⭐️MGA 5 EPISODE 1 singing step by step by oh my girl (00:06 - 01:27 // 02:35 - 02:54 // 03:23 - 03:42) callback performance, or how to discover u have a crush mid-song
‘‘ When you get one step, two steps farther away I will take three steps toward you So we won’t get any farther apart ’’
he hums it on his way to school, during class, during lunch, on his way back home, in the shower, in his bed. jeongin never expected a callback, even if he dreamed of it, even if everyone around him encouraged him and kept saying he would make it through. he remembers hongjoong sending words of support, always taking care of him as if he were his own son (and let's be honest, he pretty much is at this point), yeji helping him through the song selection process and listening to him pratice, and his main inspiration, chojin, just getting him through most days with her smile and positivity. he wants to sing this for her, initially. the song is very pure and soft, it makes him think of her. in a way, he came on this show hoping to meet her again, or do her justice as her number one fan. he's also doing it for him, because he loves to sing, he loves idols and it would be amazing to be able to become one himself. inspire others as they inspired him... be someone special. if he's able to find all of these things within himself by standing on that stage, proudly, and show the contestants that he might look like nothing but is full of surprises then maybe his goal will be achieved.
he can't contain his amazement when they are brought in this huge set. so many lights, and seats, and staff member buzzing around. that is only when jeongin realizes that a hundred people is more than he thought. he has to stand out among them? beat a hundred of these people to make it to the end? it's impossible, it feels like. unimaginable. and yet he already made it here, and that's something worth celebrating. "woah!" it really the only thing that comes out of his mouth from the very moment he walks in to the moment the first contestant is called to the stage. he second doubts every single choice he made until now every time another person sings or dances. should he introduce himself like him? smile more like her? is his song too boring? not upbeat enough? or rather, not slow enough?
he clings to his seat and dreads the moment he will have to walk up there and embarrass himself in front of all these people, most of them older than he is. they all look so good, dolled up for the filming while jeongin didn't really think anything through. everyone he sat with keep calling him cute, saying he doesn't have to worry about a thing, but unfortunately they are not the ones who will perform in his place. there's no way to be sure he won't trip over or really throw up this time like he felt like doing on his audition. he closes his eyes a few times, focusing on his own breathing instead of the boys and girls showing off their talents. but he cheers for them too, applauds, even stands up when it's really good and impressive. he's not here to judge. he leaves that to the ceos, intimidating as they are. they know what they're doing unlike him.
"next up, yang jeongin-ssi." it's time.
his heart drops, and a cold wave washes over him. there's still time to back away... he needs a little push, and he gets it. hands land on his back and gently push him forward, leaving him no choice but to go for it, step by step, just like the lyrics he's about to sing. he finds courage in these words, because you're not always able to leap forward. when tiny steps are the only thing you can manage to make, you're still moving on. and that's not something to feel shameful about at all.
it's the irony of it all. the bright, cheerful, always positive jeongin shaking from head to toe as he stands in front of these five prestigious artists and ceos. they have years of experience he doesn't, have seen countless auditions and stages and can probably already kind of foresee who among them will make it to the end and who won't. sure, there are always a few wild cards in the mix but jeongin is certain he isn't one of them. he wants to show them his true self, he wants to be as colorful as he was during the triple threat challenge. but the scale is so much bigger right now.
he takes a deep breath. 'step by step'.
he regains strength once he looks over to one side of the stage and sees all the familiar faces. his cousins, his friends, who are all smiling at him, seemingly telling him he can do it. they believe in him, and so should he. he greets the audience with a lot more enthusiasm than could be expect when he first came up. "hello everyone!" he waves over to the judges, and both sides of the stage, exuding cuteness as he smiles brightly. "i'm baby fox yang jeongin! please look after me~" he can hear some faint laughter coming from the contestants, and it has him rub the back of his neck shyly. people do tell him he looks like a fox, and a baby, so he just put two and two together and made it his brand.
jeongin gets ready and just like that, his two minutes start. this will determine whether he is meant to be a real mga season 5 contestant or not, but in this moment all he can think of is not messing the intro to his song.
Where are you walking right now? Say you love me, say you love me
his voice sounds soft, angelic even. his eyes are closed, wanting to really live through the emotions of the song. there is chojin on his mind since the beginning. she is, after all, the one he always calls his future wife. the only person he always says he will ever love. but that couldn't be more untrue, because just as he's about to go into the first verse, he finally takes a look around him and instinctively searches for the people he cares about. his eyes meet seungmin's and suddenly the whole song makes so much sense.
The weather’s so nice, I’m dreaming About holding your hand and looking into your eyes Dduba dduba dduba dduba I do Dduba dduba dduba dduba I do I couldn’t sleep a single bit, I think I’m sick That’s right, I like you
seungmin's kindness. seungmin's smile. seungmin's hands when they reach for his. seungmin's warmth and hugs. in this very moment, in this very place, in front of these very people, does jeongin finally realize that he's been liking seungmin all along. that these butterflies, this shortness of breath, this weird feeling of longing, these rapid heartbeats, all meant one thing and one thing only. it's his hand he wants to hold, his lips he would like to taste... if he were to ever have his first kiss. for a while he keeps looking over at the older boy, completely fascinated by these newly embraced feelings.
When you get one step, two steps farther away I will take three steps toward you So we won’t get any farther apart When you take one step, two steps closer I will stay right here So it doesn’t feel like our love is going too fast
Say you love me, say you ddururudduddu Say you love me, say you love me
he doesn't know if he could ever ask seungmin if he feels the same way. there hasn't been any clear hint, besides how sweet he always acts with him, but most of his close hyungs are the same with him. they spoil him, protect him, and support him. he doesn't know why it feels different with seungmin, but maybe he just projects his love onto him. for it to be mutual would almost be too good to be true, and he wonders how amazing it must be to have someone like you back, someone you can share everything with.
this melody might be light and enchanting, but the vocals require a lot of power too once they reach the high notes. jeongin is confident that he can reach them and sustain them. that is what he studies, and he achieve great things when he practices enough. he goes on to the bridge and final part, his time on stage already coming to an end.
On & on, On & on don’t hesitate Uh uh uh~, Come to me, uh uh uh~ A little closer, a little closer Come a little closer Don’t get any farther away Come a little closer
When you take one step, two steps closer I will stay right here So it doesn’t feel like our love is going too fast
he needs a few seconds to recover after the music has already faded out, and finally bows before leaving the stage, knees about to give out. he feels drained, and can't look at seungmin at all by the time he reaches his seat.

The Boss’ Girl: Ch. 4
Lee Minwoo (Shinhwa) x Reader x Jeon Jungkook (BTS)
Office!AU
Rated: M smut, some toy play, slow build
Word Count: 3883
Chapter 3
A/N: The toy in this one is Ben Wa balls.  For anyone who doesn’t know about them, they are small weighted balls used to strengthen your vaginal muscles.  You can use one or two.  Two of them are usually held together in a connector for easy insertion and removal.  The ones she uses are pleasure balls that have smaller balls inside of them that bounce around when you move so it makes a sort of vibrating feeling.  (I do have a set of these. A+ 10/10 would recommend)
Friday morning starts out with your favorite kind of twist.  At the end of the morning meeting Minwoo asks what your night plans are.  “I was hoping to go have a few drinks with the other secretaries.”  Minwoo nods.
“Good.  I’m going out with a client.  Let’s meet at my place after.  Does that sound good to you?”  He speaks as if you are scheduling a business meeting not for what he’s really suggesting.
“That sounds perfect.”  You reply curtly that earns you a small smile.  “Excellent.  How about we have a blue day then?”  Minwoo opens the farthest bottom drawer of his desk and pulls out a midnight blue silk bag.  Your day just got a lot more interesting.  Returning his smile you take the small pouch and take your leave.
You drop your papers at your desk and scurry over to the washroom.  In the small pouch is the best and worst piece of the blue set.  It’s a pair of blue glass ben wa balls in a connector.  Each one has a smaller ball inside to create a subtle vibration when you move.  It would tease you all day long.
The work day goes by like a normal Friday.  Only you and Minwoo know about your little secret.  You could almost forget about it while you’re sat at your desk.  Besides your core muscles working to keep the toy in the build up is incredibly slow.  The spikes of pleasure come when you’re moving around.
Minwoo leaves at the end of the day without mentioning anything.  Once he’s out of the office you quickly finish up your end of the week report so you can leave as well.  You’re so focused on meeting the girls at the bar that you nearly forget about your daily escort.
The office is set for Monday morning and you grab your things.  You call up the elevator.  The doors open and Jungkook just about runs into you.  The both of you jump at seeing each other.  “Secretary Y/L/N, sorry.  Come in.”  Jungkook steps back into the elevator and holds the door for you to get in.  You squeak out a thank you and push the ground floor button.
You stand stock still facing the door without giving Jungkook a single glance.  The way you jumped in surprise shook the balls to vibrate strongly.  By now you’re so sensitive that you had to bite your tongue to not gasp or moan from it.
Jungkook stands beside you, curious about your nervous attitude.  “Are you in a hurry today?”  He asks also wondering if you weren’t going to wait for him today.  You were already waiting for the elevator.
“Not really in a hurry.  I’m meeting with the other secretaries for a few drinks.”  You answer without changing you sights.  “Have fun then.  I’m also going out later with the other interns.”  There’s really no reason for you to look at Jungkook anyway.  You can hear the smile in his tone and can just picture it.  That charming smile that you’re scared to face now as if one look will give away your secret to him.
It might be your extra cold shoulder that gives you away in the end.  Jungkook shifts his posture as he feels a bit uncomfortable.  Sure you’re normally a bit cold to him but never quite like this.  At least you normally speak to him.
Jungkook tries to think of something else to say.  Maybe he could ask which bar you’re going to.  Would that be too forward?  Before he thinks any further the elevator doors open to the lobby.
You burst through the doors like a race horse out the starting gate.  Jungkook puzzles again and stumbles out after you.  From behind you he notices that the way you’re walking is also a bit off.  He hangs back a few strides to watch your movement.  It’s quick but also tight like you’re pressing your thighs together with each step.
The main door slides open for you to exit and your steps never falter.  Jungkook takes two large strides to catch back up with you.  The pace of your steps slow at the sidewalk but there’s no car there to pick you up.  Normally that your break off point.
You clear your throat and finally face Jungkook.  “Well, have a good weekend Jungkook-ssi.  I’m walking today.”  Your tone is clipped and confident as always.  “Would you like me to walk you there?”  Jungkook doesn’t hesitate to ask and you were expecting it.  “No that’s quite alright.  I’m barely going a block over.”  Good thing you didn’t need to lie.
Jungkook looks conflicted for a moment but finally smiles.  “Alright Secretary, have a good weekend.”  He lets you go with a cute wave.  You turn back and head your way.  After a few steps the temptation to turn and look comes again.  You know that he’s still standing there watching you walk away.  Too bad there’s no way you’d give him the pleasure of you turning back.
You’re right about Jungkook watching you.  He’s still confused with your awkward gait he can’t help but watch.  He also wants to be sure you’re safe.
Just like you said, barely a block down you enter one of your favorite bars.  The other secretaries are all set at a high center table.  They greet you while you settle into an empty chair.  “Y/N you’re practically early.  You must’ve been in a hurry to get here.”  Yoona, the financing secretary you sat next to jokes.  “I can’t lie that I definitely need this.”  You say with a sigh and the others laugh.
The table gets their drinks and some food before the real talk begins.  The secretaries all being about the same age makes for fun girls nights.  It’s one of your favorite Friday night plans.  The best office gossip and stories come out on these nights.  In a secret pact the person with the best story by the end of the night gets their drinks free.
Little do they know that you have a secret agenda of your own for the evening.  You want to know everything they know about Jeon Jungkook and any rumours around about him.
The chatter goes on for nearly two hours before it comes up.  The girls have a small idea of what you’re waiting for so they make you wait.  You’re nearly done with your second crown and ginger by the time they let you have it.
“I know we’re all thinking it so let’s get on with it.”  Yoona states after a short pause.  “What do we think of the new interns?”  She asks with a coy smile.  Jaehee speaks first.  “I think we got a good group this time.  They’re all honestly good workers.”  “Especially Jungkook.”  Sooji says with an exaggerated wink.  All the other girls are quick to agree.
Sooji is the secretary for JUngkook’s department.  Without looking too interested you listen carefully to what she has to say.  “He’s always so polite and helpful.”  Sooji continues.  “Yeah and he’s so cute too.”  Mina The youngest secretary adds.  “Sure his smile is cute but have you seen that body?  He was stretching once after lunch and I nearly fainted.  I’d give anything to see what he’s hiding under those button ups.”  Yoona never has a filter.
“Seriously, he’s such a good addition.  He’s good for work and nice to look at.”  “If he were like five years older I’d be all over that.”  “That’s his only downside.  He’s such a baby.”  “It’s a bit of a headache.  His body says he’s like 27. His face says he’s about 16 but he’s really 22 so I guess it evens out somehow.”
That comment catches your attention.  You know the boy was young but not that young.  “It makes me feel wrong to even look at him.”  Sooji speaks your exact thoughts.
Yoona turns to you then.  “Y/N you’re awfully quiet.”  “Yes do tell us what you think.  You are the boys admirer.”  Sooji adds.  The others turn to put all focus on you.  Thanks to the drinks for some false confidence.  “I don’t know.  Sure he’s cute and kind as you all say but he’s too young for me.”  You answer passively, sipping your drink.
That’s what they expected you to say.  “Of course.  What does Y/N need an intern for when she’s got the CEO.”  Yoona mimics your nonchalant attitude.  “Do tell us what it’s like to turn down every hot guy in the office for the CEO.”  “That’s not why I turn them down.”  “What other reason could there be?  Most of us would give a leg to date these guys.”
“Maybe my standards are too high.  None of them are attractive to me.”  “Or maybe they won’t be satisfying enough?”  Finally Yoona gets the effect out of you she wanted.  Thankfully you don’t need to answer.
“Oh my, speak of the devil.”  Sooji coos looking past you at the door.  Everyone turns to see the interns coming in.  They wave and Sooji waves them over.  The wait staff help move the table next to yours a bit closer.  You’re glad it’s on the far side of you.  You’re way too aroused and tipsy to be near Jungkook right now.
When they came in you gave him half a glance and even that was too much.  He’s dress casually in a black tee, burgundy joggers, and a pair of black boots.  He pulls off the look a little too well.  The low collar of his shirt shows too much neck and collarbone.  It’s also the first time you’re seeing him in short sleeves.  You must really be drunk if forearms and a little extra neck are getting you this bothered.  Your goal for the rest of the night is to not look at him.
Jungkook just might have been watching you walk away earlier to also see where you were going.  He’s the one to suggest coming here to the others.  It was easy to guess which bar you had went into.  This is a popular bar for the whole office.
The interns have their drinks ordered and Mina starts the conversation back up.  “What a coincidence you’re all here.  We were just talking about how nice and helpful our dear interns are.”  They say polite thank yous and you find yourself zoning out.
Luck might be on your side.  The girls don’t tease you at all the next hour.  More than likely they don’t want to embarrass Jungkook.  Your phone buzzes on the table and catches your and Yoona’s attention.
-Finished my meeting.  Pick you up in a few minutes?
Finally the text you’ve been waiting for all night.  You instantly respond that you’re ready to leave.  Apparently you’re glowing and grinning a bit too much at your phone screen.  “Our ice queen is smiling.  It must be CEO Lee texting her.”  Yoona makes you snap your attention to her.  You finish up the third drink and grab your purse.  “Yes it’s very important so please excuse me.”  You get up and head to the ladies room.
Once you’re out of earshot Jungkook voices his naive concern.  “What does he need her for at 10 PM on a Friday?”  The table is silent.  How is this boy so oblivious?  “I don’t think you want to know.”  Sooji answers.  That doesn’t help him at all.  He does want to know.  Maybe that’s why you’ve been so off today.
The others change the subject but Jungkook gets out of his seat and goes after you.  When you turn the corner out of the restroom Jungkook is waiting for you.  Nearly running into him it makes you jump again.  This time you can’t hold back the whimper for the toy jostling in you.
You quickly try to cover your mouth with your hand but it’s no use. Instead you duck your head so at least he might not see the heavy blush of your cheeks.  Jungkook is so shocked by your sound he’s not sure what to do.  His mouth hangs open a moment before he speaks.  “Secretary Y/L/N, are you okay?”
He reaches out a tentative hand to your shoulder.  Just that touch has your mind racing.  How warm and strong his hand feels.  You just want to lean into the touch and curl into his arms.  Arms that are too muscular and out on display.  This is exactly why you couldn’t look at him.
The long delay of your mental battle worries Jungkook even more.  You’re clearly not okay.  Why did you make a sound like that?  Why are you so flustered that you can’t even look at him?  He tilts his head and leans in a bit closer.
In your head you’re screaming to yourself not to look up.  You’ll fall right into those sparkly eyes.  Think of something else Y/N you need to answer him and get away.  You just can’t look so you nod and hope that’s enough.  “Are you sure?  You’ve been really off today.  You’re sure everything is alright?”  Jungkook holds your arm a little tighter.
Oh god he’s noticed you acting strange all day?  What can you do besides keep nodding?  There needs to be a way to leave.  “Secretary, you can tell me if something is wrong.  I’m worried about you.”  Jungkook sounds too sincere, too sweet for you.  I nearly makes you whimper again.
You manage to take a deep breath, try to clear your head but it gets caught on the alluring scent of his cologne.  It manages enough to look at him.  “I’m fine Jungkook-ah, thank you.”  Jungkook isn’t convinced one bit but he let’s you go.  His brain just short circuited from you calling him in an endearing way.  The way you look when you say it, all red, your vision unfocused and heavy, a bit out of breath, it makes a blush of his own tint his cheeks.
When you make it back to the table the secretaries are giving you a look that makes you want to crawl out of here.  “Thanks everyone for the lovely even but I must be going.”  You say in as straight a voice as you can.  To pay for your tab you reach into your purse for you wallet.
Yoona stops you from calling over the waiter.  “Ladies I believe Y/N is our winner tonight.”  “I agree.” Mina adds.  “What did she win?”  One of the interns asks.  “Just a game we have.”  Sooji answers.  You’d like to argue but Minwoo is probably waiting out front for you.  Jungkook is just returning to the table in time for your goodbyes.
Outside Minwoo’s car is parked a few spots down with the driver waiting at the door for you.  He opens the door for you to slide in next to Minwoo.  The driver gets back in and starts to take you home.  Minwoo waits for the car to be out on the street again to speak.
“How was your evening?”  He places a gentle hand on your knee.  You lean a bit closer and give him a smile.  “Just the usual evening of office gossip.”  Minwoo smiles back.  “Anything interesting?”  “Not really.  At least nothing you’d be interested in hearing.”  He nods and looks back to the window.
Blue nights when you’re tipsy and on edge like this are the hardest to be patient through the car ride.  It’s one of Minwoo’s unspoken rules that nothing ever happens in the car.  Part of it is kind consideration for his driver.  The other part is to keep the tension for as long as he possibly can.
You’d love nothing more than to drag Minwoo up to his apartment and take what you need.  Maybe sneak in some fun in the elevator even.  That would be breaking too many rules and would certainly get you punished and not what you want any faster.  Instead you walk diligently by his side through the building, stand like mere acquaintances in the elevator, and enter his apartment as if there’s no sense of urgency.
Like every time before the two of you step out of your shoes and go to his bedroom.  All accessories are put in the proper place and Minwoo goes to his closet to hang his blazer.  The mood clicks when he comes out with half the buttons on his shirt already undone.  His eyes and steps across to you are solid.  “Go ahead and undress.”  He speaks low once his barely a foot away.
Now you can be allowed to rush a little.  Quickly your fingers work to unzip and unbutton your clothes.  Minwoo takes it a bit slower to watch you strip down to nothing and settle on the bed.  He leaves on just his boxers and joins you on the bed.  He keeps his movements even paced, crawling over to you only to hover over the top half of you.
“My poor girl looks like she’s had a rough day.  Did the girls tease you too much tonight?”  Minwoo words are a taunting purr.  “You’re quite flushed I worried they got you too drunk or made fun of you.”  He finally touches your cheek and you have no qualms now with leaning into it.  The softness of his touch is soothing but also like fuel to your fire.
He always knows exactly when you need more and thankfully he delivers.  Light pecks to your lips turn to long almost loving kisses.  Somehow he keeps a damper on your eagerness.  He leads you in languid, tension melting, locking of you lips.  It feels like hours of only your mouths touching but somehow it’s enough.
It comes as a shock to feel a firm grip to your upper thigh.  The kiss breaks with your surprised gasp.  “Perhaps you’re so flustered from having to be stimulated all day?”  Your steamed head can’t get it together to make a response.  Especially not when the hand on your thigh is gliding up to your center.
Minwoo knows better than to keep you waiting any longer.  His hand doesn’t stop until he’s running two fingers through your soaked folds.  You moan out loud and unhindered to finally have someone touch you.  His slick fingers twirl around your clit and it feels incredible.
You’re too out of it to even notice Minwoo shifting his weight down the bed.  The pleasure of his fingers grows twice as good at the addition of his tongue.  The first slick press of it has you clawing into the bed sheets.  His fingers keep you spread open for his tongue to work wonders.
You’re so sensitive from your long day that it takes only a few minutes for him to bring you right over the edge of your orgasm.  Your whole body shakes with the intensity.  It feels especially good to be clenching around the shaking balls.  Minwoo keeps gently licking at you for as long as you keep trembling, seeing as you really deserve the release.
Minwoo sits up once you relax and run your fingers through his hair.  “Feel better?”  He wipes your release from his smirk with the back of his hand.  You nod with a long breath.  “But you know I need a bit more.”  You answer keeping your fingers playing with his dark hair.  He chuckles.  “Why did I expect you to say that?”
Minwoo doesn’t wait for an answer he just wraps his finger into the cord of the ball connector and pulls them out.  A small grunt comes from your chest as they slip out of you.  Your core muscles are still try to tightly hold them in.
Dangling them from his finger Minwoo holds the toy up.  The two of you watch as your wetness gathers along the curves and drips down to the bed.  That kicks him into a speed you’re happy with.  The toy gets tossed to the edge of the mattress to be cleaned later.  Minwoo is quick to have his boxers join it.
Now completely bare, Minwoo pulls you down the bed until your hips meet his.  He aligns himself to your entrance and slides in right to the base.  Another loud moan of yours echoes through the room.  Your walls are hypersensitive to every inch of him inside you.
Minwoo leans down to rest his weight on his elbows so your bodies are pressed close.  His hips move in a slow roll into yours.  The angle and grind let you feel his entire length in every movement.  His lips find yours again.  He starts the same languid strokes of his tongue with yours that match the speed of his thrusts.
The scene is hot, smooth, and sensual.  Every inch of your body is enraptured in this physical heaven.  It’s so easy to lose every thought and sense of time.  As long as you know you’ve been in this blissful place for hours.
The build up of your second orgasm feels nearly as long as the first.  Minwoo is enjoying taking you apart in no rush but he can tell you’re ready for a bit more.  For the most part you were letting him work into you but now you’ve started rolling your hips with his to get a little more.
He breaks the kiss to look in your eyes.  They are beautiful to somehow be cloudy but sparkling at the same time.  With tender hold he takes the backs of your thighs and presses them up higher.  The slow roll of his hips also changes to a direct harsh thrust.
The change of angle and pace have your toes curling.  Each one of his thrust hits you right where you need it.  More pathetic sounds and curses fall from your lips.  They get higher in pitch and more airy as you reach your second release.
The tight quiver of your cunt has Minwoo groaning along with you.  He’s ready to finish with you but you still deserve the best.  He keeps giving you shallow strokes until again you’ve settled.  Once he’s sure you’re over your peak he pulls out and spills his load over your stomach.  One of his hands coming away from your leg to hold his length.
Minwoo doesn’t need long to catch his breath then his moving to get the tissues.  He cleans you up quickly and disposes of the mess.  “You did a great job today.”  He whispers with few more quick pecks to your lips before he goes to clean the ben wa and wash for bed.
You lay there sprawled on the bed trying to convince yourself to get up and join him in the shower.  If only your eyelids weren’t so heavy and your legs felt a bit more solid then it wouldn’t be so difficult.  With great effort you eventually do get to your feet and drag yourself into the bathroom.
Minwoo laughs a bit at your zombie-like movements.  He helps to wash you quickly then dries you both off.  Being the gentleman that he is he even carries you back to bed.  You almost don’t remember him kissing you goodnight before slipping into dreamland.  You do remember thinking about just how satisfied and blissful you feel.

first lady, six.
Tumblr media
pairing: taehyung x reader. word count: 4.4k content: angst, inappropriate language, ice hockey!au a/n: first off, i’d like to dedicate this chapter to the amazing @jangjangboom7 that has been dealing with my shitty self lately and still being so wonderful and i love her for that; also to the lovely @uberbabetae that’s my yelling partner at hockey matches and rival for the day, you’re the best and i love you; last but not least to the absolute angel that @seaseok is! i love you, beautiful being! i also wanna thank all of you for the love you’ve been given first lady, y’all have a special place in my heart!now prepare the tissues and enjoy.
one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten.
Voices surrounded you the whole time and now that your eyes began to feel lighter, the voices finally seemed to carry a clear message with them. You felt Yoongi’s angst when he asked how could it be possible - you had no idea of what it was but for your brother to react just like that, it had to be something hell serious for sure. You felt you father’s concern when he asked why did you pass out if the whole problem was your knee and it didn’t take much effort to catch up with the nurse when she said that it was just too much pain for your body to process.
But, more than anything, you felt your mother’s sorrow as she requested silence.
You also felt how incredibly warm your left hand was compared to the right one and that’s when you knew you should try to break through the darkness and fight to open your eyes.
A painful grunt came from the back of your throat as your irises welcomed back the artificial lightening of your room and it all fell silent for a moment.
Doe, teary eyes found yours almost immediately and, even though you were still confused, you knew it was the first time ever seeing your mother like this.
“Eomma… Don’t cry…” you mumbled weakly, making her sniff and shake her head fiercely as her hand came to caress your cheek. “I’m okay, I swear.”
“Yes, you are, honey bee.” you didn’t have the energy to be surprised by your childhood nickname reaching your ears out of nowhere and it was only less shocking than to hear your mom so apprehensive. What the hell have happened?
“We won the game, right?” with your eyebrows knitted together, you asked for the one thing that could have gone wrong as the nurse came to check your reflexes.
“Paboya!” Yoongi directed to you for the first time since you woke up. “You’ve got us dead worried and all you care about is the game?”
“I gotta know if it was worth the hit!” you replied, smiling as you had the opportunity to watch him chuckle nervously and curse under his breath.
“The boys nailed the overtime. Hong with the winning goal so no need to worry, babe.” as if your father’s voice wasn’t enough to make you dizzy, he head to call you by that name. The change in the atmosphere was clear and you didn’t dare to look his way, afraid that you couldn’t hold back from the urge to punch your own father.
You were ready to tell him to never call you that again when the mortifying sensation of someone stepping in different parts of your body at the same time hit you like a truck. Your hands instinctively flew to hold your forehead as a groan passed by your widely parted lips. Out of habit, you tried to curl yourself so you could manage to support the feeling but a sharper pain, initiated in your right knee, sent electrical waves to every nerve and muscle of your body, making it impossible not to scream.
Your family’s desperate attempts to make you calm down never worked out. The nursing team got to action not only in assisting you but also in expelling the Mins out of the room since it was stressing you out and making you no good.
“Did you really had to bring that up?” your mom shot the moment she realized they just wouldn’t let the three of them back in the room - at least not together. Both her son and husband looked at her as her eyes furiously lit up while referring to the eldest.
“What? Is it my fault now?” he scoffed in disbelief.
“How could you simply talk about the game after what happened?”
“She asked about it! We both know Y/N-ie would go crazy if she didn’t hear about it!”
Yoongi shut his eyes closed and took the deepest breath as the argument escalated right in front of him. He knew how dense his parents could be and honestly felt like an idiot for expecting that it’d be any different because you were involved - since they tended to save it for later when you were around.
They have been blaming each other for the littlest things since before he was born, why did he hope it to be otherwise now that something so serious happened? They couldn’t even consider how devastating news awaited for you, they had to keep playing that game were who screams louder, wins. No, your fragile state was not enough to keep a white flag held high while they worked on their shared concerns for awhile. It was just another excuse to being another war.
Yoongi knew he wouldn’t be able to hold it back for much longer, not when he knew what you’ve been through before the game and what expected you after that night. Even though he kept in mind that he should play it cool for you, he also knew that there was always the option of being done with your parents’ shit - one you’d easily forgive later and the most tempting one at the moment.
“Could the both of you stop bitching for a second and listen to me?” he asked before opening his eyes, only to find his parents blankly staring at him as he silently prayed for wisdom. “Y/N knows about the divorce and she knows about Bomi so it’d be really helpful if the two of you didn’t treat her like a baby and stopped blaming the one fucking thing that was keeping her sane.” his words and gaze found his mom and dad once he advised them directly.
He gave himself a mental pat once he realized he kept a constant tone while scolding his own parents. He never thought he’d ever do that but, for the sake of his sister, he’d do anything.
“Did you tell her?” Mr Min was ready to jump in his son with all the conclusions that clouded his head through that brief silence if it wasn’t for his wife’s smooth movement.
Soon enough, they were glaring at each and Yoongi knew another battle was about to happen.
“Excuse me.” the nurse called with a polite smile, making the trio snap their heads in her direction. “Y/N-ssi wants to see her oppa.”
There was no need to be told twice. As soon as Yoongi had the chance, he sneaked in your room just to find your form even more vulnerable than it was a few minutes ago. His heart shrunk and he had to fight back the tears as he approached you.
He knew he’d be one of the few people - if not the only one - to notice that you were putting so much effort to keep a decent conversation with the doctor. Your eyes gave away your brokenness and Yoongi desperately searched his mind for a remedy for your upcoming state given you still didn’t know about the whole situation just yet.
“So this is the beloved oppa!” the doctor joked as Yoongi got close enough, greeting her with a half bow.
“He wasn’t even supposed to be in town but since he is, might as well be live up for the title.” you stated with an uncontainable smile. Every single part of your body hurt by now but to have someone you trusted enough - and could keep himself together - by your side at that moment made it bearable. “If you’d like to proceed…” the suggestion came as your eyes met the doctor’s. It was a dirty hit and you knew it’d take long to recover but still you kept believing that you could be back on ice before the team’s summer camp, so you’d make it in full power for the playoffs.
As you daydreamed about a glorious return to the ice - and a well deserved revenge if your school had the chance to face that stupid captain again -, both your brother and the doctor shared a concerned glance. It was written all over your face that you couldn’t wait to go back and it only made it worse. None of them could predict how you’d take the news and for that, Yoongi judged wise to hold your hand, making you instantly frown at his action.
“Y/N-ssi.” the doctor called sweetly and you turned to face her. “I’m afraid I can’t fulfill your expectations.”
Those words were enough to make your heart race and everything to become a blur as the diagnostic met your senses even though you gave your best to believe otherwise.
Taehyung wasn’t sure where that sound came from - his stomping feet or his heartbeats - but it was getting louder than his thoughts and he was quite grateful for that. Mumbling the number of your room, the captain trained his eyes to every sign he saw, holding tight to the bouquet and the paper bag he had in hands.
He spent the whole sunday drowning in misery, worries and pessimistic thoughts as no one had a clue of your current state or how did your surgery go that it almost felt like a dream when, this morning, Yoongi texted him, asking him if he could come by to see you after class. Alone, he even remarked before explaining thatyou convinced him to travel back to his current home. So Taehyung didn’t even think twice before gathering his stuff and leaving a message for his parents and best mates that he was off to see you and would soon return with news - as if they didn’t knew he’d run to you the moment someone told him he could.
Once he found his destination, Taehyung sighed deeply, pulling off a mental note that making sure your humor was intact was his priority. He knew how you valued your mindset and, honestly, it was the main key for your recovery.
He noticed your knee held high when he opened the door and his concern only increased. Knee injuries were always his biggest fears just like to most of the other players he knew. It was never simple and the complications always came with a massive headache.
The fact that you were awake and turned from the phone to face him once he entered the room was something he took as a good sign but his heart sank the moment he noticed the usual sparkle you held in your stare was gone.
“Who are you?” Mrs Min’s solemn voice resonated until it found the both of you and forced you to break eye contact. Taehyung immediately stepped back, turning to the place your mom eyed him from before respectfully greeting her.
“I’m Kim Taehyung. Your daughter’s friend.” he added, giving her a polite smile even though the eyebrow she cocked never came down.
“I appreciate your intentions but Y/N requested no vis-”
“Could you leave us?” you interrupted, taking the two of them by surprise, four startled eyes darting in your direction right away. “Just for a few minutes.” the magical smile that could get you anything from your parents crossed your lips as you persisted. You mother examined your expression, unable to find a reason to deny you that. She quietly left but not less suspicious. You haven’t even accepted to see your best friend, how could you welcome that boy? “Did my main idiot send you?” you mused, catching his attention back to you. Taehyung shrugged, still a bit uncomfortable with how your mom glared at him but it didn’t stop him to approach you.
“Hyung thought it was a good idea.” he shrugged, making you nod.
“It was. Five more minutes with her and I’d go crazy, seriously!” even when he knew it was nothing but a simple joke, Taehyung couldn’t help but to glare at you just like he would do to any of the guys and you were glad he did. You liked that friend of yours far more than you could comprehend. “Is this for me?” with your chin, you pointed to the presents he brought.
“Yep.” he nodded. “Even though I’m not sure if they’ll allow you to have this.” the chuckle escaped when he was at your bedside before handing you the gifts, especifically referring to the paper bag.
As unwrapping the gift, you couldn’t fight the feeling that came along with his smile as he watched you: you missed your captain and the effects of his mere presence. Taehyung didn’t need to say or do anything for you to know he cared and it made you momentaneously forget about that thunderstorm you were facing.
You smiled widely once you held in your hands the very first jersey you wore as the newest addition to the team, at the wanted and hated center position. It was an easy one to identify since every single person related to the team then have signed it, congratulating you and wishing you a bright future. You could easily recall the comments you heard the moment you were announced as one of the best forwards of the team. She’s a Min, right? I bet they’re only doing this because of her brother. She’s is a girl, she can’t be that good. It only fueled the fire inside of you to prove them all wrong.
And you did.
Exceeding expectations and settling a whole new thought when it came to ice hockey in your town. The rightful, the one and only First Lady.
And now, in a blink of an eye, it was being taken away from you.
You instantly went back to who you were before Taehyung showed up and lit up the whole room: the girl watching the clip they put online of her getting wrecked, dying to each comment under it. The nicest you could find was a “she’s finally proving of her own medicine”; but none of them hurt as much as the first of them - that’s what happens to people who think they deserve the game but do nothing but to disrespect it.
So were you really unworthy of hockey? Was that really karma coming for you after all the trouble you brought to your team? Were you playing the game you so loved in such a wrong way?
Shutting your eyes closed, you clenched the jersey to your chest, fighting the lump that suddenly showed up in your throat and with that Taehyung was lost. Automatically, he came closer, his hands cupping your cheeks as his thumbs wiped your stubborn tears away. You couldn’t help but to melt under his touch.
“Y/N…” he called in a constant tone even though he was desperate for seeing you like this. “Where does it hurt? Just tell me.” it was a plea by the end of it as you shook your head in denial.
“Nowhere that can be fixed.” a bitter chuckle left your lips and Taehyung retreated with wide eyes and a deep frown. He knew that tone way too well.
“Y/N.” he voiced a sutil demand as you swallowed your cry.
“Answer me, Kim.” your eyes found his again, the last bit of confidence you had in yourself was the only thing that kept your head high. “Am I that much of a shame as a player?”
“What?” his immediate reaction was to make a face to the most absurd thing he heard. Taehyung allowed himself to have a second thought since it would be of no help to you. “Where did you get that from?” he asked in a much softer voice with attentive eyes to your every move even when it was as annoying as a roll of your eyes.
“Answer me first.”
“The fact that you’re one of the best players in the country should answer for itself.” his reply came full of calm and seriousness, making it clear that he had no doubt about that. “Now where the hell did you get that from?”
Sighing, you reached for your phone not taking long in showing him the answer. You followed as Taehyung’s face retorted and he replied to every single comment under his breath, not loud enough for you to distinguish his words. Not even an entire minute went by before he gave up reading, telling you that those things were nothing but nonsense coming from untalented people. You chuckled as he kept going with his speech, not holding back the thought that you’d miss listening to him in his captain mode and his pep talk before every game or practice.
Kim Taehyung was a precious leader and friend and you were lucky to have met both.
“It doesn’t matter anymore.” you declared, not really ready for the pain those words would cause you - or him: “I’m never playing hockey again.”
“Yes, you are.” once again, he replied the first thing that crossed his mind, making you smile at his innocent honesty.
“No, I’m not.” once again you were fighting your body to contain your tears. You still had some pride left, you wouldn’t let yourself down like that. “That’s how bad this injury is, that’s how bad I busted my knee. That means no playoffs, no scholarship, no Olympics… There’s not one single percent of possibility of me playing professional hockey, Taehyung, I’m done.”
Taehyung blinked slowly as the meaning clouded his mind and gave him time to organize a coherent sequence of words at least. It was still too fresh but there was no way on earth he’d let you give up like this. That was not you. That was not his First Lady.
“Square up, Min.” he called. “You’ll be kicking some ass in that pond real soon and I’ll be just there to annoy the hell out of you.”
When Taehyung got home, later that night, he couldn’t help but to shed a few tears. It was just so unfair and it made no sense at all. How was that even allowed to happen? How could your dream be taken away from you that easily? He knew how much hockey meant to you, especially in that moment of your life when everything was so messed up.
“Oppa?” Eonjin called, knocking on his door after the dinner. “Are you awake?” she insisted when she didn’t get a reply.
“Come in.” he simply responded, fixing his posture as his sister walked in. “What is it?” Taehyung did his best to act like nothing troubled his mind. He only didn’t count on the fact that his sister could read him just as easily as his parents.
“How bad is unnie?” the girl asked gently before taking a seat by his side. He even thought about getting away of the subject but it was not a good option. He sighed instead, polishing his answer before saying anything.
“Worse than she thinks, I guess…” he was honest, getting an acknowledging nod in response.
“We can pray for her if you want to.” Eonjin suggested moving her hands to express her will of doing it and Taehyung effortlessly smiled at that. “And make her snacks for the next time you go visit her.”
“That’s a pretty good idea.” he rose his eyebrows. “I’d like that.”
“I knew you would. I mean, food is the way to a girl’s heart and I figured you’re pretty desperate…”
“You’re a genius, aren’t you?” Taehyung glared at her with small eyes and his sister shrugged.
“Someone had to get the brains.” with a movement mastered over the years, Eonjin avoided her brother’s elbow, smiling triumphantly. “You should ask for forgiveness while praying though.” she added while reaching for his hands.
“I’ll remember that.” Taehyung winked and allowed his sister to lead the brief prayer, not refraining his smile at her cuteness and how much of her heart she put in that prayer.
That was quite understandable. In that house, you were not just the girl he liked. You were also Eonjin’s hero since the little girl looked up to you when it came to her dreams even when she had a captain as her brother. Taehyung wondered if you had any idea of it - that you were a role model for other girls that would soon join the league, that your diagnostic would affect other people like Eonjin and himself.
Again, it was so unfair.
Taehyung then took an oath: he’d stay by your side, no matter what happened.
“Amen.” he repeated right after his sister by the end of the prayer, pulling her to a warm hug on the next second. “Thank you, princess.”
“Whenever you need, captain.” she answered in the same tone before standing on her feet, ready to leave the room. “And oppa?” she called out at the door, catching his stare locked on hers. “Show unnie the bright side. You’re the only one who can do that so don’t hold back, ok?” still processing her words, Taehyung gave her a hum of agreement. “Good night, oppa.”
“Good night, Jinie.” he whispered after she closed the door behind her.
Taehyung barely gave it a deeper thought as his phone caught his attention just by his side.
JIMIN [21:49] y/n just asked me to study with her tomorrow
He knew exactly what it meant. They had practice for the whole afternoon on the next day but Jimin wouldn’t think twice about skipping it to help her. Y/N was not only his team and classmate but also a good friend and if there was something he could do for her, he would and his captain - and best friend - couldn’t be more grateful.
TAEHYUNG [21:50] i can arrange that JIMIN [21:50] thanks JIMIN [21:50] but that’s not the only thing i’m asking tho
Taehyung frowned as soon as he read that. Certainly Jimin had already thought of something to cheer you up and he’d be a part of that.
JIMIN [21:51] have u ever wrote a poem? JIMIN [21:51] u better bc i saved u the first page
A simple, true laugh escaped and Jimin couldn’t help but to look in your direction just as giggly. It was nice seeing you smile for a change. You had been dead serious since he arrived and through the whole study session, as you catched up with the couple days of school you missed, you kept it that way.
When you found his eyes, you held back for a second just because you thought he needed an explanation.
“I thought your grades were good because of your looks.” you pointed to the notebooks opened in front of you. “But you’re actually pretty good in Literature, Park.” his cheeks warmed up in a new color as he kept a smug smile in his face and you couldn’t even blame him for trying to keep his head tall as you mocked him.
“Do I hear an apology?” his left eyebrow raised as he expected a firm denial and that’s how your nod caught him off guard.
“I’m sorry, Park Jimin.” you half bowed and there was no way he could feel more uncomfortable. You weren’t known for openly acknowledging your mistakes and there were just a few people that could say that have heard that from you. Now, Jimin was one of them.
“Malia has the highest grades.” he looked down immediately, gulping in the act and you sighed.
Somehow, you knew he’d bring that up. Malia was your best friend and your study buddy since you could remember. The natural choice was to ask her to help you until you could return. But you had no strength to face her. Knowing how emotive she was, you knew you’d see pity in her eyes and it was more than you could take.
“I’m not ready for her.” you confessed, shaking your head slightly as you mimicked his action to go back to the books. “Not yet.”
Jimin stole a glance from you but refrained himself to ask any further questions about it. You had the right to keep your feelings to yourself at least.
He barely interrupted as the afternoon passed by, saving a few jokes for the moments you got stressed out. By the end of it, your relief for being able to hold back your questions about the team reflected in your eyes. It bothered Jimin, of course, but he had been warned about that.
When it was finally time for him to leave, you settled for friday as a date for your next study session to which he agreed right away.
“I almost forgot.” he said in a high pitched voice, startling you while turning on his heels and walking back to you. He took out of his pocket a tiny sketchbook and delicately placed it in your bedside. “This is from your team, Min. You still got one.”
For the first time ever you have been affected by Park Jimin’s combo of sweet voice, lovely gaze and melting smile and he surely wasn’t trying to get anything from you. In fact, he was the giver right now. Jimin was giving you a glimpse of the personal amount of faith he had in you - the faith your team had in you.
Once Jimin was no longer in the room, you gathered courage to take the sketchbook and see the doodles on the cover, lines you knew too well. Gently passing your fingertips over it, you couldn’t help but smile as you imagined Jungkook putting together all the things he related to you - from food, to words and, of course, illustrations of you beating someone. His signature on the left corner had a heart below it with your initials inside and it made you laugh and take a mental note of hitting him when you had the chance.
You bit your lip once you turned the page and the simple sight of a familiar handwriting made your heart race.
Not a poem about Y/N: When I first saw her, she walked like she owned the world And boy, she did She didn’t know it just yet Still doesn’t And that’s why I promised To trust and to care To love and to dare Until she finds out who rules the world Then I’ll just keep on doing it To trust and to care To love and to dare Until she decides I’m no longer hers And even then I won’t take my heart back Because of this other promise I’ve made For this small First Lady of mine, of course

[TRANS] The Star November 2016 - INFINITE Interview
Tumblr media
SUNG_KYU
Please give a simple introduction to INFINITE’s 6th mini album <INFINITE ONLY>. The title song from this album, which we’re presenting to everyone after such a long time, is ‘Typhoon’. We named it <INFINITE ONLY> because it’s an album that only INFINITE can come out with. INFINITE, 7th year idols, you’re not very young(?) anymore, it seems like you have a huge responsibility as an idol. It’s not really a responsibility, but I think we’ve started to work harder than before. We also have a bigger desire to improve and show an even cooler appearance on stage. With the musical <All Shook Up>, that’s already four musicals that you’ve starred in. What would you say the biggest charm about a musical is? I’m also curious about what you think your strength is as a musical actor. I think the musical genre is quite charming. I like being able to sing while bringing life to a different character on stage. If I had a strong point, it would be my effort in including my own charms into whichever character I’m playing. You’ve had a lot of individual promotions this year compared to the other members. Are you going to continue your individual promotions after this album as well? I would like to… If something is asked of me, I’ll try my best to do it. As the leader, what do you dream of for INFINITE 10 years later? I would like to be on stage and giving awesome performances even 10 years from now. That’s INFINITE, the team I dream of.
DONG_WOO
You’ve made a comeback with the mini album <INFINITE ONLY> after 1 year and 2 months. This break was longer than other ones, fans must be the happiest of all. Yes. I’m also really happy to be able to see fans after such a long time. Luckily, all of the fans give us so much love and support, so we’re promoting very happily. You must have had a hard time right before this album came out, I’m relieved to see you so cheerful. What gave you the most strength? First of all, it was my family’s unity. After that, it was seeing the INFINITE members working hard to fill my empty spot. The company staff looking out for me, encouragements from people around me. And last of all, it was all thanks to Inspirit’s love and support. Hip hop is really trending lately. When will we be able to see INFINITE H promote again? Even now, we have songs that we’re working on. In the future, if we are able to collaborate with a variety of artists, wouldn’t we be able to show you all? Lately, the webtoons that Dongwoo reads are a hot topic amongst fans. You must enjoy reading webtoons normally then. Yes. The message that each webtoon gives me is different. Some bring up my memories from school, and there are times where my rap lyrics are influenced as well. Many are quite four dimensional, while containing funny content. That’s why I think I read a variety of webtoons. Webtoon artists, fighting!
SUNG_YEOL
You’re already a 7 year idol group. There are many ‘7 year jinx idols’ but INFINITE alone has continued to promote without any big incidents. What’s your secret? We dormed together, starting from when we were trainees until quite recently. We used to argue with each other a lot in the past, but now we’ve really become a family. We’re so close that we can understand each other just by looking at each other’s eyes. Now that I think about it, INFINITE is on its 7th year, there are 7 members, and Sungyeol’s alcohol limit is 7 bottles of soju. What does 7 mean to you (laughter)? I like the number 7. It’s the number that brings luck and I think it’s a number that has a very positive power! You guys had such a long absence, it’s a shame that we didn’t see Sungyeol during that time. How did you personally spend your time? I spent my time doing hobbies that I can’t do when I’m busy. I hurt my back a while ago, so I’ve been diligently exercising and doing rehab. I was preparing a lot in order to show an even better side for this comeback. What is the future you dream of while promoting in the entertainment industry? For example, what is your ultimate goal? I’ve also thought a lot about this…(laughter). I would like to try being a trot singer in my 50s. I’d like to steadily promote as an actor. A goal for the near future would be for INFINITE to become a long-lasting idol group and it would be nice to continue seeing fans.
SUNG_JONG
It seems like Sungjong-ssi has a lot of interest in fashion. I’m curious about your participation in the album concept or in any visual aspect. For our title song stage, all of the jewelry I wore, I bought myself. I also expressed my opinion for the hairstyle concept as well. What kind of influence does fashion have on music and artist promotions? In whatever case, when you wear cool clothes, you gain confidence. Stage costumes are an important part. It’s a hot topic that you lost 10 kg especially for this comeback. What exactly is your secret method? You’re really like a ‘fairy’. Yes. I’m like a fairy, right (laughter)? Lately, fans have been calling me ‘Fairy Sungjong’ and ‘MimiJjong’. It was hard dieting. I’d want to eat, but because I wanted to show a good appearance for the fans, I withheld. What are your hobbies lately? Lately, I collect rings, earrings, necklaces, and other accessories. I look for and buy unique items. Most of the accessories that I wear onstage are those accessories. INFINITE’s music is of a refined retro style that doesn’t follow the trend. Is this a strength that only INFINITE has? Of course. We don’t use a lot of electronic sounds in our music. And we also continue to improve. What was a typhoon in your life? This moment. I’ll leave it up to everyone’s imagination (laughter). What is ‘INFINITE’ to you? A treasure. A beautifully shining treasure. If there was no INFINITE, there would be no me.
L
It seems like you’ve been swamped with group promotions and individual promotions as well. My INFINITE and acting activities are overlapping so I’m a bit tired, but I enjoy every day because I’m able to show many different sides of myself. Among this album’s songs, which is your favorite? There’s a song called <Thank You>, which is a love song for Inspirit. You guys held your summer concert, <That Summer>, this year right? It was a great time being able to see everyone at a small theater concert after such a long time. We’ll have many concerts going forward, so please show lots of interest then as well. We can’t leave out talk about your appearance on MBC’s <King of Masked Singer> this year. It must have been gratifying to quiet the people who only thought of you as INFINITE’s visual. Thank you. It feels like I’ve gotten one step closer to the ideal world that I want. It was a great experience and it incited thoughts in me of wanting to work harder in the future. Please look forward to seeing various sides of me. Your acting career is fully blooming. We hear you got cast for KBS’s one-act drama <The Day After We Broke Up>, what kind of drama is it? It’s a fantasy romance drama. It’s a time warp drama where the main character, Yoo Tan, lives his life in repeat while recovering the forgotten, important things [in life] that he was unaware of. If you were to name a role model? Leonardo DiCaprio and Ed Sheeran!
WOO_HYUN
Because of your solo album, we met for the June edition of <The Star>, it’s great seeing you so soon. Yes. I’m also glad we’re meeting again so soon! You wrapped up your solo album <Write> successfully. Was it an album that fulfilled everything you wanted it to (The editor liked ‘Scent’)? I’m glad because it was an album that proved my abilities as a solo artist. I’m also looking forward to the next album (laughter). At our last interview, I felt you matured a lot internally and emotionally. What factors influence Woohyun internally? I think that I’m maturing little by little as I get older and it’s also because there are more things to feel as well (laughter). As a part of INFINITE, what is another adjective you’d like to use to describe yourselves? As a part of INFINITE, I hope we could become ‘Long-lasting-dols’.
HOYA
1st place yesterday, 1st place today. Your parade of 1st place wins keep on going. Congratulations! Thank you. Because Inspirit worked so hard, we’re very thankful but also sorry. I would like to relay my thanks once again to Inspirit. It feels like the choreography for the title song ‘Typhoon’ is a little less knife-like than before. Is this a small change that INFINITE is pursuing? To be honest, from the beginning, we never thought ‘We have to have knife-like choreography’. But when we debuted, a lot of people said that about us. Now, we try to include our own individual flavor. Going forward, is there a concept that you would like to try through INFINITE? Even when I think about it, it seems like we only stick to breakup songs and obsession concepts (laughter). I think it would be good to try something different now. You were on Mnet’s <Hit the Stage>. What do you pay attention to most while blocking the stage? Did you learn anything? I didn’t plan too much and purely did what I wanted to do. More than learning something, I realized something once again. I’m definitely much better when I do the things that I like rather than doing something I’m told to do. I don’t think doing what others command, like a puppet, suits me. This year, the film <Hiya> was shown. You were even given the Rookie Actor award at the Golden Film Awards, congratulations. Do you have any acting plans? Thank you! I have a lot of plans personally but I can’t just do whatever I want. Since I’m still in the position of doing as I’m told, drawing up plans is quite vague. I’m not sure when, but I’ll continue to appear as an actor. You look serious and reserved but you’re very talented. Is there something else that you would like to challenge? Yes. I’m preparing to take on a new challenge with my friends. If it’s quick, maybe by next year? I can’t tell you anything in detail but please look forward to it!
