#I wanna go on T but I only want ABC changes and X change is gross and how do I prevent Z and is Y reversible-

I’m a huge proponent for anyone should have access to whatever tools they need to do whatever they want to their body etc but ngl it makes me sad seeing the number of AFAB transes who speak of taking testosterone as this almost like, unfortunate thing you gotta endure to get a set list of Desired Changes, or this sorta like, thing you gotta compromise on, with this whole list of negative effects that you gotta risk if you want the positives or whatever, and just constant posts that are functionally like “how long do I have to be on T until I can stop?” or “I want XYZ changes from T but I don’t want ABC changes,” and like it just frustrates me because to be frank I love testosterone. I love everything about being on it and I consider it a miracle that modern medicine has made it possible to access this hormone exogenously if we can’t produce enough of it ourselves. I feel like fundamentally my lack of proper T levels had a negative impact on me until it was corrected and I don’t feel like I was truly myself until I began HRT. Literally the only negative thing about it at all is the frustration that I’m dependent on an outside source for the rest of my life rather than able to just make it myself but there’s no doubt in my mind that I want to be on it for the rest of my life. While maybe a bit pedantic I don’t view T as having side effects, I don’t even necessarily view it as a medication in the traditional sense, it’s just an artificial way for me to correct my body to the state it already should’ve been in. I was overcome by relief after taking my very first dose when I was seeing 0 changes and even as the initial excitement has naturally died down over the years that relief is something I never take for granted. If I could keep every change T has given me and stop taking it I still wouldn’t because beneath all the desire for the changes there is an innate desire to just be on testosterone. I just idk dude I wish that HRT at least within the FTM / transmasc community was viewed with more reverence and the perspectives of those who view it as genuinely a life saving and necessary resource were given a little more voice. I think the entire idea of hormonal dysphoria and the need to alleviate it by correcting one’s hormone production separate from the laundry list of the possible more visible changes and side effects and what’s desired or not or what’s permanent or not etc etc of HRT is seen as weirdly archaic in lots of mainstream FTM spaces and it’s a bit frustrating and isolating.

Fandom: Attack on Titan Pairing: Reiner Braun x Male Reader ~~~ A = Attractive (What do they find attractive about the other?) - Okay we all want to say he loves his boyfriend’s heart but no. He more than likely finds his boyfriend’s ass the most attractive thing. Don’t worry he still loves ya.

B = Baby (Do they want a family? Why/Why not?) - Yes Reiner would want a kid, maybe two...but not in a world where Marley and Paradis were still at odds. After though? For sure he does.

C = Cuddle (How do they cuddle?) - Big spoon. He’s the big spoon that cuddles his boyfriend pretty tight.

D = Dates (What are dates with them like?) - Awkward to say the least. He has NO idea how to date or even what dating entails. Thought the more he dates, the more romantic he gets. So LOTS OF DATES!

F = Feelings (When did they know they were in love?) - He would first start crushing on his boyfriend during training. He’d probably have a LOT of questioning going on. It wasn’t until the battle of Trost District did he truly realize he loved him.

G = Gentle (Are they gentle? If so, how?) - Reiner is surprisingly gentle. This strong muscle man might be a bit awkward and strong at first, but he’d quickly get out of that and just be a soft boy! He loves hugging his boyfriend from behind and placing a kiss on his cheek. He’ll also love to carry him around as well.

H = Hands (How do they like to hold hands?) - Reiner didn’t start out as a hands person but as time went on he never wanted to let his boyfriend’s hand go.

I = Impression (What was their first impression?) - Growing up in Marley, he was told the Eldian’s on Paradis were wild savages, so that’s exactly what he thought at first. Then he spent more time on Paradis and around his boyfriend. That’s really what started getting his mindset changed around.

J = Jealousy (Do they get jealous?) - Oh yeah he does. Jean and Eren better stay away from his boyfriend otherwise he’s going to go all armored titan on their asses. You know that deathly stare Mikasa has? Yeah, he does that.

K = Kiss (How do they kiss? Who initiated the first kiss?) - He’d want to kiss his boyfriend, but more than likely it’s his boyfriend that kisses him first. I can see Reiner being a rather sloppy and awkward kisser but when he’s really passionate...he’s a GREAT kisser.

L = Love (Who says ‘I love you’ first?) - Reiner does. He says it right before the expedition outside the wall. Reiner knows he’ll be safe...but he’s not sure what exactly would happen after so he figured it was the time.

M = Memory (What’s their favourite memory together?) - There were two that spoke to Reiner. The first was when he and his boyfriend had snuck off during training before they were dating and went swimming in the lake late at night. The second was watching his boyfriend absolutely DOMINATING titans during the battle of Trost and Reiner being whipped for him.

N = Nickel (Do they spoil? Do they buy the person they love everything?) - No Reiner doesn’t. I mean he would want too but....do you even get paid in the survey corps? However, Reiner WILL snatch bits of extra food or lose items from places to gift to his boyfriend. It’s not stealing if it’s for love right?

O = Orange (What colour reminds them of their other half?) - Okay call me cliche but, Red, Yellow, and Orange are the only colors I can picture when I think of Reiner. They’re aggressive yet also calming and comforting all at the same time. Perfect for him.

P = Pet names (What pet names do they use?) - I can see him calling his boyfriend ‘my love’, ‘beloved’, and ‘babe’.

Q = Quaint (What is their favourite non-modern thing?) - Going on walks. He likes to take little walks either through town or through the nearby forests with his boyfriend.

R = Rainy Day (What do they like to do on a rainy day?) - Cuddle session with his boyfriend and reading a book.

S = Sad (How do they cheer themselves/others up?) - He sucks it up. Yeah, Reiner is one of those people that hides his emotions away from people but his boyfriend knows him pretty well. His boyfriend is the one that tries to cheer him up.

T = Talking (What do they like to talk about?) - Reiner really talks about his boyfriend, and how handsome and great he is. Reiner is literally a himbo.

U = Unencumbered (What helps them relax?) - Cuddles are always a good way to get him to relax. But he’s also a sucker for a good massage.

V = Vaunt (What do they like to show off? What are they proud of?) - His boyfriend and his strength. Reiner carrying his boyfriend: “Have you all seen how amazing my boyfriend is!?”

Historia is the one to marry them, which everyone finds ironic. As for how,when and where the proposal happens...let’s just say it was during the life and death scenario.

X = Xylophone (What’s their song?) - I really wanna say wrecking ball by Miley Cyrus...I really do. But really I see Achilles come down by Gang of Youths being his song, especially after learning about his past.

Y = Yes (Do they ever think of getting married/proposing?) - Yes. In fact, he REALLY debated not following through with the rest of the plan and just staying on Paradis with his boyfriend.

Z = Zebra (If they wanted a pet, what would they get?) - A dog. He’d probably want like a German Shepard. He’d want an outdoor dog ya know.

A - Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)

It takes a while for Danny to open up. He’s had a rough past, and closes himself off to protect himself and others. He always tensed up when you showed any type of physical contact, but slowly started to melt into them. After things became official between the two of you he slowly started reciprocating, but is still nervous about it.

B - Best Friend (What would they be like as a best friend? Where does the friendship start?)

You guys met through Billy. Most people in town know Billy, he is the quiet sweetheart that does what he can to help out. So he introduces the two of you, the two closest people to him. From there your friendship blossomed and he’d start seeking you out to be around you.

C - Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)

Danny boy just needs to be held ok? Sweet boy just has so much going on and cuddling with you helps ground him. His favorite cuddle position is where you're on your back, and his head is resting on your chest, your arms cradling his head brushing through his hair. His arms will be around your waist trying to get impossibly closer to you and you tangle your legs with his, which makes him oh so soft.

D - Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking, cleaning, ect?)

He loves the idea of getting a small apartment with you, just something small and quaint. A proper home for once in his life with the one person he feels safe with.

He likes to keep a tidy place, if there is too much of a mess it starts to overwhelm him. He likes cooking, but most of the things he knows how to cook are simple dishes. He likes when you cook food you’ve had when you were a kid, a smile always adorning his face as you cook.

E - Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)

This man would have tears in his eyes, but refuses to let them fall. But he would make sure he is respectful and make you realize that it really is him. He doesn’t want you to feel worse than you already do.

F - Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? Do they wanna get married?)

He is very hesitant about wanting to fully commit to you. He loves you, but he has so many demons. He thinks you deserve better than an ex-alcoholic that has mountains of trauma and this weird shining thing that haunts him most nights.

I feel like he wouldn’t feel the need to make it “official” anyways. Just being with you in general is enough for him. He doesn’t need this grand gesture or a piece of paper to show that he loves you. But he will do whatever makes you happy.

G - Gentle (How gentle are they both physically and emotionally?)

Dan emotionally is very rough around the edges, he really does need a bit of TLC. He himself tries to be soft towards you, and give you everything he thinks you deserve in a s/o. He wishes so much he could do more.

Physically he melts in your arms. The moment you hold him in any way he can’t help but smile for a moment and hold on to you tighter, or nuzzle into you. He’s been through shit and somehow his demons keep finding him, but when he is in your arms he feels safe. He’s not necessarily clingy, but he loves being held and holding you.

H - Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it, and what are they like?)

Like I said this man loves to hold you and he loves to be held. His hugs at first are timid, but you always squeeze him as hard as you can in the biggest bear hug you can muster. After you reciprocate his hug he grows more confident in it.

I - I Love You (How fast do they say the “love” word?)

As said before Danny is hesitant about most things because of his past, so it takes a while for him to even think “wow I love this person”. He knows he cares for you and does love you but the thought of really being “in love” scares him a bit. But nevertheless he does admit it out loud when you're holding him one night after a particularly nasty nightmare, or day just needing comfort.

J - Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What are they like when jealous?)

So I feel like during his time he got clean he’s learned to control his emotions more, so it’s hard for him to get jealous. He also trusts you 100% in that area, he knows you and knows you wouldn’t cheat on him. But when he does I feel like he gets a little pouty, and quiet. Once you realize you’ll grab his hand and squeeze it reassuring him that everythings ok.

K - Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)

He’s usually into the soft kisses, the ones where you both end up melting into each other. Your bodies start to relax with the feel of each other and you can feel the care in the kiss. IMAGINE AS HE LINKS HIS FINGERS WITH YOURS AS YOU KISS SOFTLY

But don’t let the man fool you, when the time is right he will kiss you with a fiery passion. It's incredibly sexy when he kisses you as if he owns you, but this is reserved for behind closed doors.

L - Little Ones (How are they around kids?)

He wasn’t good with kids before, but after working at Teeny Town and Abra he got better. It’s funny because he doesn’t do a high pitched voice like others usually would, but he would talk with interest and curiosity in his voice.

M - Morning (What are mornings like with them?)

So mornings happen differently. There are the mornings he gets up somewhat early to go conduct the train in Teeny Towns, and there are the mornings where he sleeps in a little later after a night working at the hospice center. Either way when one of you gets up you're always pressing a kiss to the top of the others head when they wake, and before they leave for work.

N - Nights (How are nights spent with them?)

Nights are the same as the mornings. The nights where he’s home are spent with the two of you dancing around each other as you cook, clean, or do whatever it is you do in the afternoons. But when he goes in to work, you always pack him some food to munch on later in the night and he can’t help but smile at the thoughtfulness. When he comes home he loves seeing you curled up in your shared bed, more often than not you’re in one of his shirts.

O - Open (When do they open up about themselves?)

It takes a while for him to open up to you. I mean most people think he’s crazy when he talks about the things he sees, or looks at him with pity because of his past. You never pushed him to talk about anything, which is how you gained his trust. Before you guys became an item he told you everything, and you sat there with sad, but understanding eyes. You grabbed his hand and told him that you believed him, and how that it doesn't change how you feel about him. Safe to say he was fighting tears after that and internally SWOONED.

P - Patience (How easily angered are they?)

He gets frustrated but not that angry anymore. But he is also pretty patient, especially with other people. The hardest part is being patient with himself.

Q - Quizzes (How much do they remember about you?)

Dan remembers most things about you, but there are a few things that might slip his mind.

R - Remember (Favorite memory with you?)

His favorite moments with you are when you're cuddling, but one of his all time favorite moments was when you had just got off of work and Teeny Town was full of families. On your way home you walked right up to Billy and asked how you could help. At some point you ended up running around chasing the kids, while giving one a piggyback ride. You looked so happy, as you helped entertain the kids waiting for a ride on the train. He knew you were tired after work, but yet you still came over to help plant some flowers and help the tired parents with their kids.

S - Security (How protective are they?)

Dan is pretty protective, that’s why it took so long to let you into his life. He doesn’t want anything happening to you, and if something happened to you because of him? He’d never forgive himself. He still hasn’t forgiven himself for past slip ups.

T - Try (How much effort do they put in?)

Sweet boy tries. He tries his best everyday with what seems to be the weight of the world on his shoulders. You see that and are incredibly proud of him either way. But when he goes out of his way to do something for you? You feel special. Life is hard already, and extra hard when you have shit to work through. So you always make sure he knows that you appreciate everything he does, even if it's only for himself.

U - Ugly (What are their bad habits?)

Danny boy worked real hard to stop his drinking, but of course because of that he acts a little different when he’s overwhelmed and doesn’t have alcohol to help. The main thing is he really wants to just be alone, and is used to being alone. Learning to trust and have a friend in Billy is one thing, but having a significant other? There’s gonna be a little more work needed.

V - Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)

He’s pretty lax about his appearance. After he got clean he manages himself a little more than he used too, and after he got with you he tries a littlemore. He takes care of himself more and when you go out with each other he makes sure to look a little nicer for you.  

W - Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)

I wouldn't necessarily say “incomplete” but more of a loss. Being incomplete is like saying you will be okay again. He’s lost people before and worked through it, but he still feels it like the day he found out.

X - Xtra (Random HC)

After you move in together you realize there’s a cat that roams around, so you guys “adopt” it. You always leave food out and even bought a little bed and put it outside for it. It’s a little white and grey cat with light blue eyes. You named it Spoon, not knowing what else to call it while you washed some dishes. Danny chuckled at the name and somehow found himself calling the cat Spoon as well.

Y - Yuck (Things they don’t like either in general or a partner?)

Danny doesn’t like people who are impatient, or super closed minded. With the things he’s seen and dealt with he needs someone who won’t judge, someone who can believe what he’s been through.

Z - Zzz (Sleep habits)

Dan has insomnia. How can he not with everything in his head? So he doesn’t look forward to sleeping. He has medicine for if it gets too bad, or if he can’t go back to sleep. If you happen to wake up with him you make some tea to help relax the both of you back into sleep. You’ll curl up into each other and pass out watching an old show or movie you both like.

               Point is you don’t gotta do it alone so here’s Nims abc’s of self-care, self-love, and respect !!

A: Attend. Attend those events you wanted; the ones you’ve been looking forward to. You might be nervous but if you don’t go and give it a try you’ll never know! We’ll all be here for you whether you go off to do something or not; trust that your writing partners don’t mind the wait at all !!

B: Believe. Believe that it’s ok to have hope in things; have faith that it’s alright to be vulnerable. The right people will accept you as you are--but you won’t find them if you aren’t willing to try. Shutting down and mistrusting everyone won’t get you anywhere darlin; the bravest thing you can do is keep going. 

C: Cuddle. Cuddle your blankets, your pet, your stuffies, your friends, your partners--have a cuddle buddy. Human touch might not be a full option for you right now but hold something close to your chest and enjoy the feeling of something you value being pressed into your treasured form. 

D: Drink. Drink water! I know it might not be the most interesting or fun but your body really needs it. If you find that water by itself doesn’t work, mix it 50/50 with a thick juice. Staying hydrated is the best way to keep yourself feeling up to snuff! 

E: Empathize. Empathize with yourself. Yes everyone else is important too; it’s ok to try and put yourself in other peoples shoes but look at yourself with the same understanding. You’ve had your own share of troubles and challenges that tested your well--everything. You’re doing amazing with the tools you’ve been given--don’t forget that. Have a little grace for yourself yeah?

F: Food. Food also will help empower your brain and your body to be the best it can be. You might not always be able to handle a lot, if anything, but try. If you need eat something light like toast or keep snacks around that you can munch on; just keep a little something in your stomach when you can! 

G: Garbage. Garbage isn’t really very hygienic and sometimes when you’re depressed you have a hard time picking up after yourself. I get it! But if you leave your space full of trash you’ll feel like trash...and that’s just no good! Take some time to gather it all up and throw it away so your environment can feel cleaner !!

H: Hear. Hear what others say because you are only human and it is alright to make mistakes; you are hardly expected to be perfect. It’s alright to have slipped up--let them speak, apologize, grow. There’s no need to bring yourself down for it, others only speak up to help you learn. Not only that but hear their opinions and their stories; keep an open mind to things you learn in case it is wrong. 

I: Inspiration. Inspiration is your best friend. It doesn’t matter what that is...if something helps bring out your creative side, let it shine! You don’t need to hide the things that feed into your hobbies and your plans; they are wonderful and you should treasure them. 

J: Justified. Justified to be unapologetically you. Justified to have feelings and want to feel them. You are not less for not always being able to react or behave in the way the world expects you to; you are unique after all and it’s ok to be that way. You don’t owe anyone anything. 

K: Karma. Karma is your ally and your friend. You do not need to seek vengeance, justice, or retribution for those who wronged you--their time will come. Focus on being better; focus on being the person they said you couldn’t be. Prove them wrong and let karma worry about the punishments for their bullshit--you just focus on being the royalty you are. 

L: Laundry. Laundry is rough because you have to wash it, dry it, then fold and put it away. how can you make it fun? Can you put on music and jam out? Maybe there’s a game you can play while waiting between loads. Watch a movie and/or tv show while you do it (especially folding)! No one said it had to be boring, you can and should make it enjoyable! Maybe start with clothes you think you’ll need for the week (underwear, work clothes, etc) so what you need gets done first; take the rest a little at a time. Sometimes if you’re behind just doing one load a day helps wittle it down without it being overwhelming. 

M: Memory. Memories are invaluable and you shouldn’t fear or be ashamed of any of them. If your memory is embarrassing, learn from it--or maybe it’s the other people in it that should feel embarrassed !! Your memories are who make you you and it would be a shame to not be yourself. Hold onto your past, keep it like a photobook in your life so when you need them most--you can look back on them and hold your head high. 

N: Notice. Notice the actions of others. Compare how people treat you to how the people you encourage in others lives treat each other. If someone did the things they do to you to one of your friends, would you encourage them to stay in contact? Or would you tell your friend to get the hell out? Sometimes we accept less than we deserve and tell others to expect more--but you deserve just as much respect as they do. You are not less for being you. 

O: Open. Open up about your past when you feel you can trust someone; to your counselor or the parent figure in your life. Open your heart to the possibility of change. I know it’s scary and you feel like a burden but the more open you are, the stronger your lasting relationships will be. Communication is key!

P: Plan. Planning is no ones favorite thing and yeah you know sometimes they change, but it’s ok to have a course charted out. Sure life might tell you that your plans need to change and throw you in a way you didn’t expect--but no one said plans had to be set in stone! Just like the outline for your paper--a plan is an outline for your life, not the whole thing. You’ll get where your going one way or another--just set yourself on the right course and the rest of it will work out. 

Q: Quiet. Quiet is so demonized because as humans we are used to being surrounded by noise and sometimes your depression makes you afraid of silence. But then while being left alone with your own thoughts is hard it’s not bad if the quiet is by choice. Choose to go out for a walk, get out of town for a few days, expose yourself to the quiet of nature; a gentle white noise. Maybe a good book would be a nice change of pace; just the rustle of the world and pages. It’s ok to revel in the silence--however you do it. Quiet is not always bad, it’s ok to seek it out. 

R: Respect. Respect is earned not given--bullshit! Respect is given but can be taken away. You should always respect others as they should respect you! But if they abuse that respect? Oh hell nah honey you yank that shit away. Respect is given, but they have to keep earning it every day. You’ve earned that shit already, but that doesn’t mean other people have earned it from you. Don’t forget that !!

S: Shower. Shower because you need it. I hate them as much as the next person but a clean you feels a lot better inside, trust me. Have a clean set of clothes waiting for you so not only your skin--but your clothes feel clean. Or you know, just revel in the feeling of your own skin; I’m not here to judge. Plus you know hot water feels really good on sore muscles !!

T: Tea. Tea is my favorite thing in the world! Do you like it too? There’s so many options both herbal and non-herbal! I really like black tea with a spoonful of honey and some milk--but I really like my stress-reliever herbal tea. There’s nothing more soothing than holding a warm cup in your hands and just letting that heat soak into your bones--speaking of you probably have a cup waiting for you !! (could be coffee or cocoa too, we don’t bring that debate here!)

U: Undefined. Undefined is you, my dear. It doesn’t matter how old you are, how long you’ve been around--it’s never too late to figure things out; to change how you see yourself. My mother is 65 and going back to school--learning she is non-binary. You don’t need to figure it all out now; you don’t need to have all the answers or labels. You can keep changing, keep growing, keep redefining yourself--because the only person who gets to say who you are or who you aren’t--is you. 

V: Victory. Victories are hard fought, no matter how small...and you should celebrate them !! Even if it’s just a little dance--celebrate it !! You wanna gush about this seemingly insignifigant thing? Hell yeah, do it !! Did you get out of bed this morning? Victory !! Did you brush your teeth? Victory !! Did you say something positive about yourself instead of using self-degrading language? VICTORY !!

W: Wish. Wishing on stars was something you heard about a lot as kids--well it’s ok to still do it !! Who said you had to stop wishing on stars? Who said you were too old? It’s ok to have dreams !! It’s ok to have child-like wonder and ideas. You don’t have to be bored and cynical about the world just cause others say you do. If a kids hobby/show/book/etc makes you happy? Fuck how old you are, you can still enjoy the thing !!

X: x-pect. Expect that you should be treated well; that being with someone makes you feel at ease and at peace (yes I know I’m cheating with this one shhh). Who said that all the cheesy things you see about friendship and romances in movies can’t be true? Like yeah ok it isn’t always like that and there’s hard work that goes into it...but that doesn’t mean it can’t be true !! You don’t need to doubt someones sincerity just because it reminds you of fiction. Reality is what inspires fiction after all, is it not? It’s ok to have a life sound track and it’s ok for your relationships (platonic or otherwise) to feel larger than life !!

Y: Yell. Yell for joy, yell out of anger, yell just cause you want to. I don’t know who made you feel like you needed to be quiet all the time but that’s just not true !! I mean there are times to keep your voice low and times to be mindful of your volume, but it doesn’t have to be all the time. You can be loud !! It’s ok to be !! Sometimes it’s the only way you feel heard and sometimes you’re just so PUMPED that you gotta let the whole world know--so do it !! Be loud and be proud !!

Z: Zen. Be at peace with yourself, darling. I know that things are hard and sometimes you have to fight like hell to stay--but it’s gonna be ok. It doesn’t have to be ok yesterday, today, or even tomorrow. It can sting and you can let it weigh on you. You can take up space--you can ask for a shoulder to lean on--because there is so much space out there and that means there’s more than enough for you in the world, and here in my heart.

It’s pretty obvious that Chris is a very active person. He plays football and attends the gym daily, even works out at home, as well as going on plenty of jogs. Aria is in fact the exact opposite to him. She’s lazy and doesn’t like exercising at all. But sometimes she feels like she needs to wanna do these things with Chris so she will insist on going to the gym with him. Big mistake, she would tell you that. Sometimes a jog is ok but those six hours were unbearable.

Chris adores Aria’s long brunette hair and he likes to smooth it out a lot and tangle his fingers in it and Aria feels the same about Chris’ hair. That’s why Chris gets a little upset when Aria cuts her hair because in his words he can’t “make her moan they way he used to” but it seems to work out eventually. Chris also has a liking for Aria’s lips. They’re soft and plump and it’s agonising when she bites down on her lower lip and she loves to tease him with that because she knows what it does to him. Aria also loves Chris’ sky blue eyes, gazing into them for what seems like forever and seeing how they darken when he’s turned on.

No. They hate hiding things from each other. Unless it’s to do with a surprise party but something to do with a friend, they tell each other everything because they have the fear that one secret could ruin everything.

Aria definitely changed Chris, making him feel like he should commit to a relationship and not just fear of getting hurt all the time. When he first came to college, he had serious trust issues but Aria fixed him and he’s forever grateful for that. Same goes for Aria. Chris helped her gain an understanding of the world and realise how misunderstood she can really be. 

J ealousy - Do they get jealous easily? How do they deal with it?

Chris tends to get more jealous than he should but it isn’t anything major. Aria is just really popular and she’s just so goddamn nice that maybe she doesn’t realise she’s befriending someone who secretly wants her. She loves to see the good in people so she wouldn’t notice or would simply ignore it but Chris... would wanna take control of the situation but he wouldn’t because he doesn’t wanna seem possessive or controlling. He never wants her to feel like property. In fact, that’s the last thing he wants. He may just want her to realise it on her own, by maybe acting a little more distant than usual and later when Aria questions him about it, he’d just let her figure it out. It’s a classic method and it works every time. 

K iss - Are they a good kisser? What was the first kiss like?

Chris was an experienced kisser when he met Aria but she didn’t have much. They’ve both learned together to improve so it makes their newfound ability reserved for only each other. As for their first kiss, we all know it was that sweet moment on the rooftop that can never be forgotten.

Chris is of course the one who said those three words first and it was such a sweet moment, with him wanting to make Aria feel like the only person to have his heart and make her feel like the only girl in the world.

Of course! They’re ready to get married! Chris obviously proposed at the end of Senior Year and many people would say that’s too soon but they don’t care because they love each other. Marriage would be just like they talked about, not even any different to how they were before. Just both their names on a contract and maybe Aria’s last name being changed to Powell.

Chris is more with the nicknames because he can pull them off a lot better, calling Aria things like ‘baby’ and ‘beautiful’. He’s always been a fan of the more classic ones and he knows how much Aria loves them. Aria can just about get away with ‘babe’ but sometimes she slips out ‘captain’ and that almost always turns Chris on. 

O n Cloud Nine - What are they like when they are in love? Is it obvious for others? How do they express their feelings?

It’s VERY obvious to their friends. Who could count the amount of times Chris and Aria tell each other they love each other? It’s sweet but it’s also a lot. Chris sometimes doesn’t even express his feeling in his words, just wrapping Aria in a warm embrace and she melts into the natural heat of his body. 

P DA - Are they upfront about their relationship? Do they brag with their s/o in front of others? Or are they rather shy to kiss etc. when others are watching?

PDA is always a given. They just love each other so damn much and Chris can’t help himself. He always needs physical contact with his girlfriend. Sometimes he’ll hold her hand or pull her onto his lap or simply wrap his arm around her waist. 

Q uirk - Some random ability they have that’s beneficial in a relationship.

For some reason, they can always see right through each other and it almost helps when one of them are sad and require comfort.

Chris is such a cute dork and as cheesy as they come. He loves those classic dates and doing things like taking Aria out to fancy restaurants and giving her flowers and chocolates. Then of course, sometimes Aria’s plan comes in where they order pizza and watch a movie on Netflix. Both ideas work perfectly fine. Just a lot less effort.

Aria supports Chris’ career and she’s never once doubted him, even when he doubted himself. She wears his jersey when she goes to his games and there’s never been a time when he hasn’t spotted her face in the crowd. It’s one of the reasons why he loves her so much because she never gives up on him.

Chris and Aria can get experimental... in bed especially. More focusing on the places where they do it. Their regular life usually follows a simple routine and there are of course lazy days of sitting in and doing nothing.

Aria and Chris know each other like the back of their hand. They’ve learned so much about each other over the four years of having known each other and they want each other to know everything. Past present future. You name it.

Sometimes Aria lets Chris braid her hair and the first time he did it was so cute because he didn’t have a clue what he was doing and it turned out so messy that Aria promised he wouldn’t have to do it again and he was very thankful. These things can be avoided with some simple communication with the people putting on the show beforehand.

  B– BANKING. Every few days, make sure to deposit any money you’ve made. You definitely don’t want to be walking around with a big ole wad of cash in your front pocket. #WalkingTarget

  C– CRACKER BARREL is not just for Christians and old people. It’s delicious, fresh, well-made food and insanely cheap. No, they aren’t sponsoring us. It’s a fact! Agent Orange introduced us to this food chain, while we were on a two and a half month tour with them. Thanks, guys!

  D– stop DRINKING so damn much! We’ve toured with bands that get hammered every night and they look like they got hit by a bus every day. A seven-hour drive with a hangover after sleeping for 4 hours in a van? No thank you. Take a break from the booze every now and then. Your body will thank you.

  E– get some EARPLUGS. It’s not punk rock, but if you’re on a long tour, your ears get punished from hearing loud music every night. I (Eric) don’t wear them on stage, but I wear them when the other bands are playing. My ears used to ring at the end of the night. They don’t anymore.

  F– make FRIENDS. Everything is a little bit easier when you make friends. That sketchy promoter isn’t going to want to short you on money if he likes you. That bartender may let you upgrade to a non-well drink for your drink ticket if he likes you. Hang out in the venue and talk to the people that are there. You just may make a friend you can hang out with the next time you come to town.

  G– GOLD BOND. If you know, you know.

  H– sign up for HOTELS.COM. If you book 10 hotels, you get the 11th for free. #NoBrainer

  I– ILLNESS is almost unavoidable if you’re on a long tour. And being in an enclosed space for long periods of time with a sick person means you’re going to get sick too. Take multivitamins, drink tea, take DayQuil, and try to eat healthier. Are we getting less and less punk rock with each paragraph?

J– Flying J truck stops are a guaranteed clean bathroom. #NoBrainer.

  K– KLEENEX. Traveling a lot means being in a whole bunch of different atmospheres every day. This can destroy your allergies. We keep a box of tissues in the van and use them often.

  L– utilize a packing LIST. Did you get an hour out of town on the way to your next destination and realize you left your backpack at the Super 8? Now you have to turn back and hope to god no-one stole it. Left your backup guitar in Jacksonville and now you’re in Pittsburgh? Good luck getting the promoter to ship it to you! We have a packing list in the van and we check it every night. OK now I know we’re getting less punk rock.

  M– bring your own MICS. Not because you’re a douche nozzle with a golden voice that has to sound them exact same way every time. Why? Because, how many lips do you think have touched that mic? Thousands? When was the last time that mic was cleaned? Do you think it has ever been cleaned? This is another thing that Agent Orange taught us. Bring your own mics and wash your hands frequently, and the tendency to get sick is much less.

  N– get a case of Cup O’ NOODLES. Picture this: you had a late load in, the bar you’re playing only has snacks and is in an area where there are no restaurants around. You finish playing the show, load out, and it’s 2:30 in the morning. Nothing is open. You’re screwed. Have no fear! Grab your Cup O’ Noodles, ask the person who’s couch you’re sleeping on if you can use their microwave, and you got a full stomach baby!

  O– OLIVE GARDEN. Unlimited soup, salad, and breadsticks. $11.49. #NoBrainer

  P– PODCASTS are a great way to stay entertained on the road. Some of our favorites: Sword And Scale, The Jasta Show, The Ex Man with Doc Coyle, vintage Loveline shows, and The Joe Rogan Experience

  Q– seriously QUIT drinking so damn much! We’ve seen too many of our friends quite literally drink themselves to death.

  R– ROLL with the punches. Being flexible is an extremely important thing to remember. So many unexpected things happen out on the road. Blown tires, people vomiting on your van, people pissing on your van, the stage being the size of a postage stamp, hotel bedbugs, having to replace your engine, the venue making you pay for water…. all these things have happened to us and then some. Try your absolute hardest to roll with it and keep a positive attitude. You might go crazy, otherwise.

  S– SELL the crap out of your merchandise! Have good looking shirt designs on soft shirts, and a variety of different items to choose from. This is a very very very important part of how you make money. Don’t just throw up a Gildan shirt with your band name on it, a burned CD, and a few stickers. Take pride in the merchandise you sell, put time and effort into it, and get your butt back there behind the merch table!! Do all this and I promise you it will pay off.

  T– get some TRAFFIC CONES. Found the perfect parking spot right in front of the venue? Wanna go get some dinner but wanna keep your spot? Traffic cones.

  U– be UNDERSTANDING towards your bandmates. If your bass player gets anxious in traffic, don’t make him drive during rush hour. If your drummer is a hot head, don’t make him handle the money. If your singer hates pop country, don’t play Florida Georgia Line in the van. If you’re the only smoker in the band, definitely don’t blast a bunch of cigs in the van! Know everyone’s buttons and don’t push them. Trust me, it will make things less stressful.

  V– VAN MAINTENANCE is key. Our running joke in In The Whale is that the van is the highest paid member of the band. This is still true to this day. Keeping your van in working order is absolutely imperative. Being plagued by van troubles is possibly the most frustrating thing about touring. If you have to take a little less payout to get the tires rotated and the oil changed, for gods sake do it! And get the high mileage oil!

  W– WATER. Drink it. A lot of it. Buy a case and put it in the van.

  X– bring XTRA socks and underwear. Especially if you’re touring in the summer. We are sweaty boys. Do I need to elaborate?

  Y– YOLO! Don’t forget that you do this because you love it! Touring is hard and stressful, but you experience so many different things and meet so many amazing people. You get to travel around and rock faces across the country. How awesome is that!?

  Z– ZIGZAGS are a great promotional tool at festivals. Buy a bunch of rolling papers, write your band name and set time on it, and pass them out. Boom! You’ve got a flyer that won’t get thrown away.
