$20 10 year old t shirt from hot topic that is still completely intact with the only visible aging being that the graphic is no longer as vibrant as it used to be.
vs
$35 1 year old polo shirt from banana republic I bought for work that already has strings falling out.
#I think the t shirt was printed with sublimation as the print is like actually part of the fabric#and it has a gradient#I have been wearing this stupid shirt weekly since I got it why is this dumb $20 deadmau5 shirt from middle school the highest quality item#I have ever purchased. what magic did they use. why is everything worse now.#both are 100% cotton if that means anythin#every single t shirt I wear to sleep is some shit I’ve had since middle school and haven’t needed to replace cause they’re indestructible#meanwhile everything I’ve bought for work is falling apart#so cool how everything is more expensive but worse now

Okay so I got a few for that ask thing: flower/plant? Makeup item? Fashion icon? Guilty pleasure music?
oh shit
Flower / Plant: I'm basic and I just love me some ferns!! one of my favorite things about being in the PNW was just ferns, ferns everywhere. Ferns didn't really grow that much in the Chicago suburbs where I grew up but I remember, somehow, under the bushes on the front of my childhood home, little ferns would always grow there, and I would take pains to not mow them on accident when I would mow the lawn. It was like a little special place, dark but not too dark, wet but not too wet, that they could grow, and they still make me really happy. love the little guys.
Makeup Item: If we're going just category of thing, it's black eyeshadow. I don't think I've ever done an eye makeup look that doesn't include black eyeshadow, and with just that and some brushes you can do a great smokey eye, nothing else required. if I can be a Capitalist Shill for a second, it's UD's eye primer potion. It has spoiled me to the point that if I try to do eyeshadow without using it first, it feels totally messed up and weird. Just magic stuff honestly, especially for someone like me with really deep-set eyes and a big problem with getting creases in my eyeshadow because of that.
Fashion Icon: uhhhh fuck lol, it's hard to think of like. One person? I can think of designers or general "styles", like. I LOVE Alexander McQueen's work, it's so striking and dramatic, and his label when it was under his direction almost never missed. Other than that in more of the Icon vein uhhh Charli XCX, Josefine Jonsson's latex photography (have multiple prints from her in my house lol), everything J. Lo wears in The Cell, Razor Candi, the entire cast of Alien 3, the things Killstar puts out that aren't dumb as hell, uh. honestly Jean Hollywood's whole ~techwear femboy~ look is so good rn too. like,
that's a vibe.
Guilty Pleasure Music: Ok I'm gonna have a fun answer and a not fun answer. Let's go not fun first and end with a pick me up: my not fun answer is music made by legit horrible people. Red House Painters, Throbbing Gristle (i go back and forth on this a LOT, as Genesis doesn't deserve to taint the work everyone else did in that, but. yeah. idk. moving on!), the album Suicidal Emotions by Abyssic Hate, which is some of the best DSBM I've ever heard, and has nothing to do with NSBM, but I found out years after falling in love with just that one album that his earlier stuff is straight up Nazi shit. That's the stuff I actually feel guilty about a bit listening to.
Here's the more fun answer!: Bro metal. I mean that less as a genre category and more of a Type of Guy category, like the Hot Couch Guy. Bro metal is like, Lamb of God, Tool, Slayer, Nile. I can't explain any better than that, it's a vibe, like, the kind of guy who has a shaved head and would get mad at girls being at Ozzfest kind of guy. All he owns are long sleeve metal t-shirts. That guy. I fuck with that hard.
Bonus answer: Robbin' the Hood by Sublime. I cannot fucking stand their other two albums, but Robbin' the Hood is such a messy, barely coherent garbage can of a record that I really, really like it. Like, hey, let's throw half-assed dub versions of random songs together with samples of a mentally ill homeless guy we know and covers of songs we half-remember into a kind of ska punk sound collage...thing. really weird, which is why i can get down with it.

How to get dye stains out of clothes? Or how to set leaky dye?
So I had kind of forgotten about this ask (Sorry anon!!) and then I ran into this tutorial someone did in pre-2014, which links to this now-dead page on the EGL livejournal (thank you, Wayback Machine) I haven't tried this, but their pictures look pretty good. They have some basic scientific confusion about how vinegar and salt and heat impact different dyes and fabrics, but that's textile science stuff and you don't have to understand that to be able to remove stains. It looks like their results are good, and I don't think that spot-treating dye bleed will hurt a print as long as you're not scrubbing across the entire print.
How we handle fugitive dye in *dramatic pause* THE THEATRE! is that we either wash it until the dye doesn't come off anymore (which may or may not change the color of the piece) or just not wash it at all. Neither of these are particularly practical for actual daily lolita, since we care if our clothes fade and we also care if our clothes get washed.
If you really want to get any extra leaking dye out, and that is the single most important factor, you want to go for Synthrapol (or Dharma Professional Textile Detergent, which is almost the same, but cheaper and safer). This stuff is designed to keep loose dye particles that didn't bind with the fabric in suspension, so that they don't settle down and bind onto the light or white parts of your garment. If you wash something with this, it will not bleed ever again. If you have a blouse or a coat that is all one color, and you want the dye to stop bleeding onto other garments that touch it, this might be what you want. If you have a print that is leaking one color onto another part of the print, this will solve that, too.
The bad thing about that is that, if the majority of the color of your piece was from dye that hadn't properly bonded onto the fiber, you can end up with a piece that's faded once you've washed it. Check to see if the piece is prone to fading, or if it's just prone to bleeding and running. I worked a show where the characters all wore hand-painted t-shirts (done by a local artist) where all the colors were incredibly fugitive. We would not have been able to wash the shirts even once without ruining the art on them, so we had to clean them with costume spray and spot-cleaning the armpits. To facilitate that, every actor wore undershirts, the armpits has pit-guards basted into them, and the shirts never went out into the world to be touched by non-theatrical dirt. There originally was a plan to auction the shirts off at the end of the run of the show, but we had to have a sit-down with the artist, the producers, the marketing team, and twelve never-washed shirts. With the artist's blessing, we synthrapol'd those fuckers, and they were pretty faded when we were done, but they still auctioned for a decent price. Obviously, "don't ever wash it" is not an option that really exists offstage (and barely exists onstage), but armpit guards do a lot.
If you want to look into it, you can check out what things fix dye onto what fibers. Fiber reactive dyes, sublimation dyes, acid dyes, protein dyes, bleaches, other kinds of dyed i'm not thinking about right now, all of them are activated by different things and are deactivated and set by different things. What sets a dye in cotton won't necessarily set a dye in polyester.
You can do a lot of research at home by finding an innocuous spot on the piece (I love the buttonhole end of waist ties for this) and use a wet cotton ball on it to see if dye transfers. If the dye transfers, you can let the dye intentionally bleed and then use textile detergent to remove the bleeding. After that, you can compare the color of one waist tie buttonhole to the un-abused end, and see if you can notice a difference. Button-on waist ties are just the greatest for this kind of experimentation. I just love them.
Wow, that was long, but if anyone else has advice, please leave it in the notes!

Less than whole - part 1
Hey, so I wrote a Thing once (long time ago) and only lately felt the urge to continue it! It’s about War having disability fueled angst...of sorts.
Your head darted up. He was still leaning over you, blush slowly seeping away from his face, that silver hair in glorious disarray. One strand flew across his scrunched forehead and fell over the wide straight unhappy line that was his mouth. Right now War looked like a pouty child, stifling the urge to cry.
His hands - those instruments of delight, the bringers of carnage – pressed into the table on both of your sides.
„I wish I wasn’t like that”, he said softly. „I wish I didn’t hurt you all the time.”
„Hey, as I said, not really a problem!” You chirped. „Besides, there’s not much we can do about it. I mean, you’re a big, strong Nephilim with a badass metal arm. And I’m just...me!”
War stiffened. „Strong”, he said, his voice hollow.
„That was all I used to care about. And this arm, too…” You watched him slowly flex the fingers of the enormous gauntlet as if he’d seen it for the first time. Pointy metal scraped on wood.
You never asked what magic bounds to the owner’s will. It was an instrument of bloodbath, that’s for sure. Designed to maim and crush and kill, not to give affection in any form.
But all the same - it was his prosthetics. A crutch he needed to move seamlessly through the world. You’d never ask the man you loved to take it off just for your comfort.
Chapter 1: Marks
Everyone has depths to them. But some people are expressive enough that their presence can be evoked with a well-chosen word. Just one arrow, which plunges right into the very centre of the dartboard of your tender memory, producing an unmistakable „boing!”
For Death, such a word would be snarky. For Strife, it’s mercurial, for his spirit seems unable to settle. Only the change in mood is constant.
When it comes to War, the word is solid.
As in unswerving. Dependable. Resilient.
These are the terms you have at the back of your tongue whenever you think of the Red Rider.
Solid. That descriptor fits all of him well. His broad, stout physique which cuts a presence wherever he goes, making the bigger enemies nervous and the lesser of them shit their pants. His combat style, forgoing all the frills in favour of murderous efficiency. You’ve seen War kill things - living creatures - a few times now. It was a formidable spectacle. Of course, as a desk-working, mostly peaceful human being you don’t know shit about fighting, but even you can tell. The Big Guy not so much clashes with most of his foes...as he ploughs through them. Grinding bodies into innard jam.
Solid.
That's his personality, too, which looks deceptively simple on the surface. Many would call War „stuffy” or even „boring”. And they would be dead wrong. He saves most of his daily quota of facial expressions for you, that much is true. His speech patterns tend to be a bit sublime. But you’ve learned to enjoy that Shakespearean tilt he puts on his words.
This guy’s listening to you, and he’s learning. The more you two chat (and War has surprisingly much to say when his more outspoken brothers aren’t around) the less he acts like this supercilious, stone-faced warrior from beyond the edge of the world...and more like an actual boyfriend.
One of your boyfriends.
You’ve always considered War to be that one brother who has his shit together.
The one immune to inhibitions or deep-seated regrets, the kinds of which plague Death. Free from insecurities, forcing Strife to clown around when he'd rather be sulking. You care immensely about both of your twisted, haunted Horsemen. They took you in, no matter how fucked up you might’ve been yourself; held you in this collective, rock-hard firm Nephilim embrace. Sometimes literally.
You loved it there. But War’s straightforwardness felt refreshing. Whenever he wanted something - he’d just reach for it with his hands or with his words. Mostly both. He was perfectly able to take no for an answer - and at the same time, to not feel bad about his cravings.
A rare thing in a man.
You thought him to be someone knowing exactly his place in the world. Who takes well-deserved pride in both his actions and his looks. Not too much pride though; a sensible amount.
The truth turned out to be...complicated. As it usually is.
*
You were floating mid-air.
Well, not exactly. You were a good meter and a half above the floor; one leg dangling freely, subconsciously grasping for purchase and another coiled around War’s midsection. Both of your hands dug into the firm vastness that was his upper back. Your whole torso leaned into his, and there was a lot to lean into. You kept your eyes closed and took in that beguiling heat, radiating through the cotton of his well-worn T-shirt. Between that, the Red Rider’s musky scent and his hair, covering most of your face with a fluttering, silky curtain – you were lost for this world.
Understandable, since he was kissing you. Vehemently.
Your bodies couldn’t possibly get much closer and yet War attempted just that. One enormous hand pushed you further into his grip, pressing the air out of your lungs. The bones of your ribcage groaned in protest.
„Wait…” You broke contact, choked and gasped, letting go of his nape and trying to wiggle away from this crushing embrace.
„War. I can’t breathe!..”
His eyes flashed wide. The ironclad hold supporting you suddenly lost its power. You yelped - and wrapped both thighs around his waist in order not to slide off this mountain of a man.
That discomposed War even further. His wide silver eyebrows furrowed while he seized you again, this time by your thighs – this time carefully – and put your slightly startled ass on the kitchen table.
„Forgive me”, he breathed, leaning in, his voice low and delectably rough from all the kissing. It made your insides backflip. But then again, he did just almost jellify them. „I got carried away. Are you all right?”
You giggled breathlessly.
It was hard not to melt when asked like this, not under the tender scrutiny of his gaze. War had eyes like two bluish LED lamps. Still somehow managed to convey emotion through them.
„I’m fine”, you ensured, looking up into this picture of worry. „Really! You just kinda...squished the air outta me for a while there.”
War’s lips pursed. „I am sorry.”
„Don’t mention it, Big Guy.” You absentmindedly rubbed your still aching sides. They probably wore a print of ten enormous fingers. This is gonna leave some bruises, especially from his iron hand.
You never asked what magic bounds it to the owner’s will. It was an instrument of bloodbath, that’s for sure. Designed to maim and crush and kill, not to give affection in any form.
But all the same - it was his prosthetics. A crutch he needed to move seamlessly through the world. You’d never ask the man you loved to take it off just for your comfort.
War’s stare met yours. He looked so distraught.
„I leave marks on your flesh, don’t I.”
You managed a weak smile. As far as you were concerned, black-and-blue spots on your skin came with the territory.
„Yeah. They remind me of you when you’re away.”
War inhaled with a hiss and dug both of his hands into the wood of the table. It crunched dangerously.
It was so hot, having him overarch you, block the light with those linebacker shoulders. Oozing with warmth, with this robust scent which made you think wanton thoughts and with worry.
It hurt to see him worried.
„Darling.” You embraced him by the neck, stretching your whole upper body upwards, hauled his face down to yours and kissed him. Hard.
War’s silver eyelashes fluttered in surprise; they were so long, you could feel them brushing up and down your cheeks. And then he let go and opened to you, soft and wet and ardent. Even though there was no embrace this time. His palms stayed down as if glued to the table.
„Ahem. Guys.”
The Red Rider let go before you did. One moment your tongues were entwined and War’s tantalizing smell filled you up to your very hair roots, as you slid your hips closer to the table’s edge in a honest notion of grinding on that dick. The next – it was all over as your giant jerked back and the sun from the kitchen window poured on you mockingly. It wasn’t the only thing that was mocking.
„Strife.” War’s cheeks were flushed with red again, his voice low and guttural. Such a growl should scare the shit out of any living creature, aside from a few exceptions. His cheeky brother was one of them.
„Guys. Guys”, he said with a smile as obnoxious as it was wide. „I love you both, you know that. But the thing is, you’re in the way.”
You panted and snorted, flipping your disheveled hair in a failed attempt to regain some dignity.
„Between you and fucking what?”
„The fridge, dahling.” The spiky-haired one posed himself flamboyantly in the doorway, one hip cocked to the right, arm behind the head jutted in opposite direction, his long spine curved sideways as if he was a JoJo character. As conflicted as you were about this dumbass’ attitude, you had to admire his flexibility.
And his height. Even when wearing only boxers, some old wifebeater (which read ELMO on the front) and no shoes - he still remained the tallest.
„How long have you been standing there?” you spat.
„Long enough.” Another megawatt grin.
War emitted a low, threatening sound of a remarkably beastly disposition.
„Hey, don’t come at me, brother.” Strife raised one hand protectively. „I’ve been wrestling with my thoughts here, ya know? Wondering whether it is decent to break up such a lovely scene, and then you two started arguing or something and it was all the more awkward, but then I really, really need to get that milk.”
You taxed the sharpshooter with a keen gaze. Unkempt hair, deep shadows under his golden eyes, a pinched look which his uneven snarky grin didn’t quite cover. An air of general dishevelment.
What time was it, again? Ah, yes. Saturday morning. The day of the Reckoning.
„Hangover is a harsh mistress, huh?” You flung the fridge door open and grabbed the milk.
„Work hard, party hard. That’s my motto.” He stepped inside, took it from you, uncorked the jug, threw his head back and drank like a man who’d just traversed Sahara.
It took a while. You remained silent. War, who has crossed his arms - was dead silent, too. Strife slurped and gurgled.
After a minute or two of this, you started to wonder about the crazy-ass direction which your life has taken. You shared a common roof with four Nephilim, out of which two were your lovers, one was a good friend, and another one was...well, Strife.
To the best of his Strife-ability.
„Can’t you just take it and beat it?” you asked wearily. Whatever magic has weaved between you and War, it was as good as gone anyway.
„No need. I’ll go.” The Big Guy sighed, pushed himself away from the table and trod past his boxer-clad brother, who courteously stepped aside.
„War?...” Your voice might’ve trembled. Just a little.
„I’ll be upstairs. I need a bath.”
And like that – he was gone.
Well, not exactly. You and the pointy-haired one stood there in silence for quite some time, listening to the thud of War’s heavy footsteps.
You waited until they trailed off, snapped your head at Strife and spit out: „There is a word for what you’ve just done to your brother. And that word is...”
„Cockblocking, I know”, he cut you off leisurely while wiping his mouth with the back of his hand. „ Humans are so crafty. So skilled with your words.”
You inhaled sharply.
„We’re also skilled in the art of kicking someone in the shin, so don’t be surprised when it happens.”
„Hey”, Strife bent down and now his gleaming, taunting stare was definitely too close to your face. You felt as if attached to an electric current.
„Don’t go taking the strain in your relationships on me”, he said. „That’s so not cute.”
„Ugh! One day I’m just gonna kill you.”
He straightened back to his impressive length and flashed you a lovable smirk. „I’d love to see you try.”
„I mean it! I’ll find some way to make you miserable.”
Strife was already on his way out, gracefully placing the emptied milk bottle on the kitchen counter. „Anytime, princess.” He strutted out, giving his boxer-clad ass slightly more wiggle that necessary. You couldn’t unglue your eyes from it. „But seriously. Lookin’ forward to it!”

I just realized there are some asks left... The rest? 😉😄
Are you kidding me?!
Not what I meant when I said ‘ask me stuff I’m in the mood to answer questions’. 😂😂
1. The meaning behind my url:
I wanted S_Nebulosa or something but that was already taken… so I had to come up with something and somehow that’s how I came up with this. No deeper meaning.
3. How many tattoos I have and what they are:
One tattoo of 3 snowflakes.
5. Piercings I have:
I have pierced ears and that’s it.
7. Biggest turn offs:
When someone has a weird air/moves weird or something. Idk sometimes when I see someone I instantly know I dislike something about the way they move or hold themselves. It’s really vague and weird but it is what it is. Also being mean or rude. Cancelling stuff last minute for reasons like ‘also had plans with someone else’ because you could’ve just put stuff in your agenda and let me know before I was all hyped up and ready to meet… and chewing with an open mout.
9. Tattoos I want:
A star Katie drew but maybe with something else or made into a nice design or something.
11. Age:
23
13. Life goal:
Be happy, nice job, kid(s), spouse. Oh no! Have my parents come visit me instead of the other way around because I’m so independent and mature. That’s more attainable.
15. Relationship status:
Single
17. A fact about my life:
You’re assuming I actually have a life?
I have too many hobbies and I’m too attached to them to quit anything but it’s also getting in the way of stuff like uni…
19. Middle name:
Don’t have one
21. Are you a virgin?
I’m a cancer
23. What’s your sexual orientation?
I’ve given up labelling myself. Or maybe accepted that I don’t want to label myself. I don’t know. I just use (umbrella term) gay. Also something on the asexual spectrum probably.
25. Someone you miss:
I honestly don’t really miss anyone.
27. First celebrity you think of when someone says attractive:
First celebrity I think of when anyone says anything (positive) is Katie… what a surprise.
29. One insecurity:
Only one? I guess… my body
31. Have you ever taken a picture naked?
No
33. Have you ever kissed a member of the same sex?
Like, quick peck on the lips? Or actual kiss kiss? The latter; no. The former; yes. In a play for a scene. And my sister, mom and grandma probably.
35. Have you ever danced in front of your mirror?
Maybe when I was little but not as a teen or adult.
37. Have you ever been dumped?
No, that’s the benefit of never having had a relationship.
39. Have you ever gotten in a car with people you just met?
I don’t think I have.
41. Have you ever snuck out of your house?
No I didn’t really have anywhere to sneak off to and I wouldn’t dare anyway.
43. Have you ever been arrested?
No omg my mom would have me killed. (I know I’m an adult but my mom is still scary when she wants to.)
45. Have you ever met up with a member of the opposite sex somewhere?
Well, I do occasionally manage to have friends. So, yes. If this question is meant as in, like, a booty call or something; then no.
47. Have you ever had a crush on your neighbour?
No. I don’t really know my neighbours here and my parents’ neighbours are families with kids I used to babysit so that would’ve been very inappropriate and awkward. But thankfully I just didn’t seem to ‘do’ crushes until recently.
49. Have you ever slept in a bed with a member of the same sex?
Yes. Is this supposed to be scandalous (for straight people)? I used to sleep in my mom’s bed with her when my dad was away for business (alternating nights with my sister and sometimes on the last night if it was an odd number of nights we both got to sleep there). And my sister has a double bed and sometimes I ‘sleep over’ with her in her bed. And I’ve shared double air mattresses with friends before for sleepovers and once on a school trip where the boat back had broken or something so we were sent to a hotel that only had double beds…
51. Have you ever been on a plane?
Yes, multiple times.
53. Have you ever slept in until 3?
Probably not. That’s really late. Might’ve stayed in bed until 3 (or later) staring at the ceiling or spending time on my phone but I don’t think I ever managed to sleep until 3.
55. Have you ever laid on your back and watched cloud shapes go by?
I have.
57. Have you ever played dress up?
Yes, I used to love dressing up as a princess. We also have this (dumb, sorry, I’m opinionated) thing here where people dress up (not Halloween, we don’t celebrate that) in February or March. (It’s called carnaval.) In primary school we had to go dressed up on the Friday before.
59. Have you ever been lonely?
I’m a lot lonely and very often…
61. Have you ever been to a club?
Yes, I think so.
63. Have you ever touched a snake?
Maybe? Look at my memory failing me. Probably not because I think I’d have remembered and it would’ve freaked me out so much.
65. Have you ever been suspended from school?
No, goody two shoes, remember?
67. Have you ever been in a car accident?
Not a big one but on the way back from a holiday with friends some truck tried to merge into our lane by driving through our car. Didn’t work. Had some damage to the pain but mostly his own truck got damaged. Was a whole deal with the police and stuff and him not speaking any language any of us spoke… and I was a little shaken. But all ended well and insurance covered our damage. Or he did. I don’t know. It was my parents’ car. I handed them the papers we got from the police and they fixed it with insurance and stuff.
69. Have you ever witnessed a crime?
Omg yes when I was like a super tiny kid. Maybe 3 or 4. (Wait, is a crime different than an offence or something? Idc. I want to tell this story now.) I vividly remember it because I was sitting in the car while my mom was packing the groceries in the trunk and a man took a woman’s bag/purse and ran away. She started yelling at him and chasing him and it spooked him so much he dropped it. It made a huge impression on me even though I probably made it bigger in my mind than it actually was.
71. Have you ever been lost?
Yes, at summer camp we were lost once during a night scavenger hunt/walk/quest thingy. I don’t know the translation. And because of my sublime sense of direction I get lost all the time and thanks to modern technology find my way again.
73. Have you ever felt like dying?
Like I was dying or like I wanted to die? Yes to one of those two.
75. Have you ever sang karaoke?
I’ve played singstar or some equavalent before during birthday parties.
77. Have you ever laughed until something you were drinking came out your nose?
Damn no I’m glad I haven’t.
79. Have you ever kissed in the rain?
No
81. Have you ever made out in a park?
No
83. Have you ever glued your hand to something?
I’m me so I must’ve. Definitely to paper but I don’t know if I glued it to something else ever.
85. Have you ever gone to school partially naked?
No, the least I’ve probably worn was shorts and a t-shirt (and underwear and socks and stuff).
87. Have you ever sat on a rooftop?
Yes, my internship had a rooftop terrace thingy.
89. Have you ever been too scared to watch scary movies alone?
Have I ever not been?? I’m usually too scared to even watch scary movies with other people…
91. Have you ever been pushed into a pool with all your clothes on?
No and nowadays with phones and stuff, I would not appreciate it at all. That thing’s expensive and not water resistant.
93. Have you ever broken a bone?
Yes, broke my thumb (not all the way through) and splintered off a tiny piece off bone in my pinky. Those are two separate occasions.
95. Have you ever laughed so hard you cried?
I have
97. Have you ever cheated on a test?
Yes. In the second year of (Dutch) high school, my history teacher would not pay attention at all during tests and I didn’t like history tests because of all the dumb facts (that I now know can be really useful and give you an idea of when stuff happened in relation to other stuff). So, I had put my book on my lap. Also, during Spanish because we knew the test would be to write a letter so the entire class just pre-wrote it using google translate and printed it to tape it inside their dictionary. I did too.
99. Have you ever met someone who didn’t seem real?
No and this seems odd too because everyone is real… but maybe I just never feel like a person isn’t real but me meeting them isn’t real or something… idk

Etsy keyword manager
#Etsy keyword manager software
#Etsy keyword manager license
This will ultimately help your conversion rates go up and as long as you are following all the other best practices, there’s a good chance Etsy will start boosting this listing in front of others searching for this or something very similar.Īdditional supporting keywords – Once you figure out your focus and long tail focus keywords, those will be the main ones for your listing. BUT if someone types in “personalized clear coffee mug”, and you have optimized your listing for SEO correctly ( see that post here if you missed it), then you have a VERY good chance you are getting that sale. Even if they did land on your shop with a term like that, it’s a total gamble for you both. If someone types in “coffee mug” in the search, they might not even know what they are looking for yet. What are my options for T-shirt printing?
You are undoubtedly searching for t shirt printed near me or t-shirt printing near me if you even managed to find this. So, I don’t think it’s really necessary for me to proselytize to you the merits of custom T-shirts for your customers, your attendees or your staff. It is a powerful, oddly personal yet efficient way to make everyone feel like a part of something as well as a way for them to express their fondness for your brand or their support for your cause.
What I actually want to talk about is the technology behind custom T-shirts. How are these made, how many different ways can they be made and what are the merits of these different ways of going about it?
Obviously, custom T-shirts have been around for a very long time, and custom clothing is not a novel concept. Before industrialization, in fact, almost all clothing was bespoke to some level or another, but in an age of manufacturing, custom, made-to-order garments have a new meaning.
The earliest method of rapidly producing custom T-shirts was the silkscreen process, and a descendent of it still often referred to as silkscreen is still used today, being the most common and affordable way to create custom T-shirts or embroidery miami. How it works is actually pretty simple, but it used to be meticulous in practice. At one time, the transfer layer, the silk screen itself, used to have to be tented by hand, or from a woodcut stamp created on demand. Obviously, today, computers are used for this. A high-resolution graphic is provided by yourself, it is printed with special ink similar to the dyes used in the old days, and a similar heat process causes sublimation to stain the fabric. It is cheaper than it used to be and much faster, thanks in no small part to the absence of the wooden stamp, faster chemicals and better heating presses as well as more receptive fabric. This is affordable, it can have the most elaborate graphics, but it is also susceptible to fading over time from washing, UV exposure or just simple age.
A similar process can be used to put rubberized logos on shirts, something not done is commonly for custom shirts, and probably the least popular of the 3. A vector graphic is provided, and an automatic cutting machine slices different sheets of rubberized material, and then someone has to manually assemble these on the shirt, a similar heating process causing it to bond to the fabric. This one is costly, labor-intensive and tends to fall apart after a few washes, most T-shirt printing and custom shirt businesses recommend avoiding this one if possible.
Lastly, we have embroidery. This uses a similar machine, cutting the fabric off of Vector graphics, but modern machines may even be able to assemble and stitch these on automatically, as well as any embroidered lettering without having to be handled directly by an individual. This is the most costly of the endeavors due to the material, difficult equipment and so forth, and it does provide some limitations by way of graphics that printed shirts do not. However, it is arguably the most durable of the 3, and also the “classiest” for obvious reasons.
If you are looking for embroidery company near me, or t shirt printed near me, now you know the science behind them, the merits of the 3 methods and you can decide exactly what you want!

T Shirt Printing With Dark Transfer Papers Not Sublimation Or Silk Screen
welcome to this t-shirt printing video I'll get quite a lot of questions in the comment section about dark t-shirt transfers and how I apply them and what actual materials and products I use t-shirts for transfers for dark t-shirts come in various different qualities.
if you probably looked on the suppliers little eBay for example in all the different shops there you'll see a wide range of prices and there's also a lot that are imported from the Far East which are unbranded and they may only last sort of one or two washes before that they start to deteriorate so the papers that I use I've used for a very very long time now they've got a proven track quality they last well in the washing.
although the different the technology is slightly different form darker t-shirt transfers than for lighter t-shirt transfers power press heat press in other words they tend to be a bit more heavier on the surface to the touch transfer papers for light t-shirts are a lot more advanced and they are sort of vary a bit more stretchable and also got a more of a natural texture.
so darker t-shirt transfers will always be a bit more heavier so I try to keep a dark t-shirt transfer for a small area and if I need to do writing because of the way that we have to cut them out which I'll show you in a second I normally apply writing separately on using a clothing vinyl here is basically how we get our transfer papers again very similar to a normal sheet of a4 paper the difference being that
there is two layers to this this is a thin white film on basically a backing paper and it just literally sits into your printer you print on it and then you put it through your craft cutter and you cut it out so I've just pulled up silhouette software here so I'm just going to place that a four sheet of paper in our Epsom 1500 W printer here this the one I use this has got a it's ciss system fitted to it which is basically a bulking system and if you look at my previous videos you can actually see how
I installed that onto the Epson ciss system I use basic dye-based inks which I've used since 2006 and I've never ever had any problems with them at all you go to t-shirt forums you go to look online they will all tell you pigment inks one of the biggest problem you'll get with using especially if you're using like an Epson printer inkjet printer they've got very very fine nozzles in the print heads and they can tend to clog up with pigment inks if you're not using them on a regular basis and not only that if you put your printer for its maintenance cycles epson's can
tend to waste quite a lot of ink this is my wasting bulk ink tank here which I've got fitted I don't know whether you can see that we'll try and zoom in for you but that is actually half full with waste ink at the moment which would normally be deposited inside your printer this is just an add-on device which you can have to a printer like this and that saves your printer basically being blocked up and corroded but doesn't mean to say that the counters that go on inside the printer will still come up after a period of time for example I've had this probably about a year and a half this Epson 1500 W printer from brand-new and in that one of the half years. power press heat press machine
I think is about just before Christmas which was about a month ago it come up and it wouldn't print out anything the two indicator lights were flashing alternately on it and it basically said that it was beyond its serviceable life or the ink pads will be on their serviceable life now with my older type of printers.
when I DEP some are 1800 printers and also below you was able to go online and download a software utility that would allow you to reset the ink counters in the printer and thus keep the printer working you can't actually do that excellent sort of wised up to

Heat press machine features Reviews Benefits 2018
today briefly I'm gonna talk about the different things that you can do with a t-shirt heat press machine there is so much money that you can make using this machine.
we sold tens and tens and tens of thousands of t-shirts with this machine and you know most people just associate this with printing t-shirts there's a lot of other things.
you can do once you get into the t-shirt business you need to start looking at some of the other opportunities that are available to you to make money we have a customer base that knows you like you trust you and if you're looking to create t-shirts in a special niche this machine will allow you to do that this along with custom screen printed transfers and just a moment give me just a second here I'm going to show you some things that you can do with this machine again plastic saw transfers t-shirts you can do a whole bunch of stuff with it briefly.
for example I ordered these these are ladies underwear and I imagine they I've seen some creative stuff on the internet as it relates to undergarments people writing method is on the back and guess what you can use this machine the screen print on to the back of this panty.
I don't have anything let me see I mean I'm just putting the Auto numbers you want try just a number here may read the instructions on the application profit there's so much you can do so if you can get creative let's see let me use another I got another pair of panties here I thought I did but there's so much you can do let you do that 10 seconds and says I'm going to put this on here.
you can make money we printed on everything now hold on one second two three now I'm just using it as an example you can get more creative than this I guess this was spirit mom I just want to show you that you really can print on this garment now red is messing up my monitor how to move this clear as it's trying to auto focus or not but there's a lot of things you can do you can get creative with this.
so you can print on the underwear that's number one number two let's see what else they have all types of shirts you know so don't think just regular t-shirts there's I think they call to you some wife beaters this is I guess women use these to run and jog in you can print on the deck again different style of the shirts there's a hundreds of style.
the t-shirts not getting regular t-shirts but you get you getting my point here another style of shirt you know so you can print even now check this out now these are sweats now you can get these wholesale from the same place where you buy these blank t-shirts at now these are wholesale sweats you can print on the lid you can print on the leg going up and down you can print on side of the leg you can put on the back of the leg.
you can put on the back of the bottom let me see if I don't want to mess this up trying to show you something but I don't know but you get the idea there's a lot of stuff you can print on to get creative don't just think t-shirts your customers this is a baby bib that goes around the neck and you get this so you can screen paste like a towel.
it looks like a towel material and there's a lot of stuff you can do with them and you can print on the aprons man I'm telling you there's a whole lot of stuff you can do with this thing the proper the opportunity it's endless so you can you can prey on the aprons and whatnot there's those other panties I found they got different colors different sizes get creative have fun this machine is not only for t-shirts.
you can do a lot now these are methods your bag and I think they call them you open them up and they have all the different compartments on the inside.
you know again you can print on the front of this flap and again you can sit you can sell you can put whatever brand you want whatever method you want on these things.
put on the front panel on the back and let's say for instance you don't want to screen print on to it you can get into the embroidering business you don't need to go out there and buy high-end bra during equipment all these heads and whatnot.
you only need to know the first thing about embroidery there are local embroiderers in your town that will wholesale we're doing broidery for you for wholesale you can get embroidered designs or messages or sayings or words on this thing for less than three dollars a piece I promise you that you know now.
you can't just go buy one buy one but you know in five quantities of six twelve whatever you can build your own line you can be your own brand you can do anything you want with this stuff so remember you are in peril printing business.
you are in the garment printing business that means printing that means embroidering and if you need to use the screen printer because you want to print onto something else like some laundry bags some other vinyl type material material you can you don't have to use screen printing remember.
avenue you want to make additional money you want to make additional profits you can print on the hats now check this out now they have a heat press machine reviews they have a cat press and works pretty much the same but you can set the hat down on the press.
you can print onto it now guess what this is the adidas brand wholesale you can get wholesale name-brand ball caps and you can print and put whatever you want on to it you can embroider that in fact it's a digit low goal has been embroidered.
I promise you they didn't pay a lot of money to get these embroidered you do the same thing with your ball cap you can get them and brought it from a local embroiderer in your town for next to nothing the cost of very reasonable we have them stuff and brought it we had big one we're doing golf shirts apparel shirts here we go it's a great example this is a shirt from Penn State.
it's been embroidered Golf sirs you can get these wholesale as well we did something for the University of Tennessee a big bulk order now they found our website on the web and we took the order now you can get into the same thing so the ball caps I haven't done this on the cap press so I don't know if you can do this but these are little Sun visors but if not you definitely can get them embroidered with a local embroidery if you want to put a message on these as well same bag.
we had but just a different color I get they call a messenger bags again they have all types of different bags these ain't the only bag they have the whole bunch of them.
so you know there's a whole lot of things you can do you in the name of the game its continuing to sell to your existing customer base your customers will buy from you over and over and over again you don't have to always go out there and find new customers just continue to sell to the existing customer base you have just let them know that you have stuff for sale dark colored t-shirts again you can print on the dark colored garments you know that already with the heat press machine and then this here is one of my favorites now my wife is a photographer also.
when we send orders out to our customers we're always inserting stuff in the package so that we can always upsell our customers and additional products now this is a a photograph only if you can see that let me back up a little bit this is a fault this was the photograph and the company that we deal with will take the photograph that you send them you email them the photograph and they will scan they were digitally they will scan the photograph into the machine and then they will take their machine.
http://heatpressmachinereviews.net/gecko-heat-press-machine-review/
I'm like just think of embroidery they will stitch this thing they were stitched the photograph stitch by stitch by stitch through the machine and this is what you get a real nice soft blanket this is nice transfer it on this is not screen print on this is actually all the different colors.
you see are stitches this is some kind of I don't know what kind of materials you think of a throw throw blanket and that and that's what this is you can sell this to your customers 199 dollars all day and your calls wholesale is pretty insignificant now that they dog this is my brother's a wife and and then a dog shot this at the house so I'm just saying saying you can make money baby rubbers I've showed this a whole bunch of times already you can buy these wholesale as well I thought I had some.
I don't know yeah yeah go I thought I bought some I picked these up from Hobby Lobby because my son I made an earlier video he couldn't wait so we picked somebody baby rubbers up at the store now we screen-printed one of these not scrape we transfer one of these numbers on his this in another test video but showing you this to show you that you can get creative and do the exact same thing.
they've done for the Atlanta Braves this was found in a Target retail store you could do the same thing with your own designs you can get a blue one just like this is blue and make the same doggone thing now that's it may I don't know what else to say if you're not excited yet I don't know what I can say to get you excited you know if you're looking to start and build your own business make money from home perhaps you need extra income to send your child off to college or have extra money in the savings or buy a house the t-shirt business the garment business the apparel business will allow you to do that as you can see with this machine you do not need a lot of space you can do this on your kitchen table when we first started in my one-bedroom apartment to bedroom apartment.
http://heatpressmachinereviews.net/5-1-swing-away-print-sublimation-heat-press-transfer-machine-t-shirts-mugs-hats-2-plate-sizes/
we were the two bedrooms over the one in my two bedroom apartment we had this machine in our bedroom on the nightstand now we didn't have a lot of room and you know but we use this in the bedroom and then you know we eventually moved it to the kitchen table because we're getting a little too busy we didn't have a lot of company coming over side and care how the place look and in fact we didn't have a bed me and my wife slept on the float and the kid had to be in and but we slept on the floor I think we just had just one child at the time so many years ago but if they had a bit you know I opinion I felt maybe it wasn't gonna make us any doggone money so let's use the money and reapply it back into the business and that's what we did don't regret it at all and you know but got to start .
you don't we sell these on our website new this is an older machine we use the newer ones at the office and we have the you know if you want to buy the new machines online on our website you can t-shirt Rich's calm you know but you can buy these used .
because again while I like to make the money I want you to be able to buy this thing within your budget with where you're at right now don't stress yourself out going into debt putting it on your cards card or not like anything like that just get going make some money let the business pay for it and when it's time to upgrade to a higher quality machine.
think about me at that point buy from me you know but we have your best interests at hand if you have any questions about this process don't hesitate to email me post your questions below the video at our website at membership.

Custom Tee Printing, Points You Must Know Prior To You Order
Buying Custom published t-shirts can appear like a monumental task when all the details that need to be addressed concerned the surface area in the ordering process. With a little preparation and knowledge of what your printer will certainly need in advance your order will certainly be refined much quicker and also the final results will certainly have a far better opportunity of fulfilling your assumptions. Complying with are some suggestions that will certainly boost your odds of having a great customized tee purchasing experience.
At the danger of stating the evident, the initial choice to be made is the sort of t shirt that you will certainly want the printing to be on. The landscape is wide when it involves tee shirt option but aside from the color there are just a few points you will certainly need to select. The First thing to think about is do you want a typical tee shirt, or are you looking for a style tee? I do not believe a common tee shirt needs much description as they are the fundamental shirt that we have actually known and also enjoyed for years for dressing informally and also conveniently. I am sure that you have numerous of them in your cabinet drawer today. Fashion tees on the other hand are generally even more of a customized variety with closer suitable cuts and variants in neck line. The 2nd option to be made is do I want brief sleeves, or long sleeves? And finally, do I want a pocket on my t-shirts or not? It all seems instead basic, yet none the much less it pays to have thought these points over prior to making the journey to your local printer, as these points will certainly tighten your search and save time in the final option process. Learn more buy t shirt printing machine
Apart from heat transfers and also sublimation, there are essentially two various types of tee shirts publishing offered, Silk Display Printing as well as Digital Printing. It pays to be informed on this, even if simply a little in order to make an informed choice. Digital Printing is done on a printing machine quite like the paper printer you have attached to your home or office computer, the only difference is that you fill shirts in it as well as not paper. From a set up stand point this is a far better choice for reduced number orders as screens do not need to be created every color in the style, and all that is required is a quality picture. This can make it a more affordable choice if less than 12 t-shirts or two are being gotten. Display Printing on the other hand becomes a better option on larger orders, despite the fact that the established is much more labor intensive it ends up being cheaper as quantities boost. So here are the benefits as well as drawbacks of each sort of printing, From an expense stand factor Digital Printing might be much better for smaller orders, Display Printing may be much better for bigger orders. Digital Printing works best on white or light tinted tee shirts, Screen Printing functions best on Black or dark colored tee shirts. If the possibility exists that the order might require to be included in just a couple of days, Digital Printing is most definitely the better choice as Display Printing would certainly call for one more established charge making the extra tee shirts set you back excessive. Equipped with this understanding the picture begins to come to be extra clear which technique of printing makes more sense for your circumstance.
One last thing to think about before in fact positioning your order is the condition of your artwork, if you have artwork. The old saying waste in, garbage out is most absolutely true when it involves your custom-made tees printing. Your Printer will certainly desire the very best possible artwork they can obtain their hands on, and in most cases this means Vector Art work. Generally speaking artwork falls into two different categories, Raster Images and Vector Images. Without getting technical the major distinction that influences your printer is that Raster Images break down as they are re sized and Vector Images keep their stability even if they are exploded. Raster Images in a greater resolution will certainly work fantastic for Digital Printing, yet can be hard to work with for Screen Printing. Think about a Raster Photo as the picture you take with your electronic cam as well as a Vector Picture as computer produced artwork. Unless you are intending on printing an actual picture on your t shirts the safer bet would certainly always be Vector Artwork. Sadly, not everyone has a Vector style of their artwork as well as might not have the ability to create one. In such situations, and also specifically for Screen Printing, you can expect to soak up an art fee prior to manufacturing of your shirts can proceed. The bright side is that when you have the Vector format you will have it the following time when you reorder.

Season 16 Episode 8- I Thought This Would Be Fun...
Let’s face it, the twins are cheating at least up through this episode. Claire straight up knocked off a Puma outfit in episode 6, and Shawn admitted to “being inspired by” (and then recreating) what the model was already wearing the same episode. And now this episode no only did Claire have Margarita’s exact top from last week draped on her form-same angle, same opening, even the same number of pleats at one point-but in the end she gave us this:
Shawn during 1 hour face off (top) Claire’s look (bottom)
Same detail, same size, same placement. Just sayin. Not to mention that most of this isn’t even part of her cheating drama that will be brought up next episode. (No spoilers here but you don’t have to dig much to figure it out)
And all I’m gonna say about the twin’s 1 hour drama insert is that I’m glad at least Shawn is out of her misery...and so am I...ish.
Now that’s that out of the way, onto the challenge! That’ll be better right? Oh a real woman challenge? I love those, even though it is less of a shock to the designers this season considering the models they have. But still it’s always fun to see the connections made. AND ITS THE PRINT CHALLENGE! I was so glad to hear that this was back. Oh we have a sponsored partner? Well it-uhh-can’t be worse than JCP--WHAT THE EVER LOVING TEA DRINKIN PICNIC HAVIN HELL!?!?! DIXIE!?!?
The winning print will be on a Dixie cup. And the winner will get $25K. That’s all I have to say about that for now.
Onto the looks
N/A. Claire
I can not and will not rank knock-offs and cheaters. And that print? Really? I mean props for playing to the brand. But I would have been as pissed as Michael if I saw this hack win $25K for a knock-off design that can be found in every mall. The judges even said that. I just...can’t.
8. Batani
No. The queen of prints has failed at her challenge, and failed miserably. Claire made a Dixie adjacent print but Batani made pretty much the iconic Dixie print. That may be playing too much to the customer. And besides, she barely even used it! The rest of the dress is droopy and banal. I have a feeling when the dust settles early next week she will be eliminated.
7. Amy
I kind of hate everything about this. Well I take that back; the top is nice but the pants are giving me an allergic reaction. Her print was the second worst, behind Batani (trust me on the bolt Batani’s was a disaster), and I hate the way she draped it down. She had a jacket that Tim advised her not to use, and I can’t see it helping this looks at all considering it was out of that print. I think she also played way too much to Dixie.
6. Kenya
I have zero clue as to how this made it even remotely close to the top 3. Kenya can make a wonderful blouse, but not for this woman. And the print she made is the same one she wanted make for the sleepwear challenge. Remember that? When she got through without actually completing the challenge? The judge’s love this girl and I can not seem to see why. I’m over her, have been for weeks. This woman looks so constrained in a 1980s “fancy event” dress.
5. Brandon
The top is everything right about Brandon as a designer, and the skirt is everything wrong. The top is simple, chic, and masculine. The skirt is overdone, overbearing, and under constructed. I did like his print, mostly because it wasn’t a brown or beige, but he could have used it much better. This is two challenges for clientele this season that has thrown way too much fabric on the model.
4. Michael
The judges had a lot to say about this look, and none of it was good. I, on the other hand, don’t hate it as much. I’m impressed that he was able to design the print in 20 minutes, where the others seemed to falter immensely. I loved that he took his model’s native american roots into consideration, but I do think that it is a bit heavy handed. If the sleeves were either full, or non existent, and the pants had less fabric in the drape I think that this could be a winning look.
3. Margarita
It’s simple for sure, and the longer I look at it the more I dislike it. But it’s much better than most of the dresses on this list. That combined with her immunity makes me think the producers put her on the bottom for the sake of drama. That being said, her print was ok, especially after she dyed it, and the jacket is cute, if not a bit boring. I know she ran out of the gray fabric and substituted with pink, but I think she could have added the gray as detailing somewhere. Margarita’s a threat, because even on her off weeks she’s better than half these bitches.
2. Ayana
Cute, fun, flirty, and boring. Ayana earned recognition this week...by receiving no recognition. This is Ayana’s 6th week in a row without a judge’s critique, top or bottom. That’s a new PR record upending Suede’s season 5 record, who was later joined by both Fade and Samantha on season 13. As for this dress I think that it clearly deserved a top spot over Kenya. I can still see Ayana’s design sensibility while feeling the personality of her client. Well done!
1. Kentaro
It is a cry and goddamn shame that someone who actually designed a garment was beaten out by a basic t-shirt and pair of pants. His print worked perfectly with both the look and Dixie’s sensibilities. The dress moved wonderfully and the half belt was a nice detail. The back of his dress and the jacket were sublime. This was the clear winner of the challenge, and I hate that he seems to have lost $25K to the hairy Buitenscammer (we’ll see what happens next week).
Judge’s Top 3: Claire, Kentaro, Kenya
Judge’s Bottom 3: Margarita, Michael, Batani
Ok I’m gonna go watch more of season 1 now to cleanse my pallet of this horse shit.

Character study
Random older guy sits next to me in the waiting room. I’d guess he’s in his early 70s. He is wearing, honest to god, a polyester t-shirt vividly edge-to-edge sublimation printed with a mountain, trees, bright blue sky, and a giant bald eagle diagonal across both the front and back. It’s hard to describe how bright and weird it is.
“Can I sit next to you?” He has already taken the seat next to me, but now he asks, loudly. There are plenty of other chairs. The waiting room is not busy, and I’m in the middle of writing an email on the phone. But he’s clearly decided I’m going to be the target of his pushy friendliness.
And then he says, “Do you bite?” He’s leaning in, laughing, loud. I look at him, unenthusiastic.
“No.” I try to go back to my email.
“Let me see your hand. Are you married?” He grabs my left hand from around my phone, fumbles around with it.
“No.”
“Okay, well, then I bite.” He laughs and pats my knee, leans forward and grins at me, in the total absence of any encouragement or response from me. The other people in the waiting room laugh. One person tells him he’s “a hoot.” Ew. I just look at him.
“Actually, don’t tell my wife, or she’ll bite.” He laughs again, still loud. I’m still just looking at him.
“I’m just kidding. I like to joke around and have a good time, but I don’t mean nothing by it. I say a good day is one where you’re laughing and I just like to make people laugh and smile. I play guitar, I joke around. I play guitar for God.” And then he winks at me, still leaning in.
I am at a loss as to how to respond. What I want to say, sharp and flat and final like a lead brick, in the face of this random person invading my space with his hand on my knee again is, “You know, I’m really not that friendly.” Or, “I don’t actually like people all that much.”
I think things like this a lot. I’ve run out of patience in the last few years for pushy garbage from strangers, where they’re being quite rude, wrapped in a package I’m supposed to accept and respond with civility to. They know you can't politely escape, and some people take advantage of this with unpleasant regularity. Things like, “Everything happens for a reason, you know,” or, “You should really try to be more positive.” “I’m just trying to be friendly.”
I get sorely tempted to be more...conversationally aggressive...than is usually acceptable in response. "You're not being friendly, you're being an asshole. Don't tell me how to feel." Once, I almost answered the "everything happens for a reason" comment with, "Cool, so you're going to explain Ebola and childhood cancer?" Boy, are you really not supposed to bust through the social contract like that. Even telling a friend I thought about saying that last bit made her uncomfortable.
Thankfully, Mr. Touchy Feely gets called in by the nurse and I am saved the social awkwardness of having to publicly shut down the elderly guy everyone else around me seems to think is lovably cheeky. As he gets up and I'm trying to avoid eye contact, I realize he's wearing an actual tan seatbelt as a belt, with a genuine '80s square silver GM seat belt clasp. There are two sets of keys dangling from it. He leaves behind a weird vapor combination of cigarette smoke, cologne, and…fabric softener? Hand soap? Something.
I find people so confusing...

Start T shirt Business 2018
that I'm going to be doing two different things at the same time so so I've got the outside here and then I've got the inside so I'm going to get work up these separately so I can cut one in the glitter and I can cut one in the white then we've got adding text we'll put rims and you've got all your fonts and your sizes and your adjustment to your character spacing all that that all comes with it we can also know I have you note if you notice on my image I arced it a little bit so
we're actually going to create another path so we can create a little bit of gnarrk so we'll create a circle view and I'm gonna literally take that and edit it so now this is going to ride on this arc I'll go ahead and I'll adjust the character spacing a little bit and as essentially how we've created that shirt now you can make all the all the adjustments that you need here to make to get it to fit just right for what you're doing that's great yeah sure just want to see if there are any questions nope okay.
http://heatpressmachinereviews.net/power-press-heat-press-machine-reviews/
today I can fantastic so what I'm going to do for the sake of what we've created here is I'm gonna go to the to the actual to the actual art file that I created earlier today so you can it so because I've got a couple files and already lined up and correctly sized in everything in color so I'm just gonna switch over here so you can see but still about how long did it do that process oh yeah the word work about twelve minutes in and and three-quarters of that was talking okay so all these the only difference you're gonna see on this file here is that I said sized exactly the way that okay so you click on it and everything you see everything so what you're what you're saying is you're not taking anything it's actually really yeah so everything.
http://heatpressmachinereviews.net/fancierstudio-15-15-inch-heat-press-machine/
here is just sized in the font that I had I created this file on my desktop computer I'm sorry I even have the same font sets and this computer that I've messed with but but that's what that's all we'll do is recreate this file so I have the same thing I've got the separate files here if you see here I've made all of these in the inside orange I made the outside red and this circle that I'm not going to cut out I made white because I don't want to cut that and that's what we're gonna show next is really how am I going to go ahead and cut this out next this is this design is now basically ready to go onto a shirt with pending.
any other adjustments you would want to make if it's a lettering or anything like that so that's where we'll go over to our little controller here and it shows that we've got three colors if you notice one thing the design flipped it's backwards now and that's part of cutting out of vinyl it's that it actually flips back and forth because we're gonna cut it upside down a mirror image so we can stick it to the shirt and I wanna be stick it to the shirt now we're seeing the front of it so what we're looking at here is almost as if is if if your face was this shirt and you're looking through the shirt at the design and you're the first was looking at the
t-shirt being the other side of the screen we're hearing a mirror image so we can cut out the inside the outside and then there is that circle that we're not going to cut out so we're just not selecting that though so we're gonna go ahead and we're going to cut the outside first so I've got some light vinyl so just to say it's gonna happen really quick so all we're doing gonna do to cut it is we're going to click this button so I'm going to turn the camera back on so you can see it happening on the cutter itself and then I'll click the button alright okay so here and
http://heatpressmachinereviews.net/5-1-swing-away-print-sublimation-heat-press-transfer-machine-t-shirts-mugs-hats-2-plate-sizes/
we're we're ready to go and so if you look on the bottom corner of the screen you'll see the cutter you're also going to see this is the this is actually the actions that we'd asked about and we're working with this Ram right here and so this is just a full catalog because I said this is a bill this is available for purchase there's anything you can think of in regards to sports mascots and all that .
you could use that if you need to use it for embroidery digitizing from the vector file or for use with a printer or screen printing whatever you're doing exactly they're graphics files so these are ready to do anything I made for this business yes they're made for the apparel industry so these are distant this is specifically for that so I like working with them just because they're so easy but if you've got an

BTS’s “Love Yourself” Tour: The Best Outfits We’re Still Obsessing Over
New Post has been published on http://www.btsvfan.com/btss-love-yourself-tour-the-best-outfits-were-still-obsessing-over/
BTS’s “Love Yourself” Tour: The Best Outfits We’re Still Obsessing Over
A new year is in, but we’re still obsessing over some amazing moments we experienced in 2018, and not gonna lie, there’s one in particular I think about maybe more than I should: BTS’s incredible wardrobe during their “Love Yourself” world tour. Whether you were able to attend one of the shows or experienced it through videos and photos, we can all agree every outfit is worthy of runway status. While trying to pick just a few favorites is a hard task, we put together a list of the ones that completely stole the show and of course, the internet.
Military Vibes
Not sure if it’s the adrenaline of the opening number or if these outfits are just too good to be true. The first time BTS shows up on stage during the concert, they’re embellished with these sparkly military-inspo suits that scream “You’re in for a ride.”
Love Yourself Tour T-Shirts Simple yet stylish and classic, the “Love Yourself” tour T-shirts, both white and black, are a true statement and a piece of clothing we all want to add to our closets. They’re easy to combine — and you could even say a little normcore in comparison with past tour shirts — and multifaceted, as everyone can pull off the “Love Yourself” message.
JIMIN – All White Outfit I’m not saying that he looks like an angel in this outfit, but that’s exactly what I’m saying. It’s just a matter of scrolling through Twitter to find thousands of shots of Jimin in this all-white outfit, and he looks just magical in each one of them. The loose fabric in combination with the small diamonds on top, the detail on the wrists, and the straight pants with pearls is just a sublime fashion moment during the concert.
JIMIN – Gucci in Tokyo Is this outfit even legal? It’s such a statement, it’s hard to go back home to our wardrobes and find anything as cool and stylish as this. The personalized Gucci shirt plus the leather jacket with embedded gemstones and sequins paired with leather pants is one outfit for the books.
J-HOPE – Jeweled Cowboy Is there anything J-Hope can’t pull off? This combo he shows up in during the middle of the concert is so full of details I don’t even know where to start. The full-leather situation, the silver fringe, the diamonds and beads on the collar and buttons, the studs, the Gucci bracelets… it’s just one of those cases when more is more, and we’re here for it.
JIN – All White Outfit Yes, yes, all of them look breathtaking during the all-white stages, but there are a few details I certainly missed during the concert about Jin’s outfit, like the lace back and the pearls on the side of his pants. The way the air plays with the layers and the lights reflect on the jewels — which plays on his skin — make this outfit one worthy of all the fashion medals.
TAEHYUNG – Floral Robe V and robes are definitely an item. There’s no way anyone can look as flawless and stylish as he does in any pajama-inspired outfit. This one in particular is full of little details. Did you know the flowers on the robe are not painted or printed but actually sewn to the fabric? A true piece of art V perfectly pulls off.
RM – Striped Robe Another great robe moment brought to us by the leader himself. A simple outfit underneath crowned with a striped silk robe we can only dream about pulling off as nicely. Plus the contrast between the relaxed look and the jeweled collar while RM raps about being humans and love is a concept that will remain in our memories for a long time.
JUNGKOOK – Sheer & Harnesses The whole dark concept during “Fake Love” is a very interesting one. Lots of sheer, lots of leather, belts, and chains all over the place, but there’s one harness that keeps on catching everyone’s attention. Jungkook actually has two different harnesses, and it’s matter of luck which one you’ll see if you attend a show. There’s a simpler one that goes around his waist and a jeweled one that lays on top of his chest, both on top of a sheer shirt that plays with the choreo movements and the lighting while he performs.
SUGA – The Red Suit While I’ll admit I’m a little disappointed the matching pants abandoned us at some point during the tour, Suga’s red suit is by far one of the fashion icons and best moments during the show. The red sparkling suit not only marks a style statement, but it also became a viral moment on Twitter when a 9-second clip of Yoongi performing “Seesaw” reached millions of views.

09/05/2018 BA2b final journal entry
BA2b: Rebel tartan
At the beginning of week two for the Rebel Tartan project we knew that we needed to start focusing on producing physical prints, garments and outcomes. We began the week by working together in the textiles studio. We each produced 4 prints using the opaque binder. It was great to work in the textiles studio with the textiles students to help us, it really gave us the opportunity to play. They showed us the pre made screens which where really useful to come up with ideas quickly. I mainly focused on lines and shapes inspired by the American imagery and work I had already produced from it. I really enjoyed being able to experiment in textiles but I wish the brief had been slightly longer so that I could have had the opportunity to experiment with more techniques such as embroidery, knitting and weaving which I would really like to do before this year. However, now that I have had the opportunity to work with and know some nice textiles students I feel that I could always ask one of them for advice if I needed it.
After this session we all uploaded our prints to the google drive and separately began working into the prints in photoshop. This is when we began to think about how the designs would work with the text. I personally took a lot of inspiration from my prints but overall ended up creating completely separate designs in photoshop. I personally really like my outcomes from this prints. I feel that they are a great merriment of both my personal style as well as the project design direction.
The textiles students also began working on other textiles techniques using our prints as inspiration. They all came up with some very exciting work which would potentially look great in the collection but we all quickly realised how time consuming they would all be. It would just not be practical for the project time scale or commercially viable on a mass scale. Thus, we decided to use digital printing instead as it would allow us to work to a more graphic style and be sustainable for the environment as digital printing does not use water to dye. However, because of the third year deadline and short time scale for the project we would not be able to produce any samples for the deadline. We chose to use similar synthetic fabrics instead using the sublimation printer. We would supply our real fabric choices in the presentation say that this is what we would use instead.
On Tuesday we decided to introduce some draping on the stand to the textiles students to try and build some initial ideas for silhouettes for the collection. We knew that we wanted to use zero waste so we worked mainly with simple shapes that could fit together on a pattern. I wanted to do this with the textiles students to show that a different and more free way of thinking about fashion for their future work. I also explained to them how prints could then very easily be overlaid onto the designs in photoshop. They all responded very well to this workshop. We gained a lot of potential ideas from this work but realised that to work to the proposed deadline it would be a better idea for now to stick to simple zero waste pattern cutting shapes and let the print be the main detail instead. We then looked into our research to see potential pattern ideas which we could adapt.
We quickly decided that we would want to produce a tote bag for the presentation as it would be very commercially viable and easy to produce. Thus, I began working on the pattern and produced a calico toil that same day. During that session we also decided on a kimono, obi, purse, scarf and t-shirt.
We decided to produce a t-shirt because very early on Cami had spoken about wanting to produce one with graphic prints upon them. We wanted to make sure that she was catered for and would be able to do this whilst in keeping with our zero waste cutting. However, due to a lack of communication from Cami we did not know how she was interpreting this t-shirt and when she next spoke to us it appeared that she had veered off unto a completely different project idea than our own. One of the biggest problems during the rebel tartan project was the lack of communication from Cami. She appeared very reluctant to work with us which meant that her work was not fitting in with the project idea like the rest of the group. We tried to contact her via the facebook group chat but her responses where very scarce. I think it is a shame that she found it so hard to work with us as she was very hard working and would always have something to show us when she actually did come in. It was just not fitting with the project because she did not know what the group was doing. I would have like to have worked with her as she did have some good ideas but I am glad that we did not wait around for her and just got on with the work as it meant that we did not get behind. It is just a shame that none of her work could be used int he final presentation as it was not relevant. I thin that this was a valuable lesson for me to learn as I cannot always help someone and sometimes I just need to move on as the work is far more important.
I have already completed a project on zero waste before so instantly had a better idea of how it worked, thus I took over the main role of pattern cutter for the group to help us speed up the process. Because of the short time span we decided to collaborate on elements such as the prints and main ideas for the projects, but we should play to peoples strengths for the actual work for the project. This lead to the textiles students focusing on the main bulk of the textile experimentation whilst myself and Gloria took over any construction, pattern cutting of promotional imagery roles. I believe that this was the best way to give roles and I think that it worked really well to allow us to build a strong outcome.
After we had all gone away and developed our prints we came together for the final 7 prints which we would use the represent the world. Cami did not create a print so we could inly have 6 prints and had to miss out Europe, a very large part of the world.
At first we decided that the bets way to chose 6 final prints was to put them all up onto a board and begin picking out the prints that we did not think went together well. We spent a long time reducing prints and when we had finally finished we where not happy with the results at all. We also found that we had not thought to make sure that we had one print from each person and so where missing key parts of the world.
To resolve this we collected up each of our individual prints and decided to pick one each from the prints which we had created which we felt where the most successful. We then out the prints together to see how they worked. We found that this method was a lot more successful and the quality of outcome much better. We reviewed each piece and decided that it might be a good idea to make sure that each print clearly represents the part of the world properly by brining in elements of the countries flags where possible. For example Jake added black circles onto his blue stripe print to represent the Indian flag. The prints became a lot stronger and a lot more refined very quickly.
Once we had decided on the prints we knew that we where ready to produce the final collection. Because we where nearing the deadline and the bank holiday weekend we decided to allocate each member of the group different roles to speed up the process. For example three of the textiles students worked on creating and printing the print for the tote bag whilst I cut and constructed it. My other jobs over this time period included producing all of the garment flats and zero waste lay-plans and sourcing final cotton fabric samples for the group.
Everyone worked well on the assigned jobs which we gave them for the weekend. Thus when we came together on Thursday to produce the presentation everything come together very smoothly and we where all very pleased with out outcomes. We all worked together using the google drive to produce the presentation. We then spent some time rehearsing and making sure that everything was included that we needed to say.
On the day of presentation everyone turned up on time and spoke very well. It was somewhat disappointing that some members of our group chose not to speak as I believe that public speaking is a very important skill in the creative industry and it would have been nice for them to seek about their individual countries in better depth that I felt I could for them. However, I do understand that presenting can be crippling so it is no real issue.
I was very pleased that we won one of the runner up places. It meant that all of the hard work which we put in paid off and the tote bags which we will be producing will help raise awareness for the cause.
Overall Rebel Tartan has been the best group project which I have worked on at NUA. I felt quite pleased to have a mostly hardworking and talented bunch of people to work with. I am also pleased that I had the opportunity to work with and learn from some of the textiles students and I feel that I can now go into the department to experiment more and if I need help I feel like I have someone that could ask. The Rebel Tartan brief itself was quite an unusual one but as I am a designer who always works with a very a very strong concept I found it very rewarding and exciting to work with. I also really enjoyed taking on other people’s ideas and working to develop them into refined outcomes. I think that this project represents my personal way of working and aesthetic for a commercial product far more than the Levi’s or Fashion styling and promotion brief. Thus, I have set it as a stretch deadline for myself to complete 5 rebel tartan pages for my portfolio before hand in. This would be great to chive as I would then be able to incorporate them into my mini portfolio to send out for potential internships.
Portfolio
Finishing the portfolio mainly consisted of adding my revised illustrations and experimenting we layout and content page wise. I wanted to make sure that the portfolio told the right story whilst also being refined and professional as I do want to use this portfolio in the very near future to help gain internships.
I am very pleased with the new Levis illustrations. I did not initially plan to remake them but after the success of the new tailoring line up I thought that it would improve the overall portfolio and project a lot. However, for Levis I chose a much more commercial and fun style to draw in. I made it a lot more realistic and simple to understand, drawing real models with causal poses and expression to reflect the Levis brand mission. I always find it very reward to find these quick commercial techies and skills as I know that they will be very valuable to me in the future. The final line up looks very fun and relaxed which is exactly how I wanted the collection to feel.
The Fashion Styling and Promotion project was quite a challenge for me because as a group we decided to focus on a much more skill based project and aesthetic rather than something more editorial and visual. Thus, I did not have much visual material to put into the portfolio which I had not already used. Instead I chose to focus in showing how our work came together using the individual photoshoots which everyone created, the merging of technical skills and the consistency of the postcards which I produced.
I really don’t like the outcome of this project, nor did I enjoy doing it thus it really is not my best work. It does not feel like my work as all and because of this I now the it will never be incorporated into my actual portfolio. As previously stated I would have loved to have been able to work with someone of t similar aesthetic as myself so that I could use this work and be able to show to an employer that I can work with other well.
I am also extremely pleased with the outcome of my final shoot for the tailoring project. I think that taking the time to refine the location, lighting, poses and props really paid off and images reflect the mood of the project fully. I think it helps to tie the project together completely. I would more than happily use this shoot to represent me as a designer any time. This is work which will definitely remain in my portfolio for a long time.
Finally, I had set myself the Rebel Tartan portfolio as a stretch deadline. I was very pleased to be able to have the time to work on and complete it in time for deadline. It was important to me to have these pages done as soon as possible as otherwise I have no evidence of group work in my portfolio which I would like to use and I think group work is a very important skill to show a potential employer. It was also especially important at the moment as I am currently trying to get an internship at Charles Jeffrey and I wante to demonstrate to the brand that I can combine concept into commercial designing very successfully. Winning a runner up prize also made this an even better project to put into my portfolio.
I am very pleased with the outcome of the actual pages. It was nice to include elements of everyones work but also take the opportunity to focus on my personal input on the project. I also took the time to create a small illustration for the kimono as this would help to give it a lot more of a fashion context than just the bags. It was also really nice to include some of the photographs which Gloria had taken of the bag as they look very nice and professional for such a small project.
Window
I am very pleased now that the window display project has finished. It has taken a lot of pressure away and allowed me to focus fully on the Rebel Tartan project. The only issue that I am now having is getting everyone to come in and write the feedback from as well as put the group folder together. It seems that every time we had arrange to meet certain members of the group last minute could not make it which was quite frustrating as we all had a lot of other work to be doing.
Dissertation proposal
Last week I received feedback on my dissertation proposal draft. The feedback was extremely helpful and gave me confidence in my subject matter todo a lot more research and writing. I have now fully completed the proposal and am very excited to begin researching and writing about my topic. From creating the proposal I have already learnt a lot about my subject mater and am thus very excited to learn more. I think that this is going to be really great for me to do as a designer as it will teach me a lot about both Japanese design an cultural research which is seaming more and more important in the fashion industry. I want the Japanese aesthetic to have some influence on my final collection but I want it to be influence and not ‘oh look a kimono’ looking, thus why this report is so important.
After receiving feedback I plan to begin immediately sourcing my primary research such as visiting the V&A snd interviewing listed designers and members of Kawaii culture.
Selection Day
Finally as apart of the third year graduate fashion week program I helped out with the selection process by modelling. This is the second time that I have modelled for selection and it is always a very useful thing to do as you learn a lot about what to do and what not to do with your collection and presentation.
Something which is really important which I learnt this year is to ‘show vulnerability and not create it’. This is learn from a specific collection where the judges did not like the cut of a leotard. From being a part of the team who have modelled repeatedly for the third years throughout the year I know from personal experience that I always dreaded the idea of having to wear that garment and the girl who was unlucky enough to be give that garment every single time did not want to wear and felt quite embarrassed and humiliated by it but had to wear it anyway. This comes back to the importance of know that as a designer you have a lot of responsibility in influencing peoples ideas as well as a lot of controls over models who are more often than not put into horrible condition that the will often have to go through because of pressure from the industry. Kate Moss once modelled naked for a photoshoot at the age of 17 and spoke of how she cried in the changing rooms before the shoot because she did not want people to see her naked.
From this very same collection I have twice been squeezed into a neoprene jumpsuit which clearly had a minute sized neck hole, which was always cut, and the designer has never done anything from it. During selection I had to be pushed into it so hard by two dresses that I fell over from the force. Thus, another thing which I have learnt is to definitely make sure that all of my garment are easy & quick to get into and not painful at all for anyone. These are real people.
I learnt a lot from this experience and although I don’t actually think that this is something that I would ever personally do as I value comfort in my clothing a lot. It is something invaluable to know not just not but for in the future when working at a brand of giving critique to a mother designer. We must be socially responsible and aware.
From many of the other selections I noted that those who could not explain their concept, give more than one word answers or be open to change/critique came off the worst in their presentation. In my opinion, half of the success of a collection is how you show it. No matter how good you work is if you portfolio is terrible then that is how people will see it and it is exactly the same when presenting. These are all things which I will come back to and take not of before my selection day in a year time and in many year to come when pitching ideas at a brand.
I also noted that after showing their collections the third years all left A3 sheets with their line ups printed and fabric samples so this has made me very aware that I need to make sure that I produce a very good looking line up board which represents my design direction fully.
Overall the selection process what fantastic to sit in and it has made me very excited to be researching and experimenting for my final year collection but also a little nervous.
