Thinking about shen yuan having green eyes in his past life and it slowly bleeding over the brown eyes of shen jiu the longer he is in the body

I gotta say the callous attitudes of the Peaklord to go behind SQQ back to discuss his qi deviation and theorizing maybe Possession took place and when that became clear it was not they just did not continue to look further because they like the pretty outer shell of nice SQQ because then it would make them ask what make their shixiong so prickly and what his issues were that maybe it ran deep because how else is he so different otherwise?
No one thinks of: what if this SQQ wishes to remember? I read once in a fic, and I found it very just, a Lan Zhan amnesiac who says that even if it were painful experiences (33 lashes and 13 years of mourning) they were part of him, that they were dear to him even if painful.
I think that even if SJ hated to have lived what he lived, he did not want to forget he did not want to forget Qi-ge, his fiancée, the courtesans of the brothel, all the women who were nice to him,
or his life, who he is. And who he is with unpleasant experiences: rapes without doubt, abuse, a life without a parent, a feeling of abandonment, the fact that he never felt at home in Qing Jing, that he was not loved by his martial brothers and sisters, betrayal ... and also with things he did.
it's not something they have to decide. If SY were SJ it would be up to SY and SY alone to decide if "something must be done" and if He have to “stay that way.”
I also think that although the peak lords may be right to not appreciate SJ, they never tried to get along with him either. I always found LQG to be very contemptuous without knowing (like all peak lords)
Like it sucks cause they should have talked with him in person your memories what youve gone through as a person and when it comes to his trauma all the girls he put his head down for a nice nap, Qiu Hatiang, Yue Qingyuan "betrayal" all the shit that went down makes him who he is as Shen jiu. They don't talk to him and ask if he wants to look deeper into his memories like they disregard their martial brother who I get they dislike but it makes them scummier in my eyes because wtf they barley even tried ?
Like if it were any of the Peaklords take LQG for instance they would have tried their hardest to get his memories but because their SQQ is more presentable and make them feel more comfortble is disgusting cause they disregard his autonomy.
Who we are is made up of our memories and how our past experiences have led to the development of our beliefs, our coping mechanisms, our very personalities. Without his memories, is SJ even SJ anymore? They may prefer the blank slate, but it requires no self examination for them. They do not have to think deeper like you have about why SJ is who he is, what terrible past he has that makes the reader more forgiving and understanding of his faults. If they did think about that, they would have to do something, wouldn’t they?
Hell, If Yue Qingyuan and SJ were reversed are any of us going to be suprised at the lengths he'll try to go to get his Qi-ge' back as readers but YQ who cares for SJ but lack of a backbone in not trying to recover his memories and not trying is just... irksome. SJ being more all or nothing guy compared to YQ who basically just a water down version of MDSZ Lan Xichen who basically did nothing to his benefit really says something. He's not kind he's a diplomat a politician he's polite is what he is.
YQ character would be much more attractive to me if his indecisiveness just never existed lol. I hate mopy characters so damn much and with a postions as sect leader had he been more firm and not let his shidi do whatever 99% of the things that happened never would have occured. There's only so much you can blame on miscommunication when it actively hurted and harmed the other party. He saw what it did to his shidi and he just did nothing about it right up to his foolish sucide attempt to save his Xiao at the last minute when his legs got sent to him. Wonder wtf he was doing then filing paperwork lol?

Err, sorry about the formatting of my first reply. >_< I was in the middle of something when I first saw your post, and had to jot down all my thoughts as fast as possible... and then tumblr was weird about the reblog visibility, as far as I can tell? >_< So, I'm sorry about that, and thank you for the reply!
(...and then upon looking back at this completed reply, I'm sorry about this one as well. I'm really not very good at it - the replying, that is, as well as just communicating in general-)
I'd like to respond to your further thoughts! Admittedly, this includes offering you a lot of... well, silly thoughts and headcanons that I am playing with, that I hope might spark within you new ideas or points of insights! Just, new perspectives that aren't necessarily correct - nor assuming that they are correct - but new angles to (re)examine, all the same!
I thought so! I wasn't completely sure that YQY facing down TLJ while still being a head disciple was canon, So I'm glad to hear I wasn't wrong there!
And yay for more support for not-old!Peak Lords! And for this IAC being one of the first their generation is facing! I always found that interesting - how, one of the first thing Yue Qingyuan says, is that Shen Jiu!Qingqiu needn't worry about presenting himself well for the Immortal Alliance Conference - especially since I'd also noticed the every-four-year event taking place three-years post-transmigration, meaning the last one should have already passed a year ago, and the next one shouldn't be for another three! Why would that be the first thing on Shen Jiu's mind/what Yue Qingyuan assumed to be foremost on Shen Jiu's mind as a source of stress?
I've got a few ideas in mind for that, though no proof for any of them, so: A)They're thinking of terrible the IAC were they met each other went, with SJ killing the other disciples and then his master, and then discovering that Yue Qi had presumably forgotten him or set him aside, which... yeah, would leave some pretty negative connotations attached to the event. B)The last conference went badly - either as a whole, or for 9!SQQ in particular. SJ is constantly in fear about his position and place in society, or similar, so any form of weakness might echo loudly even between occurrences...
or, my pet idea, C) Cang Qiong Mountain, still newly ascended to their position, did not all attend the previous IAC, either as a whole or in parts. They were still settling in, and taking in all-new inner disciples; they'll be prepared to give a much better showing after a few more years, and want to come out showing themselves as strong.
asdfhkasl a silly idea just occurred to me: D) According to the rules of the tournament, contestants found fighting can be banned for 12 years. What if SJ was banned from the conference after his misconduct at the earlier IAC, and the ban only just ran out? XD
(Or the boring option E) That they just recently went over a bunch of paperwork connected to the IAC - either individually or at a Peak Lord's Meeting - and thus it was fresh on their minds.)
...like I said - I have no proof for any of these, that's just some of the possible reasons I could come up with that SJ would be worrying himself so terribly with 3 years to go before the IAC.
(Skippable rant incoming)
BUT RELATEDLY. THIS IS ONE OF THE REASONS WHY. THE THREE-YEAR SECLUSION IN THE DONGHUA IS A BESERK BUTTON FOR ME. (skip to [rant over] if you want to skip the SY levels of indignant ranting on a nitpicky subject-)
WE ACTUALLY. FOR ONCE. HAVE PRECISE DATES AND YEARS AND TIMES AND EVENTS!!! It's not like MDZS, where you're constantly wondering how long the Sunshot Campaign lasted! Or wondering for how long they were at the Burial Mounds! THERE'S NO HANDWAVEY-TIMELINES - WE HAVE DATES CLEARLY AND REPEATEDLY CALLED OUT!!!
Binghe is 14, and has already suffered under SJ for some time!!! Upon returning from the Skinner mission, SQQ spends 3. MONTHS. In seclusion, which immediately dovetails into the Sha Hualing's Invasion - in which LMY has no sword and is defeated, and Binghe barely manages to outlast and defeat his demon! 2 YEARS LATER, giving them plenty of time to train (and for Bingqiu to bond <3), these two will then go from faring poorly to RANKING THIRD AND FIRST IN THE ENTIRE IAC.
THE! IAC! TAKES PLACE! WHEN LUO BINGHE! IS! 17!!!
If SQQ spends 3 YEARS in secluded meditation, then Binghe and LMY have to go from "ehhhhhh" to fantastic practically overnight!!! WTF?????
Unless! You want!!! To destroy the timeline further!! And explicitly go against every single age and time frame mentioned after!!!
AFDHAKJLDHAKJSD
WHY WOULD YOU INTENTIONALLY THROW CANON OUT THE WINDOW WHEN IT'S BEEN TIED UP WITH A NEAT LITTLE BOW FOR YOU????????????????
Watching SQQ in the first episodes was painful enough - they make him look like an idiot clown with the whole drinking the medicine, as well as ruining one of the first touching scenes and the go----amn turning point in Luo Binghe's life -
..........................
...Alright. I'll stop now. It just... hurts, to think about, and I feel better after imagining I'm like SY raging at some of PIDW's plot holes and inconsistencies.
[...okay. rant over.]
asdfh- I almost went and quoted the "spent twenty days binging from start to finish" line before I remembered you had just debunked that when picking through the literal Chinese translation. So, I guess I have nothing on that point -
-just to say that we probably can't really trust what SQQ claims as his memory. Sure, I totally believe that you forgot all about the IAC. It's probably also a complete coincidence that Luo Binghe was out on an assignment that took him away for weeks, and even trying to return as quickly as possible, he only managed to make it back three days before the IAC. Definitely not a completely plausibly deniable way to get Luo Binghe out of the IAC, nope. (another wild pet theory to play with)
..
Oh! I completely forgot about the existence of extras as a standard occurrence, until your other post mentioned it!!! YEAH, that would totally make sense!!!
(and yeah, a 4 year total-3 year productive streak makes sense with a slower start, absolutely!! I feel like after he lost his outline, upon being expected to still update consistently, he just threw as many words out as he could in frustration (and grief - ouch >_<) .)
đŸ„ș But what about the Airplane and Shen Yuan left behind? I feel like Shen Yuan's life will be emptier without ever having a Luo Binghe, or even an Airplane... ouch! Airplane, though... just continues on his sad, probably unfulfilling life alone :(
...
I think that was it, plus a bunch of uninvited extra? ^^; Thank you again for your reply!
...actually you know what*, I'll check the canon myself tomorrow, but: do we actually know for sure that SY died immediately after finishing PIDW? because i remember he died cursing it with his last words, but not whether it was indicated that he died the same day as he finished reading.
Couldn't it happen at a later date? Because, like, just basing it on myself, there are some things that I finished 2 years ago and hated so much that I still have a rant pretty much lock'd and loaded, and I will start recounting it at the slightest provocation.** Couldn't it be the same case?
*inspired by a couple posts i saw before, about the discrepancy between SY following the novel for years (i didnt see this on my reread yet so idk source) and finishing it in 20 days (chap.1)
**yes, yes, the probability of transmigrating into woh/shl if i meet an unfortunate accident is something I have a healthy fear of

So what was Yue Qingyuan doing during those five years that Luo Binghe held onto Shen Qingqiu’s body?
Well, I’ve looked at the book for clues.
First off, as far as the original SQQ knew, YQY never went into seclusion (trust me this is relevant):
“Who’s frightened?” [Shen Qingqiu] snapped angrily. “Zhangmen-shixiong never enters the Ling Xi Caves for secluded cultivation, no? So why must you fight me for a spot the moment I do!”
Perhaps that line wasn't meant to signify anything, but if YQY tried to avoid the caves because they triggered traumatic memories, it would make sense. He gets weird about it when Shen Yuan merely mentions that he'll be secluding himself:
If Shen Qingqiu wanted to enter seclusion in the Ling Xi Caves, he was sure Yue Qingyuan wouldn’t refuse. But the smile on Yue Qingyuan’s lips froze a little, his expression changing slightly.
But here, when LBH attacks the sect, Mu Qingfang says that YQY's secluded cultivation was forcefully interrupted.
[Yue Qingyuan had] barely [drawn his sword] when, next to him, Mu Qingfang anxiously said, “Zhangmen-shixiong, you were in secluded cultivation and forcefully interrupted your training, then faced these strong foes. It was already terribly hard on you. By pushing yourself to draw your sword now, I’m afraid your body will really
”
So in my interpretation, this means that SQQ's five years of "death" are what triggered YQY into secluding himself, and it was probably in the Lingxi Caves.
Was YQY worried about qi deviating after SQQ died? Did he seclude himself as a form of self-punishment? Had he given up on himself? Or was he training to make sure he didn't do anything impulsive, so that he'd be strong enough in case total war broke out between all the major sects after Liu Qingge retrieved SQQ's body?
When discussing the conflict between Huanhua Palace and Cangqiong, a nameless side character put it like this:
Those two sects go back and forth, repaying grievance with grievance, growing their feud larger and larger. The way I see it, one day, their ships will capsize together and no one will survive.
Since the fight over SQQ's body was apparently at risk of starting a dangerous and bloody conflict, I also wonder if this triggered YQY's "don't be impulsive, don't do anything reckless, you'll just make everything worse" issues.
So do you think YQY went into seclusion immediately after SQQ died? Or did he wait a while, pretend at normalcy, until he finally couldn't take it?
Do you think he stared at those walls, covered in his own blood, while he trained himself?
What thoughts were going through his head...

Scumbag System (SVSSS donghua) Episode 10 Thoughts (spoilers)
(covers SVSSS chaps 24 - 26, BC Novels Translations)
And thus the first season of the SVSSS donghua comes to an end...rather weirdly abruptly to be honest, but more on that later. Obviously I love the donghua. It was not perfect, but it still exceeded my expectations. I truly appreciate what they were able to do within their budget constraints and I think they captured the spirit of the source material perfectly, which is really all I hope for when it comes to adaptations.  The writing was strong, the humor hit the spot always (for example, when poor Shizun got motion sickness from sword riding, I guffawed), and they also gave us some of the most beautiful characters I’ve ever seen on screen, especially with Shen Qingqiu, Luo Binghe and Liu Qingge. I really, really hope they release official figurines for them. I’m going to start saving my money now just for that possibility.
Even though their time together in this episode was short, the BingQiu love was definitely strong. They gave them a combo move that was not in the source material: for someone like me who grew up watching Cantonese dramas, two characters who have a combo sword move (”雙抍搈璧”!) are usually a couple so I was especially tickled by this addition. I am always thankful to the donghua team for the little Easter Eggs they give us for BingQiu, like the way Binghe's eyes lit up when he sees SQQ...
Tumblr media
or when SQQ touches him...
Tumblr media
Once again, for those not in the know, it can easily be interpreted as a disciple just being devoted and filial to his Shizun. But for those of us who have read the novel, of course we know it’s indication of Bingmei falling in love with SQQ. I love how subtle yet significant these little expressions of Binghe’s are, and I hope they continue on with these little touches even in the next season.
Of course then there are the more obvious gestures, like that HUG:
Tumblr media
It lasted for a good 15 seconds and oh my God look at the Binghe’s hand placement!  There was totally nipple groppage happening there! This wasn’t in the book by the way...SQQ didn’t get woozy and Binghe most definitely didn’t have to catch him like some fainting damsel, so we have the donghua team to thank for this wonderful moment of (sexy) physical contact between the two of them.
The donghua team was also especially generous in this episode since not only did we get some BingQiu love, but we got a pinch of LiuShen and QiJiu love too.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
LQG’s eyes were on SQQ the entire time! And then Yue Qingyuan as usual took any opportunity he got to touch his Qingqiu.  So all shippers were fed. Hell, they even threw in some more straight-baiting again so peeps who are watching the show for the “straight” romance between Luo Binghe and his never-to-be-future-wife Qin Wanyue were fed too since the scene where Binghe gives her the handkerchief to wipe away her tears were not in the chapters of the book for this episode, and racking my brain I don’t even think it was in the book, period. I’m trying to remember if that handkerchief even holds any significance but even if it does, it’s all for naught since we know Qin Wanyue is at most just a minor side character. She does pop up again later on but then is mostly forgotten, so...not quite sure what that moment was all about other than to, I don’t know, throw off the censors?
I’m also not sure why we spent so much time with Liu Mingyan and Gongyi Xiao in this episode. Nothing against them personally, I like both characters very much (despite my previous complaints about GYX’s character design), and it’s not that they don’t deserve more screen time, but this was the season finale! Even though the next season has been announced, God knows when we’ll see it next year and how many episodes it would be, so every minute of screen time matters! That’s why I was a bit puzzled that they used up half of the episode showing LMY basically facing the same perils with her group of fellow disciples as before and GYX just running from that huge serpent. Even if that thing DOES turn out to be Zhuzhi-lang, it was still a bit much. They weren’t exactly character building scenes either so...why? Budget reasons? Didn’t have enough money to pay SQQ’s voice actor (Wu Lei-laoshi) so they had to stick in miscellaneous scenes to lessen his screen time?
I’m kidding of course. God I hope that wasn’t the reason because that would just be sad.
Speaking of miscellaneous scenes though, what was going on with these two dudes?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I gotta admit, I’m a bit salty that these two mob characters got to do what our main couple can’t. What’s their story? Why do they get special privileges? Damn these nobodies. XD
All kidding aside, I have to say, of all the episodes this season, this might be the weakest one, not only because of the “filler” scenes, but also, the way the episode ended was so odd, especially for a season finale. The season basically ended on a scene transition. Not a cliffhanger, just a scene transition, and then cut to credits. What?? Why??? It’s almost as if they just ran out of time so had to stop the show all of a sudden. And then as if to make up for it, they added post-credit scenes which, honestly blew me away because it was so unexpected. It was indeed almost enough to make me completely forgive the weakness of the episode as a whole and that weird-ass ending.
Tumblr media
I teared up!  The scene was kind of chopped up, didn’t even flow that smoothly, but I still got emotional! I’m sure when I see this scene in its entirety next season I am just going to be destroyed. I think they made it even more gut-wrenching than it was in the novel. Looks like the donghua team really aren’t gonna hold back when it comes to delivering the BingQiu knives.
We also got to see Mobei-jun appear in the post-credits scene; I guess they had to stick him in there since he was featured in the poster for this season, so it would have been weird if he didn’t at least make an appearance.
Tumblr media
I immediately thought of him as Sephiroth’s younger cousin when I first saw him on the poster and I still feel that way. Anyone related to Sephiroth, I will approve and instantly have affection for. For the MoShang shippers’ sake, I hope the Shang Qinghua they create for him will be just as pretty. I think I can now safely discard my guess from last time and also that moon-faced bearded ojisan others have guessed. We actually got a glimpse of the real deal in this sequence:
Tumblr media
They strategically made him blurry so you can’t really make out his features, but what we still can tell from there is that he does not have facial hair (hence, he cannot be the ojisan) and the hair crown he’s wearing is silver and different from the twinky sect leader. So I guess we’ll be getting a fresh out of the microwave Airplane Bro instead of any of the no-name potential cannon fodder we’ve already seen.
We’ll probably get the abyss opening up in maybe even the first episode of next season but that’ll still leave a lot of ground to be covered in just 10 episodes (rumored). There haven’t been any talk about a third season, but I really hope it’ll happen, even though it might take them a while to make it. I know it’s premature to even think of a third season when we haven’t even gotten an actual release date for the second, but I’m greedy because I already miss the donghua. This season was over so quickly, I’m already mourning the lack of new episodes. I hope we get the second season in the first quarter of next year and then by some miracle, a third or even fourth to properly finish out the story. I know we will never get the FULL story, but as long as they keep the spirit of BingQiu’s love and continue to hint at it like they’ve been doing this season, I will be more than satisfied.
And while I’m wishful thinking for new seasons, I hope we also get a BingQiu duet and character songs. I love the opening and ending theme this season, if they want to save money I totally don’t mind if they just use the same OP/ED themes in the next season as well, but I hope they throw in a good BingQiu insert song and then release some individual character songs as well. I’m still not a fan of Binghe’s voice, but maybe they can have someone else do his vocals for the songs. SVSSS is the older son of MXTX’s works, I feel like it already got short-shrifted in terms of adaptation since it got the lesser budget compared to MDZS and TGCF. Hopefully with how popular the donghua is this season, it will be given a bigger budget next season so they can bring to life all the subsequent proceedings from the book properly. And whatever they’re paying Wu Lei-laoshi, SQQ’s voice actor, they should double it because that man is just amazing. I worship his voice and performance. I wish he would read the audiobook version of the the novel. I would listen to the hell out of that.  I have always loved SQQ, but if I’m going to be honest, I came into the show just a little more excited about seeing Bingge being brought to life. I still love Binghe of course, in all his phases, however, now,  because of Wu Lei-laoshi’s stellar voice performance (and of course SQQ’s beautiful looks), I’m leaving this season absolutely head over heels about SQQ/Shen Yuan. Also thanks to the show, I’m completely obsessed with Liu Qingge as well.  So for those two reasons, I will eternally be grateful to the donghua team.

LOL when you said Hero my brain said noooooooooooooo cuz they all died dammit but then you said jmbnh and I perked up considerably :P. That sounds really really cool!!!
YEAH YOU GOT IT LMFAO. i'm gonna try to actually execute this (I hope), so i'm gonna slap the rough first outline under a cut for those who don't want spoilers ;) ;) but you already know where i'm going with this lolololol
Act I: Did you know the Xiu Ya Sword and the Broken Sword were lovers?
The Warrior is brought before the Emperor. Upon presenting the broken Cheng Luan sword, he is allowed to approach within 20 paces. "Did you kill him?" "No. Your Venerable Majesty's decree may have been dead or alive, but all warriors on the jianghu know it's the Emperor's wish to kill the Cheng Luan Sword personally." "Very good. Bring him before me." "Your Venerable Majesty, the Cheng Luan Sword Liu Qingge has escaped his bounds and is on the run." "No matter, Your Majesty, he will come here." "Oh? Why is that?" "Because the only two men to have bested him are here, and his sword lies broken between us."
The Emperor laughs, joyous.
"Very good! But Cheng Luan is not all you brought."
Xiu Ya and the broken Xuan Su swords. The Warrior is allowed to approach within 10 paces.
"How did you do it?"
"Did Your Venerable Majesty know the Xiu Ya Sword and the Broken Sword are lovers?"
-Red-
We get the heavily saturated story of the Warrior going to the Qiong Ding School of Calligraphy. He begs a character: 濃, heart. He does so to figure out the Broken Sword's strength, because swordsmanship is embodied in calligraphy. He also fights side-by-side with Xiu Ya Sword, fending off the Emperor's attempt to be rid of the assassins. He gains enough cred from Shen Qingqiu to beg an audience with both Shen Qingqiu and Yue Qingyuan.
There the Warrior tells them that Liu Qingge is dead, and that LQG had been confident that YQY, with whom he'd had a one night stand, will avenge him. It's the Warrior's honor to come challenge YQY now. In a fit of jealous rage, SQQ stabs and kills YQY, then goes to battle the Warrior himself. Distraught by emotions, SQQ falls, and the Warrior walks away the victor.
Back in the Palace, the Emperor listens. He says he did know, yes, that the Xiu Ya Sword and the Broken Sword are lovers, but doesn't the Warrior think he's underestimated somebody in this equation? "Whom?" "Me. I've met Yue Qingyuan once, three years ago when he and Shen Qingqiu tried to assassinate me. Even then I could see his complete devotion to SQQ. He would never sleep with anybody else, not if SQQ is still at his side. So everything you said is a lie, except for one thing." "What?" "I think the Cheng Luan sword did know one of you, but I think the one he knew was you."
Act II: I think the Cheng Luan Sword trusted you.
"I think you, Liu Qingge, Shen Qingqiu, and Yue Qingyuan all colluded in order to get you within ten steps of me."
-Blue-
Despite imperial witnesses, Liu Qingge successfully faked his own defeat at the Warrior's blade. The Warrior carried and bound LQG himself. Then the Warrior brings his proposal to SQQ and YQY—he has a killing move as long as he gets within ten steps of the Emperor, so he only needs one of their blood on his hands. SQQ wounds YQY to keep YQY at home and makes himself the sacrifice. YQY does not make it in time to save SQQ but gives the broken Xuan Su to the Warrior anyways, because Xiu Ya and Xuan Su, just like their masters, should always stay together.
"You also gave LQG a way out. All of this is to get within ten steps of me. And now you're here. Tell me, am I wrong?"
"...Only about one thing. Your Majesty has also underestimated somebody."
"Who?"
"The Broken Sword."
Act III: The Broken Sword says you must not be killed.
-White-
Nobody was ever in actual danger. The Warrior did not kill LQG. He also will not kill SQQ or YQY. They only need to fake it for the imperial witnesses.
Only, the Broken Sword says the Emperor must not be killed. Xiu Ya Sword is furious—"You know what he's done to me and my country, yet you let him go three years ago and you'd let him go now. Why?!" But YQY will not say. SQQ vows to help the Warrior and stabs YQY to keep him out of their way.
But as the Warrior heads to the Capital, YQY also gives him Xuan Su. "Do you know why my blade is broken?" "No." "Neither do I. I've never wondered, either, but three years ago, when my blade nicked the Emperor's neck, Xuan Su suddenly sent me a warning."
"A warning about what?"
"A warning that I'll find out. I'll find out what broke my blade if I kill the Emperor, and that's something I want to remain ignorant of no matter the cost. Can you understand that feeling?"
"...Yes, I can."
"Who would have thought, of all the people in the world, it's the Broken Sword who understands me best? You understand it too? Tell me the feeling," the Emperor demands. "What is the thing you don't know, but the thought of knowing it terrifies you?"
"I know I must kill the Emperor," the Warrior states. "I know that he is a tyrant, and he runs a bloody world. I know I must kill him to save us all. What I don't know is why my heart breaks at the thought."
"You know you sound just like a man I used to know," the Emperor sneers. "He too criticized my methods. He too despised me. He too hurt at the thought of hurting me. Do you know why Liu Qingge must die by my hands?"
LQG steps out of the shadows, wounded but ready to kill.
"Because the Cheng Luan Sword took that man from me," the Emperor snarls, pulling his blade.
LQG approaches.
"Pass me Cheng Luan," he tells the Warrior. The Warrior grabs Cheng Luan, but hesitates in the throw. "Shen—!"
The Emperor runs him through. LQG falls dead at their feet. There are less than ten steps between them and the Emperor can kill the Warrior in just as easy a stroke. The Emperor does not.
"Who," the Warrior asks slowly, eyes on the fallen LQG, "is the man you used to know?"
"I don't know."
"I think I do. I think by coming here, I've learned the reason for my heartache."
"I think I have too. I wish you hadn't come. Will you still kill me, Shizun?"
"I don't know."
"Yes you do. This is something you've always known."
"...Yes, Your Majesty, I will."
The Emperor takes a deep, shaky breath.
"You didn't let Liu Qingge kill me."
"That's because he couldn't have," the Warrior says sadly. "Only I know how to kill you."
"Well I won't let you!" the Emperor snarls, furious. "I'll cut off your arms so you can never wield a sword again and your legs so you can never run again! You've left me once, I won't let you do it again!"
"Binghe."
The Emperor's eyes go wide, then red. He turns on his heel and takes less than ten steps away. His sword is still in the Warrior's hand.
"This character," he says of the scroll hung behind his seat, the one on which YQY has written heart, "holds the secret to his sword. Is that what you said, Shizun?"
"Yes."
"So many people want to kill me, Shizun. I know why. This too is something I've always known," Luo Binghe says quietly. "What's curious is why there is a man who doesn't want me dead, when my own Shizun will suffer heartbreak itself to kill me. Have you figured it out?"
"Not quite."
"May this disciple examine it?"
"...Of course."
He examines the character for a very long time.
"I see it now!" the Emperor exclaims. "As the Broken Sword understands me, I understand him. In my tyranny, I am strong. I am the only person strong enough to keep this country together. As long as I am alive, his world will keep going. His sword, his brush, his heart—it's all one in the same. It's all right here. Destroy one, you destroy the others."
"When you die, he will die too."
"No, Shizun." Luo Binghe's voice is so, so sad. "When I die, his heart will die too. It's the same for this disciple too. Killing me may bring Shizun heartbreak, but it will destroy my heart completely. Shizun, please. Please don't kill me."
"Turn around, Binghe."
When Luo Binghe turns, Shen Yuan has set LQG's corpse on its back and placed Cheng Luan in LQG's hands. His smile for LBH is sad.
"If you hadn't killed Liu Qingge, I really might have spared you," Shen Yuan says, wielding LBH's sword. "But now that he's gone...Binghe, this Master is sorry to have failed you. But I promise, it'll all be fine. The pain will go away quickly."
"Shizun..."
The sword is at LBH's chest. He thinks that even though it's his sword, he doesn't recognize it at all.
Shen Yuan wipes a tear from LBH's face.
"Binghe," he says, lifting the blade, "silly child. I wouldn't have stabbed you from the back."
He sinks the blade into Luo Binghe's heart. Everything shatters.
//
"Senior Disciple Shen!"
"It's self-destruct!"
"He's killed him! Luo Binghe's killed Senior Disciple Shen!"
Shen Qingqiu's head snaps up to where, in the sky, Shen Yuan's limp body had started to fall. He moves on instinct to go catch Shen Yuan, but he coughs up a violent fit of blood instead, falling back into Yue Qingyuan's arms.
"Xiao Jiu!" There's blood on Yue Qingyuan's lips as well and his face is ashen, but he's clearly been awake for longer than SQQ. "Don't—"
"Save him!" SQQ tries to yell. All of a sudden, a shadow speeds over their heads, catching Shen Yuan's limp body before it could hit the ground.
It's Liu Qingge. He's both furious and panicked. He has the dying Shen Yuan in one arm while in his other arm, he held another body.
"Up," Shen Yuan whispers, fading quickly, "Binghe. Quick, he's waking."
"Take care of yourself first!" Liu Qingge snaps. "I brought the body like you said—"
"Shixiong, please. I promised not to hurt him."
Teeth gritted, LQG launches them all the way up to the center of a miasmic black, where LBH hovers, surrounded by demonic energy. There's an immense blanket of demonic energy lifting from the earth, and people are screaming and running about.
"What's going on?! Where did all this demonic energy come from?!"
"Is he cursing us?!"
"No, no it's going away! Look! Senior Disciple Shen must have done something!"
"Has he saved us?"
LBH's eyes snap open and the first thing he does is attack. LQG just barely blocks the blow with both his arms occupied. There are tears on LBH's face and he's putting out an insane amount of demonic energy. He's screaming as he launches himself at Shen Yuan.
Shen Yuan grabs LBH back with the last of his strength, gives LBH a firm but loving shake.
"Binghe!" he demands. "Watch."
LBH freezes and does as he's told. He watches as the last bit of life drains from Shen Yuan's body. He watches as LQG releases Shen Yuan's corpse into his arms. He watches as something goes white at his side, and it's LQG activating an array on the other body.
LBH watches as the pieces of SY's soul find a home again in the second body, which suddenly pulses bright with spiritual power. The body opens its eyes and takes a huge, gasping breath.
"Shen Yuan?" LQG demands to know.
"Shizun...?"
The person in the body lets out a little sigh of relief. He grabs LQG with one hand and LBH with the other.
"See, Binghe?" he chuckles weakly. "I told you it'll all be fine."
He faints.
//
The full story comes at the end. Shen Jiu still gets taken in and abused by Qiu Jianluo, Yue Qi still binds his life to his sword at Cang Qiong. Only, SJ's first strike against QJL mostly misses, and as QJL approaches SJ in fury, another little houseboy—the one who dusts and sweeps and mops but none of the hard work because he was born with a sickly body—holds out his broom and trips QJL. He means for SJ to get away, but SJ kills QJL instead. SJ still sets the house on fire, but he has no idea if the other houseboy got away.
After reuniting with YQY and entering Cang Qiong as a disciple, SJ is working in the field one day when he stumbles on a Master Shang's Medical Emporium. There's an incredible amount of rare flora and fauna in there, all great for cultivators. Intrigued, SQQ investigates and finds the source of all these goods to be a young man named SY—whom he recognizes. He swears SY to secrecy about his past and takes SY to Qing Jing, first to prevent SY from exposing him, but then they grow close. SY is very clever and knows how to make himself useful to SQQ. His level-headedness earns him a spot by seventeen at SQQ's side as senior disciple.
Flash forward to LBH's arrival on Qing Jing. SQQ is still cold and spiteful and petty, but with SY there, LBH is cared for. SY's older than LBH by what, five years? Takes baby!bing under his wing and mitigates the sour relationship between LBH and SQQ. As a joke (but not really), LBH calls SY "Shizun" in private, and SY gets a real kick out of it.
The thing is, SY is still totally a transmigrator. But just like Shang Qinghua, he transmigrated into a baby's body and basically had a whole other life in this world. Seventeen, eighteen years is a very long time to remember a novel you read a lifetime ago. While SQH's life changed, SQH's only a minor character—plus that's the author! Maybe he gets special privileges, while nobody else is allowed to influence the plot in a major way. Scared of potential repercussions, SY trains LBH and gives LBH as many resources on Qing Jing as he can, but does not tell LBH about the upcoming Abyss.
So SQQ still ends up kicking LBH into the Abyss. SY is filled with incredible regret. The relationship between him and SQQ go kind of awry too, but it's still mostly okay because SY knows LBH is not actually dead.
Just to level the playing field though, SY also doesn't tell SQQ that LBH is going to come back for revenge.
All this while, SY and LQG get to meet and become really good friends. Out of friendship comes love—they both crush on each other in a way that's super obvious to everybody else. SY isn't actually a very strong cultivator, but he is a voracious scholar (cough nerd cough) and hunts/forages a lot of wild stuff. LQG accompanies him every time.
Thanks to SY's training, LBH comes back from the Abyss a lot earlier than SY and SQH expected. LBH seeks out SY, but bad timing has him overhearing SY talk about how LBH dying at the Abyss was for the best—LBH assumes it's bc of his demon bloodline, but SY is really just placating other characters. On top of that, LBH finds SY and LQG all couply and lovey-dovey. LBH runs off.
Because why??? Why does everyone he cares about leave him, why does the entire world want him dead??? Even Shen-shixiong, somebody who cared for him, betrays him in the end. SQQ also gets word of LBH's return at around the same time and comes to hunt him down. In classic SQQ fashion, he only makes shit worse for Binghe, and LBH starts using Xin Mo like crazy.
When they get the word, YQY, SY, and LQG go running. SY learns about LBH being taken over by Xin Mo and asks LQG for a favor—go to my hidden lil mushroom grove and grab my spare body for me please? See, SY's physical ailments had him researching ways to clone himself and put himself in a better body. It's untested, but probably successful!! SY sends LQG to go get the body while himself and YQY and SQQ confront LBH.
During the battle, SQQ gets himself seriously wounded to protect Qi-ge. In a fit of fury, YQY unsheathes half of Xuan Su. LBH goes crazier as a response, and SY throws himself on the sword to save LBH from being eaten up by Xin Mo's power.
Believing he's killed the love of his life, LBH blue-screens. Unconsciously, he activates one of the most powerful skills the Dream Demon's taught him—Waking Dream. He plunges the entire mountain into a dream world of his own making. The world freezes, and everybody gets trapped inside LBH's world. They have no memory of this being a dream, but the few of the most powerful cultivators—LQG, SQQ, and YQY—plus the heart of the dream, SY, all manage to retain one critical piece of information.
As long as the owner of the dream dies, they can all be freed.
So in the dream, LBH becomes the Emperor, wielding all his forces to retain his power over his dream country. LQG, SQQ, YQY, and SY become assassins, all scheming to kill him.
YQY came the closest. He only has half of Xuan Su because Xuan Su is fundamentally bound to his life—half of the sword stayed outside in the real world with his body. Inside the dream, YQY and SQQ got to be lovers for years, and SQQ did not hate him. Upon sensing the boundaries of the dream, YQY could not bring himself to kill LBH and shatter the beautiful mirage.
If you die inside the dream, you die in real life—with one exception. If it's the owner of the dream who kills you, you get to go free.
That's what happened with LQG. LQG was still en route with the body, and SY didn't know if he'd make it. So SY was honest in the dream—had LQG remained in the dream with them, SY might really have allowed his baby bing to keep the dream going. He didn't want to hurt LBH with his own death. However, with LQG out of the dream, he knows LQG will probably make it on time with the body to save him. So he kills LBH and gets them all out.
The last scene is qijiu. SQQ is bed-bound. Nobody else has retained memories of the dream, only faint impressions. Only he and YQY know what happened.
SQQ demands to know why YQY refused to kill LBH. YQY explains, and the truth about Xuan Su also comes out. Happy ending happy ending.
SY of course survives. He gets a cool new body and apologizes sincerely for letting LBH get pushed into the Abyss. The plot has obviously changed in a major way already, and whatever happens from now on will just happen, it's fine. And LBH and LQG, his two favorite people in the world, will just have to get along. They'll all be best buds together hahahahahaha.

SV’s Quick Transmigration System
I love system fics and i love clowning shen jiu but i don’t have time to write.
Shen Jiu’s life was one misery after another.
[Don’t be like that, Host! This is a blessing! You can change your fate!]
Even though Shen Jiu didn’t remember what happened in his life before he entered this Xinghai space, he was absolutely, positively, certain that his life was one misery after another, one calamity following the previous, a neverending shitshow of Bad.
Why else would he be here, after all?
[The sealing of your memories was part of the price that you had agreed to pay in order for the chance to change your fate. The other part is to go through four different worlds and complete the tasks pertaining to each world’s Target given to you, by me, in order to cultivate the Good Karma Points needed to return to your world! I am System Airplane, ready at your service.]
Right
and what if Shen Jiu decided to not cooperate?
[Ahh!! That’s not good, Host! If you don’t cooperate, you’ll be stuck in the Xinghai space forever!]
A tasteless outcome, even more so than the idea of having to do tasks for others.
[You agreed to this
] System Airplane seemed like it was sulking.
“The me of the past may have agreed to this, but I currently do not,” Shen Jiu said petulantly.
[Why are you so difficult!] System Airplane whined. [You’re already stuck here! You can’t get out without completing the worlds! What else can you do?]
What else could Shen Jiu do indeed?
-o-
The man in front of him looked almost breathtakingly familiar, despite the fact that Shen Jiu didn’t have his memories.
It was probably memories that came with the body, like a cheap bargain sale. Buy this and get an additional something else.
It had been around two days since he had arrived in this particular world but System Airplane still had not given Shen Jiu any tasks. Instead, he had tried telling Shen Jiu about the world in general, and who Shen Jiu was supposed to be. Shen Jiu tuned him out, not understanding why he needed to know anything in order to complete his tasks.
Yes, Shen Jiu agreed to the world hopping, but that didn’t mean he was going to be nice about it.
“Xiao Jiu
” the man in front of him said. The name did not sit well with Shen Jiu, and so of course he voiced out his opinions.
“Call me that name again and I will break your fingers.”
[HOST!!! That’s the Target of this world! Why are you being so mean to him!]
Why should Shen Jiu be nice to a man he didn’t know? Speaking of which,
“And who are you again?”
The man looked stricken and then, almost immediately after, guilty.
“I’m sorry, Xiao Jiu,” he said. “I--”
“At least have the courtesy of calling me by my name,” Shen Jiu said. Shen Jiu had forgotten the name he was supposed to assume in this world and was too proud to ask System Airplane about it. This was a good time as any to figure out what that name was.
“...Qiu Qingjiu,” the man said. Wow! What a shitty name.
“Oh second thought just call me A-Jiu,” Shen Jiu said. The man’s entire face seemed to light up with a fragile hope. Shen Jiu’s next words ground that hope into dust.
“Seriously, who the hell are you?”
-o-
The man never told Shen Jiu who he was.
[Host, he is Yue Qingyuan, used to be known as Yue Qi or Qi’ge, and he is your childhood friend! You were in the same orphanage together! When he left the orphanage, he made a promise to come back for you but you waited for five years to no avail! Little did you know, he had gotten into a serious accident and was in a coma and then rehabilitation for those five years and when he came back for you, you weren’t there at all! Then the both of you were -- are currently being actually -- reunited in University! I told you this!]
It must have slipped Shen Jiu’s mind.
[You weren’t listening at all, weren’t you!? It was such a masterfully crafted tale too, perfectly setting up the tumultuous relationship of misunderstanding between the both of you!]
Shen Jiu didn’t care. He just wanted to know what the task was.
System Airplane grumbled about Shen Jiu not being able to appreciate good literature, which was untrue. Shen Jiu was completely able to understand good literature, but not this dogblood shit sort of story. After all, he has been--
What had he been?
Before he could dwell any more on his confusion, System Airplane gave him his task.
--
Task: Join the Literature Faculty Club.
Reward: 5 Good Karma Points
Do you accept?
Yes / Yes
--
Shen Jiu wondered just what his answer would be.
Why was the system giving options if the options were the same?!
[Illusion of choice.]
Fuck you.
-o-
Yue Qingyuan was in the Literature Faculty Club because of course he was. Why had Shen Jiu ever entertained the thought of otherwise?
-o-
When the club meeting ended, Shen Jiu was the first to leave the room.
“Xi-- A-Jiu, wait!”
Shen Jiu didn’t wait. Shen Jiu was gone.
the idea is that shen jiu has to go into 4 different worlds to complete tasks pertaining to a “target”
1st world: yue qingyuan (modern day, rich heir) 2nd world: liu qingge (those space opera things with giant alien insects called zergs) 3rd world: luo binghe (zombie apocalypse)  4th world: mu qingfang (relaxing fantasy world shen jiu is really grateful for)
he has to do nice things for them like help them and save their life. but he gets to be prickly throughout it all which leads to funny ideas like he’s a tsundere and stuff.
i.e. 2nd world
sj: i’ll kill you, you asshole. mark my words the first chance you get i’ll absolutely obliterate you  sj: (helps lqg, risks his own life to save lqg, always covering up for lqg’s impulsiveness)  sj: i hate you and you’re dead to me  lqg: h
so later on the “5th” world is the scum villain world where he regains his memory and gets to change his fate of death
but wait!
the other 4 people gain memories of their individual world too!
chaos
as you can tell, the system is airplane bro (lol) and it’s sort of after-canon for the original scum villain story. sometimes system airplane has to do something and so system cucumber has to come and help. one time, there’s system mobei. system mobei is shen jiu’s favorite. he allows shen jiu to kill things.
other things:
after sqq returns back to his world: sqq: system i understand why lbh, yqy, and lqg are targets... but why mqf?  system: by popular request
mu qingfang’s world is the most peaceful world sj has ever had.
friend: sqq behaves as an actual tsundere once by accident bc he found himself reluctantly kind of fond of this peaceful life with this not a complete and total dumbass. for witnessing this mistake he came to actually hate mqf
me: hes so sad he has to die........ but alas the moment he said "its not like i did this for you or anything!!!" with a blush and caught himself, he realized that He Had To Die Right This Instant
Sqq: well around that person i feel like i want to see them happy, i feel troubled when theyre sad, i want to protect them, i want to help them, and i want to spend time with them Mqf: oh... do you want to kiis them? Sqq: (thinks) Sqq: nah Sqq: so what disease have i contracted Mqf: you just want to be their friend? Sqq: Sqq: i see.
(Next day) Sqq found dead in a ditch
can’t contract feelings if you’re dead!

SV ch.54
EVERYBODY STAY CALM, IT’S NOT A DRILL, LBH ALREADY SAID “SHIZUN” TO SHIZUN’S FACE   F I N A L L Y   i can’t believe it’s happening, what a time to be alive siohfiosjiej
EDIT: i just noticed that the chapter’s title is “unhappy reunion”. now i’m scared. what did i expect? *sighs*
EDIT 2: OKAY I HONESTLY FEEL LIKE I COULD FAINT IN A SEC.
Liu Qingge withdrew his sword. He swayed and seemed to be somewhat dizzy. Pointing at Luo Binghe, he said, “You, let him go.”
Luo Binghe dragged Shen Qingqiu into his arms and said impatiently, “What did you say?”
THIS
THIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIS
LBH IS SO CREEPILY GIDDY (i love you so much babe), SQQ IS LIKE “what did i do wrong in my life -wait, i died. two times” AND LIU QINGGE IS HAVING AND EMOTIONAL BREAKDOWN ‘CAUSE SQQ IS BACK (i mean, these two, take lbh out of the picture and they’d be so beautiful together! since lbh is there i can’t ship sqq with him, BUT- BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT)
EDIT 3:
Shen Qingqiu was the type of person who was amenable to coaxing but not to coercion. However, now he felt as though his face had been slapped twice when he realized that Luo Binghe had only been pretending.
i smell angst. i jus wanted these two t meet again and hug. just that. IS IT TOO MUCH TO ASK WTH
shizun, lbh LoVeS yOu-
EDIT 4: everyone is angry at sqq for what he did, IF ONLY THEY KNEW, like, i know they’re just frustrated and feel betrayed but sqq had his reasons!! i don’t want them to hate him, especially liu qingge!! plsssss pls just hug him and let him deal with lbh, only shizun can!
EDIT 5:
Shen Qingqiu turned around to look at the person behind him and said, “Luo Binghe, you said you came to Cang Qiong Mountain Sect to catch me.”
Luo Binghe said: “Correct.”
Shen Qingqiu said, “You’ve caught me.” Your goal has been achieved. It’s time to withdraw.
Luo Binghe looked at him and said, “You won’t run away?”
“
” Shen Qingqiu nodded slowly: “I won’t run away.”
(*takes a deep breath*
CAN WE JUST-
DO THEY-
AM I-
JAOFUW’OEIF’WOEIGFWOE
I THINK I’M HAVING AN EMOTIONAL BREAKDOWN LIKE LQG, GUYS.)
Liu Qingge said: “You’re afraid of being a burden on Cang Qiong Mountain sect but Cang Qiong Mountain sect isn’t necessarily afraid of this burden.”
Luo Binghe sneered: “How many unbroken ribs do you have left?”
(three lines and you go from AWWWWW LQG!!! to YESSS LBH SHIZUN IS YOURS AND THAT’S ALL!)
EDIT 6: BETWEEN YUE QINGYUAN AND YINGYING, I DON’T KNOW WHO’LL MAKE ME CRY FIRST??? so much love and worry for sqq, omg, they are gold characters, these cuties, they love shizun so much! if only they knew that sqq is safer in lbh’s hands than anywhere else... probably? maybe? i mean, lbh sufered terribly for his death, he wouldn’t kill him even under torture!
dark side of me: there are worse things than death
me: uuuuugh shutupokay-
EDIT 7: lbh is still arguing about the corpse!! just leave it, lbh, your shizun won’t go jumping from corpse to corpse like you are suggesting!!!
EDIT 8:
This meant that while the two sides were gathered in the hall, bickering with each other, some unknown person or persons had secretly sneaked inside past all of their defenses, and stolen Shen Qingqi’s corpse right from under the noses of the leaders of the human cultivators and demons. What a scary thought!
(i bet whatever you want it was snake-buddy. IT WAS SNAKE BUDDY, I AM SURE
THAT’S WHEN LBH’LL FIND OUT ABOUT SOMEONE ELSE’S BLOOD IN SQQ OMG IT’S GONNA BE SO FUNNY ASOIJFOIWJRIFOWR)
Shen Qingqiu wondered: What’s up with people trying to steal his corpse? How come when he was alive no one wanted him but when he was dead he was in high demand?
(BABE, that’s how the world works, you always become important in ppl’s eyes when you go away. but wait, actually, EVERYONE LOVED YOU EVEN BEFORE, YOU WERE JUST INCREDIBLY BLIND)
EDIT 9:
Liu Qingge looked up and his hand clenched so tightly on the sword’s hilt that his palm was cut and blood dripped down the blade.
He stood there frozen for a long time but could only spit out a single word: “Wait!”
This word was thrown out like an icy dart yet full of fury and an overpowering desire to fight.
Luo Binghe sheathed the Heart Devil sword and smiled grimly: “Let’s go!”
okay, i can’t wait for the tension between these two to freaking snap and kill us all omg
just look. lqg is so worried for sqq and so angry at lbhbut knows he can’t do anything rn and lbh is all giddy and smirking and yet so tender and resolute when it comes to shizun, is this how the fandom splits in two teams?
OH, OH I NEED TO ASK YOU THIS!! WHO DO YOU SHIP SHIZUN WITH, LQG OR LBH? BOTH?

SV ch.53
where did this chapter come out from? when? HOW? is it funny to make me go batshit crazy when i have to study?
Just why did the gossip spread everywhere, including the border territory, to the point that even the flowery love songs on the streets used them as material? It was as if he and Luo Binghe had been caught having sex in front of everyone in the entire world!
thaaaaaat- nope, lbh wants you all for himself and his eyes only :3
EDIT: okay, you know, those moments when shizun outsmart people who are supposedly deadlier than him- IS THIS POWER I FEEL? no one is better than shizun, guys. WOW.
EDIT 2: you can RENT flying swords! I WANNA HAVE ONE OF THOSE, TOO
EDIT 3:
In the end, he still used Zhuzhi-Lang’s money. Shen Qingqiu placed his palms together and thanked his dear friend before he sped off on the flying sword towards Cang Qiong Mountain.
(IS SHIZUN GOING HOME)
Shen Qingqiu nodded. The person spoke again. “It’s probably not very good to go now, right?”
Shen Qingqiu’s heart tightened, and he asked, “Why is it not very good?”
The person shared a glance with the others around him. “Do you not know? This mountain has already been surrounded for two days.”
(IT’S LBH TRYING TO GET HIS SHIZUN BACK. I CAN FEEL IT IN MY BONES)
EDIT 4:
It seemed like Luo Binghe already felt that it wasn’t worth hiding his identity anymore. Shen Qingqiu wasn’t surprised. The original Luo Binghe had exposed his own lineage at around the same time.
well. at least lbh is true to his own identity. *looks pointedly at sqq*
EDIT 5: OKAY, I THINK WE REACHED AN IMPORTANT BREAK POINT.
we have yue qingyuan, liu qingge and luo binghe in one room and you just feel tension dancing in the air and stilling everything else -all this with shizun secretly peeking at them and IF HE DOESN’T COME OUT WITH THE TRUTH  N O W  I’LL STRANGLE HIM
Luo Binghe stood darkly at the other side of the hall.
He wore all black, which contrasted against his skin, making it seem so pale that it glowed. His eyes were extremely black, but also extremely bright. His expression was cold, and the aura around him made people feel anxious and uneasy. Mobei-Jun stood behind him, and although it was the position of a deputy, he still held his head slightly higher, just like an arrogant ice sculpture who naturally belonged there.
i absolutely love lbh’s descriptions. AND FINALLY THIS FAMOUS MOBEI-JUN SHOWED UP.
let all hell break loose
EDIT 6: ppl accusing lbh of shizun’s death just kill every good feeling i have left for humanity. HOW DARE YOU. H O W. YOU KNOW NOTHING.
EDIT 7:
Shen Qingqiu just knew that they would have this attitude. It was precisely because Cang Qiong Mountain would definitely do all that it could to protect his body that Shen Qingqiu had to come back.
what a wonderful feeling is this. omg guys i got emotional, how beautiful is this sect, I AM CRYING. but i can’t help thinking about how he’ll break the news? like, “ehy, thank you for being so devoted in keeping my body sfe and all, but i’m actually alive”?
and ppl ask me why i love this novel? ptf
EDIT 8:
The corner of Luo Binghe’s mouth tugged, his smile ice-cold. He lowered his head and said unhurriedly, “I will not personally act against Cang Qiong Mountain. Nor will I kill a single member from the Cang Qiong Mountain sect. But what I do have is time that I can slowly waste.”
Those two words, ‘slowly waste,’ smashed crisply into Shen Qingqiu’s ears. Suddenly, his entire heart sunk.
Luo Binghe absolutely wasn’t somebody who would fight a battle of words with you this politely. With the pressure of unconditional strength, he had no inclination of feigning civility. If he wanted something from a particular sect, he would use the most direct and effective method to do so: bloodbath, massacre, and then take it away. But for Luo Binghe to actually waste two entire days so patiently like this—it didn’t seem like he was in a leisurely and carefree mood, but rather as if he was waiting for something.
I MAY BE CRAZY
BUT
IS LBH WAITING FOR HIM TO SHOW UP?
IS HE?
IS HE?
*screams*
EDIT 9:
Such as, waiting for Shen Qingqiu himself to come out.
okay, i only had to read a bit more.
OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OH MY GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD
I GOT CHILLS UP MY ARMS AND BACK. C H I L L S.
i’m screaming. omg i’m too excited to keep reading soigjwoirkopsavw
EDIT 10: okay, why is shang qinghua on mobei-jun’s side? how did it happen whattttttt-
EDIT 11:
Yang Yixuan clenched his fists and said, “Shizun, you fought that demon for a whole day already!”
Liu Qingge lowered his voice. “Step back.”
(AAAAAAH SEEING THESE TWO TOGETHER!!)
Luo Binghe glanced at him and chuckled before he said quietly, “My defeated opponent.”
low blow, lbh, low blow-
EDIT 12:
However, in the end, the two swords did not cross blades again.
Shen Qingqiu stood in between the two of them. Both of their sword energies swept up and collided, instantly slicing the bamboo hat that he was originally wearing just for show into two halves. He caught Cheng Luan’s sword edge between two fingertips of his left hand, not allowing Liu Qingge to advance a single inch; his right hand firmly restrained the hand that Luo Binghe had already placed on the Heart Devil sword’s hilt, not allowing him to draw the sword.
SHIZUN IS SO FREAKING COOL, HE WAS SWIFT AND STOPPED THEN WITH EASY, JUST LOOK AT HIM. I AM FANGIRLING SO HARD RIGHT NOW OADOISAJFOIAEK
EDIT 13:
Shen Qingqiu looked to the left before he looked to the right. He didn’t have a chance to say that line yet when Luo Binghe suddenly flipped over his hand and grabbed Shen Qingqiu’s wrist, and it felt as if an icy band was wrapped sturdily around his wrist. The smile on his face was near distorted, and he said, one word at a time, “Caught you. Shizun.”
AND IT HAPPENED
MY HEART BURST OUT OF MY CHEST
AND LAUGHING AND SCREAMING LIKE CRAZY
HE KNOOOOOOOOOWS
YES OMG YES YES YES
“Caught you. Shizun”
sĂČdalkjfpwjfpowkfpowrkeofpwrISAOJDIOGFJEIOW I CAN’T-
EDIT 14: LIU QINGGE’S REACTION. AWWWWWW.
EDIT 15:
shizun tries to talk to his friends with “hello, yes, i’m alive, aren’t you happy” but lbh is jealous and “no no no where are you looking, i’m right here shizun” and turns him toward himself.
Shen Qingqiu didn’t get to continue speaking before a hand turned his face away.
Luo Binghe said, “You’re finally willing to come out now?”
“yes lbh, i’m gay for you, let’s get married”
the end.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
