time to tackle this big ass review. uhhhhhh welcome to the BFDIA 17/TPOT 15 review!

as noted, Spoilers Ahead!

so hhhhh lets start off with BFDIA 17. Personally, I think that this was the weaker of the two episodes, but!! and this is a very huge massive but!! That doesn't mean it was bad because hooooollly shit. As much as a Time Travel episode/episodes was a guarantee, I was NOT expecting it to be this well done.

Needle, the absolute Icon she is, starts off this episode with some awesome skills. She is running from Evil Leafy, she is amazing! and she is part of a bike now. Yet another brilliant 3d section.

I'm incredibly glad the lol-ers are gone. Ballooney did get annoying last episode tbh. Also the Spongey hate game is commendable. Also incredibly glad the other eliminated contestants are here to host now. Although, and this is a big although, I wish theyd stick to one host. I do like seeing Golf Ball again.

Fumigation made me laugh, GET THEM OUT OF THERE!!! THEY ARE PESTS!!!

I'm glad Pencil got the boot. She deserved it. Put her back in that classroom/j

SHOCKED THAT NEEDLE DIDN'T GET OUT BUT LIKE- ICON THAT SHE IS LETS GO. SHE WAS UP FOR ELIMINATION TWICE, FUCKING TWICE, AND SHE WAS SAFE. Honestly she's my pick to win BFDIA.

I'm glad she didn't stay with doing the two team thing. You go with Fries, girlie. FrieSmart forever.

incredibly based challenge btw. I really like the concept tbh.

Also shout out to Big Block.

I adore Book's storyline in this, probably more than any other in this episode. Ultimate Fetch Quest. With great cameos btw!!! Although I think Mirror and Spool are my favourites.

Nickel and TB had a fun storyline with the time travel stuff. I like the explanation to what Donut and Bottle were discussing in BFB 1.

The weakest one was probably Coiny and Pin's and Needle and Fries. Although I do like Fries calling Evil Leafy "EL". Besties to me... also a little Toxic of a team... love them lots...

As much as I dislike Coiny and Pin, ik with their popularity, I think one of them might win. I still want Needle to win, or Nickel! I think Nickel deserves a win.

Overall a little more boring than TPOT but there are moments I enjoy. I suppose we're getting the return of Leafy but idk, I've never cared for Leafy.

I find this episode very chaotic, but it sets up so SO much.

Gaty and Two bestieness real... "Don't worry about it, Two, I can handle this!" PROCEEDS TO NOT BE FINE.

I honestly cant wait to see how this storyline plays out. I adore that Two has their favourite contestant and keeps her around. like- sorry they're so besties to me.

ALSO THE CONFIRMATION OF TWO'S TEXTURE!!! EVERONE CHEERED!!! THANK YOU LIY!!!! Papery motherfucker/affectionate. Honestly my one question I had if I go to the meetup this year would have been what Two's texture was, mayhaps I can ask about One's or smth...

anywho! Cake at Stake was... far too chaotic for my liking. I know it was to set up the "Something is wrong here" but like- I just- I don't get it. On my initial watch I could barely keep track of what was going on. As much as I didn't really like Black Hole for most of BFDI, I think he really stuck out this episode. He was the best straight man he could be, he played it well.

also FUCKING BASKETBALL AND ROBOT FLOWER GETTING THE BOOT?????? WHAT????? HOW DARE US????

That begs the question, What happens to Basketball with One? Is the contract revoked? Does she get special treatment? What happens??????????

The appearances from Three were interesting. They do exist! But who are they? What do they want? Many questions....

also VR HEADSET!!! PLAYED BY JACKSFILMS!!!! Tbh I really enjoy Jacksfilms content. I'll like- binge his videos every few months. Its a good time. I kinda hope we see more of Vr Headset.

Onto the challenge. Might I say, incredibly fun challenge! The use of the yoyleite, despite it being obvious, was still fun to see. I liked how it was done.

One stand out part was Shoppy Cart. She was the only one remorseful. Only one with any guilt. She's willing to go back, and didn't need to die. I think that makes me like her a lot more tbh.

I feel like it got to a lull midway where it felt a little repetitive. While it had its moments there still, it just felt like Get Contestant, Kill Them, Cause a Fuckton of Damage, Leave. Although my two standouts were Liy ofcofc being her girlbossiest self and finally getting her fully flipped power boost, and the section with Boom Mic. ALSO THE FANNY AND BUBBLE TRUTHERS REJOICE! Even if you don't ship them, honestly their platonic friendship is something I could make an essay on.

The ending, oooohhhh the ending. Pencil's crash out... As much as I dislike Pencil, I kinda felt for her in that moment. Good for her. GB also getting a beautiful spotlight again... you go girl.

AND THAT MOMENT OF "its too late... we've caused too much damage..." I WANTED TO CRY... I HAD TEARS. THE. THE LITTLE GROUPINGS... SNOWBALL AND GRASSY... DEATH PACT... THEY FINALLY BROUGHT PIN INTO THE GROUP HUG........ ICE CUBE FORGIVING BOOK FOR THE END OF THE WORLD... EVEN JUST FOR A SECOND.... TENNIS BALL AND TV HAD TO FACE THE END ALONE... TB WAS SEPERATED FROM GOLF BALL... IMAGINE HOW THEY FELT...

Fanny and Ice Cube's silent agreement about One is everything to me.... I hope to god they're safe..................

Headcanons cause I'm gay

Garcello

-Definitely was either a skater kid or a guitar guy in highschool. Hasn't played or skated since he graduated but he still remembers how to do the basic stuff. Occasionally he'll get bored and play a bit in his room or skate back and forth in the alley but only if he knows not a lot of people are around. He only really let's Annie hang around when he does any of these things since they're so close and because she was around when he was got into those things. Annie bugged him to learn a couple of songs she really likes so sometimes she'll sing along (if he knows the lyrics he'll sing as well)

-Man may be like 26/27 years old, but bros got back problems like he's 50. Probably due to an accident he had as a kid (prolly from skating) and it just healed weirdly. (Annie jokingly calls him an old man for it)

-Hes one of those people that send the most chaotic and random memes to you at like 3am. They never make any sense and always leave you confused. No one knows why he does this he doesn't even understand most popular memes, hes like an outdated dad. Yet he always finds the most nonsensical ones and thinks its the funniest thing in the world.

-While he doesn't have as many squish mallows as Annie, he still has a couple laying around in his room. He mainly gets the small ones that come in a mystery bag (micro mallows I think is their name). He keeps his favorite/favorites in his coat pocket (its a secret, but the ones he keeps on him are just the 2 that remind him of Annie and himself ( if you selfship with him/he's one of your f/os, he has one of you too ;} )

-He doesn't have as big of a hyperfixation on one interest like Annie, however he does switch a lot between interests. He fixates on something and it lasts from a day to a week, before falling into something new or something he liked before (bit of a personal experience lol). Im not the most knowledgeable on some of these things but I feel like he swaps between are stuff like undertale, sonic (he loves the sonic boom tv show), kingdom hearts, pokemon (games as well as the show (loves sonic underground)), mystery skulls (both the band and the animations (Vivi is definitely his favorite but he totally has a crush on Lewis shhhh)), and over the garden wall (also a lot of the popular shows on cartoon network).

-He and Annie have a minecraft server that they play on a lot. They have a separate one they play on that has a bunch of their other friends, but he usually plays on the one with just him and Annie. Its not like he doesn't like playing with the others, he just likes how much more relaxed and contained it is with just 2 people (well, as relaxed and contained as playing with Annie can be. She's a very chaotic mc player lol)

Annie

-There isn't a canon height for her, that I know of, but my headcanon is either 5"5-5"8. She's not insanely tall but to 5"3 me, she tall pretty lady :} In liquid form though, I'd say she gets up to like 6"9-7"0 (speaking of the liquid form, she definitely is more non-verbel like that. I see that go around on twitter and in the discord and I 100% agree with it)

-Had one of those My Chem emo phases in middle/highschool. She still listens to them just not as much. I'm not projecting what are you talking about. Her favorite albums are Three Cheers and Danger Days. Sometimes you can catch her singing and its one of the best things to watch. She's either humming to herself idly or as if shes preforming in a concert its amazing. She has a pretty voice :} (if any of you listen to them/know their songs, she absolutely KILLS it on Helena like god I want to make a cover with her voice bank SO bad)

-SPEAKING OF PHASES she definitely had a FnaF phase. I don't know how I know this, but I know she did

-Don't know why but I feel like she would play laser tag a lot. I imagine there's an arcade in the town they live in that also has a room for laser tag. Her and Garc use to go to there a lot in middle and highschool so shes hella good at it. She's pretty fast with a quick reaction time so she's got the highest score. Garc isn't that bad at it but he can't really keep up with Annie both in skill and in agility so he doesn't play often, and instead just watches and waits at the end for her.

-Sends cute cat pictures and cat memes to Garc everyday (and to you if you selfship). Though, if someones having a bad day, she'll send as many as she can to cheer the person up :}

-The amount of squish mallows this woman has. Her bed is almost entirely covered in plushies and there's still TONS on shelfs, in closets and in those little nets people use to store them in. Everytime they go out Garc will always drive to whatever near by location sells them. Hell there's some still in the car, buckled up in the backseat. She remembers all her favorites' names :}

-They always seem pretty tall on TV, but in reality they're just wearing those platform highheels, so they're actually like 4"10-5"0. We love a short queen :} (if she's your f/o they love hate when you talk about how cute they look at they're actual height ;})

-Because of their mother, they've known how to play piano since they were pretty young. She doesn't really play anymore as she never liked playing in the first place. HOWEVER they only enjoy playing a piano/keyboard is when they play the Keytar. They're really self conscious about it since their mother hated it and its usually seen as a geeky/weird thing to play, so they usually play by themselves at home late at night.

-For some reason she always smells like sugar cookies. Its not any type of lotion or perfume they use either, they somehow always weirdly smell like sugar cookies. Very confusing and misleading if you ever meet them face to face. Them insulting you while looking tall and menacing yet smelling really sweet.

-If Host and Annie were to become friends like I talked about in the other post, they would both show each other their collection of squish mallows. Host doesn't have as many as Annie, but they love their plushies just as much as her. They always buy the bigger ones as well the scented ones. Always exhausted from her show, they can't wait to go home. She loves to get in her pjs and snuggle into a pile of the biggest squishys and have a nice cup of tea.

-They also have a bit of a collection of candles. They usually get the ones that smell like cinnamon, pumpkin pie, or the lemon cookies

-Totally had a homestuck phase as a teenager and now is the "why did I ever read that, why do I still remember all that information and lore? I hate it here" but still always celebrates 413 and totally still has a troll and kidsona (Its been a good while but I see them as a Thief of Heart if anyone reading this understands homestuck). Also had a sonic phase and definitely made their own sona and ocs

BTS Tarot. 03

PSA. I wrapped this post while watching 'In The Soop' Season 2 Episode 1. In case you are interested.

I am back. To talk about bts tarot. Again.

As always, I’ll say this again:

But I also concern for those who take it seriously. ‘Seriously’ as in you take it for yourself, never get to tell anyone about it, believe what you just read, and whatever you just finished reading keep roaming inside your head to the point you no longer have passion to continue your life well. This is for the people who believe they are their idol’s soulmate, future spouse.. what else? etc. If they’re blindly into this, they can’t reach this post either.

This will be the last time I write about bts tarot unless I have a comprehensive one.

I think the Mrs.Jeon and Mrs.Tae posts on yt and tumblr have died months ago. At least there’s no post about it anymore now. And I wonder if people who read these already get over it? The first time I got it on yt recommendation, I want to read more and more. ‘More’ as in reading various sources. THERE’S THIS THING WHERE PEOPLE USE TAROT TO READ IDOL? I thought. I keep finding and reading new and old posts about it to this day. It is intriguing. But I can’t deny the first time I found them through yt, it’s overwhelming. Tbh when I found the terrible readings, really they are. I am concerned for them, for idol, and for myself.

WHY THE HELL DID I READ THIS? I thought.

In S.Korea, fortune-telling practice is common. It’s been portrayed in kdrama and kmovies many times, just to give the audience outlook that it’s common. Tarot reading, palm reading, face reading, saju. Korean visit them between December and February to see what’s for them in the new solar and lunar years. They provide their service at the shopping street, park, cafe, booth. For the overview, you can read it here.

I imagine when the idols find these kind of thing on internet, they’re like: Yep. Let’s not read this. I already know where’s this going. Being read without consent is not pleasant. They use internet too, do not ignore that! And the algorithm will eventually bring us together, fellas.

The internet connection is the only real connection between you and your idol.

I just felt the need to say that. Hhhhh..

Also, why Mrs.Jeon for Jungkook and Mrs.Tae for Taehyung? Why not Mrs.Kim? hhhhh..

Some people mistaken ‘bts smut’ in bts tarot as true love. Ideal love. Life is bigger than that and everyone can make the good and healthy decision for their life. Regardless how you consider your birth chart as undesirable. Everyone has the option. If you have the option to take the reading personally, you also have the option to forget it, move on, live a better and healthier life.

Personally, sometimes I get carried away when the reading is so beautiful. This applied for the older posts because I can’t find the good one recently. Even so, take it as a grain of salt (as one of the reader already stated in each of their post).

Currently bts is my ultimate as if it’s not obvious enough from my header. I haven’t paid attention to each kpop group that ever exist in S.Korea, but, bts, nct, and svt serve the most various content in this era.. I think. I personalized my feed already. Ever since I started reading articles about bts and kpop, all of the suggested content always about them. They blocked the local, national, international news feed. Even before I get into this rabbit hole, I already find them everywhere.

Again, it’s not the soul connection between you and your idol. It’s the internet connection. It's algorithm. Through google. It’s not related, I know, I just have to bring this up again!

This reminded me of taehyung’s: it’s not passion in our eyes, it’s eyeliner.

Then, fact check is a must. Critical thinking skills really necessary. If you’re still at school, exercising is also beneficial for your academic, and future. I think so.

I also reach out to my friend sometimes. My friends are into kpop longer than me and we discuss many things about kpop. The good, the bad, the balanced way to take kpop as a human.

If there’s one more point I’d like to suggest is:

Kpop is just an entertainment. If it contributes to your real life, fine, but still be wary. If it destructs you slowly, reach out. Hopefully that didn’t sound so strong for you, but I mean it.

..because this parasocial relationship truly can be as complex as life itself.

it's sweet that Dola notices his discomfort, tries to help him out,, man, imagine someone helping Satan express his feelings and listening to them,, the intimacy between them on the beach is so sweet, so soft, and Satan's frustrations are just. Augh. I feel it, I see it, I really do.

"That while he was once the most beloved of angels, I have only been a demon." :'( POOR SATAN,,, Lucifer chose to fall and give everything up and Satan was only just stuck with his lot in life no matter what, and feels like he can't create an identity for himself when Lucifer has re-invented himself once over, had everything when Satan struggles to have anything of his own.

I powered thru and still managed to understand most of the arc despite reading half this issue out of order (essentially) bc the website I read it on split the pages up and I couldn't tell they were supposed to be doubled (and also I'm dumb so I didn't figure it out)

oh and then rodimus casually volunteering chromedome to do mnemosurgery on anyone who might accidentally find out about them time traveling, which is again fucked up on multiple levels. the raaaaange

oh man that last panel of trailbreaker holding up roller’s juice box...iirc the first time I read this I thought that was roller (cause of the juice box I guess? idk I'm an idiot) so I was like oh ok he must've come back or something. very much related but I didn't really think about tarn being a particular pre-established character and totally didn't read the whole ‘roller is tarn’ thing that was going on 

which in my defense ruth also didn't pick up on any of that while reading this and eventually like 2 issues before the reveal I had to prompt her like ‘you should maybe be wondering WHO tarn is’ vhbahjksdfbaksjdf

so! issue 37! this issue is a solid favorite of mine, id say definitely top 5 or even 3. I'm super biased bc I fucking LOVE time travel, it’s seriously one of my favorite tropes ever, and this issue hits all the time travel beats I love. characters traveling to the past and interacting with people they know! conversations that have multiple meanings bc of TIME TRAVEL! trying to save someone who meets a terrible fate in your future! fun time travel action! the time traveling characters being generally terrible at hiding the fact that they're time travelers! ITS SO GOOD. 

and I love the clever way everything is tied together here - where we get a nice continuation of shadowplay, with this taking place shortly after that with a lot of the same cast, and time travel classics like the good ole ‘if we hadn't travelled back in time and done what we did, the future we came from wouldn't have existed at all,’ in the flavor of ‘rodimus saving his baby self’ and ‘rodimus NOT saving trailbreaker’ and ‘everyone forgot about roller :(’ 

ok but like, did the lost lighters just go ‘oh well, guess rollers gone now.’ like they DID realize that the outlaw crew would have no idea what happened to him if they got their memories erased, right?? did the lost lighters figure that since roller never reappeared after this time period, that was how history was ‘supposed’ to go and they shouldn't mess with it? am I overthinking it? as usual: yes, probably. I love overthinking about comics, in case that wasn't obvious

basically...I love this issue soooo much. so so good and a bunch of fun tropes that I love. I mean the whole arc is like that for me since I love time travel so much. so I cant wait to (re)read more!!

I thought a lot about this question and I’ve narrowed it down to 3 answers which are posted here in experienced order:

Daredevil 1x10 Nelson v. Murdock - i rewatched all of daredevil with my roommate during the quarantine part of the spring semester and had a blast. foggy finds out matt’s secret (being a superhero, his super senses). the Betrayal of it all. the way they show them ugly crying instead of like letting out a single man tear. fuck. “then again, maybe i would. what the hell do i know about matt murdock?” the cutting back and forth between their present day fallout and their meeting and developing friendship. it’s SOOO much it’s like Specifically Crafted for maximum pain and i eat it right up. foggy: are u even really blind? the show: *immediately cuts to a flashback of them meeting and foggy learning that matt is blind* foggy: was anything ever real between us? the show: *cuts to the two of them thick as thieves and making plans to form their law firm together and matt almost revealing his secret*. matt: this city needs me in that mask, foggy. foggy: maybe you’re right. maybe it does. but i don’t. i only ever needed my friend. the show: *cuts to them starting their law firm together.* also the scene where ben is in the hospital with his wife and we see her forget him on screen. ouch. a lot happens in this episode but tbh i just focus on the Friendship Falling Out. it reads even better if you think they’re in love with each other, as i obviously do. man daredevil Hurts.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars 7x12 Victory and Death (series finale) - the panic in rex and ahsoka as they have to get off this LITERAL sinking ship filled with enemies that used to be their brothers, who had just within the week painted their armor, one of the few things they can customize to express themselves, to resemble her, who they know would never willingly turn against them, and a fucking wackjob killer wildcard. the growing tension and cornering is fantastic. when ahsoka takes off rex’s helmet and he cries because he’s facing killing his brothers. the cute droid squad. i’m always a sucker for non-humans. the fact that they had special orders to kill ahsoka, who was no longer a jedi, from palpatine, meaning he thought she was a threat still and she IS. she’s up there with obi-wan in terms of attachments anakin has. the action is truly epic (though i do have to say the maul ahsoka fight was better). the fact that ahsoka and rex didnt just leave the clones there and they dug graves for them. the shot of ahsoka in her cloak in front of all the helmets painted like her face on sticks will be burned into my brain forever. vader coming down to the planet himself much later and finding and igniting one of the sabers he as anakin LITERALLY remade for her. just the image of vader holding a blue lightsaber is going to be the death of me. a literal representation of who he was. it’s too much. it’s too much for me to deal with. i started crying as i was typing this. also when you look closely you can see his eyes through the helmet lens. it hurts man. (possibly) morai flying away as this happens. man, star wars can be good. 

Supernatural 6x20 The Man Who Would Be King - ok so i know the question said year but man has show really defined my like last two months. as for this eps specifically, im predictable is what this says. i like tragedy and unhappy endings. i like gay angel. i like self-aware narration. i like reflection. i like the moment before it all goes wrong. this episode is the literal point of no return for s6 cas and i want to scream. it’s like when anakin cuts off mace windu’s hand. “but cas, youll call right? if you get into real trouble?” “and the worst part was dean, trying so hard to be loyal.” “for a brief moment, i was myself again.” “wonders never cease, they trusted me again.” “of course, i didn’t realize it at the time, but it was all over, right then, just like that.” “the big lie, the winchesters still buy it. the good cas, the righteous cas, and long as they still believe it, you get to believe it.” “it sounds so simple when you say it like that. where were you when i needed to hear it? / i was there. where were you?” “you know the difference between you and me? i know what i am. what are you, castiel? what exactly are you willing to do?” “i believe it’s what you would call a... tragedy from the human perspective... i’m asking you, father, one last time. am i doing the right thing? am i on the right path? you have to tell me. you have to give me a sign, because if you don’t... i’m gonna do whatever i... whatever i must.” like are you kidding me. not to talk about star wars even more but like. when rots novel said “the blurred line between our best and our worst” hhhhh. this makes me crave a 150k fic from cas’ perspective in season 6 where we see all the terrible things he’s doing for his well intentioned plan and how he keeps digging himself in deeper and deeper until it’s too late. and if i had the skill and time i would write it. alas.

FIRST NAME Good fucking question… It’s (sort-of) currently Dylann! I was Kieran before that, though; it’s still used as one of my first names and I’m not used to Dylann quite yet bc I’ve just started using it. 

Indigo is one of my middle names though, and I’ve used it as an online handle elsewhere forever so I use it here now!  [ Fun etymology facts: Dylan(n) is a mythology name generally meaning “born of the wave” (aspiring diver & a water witch at heart). Kieran means “little dark one” bc of my love for horror, && I chose Indigo bc as a kid to be it was neither boy (blue) or purple (girl) and was both and neither as well as my absolute favorite color as this vibrant ass mystical color. ]

STRANGE FACT ABOUT YOURSELF hmmmmm…. I’m a horror lover at heart, so as a child (I wanna say 12), I was walking through an antique store (I have a few cool finds, I considered putting my other one as the fact tbh) and I turned the corner and I saw these two dolls staring back at me at the foot of the stairs of this antique building. my blood froze, and i felt my stomach drop. i got actual, physical goosebumps stumbling across these two creepy dolls staring back at me in the corner, and i couldn’t leave the store without them. perhaps the little painted porcelain boy would be somewhat spooky by himself if it wasn’t for the terrifying lidded gaze of the porcelain girl with the hairline fractures and slightly open lips. i cant look at her. i dont really find dolls scary, I like to find the spookier ones ones, and she makes me paranoid as hell. i keep her face covered and her up in my closet except for when i bring her out to show her off proudly as the spookiest thing I have but……. i dont really collect dolls anymore.  even thinking about her brings a fearful tear to my eye.  i don’t like to think about her for very long, but that’s why I’m so fucking proud to own her. You bet your ass. If I ever need inspiration I just reread chapter 1. Although one of my other favorites was Broken Monsters by Lauren Beukes. But White Fang is like, a weirdly personal text. We stan London’s writing in this household.

Here we go I’m finally continuing our convo from like,, last week LOL but anyway 4-5k for an apartment I’m HOLLERING (yes i did it so you’d laugh) I’ve never lived in an apartment before but I’m pretty sure that’s really expensive for one sksks. Also personal chromebooks? My school literally can’t relate we share them with the rest of the students in the school. I normally go ham when I’m in a pool,, like I’ll start off w my hair up bc I don’t wanna get it wet but when I leave the pool everywhere is soaked. I haven’t played chicken in years?? Oml last time I played I was on my cousins shoulders and I was Puny. Haha most ppl are like “it can’t be that cold here right” and I’m “oh no it gets COLD” which I hate (but it’s colder in the territories so I’m thankful for where I’m at)

I’d rather it be hotter than colder bc at least there’s ac. I mean there’s heat but at least I can still walk outside without snow and ice everywhere. Don’t even get me started on freezing rain and winter tires and shovelling snow and OEUFIHD as you can see I hate the winter here. Tim hortons is so good I literally inhale iced capps 24/7. They’re pretty much blended frozen coffee but it tastes a lot better than it sounds!! I like to think of it as the Canadian pride and joy

I’ve actually never had timmies canned coffee… i’ve had the keurig pods things but they don’t taste as good as getting them from an actual timmies. But hey you never know maybe we will drink from ice bergs one day LOL. Heyyyy everybody welcome back to the rambling with Ardent show coz yet again I’ve been having thoughts and typing them out helps me process them so here they are. As always if u rebagel i kill you but like,,,, not today or tomorrow just one day...... ummm putting this one under a cut and like tw: abuse coz im gonna be talking quite heavily about that hhhhh.

Hi, I’m Ardent and I’m an introvert. “But Ardent you act like the LEAST introverted person I know”. Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa buckle up peeps coz all will be explained... eventually. This one is gonna be a long one.

Ok so I’m not 100% on where to take this one so it might be kinda messy, but y’all can just deal yea coz that’s what my brain is like All The Time. Anyways. I guess it started when I was REALLY young. Not the abuse itself, that’ll tie in later but. Fun Ardent Fax number 67: I was homeschooled until I was about 9. And here’s a free secret from me: homeschooling + adhd = a 9y/o who doesn’t reallly know how to relate to other ppl. Hella shy, hella nervous, bad at making friends. Got bullied quite a bit, it was whatever. Safe to say I was a pretty Lonely Kid. This isn’t part of the abuse, but it did set me up for it I guess. Like, it made me vulnerable in a specific way that someone could, and did, exploit.

When I was 12 was when I met her. She has quite a unique name and despite what she did to me I don’t wanna doxx her so imma call her NJB for nutjob bitch because I can be nasty if I want to and right now I want to. Shut up, this is my post not urs. Anyways, we were in the same class, we were both cut off from any other friends we had at that point due to them being in different classes and we kinda.. fell in together. Around this point was also when my mom got diagnosed with cancer, which will become relevant later. Back to the story. So for about a year, maybe a little longer everything was great. We got really close really quickly. She was probably my first Real Best Friend since I started school. Now the year before I HAD made some friends, but like I said, they all got put in other classes. And I was so friggin scared of going back to being that lonely that I got real close to her real fast. 

Then we started high school/college/whatever you wanna call it. And that was the point where things got.... weird. NJB started lying. About a ton of shit. And it was stuff that I KNEW was bullshit, but if I didn’t take her seriously enough she got pissy at me. And then like a week later wow, lie no longer relevant, wonder why that is??? Lmao. Now at this point there were other people in our group of friends. Who had all joined the group through NJB. This should’ve been a MASSIVE red flag, but I was like 13 or 14, so I didn’t pick up on it. Basically anyone else I wanted to hang out with, she wasn’t interested in getting to know. And if I hung out with other ppl and tried to become friends with them she started getting very pissy about that. And like... she was my Best Friend and these were people with Friend Potential and I didn’t wanna be lonely again so it was really no contest. 

And at this point she got bored of general lies and started lying about ME. Everything would be fine for a while and then she’d be like “why did you do/say this?” And it was something that NEVER happened. And sometimes she wouldn’t even explicitly say what I supposedly did, she’d just tell me that “I know what I did” (no i dont coz it never happened) and then she’d call me an ugly bitch or whatever. I could apologise or I could try and remind her that it never happened or I could just say nothing and take it and it didn’t matter. She wouldn’t talk to me, she’d stop our other friends from talking to me, and I would just be isolated for a while. A couple of times she threatened to beat me up, although she never actually did. 

And then she’d be all “I forgive you” or she wouldn’t even do that she’d just act like it never happened and was all ready to be friends again and I didn’t HAVE anyone else and I hated hated hated being so LONELY and would’ve done anything to stop. And I think there was also a bit of me that was scared of what she would do if I said no. So I’d go back to being her friend and everything would be great and fun and wonderful for a while and then it would happen again. And again. And again. For about a year.

Then my mom died. And I took a month off school. And two weeks after I got back, she did it again. Yeah. My mom had been dead 6 weeks and she decided this was the perfect time to make up lies about the depressed girl. I lost it. I literally threw myself at her. I got pulled off her and just kept trying to kick her, but I couldn’t and I was sent out of class. Didn’t get in trouble for it, but I got to spend that class sitting in the library reading and it was the only class I had with her so... probably for the best lmao. And on the very last day of school for the year she came up to me and acted like nothing had happened and I was so relieved to not have to be alone anymore and that she’d forgiven me for attacking her that I just.... went along with it. For another year or two. And then I finally had other friends and one day she started one of those lies that weren’t about me, but I was supposed to be ultra sympathetic to and I just. Walked away. 

And then the abuse itself was over, but the trauma was still there. And I repressed it so fuckin deep I only really remembered this shit all happened about a month ago. I got scared right, like deep down all the way inside me, of being that dependent on one person ever again that I would let them treat me like that because being alone was worse. And that was the point when I became an extrovert. I forced myself into that role of talking to as many disconnected people as possible and having as many different groups as possible because it was the only way I felt safe. Because she didn’t start that shit until at least a year into our friendship, so how tf was I supposed to believe that the new people in my life would 100% never hurt me like that? I still don’t know how. So I coped the only way I could: by making sure that even if someone DID pull that shit and cut me off from a group of friends I had other options. 

It also meant I have... issues dealing with loss. Because I DID have one other friend for the first year that was going on. And then she moved to Australia and I was totally alone. So I guess I started associating losing friends with becoming dependent on one person again, which ironically enough made me more and more dependent on anyone I thought I was losing. That’s one I’m working through. Now that I’ve realized it’s what’s going on I can actually start addressing it and tbh I feel so much better now I am. Still don’t know how to deal with the whole “im forcing myself to act like an extrovert even when it exhausts me coz it’s the only way i feel safe”, but it’s whatever. I’m on meds now and I have a good support network and I’ve started therapy. One day I’ll figure it out. I’ve been living like this for this long, I can keep it up until I reach somewhere better.

And I guess that’s my sign off reminder. Whatever you’re going through, you’ve survived it this long. You can keep surviving until you reach somewhere better. One day we’ll all get to be a person we’re happy with, we just gotta hold on and work to it together. Ardently, signing out.

2.) Top 5 on your bias list? - Yixing, Hani, Sooyoung, Key, Kino (well the order changes a lot but the top 3 are solid)

3.) Ult Bias group and why you love them? - EXO were the first k-pop boy group that I got into, and even though many, many groups caught my interest after them, my love for EXO hasn’t gone down over time. I loved almost all of their songs from the first listen and they were the first group that I went out of the way to look up variety programs and get to know personality-wise. I don’t know I think it’s a combined thing of just having really cool music, funny and attractive members, and sentimental value that makes EXO stand out to me. :)

4.) Ult Bias and why you love them? - I’ve said this before but Yixing stood out to me since Call Me Baby (well he stood out to everyone back then bc the blond hair was a Look)! I love his little dimples and his really sweet personality. And his morals are so strong (I was completely done for when I watched the first season of Go FIghting ;-;) and don’t forget he’s so talented at literally everything. But the biggest thing is that he’s just a really caring guy, whether it’s toward the other members, his GF castmates, the 99 trainees from Idol Producer, he just cares for everyone so much and it’s very heartwarming. Also, my mom likes him and that’s pretty cool
