everytime I have this kind of visceral and extremely specific reaction to something media related all I can't think is "I'm not autistic but I might as well be at this point" cause. jesus
#there aren't even that many symptoms that overlap between ocd and autism#they're almost polar opposites imo#but then there's the depression and anxiety#I think the mix of all three of them are what causes my brain to short circuit into this kind of behavior#that is vaguely autistic-like#lmao#am I even making any sense#I do not have autism by any means btw this isn't me being sarcastic#I'm just genuinely fascinated by how people are more used to people with autism having these kinds of behaviors abt their interests#when I don't have it and I act way worse sometimes#anyways#rambles*

*blinks at u* hey so my brain is eating itself and this won't let me sleep so
*pulls out a megaphone* NSFW ALERT
Okay yes octotrio foursome i know for a fact that the tweels love making their sweet partners forget about their insecurities for a moment yuu and zuzu are mostly receiving WE KNOW THOSE TWO EELS ARE CUNTS (affectionately) and like overstimulating, sweet aftercare is clearly followed but now? They know you and Azul are very spent but oh how they love to bring out such debilitating states out of you two, voices breaking and thighs trembling wanting to stop and close "Too much!" they coo and tease in response "You can take more right?" it is their form of making you two take a break! Making your bones feel like jelly and mushing your brains up, forget about anything now darling! Feels too good to stop right?
Both of those greedy bastards get you and Azul into missionary, the dominant hands of each twin on your hips to hold them in place while the other can bring even more attention to your sensitive zones, so so messy! The amount of lube mixed with saliva and semen that coated yours and Azul's inner thighs from the previous positions, the three of your partners do love to pick apart and see what makes each scenerie unique so sounds, states everything is so important to them! The sloppy sounds that Azul causes when he thrusts into you and how with this position you two can clearly see what's going on, bodies trailed with hickys and bite marks you get masturbated by Floyd while Jade fingers Azul all while still going! Seeing how Jade looks down at you, you can see how he is whispering on Azul's ear giving light kisses every now and then along his neck. They know how much these little things can do for you two, they know and want to make the most of it! After some time of weakly thrusting the twins make Azul fill you up they eat up every breathless noises being made (they also made sure you and Azul held eye contact when bringing you two to the edge don't worry!)
Finally the twins seem satisfied with the state you two are in.. Maybe they can make it even better, Azul was catching his breath and then Floyd decided to steadily masturbate Azul's still twitching dick â"C'mon Azul we wanna see you paint shirmpy's body too!" â"Fufu~ you still have energy left Floyd?" â"Always have energy to make our little mates cum~" Azul threw his head back as he came again this time spilling on your abdomen
What a mess! Don't worry though you and Azul can go into the bath while the twins change the sheets, make small snacks prepare the wedding ceremony pull out fresh pijamas everything is ready for cuddling maybe taking a nap, watching something.. Or even just talking if you even can with your sore throat
They love, love you two this is just one of the many moments that make your relationship so special
AaaaaAAaAAaH this is the very first time I ever write something let alone smut! English isn't my mother tongue and I have forgotten how puntuaction commas or dots went! But this is very feeling charged hope that you can still get it! I think that now I can go curl up on my blankets and get some heavy sleep :3 nighty night Mochi!!
-Vaquita đ (hope this isn't thrown in the dust.. I spent time on it and it could be forgotten forever ;( dramatically sobbing rn)
(you need to sleep love its good for the soul)
Omg no this is really good! I love when polyoctotrio includes the twins loving on Azul too, it feeds my soul! I think they really do get a kick out of overstimulating their partners, especially for someone as high-strung as Azul.
It gets frustrating when he gets too focused on work and starts ignoring his lovers. More so when their little Shrimp is running around busy with Grim and Crowley's tasks. The twins are feeling neglected by BOTH of their partners, what a sin!
The remedy? They con you two into coming into the bedroom to "relax" and unfortunately for you and Azul, relax means literally fucking the brains out of your head until you're too dumb to remember what you were supposed to do the next day.
The nice thing is, at the end, Azul is so sweet when he's like this! All the stress, and thoughts in general, are out of his mind and only filled with thoughts of his partners! He's so cuddly to the point that it's almost funny, with how Floyd has to pry his arms off you to properly wash you in the bath. It's awfully cute, so are you, though! You're clutching at Azul all the same, cherishing his affection as Jade attempts to dress you in your pajamas. Eventually the two get you both in bed again, curled into each other and practically knocking out the moment your heads hit the pillows.
A lovely polycule to be sure!

â´ Kinktober, day seven: accidental stimulation with Sunoo
â´ Word count: 1,5K â´ Content warning: kitchen sex, oral sex (f!receiving), little bit of an oral fixation. â´ Taglist: @starsareseen, @lucid-sombra, @enha13, @karinashairdryer, @kim2005bomi, @hyun00

âJesus Christ, we shouldâve bought a cakeâ, you laughed.
âYa! Itâs not that bad!â Sunoo responded, pretending to be offended.
The two of you were decorating a cake for your nephewâs third birthday. You told your sister youâd buy him a cake, but your lovely boyfriend suggested that the two of you bake it.
Baking wasnât the problem at all. You two agreed on a chocolate cake, Sunoo mixed the batter while you worked on the filling. However, none of you seemed to know how to work around chantilly, the counter gross and sticky because it took you three tries to finally achieve the right consistency.
Now, the cake was weirdly covered in a heavy mass of chantilly, looking almost like cement all over it. You laughed while Sunoo tried to move it around with a spatula to cover the holes. You collected an excess of it with your (clean) fingers and placed it on the spot without any chantilly at all.
âMaybe we should make more, I think a can of heavy cream wasnât enough.â
âDo we have any heavy cream left?â, he asked with a chuckle. âPlus, what if we forget to add vanilla again? Itâll taste like nothing.â
âNah, itâll taste like whipped cream.â
âNobody likes plain whipped cream.â
âI do!â, you responded in a higher pitch, ready to playfully fight him. âIâd punch you if my hands werenât sticky right now.â
Sunoo laughed, putting the spatula down. âLet me seeâ, he asked, reaching out for your hand. You let him grab your hand in his, only to watch him wrap his lips around your fingertips to suck the chantilly out of them.
You knew it wasnât his intention, but it sent a shiver right down your core, turning you on instantaneously. You just watched him sucking your fingers (without any sign of dirty thoughts behind his eyes) without a single reaction, not being able to move.
Sunoo removed your fingers from his mouth and smiled, leaning in to peck your lips quickly.
âSo much better than plain whipped creamâ, he winked, laughing a bit. He turned around to toss the spatula on the sink, and you stood still, your brain suddenly fogged. âHey, you ok?â, he asked after a few seconds, looking at you over his shoulder as he opened the tap.
You cleaned your throat, nodding. âYeah, yeah.â
âYou sure?â, he asked, pouting. âYou got quiet all of a sudden.â
You moved a bit, leaning your back against the counter. Your mind couldnât forget that scene and how it made you feel â only making it worse.
âNah, I havenâtâ, you said, voice an octave higher.
Sunoo turned the water off, turning around to face you. He arched an eyebrow, obviously not buying it.
âDo you actually think you can fool me?â
âSometimes, yeahâ, you shrugged, smiling awkwardly.
With a sigh, Sunoo walked towards you (took him literally three steps), standing still in front of you. âDo I need to tickle the truth out of you?â
You scoffed, leaning in to lay your forehead against his shoulder. Sunoo crossed his arms behind your back, holding you as he leaned his cheek against your head.
âItâs a little gross.â
âNot possibleâ, he said softly. âI can take anything that comes from your weird-ass head.â
You playfully slapped his ribcage before wrapping your arms around his torso. âIâm just a little embarrassed âcause I got a little turned on.â
âOhâ, Sunoo said, eyebrows raised even though you couldnât see. âShould I ask how that happened?â
You took a deep breath, closing your eyes and holding him closer.
âWhen you⌠sucked my fingers.â
You needed no other word for Sunoo to get it. He stayed silent for a few seconds before rubbing your back. He placed a gentle kiss on top of your head before saying:
âWhat should we do about it?â
You looked up, confused.
âNothing?â
Sunoo scoffed, shaking his head. He moved one of his hands towards the side of your neck, part of his fingers placed on your cheek before leaning in to connect your lips.
His soft lips moved slowly against yours, melting you beneath his touch. Every time your tongues brushed against each otherâs, you felt a sparkle. Your hands moved to the sides of his body, holding tightly his hoodie.
âWhat are you doing?â, you asked once he broke the kiss. Sunoo didnât answer. Instead, he grabbed your hand from his clothing and dragged it towards his lips.
He started kissing your hand gently, just by pecking your fingers â already turning your pupils dilated by the feeling â while keeping eye contact. He didnât know your hands were that sensitive, but now he wouldnât let it go.
âYa, Sunooâ, you tried warning him, but your voice sounded shaky. He scoffed, slowly licking your fingertips. Your eyes closed involuntarily, the excitement growing by the second.
Sunoo held your waist more strongly than he normally would, while his other hand held yours against his lips. He sucked your index and middle finger up to your knuckles, making you sigh heavily.
âHow do you want me to make you cum, love?â, he asked gently after completely removing your fingers from his soft mouth while his fingers brushed your waist softly through the fabric of your shirt.
You mumbled something incoherent and lay your head against his shoulder again, completely embarrassed. Sunoo knew not only you but also how your body reacted to his touch. He knew you were wet and growing desperate for him to touch your whole body.
âI guess itâs up to me, thenâ, he chuckled. Sunoo used his hand to hold your chin and raise your head, looking at your flustered face. His inner self wanted to smirk and make some mean comment about your state, but it was just so hot for him that he couldnât bring himself to do it.
With care, he kissed your lips. His actions were sweet, but his intentions were just the opposite, his cock getting hard at the thought of you so desperate because of him.Â
âWill you let me take care of you?â, he said in almost a whisper, lips brushing against yours as he spoke. You nodded, eyes still closed.
Sunoo used to go big or go home, so instead of torturing you, he dropped to his knees. His fingers reached the button of your jeans, undoing it in such a peace it killed you. Your cheeks burned hot as he calmly pulled your jeans and your panties down, embarrassed for not wearing anything sexy and for that little wet patch on them. Your right hand reached for his soft hair, caressing his scalp as you leaned against the counter. He took your bottom clothing completely off, making you feel exposed. His hand reached for the back of your right thigh, pulling it over his shoulder.
âWhat are you-â
You couldnât finish the sentence, once Sunooâs warm tongue licked a stripe from your slit to your clit and made you hold your breath. His lips focused completely on your clit from that moment on, making patterns in it with his wet muscle and eventually sucking it.
âJesus, Sunooâ, you meawled, almost melting beneath his touch. Your eyes barely stayed open, but Sunooâs were focused on your face. Your expressions and soft moans of pleasure were way too amusing for him to miss.
Without a warning, Sunooâs middle and ring fingers were abusing your velvety walls from the inside. The way he curled his fingers and massaged your g-spot with ease made your eyes close even harder and your hand left his hair, now both of them supporting your weight better against the counter.
Sunoo absolutely loved how fast youâd cum when he eat you out, never lasting more than three minutes of his tongue abusing your swollen clit. He knew how and when to press all the right spots to make you melt beneath his touch.
âHmpf, Sunooâ, you mumbled, biting your lips in between the words to keep the moans from floating out of your throat. âIâm so close.â
Sunoo scoffed, already knowing that. With no warning, his left hand pressed down your stomach while the other one worked harder and faster, pumping in and out of you and massaging your g-spot with ease.
Within seconds you were a babbling mess, grinding your hips against his face. He only stopped stimulating your g-spot and your clit once you whined higher, letting him know it was too much.
Sunoo got up, wiping his chin with the back of his hand, a big smirk on his face and a bulge on his pants. You were panting, knuckles white from the strength you put into them to keep you standing up while your lover gave you a mindblowing orgasm.
âSo, how do you feel?â, he asked, gently even though his face had the biggest grin youâve ever seen.
âIâŚâ your chest raised fast. âI think I really love youâ, you said, playfully.
âMaybe you could show how much you love meâ, he said in the same playful tone, right hand pressing his boner over his pants.
You laughed, nodding.

now thatâs hot as hell. Idk who Dad would be but best friend trope could work for any combination possible I would think⌠(all of them!? đ short of a orgy, I canât see either Dixon putting up with Shane even for something like that but hey)
been thinking about this every hour since it appeared in my inbox⌠(Shane is my guilty pleasure fr. would let him do disgusting things to me)
I think Iâm seeing your vision⌠lemme know what you thinkđ
PICK YOUR POISON
(Rick & Shane & Daryl x fem!reader)
warnings- 18+, smut, alcohol consumption, smoking, references of sex, multiple partners, the boys are kinda pervs but itâs ok cause ur legal and this is fiction <3 2.1k word count
You open the door to the garage and make your way down the stairs. Not even bothering to slip any shoes on. Your mom keeps the epoxy floors absolutely pristine, so thereâs really no reason. Plus, your toenail polish is still a little tacky. Bright, bubble gum pink polish and a silver toe ring adorning your foot. The smell of liquor and smoke has filled the garage. Accompanied by the deep, rugged voices and dry laughs coming from your fathers closest friends.
âYou know mom hates it when you smoke in the house.â You say all matter of fact, leaning up against the bar-tops, marble counter. You can feel your tank top strap slipping down your shoulder. But the animalistic looks coming from your dads three closest friends, force you to let it drop. To let them see.
Your father puts his cigarette out in the ash tray on the bar. Rolling his eyes at you. âWell good thing weâre in the garage then.â
You ignore his attitude.
âMom needs you.â
âFor what?â
âTo drop her off at Cindyâs.â
He seems irritated. But all five of you can hear the rain. Thereâs no way any half decent husband should let his wife walk to her monthly book club meeting in this weather.
âJust- keep your mouth shut about the smokes. And grab everyone another drink. Make sure they donât burn the place down while Iâm gone.â You father jokes, ruffling up Darylâs hair on his way to the door, grabbing his jacket and keys.
You wave an innocent goodbye as you watch him through the garage door windows, backing out of the driveway. Your mother in the passenger seat, smiling sweetly at you.
âWell⌠whatcha drinkinâ?â You ask Rick, whoâs sat in the middle. Glass empty, with a lone, melting ice cube clinking around in the bottom.
âRum and coke.â He answers, licking his lips.
âSpiced?â You ask. A flirty smile playing on your face as you bite your bottom lip.
Theyâre all staring. Jaws clenched and breathing slowly.
You know what youâre doing. You can tell by the way theyâre all looking at you. You can practically see the wheels turning in their brains.
They shouldnât be thinking this way about their friends daughter. About their best friends little girl. Well⌠not so little anymore. Youâd just turned 21. Hell, they were at the party. Giving you the exact same looks theyâre giving you right now.
The ones they definitely shouldnât be.
But they are.
Theyâre thinking about your thin, frilly, pyjama shorts, and how they can see the purple g string pulled up over your hips. How they can see your belly ring through the fabric of your tank top, and imagining what it would feel like against their lips as they kiss their way down your stomach. And you know theyâre thinking about bending you over the bar counter and taking turns at fucking you until they hear the sound of your dads diesel pulling into the driveway. How youâd have to play pretend for your father, ignoring the fact that your panties are soaking through with three different menâs cum, and maybe even a mix of your own. The salty liquids threatening to drip down your inner thigh as you politely excuse yourself from the garage. Coming up with any bullshit excuse to go lay on your bed and rub your clit until youâre seeing stars. Imagining each of their faces in between your legs, spreading you open and eating you up.
You know theyâre thinking it, because you are too. Itâs the only thing you can think about in this moment, while pouring Rick a double spiced rum and coke. Taking a sip and then handing it him. Making sure your fingers touch.
When you turn to ask Shane what he wants, he gets up. Insisting that you wonât know how to make an old fashioned. You only just turned 21 after all. You probably havenât even had one before.
But heâs wrong. Theyâre your dads favourite and youâd been making them for him since you were 16. But you didnât tell Shane that. Instead you let him walk around the bar, come up behind you and press himself against your back. Letting a tiny gasp escape at the feeling of his, very hard, cock pressing into your bum. Pushing you even further against the counter. His chest is warm against you. And his hands are big and calloused as he guides your own, pouring the perfect amount of bitters, simple syrup and bourbon over a huge, king sized ice cube that heâd retrieved from the freezer.
Finally, taking a slice of orange, meticulously cut up and organized in little containers on the bar top. It was something your mother was always very fond of; organizing the liquors and the garnishes, ensuring that your father could host a proper poker night or barbecue. Or whatever the fuck they stayed up all night doing in their little man cave. Not knowing that you were upstairs, awake and playing with your favourite vibrator, listening to their rock music through your bedroom floor.
âAnd then you twist it, like thisâŚâ Shaneâs lips are actually brushing your ear. And you donât mean to, but your eyes flutter shut at the feeling. His free hand moves to your waist as he tosses the orange peel in the drink, lifting it up and bringing the cold glass to your lips.
âTry it.â He says. And though you canât see him because heâs still behind you, you can hear the smirk in his voice.
You take a sip. A small one. Immediately scrunching your face at the two men still sitting across you. Their lips curl into an amused smile as they watch you swallow the amber liquid.
âNot my favourite.â You whisper as Shane leans back. Only for a second before heâs turned you around and trapped you once more, back to the bar this time.
âWell we did forget one thing,â He says, reaching over to a jar on the counter. Maraschino cherries. Your favourite.
âAnd I know how much you like these.â He teases, referring to all the cherries he caught you adding to your piĂąa coladas at a neighbors pool party only a couple weeks ago.
He dips a single cherry in the drink. Taking it by the stem and lifting it to your mouth. You donât hesitate in wrapping your lips around it. The bitter taste of the bourbon on the fruit doesnât last long. A sweet, sugary syrup bleeds over your tastebuds as you bite into the cherry. And a moan manages to escape your throat. Itâs quiet. You think maybe it was subtle enough to go unnoticed. But the smile on Shaneâs lips and the dry laugh coming from behind you, tell you that it didnât.
Shane is still pushed up against you, cock strained in his jeans and pressed right against your stomach. His hand gripping your hip and forcing you to stay against the counter. And the way heâs looking down at you. Fuck, the way theyâre all looking at you. Watching you start to squirm under their gaze.
âItâs good.â You swallow. Trying to maintain a confident, big girl attitude. But truthfully, you just want them to peel your clothes off, and let you melt into their arms as you cum all over their cocks.
âDarylâs drink is still empty, sweetheart.â Rickâs gravelly voice pulls you back.
âRight.â
Shane gives your hip one last squeeze before he walks back to his barstool. Next to Rick. They cheers quietly and sip on their drinks. Watching intently as you try to compose yourself.
âWhatâs your poison?â You turn to the last man, lighting what was probably his second or third cigarette of the night. Glancing up at you and taking a draw. Slowly inhaling and exhaling. And though your mother was not a fan, you fucking loved it. You wanted to crawl onto his lap and have him blow the smoke right between your lips as you rode his cock, letting the other two men watch and touch themselves to the sight of you getting off on another guy.
But you didnât.
âJust a beer, sunshine.â He pushes his empty glass forward for you. You grab it and put it in the dishwasher. Grabbing a brand new, frosted mug from the freezer.
âWhich one?â
âBudâs fine.â
You grab a bottle and skillfully pour it into the mug, coming around the bar this time to hand it to him. Intentionally placing yourself between him and Rick, reaching over and setting the glass in front of him.
To no oneâs surprise, you feel a warm hand on the small of your back. Rickâs fingers tracing dangerously close to the thin band of your panties.
âThose are really bad for you, yâknow.â
You get bold again. Stepping onto the foot rest of Rickâs barstool, and taking a seat right on his lap. The hand on your back only helping guide you on to him. Quickly finding its way around your waist as you make yourself comfortable.
Daryl only grunts. Hiding a smile at your silly comment. Heâd seen you smoke. Hell, heâd snuck out of multiple dinner parties to have one with you.
âYou gonna share?â You ask.
Hesitantly he hands it over, and you take it with two fingers. Taking a long drag in and then turning to face Rick again, before you slowly exhale. Trying to focus the smoke onto his lips more than anything.
âWhat the hell would your father think if he could see you right now?â Shane asks, leaning back in his chair and palming the hard on, still evident in his jeans.
âThink heâd probably try and beat youâre asses.â You say. And while youâre answering Shane, your focus is solely on Rick. The scruff on his face. His bright blue eyes, taunting you and begging you to lean in. Just an inch closer so that he can catch your lips.
âThink heâd win?â Rick asks, glancing down at your own lips.
âNot a chance.â You smile.
He closes the space between you, and you taste rum on the tongue that traces yours. Rickâs hand going to the back of your neck, deepening the kiss as you blindly try to put the cigarette out on the ashtray. You start to move. Trying to maneuver your position so that youâd have a leg on either side of him, straddling his very apparent bulge. But right as you start to moan against his mouth, you hear the truck pull up and park. Practically jumping off of Rick and standing in between him and Darylâs barstools. Fixing your hair as the heat rises to your cheeks. The men chuckle at your flustered appearance. Waiting for their friend to enter through the side door of the garage.
âHi dad.â You say, smiling politely and pulling your tank top down to cover the strip of skin visible where it had previously rode up.
âHey, hun. Glad to see they werenât too much trouble for ya.â You father aproaches and slaps a hand on Shaneâs back. Sitting down next to him and grabbing the pack of smokes from his jacket pocket.
âYâwannanother drink, daddy?â You ask. Daryl clears his throat. And you see Ricks eyes go wide as Shane tries to hide his smile.
âPlease. Old fashioned, darling. Yâwant some of that pink stuff we found last week? Bubbly⌠something or other. Itâs in the fridge.â
You watch Shane the whole time that you make the old fashioned. Clearly showing him that you knew exactly how your dad liked it. Carefully placing the cocktail on the counter in front of them.
âThanks doll.â Your dad says, continuing to smoke his cigarette. Reaching over the counter and handing one to Rick who lights it. Watching you the whole time. Tendrils of smoke, floating up to the ceiling of the garage. You turn around. Bending over and being sure to stay searching for the bottle of rosĂŠ about thirty seconds longer than you really needed to. You pour a glass as the men discuss what the next move was. What they should do for the night. Considering itâs still a work night, and they all have a supply run pretty early in the morning.
âYou wanna play some cards, sweetie?â Your dad asks. You scrunch your nose at him, taking a nice long sip of your sparkling wine.
âWhat? You got somewhere better to be?â Shane teases.
You huff a semi-annoyed breath, looking around for a spare stool. Even though you already knew there were only 4. Ricks eyes glimmer as he pats his left thigh, inviting you back on.
To your surprise, your dad pays you no mind, already starting to shuffle the deck of cards as you hesitantly take your seat back on top of Rick. Loving the way his hand curls around your thighs and tugs you even further on top of him. And the the way that Shane looks a little jealous that he hadnât offered first. And youâre especially loving the way Daryl shifts on his stool just the tiniest bit closer, so that his leg grazes yours every now and then.
âAll right, hereâs the rulesâŚâ You hear your dad starts to explain, already dealing you each some cards. But you donât hear him. You donât even look in his direction. Youâre way too focused on the taste of Rick that lingers on your lips, and the way your clit is actually fucking pulsing. Begging for attention. And truthfully, your mind canât help but wander, thinking about what might have happened if your dad had taken any longer to get back home.

Steddie Upside-down AU Part 15
Part 1 Part 14
âDemogorgon?â Eddie demands. âThat thing does not look like a Demogorgon!â
He can feel himself unraveling. He and Steve are barely unraveling and now theyâre supposed to keep this kid alive somehow? Theyâd planned to fuck off and die of starvation, but now thereâs a fucking kid in the mix, theyâre going to have to fight that thing again and figure out a way to get out of this mess alive.
âWhatâs a demoââ
âItâs a D&D monster, Steve.â Heâs being too loud, and he realizes it even before Will shrinks back, looking between Eddie, and Steve, and the door, like he canât figure out which one is more of a threat.
âOh, thatâs cool,â Steve says, like a jackass. Will smiles hesitantly over at him.
âIt is not cool, Sir Steven,â he hisses, keeping his voice down this time. âThat is not what a Demogorgon looks like, and in cause youâve forgotten, it tried to eat you! What about that is cool?â
Steve holds his hands up, palms forward like heâs trying to calm a spooked horse. âAlright, man. Ease up,â he says. âLetâs just sit down and like, talk this out.â
As if to demonstrate the act of sitting, he folds himself gracefully to the ground, legs crossed in his usual sitting position. Eddie hates him just a little. But Will sits too, knees to his chest, arms locked around them, so Eddie slides off the couch and joins them.
âWhy do you think itâs a Demo-whatever?â Steve asks, rolling his eyes as both Will and Eddie correct him in unison. âYeah, Demogorgon, whatever.â
âI rolled a three,â Will says. âIn the game. I rolled a three, and it got me. And then it got me in real life.â
Steve reaches out, patting the kidâs ankle. âAre you hurt?â Steve asks.
Will holds out his palms. Theyâre scrapped, a little bloody on the heels, but not too bad. Kidâs faired better than they have, thatâs for sure.
âJust these,â Will says. âI fell off my bike.â
Without getting up, Steve stretches out to grasp the handle of his backpack, pulling it toward him. He pulls out their meager first aid supplies, even though the blood looks old and dried. He scoots forward on his butt until his knees knock into Will, and then he holds out his hand.
It takes a few loaded seconds, but Will puts one of his hands into Steveâs. Steve holds it up to his eyes, hemming and hawing over the minor cuts like theyâre battle wounds.
Then the best thing happens â Will Byers laughs. Is Steve Harrington good with kids? Eddie is going to lose it.
âI think youâll live,â Steve says, wiping the dried blood and dirt from his hands with one of the few remaining wet wipes, careful of the scabs. He pats them dry with the hem of his shirt before gently securing bandages across them. âThere,â he says, with a private little smile. âGood as new.â
Will smiles up at him, cheeks pinkening in a way Eddie empathizes with. If Steve Harrington tenderly cared for his wounds, heâd disintegrate and blow away on the wind.
âNow what?â Will asks, looking around at his surroundings curiously, as if he only just realized heâd followed two strangers to an unknown location. âWhere are we?"
Eddie jumps up, bowing theatrically. âWelcome to my humble abode.â
A small, competitive voice in the back of his head crowed in delight when he made Will laugh this time. Screw you, Steve Harrington. He was going to be this kidâs favorite.
âWe should compare intel,â Steve says, like someone whoâd watched too many James Bond movies before his brain was fully developed. But they do.
Steve and Eddie take turns describing a kid-friendly version of what theyâd been through. The raging party turns into a small get-together, sans drugs and alcohol. The âDemogorgonâ attack in the alleyway involves not injuries, and it never broke into Steveâs house at all.
They donât mention the lack of food, but Eddie begins sifting the water when it becomes clear Will hasnât had a drink in a while. He doesnât let the kid see the residue left on the shirt that had once been in the water heâs now greedily gulping down.
Steveâs fidgeting, straightening, and recrossing is legs periodically as they wait for Will to finish drinking and catch his breath.
âAnd you?â Steve asks, when he finally lowers the bottle, wiping the water thatâd dribbled down onto his chin with the sleeve of his flannel.
âI saw it in the woods,â he starts, handing the bottle back to Eddie and pulling his knees back up to his chest. âIt made me crash my bike.â
âAnd it got you?â Steve asks, quiet and gentle.
Will shakes his head. âI made it home, but no one was there, and all the lights were flickering. So, I went to the shed, and I got Lonnyâs gun. Andââ he swallows, voice sounding thick. âI shot it, but it took me here anyway.â
âHow long have you been here?â Eddie asks.
Will shrugs, less like he doesnât want to say, and more like he doesnât know. âMy Momâs looking for me though.â
Eddieâs jealous of that level of faith in a parent. He swallows it down, says, âof course she is.â
Will shakes his head, hair flying with the force of it. âNo, you donât get it,â he says, adamant. âIâm not just saying that. I talked to her.â
Eddieâs eyes shift to Steveâs face, sees the same skepticism he feels reflected back, hope it doesnât show on his face quite as much. Okay,â he says, drawling the word out past its usual thresholds, âhow?â
âWith the phone in the kitchen. I called and she answered,â Will replies. There are tears running down his face now. âShe sounded so worried.â
ââŚwhat did she say?â Steve asks. Heâs picking at his cuticles again. Eddie wants to reach over and grab his hand. He doesnât.
âShe said sheâd find me,â Will says. âBut then the Demogorgon came.â
Thereâs silence for a minute besides Willâs quiet crying. Steve scoots closer to him, nudging their knees together companionably.
He meets Eddieâs gaze, something that looks alarmingly like hope shining in his eyes. âYou got a phone in here, Munson?â

itâs about that time at night where raian turns into an egotistical asshole while driving, he starts noticing the streets are almost bare and grows a petty smirk. raianâs brain lights up with ideas to fuck with the remaining drivers on the road, make them pull over out of sheer fear or argue with them back and forth whilst going over the speed limit. itâs nothing new, but youâre sick of dealing with it as his passenger princess.
âraian, slow down a little.. youâre speeding..ââ
âspeeding? ha, you think this is fucking speeding?! this is nothing!.. iâll show you and all these other bastards real speed.â
raianâs grin was as malice-filled as it was dark. his grip on the steering wheel tightening as he glanced over at you. he chuckled, barely audible, the sound mingling with the growl of the car engine as he pushed the pedal even further. your figure plunging back into the leather seat without warning. your head is in a swivel, hearing the beast's uncontrollable laughter as your body tries to adapt to the frenzied speed of the car.
the tension in the car became unbearable, the mix of danger and adrenaline filling the small space. his eyes flicked back to the road as you contemplated his words, the car's speed climbing with his expectations.
âstop the fucking car! itâs not funny, take me home raian.â
âyouâre not going home âtil i say so, and i say you keep your dolled up ass frozen in that passenger seat.â
his implications hang heavy, tangible as the charged air between you. raianâs hand, powerful and capable, finds a resting place on your thigh, digging into your skin without remorse. a reminder of his presence, his power. though your protests arenât getting through to him one bit, the sound of your stern voice gets him hot, coaxing more out of you.
the car's interior feels stifling, tension thick between the two of you as headlights and street lamps streak by. you can tell by the tenseness of his jaw and the unwavering hardness pressing against his pants that his ire was vying with raw need. the silent car became a den of smoldered urges, one palpable exhale away from combusting.
âtch. little bitches like you always like to chat, donât they?ââ
âyou may think you can bully all these other people on the road, but not me! you need to treat me with respect!â
âwhat makes you think you deserve my fucking respect? the fact that my cum was swishing inside of you last week makes you think i gotta be fucking jolly to you? hah! what a fucking joke.â
âfuck you!â
âfuck me?â
âfuck you! pull this car over now!â
raianâs scratched voice had a sick grin emerge deep inside. his eyes crinkling from a smile that could cause a god fear.
âif you were so worried âbout it... maybe you should have done somethin' to distract me, hah? couldâve curbed my fuckin' enthusiasm. but whatever..â
to hell with that alleyway three feet ahead as he swerved into it, his car jerks to a halt in the seclusion of the dark space. every tick slowed as he turned the headlights off and locked the car doors. even as time felt like it slowed, the hand that laid on your thigh switched to your locks in a quick snap.
âah!ââ
your squeak is muffled by the tight grip in your hair, raianâs jaw ticking as he watches the range of emotions play across your delicate features. he releases a chuckle, a sound scarred and throaty.
âdâdonât touch me!â
âthatâs it, isnât it? you love pissinâ me off âcause you know exactly what it leads to. fuckinâ freak. youâre lucky iâm hard too, wouldâve kicked you the fuck out by now.â
âgonna make good use of you.â
the words come with a growl, his lips inches from yours as he leans closer, a silent promise of retribution or perhaps a dark form of foreplay.
without warning, his lips crash against yours, an aggressive and possessive kiss that leaves you breathless. it wasnt the kiss itself that made you feel that way, it was the harsh bite on your lips that took the air out your longing lungs. the anger that had been simmering between you diffuses gradually with each forceful movement of raianâs blood covered tongue against yours, seemingly battling for dominance. the sensation of being so thoroughly claimed by someone as fierce and relentless as this man sends a thrilling shiver coursing through your body.
your hands meet with his chest, at first to push him away. this kiss stings, it hurts along with his hand still tangled near your scalp. but as his tongue meets with yours, your head feels fuzzy and your hands relent against his shirt.
raian pulls back his face, mouth open tongue exposed, the mixed saliva dripping from the tip of his tongue as he pants.
âyeah, gonna use you âtil you break.â
his hand pushes you to his crotch, un-busied hand pulling down his sweats as he stares down at you with anticipation. but as his cock pops up in front of your face, you just canât stop yourself. his musk is too addictive as you kiss up and down each vein, his member twitching against your crimson red lips.
raian isnât impressed, at all. a bored expression as he grumbles and slaps your cheek, not full of pain but enough to sting for a few seconds. his hips forcefully separating your soft lips as he uses your mouth. pushing your head down to the base where his pubes tickle your skin. you salivate and gag on his cock, looking up at his face as your head bobs up and down on his length. eyes hazy, you turned into a mess in seconds.
âfuck yeah.â
his gruff whisper barely slices through the stillness, his large hand tangled in your hair, guiding your head in a gentle rhythm. you feel his girth stretch your lips, his hand tightening ever so slightly each time he meets the deeper side of your throat.
every rough thrust interrupts your breath, leaving you gasping, eager, the sound of your muffled gagging mingles with the leather seats squeaking. raianâs assertiveness envelops you, his satisfaction clear in the grunt that escapes him when you hollow your cheeks, the slurping sounds filling the tight space of the car.
he hears the undeniable sounds of your commitment, the involuntary noise that escapes you as he continues to test your limits. the car jostles lightly from his movements, the energy of your eagerness causing the heavy vehicle to rock gently. raianâs breathing becomes ragged, a stark contrast to his usual, nonchalant demeanor.
the sounds of your lewd dedication, the steady rhythm of your gagging, drive raian closer to the edge. with his focus now entirely on you. moments become stretched, every touch, every noise heightened as he surrenders to your oral ministrations, his release imminent.
âfuckâ gah!â
his words cut off, a deep chested grunt filling the car as his grip on you becomes a vice, his body tensing. you feel his pulse quicken, the unmistakable twitch as he empties himself, your devotion unwavering. his cum splurts into your throat without warning, your coughing audible as it sticks inside your mouth and makes it a struggle to swallow.
raian laughs at your tussle, pulling you away and into the backseat.

Revelations
Progress is being made!!!
First: A Not So Average Night
Previous: Witness To A Crime
Next: Coming soon!
ââââ-
Neither Shawn or Gus could describe how exciting it was to finally hear that tiny voice. It was like finding a room full of chocolate just for them to enjoy. Their hard work over the past hour getting the little guy to trust them has finally paid off. The three might even become friends after this.
"I'll tell you what'cha wanna know as long as you don't hurt my people." The tiny voice wavered as he spoke barely above a whisper. He had an interesting accent, although neither human could place it.
Shawn was shaking with excitement at the mention of even more tiny people running around. There must be a whole secret society! On the other hand, Gus was not as thrilled when he realized there could have been little eyes watching his every movement for who knows how long. Although a smile still played at his lips by the simple fact the little guy was getting more comfortable with them.
However, their smiles slowly faded as the words finally registered in their brains. How scared the little guy sounded. It was one of the last things the two men expected after all the progress they had made. What did they do to get that sort of response? Why is he still scared?
Shawn chuckled nervously, "What are you talking about?"
Gus' expression-filled eyes were full of concern, "Yeah, why do you think we'll hurt your people?"
Tucker dropped the chip on the desk, all but forgotten as he stared at his giant tormentors. His gaze hardened behind his tears. "You've been trying to manipulate me into telling you everything this entire time!" He snapped, the overwhelming mix of fear, anger, frustration, and sadness boiling over the edge.
He took a step forward, "And the psychic has been reading my mind 'cause I refuse to comply!" Tucker pointed an accusatory finger at Shawn, who stared at the minuscule finger with wide eyes.
The human's mouth gaped open for a moment, speechless. Shawn was prepared for a lot of things in life thanks to his overbearing dad, but getting yelled at by a man smaller than a finger was not one of them. He glanced toward his friend for any sort of advice, but Gus only gave him an equally shocked expression in return.
Shawn held up his hands, "Uh-listen, I swear I don't read minds. I'm not one of those types of psychics."
Tucker crossed his arms and quirked a brow. "Really? Then how'd ya know where I was hiding and when I was hungry and that I'm from the walls?" He challenged. His fear of being punished by humans was long gone.
"The spir-" Shawn began before getting hit in the shoulder. "Ow!" He glared at Gus as he rubbed his shoulder, "What was that for?"
"You are not giving him the whole 'psychic revelation'." Gus stated with no room to argue.
Of course, Shawn still tried to argue. "But I am a psychic. The spirits tell me everything from the beyond." He gave Gus a look, begging him to go along with him.
His friend ignored him and turned back to Tucker who tensed up again. "He's not psychic. Shawn's a fraud." Gus said blatantly.
"Gus!"
"There's no point in lying to a four-inch tall man, Shawn!" Gus crossed his arms, "Who's he gonna tell? The Chief? Lassiter? Juliet? It's just scaring him even more!"
Tucker shifted uneasily as he watched Shawn facepalm with a frustrated sigh. When the humans said nothing else, he chose to pipe up. "What do you mean?" He asked Gus.
"He pretends he's a psychic that talks to spirits to solve murders. He's just good at noticing the little things and remembering them." He answered knowingly with a shrug. Gus glanced over at Shawn leaning against the wall with his arms crossed, attempting to block out his friend exposing his well-crafted lie.
Admittedly, Tucker still didn't understand. How in the world could Shawn figure out all that information if he didn't read minds? That's impossible. But there's no reason for Gus to lie about something like this.
He licked his dry lips, "Then how did he know all that stuff? Was it just luck?" Tucker tentatively asked.
As much as Gus wanted to answer, he had no idea how Shawn did it. Even after doing this whole Psych agency thing for months, and being friends with Shawn since they were babies, his friend's uncanny skill set still surprised him sometimes.
When Shawn didn't say a word, he lightly nudged him in the side. "Shawn. He asked a question." He said quietly.
Shawn solemnly nodded. "Back at the house, I noticed grease stains from the chips on the table that looked a lot like footprints. There were multiple trails leading to the bag and I figured something was in there. I was expecting a mouse though, not you." He explained simply.
He sighed and looked to the side as he continued, "there's specks of sawdust on your clothes, only way you can get that is from inside the walls. It makes sense as a safe place for you to live. And I guessed you were hungry 'cause you were hiding in a bag of food earlier." Shawn looked up at Tucker, appearing dejected, "Happy now?"
Tucker nervously glanced down at his boots, "Y-yeah. Sorry." He murmured sheepishly. He fidgeted with his sleeve as he started to shuffle away from the humans again. All of his foolish confidence was gone, replaced by a sinking feeling in his gut that he just made things far worse for himself.
Tucker wanted to slap himself across the face and scream. How could he interpret a situation so damn badly! Mind reading? Seriously?
"Hey, don't feel too bad." Tucker glanced at the human as Shawn spoke, startled how the human seemed to read his mind again. "Everybody falls for it, I'm just too good." A confident smirk played at his lips, and he gave the small man a knowing look.
"But now that all my secrets are out, I think you owe us your name." Shawn stated lightheartedly, quirking a brow.
Tucker blinked at that. It made sense, but he still didn't want to say his name. It felt wrong telling a human that information. But he's already been caught by them, spoke to them, and told them more of his kind existed. Yeah.... He's long past following the borrower code now.
Taking a steadying breath, he met the four giant eyes of the humans. "My nameâs Tucker." He cringed as his voice cracked slightly. After living on his own for three years, he wasn't used to using his voice anymore. That and the added pressure of talking to two freaking humans.
"Tucker," Shawn repeated, seemingly testing the name out, "Sounds badass."
Gus nodded beside him, "Like a gangster." He added with a smirk. "Nice to finally meet you Tucker."
The borrower only managed to nod along. He was not expecting this turn of events whatsoever. Tucker honestly thought he would be dead or left in a cage by now. He awkwardly glanced back at the chip he abandoned and decided to finally satisfy his hunger.
He sat down with the chip on his lap and continued taking bites out of the salty food. Meanwhile, Shawn and Gus shuffled closer to the desk on their knees.
"Soooo Tucker," Shawn began nonchalantly, "What exactly are you?" He couldn't hide his eagerness as the question left his mouth. His wallet depended on this answer thanks to his earlier bet with Gus, although Gus would have to pay for lunch either way since Shawn had no money. Still, he wanted to be right. He crossed his fingers under the desk, please be a leprechaun, he thought to himself.
A shiver went down his spine, but Tucker did his best to hide it. He purposely took a long time chewing his food before responding. "Don't ya wanna know about the murder?" He asked, changing the subject. Even though these humans were better than he thought, he still didn't trust them enough to reveal his people's name.
Shawn's face dropped, "Oh... right. The case."
"I forgot about that." Gus admitted quietly. He was as eager as Shawn to figure out who won the bet. "You're not a leprechaun though, right?" He couldn't help but ask.
Tucker shook his head. He didn't even know what a leprechaun is.
"Ha! I told you!" Gus pumped his fist in celebration.
Shawn scoffed, "You haven't won. We don't know if he's a wingless fairy or whatever ridiculous thing you can up with."
At that, both humans looked expectantly at Tucker again. His shoulders bunched up as his eyes danced between the two. Slowly, he shook his head side to side.
Gus shrugged, pretending not to care. "It doesn't matter, you would have made me pay for lunch either way." He pointed out.
"I actually would have paid this time." Shawn corrected him.
"Sure you would."
A loud phone chime stopped Shawn from retorting. He dug through his back pocket before taking out his phone and checking the screen. His brows rose, "It's Jules."
With one last glance towards the borrower on the desk, he tapped the green button. "City morgue, you stab'em we slab'em." He quipped.
"Not now Shawn." She said curtly. "Carlton mentioned you were at the Blum residence this morning, right?â
âLooks like Lassie has his facts straight for once.â Shawn said sounding proud. He heard a loud sigh on the other end.
âI donât know about that.â Julietâs voice was now quiet and unsure, very different from her usual confidence.
âWhat do you mean?â
There was a beat of hesitation before she continued. âCarlton seems so sure itâs the husband and is trying to get answers from him as we speak. I just- I really donât think itâs Steven.â Juliet admitted.
Shawn exchanged a quick glance with Gus who was leaning in to listen to the call. Tucker was also paying attention, but he seemed more interested in the phone itself rather than the conversation. It took everything in Shawn not to coo at the little guy. He was just so cute with his tiny eyes peeking curiously up at him like a tiny little kitten and- Shawn took a deep breath and forced himself to focus on the phone.
âAre you asking me what I think youâre asking?â He teased with a growing smile.
âI just want to know what you think.â
âWell pat yourself on the back Jules âcause im getting signals from the beyond itâs not Steven.â
âWho is it?â She eagerly pressed. Shawn figured she was already prepped to run out the precinct and arrest the real killer in record time. He loved watching her take the bad guys down. She somehow always looked so beautiful doing it. Unfortunately, he would have to see her arrest later.
âThe spirits havenât told me yet. Theyâre a lot shyer today.â He said sadly. âIâll tell you right when I find out.â Shawn promised.
âThanks Shawn.â Juliet said quickly before hanging up the phone.
Tucker felt a sense of unease as he listened to Shawn lie about talking to spirits. The human admitted he was a fraud, yet he didnât show any signs of a liar like every other human. Not even a quiver in his voice or his eyes twitching left. Maybe it was because he was speaking to a box instead of a person. Either way, Tucker figured it was best not to anger the human if Shawn was capable of hiding his lies.
When the human pocketed the little box again, Tucker adverted his gaze back to the chip in his lap.
"What did the killer look like?" Shawn asked. Even though there were still so many questions whirling around his head about Tucker, he knew he had a job to do. A poor innocent man was being interrogated by Lassie and Shawn wouldnât wish that fate on anyone. Well a few people did come to mind, but that was beside the point.
Tucker placed the rest of his chip to the side and brushed the salt and grease from his hands. He was about to answer, until he realized he was at the advantage for once. "I'd love to help, but my stuff is still over there." He pointed to the far end of the desk where his supplies lay.
Both humans glanced at his things, then at each other, then back at Tucker. Gus' eyes narrowed, "You're not gonna leave once you get your things back, right?"
Tucker adamantly shook his head.Â
They couldn't exactly keep the items from him since they did belong to Tucker. So, Shawn reached over and scooped the tiny objects into his palm. "Promise not to stab me again?" He asked warily before handing the items, most notably the nail, over.
Tucker stood and took a few steps back as the giant hand neared. He smirked up at Shawn, "As long as ya don't manhandle me again." There was still a hint of nervousness in his voice as the hand stopped right in front of him.
"TouchĂŠ," Shawn replied as he slowly tilted his hand so the tiny objects could slide off.
The borrower immediately began inspecting his possessions. The fish line on his hook was tangled but that was an easy fix. Tucker grimaced as he noticed his silver nail still had some blood on the tip that has long since dried. He'll have to figure out how to make it shine again later. He dragged his leather satchel over to himself and undid the clip. The contents inside were strewn about but undamaged.
"I couldn't really see the killer's face inside the bag," Tucker began as he started to reorganize his satchel, "But his voice was too deep to be the resident male's- uh Steven's." He corrected.
Shadows covered him as the humans leaned in closer to hear his small voice. Tucker kept his eyes down as he distractedly untangled his climbing rope. "Kirstin was really surprised and scared. But I think she recognized him."
"Really? How so?" Gus asked.
"She called him 'J.'" He started to reveal. Suddenly, his hands stopped untangling the string. Flashes of the woman's giant, bloody face appeared in his mind. Her pained features and the desperation in her watery eyes as crimson blood pooled around her head. The way she stared at Tucker when she realized her final moments were approaching.
A lump formed in his throat. Tucker knew all too well what that fear and helplessness felt like. How suffocating it is. Like your drowning and the only way to go is deeper into the dark depths as weights dragged you down. And only the actions of others will decide your fate. Tucker got lucky, but the same couldn't be said for Kirstin.
"Earth to Tucker." A voice rumbled above.
He snapped out of his haunting memory of the murder only hours before. Tucker glanced up just in time to see a pale hand approaching him with a borrower-sized finger outstretched. Surprised, he fell onto his rear and scrambled back. "Stop, stop!" He frantically demanded, holding out his weapon.
The hand flinched away and quickly disappeared back under the desk. "Relax, I'm not some giant monster. I was just gonna poke you." Shawn said.
With a huff, Tucker rose back onto his trembling legs and glared at the human. "Ya touch me, ya get stabbed. Got it?" He stated, holding up the still bloody nail.
"No touching, I get it." Shawn swore. "Were you having a vision? Are you a mini psychic!" His face lit up at the mere thought of having a tiny spirit whisperer as a sidekick.
Gus rolled his eyes beside him.
Tucker slung his satchel over his shoulder and put his nail through the small hoop on the bag. Slightly embarrassed, he began coiling up his climbing rope. "No, sorry. I just-," he chuckled dryly, "Guess that human's death got to me more than I thought."
He glanced down at the desk under him as he thought it over. Death has never bothered him before today. It wasnât uncommon to hear a borrower dying from illness or a rat or getting crushed. Out of eleven kids, Tucker and two other siblings were the only ones who lived to be adults.
Sure it was sad, but they would simply hold a funeral and move on. So why was this death, a humanâs death, bothering him so much?
"That's nothing to be ashamed of, Tucker." Gus reassured him, unknowingly knocking him out of his thoughts.
"Yeah, Gus still gets queasy around bodies and we've been working on murder cases for months."
"That's a normal reaction, Shawn. Not everyone is a psychopath like you."
Shawn laughed, completely unbothered. "I see what you did there! Psych-opath." He lightly patted his friend's shoulder.
Annoyed, Gus quickly shrugged him off. With one last glare directed at Shawn, he turned his attention back to Tucker. "Ignore him. You said Kirstin called the killer 'J,' correct?"Â
Tucker frowned as he remembered the victim's last word, meant just for him to hear in her final moments. "Yeah, then she said 'Josh' right before she died." His eyes danced between the humans. "Ya think that's the killer's name?"
Both men smiled. "Definitely sounds that way." Gus confirmed.
Tucker perked up at that. "I did what'cha asked. This mean I can go home now?"
"Of course!" Shawn assured him with an easy smile. "Hop on the Shawn Express and let's get rolling." He lowered his hand until it rested palm up in front of the borrower.
Tucker back up even further, not taking his eyes off the hand. His heartbeat quickened as the phantom feeling of those same fingers curling around him came back. It took everything in him not to pull out his weapon.
When it was clear Tucker was not hopping on his hand, Shawn curled his fingers to motion for the little guy to come closer. âThe Blum house isnât walking distance from here, especially for someone as vertically challenged as you.â He pointed out.
Tucker scowled up at him, âI-I know!â He stubbornly responded. He cautiously took a few steps closer before freezing up again. He just couldnât do it. Willingly putting himself in a humanâs hand went against every single survival instinct.
Gus frowned at his nervousness. âI know it doesnât seem like it, but Shawn can be careful when he needs to. You can trust him.â He promised.
He glanced up at Gus who gave him a reassuring nod, clearly telling the truth. Tucker took a few more moments to steel his nerves before closing the distance between him and the giant hand. He immediately climbed on the leathery skin before he could second guess himself, settling in the center of the palm. Tucker closed his eyes and tried to ignore the heat rising from the skin and the thumping of a pulse.
âHere we go,â Shawn warned quietly. He slowly rose his hand up to his chest and immediately placed his other hand underneath to add more protection for Tucker. âItâs just like when I carried that little spider when we were kids.â Shawn said with a smile, trying to hide how nervous he was carrying an entire human being.
Gusâ eyes were locked onto Tucker, ready to catch him again if something went wrong. He couldnât believe this was happening. Never in a million years did he think he would watch his best friend hold a tiny little person in the palm of his hand.
His eyes never strayed from the small man, even at Shawnâs comment that brought back terrifying memories. âYou mean that big spider you chased me around the house with for ten minutes straight?â His tone was full of annoyance.
âIt was harmless.â Shawn responded as he began carefully walking towards the door. Tuckerâs eyes were still shut tight, and Shawn thought he could even feel the minuscule fingers digging into his skin.
Gus sped past Shawn and to the door that led to the outside. âIâm pretty sure that was a brown recluse. You coulda killed me.â He cracked the door open and scanned the outdoors for anyone that could spot Tucker. Thankfully, no one seemed to be up in the very early hours of the morning and he quickly beelined to his blue car.
Shawn was close behind. His hands were protectively cupped to his chest as he too scanned his surroundings for people. âThat definitely wasnât a brown recluse, youâre making things up.â He defended himself.
Gus opened the passenger side door for him and he climbed inside. Gus quickly sat in the drivers seat and turned the key in the ignition.
Tucker flinched at the sound of the engine rumbling to life. He squirmed in the stuffy confines of the hands cupped over him, pushing against the fabric of the chest in front of him. After what felt like forever, the hands shifted around him and he found himself on his back looking up at two green eyes.
He quickly sat up and fixed his black poncho. âAre ya gonna put me down?â He asked nervously, glancing around the inside of the car.
Gus was the one who answered, âAbsolutely not.â He turned in his seat and began backing out of the parking spot, making Tucker brace himself at the sudden movement. âThereâs no safe places for you to sit in here and the last thing I want on my conscience is you getting hurt while Iâm driving.â He stated without any room to argue.
Tucker nearly forgot how to breathe. How was he supposed to sit with a damn human the whole time!
Psychic or not, Shawn seemed to read his mind. âRelax, weâll be back at your place before you know it.â He said with an easy smile.
Tucker forced himself to nod in response, hating every second of this morning. He couldnât wait to get back in the walls and away from the humans.

A loud crash comes from the kitchen, ripping you from your sleep. As soon as your brain registers its sudden return to consciousness, you groan loudly in protest and rub your eyes before reaching over to get phone from the bedside table and check the time.
It's just after ten.
You let out another groan as you stretch your entire body out before relaxing back into your boyfriend's king-sized bed.
You came back to Boston with him at the start of quarantine. Both of you were out of work with the film, and basically every other nonessential, industry being shut down so there was no real reason you had to stay in LA.
That was three months ago now and honestly, you both love living together. So much so that last week he asked you if you wanted to make it permanent. Of course, you'd said yes. The two of you had just slotted into each other's routines and quirks so seamlessly it was like you'd been living together for years. Your two-year relationship has never been stronger.
You're pulled out of your thoughts by another loud crash.
"Damn it" you hear him say, sounding extremely frustrated.
"What the hell is he doing?" you say to yourself as you get up and throw on his shirt from yesterday before heading out to see what all the commotion was about.
Pressing your lips together, you hold back a laugh as you lean against the door frame and take in the sight in front of you.
The kitchen is a complete disaster. Flour is everywhere. The floor, the counter... Chris.
Lord knows what he's trying to do.
"What happened in here?" you ask, causing him to jump and quickly try to hide what he's doing behind his back.
"I thought you were asleep" he says, brushing away the flour from the front of his shirt.
"I was"
"Fuck... I woke you up, didn't I?"
"Yeah"
"I'm sorry"
"It's OK. What are you doing?"
"Nothing"
"Then why are you trying to hide baking supplies behind you?"
"Well... it's your birthday"
"Go on"
"I'm trying to bake you a birthday cake"
"Chris...
"I don't remember it being this hard when I helped Ma as a kid"
"That's because Mama Evans is an amazing baker and did all the work while simultaneously making you think you were helping"
You make your way over to him and brush the flour he's somehow managed to get in his hair before sitting on the bench opposite him.
"You, my love, are a man of many talents but cooking and baking isn't really one of them" you tell him as you rest your arms on his shoulders and play with the hair at the back of his neck.
"I make a mean pesto egg, everyone loves them" he says, wearing the cute pout you love.
"They are an exception"
"I should have just got a box mix, I know I can't fuck that up"
"You went to all this effort just for me, you have no idea how much that means"
"We're stuck in lockdown and your family's on the other side of the country. I just... I wanted to make your day special"
"You make all my days special" you tell him quietly as a smile spreads across your face. You've never met anyone as loving as him. You don't know what you did to deserve him in your life, but you thank whatever greater power is responsible every single day that he is.
"I wanted today to be extra special. It's not every day that you turn thirty" he says with a shit eating grin that makes you roll your eyes.
"Urghhh, don't remind me"
"Hey, how to you think I feel, I'm the big four zero next year"
"I thought we were talking about me"
"We are, I was just saying"
"I can help, with the cake"
"Nope, it's your day".
"Is that so?"
"Yes"
"So does that mean I get to do whatever I want?"
"Yep"
"Then, I'm going to remove my boyfriend's shirt in the middle of the kitchen so he doesn't make a mess on the way to the bedroom".
"And why am I going to the bedroom exactly?"
"Because it's my birthday and I want my man to eat me out then rail me into the bed until I can't remember my own name"
"Well, in that case" he says with a smirk as he lifts his arms up like a child, making you laugh before grabbing the hem of his shirt and pull it over his head.
You lean forward and kiss his chest as he takes his shirt from you and blindly throws it over his shoulder into the pile of flour on the counter.
He takes your face and kisses you, hard, before sliding his hands down your back to your hips and pulling you close, your chests flush with each other.
You let out a quiet moan as he starts pressing open mouthed kisses up your neck, wrapping your legs around his waist when he sinks his teeth into your skin before tracing it with his tongue to soothe the sting.
He knows exactly what to do to make you come undone in 0.5 seconds.
"Fuck, Chris" you gasp, threading you fingers into his hair as he sucks a bruise onto your flesh. You pull his hair, bringing his face back to yours and kissing him.
He pulls away with a grin, making you whimper and follow him, trying to lock lips again.
With a chuckle he puts his hands under your thighs and lifts you off the bench, throwing yo over his shoulder.
"Chris!" you squeal as he starts heading towards the bedroom, Dodger following right behind him.
"No Bub. Trust me, you don't want to see what I'm about to do" he tells your fur baby, slapping you ass as if to prove a point, making you squeal again.
It's about to be the best birthday ever...

The harsh sun beat down on Camp Half-Blood, creating an unwanted stench of sweat and a wave of exhausted campers. Its fiery touch left a red glow on the paler campers and the overheating of others. The heatwaves of mid-June had been expected, but that didnât mean it hurt less to spend hours outside.
The flowers crisped up, and the lake overflowed with mucky children. Apolloâs choice of weather even caused Chiron to cancel activities, the infirmary becoming overcrowded with patients who had passed out from the unbearable temperatures.
However, while most campers and counselors enjoyed the cooling, fresh water, one remained absent from the day off. Leader of Hades Cabin, you have been missing all day. Everyone shrugged it off, the heat leaving them in a fatigued daze that removed all efforts to find you.
Instead of shedding your clothes and going for a swim, you took this moment to train in the amphitheater. Your camp shirt clung to your dewy skin as you swung your sword at a practice dummy. The unbearable sun only added to your determination.
âWhy would someone torture themselves by working in the dog days of summer?â You may be asking. The answer was quite simple, really. Luke Castellan.
Camp liked to refer to him as âThe Golden Boyâ for his friendly attitude and seemingly charming personality. He was the greatest swordsman to roam the property in three hundred years; his skills with the weapon were almost unmatchable.
Almost.Â
You were first in the fighting industry for a while, until Luke decided to stumble in. You watched from afar as his fourteen-year-old self picked up the blade, slicing his opponents with ease. Your blood boiled upon seeing the sight, anger flooding your brain at his effortless talents.Â
You had dedicated your whole camp experience to sword fighting, and now you were watching everything crumple with the arrival of a lousy new camper. Although your skills were displayed when you defeated him as a young teenager, he's improved since then.Â
And thatâs the reason he conquered you in battle a few months ago. It sent you into a fit of rage, a typical reaction for the children of Hades. Campers watched as you stomped away from the arena, breathing heavy as you carelessly tossed your armor onto the sandy floor.
What you hid from the crowd were the tears shedded into your pillow later that night. A mix of hatred towards Luke and disappointment bestowed upon yourself caused salty droplets to stream down your cheeks and into the fabric of your pillow. What would your father think of such a failure?
Ever since then, there has been none-stop resentment directed at the Hermes boy from you. Despite the fact that arguments were mainly caused by you, your interactions often left you pissed. But how were you supposed to ignore the way he constantly cracked his knuckles or the way he was always late to training who Chiron assigned you and Luke to lead?
While everyone was enjoying themselves and relaxing for the day, including Luke, you took it as a gift from the gods. No people in the arena meant a perfect solo training session, with no kids whispering in your ears about your loss to the counselor.
So here you were, sweating under 30 pounds of heavy armor and sticky clothes, working on your stance. Unfortunately for you, Luke had noticed your absence, and after asking around a little, he headed to find you.Â
He came up empty-handed upon searching your cabin, then the fields, then the forges. Running out of hope and patience, he trudged along to the amphitheater. And there you were, looking heavenly as you swung your blade at a fake person.Â
He saw as you furrowed your brows in frustration at every flaw you performed. You were so harsh on yourself, grunting in anger at nearly anything. He could tell you had been outside for a while by the way salty sweat dripped down your forehead.Â
âYou know training was canceled today, right?â He alerted you, crossing his arms and leaning against the wall.
âYeah. Thanks, Castellan. You can go now.â You glanced over at him before turning back to continue your practice. All you wanted was a little peace, and with Luke here, you were sure to lash out.Â
âWhy are you out here then?â He persisted, ignoring your comment about leaving. You let out a heavy sigh, and this conversation became a large distraction.
âSo I can practice. By myself.â You respond, not breaking to glare at him. For a moment, you thought he had left based on the silence in the arena. However, a few seconds later, he chirped back in.
âGo against me?â He offered, catching you off guard. You immediately turned to him, confused and slightly mad due to his presence.
âWhat?â
âRedeem your title of number one sword fighter. Without the pressure of anyone watching.â He said, sweetly smiling at you. You rolled your eyes, although in reality, this deal didnât seem so upsetting.Â
âFine.âÂ
He perked up after hearing your approval, lightly jogging to the equipment station with a pep in his step. He strapped on all of the metal gear and grabbed his signature sword.
You watched as he walked back, slightly bouncing with joy. You fought back a smile while witnessing his positive energy, trying to keep up your usual hatred towards him.Â
The sight of his sword snapped you back to reality, and you cracked your knuckles while narrowing your eyes. His small grin made it really difficult to remain tough, but you put in a large effort to remain unfazed.
You both got into the starting position, staring at him with a fierce gaze. He remained calm, holding his sword up. Time seemed to stand still as you both waited for someone to make the first move. Originally, your plan was to play defense, with a perfect strategy to ensure your win.Â
But your dreams fell apart the moment he sent you a smug smile, rage distracting you and sending you lunging forward. You sliced at his arm, clashing with the steel of his armor. He easily rebutted, nicking your thigh with his blade. The seeping red dripping down your leg caused a gasp of shock from you; your normal skills were slightly fractured due to his sudden offense.
You were able to mainly recover, your moves converting into some with rhythm and precision. Until he began to swipe with such power, one move sent you stumbling to the floor. As he held the blade to your throat, signaling your defeat, you muttered out a quick âI surrenderâ and slid the cold metal off.Â
He retracted his weapon, offering you a hand to help lift you. You fiddled with your breast plate before sliding it off and chucking it onto the dusty ground, trying to blink away the water forming in your eyes.Â
âI hate you, Castellan!â You yelled, your voice shaky, as you picked yourself up and stormed off. Unable to control your emotions, tears began to flood down your face. Your skin felt hot, partly irritated by the beaming sun, and partly flushed with embarrassment from your sobs.
Luke rushed behind you as you trailed to a secluded spot behind the building, throwing his gear down. When he finally caught up, you were sitting against the wall, your head buried between your arms as you weeped.
âHey, hey. Are you okay?â He comforted you, watching your back rise and fall unsteadily, matching the pace of your breaths.Â
âGo away. Please. And donât tell anyone you saw me.â You mumbled, not bothering to look up. He slid down next to you, sitting on the sharp sticks and dirty floor.
âWhy are you so bothered by losing? I promise you, the world wonât end because you lost one lousy match.â He whispered.Â
âYou donât know my dad. Iâm lucky heâs forgiven me for my last loss.â You replied, messily inhaling through tears. Your dad expected so much of you, constantly reminding you of your mistakes instead of your accomplishments.
âForgiven you? For what? You did nothing to him.â He mentioned it, and you rolled your eyes. Why were you even conversing with your enemy? Maybe he wanted dirt on youâsomething new to make fun of you for.Â
âNever mind. You donât get it.â You said, voice still muffled as you spoke into your arm.
âCmon, tell me.â He insisted.
âForgive me for being such a disappointment.â You responded, going silent after. You felt his judgmental stare and realized you shouldn't have said anything, now awaiting a snarky comment about your confession. Instead, you ended up surprised by his next words.Â
âDonât say that. Your dedication is amazing. Heâs just a god who only sees your mistakes. Donât let that define you.â
His hand rested on your back, drawing shapes on your skin. Raising your head, your eyes met his. It was then that you realized how one-sided your feelings were. How he never started any arguments with you, or how he was the only one who noticed you were gone from the lake and set out to find you.Â
Not to mention, he was cute. Really cute. His brown curls draped over his forehead, and his dark orbs stared into yours with such passion. It's like he put a spell on you; the moment you made eye contact, you felt the need to apologize.Â
âIâm sorry. Iâm sorry for being so awful to you all these years, and for-" Luke cut off your rambling.
âAll is forgiven. You know, you donât have to be what they want you to be. You donât have to hide your tears.â His sweet and genuine words caused you to grin for the first time in what felt like forever.
âOr your smile, either. Youâre gorgeous.â He finished. The both of you silently leaned in until your faces were only centimeters apart.
âCan I..â He whispered.
âPlease.â You responded, lifting up your hand to bring his head closer. He cusped your cheek, and within moments, his lips were on yours. Fireworks erupted in your stomach as you kissed for the first time, his dry lips getting coated in your spit. He pulled away, not wanting to creep you out so soon.Â
"Would you want to, uh, maybe go out with me?" Luke whispered, nervously scratching the back of his neck.
"I'd like that."

Not in Chronological Order ch. 5 - Orange Magic
setting: Central Park// Saturday morning
summary: Reader and Sonny are watching his niece's softball game on Saturday morning and he is interrupted by a series of work calls.
A/N: This takes place 13 months into their relationship. Also, I mentioned on the series page that I've taken some creative liberties with Sonny's nieces and nephews, which still stands. I'm giving his sister Teresa three kids, including a daughter named Sofia.

âThought ya werenât gonna make it,â Sonny called his tone light and teasing. It was still cold for the middle of March and he had his Fordham hoodie on, hands in his front pocket though he took them out as you approached, pulling you into a hug. You were careful of the coffees in your hands as you wrapped your arms around his waist, pressing your face against the collar of his hoodie and kissing the side of his jaw.Â
Once youâd extricated yourself from his embrace and handed him one of the coffees you said, âAnd miss a softball game for six year olds?â You asked, âdoesnât sound like me.â
âYeah, alright, I donât appreciate the snark,â he joked.Â
Dating Sonny had just been dating Sonny until about three months into the relationship when he decided heâd waited long enough to introduce you to his family. Now, over a year into your relationship, you felt like you were dating the entire Carisi clan. Dates turned into family parties or Sunday night dinner or watching his nieces and nephew play sports early on Saturday mornings and it all felt bizarrely more domestic than any of your previous relationships. Maybe that was simply because the last time you had a serious boyfriend was ten years ago when you were twenty.Â
Today youâd gotten yourself out of bed early and taken the subway into Manhattan to see Teresaâs youngest daughterâs softball game. Youâd been invited by Teresa before Sonny could even remember the date. Sheâd texted an entire schedule for each of her three childrenâs sports and school activities to you at the beginning of their school year when youâd only been dating Sonny for six and a half months.Â
âJust FYI,â you mentioned, shifting your coffee to balance between the crook of your arm and your body so you could clap as Sofia came up to bat, âIâm mad at you.â
Sonnyâs eyebrows furrowed, looking at you with a mix of concern and confusion, trying to wrack his brain for a reason that you would be upset with him. Between both of your busy schedules youâd managed to keep any dates that you scheduled and heâd been on time to every apartment tour for the last two weeks.Â
âWhat? Why?â He finally asked, unable to think of any particular reason you had for being mad at him.Â
You turned your face toward him, that sly smile creeping over your features, causing him to realize that youâd been teasing him. âBecause you didnât tell me about that Italian place on Locust.â
âNear my parentâs house?â He asked, not concerned anymore but twice as confused. The two of you had been over the bridge almost every week for Sunday dinner but he couldnât think of another reason for you to trek to Staten Island, at least without him.Â
âYeah, I went last night with your mom."Â
"You went to dinner with my ma?â Sonny was more than positive that you hadnât mentioned a Friday date night with his mom at any point during the week.Â
âShe said she wanted to take me to dinner for my birthday, just the two of us,â you shrugged.Â
âYa went to dinner with my ma?â
âYes. She texted me like, two weeks ago, and asked if I wanted to have dinner,â you explained, âanywayâŚthe point is, why didnât you ever take me there? The food is so good!"Â
"I canât believe you went to dinner with my ma and didnât even tell me about it,â he replied, âI canât believe sheâs texting you.â
âJealous?â You joked, bumping his hip with yours. âWhereâs Teresa anyway?â
âPaulâs got the kids this weekend,â Sonny replied, nodding his head in the direction of the bleachers on the other side of the diamond where his ex-brother-in-law sat with two small children.Â
âOh fun,â you muttered. Teresa had introduced you to Paul only once but that had been more than enough for you to get a measure on him.Â
âSo, what did you and my ma talk about?â Sonny asked, looking at you over the rim of his disposable cup as he took a sip.Â
âWell, she spent a good half of the time asking me when I was planning on making her a grandmother again,â you replied, âalthough, at least your mom has more of a filter than you do."Â
Sonny had ungracefully blurted out, halfway through dinner on your second date, that he wanted to have kids someday and he was looking for a serious relationship. As if two dates in a week was enough to know whether you were going to devote the rest of your life to him. You were planning on it, in fact, though you had avoided saying so two dates in.Â
"Whatâs that supposed to mean?â He asked, looking incredulous at the accusation.Â
Before you could answer, his cellphone went off and Sonny stepped away from you to answer it, already falling into ADA mode. You turned your own attention back to the game, scanning the game to see where Sofia was and finding her in the dug out, waiting for her turn to bat again.Â
ââŚI can email it to ya first thing tomorrow morning. Iâm not in the office right now,â Sonny said, looking back toward the Little League diamond, his gaze softening as he watched you clap for his niece. âYeah, yeahâŚIâll talk to ya later, alright, bye Liv.â
Sonny made it over to you after hanging up, wrapping his arms around your waist from behind and kissing your cheek.Â
âDo you need to go?â You asked, turning your head to meet his eyes.Â
âNah, just some paperwork. Nothing I canât get in the morning,â he replied.Â
âAre you sure?â You knew you sounded surprised as he looked over at you, the beginnings of an apology already forming on his tongue.
âYeah, ya just got here and weâre supposed to look at that apartment after lunch.â
âI know,â you turned back to the game, âbut if you have to-â
âI donât."Â
A year and a month into dating Sonny, you knew that his job was more than important. It was demanding on a good day and soul-draining otherwise. The work he did was necessary and hard and you understood. Yours wasnât an easy job either, though you had more structured hours than Sonny sometimes got. Both of you had brought up jobs and relationship expectations somewhere around the three month mark but neither of you had really gotten anywhere solid and the discussion had been shelved for later. For further down the road when things were more serious.Â
Talking babies with Serafina Carisi and apartment shopping seemed like the time to unshelf that conversation but neither of you really wanted to.Â
"So, dinner with my ma?â Sonny asked, trying to get back whatever youâd had before Sonny had answered the phone.
âOh yeah, we covered all the topics. Jobs, children, future wedding, why you havenât proposed yet,â you laughed at Sonnyâs expression, âher question, not mine.â
âSheâs something else,â he muttered, pressing his face into your neck.Â
You reached up with one hand to pat the top of his head, running your fingers through the soft, salt and pepper, waves. No work meant no hair gel. âShe told me that we should move to Staten Island so when we have kids she can babysit and we donât have to worry about work or daycare.â
âWe just have to worry about commuting back into Manhattan?â Sonny asked, slightly muffled by your sweatshirt. You could feel his mouth against your neck as he spoke, breath warm in the cold morning air.Â
âWhat, you donât wanna sit in hours of traffic every day?â
âDream come true,â he hummed.Â
Sonnyâs phone rang once more and he groaned against your neck, giving you a gentle squeeze before he pulled away. You heard Livâs name leave his lips as he stepped further away from you and the game. Serafina had referred to the relationship as a test of patience. You wouldnât put all the blame for busy schedules on Sonny though, there were plenty of dates that you had interrupted with a phone call or times when youâd brought work to his house when you were supposed to be having dinner together.Â
âAre you sure you donât need to go in?â you asked when he made his way over to you again.
âNo,â he pocketed his phone, âsorry.â
âNo you arenât,â you laughed, stepping away to throw out your empty coffee. When you came back over he was frowning. âWhat?â
âI am-â
âI didnât mean it like that,â you sighed, wrapping your arms around his waist and tucking yourself into his side. He slung an arm around your shoulders instinctively. âI just meant, Iâm not mad that you have to work when youâre off the clock. You know I get it, I justâŚwish you wouldnât apologize. It gives me false hope that maybe next time you wonât go into the office or answer the phone and I know you wonât.â
âItâs just, the case weâre working on-â Sonny started to explain.
âDominick,â you huffed, cutting him off, âI literally just gave you an out, you donât have to explain. Iâm not mad.â
âYou seem a little mad.â
âWellâŚâ You turned into Sonny more, fiddling with ties on his hoodie for a moment before meeting his eyes, âitâs 10am on a Saturday and Iâm watching your niece play softball and thinking that maybe your mom wasnât so crazy for asking me about kids cause I could totally rock being a âsoccer momâ someday and then I just spiral further into my head likeâŚwill Sonny answer the phone when our future children with Italian names are running around playing baseball and then I realize Iâm being totally irrational because half the time Iâm the one on the phone and then-â
âHey,â Sonny cut you off this time, pulling you closer to hug you, kissing the side of your head, âwe both have crazy jobs and we knew that getting into this and I know you are more than understanding about my schedule but that doesnât mean Iâm not sorry that I gotta answer the phone when Iâm with you."Â
"I know,â you replied, âI just feel like, the interruptions happen whether you make excuses for them or notâŚI just donât want us to be those people that like, make the excuses. I donât wanna lie and say that next time I wonât pick up a second shift and I donât want you to say that you wonât stay late at the office cause then weâre just lying to each other.â
Sonny looked contemplative as he considered what you had said to him. Finally, he nodded, âI agreeâŚI just feel guilty sometimes hassling you with interruptions when weâre supposed to be off.â
âI donât think this is a compromise we can figure out over the course of one conversation,â you replied. A Little League baseball game probably wasnât the best place to be hashing out your feelings as it was but there was certainly no easy end or compromise to the situation at hand. Down the road, you imagined, it would have to evolve into other conversations too, more nuanced, about family instead of just you and Sonny. âBut if you do have to go in to the officeâŚâ
âJust for like an hour tops, I promise weâll make the open house."Â
"We better,â you tried to sound threatening but it was hard to do when you were smiling, âcause I showed Serafina the places we were looking and itâs the only one she likes.â
âSheâs not living in it,â Sonny pointed out.
âYeah but she said itâs got three bedrooms so thatâs at least two grandkids.â
âWith Italian names,â he teased.
âDepends,â you replied, detangling yourself from Sonny as his niece ran over to say hello.Â
âOn what?â He asked, though he was looking at Sofia and waving, a massive smile on his face.
âIâll tell you when little ears arenât around,â you joked.Â
Sofia made impact with his legs before he could answer you and Sonny lifted her up, settling her against his hip despite her being six and all limbs, happily kicking him as he hugged her. She launched into a recounting of the game, as if neither of you had been there and seen most of it. You couldnât help thinking that maybe Serafina was right when she told you that a year and a month was not too short a time to already be thinking about kids of your own. Interruptions be damned, youâd spend the rest of your life with Sonny if you were given the opportunity.

#28: ...as a lie ps. this is inspired by this post about dealer!mickey & insomniac!ian, who have now rotted my brain.
Ian hasnât slept in days.
Itâs happened beforeâendless energy is one of his tried-and-true symptoms of maniaâbut this isnât that. Heâs taking his meds, his skin isnât crawling and his mind is fairly quiet. Quiet enough to frustrate him as he tosses and turns and wonders what the fuckâs going on.
His schedule has been all over the place lately; his normal routine lost to the endless cycles of employment and Gallagher family responsibilities. Heâd been hoping to add school to the mix this semester so that he could have other, less hectic options than a rig-riding EMT, but heâd pushed it off. A pity, now that all-nighters are apparently his thing.
Night two, he googles a few things, which is a huge mistake. Who can fall asleep after reading about how even just twenty-four hours without sleep can begin to derail your bodily systems? Sleep deprivation can cause or worsen conditions like Type 2 diabetes, High blood pressure, Stroke, Heart attackâhis pulse leaps as his phone clatters to the ground.
Night three, he takes to the streets, running around the Southside until his lungs burn and his knees wobble. As he passes the clinic that gave his seventeen-year-old self a lifetime prescription for antipsychotics, he knows that if this lasts much longer, he should call his doctor. Tell them his nighttime meds arenât putting him to sleep anymore. Nip this insomnia thing in the bud before it can overthrow the delicate balance heâs worked so hard to maintain.
Night four, desperate and a bit delusion, he pulls up a number he hasnât used in years, saved under a contact labeled, DO NOT TEXT.
He breaks his own rule: Hey. Still making house calls?
The response is almost immediate: the fuck u care for?
Ian rolls his bloodshot eyes, typing: Itâs an emergency.
Three little dots herald a response that makes him laugh: a weed emergency?
He stays strong: Wouldnât ask if I didnât need it.
The next text makes his chest clench: u ok?
He decides to keep it vagueâI canât sleep, but itâs not what you think.âand hopes he doesnât have to explain further and is relieved to read: u want ur usual?
Another clench: Indica
Two texts arrive in rapid succession: what else do u want? can i give u head while u smoke or no?
There it is: the reason Ian doesnât use this number anymore.
Maybe in another life it would be a blessing to have a weed dealer to lovers arc with your childhood crush, but in this one, it was a curse. A curse that lasted almost a whole year, bringing with it an endless bouquet of blissful fucks and free weed, and a million moments of tenderness Ian knew nobody else was getting out of the guy. A curse that eventually came to collect payment in the form of bloodied knuckles, broken hearts and ego wounds. A curse that still clings to Ianâs psyche, filling his dreams with gentle, tattooed fingers and bright blue eyes and a sweet and savory scent that can only be described as Mickey.
Mickey, now DO NOT TEXT.
On second thought, maybe he should never sleep again.
The knock at the door makes him hardâa Pavlovian response that irks him more than the three sleepless nights heâs suffered so far. Three raps, one right after the other. The last one no more than a brush of his hand.
Ian adjusts himself and answers the door.
Fuck, one look at that smug asshole and heâs immediately right back in it. Lust and like and maybe even a little bit of reckless fucking love fill his body, rising to the surface like sweet cream. A layer of fat on the roof of oneâs mouth; a treat to lick later, a reminder that they didnât end things because they werenât insanely hot for one another and potentially soulmates. They were just idiots. Stubborn, petty dicks.
Oh Pride, the great slayer of men.
Jesus, he needs to sleep.
âFirst oneâs on the house,â Mickey says as he crosses the threshold, a joint held tightly between C and K.
Hours slip by. They laugh, they smoke. It feels like old times. Ianâs body is loose in a way it hasnât been in years. It feels good. Like maybe-he-could-sleep-tonight good. And as he melts further into the couch, he starts to get a little horny too. Because Mickeyâs yapping on and on about some asshole that frequents the bar he works at, and Ianâs listening, he swears heâs listening, but heâs also staring at Mickeyâs mouth like he wants to take Mickey up on that text message and shut him the fuck up with his dick.
Like he wants to taste the stale smoke of his tongue.
Wants him to stay the night.
Forever, maybe.
Mickey finishes his story. His eyes go soft and he drums his fingers against his knee. âShould get outta your hair, Gallagher,â he says. âLetcha sleep.â
Thatâs the last thing Ian wants.
âNot tired,â he fibs.
Mickey cocks an eyebrow. âYouâre not? âS been days, man. This shitâs gotta be hittinâ ya by now.â
Itâs true. It has been days and this shit is hitting him. Or maybe heâs having a sleep-deprivation-induced stroke. He just knows Mickey canât go.
âCanât go to sleep without a goodnight kiss.â
Mickeyâs already leaning in when he asks, âThen you promise youâll hit the hay?â
Ian nods as Mickey presses a kiss to his lying lips.

part one | part two | part three | part four
the deafening sound of a conch horn mixes in with the storm rolling over the village.Â
you, kiri, tuk, neteyam, and loâak all go silent. eyes worriedly dart to each other, staring in bewilderment as your brains ponder on what to do.Â
âwe should go.â neteyam breaks the silence, spinning on his heel. he ducks down under the entrance to the marui and disappears around the bend. loâak takes no time to follow his brother, sprinting after him through the rain.Â
âcome on. itâs okay.â you attempt to reassure the worried child. you grab tukâs hand to walk outside with her and kiri, a few steps behind loâak and neteyam. your hand comes up to shield your eyes from the heavy rain falling from the ominous clouds.Â
as you get closer to the center of the village, the growing crowd of metkayina becomes more dense- this is not good.
âmy spirit sister and her baby have been murdered by the sky people!â ronalâs voice shouts from somewhere in the center of the irate group of villagers.
you grasp tukâs hand so tight, afraid she might get lost in the crowd. you can barely make out neteyams head as he pushes through the metkayina, âiâm scared.â the girl whines from behind you.Â
âitâs okay. just keep your head down, tuk.â you mumble, wincing as somebodyâs sharp elbow collides with your ribs.Â
you finally break free from the crowd, instantly spotting jake and neytiri standing in front of ronal and tonowari. neteyam and loâak are already standing behind their parents, so you quietly sneak over to them with kiri ahead of you.Â
the chief and his wife are on an elevated surface as they speak to their village, âthis war has come to us! we knew about this hunting of our tulkun people, but it was over the horizon. far away! now, it is here!â tonowari shouts, and hisses angrily as he delivers the news to his people.Â
âyou gotta understand how the sky people think! they donât care about the great balance!â jake tries to calm down tonowari, but it just makes it worse.Â
âwe donât answer to sky people!â a metkayina raspily screams from behind you, making you jump.Â
âlisten! listen to him!â neteyam urges them.Â
âthe sky people are not gonna stop! this is only the beginning! you gotta tell your tulkun to leave! you gotta tell them to go far away!â jake shouts as he talks with his hands.Â
âleave?!â ronal shrieks, âyou live among us and you learn nothing!âÂ
âwe will fight to protect our brothers and sisters!â a metkayina man steps forward, slamming his fist roughly against his chest.Â
the people yip and screech in agreement, and grow more wild by the second; howling and slamming the bottom of their weapons against the ground.Â
âno, no! if you attack, if you fight, then they will destroy you. it would destroy everything that you love!â jake yells.
your eyes dart around nervously at everyone, heart pumping wildly against your ribs.Â
the metkayina cry out as they stomp and grow even more furious. âhear my words!â jake desperately pleads the people.
âstay calm! stay calm!â neteyam tries to alleviate the chaos but it doesnât do anything, âlisten to my father! he speaks the truth!â
jake steps forward holding an orange spear-like beacon up to the crowd. the people go silent as they look at what he is holding.Â
âyou tell the tulkun that if theyâre hit by one of these theyâre marked for death.â he breathes heavily, âand call for me. iâll silence it.âÂ
âsaving their lives, thatâs all that matters. right?â he looks around at the village, âsaving your family.âÂ
tonowari looks down at his wife, before taking a step up next to jake, âtell the tulkun.â he orders.Â
âgo.â ronal urges, âgo!âÂ
loâak is quick to blend in with the moving crowd, which neteyam takes notice to. you hand over tuk to kiri, âiâll be right back.â you say to them, quickly sprinting in the direction neteyam took off in.Â
just as youâre about to run past them, you spot the boys at the end of a dock arguing, âyou gotta keep your skxawng ass here.â you overhear neteyam say to loâak.Â
âheâs outcast. thereâs nobody to warn him but me!â loâak argues.Â
âbro.â neteyam sighs as he slaps his hand on top of his brothers head, âwhy do you always have to make things so hard?âÂ
loâak pushes his hand off of him with a grunt, âno. you mean why canât i be the perfect son like you? the perfect little soldier?âÂ
neteyam takes a step back from him, chuckling angrily before stepping even closer to his brother- as if he is holding himself back from punching him. âiâm not you!â loâak shouts in his face.Â
you need to stop this before it gets too heated.Â
you run forward, out of breath as if you didnât eavesdrop on everything that was said. just as you make it to them, loâak shoves neteyams arm off of his shoulder, âget off me.âÂ
âloâak!â tsireya calls from the water on her ilu, coming in fast with aoânung and rotxo.Â
before you know it, the youngest sully boy is diving in the water to his ilu and taking off.Â
âcome on! heâs going to payakan.â neteyam grips your arm to pull you forward, making you stumble. his arm protectively wraps around your waist before he jumps into the water.Â
you suck in a sharp breath before the cool water envelopes around your bodies; one of his arms reaches back to he situate your body behind him. he grasps the reins of his ilu, and takes off in the direction of loâaks trail.Â
he breaches the surface, making you gasp as the rain hits the top of your head. you can see loâak in the distance, âcome back!â you scream out to him which just makes him go even faster.Â
kiri and tuk are off to the side, sat on an ilu in the water. âloâak!â both of them call after him.Â
âheâs going to find payakan!â you and neteyam yell out to them in sync.Â
âwait up!â kiri yells as neteyam dives back under the water to follow his brother. your arms tighten around his waist, trying your hardest to not fly off from the speed.Â
he chases him all the way to three brothers rocks where payakan is. the creature breaches the water as loâak calls his name.Â
the animal lets out a loud pained whine as it swims up to him. the tulkun turns in the water, revealing the same orange spear from earlier lodged into his back. this time, itâs beeping.Â
the younger boy jumps off of his ilu and onto his back to try and pull the machine out of its skin.Â
âoh shit! neteyam! theyâre here!â you cry out when a huge ship appears from around one of the giant rocks.Â
âwe need to help him.â neteyam leaps off the ilu and onto the tulkuns back, leaving you behind on its saddle. you mentally punch him for leaving you behind, but you know that all he was thinking about was getting his brother.
you take control of his ilu, wrapping your hand around the leather handle on the saddle to dive under the belly of payakan. you pull up to breach the surface on the opposite side.Â
your legs push up to leap off of the animal, and onto the back of the giant creature- just as tsireya, rotxo and aoânung arrive and jump onto the creatures back.Â
you scurry over to help them pull the machine out, your hands attempt to grip the slippery surface of the beacon. itâs really stuck in there.Â
âcall it in! call dad!â neteyam yells an order at his brother, who looks at neteyam as if his heart just fell out of his ass, âjust go! do it!âÂ
loâak scurries to stand up on the top of the animal as his hand flies to his throat to talk to jake through their comms.
even with five people pulling, thereâs absolutely no budge. you let out a frustrated yell when your hands slip off of the damp surface for the hundredth time.Â
your eyes continue to glance behind you at the ship as you try to pull it out, âitâs getting closer!â you cry out in a panic. another harsh wave crashes against the side of the tulkuns body, sending a mist of sea water in everybodyâs face.Â
your mind goes through every possible way you could get this thing out of it, âa rope! does anyone have a rope?!â you yell out, eyes looking over the four naâvi around you.Â
neteyam looks over at you, his chest heaving with exertion and terror, âa ropeâŚâ he breathes out, pausing for a moment to look around.Â
he makes a clicking sound with his throat, summoning his ilu back over to him. he jumps into the water to search through the packs on its side, âhurry up, bro!â loâak screams as he comes back from talking to their father.Â
neteyam unravels a long rope from inside, throwing the other end to you. itâs almost as if he read your mind when he wraps it around the ilu to utilize the animals strength to help.Â
you quickly snatch the thrown rope out of the air and begin wrapping it around the tracking beacon with the help of aoânung.Â
âgo, go, go!â the chiefs son tells neteyam, your head continues to check on the proximity of the ship. now theyâve discharged smaller boats into the water that are coming your way, âwe have to hurry! theyâre coming!â
neteyam gets on the back of his ilu, flapping itâs fins in the water to accelerate forward, now aiding in pulling out the beacon, âpull now!â he orders.Â
the four of you muster up all of your strength to try to force the beacon out of its skin, âhurry! we need to hurry!â tsireya cries out.
âpull! harder!â you whine, your hands burn from the scraping of the metal against your palms. Â
the beacon suddenly releases from the creatures skin, pulling the rest of you into the water along with it. payakan quickly takes off, the force pushes you even deeper into the rough ocean. you use all your might to swim up to the surface.Â
the first thing you see beyond the waves is neteyam swimming away with the beacon in his hand.Â
âno! neteyam! no!â you screech out for him as your stomach threatens to release the contents of your dinner.Â
you begin to panic; you canât lose him. you attempt to swim towards him, but heâs quick to dive under the water with his ilu. thereâs absolutely no way youâll be able to catch up to him.
âcome!â loâak grips your upper arm to pull you towards his ilu that he summoned, âheâll be okay! come on!â
you reluctantly climb onto the back of his animal, wrapping your arms around loâaks waist as he dives after the rest of them- now going the opposite way of neteyam. you canât help but look back, in attempt to find him in the open water.Â
the boy halts underneath tall stalks of seaweed, hiding himself beneath the giant leaves as the boats pass by. you glance over at kiri and tuk hiding underneath the one beside you.Â
the main ship releases more boats, but ones that can now dive under the water. you tap loâakâs arm to get his attention, pointing at the submarines. he quickly takes off, dodging in between the sea grass to try and out run them.
theyâre quick to follow, their lights bright and menancing as they chase all of you through the underwater foliage.Â
somehow, you and loâak get split up from the rest of the group. the boy quickens the pace of his ilu, causing you to tighten your grip around him and tuck your head into his back. he looks back for a moment at the ship, his panic growing from the enemies close proximity.
a second ship drops in front of you, making you scream out loâaks name in the water. the boy sharply turns to the left to dodge the metal claws of the ship that reach out to grasp you.Â
loâak signs for you to jump off with him into the thick seaweed. your eyes go wide, but he doesnât wait for a response from you. he launches himself off his ilu, but not without grasping your hand to bring you with him.
you grab ahold of a thick stalk of grass, using them to hurl yourself forward through the water as the ilu draws the ships away. loâak leads you to a grass pod with an air pocket, looking up into it to see his little sister inside.Â
he swims upward along with you, grabbing your hand to pull you up into the air bubble with him. âtuk!â you both shout in surprise.Â
before you could ask where kiri is, the ships lights grow nearer as the sound of its engines gets louder. âwe have to go! itâs coming.â you shriek.Â
all three of you suck in a deep breath before plunging back into the water to swim in the opposite direction of them.Â
the ships start to surround you, giving you no other way than forward to swim away and escape. theyâre too fast, youâll never be able to out swim them.Â
one of the ships projectiles a net at all of you, catching only you and tuk inside of it. your limbs flail as you try to find a way out, pulling and tugging at the netted string but the material is too strong.Â
two ikrans dive into the water, grasping the net with their talons to hoist you and tuk out of the water. loâaks fingers latch onto the outside as the soldiers take off into the sky towards the mother ship.Â
âno! let us out!â you grunt as your hands try to rip at the net. you take out the knife neteyam gave you, dragging the serrated blade over the strings.Â
âhold on!â loâak yells as he unsheathes his blade from his hip to start cutting the material, âlook out! move your hand! move your hand!â
âhurry, loâak!â tuk whimpers in fear.Â
you and tuk scream as youâre dropped onto the hard pavement of the ship, now surrounded by armed avatars.Â
loâak moves away from the net, standing with his back toward you and tuk in attempt to protect you. he snarls and growls at the soldiers with his knife still in his hand, ready to attack at any second.Â
âdrop the weapon!â âput the weapon down!â they shout at him.Â
the boy steps forward, attempting to stab one of the men but they easily dodge his attack and shove him to the ground. two of them pin his arms beside him as he struggles under their grasp.Â
âno!â you screech, seething at the aggressors. you kick and wiggle as you attempt to push the heavy net off of you and tuk.Â
finally, you spot an opening. âcome on.â youâre the first to emerge from the net, with tuk right behind you.Â
both of you try to protect yourselves with your blades but the lab-made naâvi are too strong.Â
one of them grips the back of your neck, forcing you to the ground, while another grabs tuks wrist for her to drop her knife.Â
âhey! hey! what are you doing? stop!â someone shouts from behind you, âstop! donât hurt them!â
tuk yelps from beside you as she is held hostage by a soldier, trying her hardest to wriggle out of their tight grip.Â
your head turns on the wet pavement, looking behind you to see spider talking to loâak; the human boy is being held back by two men.Â
you snarl at the man on top of you, his knee sitting painfully on your back to hold you down. âknock it off! stay still!â his knee presses harder into your spine, making you cry out in pain.Â
âyouâre hurting her! stop!â spider screams out at the man on top of you.Â
one of the avatar men on the ikrans hops off of the animal, his heavy boots stomping on the damp ground.Â
âget back to the bridge.â he points at spider, ordering the soldiers beside him to bring him back inside, âand keep âem there!âÂ
that manâs voice, that american twang sounds familiar. itâs the man from the forest, the one who held kiri, loâak, and tuk hostage- the one who stole spider; itâs quaritch.Â
âyeah, i remember you.â he looks down at loâak, who hisses in reply.Â
âcuff âem to the rail. all of âem.â he points.Â
finally, the pain is alleviated from your back as youâre forced to your feet. you donât dare to try and wiggle out of the grip, knowing the attempt would end up with you getting hurt somehow.
âget on your knees. on âem.â the soldier behind you kicks the back of your legs, making them give out so you would fall to the ground. you grimace as the pavement cuts open the skin on your knees, hissing at the man behind you.Â
your hands are brought in front of you, and handcuffed to the rail along with tuk and loâak.Â
âfuck you!â you seethe through your teeth, your slightly sharpened canines bare wildly at the men. the soldier behind you goes to back hand you, making you cower to prepare for the blow.
quaritch takes a step toward you, with a simple raise of his hand he stops the mercenary from hitting you.Â
âthis oneâs red-hot.â he chuckles alongside his soldiers as he stares down at you with a cocky sneer.
âand where are you from?â he squats down to your level, looking over you intently. his gaze makes you uncomfortable, âyouâre not blue like the rest of âem⌠yet you breathe our air.â he hums curiously.Â
âiâm not telling you shit.â you spit out, your voice dripping with venom.Â
tuk grunts beside you as she tries to pull the handcuffs off the railing. your eyes slightly glance over at her, your heart aching for her.Â
âhalf human, half naâvi.â he unsheathes his combat knife, pressing the tip of it into your chin to angle your face up towards him.Â
the sharp tip of the knife pricks at your skin, daring to slice into it even from the most subtle movement from you.
âlet her go! donât hurt her!â loâak barks out, earning a kick from a soldier next to him.
âmm, iâve seen you. the forest right? youâre sullyâs oldest sons girl, arenât you?â the man tilts his knife to control your head as he examines you.Â
âlike i said⌠iâm not. telling. you. shit!â you hiss out, trying your hardest not to move your jaw from the knife being so close to cutting into you.
he finally pulls back when the loud yipping sounds of naâvi start to grow closer, stuffing his knife back into its cover on his hip, ânaâvi inbound!â a soldier yells. Â
your head turns toward the sound, watching them all fly in on their tsuraks. the soldiers around you ready up, aiming at them with their weapons.Â
the naâvi in the water halt, sitting dormant in the water as if theyâre examining the people onboard.Â
âdad!â tuk calls out desperately.Â
quaritch rips off loâaks comm device from his neck, connecting it to himself to be able to talk to his father.Â
âjake, tell your friends to stand down. you want your kids back, you come out alone.â he speaks to him, âyou know better than to test my resolve.â he pulls a handgun from his side, cocking it and pressing the barrel against the back of loâaks head.Â
âno! loâak!â you gasp, grunting as you pull harder on your restraints.
âi took you under my wing, jake. you betrayed me. you killed your own,â he continues, âgood men. good women. i will not hesitate to execute your kid.âÂ
you begin to weep, out of rage and fear. hot angry tears streak your salty face as you tug on the handcuffs that refuse to budge. âplease.â you beg, âdonât hurt him.âÂ
your words earn a blow from a steel-toed boot against your ribs, âshut up, stupid girl.â the air punches out of your lungs as you keel over from the pain.Â
âoffers fixinâ to expire. whatâs it gonna be?â quaritch speaks into the comm.Â
in the distance, you watch a single tsurak start to swim forward away from the group of naâvi soldiers. itâs jake sully, heâs coming. but if he comes up here, he will die. you cannot let any of them die.Â
your breathing is erratic as your brain goes into overdrive, thinking of every possible way to get out of this. to save jake, loâak, and tuk- not even worrying about yourself at this point.Â
âeasy shot.â a bald avatar says, but quaritch lowers the manâs weapon with his hand, âyou hit them now, they attack. wait till heâs on board.âÂ
loâak growls loudly from his words, causing the gun to press harder into the back of his head.Â
the next moments seemingly play out in slow motion. something you would have never assumed to be a possibility.Â
loâaks tulkun breaches the water, launching himself over the boat as it bellows loudly in the sky. the crew begin to scurry as payakan falls down, squashing multiple soldiers beneath its heavy body.Â
water splashes all over the three of you, shrieking in surprise as the entire ship rocks and groans from the blow it just took.Â
the crew begin to shoot at him, but payakan slides a fin across the ground to pummel them. loâak kicks a soldier to make him stumble forward, helping out payakan so he could slam his fin down onto the man.Â
the tulkuns fluke rises into the air before crushing a crane and sending a smaller ship flying.Â
your eyes dart towards the water, smiling wide as the metkayina and jake charge towards the boat. âtheyâre coming!â you yell to loâak and tuk.Â
payakan dodges an incoming explosive spear, sending it somewhere onto the ship to detonate with a loud boom. the tulkun letâs out one last deafening roar before slipping back into the water, but not without taking down a few more men.Â
âsullyâs inbound! i want eyes on!â quaritch orders as he steps away from the three of you.Â
a gunship is inbound in the sky, shooting multiple rounds into the water where the fleet of naâvi soldiers are underneath.Â
an ikran drops out of the clouds, appearing out of no where. a banshee from the forest, itâs neytiri.
the aircraft is quickly taken down, exploding into pieces as it pummels into a bank of rocks.Â
you watch the fight in the water, wincing at every person the naâvi brutally take down. âwe need to get out of here.â you whine, pulling on your handcuffs with all of your strength.Â
âcome on! come on!â you cry out as your feet push against the railing, trying your hardest to free yourself.
an explosion rocks the ship as a boat flies from the water and catches an engine on fire as it revs up. the main ship that youâre on accelerates forward at a terrifying speed.Â
âoh shit! oh shit! hold on!â you brace yourself as it runs over a bank of rocks, catapulting it into the sky, making it catch air underneath itâs belly.Â
the three of you hover in the air, the handcuffs being the only thing keeping you from flying away. the ship roughly crashes into the water, sending all three of you hurling towards the ground.Â
âyou okay?â loâak asks you and tuk, before busying himself to try and pull at the restraints again.Â
âthis boat is going down, and we need to get off of it right now!â you screech in a panic, leaning forward to try and rip the handcuffs off with your teeth.Â
in your peripheral vision, you see someone launch themselves out of the water and land on the pavement. your mouth pulls away from the material of the handcuffs, a giant smile pulling up on your face.Â
âneteyam!â tuk yells in excitement.Â
âi have never been so relieved to see you!â you cry out in happiness.Â
âneed some help?â he teasingly asks as he bends down and unsheathes his knife. the blade easily slices the fabric off of your wrists. you fight yourself from leaping forward to plant a big fat kiss on his perfect lips.Â
âshut up. come on. get us loose.â loâak hurries his brother as he goes down the line of people, cutting the restraints.Â
your wrists are sore as you pull them towards your body, but thatâs the least of your worries right now.Â
once tuk is loose, she throws herself at you for comfort. you quickly reciprocate by wrapping your arms around her to hold her close.
âitâs okay. get tuk out of here.â neteyam says to you as he steps over to loâak.Â
âwhat? no! iâm not leaving you.â you protest, making him growl in annoyance and send you a sharp look.Â
âbro, hurry up!â loâak complains, shaking his wrists against the metal railing.Â
âjust go! iâll be right behind you!â he yells back at you, as the knife cuts through loâaks handcuffs, âwhoâs the mighty warrior, huh?â you hear neteyam say to his brother. that would make you laugh if you werenât so worried right now.Â
you swiftly lift tuk up, running to the edge of the boat. youâre just about to jump, but tsireya pops up at the surface on her ilu. âhere! bring her to me!âÂ
tuk unravels herself from around you to hop onto the back of tsireyaâs animal. the little girl looks up at you worriedly, âitâs okay, tuk. weâll be right behind you!âÂ
tsireya nods and shoots you a worried smile before diving under the water. you quickly turn on your heel to see loâak has been freed and snagged an assault rifle from a fallen soldier.
âcome on. letâs go.â just as neteyam is about to run towards you, loâak goes the opposite way.
âtheyâve got spider. weâve gotta get him. come on.â loâak motions with his head, âcome on, bro! we canât leave him.âÂ
neteyam grunts loudly in frustration, and slams a fist against the ground before standing to his feet. he takes a moment to acknowledge you, looking over your body. his eyes catch the bloody scuffs on your knees, and a few scratches and bruises that litter your skin.Â
he steps forward, hands cupping your face. âare you alright?â he asks worriedly, his hands guide your body to turn in a three-sixty. his eyes look over your back for any sign of serious injury; like father like son.Â
âiâm okay, iâm okay. i swear.â you breathe out, slightly in a bit of shock but otherwise youâre okay.Â
your hands come up to rest against his rapidly rising chest, feeling his soft skin beneath your fingertips. you look up at him, his golden eyes are already staring down at you.Â
âseriously, bro? this is not the time for a reunion!â loâak shouts with evident annoyance in his voice.Â
neteyam chuckles from his brothers words, leaning down to swiftly peck your lips, âgo find a weapon. any weapon.â he urges you.Â
you smile up at him before scurrying around to try and scavenge anything from the soldiers that are scattered on the ground. you find the knife neteyam gifted you lodged under one of the dead soldiers bodies, you canât help but feel the sharp blade with the pad of your thumb.Â
thank eywa, you would hate yourself for eternity if you lost it.Â
neteyam grabs your hand to pull you along with him and his brother through the many hallways of the boat, with loâak leading.Â
âwe have to climb.â neteyam whispers in your ear as your eyes follow loâak. the boy easily scales the wall by holding onto pipes. neteyam goes next, âwatch me.â he climbs slowly for you.Â
you watch the exact placement of his feet and how he grips the metal with his hands. he follows the pipes up the wall and onto the ceiling, hanging upside down. âcome on, youâre next. you can do it.âÂ
you take a deep breath before hopping onto the pipes, copying his movements. until youâre hanging upside down and slowly climbing over an open room filled with the ships crew.Â
âevacuating, people. come on! letâs go!â a human man runs by screaming underneath you.
you squeak when your grip slightly falters, making neteyam stop in his tracks to look down at you through his legs.Â
âfor the love of the great mother, please donât fall.â he says to you, but it sounds as if heâs talking to himself.Â
the three of you slowly inch forward once the soldiers pass until you finally reach another metal platform. loâak is the first one to fall down, landing easily on his feet and then neteyam.Â
youâre still hanging on for dear life, not sure how youâre going to drop down that far without hurting yourself. especially your recently mended broken ankle.Â
âjust fall! iâll catch you!â he quietly calls up to you.
âare you sure? will you actually catch me?â you cry out, your muscles shaking under the pressure of holding up your entire body weight.
âyes! trust me!â he whisper-yells up to you, âloâak, help!â neteyam hisses at his brother.Â
before you could make the decision for yourself, your overworked muscles give out. you fall downward toward neteyam, your feet flail in the air. the scream that threatens to burst out from your lungs is held inside, scared it would give you away to the crew.
instead of feeling the pain of the pavement and metal coming in contact with your body, neteyam and loâak catch you.Â
your eyes are wide as you look over their shocked faces, âi canât believe i just fell.â you breathe out as they put you down on your feet.Â
âgracefully, of course.â neteyam teases you with a wink, his hand pushes gently against your lower back to lead you in between him and his brother as they walk forward.
loâak slowly starts to creep forward until he reaches the end of the yellow platform youâre on.Â
a few soldiers are walking by with spider, so the sully brothers take the opportunity to jump on top of them to attack. loâak uses his gun he found to swing and hit a few of the men, instead of actually pulling the trigger. neteyam punches a few of them and tosses one of them overboard.Â
you can do this, you can do this.Â
with a deep breath, you jump down from above. you land on top of the shoulders of one of the men, using the blunt handle of your knife to hit him across the face. your thighs suffocatingly squeeze around his head until he falls to the ground unconscious.
the man falls forward directly on his face after losing to your battle, giving you the opportunity to land gracefully on your feet.
you let out a gasp when gunshots go off behind your back, spinning around with wide eyes to see who was shot- but itâs thankfully just loâak using his gun on one of them.Â
you stand up from your spot, panting as all of you look over the bodies of the men you just took out.Â
âoh, hey!â spider huffs out towards you, his chest huffing. you awkwardly wave at him, giving him a small smile. âwe should go.â the human boy says next.
âletâs go.â neteyam says to you, grabbing your hand and jumping off with you to the lower ground floor.Â
âthanks, guys.â spider says breathlessly once all of you land safely.Â
your mouth opens to reply, but across the room two avatar mercenaries emerge and spot the four of you, âoh no.â you breathe out.Â
âgo!â spider screams, his voice slightly cracks.Â
loâak attempts to aim and shoot, but neteyam shoves his gun down and pushes him forward.Â
âgo, go, go!â neteyams hand tightly grips your wrist to pull you behind him as he runs forward, ducking his head to dodge the bullets.Â
âoh fuck! oh shit!â you screech as youâre blindly lead by neteyam as the bullets fly past your head.
the four of you scurry behind a wall. neteyam pushes you towards spider, the force making you stumble into the boy. neteyam snatches loâaks gun from his hands, âgive me that!âÂ
he barely aims the gun at the men, and just starts pulling the trigger, âgo, go, go!â he shouts, and points towards the open water.Â
spider and loâak are the first to jump, but you refuse to leave neteyam behind, âgo! what are you doing? get out of here!â he screams at you, hiding behind cover before going to shoot at them again.Â
âscrew that! iâm not leaving you, neteyam!â you argue with him, pressing your back farther into the wall as the bullets shoot into the concrete behind you.Â
âaah fuck! why do you have to be so stubborn?â he grunts at you, continuing to shoot at them. his gun clicks, indicating heâs out of ammo.Â
âcome on!â he throws the gun to the side, extending his arm to grasp your hand tightly to run towards the water.Â
the soldiers continue to shoot at you until you both leap over the yellow railing and into the ocean. something hard pelts your right shoulder, making you wince as you fall towards the ocean.Â
the pressure of the water makes your hands separate, screaming out his name as he is sucked away from you.Â
once your eyes open under the salty seawater, all you can see is bubbles and the usually blue water is slightly stained red. your arms lift to paddle under the boat, but an excruciatingly sharp pain shoots from your right side.Â
using your left arm, you swim under the boat and pull yourself to the surface on the other side. gasping for air, you cry out hoarsely and cough as you bob under the water. the salty liquid fills your mouth whenever you try to speak.Â
âcome on!â you hear tsireyaâs voice coming from somewhere, but the waves continue to knock roughly against your head. every time your head sinks under the water, the crimson color worsens.Â
âneteyam!â you gargle out. every word you attempt to speak sparks at your nerve-endings, fueling the fire of the agony that ripples throughout your entire body.Â
âoh shit. sheâs shot!â loâak screams, the sound of rapid swimming grows louder as someone comes over to you.Â
just as your body starts to sink again, an arm strongly slides under your arms from around your back. you gasp for air once you breach the surface, sputtering out the water inside of your mouth.Â
âhelp me! someone help me!â neteyams voice is loud next to your head, making your ears ring. your breath rapidly puffs from your mouth as you seek for some sort of solace from your pain.Â
another arm wraps around your body as youâre dragged forward in the water. you cough but instead it comes out like a wheeze. oh, thatâs not good.Â
your eyes slightly squint open, only being able to see flashes of blue as your limp body is tugged onto the saddle of an ilu.Â
you let out a piercing cry as youâre forced to sit up on the animal. instinctively, you want to curl in on yourself, but the person behind you holds you up with their arms around your abdomen.Â
âit hurts!â you sob out loudly, which crying just makes the pain even worse. it feels as if the right side of your body has been replaced with ice and electricity that is wired directly to your spine.Â
you overhear spider say something along the lines of, âsheâs bleeding really bad.â which makes the panic grow even more in your chest.
âiâm sorry, iâm sorry! everything is gonna be okay. bro, go!â neteyam shouts from behind you, pulling you back against his chest.Â
the ilu underneath you chirps as it takes off in the water, âitâs okay. we got you, i got you. hurry up!â his voice cracks as he desperately screams at his brother.Â
âiâm trying!â loâak shouts back at him as the ilu picks up speed to rush forward.Â
âthey have kiri and tuk!â tsireya cries out from the fin of the ilu, making your eyes burst open from a rush of adrenaline. âwe⌠have to go back!â
you attempt to sit up but instead you fall forward weakly onto loâaks back in front of you. your cheek presses flat against his damp skin as you struggle to breathe, âwe canât! we canât go back!â loâak yells out, continuing forward.Â
âdad-! eagle eye! y/n is shot! we need help!â neteyam uses his comm to talk to his father. his voice is frantic as he speaks to him, making you think your wound is worse than you think.Â
âhurry, loâak! dad is over there.â the boy behind you slightly moves, indicating that heâs pointing in a direction you canât see.Â
it seems like an eternity until the ilu slows down, the creature squaks loudly in the rough water as the waves crash over your bodies.Â
âhelp!â neteyam shouts from behind you as he jumps into the water, âloâak, lower her to me!âÂ
you let out a hoarse cough, your breathing still coming out in short bursts. you can barely open your eyes as youâre lowered into the rough water by loâak.Â
neteyam grabs ahold of your head, cradling you in his arms along with tsireya and spider holding onto your body so you wouldnât float away.Â
âhurry!â she yells over the sound of the waves breaking against the shore.Â
âoh no.â you hear jake rush over to your side, opening your heavy eyelids to see him leaning over you from standing on the rock.Â
âhurry, please!â neteyam cries out, holding onto you tight.Â
âitâs gonna be okay, baby. i promise. my dads gonna help you.â his voice shakes as he speaks to you.Â
you raspily cough as another wave pelts your bodies, gurgling out the water as your head lulls to the side. âno, no, my love. stay with me.â one of his wet hands cups your cheek to pull your face back up, âhurry up! pull us up!â he yells at his father.Â
it seems like everybodyâs hands are on you as youâre lifted out of the water and into the air. two different hands cradle your head, and others hoist your legs up.Â
youâre gently laid down onto the surface of the rock, a sob wracks through your lungs as you wheeze.
your breath comes in short, ragged gasps as you struggle to calm your racing heart. your chest feels tight, as if an invisible noose is constricting around your lungs.Â
your eyes finally open fully, tears clouding your vision. neteyam and jake are the ones directly beside you, their heads covering the cloudy sky.Â
âhold on.â jake warns you as he lifts you up to inspect the exit wound on your shoulder. your wound throbs, exploding in your head with a blinding whiteness.Â
the feeling makes you squirm, and gasp from the sheer amount of agony.
neteyams hand desperately holds onto yours, his watery eyes look down at you before glancing up at his dad. âdo something! help her!âÂ
the air whips around your body, causing your wet skin to feel colder than it should. your hand grips neteyams tightly, practically crushing his fingers.
jake presses one of his large hands against your chest to create pressure on your bleeding wound. you hiccup out a weak cry from the tenderness of it, writhing under his hand.Â
âitâs okay. itâs okay.â jake shooshes you gently, his eyes darting to his eldest son with a worried look.Â
ânete...â you croak out between your rapid breaths, making the boy look down at you.Â
âeverythingâs gonna be okay. iâm so sorry.â he repeats, making you shake your head. he goes to protest but neytiri arrives on her ikran, leaping off and rushing over to join the crowd gathered around you.Â
she gasps in shock and drops to her knees beside neteyam, one of her hands comes up to rest on your knee for comfort.Â
you give her a weak smile, your bottom lip quivering as you do so. you look over the people around you, seeing how theyâre all crying for you. wow, it really seems like youâre dying right now.Â
jake sits back, his hand still pressed firmly on your chest. he looks off in the distance as if heâs listening to something.Â
âwhere are your sisters?â he questions neteyam and loâak, his eyes darting between them, âyour sisters. where are they?â his voice grows louder.Â
âtheyâre on the ship.â you groan out, sputtering out a wet cough.Â
jake looks down at you, his eyes widening in fear. âneteyam, you stay here with her. keep pressure on it, it didnât go all the way through. weâre gonna go get them.â jake transfers the job over to neteyam to keep you alive, and you can see the panic on the boys features.Â
neytiri stands alongside jake, ready to fight for her daughters, âwhere exactly are they?â jake asks you, but you have no idea. Â
âtheyâre.. theyâre at the moon pool.â spider looks up at jake whoâs face contorts in confusion, âat the well deck. midships?â he tries to simplify it, but somehow makes it more complicated.Â
âcome on, iâll show you.â spider stands and motions to the water.Â
âloâak, come!â neytiri calls her son, motioning towards her ikran for him to follow her.
the younger boy wipes his tears and taps your leg, âyou better be all good by the time we get back.â he points at you as he was threatening you.
a shiver wracks your body, but you smile at him through the pain, âshe will, yeah?â neteyam looks down at you with a watery smile, making you nod in response.Â
jake crouches beside you one last time, his hand resting on the top of your head. âtry to control your breathing, okay? i know it hurts, but hyperventilating will make it worse. weâll come back for you.â he gives you a soft smile before standing up to walk away with spider towards the water. Â
nausea starts to rise in your belly from the immense pain, making you feel as if youâre going to pass out.Â
before anything happens, you have to let neteyam know how you truly feel about him. you donât care that tsireya is beside you, the only thing that matters right now is him.Â
âneteyamâŚâ you cough roughly, forcing him to look down at you, âyes, yes, my love. iâm here.â his voice trembles.Â
you admire his saddened features for a moment; how his skin crinkles between his eyebrows, how his perfect lips quiver⌠the streak of your blood that runs across his cheek from inevitablely tucking his unruly braids behind his ear, and his big round eyes that are glassy with tears. heâs trying his hardest to bottle in his emotions to stay strong for you, to keep you calm⌠your love for him is unconditional.Â
âi love you. i always have.â your voice is almost like a whisper.
a sob escapes from his lips, dropping his head down onto your forehead softly before lifting back up to look down at you.Â
ânga yawne lu oer.â you repeat, choking on a cough that burns at your throat. you can feel your head growing lighter and lighter from the amount of blood youâre losing.Â
he can tell by the dim look in your eyes that your condition is worsening by the second, âi love you so much. more than anyone would ever know.â his voice cracks as his emotions finally spill over.Â
his head hangs between his shoulders as he sobs, his body shakes with each one that tears through him. you muster up the rest of your strength to lift your arm to cup his cheek and tilt his head towards you.
and suddenly, once his eyes are on yours, the feeling of warmth spreads throughout your cold, damp body. the pain slowly starts to fade as your mind succumbs to the sleepiness tugging at your brain. his golden eyes lull you to sleep, your hand drops from his face and lands on your body with a thud.Â
neteyamâs heart rate picks up as he watches you go limp and your hand intertwined within his loses itâs strength, âno, no, no, no!â his eyes frantically look over your face as your eyelids fall shut.Â
âno!â he screeches in pain, it feels as if his heart has been ripped in two. he cries out your name as he lifts your upper body up to cradle you, âplease no! great mother, please-!â heâs cut off when his voice cracks and goes an octave higher than it should have.Â
tsireya cries silently next to you, her hand reaches out to rest on his shoulder for some sort of comfort to him.Â
neteyam pulls your body close to his, tucking your head under his chin as he rocks you back and forth, âmy love, you canât leave me. iâm so sorry. i should have protected you.âÂ
the boy feels himself growing smaller as he holds your limp body in his arms. this heartbreak is different for him. it feels cold and weighs heavy in his chest like drying concrete. he shouldâve put you in front of him- he shouldâve taken the bullet for you.Â
your body twitches in his grasp, making him pull back to look down at you. he leans down to bring his ear to your mouth, feeling the very subtle puffs of air leaving your nose.Â
before he could rule out your death, his fingers find the pulse points scattered along your body. your heartbeat is weak, but still there underneath your skin.Â
âsheâs alive.â he whispers into the air in shock, his eyes look at tsireya, âsheâs alive! sheâs breathing!â he exclaims through his tears.Â
âwe canât wait for them. we need to get her to the village right away.â tsireya stands to run to the water to summon her ilu with a few clicks emitting from her throat.Â
the animal chitters as itâs head breaches the surface. neteyam picks you up to walk you to the edge, tsireya helps him into the water with you and onto the saddle with her before she takes off back towards awaâatlu.Â
âŚ
the sound of beeping is the first thing you hear when you wake up, and the sound of your own sluggish breathing. something is tightly wrapped around your right arm, your shoulder, and across your breasts; to replace your top.Â
slowly, your eyes begin to flutter open, instantly being met with a pair of glowing yellow eyes belonging to norm.Â
maybe you died and woke up back in the forest.Â
âhey, good morning. how you feelin?â he asks you before glancing down at a tablet in his hand.Â
your brain takes in everything around you, all the gear brought in by norm and most likely max too. the marui youâre in is tiny, definitely not the one you lived in with the sullys. the iv stand that holds a bag of fluids thatâs connected to your good arm. the amount of mobility in your neck isnât the greatest, forcing you to only be able to use your eyes.Â
you can tell youâre laying on a cot with a blanket over your body; a familiarly weaved one.Â
as you blink away the sleep from your eyes, your memories starting to flood back into your brain. panic settles in the deepest part of your chest, washing over your body like a tidal wave, âwhereâs neteyam?â your hoarse voice croaks nastily from your throat being tremendously dry.Â
norm motions behind him with his head, âheâs sleeping over there. heâs been waiting for you to wake up for quite a bit now.âÂ
your head painfully turns to the side to look at your boy, who is sleeping sitting up. his arms are crossed over his chest, eyelashes fluttered shut over his cheeks. he looks so peaceful.Â
âwhat happened?â you mumble softly, now turning your attention back to norm.Â
âwellâŚâ he sighs, âyou were shot and we had to get the bullet out that was lodged in your right lung. youâre honestly really lucky to be alive.â norm simplifies it with a pitiful smile as he looks at you, ânow, let me wake your lover boy up.âÂ
norm stands to take a step towards neteyam, slightly shaking his shoulder to tell him that youâre awake. you notice how is arms are the first to fall, then his head. his body suddenly realizes itâs time to wake up, and then his eyes open. he blinks wildly as he attempts to understand what norm is saying to him.Â
then his eyes are on yours, his golden-honey colored eyes you adore so much.Â
neteyam practically shoves norm out of the way to crawl forward, sliding on his knees. before speaking any words to you, he leans down to press a gentle kiss against your lips which you gladly reciprocate; so soft itâs almost as if heâs afraid he would break you.Â
ââŚand thatâs my cue to leave.â norm shuffles out of the marui to give you two some privacy.Â
âi canât believe youâre awake. i thought i was going to lose you.â his eyes refuse to look at you as he stares at your heart rate on the monitor, his breathing hitches as he fights back tears.Â
âneteyam⌠you know nothing could break us apart, not even a bullet.â you say jokingly, which he slightly chuckles at.Â
you try to laugh along with him, but a cough replaces it instead. pain shoots through the right side of your body, but thankfully not as bad as it was before. he frowns at your discomfort, his hand on your upper arm rubs soft patterns into your skin.Â
âiâm never going to let you out of my sight again. you know that right?â he lets out a breath, leaning down to lay his chin against your good shoulder. he looks up at you with his pretty smile.Â
âwait, is everyone else okay? kiri? tuk?â worry settles in your chest. you didnât even get to find out if they were rescued before you went unconscious.Â
âdonât worry. everybody is okay. scratched up, but okay.â he breathes out, his eyes dance over your face before leaning down to kiss you once more.Â
before your lips could even graze against each others, someone clears their throat from the entrance of the marui.Â
neteyam lifts his head up, his ears pinning back in embarrassment when he sees his dad standing there. you canât help but smile at jake sully, happy to see him in one piece.Â
âhey, kid.â he ducks his head as he takes a step inside. as he grows closer, you notice the stitched cuts that litter his blue skin.Â
âouch. what happened to you?â you jokingly ask him, which makes the man laugh softly as he squats down to the level your cot.Â
âcould ask you the same thing. how ya feeling?â he briefly looks over at his son before back at you.Â
âiâm alive⌠and probably on a bunch of pain meds so iâm feeling ppprrretty good.â you softly laugh out, slightly wincing from the dull pain.Â
âalright, come on in.â he waves at doorway.Â
you watch as two pairs of eyes emerge from the doorway, belonging to tuk and kiri. the little girl smiles when she makes eye contact with you, running over to your side.Â
kiri takes her time to walk up to you, sitting beside her older brother as tuk pushes her dad out of the way to hug you.Â
âgentle, gentle.â jake warns her.Â
âi missed you.â she whispers. your free arm pats her back, before she pulls back and sits down next to her dad.Â
your free hand is quickly taken away from tuk as kiri grabs it and holds onto you. âi thank the great mother everyday for keeping here you with us.â her serene voice speaks softly to you.Â
âiâm so happy all of you are okay.â you feel your emotions starting to get the best of you, a small tear slides out of the corner of your eye.Â
âweâre so happy that youâre okay.â jake says, smiling m down at you.Â
âwhereâs neytiri and loâak?â you slightly clear your throat, your eyes darting over the sullyâs surrounding you.Â
almost divine timing as loâak slides through the entrance with his mother following, âweâre here.â neytiri gives you a soft smile as they tower over you from the end of your bed.Â
norm peeks inside, his eyebrows furrowing. the sully family packed themselves so tight in here to visit you, âalright people. let her rest.â norm lectures, ushering them out one by one.Â
âif he thinks iâm leaving you, he is very wrong.â neteyam whispers in your ear, making you grin.
âcâmon, neteyam.â jake says from the doorway, motioning with his hand for his son to follow. he sighs loudly as he presses a kiss to your temple and standing up. he canât say no to his father, as much as he wish he could.Â
âcoming.â he grumbles as neteyam looks back at you to smile briefly before following his dad.Â
your eyes roll back to stare at the ceiling, tracing every tight weave of the fabric that makes up the marui. norm checks a few things by your beside, marking down your current vitals and hooking up another bag of iv fluids.Â
âyouâll be better in no time.â norm smiles down at you.Â
the next few weeks go by terribly slow, youâre bed-ridden for most of the time; until norm or max decide itâs time for you to get up and stretch your legs.Â
even the slightest movement is strenous. as if you just ran around awaâatlu and back, your stamina is just not the same as it was. you can barely make it past the marui outside before you have to turn back to lay down.Â
today is the day that your stitches are being taken out, finally giving you free access to examine your wound. you crane your head down, bringing your chin to your chest to stare at it. itâs merely a discolored scar, no longer a hole, that is perfectly sealed. almost as if nothing has happened.Â
you take a deep breath, looking up at norm and max with a smile, âthanks for everything. seriously.âÂ
they both nod and smile at you, âof course. anything for you. we couldnât let anything happen to you, we promised your mom and you that.â max replies.Â
the mention of your mother makes your heart tighten in your chest, but you push the thought to the back of your mind. ânow, you have to follow our instructions. no exercise, no crazy swimming, you can get in the water but nothing more than slow wading and/or floating.â norm points out.
âoh, and when we say exercise, we mean nothing that will make your heart and respiration rate go up too much.â max adds, eyeing you suspiciously.Â
your eyes look over them, a bit confused on what they are insinuating. finally it clicks, they mean sex. heat rises from your chest and settles onto your cheeks, slightly wiggling in your seat uncomfortably.Â
âoh my god. shut up. iâm not doing any of whatever youâre saying.â you shamefully put your head in your left hand, still being wary on using your right one yet.Â
âokay good.â norm nods with an awkward laugh, âalright, well the worlds waitinâ for you! go out and get it.â he motions to the door.Â
âyeah, yeah.â you murmur and stand up from your sitting position on the bed.Â
just as your mind ponders on where neteyam could be, his face peeks around the corner. a big smile forms on his face when he sees you standing up.
you wave at norm and max before walking outside into the sunshine, âah thereâs my girl.â his large hands consume your waist as he leans down to press a soft kiss to your lips. you savor the feeling of properly being able to kiss him.Â
he pulls back from you, his eyes glance down over your face with heavy eyelids. âi canât believe youâre standing up right now.â his fingertips softly press into your fleshy waist out of excitement.Â
the touch is so subtle but it sends a visceral jolt down your spine. all you can do is smile at him and lean into his chest for a hug. the boy wraps his arms gently around your shoulders, pulling you in closer.Â
âi love you.â you mumble against his warm skin. being the first time youâve said it to him since you were hurt.Â
neteyam squeezes your frame under his muscular arms and kisses the top of your head. âi love you.â his voice rumbles deep in his chest; the sound comforts you.Â
âi have something to show you.â he hums as he pulls away, âa little welcome back gift.âÂ
your eyebrows raise in curiosity, âoh really? what is it?â you attempt to pry, but by the looks of how his face scrunches up he isnât going to budge on his secret.Â
âlets go. i must show you.â he unravels his arms from around you to grab one of your hands. heâs gentle as he leads you towards the beach.
the warm sands sinks in between your toes, making you gasp in awe from the feeling. oh how youâve missed this. the heat of the sun beats down on your head, enveloping your body in a euphoric state.Â
the shells sitting at the shore rustle under the soft waves, creating natural music as they roll around.Â
neteyam continues to lead you down to the water. you let out a happy cackle as the sea foam tickles your toes, âthis is amazing.âÂ
he stares at you in awe from how excited you are to be with the sea again. the rays of the sun catch your features perfectly, making him want to melt into the sand. youâre ethereal to him.Â
the clicking noise he makes takes your attention away from the water. you carefully watch the sea, taking notice to something stirring beneath the surface. you almost jump back in surprise when an ilu bursts from the water and squaks loudly at you both. Â
âyou couldâve given us a little bit of a warning, buddy!â neteyam laughs loudly as he steps farther into the water, now knee high.Â
oh, how careful he is with you. his hand tightly grips yours as he approaches his bonded animal, âyou ready?â he glances back at you.Â
you give him a nod of approval, letting him pull you forward in the water. his hands grip your waist gently to lift you up to place you on the back of the saddle.Â
has he been working out since youâve been out of commission? the way he picks you up like you weigh nothing makes your belly burst with butterflies. itâs so attractive.Â
heâs next to climb up, easily situating himself in front of you as he brings his kuru forward to make tsaheylu. your arms instinctively slither around his slender body, pressing yourself into his back.Â
âhold on to me. iâm still gonna go slow, okay?â he says to you, slightly turning his head to the side to look behind him.Â
âletâs go! letâs go!â you bounce excitedly as you look up at him. he chuckles in response as the ilu takes off, slower than its usual pace.Â
instead of diving beneath the water, neteyam keeps both of you above the surface. the water splashes up on your legs, barely misting you in the face.Â
you admire the village from this angle, feeling as if youâve taken it all for granted before the accident. itâs always been beautiful to you, but now you take the time to look at every little detail; treasuring life.
the trip isnât long, but itâs very secluded from the rest of the village. he follows a saltwater canal that runs between the large mangrove trees. soon the sun is taken away from you by their large branches and leaves.Â
the darkness reveals the bioluminescence during the day, your eyes ogle over the side of the ilu. youâve never seen anything like this before, not even in the forest.Â
âneteyam. where are you taking me?â your voice is quiet, afraid any harsh or loud tone would disturb the peacefulness of it all.Â
âtsireya showed loâak, kiri, and i this sort of cove,â your eyes continue to dart around the new environment, âit sits hidden somewhere amongst these trees.â he mumbles as he searches for any familiar landmark.Â
the canal splits off into two, his gut feeling is to take the right one. the water glows blue from the motion of the animal, indicating he has taken the correct path.Â
the sound of running water grows louder as he continues forward, but the ilu slows down to a stop. âwe have to swim the rest of the way. it is too shallow for him to swim.âÂ
neteyam climbs off the animal, standing up since his feet can touch the ground. heâs about chest high in the water as he reaches up for you, âhere goes nothing.â you mumble to yourself, letting his hands carefully grab you to hoist you down to his level.Â
the boy helps you float onto his back, âhold onto my neck. you canât stand here and i donât want you to swim too much.âÂ
you smile at his kindness, how he continues to worry about you. your legs wrap around his torso under the water, your arms drape around his neck loosely. you slightly cringe from the tightness in your right arm, huffing slightly from the pain.Â
âyou good?â he asks as he continues forward down the creek, âyep. all good.â you mumble quietly.Â
your eyes canât help but dance around. this place is magical, like something you would read from a human storybook.Â
the soft flow of water that ripples from his movement sends serotonin chemicals to your brain. the sound of a waterfall grows louder by the second, but you see nothing in front of you.Â
âhere we are.â he stops for a moment, before pushing back the dense sea vines that hang from a thick branch.Â
behind the leaves are brightly colored seawater pools that cascade down into a bigger one. each one is a slightly brighter blue, almost neon from the bioluminescent glow.Â
you gasp in shock from the overwhelming amount of color as neteyam walks forward. he steps out of the water onto a bank, letting you down off of his back. âbeautiful, right?â heâs almost breathless from the view, and heâs seen it once before.Â
you take a hesitant step forward, watching how your foot sinks into the glowing sand. âthis is absolutely breathtaking, neteyam.âÂ
youâre speechless, unable to wrack any other words out except that itâs breathtaking. you dip a toe into the water, almost leaping into it out of happiness from how warm it is.Â
âthese are sacred pools to the metkayina. they are connected to eywa.â he informs you as he sinks forward into the water that sparkles brightly under the motion.
you follow him into the cove, eyes taking in the foliage and rocks that surrounds the pools. âyou can be within the great mother here. to connect to her, to pray, to give birth, to marry, and to mate.â the last word is almost whispered out amongst the steam that sits above the surface.Â
your body becomes hot, whether itâs from the temperature of the water or his words. once neteyam is waist deep in the main pool, he turns around as he grabs his braid off of his back.Â
almost as if it sensed his presence, a bright pink leave-like tendril unravels from the rocky side of the pool. you watch as he connects his queue to it, bright pink and glowing along with the rest of the world around you.
neteyams eyes flutter shut and his shoulders drop down slightly, his breathing evens out as he relaxes. your eyes dance across his abdomen, following the perfectly etched muscles in his blue skin.Â
you follow the stripes that litter his body, and the freckles that sparkle in the darkness. your eyes catch the beaded neck piece he always seems to wear, smiling as you step forward.Â
one of his eyes peek open to watch you shuffle closer, outstretching his hand for you to take. you reach behind your back with your good arm to grip your thick braid, bringing it around to connect it to the plant.Â
your breath hitches in your chest from the feeling of uniting with eywa. your grip on his hand tightens as the feeling grows stronger, washing over your nervous system with harmonious tranquility.Â
your breathing evens out, and the ache of pain subsides in your chest. you feel as if youâre floating, or have drank a little too much of the nectar you sneak during celebrations.Â
you lean into his chest, your skin bursts with tingles all over your body once you touch him. the boy almost groans in pleasure, but holds it back for his own dignity.Â
you revel in the feeling of your hand gliding up his lengthy arm, feeling every little fuzzy hair. neteyam stares down at you, watching your movements with heavy eyelids.Â
âi want to be one with you.â he blurts out, making your doe-like eyes shift from his body to his face.Â
âwith me?â your voice is slightly shaky, whether itâs from the effects of the plant or nervousness.
he unlatches his braid from the plant, motioning with a nod of his head for you to do the same. you gulp as he holds his kuru in between your bodies, ready to officially bond with you.Â
the pink wisps float and reach towards the end of your braid in your hand, begging to connect with yours. you glance up at the boy in front of you, who waits patiently for you to connect them.Â
you take a deep breath before moving yours closer, watching how intimately the extensions of yourselves wind up and tangle together.Â
both you, and neteyam, suck in a sharp breath through your teeth in sync. the feeling of your nervous systems connecting creates a deep crater of heat in your lower belly.Â
neteyam can sense your arousal; he can feel you. how youâre pulsating between your thighs for him, and your nerve endings that make him feel the same way.Â
âoh, neteyam.â you mewl out, stepping forward to press your hand against his warm chest.Â
as soon as your head angles up to look at up, he swoops down to catch your lips with his own. sparkles explode, making both of you cry out in amazement.Â
teeth clack together as his hand presses into your lower back to pull you even closer to him. your hot body against his puts him in a euphoric state, begging you silently to let him touch you.Â
he leans forward, almost bending you backwards to deepen the heated kiss. your tongues become one as you both grow more desperate for each other, to feel more.Â
he whines as one of his hands slide up your side, his fingertips feel as if theyâve been replaced with feathers. his large hand hovers beneath your breast, slightly pulling back from kissing you, âcan i touch youâŚâ his voice is shallow, with the slight twinge of desperation.Â
âyou can do anything you want. please.â your eyes flutter open to be met by his hungry gaze.Â
he presses forward, connecting your lips once again to continue where he left off. his hand grips your breast that fits perfectly in the palm of his hand, while his other hand busies itself by sliding over the swell of your ass.Â
his fingers are so long, they curl against your inner thigh. so close, yet so far from where you need him the most.Â
you both moan out when he finally touches you, his thumb swipes over your sensitive nipple, causing a whimper to tumble out of your lips.Â
âi love how you sound.â he heaves into the kiss, making another high-pitched mewl puff into his mouth from you.Â
the boy gently pulls away from the kiss, keeping your bottom lip between his teeth before releasing it. he watches how it bounces back into place, before swooping down to your neck.Â
he leaves kisses and tiny love bites under your jaw and shoulder, as his hand continues to tease you against your inner thigh.Â
he slightly brushes his fingertips against the cloth that separates his hand from your core, making you wail out in shock.Â
he pulls back from his attack on your neck, his eyes intently look over your face. âi want to make love with you⌠here. if youâll have me.â his voice is almost nervous.
you can feel the anxiety biting at your chest, itching to make itself known but you push it away. youâre safe with him, and you know he will always be gentle with you.Â
âi want you, neteyam. all of you.â you nod in agreement, one of your arms lift to cup the back of his neck to pull him down to your level.Â
he smiles as you kiss him, grinning like a wild man. he pulls back slightly, nuzzling your noses together, âi love you so much.â he whispers into your shared breath as he continues to keep eye contact with you.Â
âi love you.â you reply before closing the space between your mouths.Â
neteyam quickly takes control, moving his hand away from your breast to cup both of his hands under your ass to lift you slightly out of the water.Â
he presses your back down against a rocky bank over to the side. it sits shallow in the pool, letting the warm water sit dormant against your upper thighs.Â
the sully boy slots himself in between your legs as he kisses down your chest, careful over your wound until he makes it to the waistband of your loincloth.Â
his big round golden eyes stare down at you, the look he gives you makes any sort of reservation disappear from your mind.Â
you nod fervently to give him the okay. his long fingers tentatively hook into the thin cloth to unravel it from your body.Â
once the cloth is discarded somewhere to the side, he leans down to kiss you. his lips work magic against yours as if he knows your body like the back of his hand.Â
his mouth strays away from yours, pressing wet kisses down your neck until he meets your shoulder.Â
âsevin nĂŹtxan lu aynga nang.â his tempting voice growls into your ear. the feeling of his breath washing over your skin sends shockwaves throughout your nerves. âyou are so pretty.â
his hand ghosts down your abdomen, tracing lines down your tender skin. at last, he finally touches you, making you cry out into humid air.Â
neteyam letâs out a gasp as he mouths at your neck. the same feeling transferred over to him through your connection.
a feeling thatâs so foreign to you, but something that you never want to stop. you let your hands explore his body as the pleasure sparks between your legs. your fingers dance over his biceps, across his chest and up to his neck.Â
countless sounds tumble from your lips, your back arches off the damp rock as you moan out his name. neteyam chuckles deeply against your lips from the desperation in your voice, âalmost, baby.â he hushes you as he dives into the kiss.Â
soon his hand pulls away, leaving your chest heaving and the close proximity of your climax withering away. âwhhhyyyâŚâ you whine, your thighs clench around his hips to pull him closer.Â
ânot yet.â he hums. his forearm sits heavy next to your head, slightly leaning to the side to unclasp the loin cloth that sits around his hips. he throws it behind him somewhere, not caring if it lands in the water. itâs the last thing on his mind when he has you underneath him.Â
you canât help but glance down between your bodies then back up to him with wide eyes. his eyes look over your face, seeing the apprehension in your eyes. âdo you trust me?â he mumbles.Â
you intently watch how his wet lips move as he talks to you, almost in a trance. âyeah, of course i do.â you breathe out shakily.Â
he grins from your response, âi will always be careful with you, muntxa.âÂ
the new nickname makes your heart soar- he referred to you as his mate. he notices your emotions growing higher, by the way your eyes go glossy. he can read you like a book.Â
his lips press into yours, passionate and desperate as he situates himself below.Â
this is much different from his hand, the pressure makes your fingernails dig deep into his shoulder blades. the gravelly sound he makes sends flutters up your spine, forcing your brain into overdrive to evoke more of those from his lips.Â
youâre the one making him feel this way. desire clouds your thoughts, your legs aid in pushing his hips down until he is flush against your body. he stills for a moment, breathing heavily into your mouth as if heâs holding himself back.Â
the next few movements of his hips make you cry out in ecstasy. heâs quick to pull more out of your chest, a flurry of his names and pleas for more.Â
his lips leave marks scattered across your neck, whispering praises into your ear as your body lurches underneath him. he doesnât hold back with his own noises which forces you closer to the edge.Â
your body lets go, arms tightening around his neck to trap him close to your body as your thighs seize around his waist. you choke out a cry of his name, feeling his tail wrap around your ankles to lock you in. Â
his teeth sink into the meaty flesh of your shoulder, a true sign of becoming his mate. you wince from the slight pain, but itâs nothing you canât handle.Â
his body stills and trembles on top of you, indicating his release. he pulls his mouth away from your neck, gasping for breath. his eyes examine the two red spots from his canines that pierced you.Â
one of his hands come up to swipe the beads of blood away from your skin before leaning up to look at you. his forehead leans against yours, noses slotting together. âmy love, you are amazing.â he murmurs breathlessly and lays his entire body weight on top of you.Â
you cackle loudly from the pressure of his body on yours, âget off⌠canât breathe.â you throw your head back as you jokingly let out a wheeze.
neteyam sharply lifts off of you, his eyes wide as he looks over you wildly. his quick movements give you whiplash, he sits back on his heels and stares at you worriedly. âare you okay? iâm sorry. i didnât think you wouldnât be able to breathe. i-.â his voice trails off when his hands rub over his face.Â
you sit up in your spot, your legs still loosely draped around his hips. your small hands reach up to wrap around his wrists, pulling his hands away from his face. âoh neteyam. i was just joking.â your voice is soft.Â
he flies forward, all arms as he wraps himself around you, his head presses into the crook of your neck. one of his large hands cradles the back of your head, âiâm so sorry. i didnât mean to upset you.â you mumble out against his chest.Â
âit just- that noise. it reminded of me of everything that happened⌠when you were.. were hurt.â his voice croaks, obviously holding back his tears.Â
your heart aches for him, guilt sitting heavy in your chest. âi love you. iâm so sorry.â you sniffle, holding onto his waist so tight like as he would be ripped away from you at any moment.Â
âdonât be sorry. itâs not your fault.â he shudders, pulling back slightly. he kisses your forehead and sucks in a deep breath through his nose, âi love you.âÂ
you take a deep breath before unraveling yourself from his body, âletâs go in the water.â you mumble, trying to change the subject. youâre still sensitive to the mention of your âaccidentâ.
he smiles down at you, his thumb and forefinger pinches your chin to look into your eyes. he wiggles out of your grip to slide backwards into the cerulean water. his hand grabs your ankle to carefully tug you along with him, âcome.â he laughs.Â
you use your arms to lift yourself up and hop beside him. he instantly pulls you into his chest, rocking side to side on heels. you relax in his embrace before he unravels one of his arms to pluck something out of the water.Â
your eyes open to see him holding up his loin cloth, itâs soaked and dribbling into the water. you canât help but stifle a giggle into your fist, âso thatâs where it went.âÂ
neteyam rolls his eyes jokingly, a smile on his face as he takes a step back from you. he swoops down to peck a kiss to your lips before walking to the edge to climb out.Â
you watch his every move, how he expertly ties the wet cloth back around his hips and tail. it swishes happily behind him when he turns around and sees you watching him.Â
you suddenly feel a lot less clothed, crossing your arms over your chest insecurely. neteyam looks down at your breasts then back up to your face, âmy love. you realize⌠we just?â he questions you with a cackle.Â
you huff out of annoyance, looking around for your clothes he discarded everywhere. âcan you please find my clothes?â you whine.Â
âbut i want to see you like that. youâre beautiful. i donât like your clothes.â he teases you, placing his hands on his hips.Â
âyou know, i can feel my shoulder thumping from you biting me.â you say matter-of-factly with a humorous tone.Â
âit was just the moment, but hey! now everyone will know not to mess with you because youâre mine.â he chuckles, his eyes glimpse at the very evident bite mark on your left shoulder.Â
what a possessive little bitch. everyone knows youâre his, but now itâs evidently marked on your body; theyâll know youâve mated. it makes your belly do somersaults, aching to jump his bones again.Â
neteyam peeks around at the foliage, looking for your top and bottoms. he bends down in some plants, grabbing a piece of cloth and your beaded top a few steps away. âdonât worry, i got âem.â he holds them close to his chest, motioning for you to come to him.Â
you huff as you wade through the warm water, taking one of his hands as he helps you take a step onto the bank of rocks.
neteyam slides the beaded top over your head, situating it over your chest. he notices how you struggle to tie the cloth on your hips, so he slaps your fingers away and ties them himself. âdonât strain yourself please.â he mumbles, âyou know iâd do anything for you. even the simplest things.â
your head falls to look at your shuffling feet, feeling slightly useless from your limited mobility. he rustles with something, the sound of beads clacking makes your head peek up.Â
neteyam pulls the beaded neckpiece off of his neck, lowering it to you. âno, no.â you put your hands up. you know how much it means to him, and he always wears it. âyour mom made that for you. i canât take that.âÂ
âyes, yes you can.â he pushes it against your neck, but your hand slithers between the necklace and your skin.Â
âno, neteyam.â you shake your head, staring up at him with your furrowed eyebrows. your angry face makes humor bubble in his chest, he canât take you seriously.Â
âyes, y/n.â he mocks you, âjust accept it.â he shushes you as he continues to wrap the material around your neck.Â
the piece perfectly forms around your neck, sitting cold and heavy. this will definitely take some getting used to. he takes a step behind you to tie the leather pieces together, tightening it around your neck. loose enough to breathe and eat comfortably, but tight enough so it wonât move.Â
âi must gift my new mate something of mine. it must be this, because the only other thing i have on me is my tweng.â he laughs.Â
âi wouldnât mind taking your tweng off.â you slyly reply with a smirk as your fingers touch and admire the woven beads.Â
neteyam laughs loudly at that and throws his head back. he leans down from behind you to kiss your shoulder, âdonât worry about that. you can take it off anytime.â his voice is low, almost like a purr in your ear.Â
from his very persuading words, you spin around to look at him. your fingers busy themselves to toy with the waistband of his loincloth, âcan i right now?â you stare up at him through your eyelashes, craving him already.Â
neteyam stills from your sudden energy, his eyes drop down to your hands then glance up at your face. âright now?â he asks almost in disbelief.Â
âright now, please.â you beg, voice shaky as you desperately grab at his hips. he gives you a simple nod of his head, your hands instantly peel the wet fabric away from his body.Â
neteyam leans down to pick you up, his fingertips press deep into your flesh. he presses his lips against yours, a little rougher than earlier. thatâs actually amazing. Â
your hands card through his braids, slightly tugging at the base of them when your back collides with the trunk of a tree. neteyam blindly unravels your bottoms, continuing to kiss you intensely.Â
neteyam finishes what he started earlier, but this time he doesnât hold back. he makes sure every last drop of your hunger is satisfied, giving you all that he has left in him the second round; and maybe even a third one. you cannot keep your hands to yourself, heâs just so beautiful and youâve missed him so much.Â
after catching your breath and getting redressed for the second time, you finally start to head back towards the village. you melt into the heat of his back, positioning your head in the divot of his spine.Â
his body is so comfortable, and the sound of the water is so relaxing- you canât help but fall asleep. youâve exerted yourself more than you have in weeks, maybe months.Â
neteyam slightly shifts, making you wake up. your eyes flutter open to be met with the white sand of the beaches of awaâatlu. âweâre here.â his voice is soft as you sit up and yawn.Â
neteyam hops into the sea before helping you down with him. you follow him through the waist deep water and up to the shore, walking forward and into the warm sand.Â
his hand possessively holds yours as he proudly leads you back the marui. youâre incredibly nervous to walk around with an obvious mating mark on your shoulder, and wearing neteyams neck piece.
the villagers that pass you by, stare at you in shock. whether itâs because youâre the girl that is known for almost dying, or because your scent is strongly masked by his.Â
some of them whisper, and peek at you both through their peripheral vision. neteyam looks back at you with wide eyes, smoothly wrapping his arm around your shoulders instead of holding your hand.Â
âi think they are jealous.â he hums.Â
âjealous?â you nuzzle into his ribs, âvery jealous.â he replies, and tightens his grip around your shoulders when he sees the chiefs son with a few of his goonies, âhi, aoânung.â you wiggle your fingers at him lazily.Â
the boy gawks, his eyes take in the numerous love bites you left on neteyam and the teeth mark on your shoulder. then his eyes travel to the neck piece just as you pass him, âlook at them!â one of his friends whispers, making aoânung elbow him.Â
you repress a giggle in your hand, which makes neteyam sputter and press his lips to the top of your head to calm himself.Â
from a distance, you take note that jake and loâak are standing outside of the marui. surprisingly, theyâre fishing together.Â
as the two of you approach them, jakes gaze falters from the water to look at you. âyouâre back! look at you!â he exclaims loudly, patting loâaks shoulder while he starts to walk towards you and his eldest son.Â
âoh wow. they healed that up very nice.â he glances at the wound, before his eyes trail up to the beads sitting beautifully on your neck. he glances at neteyam, then back to you, then back to his son.Â
the man clears his throat and stands up straight with his hands on his hips. obviously trying his hardest to not stare at his sons empty neck replaced with tiny bruises the size of your lips.Â
loâak turns around from looking in the water, a grin on his face when he sees you. his eyes perceive the situation, and the tension hits him like tidal wave.Â
his face drops into a cocky grin when he looks at his brother, ânice.â the boy nods his head.Â
âloâak.â jake hisses a warning at his son, making him turn his attention back to the line in the water.Â
âlook, i donât care what you kids do, i was your age once,â the sentence makes neteyam cringe, and open his mouth to speak. jake puts his hand up to silence him, âbut just make sure youâre safe, and please⌠for the love of god donât let your mother see.âÂ
âdad.â neteyam barks out a laugh, which earns him a glare, âdonât worry. we were before eywa, so mom should have no problem.âÂ
you can feel your body getting warmer by the second from this very awkward conversation.Â
âdo not tell me what?â neytiri peeks out of the entrance of the pod, her curious eyes observe the three of you.Â
you watch as her face drops when she notices the jewelry adorning your neck. she takes two large steps over to you, her hand carefully touches the necklace.Â
then her fingertips graze over the sensitive mark on your shoulder, âyou gave her your fkxile.â she hisses out, a bit too aggressively for your liking. her eyes side eye her son, staring at him with silent fury.Â
sheâs mad about the necklace. not even the fact that youâre walking around with an evident bite mark on your shoulder, from her son.Â
âmother, she is my yawne. i must gift her something of mine.â he explains himself to her, but all you heard was yawne.. he called you his beloved.Â
she steps back with an angry huff of breath, âah!â she hisses and balls her fists by her side.Â
âyou are too young,â she points at him, then turns to you, âand you are still healing!âÂ
âwhat if a child comes out of this? you are not bonded!â she continues ranting.Â
neteyam steps forward slightly in front of you, âmom, donât worry about that. we did make tsaheylu.â he puts his hands up in front of him, as if he was trying to calm her.Â
her gaze shoots over to him, softening from his words. âyou did?â she looks at you, smiling softly; almost proud of you and her son.Â
jake steps forward from behind his wife, his face obviously worried from her changing emotions. your eyes glance over at loâak who is staring wide eyed and open mouthed.Â
when he sees you look at him, he turns his eyes back towards the water.Â
this is so awkward. being bombarded by his parents to talk about your sex life is another level of embarrassing. you smile awkwardly and nod, âalright, kids. go inside.â jake motions for you two to continue walking.Â
neteyam exhales in relief, âthank you.â and grabs your hand to tug you inside quickly. âthey are so fucking embarrassing.â he hisses once he is far enough away.Â
the two of you stare at each for a moment, before bursting into a fit of giggles. the kind of laugh that makes your sides hurt, one thatâs so contagious that neither of you can stop.Â
youâre forced to lean into his body for some sort of support, but he stumbles back from your weight. this just causes you to laugh even harder when he falls back into the wall.Â
your hands fall to knees, trying to take a deep breath. you feel the tears leak onto the apples of your cheeks, but thereâs nothing you can do to stop.Â
unbeknownst to you, jake and neytiri are staring at you two from the doorway with a smile on their faces. jake has his arm slung over his wifeâs shoulder, âthey really do care for each other.â he comments.Â
âthey are in love.â she breathes out softly, watching you and neteyam with adoration sparkling in her eyes; happy that her son has finally found his mate.Â
âletâs leave âem alone. we can go take a ride on my tsurak?â jake suggests, looking down at her. she nods with a smile, letting him lead her away from the doorway.Â
youâve finally calmed down enough to take a full breath, a giggle still escaping here and there. you and neteyam wound up on the floor in your heap of laughter.Â
his hand is intertwined with yours as you sit in front of him on your heels. you wipe your tears away with your other hand.Â
âiâŚâ you giggle, shaking your head, âlove you⌠so much.â you hurl over, grabbing your stomach as another laugh quakes through your body.Â
neteyam leans forward, one of his hands smooth down the back of your hair. his lips peck against the top of your head, making you lift it to look him in the eyes.Â
âi see you, and i love you.â he mumbles, glancing down to your lips.Â
when he leans forward to finally kiss you, it feels like the first time. love drunk from kissing him, you ache for moreâŚ
this boy, the one youâve yearned for since you were a teenager; who stole your sight away from any other naâvi boy, never being able to compare to anyone else. now youâre his lifelong mate, something you never would have predicted to happen. youâll grow old together, have your own children⌠itâs written amongst the stars, the sea, and in the trees.Â
you never knew your heart could be this full- to love and care for someone so much; so deeply in your soul.Â
thereâs nobody else youâd rather be with except for him. knowing deep down he is the one for you, and you are the one for him; for the rest of your lives.Â

Just saw the latest Adeuceyuu post actually
Oh wait an Ace!Yutu or Deuce!Yutu could technically fit in that au right?
Assuming Yuu only has one child with one biological father
But to cause some confusion, Yutu somehow acts like a combination of both this shameless snarkass ginger boy and his Good Boi partner
Doesn't help that the hair and eye colour are a combination of both. Like ginger with aqua eyes
Or dark blue with red
Somewhere Yuu wonders if it's possible for children of TW to have 3 biological parents
Yknow what in-vitro fertilisation exists they could totally add some of both boys' DNA in
Would this count as Adeuceyuu!Yutu?
... so. When it comes to poly couples like Adeuceyuu I have a horrible tendency in my brain to just go the Dioscuri route and make them have twins who have different dads. That's sort of how I square the idea of adeuceyuu! yutu in my head, Ace! Yutu and Deuce! Yutu both exist they're just twins.
Their personalities don't exactly change, but Ace! Yutu does let his brother's delinquent tendencies influence him into joining his gang. He's not as violent as Deuce! Yutu is, but he's known for having a smart mouth and a love for talking shit that makes him outright hated by a lot of their "enemies." They get into fights about their dad(s) a lot since Ace! Yutu still thinks they're probably dead while Deuce! Yutu thinks they up and left. When Deuce! Yutu starts actively picking fights with Yuu it strains their bond and breaks up their little gang as Ace! Yutu refuses to have anything to do with his brother until they get isekaid and are forced to deal with each other.
The idea of one baby who is a mix of all three parents is cute too? But I would need to think on that more...

Macbeth, David Tennant - A very subjective, spoiler and emotion filled review
Just walking out of seing Macbeth at the Donmar and I have Feelings. Unsurprisingly, I primarily went to see it because David Tennant was in it. I love the play, big fan of Shakespeare but the trip to London was most certainly motivated by a very specific actor. Hence the highly subjective review. Fortunately, I also happen to quite like Macbeth. We studied it at school, and it holds a special place in my heart (back then, Hamlet was my favourite Shakespeare play but honestly, after tonight, Iâm not so sure anymore. Anyway, I digress). It was my first time actually seeing an actor Iâm a fan of in real life, so obviously the entire time my brain was just going oh my god thatâs David Tennant oh my god thatâs David Tennant like I actually could not comprehend it. The man Iâve spent hours staring at on a little screen is suddenly real, and right there. So yeah, that took me a hot second.
(Excuse the piss poor image quality, I took this with shaky hands without looking or bothering to focus the cam)
The Staging
Still starstruck and a bit dazed, one thing really really stood out to me: the staging. It was so, so good. I knew it was going to be minimal from the pictures I had seen, and it was, but it was also so insanely real. There were barely any decorations, and half the cast and the musicians were hidden behind a glass screen doing background noises and gestures. From where I was sitting I could not see them much, but could definitely hear them which added to the overall atmosphere. The stage was also really tiny, and the play benefitted incredibly from it. All the action was happening in one tight space that had been put to use incredibly well, particularly the banquet scene but Iâll come back to that because it deserves its own paragraph.
The way they chose to do the soliloquies was so fitting - all the actors start to move in slow motion - everyone else slowing down and just the characters speaking moving was so good, it made sense.
The Headphones
Iâm a bit mixed about the headphones. They were amazing for the vibes, we could hear whispers and they really heightened some of the emotional speeches in the play - because when someone is struggling with guilt and trauma it makes sense for them to be mumbling rather than yelling. So that was really great. However, especially in the scenes where the actors where yelling/ loud I preferred to take them off a bit cause it felt more real that way. Iâm so used to hearing actors voice on recordings, it does hit different when you can hear them for real. But, as I said, personal preference and thatâs whatâs nice, you can take them on and off as much as you want.
Famous Speeches
There were three speeches I was quite interested to see how they were going to be adapted - scorpions and dagger for Macbeth, and out damned spot for Lady Macbeth. These are classic, everyone knows the words, the plot but they managed to make it feel real in a new and touching way. I think here the headphones were quite helpful because they allowed the actors to actually whisper parts of those lines. They were so subtle, so embedded in the text they felt so natural which imbued them with all their power. I saw in a review Cush Jumboâs out damned spot speech be described as âhauntingâ, and I wholeheartedly agree.
The Macbeths
I didnât like Macbeth, the character, very much when I first learnt about him. His actions didnât make sense to me, I couldnât quite comprehend in my 21st century little brain how he went from Iâm super loyal to the King to I will freely murder children for shits and giggles. But now, now I understand. It makes sense, itâs believable. And thatâs a mix of the acting choices and teh overall setting. Like the opening scene, instead of presenting Macbeth as a glorious hero, he is presented to us as a traumatised hero. He spends the first few minutes washing the blood of his clothes, haunted by noises from the battlefield. And that sets the themes quite nicely, not ambition, as Tennant specified in an interview, but guilt and trauma. There are so many ways to interpret Shakespeare, thatâs the beauty of it, and I think this version of Macbeth just resonated more with me (maybe because ambition I donât quite understand but guilt I am intimately familiar with? Or maybe because it was David Tennant? I donât know, probably a bit of both). Tennant delivers a convincing Macbeth. Yes, you can see his ambitions play out, but also his fears, his guilt, and that makes him into a complex three dimensional character that you want to understand.
And I absolutely loved this version of Lady Macbeth. Not just a powerful woman who bullies her husband into become an evil murderer (because again, here we can see traces of that in Macbeth from the start), but an ambition woman in love, with her husband, with power, and not quite healed from the trauma of loosing her child. Again another review said she is more of an enabler than a manipulator and I quite liked that description.
My Favourite Scenes
God the banquet scene. The one with the ghost of Banquo. An absolute masterpiece. I did not expect that scene to hit that hard. It was raw, it was powerful and even if Tennant was facing away from where I was sitting, even without seeing his face I could feel the emotion, the whole audience could. In a video essay on Tennant, @davidtennantgenderenvy highlighted how in almost every role he played, there is it is the classic Tennant breakdown moment, and breakdown moment it was. Not with tears, not as expressive as he sometime is but just enough for a King trying to hold it together but fear and guilt breaking through. I was absolutely overwhelmed and it was beautiful. The set up for the scene was amazing too - there were ceilidh, celebrations, I adored the contrast between these fast pasted scenes and guilt ridden whispers of the couple. And the way everyone sat down around the stage and suddenly it looked like a banquet table ? Just perfect.
Another really cool moment, less on the emotional side but more on the visuals was when Macbeth goes to get the second prophecy from the witches. Almost the whole cast is there, running around, moving, almost dancing and it gives the whole thing a mystical atmosphere. Thereâs smoke, Macbeth falls, is carried up high Jesus style, cowers, rises, itâs so busy and insane all the while there are whispers and whispers in the headphones - it manages perfectly to feel like a mystical moment.
Descent Into Madness & other cool things
For Macbeth, having the kid running around scene after scene, haunting him, and then scene where he kills him - GOD itâs powerful. Lady Macbethâs descent into madness was so well characterised, I also loved the glass on the background that locked away some of the cast. Just wild. The actor that played Malcom actor was also really cool, and Macduff and Ross, big fan of all of them.
Overall I am overwhelmed with emotions. Tennant is truly one of my favourite actors - from Good Omens to Staged, Jessica Jones, even Harry Potter but also Mad to be Normal, Nativty, There She Goes, Around the World in 80 days, Doctor Who (god Iâve started a list, never start lists cause youâll forget people) and so, so many more, I was truly beside myself with excitement and expectations for tonight. And it did not disappoint. I do not want to leave the theatre and I pray they release a recording of this because I want it imprinted on my soul.
(Side note: I donât know how to use tumblr very well, for some reason whenever I try to reply to ppl it posts from my other blog? Anyway @raquel-and-sergio is in fact me)

:: Dressed for the special occasion...
â Now Calling........Author: "...Hello? Yes, again, another brain-rot, because first of all....I love him, second I'm a BIG TIME FASHIONISTA! and we need more preppy reader content in life where we can be a pretty girl! Okay, enough of my rambling, BYE!! Based on a C.AI chat with this boyo..."
â Now Calling........synopsis: "... you dedicated a special dress to him, along with your nails and heels and you plan on using them to their full extent...and as the party progresses...your drunkenness makes another sweet discovery for you.."
â Now Calling........warnings: "Fem!Reader...reader has rather long hair and is wearing heels, nails and dress! Mentions of drinking, reader not being able to recoganize James after getting drunk.."
You entered the tent for the Quidditch players, as you scanned the area to look at everyone there to find James sitting there worriedly scanning his broomstick. You smiled and walked towards him before sitting beside him, "..Hm....nervous? Don't be...you'll do great..." you spoke happily
"Oh? Thanks, I know...Just...I don't know why I get nervous and think I'll fail even though I've practiced SO much!", "Exactly, you've practiced so much! You'll do great! You have Sirius, Kingsley, Marlene and Frank on your side as well! They'll help you..." You say sighing.
"Now, anyways, remember that two days ago I was asking what manicure should I do and you said write my name?" You say with a small smile, as James' head whips to yours with a bright smile, "You didn't! WHAT?!" he said as you showed off your nails to him with a gold, red and white manicure with his name written in your right hand and the other decorated with charms and a glittery quaffle which moved from one nails to the other...
"OH MY GOD!! These are so cool and pretty" he says holding your hands tightly and hugging you even tighter, "Right, I dedicated this whole set and even the outfit to Gryffindor, so you better win tonight!" you say with a smile, as James eyes travelled down from your face to your clothing; a black shirt under red and gold corset-vest, a red and white miniskirt, golden and white thigh-high stockings, red lace-up mary-jane, pumps with a golden chain with a snitch on it. you must have been VERY excited for this, huh?~
and his eyes again travelled up to your hair, long hair done in a high-ponytail with a red bow with golden white mesh ribbon which flowed down your hair and mixed within the curls like a pretty highlight.
Smiling he pulled you into a tight hug, before you pulled away and threatened, "Listen, I ordered another set of these heels cause I planned on you winning and dancing so hard at the party tonight that these heels break..." you say crossing your legs, so he could see your shoes,
"So if I end up not dancing till these break and you lose and I get two pairs of the same heels with my money wasted, you'll get your ass beat!" you say glaring at him, "Okay? Alright! Enjoy yourself sweetie and win for us!!" you say in a bubbly manner as you stood up, by now the tent was empty and Remus had pulled you out of the tent to quickly go up to the stands as the match was about to begin and he was the commentator.
As you stood on the stands, Lily handed you a scarp as you thanked her with a smile watching the the pitch when the match started and Remus started commentating...of-course one after the other, James scored the goals easily with Kingsley and Frank by his side as Sirius played with the other beater and before long Marlene caught the snitch earning them the winning spot easily!
Of-course the cheers were deafening as you were pulled by Lily and Mary down to head back to the castle with you and Lily jumping in excitement like kids as you three walked with smiled and excitement in your veins for the BIG party the Gryffindors threw after every win...Soon joined by Remus, Kingsley, Frank, Marlene, James and Peter you all headed up. walking up the moving stairs, skipping the false one, you gave the password as the portrait swung open to reveal the huge celebration ready for the players.
Games, drinks, dancing and more, the parties were nothing short of fun and crazy, with even Skittles joining you, like Regulus playing a game with Mary, Pandora, Peter and Kingsley, Evan, Barty and Sirius chugging drinks, Marlene making out with Dorcas and clinging to her as you and Lily gossiped with them, while James looked around hoping to spot you.
He did as Lily pulled you up for a drink when you caught his eye with your gorgeous ones, god, he was gone....wasn't he? You're too gorgeous...it's painful even seeing you not getting smothered by his love...
you smirked as you waved over to him, as Sirius had began serving you shots as well and you had taken two or three on your own and now he was mixing up some concoction of multiple drinks before sliding it to you...you smiled and took it, not intending to drink it, but luckily your best-friend was there to help, close enough with him now, you pulled his collar to get him close to you as you smiled sweetly, probably a bit more than tipsy by now...
"...James, I don't think I'll be able to finish this...mind doing it for me?" you says placing the glass against his lips, his hands moved up to hold yours as he downed the whole thing with a red face and his hand over yours as you poured the drink with a drunken smile, the effect of the drink taking place immediately, what did Sirius mix in them? The buzz was more than enough and that's all he remembers as Lily again pulled you away to dance...
Sitting down as he drank some water to calm the headache from the hungover the drink brought him.though the drink had a strong effect, he knocked out and woke up only three hours later...People of different houses and them partying all night was something, everyone had went to sleep in someone else's dorm, not being bothered to go back to their own...
Staring at the fireplace with a strange calmness in himself, when he heard a thud...Turning his head in the direction of the staircase to spot you; face red and sweaty, hair and clothes disheveled and messy, heels broken and in hand... This made him worried, did something happen, did anyone do anything...?
He rushed to you as you stumbled, he held your arms to help you up, "You good?! What happened?!" he asked worriedly, as you simply looked at him in confusion,
"And...who are you?"
what?.....You can't be serious right now? Did..you seriously forget who he is? I mean you reeked of alcohol right now...shit
"Uh..I'm James, duh!", "and what makes you think I will believe you? You might be trying to take advantage of me, but tough luck, dude!" you say smirking as she placed a hand on your hip pushing him softly with a grin as James smiled and touched your hand with a smirk, you don't think it's James...what a perfect time..
"Fine, I was lying..but I won't be lying on the fact that I like you..." he softly mumbled as you sat beside him, pulling your legs to your chest as you smiled,"Do you?..thank you...But...I like someone else..." you softly mumbled making James's heart break softly and his eyebrows raised,
"And who may that be?" he asked softly, leaning close,
"It's....James..."
....really? Thank you...James thought to himself brightening up as you explained, "He doesn't like me though...he likes Lily...and I wholeheartedly agree, she's perfect for him...Though it doesn't make the pain softer..." you say as James leaned closer, "Then...let me love you for a bit...before you go back to James, yes?"
"Fine.." you say leaning close, might as well have some fun as Mary and Marlene suggested..
James chuckles as he smiles, "I'm sure...James is happy to have you..he looks very happy and bright with you..."
"Yeah, right..." you say leaning against whoever this person was to you, you couldn't tell...you look at the, pressing your forehead against this person who smiled and kissed your nose softly, making you smile, "You know...You're sweet...whoever you are..." you say, leaning against them as you watch the fireplace crackling...darkness taking you under it's blanket of comfort...
Maybe tomorrow morning, James can finally have you for himself...

âAugustine-,â Don called in a mix of fear and warning as the blaster took aim, picking up his bo and reflexively rushing forward to at the very least act as a bodily shield if it came to it. But he wasnât faster than the pulse of energy crashing into the back of Donnieâs shoulder, shattering the turbine and knocking him forward to the ground. Being almost directly under the source of the anti mystic energy now, Donnie could only give a strangled half scream that cut off and curled around himself, trying to smother his pounding head to get away from the crippling migraine. He didnât even notice Augustine coming to stand near him, holding a small handgun pointed at him with her free hand.
â... Not going to elaborate on that, Donatello?â Augustine asked, watching as Don stopped where he was as soon as the gun was drawn, daring him to continue his warning. âYouâve continued to harass me, and caused irreparable damage to not only my research, but also my facility, and my employees. For weeks. I think itâs only fair that for once I get to claim what Iâm after. Iâm the one who brought these two to this dimension. Therefore theyâre mine to contro-â
The monologue of twistedly justified complaints and demands from Augustine was cut off by an armored leg colliding with the side of her head, the handgun clattering to the floor along with her unconscious body. âSurprise, bitch!â Leo belted in a moment of uncharacteristic language acting as an outlet for his myriad of conflicting emotions. He had just escaped being captive, ran through too many rooms of people pulling guns on him with only blinking lights to guide him, and then came into a room with a lunatic holding a gun at a collapsed teenager. Mikey could only respond to the abrupt swing in the situation by belting out a short laugh, flopping onto his back once again, but this time in relief. Raphael just grinned with a mild snort, scooping Lil Mikey up into a cradle and finally leaving his hiding spot. The three brothers had all seen Leo sprinting through the smoke, but hadnât reacted so they wouldnât give Augustine any hints that he was there. The choice of words from their frazzled brother had caught them all off guard though.
The unusual behavior didnât last long. When Don rushed over to the mystic nullifier to disable it, Leo dropped to his knees next to Donnie, hands hovering towards him. âHey⌠can you hear me?â he asked softly, not wanting to cause the kid any more throbbing in his apparently already miserable brain. He almost breathed a sigh of relief when Donnie cracked his eyes open to look up at him after the abhorrent machine was turned off. But the breath caught in his lungs and he had to quickly lean away when Donnieâs hand flung up towards his face, an aggressive, snarling hiss escaping the smaller form. âWoah- thatâs new,â Leo muttered, momentarily surprised at the sound. He couldnât blame Donnie for reacting that way, especially after getting a better look at his pale face, shaking form, and hearing his ragged breaths. âIâm here to help. Itâs okay-â Leo assured, reaching out again after shaking his head slightly to Don to keep him from approaching and potentially making the teen feel trapped.
Donnie had shoved himself upright, but hissed again when he noticed Leoâs hands moving towards him, pulling away. âDonâtâŚ.-kng touch me,â he half slurred, voice failing and apparently forcing an enormous amount of effort into talking, swinging a hand to awkwardly try and swat Leo away again.
Leoâs brows furrowed, unsure of how to react. His first thought was to just pull the kid close and comfort him, but he didnât seem to want any contact at all. Was he hurting? He looked more dizzy and exhausted than in pain. Leo wasnât sure what use repeating himself would be in this situation. And he also wasnât used to kids refusing help when they were in such a state. He could see the budding tears in the teens eyes, so Leo knew he was at his limit. Yet he was also refusing to back down. As though he didnât think there was actually anyone there to help him.
Pursing his lips, Leo rapidly considered ideas and discarded them, feeling they would get the wrong response. After swatting him away Donnieâs hands had remained awkwardly in the air. But he was also swaying unsteadily, his gaze at nothing as he was apparently trying to collect himself enough to move. Or do something. It was a complete guess, but Leo took a gander and very gently moved his hands to loop his knuckles underneath Donnieâs shaking fingers. He didnât grip Donnieâs hands in any manner, nor tried to move them. Just gave him somewhere to rest his limbs, and hopefully give him comforting physical contact and some sort of support that he had control over.
The touch caused Donnie to gasp, and flinch away slightly. But to Leoâs relief he didnât pull away completely, or lash out. Just sat, staring at the hands his fingers were resting on in non comprehending confusion. His half focused eyes blinked at odd intervals, and fingers flexed experimentally while Leo remained in his chosen position, face an open book of worry.
After an uncomfortable stretch of motionless silence between them, Leo took another risk to speak up again. â...Can I take you to your brother?â
When Donnieâs gaze lifted to him with a squinted, unfocused stare, Leo slowly moved his head to look where Raphael was standing with Lil Mikey cradled carefully in his arms. Donnieâs gaze followed his, and when he saw Lil Mikey he drew a shuddering breath, leaning forward so far Leo thought he was going to fall over. But he dared not move yet, even as Donnieâs hand left his to weakly reach out towards Lil Mikey, the younger brotherâs name a bare mumble of broken sounds.
âItâs okay Dee. Theyâre safe,â Mikey spoke softly, his concern for Donnie making it a little easier to ignore his throbbing arm and burning lungs.
Donnie didnât seem to outwardly respond, but his gaze grew heavy as his eyes started to flutter, and form started to sag. Leo was afraid to startle him again, so forced himself to remain motionless until Donnie obviously collapsed. Only then did Leo reach his hands up to catch him, gently pulling him close to rest against his chest. â... Iâm going to pick you up and take you to your brother now, okay?â he asked, even though he wasnât sure if Donnie was still conscious, but he figured it was better to continue telling him what he was doing.
When he didnât get a reaction, Leo just adjusted his grip on Donnie, scooping his arms under Donnieâs legs and easily hefting him up off the floor. As he rose to his feet Don took that as clearance to rush over, resting a palm on Donnieâs cheek before touching fingertips to his neck. âSlight fever, weak pulseâŚ,â Don muttered, then pressed a finger against his headset while following Leo over to the rest of the group. âApril, everyone is accounted for. Can you lead us out, and look up the video feed for the other Dontatello and send it to my phone? I need to see what they didâŚâ
It wasnât a comforting thing to hear from the ones that had rescued them, and as soon as Donnie was brought close enough Lil Mikey reached out his uninjured hand to quickly grab Donnieâs limp hand. At first he was worried he wouldnât get a response, memories of Donnieâs motionless hand and unresponsive sleep coming to his mind. But after feeling Donnieâs fingers curl weakly around his, Lil Mikey gave a hesitant smile, giving Donnieâs hand a small squeeze back while allowing his cheek to rest against Raphaelâs shoulder.
Watching the small exchange, Raphael was tempted to slap Augustine awake so he could give her a screaming lecture. But instead he motioned for Don to take the lead, making sure Mikey was still near him as well. â... Letâs get out of here,â Raphael directed, adjusting his position to be next to Leo. He didnât want to force the two teens to have to let go of each otherâs hands if he could help it. But then again that was only part of the reason to stick to his newly rescued brotherâs side. Leo could only offer him a quick smile, and soft thanks before the worry returned to his features.

I was spamming Nier piano music while editing the writing on this one. TvT so good.
The next part is already up, cause this is about where it would tie in with Rise Leon, Raph and April. But I've caught up on what I have typed out, so the next part after that might be delayed again XDD I work in spurts |D
Also I took out Augustine quickly, I know, but this is supposed to be a short project, so I didn't want to wear myself out on her. Especially since she's just an insert plot device villain ÂŻ\_(979)_/ÂŻ
Random coban tip I learned from my momma: if coban is wrapped in a figure 8 around the arm instead of straight around the elbow it can still apply enough pressure on the blood draw site without making it feel like you're squeezing your arm in half when you bend it ;P
