Gayest Character Tournament: Semi Finals results are in!

That Nami and Buggy faced off on this side of the tournament, was not a very big surprise, as the two of them had the most submission votes from side A. However, not even Buggy could beat the lesbian icon that is Nami. She moves on to the finale with flying colors! Nami 64.8% - Buggy 35.2%

However, the battle on the other side was a little more surprising, as Bon Clay originally only had 5 submission votes. He already beat Ace (who had 7), and now he even beat Zoro (who had 12 submission votes)! Be it with only a small lead, as Zoro voters tried their best to make him win, but he just couldn't beat the gay vibe Bon Clay has going. Zoro 46.8% - Bon Clay 53.2%

So, the final battle will be between Nami and Bon Clay, to decide who is the very gayest character in One Piece!

However, I'd like to present a first, second, and third place at the end, so we'll also hold a 'losers battle', where Zoro and Buggy fight for third place.

Bracket will be updated later today, the losers battle will go up tomorrow, and the final battle will go up as soon as the losers battle has finished!

Campaign to make The God of Arepo an award winning work and win a literal brick as a trophy for the authors and for Tumblr community as a whole (SUCCEEDED!!!! Update below)

As the artist for one of The God of Arepo comics, my version is up for consideration for the Ignatz Awards for Outstanding Online Comic.

For those of you who don't know the Ignatz is one of the highest industry awards that "recognize outstanding achievements in comics and cartooning by small press creators or creator-owned projects published by larger publishers".

The thing is, winning the award means winning an actual literal brick. Because the mascot is a brick-throwing mouse. So they have to make a bit where the trophy is a brick. Like. Look.

For a long time I thought it was just plain bricks they were handing out, but my friend who won a couple of bricks two years ago had theirs stamped (I saw the bricks in person at their house). So now I am obsessed with the idea of The God of Arepo winning an Ignatz trophy. It will have the honours stamped. On a freaking brick. That's the most Tumblr level meme trophy this comic/story could win (which is also a legit high honour industry award on its own btw don't get me wrong). But wilder than that, the brick allows me to do something. It allows me to smash that break into 5 pieces and ship one of each to the authors plus myself. Writing Prompts, sadoeuphemist, ciiriianan, stu-pot and me will get a piece of clay in recognition for our work with the farmer who built a temple out of stone. The full circle moment.

Imagine the value of this win to the lore of this Tumblr sacred text/folklore. This brick will be smashed and given to the creators, but as a collective folklore, it's also dedicated to all of us on this hellsite too. AWARD WINNING. If The God of Arepo wins I will document the entire process of smashing that brick here.

But we have to make this happen. We need to gather our collective energy and make this campaign work. Please help make The God of Arepo an award-winning story and vote for it in the Outstanding Online Comic category (link). You will need to request a ballot, then submit your vote. ALSO what actually surprised me was that bobby challenged clay for the presidency??? i didn’t expect that honestly not w bobby maybe w jax at some point but damn did that make him mad omfg my man was literally so irritated for half the episode bc of that 

bc the fact that they’ve only been transporting drugs for two weeks (!) and that much happened already....yikes and clay still wants them involved even when he himself was like this is crazy!!

im actually kinda glad that vote didn’t make it through bc their place got shot up (yeah) but i’m highly curious how it would have ended but idk that was awesome tbh

I'm honestly as surpised as you are, prev. While I'm kind of whatever about Clay personally, I know a LOT of people really like him. I thought he'd take the lead, for sure.

Robbie: Hunter's friend who he greets in the halls and confides in after his fight with Kevin.

Clay Moss: The lead singer & guitarist of Mollycoddle who asks Kevin to fill in for Ray at his sister's wedding.

Ray: You know Ray. He's drummer from Mollycoddle. Anyway, he's...a good guy. He's in rehab with Hunter.

Troy Nix: One of Hunter's metal-musician idols who now works at Safe Passage Wellness Center. Aka rehab.

Alan Sylvester: Hunter's father. Alcoholic, divorcee, and plastic surgeon. (And ofc father of the year /s)

Skip Hoffman: Local jock and bully to Kevin & Hunter. Part time car defiler.

Kendall: Prospective love interest to Kevin. The girl Kevin talked to at Clay's party and made out with in the hot-tub.

Bass Guy: The only person who did what Satan would do and came to bass tryouts. He is legit just credited as bass guy.

Dean Swanson: The dean of Glenwood Lake High who Hunter asks if his post-death metal band can join the Battle Of The Bands.

Earl: Kevin's little brother who thinks drums are dumb.
