Personality:

At first glance, Vic comes across as reserved and ordinary, maintaining cordial relationships without actively seeking friendships. However, once she grows close to someone, her brighter, more playful side shines through—she’s witty, bantering, and a bit tomboyish. She dislikes feeling restricted and tends to rebel against rules she finds unfair or unreasonable. While she firmly denies being a "mom friend," (she repulses the thought even) her actions often tell a different story. She’s fiercely loyal, quietly looking out for her friends and always stepping in to support them when they’re in need, even if she doesn’t admit it outright.

Though Vic sometimes comes across as naive or a bit of an airhead, it’s often by design—she purposefully plays the fool, keeping others guessing about her true thoughts and intentions. Why does she do this? Well… whatever the reason, there’s more to her than meets the eye.

Backstory:

Vic was once a naive, pure-hearted child, eager to please and willing to follow anyone’s whims. That all changed after a traumatic incident during a school trip to the woods. A classmate told her, “Wait right here and don’t move. I’ll be right back.” Obediently, she stayed put, unnoticed by her teachers or classmates. Hours passed as she waited, terrified and alone, until she was finally found by school staff after her mother reported her missing. This event left a deep scar on Vic, and the phrase “I’ll be right back” still triggers a wave of unease in her. Afterward, her submissive tendencies only worsened. She believed that by doing everything people asked, she’d be liked and accepted, avoiding the risk of being abandoned or badmouthed. Throughout middle school, this behavior made her an easy target for manipulation and psychological abuse. By her final years of high school, something within her snapped. The years of mistreatment awakened a rebellious, sharp-edged side. Vic stopped letting people walk all over her, becoming grumpier, colder, and more distrustful. She built a fortress around her true emotions, frequently lying or feigning indifference to protect herself. Though she hated the version of herself her pain had created, she learned to survive in her own way.

After graduating, Vic celebrated the end of that painful chapter in her life and vowed to reinvent herself. But just three days later, her plans were upended when she was hit by a mysterious carriage.

After the events of the prologue and her enrollment at NRC alongside Grim, Vic was struck by the mortifying realization that she’d have to relive high school all over again. Adding insult to injury, she remembered that, at the time she was hit by the mysterious carriage, she had been on her way to celebrate her graduation with an açaí smoothie—a treat she never got to enjoy. To this day, she can’t help but lament the smoothie that never was.

Notable relationships:

Jack Howl 🐺

At first, Vic was intimidated by Jack, fearing he’d be as condescending and judgmental as her classmates from middle school. However, once she got to know him, his caring and loyal nature quickly won her trust. Because of her magicless status and petite stature, Jack’s protective instincts naturally kick in around her. He often escorts her across campus, which leads to them spending more time together and growing closer.

Vic admires Jack’s honesty and strong sense of justice—qualities she found rare during her school days. His loyalty and protective behavior deeply touch her, even when he tries to hide it behind his tsundere demeanor (which she secretly finds adorable). Around Jack, Vic feels safe in a way she hasn’t before.

As their bond deepens, they begin to pine for each other, turning what should be simple interactions into painfully awkward moments. Jack’s straightforward and genuine nature makes Vic’s carefully constructed mask of aloofness crumble in his presence, leaving her vulnerable and overwhelmed by her emotions. Her feelings for him force her to confront her fears and insecurities, often leaving her shaken.

Initially, Vic and Leona barely interacted. He seemed indifferent to her presence and quietly appreciated that she didn’t nag him or try to change his lazy ways. However, her frequent visits to Savanaclaw piqued his curiosity, and he couldn’t help but wonder if she was some kind of thrill-seeker. Her seemingly fragile, harmless appearance contrasted sharply with the boldness it took to linger in a dorm full of beastmen, leading him to nickname her “little mouse.”

Vic usually treats Leona with sweetness, but he sees right through her doe-eyed facade. Her true motives remain a mystery to him, and that intrigue makes him determined to unravel her secrets. To that end, Leona enjoys teasing and flustering her, just to watch her carefully constructed mask crack.

Leona is also keenly aware of Vic and Jack’s feelings for each other, which he finds highly entertaining. He takes great pleasure in cockblocking taunting them about it, using his sharp wit to nudge them closer to confronting their emotions. His teasing is particularly merciless with Jack, often warning him with sly remarks like, “You’d better keep a close eye on your prey, or she might just wander into the lion’s den.” What exactly does he mean by that? Who knows…

Ace Trappola ❤️ and Deuce Spade ♠️:

Vic’s first friends at NRC, Ace and Deuce quickly became two of her closest companions. The trio spends much of their time hanging out and bantering, creating a dynamic full of playful teasing. Her provocations often escalate with Ace, leading to occasional spats, though they’re always quick to reconcile.

With Deuce, Vic adopts a softer, almost sisterly demeanor, though she doesn’t hold back from teasing him—just not as intensely as she does with Ace. Around them, Vic maintains her cool, tomboyish exterior but will sometimes show emotional vulnerability when she needs comfort or support. Ace, however, never misses a chance to mercilessly tease her about her crush on Jack, much to her frustration (and embarrassment).

Idia Shroud💀:

Vic and Idia became friends through the Board Game Club, bonding over their shared interests and similarities. During club activities, they often team up to gently? bully and bicker with Azul, much to their mutual amusement. While Vic enjoys their camaraderie, their interactions mostly happen through DMs, as Idia’s shut-in nature makes face-to-face meetings rare—despite her frequent insistence that they hang out more in person.

Idia has developed a crush on her, which makes him even more hesitant to meet up outside of the club. He’s painfully aware (and secretly salty) about her preference for the athletic types in Savanaclaw, which makes his hopes—if he had any—practically nonexistent. For now, he keeps his feelings to himself, hoping to drown them. Vic, ever the supportive friend, often encourages him and occasionally flirts or gets touchy to tease him, delighting in his flustered reactions. Is she aware of his feelings? Who can say...

Azul Ashengrotto 🐙:

Vic initially had a strong dislike for Azul, finding his sweet-talking, calculating nature, and tendency to demand repayment for even the smallest favors uncomfortably reminiscent of her old classmates. She was openly hostile toward him, often meeting his charm with sharp-tongued, vulgar retorts. Yet, Azul remained undeterred.

Over time, as they spent more moments together in the Board Game Club, their constant bickering and competitive banter began to grow on her, almost without her noticing. She realized Azul was more "relaxed" during club activities, which made him easier to talk to. Vic now views him as a sort of rival, someone who challenges her wit and strategies, though neither likes to show vulnerability or weakness around the other.

If asked whether they’re friends, Vic will promptly deny it with a firm “no,” while Azul confidently responds with a smug “yes.” Despite their clashing personalities and opposing morals, they quietly look out for each other in their own way—remembering birthdays, exchanging souvenirs, and occasionally offering subtle gestures of support. Deep down, Vic knows Azul is an important friend, but she’d rather swallow a rock than admit it. Tsuntsun

Jamil Viper 🐍:

Vic harbors a superficial, puppy-like crush on Jamil, idolizing him and finding everything he does impossibly cool or impressive. Jamil, however, doesn’t seem to return her affections—or trust her, for that matter. He usually cuts her off with polite but firm indifference, which only seems to intensify her fascination, much to his exasperation. To Jamil’s dismay, Vic sighs dreamily whenever he’s cold or sharp-tongued with her (masochist much??) but gets utterly confused and flustered when he shows any hint of worry or care for her.

While Jamil would never admit it, he doesn’t entirely dislike her attention. Her admiration strokes his ego, and perhaps—just perhaps—he’s considering how he might use it to his advantage... t this doesn't seem very healthy...

Rook Hunt 🏹:

Like most people, Vic initially felt uneasy around Rook’s overly flamboyant and romantic demeanor. She couldn’t understand his fascination with her or his flowery praise, often responding to his compliments with pragmatic retorts or modest deflections. However, as time passed and she recognized the sincerity behind his words of encouragement, her wariness faded, and she began to trust him more.

Knowing it’s nearly impossible to keep secrets from Rook, Vic sometimes reluctantly vents her frustrations and insecurities to him. In turn, he offers thoughtful advice and unwavering emotional support. He nicknames her “Mademoiselle Fantôme” (ghost) and seems to see right through her composed exterior.

Like Leona, he’s aware there’s more to her than meets the eye and enjoys analyzing her hidden depths. Rook takes particular delight in evoking various reactions from Vic, describing her as a “kitten with hidden claws,” always intrigued by her blend of aloofness and fire.

Trivia:

While Vic appears tomboyish and sisterly with the first years, Jack is the exception. Around him, she’s notably sweeter and more bashful.

The more nervous or flustered she becomes, the higher-pitched (and more pathetic) her voice gets.

Vic used to be close with her older sister, a prosecutor. Her strong sense of justice and argumentative nature were heavily influenced by her sibling.

When heated, Vic becomes highly argumentative, delivering well-constructed, logical points to dismantle her opponent’s stance—a rare display of bold confidence.

Her dream is to become a detective/investigator.

Vic doesn’t get angry often, but when she does, it’s described as a “cold, merciless ire with sharp words that could make a grown man cry” (Ace’s words).

Though she’s a bit of a coward and dislikes confrontation, her quick thinking and improvisation often help her slip out of sticky situations. (Both Leona and Rook take notes on her sharp survival instinct.)

Despite her unassuming appearance, Vic has surprising leg strength and flexibility from self-defense classes she took as a child. She claims she’s rusty and fell out of practice for the most part, but her kicks prove otherwise.

Her birthday (February 4) is the same as Cater’s, so their celebrations are often combined in Heartslabyul. Cater affectionately calls her his “twinsie” and refers to her as “cute lil sis.”

Floyd nicknames her “Axolotl” and teases her relentlessly about her height. He especially enjoys being overly touchy with her in Jack’s presence.

Vic occasionally treats herself to Mostro Lounge visits to gossip with Jade, often about Azul’s defeats in the board game club. Jade uses this intel to tease and blackmail Azul later.

The Light Music Club adores pampering her and repeatedly begs her to join as a singer, but she always flusteredly declines.

Like Ace, Vic can be mischievous and a bit greedy. She shamelessly accepts Kalim’s generous offers of money (though she hopes Jack doesn’t find out...)

Vil intimidates her to no end with his sharp gaze, but she secretly admires him and dreams of having him give her a makeover someday. Rook frequently (and gleefully) tries to push her to approach Vil, much to her horror.

Malleus believes they are closer friends than they actually are, often due to misinterpreting her words and actions. Vic, too kind or maybe scared to correct him, finds herself roped into his gargoyle monologues during their awkward little outings.

i have rotated this damn mini au in my head so many times. the comedy to be found in eridan being mettaton AND the royal scientist (and half-assedly pretending not to be) at the same time while sollux is stuck being an assistant/maintenance worker/public-facing royal scientist is so silly to me <3 anyways heres key notes on the au under a read more lol

eridan immediately shows off his walking around form to MSPA reader (who is obviously the best choice to be in the frisk role in an undertale au lets be real here) BEFORE the trivia show. sollux is also way more subtle about giving the right answers away, but still fucks up by pointing out a trick question, leading to the crush question

eridan's answers for "who does sol have a crush on" are aradia, feferi, karkat, and equius. this leads to bickering, mainly spurred by sollux being dumbfounded that eridan would put equius as an option out of all fourth options. MSPA reader, after listening to them yapping at each other for long enough, can get the option to pick eridan over the other options instead, leading to eridan flusteredly turning back to his little flying box form and comically floating away into the rafters. otherwise, the trivia battle ends on eridan trying to make fun of sollux and sollux complaining that everyone around him is stupid and cant read emotions lol

the rest of the hotland route is pretty unplanned; sollux probably minds his business, doesnt add you to his social media, and is blunt when having to direct you through the puzzles. he has no issues about being liked like alphys does hes is Just There he is Chilling. if you pick eridan in the trivia battle theres bonus dialogue sollux brings up about eridan + they probably get a "yeah i give a shit about you i guess, whatever, shut up" level of a confession scene after eridan's battle lol

not getting into all the ELABORATE thoughts i have on how the geno route would go but listen. look at the design i gave eridan. you know hes going down in one hit with a well placed shattering of the glass stomach as a homage to his canon death LOL

The clattering of chips rang a little uncomfortably in his ears, but Max would be remiss to not acknowledge that that wasn't always a bad thing with him.

Besides, he wasn't going to be pushed out of the pot just yet - regardless of what Tycho thought.

Above everything else, the Heavy's quiet tut and unconvinced glance down at the flop, and Strong Bad's low "Ohh-kayyy..." pumped full of uncertainty, Max was playing for one thing - the poker princess leaning on the table looking like a meal and dessert beside him being his greatest motivation right now.

"If I know my little buddy, he can pull a miracle out of anything," Sam reassured him, all sweet and deep even if he knew deep down Max was holding out for something wildly not in his favor.

The deck was taken into Tycho's hands so he could deal the turn, though it didn't come with some thoughts of his own: "And lemme guess, eye candy: that "anything" is none of my damn business?"

Where Sam had made an amused snort, Max felt his expression stiffen and his mouth pull into a grimace. Eye candy?

The turn ended up being a 6 of hearts.

Sam sure as hell was - Max threw half of his chips in with an angry fist - and part of himself was complimented, knowing what a dime his puppy was - Tycho actually called him, the prick - and it wasn't like him and Sam didn't normally like the attention they got - and now the river was a 6 of diamonds - because God knows that there's a bit of ego boosting in having a total babe on your hip-

"All in."

Strong Bad immediately whistled, and Tycho, much to Max's delight, looked utterly bemused. The quiet and pensive hum Sam had made was all the lagomorph was playing for at this point - and maybe a good dose of shoving it in Tycho's face.

And just like he figured, Tycho called him with a sense of strangely-confident confusion because what could Max possibly have, right?

Cards face up, Max.

Tycho's hand was a pair of kings made with his hole cards and the flop; Max's hand was three of a kind sixes made with his hole cards, the turn, and the river.

"You're fucking kidding me."

Max's laughter was loud and his holding out on a dream never tasted so sweet - besides maybe the enthused "Suck on runner runner!" Sam had remarked in the wake of his winnings.

Eye candy.

Taking Sam's hand into his, he kissed his knuckles, and thereafter the man had rested his hand on top of Max's shoulder.

Yeah, he knows.

Brock's wrist twisted gently, stirring the contents of his whiskey on the rocks - contemplative and unexpectedly hesitant. The flop was a jack of spades, a 9 of hearts, and a 10 of hearts; the turn was a 5 of hearts. "What'd'ya got? If it's another case a' hole pocket rockets, I'm gonna' make a case t' skip past you bein' dealer the rest of the tourney."

Against his better judgement, eyes narrowing as he studied the flop as if it would change with enough willpower, Brock bet a healthy sum. The decision, however, came with a sigh.

"'Pocket Rocket' is my second favorite thing t' call Sam on a Friday night; right after 'Good b-'"

Sam was quick to shut Max up with a call being thrown towards the main pot - Ash and his sentient arm had long since gone all in with what little he had left. That chattering, snorty laugh Max had made upon the man's sudden bravado was profit enough for him tonight; not that he'd say no to being a couple thousand dollars up and a victory pampering; though, Max could probably benefit from making his staring into his unbuttoned collar less overt.

Willing himself to not smile, puffing at his cigar - it sure wasn't a Regius Double Corona, but it got the job done enough - Sam grabbed the deck again and put out the river: a two of diamonds.

The man across from him was a hell of a guy to read. His hand, fingertips holding the rim of his glass, swirling the melting ice and liquor, was about his only read besides maybe his strong brow. Despite it all, unfortunately.

Brock was slower to toss a bet in this round. That was all Sam needed.

One self-assured call later, and Sam was working with a jack high heart flush: his hole cards were a 2 and jack of hearts. Brock worked with a 10 of spades and a 5 of diamonds, making two pair.

The frustration when the man knocked back the rest of his whiskey was palpable - and so were the chips underneath Max's hand being corralled his way.

"That's an extra treat for you tonight, big girl," was the praise of choice coming out of Max's mouth, and for some reason Sam didn't mind the publicity of it all too much right now.

WELL. it's good at the beginning until they get married, i think.

their friendship starts distant, and there's a lot of mutual respect going on there. she's not a chatty person, and he isn't as well so that works. violet trusts him, and she doesn't trust easily. but boone never gave her a reason to not trust her. as someone who has lost a fiancé who has once a ncr soldier and fought at the first battle of hoover dam, she can understand boone better than someone who isn't experienced with the ncr does. he also lost carla, and the grief is something that she also relates to. she KNOWS so well how much it can change someone to lose the light of their life, because she herself was affected by her fiancé's death. just like boone, violet is stoic during fnv, doesn't smile or laugh much. the bullets messed that further. the thing about being shot and waking up alive, was that she was disappointed. violet did expect to die, and to join her fiancé, her father she lost, probably her mom too. just like boone, violet thought she was being punished for all she has done, both driven by a duty that made them hurt other people.

violet warms up eventually, though. veronica, arcade, lily, all of those people make her smile a bit more often. she is comfortable with boone's presence, a rare thing. the only place she feels comfortable is at home, in new reno, or alone. when they start talking and opening up more, they see how much alike they are, and it builds that bond of trust not only in a fight but personally as well. boone starts to like her, notice her more, and she does the same, but that's still friendship. they did overtime started to have some lingering looks and touches on each other, some butterflies in their bellies, smiles over simple stuff the other did, but as long as both saw it: "hey! we're such good friends"

at his personal quest, she was brutally honest with him. he could improve, learn from everything that has happened, and just move on. but he also needed to accept that war never changes, and whether he killed those people or not, doesn't change that someone else would. she also suggested that he should drop his past as part of the ncr, in which he sorta did. boone listened to her because he respected violet, plus she wasn't rude about it. he could find his happiness elsewhere.

post fnv vegas is now the ncr's and violet took over the lucky 38 and securitrons (she's actually experienced with robots and pre-war stuff). so she expanded her family business and got responsible for the vegas branch. she offered the job for boone to work as her "bodyguard" and she'd pay him, more than he could ever make in the ncr.

idk i haven't elaborated much to how their relationship starts, but violet had something with the king🕺 beforehand. she obviously drops it to be with boone the moment she realizes that she's actually in love with him, not with dear king (not like it was a romantic relationship anyway! it was mostly intimate, maybe some dates. ummm. unlabeled.)

their marriage happened in 2282 too though lmao because i know those two had such a good amount of trust and companionship that they knew it was for life, as scary as it was after everything both had been through. they had three children across the years heh. two girls, one boy.

i think all is fine but like i said, violet tends to manipulate without realizing. boone has different values than she does, so i don't think the thought of "crime family" was something he'd embrace at first, with her being an underboss and all. but love is one hell of a thing. her view of her own family is beautiful when she speaks, and he could see the loyalty they had, the idea of not being so violent (publicly) and always caring for presenting themselves as respectable fellas. but her family ISN'T fully good, which naturally extends to her. she was a charmer, had that silver tongue, could do it without an effort. and it slipped through his mind.

so eventually he actually thought her fam wasn't that bad, and while he worked for her, violet took him to more tasks. she was making him a lieutenant of the family discreetly, and no, she didn't notice much. anyway so flaws come and she's very business focused, doesn't always have time for her children (though she's a loving mother). boone starts to see that she's ruthless when she had to be, the kind of business and deals she works with, that everything she does no matter how good it may seem does has a hidden intention. not the same woman in the wasteland because business is her main domain, and that's a different beast. violet is a woman who's DEEP into family legacy, family business, making it work. and she loses herself in it often. good thing he was around her almost all the time, though. but their marriage had much problems because of all of that, maybe he was a bit unhappy at times, but he loved her and their children a lot.

don't get me wrong, violet cares and loves for him, but that's how she is. flawed, difficult. she's capable of genuine love, genuine actions, and she does it, of course. she did it for him, for many others. but her mind is "this is good for family reputation" naturally at almost everything she does since she's a child, because that's something her family LIVES FOR. an honorable member of her family is good, and they must follow that one rule: be honorable and never disgrace the family.

violet always wanted to be like her father, and she grew up as his perfect girl, even if he died when she was a kid. i could even dare to say her parents marriage and her own are similar: father and daughter who work too hard in the name of making sure your family are well taken care of, have issues with their partner, and sometimes are bad parents. all in hopes they'll be fine in life when they die, but focus so much on the future that they about the present.

aside from all of that, still a lot of companionship, comfort, a love that endures despite how hard it may seem at times. i guess i haven't elaborated much as detailed as i do anything else but yeah. that's how their relationship is like ❤️

I find it really funny how the horny art people have been drawing of Sunday seems to have done a complete 180 since his release.
