Headcanons cause I'm gay

Garcello

-Definitely was either a skater kid or a guitar guy in highschool. Hasn't played or skated since he graduated but he still remembers how to do the basic stuff. Occasionally he'll get bored and play a bit in his room or skate back and forth in the alley but only if he knows not a lot of people are around. He only really let's Annie hang around when he does any of these things since they're so close and because she was around when he was got into those things. Annie bugged him to learn a couple of songs she really likes so sometimes she'll sing along (if he knows the lyrics he'll sing as well)

-Man may be like 26/27 years old, but bros got back problems like he's 50. Probably due to an accident he had as a kid (prolly from skating) and it just healed weirdly. (Annie jokingly calls him an old man for it)

-Hes one of those people that send the most chaotic and random memes to you at like 3am. They never make any sense and always leave you confused. No one knows why he does this he doesn't even understand most popular memes, hes like an outdated dad. Yet he always finds the most nonsensical ones and thinks its the funniest thing in the world.

-While he doesn't have as many squish mallows as Annie, he still has a couple laying around in his room. He mainly gets the small ones that come in a mystery bag (micro mallows I think is their name). He keeps his favorite/favorites in his coat pocket (its a secret, but the ones he keeps on him are just the 2 that remind him of Annie and himself ( if you selfship with him/he's one of your f/os, he has one of you too ;} )

-He doesn't have as big of a hyperfixation on one interest like Annie, however he does switch a lot between interests. He fixates on something and it lasts from a day to a week, before falling into something new or something he liked before (bit of a personal experience lol). Im not the most knowledgeable on some of these things but I feel like he swaps between are stuff like undertale, sonic (he loves the sonic boom tv show), kingdom hearts, pokemon (games as well as the show (loves sonic underground)), mystery skulls (both the band and the animations (Vivi is definitely his favorite but he totally has a crush on Lewis shhhh)), and over the garden wall (also a lot of the popular shows on cartoon network).

-He and Annie have a minecraft server that they play on a lot. They have a separate one they play on that has a bunch of their other friends, but he usually plays on the one with just him and Annie. Its not like he doesn't like playing with the others, he just likes how much more relaxed and contained it is with just 2 people (well, as relaxed and contained as playing with Annie can be. She's a very chaotic mc player lol)

Annie

-There isn't a canon height for her, that I know of, but my headcanon is either 5"5-5"8. She's not insanely tall but to 5"3 me, she tall pretty lady :} In liquid form though, I'd say she gets up to like 6"9-7"0 (speaking of the liquid form, she definitely is more non-verbel like that. I see that go around on twitter and in the discord and I 100% agree with it)

-Had one of those My Chem emo phases in middle/highschool. She still listens to them just not as much. I'm not projecting what are you talking about. Her favorite albums are Three Cheers and Danger Days. Sometimes you can catch her singing and its one of the best things to watch. She's either humming to herself idly or as if shes preforming in a concert its amazing. She has a pretty voice :} (if any of you listen to them/know their songs, she absolutely KILLS it on Helena like god I want to make a cover with her voice bank SO bad)

-SPEAKING OF PHASES she definitely had a FnaF phase. I don't know how I know this, but I know she did

-Don't know why but I feel like she would play laser tag a lot. I imagine there's an arcade in the town they live in that also has a room for laser tag. Her and Garc use to go to there a lot in middle and highschool so shes hella good at it. She's pretty fast with a quick reaction time so she's got the highest score. Garc isn't that bad at it but he can't really keep up with Annie both in skill and in agility so he doesn't play often, and instead just watches and waits at the end for her.

-Sends cute cat pictures and cat memes to Garc everyday (and to you if you selfship). Though, if someones having a bad day, she'll send as many as she can to cheer the person up :}

-The amount of squish mallows this woman has. Her bed is almost entirely covered in plushies and there's still TONS on shelfs, in closets and in those little nets people use to store them in. Everytime they go out Garc will always drive to whatever near by location sells them. Hell there's some still in the car, buckled up in the backseat. She remembers all her favorites' names :}

Host

-They always seem pretty tall on TV, but in reality they're just wearing those platform highheels, so they're actually like 4"10-5"0. We love a short queen :} (if she's your f/o they love hate when you talk about how cute they look at they're actual height ;})

-Because of their mother, they've known how to play piano since they were pretty young. She doesn't really play anymore as she never liked playing in the first place. HOWEVER they only enjoy playing a piano/keyboard is when they play the Keytar. They're really self conscious about it since their mother hated it and its usually seen as a geeky/weird thing to play, so they usually play by themselves at home late at night.

-For some reason she always smells like sugar cookies. Its not any type of lotion or perfume they use either, they somehow always weirdly smell like sugar cookies. Very confusing and misleading if you ever meet them face to face. Them insulting you while looking tall and menacing yet smelling really sweet.

-If Host and Annie were to become friends like I talked about in the other post, they would both show each other their collection of squish mallows. Host doesn't have as many as Annie, but they love their plushies just as much as her. They always buy the bigger ones as well the scented ones. Always exhausted from her show, they can't wait to go home. She loves to get in her pjs and snuggle into a pile of the biggest squishys and have a nice cup of tea.

-They also have a bit of a collection of candles. They usually get the ones that smell like cinnamon, pumpkin pie, or the lemon cookies

-Totally had a homestuck phase as a teenager and now is the "why did I ever read that, why do I still remember all that information and lore? I hate it here" but still always celebrates 413 and totally still has a troll and kidsona (Its been a good while but I see them as a Thief of Heart if anyone reading this understands homestuck). Also had a sonic phase and definitely made their own sona and ocs

So when Host was younger (from about 5 to 10 years old) most of their life would include their mom either judging talent/pageant shows or enrolling them into them constantly. Of course their mom was the type to only care for the winnings rather than her own kid.

Due to her being a judge, she knew the types of things that would give her kid a better chance at winning. However, this comes with her being hella strict, as well as insulting Host and other contestants. (Insulting much like the way Host runs their show later on)

As they got older, (11 to 15) they didn’t fit the criteria their mother wanted for the shows, (small and cute like) making her more abusive and critical towards Host.

For a while, it never got too major/fatal of an injury for anyone to notice anything going on. Until one day, Host was recording an intro video that would play at the start of an upcoming showing. Their mother, thinking the recording would take place the next day and this was them practicing, came in to watch over and give them “advice”. She was already pretty pissed off from an argument with the other mothers in the competition, so when trying to create “perfection” in her kid and it not going her way, she lashed out at Host.

Dodging the swing, they ended up bumping into the table. Accidentally spilling a drink on both of their outfits, only making the situation worse. The mother, even more enraged, grabs the knocked over broken glass and strikes them in the eye (this being the cause of how their one eye looks different). After storming off, Host is left to do their best to heal themself, later realizing they had recorded the entire thing. Having enough of her and her abuse, they had an idea on how to use the video. 

Time passes and it's finally the show day. This was already a pretty big event since this one was a global show rather than the smaller ones Host would perform at. After so many contestants go, it's finally the Hosts turn on stage.

Their original performance would start out with the intended video playing, Host coming out after the intro started, and doing a dance route. Course with the new addition, Host changed it up a good bit.

The video plays start to finish as everyone watches in horror the scene that had gone down. After the video concludes, their mother runs up on stage and begins yelling for them to come out.

Host would now play out what would technically count as their first episode of their later show. Entering the stage they call out and insult their mother the same way she would insult them and everyone else, in front of hundreds of people from all around the world. Their show finally ends with the mother being taken in for child abuse and neglect as Host is going to a better home for them to stay.

As time goes on, the video of Hosts performance that night slowly gains traction, and by the time they leave their other home, they've gotten enough recognition to start their own show. That being the show that they are now known for and takes place in Ms.Mediocre.

Now at first they didn't insult any random person that they could find or one they knew that would be guaranteed to make a good episode. Originally they started off using people they knew had done things like their mom. However, slowly over time, the people wanted the content that gave out the worst secrets and insecurities of a person, no matter if they've done anything bad or not.

Host, only knowing this way of life and this being their only way to do something they feel is important, goes the way their show is now run. Of course, deep down, they know this is wrong and they shouldn't be doing it like this, but its gone too far now and they have no plan on how to stop.

Host Rant Time bbyyyyyy

Basically slight angsty headcanonns and story stuff I've thought about for Host that no one asked for :} (some of these were ideas made by the people in the rageminer discord so credit to them! (if you guys see this hello I love your art and ideas for Host its amazing))

-I don't know where I came up with it, but Host is just the name they use for the show and their real name is Rune. Seems fitting but idk why or where it came from (also they picked the name themselves :})

-They go by they/she pronouns! They don't mind using her/she but they prefer using they/them :}

-Even though I talked about some of it before in my Host backstory post, one of the main reasons they run the show (as much as the hate to) is to make fun of people by the same things she's insecure about. While originally it was because of the things I talked about before, it slowly turned into hating people for the things they hated about themself.

-They wear a lot of things that cover up the things they're insecure about. For example, their shades cover their eye because they know that people would either be afraid of them or make fun of them for it. They wear things that cover more skin to hide the stretch marks and freckles all over their body.

-They don't really have anyone they're close to due to either people hating her or wanting to be friends because of how popular she is. Or because Host doesn't want to get to know some people because of their trust issues. Trust issues being them afraid of someone they end up loving, hurting them or them accidentally saying something to the person and hurting them. They just rlly need a genuine hug, man.

-If they were to meet Annie and Garcello, I feel like for a good while none of them would get along, especially Host and Annie. Annie would already be annoyed if Host were to say anything about her, but she'd get really pissed if they said anything about Garc. Maybe eventually if Host were to either stop their show or turn it for the better, she would slowly forgive them and appreciate that they could stop themself from their past and try to make every better.

-I'd say for Garc since he's more laid back and calm, would be able to see where Host was coming from. It would take a bit since he would somehow have to know about what happened with their mother/how deep they've fallen into the home they dug for themselves of course. However, he does understand the issue of doing something that makes them feel better for a moment and constantly doing it. Even though it's hurting themselves and others they know its bad and want to stop that problem yet having a hard time of stopping it because they don't know how or its something hard to drop. While its not exactly like his situation he does see where its all coming from and feels bad for them. He isn't really good at talking things out especially with someone he isn't close to. If they were friends then maybe but Host would have to stop the show or change it for anything to happen. He still would stop and say something if they said anything about Annie though.

-I feel like maybe eventually with enough of a push and sometime they could turn their show around to something better. Could be something happens to them that forces them to stop everything from getting worse or a person cares enough to stay and help them change no matter how long it takes or how rough it is (could be another character or yourself if you're a selfshipper like me hhhhhh). They would take a break for a while, needing a mental break from everything and if they were to continue the show, they would need ideas on how to fix it. Whenever they come back and start the show again, instead of bringing people in and mock them for their insecurities, they would have people on and doing whatever they can to make them feel better about themself. Could be something like anonymous calls where they'd give advice about the callers situation or if someone needs money due to a financial situation like loss of home or medical bills etc, they bring them on TV and try to raise money for them. It might take a bit for people to believe Host and trust that its all legit and that they won't go back to what they used to be but eventually they'd turn it all around, run a pretty good show and help a lot of people :}

Might make more of these eventually maybe even x reader content if I get confident enough but I want more Host content out there. Yes, they may not deserve it but with my headcanons and some character development they will earn it.
