[bags walks in the the lounge looking to read his book but unfortunately there is a fight happening courtesy of connie and vee]
Vee: HE'LL ENJOY MY GIFT!
Connie: NO MINE I'VE KNOWN HIM LONGER!
Vee: WELL I MADE HIM LAUGH MORE!
Connie: WELL I MAKE SURE HE SLEEPS EVERYNIGHT!
[bags isn't gonna have some alone time in a while so he'd rather leave and see what stuff dandy is gonna scam with this time]
dandy: wanna buy a watch?
bags: no.
Vee (in another room): YOU CAN HAVE MY LOVE FOR FREE
Connie (in another room): NO YOU CAN HAVE MINE
bags: oh boy
Y/N: “Well, what else do you got?”
Tumblr media
Dandy: “I do have these gumballs as another option.”
You pinched your nose(?) in irritation in your head. Of course he decided to give you nothing this around, last time he had an all-star selection when you just needed a gift for Glisten. Dandy was kinda a wildcard when it came to his items.
You scan your eyes to the last item he had and needed to hold a gasp. A smoke bomb, that was perfect!
Y/N: “I’ll take that.”
Dandy: “Hmm, I’ll let it go for…full price.”
Y/N: “Surely you can let it go for a pal.”
Dandy: “Take me out later and then we’ll talk.”
Y/N: “Fine.”
You handed over the tapes you were meant to be saving for a rainy day and were heading on out, only to right RIGHT INTO Vee and Connie.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The two were breathing heavy as they held their respective gifts, having clearly just gave each other a clear thrashing if the bruises and ruffled hair on Connie’s side was anything.
Vee: “We..had..settled..our differences.”
Connie: “Yeah, we just..kinda..hope you like..what we have for you.”
Y/N: “Oh wow, er..thanks, you two. A Veemote and Ghost Snakes..in a Can! That’s really thought of you. Um..here, my gifts to you.”
And you just hand them some bandages.
Vee: “Thank…you..”
Vee falls over, passed out.
Connie: “Boo..tactcular…”
Connie fell over and passed out too.
Well, what were you going to do with this smoke bomb now-
Sprout: “Oh, Y/N! Where are you!”
Cosmo: “I’ve made a fresh batch of cookies, I promise I didn’t use too much sugar this time!”
Nevermind, you just found its use.

Prune Juice in Wonderland
- Prologue -
Prune Juice Cookie is in his potion laboratory with Kouign-Amann Cookie and Capsaicin Cookie who were chatting amongst themselves, while the potion-maker himself was still in the process of making something that he tried to make successful numerous times. Poor Prune Juice Cookie was already starting to get quite exhausted from stirring the cauldron ever since his friends were invited to the lab to keep him company.
“What are you trying to make this time?” asked Kouign-Amann Cookie who was starting to get so curious that she peeped into the cauldron. Prune Juice Cookie turned his head to Kouign-Amann Cookie and replied “Heh heh, I can’t say! I don’t wanna spoil it,” he then continued mixing the cauldron as Capsaicin Cookie and Kouign-Amann Cookie observe the steaming, swirling light silver liquid with glitter from inside the pot. The potion had a relaxing and fragrant aura that could put anyone to sleep, which is why Prune Juice Cookie looked extremely exhausted.
“You must be making that strength formula that I’ve been begging for, aren’t ya?” wondered Capsaicin Cookie, his guess wasn’t even that close to being correct. In fact if it were to be something related to strength, the concoction would’ve had a bold color to resemble its title. “I think it looks more like an immunity drink..! or maybe a healing one?” Kouign-Amann Cookie remarked.
The two began to make so many guesses that it was almost impossible for Prune Juice Cookie to concentrate. Luckily, the liquid from the cauldron stopped boiling, meaning that the potion was finished. Prune Juice Cookie chimed in on the conversation “Not quite to any of your guesses, but I’ll get to them soon…that is if I can make the time for it.” He then went to the shelf of his empty flask collection and searched for a small sample vial.
Prune Juice Cookie spotted the perfect vial for test samples on top of the shelf. He grabbed it and turned back to the potion with a small grin. “It’s finally done..!” He said while pouring some of the sample into the small bottle of the potion that he just brewed. Kouign-Amann Cookie and Capsaicin Cookie look at each other confused. “What is that?!” They both asked together. “If you guys want know so badly on what I just made, I’ll only tell to the both of you.” He showcased his finished potion called “The Dream Elixir.”
“This is my Dream Elixir.” Prune Juice Cookie explained “I’ve been working on this personal project for…uh, a while now to help with nightmares, repeated dreams, and you know.. all that.” Prune Juice Cookie then placed the lid on top of the cauldron. “I could definitely use some of that stuff honestly.” Capsaicin Cookie commented.
Prune Juice Cookie replied back to Capsaicin Cookie while escorting him and Kouign-Amann Cookie out of the laboratory for the night. “Heh, I’ll see if I can make an extra batch if this is approved to be safe or not so don’t worry.” Capsaicin Cookie nodded. “No pressure! We’ll see you tomorrow!” They began to part ways. “Take care you two!” Prune Juice Cookie said to them as he closed the door and locked it.
It’s now just Prune Juice Cookie and the Dream Elixir. He cleans up and puts everything back to where it rightfully belonged before heading off to sleep. Luckily, he didn’t need to clean up much because of how much time he spent all day focusing on making the dream elixir that was in need to be perfected and done. The cauldron was fine too since the lid was on top of the cauldron earlier.
After a few minutes of cleaning things up, Prune Juice Cookie was finally ready to test out the elixir. “It better work this time.” he thought to himself as he took off his hat and cape and hung them both on the coat rack. Prune Juice Cookie lied down on his bed with the dream elixir in hand and began to chug it all down.
“Please.. Let it work this time. After many attempts of trying to make the elixir successful, I…” Prune Juice Cookie didn’t even finish what he was saying and he already began drifting off to sleep because of the dream elixir.

Note
When you get inspo for your characters, are there songs associated with specific characters? And what are they?
YES! YES THERE ARE!
In fact, most of the Crown of Roses story is based off of songs. My answer to this has been crazy long- so I’ll split this into two sections. Note, I didn’t include every song here- though there are some repeats, a lot of them are in my “fun facts” ask post (which I still update from time to time!) so you can search that up for more!
1. WHAT SONGS INSPIRED THE PARTS OF THIS AU?
I’ve mentioned Penelope Scott’s “RÄT” and “Satisfied” from Hamilton enough already, so I won’t exhaust those- but these two songs are what I accredit this AU’s creation to.
Gold and Valentine’s relationship is inspired by “I Have Friends In Holy Spaces” by Panic! At the Disco. I hear that song and I can’t help but envision those sweeties dancing to it. I think I was listening to it in the shower and it solidified the dynamic between these two.
If the installment “Suave” doesn’t directly reference Vera Lynn’s “We’ll Meet Again”, it likely means I forgot to reference it. I envisioned Suave and Jessica meeting at a Toppat karaoke night, or at least with Jessica singing something. I always envisioned it as this song, and I see it as Jessica’s theme song, in a sense. Oh, and the rendition of it in Gravity Falls very much influenced a scene in Chapter 16.
As I’ve said before, Randy was originally going to feature in a spin-off comic starring Earrings as she tried to take down Sven, who was either the right-hand-man or chief post-game. His existence and personality- everything about him- came to me while I was listening to “Say My Name” from Beetlejuice: The Musical The Musical The Musical.
A scene of reference in Chapter 17 is based off of “The Wind Weeps Eleanor” by American Murder Songs (one of my favorite groups). This song is also the reason I decided on Ellie’s full name being Eleanor instead of Elizabeth. “Save Me” by Tryhardninja I want to say was another influence.
Ooh! Another Randy song! “Phantom” by NateWantsToBattle. Definitely influenced him.
“Tough To Be a God” from Road to El Dorado definitely influenced the dynamic between Randy and Suave while they’re both alive.
“Chant” from Hadestown definitely influenced Jessica and Suave- especially recently, with my obsession with “How Long?”.
“There’s No Business Like Showbusiness (Reprise 1)” from Annie Get Your Gun is a big one for the main three’s dynamic! And, well, Bernadette Peter’s portrayal of the titular Annie definitely influenced my writing of Ellie.
The biggest Queen of Flowers “oof” is based off of Hamilton’s “One Last Time”- or rather came to me while I had one of my rare listens to it (love the song, I just didn’t have animatic ideas for it and thus never really listened to it).
Love or hate the demon shows and especially this song and episode, the Hazbin Hotel’s “Poison” influenced Sven’s view of Terrence Suave, and his…life. And “Candy Store” from Heathers was my original plan for Carol!
Suave’s convincing of Reginald to join the Toppat Clan is inspired by “The Other Side” from The Greatest Showman.
Oooh, guys, batch two of Chapter 16 is based off of that scene from “Nerdy Prudes Must Die” from Nerdy Prudes Must Die. You know the one. And if you don’t, listen to it, and you’ll soon know the one.
I wanna share some Hattie influences, but, ah, that would be spoilers.
Henry’s existence was defined by “You’ll Be Back” from Hamilton…and almost all of Suave came to me while listening to “Money Game Pt. 2”, by somebody I don’t remember the name of. You’ve seen the animatic, and if you haven’t, look up “Henry Stickmin Seashell Rap”.
Anyways!
2. WHAT WOULD I DESIGNATE AS THE TRUE CHARACTER THEME SONGS?
Now, the way I’ve tried to do this is including primarily songs that make sense without the rest of their album, and are more than just the animatic ideas I may have for them. And this is actually a nice bit of exposure therapy for me!- I dislike picking definitive favorites because I worry it invalidates everything I didn’t choose, so this is a good healthy exercise for me.
If I could choose a non-musical song to “define” Crown of Roses (not the AU as a whole, but the installment), the song I would choose would be Morrissey’s “The First of the Gang To Die”.
An expected choice, I know, but I do still think “RÄT” would be Ellie’s theme song.
Penelope Scott yet again, though I never got around to exploring Dr. Vinschpinselstein the way I wanted to, the characterization of her was meant to be inspired by “American Healthcare”. Though unexplored in the comic, I do think part of why she left the clan was the helpless feeling being around so much death gave her as a medic.
I want to say Carol Cross is “Poker Face” by Lady Gaga so badly. So badly. But alas, I think “Waiting in the Wings” from Tangled: The Series is more accurate.
Charles would 100% be “Let Me Make You Proud” from Tangled: The Series! Poor kid…the reprise fits him pretty well, as well.
The choice I’m most confident in has to be “Daddy” by AJJ for Jacob. Warning for brief references to CSA in the song.
Terrence Suave, take your pick, is “Blood // Water” by grandson or “Christmas Kids” by ROAR.
Hmmm, I’ll say “Hole In The Bottom of My Brain” by AJR for Randy!
Sven could be “Loose Lips” by Kimya Dawson, or “Blue Lips” by Regina Spektor…I think his relationship with Randy is definitely “Silhouettes”.
Miss Demeanor, fully based off of Heather Macnamera, is “Lifeboat” from Heathers.
Oh! Gold would be “The Man I Used to Be” from The Count of Monte Cristo.
Though I considered Cavetown’s “Boys Will Be Bugs”, I’m sticking with “Truce” by twenty one pilots for Burt.
@oreothefox715’s Wolf, 100%, is “The Crooked, The Cradle” by the Crane Wives.
Oooh, Lefty is a hard one. I’d love to say weevildoing’s “AUDIT” or The Living Tombstone’s “Drunk”,
Jessica is, as I mentioned above, “We’ll Meet Again” by Vera Lynn. Her relationship with her husband? “No Children” by The Mountain Goats.
Speaking of The Mountain Goats, I’m thinking “Love, Love, Love” for Lefty.
I’d love to make an My Chemical Romance reference for Wilting but I don’t listen to enough MCR for that.
EDIT: I just listened to all of “Welcome to the Black Parade” for the first time, and it actually fits Wilting pretty well. I’ve decided this is his theme song.
Reginald is a very hard one. Though, as funny as this may initially sound, I unironically think Caleb Hyles’s rendition of Ponyphonic’s “Lullaby For a Princess” fits him insanely well. I actually think this was a suggestion by @dimitrismaplesyrup ages ago.
Anyone is allowed to steal ideas from this list for animatics. Obviously. It’s an order, actually. Make me animatics.
EDIT 2: If “RÄT” is the theme song for the AU as a whole (or at least Queen of Thorns), Mother Mother’s “Hayloft II” is the Crown of Roses installment’s theme song.

"Happy Birthday, Leona!"
Title: "Happy Birthday, Leona!"
Parings: Leona Kingscholar x Twisted Wonderland Male OC (Mirai Yuhara)
Summary:
With Leona's Birthday being tomorrow, Mirai, Grim, and the guys at Savanaclaw try to throw Leona the best surprise Birthday Party, but suddenly things go haywire with only three hours to spare. Will they make it in time, or utterly fail?
cw: A bit of crude humor, but nothing extreme. Kissing, surprise parties, flowers and their meanings, fluff and humor
a/n: It's been a while, gosh I miss writing for these two. This was so much fun to do, and it wasn't even supposed to be this long. The creative juices started flowing, and the next thing I knew, parts that I was supposed to keep short and sweet were flushed out, and the next thing i knew, this thing was twenty pages long and 7k words.
a/n: Idk why, but for some reason, the tune that came to mind while writing the rap was the tune to the Pixies rap from the Fairly Odd Parents lololol. 。゚(TヮT)
Happy Birthday, Leona! Thanks for coming home twice this month with both your SSRs! (*˘︶˘*).。.:*♡ I'll also make a banner for this later.
Reblogs are appreciated, just use my custom tag, #TheMaladaptiveWriter12, if you do!  (─‿‿─)♡

Leona’s Birthday was in a couple more hours, and let’s just say, this was the calmest surprise Birthday party planning Mirai has ever done. Well, that’s what he thought. Now they were on a time crunch and he honestly didn’t know if they would make midnight on time.
Everything was going great, smooth even, but then things went downhill after the first batch of cupcakes were left in the oven to burn.
“Guys?” Jaxton, a Jackal Beastman, asked wearily, “What’s that smell?”
“I don’t know,” Garfield, a Cat Beastman, said.
Mirai sniffed the air, stopping his task of tying ribbons into bows, trying to decipher what the scent was, when suddenly it hit him. “The cupcakes!”
Mirai, Ruggie, and a group of other Beastmen rushed to the kitchen to see the oven billowing with smoke.
“Ta-Take them out,” Jack yelled.
Mirai ripped open the oven and reached in to grab the pan before a series of shouts stopped him.
“Wh-What? What?!” Mirai shouted, turning to look at the group.
“You were just gonna grab those with your hand?!” Jack yelled.
“Of course not,” Mirai yelled.
“You literally just stuck your hand in the oven,” Ruggie shouted.
“I was using my prosthetic!”
The room went silent, the look on their faces was as if they found the dumbest species on Twisted Wonderland.
“Ya’know,” Ruggie started, “I thought you were gonna say something that implied I missed the oven mitt on your hand or somethin’, but this just confirms your stupidity and my point.”
“Hey,” Mirai shouted.
“Guys,” Garfield yelled, “They’re still in the oven!”
“Shoot!” Mirai snatched the pan and whirled around, trying to figure out what to do with it. “Wh-What do I do with it?! What do I do with it?!”
“Put it in the sink,” multiple guys yelled, “In the sink!”
“The window! Throw it out the window,” others panicked.
Mirai panicked and just threw the pan across the room, and just his luck, it clattered out the window, burnt cupcakes tumbling out onto the floor, into the sink, and the rest with the pan onto the ground below.
“Why'dja throw it out the window?!” Jack shouted.
“I don’t know! I panicked,” Mirai cried.
“Y'all wanna wake the boss with all this yellin’?!” Sergi, a Serval Beastman, scolded, popping his head into the kitchen. “Keep it down!”
The group in the kitchen quieted, a shared look of embarrassment coloring their faces. It was true, if the burnt smell of cake didn’t wake Leona, their yelling sure would.
“I-It doesn’t matter,” Garfield said, after a beat of silence, “It smelled anyways! We’ll get it later. What we need is another batch of cupcakes!”
“I got it,” Mirai said, already grabbing the utensils. “There was some batter left over. We can use that, then make some more.”
“I’ll help,” Jaxton offered, grabbing the ingredients.
“Ruggie,” someone called, “We need some help over here!”
“Coming,” Ruggie answered, leaving the kitchen with a small wave.
Jack and a couple of others followed behind him, and as for the rest, they stuck around to help with the baking.
“We need to get this burnt sugar smell outta the dorm,” Azizi, a Kudu Beastman, said. “If we could smell it out there, there’s no doubt Leona can in his room.”
“Well, what do we do?” Jaxton asked, “If we spray some air freshener, all it's gonna do is mix. And Boss hates that stuff.”
“Baking soda, lemon, or coffee grounds,” Alfonz, a Leopard Beastman supplied. “I looked it up. We got any of that?”
“Baking soda! Here,” Azizi said, shoving the tin into Alfonz’ hands. “And Lemons!”
The Leopard grabbed a small bowl and dished out a couple of spoonfuls of baking soda and to top it off, shave a sprinkle or two of lemon zest on the top.
“Ima go set this outside his door and hope for the best,” Alfonz said, picking up the bowl. “You guys can set some out here and in the lounge. Be right back.”
Alfonz left the kitchen and Azizi went to litter the place with baking soda. Mirai on the other hand looked at the clock and gasped when it read nine thirty-seven.
“We’re not gonna make it,” Mirai whined, furiously mixing a bowl of cake batter.
“If ya keep on talking like that, then we definitely won’t,” Rover, a Dog Beastman, gruffed as he rushed by the kitchen with some party supplies in his hands.
“Anyone else need to add a gift?!” Ruggie asked, stacking the gifts carefully on the gift table. “Because once I finish this, your gift goes on the floor.”
“Me! Me,” Mirai shouted, rushing to put the tray of cupcakes in the oven before rushing out the kitchen.
In the Lounge things were a mess. Streamers and confetti was all over the place, balloons and ribbons hung precariously from the banisters, and there still was no cake. Grim, on the other hand, was no help at all, snoozing away on one of the vacant chairs, a pillow over his head.
“Here,” Mirai said, handing his little box over.
Ruggie smiled and placed Mirai’s gift securely on top of his gift tower. “Perfect.”
Mirai smiled looking around the room, yeah it was a complete mess, but who this mess was for made everything worth it.
“Has anyone seen the ‘Ps’ for the Happy Birthday sign?!” Luan, a Lion Beastman, yelled.
“Did you check the closet?” James, a Wolf Beastman, asked.
“I wouldn’t be asking if I did!”
“Where’s Chi-Chi?” Ikemba, a Boar Beastman, asked. “I need him to crawl behind the shelf to plug this in.”
“You calling me small?!” Chiumbo, a Meerkat Beastman, yelled.
“Well, I certainly can’t fit behind there.”
“Give it to me,” the Meerkat pouted, crawling behind the thing.
“Anything else you all need us to carry,” Jack asked, entering the lounge area, a group of stronger Beastmen following close behind.
“Not that I know of,” Raphael, a Mountain Lion Beastman, said from his spot on the floor.
The fact that Leona had so many people who care for him, to plan a surprise Birthday party in the middle of the night, made the Prefect’s heart swell with joy. Thinking back on the day, Mirai couldn’t help but laugh to himself, wondering how they even pulled any of this off.
Ruggie started the day off cleaning His Royal Highness’ room. He wanted to make sure Leona felt as comfortable as possible for his big day tomorrow, and that also ensured that he could sleep undisturbed for as long as he wanted, without having to come in and clean. Also, for what was to come later, they didn’t need to be stepping on discarded homework, sweaty gym clothes, expensive jewelry that should not have been left on the floor, or Leona’s worn unmentionables. Ruggie wouldn’t do that to Leona, so to save the Lion’s pride, he picked them up and tossed them into the laundry basket at his hip.
“Whaddya doin’?” Leona groggily muttered, not bothering to open his eyes and or face Ruggie properly.
Thankfully, Ruggie was a great liar. “Heard a couple o’ guys talkin’ ‘bout how they wanna wash clothes today. I don’t wanna be stuck with having to fight over a washing machine all day, so I might as well do it now an’ get it outta the way.”
Leona just huffed a sigh, rolling over to face away from the rising sun, “Jus’ close the door on ya way out.”
“Will do, Boss,” Ruggie smiled.
The Hyena continued to clean as quietly as possible and it wasn’t until he was just about done that he noticed Leona had fallen back asleep. Once his task was done, Ruggie slipped out the door, closing it slowly.
“Alright! task one: done,” Ruggie whispered as he made his way to inform the others.
Later that day, Mirai, Ruggie, Jack, and a group of Savanaclaw students made their way over to Sam’s shop to get some supplies for the party. Jack’s group was in charge of party favors, and Ruggie’s group was in charge of food, and as for the rest, they were here to pick Birthday gifts for their Dorm Head. Mirai had already secured his gift, the present arriving in town two days prior. All he had to do was pick it up and have it wrapped. That was a little event all in itself, but at least he wasn’t like the others, rushing to find a suitable gift with only one day to spare.
“What do you need from me?” Mirai asked.
“Actually,” Ruggie started, “I forgot to tell you the Birthday tradition for Leona this year.”
“Tradition?”
“Does it involve food?” Grim asked.
“No,” Ruggie huffed. “Ya see, this year, each third year student gets honored with their own Bloom Bouquet, or Broomquet as we like to call it.”
“Oh, yeah! I remember now,” Mirai said, thinking back on Cater’s and a couple of his other third year friends on their own Birthdays
“Yeah, but the thing is, the dorm has to make it in honor of that student, we want you to make it.”
Mirai looked taken aback, “Why me?!”
“Well not “make it” make it, like we want you to assemble it.”
“Why not someone else? Like you or Jack?”
“There was nothin’ in it for me,” Ruggie supplied. “And we asked Jack if he wanted to do it, but he claimed his hands weren’t too good with small meticulous stuff like tying ribbons an’ stuff. So you’re the next best thing.”
Mirai bit his lip, deep in thought. “I can just get him one myself, it doesn’t have to be this particular bouquet.”
“I know, but wouldn’t it be nice if Leona got a Broomquet made from his boyfriend this year?”
“Gross,” Grim huffed.
The fight in Mirai dissolved. Flushing, Mirai sighed, “Alright, alright. I’ll do it.”
Ruggie smiled, “Good. Now go find your flower to add to the Broomquet.”
Mirai made his way to the Botanical Gardens and over to the flowers, wondering which one to pick. Ruggie sent him a picture of a list of flowers that were already being added to the Broomquet for reference.
“So yellow is the theme here,” Mirai muttered, looking at the picture of other third years from their dorm and their Broomquets.
“Why can’t we just pick a dandelion and be done with it?” Grim huffed.
“Because it's for his Birthday, it has to be special. You wouldn’t want some ordinary tuna for your Birthday, would you?”
“I guess not,” Grim grumbled.
“Thought so.”
Mirai wandered the gardens, looking at each yellow flower, trying to make sure none of his potential picks were repeated. As he followed the path, lost in his head, the Prefect stepped on something as he turned the corner to the next row of flowers.
“Why am I getting a sense of deja vu here?”
Mirai gasped, jumping a couple steps away only to find the man on his mind, lying between two low hanging willow trees. A single bright green eye landed on the Prefect, making the blonde’s skin prickle with goosebumps. “What was he doing here?” Mirai thought, “Wasn’t he supposed to be in gym class?”
“S-Sorry, Leona,” Mirai muttered, flushing from embarrassment.
“Are you really? Cus it feels like ya did this before,” Leona smirked.
“A-And all those times were accidents, I-I swear!”
Leona chuckled, “Calm down, I was only messin’ with ya. Whaddya doing here?”
“What are you doing here?” Mirai shot back. “You’re supposed to be in gym class.”
“I went to gym class,” Leona smirked. “Vargas said I could make up for the days I skipped by running twenty laps around the field. I did, and then I left.”
“Leona!”
“What? Vargas never said I had to stay after I made up those classes. It’s his fault for not being more specific.”
Mirai sighed, exasperated.
“Well,” Grim said thoughtfully, “He’s not wrong.”
“No, he is wrong,” Mirai scolded, “And don’t be gettin’ any ideas Grim. We’re going to gym later today.”
“Awww.”
“You never answered my question, Herbivore,” Leona muttered.
“Huh?” Mirai gasped, eyes snapping back to the Lion.
“My question. Whaddya doin’ here?”
Mirai froze, he had forgotten Leona asked him that. Mirai’s thoughts were reeling as he tried to wrack his mind with what kind of story to come with. “I-I-I, uh, I wanted, I want some flowers to, to, uh, to…brighten up my room!”
“To brighten your room?” Leona questioned with a raised eyebrow, not buying a word the Prefect said.
“Y-Yeah, I-” Mirai’s eyes darted around the gardens until his eyes landed on a bright yellow Lily. That’s it! “I-I-I was feeling a little down an-and I asked Professor Crewel if I, if I could have some Lilies ‘cus, because they remind me of my mother.”
“But I thought we were getting flowers for that bouq-” Grim started before Mirai cut him off loudly.
“Yes, a bouquet for my mother! I know she’s not here, but it’s the thought that counts. It’s like she’s here with me, ya’know?”
Leona’s eyes immediately softened, his ears flattening against his head. Gosh, Mirai hated that look on the man’s face. He hated lying, and he hated the fact that he just lied about how he was feeling, but that was the only excuse he could come up with on the spot. But the Lily part was true though, Mirai loved Lilies, they always made him happy, and they always reminded him of his mother. Also, now he knew just what flower to add to Leona’s Broomquet.
Leona sighed, “Hey, I-”
Mirai shook his head hurriedly, hoping Leona would let him off the hook. “I’m fine, really. It’ll pass like it usually does. Lilies always remind me of her, and they always make me happy.”
Leona sighed and after a moment of silence, Leona spoke once more, “Stay?”
“Next time?” Mirai asked, clipping a couple of yellow lilies and placing them in a plastic bag. “I wanna get these in some cool water.”
“There better be,” Leona huffed, lying back down, and this time, tucking his tail in beneath himself. “Be careful on your way out.”
“Oh? Why should I? Is a big bad lion gonna get me?”
“He might. And if ya don’t wanna be stuck here for the rest of the day, I’d advise you to start walkin’.”
“Whaddya gonna do abou-”
Leona lunged forward, a playful growl on his smirking lips and Mirai squealed, grabbing Grim as he ran out the Botanical Gardens.
Back in his room, Mirai sat on the floor, trying to figure out where to put everyone’s flowers. He was artistic, but he wasn’t some prodigy. He wanted the Broomquet to look very aesthetically pleasing, but also, he wanted it to be fair. Like, he really wanted to put the lilies dead center, but he didn’t want it to look like he was putting himself over the rest of Leona’s dorm. And as much as symmetry would look pleasing to the eye, that’s just not how flower arranging was done.
“What do you think Grim? Should the lilies go here, next to the orchids, or here, next to the rosebuds?”
“I don’t even know what those are! How am I ‘pposed to know where to put a bunch o’ weeds?”
Mirai sighed, flopping backwards onto the floor. He never was gonna get this done on time. He wanted this to be special for Leona. Mirai knew Leona had conflicting views surrounding his birthday, that he often didn’t see the want or need to celebrate his own birth, and Mirai could somewhat understand that.
From Mirai’s own experience, he could understand not liking one’s own Birthday, for he didn’t like celebrating his own Birthday either. For Mirai, it reminded him of that life changing accident, it reminded him that his mother was no longer here to celebrate with him. Some days it felt as if he were the cause of it, and others felt as if he celebrated his own Birthday, he was celebrating his own mother’s passing. But since being here, Mirai’s thoughts have changed, not entirely, but slowly, and that’s what Mirai wanted for Leona.
Leona’s reasoning was light years away from Mirai’s own, but that didn’t make it any less damaging, and or unimportant. Leona didn’t didn’t have to change his view completely, because change didn’t happen overnight. One day couldn’t change twenty years worth of trauma, twenty years of feeling inferior, of feeling forgotten, hated, and like a burden, but if tomorrow made the lion reconsider his outlook on his Birthday, even by the smallest decimal, Mirai would be happy.
Mirai looked over the text message one more time, reading over their names and meanings, trying to get an idea from when it hit him.
“I think I figured out how I’m gonna arrange them,” Mirai said happily.
“Don’t care,” Grim yelled from his room.
Mirai swore he was gonna bonk that cat on the head the next time he saw him.
It was eleven twenty-two and things were still in utter disarray. The burnt smell was finally going away, the pan from outside was retrieved and the cupcakes were finally cool enough to be iced. They also decided to make a cake entirely out of cured meats. It was Azizi’s idea to use cured meats instead, saying how the smell of cooking meat would wake Leona up.
“Has anyone found the ‘PP’ yet?!” Luan yelled.
“Have ya checked your pants?” Jaxton cackled, making Ruggie and several other Hyenas burst out laughing.
Luan growled menacingly and Jaxton growled back.
“Guys,” Jack warned, “Now is not the time.”
In the lounge, things were coming together nicely. The majority of the decorations were up, but there was still much to do, not to mention all the stuff they had to clean. The snack table needed assembling, they needed to find the rest of the sign and the finishing touches to tie in the whole thing.
Mirai was slowly bringing over trays of frosted cupcakes. The white frosted ones were a vanilla cake topped with coconut cream frosting, the brown frosted ones were a spice cake topped with chocolate frosting, and the yellow frosted ones were a pineapple cake topped with a mango frosting.
Jaxton tailed him with a three tiered spice cake topped off with a buttercream frosting. It was beautifully iced, a diamond pattern etched into the cream topped off with yellow and brown sprinkles. Mirai honestly didn’t know how the Jackal did it with so much stress and such little time.
Azizi was last with the meat cake, the two tiered masterpiece made up of jerky, sausage, prosciutto, salami, and pepperoni. It was held together by caramelized maple bacon and toothpicks, the maple glaze sticky and savory sweet, and meat cake was topped off with a savory barbecue sauce that was dripped over the edge of the cake, tying it all in. The thing seemed to shimmer in the golden light of the Savanaclaw lounge, giving the tower of meat an elegant look. It almost made you forget it was made of meat.
“Found the ‘Ps’ for the sign,” Chiumbo called. “They were under the chair!”
“Give ‘em here,” Luan called, rushing over to the lost letters.
Finally the sign was complete. The back wall finally had the words Happy Birthday decorating it with its dazzling silver color.
“Time check,” Mirai called, arranging his cupcake display in a yellow, brown, and white pattern.
“It’s eleven thirty-five,” Ruggie called.
The room froze, all of their heads snapping to the nearest clock, as if to confirm the time for themselves.
“Now’s not the time for sitting around,” Ikemba chided, “Pick up the pace.”
The room sprung into action. There were things being thrown, feet scurried across the floor, tails swishing behind them.
“I need some help cleaning up the confetti,” Rover yelled.
“Coming,” Garfield.
“I’m adding the floating lights now,” Raphael said, “So no one’s allowed in the water.”
“Done stringing the lights,” Alfonz called.
“Has anyone seen my shirt?!” James yelled, running around the room.
“Why’dja take it off?!” Ikemba yelled.
“I was hot!”
“Balloons are done,” Sergi hollered from atop the banister.
“Meat cake is finished,” Azizi said, sprinkling the last touches of oregano and thyme leaves on the cake.
“The music is set,” Chiumbo chirped.
“Give me another minute," Jaxton said as he slowly placed a hibiscus flower atop the cake. “I’m almost done.”
“I’m lighting the candles,” Luan informed, casting the room in a warm golden glow.
“Whoever is done, start making your way to Leona’ room,” Ruggie called. “And remember to keep it down.”
The room began to thin out, the dorm making their way to Leona’s den. Mirai added the finishing touches to his cupcake display, placing a flower or piece of candy here or there. Once he was finished, whatever was left was added to the table display.
“You guys ready?” Jack called, holding a sleepy Grim in his arms.
“Y-Yes! I’m coming,” Mirai called, “Lemme just-”
Mirai didn’t finish his sentence as he rushed to the kitchen to grab the single cupcake that he had saved for this very moment. It was a one of the spice cake ones, topped with buttercream frosting and gold luster dust. Round pearly sprinkles decorated the top, one side encrusted with golden sugar crystals. The finishing touch was the candle, a small golden crown that took Mirai ages to find. It reminded him of Leona and Mirai hoped he liked it.
Mirai was one of the last ones upstairs with seven minutes to spare. Everyone was crouched in the hall, quiet as a mouse. Mirai couldn’t resist picking up the ghost camera that hung around his neck and snapped a photo. He wanted to capture every moment of this night, so they all could look back on this one day and smile with the same exact warm and fuzzy feeling the blonde had now.
“Alright, Prefect,” Ruggie whispered, opening the door so it was ajar, “you first.”
Mirai slowly crouched his way in, moving all the way around until he was smack dab in the middle. One by one the others made their ways in. Of course there was some pushing and shoving, and of course some tails were kneeled on, but slowly but surely, all the guys crowded the bed until Leona was surrounded by the occupants of his entire dorm.
Mirai looked over Leona’s peaceful form as he snored away under the pale moonlight shining through his open bay windows. He looked devastatingly beautiful, it was almost ethereal with how he slept, chocolate tresses cascading down strong bronze shoulders. Something about it all, all of this, everything, made something like a mixture of love and sorrow well up in his chest. Mirai didn’t know whether to laugh or cry, but he swallowed the feeling down, he’d deal whatever that was later, but right now, it was Leona’s hour, his day.
“Fifteen seconds,” Ruggie whispered, pulling Mirai from his thoughts, and the room went still in anticipation.
“Fourteen,” Jack whispered.
“Thirteen,” Raphael continued.
“Twelve,” Jaxton smiled.
“Eleven,” Azizi added.
“Ten,” Luan whispered.
Leona stirred in his bed, a glowing green eye cracking open.
“Nine,” Ikemba said.
“Eight,” Chiumbo counted.
“Seven,” James continued.
“Six,” Rover added.
“Wha-What are you guys…” Leona trailed off, rolling over to sit up.
“Five,” Garfield said.
“Four,” Alfonz cheered.
Leona’s reflective green eyes darted around the room wildly, reflective eyes of many colors staring back at him. “Wha-” Leona muttered, eyes widening when he noticed the amount of people shoved into his bedroom.
“Three,” Sergi called.
“Two,” Grim cheered.
Suddenly the room was lit by a small flame, the lighter hovering over the wick on the crown shaped candle before it came to life with a near silent ‘poof.’ Everyone’s gazes honed in on the single flame, then back at Leona was sat there in shock.
“One,” Mirai smiled widely.
“Happy Birthday, Leona,” they all cheered. Confetti poppers sounded, party favors were blown, and pictures were snapped. Suddenly the bedside lamp covered the room in a comforting golden glow, and before Leona could say anything, his dormmates began a very unique rendition of the Happy Birthday song. Sound effects were added, someone was definitely off key, parts were too slow or rushed, a rap verse was added, and was someone singing in an opera voice? It was silly, it was loud, and it was goofy, but it was happy, it was loving and caring. Soon it came to an end.
“Happy Birthday! To! You,” They all finished, before cheering at their own monstrosity of a song.
“Now blow out the candle and make a wish,” Mirai smiled, handing over the cupcake.
Leona could immediately smell the spice and buttercream frosting. Taking the small cake from his hands, Leona stared at it, taking in the detailing of the clearly handmade treat. Opening his mouth, Leona went to blow, but he was immediately stopped by a series of shouts.
“What?” Leona asked, taken aback.
“C’mon,” Azizi protested.
“Make a wish,” Chiumbo urged.
“You don’t have to tell us what it is,” James reassured.
“Just wish for anything,” Rover said.
Leona sighed, “Alright, alright.”
Leona closed his eyes, thinking for a moment, and after several seconds, his green eyes opened once more, and with a breath, he blew out the melted crown candle.
The guys cheered loudly, blowing the party favors once more, confetti showering over Leona’s bed.
“You may eat,” Sergi urged.
Leona shook his head, a small smile on his face as peeled off the golden cupcake paper, and took a bite. Immediately, Leona’s taste buds had ascended. Leona groaned in delight as his tongue was met with the buttery soft buttercream frosting, not too sweet, but sweet enough to pair beautifully with the spice cake. He could taste the cinnamon, ginger, cloves and nutmeg, it wasn’t too strong, not too spicy, but it was enough to get that soft, rich and pillowy, spice cake flavor.
Leona forgot himself for a moment there, until he caught the snickers coming from his dormmates. Shaking his head, Leona scoffed without malice, “Go on, laugh. ‘S’not gonna change the fact that this cake is so frickin’ good.”
They all laughed as they watched Leona devour the last of his cupcake. Mirai laughed, snapping a picture of Leona, who had frosting on his cheek, and the corner of his mouth.
“Oi,” Leona shouted, the flash of the ghost camera alerting him of Mirai’s dastardly deeds.
“Oh, no,” Mirai smirked, “That one’s def gonna go in the scrapbook.”
“Scrapbook?!”
“Well now that that’s out the way,” Jaxton cheered, “Let’s party!”
“Woohoo! Party time!”
The mass of them pushed and shoved their way out of the room, and back down to the lounge and shortly after, loud music began to shake the floor.
“Party?” Leona asked, but his question fell on deaf ears as he was promptly pulled by his arms. “W-Wait!”
“C’mon, Leona,” Garfield said.
“Yeah,” Chiumbo agreed, “Let’s go.”
“W-Wait! Wai-O-Okay! Okay,” Leona rushed out, moving to kneel on the bed, his sheets falling away from his hips. “Lemma get dressed first.”
Mirai immediately turned his head towards the window as he had just gotten an eyeful. Mirai honestly forgot the Beastmen tended to sleep absolutely naked, especially during the warmer months.
“Yay,” the two cheered like small children before rushing out of the room to join the party.
“See ya downstairs,” Ruggie said with a chuckle, Jack hot on his heels.
The rest followed suit, giving their own waves, not a single one of them bothered the state of undress from their Housewarden.
There was a pregnant pause before Leona spoke again, “You still here?”
Mirai’s eyes darted in Leona’s direction, but his gaze never fell on the Beastman, “C-Can I look?”
“Sure.”
That ‘sure’ was too nonchalant, Mirai didn’t believe him, “N-No, are you dressed?”
“Aw,” Leona teased, “You didn’t want a show?”
“Leona,” Mirai warned, but his flush on his freckled cheeks made it less threatening.
“I’m dressed,” Leona chuckled, “You can look now.”
Mirai slowly looked his way and, yeah, he was dressed. Leona opted to wear just the top and the jeans to his dorm specific uniform, not bothering with the jacket or any of the jewelry he typically wore.
“Let’s go?” Mirai asked.
“Yeah, I’m coming,” Leona muttered following Mirai out the door.
The party had just started, but yet somehow in full swing. The music was blasting, the lights were dimmed, and the food looked good. Now that Leona was up, the guys decided to grill some meat on an open flame. Yeah it was kinda smokey, but fresh meat off a grill, slathered in an array of sauces was something you couldn’t beat.
Cake was served and it was delicious. Leona got the first slice, which he all but shoved in his mouth. His excuse, that the spice cake was “so dang good,” earned a blush from Jaxton, and teasing from the others. There were so many to choose from, but Mirai’s favorites were the chocolate frosted cupcakes he made, and Jaxton’s spice cake. Leona and the others practically ate everything they could get their hands on, especially Grim, but this was why they had seconds and thirds ready.
The music was good, the bass rattling the lounge. Mirai couldn’t understand, for a bunch with such sensitive hearing, they sure did like loud dance music. Azizi and Garfield challenged each other to a dance battle, which Garfiled lost, then somewhere down the line, they got Jack and Ikemba to dance, which turned out hilarious. Raphael goaded Leona into dancing at some point, and after several minutes of badgering and whining, Leona danced. Let’s just say after that beautiful display, Mirai was smitten even more with the Lion.
The party continued, games were played ranging starting with dorm races. Luan, Leona, Rover, Ruggie, Raphael, Jaxton, and Alfonz raced for a good while. They started from the lounge and had to make their way around the dorm and back. Leona, Luan, and Alfonz were tied with three wins, Raphael and Ruggie were tied with two, and the rest with one. Mirai remembers seeing the look of sheer determination on Leona’s face as he sprinted down the halls, the Lion and the Leopard hot on their Housewarden’s tail, and when Leona crossed that line first, Mirai remembers screaming the loudest.
Ikemba was thrown into the watering hole by a couple of the guys at some point, and after Chiumbo went on an angry tangent, and was inevitably chucked into the water after the Boar, games of chicken were played. Mirai watched from the sidelines with a couple of others while they all splashed and yelled in the water. Chiumbo was on Ikemba’s shoulders, and James held Azizi. The Wolf and the Boar kept a steady hand as the two on their shoulders wrestled for a good while, the was no give, until the Kudu overpowered Chiumbo and sent the Meerkat into the water.
When things began to simmer down, card games were played, and of course Ruggie, Garfield and Sergi cheated, which they denied with their cunning cat-like smiles. But when the others exposed their lies by pulling cards from their sleeves, seats and hair, the Servat, the cat, and Hyena just laughed. And where there were no card games being played, small conversation was being made. It was peaceful.
Mirai stood away from the group with a smile, snapping pictures here and there. This was probably one of the best Birthday parties Mirai had ever planned, this probably even topped his own Birthday party the guys threw him a month prior. Mirai was looking through his camera roll when a heavy hand grabbed his shoulder. Mirai gasped, head snapping to the perpetrator, it was Leona.
“You scared me,” Mirai sighed, his heart pounding.
“That’s because you got the heart of a mouse,” Leona gruffed.
Mirai stuck his tongue out petulantly.
“Or maybe a ferret?”
Mirai laughed, setting his camera down. “Having fun?”
“Yeah,” Leona said quietly, a small smile gracing his lips.
“I’m glad. We all spent so much time trying to do this for you, so I’m happy you’re enjoying it.”
Suddenly a siren sounded, and James, Raphael, and Rover come out with sunglasses on their faces, air horns in their hands, and a megaphone.
“Weeeeewhoooooooo,” James yelled. “Are you ready for some live music?!”
“Oh no,” Leona sighed, pressing a thumb and forefinger to the bridge of his nose.”
“Oh yes,” Mirai smirked, pulling out his phone to record.
Jack grabbed Leona by the hands, pulled him to his chair. Leona couldn’t get himself together before the guys covered him in beaded necklaces and smacked a plastic gold crown on his head.
“This one goes out to you Leona,” Rover yelled, pointing at his Housewarden across the room.
“Happy Birthday, Housewarden,” Raphael shouted.
What followed after was a horrible rap about Leona and his Birthday. It was a bunch of nonsense. Rover kept howling, which triggered James to howl. Raphael was beatboxing, then when Rover continued to rap, James started breakdancing.
“Happy Birthday! Happy Birthday! Today is your special day,” Rover rapped.
“Happy Birthday! Happy Birthday! C’mon let me hear ya say,” Raphael continued.
“Happy Birthday! Happy Birthday! Happy Birthday,” the wolf, dog and Mountain Lion chanted, ending their performance.
The guys cheered and clapped. Dogs barked, cats meowed, others trilled, yipped, and others roared and howled. They threw confetti, hooped, hollered, and made noise with their noise makers, the works. Mirai was cackling, tears in his eyes, and Leona looked thoroughly embarrassed from his seat.
“Ay yo,” Raphael called, “Somebody send that to me!”
“Already on it,” Azizi laughed.
“That’s going on the cloud,” Ruggie laughed.
“I’m posting this and tagging every last one of us,” Luan guffawed.
“Do not,” Leona shouted.
“Alright,” Alfonz called, “I think it’s about time we opened presents.”
“Me first,” Jaxton yelled.
“Move it,” Luan yelled, shoving the Jackal, “He’s opening mine first!”
“I grabbed mine first, therefore he opened mine first,” Chiumbo squeaked.
“Hold on, guys,” Jack scolded, “You’re going too fast. We already picked the first gift, remember.”
“Oh yeah,” Rover yelled. “Where’s the prefect?!”
“Overhere,” Ruggie said, walking back into the room with the Prefect in tow.
Leona looked up and spotted Ruggie and Mirai, who was holding a distinctly shaped wrapped gift.
“I, uh, it’s uh, it’s from all of us,” Mirai stammered.
“But,” Ikemba urged.
“But they chose me to assemble it,” Mirai finished, passing over the large gift. “Happy Birthday.”
Leona stood up, taking the wrapped object by the smaller end. Leona already could tell what it was the moment they brought it in, Sevens, he could practically smell it from where he was standing. Unwrapping the gift, Leona slowly revealed what he suspected, his Broomquet. Leona stared in awe at the bright vibrant yellows and the deep reds and purples. Turning it around, Leona spotted a card, tied to around the base of the bouquet by a string.
“What’s this?” Leona muttered, picking it up.
“Read it,” Azizi urged.
On the card were all the flowers they chose and their meanings. Leona read it over carefully, taking in each and every one of them.
“You can choose whichever meaning you want,” Chiumbo reassured.
“We just wanted to convey how much you mean to us,” Garfield added.
“A thanks for being our Housewarden for these past three years,” Alfonz said.
“Thanks guys,” Leona smiled, placing the Broomquet beside his chair.
“Now that that’s over with,” Luan said, “Prefect!”
Mirai jumped, “Y-Yeah?”
“You’re up first!”
Mirai barely coughed the box thrown his way, the gold wrapping paper slipping in his hands. “I, no, I, i-it’s, it’s okay,” Mirai stammered, face flushed, “I-I can go last!”
“Nah, after that reaction,” Leona smirked, slouching in his chair, “Hand it over.”
Mirai flushed a pretty pink and slowly walked the small box over, “Happy Birthday, Leona.”
Leona took the box gingerly, and unwrapped it carefully, trying to tear the wrapping paper. Pulling it away, a black velveteen box fell into his hands. Leona looked up at the Prefect, his eyebrows raised.
A chorus of teasing ‘ooohhs’ and giggles rang out the room.
“Is that what I think it is?” Luan teased.
“Prefect,” Raphael teased, placing a strong arm around his shoulders, “I didn’t know you had it in ya.”
“I gotta get pictures,” Chiumbo squealed.
“I-It’s, it’s not like that,” Mirai hurried out, “I-If it was, I definitely would never do it posed as a birthday gift.”
Leona was silent as he pulled open the box. Placing it in his palm, he pulled out a gold necklace.
“I uh, I wanted to give you something you could take with you, when you leave later,” Mirai muttered, playing with his earrings, “You don’t wear earrings, and I definitely couldn’t do matching rings, a-and I know you always were a necklace, so, yeah.”
Leona put the box down, to inspect the necklace. It was a small, thin piece of jewelry, dainty, compared to the adornments the Prince normally wore, and lighter too. In the middle of the chain was a gold sun, and in the middle of it, was a small red gem.
“Put it on for me?” Leona more like commanded, running a thumb over the vibrant red gem.
Mirai shuffled over, taking the necklace from his hand and unclasped it. Leona sat up straighter, his head tiling up to look the Prefect in the eye as Mirai gingerly moved his hair to clasp the chain around his neck.
“Th-There,” Mirai muttered, flushing, pulling a similar gold chain from his pocket to show the Savanaclaw Housewarden. The necklace was an identical pair to Leona’s, the only difference being the gem in the middle. Instead of the ruby colored gem that adorned Leona’s, Mirai’s was made with a blue and purple gem instead. “And when you go back home tonight, you have a little bit of me with you, and I, you.”
Leona stared at the Prefect for a moment before standing up from his chair. Mirai’s gaze flicked up to the Beastman, his heart stuttering, thoughts reeling. Before the blonde could get a word out, Leona slipped the chain from Mirai’s fingertips.
“You can match me tonight,” Leona muttered, clasping the necklace around Mirai’s neck, “when you accompany me for my Birthday party as my partner.” Leona’s fingers trailed along Mirai’s jaw as he pulled away, his green eyes boring into Mirai’s.
“Kiss him,” Luan whispered.
Mirai flushed, his head snapping to the others.
“Kiss him,” Ikemba followed.
“Kiss him,” Alfonz chanted.
“G-Guys,” Mirai stuttered, trying to quiet their teasing.
“Kiss him,” they all chanted. “Kiss him! Kiss him! Kiss him!”
“Guys! Seriously! I’m not gonna-”
Suddenly, Mirai was grabbed by the waist and pulled forward. Mirai's head snapped back to Leona who was looking down at him. The Prefect couldn’t even get a word out his mouth before a pair of warm lips were pressed against his. Leona deepened the kiss, and Mirai melted, resulting in hoops and hollers from Leona’s dormmates, and groans of disgust from Grim.
“I hate yall,” Mirai pouted, hiding his face behind his arm.
“Alright, who’s next?” Sergi asked.
The rest presents were given and opened, Leona accepting each and every one of them with an open heart. The Housewarden received things from new knee pads for his spelldrive uniform, to things like brushes and combs, and hair care products. Somewhere down the line, Leona received a pillow, a new blanket and an eye mask for sleeping, which the Lion greatly appreciated.
By the time they finished, the sun was rising over the horizon. It was getting close to five in the morning and not a wink of sleep was had. The air was warmed and with the brightening sky, eyes were closing, so food was put away, tables and chairs were moved, and blankets and pillows were spread out across the floor.
They all lay together like a Lion Pride that had retired for the day after a successful hunt. There was no more music, no more chatter, but the sound of birds chirping to start their day, the serene sound of the waterfall that constantly from above them, and the occasional snore or nonsensical muttering from unconscious lips.
Chiumbo lay across Ikemba, using his body like a pillow, a blanket wrapped around them. Jack lay with James and the other wolves, and Ruggie with the other Hyena. Raphael and Alphonz lay with Luan and the other lion’s and big cats, Grim sprawled out next to them as they basked in the sun. Sergi and Garfield kept Rover company in the far corner, and Azizi slept by himself, closest to the water. Leona lay at the highest part of the lounge, curled up like a house cat in the midday sun, and in his arms lay Mirai.
The Prefect laid there, his eyes tracing the hard lines of Leona’s collarbones, his gaze eventually wandering to the shiny gold sun pendant. It was beautiful against Leona’s rich skin, and Mirai swelled with joy. Leona had loved it, much to Mirai’s delight, it made all that fuss he made about finding the right gift those some odd days ago null and void.
Mirai reached up to touch it when Leona spoke, “You can’t sleep if you’re looking at me.”
Mirai gasped, snatching his hand away from Leona’s chest. Looking up at the Beastman, Mirai saw that his eyes were closed. He wasn’t looking at him, but Mirai knew that he acknowledged him with the way his ears twitched. He knew Leona knew he was looking at him.
“S-Sorry,” Mirai whispered.
“Nothing to apologize about,” Leona muttered. “But if you wanna make it up to me, you can by closing your eyes and getting some sleep.”
“Alright, alright,” Mirai sighed, but didn’t move to go to sleep.
“Whaddya thinkin’ ‘bout?”
“You. Did you have fun?”
Leona sighed, opening his eyes to look down at the Prefect, “Yeah, I had fun.”
“Are you happy?”
“Whaddya on about?”
“It-It’s just, I know you really don’t like celebrating your Birthday,” Mirai whispered, playing with the collar of Leona’s shirt, “but I wanted to do something to make you happy, even if it’s for a little bit. You guys made me happy on my Birthday, so I wanted to share that happiness with you.”
“You did,” Leona muttered, rubbing his cheek against Mirai’s.
“Was it enough-"
They both froze upon hearing movement from someone. Leona and Mirai waited until the shuffling and mumbling stopped, and only when it did did the two let go of the breath they seemed to be holding.
"Was it enough to make tonight just a little better?” Mirai whispered.
“Since you’ll be going with me, it shouldn't be too bad,” Leona smirked, “We can make fun of the snobby delegates and nobility, get drunk off of the champagne, and once the cake is cut, we can ditch the garish affair for a night to ourselves.”
Mirai chuckled, pressing his face into Leona’s chest to muffle his laughter. Leona yawned, his mouth wide, the noise deep in his throat and Mirai yawned shortly after him, seeming to catch the yawn bug. Getting closer, Mirai pulled his blanket around himself, tangling his and Leona’s bodies together, and Leona sighed contently, a quiet chuffing noise escaping his throat as he pulled the Prefect closer until his form engulfed Mirai’s smaller one.
“Night Leona,” Mirai yawned. “And Happy Birthday.”
“Good night, Herbivore,” Leona whispered, “And thanks.”

CHRISTMAS IN CONNECTICUT (Christmas special)
(Paige Bueckers x reader)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
TW: swearing, fire…
SUMMARY: making cookies with your girlfriend doesn’t go as planned.
AUTHOR’S NOTE: I originally had a schedule for the Christmas things but I recently said “fuck it I gotta get the gay out” and now these are coming whenever I have them lol.
-----------------------------------------
It was a few days before Christmas, which meant the team finally had some time off practice. Everyone was in their dorms, resting, enjoying their free time.
You and your girlfriend, on the other hand, were in the kitchen. As a Christmas gift, you two had decided to make a bunch of cookies for your teammates.
You’d bought dough from the store. All you had to do was shake the cookies, bake them, and decorate them. Simple enough, right?
“Paige.” You huffed. “Are you kidding me?”
All of the balls of dough that were placed on a baking sheet were different sizes. She seemed oblivious to her mistake.
“What’d I do?” She said.
“These have to be even, or else they’ll cook weird.” You sighed, and began fixing the dough.
She watched, looking defeated.
Once the cookies were the same shape, she slid the tray into the oven.
“Alright.” She said. “Now we just wait fifteen minutes.”
You leaned against the counter. “What do you wanna do?”
“I have a few ideas.” She smirked.
“Everyone is around…” You whispered.
“So we’d have to be quiet.” She shrugged.
“First, we finish the cookies.” You said firmly. “Then…we’ll see.”
She groaned dramatically.
For the next few minutes, she followed you around the small kitchen as you cleaned. Shed kiss your neck, or hug you from behind, or just put her hands on you. She was amazing at teasing you. She knew how to push your buttons very well. She managed to get what she wanted, and kissed you for a while.
Until you noticed something.
“What’s that smell?” You asked.
“Don’t know, babe.” She mumbled, trying to continue the kiss.
“Wait, Paige…” You gently pushed her off.
“Oh…it does smell weird.” She said, noise wrinkled.
“It smells like-“
“Oh, crap-“
Just then, the smoke detector started beeping loudly. You had forgotten to set a timer for the cookies, and it had been much more than fifteen minutes.
“Ugh! Shit!” You groaned, and quickly opened the oven.
The burning smell intensified. The cookies were…not cookies. They were almost black, smoking lumps.
Chaos ensued.
“Wait, babe, don’t-“ Paige said, trying to stop you from grabbing the pan, but it was too late. In a moment of panic, you tried to get the cookies out, and accidentally burned your fingers.
“Ow! Fuck!” You yelped.
“I told you not to grab it!”
“No, you didn’t!”
“It doesn’t matter. Get over here.”
Paige led you to the sink, and turned the water as cold as possible. She took your hand and held it under the water. The alarm was still blaring, which made it hard to relax.
Paige stepped away from you, and shut the oven off. She jumped and swatted at the smoke detector, managing to grab the removable part. With her height, she didn’t have to reach much to yank the batteries out. The detector stopped beeping.
“Phew.” She sighed.
“What the hell happened?”
KK Arnold’s voice startled you both. When you looked in her direction, you saw half the team standing there, confused, a bit panicked.
“We’re good.” Paige shrugged. “Just baking.”
“Was there a fire?”
“No. No fire.” Paige shook her head.
“Why do you look like you’re in pain?” One of the girls asked you.
“I’m not in pain.” You said. You weren’t exactly lying. Your hand was feeling better under the cool water.
The team eventually backed off, grumbling as they went back to their rooms.
“Thank God.” Paige whispered to you. “Almost ruined Christmas.”
You laughed a little. “So…should we try to make another batch?”
“We’ll die.” She shook her head.
“Yeah…maybe we should just get store bought cookies.” You sighed.
“Target?” She asked.
“Target.” You agreed.
So you two went to Target, where you picked up some cookies, fun boxes to put them in, and some things to care for mild burns.
This is what Christmas in Connecticut was like.

No pictures once more...
This world started normal for the Pony universe. Rarity was making a lovely dress for a client when Opal scratched her multiple times in the face. This caused Rarity to overreact and throw her cat against the wall. The poor cat met a grisly fate. Rarity was upset that she killed her precious pet, but the scratches unlocked something within her. Something that she would take great pleasure in.
This Rarity began to hurt herself in ways no person should. She enjoyed every moment of it and would love to end up in Pinkamina’s lottery. She even wanted to spread this form of “pleasure” to her little sister. But instead, she was found out and put in prison. She is currently awaiting trial as Twilight tries to find a way to save her from being locked up with other criminals. But another Twilight had a plan.
In the dungeon, Rarity is chained to a wall when magical blasts broke her free. Rarity was now on her hooves as she noticed her three friends. One of them being Rainbow Dash. “That’s impossible,” Rarity said, “Pinkamena got to you.” This confused Rainbow Dash as Twilight decided to speak. “Rarity, we need you to help us create the Elements of Disharmony. We’ll make sure you never have to see the inside of a prison ever again.”
“Will it be painful?” Rarity asked. “Only if you want it to,” Twilight answered. Rarity giggled with joy as she thought this would lead to new pleasures she couldn’t do on her own. Applejack responded “That just leaves Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy. So how are we going to convince those two to help us?” “I know Pinkie Pie would love to help,” Rarity answered.
Another world, another time spent together with Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie. Pinkie Pie asked Dash for help with a new Cupcake recipe and Rainbow agreed to help. Sadly to her horror, the help she required was less about cooking and more about being the ingredients. With no other out, Rainbow Dash could do nothing but breathe her last breaths as Pinkie Pie turned her into cupcakes. She just took them out of the oven when Twilight and friends appeared.
Even though she saw Rainbow Dash right there, she didn’t seem to pay it any mind. “Hi Rainbow Dash! Wanna try yourself?” The Pegasus was disgusted. Before she could respond, Rarity began to ask Pinkie “so I know you do this whole lottery thing for your next session, but I was wondering if I could just schedule myself into helping you with your next batch.” “Ooh! That sounds fun. How about next Tuesday?”
“Enough!” Twilight shouted. Dash, Rarity and Pinkie looked at her. Applejack commented “welp, looks like the disharmony is strong with us.” “Pinkie Pie. Join us and we can...” Before Twilight can finish, Pinkie responded “Okie Dokie.” This confused Twilight. “Really? Just like that?” “Yeppers! I can tell you guys are more fun than my usual friends. So whatever you’re doing I’m in!”
AJ, who was the second senior of the group, spoke up. “Alright. Now all that’s left is Fluttershy. And considering who we got so far, what sort of twisted version we’re going to get? Some sort of Angel of Mercy? Some pony obsessed with butterflies? Maybe one that’s actually a Vampire Pony.” “That last one is the closest idea,” Twilight responded, “but for this final one, we all must be prepared.”
-------------------------------------------------
As you probably guess, these two are based on “Lil Miss Rarity” by Jay Tonique and “Cupcakes” by Sergeant Sprinkles. I wonder if you can figure out which Fluttershy is going to be picked.

christmas morning
pairing: RyeJoe :)
summary: Rye and Joe enjoy a peaceful Christmas morning.
word count: 920

Tumblr media
“Merry Christmas, Rye,” were the first words she heard as her eyes fluttered open. She stretched her limbs, turning her head to see her husband watching her adoringly. She smiled, planting a soft kiss to his cheek.
“Merry Christmas, Joe,” she replied, her hand still resting on his cheek. “Are we getting out of bed now, or…?”
“We don’t have to. We can snuggle for a little while longer.”
Rye smiled, wrapping her arms around him, burrowing herself further into his chest. A sigh of contentment slipped through her lips as she closed her eyes, listening to his heartbeat. She could already feel her stomach rumbling, but she didn’t care. It was far too early for her to even consider getting up.
The pair tossed and turned for a bit, chattering and giggling in each other’s arms, until finally, they decided it was time for breakfast. Leaving their pajamas and messy hair untouched, they traipsed out to the kitchen, and pulled everything they needed for pancakes out of the cupboards. They had made a tradition of it: every Christmas, they’d make pancakes with red and green M&Ms, with sausage and bacon on the side. As Joe mixed up the batter, Rye put the kettle on, preparing two mugs for hot cocoa. As the water boiled, she wrapped her arms around Joe’s torso, pressing her face into his shoulder, watching him cook.
“You wanna go get a fire goin’?”
Rye pouted. “Babe, you know I don’t like dealing with the fireplace.”
“Right, right… Well, when the pancakes are done cookin’, you wanna fry up the bacon and sausage while I get it set up?”
“Deal.”
It was a relatively small batch — three pancakes for each of them. It didn’t take long at all for them to finish cooking, leaving Rye to finish up in the kitchen while her husband got to work in the living room. The house was quiet, the sizzling of the frying pan breaking up the silence alongside the crackling of wood. Wordlessly, Rye divvied up the bacon and sausage between two plates, adding a bit of syrup to Joe’s pancakes, and carried them out to the living room.
Joe was already sitting on the couch, keeping an eye on the fire. He had already brought both of their cocoa mugs into the living room with him, ensuring that his wife would have nothing more to do than curl up next to him and enjoy her breakfast. She smiled at the sight, leaning in for a quick peck as she handed her husband his plate.
“So… Should we do the dishes after we eat, or do you wanna wait until after we make the brownies?” Rye asked as she sat down.
“Let’s wait,” Joe replied after swallowing a bite of food. “Let’s take it easy this mornin’ — we deserve it, right?”
“We do,” Rye nodded. “Thank you for making breakfast, by the way,” she continued, taking a bite of pancake.
“Hey, we both made breakfast,” Joe pointed out. “But you’re welcome. Anytime, you know that.”
“I love you.”
“I love you.”
The two ate silently, enjoying the quiet morning. They were leaving for Clem and Charlene’s around two o’clock — they had more than enough time to just enjoy each other’s company before getting into gear for the day.
“Oh, should we exchange gifts now? Or did you wanna do it later?”
“You know what? Let’s do it now,” Joe decided. “I have a feelin’ we’ll be too tired later.”
Rye nodded, placing her empty plate on the coffee table before standing up. She took a few steps toward their small tree, which stood on an end table they had placed in the corner of the room, and grabbed the box she had wrapped up for Joe. She grabbed the small box labeled for her as well, bringing them both back to the couch. She handed the bigger box to Joe, causing him to raise an eyebrow. “Go ahead, you can open yours first,” she said.
The curtains were still closed, meaning the only light in the room was coming from the fire, illuminating the room just enough for them to see the presents they were opening. She watched as Joe tore the paper — dark blue with snowflakes — off of the box, revealing the gift: a small telescope, complete with its own tripod.
“No way! A telescope?”
“Yeah, well, you’ve always said you always wanted one…”
“You’re the best, baby, really. Thank you… I almost feel like my gift is silly now…”
“Oh, come on, I’m sure it’ll be perfect,” Rye assured him, carefully tearing the paper from the gift in her hand.
Once the paper shed onto the floor, she held a small gold box in her hand. Slowly, she cracked it open, unveiling the gift inside: a circular pendant with dried white flowers inside.
“Oh, Joe, it’s beautiful,” Rye mused. “And it’ll go with everything… Thank you, baby.”
“Of course,” Joe replied. “I saw it one of those days we were out shoppin’, thought it’d look nice on you.”
She captured him in an embrace, holding him tightly. Even as she loosened her grip, she stayed right where she was, practically laying on top of him on the couch. His hand remained on her upper back, slowly stroking the exposed skin.
“I know we need to make the brownies, but can we just… Stay here for a while?”
“O’Course we can,” Joe replied. “We got time.”
“Good… I love you, Joe.”
“I love you, too, Rye.”

Note
how many new things do you have coming in soon? I wanna make an order but do it after this round of new stuff finishes so I don't miss anything. I understand you might not be able to tell us what specifically, but a number or idea of if/how much more new stuff is coming would help me know when to place an order
thanks, I love your shop and I'm so exited to see what else you get in the future :D
Hi anon!
In September, I’ll be posting a product that we’ve kept off our site so that the people who order our “Back to School” mystery box get to see it first!
We are also re-stocking mobiis and bringing in some new ones. (Earrings, key chains, more mobiis). It was a large order so I’m not sure when we’ll get it since it’s another small business who makes them!
We do have some other products on order with a Canadian supplier (they’re where we get our Tangles and fidget slugs and other things) but they don’t have an update of when we may see that stock. It took months to get our last batch of stuff from them.
Other than that, I’m ordering stuff for Halloween boxes. We don’t tend to bring in new products when we’re purchasing for mystery boxes because it’s a lot of cost at once.
There’s a chance we may bring in more earring designs and bead ring colours since they were brought up in our feedback survey but those would be variations of products we already have.
Side note: we have new spinner rings planned but we’re waiting to get through a lot of our current stock to order them when we re-stock some of ours. It’s the same supplier who does the moon and star ones and stainless steel glittery ones. We’re likely months out from that but I’m so excited for it! They have a different texture and look.
Thank you for your support! It means a lot.

》 Coming soon!

Explanation: An unexpected foe has engaged the Fairy Tail guild during their outing at Akane Beach and Gajeel and Genna must aid them in the fight.
Tumblr media
Genna and Gajeel burst from the underground cave they were in and made a mad dash for the beach, the rumbling and crashing noises they’d just heard getting louder and feeling even closer than before.
“It’s gonna take too long if we go on foot,” Genna suddenly stated, halting in place. Then she held her hands out in front of her and said, “Moon and Stars.” In front of her, just inches off the ground, a solid round disc of glowing silver light appeared in front of her, surrounded by smaller motes of light. She stepped on top of the disc, turned back to Gajeel and told him, “Get on.”
Gajeel seemed unsure for a second, but he knew they couldn’t afford to waste time, so he jumped up onto the disc, laying his hands on her shoulders.
“Hope you’re not afraid of heights,” she said.
“Why would I be afra--aah!” he started to say when all of a sudden, they jolted forward and the disc soared up through the air, which caused him to hold onto her shoulders tighter.
She was careful to maneuver the disc through the trees, making their way up to get a view out from out of the trees. Soon, they broke through the canopy and could see the problem right away, even though it was plenty of yards away.
A giant sea serpent, easily three hundred feet long with glistening obsidian scales, had breached the coastline and was giving their other guild members some trouble. An awful screech sounded from its giant maw at the people fighting it on the beach--which clearly was the remainder of Fairy Tail--who looked like tiny bugs from their perspective. The bonfire from earlier had been extinguished, leaving only the light of the moon to illuminate the area as well as the glow from the Fairy Tail guild members’ different magics.
“That definitely ain’t good,” Gajeel observed.
“We need to go help,” Genna declared, willing the makeshift moon they stood on to fly forward.
Seeing she was heading towards their friends, he glanced back at the sea serpent. “Wait, don’t head for the guild. Head for the serpent,” he told her.
“Why?” she questioned.
“I got an idea. While the others are distractin’ it on the beach, we can attack it from above,” he explained.
Impressed, she replied, “A good strategy.” After that, she redirected their flight path and began zooming in the direction of the sea serpent, which was now taking hits from everyone’s different magical attacks.
“When we get right over it, drop me and I’ll hit him hard in the head with my iron sword,” he instructed her.
She grinned. “Better yet, I’ll drop us both. We’ll hit it together...because I've got a sword of my own.”
Back on the beach, the rest of Fairy Tail was recovering from a sudden surprise attack from this sea serpent, whose massive coils had crashed on the beach, toppling some palm trees and sending plumes of seawater and sand everywhere.
Naturally, Natsu was the first to leap into action. Flames erupted everywhere around him as he took off down the beach towards the water and shouted, “You wanna interrupt our bonfire? Get ready to be barbecued, you overgrown eel!” With a battlecry, he leapt into the air and released his Fire Dragon Roar directly at the serpent’s face, searing its scales and drawing an enraged shriek. However, the serpent retaliated with a swipe of its tail, sending him flying back and then a tsunami crashing toward the mages.
“Natsu!” Lucy cried out as he crashed in the sand, but soon, most of them were swallowed up by the water.
Wendy, who had been lifted in the air just in the nick of time by Carla, was flying towards the serpent herself when she conjured up her Sky Dragon Wing Attack, sending waves of air at the monster.
“Requip!” Erza called out, her whole body shimmering with light as her armor transformed. Now, she wore her green Sea Empress Armor, which was her best option for aquatic fighting. She dashed forward, her crystal sword gleaming at her side, and cried, “Juvia! Get me up there!”
“On it!” Juvia replied, conjuring up the water to form tendrils around Erza as she approached before thrusting her hands out to her right, commanding the tendrils to throw Erza up in the air towards the serpent’s head.
The serpent saw her coming and was starting to sink down back into the water so Erza yelled out as she soared towards it, “Stop it from going back under!”
Hearing her command, Levy and Fried stepped up together, deciding to combine their writing rune magic to subdue the monster.
“Solid Script: Bind!” Levy cried.
“Dark Ecriture: Paralyze!” followed Fried.
Chains of both light and shadow shot out from the words and runes they drew in the air, intertwined with one another and they wrapped around the serpent’s midsection, halting its movements.
With the enemy now subdued, Erza brought her sword above her head and brought it down upon the back of the serpent’s neck, striking it hard and with all the strength she could muster.
Down on the beach, Mira, Lisanna, Elfman, Lucy and Cana were now helping all the civilians that were still around get to safety, urging them to get further inland and towards the nearby resort.
Gray joined in on the fight, bringing his fist to his open palm. “Ice Make: Lance!” From his hands came bolts of spear-like ice bolts that attacked the body of the monster.
Beside him, Juvia commented, “Nicely done, my love.”
Laxus ran up into the shallow water, summoning up a surge of his Lightning Dragon electricity in his hand, and then he punched down into the sand, sending the electric current up the water and electrocuting the sea serpent. It writhed and convulsed, shrieking loudly in pain, with Erza holding onto one of the spikes on its back.
At that point, Lucy happened to look up and spotted something; a light soaring through the sky in their general direction with what appeared to be two people on it. She could see turquoise hair, which she recognized as Genna's, and then…was that Gajeel behind her?
“Look up there!” she called, pointing up into the sky.
Anyone within earshot of her all paused and looked up.
“That's Genna!” cried Levy.
“And…Gajeel?!” Natsu then exclaimed in disbelief.
In the sky, Genna and Gajeel were getting just over the sea serpent’s head, prepping for their attack.
“You ready, Princess?” Gajeel asked in Genna’s ear.
“Ready when you are, Dragonslayer,” she replied.
As they got just above it, the monster caught sight of movement overhead and looked up in time to see them, opening its mouth and roaring at them.
“Now!” he shouted.
At his command, Genna willed the disc to spin so they both ended up upside down and started falling towards the sea serpent. As they went, Gajeel had grabbed hold of one of Genna’s hands so they stayed together in free-fall.
“Night Sky Blade!” she cried, the disc of light flying to her free hand and taking the shape of a large sword, the blade looking like it was literally made from the night sky and the edges glowing white.
“Iron Dragon’s Sword!” Gajeel then shouted, his other arm transforming into a jagged blade.
The two of them released each other’s hands, raised the swords high and, in seemingly perfect unison, brought them down upon the monster’s head. The power behind their strikes dealt a good blow to the serpent, disorienting it as it howled in pain. Its head reared back and, unfortunately, sent them both flying and they could hear their friends shouting their names in panic.
Thinking quickly, Genna summoned her Phoenix Wings and her glowing, starry wings spouted from her back, catching her in midair and helping her stay afloat. However, when she turned her head, she spotted Gajeel rocketing towards the water. She zoomed down in his direction, crying out his name. She came up behind him and grabbed him underneath his arms before flying back upwards. Though, it took a second because she realized how heavy he was and she almost couldn’t get up for a brief moment.
“You’re a lot heavier than you look,” she commented, straining.
“You've seen me without a shirt twice now and how muscular I am. You seriously didn’t think I’d be heavy?” he questioned, looking up at her.
Erza, who luckily had leapt off the beast in time and back onto the sand, saw the serpent was looking weary after the hit from Genna and Gajeel. “The serpent is weakened! Give it all you got!” she ordered everyone.
“Water Nebula!” Juvia cried, creating two pillars from the water around the serpent and making them swirl around in a helix formation around it, giving it more damage.
Simultaneously, Natsu leapt at the sea serpent and let loose his Fire Dragon’s Fist, punching the creature with a powerful, fire-boosted punch while Gray created an Ice Hammer that dropped down on the serpent’s back. Wendy, too, used her Sky Dragon Roar to cause even more damage.
“Come on, Gen, it’s almost down! Fly me down there!” Gajeel exclaimed, turning his arm back into his Iron Dragon’s Sword.
Without hesitation, Genna sped off through the air towards the beast, holding tightly to Gajeel to keep him from slipping out of her grasp. The sea serpent was close to being defeated; they had one more shot to take it down. She’d be able to get Gajeel to it in time, but she wasn’t sure if she’d be able to launch a good enough attack afterwards. Her magic energy was draining fast, keeping her wings up. How she wished there was something; anything she could do to help.
Suddenly, her hands began to glow a golden color and she could her magic energy pulsating, as if by its own will.
“What’re ya doin’?” Gajeel inquired, startled at the glowing hands holding him.
“I…I don’t know!” she cried back.
Golden swirls of stars then emanated from her hands and, to their even greater astonishment, the stars twirled around Gajeel’s sword before immersing into the iron and creating a brief pulse of light. He felt a surge of power rush through him almost like one of Laxus’ electric currents--which he’d experienced before a number of times--and his own magic energy seemed to have increased almost tenfold.
“Whoa!” he shouted in surprise. He’d had no idea what she’d just done, but now, he was feeling boosted even more for a final attack. He then cried out, “That’s exactly what I needed! Launch me, Genny!”
Still unsure of what had happened, she pushed it aside in her mind and prepared to throw him. She could feel the last of her energy depleting and in seconds, she was sure her wings would evaporate. Mustering up her strength, she spun around and flung him in the direction of the sea serpent.
“Take it down, Gajeel!” she yelled as she threw him.
Just after she let go, her magic faded like a whisper on the wind and her remaining strength was gone. Her wings disappeared and she plummeted towards the ocean, everything going dark as she fell and her last thoughts hoping Gajeel was able to help bring down the sea serpent for good.
With a new rush of magic power within him--foreign magic that still somehow felt right for him to utilize--Gajeel lifted his sword, ready to take a final strike just as he could see Natsu and Gray taking their hits, too. He was hurtling through the air like a cannonball of iron and fury, ready to end this fight.
Words then spilled from his mouth before he could even process what he was saying: “Starforged Iron Barrage!”
His sword made contact with the serpent’s body and shards of radiant metal burst forth from the area of impact, hitting the rest of the beast. An even higher-pitched, ear-piercing wail ripped from its throat. Its body spasmed and jerked and then, in seconds, it collapsed over into the ocean.
Cheers erupted from the other Fairy Tail wizards. They had defeated the giant sea serpent!
However, their victory was short-lived as Natsu spotted Genna falling through the air yards away. “Genna!” he cried as he watched her vanish beneath the water.
“Someone get her out of there!” shouted Cana, who was now running over to join the others along with Lucy, Lisanna, Mira and Elfman.
Wordlessly and without hesitation, Juvia surged forward. The water rose to meet her as if it recognized its master; a fellow wizard who could command the ocean’s every will. Her body rippled into her water form and she dove into the sea, disappearing beneath the surface in a blink of an eye.
Gajeel landed on the shore with a heavy thud, breathing hard as he wiped the sweat from his brow. That last hit had really taken a lot out of him, but he couldn’t have done it without Genna’s help. He looked up, expecting to see her still hovering in the sky, but she wasn’t there. Eyes wide, he scanned the sky for her, but she was nowhere to be seen. His heart started racing.
“Where is she? Where’s Genna?” he demanded aloud to no one in particular.
“She fell into the water,” Natsu said, stepping forward. “Juvia went in after her.”
Gajeel didn’t wait for anything else. He sprinted down the beach, fists clenched tightly. What had happened? Had she been hit? If he had just stayed with her instead of having her launch him to the sea serpent, he could’ve been there to help her.
Wait…why was he this concerned about her? This wasn’t like him. Yeah, he’d agreed to let her be his friend not even a few minutes earlier, but now, he was worrying like crazy over her. What was going on with him?
The water churned close by and Juvia burst from the waves, carrying Genna in her arms. The girl was limp, soaked, her hair now completely undone from the fun buns and the braid and spread across her face.
“I’ve got her!” Juvia called.
She had barely touched the shallows before Gajeel was before her, grabbing Genna from her arms with a gentleness that almost startled Juvia.
“Thanks, Juvia,” he muttered, barely looking at his fellow guildmate as he sank to his knees in the wet sand, cradling Genna against him.
“I saw what happened,” stated Laxus. “Her wings suddenly vanished after she threw you at the serpent. Her magic energy must’ve given out.”
Gajeel registered what Laxus said, but said nothing in response, his focus trained solely on Genna’s pale face. “C’mon,” he murmured quietly, lightly shaking her. “Don’t do this. Wake up, Genna.”
“I’ll heal her. She needs help breathing. Hold her steady, Gajeel,” Wendy told him, coming over and dropping to her knees beside him. Her hands radiated blue light while she held them over Genna’s chest.
He held her firmly while Wendy worked her healing magic. The girl was a great healer, so he knew it would only be a matter of seconds before Genna would be back up. She'd better be or he wasn't gonna be very happy about it.
Sure enough, a few seconds later, Genna’s eyes flashed open and she gasped, turning to the side. Water spilled from her mouth as her chest jolted, coughing and sputtering.
“Easy there. I got ya,” he soothed her as she coughed up the last of the water.
After coughing a little more and catching her breath, she fell back into his arms and looked up at him. “Did you get it?” she asked weakly.
He grinned at her. “Yeah, we got it,” he answered.
She gave the smallest smile and then dropped her head against his chest, exhausted.
A moment later, he gradually helped her back up to her feet as everyone else gathered around them.
Lucy declared, “Genna, what you did up there was amazing!”
“Yeah, you launched a Dragonslayer. That's insane,” Natsu added, thoroughly impressed.
“Indeed. You showed great strength with such a feat,” complimented Erza, who was now back in her bikini.
Genna chuckled. “You're telling me. Gajeel's pretty heavy.”
“Give me a break,” Gajeel said, rolling his eyes.
Juvia, who was still standing beside them, laid a hand on Genna's shoulder. “You are much stronger than you think. Even the ocean didn't wish to take you.”
“Thanks, Juvia,” Genna replied.
After that, everyone else came up to offer Genna and Gajeel their congratulations on their part in the fight, but Gajeel quickly pushed past all of them, not wanting any of the attention.
The tumultuous storm had now passed. The massive carcass of the sea serpent lay tangled in the shallows, its black scales dull in the moonlight. The once-violent waves were now calm once more, lapping at the shore with a rhythmic silence. Scorch marks, frost patches and torn up sand marked the beach, all silent proof of Fairy Tail’s victory. Cheers still echoed from the beach as Natsu and Gray bickered over who actually landed the finishing blow. Their arguing ended, though, once Erza came in, knocked them both in the heads and said they both landed the final blow as well as Gajeel.
Who, at the moment, was standing apart from everyone else.
He was further up the beach, contemplating walking away. He'd done his part in the fight and just felt that need to be away coming back. He glanced back at the rest of the guild, seeing them celebrating and gathering up their things to head back to the resort. His eyes found Genna, who was already looking more herself; smiling and laughing with Levy, Natsu and Wendy. It was good seeing her like that again. Seeing her unconscious before had stirred a sense of distress within him that he didn't like. He'd rather not go through that again. This was why he distanced himself from other people. He didn't want to get too attached to anyone and risk letting his emotions cloud his judgement.
This girl, however, was making that hard.
While she was distracted by the others, he figured now would be a good time to start slipping away. He would see her back at the guild hall eventually.
Genna, however, noticed him walking away.
As Natsu, Wendy and Levy began walking away, she saw movement further down the beach and recognized the mane of spiky black hair leaving. She couldn't believe he was trying to sneak away again. Still sticking with the “lone wolf” thing, even after everything they'd talked about before. She didn't want him to have to go alone. Not this time.
“You should go after him, Genna,” said a voice behind her.
When she turned around, there was Erza standing there, her arms folded across her chest and an understanding smile on her face.
“I know of your ambition to befriend him,” she went on. “He believes he should be alone, but I think you're just the right person to show him it doesn't need to be that way.”
“How do you know?” Genna inquired.
The scarlet-haired warrior snickered. “Just a feeling. We've all tried our best with him, but things seem different with you. Your combined skills with him in the fight with the serpent as well as his concern for you when Juvia brought you out of the water is proof that you're special.” Then she lightly nudged Genna with her elbow. “He needs someone like you. The two of you make a good team, too.”
Genna glanced back at Gajeel heading in the opposite direction. “I don't like the thought of him being alone.”
“That’s what we do in Fairy Tail: we don’t let each other walk alone,” Erza said to reaffirm Genna's words.
Those words struck a chord within Genna and she knew immediately that Erza was right. She had to follow after Gajeel. After giving her a thankful smile, Genna ran off, calling out for Gajeel.
He stopped upon hearing her, but didn't turn around.
“You’re not coming back to the resort?” she asked gently as she halted behind him.
Gajeel still kept his back to her, but turned slightly over his shoulder. “Wasn't plannin’ to. I’ll head back to the guild tonight.”
Genna blinked, taken aback. “Back to Magnolia? On foot? Gajeel, that’s hours away.”
He shrugged, finally glancing at her over his shoulder. “I came here on my own already. Don’t need anyone fussin’ over me.”
She didn't respond for a moment. It didn't seem like a good idea for him to go alone, but she wondered if she was in good enough shape to walk all the way back to Magnolia. Though, she was feeling a little stronger now thanks to Wendy’s healing. Maybe she'd be okay. Even so, she was still determined to not let him be alone. Not anymore.
“Then I'm coming with you,” she stated.
That was what got him to turn around fully to face her, his eyes narrowed skeptically. “Don't be stupid.”
“I'm not. I'm just stubborn.”
“You're in no condition to walk all that way.”
“Wendy's healing has helped me enough. Besides…I'll be with you. You'll help me along the way if I need it, won't you?”
There was a long silence between them, broken only by the rushing of the waves. Gajeel finally sighed and rubbed a hand over the back of his neck. Once again, this girl was insistent…and he was beginning to find he liked that about her. He finally looked at her again; really looked this time. There was no pity in her bright blue eyes, just steadiness and familiarity. A quiet, shared understanding between them that went beyond words now.
Then he heaved a heavy sigh. “Suit yourself, then,” he said.
She smiled. “Great. I'm going to run back to the resort, grab my things and change my clothes. I'm not walking back in my swimsuit. Did you bring extra clothes?”
Gesturing back to the trees with his head, he said back, “They're back in the cave.”
“Good. Wait for me…and don't try to sneak off without me.”
“At this point, I don't know if I dare, anyway.” Then he smirked at her. “Don't worry. I'll be here.”
Satisfied, she trusted his words and darted off back to the resort, preparing herself for another long journey home.
Tumblr media
The road winding away from the beach was narrow and would be long back to Magnolia, but it wasn't a road they were unfamiliar with. The moon cast their long shadows ahead of them and the only sounds were their footsteps and the distant crashing of the ocean now far behind them.
For a while, they didn’t speak.
Gajeel wasn't one for small talk and Genna wasn’t sure if she should fill silence for the sake of it. She was just glad to walk beside him and be with him on the way home. Even more than that, she was glad he didn't fight her too much on it and let her come with him. If they were to simply be silent the whole way back, then she would have no complaints.
Eventually, Gajeel exhaled sharply. “You didn’t have to come, ya know.”
“I know,” she replied.
“Then why did you?”
She looked ahead at the moonlit road. “I'm pretty sure I made why quite clear back in the cave.”
Gajeel didn’t answer right away. He kicked a stone off the path and watched it tumble along.
“After everything I said to you, why would you still choose to try and leave on your own?”
His gaze was lowered, jaw clenched tight like he was chewing on his words before saying them. “It’s nothin’ to do with you or everyone else or even tryin’ to stay alone,” he started. “It’s just...after a fight…I get this feeling…like I don’t know what to do with myself. Everyone’s celebrating and I’m still in fight mode. It doesn’t go away that quick and I just…need to get away.”
Genna nodded in understanding. “The aftermath sometimes is louder and more overwhelming than the fight itself. It floods your mind and you become restless trying to process it all.”
He glanced at her sharply in surprise. Then he smirked faintly. “You get it,” he noticed.
“I do. More than you think,” she said in return.
A couple more minutes of silence passed before Genna said aloud, “You know, I honestly thought you would argue more.”
“About what?” he asked.
“Me tagging along, of course.”
Gajeel glanced at her, then looked away with a faint grunt. “I did.”
“Not very well.”
He smirked. “Guess I knew it wouldn’t work.”
Genna playfully shoved him with her shoulder.
Then he said to her, “I got a question for ya.”
“What's up?”
“Near the end of the fight earlier, when your hands started glowin’ and your magic fused with mine somehow…what was that all about?”
That whole ordeal had also been weighing on her mind since it had happened. “Honestly…I have no idea. I knew my magic energy was low and I wasn't sure if I'd be able to get in an attack after letting you go. I remember wishing that there was something more I could do and then that suddenly happened. It was as if my magic acted on its own.”
“That's never happened before?” he asked.
Shaking her head, she responded, “No, never. What even happened to you?”
He lifted a hand up in front of his face, his fingers flexing as he recalled how her power had felt. “Well, first, it felt like I'd been sucker-punched by one of Laxus’ lightning bolts; like a wave of electricity shot through me. After that, my own power felt stronger than it had before.”
Genna stopped abruptly and Gajeel halted, as well, just a couple steps ahead of her. “My magic gave you a boost?” she clarified. “I didn't even know that was possible! I had no idea I could do that.”
“Are you serious?”
She nodded. Then she added, “Also, I heard you shout something as you attacked with that just before I lost consciousness. ‘Starforged Iron Barrage’?”
His cheeks went pink and he looked away timidly.
“You gave that unknown ability a name?” she asked him.
“Yeah, it just…kinda came to mind and slipped out in the moment,” he replied,
That response got a giggle out of her. “I actually liked it,” she told him.
He gave her a curious look. “Really?”
She nodded. Though, knowing he probably wouldn’t want too much attention on him at the moment, she moved on from the subject by asking, “Do you plan on walking all night back to Magnolia?”
“Do you need to stop and rest?” he asked, his tone riddled with concern instead of sarcasm like she expected.
There was a part of her that thought resting would be a good idea, but she also didn’t want to appear weak in front of him, especially after saying she’d be okay going with him.
When she hesitated to answer, he knew immediately that something was up. “All right, we can either stop to rest or I’m carryin’ you the rest of the way. Take your pick.”
Genna’s breath hitched at the thought of being carried in Gajeel’s arms. “There’s no way you’d actually carry me all the way back to the guild,” she said, calling his bluff.
His stare didn’t waver. “Try me.”
She smirked. There was no way he’d do it. “Okay, fine,” she relented. “Go ahead. Let’s see you carry me, tough guy.”
He didn’t hesitate. In one smooth motion, he stepped forward, ducked slightly, and scooped her up into his arms bridal style with absolutely no sign of effort.
Genna cried out in alarm, arms instinctively looping around his neck. “Gajeel Redfox! Put me down!”
He raised a studded eyebrow at her. “Thought you gave me the go-ahead, Genny Whitesun.”
“I didn’t think you’d actually do it!” she exclaimed.
“Now you know better than to call me out like that.”
She sighed dramatically, but she didn’t struggle. He then resumed walking and showed no signs of actually going to put her down. She kept her eyes on his stoic face as they went, his red eyes keeping straight ahead. As per usual, he was hard to read. Was he enjoying this? Was he doing it because he was just being helpful or was there more behind it like she secretly hoped? It was back in the cave that she felt she’d finally made a breakthrough with him in getting him to accept her as a friend, but she figured there wasn’t a chance that he was developing feelings for her the same way she was for him. His iron walls were tough to break, but she was determined to keep working at it. It was all going to take time.
Instinctively, she slid her arms back down, closed her eyes and laid her head against his shoulder. In the moment, she didn’t care if that was too forward. It’s what she wanted. She felt Gajeel’s arms stiffen up for a second at her getting comfortable, but then they relaxed shortly after. There was still a light night breeze blowing, but she could barely feel it because she was encompassed by the warmth of his body. It made her feel safe and at home, even.
Unbeknownst to her, he was silently enjoying carrying her. For one, she was light as a feather to him and honestly, he was confident he could indeed carry her all the way back to the guild hall without breaking a sweat. He glanced down at her face, taking in her peaceful expression as she had her head leaned up on his chest with her eyes closed. He had watched her fight and hold her own a couple times now, but it was moments like these where she looked so innocent and small that made him forget how strong she could be. There was a part of him that wanted to protect her. This girl had been persistent in forming a friendship with him, so it felt only right to return the favor and take her under his wing; keep her safe and watch out for her.
And that’s what he was gonna do.
Another few silent minutes went by before Genna spoke up to Gajeel, saying, “Gajeel, you really don’t have to keep carrying me. I’m okay to stop for the night.”
“If you’re sure,” he relented. “There’s a spot by the river comin' up that I know. We’ll bunk down there and I’ll get a fire goin'.”
“Sounds like a plan,” she said.
Tumblr media
The fire had burned low, its embers glowing like scattered stars in the ash and casting a gentle orange hue over the riverbank. Crickets chirped softly in the distance and the rippling of the water sang in harmony with them.
Gajeel was sitting opposite Genna, his back against a smooth boulder, arms crossed and his head tilted slightly back as he stared at the night sky. Genna sat with her knees pulled up, arms wrapped loosely around them. Her gaze was fixed on the low flames, but her thoughts were elsewhere, thinking about everything that had taken place the day before. It was still sometimes hard to believe that she was really part of Fairy Tail; that she was able to experience all these things like the day at the beach with them. Even though it had only been a couple weeks, it was now hard to imagine how things would be without them.
“You ever wonder where you’d be if things in your life had gone just a little differently?” she asked quietly.
Gajeel’s eyes glanced over to her, his crimson irises catching the light of the fire that made them almost glow. “All the time,” he answered. “And you?”
She nodded slowly. “I think about it, too. If I’d made one wrong turn or one different decision…and maybe if I’d never joined Fairy Tail. Either I’d still be miserable, stuck in my old guild with my dad and my brother, or maybe I’d be just some no-name wanderer in a random town somewhere.”
Gajeel grunted in response. “Nah. You wouldn’t be some no-name. You’d stand out. You always do no matter where you go.”
She glanced over at him, surprised. “You really think so? That’s kind of you to say.”
“Don’t get used to it.” He leaned his head back against the boulder again, staring up at the embers that were floating up from the fire.
Genna couldn’t help but smirk a little. It was sweet hearing him say such nice things about her. She leaned her chin on her knees. “What about you?”
He didn’t answer right away. A long exhale left him and he kept his eyes on the sky. “There were plenty of times I thought I should’ve made a different choice,” he said. “Back when I was with my old guild, especially. I did a lot of things I ain’t proud of. I didn’t...understand what it meant to belong anywhere. I didn’t think I deserved to.”
She watched him silently, not interrupting.
“But if it wasn't for all that, then I wouldn’t have come across Fairy Tail,” he kept going. “They took me in, even after everythin’ I’d done. That change was…confusing. Suddenly havin' people care…trust me…call me a friend. It still is, sometimes.”
Genna nodded. “Yeah. I understand that.”
“I still feel like an outsider sometimes,” he said, his voice low. “Like if I disappeared, things would just keep goin’ fine without me.”
“Maybe they would keep going,” she said softly, “but things would not be fine without you.”
He looked at her then and she met his gaze, her eyes unwavering.
“You matter to them, Gajeel,” she emphasized. “I’ve heard it from some of them myself. You matter to me, too.”
He didn’t look away, but the glint of something in his expression akin to vulnerability was there for just a moment before he leaned back again and exhaled. “You’re annoying when you’re right, Genny.”
Genna smiled faintly. “Get used to it.”
He just let out a little “hmph”, but she saw the slight upward curve of his mouth in the firelight as he closed his eyes.
Looking back at the fire, Genna then said, hugging her knees a little tighter, “You know, I keep thinking about what happened earlier...when my magic acted on its own and merged with yours somehow. It felt like that…maybe that was supposed to happen. Not only that, but the way we fought the serpent together…I feel like we made a great team.”
The Iron Dragon simply hummed back, his eyes remaining closed.
She went on, keeping her eyes on the flames, “Erza even said the same to me before I left. That got me thinking…I know there are a few different small teams in Fairy Tail. Levy has Shadow Gear with Jett and Droy. Natsu has his team with Lucy, Gray, Erza and Wendy. Even Laxus has the Thunder Legion with Fried, Evergreen and Bixslow. They all work great together…and that’s how I’ve felt when I’ve fought alongside you. Back on our first job and even more so today when we took on the sea beast. It’s made me think that maybe…we could do the same. What if you, me and Lily formed a team of our own?”
Genna lifted her head and she looked over at Gajeel…and then grinned and shook her head. He was now fast asleep against the boulder, his light snoring in tandem with the crackling of the fire. This was the man who was so confident he could carry her all night back to the guild hall and after only a few minutes of resting by the fire was already out like a light. That was quite amusing to her. She got the feeling he hadn’t heard anything about her proposal, but that was fine. She figured she’d bring it up to him again later, most likely back at the guild since that would probably be more comfortable for the both of them. Right now, she’d let him sleep and take in the content image before her of him asleep. No stress lines in his face; no anger, annoyance or stoicism at all.
She stood up, grabbed a blanket from the ground beside him and draped it over him, making sure he’d be kept warm through the night. Then she took a chance and did something she knew she wouldn’t have the courage to do if he was awake: she bent down and lightly kissed his cheek.
“Good night, Gajeel,” she whispered.
After that, she moved over to where she’d been sitting before, grabbed her own blanket and laid down on the ground, ready to fall asleep herself.
However, what she didn’t know was that the feeling of her lips on Gajeel’s skin had caused him to silently wake and he’d registered what she’d done…and he drifted back to sleep with a grin on his face.

I think I might take a little break from The Captain and the Senator. Just a week, nothing outrageous. With two chapters left, I wanna slow down and make sure I end it well. By the looks of it, I’ll probably start a follow-up series. I mean, nothing’s stopping me from just continuing this one, but I wanted it to take place during the events of The Bad Batch show. The sequel series would take place after, which would be uncharted territory and so a little more freeing. I also intended for Rex and Riyo to sort of give up their titles by series end (Chapter 6 put that goal within range). But tbh I haven’t landed on a definitive outline yet, so we’ll see 🤷🏻‍♀️
For now, I started two other fics. One is an abandoned idea for the end of Chapter 6, but retooled to be female-reader instead of Riyo-focused. And the other is Riyo x Rex x Echo lolol So much for taking a break from The Captain and the Senator 💀 With any luck, I’ll have one of those up by week’s end.
I might start migrating my other fics to AO3 this week. Again, just something to take my mind of the series.
Hope everyone’s staying cool and hydrated. - M

Under the Stars
Tumblr media
Frankie Morales x reader
Notes: This was in Ask from the lovely @lucy-sky asking for "I think I'm in love with you and I'm terrified". You gave me a choice between Steven and Frankie, but I had to choose Frankie, cause this idea just came to me. Hope you like it 😘❤
Plus, the way Frankie says "the new baby" in TF, he definitely has more than one kid. You can't change my mind, this is the hill I die on 😆
Warnings: None, fluff. Maybe slight hate towards a certain holiday and some insecurities, but it's all just very fluffy.
Words: 2190
Tumblr media
As you sit back down on the couch with a new batch of beers, Benny shouts at the tv.
“That judge is a fucking disgrace!”
Benny grumbles as he downs his beer, opening a new one. You smile softly, looking around the living room at the guys. You’ve known them for a few years, and you counted yourself lucky to have these four men in your life.
When the commercial break begins, instantly there is an add for Valentine’s day. Fucking valentines. You hated that day. Was it just because you were hopelessly single? Yes, but seriously. It was always so overdone and so extreme.
“The big V. What plans do you guys have?” Will asks, smiling. Sure, he could smile. He actually have someone to celebrate with. You really weren’t bitter, you just… Okay, maybe a little.
“I plan on being horizontal with Jessie” Santi smirks.
“Well, I have Gabby and Elena, so… Mac and cheese along with some cartoons” Frankie smiles softly.
“No plans. Yet.” Benny smirks, ever so confident, but he had no reason not to be. “And I guess you and Louisa have plans?” he smiles, looking at his older brother.
“Yeah, classic date night. Dinner and a movie”. The others make puking noises, mocking Will. He just laughs it off and smile, as he takes another sip of his beer. Santi then looks towards you.
“What about you? Any plans for Valentines?”
You huff, emptying your beer. “Nope, still tragically single” you force a smile, even though you know that all can see its fake. They know you too well. “I’ve actually never had a Valentines date before, so why start now?”
As you try to laugh it off, they all look shocked. “Never?” Frankie says softly, clearly upset on your behalf.
“No. Guess no one thought I was worth it.”
There’s a glimpse of sadness in your eyes, but you quickly fake yet another smile, trying to seem indifferent. It was just a stupid holiday anyways. Capitalism at it’s finest. Still, it hurt. All the guys look at you, a sad expression on their faces. That’s exactly why you’d never told them.
Before they begin feeling too sorry for you, you stand, giving Frankie’s shoulder a small squeeze.
Frankie watches you leave, wishing he had said something. He could have invited you to spend the night with him and the girls, but kids forcing you to watch Coco for the hundredth time might not be what you really wanted.
“Well, I have to go. But good luck with your dates. See you Sunday.”
Tumblr media
“She deserves a Valentine’s date”.
Knowing for years how Frankie feels about you, the other’s just exchange a knowing look, silently concocting a plan. Benny scoots closer, one hand coming to rest at Frankie’s shoulder.
“I could babysit the girls, so you can take her on a date.”
Frankie just laughs at what clearly must be a joke. He really wasn’t good enough for you with all the shit he’d been through. You probably wouldn’t even wanna go with him.
“No, she… Well, I didn’t mean me, I…” he stumbles a little over his words, flustered. “Maybe you, Benny? You’re younger, more handsome. Maybe more her type.”
Frankia looks down, fidgeting with the label of his beer. Truth be told, the thought of Benny taking you on a date would kill him. Why did he even suggest that? Because he was to much of a coward, that’s why.
“Nah, I’m more of a Mac n’ cheese, cartoons kind of guy. You go, Fish. And we’ll help you set it up”
V day had arrived, and you felt kinda pathetic, siting on your couch, takeaway menu in hand. Pizza or Chinese? Did it even matter? Sighing loudly, you drop the menu to the table, taking another sip of wine. On the screen, another woman got slashed. Horror movie, perfect for anti-valentines.
Tumblr media
You almost don’t hear the sound of your doorbell over a scream. Dragging yourself from the couch, you walk over and open the door, wondering who it could be.
To your surprise, Frankie is there and… is that a bouquet of Gerber daisies in his hand? What was going on? For a second a horrible thought runs through your head. He has a date, and he needs you to babysit. Fuck, that would just be your luck.
“Frankie, what are you doing here?”
Smiling, clearly nervous, Frankie hands you the bouquet. Gerber daisies in all possible colors, almost like a little rainbow. Just like you loved them.
“I’m taking you on a Valentine’s date”
Speechless, you stand frozen for a sec, before you take the flowers from him and find a vase for them. Looking back, Frankie is still standing in the doorway, fidgeting with his hands. If you didn’t know better, you’d swear he was nervous. No, that can’t be. This is probably just a pity date, but you’re grateful anyways.
“Ehm, I should go change. What kind of date is it?”
“Well, what you have on is great. Maybe bring a sweater.” Frowning, you look down at your worn jeans and Frankie’s old Fleetwood Mac t-shirt, that you’d shamelessly stolen a few months back. You’re not exactly dressed for a date.
“You’re beautiful,” he says softly, his hand nervously running through his curls, before putting his cap back on. “You always are. Should we?”
You turn to grab a sweater, hoping Frankie didn’t notice the blush creeping up your cheeks.
As you sit in the car, wondering where Frankie will take you, there's a strange feeling in your stomach. Actual butterflies. When was the last time you felt this way? You couldn't even remember.
Wait, you shouldn't even feel this way. This is Frankie. One of your best friends. But as you look to your side, Frankie giving you a cute sideways smile, you can't ignore the way your stomach is fluttering. He looks at the shirt, gently tugging at the hem of the sleeve.
“You should keep it. Looks so much better on you, anyways.”
Shortly after the truck stops. All around you, it's dark and you can barely see a thing. If he weren’t your friend, you’d be scared, getting horror movie vibes from the dark outline of trees. Confused, you turn to Frankie. He just smiles and holds his finger up.
"Just… give me a second, okay?"
You nod as he jumps out of his truck. You take out your phone, passing the time, as you feel the truck moving and Frankie running around, soft grunts coming from the bed of his truck. What is he doing? Before you can open the window and ask if everything is okay, he opens your door.
"Ready?"
He holds out his hand for you to take. A soft smile grazes your lips, as you take his hand, and he helps you out of the truck. He gently leads you to the back and the sight leaves you speechless. Between four poles, one in each corner, is a light chain. It lights up the entire bed of the truck in a soft glow. The bed is covered by a mattress and several pillows and blankets. It looks like a cozy little paradise.
"Frankie… this is…"
You have trouble finding the words, making him a little nervous you might not like it. But seeing your face, he smiles, moving closer to the truck.
"Ehm, I've brought some food and" he opens a little bag and pulls out a computer with a speaker. "Benny helped me set this up with a movie".
He smiles at you, looking so proud. Your heart swell, beating faster than ever before. Never in your life has anyone been this considerate, put this much effort into anything for you.
"So… picnic, drive-in movie and star gazing all in one?" you say with a playful tone in your voice, still in disbelief.
"Yeah, well… You said once you’d like to try those things so… " he shrugs, before gesturing for you to climb up. As you get cozy, Frankie pulls out a lot of small containers and bags. He shrugs apologetically at the amount of food.
“The girls helped. Kept saying what you liked so…”
He looks down, a proud smile on his face. Those girls mean everything to him, and it always make your heart soar the way he talks about them, smiles just by hearing their names. Having spent countless hours with them, babysitting every chance you got, you loved them too. Which made their little contribution to the date all the more sweeter.
Knowing Frankie isn’t exactly a tech genius, you decide to take charge of the computer. He’s not dumb, far from it, just not tech savvy. Frankie mumbles the code to you as he finds the cooler with beers, and when the screen lights up, you grin. Your favorite movie. Of course. He really had thought about everything, hadn’t he?
Over halfway through the movie, the food is gone and you’re on your second beer. So far it had been beyond anything you could hope for. The food had been so delicious, so you suspected Will had helped Frankie and the girls. The lights looked like the ones from Santi’s backyard. And Benny’s computer? So… They had all had a hand in this. You giggle, drawing Frankie’s attention.
“What is it, Querida?”
“It’s just… All so perfect. Thank you so much, Frankie” you look into his beautiful brown eyes, seeing nothing but love in his gaze. How many times had you looked at him, lost yourself in the depths of his dark orbs? Swallowing hard, you realize if there ever was a time to do something, anything, this would be it.
“Only one thing missing though.”
He gives you a puzzled look, but it’s soon replaced by nervousness as you scoot closer, leaning against him. As you place your head on his chest, the sound of his heart is almost deafening.
“Is this okay?” you ask softly, putting your hand to his chest.
“More than okay.”
His arm slowly closes around you, pulling you closer, while the other pulls a blanket over you. The rest of the film you lay like this, listening to Frankie’s heartbeat. At some point, his hand found yours, his fingers slowly interlacing with yours.
“Querida, I… I really want to kiss you.”
His words are barely above a whisper, maybe afraid you’ll reject him. If he only knew that exact thought had run through your head thousand of times. Shifting, you look up at him, the silent plea hanging in the air. Frankie leans closer, cupping your cheek gently. His eyes search yours, as he wets his bottom lip, before pulling you into a sweet kiss.
His soft, warm lips dance against yours, tentative at first. But when you lean into his, deepening the kiss, his kisses grow more confident, more passionate.
When he breaks away from you, you’re left speechless. For a while you look into his eyes and he into yours, no words necessary. You give him another kiss, before laying back down into his strong embrace. Finally you were here and you’d never want it any other way.
Contempt. That would be the word closest to what you felt. Happy, too. As you lay there in his arms, listening quietly to him telling you about the stars, stories from his time in the service, anything really, you can’t really imagine life being any better than this. Soon you find it hard to keep your eyes open, Frankie’s deep velvety voice almost hypnotic.
After yet another story about how he and Santi pranked Will, he laughs softly. He’d never told anyone that story. There’s just something you that makes him want to tell you anything, share every part of himself with you. With you he could be himself. You even knew the bad things about him, and you were still here.
Tumblr media
Gently caressing your hair, he leans down and give your forehead a soft kiss, a huge smile adorning his face.
“Querida, I… I hope you know how much you mean to me. I really like you. Actually, I… I think I’m in love with you and I’m terrified.”
He pauses, looking up at the stars for a second, before turning his attention back to you. His heart is beating rapidly, never felt like this before.
“I’m terrified I’m not good enough for you, but I promise I will do my best, if you give me the chance. Cause I… I really love you”
Silence falls between the two of you, only the faint sound of animals rustling in the woods can be heard. Frankie gets nervous at your lack of response.
“Querida?”
Shifting a little, a soft snore fills the silent night air. You’re sleeping. Breathing a sigh of relief, Frankie just tugs you closer to his chest, pulling the blanket closer, making sure you’re warm. Damn. Hopefully he can remember the speech again tomorrow. It was kinda great, if he’d say so himself.
He smiles to himself, kissing your head before whispering a soft goodnight, falling asleep under the stars.
Thank you so much for reading <3

Any chance we could get another snippet (or more, we’ll take anything we can get :))of the crohns Buck au?
oh my goodness, hello!! yes of course, here's a crohns buck snippet for you, lovely anon <3 sorry i am being so slow with this one, i'm a little stuck with it at the moment, unfortunately! but here is a long(ish) snippet to make up for it, i hope you like!! xx
“Buck!” he says, face lighting up. There’s another nurse there with him this time, a brown-haired woman who gives off the strongest no-nonsense vibes Buck has ever seen.
“Hey, Eddie,” Buck smiles. And look, if he feels a little bit warm at the way that Eddie remembers his name – his actual name, not just the one on his chart? Well then, that’s his business. Buck’s allowed to feel a little enamoured with a cute boy if he wants to be.
“Wanna get me a weight and grab a seat?” Eddie asks. “I’ll be with you in just a sec.” It’s not a dismissal – the clinic is much busier today than it was last time, and several of the cushy recliners are taken up by other patients already. The other nurse is crouched at the side of a girl in sweatpants with chunky headphones around her neck, and Eddie is prepping the supplies for an IV for an older guy with a square jaw. You would think that the other patients would sometimes be familiar – how many people can need an infusion clinic, right? But no – every time he comes in, it’s a new batch of strangers. They don’t ever talk much – Buck mostly just puts in his headphones while he reads, or sleeps, or watches a couple of episodes from Netflix.
He brought his headphones today – he hadn’t been expecting Eddie again. But he doesn’t get them out. He steps onto the scale up against the wall, frowns at the number that pops up. Down again.
Eddie materializes at his shoulder. “Not good news, this week?”
Buck shrugs. “Been trying to get back to the kind of bulk I had before… well, before.” He lost a bunch of weight when he was first diagnosed, and he’s been diligently trying to get himself back up. It’s harder than he thought it would be: it’s tough, not really having full control over his own body. No matter what he does, he can’t seem to bulk the way he used to. “Not going as well as I want it to.”
He turns just in time to see Eddie’s gaze travel down his arms. “You look plenty bulked up to me,” he says, and the blushes. Buck watches, fascinated by the way the tips of his ears go pink.

60th Batch Of Fics: 8th Fill
Hanzo/Cassidy – Trucker AU – Part 4 – Things look different in the light of day... but they won't for long.
---
“So… how old’re ya?”
Cole peers over toward the kid who had been sitting there sullenly for the past hour they’ve been on the road. He’s leaning against the door, basically leaning as far away from Cole as physically possible. Someone doesn’t take it well when they don’t get their will, it seems.
Hanzo peers at him but does not immediately reply. He’s pulled his hood up so Cole can barely see his face; merely the tip of his nose is visible most of the time.
“You got any ID on ya?” he asks with a sigh, fingers drumming against the steering wheel. He’s looking out for a place where he can get them something to eat.
“No.” Well at least that’s an answer. He scratches his chin through his beard as he thinks this through, then shrugs with one shoulder.
“Figures. Pray that we won’t get pulled over by the cops, then.”
That makes Hanzo shift a little and look at him, his eyes narrowed with distrust. Before he can ask anything, Cole elaborates: “You’re 21. For anyone askin’. An’ if they wanna see papers, you’ll just hafta use yer charm or somethin’.”
When no reaction comes, he briefly peers over again. The kid is now looking at him proper, his face dark with anger. He looks different in proper lighting. Really pretty. Cole hadn’t even noticed it last night; no wonder with all the shitty illumination on that parking lot.
“Don’t lookit me like that. S far as I know, you done much worse things than suck dick to get outta trouble, hm? Least with a cop you know they probably showered that day.”
Hanzo just stares daggers into the side of his face for a few moments longer before slumping back against the door, arms crossed over his chest. It really makes him wonder how old the kid is. There’s a timeless beauty about him; he’d believe any age he’d give him at this point.
After a few more minutes of angry silence, Cole leans turns on the radio, bent on ignoring the little whore until he wants to use him again. He went through the trouble of taking him along even though he swore himself not to; he should just stop worrying and enjoy it while it lasts.
He has no idea whether Hanzo even enjoys the music, though in the end that’s not really important either.
What is important is that he’s starting to get really hungry so when he sees a sign for a rest stop a few more minutes down the road, he turns the radio down again to talk to the whore he picked up.
“So. You remember what I told you last night? About ridin’ with me.”
“Yes,” Hanzo replies sullenly.
“Tell me. So I know you understood.” He has no idea what’s going around in the bimbo’s head but if he’s as dumb as he’s pretty – which seems very likely at this point – Cole wants to make sure that the rules are crystal clear.
“No valuables. No buttons.”
Cole hums. He focuses on turning off the road, still no more enlightened as to how clever Hanzo is.
He parks over one entire lane of parking slots; he won’t be long anyway and there is only one other car on the other side of the lot for now.
“Good. No buttons. That’s the important thing here. Keep yer li’l hands off the dashboard and we’ll get on fine.” He grabs his wallet off said dashboard where he always has it in sight and it won’t annoy him in his pockets. “Anything particular you wanna eat?”
Hanzo shrugs one shoulder. The kid is already reaching for the door release on his side, but after tugging on it twice with no avail, his head snaps around to stare daggers at Cole. To be honest, he don’t quite appreciate the attitude going along with the little slut.
“That door’s busted, sweetheart,” he drawls. “You also should just stay in here. Stay outta trouble. Be a good girl and set the table.”
The kid expression, which had become progressively stormier, clears up suddenly in confusion. Cole gestures vaguely to their sleeping area.
“Figure it out.” He pushes his door open and hops out. Just before closing it again and locking the kid in he calls: “Gonna use ya after breakfast. So get cozy with that thought, baby girl.”
.oOo.
Hanzo glares at the opposite door. Part of him thinks about just breaking out – he’s a trained criminal, that wouldn’t be hard – but in the end he’s kind of glad to stay inside. He has no idea whether his father’s men have seen him slipping into the truck. They might have followed them here and out in the middle of nowhere it’s just too dangerous to wander about.
So he looks around the cab to get a feel of the place. He hadn’t been able to see much last night; in the light of day he can see that he’s been right: the sleeping place had been artificially made smaller by a piece of wood that the cowboy had put up like some kind of wall right behind the mattress.
It does not take a genius once he peered around it, to figure out that he can pull the wood out and lay it over an empty crate to make a makeshift table right there. He does not want to be impressed, but he kind of is regardless.
He leaves the table where it is and keeps looking around. Every few seconds he twists to peer out of the windshield and see whether the fat guy is lumbering his way back already.
There are quite a few compartments which he pops open to peer inside, but there is nothing too interesting for the most part; just clothes and papers; empty bags of snacks and empty cans of soda and beer.
Just when he thinks that the bastard might have told the truth and there really are no valuables on board, he catches sight of a thin line in the rug just next to the unmade bed. Kneeling down, he tries to fit his fingers into the crack, wondering how the asshole with his fat fingers gets it open. The panel pulls out comparatively easy, though, showing off a tiny secret compartment, barely big enough to hold two items: a picture and something that reminds Hanzo of the old Sheriff stars cowboys wore in the wild west… though he is not sure if that actually happened or was just a thing in the odd Western movie he had watched with his brother when they were children.
He grabs the picture first and, after another hectic glance to see whether the bastard is coming back, he holds it into the light as to see better.
On it he can see two people standing in what looks like an office. There is a rather handsome black man who has taken off his cap and put it against his chest as he solemnly peered into the camera. His arm is curled around the shoulders of an equally tall young man in much the same uniform as him.
He’s much more fit and put together with his beard nowhere near as bad as it is now, but it occurs to Hanzo after a moment of staring, that he is looking at a younger version of his current ticket to Vegas.

Older Johnny Lawrence X Reader *SMUT*
Warnings? SMUT! SMUT! Language! And praising!
Praise Me
Tumblr media
Walking along the side walk you smile to yourself as Cobra Kai comes into view, one of your good friends Johnny Lawrence had opened up his very own dojo. You knew his past with his sensei Krease, Johnny after much trusting had told you everything that Krease had put in his head and done to him.
Johnny explained that he was not going to put the kids in that situation Krease had done to him and his friends. Pushing open the door the famous bell chimes as you walk in, the door closing behind you.
Johnny comes out of the back drying his hands with a towel, he smiles once he sees that it’s you. "Y/n hey" he greets pulling you into a hug.
You inhale his scent which consisted of fresh green mint, causing you to swoon as you hugged back. "Hey Johnny" you giggle.
Oh how much he loved that pretty giggle of yours, it was music to his ears. "Where’s Miguel" You ask curiously as you both pulled away from the hug.
"His mom called him, she said she needed to speak to him about something" Johnny shrugs throwing the towel on the beating mannequin as you like to call.
"How about we talk in my office" He says smugly, now that he had a office causing you to giggle.
"I’d like that Sensei Lawrence" You play along as he takes your hand and leads you into his office.
He goes to his fridge and pulls out one of his Coors Banquets Beers "want one?" He questions looking at you.
You debate for a moment before shaking your head "sure, why not" you start "-I gotta see what the hype is about these, they must be good if the Johnny Lawrence loves them" You tease as he takes the two beers and places them on his desk.
He sits in his office chair while you sit in the comfortable chair on in front of him "well then-" he stops for a moment to do his famous 'beer opening trick' "-here you go" he says handing it over to you before doing the same with his.
He holds his beer up in the air "to...." he hums as he thinks of nothing to celebrate to causing you to laugh.
"To Johnny Lawrence doing something he loves" You say rising your beer up hitting it with his gently.
Johnny smirks shaking his head before taking a sip, you do the same "Hmm, pretty good Lawrence" you chuckle as you hold the bottle in your hand resting it on your thigh.
"Speaking of love.... have you been seeing anybody?" Johnny asks taking a bigger gulp of his beer this time.
You chuckle "nope, I swear I grew up in the wrong time" You joke.
Johnny raises his brows "why do you say that?" He asks curiously.
You sigh "it’s just the men, well I can’t even say men. Boys, are so not gentlemen like at all" You say shaking your head.
"Why what are they like now?" He asks genuine.
"They are definitely not romantic-" you scoff "-they don’t open doors for me, or the don’t do any romantic gestures" you sigh "-there just not educated" you giggle at the last part causing Johnny to smile.
"Oh and the sex!" You groan throwing your head back "-the sex is just horrible" You finally let loose.
You notice Johnny’s hands grip his beer firmer as his hand starts to turn white before he calms down "seems like you get the young and dumb batch" he chuckles gulping down some more beer.
"Ugh, remember my last relationship?" You question.
"Oh that guy was a dick, I can’t believe he did that to you" Johnny says gritting his teeth.
"Me either" you say remembering the time your ex treated you so badly you ran to Johnny’s at three am at night, but he held you that whole night not complaining once.
"But you were there for me" You hum as a small smile forms onto your lips.
Johnny smiles "always" he says as your eyes connect, his beautiful icy clue ones piercing through yours as if he was reading everything about you in that moment.
"Johnny I need to tell you something" You say breaking the already sexual tension.
He clears his throat "yes?" He asks taking another sip of beer.
'I'm into you' You think "I'm into older men" But you actually say.
Johnny's eye widen, until slowly a small smile appears on his face now feeling confident that he could have a chance with you.
"Let me prove to you that all men aren't like that" He stops for a moment "-let me take you out on a date" he finishes as he slides the unfinished beer in the trash beside him.
You're taken aback but also excited seeing as you have kinda caught feelings for him "alright deal" you smile.
Johnny smiles widely in return "great I'll pick you up at 7" he says with a small smirk.
  "In the firebird?" You smirk.
"You know it baby" Johnny winks as you get up, getting ready to leave.
He stands up "give me that, I don't need my gir-" he stops before shaking his head "-I don't need you drinking and driving" he says taking the beer from you and placing it in the trash.
You chuckle at his antics "I wasn’t even going to carry it" you say sticking out your tongue at him playfully.
"Hey. That’s offensive" He says 'seriously' as he leans on the wall.
"Oh I bet Sensei" You joke as you start walking out of the office.
"I’ll see you at seven!" You hear Johnny yell as he runs out of the office.
You turn around "I’ll see you at seven" you repeat as a blush forms over your cheeks.
Johnny rushes over to the door and opens it for you letting you walk out, as he does he kisses your cheek. As you walk out of the building and into your car, your heart races as you could not believe that just happened.
On the way home all you could do was smile, excited for your date with Johnny. Someone who you caught feeling for on the first day of meeting but didn’t know.
You make it home and start rummaging through your dresses trying to pick out something not to like 'desperate' as they call or something to revealing.
You finally just decide on a white well fit thigh high dress and some black heels. You weren’t insecure about your body, but sometimes you would get self cautious.
Deciding to go all out tonight you apply the littlest amount of make up and curl your hair.
Meanwhile, Johnny was throwing almost every piece of clothing he owned around his room, panicking as he couldn’t find anything to wear. With a frustrated sigh he throws all his clothes back in his closet before seeing a white suit catch his eye.
'That’s the one' he thought as he picked it up and slid it on. By the time you both were done it was around 6:50. Johnny was thankful that you only lived five minutes away from him.
He quickly got in his fire bird and made his way to you. You were more excited than anything. I mean how often is it that a guy you like asks you out on a date, and especially a decent guy.
Johnny arrived at your door at exactly 7 o'clock on the dot. Hearing a knock on your front door you walk as fast as you can to the door in heels, letting out a breath of nervousness as you open the door.
Johnny looks up, his mouth gape open as he looks at your beauty "I- wow were matching" you say noticing Johnny's white suit that he looked mighty fine in.
"-wow you look beautiful" Johnny says mind blown, I mean he always admired you and thought you were the most gorgeous girl but now you just looked breath taking.
"Thank you Johnny, you look handsome... as always" you compliment with a sweet smile.
The smallest blush falls onto his face, so faint you almost missed it. Johnny holds out his hand gesturing for you to take it "shall we go?" He asks as you take his hand.
"We shall" You comment with a side smile.
He leads you to his well cleaned up fire bird, rushing to your side to open the door for you "my lady" he jokes, you giggle as you slide into the passengers seat.
"Thank you may gentlemen" You blush, as Johnny runs over to his side entering the car and cranking it up.
The drive was silent, comfortable silence of course. You both were just simply enjoying each other's company as you finally made it to your destination.
A small fancy Italian restaurant, Johnny gets out of his side and rushes to your side opening the door before you could even put your hand on the handle to get out.
You smile as your heart swells with joy and love, "thank you" you comment politely as you get out of the car.
Johnny closes the door and takes your hand "my pleasure love" He says grabbing your hand and walking you up to the door once again opening the door for you leading you in.
A waitress leads you to your guys table handing you your menus and asks for your drink preference. Soon she leaves giving you some time to pick out your orders before bringing your favorite drink back and Johnny's coke.
You both order your meals after she returns, before going back and putting your orders in. You rest your chin on your hand as you gaze up at Johnny.
Johnny freezes "what? Is there something on my face?" He asks wiping his clean face.
You chuckle "no of course not you’re just a pretty sight" you reply giddily.
He smirks "is that all you see me as?" He questions playfully.
"No I see you as much more" you wink as the waiter brings your food before Johnny could reply back.
She places the food on the table before quickly rushing off, noticing the long awaited sexual tension.
You clear your throat "so, how does it feel to be back into karate sensei?" You spark up, interested as you both dig into your meals.
"It feels great to be back, granted Miguel is my only student but he’s a good kid" He compliments with a small smile.
"Yeah, I’ve seen you guys practice he’s getting better" You say impressed.
"I know, he deserves so much more than I can give him" Johnny says looking down.
"Hey don’t say that, you’re doing amazing and I’m so proud of you. He couldn’t learn from anyone better" you say, completely dissing his thought.
Johnny looks up, both of your eyes connect. The tension was so thick you could cut it with a knife "you wanna get out of here?" He asks before putting his fork down.
"Yes" you answer quickly already getting excited for what’s to come.
The waitress comes over "we’ll take the check please" Johnny says with a smile that reads 'were in a hurry here' to which the waitress quickly nods becoming awkward.
Though she doesn’t move "uh- you guys didn’t finish so there for it’s on the house and you get to keep your meals" she explains grabbing two container boxes and handing them to you.
"Thank you" you say politely as you hand one to Johnny and the waitress quickly runs away.
"That was weird I’ve never heard of that before" you say as you put your food in the box, Johnny doing the same knowing you’ll both get hungry eventually.
"I know" He comments as he grabs your hand and quickly rushes you guys outside.
He places the boxes on the hood of his car before gently pushing you up against the passenger door and connecting his lips to yours in a passionate kiss.
You reply by pushing your lips against his firmer, before things could escalate to quickly and you’d give the whole restaurant a show Johnny quickly pulls away opening the door for you letting you sit, and getting into his side.
Nothing was said while driving, just heavy breathing as you both were excited for what was to come once Johnny made it to his apartment.
Soon you guys parked and Johnny quickly rushed over to your side of the door and helped you out. Before you could make it to Johnny’s door he placed his lips on yours. Your back hitting the door, he quickly pulls out his keys and opens the door letting you both in and closing it with his foot.
Johnny carries you over to the wall and pushes you up against it, not to hard but enough to make you weak. He reconnects your lips back together once again in a rougher kiss, still gentle.
He pulls away to trail slow and sweet kisses to your neck to which he immediately finds your sweet spot as you let him know by moaning.
He continues to abuse that spot as you start to speak up "Johnny.... more" you practically beg.
He caved in and taps your leg signaling for you to jump to which you do. The ends of your dress ripping immediately, causing you to gasp and Johnny to laugh.
"It’s fine I didn’t like it anyways" you say breathlessly as being turned on took you out of your thinking process.
You roughly place your lips back onto his as he carries you over to the kitchen counter roughly swapping everything away with his free arm before sitting you on it.
"Then you won’t mind if I take it off?" He asks for consent, shyly because he didn’t want to mess this up.
"Yes please" You say giving him permission.
As a gentleman he doesn’t finish ripping the dress but he pulls the zipper down slipping it halfway off til it wrapped around your waist.
Your strapless white bra being exposed to which Johnny admires as he places more kisses over your neck and the top of your boobs.
Johnny picks you back up before this time carrying you in his room placing you gently on his bed. "God your so beautiful" He compliments as he kisses up your chest, going down to your stomach.
He pulls the rest of the dress down, discarding it somewhere in the room. He runs his hand gently around your thighs and stomach.
You whine in pleasure he comes back up and places his fingers over the button on the front of your bra "can I?" He asks watching your eyes for any sign of discomfort to find none.
You simply nod giving your consent as he unbuttons the bra slowly dragging it down your body before discarding of it. Your breasts now bare to him to which you look away shyly as your hands start to cover yourself up.
"Don’t my love, you look like a goddess" he starts before placing kisses all over your chest "-you’re so perfect" Johnny finishes, love dripping with every word.
He swirls his tongue around your harden nipple causing your back to arch as a moan falls out.
He places kisses everywhere down your stomach until he gets to your soaking core. He tugs at the side of your underwear asking to pull it off to which you nod letting him do so.
Your bottom half now completely bare to him, he spreads open your legs resting his hands on your thighs. He kisses just above your core, slowly he trails more kisses until he finally connects his lips with your clit, sucking harshly but lovingly.
"You’re so beautiful" He praises once more as continues his assault on your clit, now slipping two fingers into your dripping core.
Wanting you to cum around his cock, he takes his fingers out before sucking them dry and licking his lips causing more moans to fly out your mouth
"You taste wonderful" he says as lust fills his bow darkened blue eyes.
He pulls his shirt off revealing his toned shaped body before discarding of his pants leaving himself only in his boxers.
"Are you sure you want to do this Y/n" Johnny asks sincerely.
"Of course I want to do this with you Johnny" You comply.
Nodding he removes his boxers letting his hard on slap against your core, both letting out a groan at contact.
Lining his cock up at your entrance he looks up at you once more only for you to nod your head yes.
He slowly slides his cock inside your core, feeling you clench around his cock causing him to moan you following behind feeling him stretch you out.
"I’m going to treat you so well" He says whilst rubbing your thighs slowly thrusting his hips against yours.
You moan "Johnny-" you whimper as he speeds up his pace more.
His cock hitting all the right places and more, thrusting at a firmer pace he grips your hips so he could go faster. Hitting your G- spot dead on causing your back to arch and a moan to escape your plump lips.
"You’re doing so good for me, taking me so well" he compliments as he try’s to contain his breathing and moans.
"Princess, you’re taking my cock in like a good girl" He praises as he slams his hips against yours finding a faster rhythm.
You whimper "so g-good" you stutter as Johnny leans down, readjusting his posture to kiss you.
You run your hands through his hair as you feel your climax reaching. "I’m close Johnny-" you moan aloud as you chase that burning sensation.
"Yeah? You’re going to cum for me beautiful" he continues to praise as he drops a hand down to your core and rubs your clit in figure eights causing you to arch your chest into his and cum around his cock, feeling him twitch as you do so.
Johnny follows behind as he cums inside you, filling you up as he continues to ride out both of your orgasms.
Gently pulling out his cock he turns over to his back and pulls you to lean into his chest. "Words cannot describe how amazing that was Y/n" he says feeling as though he was on top of the world.
You nod agreeing along "it was amazing Johnny" you compliment.
"Y/n.... I love you" Johnny says waiting patiently for your response.
You nuzzle your neck into his; lovingly "I love you Johnny Lawrence"

Seasons of Med: Season 5 & Seasons of PD: Season 7: Necrotizing Fasciitis Scare (A Halstead Brothers + Halstead Sister! Imagine)
Your age: 18
Jay's age: 32
Will's age: 34
"I am going to get you to understand football at this game come hell or high water," Jay told you as you said that you really didn't understand anything about football while Kevin tried to hook up the tv. Kelly threw Jay the football and Jay caught it.
"Hell or high water, huh?" you asked. "Did you just turn southern? Isn't that a southern phrase?"
"I can say whatever I want, thank you were much. Now catch." He threw you the football and you caught it easily.
"Kelly, I can't promise this is gonna be a good throw, so be ready to move," you told him as you threw the football to him. He had to jump to the left and jump high to catch it.
"Y/N, you suck at this," he laughed.
"I know."
"Jay, teach your sister how to throw a football, will you?"
He threw the ball back to Jay.
All of you were currently at Soldier Field to watch the Bears' game on a Friday afternoon. Will was originally going to go with Jay and you were going to study for your biology class, even though it was summer. You had decided to take a summer biology class so then you wouldn't have to deal with it during the fall and winter semesters when you'd be drowning in homework with other classes...and you figured you could do this one in the summer because you had heard horror stories of how hard this specific professor at CCU was. Luckily for you, Will was a doctor and could help you understand those damn diagrams that always gave you trouble.
Anyway, Will was going to come, but he got put on the schedule last minute, so Jay dragged you here even though you didn't know the slightest bit about football. Hell, you didn't even have any Bears gear to wear! Jay had given you one of his hats to wear with the promise that he'd get it back.
"Y/N!" Hailey yelled to you. "Wanna run to Mama Garcia's food truck with me?"
"Yes!" you exclaimed.
"Hailey," Jay whined. "I was just about to teach her how to throw a football."
"Halstead, if she doesn't know yet, I'm sure you can wait a few minutes. Now, I need my Spanish-speaking Halstead to come with me."
You had taken AP Spanish last year and had gotten a good enough grade on the AP exam to give you twelve college credits. This was partly thanks to Mama Garcia. You had been studying in her restaurant one night when you asked her a question about a tense. She explained it and then said that if you ever wanted to practice speaking Spanish and make some money at the same time, that you could work or her under the table. You took her up on that offer and your Spanish improved immensely.
Once you got up to the window of the food truck, you ordered a big batch of tamales in Spanish and then translated how much it was to Hailey. Then, you and Hailey went back to Jay and the rest of all your brother's first responder friends.
Kelly was yelling at Stella, Hailey, and you not to break into the tamales before the burgers were done, but you all didn't listen and each grabbed one out of the box.
You were in the middle of eating yours when you heard a scream.
You went towards the scream along with Jay, Natalie, and Kelly, but Jay made sure you stayed behind him. But, this didn't block your entire view, though.
You looked down at this man's leg. It was red and it looked like there was a giant gash on his shin with puss, blood, and flesh coming out. Things were moving underneath the skin. He was seizing and he kept saying BRT.
It was all too much. You took the Bears hat off.
"Y/N, I need you to get away from this. Whatever this guy has, I don't want you to--"
Jay didn't even finish his sentence before you vomited into that he had let you use, using it as a makeshift bowl for your puke.
He gently grabbed your arm and pulled you to the side after you finished emptying that tamale you had started eating into his hat.
"You done? You good?" Jay asked.
You coughed and then wiped your mouth. "Yeah, yeah. Sorry about your hat. I just- I don't like blood and that was nasty."
"I know. I think everyone's going to Med, so we'll run to the bathroom so we can throw away my hat now and you can rinse out your mouth. I think I have gum in my truck."
"Okay. Be glad I had the smart idea to puke into that hat, though. Or else it probably would've gone on you."
"Yeah, but I lost a nice hat in the process," Jay said as he rolled his eyes and you two made your way towards the bathrooms.
***
"It's necrotizing fasciitis," Will said. Everyone looked at him with a blank expression.
"Flesh-eating bacteria," you supplied.
"Wow, where'd you learn that, Short Stack?" Will asked.
"Can you not call me that? I'm eighteen! And, I learned it by watching Untold Stories of the ER."
"Junior doctor on our hands I think, Jay. And, you're still shorter than me and Jay so I can call you that, thank you very much."
"After her puking just at the sight of that, yeah, no way she's becoming a doctor," Jay said. "Anyway, the victim?"
"Right, sorry. Your victim had necrotizing fasciitis, more commonly known as, as Y/N said, flesh-eating bacteria. And, don't worry, it's not contagious. Only about four in a million people get it each year," Will explained.
"So, how do you get nec..." Kelly trailed off, not knowing the correct pronunciation.
"Necrotizing fasciitis. It enters through a break in the skin and just destroys the tissue under the epidermis. It--"
"The epidermis is the first layer of the skin," you said, reciting something you had learned in your biology class.
"Yes, it's the first layer of skin. But, as I was saying, it would really help us treat this guy if we knew who he was," Will finished after your interruption.
"I can't open a case file without a crime," Jay started, "but I'll see if I can run prints and check traffic cam footage. Maybe make out some sort of ID."
After a few minutes, everyone's panic had died down and you and Kelly were sitting down next to each other. He was trying to explain football to you even though you really couldn't care less. Meanwhile, Jay was about to make a phone call when Will motioned him over.
"Yeah?" Jay asked.
"You or Y/N have any contact with the victim? And, if you did, do you or her have any breaks in the skin?" Will asked, clearly worried about his younger siblings.
"No, we didn't have any contact. Just had Y/N puke in my hat I let her borrow," Jay answered.
"Okay, good. But, as I said, necrotizing fasciitis is rare, so you two should be fine. I gotta get back, but call if you find out anything on the victim."
"Will do. Remember to wear your gloves." Will rolled his eyes. "What? You just said it enters through breaks in the skin."
"You're a real pain in the ass, you know that?"
"One of my many talents."
***
"Hey, I'm leaving," Jay told you around noon the next day, poking his head into your bedroom while you stared at your lab lectures, trying to remember all the diagrams and pictures you'd need to help you identify body parts on your next lab practical.
"Okay, I'm going to the lab around 2:00 to study. That way I can actually see that stuff as I'll see it on the lab practical," you told him, not even looking up from your notes.
"Okay, be safe." He picked up Beary, who was leaning up against a pillow next to you, in a graduation gown and cap outfit. "Beary, can you make sure she takes breaks?" Then, his voice changed into his baby voice, what he always pretended was Beary's voice. "Oh, yes, Jay. I'll make sure she takes breaks while you're gone."
You laughed and reached out and took Beary from him. "Get outta here, you goon."
"Love you, too!" Jay called as he left your room.
You fixed Beary's cap and set him down, remembering when you got the outfit for him as you stared at diagrams.
"You ready, graduate?" Jay asked as he knocked on your door.
"Jay, I swear to God if you call me graduate one more time..." you said as you opened the door.
"You'll what?" he taunted.
"You know what, I don't know, but you won't like it. Are my bobbi pins noticeable?" you asked, referring to the bobbi pins you had pinned down to keep your blue graduation cap in place.
"Nope. You're good. Ready?"
"Ready."
You walked into the kitchen, to be met with Will. And behind him on the kitchen table was a vase of blue and white flowers, which were your school colors, and Beary leaning up against said flowers, wearing a blue graduation cap and gown. Just like you.
You laughed. "I cannot believe you guys."
"Hey," Will started, "Beary got a little backpack on your first day of kindergarten. Only fair that he gets a cap and gown on your graduation."
"Did you use the gift card from Mom?" you asked, referring to the one you had found in the letters to each of you that Will had found when you were cleaning out your dad's house after he died.
"We did," Jay confirmed. "Now, I need you to hold Beary in one hand and hold this picture." He handed you a photo of you with your little backpack on and Beary with his that your mom had taken of you on the front porch on your first day of kindergarten, right before Jay had surprised you by coming home from deployment early.
"Why do I need both?" you asked curiously.
"I saw this thing on Pinterest--"
"Wait!" Will exclaimed. "You have a Pinterest?"
"No," Jay scoffed. "But Hailey does. And she sent me a picture of something she thought you should do for your graduation pictures. You hold up a picture of you on your first day of school when you were little while you're wearing your cap and gown and then I take a picture of you. Since Beary was in that picture, I thought he could be in this one, too."
You grabbed Beary and allowed him to take the pictures. Now it was time to tell the news to your mom and dad.
***
"You won't believe what Will and Jay decided they just needed to get me," you said as you stood in front of your parents' headstone with Beary hidden behind your back. Will and Jay were over by a big tree talking amongst themselves so you could have some privacy. You pulled Beary from behind your back. "They got me a cap and gown for him because they said it was only fair because Beary got a backpack on my first day of school. And, since it's my last day of school, he should get a cap and gown, too.
"Also, which one of you called Will and Jay graduate all day on the day of their graduation? Because Jay won't stop calling me that and it's kinda getting on my nerves. Pretty sure it was you, Mom."
You sighed. "I wish you guys were here. Jay told me all about how you made him a special breakfast when he graduated and then went out for lunch before the actual graduation because the senior all-nighter was after. I don't know where we're going for our senior all-nighter, but I hope it's not boring. I've heard that a few years ago, some kids said theirs was super boring. I really don't want that. But, I'm glad that I could convince Will and Jay not to be chaperones for whatever my senior all-nighter is. I love them and all, but they can be a bit too overprotective at times.
"God, you guys should be here. Dad, I know you weren't the best, but you were trying. And, I'm sure if Mom was here, she'd make sure you behaved, because Mom would say it was a big day and that you couldn't be arguing with Jay." You laughed. "I can only imagine what it would look like with Jay on one side of you, Mom, and Dad on the other and you scolding both of them for fighting. Then, they'd both probably sit back and cross their arms. And, because of this, you'd probably say that I'm your favorite child."
"Alright," Jay laughed as he and Will made their way back to you. "I think it's time to go. We don't want to miss your graduation."
"You know none of us really care about the ceremony, right?" you asked, blinking back tears so that you wouldn't mess up your makeup.
"We know. It's mostly for the parents...or in your case, brothers," Will said.
You pulled out four flowers, two blue and two white, which you had taken from the bouquet that Will had placed on the kitchen table back at home, from the pockets in your dress underneath your graduation gown. "Give me one more minute."
You placed two flowers, one of each color, on top of your Mom's name and your Dad's name on the headstone. "I thought you two should have some, too. They're my school colors." You wiped your eyes as you felt a few tears prick them. "Remember to clap for me from heaven when I walk across that stage, okay?"
You took a deep shaky breath and turned back around. Will wrapped an arm around you as the three of you walked back to Jay's truck. Beary hung from your hand. In three hours, you'll have graduated high school.
You were taken out of your thoughts by your phone ringing. It was the coffee shop you worked at. And, no, it was not the one in your apartment building. But, Jay and other members of Intelligence did sometimes come in there to pick up coffee for them and the rest of the unit. This was only because they knew they'd get the friends and family discount since you worked there. But, they usually tipped you well, so you didn't mind.
Your manager asked you to come into work because someone couldn't come in. As much as you needed to study for your biology lab practical, you needed money for college more. And, you could always go to the lab tomorrow to practice for your lab practical. You also had Will. What good was having a doctor in the family if not to help you with your science homework? So, you decided to pick up the extra shift making coffee.

"Voight," Hank Voight said as he answered his phone.
"Hank, it's Wallace Boden. I need you to come down to the CCU science lab right now."
"Why?"
"Because Severide just told me that the victim at Soldier Field yesterday kept chanting BRT. This place is owned by BRT Labs. And, there was a fire set."
"You're thinking arson? You know we don't investigate that, Wallace."
"I know. Office of Fire Investigation is already on it."
"But, you think that the victim yesterday and the fire today could be connected?" Voight asked.
"I think it's highly possible. All I ask is that you come down here, maybe take a look inside, do some interviews, stuff you normally would do."
"Alright. I'll grab Halstead and Upton and we'll head down there."
"Thank you."
Voight hung up his phone and turned to his team, all of whom were knee-deep in paperwork after taking off yesterday to see the Bears game...which they didn't even get to see in the end. "Chief Boden needs some of us down at the CCU lab. There could be a connection--"
"Did you say the CCU lab?" Jay asked, standing up from his chair.
"Yes, Halstead, Upton, you're with me. The rest of you, stay here. We'll let you know if we need you or you need to look up information here." Voight looked to Jay who looked like he'd seen a ghost. "Halstead, we're going."
"Y/N's at the lab."
"It's Saturday," Hailey pointed out. "There's no classes on Saturdays."
"She said she was going there to study for a test. Oh, God. What if--"
"Jay," Hailey said as she walked over and put a hand on his shoulder. "You just need to call or text her on the way there. She'll be okay. C'mon, let's go."
"Atwater, come with me," Voight said. "Just in case Jay's gotta go."
***
You finally took your fifteen-minute break after being swamped for a good half hour straight. Who knew so many people wanted coffee at four in the afternoon? The first thing you saw were seven missed calls and texts in all caps. They were all from Jay.
"What the hell?" you muttered as you pressed Jay's contact and brought your phone to your ear. He picked up on the first ring. "Why are you--"
"Where are you? The firefighters said they haven't seen you come out yet," he rushed out.
"I'm at work. What firefighters? What are you talking about, Jay?" you asked, furrowing your eyebrows together.
"You're at work?" Jay asked. "I thought you were going to school to study?"
"I was. But, then my manager called me in. Why? What happened?"
Jay felt so much relief wash over him that he almost fell over in the grass on the CCU campus. "There was a fire in the lab."
"What? Are my friends okay? Did anyone die?" you rushed out. They weren't totally your friends, more your classmates, but you figured that was the easiest thing to call them.
"As far as I know, there weren't any fatalities."
You breathed a sigh of relief. "Okay, okay, good."
"Just do me a favor: next time your plans change, text me."
"I can't promise I can remember that."
"Figures. But, I gotta go. Stay safe."
***
"Son of a bitch!" Jay yelled and threw his phone on the couch just as you entered your apartment after finishing your closing shift at the coffee shop.
"What?" you asked as you shut the door and then set your keys down and took off your hat.
"Hailey's in quarantine," he told you. "And it's all my fault."
"What? It's your fault? How'd it even happen? Why are people being quarantined?"
"Turns out that necro thing isn't as rare as Will told us."
"Jay, what the hell are you talking about?"
"Uh, there were a bunch of people at an apartment building who got the disease, so Will and others are there looking for a thing that somebody says they saw spraying the building. Could've been this exterminator person was trying to poison people in the building," Jay told you. "And now everyone in the building is quarantined at Med."
"And Hailey was in the apartment building...?" you asked, not knowing what this had to do with Hailey.
"I had her go to a house to talk to someone who was in the lab the same time as the victim. She, uh, the girl Hailey was talking to, fell over and she had the infection and Hailey touched her.
"Hailey had a hangnail or something—at least, that's the info that Will got from Natalie, and Will passed it on to me—so now she's in quarantine at Med. If I wouldn't have told her to go check out the lead, then maybe she wouldn't be in quarantine right now."
"Jay," you started, "you can't blame yourself. If it wasn't Hailey, it would've been you. Then you'd be quarantining at Med right now. And if it wasn't you or Hailey, it would've been someone else from Intelligence and then they'd be in quarantine right now."
"How did you get so mature?"
"Trauma."
Jay's expression immediately changed. "What? Y/N, if you need someone to talk to, I can get you that."
You laughed. "Jay, chill. It's a psych major joke...even though I know I really shouldn't be joking about trauma no matter what."
"Okay, good. Do you want to watch a movie?"
"I mean, I guess. What are we watching? And, I'm gonna make popcorn, too."
"Okay. We can watch anything but Contagion," Jay told you.
"What's Contagion?"
"It's about this virus that breaks out all over a city...much like what's happening now."
"Oooh, now I want to watch it."
"I knew I shouldn't have said anything."
***
"Hello?" you said into the phone the next afternoon when Mama Garcia called you. Jay was out working the case, Will was trying to find a cure for this bacterial strain, and Hailey was out of quarantine because she was cleared by Natalie. So, Jay wasn't blaming himself anymore.
You quickly spoke Spanish with Mama Garcia and she asked if you could come in because they got a huge catering order last minute and she needed someone to man the cash register while she helped in the back making the order. You agreed and made your way to Mama Garcia's.
***
You were busy working the cash register and speaking Spanish with the friendly customers when you started hearing yelling outside, something about MS-13. You excused yourself and made your way to the back where Mama Garcia was working on tamales.
"They're saying something about MS-13 out there," you told her in Spanish.
"I'm going to need you to say that in English, chica," she told you. "I think you said it wrong because you just mentioned MS-13," she said as she wiped her hands on her apron.
"No, they're saying crazy stuff," you began. "They're chanting that you're part of MS-13. You can't hear it?"
"It's loud back here. Maybe I'll hear it if I go to the front."
She came to the front with you where some customers were leaving the building through the side entrance to get away from the mob. There weren't any customers left in the little restaurant anymore.
"Dios mio," she whispered.
There had to have been at least two dozen or more people outside all yelling and saying that she was to blame for the bacteria. Some even held signs. Some had guns or sharp objects.
You pulled out your phone. "I'm calling--"
You stopped when you heard a crash. You barely had time to register what was happening as the Molotov cocktail flew through the window and shattered everywhere, lighting the place on fire and sending shards of glass everywhere, some ending up lodged in your leg as you screamed in fear and pain.
***
The men and women of Firehouse 51 got a call of a public disturbance at Mama Garcia's. As they pulled up, they saw the Molotov cocktail fly right through the front window towards you and Mama Garcia. Casey started barking out orders and everyone sprang into action.
You were inside and the smoke was getting thicker. Whatever they made this out of actually worked. You pulled your shirt up to your nose and mouth to try and stop inhaling it, but it didn't work very well.
You had been in front of Mama Garcia at the time it was thrown through the window, so you took most of the glass shards. This caused you so much pain that it was hard for you to move through the kitchen and to the door to get out.
"Fire department! Call out!" you heard Stella yell as you kept trying to walk toward the back door.
"Here!" you yelled.
"Fire department! Call out!"
"Back here! Help! Help!"
You heard heavy footsteps coming toward you and then you saw a firefighter and you felt a hand wrap around you.
"Hang on. You're gonna get out of here." Stella. "Casey," she said into her radio. "I need some help in here. Female victim, trouble walking, in the back in what looks like the kitchen."
"Copy. Coming in, Kidd."
About thirty seconds later you were picked up and told to close your eyes. You did, and it was only when you finally got outside, did Truck 81 realize who they had rescued.
***
Will was currently working in the lab trying to find an antidote to this terrible outbreak. But, something about Dr. Seldon was suspicious. He wasn't a detective like his younger brother,  but he still trusted his gut.
Dr. Seldon hadn't noticed that Will was still in the lab when he started pouring chemicals into the samples. Now Will knew something was most definitely wrong.
"What are you doing?" he asked loudly, startling Dr. Seldon.
"Oh, these are contaminated samples," he answered easily like he had rehearsed what he was going to say.
Will pointed directly at him. "No. You know what? You need to stay right here."
Then, Seldon threw a punch and Will caught it easily. But, then Seldon hit him again in the stomach. In the split second that Will was doubled over, Seldon picked up a microscope and cold-cocked Will right over the head, causing him to fall to the ground as everything went black and he clutched his bleeding head.
***
Hailey was now back in the bullpen after being quarantined because she got checked out and everything was fine. She had to tell Jay to stop apologizing and that it wasn't his fault he had gotten into that mess.
"That's a blue hat, right before 2:00," Ruzek said as he looked at the security footage.
"Wait, I know this guy," Jay started. "He works at the CCU lab." His eyes widened as he realized what was going on. "He's with Will. We gotta go now!"
As Jay was sprinting out of the bullpen, his phone started ringing.
"Man, your phone!" Adam yelled.
"Just let it go to voice-mail!" Jay yelled as he ran down the stairs, not knowing that it was Casey calling him to let him know that they had pulled you out of a fire and you were currently being treated at Med.
***
You rubbed your eyes as you woke up a few hours later. You didn't know if it was the meds the nurse gave you to knock you out so she could pull the shards of glass out of your body or if it was from a combination of smoke inhalation and tiredness. Whatever the reason, you were awake now.
You turned to see your brothers and were very confused to see that Will was holding an ice pack to his head and Jay looked like he had gotten new stitches in his forearm.
"The hell--" You roughly cleared your throat. "The hell happened to you two?"
"We found the guy," Jay told you. "But, not before he cold-cocked Will over the head with a microscope."
"Who was he?" you asked.
"A professor at CCU. Dr. Seldon."
"I've heard of him. I think he only teaches graduate classes though, so I'd never end up being in one of his classes anyway. I'm assuming he's not teaching anymore?"
"Not a chance in hell," Jay confirmed. "If he wants to teach, he can teach all the other prisoners at Stateville."
"What happened to your arm?"
"Oh, you know him," Will began. "He's always putting other people's safety in front of his own like the idiot he is." Jay thought about smacking his older brother upside the head but decided against it only because he had just been hit in the head. "He decided that he'd rather be infected with the bacteria instead of the people in a conference room where Seldon was. So, he cut himself."
"You what? Do you have the bacteria?" you asked as your eyes widened in fear.
"No, I don't. Hailey shot in there to distract him and then I disarmed him. Will came in with the antidote anyway, but luckily we didn't need to use it."
"If Hailey got paid overtime every time she saved your ass, she'd never have to work again."
"Tell me about it," Jay agreed.
"Now, what happened to you?" Will asked. "Casey told us you were at Mama Garcia's?"
"Yeah, she called and asked me to run the front since she needed to be in the back to help work on a catering order. I went in and an hour later, there were all these protesters outside calling her a member of MS-13 and saying she started the outbreak."
"How?" Jay wondered. "Mama Garcia's like the sweetest lady alive."
"I don't know. Because people online are crazy? And then someone threw a flaming bottle of something through the window."
"And that's how the glass got in your leg?" Will asked. You nodded. "Well, the good news is that Maggie told me the damage was artificial. The reason you passed out was because of smoke inhalation. They gave you some oxygen and you're good to go once you're ready."
"Then why don't I have one of those nose thingies in?" you asked.
"A nasal cannula?" Will chuckled. You nodded. "It's because you slept long enough with it on that your oxygen is back up. And, the paramedics gave you oxygen, too. That's why you don't need it. Your levels are back to normal."
"Oh. Okay."
"You want your discharge paperwork?" Will asked.
"Yeah, Jay's gotta fill it out."
"Nope. You are not a minor anymore. So, you get to fill out your own paperwork."
You groaned as he handed you the clipboard with the paperwork on it. Now you knew why both Jay and Will hated paperwork so much. There was so much even for one little thing!
"You know, I think since you've achieved frequent flyer status at Med," Will began, "that Beary needs a hospital gown, too."
"No! Don't you dare!"
"Just write it down and give it to her for Christmas," Jay joked. But honestly, when it came to that bear and presents, you never knew if either of them was joking or not.
Everything seemed back to normal at that moment: Jay and Will joking about your Build-A-Bear, you and Jay constantly being in the hospital for whatever reason and life. Life was back to normal after this crazy weekend that had everyone in Chicago on edge and you couldn't be happier.
A/N: Idk how I feel about this one. There was so much going on in that crossover, that it was hard for me to figure out what I wanted to focus on...so, it turned into a shorter imagine. Anyway, thank you guys so, so much for reading! I also start my new job tomorrow, so updates might be a little less frequent (one or two a week, depending on how long the imagines are and how much I have to work). Anyway, please like/reblog and comment and tell me what you think! As always, if you want to be added to my taglist, just tell me and I’ll add you!
