I’m tweaking out a little. I went with friends to see the Sonic 3 movie on release day. Was really good ofc. Went to see it a second time the other day with my best friend. Sorta fixating on movie Sonic content. Might even watch the Knuckles show (y’know despite the unnecessary amount of Wade I’ve been hearing about) because he’s my favorite version of Knuckles in the Sonic franchise.

- Both watch the same soap opera, La Ultima Passion I think it’s called (Knuckles is watching it in an episode of the Knuckles series I think and Shads is getting into it in the movie while hangin with Stone in the Crab). I could totally imagine them watching it together and arguing over the plot lines.

- Both ride motorcycles.

- You can’t tell me Knuckles ain’t the type to fall head over heels for someone who can EASILY kick his ass. “What a woman😳” type vibes but it’s after Shadow rocks his shit.

- IMAGINE Sonic and Tails. Cuz Knuckles is their big brother. Can y’all just imagine them lowkey bullying him? The whole immature nine miles? Making barfing noises if they catch Knuckles and Shadow flirting (in their own way), making very obnoxious kissing noises when Knuckles is gushing about how powerful and strong of a warrior Shadow is. THEY WOULD.

- Also Shadow, not being experienced with romance feelings or a crush, would have no IDEA what he’s feeling. I think his “OH” moment would be while watching other people interact. Be it in a movie/show, seeing Sonic and Amy interact, or Tom and Maddie. A whole “So this is love?” vibe.

- Someone theorized that in the hypothetical Knuckles & Shadow series that Keanu and Edris had talked about, they would be working together to locate all the Chaos Emeralds after they got lost at the end of the movie. CUE TWO SUPER POWERED ALIEN DUDES GOING ON A ROAD TRIP TOGETHER. And I think THAT is when they would become friends and start to form feelings for each other. Chat does this count as forced proximity?

- And we mustn’t forget Tom and Maddie. Tom doing the typical “I don’t want this dude dating my kid” routine (in his case tho it’s fair. Shadow did try to destroy earth and almost killed him) and Maddie would be supportive and I KNOW she would pull out the “leave the door open” line. Iykyk hehehehehe. They would both be really supportive of Knuckles having a crush and I feel like Shadow would try his best to be kind to them for Knuckles. He would be awkward.

- It’s also worth noting that if the whole Black Arms thing does happen in the cinematic universe and it ends like in the Shadow game with Shadow basically killing all of them, Knuckles and Shadow would BOTH be living the “I’m the last of my kind” lives. Not to mention both of their species have MESSY histories. Like we know the Echidnas were not perfect, otherwise they wouldn’t have been at war for so long. And we KNOW that the Dark Arms are all lunatics. Boyfriends can bond over their family drama.

MAG 163: In The Trenches

I wanna go back to the cabin.

I love TMA so much because of how the format switches up every season. Like season 1 was pretty simple enough with season 2 having Jon add in those supplementals and having a new setting (the tunnels). Season 3 cranks it up with having live statements from recurring characters, statements read by others, and dropping some lore. season 4, while similar to season 1 in terms of format, has Martin reading statements, more god damn lore and some new settings. And now season 5 has uh all this. It’s so amazing and I love it and I’m terrified.

Hearing Jon describe everything going on actuslly made me horrified. Like I got spooked out by the statements but this made me feel so much dread like I’m not even kidding. I also wanna know more about that weird ass doctor and the man with the red flower. Avatars of The Slaughter I presume.

Also that phone. ???? What???

MAG 164: The Sick Village

Gross. While the previous episode made me experience horror, this made me feel disgust. Disgust that just burrowed into my bones (get it. Cause..the episode-). I had such a deep instinct of repulsion. Like actually. I also read the triggers just cause you can never be too careful and I remember thinking, “how can xenophobia be involved with The Corruption?”…apparently xenophobia was very prevalent

Now I know where the whole “Martin’s middle name” thing comes from. I’m glad Basira is alive. And heart broken at the tragedy there is. She’s always chasing Daisy and Daisy is always chasing another thing SOMEBODY SEDATE ME

I like to think Bonnie often goes off on his guitar during live performances (leaning towards it sounding like heavy metal) n often forgets he's playing for children LMAO

He wants to go outside so bad...he often looks outside any windows and wishes he could just step outside for a bit...

This is also something I think the rest have in common.

They are happy working with the kids! They love their job! They would just like to feel the sun n quite literally touch grass...at least once!

Going back to Bonnie loving carrot cake he dose actually have a slight problem with it similar to chica...just don't leave your slice unattended with him, like a magic trick it'll disappear ✨

I like to think Bonnie originally didn't have eye liner but he saw one of the staff members have some on and he just told them "I want that! Can you put that on me?!" And ever since then it's been a part of his iconic look

Freddy laughs to hard at simple jokes like dad jokes kill him, which is why when he tells them sometimes he can't finish the joke 💀

His laugh is so cute n contagious 😭♥️

Everyone groans but they laugh at Freddy's reaction anyways

Bonnie's laugh is dorky, he snorts on occasion and the others call him out n he gets embarrassed

All in good fun of course!

If Bonnie were to blush I like to imagine that his whole face goes red like you can always tell when he's flustered hehe

Honestly I believe Freddy has that classy rizz, like he's such a gentleman, he'd court you properly is all I'm saying

!!!! ok first off i just wanna say u made my day with this ask im so excited that other people r excited abt this and want to hear my explosions (also i definitely want to make individual profile posts for each tribute so this will be. sparknotes of what i have thought up so far :D) Tango - i have tango in district 3, along with mumbo. district 3 is the technology district, and with mumbos redstone contraptions and tango's decked out programming, it felt very obvious placements to me :] i dont think they were very close at all before the games. not in a bad way, just they didn't cross eachothers paths all that much (subject to change but in life series canon theyre never on the same team iirc). theyre cordial in the proceedings before the games but dont train together or plan to team up. tango, skizz, and bigb eventually ally together during the training days before the games! (aka heart foundation) Jimmy - jimmy and scar are actually from the same district, district 11! 11 is the agriculture district, and to place jimmy in this district i pulled from his ranchers and empires sheriff vibes if that makes sense. i also just know that 11 is one of the poorest districts and doesn't usually do well in the games, and we all know jimmy in these games. (i considered jimmy in 12 bc of the canary thing, but skizz and impulse r from there and i figured putting him somewhere else is fun too!) scar - as said above, scar is from district 11! i don't think he is expected to do super well in the games from the reaping, but during interviews its clear that he has the charisma to get some sponsors. i honestly haven't thought up all that much for scar yet but dw i will (he literally wins. how could i ignore him) fun fact! scar and jimmy were going to kind of team together, but during the first day of training, scott (career tribute) makes some joke to gem about how they wouldnt stand a chance if they teamed together bc of their district. jimmy let this get in his head and decided to split from scar, causing both of them to be loners at the start of the games. jimmy eventually finds martyn during the games and they ally bc of reasons (that i can get into if we want to), but scar stays relatively alone honestly most of these tributes and their district placements are pretty set in my mind, except for martyn, cleo, and bigb, who i still can't figure out where to put (if anyone has suggestions pls send them lmao). ive got some bits and plot points from the series already worked out into a hunger games universe, but a lot of it i dont! if theres any specific part of the series anyone wants to ask about, please do!! i work best when someone tells me what to brainstorm on lmao. anyways lol hope yall r liking this! i dont have any clue if it will gain any traction, but i've been thinking abt this au so much since the finale and i wanted to try and share it and talk about it with people :D pls send comments or asks abt any of it if you want to !!!

Please don't apologize you're not bothering me, I want people to ask me stuff about Candies 'n Curses and talk with me about Candies 'n Curses and stuff I'm just usually used to doing it in DMs

I actually have... a lot of headcanons for Hector... Like I made up an entire life backstory but I don't think now is the time for that

Here's some rapid fire tiny ones:

He has an incredibly low alcohol tolerance (like... unnaturally low)

He's a heavy sleeper (Would definitely act like he's totally alert through the night and will protect everyone if anything happened but he would sleep through almost everything lmao)

He likes spicy food and has a high spice tolerance (idk just seems like the type of a guy)

Besides using his crossbow, he also knows how to use a regular bow, knows how to wield a bat as a weapon effectively and has a fair bit of hand to hand combat experience (unfortunately, one cannot punch the ghosts)

For some shorter but more meaningful ones:

It's canon that Hector's crossbow doesn't work on ghosts but I've personally altered that a little bit to it only working on the ghosts that are somewhat corporeal (so like... Slimes are made of gumdrops, Spiders Jawbreakers (well with the exception of the Spitter Spider) and Bones... well, Bones; Those 3 are all like physical objects so the crossbow will work with... varying degrees of success but for Wraiths, Phantoms, Spitters, Knights etc they're just like ghosts so the crossbow doesn't do anything at all)

He's EXTREMELY stubborn. That's implied in canon with him refusing to switch his weapon to one that works against ghosts but I see him as the guy who metaphorically bangs his head against the wall until the wall breaks or he passes out and will only consider begrudgingly asking for help if he truly feels he can't do it with how he is or if something is more time sensitive

Hector has some kind of beef with everyone in the mansion with the exception of Paige (that one's somewhat canon but in my HCs it's like very definite lol)

Hector is usually a little bit more relaxed and is only being this snippy and aggressive because being stuck in the mansion for so long (in my HC that's 6 months) has affected him mentally; Though that's not to say he'd be all nice outside of the mansion, not at all. When he's not under heavy stress he'd be more of a gruff, cold, politely distant individual to strangers, as opposed to actively being a jerk to people

He's jealous of Olly having figured out how to function in the mansion and like deal with it on a day to day basis and lashes out at him a fair bit as a result. Ironically because of the fact he's aware Olly's somewhat reliable and (begrudgingly, like i said earlier) ends up asking him for help a decent bit. Olly does help out because he's nice but he definitely feels unappreciated.

He does care about the other people trapped in the manor even if he doesn't act like it a lot of the time.

And to end on something wholesome:

So Hector canonically has a daughter and I've made her into an OC but without going in depth on her because this isn't the Hector's daughter headcanon ask, I do think Hector would be a good dad. I'm a sucker for the trope of gruff guy who has a soft spot for his kid so- He would give her a lot of and maybe spoil her a bit but he'd try to raise her properly with manners and a good work ethic and he'd probably teach her some fighting too; Just he'd definitely be the type of dad who'd think his precious perfect angel can do no wrong and would blame literally anyone else if anything ever happened while she was involved

I like to think I’m decently friendly, so I can talk about anything!It don’t even gotta be about a rarepair, if it’s Cookie run related, I will reply!

In case your wondering why I write so silly, it’s just a habit I’ve had since my early writing days. And I think it’s funny, sue me!

Here are some ~general~ rules for submissions and how they work.

Hello there, time for another. Today I written three chapters so this might tell me my ideas are coming back. So, I'm adding another chapter to this series. Ryunosuke Akutagawa, Gin Akutagawa, Jun'ichirō Tanizaki, and others is from the anime series BSD (Bakugo stray dogs) a canon muse that I rp as.

Somewhere in a hidden room or office, their was a meeting going on with some nervous members that was the higher ups of the known companies or main heads.

Each member was nervous seeing the same mysterious male looking out from his office window. Seeing the town of yokohoma. Seems many things were moving smoothly but he was told about much.

"So..." He blew out some smoke from his cigar but held it in between his fingers. "Your telling me what happened now? Some of your members were taken?"

"..Y..Yes sir. I know we told you about this but it's only due to this new mafia gang the Lovely horrors. We had no idea they were dangerous but they killed a few of them from what we know." the head of the Thunder Triad said seeing the others quiet.

"We are unsure of what they do but we also got word that some were or have gone missing too." the head of the Jaguar Cartel said as well with his hat off resting on his lap. He was nervous speaking to this man but tries to keep himself in line.

"......."

"It's the same for my company. I got word that even Port mafia is looking into the missing girls and clubs being taken down too." head of the Anansi Company states.

"And us too..." The Fiore family head said too. "We know you have everything under control but our clubs, companies, businesses and members are getting worried of what is happening. We just wanna confirm if we are going to be safe here."

The men said nothing looking at him only to see the man take another puff from his cigar and blows out the smoke. He looks at the window still before turning to the gentlemen in his office.

"Gentlemen, Gentlemen. I told you before their is nothing to worry about. I given word that everything is under control. Your business, work, products and other things are good. They are still going on as stated with nothing stopping them by order." he said.

"But you said that and yet some of our members were taken under our noses. We just found this out later on yesterday before we were told. We don't want to lose anymore members here." The head of the Fiore family said.

"Trust me, you won't. It's just a minor set back here." he said only to sit down again to hold his cigar. "Besides, I already got some plan to deal with it." he said.

"I still want to have my end of the deal though. I still am looking out for more cuties to join my company here. You guys said you had some of your people looking for me don't ya?" he asked as the men tense.

"W..we do sir. We are still looking for more to bring to you. Don't worry, we have not forgotten." The head of the Jaguar said seeing the male smile happy to hear that.

"Good good. I want the best babes you know? Cute pretty ones. I wanna have the cutest ones here under my order. You guys can do that for me can you?" he saw some slowly nod but remains quiet before he checks the time. Even one of his followers going over to whisper something in his ear. Hearing this, he looks before checking his watch.

"You guys can go. This meeting is done and again, don't worry so much. Everything is under control.." With a wave of his hand, the heads leave the room. When all of them were out and from ear shot he looks to the other to sigh.

"So how are we doing with organs and bodies?" he said.

"Everything is still good. We got more girls here but they didn't seem to your taste so they were taken care of right away. Though, their organs will be good to sell later tonight." he said seeing the man sigh.

"And the ones that tried to get out?"

"Taken care of sir."

"Good. I already have the assassin out and about and ready for tonight. Be sure you give him his new list of targets hmm?" he said seeing the male nod.

"Of course sir.."

~~~~~~~~~Meanwhile~~~~~~~~~

By order of Mori, it seems the ones working with some certain people in his mafia, they were to help them as much as needed. Even living with them was another choice if requested. He has this feeling their was more to this even with the leaders or main heads of the Thunder Triad, Jaguar Cartel, Anansi Company, and the Fiore Family would do now.

Thanks to some information, it seems they got some leads and clues regarding the mysterious male that wore a bowl hat, holding a cane with a trench coat. He was uptown so maybe of the higher top classes that was filthy rich.

So we shall go to the buildings seeing that it was true. Sid was not expecting Chuya to be at her door step but he was given a letter to give to her like the others who would help them out during this time.

The letter said the following:

Dear (Who they were teamed up with),

For the deal set working with the lovely horrors, (Person's name here) will live with you or near by to insure this mission goes smoothly. I Hope that we work together nicely during this time. They will be sure to help out however they can during this or to insure things run smoothly. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call Mori about this. Here's to a strong partnership.

Mori Ougai (Head leader/CEO and boss of the Port Mafia)

Sid looks to the letter reading it for a moment before looking up, seeing this. She even noticed the bag by his side while he was wearing his usual outfit but adjusting the hat.

"......I know this is unknown for you to see but it's not just me. Everyone that's partnered with you guys is going through this too. I understand if you don't wish for me to-"

"I never said that. Lucky for you I have a spare room for you to have...please come in." Sid moves to allow him inside her home but he saw it was pretty big and fancy like. Seems the Lovely horrors were well known in some way. He walks in but heard Sid close the door.

"Nice place.." he said seeing Sid walk by him but heads to the stairs.

"Thank you. Now please follow me, your room is up here." she said leading him. Though if what he said is true.....

~~~~~Jason's Den~~~~~~

"Wait, your living here with me?" Jason asked seeing Gin once more but she had a bag by her side while looking to him. She was relaxed even ignoring the growls from the 'pups' that Jason growls to make them behave.

"Yes. By Mori's orders. Don't worry, I won't get in the way of anything you do. I'll be sure to help you however I can." she said that Jason thinks a little after reading the letter he was given by her before looking to her. Seeing her dark eyes looking back at his own eyes makes him silent. With a sigh, he only chuckled to look at her.

"If you are that serious then why not? I'll try to be sure the pups here don't scare ya..." he said but Gin looks to him only to slowly stand up. "????" He sees her look at him only to bend over on his desk with one hand resting on it. She reaches to grab the tie he was wearing to pull him close startling the alpha.

"Trust me, pup..I can take care of myself so don't worry. I'll behave myself." she said softly only to let go but sits back down. However, Jason blinks not expecting that to clear his throat.

"Uh huh...ummm...come on, I'll show you to your guest room.." he grumbles standing while leading the way from his office. However, he hid his blush so she didn't see it.

~~~~~~~Charlie's chambers~~~~~~~

"So this is what Matt was talking about hmm? You are going to be living here till then?" Charlie was already showing her roommate guest to his room while seeing Tanizaki setting his bag down to look at her.

"Yeah, I guess he's told your other teammates about it as well. But don't worry, I'll not be in the way. I'm here to help you out as much as I can. You won't even know I was even here." he said even if Charlie crossed her arms over her chest looking at him.

"Right. Well, I'll take your word for it but I can tell you won't get in the way. But your help is appreciated.." she said turning to leave. "I'll let you get settled in." she said walking off as he sighed to look then looks away.

~~~~~At Cobin’s Lab/Residence~~~~~

"I was not expecting him to have you stay here with me. Is that really alright with you, Mr. Cobin?" He blinks hearing her being so formal but he adjusted his glasses to look at Ichiyo.

"Now now, you don't have to be so formal. Cobin is just fine." he said as she was shown her room while staying here with him. It was rare for her to be here but she didn't speak out of line even with being his bodyguard. Not that he minds it or anything. It would be nice to have another friendly face here. Besides his team of course.

"Right s..sorry." she said.

"Well, it's fine. Here, why don't you make yourself feel right at home. I know we will be working together to find what we know so here's to a good partnership." he said seeing her nod.

"R..right!"

~~~~~~~~Shrika's Residence~~~~~~~~

"You know I was not expecting this Willie, seeing some getting help with others. It's something to say the least." Shrika chuckled adjusting a glass of her favorite drink. However, Willie was standing by her while looking out from her own home.

"Well, given the situation Mistress it's something else." he said.

"True true. But so many new faces and new prey too. I am excited just to hunt down this other we are looking for. But I guess we'll have to wait till we get some update won't we?" she chuckled as Willie remains quiet to nod.

"Even so...I'm still excited and can't wait...what a fun hunt this will be."

~~~~~~~~Matt's Residence~~~~~~~~

Ryunosuke couldn't believe this! Why would Mori think of this being a good idea! He knew he was doing his best to work on this but now he had to live with him!? Though, he got word the others were living with someone too. Even Yumeno was staying with Pete or being watched over.

For now, Ryu was setting his bag down after Matt happily invites him inside his nice home. He was pretty rich just like the others said from the other horrors but he was unsure if he was strong enough to stay here without giving into the dangerous drug of Matt Knack.

'Geez, I don't know if I'll be able to do this but..it's a mission so I have to suck it up...I have to..' he thought to himself removing his coat jacket to hang in the closet but he was trying to get use to this. That's when a knock was heard.

"Come in."

The door opens showing the man himself, Matt Knack. He came to him with a smile on his face.

"Hey Ryu! I came wanted to come and check on you. Are you settling in alright?" he asked even if Ryu remains quiet and trying not to blush.

"Ahem, yes I'm alright. I already started putting my clothing away. But are you sure me staying here with you is alright? I don't want to be a bother.."

"Oh nonsense your fine! It's going to be fun having a buddy here besides my team. Though, I'm sure it's going to be fine. We can work together and get this done faster now. I can't wait!" he said smiling even if Ryu sweatdrops.

'Is he always this excited when it comes to things? Huh....that's something.' he thought to himself.

"Though, I'm sure we will work well together even so. So I hope we do well.." Ryu said this looking to the side holding a shirt in his arms. However, as he was putting it away he heard Matt walking closer to him.

"Also, I still wanted to thank you from before. Thanks to your extra information, I been thinking of more ways to thank you. So really, thanks Ryu." he smiled even if Ryu blinks.

"Really, it's nothing. I'm used to this sort of work like the others. You don't have to thank me for it." he said looking at him even if his eyes meets with Matt. His blood red eyes were shiny like rubies but he couldn't say that out loud.

"Oh but I want to. Think of it as us 'hanging out' like the few nights before. Though with you here, we can hang out a lot more than before. Both innocently.." that's when Ryu tenses feeling his hand touching his cheek. "And dirty wise."

"......I......."

"Oh right. I almost forgot. I still wanna thank you later tonight since we are still learning more about this info we got from you guys at the mafia. I hope you also don't mind. I was going to have something cooked for you later or take you out...." he said thinking about it.

"Ummm..I don't mind cooking for you too at times. I can cook something for us if you wish later tonight. Though, even so it still the same." he mutters.

"Oh? Well, either or is fine but I'm sure we will eat out before coming back. But again..that's good to know."

"Though, you make it sound l..like..." As Ryu speaks Matt was close to press him up against the wall but looks at him while he was blushing against.

"W...what?"

"You seriously are adorable like this." he smiled even if Ryunosuke looks to the side flushed pink again. Damn it not again. He even sees Matt hold his cheek to kiss it as Ryunosuke was flushed pink even worse now. His heart was starting to beat hard in his chest feeling Matt's warm lips touching him.

"I told you n..not t..to.."

"I know I know but it's true..but fine, I'll behave. If I can try. It's sorta hard not to when your are so cute and fun to play with." he teased even if Ryu said nothing. "However, I still going to give you something nice tonight as my thanks. I hope you like it." he said giving a kiss to his neck before backing off slowly to leave his room. Ryu said nothing speechless but he was shaking blushing red from what happened.

Even if they were going to be working together and living together, he knew he might not make it through the fight night. Taking a slow breath, he moves from the wall and goes to finish up with putting his clothing away. For now, the groups were in position and waiting orders now. However, who knows how this will turn out.

♥︎starting off with who fell for who first, honestly depends on the situation but I would think you did, and he would slowly start to notice and he started falling too and before you knew it, you we’re together

♥︎it being a secret relationship, at least at first

♥︎no one knew except you two of course, not the cheerleading team, not hellfire, and especially not the jocks, especially them.

♥︎when you had practice, he would be there, he would sit in the corner somewhere or some place where you would have to look extra hard to find him, not only because he doesn’t wanna be seen being there but also because he doesn’t wanna hear any snarky comments from one of the jocks that ends up with fists in faces.

♥︎speaking of fists in faces, he gets in a lot of fights for you.

♥︎being a cheerleader, you were in the popular circle, also meaning all the popular guys were constantly hitting on you. This obviously upset Gareth in a way. Especially when you both became official, secretly official.

♥︎one time, Andy from the basketball team had asked you out, you denied of course and started to walk away, until he had grabbed you’re arm a little too rough and had pulled you into his chest, that’s when Gareth had lost it and started swinging. It was close call, but neither of you had got caught, Gareth blaming it on “that’s no way to treat a woman” thankfully people left it alone and it became something in the past

♥︎eventually Gareth told Hellfire and make them swear not to tell anyone

♥︎they had lots of emotions, mostly shocked and happy, happy Gareth found someone that makes him truly happy.

♥︎you would sneak into the drama room for watch them play DnD the nights you didn’t have a game or practice.

♥︎I do see a slight thing happening like Maddy and Nate, except it would sorta secretive. If you don’t understand what I mean, I’m basically saying he would hunt down any person who talk to you or touched you the wrong way.

♥︎if you won’t leave the house, you guys have late night phone calls, it’s very rare for the two of you to go a night without talking to each somehow.

♥︎ trusting one another, him telling you stuff sometimes but most of the time it’s you telling him stuff, mostly gossip about the other girls. Most of the time he doesn’t even pay attention to what you’re saying, just enjoying hearing your voice, and sometimes he would be so into it “so wait, Beth and Chance hooked up in the locker room even though Chance is currently going out with Pamela? Damnnnn”

♥︎now moving onto how you both got caught and how people found out you we’re together.

♥︎you both just chilling in a empty classroom, talking about your day so far before 5th period when Jason had busted through the door with Chrissy in, probably coming in to have a quick hookup.

♥︎anyways, Jason immediately ran off with Chrissy and before you knew it, you and Gareth being together had spread like wildfire.

♥︎there was a few issues but it wasn’t as bad as you thought, like every craze, it had passed awfully quickly and some other drama had become the talk of the town.

♥︎after that, Gareth got a lot more comfortable and so did you. Starting to hold hands in the hallways and locker kisses became a thing.

♥︎in the end, it had it difficulties but it ended up working out just fine.

Okay, hear me out, I have this hc about inumaki that I need to share bc I like to make my thoughts everyone's problem,,,

What if inumaki knows sign language, he learnt it all by himself while growing up to be able to communicate with others (cause it's canon that amongst his family they communicate with their hearts, pliz i wanna cry). And well, he uses sign language mostly when he's out and about in his daily life cause man can't really be talking in onigiri ingredients to strangers. Thing is that with his friends, he doesn't really use it??? He's so so grateful that they manage to interpret what he means, it fills his heart with a new type of warmth when he literally speaks food but yūta nods along attentively, maki mostly rolls her eyes at his misplaced and quite sarcastic interjections (because you can feel the attitude coming from that tuna mayo sometimes), megumi never misses a beat and answers him right away and reader loves having conversations with him and ever so often asks inumaki his opinion on anything and everything and they just look at him with stars in their eyes as he rambles in ingredients.

Sometimes inumaki even relishes it, he likes leaving his friends hanging and arguing over what he says because he's just a fucking menace and he knows it.

But inumaki sometimes gets insecure, sometimes he does throw in a couple of signs hurriedly to make sure that he is understood, sometimes it's even mindlessly, signing his favourite words or the ones that he uses more often just because he is used to it. Some other times it can even be desperate, during fights against curses when he wished he could cry out his friends names but restrains himself because it's too dangerous, and then it's big, hurried and shaky motions, his hands trembling and eager to shout safety when his voice can't.

But inumaki never tells, never asks his friends to learn sign language for him, he doesn't want to burden them with that, so instead he limits his use of it around them as much as he can, because he knows they would pick up on it. He just knows by the way they always make sure never to speak over him or how they hush others whenever he does speak up.

What if reader notices anyways?? And it's not like the others don't care as much, they do, they really do. But maybe reader already knew a little sign language themselves, maybe they just like learning languages in general, maybe, just maybe, they find themselves looking at inumaki a little closer, a little more attentively.

And then reader decides to start learning sign language too. They watch videos, read articles, buy books (that they have to hide under their bed because inumaki is a nosy fucker with the people he's comfortable with, hell, I'm pretty sure reader has to erase their youtube history otherwise inumaki would quickly find out whenever they binge watch videos together). And at the beginning it's hard, it's so hard learning on their own, and it's hard also for them to restrain themselves from using it around inumaki, from asking him if they're signing correctly and wondering if inumaki could teach them all of his favourite words. But they manage to keep their mouth shut, to wait until they get better so that they are sure they could have an actual conversation without inumaki having to worry about using words too complex for reader to understand.

But then, it's yūta finding reader one afternoon while they're struggling, borderline crying, over compounding and reduplicating and sentence structure and it's all getting to their head so they're  f r u s t r a t e d. And yūta, like the absolute fucking sweetheart he is, he immediately offers to help them and ofc bby wants to learn too cause inumaki is his bestfriend too >:/

And please, I just know that these two would end up dragging the entirety of Jujutsu High in their plan and teach all of them sign language.

JUST IMAGINE, study nights in reader's dorm room, with snacks and energy drinks cause they gonna need them for sure, yūta and reader are teaching the others with like 12 different books strewn all over the floor, 3 different videos playing in the background and it's so damn chaotic. Megumi is probably a natural cause he already uses hands gesture to evoke his shikigami, so he can remember hand signs very easily and can do them so cleanly while like nobara and yuji be struggling and just yell at fushiguro cause "it's not fair" and "he has an advantage". Panda is there just to support them cause he can't really sign with his paws, but he just manages to instill more chaos by teasing and poking fun at Maki (poor girl has zero patience).

And gojo would 100% join them just to sprinkle more chaos and be the absolute menace that he is. (But lowkey he wants to learn too ofc).

And ofc, they're probably so outwardly secretive about it that inumaki notices it right away and he just has to be a nosy little shit about it (cause how dare they leave him out of it) so one night he quite literally bursts into reader's room only to find Maki and Itadori yelling over "how the fuck non-manual modifiers work" and Gojo and Nobara laughing their asses off and making jokes about their awful awful hand coordination, reader and Yūta are probably so fucking done, Panda is enjoying them freaking out like it's the last season of his favourite tv show.

And it's honestly hilarious how quickly they fall silent in complete and utter horror at the sight of inumaki standing there.

And then they all kind of fumble around and try to greet inumaki and like introduce themselves or say something in sign language one by one bc that's what they had been preparing for, right?? And it's probably so messy but inumaki doesn't give a fuck and then, he just starts crying.

Prob they take it the wrong way too, and they all start panicking, but he is quick to try and reassure them, hands shaky by how overwhelmed he is, that warm feeling he had learnt to associate to his friends is back, but tenfold, and it makes his cheeks burn and a smile so big break on his face. And then he signs back "hi everyone, I'm Inumaki Toge".

Anyone and everyone who had ever known little Hannah Hook could tell you that she had a phenomenal way with words.

She'd been telling stories ever since she learned sign language, after all. Taking seemingly unconnected plot points that got stuck in her little brain and mixing and matching them together until she had weaved a story so magnificent it had everyone sitting on the edge of their seats.

She could play innocent and dumb well, often tricking people into revealing the way they were able to cheat so well and start coming up with plans to cut said cheating attempts off within seconds.

She gave great threats that she rarely used and was often able to talk herself and others in and out of trouble on a good day.

It was one of the few things the majority of the isle could agree on:

Hannah Hook had a way with words.

Her feet, on the other hand...

Well, few people liked pointing it out but it was obvious who could see or hear that Hannah was a very clumsy person.

A klutz.

A walking train wreck.

Whatever you wanna call it.

Hannah Hook was undoubtedly it.

Almost to a fatal degree and Hannah been ever since she was a wee baby.

Much to the dismay of those around her.

Harriet heard a thud, thud, thud one day when she was trying to draw a map when she was 5 (almost) and went to investigate. Only to find her 8 month old sister, Hannah Hook, walking into a barrel.

The ravenette stared for a few minutes, absolutely baffled as the wee baby walked into it yet again as if not seeing it. Only to fall back on her butt, get back up, and do the same thing again while trying to get past it.

It was a werid sight to see indeed. Especially when one took into consideration that Hannah hadn't been walking that morning. But Harriet just brushed it off and waited to see if Hannah would figure out how to get around it on her own.

When it became apparent that, that wasn't going to happen the older girl sighed heavily and walked over. Causing her little sister to look in her direction, scrunching up her face up in confusion.

Harriet just picked her up and moved her to side, exasperated as the little girl stumbled off. Laughing gleefully, causing the ravenette to shake her head before she retreated back to her room.

'What a werid kid...'

Hannah's clumsiness didn't get any better as she aged. She'd still bump into things and trip constantly-- getting bruises and cuts and bumps on the daily.

Which infuriated 3 year old, Cj Hook to no end because 'it ruined her wharf cred!'. Even though she had no idea what exactly that meant, having learnt the phrase from Harriet's friends.

But still, it sounded serious to her and one day, after Hannah tripped down the gang plank, the blonde snapped. Storming down after her down and signed at her furiously.

Her signing barely legibly as she quickly held up her dominant hand into the number five sign so that her palm was facing her and closed it. Before gesturing to her hand.

She repeated the action as the two year old squinted at her.

'Hold. Hand. Hold. Hand!'

Hannah held out her hand, furrowing her brows. Extremely confused as to what her older sister wanted from her.

Cj nearly growled in frustration, rolling her eyes as she yanked the smaller girl by the hand and dragged her off to the market place. Not releasing her hand until they were back on the Jolly.

Which continued for the next two years until she realized that being seen holding your younger sister's hand was even more embarrassing than them being a walking train wreck and promptly quit the tradition. Denying that it ever happened and that anyone who remembered her doing so was delusional.

"Come on, you dumb, overgrown lizard!" 7 year old, Harry Hook griped, scowling as hung off of the dock. Dipping his hand in the water, trying to entice the ancient and aging Tick Tock to chomp off his hand already.

He just needed to get a Hook just like his dad!

Uma and Harriet had refused to assist him in his quest, so he wasn't having in any luck. And since it was his turn to watch his youngest sister, he was having even worse luck than he usually did.

And while Harry usually loved Hannah's excited, distracted chattering, in the moment it was making him irritable. Because all it was doing was scary to the other crocodiles off.

So, he did the only logical thing.

Signed for her to go play somewhere else, ignoring the sad look she gave him as he turned back to the thing that scared their dad the most.

Tempting fate and paying no mind to the fact that Tick-Tock's jaws were longer than he was as he shouted at it "TAKE A BITE ALREADY!"

The dastardly creature just opened one eye lazily and went back to sleep.

Harry scowled, tempted to throw a rock at it but knowing better after the last time. He shivered, remembering the tongue lashing Ginny, Harriet, and Uma had given him.

"Stupid bloody, overgrown--"

The young devil-may care buccaneer was cut off mid-rant when a loud splash and familiar cry rang out.

Harry spun around so quickly that he nearly got whiplash, eyes wide as he saw his little sister thrashing around in the murky water. Where she was barely, if at all, separated from all the dangerous creatures that lived in it.

"Oh sweet evil" was all he said as he bolted over to recuse her. Knowing that his parents were going to kill him.

"Ginny! Ginny! Look how high up I am!" 9 year old, Hannah Hook, called out to her older sister who was trying her best to do her potions homework.

The 14 year old barely looked up from her book.

"That's nice squirit."

"You aren't looking!"

Ginny sighed, dog earring the page before looking in the direction of Hannah's voice-- nearly causing her to have a heart attack.

There, up in the bell tower-- hanging out of the window-- was her tiny, bumbling sister. Who slipped at the exact moment.

Luckily for them both, Claudine was up there about to ring the bell to signal that school was over and quickly caught her by her arm. Yankimg her back in.

Ginny buried her face in her hands, groaning and feeling faint "that kid is gonna be the death of me..."

Hannah ran through the woods of Neverland, howling with laughter as Peter flew after her.

"Run run run, as fast as you can! You can't catch me, Peter Pan!"

The brunette sang out playfully, causing her brother to sped up. Both of them slapping tree branches out of their way.

"Yes I can!"

"No you can't!"

"Yes I can!"

"No you can-- AHHHH!"

Hannah yelped as her foot connected with a sturdy root, causing her to tumble down the hill.

"Uh oh" Peter mumbled to himself, before zooming down after her in an attempt to catch her.

Which only earned both of them a bloody nose and a multitude of bruises, bumps, and cuts. But both of them had quite the laugh about it.

Hiiiii so I'm the writer of The Final Piece and I am simply here to rant and rave about Sleep Awake because it's??? occupying so much of my mind it's not even funny??? I literally binged the whole thing in like 2 or 3 days and the chokehold your writing has me in is insanity. This is gonna be long I seriously hope that's okay but there's SO MUCH I wanna say! I have talked so much about all of Sleep Awake to my roommate and sister and friends that they all have practically read it second hand through me just talking about it and how much I love it. You are such a talented writer, and I'm sure you already know that, but I feel the need to tell you anyway.

Moving on!

I absolutely adore the MC you've created, their development has been SO satisfying to read, their journey into learning that it's okay to live for yourself instead of for other people just makes me sob and punch the air. It's such a relatable struggle and I love that you incorporated it into their character, it gives them a level of depth where you physically can't NOT root for them after everything they've been through.

I'm also a HUGE fan of platonic relationships (I'm asexual I can't help it I love reading about friends sm) and when I got into your fic I felt like the skies parted when the first chapter note mentioned you were also gonna focus on the platonic relationships because I WANNA BE FRIENDS WITH THEM TOO NOT JUST DATE THEM. The locker trio already had my heart but as the fic went on I slowly started to really like the MC and Maki's friendship as it developed and now other than Kiibo's and Shuichi's friendship with them she is probably my fav. I'll save all that for another time though.

Also also also the whole third trial??? Literally couldn't have asked for anything better. Seriously that was the best change to canon, from start to finish I loved every second reading it.

Every character you write feels so canon I feel like I can hear their voices in my head, it's wonderful. And don't even get me STARTED on Kokichi's characterization and his relationship with the MC. It's become so ingrained in my head that I forget that he doesn't have them in canon lmao. The almost cat and mouse game between them has me gripping the sides of my head. I went back to reread the game of Karma chapter like 15 times because it's one of my favorite scenes of theirs. They have such fun back and forth banter, and even while they are arguing I'm just sitting there reading and saying 'THEY'RE IN LOVE YOUR HONOR'.

Kokichi's struggle to trust the MC until recent chapters is being so perfectly well done, because it's EXACTLY how he would act too. Also his complete denial of having feelings for them in favor of his mission to stop the killing game??? Ugh. I could go on forever about how much I love this fic and how it's completely changed the trajectory of my life lmao, but I think I've rambled long enough. I'm sorry if this was just a lot of word vomit to read, but I have been wanting to reach out and have been so shy about it because all of this is kinda new to me. I legit have never even used Tumblr until recently, so I'm still trying to figure it all out.

first of all HI HELLO!!! i had no idea you had read sleep awake what!!! im very sorry if you've commented before because i may have forgotten because it does get a lot of comments but. honestly i just wanted to leave a nice review of ur work and then i found out you've read sleep awake!!!! insane. i cannot believe u have TALKED ABT SLEEP AWAKE in real life hello???? malfunctions. thank u so very much that is literally the highest of compliments.

im. very emotional and happy u like my mc. they r my baby considering they r basically Me but also i feel like the stuff they struggle with is general enough to be relatable to a lot of people. and i am very glad their journey resonated with you at least a little.

the platonic relationships!!! grabs u by the shoulders and shakes u like a rattle toy. OH MY GOD. yeah. yeah u get it. i jsut simply think romantic relationships r not inherently more important than friendships, and with sleep awake specifically i do not think that mc could heal and go on the journey they need to go on if they were only close with kokichi. like for sure he's a big help and big part of it, but an mc without kiibo, kaede, kirumi, shuichi, tenko, kaito and maki would literally not exist as they are now. TO BE A COMPLETE PERSON u must learn from the people around u that u love and maybe even the ones u hate. i think that is so special and so important, not just in fiction but in larger life. like. people who focus solely on romantic relationships in long fics u bamboozle me. it keys into this idea of 'oh if ur broken u just need one specific special person to fix u' and like. no. maybe u learn to put urself back together with constant help from the people around u, from ur family and ur friends and ur role models. not just the person u wanna kiss. that is just me tho.

im rly happy u mentioned mc and maki actually!!! i find that most people rly like mc's friendships with kiibo and shuichi and kirumi, which is understandable because mc doesn't get a ton of time with maki but. i really like what i've done with the two of them?? idk that feels big headed to say but writing their relationship develop has been super fun and it's one of those things i didn't rly plan? it just sorta happened and now mc has maybe too many friends but yk what. we move. maybe the real sleep awake was the friends we made along the way.

hhhghgbfhh kokichi and mc's relationship makes me so mentally ill. in a good way. and im really really happy ur invested in it. like my god i have put so much time n thought into these babies and i feel like one aspect of writing their relationship i dont talk abt as much is how patient u have to be. i feel like u would get this too, writing a slowburn urself — u have all these ideas u want to incorporate and ideas of how they get together, their first kiss, their first whatevers but. u gotta lay the groundwork first. and with characters like kokichi and nagito it's gonna be like 90% groundwork because they have walls and complexities a mile high. but im super happy with how it's developing.
