Okay gonna analyse some common Duke beliefs just for quick and easy reference. Some of these are up to interpretation (as indicated), but these are some common things I see that aren't quite accurate to Duke as a character.

Claim: Duke started We Are Robin

True or false: False. Alfred started We Are Robin, and the entire core cast of We Are Robin was already there before Duke.

Claim: We Are Robin is a gang

True or false: kind of tricky? They're technically a gang in the most general sense of the word, but 'gang' has racial implications that I think people gloss over (We Are Robin is primarily composed of kids of colour). Movement is a much better term, and We Are Robin doesn't self-identify as a gang to my knowledge.

Claim: Duke led We Are Robin

True or false: tricky. While Robin War has him as the leader, for the majority of Duke's time in We Are Robin he does not give orders or act like a leader at all. We Are Robin generally doesn't have a leader. Duke certainly has leadership abilities, but WAR is not the best showcase of them. Up to personal interpretation though.

Claim: Duke is a Wayne

True or false: False. Duke is not adopted.

Claim: Duke is intimidated/scared of any Batfamily member

True or false: FALSE!!! There is unfortunately some horrible comic writing, but for the VAST MAJORITY of Duke's appearances he is not scared of any Batfam member. He's certainly not afraid of Damian, Jason, or Cass.

Claim: Duke can emit light

True or false: probably?? His powers are constantly in flux and he develops new abilities all the time, so who knows. But he is much more likely to use light to turn invisible/manipulate his perception of light than attack with them (for which he can use his shadow powers). Up to personal interpretation/fun headcanons.

Claim: Duke jumped out of a cop car

True or false: True, but it's a Tom King comic and he's written horribly in it. If you want another example of him not being the 'sane one', I recommend using the time he got shot by a bullet and thought about how baller it was.

Claim: Duke is new to the Batfamily and doesn't know their dynamics

True or false: Please stop 😭 It's been like a decade since his introduction there's no need to make him the clueless newbie. Also he's a fiercely intelligent detective who makes references to Jason's daddy issues, there's no way he's still in the dark about most of their relationships.

Claim: Duke tends to obey Bruce's orders

True or false: FALSE. Duke sneaks out even during his training days, and for the most part operates independently. He generally has a grudge against authority of all kinds.

Claim: Duke is very sunshine-y, bright, and optimistic

True or false: False. I get where this one is coming from (sunshine boy is cute I love it), but while his powers are light-based, his personality is not. He's pragmatic, rude, skeptical, and often disillusioned. He is an optimist in the sense that he believes in community and change, but he's nowhere near a bright, bubbly kid.

Claim: He's the normal one AND/OR he's just as crazy as the other bats

True or false: Both of these are somewhat false. Duke is not the normal/sane one, he's literally a vigilante how would that make sense. But he also thinks of himself as more normal than the others (at least at one point). Duke discourse should move on from this debate, both these statements obscure what makes Duke unique and interesting.

Claim: Duke designed his Signal outfit

True or false: False. This isn't really a belief I just see people assuming he designed it, he didn't though, Bruce gave it to him. There's no indication he had a hand in the design. Bruce actually gave him TWO designs, I think Bruce just loves giving him outfits tbh.

Claim: Duke's parents are still under the Joker toxin

True or false: Technically false. His mom was healed in Urban Legends #19, but Duke's sporadic appearances mean this was never really followed up on. I have no clue what happened to Doug. Up to DC to SAY SOMETHING ABOUT THIS!!!

Claim: Anything to do with his portrayal in WFA

True or false: False. Literally everything. (The only, and I do mean only, thing to take from WFA is his interactions with Damian)

2. Yeah lol- tons. Too many. Here’s a few (okay like 25 oops) off the top of my head lol, some serious/angsty and some lighthearted/kinda stupid without any real order. (Lotta ‘em are about Steve tbh -there’s so little to him in canon that I have the freedom to hc pretty much whatever I want)

Steve Randle’s nearsighted and has no idea, which is why he’s literally always squinting. (I’ve had that one for like months but only recently mentioned it on here lol.) Steve thinks his vision is completely normal

Dally and Sylvia genuinely cared for each other, but they were both so horrible at having healthy emotions that they just made each other worse. In a bad way, not a fun way.

When Steve gets kicked out, sometimes he hangs with Johnny in the lot. They don’t really talk about anything important like their shared experiences of having lousy parents. Instead they talk about cars, girls, music, school…lighthearted stuff. Sometimes Johnny will find Steve crying, which he never mentions- he’ll just sit down as per usual, which Steve appreciates. Steve almost never finds Johnny crying though. Johnny doesn’t cry much.

Okay tangent- I love how Steve and Johnny are low-key foils. Like Steve always seems tough but then cries when pushed to his limit, while Johnny always seems skittish until he’s under a bunch of pressure- in which case he suddenly is confident. (Not necessarily thriving obviously, but confident yk? Like grinning while saving those kids in the fire.) I know SE Hinton probably didn’t intend that at all, but it’s just such an interesting detail to me. One of these days I’ll put it into words better

Johnny’s jeans-jacket is a hand-me-down from either Steve or Two-Bit. (I can’t decide which lol) (obviously Dally would make sense too, but honestly I think it’d add more depth to flesh out Johnny’s relationships with the other members of the gang)

After the events of the book, Two-Bit starts hanging around the Curtis’s place even more. At first the gang assumes he’s trying to lighten the mood. It’s only after he gets sent to the cooler for a month due to drunk driving that they realize he was actually hanging around so much because he was trying to keep his kid sister from seeing him so drunk…

Two-Bit likes to joke that he keeps failing junior year so that him and his sister can graduate together. Which is a very bad idea since his sister is a year younger than Ponyboy.

Sodapop often feels like he’s only good for looking pretty and not all that useful or interesting otherwise. He likes himself, but when he stops to think about it too much, he starts to wonder if he really has anything going for him at all

My H/C for Steve’s home life is that his Mom is sick w/ like cancer or something. Before she got sick, Steve’s life was pretty alright for an eastsider- he and his dad fought, but they always made up for the most part. They weren’t perfect, but they loved each other. But after she got sick, she wasn’t there to mediate between Steve and his Dad anymore, and the fighting got worse and worse. And then Steve’s dad started drinking more and it was pretty downhill from there. Steve’s Dad still loves him, but sometimes Steve wishes that he didn’t. If he didn’t, then he could hate him. But his dad does love him, so he can’t get himself to.

Steve and Dally taught Johnny to drive when they were all like fourteen-fifteen-ish. Johnny is a very reckless driver. He loves speeding.

Johnny also loves fast roller coasters and stuff.

Dally doesn't ‘cuz he’s low-key scared of heights- he likes riding broncos and rodeos, but put him at the top of a roller coaster and he’s convinced that it’s gonna break and he’s gonna die. He pretends he doesn’t mind. The only people who know he’s scared of them are Johnny, and before she died, Mrs. Curtis.

Steve has a napoleon complex. Johnny, who is shorter than him by a few inches, likes to bully him for it sometimes

Ponyboy and Cherry don’t interact much in the school year after the book, but in the summer after, they start to hang out. Eventually they become pretty close. They fangirl over Paul Newman together

Ponyboy still doesn’t let Cherry read his theme though until years later

Marcia and Two-Bit re-meet a few months after the book. (Two-Bit is really scared that she’s embarrassed to be dating him, and Marcia is really scared that he’s embarrassed to be dating her. Neither of them are embarrassed. They both adore each other.)

Two-Bit likes to watch Marcia barrel racing. One time while he’s there, he runs into Ponyboy watching Cherry barrel race and immediately tells everyone much to Pony’s chagrin

Evie knows a little bit about cars, and she sometimes helps out at the DX during summers. Steve is so whipped for her lol (and Soda too Steve has two hands)

Evie and Sylvia are besties, but Steve and Sylvia hate each other. They act civil in front of Evie, but as soon as her back is turned they’re growling at each other like dogs. (Well Steve is. Sylvia just acts condescending as hell. Sometimes it goes over his head, so Steve knows she’s insulting him but isn’t sure what the insult is/means. Which makes Steve kinda want to kill her.)

Steve and Soda are low-key co-dependent. (Steve more so- Soda has his family at least, while to Steve, Soda and Evie are his whole world pretty much) It’s probably not super healthy, and both of them are vaguely aware of that, but are trying not to think about it too hard rn

Ponyboy’s friend group in high school consists of Curly Shepard, Mark Jennings, Scout Jenkins (from the tv show), and eventually, in her senior year, Cherry Valance. (There’s others too but those are the main ones.)

Pony dates Cathy Carlson for a while too, idk if they’re good for each other or not- I kinda like the idea of them being a sweet couple tbh, but no one else on here seems to care about them so I haven’t really explored the idea much lol

In a Dally lives au, Mark Jennings and Dally end up spending a bit of time together through Pony, and at some point they realize that they’re half-brothers lol. Mark is a deeply obnoxious little brother to have, and he drives Dally nuts on purpose. Weirdly I think Dally’s a relatively good influence on him, as much as someone like Dally can be. And Dally does care for Mark, though not as much as he cares for Johnny- Mark is, in his head, not exactly his responsibility.

Well I have (so many) more, but I think that’s enough for now lol. Point is, even though I haven’t drawn in a minute, I love these characters and their romanticized version of 1960s Tulsa so much and I think about them way too often lol

So PTJ, with his fondness for SAD backstories cooked up one for Gun. And while it's not terrible and I didn't get food poisoning, it's tasting a bit bland because everyone is getting a SAD backstory and it's getting old y'know?

Onto the chapter-

Everyone is in love with Daddy Yamazaki, and for some reason that is bad and all the ladies chop their pinkies off to idk repent for their sins or something but even though the relationship appears to be consensual because he's had sex consensually with them all, it's still the women's fault.

In the end, the great big kind man that Daddy Yamazaki is lets them all carry his kids. Thank the heavens.

Daddy Yamazaki has Smaller Bro Yamazaki who also has a son btw (Haruto) - this is sort of important but it's hard to really feel much for them cos the son character (Haruto) has just been introduced in this chapter and will be likely killed off soon.

Anyway, I digress.

All the babies born are unimpressive so far. And you may think wtf how are babies unimpressive. Babies are just babies. Well, that's because Gun comes whooshing out the (Korean) womb with UI. Bro has built in UI from the start, kinda an impossible standard to reach so fine I get why the other babies are unimpressive.

Although if all the babies are unimpressive apart from Gun, the common denominator here is Daddy Yamazaki so maybe everyone should point the finger at him instead. Hmmm.

The chapter fast forwards to show Gun is a prodigy, he masters his training. He's only five and a kid, so he plays around with his friend but gets slapped by his mother for being a kid because it's not becoming of a future gang leader.

So even though he's FIVE, he still gets told to 'act accordingly' lol.

I think there's another timeskip, or PTJ really has lost the plot and forgotten what five year olds look like (tbh he has forgotten what 'elementary school' aged kids look like too) and Gun, genius that he is and following his mother's words takes down all the gangs in ONE DAY. WHEW.

But, PTJ is trying to desperately show it's nurture not nature. Gun wanted normal things but has been moulded to become a monster.

Gun's mother praises him for his violence and his deeds, and Gun wonders 'Huh, if mother dearest loves when I fight, and I must fight to be loved, what happens if I'm violent towards her?'. He punches her and gets praised for it.

Please see above point.

And another fast forward in time (presumably) to Gun trying to squish butterflies like the maniac he is.

Anyway, remember Smaller Bro Yamazaki's kid, Haruto, that was mentioned? Well he's the only one throughout that looked at Gun as if he was normal and told Gun he was free to do as he wants. He doesn't have to fight. Or have to be a leader if he doesn't wanna.

And sweet lil Gun doesn't really wanna, so he makes up his mind and tells Smaller Bro Yamazaki.

Smaller Bro Yamazaki loses his shit and is all who the fuck told you this nonsense. Gun snitches on Haruto, and this snitch doesn't get stitches and instead Haruto does when Smaller Bro Yamazaki tells Gun to kill Haruto. His own father tells Gun to kill HIS kid!

Dun dun dun CLIFFHANGER!

Overall very sad, very unfortunate. But please see my first point about PTJ's cooking.

I'm assuming in the coming chapters Haruto gets killed off. I would be super surprised if he doesn't because Gun, despite me being delusional and thinking he's just a sweet lil blorbo, is something of a murderous psychopath. It's more fitting of his character if he just kills off Haruto even if he has a moment of hesitation or any regrets.

Your tmnt au meeting Monkey kid and the gang?

I think you're talking about my 2012 TMNT designs? Which I understand, theyre really far from canon HELPP but they're not really an au 😭 or they were never really meant to be. Anyways I have a lot of thoughts and I could explain why I picked each character and paired them up with each other and if I can I'll definitely draw the rest of them!!

I'll explain right now why I paired Mei with Donnie and Tang with April

First and foremost though,

With that out of the way I'll start with why I paired Mei and Donnie. I like to think that Mei is a super good builder and tbh, this is actually pretty canon. We see her rebuild her bike in S1 Ep 3 and in S1 Ep1 she's also the one who builds their secret fortress which is INCREDIBLY made. With this information in mind it can be quick to assume Mei is a pretty good mechanic! In S3 of 2012 TMNT we know that Casey and Donnie spend a lot of time in the small barn out back working on stuff both seperately and at times together! While I do think Casey can understand some of the tech jargon Donnie talks about (as long as it relates to car parts) I don't think Casey can really understand the technical stuff. I think Casey's knowledge probably comes from self taught experience, as a result he can identify each part and what they do but not the technical terms for them and professional blueprints for things and stuff. Which is why I think Donnie would be absolutely ecstatic to have someone able to read his work!! And like I said earlier Mei is really good with tech as we see a lot in the earlier seasons before they delved hard into mystic magic and stuff. I would have paired Mei with Casey but I have other ideas grrr!!! If people are interested I'll explain more.

Moving on to why I paired Tang with April! I kinda rewrote April a lot HELP I think her writing had a lot of problems so I just changed stuff lol. I like to think that the reason April tried so hard to prove herself and stuff was because she doesn't want to be useless. I feel like she gets sorta babies a lot (mainly by her father) and it makes her want to overachieve to prove a point, prove that she's grown and that she's perfectly capable of handling herself. The problem though is the years of fighting experience she lacks. In a normal situation April can 100% take care of herself but in ones where she faces opponents with a lifetime's experience in combat versus her measily 1 and a half years the difference is huge. And on top of this April has to figure out her psychic powers, which in S4 literally blew up in her face. I just think she struggles with feeling inadequate, when she does something she wants to be the best and it's hard for her to feel like she has a place in the team when everyone else seems not to struggle the way she does in battle. She just tends to forget the difference in fighting experience even though they're all the same age. Anyways, being unsure of ur worth on the team and struggling with your powers seems like it would be right up Tang's alley!! Tang in S3 Ep8 has a huge tipping point where we see he struggles with self doubt and feeling like he isn't needed. Then later when he discovers he has powers he struggles to control them and get them to do what he wants. I think Tang reassuring April is just a really nice gesture!! Especially since Tang and April are like the most human out of the rest of the group (excluding Casey but he struggles in a different way). I think in a group full of spectacular talents, it's easy to feel ordinary which is a thought I think plagues Tang and April's minds while their characters develop. I tried to keep this short so I hope it makes sense ahhh if you're still reading you're totally awesome and cool!!!

I had some time to let my thoughts marinate and watched the episode again, and I would say we're off to a good start! Some things I liked or noticed:

What it is with Lila's notebooks in the opening scene. Is she writing a novel. Is all of this just a ploy to get clout on ao3

Love love LOVE Marinette's room and all the little details - her room has always been so cool, but I feel like it's elevated by the redesign. She has a Molly Ringwald-Teen Movie Bedroom-Windowsill now ❤

RE: The intro - I DO like that they kept the song! Would've been very jarring to have a new tune, but I feel like keeping the music wraps it up really nicely. Love the Adrinette cuteness and OUGH OUGH OUGH the shot with Gabriel in the background. Sinister, I love it. I won't lie, I WILL miss the shot that's now the LadyNoir fist bump and Adrinette kiss when it used to be Chat Noir going in for a kiss and then the two of them tumbling over each other, mostly because it used to be the essence of the Lovesquare and thus the show. I totally get though why they had to change it up -different premise with Adrinette in a relationship and all- and the way the still kept the switcheroo was nicely done.

on, and they kept the black cat in the intro. points for that.

Marinette being a disaster is so, so comforting to me. Yes, give us the statistics about Hawkmoth, order shrimp macarons, hide your face in your tiny purse girl, I love you!!!! And her cat ear slippers <3

I need a moment to gush about the new animation, because, DAMN. It's both the small details (the pattern and texture of Alya's glasses) and and the scenery (Paris actually looking like a populated city with a beautiful variety of both people and unique buildings????). Idk it's just really, really nice. The character models are mostly an upgrade and look a tad older while still keeping the original vibe. The expressions are also better, especially for the supporting cast. The lighting is gorgeous! AND THE AKUMATIZATIONS!!!! HELLO!!! THEY LOOK SO COOL

Adrien is a sad exception to my praise but I think the less we talk about it the faster we will all collectively get used to it lol

I also think the direction and camera work has gotten a lot better - the fighting scenes looked cool and we got interesting camera angles.

The integration of 2D animation is neat! The chibis are very cute and serve a purpose. I do hope they keep adding 2D elements and not just as illustrations as they used to do in former seasons. I mean, this is such a fun shot:

Storywise it was a decent episode! not much to say here tbh, I liked the DJ Wifi sideplot (and THEM overall, bestest couple).

Loooooved the trash collecting scene, reminded me of Gang of Secrets Ladynoir after their break-ups. I need them to talk/gossip to each other about their relationship(s) in every episode hehe. I do miss flirty Ladynoir but seeing them again is auauauuaghhh. Adrien seeing Ladybug out and about and he's smiling!!!!!!!!!! I love Ladynoir so much

We didn't get much about Adrien's situation from this (apart from the fact that he's allowed to leave the house lol) but the sadness in his eyes…. and him taking the blame for Adrinette's communication issues…. my sweet, sweet boy 🙁

Referring back to this post - yeah, that's Lila/Cerise/Iris in the café, drinking a diabolo menthe (Diabolo -> diabolos in Greek: slanderous, libellous -> Girliepop is ready to stir up things). She's gonna be wherever Marinette goes, causing trouble, I assume.

things I'm curious about:

the timeline: is it still summer vacation? I would assume so, since Marinette and Alya have yet another sleepover and they're meeting the boys in the morning (?). School probably hasn't started yet this season.

Kagami and Marinette: Their (very, very brief) interaction seemed normal. I expected Kagami to be conflicted due to their conversation in the London Special, tbh, but then again, it was a very brief interaction. We'll see.

Carapace using shelter twice in one battle: Did all heroes "grow up"? Did it happen on-screen in episode 1 or should we just assume they all have unlimited powers?

the Kwagatama: I mean, we don't need to talk about the obvious implication (memory loss, Tales-of-LB-and-CN-theory), but I'm kinda wondering about other possible scenarios this may lead to.

HEY GANG!! So general update and explanation of a lot of stuff cuz WWOO

I have. Not been doing so hot. Went into a bit of a depressive slump: staying inside, doing nothing all day, procrastinating ect

I've been putting off a bunch of stuff that sort of all came to a head yesterday, considering a lot of my deadlines and stuff are for this week. (By "deadlines" I mean points that I assumed I would have everything done by, y'know? Like "oh by my birthday I'll have a clean room" or "oh by results day I will have sorted out xyz") I had a teeny weeny worst meltdown I've ever had which was a bit of a wake-up call, y'know? I can't keep going like I have been.

SO I've actually decided to take a bit of a mental health break. A lot of big stuff is happening in my life and I need the space to sort everything out + take care of myself.

I'm gonna take a step back from rp for about a week, I might update one account, but I won't be engaging in any major events, y'know? I just don't really have the mental space to deal with it all. If I rp I wanna keep it light, no pressure. Just like- answering silly asks or something.

ALSO these next few days I am gonna be offline a lot more. That was gonna happen anyway tbh cuz GANG!! I'M TURNING 16 ON MONDAY!! AAAAAAA!!!!

i actually get so mad when i think about that the majority of the red dead fan base actually thinks molly did something wrong. like why is it more normal to be an arthur apologist than it is for a character who GENUINELY did nothing wrong.

a common point to make is that she never helped with the gang (which is stupid tbh because by that logic uncle deserves death then) but she was never expected to, at least not by dutch. dutch did so well at effectively isolating her from the entirety of the outside world and then isolating her AGAIN from the entire gang and eventually even removing himself from her supports. leaving her with no one, no place to run aside from with the gang, and no idea how to handle herself in a world of outlaws AND MIGHT I ADD- as an IRISH WOMAN IMMIGRANT IN HER 20'S!!!!!

people act like her lying about being a rat somehow still makes her a rat and tbh! i just think you hate women!! milton himself said she never said shit and honestly- she should have. but she kept her mouth shut and stayed loyal to an entire group of people that didn't even notice nor care when she would lie on the floor crying and eventually just ran off.

if you hate molly i'm just assuming you hate women atp. do you have to love her? no. but if you have some indescribable hatred and stupid "theories" that jump narrative logic and still paint her as the rat to me that's definitely some underlying misogyny at work. molly LITERALLY never did anything wrong, not just a like "ohhh they're my fav ignoring the horrors i love them." there is nothing that she did in her situation that could be construed as wrong. dutch was manipulating her and had so much power over her in a myriad of ways. the way she responded was completely valid. people act like she's hysterical (cough cough misogyny) but she was being completely reasonable for her situation.

what do you think would have happened if Timpani hadn't found Blumiere at the base of the cliff and he would have died? do you think the prophecy would have still happened? if yes, then do you happen to have any theories about who would have carried it out and would they have succeeded?

So this is a very difficult question! The topic of the prophecies in the Dark Prognosticus is just in general one of the more trivial things to consider.

So let's go through over the main scenario: Blumiere falls from a cliff and is probably hidden well under the rubble. Timpani, who happens to be in the area, can't really see anyone under the scarp because of the dirt and rocks so she assumes the pieces fell naturally due to a small earthquake or wind and there's no one there. While she walks away, Blumiere unfortunately is too weak to make it out of the rubble and ultimately dies.

Now...

What would this mean for Timpani and the Tribe of Darkness specifically? Well first of all, neither of them would end up dead/gone.

It is implied through the short snippets of the main villians backstory (which appear in-between chapters) that ultimately after losing his beloved and becoming Count Bleck, Blumiere wipes out his clan, which is rather gruesome but not unexpected for this game tbh. With him dissapearing instead (cause theres a chance they might've not even found him) everyone in the Tribe lives and he himself would be portrayed as an innocent person until the end, the loss of whom only brought sorrow to his family and friends. Other than that the civilization would still thrive for years to come.

As for Timpani: without having met Blumiere, she would've probably spent her days living a normal daily life, not even knowing someone like him ever existed. She could expand her hobbies, travel, make friends etc. She could even find a partner but... it wouldn't be the same and I'll elaborate on that in a bit. In general she would have had more time to discover herself and enjoy the little things.

What does this mean for the prophecy?

The Dark Prognosticus is kinda weird because it describes the future that relies on the book being read. Basically it knows that it will be opened, but because it will be opened the prophecy will happen in the first place, which it also knows. It gets confusing when you think about it too much. In any case the 'end of the world' requires someone to kickstart all the events.

Blumieres and Timpanis love was a very rare kind of love, an extremely strong and dedicated one. And if not for that fact, Bleck wouldn't probably go as far as to destroying everything just for her sake. Now without our specially picked out Champion of Destruction, would it even be possible for the prophecy to happen? As we said before if the Count died at the cliff, the book would absolutely know about it. With this in mind there are 3 options as I see it:

The prophecy couldn't be fulfilled/it wouldn't exist in this timeline. Basically: There was no other person that could play the role of the catalyst nor had the means to obtain the Prognosticus/didn't know it existed and so the danger never arrived and everyone lived happily ever after. (yipie no trauma for the Mario gang and especially Luigi yahoo)

The prophecy could be fulfilled by a new character who also fits the requirements and basically fills in for Count Bleck. Simply put: the book found someone else good for the role and it all plays out as written. This is where the plot is up to interpretation because there are just too many factors to take into consideration.'Who would reach out for help to Mario?', I don't know, maybe this new character could also be doing this for the sake of someone else I and that's who would be our Timpani replacement or something I guess.'Would Mimi and O'Chunks be there to help?', probably not because the reason they joined in on the plan in the first place is specifically tied to the person that the Count was. But you know who would definitely be there?

Technically we don't really need a new character and it's going to be a little obvious who I'm about to mention. The prophecy is much more altered in this scenario, and it basically revolves about Dimentio carrying it all out. So from the gossip you get from the barista about everyone on Team Bleck it is implied that Dimentio was the one who actively sought out the Count, not the other way around. From this we can deduce that he was aware of the Dark Prognosticus's existence and was out to get it by all means. Out of the known to us characters he'd really be the one person who would end up tied to the fate of the book in most cases. So in this scenario he simply steals the book from the tribe and tries to work it out by himself. 'Would he be able to carry it out alone?' I'd say there's a chance he could do it. Being built on deceipt and using others he might've been able to work from the shadows and make his way to the end goal. 'How would Mario learn about it?' Again, I don't know. It's up to the ones interpretation really. Imagine if Dimentio just goes around taking people who have the slightest trace of green on them and thus becomes like this underground villain and no-one knows anything him about other than his existence. He's like this rumour that people like to scare kids with. One day Mario hears about it, laughs it off then Luigi randomly dissapears and the chase is on, during which the red plumber learns about this mysterious figure and it's intentions bit by bit and theres like a side Peach and Bowser plot which ends with Dimentio taking up a fake persona and tricking them into saying their vows to create the Chaos Heart IDK.

I could try writing up a specific scenario for this but it'd require more time to plan out if I were to actually do it, I'd basically be writing a completely new story which tends to be difficult. (I'm currently trying my hand in writing a spm fic based on the 'Bad End Trio' Luigi design of mine and barely reached over 2k words. I'm not even near done and it's already been taking way longer than I thought it would. That's exactly why I very much respect writers.)

kinda coincides with my previous post but within the parry community i kinda see a lot of discourse over “oh soul would be emotionally abusive!” “oh paul would be an absolute gentleman!” and honestly? i don’t really agree with either? at least not fully.

this is just my opinion btw you don’t have to agree with it and i frankly don’t care if you agree or don’t agree because this is a post solely for my own opinion to be stated but

with paul and darry being together, i think that paul would be somewhat emotionally abusive, but not intentionally. let’s look at soc home lives. again, socs aren’t depicted as having caring families, nor are they depicted as having a found family like the greasers do. and i don’t think paul is an exception. i think paul probably grew up with emotionally neglectful parents, and he grew up with parents who weren’t always there for him. i have personal headcanons about paul’s home life (i think his mom was kinda neglectful and wa star one to never tell him no while his dad did business and used to come home and would be emotionally abusive towards paul but anyway that’s obviously not canon, that’s just me) but i think that any and all emotional manipulation and abuse would be a learned behavior and something paul assumed was normal. look at all the socs . none of them are saints. none of them are gonna tell each other “maybe that’s fucked up” because it’s normalized to them.

i guess what i’m getting at is i don’t think paul would be an incredible boyfriend-not because he was abused, don’t think that in saying that, but i think that through both enduring said abuse and like bob, wanting to be told no, while also just being in the environment he’s in, he never really learned that his abuse was in fact, abuse, and carrying on those behaviors wasn’t normal.

obviously i think that given that darry lived with his parents and had a found family he recognized it right away and tried to work with paul but it kinda all just went to shit because paul gets REALLY defensive and such.

another thing i’ve seen is that people disagree on whether or not paul would get along with the rest of the readers and honestly i can’t really see it. again, paul hasn’t found a chosen family so he doesn’t really understand. the social class thing is also a big divisor and i think that darry wasn’t your stereotypical grease, which was why he got along so well with paul. however, i cannot see him getting along with someone like two bit or steve, who are your more stereotypical greasers. even long and sods like to them he’s a stereotypical soc and to him they’re just greasers. he’s never been kind to the greasers and i don’t think that the curtis gang is an exception.

again, this is just my opinion, you don’t have to agree, i don’t care if you do or don’t (don’t come at me though like i’m not looking to fight) but tbh this is just me looking into how these kinds of environments affect someone.

DBD knight and his squad vs. the original 4 FH knights who wins? (My money is on the FH gang because they actually take care of their gear and they have BOMBS)

I put way too much thought about this here so for the sake of people who don't care I'm gonna put it under a readmore.

Because like, in DBD, the cosmetics for Knight show that under the influence of The Entity, he can essentially fight forever, with his Draugr skin showing that despite being basically being a walking corpse he can still operate with his full mental faculties and power.

Plus, his Squad that he can summon at will is shown to be spectral, capable of phasing through walls and shit at will, but also becoming physical to interact with shit

However, as implied by the item description for the Enchanted Plates cosmetic, this is only in The Entity's realm. Yes, he is suffused with eldritch power, yes he can fight beyond death, and yes, he can resummon his squad if they are Banished but only in The Entity's Realm, it doesn't have the level of power it does outside of it, and most likely wouldn't be able to imbue Tarhos with the power it does.

However despite this, Tarhos Kovács is still a massive hulking man in heavy armor with a huge sword and considerable battle skills.

Now here's the thing though

For Honor's minions are implied to be like, normal average people. As a result of this every For Honor character, therefore, is fucking huge. Plus like, all of them are really good at fighting In Lore:tm:

So without the help of an eldritch god of suffering, it turns into a 4v4 that's pretty heavily in favor of the For Honor knights, by virtue of them just being bigger, stronger, more heavily armored than 3/4ths of their opposition and just flat-out better equipped than the whole group

However in the entity's realm, with the help of an eldritch god of suffering supporting the shit out of one side of the fight, especially letting Knight resummon his boys, that definitely fucks with the balancing somewhat

But here's the thing

See, For Honor had a crossover event with dbd once upon a time, (I've still got a couple of the cosmetics from it tbh, it was really fun iirc), which, if we take as Part of the Lore, we get to see how the entity operates in the context of a trial where both sides are armed and capable of fighting.

During the crossover, the Trapper was still mortal. He was big, similar in height to Lawbringer and Jiang Jun, and certainly had a lot of health and damage, but he could still be killed. However, the fight between the two teams of players would continue, both teams would keep dying, respawning, and fighting, and eventually The Trapper would return.

Because the entity, deep down, doesn't really care if either side definitely wins. Obviously she prefers if the Killers do, but despite her power she still makes victory and escape possible, because she feeds off that hope. In truth, the entity wants both sides to suffer. She offers extra favors and power to those who kill in her name, but their suffering and anger feeds her just as much as their sacrifices do.

So, while Tarhos and his boys would be much more powerful in The Entity's Realm, the entity would do as it always does, keep them suffering. Keep them killing. Keep them feeding her.

So I think, in a fight between The Knight and his Squad and the original 4 For Honor Knights, in the world of For Honor, the FH knights would come out on top relatively easily

In The Entity's Realm, though, I don't think it'd matter, really. Tarhos would be much stronger, yes, but the nature of the place they're in and the powers involved means that no matter who wins it'd still be a stalemate. They'd just keep fighting, keep killing each other, on and on, forever.

At least that's how I assume it'd go down lol, it's been a good while since that event

ABSOLUTELY, ABSOLUTELY.

Second's first choice for nightmare comfort is Chosen. It's always Chosen. Second and Chosen are connected on a whole other level that sets the two apart from the more normal affection levels toward the pair's other brothers, Dark and Vic.

Chosen gets along with Second best, surprisingly enough. Second is often the only one that can get Chosen to open up about something, and Dark will sometimes ask Second's assistance for exactly that, if Chosen is clammed up shut about something that's important or that is unhealthy to keep silent about.

Dark and Chosen have almost but not quite a twin relationship. They often have moments where they think of the same things at the same time, or are just in general on the same brain wavelength/thought train. Despite this, though, they aren't as closely bonded as actual twins often are. Chosen and Dark are really tight knit, but nothing like Chosen and Second together.

Vic has a bit of a temper, but his temper is soothed and tempered down by his brothers. Mostly Second. Second is the crux of the family, practically. Vic also gets along with the Color Gang very well, due to both parties sharing the trauma of being deleted.

If Second had an accidental hand in bringing Vic back from deletion canonically, then I'd headcanon that Vic gets along with the Color Gang on a closer/higher level.

And if Vic survived or revived a different way, I would like to assume it was painful and harsh, and so Vic would have a slight envy for the Color Gang's [more] pleasant and invigorating revival due to Second's energy.

Also, I have so many headcanons just interspersed throughout my fanfiction. XD

Like Dark being able to tell exactly how much time is passing between different events. He's the stick embodiment of a clock, stopwatch, and timer.

ANYWAY i want sizzys proposal in full detail. we got the clace and the malec ones give them the lovely proposal that i deserve to read. pay them RESPECT. i would also looooove a clace story like any at all. i love and miss them dearly. I would also love a malec story with the kids bc we have literally hardly seen into their family life after they got Rafael but maybe that’s what tec3 is for idk cassandra doesn’t acknowledge its existence. but also if they’ve had two books I’m not exactly sure if she’s writing more about them. DO NOT GET ME WRONG!!! tda: well Cassandra’s use of the word throuple makes me assume it’s a safe bet to think one of them will be kierarktina but there’s also the delusional thought that she’s talking about herongraystairs. so idk abt that but yeah kierartina. a Diana and Gwyn moment would also be like somewhat shocking but fun and fresh. idk there’s not that many tda couples tbh. emma and Julian already got their moment in sobh and i don’t wanna read about them so I’m hoping it’s not them. idk

misc: the thing is i feel like this project is very ambiguous bc the theme is just live and romance so it could be anything like people who were never officially couples. unrequited love is fun. kit and ty moment. but also they’re the focus of twp so im just not gonna go there and Cassie may not either. i was also thinking abt this and a malcolm and annabelle story would be reallyyy interesting. also they don’t really fit into one specific series but they’re around in tec,tmi and tda bc they’re awesome i would LOVE a Helen and aline centered story like tell me about their time on wrangel island because we know next to nothing about that seemingly important place and what the hell goes on there. and helen and aline get fuck all in these books. anyway. that’d be a good time. also like. she said there may be some spice . but like i want love confessions and silly goofy character moments and actual stories not just characters going at it yk. so liek what are the vibes here cassandra…

Amos for the character!

First impression: “she’s cool :) but i don’t really care about her that much tbh, nameless bard supremacy” (i don’t actually remember what my first impression of her was)

Current impression- “AMOS MY GIRL :( YOU DESERVED SO MUCH BETTER. Not enough people talk about her outside of the concept of her weapon :( the average genshin player probably has no idea who she is :(“

Favorite moment: When she tried to kill decarabian (we know very little about it outside of her bow’s description, but I assume it must have been a very emotionally charged moment and I hope we learn more about it)

Idea for a story: I would love to read something about her post-rebellion grieving over deca (her and nb survive), and having conflicting feelings over “I genuinely did care about him and I hate how things ended” and “I hope he burns in hell forever.” It would be cool if gunnhildr comforts her while she’s doing so and then they kiss but in general, old mond gang comforts amos post-rebellion. how does this not exist yet (to my knowledge)?

Unpopular opinion: I don’t know enough opinions about her to tell if this is unpopular, but I think she never fully got over decarabian. Even until the very end deep down she still did care about him, whether as her lover or as her enemy. She would like to have an actual conversation with him one last time.

Favorite relationship: Since we don’t know much else, her relationship with deca is so tragic and just. ough. why do so many people not know about them. they’re lovers they’re friends they’re married they’re divorced they hate eachother they need couples therapy they’re enemies they care about eachother they want eachother to get out of their lives. i’m sososososo normal

Favorite headcanon: Unfortunately I don’t really have many headcanons for her, but I like to think that if she and deca were actually married, at some point she sold her wedding ring (most likely super expensive with. Way Too Many diamonds on it) for a ton of money and used some of it to fund the rebellion. Bonus points if no one knew she did it

okay okay okay now im thinking of a few things-

one is have you ever seen how like mob/gang meetings and fights sometimes happen in those bathhouses cos you gotta be completely naked, more difficult to conceal things like weapons etc. Thinking about Archer having the greatest honour of accompanying Giovanni to one of these. Like Wow hes so Important he gets to Escort Boss. But also!!!! he gets to look at 100% naked Giovanni. Which i guess is not new... but its not the same as seeing GIovanni stepping out of the shower to get dressed. This is sitting with the boss for A While. Buck Naked. Not to mention ARCHER is also naked like. i'm not sure how he will deal with Gio seeing him naked. Also i feel like getting into a fight with some rival group whilst buck naked with your boss is some kind of great bonding activity

THE OTHER THING THO about Archer seeing anyone else in Giovanni's bedroom- You can see his gaze harden as he throws a glare at the 'intruder'. But he would not say anything about it. He doesnt show hes upset (Gio can see him stiffen tho heheh he thinks its pretty amusing probably). Is he jealous? He tells himself he isnt. His boss can do whatever he wants obviously. But there is an anger towards the intruder for daring to encroach on his territory (and then he proceeds to have inappropriate dreams after seeing that lmao)

Tbh I didn't but I can imagine that for sure :Dc I feel like nudity between them indeed isn't much (I assume both sew each other in some terrible state at least once anyway) and also Archer is pretty professional about whole ordeal. Sights are a bonus. I think he aknowledges pretty well that he is second in command (and would like to stay here, thank you very much) so that wouldn't be that much of a surprise to accompany Giovanni or receive particular tasks. It's more like a normal part of job with bonus that isn't a paycheck but more of Giovanni's presence uwu)b

I was wondering today about Archer and whip which I find always interesting for TR. I like to think he started from the bottom so he should be efficient in using one as well. Improvised one in bathhouse, maybe? Since alas his Houndoom wouldn't be as useful as he could be in a bathhouse ;w;)a

I was pondering about Archer, Giovanni and Nanu recently bc... Well, Gio and Nanu is a Thing, but what I find impossibly amusing is that Nanu and Archer are basically opposites in every way you can possibly imagine. Tired old cat cop vs young and motivated dog mafia second in command. Whatever spectrum they are on, they are opposite, and I love it and I like to think Archer has a special sore spot towards that guy, you can even throw in potential bitterness over Nanu knowing so much more than Archer. So Archer stumbling on that guy in Giovanni's room would be very unwelcome for him (and an interesting way to test Archer for Giovanni. He can almost see the way his leash loses some slack).

Maybe he wouldn't mind other executives that much. Like *points at Ariana and Silver* tho Archer would probs offer his own help in some regards if he could.

I feel kinda stupid for not thinking of this earlier, but:

Both the preboot and reboot twins' swords are a LOT more durable than normal, Human Realm steel. Or seemingly any other metal from the Human Realm, for that matter. They can also cut through just about anything, too. The Yamato even moreso, given that it can cut things like human and demon souls/memories and literal dimensions, but the Rebellion is pretty absurdly sharp, too. (I'm mostly talking about the preboot swords here, but I'm gonna assume the same for the reboot swords as well, unless proven otherwise.)

Which also means that those Devil Arms would probably be particularly good for something illegal, like, say, cutting into a bank vault. Or even just breaking into or out of a place.

I headcanon that preboot Vergil probably did his fair share of illegal shit in order to survive on the streets as a kid, especially with Mundus and Mundus' minions hunting him. Not sure how much breaking and entering preboot Vergil did- I COULD see him breaking into places and stealing things, but only if it was stuff relating to Sparda and the demon world. Power, and all that. Or if he just absolutely HAD to break into somebody's house to steal food and clothes, or into some abandoned building to spend the night because the weather outside is awful, but even then, that was probably mainly when he was a kid. Not a lot of mercenary jobs available for 8 year olds, y'know? Unless you count following people and pinching small items. Which I could also see him and preboot Dante doing, tbh- gotta do what you can to survive.

Reboot Dante, though, I feel like probably WOULD of broken into places for the sole purposes of stealing shit. For similar reasons as the preboot twins, but also probably for some gang/"official" illegal shit, too. I couldn't see him robbing banks or anything, but I could maybe see him robbing some rich people's house while they were away on vacation or something. Just to get by- I think he leaned towards more mercenary work than theft and drug peddling, and even then, only when he couldn't get honest work. Could also see him entering into some underground fighting rings- he's got a healing factor, so he figures, what the hell? Why not? Tho of course he'd be holding back to make sure he didn't kill anyone. Even if they paid him to kill someone. Might be kinda hypocritical, since I said I could see him doing mercenary work, so... Maybe he would, Idk. Mercenary work seems like it'd be different, tho, from fighting in a ring. Gotta draw the line somewhere.

I could see the twins swords being stronger then regular swords!! I had a lot of complicated headcanons about how Rebellion and Yamato were made and their purposes in the reboot which are explored in Swan Song but I still have yet to finish that asdfghjkl but I definitely think both were painstakingly crafted so them being particularly strong and that being useful to the twins makes a lot of sense

Also I am a big fan of combat sports, I find them really interesting, and have a particular soft spot for underground fighting rings in fiction so I support Dante doing this. I like the concept and I tend to headcanon reboot Dante as a person with very low self preservation and very much wants to punch people so being able to do that while getting paid would be a plus for him
