It was supposed to be a simple get in and get out. You all had a plan, you all had jobs. But it was never meant to end like that.

It felt like time has stopped, only allowing you a few milliseconds to turn around at what everyone was looking at.

Thanos and Loki. Both their faces were purple, though one wasn't meant to be purple. You screamed into the air, telling someone to do something, anything, but you couldn't even hear your own voice. The screams that you couldn't hear though, your lover could. It pained him just as much as every wrong, or Thanos had pained him.

He could feel your small hands pull on his green robes, the sound of your tears hitting it sounding like rain. He was fine like that, he was ready to go.

"Loki," you screamed, pulling him closer to your chest, not caring about Thanos. "Loki, please! Please wake up!" Tears streamed down your face, begging him over and over again. "Loki- please! I never got the chance to tell you that I love you." Your voice was soft, but it held so much pain. "Loki, I want to hear you say it back, okay? Loki-" Your wishes were no longer his command as they fell on dead ears. "Loki!" You pulled the man's limp body closer to your chest. "Loki, please, I beg of you! It already hurts so much!"

The last thing you remember was Tony grabbing onto you and you screaming at him and yelling, "no, not yet!"

It's been months since that day, and you were still grieving. Tony would check up on you every week or so. And everytime you would cradle yourself into a ball screaming, "it hurts."

Thor would check up on you, but he would always tell you to suck it up and argue with you.

"You know, Y/n, he was my brother, too! But you don't see me crying-"

"Shut the hell up, Thor!" Your voice was dipped in poison as you spoke. "I know he was your brother! For fuck sake, shed a tear over him, cry the blood of a weeping sheep- just don't tell me to stop crying over him. I deserve this! If I just paid a little more attention!"

And that's where the conversation would end.

Every night it was so lonely, so cold, without Loki by your side. You would shiver a thousand times, would wake up from nightmares at twelve am.

"Loki," you cried out, mumbling his name for the past hour as if it would bring him back to life. "Loki, please-" You were angry at yourself. If maybe you had a different plan, if maybe you did one thing differently, if maybe you turned around a bit early. "Loki," you whined, tears flowing down your face.

"I- I miss you so much, Loki." The tremble in your voice makes you cry even more. "It hurts everyday, Loki. Walking without you by my side is like not having legs at all, breathing feels like I've smoked ash for fifty years and set my lungs on fire, existing without you feels as cold as space. Why'd you have to go? Loki-" and there you were, talking to a deadman again- your deadman again.

But sometimes you'd have good dreams.

Like the one where Loki was still alive, or the dream that you guys were having a wedding, were having a family.

That's where'd you stay focus. On the good. On the dreams that weren't possible because Loki is dead-

Actually no idk where to start with this there’s so much anon there’S SO M U C H I guess I’ll do a run of MINIMAL changes tho (for as long as I can)

I don’t think I have to change much in the first two seasons, thankfully, since the writers actually sat down to think about what they were writing at the time but g o d did it go to hell afterwards

Season 3 - This Zane focused season is going to be ZANE FOCUSED DAMN IT. We’re focusing on his loss over his Father, having salt rubbed in the wound by having his father’s work turned into an evil army, and being faced with the fact he’s obsolete compared to it all. He keeps trying to stack up numbers to win, recalculate things, and it’s why his line at the ending ACTUALLY has impact. The thing that sets him apart from the nindroids, his ability to love, is what allows him to defeat the Overlord.

Jay, Cole and Nya love triangle is DESTROYED. Pixal, Zane and Cole is the new love triangle and later OT3

Season 4 - The explanation for the other EMs being around is far less stupid. Garmadon establishes that oh yeah all of your parents had elemental powers and even talks about a few of them because holy SHIT. Cole mentions his mom because he should have done that a g e s ago. Is this supposed to be a Kai season doesn’t feel like it. Open the season with better explanations of why the ninja split. Emphasis the fact that Kai blames himself for what happened to Zane, and continues to do so throughout the season. Add that to why he’s so desperate to save Skylor from her dad (not willing to lose someone else). We still lose Garmadon, Kai and Lloyd have a talk at the end of the season. Also ZANE IMMEDIATELY GOES TO GET PIXAL A NEW BODY WTHHH????

Season 5 - Idk this season was pretty good over all I think. A bit better lore established into the cloud kingdom, hints that they don’t actually control fate they just think they do. Explain where the FUCK NIMBUS CAME FROM?? Water can still beat up ghosts but idk feel like there should be some other factors involved, some magic. Kai and Zane figure out they can make water a LOT sooner. Also why doesn’t Kai just set the preeminent’s house armor on fire??? Should have. OH I did forget since this season is supposed to be for NYA GETTING HER WATER ELEMENT how about she actually GO WITH THE NINJA AND DO SOME SHIT SOMETIMES??? I don’t mind her training, specially Ronin helping her but like??? Wtf why not have her ENGAGE, idiots.

Season 6 - I’m the weirdo who actually likes season 6 but that doesn’t mean it’s not without its issues. I don’t mind Jay wondering about where he stands with Nya but his behavior throughout the season has to stay consistent. When he agrees with Nya he needs to let it go he needs to LET IT GO. IT LITERALLY SHOULDN’T BE BROUGHT UP AGAIN UNTIL THE LIGHTHOUSE. He also needs to linger more on his birth father (and besides he should have suspected he’s adopted since season 4 cause he knows neither of his parents had lightning powers). Zane doesn’t ignore Pixal’s warning about Nadakhan but if she’s off somewhere else idk how she gets threatened I’m sure Nadakhan could figure it out. OH and time can still reset and stuff idc but like, Jay and Nya need to talk about it and they need to GO BACK FOR ECHO. EVEN IF THEY DON’T FIND HIM THERE.

Day of the Departed - just wish it was longer tbh, but major changes: Why do the ninja not seem to care that cole is FADING OUT OF EXISTENCE and Lou should be a lot more worried about his son.

Season 7 - I mean, it’s mostly a trash fire, but I think it’d be a lot more enjoyable if they actually had good sibling dynamics going on. Acronix following his brother because he always has, but starts questioning their plans as things go. At first their relationship is much better, which is why they best Kai and Nya, but by the end that flips over. Actually have Kai and Nya having an ISSUE. Kai thinks their parents could have been traitors, Nya seemingly doesn’t care because she’s so wrapped up with her samurai x stuff being stolen. They end up fighting and don’t make up until the boiling sea. ALSO GIVE RAY AND MAYA A BETTER FUCKING EXCUSE FOR BEING GONE THEY COULD HAVE FUCKING SHANKED KRUX WHEN HIS BACK WAS TURNED GET OUT OF HERE HE HAD NO LEVERAGE.

Also Machia isn’t dead okay she’s just in the past she WILL COME BACK

Seasons 8 and 9 I’d say are pretty solid honestly? My minor changes: Garmadon isn’t Garmadon he’s a fucking fake get out of here with that shit THE REAL GARMADON WOULD NEVER. We actually learn where Mr. E came from I don’t even care if it’s just Harumi and UV talking about how they found him in a scrap heap and got him fixed just give me something. Stop treating Dareth like SHIT. Ronin and The Commissioner plan a jail break long before they’re let out in season 9. Teen Wu is a lot less... air headed. Like seriously he seems to have more logic when he’s a child it doesn’t add up. I’m not saying he has to remember everything but wth?? Oh, and Mistaké isn’t dead fuck you.

Season 10 - ............................................ delete it and start over. Literally, hate all of it, get it out of here. Four episodes for villains you built up like FUCK in the last two seasons??? All of them fucking as big as people???????? cowardly, weak, uninspired, I don’t want it I’m just going to have to redo this whole gd season. A) Oni leader is a QUEEN now and she can be up to 30 feet tall no I do not give a FUCK B) Fake ass Garmadon is revealed to be a different oni entirely he was an agent for the queen the whole time but never finished his mission C) She can still paralyze a bunch of people but man Lloyd you’re going to need more than a shiny tornado to fight her off. D) In fact you need to summon your other great grandma so the two of them can get over their divorce spat. E) Where’s the mask of vengeance bring that back into play. F) Mistaké shows back up to help. I suppose plot wise it can?? Mostly run the same but I think they’re going to have to run much farther than the city with how fast she spreads her reach. Also she’s weak for Lloyd because he’s the smol great grandson and he has to use that to his advantage to slow her down. Mistaké makes something that can unparalyze people and they get some of their allies back before the finale thank god. Faith isn’t just in a coma the whole GD time.

Season 11 - Fire half? Good. I need a much better reason why the ninja go to the never realm tho because wow did they just make everyone out of character in that last episode. The ninja have no reason to just ignore Wu and shove him out like that. Wu has no reason to NOT NOTICE LLOYD IS BREAKING INTO HIS ROOM WHEN HE WAS KICKING THE NINJAS ASSES IN THE FIRST EPISODE. Ice half?? ... h Yeah no they should have known Zane was the emperor from the start LMAO. Or at least suspected the possibility. The decades of time passing??? Deleted. Maybe give it a year. Idk why it’s just Lloyd snapping Zane out if why aren’t the other ninja involved like p l e a s e. Also kill Vex with an ice spike, thanks.

Season 12 - Over all I liked what this season had going but there... should have been more. And that ending felt so crunched together like damn... Unagami was a p cool villain at least BUT idk, despite all the focus on the plot so much of it didn’t feel tangible enough. Even if we’re going to focus more on the video game world I want to see more of what these NPCs are up to. Should have tossed in a couple of filler episodes. Also can someone just kill the Mechanic too SMH (and they should have tied Wu up in something sturdier how did he not just break out of that WHATEVER)

Suppose I’ll stop there I haven’t season season 13 yet.

Oh, the timeline itself needs some fucking work too. At least establish Wu and Garmadon’s sudden aging. At least establish how old Zane is (I’d believe he was built 40 years ago but I find it hard to believe he was active for all of it). Establish that yeah the FSM really did basically fuck off like idk 14 years ago and idk why the show acts like it was so long ago it couldn’t have been based on the other facts we know have Wu learn that his dad is a bitch ass motherfucker and he needs to ditch.

2. Do you have a personal favorite among your OCs?

Personal favorite is often shown in the one I draw the most lol, which for a long time was Danielle LWW, but just because she was also my wolfsona at the time. After I made my own personal one I think I went onto Sam for a good while, also eventually going to Dany from Bsd!

So a tie between two beautiful girls, Sam is definitely my favorite LWW Oc, she is just precious and the one I hold the most and most always feel terrible and bad when I put her through it TM. 

Also Dany is my self insert, U//w//U, she has definitely allowed me to slowly self love and allow me to appreciate myself, especially the parts of me I didn’t think to much about or consider so appealing, I think? She has definitely been changing gradually into more of myself since I first came up with her almost 2 years ago! Watch me slowly knock her down to my height of 4′9″, let her have her 3 inches for another year maybe lol.

19. Introduce an OC that means a lot to you (and explain why)

Definitely Darkwolfmon! I am sure I explained in the first question why, but again I consider her to be that other half of me, the part of me I never discovered or the parts that essentially fill in the gaps within me. She is my precious partner Digimon and has honestly come a long, long way since I first created her. I believe sometime in 2009-2010, so almost 11-12 years since. She was the first ever OC of mine and is one I hold closest too in my heart.

For the longest time, even too now, I have always wanted her to just manifest at my side. Go on this journey of life together. While she might not be physically here like my child-self would want, she is still in my stories, my imagination, my inspirational drive. I think that is definitely more than enough, I don't know where or who I would be without having created her. I probably wouldn’t have a whole tale of OC’s and stories to tell if it wasn't for her. 

I am more than grateful and thankful that I am who I am because of this lovely Oc of mine. I can only hope to have her at my side for the rest of my days!

20. Do any of your OCs sing? If they sing, care to share more details (headcanon voice, what kind of songs they like etc)?

Most, if not all, my OC’s can sing! Their voices and tones vary, to which I cannot give a straight answer on how I headcanon most of their voices right now ^^; I will say that Danielle has a British accent to her voice as well as Spanish speak, and Sora has a Russian accent to her voice, so may be just lightly deep, but not to much.

I will definitely go with my Bsd Oc/Self Insert Danielle Mika Mason, however! Because I have gone and done a thing on how she would speak in her Japanese and English Dub! Other than me also being her voice, her Japanese VA would be Yui Ishikawa, same VA of the queen herself, Mikasa 💕 English VA would be Barrett Wilbert Weed, with an English accent, good Veronica from the Heathers! You can have a listen to her here in this post! 

Dany is meek when it comes to her singing, she will often be caught humming and softly singing something, but quickly tends to stop around others. She is often back and forth with how she sounds and often shuts down when she hears someone she considers better than her. She just needs some encouragement and a gentle push from someone she really cares about. When she does feel the push and genuineness from someone she will sing her heart out. But of course prefers to sing for only that one special person~ can ya guess~ 🐯

Oh boi! I literally have moodboards to add to this! I pick Samantha, or Sam! 

She would totes have a Tumblr blog, and Instagram! You always look forward to see what she post and just feel an instant calmness and warmth when you see it! She is always tagging her things appropriately, a soft and warm spring like layout that is shades of yellows, golds, orange, white; an occasional blue and teal as well! She would reblog anything of her aesthetic, golds, yellows, dance and ballet related things (may even post videos or poses of herself in practice and dance related things), cafe shops, sweets and desserts, warm night lights, cats, lots and lots of cats and felines of all shapes and sizes! Her best friend/boyfriend, Takaru always cameos in her stories and posts 💖

She would also reblog or spread awareness of any issues happening in the world, marking them and making her own voice heard as well. In spur moments, you may see her not tag things, but will likely go back to name things accordingly. She would also reblog anything of Bi Pride too!

28. Your most dangerous OC? 

Hmmm,,, my most dangerous Oc, I am taking the notion that they are just plain dangerous and likely of evil intent in their actions. Because plenty of my Oc’s on their own are dangerous in their own right, such as the Legendary Wolf Warriors, who have a great power at their paws. They can be destructive in their actions if they lose control or use it for the wrong intentions, which they wouldn't do of their free will. 

I will say Danielle and Sam are the strongest of the seven, because of their powers of Darkness and Light, respectively. Their souls created the others, so the other Warrior’s power does not match theirs. They can definitely be lethal together if used for the wrong reasons or if they are under the control of a Human or Deadly Sin.

Which leads me to say that the most dangerous of my OC’s with the worst intentions and evil thought processes that makes them dangerous is likely the Deadly Soul Sin Pride, or Mikka Penelope King/Pride as her solid name goes. 

She is definitely the most sinister of the seven sins, even worse than Wrath, who you may figure would be the worst. She has a calculating mind and is very precise in her actions and ways of manipulation. She has a poison within her veins that is just as deadly, capable of blinding others or even killing without remorse or care. While she may be a ghost like entity in my stories, a person/digimon holder in my Digimon College Au, she has enough power to influence people to fall under pride and vanity in the most dangerous level possible, heck even possess them if she wishes. That makes her stronger, as well as the other sins. Does not matter if she is dead or fades away for a while, her influence remains and if it does, than she can exist for a long as she desires.

48. OC who is a perfect cinnamon roll, too good for this world, too pure

Lol I saw cinnamon roll and instantly had a list of ocs ready, honestly any child OC I have is instantly a cinnamon roll and to good and put for this world, please treat them all kindly!

Current top Oc’s that come to mind are Haruko Mason-Nakajima, along with their nameless sister/pup! They are the sweetest babies ever and love them so much. Too good and pure, especially nameless pup with her love for tigers; she wants to grow up and be like her sibling and papa 🥺🥰  You can see the post on them here!

i like the conversation when sheila stays behind with susannah while the latter gets changed into the uniform skirt or whichever costume piece lol and susannah is clearly like trying to Fit In as she would with the girls as a whole group re: just sheila but that's not really what sheila herself is about so it's not going anywhere at first. it was very funny when judith just smacks susannah's lunch tray straight down onto the floor rip. and of course i love kitty Addressing susannah leading into masochist

8) Favorite costume(s)?

hmm not great at noticing these details (especially the first time around and in non-hq footage lol) but i Did notice (and appreciate) how all the characters were costumed quite differently in a very Personal Style sort of way, v helpful to characterize them each and help distinguish them earlier on. i did like susannah's costumes a lot with the yellow / purple and patterns and vests and carefully styled hair and her post-timeskip look was fantastic as well

12) Favorite background moment(s)?

again i was pretty focused on the foreground stuff really lol and i don't really remember anything where i was noticing something happening only in the background. but a more Literal background moment, i too really enjoyed the silhouettes of the girls striking poses being projected onto the bg behind susannah at the beginning of the show, very effective and Dramatic

16) Underrated moment(s) in the show? 

i don't think i have a real answer re: what's Underrated mostly b/c i've already seen so much good analysis & appreciation from people about pretty much everything........so a vaguely tangential answer is about wishing it was just a Little more evident that Kitty And Dorothy Have Their Own Thing Going On, which like, yeah maybe it's easier to tell in person watching the show, but......and i Do like that kitty's connection to susannah is so clearly more general than their Relationships (or potential ones / wanting one) b/c of course susannah's dilemma around goes beyond Just the particular forbidden romance with this particular person

i also found judith's character like, nonzero engaging, which is just like i hadn't heard much about her  prior i don't think. not as though she's at all Likeable in the sense of like if you were in the show you would not like this character who is both a bully and a narc but it's still like, good for her eventually realizing the error of her ways even if it'd've been good to realize it Before miss asp made it clear she was only ever intending to use judith, and like, maybe if your snitching on a girl had indirectly led to her death you'd stop narcing on everyone instead of just setting up the same situation again. but at least she comes around and threatens francis and even her awfulness can be funnier than the awfulness of other characters who are being awful

20) Headcanon(s) for what happens before the show?

oof that's tricky since so much stuff in the show is unveiling ppl's Backstory / what's happened prior.....idk i was gonna say i wonder how kitty got makeup kits into nation but maybe they're allowed / it's allowed for her b/c her parents are paying so much. not very exciting

did have to confirm which one The Other One is but i guess that one lmfao i just have a great time with sheila going off on those verses and it's fun how it's this playful song about them bonding over being rejected.....the "and i guess i don't know how to feel about it" delivery is v funny. much respect and appreciation for Oh Well though of course

i'm not sure there Was much that i noticed that i hadn't heard about prior......tbh i think there were just a few Plot Points i hadn't already heard discussed but they weren't exactly Fun ones so i was like hm yeah i can see why ppl wouldn't necessarily specifically address this for kicks

i agree w/ p much everyone, gotta love the increased availability of a cast recording.....will be around for more than a few weeks, will cost less to obtain the experience, and around here Who Knows what cast recordings will spark. love how plausible it is that lihn Will get a cast recording, here's hoping

The ARIENETTE SHOW continued on–  as Mother knew it would. Chain store baby clothes advertisements, local magazines, a couple spots as a teensy sweetheart in commercials, many crowns ( & cash prizes ) from tiny tot beauty pageants– and Mother decided; nobody would stand in their way.

Especially not Arienette’s father, who dared to protest with all his crazy ideas of children being allowed to play in the dirt and act like children: only took divorce papers and three hours in the car to get rid of that negativity. 

The credit companies- who INVESTED in dear Ari whether they wanted to or not- wouldn’t be able to dissuade them either: despite the many times they’d called or sent strongly-worded letters... 

Her darling Arienette ARI! was going to be a STAR,  she just KNEW IT, just a DARLING STAR !

Thus came her second calling, her re-birth, name chosen by Mother as carefully as every other bit of her was: ARI! STARLING! and watch her Icarus her way right to burnout!

OH, THE TRAGEDY–  but the years passed, as they do, and when you’ve grown from a darling blonde baby to just another pretty-enough girl in the midst of talented starlets and performers: all the fun goes from being a DREAM to a method of survival !!

But oh, she tried, and some would argue– at least for the few years that would be remembered as fifteen minutes– ARIENETTE MADE IT! Was even notable for a couple of those months- especially after she was just shy of a Scream Queen title in some low-budget cult horror flick, she got to have her name printed in the paper, Mother kept extra copies, and a couple big name ARTISTS actually ASKED for her! As could, and should, have been expected; those highlights turned dim after the time was up and another pretty girl fell into media favor. Once left in the wake of her own shadow, without the persistent approval of Mother or the calls from well known producers: she struggled.

Thus: when the days of being unable to will herself out of bed took over, the times when she couldn’t even pretend to smile, her SECOND ACT HAD COME AT LAST…

Until that 11′o’clock cue came as a fellow actress who suggested that Therapist.  A DOC WHO UNDERSTOOD! IT’S HARD BEING A MOTH SUSTAINED BY SPOTLIGHT!

Thankfully: at 22, mother’s had to loosen her reigns! EVEN IF SHE STILL RIDES ON ARI’S COATTAILS AS A CAREER CHOICE! but her influence remains an omnipresence. Her social circle has expanded, through minor gigs covered in fake blood or sitting in the background as an extra, through miscellaneous commercial jobs and mostly modeling: COME TO FIND OUT, Ari’s pretty cute when she sits on a car while those fellows with more hair than metal traipse about strumming their guitars. Those wide-eyes also make her a devastating addition to those creepy-crawly movies: she’s become a cult film favorite just for being so awkwardly her and so darlingly easy to slaughter: a good lamb for those weird wolves, you know. Sometimes, someone will pay her a pretty penny for promotional gigs: she just has to bother strangers and convince them to do or buy something, easy enough– she’s even made it in some album art before, mostly just an additional face within the crowd. Once, they even let her play the piano, probably her very favorite shoot even though you can hardly see her…

The plentiful small gigs keeps her bill cheap, even lets her venture into the realm of what might vaguely be able to be considered Passion Projects… her very favorite are her stints playing piano, and any chance she can have on stage in theater: but Mother says that’s a waste...

You began this story simply as “that boy” “from the countryside”. During the summer break, you made up the excuse that you were going to “study for” “summer classes” “in India” so you could go into the big city with the “girl” you “liked”, Hiyori Asahina.

Name: Amamiya Hibiya: After being told that she wants to go to summer school to prepare for the middle school entrance exams, he is half-forced into staying for a summer in the city by Hiyori, who he has (unrequited) feelings for. They visit Hiyori's sister Ayaka's home, but because Hiyori falls for a boy they meet there, Konoha, he's hit by intense feelings of jealousy. In the middle of it he gets involved in a traffic accident while shopping with Hiyori and comes into contact with the Kagerou Daze. He is possessed by the snake of the "Eye Focusing" abilities, and acquires the power to perceive objects and details that are far away from an aerial (bird's eye) view. Name: Asahina Hiyori Ayaka's younger sister, and a little girl who admires the big city. She's incredibly active and also stubborn, and was the person who dragged Hibiya to the city with her. She's popular among her classmates, but not interested in such things, and even Hibiya is only considered a "convenient classmate who listens to what she says." She is dragged into the Kagerou Daze with Hibiya, but her whereabout since are unknown.

You also had one other major goal: “BUY” “A” “PHONE” You claim to “yourself” it’s because you want to “exchange messages” with Hiyori Asahina, the girl you “love”.

A: How did you come up with the title to [TMWCIFTC]? -- It started, as many things do, as a bad pun. The novel The Spy who Came In from the Cold was a cold-war spy thriller, about a British spy who goes over to East Germany as an apparent defect, except he’s actually there to spread misinformation and fuck shit up. He falls in love, becomes disillusioned with his superiors, and is shot dead over the corpse of his lover after climbing over to the east side of the wall. Needless to say, this is nowhere close to what happens in TMWCIFTC. I chose it early on because of the literal meaning: there’s a moth(man), he’s coming in from the cold WV weather, boom shaka laka, we have a title. Over time, though, it’s evolved into another meaning. Indrid himself is coming in from an isolated, lonely existence: he’s rejoining the family that cut ties with him, he’s in love, he’s warm and safe. The moth sure did come in from the cold, and hopefully he stays that way.

E: If you wrote a sequel to [TMWCIFTC], what would it be about? -- Hm. Considering my entire TAZ fic career is a tangled hairball of sequels and prequels, I kind of have this base covered. At the moment, TCOS - aka The Children of Sylvain, the sequel to TMWCIFTC - is about three things: a Pine Guard road trip race against time and the feds, the Spanish Sylvan Inquisition That Nobody Expected (least of all Jake and Hollis, who have to set aside their differences and past conflicts to save Kepler - and who knows, maybe they’ll fall in love along the way), and Alexandra the Interpreter getting woke to Sylvan politics and doing what she can from the inside to change them. In other words, it’s going to be a massive sequel that is the finale of the Amnesty alternate universe I’ve created. It’s this series’ Endgame. (That reminds me, I need an actual title for this collection of stories I’m writing. The “Tin Cinematic Universe” doesn’t quite have the ring to it that I’d like.)

G: Do you write your story from start to finish, or do you write the scenes out of order? -- eh, it kind of depends. It’s like a buffering bar on Youtube videos. I outline what I can until I run out of ideas, then start writing, then add outlines to the end, until the outline is complete and I just have to keep writing.

I: Do you have a guilty pleasure in fic (reading or writing)? -- I don’t have one for reading, but for writing, I fucking love structuring chapters around songs. Classical or otherwise, I love music. All my stories play in my head like a movie screen, and I just do my best to describe what I’m seeing in my head with an accompanying score. It’s not so much a guilty pleasure as it is a writing process. Frankly, I don’t think I actually have a guilty pleasure; the act of writing itself is all the happiness I need.

J: Write or describe an alternative ending to [insert fic]. -- An alternate ending for The Devil Went Down To Georgia would be... interesting. It ended with Boyd-as-Jersey-Devil scaring the pants off some poor broke college kid, who stole his worthless fiddle; then he changed back, and he and Ned went on their merry way to go break into Aubrey’s house and send everything down the drain. If there was one thing that I could change in there, it would be how fast Ned ran. If he ran a little faster, he would have seen the alley; he would have witnessed Boyd turning into the Jersey Devil, or at least turning back into himself; and he’d get a very rude awakening as to what Sylvans are and that his partner (in crime, and everything that mattered) was a fucking cryptid. God, that’d be a fun AU to write. Who knows, I might go do that someday.

K: What’s the angstiest idea you’ve ever come up with? -- At the moment, the only angsty idea that I’m actually conceptualizing is a Hollis/Jake angsty breakup for TSG. (Spoilers, I guess.) I once wrote a very grimdark ending to TMWCIFTC where everyone fell through the ice and drowned. It wasn’t fun. I’ve also mentally killed off each Amnesty protagonist and NPC in various ways, but I never felt comfortable writing them down. I only write angst with a happy ending because those are the kinds of stories I need to hear.

L: How many times do you usually revise your fic/chapter before posting? -- 9 times out of 10, I just throw it into the void. I write as much as I can in big chunks, and then kind of hope for the best. TMWCIFTC, for example, is a completely unedited, unbetaed vomit draft. I usually do a quick reread of my oneshots to catch grammar and spelling errors, but other than that I just trust myself that it’s fine.

N: Is there a fic you wish someone else would write (or finish) for you? -- Can I get some kind of resolution for To the Edge of Night? Can I please get some kind of resolution for To the Edge of Night??? I was 14 chapters into that bastard before I a) became a more casual MCU fan and b) discovered TAZ. It was such a niche fic with such a niche structure - LOTR as galactic Asgardian propaganda to cover up Odin’s mistakes - that at some point I lost interest in it. I just saw Endgame though, so now I might get some inspiration for stuff to bastardize.

O: How do you begin a story–with the plot, or the characters? -- Characters. When coming up with character backstories, I can usually find ways to slot their lives together that necessitate a plot. I love character-driven stories, where their actions actually do shit and their words actually mean something, in favor of getting dragged along behind the plot like tin cans behind a car.

P: Are you what George R. R. Martin would call an “architect” or a “gardener”? (How much do you plan in advance, versus letting the story unfold as you go?) -- I’m definitely an architect, but in a really messy way. My friends can attest that I do an insane amount of planning for each story - often in their DMs, sorry about that, Fae, Cro, Indy and Aline 😬 - and all that usually ends up in a stream-of-consciousness rant outline on Google Drive. Knowing where the story is going helps me a lot, but the planning I do is definitely just building flower beds in which to sow seeds. Or building a greenhouse. I plan the bare bones of a story, and things get really wild within it, but it does follow a logical plot structure.

Q: How do you feel about collaborations? -- I have a lot of respect for the people who can successfully pull it off, but idk if i’d ever want to do one myself. I get really possessive of my stories and ideas and like to be the one in charge of their execution. That being said, some collabs have produced amazing stories. I don’t mind reading collab fics, but actually being in a collab grates on me more than it should.

R: Are there any writers (fanfic or otherwise) you consider an influence? -- I’m definitely influenced heavily by Neil Gaiman. I read American Gods and Good Omens a lot while I was trying to write TMWCIFTC; not only was it a good brain break, but I was able to pick up a lot of tips on scene pacing, concise yet expressive language, and character interactions. My creative wriitng professors have always told us to read so we know what to steal - not in terms of content, but in execution. 

On the fanfic side, @miamaroo is a huge inspiration for me. I’ve been reading Northern Migration a lot recently, and I love how its canon divergence is so worldshaking and so complex, but is still familiar in nostalgic yet terrifying ways. I read it back in October, went, “Huh, I wanna do something that wild. And if miamaroo can do it then I sure as fuck can too,” and I started planning TMWCIFTC during that one month dead zone the McElroys took last year. Northern Migration is one of the best, most coherent, most stunning, and most incredibly written TAZ Balance AUs I’ve ever read, and if I hadn’t read it, I wouldn’t have been inspired to take the fuckall huge plunge into TMWCIFTC.

S: Any fandom tropes you can’t resist? -- Bed sharing and cuddling, hand kissing, wrist kissing, whump, sympathetic villains. Canon divergent AUs are my absolute favorite things to both read and write. Anything that would turn me into Charlie Kelly slamming his finger on a bulletin board screaming, “CAROL,” is a fic I would give my life for. 

T: Any fandom tropes you can’t stand? -- Not a fan of a) woobification and b) flat villain characterization, to the point where the story is riding on villain tropes instead of an actual person or plot. Character nuance is always something I look for when I read. I don’t usually get bitter about tropes, though; some stuff, when subverted, works really well. I fully subscribe to don’t like, don’t read, don’t write, which is why I don’t write anything that warrants AO3 content warning tags or an Explicit rating, in favor of focusing on plot. Every author has a reason for what they write and how - be it their level of experience, personal preference, or simply the joy of writing something and getting it out there - and I respect that. Within reason, of course.

U: Share three of your favorite fic writers and why you like them so much. -- 

@miamaroo, for reasons I’ve already discussed. My favorite TAZ Balance author hands down. Read Northern Migration and give it the love it deserves, or I’m replacing all the faucets in your house with silly straws.

@transagentstern. Fae has a bunch of absolutely incredible fics and an amazing grasp on characterization. We come from the same place with AUs, in that canon is but the bare planks on which we put the drywall of our plot an characterization. They structure AUs and character backstories from the ground up in believable and emotionally raw ways. Also they have great music taste. I especially like their interpretation of Indrid in Moth to the Flame; he, like all the other characters in the story, is far from perfect, and his character arc is explored in relatable ways that I love to read. 

@keplersheetz. Aline - theneonpineapple on AO3 - researches like a motherfucker and has a wealth of knowledge/experience/viewpoints to draw on, making author-author interactions with her an absolute delight. She’s also doing the lord’s work with rarepairs. Spin a wheel, find a ship, and she’s probably written for it or at least conceptualized it. Reading her character studies and stories of the old Pine Guard - aka Mama’s original crew, before the current PCs joined - is always a delight. I’ve also hashed out a lot of details for The Children of Sylvain, especially for Mr. Boyd Mosche, guilt-wracked Jersey Devil extraordinaire, with her help. 

V: If you could write the sequel (or prequel) to any fic out there not written by yourself, which would you choose? -- Not gonna lie, I’m fine with a lot of stuff that’s out there right now. It’s been a hot few months since I’ve actually stopped to read fic, but from what I recall, most of the fics I’ve read have done a good job of keeping things intact.

W: Do you like more general prompts, or more specific ones? -- The vaguer, the better. With really specific prompts, it usually feels as if the story’s been written for me already; with vague, general prompts, I have more agency to explore my own ideas. Some accompanying detail is usually nice, though. For example, the coffee shop/college/flower shop AUs that @transagentstern​ wrote are my ideal prompt for drabbles: premise, a little bit of open-ended detail, clear explanation of what’s going to happen while leaving the rest up to the imagination. Good stuff. If it’s for a long-form piece, though, I prefer full agency, or even just some time to lie facedown in the dirt and wait for an idea to strike me.

X: A character you enjoy making suffer. -- Yes.

Z: Major character death–do you ever write/read it? Is there a character whose death you can’t tolerate? -- I do read lots of major character death, yeah, though not always for TAZ. There’s something cathartic about seeing a character die, but sometimes it sits wrong with me in ways that I don’t like. As for writing, I’d rather kill a character for a reason rather than for shock value/for the Feels, though said Feels can accompany the reason.

What an interesting reaction. Despite the weird back and forth she’s been having with Monokuma, he still had the Monokubs jump in to defend her - though with that said, the desperation of it all probably backfired in Shuichi’s eyes. The point is, her first reaction wasn’t to protest - I mean, she will, and she did a bit weakly earlier, but it’s to withdraw into herself and think. Isn’t that how we first came across her? Thinking deeply to herself and completely ignoring Kaede and Shuichi to the best of her abilities?

Also, after pushing behind the scenes for him to condemn three of the most well-meaning people in the class (and, y’know, Kirumi and Korekiyo lol), it’s interesting that she seems to think that this line of defense will work - especially considering what he’s accusing her of doing. You’ve managed to do something way beyond just murder, Tsumugi! Aside from Rantaro, you set the groundwork for everything that followed! And I feel like this game, more than the others, really pushed the idea that the survivors share some of the blame when the ‘blackened’ dies. I don’t agree with that mind you, but survivor’s guilt is very real and very powerful.

Despite all of this, he still wants to be wrong and is happy to be wrong. Being awfully, painfully right seems to be a running trend with him, with the one glaring exception hanging over his head.

Which was so believable because even Kaede thought it was the truth! I’m so torn. I really like Kaede, and honestly? I like the fact that she was willing to go after the mastermind so aggressively. Tsumugi did twist the truth, sure, and we convicted the wrong person - but I don’t want to lose the fact that Kaede only didn’t kill Rantaro because her calculations were slightly off and Tsumugi cleaned up after her. I keep going back to it, but that line of Kokichi’s, telling Kaede she lost the moment she let murder into her heart, does still ring true to me...

At first I thought, ‘oh, that’s a bit of a tangent though’ then I remembered Kokichi was the one who gave us the tools to get all the evidence to prove that so it actually does make sense to bring it back up now!

Sometimes a title doesn’t matter compared to the content of the post.

S O much has happened in my life since my last post. Inbetween my normal blog posts will be life updates, similar to a journal. I try not to censor or edit too much of these blog posts, but the perfectionist in me forces me to correct every error i see and to not release it until it’s perfect. If I did that you would never see these posts.

I F I skip ahead to what happened yesterday then backtrack we can possibly end on a good note. I don’t know how to say it, but my good friend from the woman’s shelter, Shanna lost her daughter yesterday in a fire. We take turns in the house cleaning the lint tray and unfortunately it wasn’t cleaned before her daughter decided to do the laundry. The household was busy and didn’t notice until it was too late. She is a single mom and now it is just her. I couldn’t imagine losing Lily in such a traumatic way. I wish I could take away the pain for Shanna, but I cannot and it may take a while for her to heal.

I tucked Shanna into bed that afternoon and offered to stay with her, but all she wanted was to grab one of her daughter’s shirts and sleep the day away. Shanna is always selfless and tells me to take care of myself and she will watch Brynn once again. Yesterday was no different. She told me to spend time with Brock who just moved across the way from Cali and Jax. I didn’t want to leave, but also didn’t want to smother her. I smiled and hugged her tightly then walked across the street.

B R O C K used to live in Brindleton. Why does everyone come from there? I just can’t get away from it. He is a surfer boy turned photographer. We meet often to play video games and he has taught me a ton about how to take pictures. He has been to places like Selvadorado and has a freelance job for National Simagraphic. His apartment is filled with beautiful images on the walls of all the places he has photographed. He is the friend I could’ve used growing up. Funny and chilled out. We had a great time hanging out at his place, but towards the end I got a text. Cali wanted to meet up and talk.

I met Cali at the Windenburg Park. She was quiet and unsure of how to talk to me which is weird because we always have such deep conversations. Once she got the courage to talk, she told me she was pregnant. I was shocked. She is a few years younger than me and lives alone with her brother in the spice district apartments. She has more than I had at her age but still, she must feel so alone. When she told me who the father was I just about passed out.

W H E N I was with Cayden in Brindleton, we went to a ball at San Myshuno’s Octagon Room. I met a handful of his very wealthy friends and we talked throughout the night. One of them was named Micah. I also met his wife. Cali wouldn’t go into detail over how things escalated to this place so I just tried my best to cheer her up. What a coincidence that I knew the guy. I did not tell Cali though because this moment was about her, not me. I can’t help but wonder why things keep connecting even though I moved far away from Brindleton. It frustrates me.

T H E last thing that happened last night was the comedy gig. Not many people showed up and I know I am good at what I do, but people just don’t know where to find me. I spoke with Pierce when I first got there and he offered to help me go around to the different clubs and get myself out there. I told him he did enough for me, but he insisted he found my talent and deserved to be my manager. I laughed and playfully shoved him as he looked at me with that grin. I shook off that feeling and told my heart to stop pounding. This isn’t turning into anything special. We are friends and I really need friends right now. Between him and Brock, I have that friendship. They are two of the best friends I’ve ever had, besides the Brindleton crew. Sometimes I wish we could all meet up and blend our friendships together. I think about how Kaye would tease me about Pierce and how Brett and Brock would be really great friends. Daydreaming about these things isn’t any good for me so I stop myself.

W H E N I was done doing my nightly comedy routine and having a drink while chatting with Pierce, Shanna called me to let me know Lily had a bad fever. I was standing at the bar at that point and Pierce saw the look on my face. He asked me what was wrong and I blurted out that my daughter was sick. He didn’t know about Lily so it was a surprise to him. I don’t know why I didn’t tell him. I told Brock, Cali and Jax but not him. I dropped my phone onto the bar and my hands started shaking. Lily never got sick when we lived in Brindleton. Pierce offered to accompany me home because he didn’t want me going out in the dark alone. I don’t know if it was the drink or my loneliness but I agreed and he had one of his coworkers close up while we walked down to the house. He was surprised to learn I lived just down the road from him.

A F T E R we stepped outside he comforted me and asked about Lily. I think he was suspicious about why I never told him I had a child. I obviously didn’t know why so i just apologized and said I was cautious of new introductions to people because of our past. He threw his jacket over my shoulders and wrapped his arm around me. It was jarring and made me flinch. We hugged before but it was just a pleasant, friendly type of hug. This seemed more...intimate.

W H E N we got inside, the house was quiet. I walked towards the bedrooms and Pierce followed behind me. When I got inside my room, Kelley was reading a story to Lily in her tiny bed. Those two bonded quickly right from the start. Kelley is going to have her baby at any moment and she offered all the time to take care of Lily and get some practice in. Kelley stood and excused herself when she saw Pierce was there with me.

A S soon as Lily saw I was there she jumped out of her bed and hugged my legs. I kneeled down and hugged her tightly, asking her what was wrong. She said she used her diaper and needed it changed so I laid her down and changed it. After I did, she hopped up and started chatting with Pierce. I watched them intently to see if she would be shy and if he would be receptive to this little person her only found out existed minutes earlier. She asked him for a story and he didn’t miss a beat. She hopped up in and told him which book she wanted to hear. I sat on my bed and listened alongside as he told the story, very good to be honest. When he was done she was fast asleep and I kissed her on the forehead, feeling for a fever then adjusting her blanket. Her fever was gone and I sighed in relief. I then offered to walk Pierce out and I grabbed one of my chunky, long sweaters. I knew I had to tell him my story if I ever wanted to change. I asked him if he wanted to chat for a little bit and we sat on the back stoop looking over the river.

F I R S T I asked him how he was so good with kids and he said his brother had a few and he visited them often. I then gained the courage to tell him my story. I left out names and minor details and kept it short. How I lived in a group home and moved to the Bay. How I fell in love and made new friends then it got ripped out from under me. He asked me questions and I answered. It was the first time we connected on this completely different level than with my other new friends. He really understood where I was coming from. I left out the whole dead wife coming back from the grave because I would’ve sounded crazy or emotionally unstable but he got the gist of the story.

W H E N I was done telling him everything, he hugged me and held me in his arms for a while, until our butts were frozen to the steps. He told me I should never be ashamed of where I came from or where I am living right now. He said he would help me with my career and be there for me as much as I needed. It gave me comfort to know I had a fourth person in my life that had my back.

A L L my friends knew. What a relief. Shanna, Cali, Jax, Brock and now Pierce. I have five friends who would do anything for me and it was such a relieving feeling. We parted ways and I went inside to sleep.

S O as I said at the beginning of this post, so much happened over the past few days, but we ended on a good note. I don’t have an inspirational quote for you so I’ll just post some pictures Brock took. He is like my personal paparazzi or something.

feel the sun whenever you're near - Fluff ABC

@thehonorarybeaumont​ asked me to fill this out for one of my Enchanting ships, so I picked Elias and Edward. (Quick version for anyone who hasn’t read the series; Elias is Liam and MC’s youngest son, and Edward is Madeleine’s son, they fall in love during Elias’ older sister Lyra’s social season. Other people referenced in this ABC are the gang’s kids)

A – Anger (What was their first fight about? Any big or recurring arguments?)

 Their first fight was about Edward’s mother Madeleine. Because of his super close relationship with his mother Alicia, Eli gets upset about the relationship between Edward and Madeleine. Edward assures him that she loves him unconditionally, but Elias notes the few comments she makes when the two of them are officially together, most of them aimed at the fact that if her son was going to be with man at least it was the prince, which pissed Elias off for a number of reasons; partly because she was just seeing him as a title and not as the guy that her son wanted to be with, and for suggesting that Edward was some sort of crown chaser. Edward and Eli fought about this one night when Elias brought it up to him and Edward defended her.

They talked it out and made up, and Edward ended up having a conversation with her about it. She apologised for what she said, and started spending more time with Elias to get to know him properly as her son’s boyfriend. They don’t fight about much else, only little tiffs; how long Eli takes to get ready to go anywhere, Edward’s shyness when it comes to PDA, etc, but very very few big arguments.

B – Best (What would they say is the other’s best trait?)

Elias loves how sincere Edward is. You know exactly where you stand with him and Elias finds that so refreshing after growing up in court where everyone had an angle they were playing. Edward can put it on for the right people, but Elias always knows that he is being completely real with him; even when he is impossibly polite and charming (which never fails to make him swoon). Edward loves how outgoing Elias is. Edward lived a rather sheltered life, never taking risks because of his mother’s worries over public image, but he loves seeing Elias living his life to the fullest and being unashamedly happy about his life choices.

C – Camera (How do they document their relationships? Who likes to take pictures? Or videos?)

Elias takes pictures and videos of everything, even just the mundane stuff. Edward isn’t as camera-happy as Eli, but he does have plenty of pictures saved on his phone of Eli (mostly taken by Eli stealing Edward’s phone and taking stupid selfies)

D – Dates (What are their dates like?)

Typical dates are just them trying to spend as much time together as possible when they aren’t being kept busy as the Prince of Cordonia and the future Count of Fydelia, and they do keep them quite lowkey; going to dinner, going to the movies, just hanging out together, but sometimes one of them takes the initiative and plans a really romantic night to treat the other. Elias has gotten them private access to lots of botanical gardens before, and Edward has surprised Eli with theatre tickets or a spa date. Whatever they do, they just love being together.

E – Early (What was the first month of dating like?)

The first month of seeing each other was in secret (the worst kept secret ever) during the social season, but they went on their first official date a few months after the season was over. Though they had been seeing each other for a while, they were both still nervous; would the other still want to be with them when the exciting sneaking around aspect was gone? Would Edward bottle it now that he was being open about his sexuality? As it was, the first date was awkward for the first half an hour as they tried to get through dinner at a very seafood fancy restaurant until Eli suggested they leave and go for a walk down to the harbour. They walked hand in hand along the docks, grabbing dessert from a food vendor and Eli pulling Edward into dancing to a guy playing music in the street. It’s a night they both remember for how much the other one smiled, not the first part where they struggled to make small talk. After that, they become so much more comfortable in their relationship.

F – Friends (How is their relationship with each other’s group of friends?)

Eli’s friends are… a lot for Edward. He gets on well with all of them, having known most of them as part of court, but enjoys being adopted into the friendship circle properly during the social season. He gets on best with Gareth, Drake and Alodie, but makes a special effort to get to know Percy because he’s Eli’s best friend. Edward thinks he’s very odd, but they soon become friends, and they enjoy meditating together. Edward doesn’t have a lot in the way of friends of his own. Eli meets some of his ‘friendship group’ back in England when they go over to visit Edward’s father one summer. They’re all typical English nobles; went to Oxford and Cambridge, very into rowing and parliament. Eli feels very out of depth with them all, despite being a prince, none of his usual charming techniques working. Luckily they don’t see them very often, and if they go to England together, Edward spends less and less time with them after coming to terms with the fact that they weren’t really his friends to begin with.

G – Gifts (Do they like giving each other gifts? What kind?)

As with their dates, they enjoy the little lowkey things; the little ‘this made me think of your’ gifts, like trinkets from their travels away from each other. Elias always manages to get that one brand of tea Edward loves, and Edward grows plants he thinks Elias will like to put around the palace. But being two very rich guys, they do enjoy spoiling each other. One time, Edward bought them surprise tickets to go see Lady Gaga. Eli cried.

H – Hugs (All things involving hugs)

Elias is very physically affectionate and is constantly reaching to touch his boyfriend. He always greets him with a hug and a kiss, and as soon as they’re close to each other he naturally just puts an arm around him. Edward is not physically affectionate and wasn’t used to the amount of contact Elias was dishing out, but he started reciprocating it and loves holding him, especially when they’re in bed together; just wrapping him up in his arms and kissing his hair.

I – Inside Jokes (Do they have any?)

A few, mostly just jokes about little moments they’ve shared; used to make the other laugh at inappropriate times… or remind them of intimate moments at even more inappropriate times. (Elias is a little shit for doing this)

J – Jealousy (Who gets jealous easier? How do they show their jealousy?)

Elias pretends he’s the most jealous, but most people know to stay the hell away from the prince’s boyfriend so he doesn’t need to get jealous very often. If he does; it’s normally a little comment and a smirk, and it doesn’t go much further. Edward, on the other hand, gets very jealous. He pretends he doesn’t, but Elias is still a prince and people still flirt with him; even when they’ve been together for a long time, and the minute he sees anyone pulling the moves on his man he’s across the room, a hand on Elias’ arm, glaring down whoever was flirting with him, drawn up to his full height and channelling the most ‘serious British businessman’ aura he can until they leave. If this doesn’t work he will just pull Elias into a very intimate kiss to make his point clear. It’s the only time he doesn’t get at all nervous about PDA. Elias just gets the most shit eating grin and drags him back to their room/any empty corridor.

K – Kiss (How do they kiss? Who usually initiates?)

In the beginning, Edward initiates most of the kisses. Eli knows Edward’s never really been with a guy before and doesn’t want to put the pressure on (even though he thinks about kissing him 24/7), so he lets Edward take the lead, but as they become more comfortable and public with their relationship; Eli barely keeps his hands off him. Because of the height difference, Eli pretty much has to reach up on his tiptoes to kiss him. They both secretly love the height difference.

L – Love (How do they first say those three words?)

Elias gets very drunk at his father’s funeral, disappearing into the palace gardens so that no one sees him in that state. Edward eventually finds him and they sit in the grass together by the wishing well, and he just holds Elias as he cries. Eli begins drunkenly babbling about how there were so many things that he wished he had said to his dad, and tells Edward that he loves him; that he knows it’s soon, that he knows it’s probably stupid, but he doesn’t want to regret not saying it whilst he still can. He then passes out before Edward can respond. They never talk about it until they’re in Paris on Lyra’s engagement tour, and they go for a walk around the city at night and Edward tells Elias that he loves him. Eli kisses him and tells me that he loves him too.

M – Movies (What kinds of movies do they watch together? Is it a regular Netflix ritual?)

Edward has never been into movies much, but he starts watching them more with Eli and finds himself watching more musicals than he ever knew existed. If Edward picks, he likes a good documentary, which Eli eventually gets into whereas he usually just flops on the couch next to him on his phone.

N – Nicknames (Things they call each other)

Edward calls Eli ‘my prince’ or ‘your highness’, which Eli loves hearing from him because of how he says it. Eli calls him every pet name under the sun; love, dearest, light of my life, absolute centre of my universe, and then other times just refers to him as ‘dude’, which Edward hates.

O – One (Tell us about the moment they realized they were with the one.)

For Elias, it was during a party he was throwing at Valtoria as part of the royal engagement tour. Edward came along and threw himself head first into the night, getting involved with all of the activities that Elias had set up, until eventually it became too much and he had to excuse himself outside. Eli followed him out to make sure he was okay, and Edward apologised that he wasn’t good at this kind of thing. He loved spending time with Eli, but going hard at these parties wasn’t him, but he wanted to try; to make Eli happy. Elias just stared at him for a moment, taking to heart just how out of his comfort zone Edward was; all in an attempt to make him happy. Eli just kissed him and held him, and told him that he wanted to be with him no matter what; even if he never came to his wild parties or drank or any of it. Though Edward did see out the night, and the two of them had the best time on a Dance Dance Revolution machine Eli had installed for the party.

P – Pizza (What is their favorite food to eat together?)

Ice cream. It’s not something Edward had a lot of as a kid, so Elias loves taking him on ice cream dates, or just getting some if they’re out together (or if they’re in together and feel like sneaking down to the kitchens). He loves making him customised sundaes with flavours and toppings he thinks he’ll like

Q – Quit (Do they break up? Almost break up? What happened?)

There are points early on when they both doubt if they’ll see the relationship through, with having to hide it for so long during the season, and the whole thing being prolonged due to spoilers. But they make it through it, and come out the other side stronger, and wanting to really see where the relationship goes.

R – Rainy Days (How do they comfort each other on dark days?)

Elias has some very dark days quite early in the relationship. Liam is terminally ill, and though he put on a brave face; he struggled a lot with that, even more so when he died. He wanted to simply be able to mourn his dad, but he threw a lot of his efforts into planning Lyra’s coronation, but it became obsessive almost, and Drake called Edward; hoping that he’d be able to get through to Elias. Edward drove himself to Valtoria that night and found Eli working in his room, desperately going over plans for the coronation. They got into a fight; Elias telling him that he didn’t need any help, that he needed to get everything perfect, Edward telling him that he’d be no use to anyone if he ran himself into the ground going it. Elias broke down crying that if he couldn’t even plan a coronation to help Lyra, what use was he? He wanted to take care of his family like Liam would have done if he were there. Edward talked him through it, and just held him for the rest of the night.

S – Soft (Something one of them did that turned the other into absolute mush)

During the season, there’s a night at the beach when Edward fessed up some of his feelings to Elias, about how much of an inspiration he was; being publicly gay and being ‘unashamedly himself’ and how lucky he felt to be with him. Elias went to absolute mush when he said that, and still does when he thinks of that memory.

T – Texting (Do they text each other a lot? What do they usually talk about over the phone?)

They do text a lot. Elias is constantly on his phone anyway, so texting Edward is like a second nature. Edward never used to text a lot but gets used to texting Eli and really enjoys it. He never fully grasps emojis. They’ll talk about anything and everything, usually some court gossip Eli’s discovered and can’t keep to himself, or just catching up about their day. If they’re apart, they call each other every night before bed, and have fallen asleep on the phone together before.

U – Unique (Tell us about some of their odd habits that surprised one another.)

Edward never understood fully how long Elias takes to get ready to go anywhere until they moved in together. He knew he took time, but he never grasped the process of skincare, hair, wardrobe selection, cologne selection. Edward is very well put together, but without fail every day he is ready first.

V – Vanity (Something they’re proud of in themselves and their partner)

Though it takes him time to adjust, Edward actually likes being public with Elias and how easily the two of them click together. He loves the seeming ease with which Elias does everything. He knows some of it is an act, but he’d proud of him nonetheless.

W – Wedding (Tell us about your wedding head canon if they’ve gotten that far. Or if not, have they talked about it?)

Hold onto your seats, kids, I’ve got a lot of feelings about their wedding. Edward proposed to Elias and he went fully out of his comfort zone to make it special for him. He knew early on in their relationship how much Eli loves Beyonce, and after learning a story from Bartie about how as kids Leona, Lyra, Nat, Percy and Elias all learned the dance routine to Love On Top by Beyonce, complete with home video evidence to back it up, he knew what he was going to do. So Edward got the group back together, plus Drake (who refused to be involved first time around but gave in this time to support his brother’s engagement), and they all learned the routine; performing it at the next Beaumont Bash and ending with Edward getting down on one knee to propose. Elias said yes immediately. Elias decided to return the favour on the night of their bachelor parties. Though they’d had various celebrations with their friends, they agreed they’d have separate bachelor parties so that Elias could fully let loose and Edward could have his more civilised scotch and cigars. But during the night, Liz took Edward into a separate room and sat him in a leather armchair, insisting she had a surprise for him. He protested at first, knowing that his sister had wanted to organise a more ‘traditional’ bachelor party with shots and strippers, reminding her that he and Eli had agreed to no strippers. She had just laughed and left him alone; and he was surprised instead when the lights dimmed, music started playing and Elias appeared through a side door and put on a strip/dance show of his own for his fiancé. Elias asked his brother Drake to be his best man. He’d always planned to ask Liam, but with him being gone; he asked Drake. Drake had been shocked, expecting him to ask Percy (being his best friend), but Eli told him he wanted the best man he knew to be up there beside him on his wedding day. Drake’s only panic came when he had to plan the bachelor party, and Eli was convinced he asked Percy for help, but Percy revealed at the end of the night that Drake planned everything; reminding Eli that his brother did know him very well. Edward asked Liz to be his best ‘wo’man. He considered asking his father, but he’s closer to his sister than anyone. It was a beautiful day, the ceremony held at the same cathedral Liam and Alicia were married in, and performed by Lyra. They hold the reception in the gardens in Fydelia; all of the plants and flowers perfectly cultivated and planned by Edward for months. It’s a beautiful day, and Drake and Liz’s best man speeches are on point. Maxwell also gives a speech that makes everyone cry, telling everyone that even though Liam was his father; he’s always loved Elias like a son. They spend the night in Fydelia, then leave on their honeymoon the next day.

X – X (Something they hate about the other)

They both hate how the other can doubt themselves. Though Elias has a lot of confidence, especially in public, there are times when his self-doubt sets in; he wonders if he’s just a silly, vain boy with nothing substantial going on, and Edward struggles to see that, because if Elias; his superstar confident perfect boyfriend, can feel like that, what hope does he have? But they take comfort in the other grounding them in how amazing they really are.

Y – Youtube (What are they like online? Do they post about their relationship constantly?)

Elias loves social media. As soon as they start openly dating, his social media is just flooded with pictures of Edward or videos of him doing mundane things like brushing his teeth or reading. Edward gets into social media because of Eli, and though he very rarely posts anything, if he does; it’s a simple picture of them holding hands across a table or something similar.

Z – Zoo (Are they into animals? Do they want pets? What kind?)

Eli is really into animals, mostly dogs. Edward’s never been much into animals, but when they do eventually get to a point where they get pets together they get a dog and a cat; both rescues.

So i had one of the bestest times of my life at the BTS concert on my love’s birthday >.<  I went all out on the DIY concert goods lolol (Namjoon pickets on the upper left and the "I❤️NY" t-shirt remade into an "I ❤️ NamJoon" shirt). 

The whole experience was amazing and surreal and unforgettable but in the 0.00001% chance that I do forget, here’s what happened:

-got to the arena at 11am and spent the next 6 hours waiting in line, buying merch, waiting in line again, taking pics in the BTS Studio, waiting in line again...but all of it was hella worth bc their cutouts looked so good lol and my face would have never been seen next to any of theirs otherwise.

-concert: okay so my irl experience was a mess bc my phone was running low on battery so my mind was debating btwn taking concert videos and saving my battery for like half the concert, not to mention i got deaf two songs in so I could only hear higher tones. In other words, all the members sounded like they were on helium OTL but lemme tell ya, they still sounded good

-all the members look SOOOO FREAKIN PERFECT like i know they have their concert makeup on but HOLY SHIT THEY LOOKED F L A W L E S S. Namjoon came on the screen and I screamed loud, mostly out of shock of how beautiful he was and slightly bc he should hear how loved he is. Everyone looked too beautiful but definitely JIN and Jungkook stood out in the looks dept like how do such handsome human beings exist?? 

-SHOUTOUT TO MY MAN JAY JUNG HOSEOK. HE HAS SUCH AN INSANE AMOUNT OF STAGE PRESENCE HOLY SHIT. My eyes kept on gravitating back towards him the entire time bc he was always doing something, something that showed who owned that stage. Also, no one else could ever make a tasseled jacket look so right. Anyway, I really swerved into his lane for so long (or at least more than i usually do) thanks to this concert...and i still may or may not be in it hehe

-Tae’s VCR was so mesmerizing and then he came on stage to do Singularity...wowowow that man knows how to work the camera. That jacket/robe he was wearing had crystals that formed an intricate floral pattern that was simply divine. Fit for the prince wearing it 👌 I think I appreciate Singularity (and V) a lot more now bc of his performance. On another note, I remember him being super cute and smiley, which was good for the heart.

-They performed the Fun Boyz/Attack of Bangtan/Fire/Baepsae/Dope medley which was what I was hoping for!!! Hoseok fkin wiggled his butt in our direction to start of Fun Boyz and that was the beginning of the end :) I can’t believe I got to see all those numbers in person wow <<< I Need U and Run too bc as an HYYH stan, singing along with those songs and hearing them live was incredible

-Overall crowd favorite performances were Seesaw and Epiphany for sure~

Seesaw: MIN YOONGIIIIII!!!! i still think about his performance everyday bc it was so charming and cute and aksdfjdjlgkslh ESPECIALLY WITH THAT RED SPARKLY JACKET ACH. Maybe everything about it was so...unexpected?? or contrasting to his regular onstage persona and that’s why he blindsided me so hard OTL. But yea the part where he does a lil nod + smile = my cause of death :)

Epiphany: From even before the show started, the Epiphany MV had the loudest sing-along so you bet that when it was Jin’s turn, everybody sang along with his beautiful voice. As I said before, his visuals are out of this world (his forehead was exposed 🙏🙏). Jin totally eyef**ked the camera several times too like whyyyy are you doing this i was not okay :(

-Their ments were done all in English, save for a couple sentences from Jimin at the end. I was proud of them bc they clearly put in a lot of effort to learn so they can better connect with their international fans. I do kinda wish that they spoke a little more though (in Korean or English) but they literally flew in earlier that day and probs didnt sleep much bc of Namjoon’s bday so they probably wanted to wrap up and go to bed lol. 

-If I’m lucky enough to get the opportunity, I definitely want to try for GA for a ~closer~ experience! They already seemed really close from my 1st level seats but looking up at them from the pit would be the dream 😂��

-shoutout to my special friendo @yoon-kooks for helping out with the pickets and being with me every step of the way to living out our bangtan dreams!!! I couldn’t imagine experiencing any of this w/o you  💜💜💜

P.S. I realize I failed to mention Jimin in any of this rip. @/Jimin ur a real cutie and ty for showering namjoon with love 😘

A - Tell me something about yourself. 

I am very lazy and I never do anything except at the last possible moment. Today morning I dreamed that I had an exam due in an hour and didn’t even know which exam it was. Dream me was all “sigh that’s out of the ordinary but really I expected you to land int his situation at some point. You little shit.” 

I meant the dream was set on a Monday but I just accepted the fact that I spent an entire weekend wasting time on random bullshit because where is the lie?

B - Favorite non-Latin script?

Mandarin looks so pretty! Like little pictures!

V - Tell me one obscure fact you know, about anything.

The Moray Eel has two jaws, one of which resides within the throat.

G - To what extent are people responsible for their actions?  

It technically depends upon context; external factors, mental condition, intoxication, social structure, age and whatnot. But application is not...straightforward.

I generally start on the assumption that people are responsible for all of their actions and look at any possible victims first- justice for victims is more important than justice for perpetrators. If there are no victims or if any damage done to the victim is negligible or ineffectual, or if the victims have already been dealt with as much as possible, then you turn the compassion towards the perpetrators, and see what can be done to understand them or make their lives easier. 

D - Name one good thing that’s happened.

I got on medication and that made a hell of a lot of difference to literal years of acute anxiety and depression.

É - Name something or someone fictional you’d like to exist. 

Superpowers would me nice, so long as I could have them. Time Freeze or Super Speed are my go to options, because I never have enough hours in the day. 

Ž - Name one thing you were taught by experience. 

Compassion. I was very dismissive of people’s mental states and internal illogical traumas till I had to get through my version of it.

Ż - What do you feel passionate about?

Characters and books? Also arguments featuring insane troll logic. I have been known to have screaming arguments with people in class in full view of mildly traumatized teaching assistants. 

Z - Opinion on global warming.

If this is a roundabout way of asking me if I think it exists, I want every damned person in temperate zones to spend some time in the tropics in the summer, and then tell me if they think this is climate humans can live and work in. 

By which I guess I mean I believe it exists and that I may end up in potentially violent screaming matched with people who do not think it does.   

I - Which is harder: Math or English?

Depends on context. I suppose gravitate towards English over Math, but I can tell you that I found my Geometry and Statistics classes far more interesting and relevant than my English classes. 

Yi - Would you describe yourself as Extra™?

I strive to be as dramatic as I can get away with in every possible circumstance, so yes. 

J - Is recycling necessary?

The garbage pile in the pacific ocean is currently bigger than france+germany+spain, or twice the size of Texas. So yeah I think so.  

K - Are you into “do it yourself” crafts?

Ehhh. Not particularly. I mean, I make pin up boards and paper boxes but that’s less “craft” and more “oh shit i need a board or I’ll forget stuff” and “I have run out of containers and I don’t want to buy more.” Craft projects for crafts’ sake tend to get abandoned pretty early on because I get distracted by a new and shiny book. 

This indifference to crafts did not help me when I was doing architecture, let me tell you. 

L - Are you a people-person? 

I recently locked myself in my room (from the OUTSIDE) while a party was going on outside and sat in the darkness reading by the lights of my mobile phone so people would not find me. So no. 

M - Do you care what others think?

More than I want to, less than I could.     

N - What’s something you want to share with everyone?

Love letters to characters, funny videos, and videos of small and/or cute animals.

O - What are your pronouns? 

She/her. I’m lucky enough to be cis. 

P - How do you relax? 

I read, usually. But right now I'm part of a cutthroat goodreads competition which includes buddy reads, and a lot of the buddy read books are not quite my thing so it’s a bit of a chore. I’m slowly weaning myself off the competitive spirit so I can go back to my purely pleasurable reading. 

Right now, my relaxation times have more to do with casual games than reading. It’s all very weird. 

R - Are you introverted, extroverted, or ambiverted?

Introverted.

S - Do you think before you speak? 

Lol no. I am usually pretty diplomatic by default though, so I don’t tend to get into too much trouble. Unless it’s with family, because 95% of them cannot take anything except grovelling respect.  

T - What’s one thing you’re certain is true?

I don’t know how to answer this one. I’m going to pass on it. 

U - Name one thing you wish was common knowledge.

Sexual activity without consent is bad and should not be done, and there’s nothing funny, forgivable or understandable about groping, sexually charged commentary or judging someone as "asking for it.” 

I have had far too many people in power tell me to behave more properly while shrugging off skeevy or worrisome behavior from the male of the species as “boys will be boys.”

F - Is it important to speak more than one language? 

Yes. It gives you a different perspective on what different cultures find important, and allows you to compare and contrast what’s acceptable, possibly helping you become a more nuanced individual. It works better if you learn two languages from two different families instead of two which are very closely interconnected, though. 

H - Would you say you’re impulsive? 

Sometimes. I get panicked into it if I have to make split second decisions.

W - Name a loan word in your native language, and tell where it’s from.

One of the more interesting Malayalam words I know is sayipp, which is a condescending (I mean, it’s not derogatory as such, but it’s certainly not respectful) term used to refer to a foreign male, usually a caucasian. The origin of it probably from the Hindi word sahib, which is a respectful term used for a highly-ranked male of any race, and was used to refer to Europeans during colonist rule. I find it hilarious that a word which was originally respectful was turned into something with the connotation of a child who needs to be looked after.   

The female version of this transformation is Madam into madamma. Again, respectful to condescending. Because Malayalis condescend to everyone, including each other.   

ŠČ - Are you easily caught off guard?

Note really. I don’t have a baseline for normal, so I tend to shrug off most weird things.   

Ć - Know anybody Jewish?

Yes on the internet. No in real life. 

Č - Have you ever seen or read How To Eat Fried Worms?

I don’t think so, but I could just have forgotten it. 

Š - Does silence freak you out?

I don’t think I really encounter complete silence much. There’s always some sort of background noise. Like the humming of the fan, or something; and I find that situation comforting.

Ye - Ever eaten lamb?

I’ve eaten mutton, but I’m not sure if that’s the same as lamb. 

Ñ - Any plans for tomorrow?

Sleep. Read. Possibly finish some of my five remaining presentations/reports.

Th - Would you care to learn Greek? 

Sure, why not?

Ě - What’s your stance on marriage?

Personally; I view it as more of a social contract than an expression of love, and I am not sure it’s for me.  

Non-personally; I want everyone who wants to get married to be able to get married, but also that the legal age for marriage should be 25 for all people, rather than anything younger. Polygamy or Polyandry should have enthusiastic assent from all partners before being held as okay. Divorce should be available to all consenting parties as easily as possible.     

X - Does anyone in your family have a different native language than you?  

Hooo boy yes. I have relatives by marriage whose native languages are Tamil, Kannada, Assamese, Marathi and Hindi. Technically, my Mom and Dad have different native languages, Tamil and Malayalam respectively, but Mom learned Malayalam as a second language.  

Ç - How often is your name misspelt?

Not that often most of the time, but I’m currently living in an area where the native language (Bengali) does not have the “v” sound. So my name tends to get written as Barsa, instead of Varsha. (I have no idea why the sh turns to sa, but that’s what happens most of the time.)
