question: do ppl ACTUALLY say things they don’t mean when they’re angry? or is that just an excuse after letting something true slip? i wouldn’t ever say something i don’t mean in anger, so the concept confuses me.

but something was said to me that is bothering me, though apparently was said in an argument and wasn’t meant. but i don’t rlly believe it wasn’t like, deep down true thoughts/feelings??? anyone have any insight? anyone say things they don’t mean in anger?

I do not exaggerate when I say that EVERY SINGLE SWEDE knows about this Disney short.

It’s part of a Disney Christmas special called “From all of us to all of you”, which has been broadcasted in Sweden on Christmas Eve ever since 1960.

The 24th of December. 3 PM. Channel 1.

It’s the only time where eating by the TV while having guests is not only forgiven, but encouraged.

It’s aired by Sweden’s public service television broadcaster and the poor sods have tried to discontinue this Christmas tradition (it’s apparently very expensive to air cuz, y’know, Disney), but every time the plans have leaked, the tabloids and the people get their pitchforks and you know how much we love burning things. So they have kept it.

Last year, it was watched by 4.5 millions (the population of Sweden is 10 million). What can I say. People love their mooching chipmunks and dumb mutts.

I don’t have a point to make. I see a chance to share weird stuff about my homeland, I have to take it.

Homeless Care Package

Some things I'll be buying to make a care package for my local homeless person:

Socks, t- shirt, maybe underwear if it's not too weird, he probably needs it though

Dried foods; jerky, granola bars and dried fruit etc

Tasty sweet treat like a chocolate bar

Instant coffee

Thermos bottle

2 hot water bottles

Multivitamins

Bottled waters

Hand sanitiser and wet wipes

Bar of soap

Nail clipper

Small first aid kit

Gift card to a grocery store

Rain poncho

Sunscreen

Thermal blanket

Personal note letting him know that his situation is not his fault because the government and society is supposed to take care of people, but they don't because of greed and short sightedness

Feel free to take inspiration and make a care package for a homeless person in your city/town. You don't have to show your face, you can wear a face mask and sunglasses, and go with a friend if you're nervous.

It's a small gesture that can go a long way in giving a person hope. Even just cash or a grocery store gift card is a good thing to give. Life is unpredictable. It can take a turn for the worse and suddenly become very hard for anyone
