In honor of the return of GoSe, my favorite past episodes!

2019 ep 5 Caratland Behind - Solely for DK and Jeonghan's recording of BRING IT. Jeonghan's lil "tu~rn left" was so cute but I was totally blown away by DK's angry rap. So much 'tude, possibly fiercer than the original. :0

2019 ep 17-18 Karaoke Escape Room - The moment Hoshi is dramatically drawing out the last lyrics to some random old song that they don't know and the 100 points shows up on screen and everyone absolutely loses their shit. Also, the members being relatable AF because they can't do math.

2020 ep 5-6 Past Life Destiny - Where do I even start? DK full on grinding the floor and getting up close and personal with the camera during his intro dance. JiHan's chaotic reenactment of a scene from "I'm Sorry I Love You" where Shua throws himself out of the car (not scripted). All the SeokSoon drama. As a bonus, Seungkwan sang DBSK's Hug while DK was choosing his partner and I squealed!

2020 ep 9 Insomnia Zero - Birth of Wonwoo's iconic ~tasty~ and when I learned that Woozi has no chill.

2020 ep 21-22 Kartrider - "Booster! Booster! Booster! YAH! BOOSTER!" - Hoshi failing to get a booster, 2020

2020 ep 23-24 Seventeen's Got Talent - Seventeen is so good at adlib humor, they just take the concept and go hard. Too many amazing characters! My favorites were diva judge Boo, sloth rapper Hoshi, musical actor Jun, angry ballad singer DK, robot Shua, and of course "Jun" aka mischievous Minghao.

2020 ep 25-26 The8 and the Shadows - Minghao wanted to be the leader for a day and the GoSe team gave him what he wanted... kinda lol. Favorite moments include the impromptu "We Will Rock You", DK's sogo dance, Jeonghan casually throwing water at Shua, and Shua getting everyone to imitate the voodoo doll he threw on the floor multiple times.

2020 ep 33 Mousebusters - Not so much for the actual Mousebusters part but the orange and grape games they did after. Seventeen takes games EXTREMELY SERIOUSLY.

2020 ep 40-41 Don't Lie II - Hoshi absolutely slayed this season of Don't Lie and he knows it. There's something so satisfying about seeing his chaotic thought process pan out to actually be correct.

2020 ep 44-45 TTT - I enjoy all of the TTTs but the focus on "hyperrealism" made this one even better because it seemed like the members were simultaneously more and less aware of the cameras and making content for the show. It had all of our favorite SVT pastimes - eating and drinking, badly played sports, games they've played a thousand times, and overly-enthusiastic karaoke.

2020 ep 46 Going Magazine - Minghao styled Hoshi sooooo well for the shoot, holy crap. Praise the denim crop top. And Mingyu was carrying this whole project so hard, this is when I first started to appreciate how hardworking and talented he is in other artistic ventures outside of just performing.

2021 ep 11 Ad Genius - Honestly too many meme-worthy moments to count, but my top are: Shua putting Shin Ramen in his hair, Jeonghan putting gochujang on his eyebrows, and Coups proposing to Dino with all kinds of products while Hoshi sings 2AM's "This Song" in the background.

2021 ep 24 Tribal Games - The Whispering in Silence game is probably my most rewatched Seventeen clip ever. Hoshi "epik"-ly screwing everything up makes me laugh every time.

2022 ep 37 How to Eat Rice - We must pay our respects to two members who threw away their idol image for this episode: 1) DK, the hungry rice monster, and 2) Shua, who poured a bucket of ice water over himself to prove that ramen tastes the best when you're cold. Double respects to Shua because he didn't even win after all of that lol.

2022 ep 50 GOING Radio Show - Dino going "look at my fit!" while Vernon is fighting for his life keeping his laughter in is one of the first clips I ever saw of Seventeen and it's still hilarious. The whole corner with Jeonghan and Dino learning English from Shua and Vernon was peak comedy.

Anyway, the two episodes that have been released so far have been really enjoyable! Lots of pun humor, member banter, and a surprise twist! I'm looking forward to Wednesdays now~

Chucky Versus M3GAN: The Debate Rages On!

The internet has no shortage of feuds, from celebrities to families to movies about the multiverse. A new one that’s appeared recently is between two horror dolls. Some of you may not know this, but Chucky of the Child’s Play franchise has his own Twitter account (@ChuckyIsReal), as does M3GAN (@meetM3GAN). Over the past few days, they’ve been taking shots at one another.

After the trailer for M3GAN dropped, Chucky retweeted the video with the caption, “everybody’s tryna be me.” Ironically, while M3GAN does bear more than a passing resemblance to a Chucky, it’s not the O.G. 1988 one played by Brad Dourif.

Based on the trailers alone, M3GAN has quite a few things in common with the 2019 version of Child’s Play. In that version, Chucky wasn’t a doll possessed by a serial killer through voodoo magic. Instead, Chucky (voiced there by Mark Hamill) was a malfunctioning A.I. who just wanted to be his owner’s friend—even if it meant having to kill a few people to do it.

The next day, in response to Chucky’s call-out post, M3GAN replied to that tweet which said, “u Know u that doll when u cause all this conversation,” captioned with a GIF of her taking off her sunglasses from the trailer.

Besides that, in response to Chucky’s posting, “word to the wise: don’t fk with the chuck,” M3GAN responded back with a ‘lol chucky plss.”

Chucky is the killer doll to beat, but it turns out he might have been beaten. The producers, star, and director of M3GAN all think that the deadly A.I.-powered doll from the upcoming Universal horror-thriller would totally kick Chucky’s butt.

“M3GAN’s got this,” Allison Williams, the star of the movie, tells SYFY WIRE at a press junket ahead of the Jan. 6 release date. “It feels so simple to me. M3GAN can just do all of the research there is on Chucky’s weaknesses in a millisecond and figure it out. She has too many resources. It’s not a fair fight.”

Williams knows M3GAN’s resources well. In the movie, she plays Gemma, a roboticist at a toy company who invents a robotic doll named M3GAN. When she unexpectedly takes custody of her niece, Cady, after her parents die in a car accident, Gemma deploys M3GAN to be Cady’s new best friend (and, essentially, parental figure, since Gemma’s not quite cut out for it). Things go wrong, though, because M3GAN is protective, smart, quick-learning, and equipped with access to the internet and all the world’s knowledge, as well as some sort of carbon-fiber skeleton. All of these things make her more than a match for Chucky — a standard cloth and plastic Good-Guy Doll possessed by a tenacious but not especially brilliant serial killer.

“There’s no question that M3GAN would definitely win. She’s much smarter than Chucky,” says Jason Blum, the powerhouse horror producer behind M3GAN and many other Blumhouse Productions. The other big-name producer of the movie, co-writer James Wan of The Conjuring and Malignant fame, was inclined to cut Chucky a break.

“I’m a big Child’s Play fan,” Wan said. “They’re playing in different worlds.”

“James is more diplomatic than me,” quipped Blum.  

Gerard Johnstone, who directed M3GAN, also gave the W to the TikTok-dancing robot doll. Ever the entertainer, though, Johnstone wanted there to be a good fight.

“I have to say M3GAN, obviously, but for the viewers, we would have to make sure it’s not a quick decision,” he said. “M3GAN would just keep him alive long enough to prove a point.”

It’s a brutal outcome for Chucky, though perhaps an expected one. If we’d asked Don Mancini or other people behind the series, they might have named Chucky the winner. It’s possible that Team M3GAN is discounting Chucky’s supernatural abilities, but unless (until?) there’s a crossover, we won’t know for sure.

1. What color reminds you of home? or of a safe space?

Usually fall colors, red and gold because my family is Taiwanese. We usually have a dragon around the house, a nice Buddha statue, and a bunch of red & gold calenders and charms :D

2. What’s your favorite season and why?

Spring because it get’s warmer!!! (it may as well be scorching hot, guys CLIMATE CHANGE IS A THING)

3. What’s the first thing you look at when you meet a person?

Their eyes. I would usually talk to someone without meeting their eyes and then I came to the realization that that is pretty rude?? I guess in a way so, if I stare are you, it’s mainly cause I’m looking at your eyes xD.

4. What type of songs do you like?

I like meaningful songs most of the time. I listen to a variety so it depends on my mood.

5. What are you afraid of at the moment?

Death (the obvious), the future, FUCKING FINALS ;-;

6. what is one trait you wish people would appreciate about you more?

I guess loyalty??? Like I’m not really the one person that people would think about talking to when they have a problem so that sucks cause I am a very good listener. I am also a very kind and loyal person until someone plays me for absolute shit, that’s when Savage J comes out and no one wants that.

I like apocalypse AUs and weird demon AUs!!! (also a sucker for some romance)

8. What’s your favorite mv concept?

Hmmmm I usually love dark MV’s with a lot of symbolism in them. For example, Voodoo Doll by VIXX, Blood Sweat & Tears by BTS (it’s pretty dark, THE THEORIES), Toy by Block B, and etc!

9. Name a song you want to dedicate to your ultimate bias and why?

Eyes, Nose, Lips by Taeyang to Taehyung because that’s all I’m reminded of and it flutters my heart. Ring Ding Dong by Shinee to Mino.....JUST IMAGINE HIM DOING THE DANCE OMFG. Dream in a Dream by Ten to Junhoe....he’s an absolute dream, sue me.

10. What languages do you speak?

English and broken Mandarin, Italian, German, and French....it’s due to all the music I listen to as well as what shows I watch. I am currently learning Korean and more Mandarin :D

I usually want to be alone. When I’m around people so much, I feel like I can’t think and then I get a giant ass headache so that sucks. I also get annoyed easily sometimes (I get it from my mother).

Stop overthinking and be more involved

So my fav band is Of Mice & Men (when Austin Carlile was still in it cause I haven’t heard the new songs) because they really hit my heart strings....like I cried for an entire album

My writing and video editing because I am self-taught!! IT WASN’T EASY but I got through the hard parts :D so I am proud of myself. I also have poetry books on Wattpad as well as a collection of all my poems. If you wanna check it out, just ask me for my user!

Most likely nothing, the universe if full of possibilities but so far, it’s been cold air.

11. when you don’t like yourself, how do you make yourself feel better

Listen to music, write it out then throw it away, get motivated that something may happen if I don’t do it etc.

Bigbang:My first bias: Top. I liked him instantly. The first time I saw him was The Fantastic Baby MV and it was like ??? bro what an aesthetic ???? THAT HAIR COLOR ?????????? AMAZING. His rapping is out of this world and I totally fell for that. Then learning more about his personality really solidified him as awesome in my book. I like that he has a lot of layers.Your current bias and why: Daesung. I still love Top and he’s a close second favorite, but it eventually kind of hit me how amazing Dae is. I love him for his amazing singing of course, but what set him apart for me is just the kind of person he is. The way he’s been through such tough things and came out still smiling and wanting to make other people happy is so… profound? He inspires me. His faith really speaks to me as well. He’s not as loud about it as Youngbae but reading how he talked about it when he had that period of struggle really did touch me.Favourite song: This is hard to answer… so I’ll give my top five? I had SO much fun with the stories in all of the Conception trilogy and Fantasy was my favorite part.OTP: I don’t ship, but my fave friendship in general is probably just N and everyone. N and everybody. His role as mom is hilarious but also really cute. Actually. There’s my top three.Favourite era: Kratos/The Closer, because it’s the first one where I was able to be present for the whole thing and experience it with other Starlights which has been a blast.Do you own any merchandise: For all the shorter time I’ve been a fan… a lot lol. Their latest CD autographed by Binnie (I ordered two so I’d get two autographs but got him twice LMAO), Kratos autographed by Ken, Ker, Boys’ Record, the travel diary, official posters, some little fanmade goods (pins, polaroids, posters, stickers, a bracelet), some PCs and postcards, two shirts and a sweater. I think. That’s it. Waiting for the Seasons Greeting 2017 to arrive though~ And I gotta buy Ravi’s mini-album soon…Have you seen them live: NO BUT I WILL. I HAVE TO.Favourite voice/singer: Can I just, like, say all of them? They each have a unique quality to their voice that I love a lot.
