgive me if I'm not convinced…”

Dan looked at the stern expression on her face and realized that she was not messing around.

 He knew he could not get out of this conversation without telling her what she wanted to hear.

Dan:”ok..I promise I'll try..”

Feeling satisfied that she finally got through to him, her expression softened.

Sam:”dope.”

Having accomplished her goal she gestures For Tucker to come back.

Tucker:”what was that all about?”

She gives him a knowing grin.

Sam:”Hey,you got your secrets with Danny and I've got mine.”

She winks at them causing the trio to collectively burst into laughter; they continue chatting for a while longer before Sam excuses herself.

Sam:”Anyways I gotta head out.”

Tucker:”Where To?”

Sam:”this guy named Kwan invited me to a movie,I figured sure why not?”

Tucker:”you got a date? “

Dan briefly looks up from his coffee awaiting Sam's response. 

She simply shrugs 

Sam:”I guess.”

The nonchalance in her voice told The duo all they needed to know.

Tucker:”Well, have fun!”

Sam:”I always do!.”

She waves them goodbye before leaving.

Tucker:”So Sam's dating..”

Dan shrugs while taking another sip of his coffee.

Dan:”I guess so.”

Tucker:”I've met Kwan before, he's a good looking dude..he's also an athlete.”

Dan:”dope.”

Tucker:"And you're ok with Sam dating this dude?”

Dan:”why wouldn't I be?”

Tucker's face palms much to Dan's amusement.

Tucker:”Whatever man,you wanna be dumb then be dumb.”

Their conversation came to a halt by Valerie's sudden emergence.

Valerie:”Hey,what are you guys talking about?”

Tucker turned his attention over to Danny who had refocused his attention to his drink.

Tucker:”Nothing,Absolutely Nothing.”

Valerie takes a seat next to him.

Tucker:”What's up with you?haven’t seen you around in awhile”

Valerie:”Yeah I got this new internship at Masters Inc so I've been busy?”

Tucker:”MastersInc? you mean Vlad Masters Masters Inc?

Valerie:”the one and only!”

Tucker:”That's dope! You know my dad actually used to work there.”

Valerie:”really? Why'd he stop?”

Tucker shrugged

Tucker:”No idea actually.”

Valerie:”That's interesting.”

Realizing that the conversation was about to lul to  an awkward silence Tucker,quickly changed the subject.

Tucker:’Sooo,Have you met Vlad?”

Valerie nods.

Valerie:”A few times,my dad works under him.”

Tucker:”That's amazing,Danny and I are huge fans of his work!”

Valerie:”Maybe one day I can introduce you to him.”

Tucker:”That would be incredible!!”

Dan quietly Snickers at Tuckers outburst.

Dan:”dork..”

But Tucker willfully ignores Danny's comment.

Tucker:”So what do you do at Masters INC ?ghost hunting?”

Valerie scoffs

Valerie:”What! Pleaseeeee as if they'd let my newbie ass hunt ghosts!?”

Dan raised an eyebrow,completely unfazed by what was clearly an awful attempt at lying on Valerie's part.

Then suddenly, as if in an attempt to alleviate the awkwardness in the situation, Valerie's phone went off..

Valerie:”Oh I gotta go,internship stuff.But hey we should all hang out together sometime! Sam too!’

Tucker:”Yeah we'd like that!”

Without any further words she waves them goodbye and leaves.

Dan:”Is it just me or is she hiding something?”

Tucker:”what!? No way!”

Dan: “comeon Tuck I know you like her but you gotta admit she acted real fishy the moment you brought up ghost hunting.”

Tucker shrugs

Tucker:”So? She doesn’t like ghosts, that's all!”

Dan:”and she agreed to an internship where she can HUNT them..”

Tucker:”I'm sure Valerie doesn't want to hunt ghosts..”

Dan:”Surreeeeeee”

In the middle of his attempt at mocking Tucker, Dan's ghost sense went off and tables,chairs and lunch trays began flying all across the cafeteria sending everyone present into a panic.

Dan:”Ahh business as usual I guess.”

Dan immediately ducked into a nearby closet and emerged from it as Phantom.

Dan:”Show yourself, freak!”

????:”BeWARE!”

Dan lets out an exasperated sigh.

Dan:”Oh no, not this punk agai…”

The box ghost cut him off mid sentence with an ecto blast to his chest, knocking him into a nearby table.Crowds of students ran about frantically at the emergence of not one but 2 ghosts!

Box Ghost:”We got a score to settle ghost punk!”

Dan chuckles before hitting the box ghost with a fierce right hook, knocking him into the cafeteria's kitchen.

Dan:”A score huh! Last I checked it was 1 point Me 0 points you!”

The Box Ghost quickly hops to his feet ,picks up a nearby stove and tosses it directly at him but Dan simply turns invisible and phases through it with ease.Then he fires an energy blast straight through his chest impaling the ghost.

Dan:”That's the best you got ?”

Box Ghost:”Shut upp!!!”

He rapid fires ecto projectiles at Dan but Dan fully prepared for this onslaught grabs a nearby table and using it as a shield he deflects all of the attacks until eventually the table itself is reduced to dust.

Furious at the ghost boys persistence the box ghost lunges himself at Danny in an attempt to turn the fight into a close quarter brawl,Dan narrowly evades all of his punches before responding with a counterattack on his own but it proved unsuccessful as the villainous ghost grabbed his arm mid punch and snapped it as if it were a twig, then grabbing his entire arm he slammed Dans body into the ground.

Dan screamed in pain but the Box ghost wasn't finished yet. He manifests several miniature stone cubes and fires them at Dan with such force that the impact leaves bullet-shaped wounds on Dan's body.Thinking he had finally bested his adversary He stood over Dan's wounded body grinning in victory.

Box Ghost:”You're Done now ghost punk!!”

Dan flashed him a blooded smile.

Dan:”Done? Why,I'm just getting started!”

In the blink of an eye he phased into the ground and Emerged behind the box ghost firing a massive ecto blast at point blank range blasting the ghost into a nearby wall.After expending so much of his energy he collapsed on the floor clutching his broken arm and breathing heavily. 

Dan:”*heh* *heh* now I'm done..”

????:”you got that right ghost!”

Dan:”huh?”

Dan immediately got up and scanned the room for the mysterious voice.

Dan:”Who's there!”

He finally comes face to face with what appeared to be a woman dressed in a high-tech skin-tight red and black jumpsuit and a black mask with a red visor.She rode on a Black and Red hoverboard and was wielding a large rifle.

????:”I'm the Huntress,and you can just picture me as your ticket back to the afterlife!”

CHAPTER TWELVE

Chapter 12:Phantom vs The Huntress.

Dan:”Huntress?”

Dan lets out an amused Scoff,before ripping up one of the Cafeteria curtains and wrapping it around his wounded arm.

Dan:”That should give it time to heal.”

He then refocuses his attention to his new enemy.

Dan:”Listen lady,I don’t know who you are or what your problem is but I'm not the enemy here!!”

He points over to the unconscious Box Ghost.

Dan:”He is!”

In response, The Huntress cocks her ecto rifle and aims it directly at Danny.

Red Huntress:”Makes no difference to me,one evil ghost is just as good as the next!”

She fires the rifle directly at Danny, hitting him head-on,while he is disoriented she zooms towards him on her firing even more blasts.Dan does his best to evade all of the ghost Hunters attacks but he still manages to receive some damage.

Dan:”Dammit, I'm too injured to fight properly,and that damn glider of hers is too fast to outrun,I need a new approach.”

But before he could think of a plan,a grenade landed at his feet.

Dan:”What the Fu….”

The grenade exploded,releasing a red gas that enveloped Dan's body.

Dan dropped to the floor gasping and heaving for air, the red smoke rendering him so disoriented that he is barely able to form a coherent thought.

Dan:”what...the hell ... .is this??”

Red Huntress:”You like that ghost? What you’re inhaling right now is called Blood Blossom,one of the only things in the world proven to weaken ghosts!”

Dan:”Blood Blossom...not good...vi..sion blurring need…. to recover .”

Dan tried to crawl to safety but the Huntress placed her foot on his back before he could get too far.

Red Huntress:”good he's down,and in the knick of time too!I'm starting To feel dizzy.”

Tucker , who was still present during the attack, hid for cover under a nearby table in an attempt to avoid the attack.Just as he secures his hiding place Dan who moments ago was tossed by the mysterious ghost hunter landed near him the ghost boy was now in an even worse condition than before.

Dan:”Tucker….,could really use some help here..”

Tucker:”howw!?”

Dan:”I don’t know! Think of something!”

Tucker:”I could try hacking into her hoverboard  but that thing probably has like a million different encryptions on it.If only it was Masters Inc tech.”

Dan:”What difference does it make?”

Tucker:”my dad used to work on some of those gadgets. The override codes should be the same!”

Dan:”Well please try something,I'm getting his ass handed to me out there!”

As if on cue the huntress fired a grappling hook at Dan and began to reel him back in.

Tucker realizing he has no time to lose pulls out his phone and begins fiddling with it.

He begins typing in all the possible override codes that he knew until at last he successfully hacks into the ghost Hunters suit.

Tucker:”I'm in!But we only have about 2 minutes before she traces the override signal and finds me.”

Using his phone Tucker made the Huntress’s glider go completely haywire, causing her to knock into walls and fly around in circles.Amid all the commotion she loses her grip on Dan dropping him to the floor.

Red Huntress:”What the hell is going on with this stupid board!!”

Dan quickly noticed the erratic movement of her glider and took it as an opportunity to phase through the cafeteria walls and escape.As soon as he noticed that Dan was safely out of the way Tucker  disconnected his link to The Ghost Hunters board and fled the scene leaving her none the wiser.

Red Huntress: “Dammit, Phantom escaped!”

She taps her feet on her now properly functioning glider.

Red Huntress:”at least you're working again…”

She scans the cafeteria and notices the still unconscious Box Ghost.

Red Huntress:”...and looks like I won’t be returning to Mr Masters empty handed after all..”

She loads the unconscious ghost onto her glider and flies off.

From Danny's short experience Jason was about as trusting as he first was when Fright Night joined him. He didn’t think Frighty’s method of accept my eternal loyalty or die would work very well here. The guy, despite looking like a brick wall and a fridge had a child, seemed to have a very gooey center. Now to hope that wasn’t just the contaminated ecto.

Contact was the easiest way to get the bad ecto (Becto?) out and he was NOT one for cuddling. Just mentioning it made the man squirm, well not outwardly, but his core shivered.

Danny didn't see a big deal in it, but maybe it had been the years in the ghost realm, where personal space wasn't really a thing when you can phase through people... his human half was also used to Tucker and Sam, whom he'd shared a bed with so many times Jazz ended up giving him a pamphlet on "healthy polyamory".

Alfred, the name of the butler, had convinced Jason to take him on a tour of the manor. There were about a million rooms, way too many living spaces (no one needed that many seating areas), a whole barn, and a really nice kitchen with food that didn't fight back.

As they walked Danny kept close, either a hand on his shoulder or floating close enough to be up against him.

Although Jason seemed stoic externally Danny could feel each and every emotion he had. He never seemed uncomfortable with Danny, but he was guarded. Some feelings, like nostalgia, became volatile from the corrupted ecto and quickly turned into anger.

One of these times was just seeing Tim, his brother, came out of his room with about 12 empty coffee cups in hand. The feeling, for just a second, started as care that switched to anger quicker than Danny had been expecting. There had been an emotion between the two, but Danny hadn't caught it. The anger seemed more ghostly than the first part, it was shaky and unstable.

With that shift came a surge of ecto that sounded like a screaming child, Danny placed a second hand on him to help filter it out. His eyes flickered green then went back to the light blue with a grayish outline that they had been before.

Tim had stopped in his tracks, frozen in place with his mountain of dirty cups. No one moved. Then, as if nothing happened, Jason continued walking, leading Danny to what he’d come to find was the library.

Danny loved to read as a kid, but he died, had to stop the ghost coming through his parent's portal, save the world, pass high school, become king, and give up a more human life to dedicate to ruling an entire dimension that he never got back into it. Especially once he'd established peace throughout most of the realm: a majority of his work consisted of paper work. Very boring paper work.

"You can grab a book if you want." Jason sat on a comfy looking chair, leaning into it and slouching down. He looked a lot less intimidating like this.

"Nah. I have to read a lot for work, but thanks for the offer." Danny floated above him, one hand anchoring him to the man.

"What do you do for work?" Jason asked, not putting the book down.

"Lot of people sell their soul." Danny watched his own hair flowing in the air like it was underwater, he's not sure when it started doing that, but it looked badass so he wasn't complaining. "It’s depressing paperwork when you have to define the worth of a soul in numbers."

Jason hummed and continued to read. They sat there like that for a while before Jason spoke up again.

"How did you know the pit rage was taking over, when we were in the hall."

"Ghost speak isn't translatable exactly, but your core kinda babbles like a baby." Danny looked down at the man, he'd closed his book. "It cries when it's angry and cries when it's sad, but your human emotions come first and are amplified by your core."

"So, what, you just heard a ghost crying?"

"More like I heard your human emotions through a megaphone and then ghostly crying right after."

Jason picked his book back up, but Danny had a feeling he wasn't actually reading it.

They stayed like that for what felt like hours to Danny. He didn't think it right to ask any questions. Besides, he was being vague about his own answers too.

Through the years he'd gotten the hang of being cryptic enough while still giving an answer from Clocky.

Clockwork!

Danny sat up, accidentally pulling Jason up with him a bit. "I need to get in contact with Clockwork!"

Jason grumbled and fixed his jacket, "Who's that?"

"The ancient of time, he'll know how to get me back and how to fix you... if he answers or wasn't behind this."

Jason did not seem happy about contacting the hellblazer/detective, but he was in town. What luck.

Danny no longer felt very lucky when the blonde detective with a strong English accent started yelling.

"This is the fucker wreaking havoc with the lazarus pits?"

Jason sighed, "Can you help us or not?"

The man breathed out a puff of smoke and mumbled to himself. "Yeah, yeah. I can help." He sat on the nearest chair and looked down at his PDA, or well, Jason said they were phones. This universe seemed a few years past his own. "The infinite realms aren't easy to get a hold of. You need to be pretty powerful to go in between the realms. How did you get stuck here anyway?"

"Was practicing with my dimension hopping dog, I went through a portal, he didn't. Now I'm stuck here." Technically that wasn't a lie, he was with Cujo when he himself had made the portal.

"Dimension hopping dog, right." He took another hit from his cigarette before grunting and standing up. Danny wasn't a fan of this type: arrogant bastards that believe you aren't worth their time. "Only thing I can think of is a summoning."

"Okay sure, how do we do that?" Danny asked floating behind Jason, a hand on his back. John looked at him skeptically, so Danny shot back. "I've never done a summoning that would be ridiculous! That's like standing in the same room with someone and calling them."

"Fine, let’s go down to the cave."

Once in fruit loop 3.0's basement the hellblazer pulled out a book and started drawing out patterns on the floor. Danny recognized a few words, which gave him confidence that the summoning would at least bring someone from the infinite realms.

The wording was very old, but from what he could read it was about summoning the most powerful being in the infinite realms.

Danny assumed it would be Clockwork, and just hoped its wasn’t some manifestation of Pariah Dark.

John finished, then turned to stand at the front as if he'd rather be anywhere else but here, and started to chant. The circle glowed a familiar homely green when he feels a pull in his gut.

"Fuck."

Jason watched as Constantine drew out the circle with strange hieroglyphs. He'd read that book when trying to find ways to remove the pit rage years ago. This summoning was meant for the strongest being in the entire realm. It could be any kind of monstrosity.

His stomach dropped when the sickly green glow filled the room. The shadows danced unnaturally and the room dropped a few degrees.

Behind him Danny made a blip of a noise and disappeared. For a moment he assumed the man was scared, making himself invisible to hide from the creature crawling out from a hell dimension.

Only he didn't feel Danny behind him anymore.

"Welp... didn't expect that. Definitely an ego boost I tell ya." Standing in the center of the circle was Danny. He didn't look anything like the man he'd spent all day with. He was a few feet taller, had pale green skin that shone almost white and six lanky arms with pointed nails. The fangs and slightly pointed ears he already had were pulled longer, his legs were just as unsettling as his arms, it almost looked like he'd been pulled through a black hole. Stretched through time and space.

His hair was longer as well, it floated above him like it wasn't experiencing gravity. Floating above that was a ring of a green aurora borealis. His face was hard to look at directly, it shifted. It was just the outlines, it was all eyes, it was empty, it was a black hole.

Around him shone little starts that twinkled occasionally, Jason had been part of the Justice League when a solar flare nearly killed half the planet. This being had the power of hundreds of those and was moving them around absentmindedly. one hand seemed to burn slightly, but it was too bright for him to focus on it.

He looked ethereal and terrifying.

Constantine broke the silence first, "State who you are!"

In a million voices that echoed through the cave and into Jason's chest Danny spoke.

"I am Phantom, King of the Infinite Realms, Champion of Pariah Dark, Bringer of Peace, Ancient of Space, The Great One." Da... Phantom looked down at the circle. There was amusement in his voice, "I see, the words I didn't recognize were a binding of truth, that means I can only communicate in ghost speak."

Constantine looked more fed up than scared, but he knew when the con-man bit off more than he could chew. He turned to Jason and whispered to him, "He's the bloody king. I'm not helping you fuck the king."

"I do not need help with that." Phantom said before shining brighter, a green tinge covering the edges of his body.

Constantine turned back, most likely expecting the creature couldn't hear them. "I met Pariah Dark, your magical essence is..."

"Ghosts have cores." Phantom corrected, crossing the central arms as the rest continued moving stars around.

"Yeah, yeah. Your core is different. Since when are you king?"

"Time moves differently between realms. On my earth it was about a decade ago, but by the zones standards it was nearly 50. When did you last hear about them?"

Constantine huffed, pocketing the cigarette that had gone out when Phantom appeared. “Three years ago, but I don’t delve into the infinite realms often.”

“Zatana helped me a bit with the whole being dead thing. Maybe she'll know?” Jason hadn’t talked to her much in the years that followed, she’d not been able to help him. Though now looking back he hadn’t given her much of a chance.

“Yeah, that might…” Once again Phantom interrupted Constantine.

“Wait, wait. I know this magical signature.” The two looked back at the being, “You're the bastard who keeps selling bits of his soul. Do you know how many disputes I've had to settle, how much fucking paper work I've had to do because of you!”

Constantine, ever the survivalist bolts. An act Jason hadn’t been expecting in the slightest. The hellblazer threw the book at him when he left, muttering something that changed the green color to something softer, less toxic.

Jason goes to stand in front of Phantom, the man he’d spent the entire day with was an eldritch being of unfathomable power. He excused the summoning with a wave of his hand, as the book showed.

Although he did shrink down to a more human size, only his face changed in appearance. The rest of him was still pale and lanky, the pointy ears looking cuter than they had before, whe they were as long as a sword.

Jason stayed silent. How was he meant to go about this. What had he promised to this being that it was willing to stay with him. What had he sold to the creature that dictates the value of a life.

 “Oh sweet!" Danny/Phanton did a strange squat and wiggle like he was trying his legs out for the first time in a while. "Wanna go for like a walk or something?”

Jason’s brain seemed to skip a grove when he heard Danny’s voice coming out of the blueish creature.

“A walk sounds nice.” Jason said, ignoring how his mind was racing with the possibilities of this being really curing him… and of what he’ll ask in return.

(sorry this took forever, im certain being a fanfic writter curses you or something. So many fucking things were happening at once gah. I've had this plotted out since i posted part 2, but never got around to turn it into a realish fic)

i need. to write out my thoughts. about the ghost zone. (and the infinite realms)

ok ok so. infinite realms. reasonably, that would mean they are infinite. the realm where the dead goes. every universe is connected to it. every place where the dead gather is inside of it.

what this means.

think of the realms like an ocean. and there are islands, that are above the water. these islands are universes, and they are not connected by anything above the water. but they are connected in the water; you cant walk to another island but you could swim there. thats what the realms are, for every universe. it is the ocean they float in.

now think of the environments within the ocean. those are the different parts of the realms. everything is there. every afterlife exists as an environment within this ocean that is the realms. the greek underworld, the christian heaven/hell, etc etc. some of these afterlives are anchored to specific universes, and others are general afterlives that take deaths from several universes. the ghost zone is actually one of those environments, technically. its a large part of the realms, but not the entire thing.

an important thing to note is that the ghost zone is special compared to any other environment within the realms. those other afterlives are self-contained, without crossover. they are part of the realms but their dead cant leave to the wider realms. the denizens of the ghost zone, however, can travel wherever they want in the infinite realms, including into other ecosystems and even to those universes above the water if they have the power for it. because they are more ectoplasm than other realms beings, and thus made up of more of the substance of the realms. that gives them special privileges, and also means the ghosts of the ghost zone are not like any other ghost. theyre sort of like the ghosts of ghosts; more powerful, more influential, more varied.

another important detail is that the infinite realms are alive, in a way. there is a consciousness there, that picks and chooses and plays favorites. for this reason, pariah dark was never the king of the realms, but instead king of the ghost zone. still a powerful being, but not as powerful as he could have been. the realms must accept you as king for your title to be king of the infinite realms, and pariah dark did not have that favor. it must share itself with you, allow you to perceive it in its infinity, put a piece of itself inside of you. (another note, it is only a denizen of the ghost zone that could become king of the realms, because only a being of pure ectoplasm could handle the pressure of infinity.)

danny phantom does have that favor, along with the crown and the ring and the ectoplasm necessary.

an important note, especially for crossover stuff, is that being the ruler of the realms is like being the god of gods. because gods have specific universes and specific afterlives under their control, but they have no power over that ocean that is the infinite realms.

“So, does that mean you can get us that sweet, sweet new Wayne tech,” Tucker asked.

Sam hit him in the back of his head.

“Ow, what was that for?”

“Thanks, Sam.”

“No problem,” she said.

“Betrayal from my only two friends!”

The three teens were in Sam’s basement/entertainment room. Danny had just finished giving them an unabridged version of his family’s history. Barring a few things. Like the fact that Bruce Wayne was Batman and his kids were the other Gotham heroes.

“So, what now,” Sam asked. She still couldn’t believe it. Danny was raised by assassins! She wanted to be disgusted; she couldn’t condone any life-taking, but she was also aware enough that it wasn’t Danny’s fault.

Besides, he has stopped, and he was a hero now.

“Now, I tell my parents the whole truth about Phantom.”

Sam and Tucker stared at each other.

“Are you sure, dude,” Tucker asked.

“Yeah, what if they don’t accept it and attack you?”

Danny shrugged, “They took it just fine when they found out during the whole reality gauntlet fiasco.”

“Yeah, but that was then; this is now. Danny, you just told them a cult raised you. There’s only so much you can dump on people before they break. Especially parents. Why can’t you accept me for who I am, mom?”

Sam was breathing hard at the end of her little rant.

“Okay,” Danny drawled, “Your parents aren’t my parents, Sam. I would have to tell them eventually. I might as well get it over with.”

“Are you going to tell them about the Ghost King thing, too,” Tucker asked.

“I’m not the Ghost King yet,” Danny said. Tucker rolled his eyes, “Fine, crowned prince.”

“Yeah, I am,” Danny said. For it to work, he had to be fully honest with his parents about Phantom and everything it entailed.

Sam and Tucker looked at each other.

“If you’re sure,” Sam said, “Just know we will always be here for you.”

“Yeah, dude, the three of us are a team.”

“Thanks guys.”

The three friends sat in silence for a while.

“So, are you really not going to ask for that sweet new Wayne tech?”

“Seriously, Tucker?”

“Boo,” a pillow hit Tucker in the face.

“Hey! A guy should be allowed to ask.”

Vlad Masters sat in his office listening in to the three friends.

He was glad he had the foresight to bug more than the Fenton’s home. (Daniel always found the bugs, anyway.) What he had just learned had him reeling. Daniel wasn’t Maddie and Jack’s biological son. Not only that but that buffoon Bruce Wayne was Daniel’s father.

What’s more, Daniel had been raised by assassins.

This changed things. He got up and looked out the window.

Daniel was a valuable asset just for being a half-ghost like him. But now, he was not only the crowned prince of the Infinite Realms, but he was also the biological son of Bruce Wayne. If he could get Daniel on his side, Vlad would have more power than he could have thought possible. Daniel would be his son, and Maddie would be his.

It was time to scheme.

Damian got out of the car and left as soon as they got to the hotel room. Bruce was glad he had called Dick to meet them in front. His eldest followed Damian, even if it was from a distance.

Bruce sighed. He had no idea what to do. How do you deal with a long-lost child forgotten by his mother and brother? A child who had been abandoned by the only family he had ever known? A child who Bruce had no knowledge of?

“God, I wish you were here, Alfred.”

As he exited the car, he could’ve sworn he heard the older man speak, “I’m still here, Master Bruce. Always.”

He turned and saw an empty car.

The city must be getting to him.

Tim had not slept since he got to Amity Park. Now that the firewalls were gone, he had done research.

What he found disturbed him.

“Duke, come here for a moment,” the newest member of the family walked up.

“Tim, you should really sleep.”

Tim took a gulp of his energy drink, “Read this.”

Noticing her brothers’ tense posture, Cass came up to read whatever had caught their attention.

“That can’t be right,” she said, “that violates the Protection Meta Act.”

“Well, it’s there and it exists.”

The Anti-Ecto Act laws were laws that carried out government-approved genocide. They allowed ecto-entities to be hunted down, studied, and exterminated without prejudice. Not only that, but the way the laws were written allowed for any ectocontaminated human to be classified as an ectoentity and stripped of all rights.

How had the Justice League missed this?

“Bruce is going to be pissed,” Duke said.

“Our new baby brother is in danger,” Cass stated.

Tim kept the tab on the Anti-Ecto Act open and took notes to present to Bruce. He was also able to find fights between Phantom and other ghosts. The kid mostly fought in the air.

Tim took more notes of every power Phantom showed. The list was extensive. He whistled when the kid gave a well-placed kick to a vampire-looking ghost. Tim could easily see the League training. It was easy to notice when you knew what to look for.

He found blogs of teenagers praising the teenager and articles claiming that he was as big a menace as the ghosts he fought. Over the years, though, it seemed that the perspective had shifted on Phantom.

He cataloged the shift after Amity Park had been sucked into an alternate dimension and Phantom had helped save the city.

The more he read, the more Tim learned. The more he worried for his new brother. He was different from Damian. There were no articles of decapitated people or people stabbed by a sword. Danny didn’t seem to be as violent as Damian had been.

It made sense. Talia and the League didn’t truly raise him. He had had a chance of a semi-normal life.

Tim also looked into the other hero, the Red Huntress.

She seemed more like a ghost hunter than a hero to Time. She shot any and all ghosts. There was an interview of her saying that all ghosts deserved to be exterminated. Yikes.

There was a knock on the door. It was the secret knock Bruce had taught them. Cass opened the door.

“Hey, Bruce,” Tim looked up and saw the weariness on Bruce’s shoulders. The guy must really be going through it. It made Tim feel a bit bad for what he was about to show Bruce, but the man deserved, no, he needed to know what was going on in Amity Park.

“Tim. Found anything?”

“Oh, I found plenty. You might as well get comfortable. This is going to be long.”

So, I'm better from Covid, which means I'll start working again. I won't update as often as I did the past few days but I'll try to update at least once a week.

He uses you as sort of a coping mechanism for his issues. He needs someone to hold him, tell him it's okay and he's forced that responsibility on you without even realizing it

So if you’re new to the Danny Phantom fandom whether that be because you have joined us via a crossover, the new graphic novel coming out or just somehow got hooked into this fandom there are a few things you should know.

90% of content you will see is purely fanon lore.

I’m gonna divide this into two different sections, going over what is canon and then the most common things from fanon.

So if you go by the show, we have at least three different kinds of ghosts. We have ones like the Fright Knight who is a spirit formed from the feelings and beliefs of people surrounding the thoughts of Halloween and we have ones who were once humans like Sidney Poindexter and Desiree. There are also some who are the product of two different ghosts like Box Lunch. We technically also have the Ancients, but we don’t know anything about them except that they existed many years ago and then they enclosed Pariah Dark in the Sarcophagus of Forever sleep.

We know that a high concentration of ectoplasm introduced very quickly can causes human to turn into a half ghost. This happened with Danny at least 3 times, and the accident Vlad had (as well as Jack in an alternate timeline). Danny was changed twice by the portal and then once by being blasted by a bunch of ectoplasm.

In canon, the Fenton parents are very loving parents with just a bit of absent mindedness to them that leads to them missing the obvious signs that something is up with Danny. Every time in the show that he is exposed to them, he is accepted by them entirely. Even when in an alternate timeline where his parents never got together, he is accepted by them.

In canon, Jazz started out not knowing how to help Danny, Tucker and Sam, but it is shown in the show that she trains to be better later on. She still calls the ghosts by things she designated them as though, not how they would like to be called.

In canon, Vlad is awful. He regularly tries to Hamlet the main character. He tried to ruin/kill Jack to get with Maddie and make their kids his kids many, many times. He cloned a child, gaslit the clones into thinking he cared for them and then planned to melt them down to have his “perfect son”. In canon of the show, Vlad is not redeemable. (This sorta changes a bit in the graphic novel, but it’s a toss up whether that is actually considered active canon or if it’s its own canon now.)

In canon, Tucker is a genius after he was forced to sit through 12 hours of study programming. In canon, he is the reincarnation of a Pharaoh. He can speak a made-up language, Esperanto, and can hack into nearly every piece of tech he comes across.

In canon, Sam is obsessed with all things goth and so has tomes about magical beings and artifacts. She is athletic and is always ready to throw down. She only has plant powers in the episode “Urban Jungle”.

Now onto the Fanon, at least the most popular headcanons that I have come across.

The most common thing among the fandom is that Danny is half-dead. Some have him a ghost possessing his own corpse. Some have him be Schrodinger’s boy. Some have him have lower vitals or just no vital signs altogether. He is said to have died and not come back all the way or right. Common things have him be cold to the touch, a lower heart rate, and him forgetting to breathe entirely.

Probably the second most common headcanon is that Danny is the Ghost King after having fought and defeated Pariah Dark in single combat. Ways he takes the throne are varied, everything from him being forcibly put onto the throne and unable to go to the human world, to having to name Jazz or Maddie as regent until he reaches either human or ghostly majority, to him taking the throne but it being more of a figurehead thing. Most stories will have him have a plethora of titles and names he goes by. Along with this he now has a lair inside the Zone, most have him taking over Pariah’s Keep and some do have him have his own new lair.

Another popular headcanon is Ancient of Space or the Balance Danny (going with AGIT, the balance actually is now canon). These lead to things like Danny having an eldritch form. Something that is obviously “other” and hurts to perceive.

Both of these result in an OP Danny and probably around half of them will have him stuck at 14 and/or functionally immortal.

Another very common DP headcanon is Bad Fenton Parents and that their research caused the GIW’s formation. Alongside that come the most common type of fic you will come across which is where Danny has been captured by either the GIW or his parents and then is vivisected. Majority of them will have him vivisected by his own parents. Many of them will have them be varying levels of neglectful, from just not noticing things about their kids to straight up forgetting they were there and Jazz having to take care of them both.

In most fanon, the GIW are actively trying to genocide an entire species. This is closest to a canon thing considering that they did try to nuke the GZ, which would have resulted in their universe also collapsing. The things that some people write/draw for the atrocities the GIW and Bad!Fentons are things that I bring up to my therapist frequently. Be prepared for descriptive gore.

There are a few characters that have spawned in fanon that are widely accepted as canon characters now. The main one is Wes Weston along with his brother Kyle. Wes Weston was a background character that we see for about 3 frames in one episode, but he looked similar to Danny and had green eyes and the fandom latched onto that. It started out with someone claiming the A-listers would think that Wes is Phantom because he’s athletic, had the same build and green eyes. From there, the fandom has decided that he also is the only person to figure out that Danny was Phantom and tries frequently to expose him. Kyle Weston is Wes’ older brother, in the same class as Jazz and he doesn’t believe that ghosts are real and is played for gags a lot.

Another major piece of fanon lore is ghost cores. This stems from a remark Frostbite said talking about Danny’s core temperature and the fans took it and ran with it. In fanon there’s all kinds of different types of ghost cores, usually an element or an aspect of existence. Many have Danny possess an ice core, in some he has a space core. Others take his “death” into consideration and believe him to have an electric core. Commonly people have Vlad have a fire core. Usually cores are an orb that a ghost can retreat into to heal. If the core is shattered, the ghost is ended and no longer exists in any capacity.

Similar to cores is obsessions. These are essentially the purpose of the ghost, their drive and purpose. Skulker’s is hunting, Ember’s is recognition etc. Most give Danny a protection obsession, but will sometimes give him a space obsession.

Something that has gained traction in the last few years (to my knowledge mostly since the pandemic) is liminality. Liminality is where people are contaminated with ectoplasm due to overexposure or ingestion of it and it gives them ghostly abilities. Different people have liminality give people different abilities. Some have glowing eyes, lengthened canines and pointed ears. Some have enhanced senses, strength and speed as well as extra durability. Some have eyes that reflect like a cats and night vision. Some even go so far as give them at least one of the major ghostly abilities.

How someone becomes liminal differ depending on if the writer wishes to have it just be main characters or if it’s the entire town. If it’s just main characters then usually their frequent exposure to ghostly things as well as close proximity to it makes them liminal. For the whole town people will usually have the portal give off essentially radiation or when the town was pulled into the GZ be the cause.

Frequently Sam, Tucker and to a lesser extent Jazz are given extra abilities. Sam usually has residual powers from her time possessed by Undergrowth, Tucker usually has some form of techno Nancy and Jazz usually has some sort of empathetic ability, if not that she get’s the basic extra strength, speed, durability and senses.

There are some lesser known ones that should at least be mentioned in case you come across them. One of those being ghost hunger. This is where ghosts or liminals thirst for ectoplasm similar to how vampires thirst for blood. Another common thing is that ghosts socialize by fighting. That most of the fights are ghosts greeting the baby ghost. The last thing is that the main characters are known as Team Phantom.

I’m probably going to think of more later and I’ll post when I do, but this is the basics that I could remember on the fly. I hope this helps people!!

Weeping Siren

Inspired by this post, but not the same thing.

Had this amazing idea I couldn't let go.

So basically, Danny's home world was destroyed, and none of his friends or family are alive or even dead with him. I'm not sure what caused thus but probably some sort of dumb GIW plot. This act also damages, but not destroy, the ghost zone/infinite realms.

Danny becomes the ghost king, sure he might have a bit of paper work, but in this story the main job of the ghost king is to keep the ghost zone working/safe, and even protect it should he have to. Because the ghost zone is damaged, he spends most of his time feelings himself through the ghost zone and fixing areas, maybe this is why the Lazarus pits exist?

Anyways, since Danny's always stressed and is grieving/will always grief his home, the ghosts always feel the sorrow of their great king, whom they all grow protective of, and who they greatly love and appreciate.

Danny takes to singing to relieve stress, help him pass the time, and even let him grief in a safe way. Despite this and the love of his people, being in the ghost zone and effectively working even when he can sleep, it all starts getting to him. So he starts performing his songs to the ghosts, telling his stories, his wishes, his love and grief, what he wishes could've happened, and what he hope WILL happen, all through his songs.

Yet he is still in the ghost zone, and so the ghost suggests he performs to the many dimensions and universes that the ghost zone is connected to, it is infinite after all.

And so he does.

From here the ghost king gains a reputation for being a great, yet sad king. A being that could destroy dimensions without trying being in perpetual grief. His stage name becomes the Weeping Siren.

It continues like this.

My idea come from a story where the JL see Constantine being excited/ecstatic for once. They ask what's up and John says the Weeping Siren is going to perform in their universe soon, and he's excited to attend.

One thing leads to another and John or Zatanna convince the other members to join, or the other way around, the JL convinces the two to take them. Either way they tell the JL time and space and everything stops for those who attend, so there are no consequences, and everyone can have a chance to join. And they want the JL beings from different dimensions and universe will most likely be attending as well.

If you want to go even crazier you can add different versions of the Justice league or those they know, like many different versions of Jason Todd attend and things like that.

I imagine it like a bar/dinner kinda vibe, with a stage that Danny steps on to. He's obviously going to be dressed androgynously, and it's hard to say if he seems more ghost or human, as his forms have long since practically merged with eachother. Sure he could shift more to one of his sides, but he accepts hes both, so he becomes both.

Danny sings songs, even the happier songs have a wisp of sorrow or longing in them.

A song I'd add is Nobody by Mitski. Idk why, but it resonates with me, and I think It'd resonate with this Danny.

This danny totally wears dresses, and i imagine he wears darker colors, more blacks with chains, as well as have glasses that look perscripting perched on his head like you would sunglasses. With a certain flower in his hair. Nods to Tucker and Sam. Yes he wears pants and combat boots popular my many world's men. He'd wear biker gloves and all in all he'd change up his outfits, wearing a multitude of different things popular of both genders. Yet the flower, the dark colors, those glasses, they always stay consistent.

You know the song Killer Queen? So I was thinking it fit Danny well but not all the way, because he’s a good guy, so let me introduce to you my Killer Queen au!

Danny is trans in this au, only instead of Amity being really accepting everyone shunned him or said it was just a phase he’d grow out of, this obviously had bas effects/affects on him. He never really confirms that it was just a stunt, but acts like it was nothing IT WAS EVERYTHING and laughs it off. He grows up as a fake, slowly losing himself.

His deadname is Daniel (which I’m not sure if feminine or not so maybe Danielle I don’t know), hence why he prefers Danny, which he has yet to get anyone to call him.

And Danny’s really pretty in this au, to the point where it means people forgive him for his little stunt about being trans it wasn’t a stunt, why won’t you listen! WHY WON’T YOU ACCEPT HIM! despite their homophobia, boys want him and girls want to be him.

Even Sam and Tucker (who’d grown up with homophobia ingrained into them) thought it was just a stunt for popularity and believed Danny was truely just a popular bully. His parents also shipped Jazz off to collage as they saw how smart she was, because in this au they aren’t neglectful just really homophobic. This means there’s nothing to support him and nothing holding him back leading to a Dan like scenario.

Danny goes into the portal and presses the button on purpose because he wants to die, he puts on a hazamat suit because his parents made him (like I mentioned they aren’t anything close to neglectful here, not after Vlads accident) but they weren’t in the room when he dies. Without support he freaks out and hides it from them, and as he’s fundamentally different here, mostly in ghostly ways.

Dannys obsession is neither space nor protection, and he isn’t an Ancient but his power levels are scarily close, his obsession is being a boy and revenge on those who misgendered him and forced him into this! Although I’d imagine if he ever got help his obsessions would shift and change respectively, he’d need to be male so that one would stay the same but be taken out more healthily, but his revenge obsession would probably shift to something else, I’m not sure if it’d be something he likes like Space (which would presumably only happen if he rediscovered it) or if it would be something closer to teaching humans and ghosts about lgbtq+ because that is an alternative to revenge (and also it fits his canon thing of bridging the gap, and getting humans and ghosts to coexist only now it’s homophobias and lgbtq+s).

But either way I doubt Danny’ll be able to get that help for a while, either a while as in, thousands of years later some ghost hero tries to overthrow him and realised there was hope for him, or a while as in, Jazz comes back home from collage and realises how desperately Danny needs help and helps him. Either way was assisted by Clockwork, who Danny eventually meets. No idea where Dan, Ellie, Vlad, and Jack and Maddie fit in though. Sam and Tucker either aren’t main characters here or Jazz forces Danny to talk to them so he gets some good friends.

His name probably isn’t Danny Phantom for so many reasons, he’ll want to be as far away from Fenton after how the treated him, he’s not going to be a hero (not in the way he does in the show anyways), ect. He’ll keep Danny because that’s his new name and he presumably wants a last name, I was thinking Danny Death but that seemed too cheesy.

I think it might actually be Danny Pariah! As Pariah means outcast (haha a tyrant king is called Pariah) and also because he claims it to cement his title as king and his defeat of Pariah Dark, he’d probably go by High King Pariah or something which gets confusing so Pariah Dark went by King Dark just for convince sake okay. I’m just going to call Pariah Dark by his full name and Danny just Pariah for his ghost form and Danny for him in general for connivence.

Dannys ghost half/form looks different too like this:

Pariahs hostile look - his hair is flames traveling down his back to the floor, he’s wearing a blood stained suit with a dress over it, when he takes off his clothes his b00bs have deep cuts and are bleeding, he was self harm scars dripping down his arms, his eye lashes are long and are constantly wet his glowing green tears, his skin is a very pale white and he’s very skinny and almost inhumanly tall because beauty standards, he has fully green eyes which are shaped like Vlads, he has long ears that have piercings with pearls all the way up (all of which look painful), when he defeats Pariah Dark he wears a royal outfit and his long hair is done up painfully pulling at his scalp.

Pariahs passive look - his hair is the same length as his human form and it’s got a soft glow, he wears a white t-shirt with a black long sleeve shirt to cover the self harm scars and light blue sweatpants, he gets a binder (which doesn’t hurt at all or cause problems breathing because it’s ghost thing and I want to give him something good), he only has scars not bleeding wounds from self harm, he isn’t crying but he had tear marks down his face, his skin is his normal tan colour and his body shape is normal too (not extremely skinny or tall), his eyes have seperate (white) scleras and (green) irises but no pupils and are a human shape, he has pointy ears longer than a humans and only one black ring in each ear, when he defeats Pariah Dark then he has no earrings on one ear and a crown and a ring earring on the other but isn’t obviously royalty.

Pariah happy look - his hair is short like in the show and it defies gravity but doesn’t look like flames, he wears a cape made from a bed sheet and a onesie that has the black and white patterns of his hazmat suit, he’s biologically a boy no need for a binder, no self harm scars or blood or anything, he doesn’t have tears or tear marks or puffy eyes he looks okay happy even, he looks younger than he really is (both because he’s a very young ghost and because he never got to have his childhood and when he’s happy he feels young) and has baby fat and chubby cheeks, his eyes are like a normal humans expect his green irises which look hypnotising not toxic or terrifying, he has slightly point ears, when he defeats Pariah Dark he wears a too-big paper crown lopsided on his head. He also has sharp teeth (like if I were to draw them I’d to zigzags) not fangs.

Pariah looks like the hostile description whenever a human’s near, however when alone with ghosts or animals (who dont attack or misgender him) he’s his Passive look and he’s kind, much more like the Danny we know and love, only much more reserved, traumatised, distrusting, ect. He’s rarely happy

Despite not trusting any humans Pariah doesn’t physically attack them on sight but won’t hesitate if they set him off or if he’s already in a bad mood. No one knows what gender he is (or that his issue is that they’re misgendering him) because he attacks anyone who misgenders him (and automatically shifts to his hostile look if he isn’t already in it) but doesn’t respond to he/him as he’s not used to it which causes confusion and ends in many unnecessary deaths.

Danny already cut his hair the day he came out because he thought he’d be accepted so he grows it out, only he has his accident part way through growing it out leading to an eternal mullet and he also feels much less human as he isn’t accepted, not as himself, so due to having less connection to humanity more ghost features leak over to his human form.

Dannys hair is always snow white and doesn’t seem weighed down by gravity (although it doesn’t outright float), his beauty turns from popular kid to ethereal inhuman, he has long sharp fangs sometimes, he uses overshadowing to manipulate people or tricks them into promise, he subtly and physically change to keep up with beauty trends and the individual preferences of people around him (even if that means changing his skeleton).

I imagine one of Dannys powers would be that people would have to keep their promises to him and that they can’t disobey him, this works on any gender not just boys but I’d imagine if he were less powerful boys would be easier due to them being attracted to him in the straight way. He can also force boys (and only boys for the same straight reason) to fall in love with him even if they usually wouldn’t be attracted to girls. And his final power is that people are automatically drawn to him, he stands out in a crowd and people chose him automatically.

Danny gets quickly corrupted by his hate, as a half human he holds back just enough to not murder anyone immediately, still appearing human. He will get his revenge.

Every boy Danny dates disappears, he seduces them in school then kills them on the first date, fangs ripping their lips at the first kiss, quickly escalating to his claws cutting through their flesh, mauling them, their screams muffled by his finger to their neck. Their corpses disappear. No trace of blood is ever seen and the police drop the missing cases why try to find a phantom a ghost.

Every ground of girls who’re friends with Danny disappear, they get closer and come over for a sleep over, he wakes them up one by one eyes glowing green in the dark, his claws dig into their brains, their guts get smeared over their sleeping beds and clothes, he moves onto the next girl. Their corpses disappear. Danny runs to his parents in hysterics who blame ghosts if only they knew.

Every person who Pariah kills is found, their corpses made into twisted art pieces, blood splattered on walls, claw marks in their skin, bones broken to unnatural angles. No one messes with him (as a ghost). And believe it or not it works, they’re respectful, they don’t mention girls, they obey rules of the dead (from many cultures), and he ignores them.

But the jocks and cheerleaders? The popular kids? The bullies? Oh they’ve got hell waiting for them (literally). Green eyes staring at them in the shadows, they hear noises coming form the dark, they having nightmares where they’re ripped apart and skewered and killed brutally by Pariah. They get paranoid after years of this, they get almost crazy by the time they’re 17, by the time for prom.

Anyways, by the time Dannys 15 (his accident still happened at 14) Vlad releases Pariah Dark or Pariah Dark gets released by someone else or something, for whatever reason Pariah Dark takes Amity into the Infinite Realms like he does in the show. And Danny beats him (presumably with the Fenton exoskeleton thing), gaining the title of King DO YOU HEAR THAT! KING! KING! NOT QUEEN and in doing so he becomes High King Pariah.

Unfortunately for the citizens of the Realms, Pariah is barely better than Pariah Dark. I mean, he’s not actively killing ghosts, but he abuses his power sometimes and is a bad ruler, barely paying attention to anything. But he’s not as bad as Pariah, and arguably more powerful than him. So they let Danny rule.

Also Freakshows whole mind control thing never works because Freakshow is obnoxious and Danny immediately decides to kill him when he sees the ghost forced slaves, the whole ‘unleash your dark side’ thing only made him more cruel for the days it was on. He kills him to fast for Freakshow to really control him at all, Danny keeps the staff but it clashes with his morals so much he never uses it.

Is Vlad trans too??? Is that why he moved to Wisconsin? Did jack and Maddie purposely abandon him after they realised he was trans (presumably around the time of the accident)? He took it better than Danny.

So. I'm not a nitpicking person. I understand that mistakes can be made and typos are a thing and sometimes we are just not the kind of person that can make words work for a variety of reasons (dyslexia, for example).

This is not for that people.

This is for everyone who stumbled into this fandom by mistake and had learned things via osmosis and don't have the energy/time to check the source material for the "correct" thing.

Disclaimer: while experimenting with canon is fun, this is just to lay down the rules of what's what so it can be the springboard of y'all's beautiful creations.

DP SIDE - Post "A Glitch in Time" Canon

Sam is Jewish

Sam is ultra-recyclo-vegetarian aka "doesn't eat anything with a face". Is not a real thing.

It's "Amity Park" not "Amity Ville".

It's "Casper High", not "Caspar High".

Mr. Lancer doesn't have a canon name. Common fanon ones are William or Edward.

Ghost obsessions are canon. In AGIT, it's explained that ghosts have a purpose or drive. Danny's purpose is "protection" of both humans and ghosts.

Ghost cores are fanon-ish (there is a mention that Danny's ice powers come from his "core" temperature and is never addressed again, of course) (Episode is "Urban Jungle"). Then in the videogame Urban Jungle for the Nintendo DS, Undergrowth's "core" is an actual object called a "core".

Ghost speak is fanon. However, in AGIT, it's revealed that there's an ghost alphabet, and it's ancient form is based on sanskrit and tamil alphabets. Codex of Ghost alphabet.

Ghost Hunger is canon! In AGIT it's revealed that ghosts feed on emotions and thoughts to stay sapient. If they don't, they become feral with time. Halfas feed from their human side, remaining stable.

Danny is the bridge between the spirit world and living world - canon!

Danny beats the Ghost King Pariah Dark in combat, but faints and that fight is never addressed in the series again. Ghost King!Danny is fanon-ish so go ham with interpreting that. (Episode is "Reign Storm")

Tucker is the reincarnation?? (never stated in canon, but he does look alike) of a pharaoh named "Duul Aman" (Duulaman is also accepted as spelling). Said pharaoh never appears in the series as a ghost, just a picture. Who does appear is his (evil) right hand man, Hotep-Ra, who tries to manipulate Tucker (Episode is "King Tuck"). That Tucker gets cool magic from this event is fanon. But cool.

Sam gets possessed by Undergrowth via a vine straight into her spine (gross). Undergrowth calls her "his daughter" and she tries to lure Danny into "joining her to take over the world". (Episode is "Urban Jungle"). That Sam gets cool plant powers from this event is fanon. But cool.

The Fenton parents are never physically abusive - just comedically neglectful in the way parents are depicted in early 2000s cartoons. Incompetent, misguided, dumb... but they are shown to love their kids. The even accept Danny the 2 canon times they find out about him (Episodes "Reality Trip" and "Phantom Planet").

Jazz is never shown as "mature" in the sense that she had to parent Danny and be the responsible adult. She is comedically the "annoying and meddling older sister" from early 2000s cartoons. She wants to be considered an adult. She couldn't see Youngblood, who is a child ghost that cannot be seen by adults, and Danny had to push her into acting childish to make her see him.

Axiom labs is bought by Vlad's company "Vlad.co" not "DALV.co". DALV.co was the fake company that paid for Maddie and Danny to fly to a conference but stranded them in a forest where Vlad's cabin coincidentally was. (Episode "Maternal Instincts")

Dan is not older Danny. He is not called "Dan" in the series, just "Dark Danny". In The Ultimate Enemy videogame for GBA, he's called Dan Phantom. He is Danny's ghost half, who killed his human half, ate/merged with Vlad's ghost side and then tried to kill Vlad's human side. Was losing his humanity what made him evil? Was it merging with the Bad Guy(tm) of the series? 🤷‍♀️ Take it as you will. (Episode is "The Ultimate Enemy")

Freakshow is NOT a clown. He is the ringmaster of a goth circus (called Circus Gothica). Danny's headcanoned fear of clowns can be traced back to the "circus" and clown-related imagery surrounding Freakshow's performances, but not directly BY Freakshow. (Episodes "Control Freaks" and "Reality Trip")

DC SIDE

Damian (not Damien or Demian) had never confirmed his religion. Fanon has accepted he is Muslim.

Bruce is from a Jewish family (Martha Wayne was Jewish), but he considers himself an atheist. Same with Kate Kane (Batwoman).

It's "Selina" Kyle, not "Selena" or "Salina".

It's "Talia" Al Ghul, not "Thalia".

It's "Jason", not "Jayson".

Damian is vegetarian, not vegan. It means he doesn't eat meat, but eats animal produces like eggs, milk, etc. He went vegetarian after rescuing Batcow from a slaughterhouse, he didn't arrive at the manor already being vegetarian.

Duke is NOT adopted. Bruce is fostering him temporarily and is more of a mentor to him than a father. Duke considers the others his siblings, though. EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT DUKE: Part 1 | Part 2

Dick was not adopted as a kid, Dick was Bruce's ward. That term is not used anymore, though. Adoption happened later in Dick's adulthood.

It's Gotham, not "Gothem".

Cassandra IS adopted.

Cassandra's most common nickname is "Cass". Even if "Cassie" has been used in canon before, is more commonly used Cass in fandom. Cassie is used more to refer to Cassandra Sandsmark, Wondergirl.

"Baby bird" or "Baby bat" are fanon-ish(?). Little Wing, Dickie, Dickie-bird... Canon! Jaylad is not canon, but Jaybird is canon! A GREAT post with receipts about all nicknames. ("Replacement" isn't canon btw).

Stephanie Brown was the 4th Robin. She is not adopted, and was part of the batfamily because she was dating Tim. She is still considered batfamily even if they are not dating anymore.

In Hush, when Jason comes back to Gotham, Jason puts a knife on Tim's throat, but barely leaves a cut. Tim's throat wasn't injured during the Titans Tower attack.

Cass is selectively mute because she wasn't taught any language beyond what she needed to predict people's movements. She doesn't know sign language. She doesn't know how to read and write (more recent comics show her reading a bit). But she could learn, with difficulty. Very in depth analysis of Cass' disability.

Jason's "Pit Madness" is fanon. Canon offers Ra's saying "the Pit alters the mind - could happen for a few days or for years, you never know" or something like that, and that's it. There is reason to believe that the Lazarus Pit can cloud judgement for a while but there is no voice in the back of the head or the Pit taking over.

Tim never expressed special interest in photography or in it as a hobby. Nor he is a coffee addict more than the other bats, who pull all nighters on the reg. He is actually addicted to energy drinks.

There are 2 main Conner/Kon-El/Superboy I portrayed in fics: Young Justice cartoon one (grumpy, same age as Dick, kind of an asshole, has daddy issues, wears black shirt and jeans, has a space motorcycle and a pet wolf) and 90s comics one (leather jacket, piercings, punny guy, same age as Tim, has a #nohomo relationship with Tim, kind of a himbo).

There are a few Ghost superheroes - Greta Hayes (Secret), she was in Tim's run as Young Justice's leader; and Boston Brand (Deadman), who is a member of Justice League Dark (with Constantine and Zatanna and Swamp Thing!). So the DC heroes are familiar with ghosts and ghost powers.

It's "rogues" gallery, not "rouge". Rouge means "red" in french.

Clark is never abusive to Conner, he just doesn't know what to do with him and chooses to ignore the problem; which, yeah, is mean, but not to the levels that fanon has taken it. The whole "No metas in Gotham" is not true. Batman understands that Gotham is very Fucked Up and that if you add metahumans and heroes with powers trying to do good to the mix it could make things worse.
