Yeah, accidentally killed Starlo/North Star in my Undertale Yellow run, I was trying to lowwr his HP like how you can do in undertale to let monsters spare you, but.. he was like half hp and died immediately... yeah exited out there quickly.. too bad there wasn't any special dialogue for exiting after killing a boss like there is for Toriel in Undertale.
Yeah, I know it's the wrong background but I was too lazy to draw one so I just took an image from the game in the dunes area.

Here's one without the dialogue and one with just Clover

Well I really love your art, may I ask how do u color? I struggle with coloring turtles and I wasn't to know how do u do that?
Hi anon! That's a very broad question, so you've given me a great excuse to ramble anything I want about my coloring, eehehehee~! This will be in two parts and I'll start with talking about my simpler coloring style.
As in, when I color characters on a white background, with a limited or light palette.
Tumblr media
The driving force behind this style is me being lazy. My time, energy, and attention span are pretty limited, so if I want to finish anything, I gotta do it fast. And with fanart, I'm usually just doing it for fun and relaxation, so there's no need to push myself to polish it too much.
Despite that, I rarely post just black and white sketches or line arts. I always try to add at least a little bit of toning or shading, because that makes the image easier to read. The characters and their shapes pop out and catch the eye of the viewer better.
Tumblr media
However, in this particular example, just the couple toning colors don't quite do the job. The way Don and Leo are entangled makes the center area of this illustration very busy and hard to read.
As a comparison; this pic has only one tone + mask colors, and it works. This is because all the characters are standing separately and their poses are very stationary and simple.
Tumblr media
So for the Don + Leo pic, adding some shadows helps in bringing out shapes and depths. Also in general, if you don't feel like drawing BGs, it's good to at least add a shadow below the characters. It grounds them and makes them feel like they exist within a space.
Tumblr media
Sometimes if the posing looks too complex and busy, it might just be best to color in the characters fully.
However, even if I do full flat colors, I tend to use a lighter palette. Putting characters in their neutral/default color on a white BG can look a bit jarring as if they're floating in a void. It feels less immersive and like the picture is unfinished.
Tumblr media
Using lighter colors makes the image more cohesive, and fits the characters into the white environment a bit more naturally.
If I'm too lazy to draw a BG, I prefer using stylized and limited colors. It feels deliberate and that the whiteness is just part of the palette, whereas the character-accurate colors on white don't match as well, even if they're more pastel.
Tumblr media
That being said, there's nothing wrong with just slapping the flat-colored characters on a white background. As you know, I do it too. I'm just exposing my 'fancy coloring style' for what it is; me being lazy, hah!
Limited and monochromatic palettes are a nice shortcut even when you do actual backgrounds. It's faster and you don't have to worry about clashing colors. And you can still convey atmosphere and mood.
Tumblr media
Also, on the topic of conserving your time and efforts; I think it's very common among younger/less experienced artists to think that the amount of time you spend on your art piece = how good and well received that piece will be.
Which has some merit to it of course, but it can lead to putting too much effort into areas where it's not necessary. E.g. filling the piece with tons of details and clutter that don't serve an actual purpose, but rather make the image hard to read. Or doing really complicated shading for a meme/comic, where simplicity would deliver the joke better.
So whenever I'm drawing something I intend to publish, whether it's a quick doodle or a more polished piece, I try to follow these two principles: Make it easily readable and do the bare minimum that needs to be done to convey what I want to convey.
Putting time into practice is important, but if you draw for work, it's also crucial that you know how to prioritize and use your time efficiently!
Anyway, thanks for reading! In the next part I'll go into how I do my fully colored pieces, so stay tuned for that!

On today's "I am SO not normal about Dead Friend Forever": Discussing Catholicism and Colonization in this gay Thai slasher series
Some background on me: I am from a Latine Catholic family. Raised as a non-practicing Catholic (we didn't go to church or pray). Then my parents enrolled me in a Catholic school that I attended from 5th grade to the end of 7th grade. Today, I am not Catholic and have never really considered myself as such.
Ok, so in the flashback episodes of DFF, I have been noticing a lot of things. My findings under the cut.
Let's start with this crucifix and photo of the Virgin Mary and a baby Jesus.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Screenshot from ep. 5.
The camera lingers here a bit so we're obviously meant to pay attention to the phrase. I put the screenshot through Google translate's image translator and the translation it gave me was, "Think good, do good, be a good person." I didn't think much of it when I first watched the episode other than it was supposed to establish that the boys attend a Christian or Catholic school.
But then there was this image posted on Be On Cloud's Instagram (also from ep. 5): X
Tumblr media
Zooming in, we can see there's another picture of Mary in the background. Watching the classroom scenes, it's easy to miss because the series itself is more washed out than the official photos posted. But this emphasis on Mary led me to believe the school is a Catholic one. So out of curiosity, I looked up the schools the writers and directors attended because I felt I was onto something here. And boy, was I!
Tumblr media
Source: MDL
Ma-Deaw, if you didn't know, is one of the directors of Dead Friend Forever (he also directed Manner of Death and Inhuman Kiss , and lots of other things).
One Google search later (X) and I learned "Montfort College" is a Catholic school. It started out as a primary school that later added a secondary school as well.
Now let's take a closer look at some of the details of this school:
Tumblr media
First, the school's motto "Labor Conquers All Things". This reminded me of the phone conversation Tee had with his uncle:
Tumblr media
On my first watch, this sounded familiar to me but I couldn't really place why. It wasn't until I saw this other Tumblr post (X) that pointed out it's similar to a bible quote from the New Testament. The quote varies a bit depending on which version of the bible you're using but it's along the lines of, "He who does not work, neither shall he eat".
This is meant to discourage "laziness". Nevermind the fact that people deserve to eat simply because we get hungry and need food to survive. The idea that we only "deserve" things based on productivity is an extremely colonial one. — Reminder also that Tee is being forced into this "work" in the first place. He's just a high school kid. I don't need to like his character to understand how fucked up his situation is.
Then there's the patron of the school. St. Louis de Montfort was a French Catholic priest most known for his study in Mariology. What is Mariology (X)? The study of Mary, the mother of Jesus. I didn't know that was a thing but it's unsurprising considering how prominent images of Mary were in my own religious upbringing. And she's what started me down this rabbit hole in the first place. Mary is a big deal to the Catholics. I'm going to be paying even more attention now if more Mary imagery pops up.
The Garden of Eden and Original Sin
Now I want to draw attention to these images:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Screenshots from ep. 7
Here we have Non and Phee biting into an apple as they leisure around this lush green field. We know they've visited this location more than once because they're wearing different outfits in the screenshots. And I think it's important to note that it's Phee holding the apple and offering it to Non.
Tumblr media
The use of the word "bait" in the bts of ep. 7 is quite interesting too. (X)
The Garden of Eden was the paradise in which Adam and Eve resided. In this garden, there were many trees to eat from. The one tree Adam and Eve were forbidden by God to eat from was the Tree of Knowledge. A serpent (Satan), first tempted Eve into taking from the tree to eat it's fruit. And then Eve gave the fruit to Adam. That is Original Sin. And because Adam and Eve ate from the Tree of Knowledge, all humans thereafter are born sinful and bad, and can only find salvation through God.
Of course in the scene between Phee and Non, the sin the apple represents is being gay. And it's after this, and after the bracelet scene, that Non becomes involved with Por's film and his tragedy begins.
Tumblr media
Zoomed in screenshot from ep. 5
And I wonder if the bracelet scene is the last time Phee and Non visit this forest location. It would parallel how Adam and Eve were cast out of the Garden of Eden once they sinned.
Final Thoughts
You give me a story that criticizes Western religion and how it's used as a tool for oppression and colonization, and I'm gonna eat that shit up. I am gonna eat it up. Every. Single. Time.
I really wasn't expecting anything like this from Dead Friend Forever. This level in attention to detail is unmatched. I don't think I've watched a more well planned out show. And no matter where DFF goes from here, these seven episodes will always hold a special place in my heart. 💗

"You're my little toy, and I don't like to share."
Tumblr media
Katsuki Bakugou x Reader
WARNING⚠️: Dub-Con, Smut, Bullying, Debatably Bad Writing, I spelled Katsuki's name wrong and im too lazy to fix it.
You've been warned <3
Y/N walked into class with a sense of dread, her heart beating in her chest like a trapped bird. She knew what was coming, the same old routine that had become a sickening part of her school life. Katsuki Bakugo sat in the back, his eyes narrowing as she approached her desk. He was the epitome of toxic masculinity wrapped in a high school uniform, and she was his favorite target.
"Oh, look who it is," he sneered, as she tried to ignore him and focus on her book. "The useless little shit with the weird hair."
The classroom grew tense as all eyes shifted towards them. Y/N felt her cheeks burning with humiliation as she sat down and turned to face the front of the room, hoping that would be the end of it. But she knew better. The chair creaked as Bakugo leaned back, his fingers finding their way to the locks of her hair that fell just in front of her shoulder. He tugged, not hard enough to cause pain, but enough to make it clear that he was there, watching her, claiming his territory. The sensation of his touch made her skin crawl, but she didn't dare show it.
Mr. Aizawa, their homeroom teacher, strode into the room, his sharp gaze scanning over the students. He had a way of silencing a room without saying a word, his very presence demanding respect. He looked at Y/N with a flicker of concern, but she quickly dropped her gaze to avoid his scrutiny. She knew he'd noticed the tension between her and Bakugo, but she didn't want to make waves. Not today.
The lesson began, and Y/N found it impossible to focus. Her mind was racing with thoughts of the last time she had been alone with Bakugo, the way his hands had felt on her body, the way he had claimed her so roughly and without care for her feelings. She couldn't reconcile the monster he was in public with the one who sought her out in private. It was as if there were two of him, and she didn't know which one she hated more.
Mr. Aizawa's voice was a dull hum in the background as she took furtive glances at the clock, counting down the minutes until she could escape. She felt his eyes on her, but she kept her own gaze averted. The last thing she wanted was for him to ask questions she didn't have the answers to. Or worse, for him to see the dark circles under her eyes, the bruises she had hidden with makeup, the tremble in her hand as she held her pencil.
When the bell finally rang, signaling the end of class, she bolted up from her seat, her books clutched to her chest like a shield. She had become an expert at navigating the crowded hallways without drawing attention to herself. It was a skill she had honed out of necessity. She didn't want to give Bakugo any more opportunities to torment her today.
Mr. Aizawa's eyes followed her as she slipped out of the room, and she felt a pang of guilt for worrying him. But she didn't want his pity. Or worse, his intervention. That would only make things worse with Bakugo. She knew he wasn't the type to back down from a challenge, and she wasn't about to give him one.
Y/N's footsteps echoed in the empty hallway as she made her way towards the exit, her eyes darting to the windows that lined the corridor. The sun was setting, casting long shadows across the floor that seemed to stretch out and grab at her ankles. She picked up the pace, her heart racing faster than it had during the most intense training sessions with All Might. The thought of Bakugo following her home was both terrifying and exhilarating. Her body responded in ways she didn't understand, a betrayal that made her stomach churn.
When she stepped outside, she took a deep breath of the crisp evening air, trying to shake off the feeling of being watched. The schoolyard was empty, the other students having already dispersed to their various after-school activities or homes. She started walking, her eyes scanning the surroundings for any sign of him. It was a game she had played many times before, a sadistic dance of cat and mouse that she never wanted to be a part of. But she couldn't shake the feeling that today was different.
Sure enough, she heard the telltale sound of his footsteps, the heavy tread that seemed to shake the very ground beneath her. She didn't turn around, didn't acknowledge his presence. Instead, she picked up her pace, her sneakers slapping against the concrete as she hurried towards the safety of the bustling streets. But she knew he was there, his shadow stretching out behind her like a dark promise of what was to come.
Y/N reached her house with trembling hands, her breath coming in ragged gasps. She fumbled with her keys, the metal cold and slippery against her sweat-slicked skin. Finally, she managed to get the door open and stepped inside, ready to slam it shut behind her. But before she could, a firm hand gripped the edge of the door, preventing it from closing. She froze, her heart hammering in her chest.
"Going home without saying goodbye?" Bakugo's voice was a low growl, and she felt his hot breath on the back of her neck as he leaned in. His smirk was palpable even without looking at him, the condescending tone of his words like a knife twisting in her gut. "That's not very nice, is it?"
Y/N swallowed hard, her hand clutching the doorframe as she stuttered out a response. "I-I didn't want to bother you." She could feel the tremor in her voice, the fear and anger warring within her. She wished she could turn around and tell him exactly what she thought of him, but she knew better. Instead, she took a shaky step backward, giving him enough space to enter.
Bakugo's grip on the door tightened, and he stepped inside, closing it behind him with a soft click that seemed to echo through the empty house. He moved closer, his hand sliding around her waist, his touch feather-light despite the heavy presence he exuded. "You never have to worry about bothering me, sweetheart," he murmured, his breath warm against her ear. The endearment made her stomach turn, but she forced herself to stay still, to not flinch away from his touch. His fingers trailed up her side, tracing the curve of her ribs, his thumb brushing against the side of her breast. It was a possessive gesture, one that made her skin crawl.
"Do you not like it when I play with you?" His voice was a low purr, the question laced with a hint of challenge. "Or do you hate me for it?"
Y/N stiffened in his embrace, her eyes squeezed shut as she tried to keep the tears at bay. She hated the way he talked to her, the way he treated her like she was something to be used and discarded. But she knew better than to show her true feelings. "I just... I don't understand why you have to be so cruel in front of everyone." Her voice was barely a whisper, her throat tight with the effort of holding back the emotions that threatened to spill over.
Bakugo's chuckle was dark and low, his grip on her waist tightening ever so slightly. "It's simple," he murmured, his breath hot against her cheek. "I do it to let them all know that you're mine. No one else gets to touch you, no one else gets to talk to you. You're my little toy, and I don't like to share."
With that, he began to undress her, his movements slow and deliberate. He pulled at the hem of her shirt, lifting it up and over her head in one smooth motion. His eyes roved over her exposed torso, lingering on the swell of her breasts that were just visible above the lacy edge of her bra. "Look at you," he whispered, his voice thick with something that might have been desire, or perhaps just the thrill of the power he held over her. "So pretty, but so fragile." He flicked the clasp of her bra open, letting it fall to the floor.
Her breath caught in her throat as he cupped one of her breasts, his thumb brushing over the nipple until it peaked. "You're like a delicate little bird," he murmured, his voice a dark caress that sent shivers down her spine. "So easy to break." He bent his head, his hot mouth closing around the sensitive flesh, his teeth grazing her nipple. She bit back a moan, her body responding despite herself. His other hand traveled down to her jeans, unbuttoning them with a practiced ease, the fabric parting to reveal the matching lacy underwear beneath.
With a rough shove, he pushed her backward, her legs giving out beneath her. She landed on the couch with a soft thump, the cushions molding to her body. He stepped closer, his hands sliding down her thighs, pushing them apart. "Look how wet you are for me," he said, his voice a mix of satisfaction and mockery. "You can't help but want it, can you?"
Bakugo's touch was like fire on her skin, setting it alight with a need she couldn't control. She hated herself for it, for the way her body responded to his cruelty, but she was powerless against the desire that surged through her. His hands moved to the waistband of her underwear, tugging them down her legs. He stepped back for a moment, taking in the sight of her exposed to him. "Spread your legs," he ordered, his eyes dark with lust.
Y/N obeyed, her cheeks burning as she parted her thighs for him. He smirked, his gaze shamelessly roving over her most intimate parts. She could feel the wetness pooling between her legs, and she knew he could see it too. It was a humiliating reminder of the power he held over her, and she felt a mix of anger and arousal that she didn't know how to process.
"You're so eager," he whispered, his breath hot against her neck as he leaned in to kiss her. His hand slid between her legs, his fingers pressing into her soft flesh with a possessive hunger. She gasped as he touched her, her body responding despite her mind's protests. His thumb found her clit, circling it with a maddening slowness that had her squirming on the couch. He chuckled darkly, his teeth grazing the sensitive skin of her neck. "So sensitive," he murmured. "You're going to scream for me tonight."
The sound of his phone ringing shattered the tension, a harsh electronic intrusion into the intimate moment. He didn't bother to move his hand, keeping his fingers deep inside her as he reached for his pocket with his free hand. The phone's screen lit up with an unknown number, and he brought it to his ear, his expression bored. "What?" he snapped into the receiver, not bothering with a greeting.
Y/N's body tensed, her breath hitching as she tried to remain quiet. The sensation of his fingers moving within her was almost too much, her walls clenching around him involuntarily. She felt a bead of sweat trickle down her spine as she waited for him to finish his call, her eyes darting around the room for any escape. But she knew there was none, not now. His thumb brushed against her clit with purposeful strokes, sending waves of pleasure through her that she didn't want to feel but couldn't help but crave.
Her eyes squeezed shut, she bit down on her lower lip to muffle the sounds of her moans. It was a futile effort; she could feel the tension coiling inside her, building towards the inevitable climax. And just as she felt the first sparks of orgasm, his call ended with a curt, "Later," and he hung up, his grin wicked as he looked back down at her.
With a sudden jerk, he pulled his hand away, leaving her panting and desperately unsatisfied. The wetness between her legs felt cold and exposed in the absence of his touch. "Looks like we'll have to continue this another time," he said with a smug smile. "I've got somewhere to be."
Y/N walked into class with a sense of dread, her heart beating in her chest like a trapped bird. She knew what was coming, the same old routine that had become a sickening part of her school life. She watched him go, his confident strides taking him away from her and back into the night. She wanted to be angry with herself for the way she had reacted to his touch, but she couldn't help the feeling of emptiness that settled in her chest as she listened to his footsteps fade into the distance.

the most minorly annoying thing about this photo class is that the professor required us to put our first and last names in the metadata and i'm too lazy to figure out how to strip that out in lightroom so i need to go through and edit all the good shit properly before I can share the high res versions.
Also hello i learned to take photos in a journalism context and I am old man yells at cloud about lightroom. Clarity? DEHAZE? AI SELECTING THE SKY?
Back in my day we didn't have smart masks we had to do a magnetic lasso with a 10px feather and it always covered the wrong shit at least part of the time and that's why you take snapshots to correct after the fact and now you've just got a robot to tell you where the sky is? What's the world coming to!? (But actually seriously for real, "select the sky" is a great example of how machine image recognition trained on large public facing image sets is/can be a really useful tool for artists and is not just a fucking plagiarism machine and ALSO a good example of the democratization that people love to deride when talking about AI "everybody already could draw, AI isn't doing anything special" - yeah, well everybody could also spend an hour meticulously clicking around the edge of the subject to remove the background but it was a pain in the ass wasn't it? are you telling me you don't want a mask that you can use to fill with content aware hatching? Are you telling me you don't want a stippling brush that will correct distribution when multiple passes are applied?)

He's done! :D
Tumblr media
According to IbisPaint its taken me three hours. I know I'm uncreative with the background I wasn't necessarily sure what to do and didn't want to leave it white. I was also too lazy to draw the snakes scales.
I had so much fun drawing his hair I love drawing messy or fluffy hair.
I admit the shading is a bit off but I'm sick so my drawing is off anyway. :/

An Animalistic Disaster
Summery: A deer annoys the life out of you and you become a bit suspicious in the end
CH-7: A slithery......friend?
Tumblr media
*poke**poke*
You grumbled in your sleep as you felt something poking you over your blanket. Your eyebrows furrowed as you held Charlie closer who was also asleep. The poking seemed to stop for a moment. But then suddenly your whole blanket was pulled off causing your eyes to shot open.
"Bitc-"
You stopped as a disappointed groan came from the deer in front of you, your blanket in its mouth. You rubbed your temples with frustration. You still wanted to sleep a bit longer.
Begrudgingly, you stood up and headed to your bathroom. After coming out refreshed, you headed to the kitchen to make yourself a cup of coffee. You started one of Ashley's drawing livestreams as a background noise and to lift your moods up. You were cackling with all the jokes and jabs from the va's. And blushed whenever alastor would flirt, even if it wasn't directed towards you. This man's voice was just flawless.
For some reason the deer really disliked whenever Alastor spoke. It tried to bite your phone once but you quickly moved it out of its way. "Bad,bad deer!" You shouted.
In response the deer just squinted it's eyes at you with disapproval. You feared for a moment that it'll try to bite your hand off. But it didn't and just turned it's head away from you.
Another weird thing happened when you were trying to cook breakfast for yourself. You left your front door open in hopes the deer will finally leave you alone and go back in the forest. And the other reason was for the ewe to eat fresh grass. After yesterday you were sure they wouldn't run away from you. The ewe did go out. However the deer did not. It settled on just watching you cook in the kitchen.
You were trying to prepare meat for cooking. You cut your meat into small pieces as you went to wash your vegetables. Before you could react, the deer came forward and took the pieces in its mouth, chewing it. You gave the deer a horrified look. You never heard that deer's could eat meat. You only knew them to eat grass and other veggies.
*Earlier before*
Though Alastor didn't like that you touched him. He had to admit you did your job at sewing him up pretty well. He would forcefully stay with you wether you liked it or not as per Charlie's suggestion. However he didn't expect you to be so gentle with him after seeing him tensed up or the fact you cared to cover him up last night.
He chuckled to himself. What a sweet little girl you were. You risked your life back there to save that of a sheep. This type of people are the one who are taken most advantage of in this world. After regaining his strength in the morning, he went out to wake you up. If you're taking care of them then you shouldn't be such a lazy host.
You attempted to shoo him out by opening your door later. He knew he'd have to eat later but annoying you was more fun. Your reactions have been quite amusing by far. Plus he wasn't that much fond of greenery, he would much rather eat meat. So he didn't leave, drinking up in your frustrations. He thought about the wolves he killed yesterday. They weren't venison but wouldn't hurt to try.
Charlie and Vaggie told him about how they were cartoon like characters in this world. And the thought about being recorded and being showed in those..... picture shows didn't quite sit right with him. If only he had his full power, he would slaughter every people responsible for this. His face wasn't made for something like that. And then there was the thing you played while cooking.
'Bhahaha!'Deer daddy'! People fucking calls you 'deer daddy' Alastor!' Angel was almost choking from laughing too much.'I never imagined I would hear him of all people flirt..' Vaggie said almost cringing. "I assure you I never counted on it either. That is not me. Someone is using my voice for these types of outrageous stuffs!' Alastor said, his eyes almost twitching with anger.
'It also looks like she's got the hots for you Alastor' Angel said wiggling his imaginary eyebrows. 'I mean she likes my voice too but she gets almost as red as you when you talk!' Angel said teasingly. 'Firstly that is not me and secondly I don't have any interest in these things!' Alastor said with annoyance laced in voice.
Truthfully, he found it quite 'entertaining' to see you blush from hearing his voice alone. He wondered what he could make you do if he was there in his body. Perhaps he could easily convince you to sell your soul.
Charlie hoped somewhere in her heart that you liked her as much as Alastor. But she shook her head, she shouldn't be thinking like that, she already has a girlfriend. But she hoped maybe, just maybe,Vaggie would like you too. To stop her thoughts from spiraling further she went outside to eat. What she didn't know that Vaggie had similar feelings.
'Ya know, it's kinda funny how angel's voice actor seems almost like a sweet guy unlike him and alastor's is almost as much of a douchebag as him' Husk said smugly as he was chilling on a chair, swaying his tail behind him.
'You might want to watch your tone my dear friend...' Alastor said with a dark tone which made husk's fur almost stand up. 'Whatever' He said while jumping off and walking away.
You seemed to be cutting some beef for breakfast. An idea hit his head as you went to wash vegetables for cooking. He quickly came to the cutting board and gulped all the meat down, making sure to look at your eyes as he did so. Seeing your face fill with disgust and horror was rather satisfying.
*Back to present*
"For some reason you remind me of Alastor..." You said remembering that alastor was both a deer demon and a cannibal. Seeing this deer eat meat in front of you reminded you of that. 'That's cause I am Alastor, darling ' He said in his head but you couldn't hear him. Alastor decided he bothered you enough and finally went outside.
You let out a sigh of relief finally seeing that deer gone. Thanks to him, meat would have to be skipped today. You finished cooking your meal and made sure to feed the puppy and the kitty. After a while you went back to work.
After working for a few hours, you decided it was time for a break. You didn't want to go farther after what happened yesterday. Instead you just made yourself a cup of hot chocolate and stood on the balcony, admiring the view.
Meanwhile Alastor, Charlie and Vaggie were talking beside a tree on what to do. You could see all three of them from your balcony. Suddenly something jumped in front of Alastor.
'We meet again alastor! Thisss time I will make sure to defeat you with my deadly venom in this human world! And you don't have your voodoo powersss to ssstop mee!'
All three of them looked down at the black snake that stood before them. It was hissing and ready to pounce. It had a couple eye shaped designs in its hood that was now open.
'Uh..who are you?' Alastor asked tilting his head.
The snakes hood fell down in shock. 'It is II! Sssir pentiousss!! Your archh rival!'
'Nope, doesn't ring a bell! But I'm sure I can beat your puny self without any need of magic' Alastor said in a sinister tone before lifting up one of his hoofs.
'No wait-' Pentious could hardly say anything before quickly slithering away from alastor's hoof that just stomped the ground he was in. 'Stand still now!' Alastor's voice rang in Pentious's ears as he quickly busied himself on avoiding Alastor's tries of turning him into a mush. While being chased by Alastor he saw a cabin in the distance. Thinking that as his last hope, he quickly went there.
You were just sipping your drink in peace when all of a sudden you noticed the deer running towards in your direction while trying to stomp on something. Your eye brows furrowed in confusion. While you were trying to look for what he was chasing after, the pair had already reached the balcony.
Pentious quickly climbed atop the railing in hopes alastor wouldn't reach him there. He didn't bother to see where he was going. Thus he was just as surprised as you were, both of you guys faces separated by inches.
Both of you let out a scream as you stumbled back and Pentious fell off from the railing on his back. It was a miracle how you didn't let go off your mug. Looking upwards, he saw Alastor's grinning face as he raised one of his hoofs.
'No wait! stop!' Charlie screamed she got between Alastor and Pentious. 'Calm down you freak!' Vaggie yelled at Alastor while flying.
You felt a familiar dread seeing the snake, ewe, moth and the deer standing together.
"Oh no,no, I'm NOT having a snake inside my house"
But god seemed to have other plans for you. Since after, whatever the animal's were doing, they all looked at you. Your ewe slowly then started to come towards you with the snake following right behind it.
"No,no, stay back. Stay back.." you slowly reached the wall of your cabin as your back laid against it. The sheep and the snake stopped Infront of you. The sheep then slowly nuzzled the snake in the head. The snake then got a bit closer to your feet and bowed? Did the snake just bow with its head?
Then it went a bit back and slowly formed a heart with its body. The sheep seemed quite ecstatic to see that based from the sounds, almost like it was cheering the snake up.
You sighed. You were an idiot but not that much of an idiot. This type of thing definitely wasn't normal. Something was very peculiar with these group of animals. But right now, you had to decide what to do with this snake. Since both of them was looking at you right now with pleading eyes.
What do you do? Do you keep it or shoo it away?
(A.N :(Please read) I just wanted to say that I love both the old and new voice actors!! What I wrote here is just what I think these characters would feel like!!)

Here's another art I made after drawing solar cause I was just that proud
This is a redraw of one of my favorite scenes in one of their videos (forgot the title)
Tumblr media
Wasn't able to post this on their discord server cause I respect their rules (which was "don't use images for background")
I may or may not have gotten lazy with the background
I think I made his eyes too cute?? Sorry 'bout that.. :')
Not exactly proud of this one but hope you liked it <3

Your pirates of the Caribbean fanart is so beautiful! Please, please share tips for how to do that beautiful painting technique you used! <3
Hi, anon! Thank you so much, both for the compliment, and for the question💗✨
Edit: I've reached the 30 pics per post limit and will have to make a part 2, oopsie daisies. But I'm sure it won't be as long as this :"D
In terms of technique, I guess it depends which part exactly you're talking about, because most of it is just oil painting+pencil drawing made digital, where I sort of block my colours first, then blend as I see fit (or in some parts don't blend at all, which is what some classical painters do; it's really just habits and preferences from years of experience) and add details using a pencil brush.
If you're interested, stay tuned as I try and give some tips while showing my whole process using this lovely photo of Commodore as an example:
Tumblr media
Part 1. The basics
I usually only use these 2 brushes, just because I like them a lot, rarely more than that; and I've changed the settings on the second one so it rotates in the direction of a stroke instead of being at a fixed angle.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
SO, firstly I just make a sketch of course, then make a very rough base colour layer underneath it, not too dark, not too light, and fill in the background with a solid colour.
Tumblr media
(don't be fooled, I don't actually name my layers cause I'm way too lazy for that)
Since we're talking about digital painting here, my biggest tip would be to make a habit of picking the right colours manually, like you would an for an actual oil painting, instead of using the eyedropper tool on the source. Colour matching is an insanely useful skill, it's like relative pitch in music, or an accurate eye in architecture; while it's not absolutely necessary to have it, you'll want it if you want less burden on your brain and more freedom of expression. "Learn the rules to learn to break them" kind of thing (and you'll be able to match the colours to the picture in your head as well, how cool is that? Hehe) I've done this so much that at this point I just do it for the hell of it. It's very fun :D And, as you might've guessed, I do it for the entirety of the process, with some rare exceptions. While I used to do so in the past, I don't like to use blending modes (eg. soft light, overlay, multiply, etc.) for shading anymore. I find it takes all the excitement out of the whole process for the sake of cheap dopamine, and it used to hinder my skill development because I wasn't learning to "speak the language" of art, I just "used google translate", so to speak.
Anyways... A sketch, then a rough midtone colour layer underneath + background:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Another great tip: I learned it from a video on good costume design in fantasy, which is so unrelated to painting that you're probably like "wha- what..?", BUT... the tip was "the costumes don't have to be historically accurate, they just have to make sense in the story". Your colours don't have to match your reference perfectly, they just have to make sense inside the painting, and that's what will make your art feel alive (along with other things ofc).
Next I create another layer on top of all that and get to actually paint, and this is where the blocking part comes in.
There is a really good video on this subject if you want to learn this kind of technique, and an Instagram page of a different artist that I've been immensely admiring for some time now. Although now that I think about it, neither of them use midtones as a base... Anyway,
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I start with the darkest shadows, moving on towards lighter ones, noting some places where the they reflect more blueish/grayish tones of his uniform on his neck and jawline, and where they reflect the reddish environment on his nose, temple, cheek, ear, and neck.
Another great artist to help improve lighting skills.
I frequently make new layers on top of everything as I go, just so that I have some room for error and can delete them later if I'm not satisfied, and then merge them down if I am, because I hate being indecisive with too many changes, and having unnecessary clutter.
Sometimes if I don't like how a certain colour looks on the painting, I undo the stroke (or paint on top, if it's too late to undo) and just tweak it on the wheel until it looks right to my eye and move on. Eg. on the next screenshot, I didn't like how that blue from the sketch looked one the screenshot before, so I adjusted it a little with Hue/Saturation.
I also like to slightly exaggerate the palette so that it looks a bit more interesting:
Tumblr media
The last thing I usually do is light, with tiny highlights being the absolute last, because both are very easy to overdo. I manually pick the colour from the colour wheel, make a few strokes where it's supposed to be the brightest, and then use eyedropper tool to sample different spots from the freshly-painted areas to make it easier to blend.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now while that colour might look pretty light, it isn't light at all. To be fair, the difference between light and shadow isn't even that big sometimes. I used to overshoot with either of them in the past, picking either too light or too dark, and was frustrated and baffled why my painting was looking as shit as it was.
So I guess another tip: for lights, pick the colour much closer to your midtone than you think you need, and then adjust accordingly. The reason being: your eyes and brain are partners in crime and are constantly lying to you.
Tumblr media
The (I guess second) base is done, and at this point, it's just a matter of staring at his face for 2, or however long, hours and adding more and more strokes, sampling different spots between them, until I like how it looks.
Sometimes, if I realize that either the proportions are a bit off or some lines don't look the way they're supposed to, I use some Photoshop tools to my advantage. I merge everything together (cause at this point I really don't plan on changing the sketch itself or the background), and use Liquify to move things around. So now it's a one-layer painting, just like the real deal lol
And then I continue doing the same thing I'd done before with all the other parts.
Liquify on his face:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I only lightly paint over most sketch lines because I'm really not that concerned about some of them peeking out, especially at this stage, nor am I very pedantic.
Don't forget about subsurface scattering in areas where light meets shadow, of course:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If I see a place like this where I need a smooth gradient but don't feel like actually doing it cause it'll ruin the ~vibe~, and really, I just wanna add more a bit more pizzazz, I just take the pencil brush and hatch over it instead, alternating the darker and the lighter tones.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The caravat:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
A lot of the time professional artists will advise you to look for simple shapes in things - squares, circles, triangles, rhombuses, etc. I'm no exception. Simple shapes will let you see patterns and some sort of order. It's easier to understand complex shapes that way, whether it be fabric, faces/bodies, or inanimate objects.
As you can see here, my brain mostly likes to look for triangles, or half-circles. It just feels right 👌
Tumblr media
The wig:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I learned to use translucency, with hair and light fabrics fading into background, from watching and doing watercolour. Here's one of my all-time favourite watercolour artists that does that sometimes, and it looks absolutely stunning: 미술부화실 misulbu
The waistcoat and the jacket:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The hat:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Another thing to point out, if you haven't noticed already, I really like my stokes straight unlike myself, with exceptions, of course. It's another habit I picked up from watching other people draw, as well as my years of studying art professionally. Teachers taught me to use straight criss-crossing hatches to indicate form, instead of curved ones (there was a really cool tiktok showing that kind of technique, but I can't find it :(). Not that I follow their advice in its intended way majority of the time lololol but um... yeah...
So anyway, this is the end of part 1, I'll try to finish the second part tomorrow. It will be about smaller details, texture, and an tiiiny bit of 🔥grime🔥

I fucking adore your comic panelling, any advice on how to do it? Like specific ratios or ways to divide the page?
god there's so much advice i COULD give but i really dont wanna end up writing a book here. so I guess I'll say this: however you divide the page you should be CONSISTENT with it, i literally just learned/internalized this but it's made comic paneling soo much easier. when you break that consistency it will be more impactful. hold up lemme grab some pages.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
so i recently started making loose stitches a 4 tier comic. it's not the exact same for each page cuz i'm lazy but i think it's made legibility way better. before i think it was kinda uhhhhh a little all over the place. not BAD but a little difficult to tell where your eyes supposed to go sometimes. which isnt great for a commic.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
the page on the left in particular has always bothered me cuz i always read the top panels incorrectly and it's like. fuck man what is the paneling here why is it in two columns ????? that's so hard to understand. but the page on the right can be more or less easily understood (by someone who knows how to read comics) even without panel borders because it's just a simple 4 panel square.
one thing my comic professor really stressed was that he didn't like weird paneling or weird borders. for the most part, a square is fine. AND HE'S RIGHT. weird paneling is fun and cool but should be used sparingly or with intention, cuz if you do it too much then like. how tf are ppl gonna read your comic.
that being said there are a lot of cool ways to cut up panels even if they're just squares hold on lemme grab some examples
Tumblr media
so the panels here are all square but the image in the one at the bottom is almost like a mural. one thing i really like to using is a lot of heavy BLACK, what can i say silhouette's have my entire heart.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
in my fable comic, I used a 3 tier system. it wasn't the same exact size across all pages but all pages had 3 tiers of paneling. that way i can be a little more flexible with the SIZE of the panels to emphasize the more important things, without it feeling like it's all over the place
Tumblr media Tumblr media
meanwhile in my comic final i used a 4 tier system where each tier was nearly the same across every page, but you can collapse tiers together for establishing shots and big reveals so that they're more impactful. it's still fully within the grid system I set up so it doesn't feel like it's messing with shit either.
ok i just spent a lot of time rambling about this one particular concept and it's probably not even what you wanted to hear about :') i didnt even go into ratios or anythinggg guhhhh sowwy
other than all that i'd just say you gotta keep looking at what comic artists have written and take note of how they use space and cut things up. there's this book called How To Read Nancy and it has all these exercises for understanding the building blocks of nancy. for real the author is OBSESSIVE and goes through everything of a 3 panel nancy strip from body language to spot blacks to the minutia of the background. we used this book in my class and did some of the exercises in the back and i think it's really good at getting you to THINK about what you're drawing. and you can easily pirate it if you're broke.
also try to make sure things dont get stagnant on a page. zoom out if you're only doing close ups (i try to make sure every page of loose stitches has at least one full body shot even tho I'm lazy and wanna just do talking heads- talking heads arent interesting!!)
also, take advantage of the fact you're drawing a COMIC. you can do shit in comics that you can't do in other mediums, try to implement them when u can! ALSO PRACTICE. you're not gonna get better just by reading and watching. you gotta do it lol. ok ok that's enough and you didn't even ask for that stuff you asked about PANELING sfdasfsd byeee

Kingdom Hearts x Shugo Chara Mash Up!
Following on from the Amuto inspired princess carry Aquaroth pic from a while back, I had this random idea to doodle Aqua and some others basing the poses off Shugo Chara screenshots.
-cough cough, I realised a bit too late the initial Aqua profile drawing wasn't done and just went lazy mode on that one, forgive me-
It's my first time drawing a lot of them so pls be gentle with me. ><"
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I decided to just put the gifs alongside still frames bc I can't animate. So, you can just imagine it with me~
This anime was a big part of my childhood and a guilty pleasure of mine, I suppose - it has all the shoujo vibes that I enjoyed as a kid. (and still do now with certain things ( •̀ ω •́ )✧ )
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is not meant to be a KH/FF themed Shugo Chara AU (* ̄;( ̄ *)
As in, I'm not making an entire universe where the KH/FF characters replace the Shugo Chara ones and they have their own story or something. I just liked the cinematography of the first opening and wanted to do something with it.
That being said, I do see connections with Aqua and Amu; that whole thing of what you're expected to be and who you really want to be. Aqua, of course, always drowning in her own wishes to be "the good, responsible one".
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But...yeah! This was fun. >w< Some of my art I'm just like ._. but oh well.
I apologise if it made no sense, hahaha
I'm definitely going to be doing some more Amuto scenes from this anime with Aquaroth in a similar style so if you're keen on that, stay tuned >w>
Anyway, thanks for indulging me as usual. Hope you found this fun/interesting(?) idk ♪(´▽`)
Credits
Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy belong to Square Enix
Shugo Chara belongs to Peach Pit

Fic idea - natasha always stifles because thats what she was conditioned to do in the red room. Wanda or R is always trying to get to her stop but maybe one day she gets sick and is too tired to stifle anymore. I love ur writing btw ❤️
Let Them Out
Tumblr media
〚 Notes - I thought this req was really cute so hopefully you like this!! :D My reqs are still open too! 〛
〚 Pairing - Natasha Romanoff x Reader 〛
〚 Summary - Nat's got some bad habits. You help her to break one. 〛
〚 Wordcount - 940 〛
〘 Check Out My Masterlist! 〙
╚════════ ⋇⋆✦⋆⋇⋆✦⋆⋇ ════════╝
Natasha had some bad habits. Leaving her clothes on the floor, using up the last of your shampoo and biting her nails were just a few. The worst one in your mind however was when she stifled her sneezes.
The first time Nat had sneezed, you almost completely missed it. The two of you were spooning in bed one lazy morning when she suddenly tensed up and her head bobbed forward a little. Daresay if you’d had been a little bit more sleep you would’ve missed the whole thing altogether. But when she repeated the action again only a minute later you couldn’t stop yourself from asking about it.
“Natty?”
“Hmm?” She responded groggily.
“Are you okay?” You asked casually, slipping your hard round her waist and pressing your forehead into the back of her neck.
She was still half-asleep herself and she yawned widely as she turned over to face you, “Yeah, I’m fine, why?”
“Well, you just went like all tight?” You explained, what you had saw to the best of your abilities, looking curiously into those big emerald eyes of hers, “Y’know? When you bopped your head down?”
“Sorry I was sneezing,” Natasha let out a sheepish laugh, “I do that sometimes, y’know being a human being and all.”
You smiled at her response and snuggled closer to her, thinking it was just a harmless quirk. But as time went on, you noticed that she would always stifle her sneezes, even in public or around friends. It seemed like a small thing, but it bothered you for some reason. All that pressure couldn’t be good for her. But no matter how much you mentioned it to her, she couldn’t seem to break the habit.
That was until she got sick. You had both been on a mission in a particularly cold and damp environment and despite your best efforts, Natasha had come down with a nasty cold.
That evening, you were sitting on the couch together watching a movie when you heard a stifled sneeze from her. You turned to her with a worried look, "Natty, you should really let it out. It's not good for you to hold it in like that."
Natasha looked up at you with tired eyes and shook her head, "I'm fine, it's just a habit and I wouldn’t want to be gross, I’m already a walking germ factory.” She said, motioning to herself with her hand.
You couldn't help but feel frustrated at her response. "Natasha, you're sick. I wouldn’t care if even you accidently sneezed all over me, I just want you to take care of yourself."
She sighed and looked away, "I'm sorry, I just don't like people seeing me vulnerable, I guess. Plus, I think I’m just used to be being in the background and not drawing attention to myself."
You could understand that feeling, but you knew that she needed to take care of herself properly if she wanted to get better. You took her hand and gave it a gentle squeeze, "I know it's hard, but I'm here for you. You don't have to hide anything from me."
It was later that night when your advice had seemingly broken through. You were knelt by the edge of the bath, carefully washing her hair as the redhead soaked herself in the warm, comforting water of the bath when she suddenly pulled away, turning her head away as she finally let out 3 unstifled sneezes.
"H-hiisshhoo! Hh’iiishiew! Hh-Hh’iiishoo!”
You smiled at her, proud of her for finally allowing herself to let go. "Bless you sweetie. See, that wasn't so bad, was it?" You said, kissing the top of her head.
Natasha chuckled weakly, "No, I guess it wasn't."
From then on, she didn't try to stifle her sneezes anymore. She would let them out without any hesitation, and you could tell it was a relief for her. It was a small victory, but it was a start towards breaking down the walls she had put up around herself.
As Natasha's cold began to clear up, you noticed something else that was different about her. She seemed more open and vulnerable, willing to show you more of her true self. You didn't know if it was the sickness or if your talk had made a difference, but you were grateful nonetheless.
You wrapped your arms around her as she sat on the edge of the bed, wiping the last of the cold sweat from her forehead. "You know, I kinda like seeing you vulnerable," you said, smiling down at her.
Natasha smiled back, her eyes crinkling at the corners, "Yeah? Why's that?"
"Because it means you trust me enough to let your guard down," you replied, leaning down to kiss her softly.
Natasha leaned into the kiss, her hand coming up to cup your cheek, "I do trust you," she said softly. "More than anyone else."
You pulled back to look at her, a warm feeling spreading in your chest. "I trust you too, Natty," you said, before leaning in to kiss her again.
"Thank you," she said, giving you a grateful smile when you pulled back from her lips.
"You don't have to thank me," you replied, "I'll always be here for you."
Natasha leaned in and kissed you gently, "I know," she whispered, "And I'll always be grateful for that."
And as for her bad habit of stifling her sneezes, well, that was a thing of the past. She had finally learned to let it all out, even if it meant being a little gross or vulnerable. And you loved her all the more for it.

(click for slightly better quality :] )
fanart for solving counting sheep by @theminecraftbee! super super proud of this one :D i absolutely loved this fic! did not stop thinking about it for days. spectacular job.
timelapse here! tw: flashing. please watch it I had such a hard time getting it to upload :(
fun info/rambling about the piece below the cut!
a few little details i wanted to point out:
in case it was hard to tell what was going on, grian is in the top center, watcher three is in the middle, as well as at the bottom, but it is unmasked and a little feathery.
i have intentionally placed the yarn, the sheep and mumbo on the left hand side. they represent the things that help three begin to solidify its identity. oppositely, on the right hand side we have pearl holding the album, the photograph and candles, grian's gravestone, and the main building of the grian empire. they represent parts of three's old identity as grian.
the red is of course, three/grian's favourite colours, but also there to symbolise the sort of duality between the two? (hopefully that makes sense.) as well as the symbolism of the unmasked three being red is that its kinda like? trying to reconcile its old identity with its new one. it is holding its masquarade mask - it is three, it is grian, it is three. the red three is also slightly feathery to show that it looks like grian, but is not anymore, it is something else now.
also, pearl, martyn and jimmy all have some sort of red accent, which is to show their ties to grian.
i know jimmy's scarf is red and green, however, it wouldve messed the colour palette up :( so it's all red! martyn's headband probably wasn't red either, but shh, i took some ahh creative liberties
there's no particular reason for jimmy's wings other than that i needed to fill space and i love drawing butterfly/bug wings.
i was gonna try to tie in something about the listeners (like a symbol or something) but didn't bother to look too hard.
the album might not have said 'evo' on it, but i'm too lazy to go and dig that back up right now. it may get edited later to be more accurate.
the dragon pillars/purple background in the top are there to represent the dragon fight in which grian was taken from and 'killed.' the watcher eyes placed within the purple burst is to show how they were there.
similarly, there are watcher wings along the top edge of the piece. a certain set of them are 'watching' the grian empire, as a nod to how they had their eyes on grian and evo from the start.
there are also three dragon pillars, as a nod to three the person, and also because it was nice and symmetrical that way.
i initially had the middle three wearing the masquarade mask (as you'll see in the timelapse) but realised it made way more sense symbolically to have the lower three holding the mask, and for the middle three to have the watcher mask.
iiii don't know how to draw sheep. (<- too lazy to look it up) i hope that sheep looks somewhat sheeplike.
minor changes may be made if i notice any mistakes / small things i want to fix
overall, very, very happy with this! i hope i did the fic enough justice :D go read it if you haven't!!

Misaki Shirayama
26 y.o | 1.52 cm | Japanese | April 4th | Aries
(APH) Human | City Ver. | Colorful AU | BOX AU
Tags: #Art/HC tag | #Posts related to her | #MisAme
Wanted to do a profile for her here 💦 Misaki has been one of my fave oc's since 2012 and i'm having fun drawing her a lot again, and I love to put her in my other oc's stories 💃 so here's info of her hetalia AU(?
i wrote everything in spanish and im lazy to translate it properly so, google translator yay
| Personality
Introverted | Temperamental | Stubborn | Agressive | Kind | Caring
Misaki is a young woman with a fiery personality, she has little patience for stupidity. She is a hard worker, and likes to put effort into what she likes. She is also stubborn when it comes to opinions if it is not her way she will not do it, she tends to violence when someone bothers her. Her pride is something precious to her.
Despite this, when she gets upset she needs her time to calm down and then apologize. Even so, Misaki is a girl who cares about others, her way of showing her appreciation is through actions, especially cooking.
Socially inept, having lived surrounded by “nations” Misaki behaves awkwardly with other humans, for some reason she always feels distant and finds it difficult to understand them.
Having grown up with nations, Misaki did not develop “parental affection” or someone to consult her problems with, because she considered that Japan would not fully understand her.
He usually feels a constant feeling of loneliness, his heart is a hard shell that makes it difficult for him to let in emotions like love.
| BACKGROUND (Hetalia AU)
Strip about her background
In this AU, Misaki was raised by Japan who took care over her as she was abandonated. Her childhood was kinda chaotic, surrounded by nations of course she didn't grow like other kids, she felt distanced.
Japan tried his best to give her a normal life, of course he wasn't used to raise a kid. Misaki always wondered why did he took her? He felt lonely? She would never know.
She always had a sense of loneliness, a feeling of she doesn't belong where she is. Mother? Father? What's that, she only had "weird uncles"
Misaki was very problematic at school, her classmates teased her a lot and she answered back with violence.
Through her adolescence, she kinda developed a crush on Yao, and she was rejected, of course, the man only saw her as a little sister.
More about it here.
Time heals, she tried to moved on. On Uni, she meet a guy named Kazuo, they clicked and became a couple, Misaki thought that finally had someone who cared for her deeply, but no. The guy cheated on her. That was the point that made her close herself.
-> She lives alone in an old traditional house that Japan left for her, she works as botanic in a national park in Kyoto.
| Interests and facts
She LOVES gardering and plants. She has a traditional garden on her house and it's her first priority.
She's very good at cooking, Japan and China taught her very well.
Also Romano as shared with her some italian recipes so she could "learn something good"
Her way to show love is giving you food.
Her dream is to open her own restaurant.
One of her interests are kimonos, she likes to make her own
Favorite station is autumn, she loves when trees go orange.
Loves cats, and bunnies, loves cute things.
She likes minimalist clothing, plain clothes or stripped patterns
Her face may look annoyed but she's kind, and gets along better with girls.
She has been mistaken for a minor
Does she feel something for Alfred?? who knows.
She's just afraid to someone break into her heart and get too attatched.
| RELATIONSHIPS
I made this chart
