"𝐍𝐎 𝐖𝐀𝐈𝐓, 𝐖𝐄 𝐒𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐋𝐃 𝐓𝐑𝐘 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐎𝐍𝐄 𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐑 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄!" an excited jungwon squeals as he pulls you by the wrist.

date nights with jungwon were not uncommon. whether it be cafe hopping or watching a horror movie, you had been on many dates with him.

even if it was only a few months into your relationship with him, he always had a surprise up his sleeve. he always made date nights interesting.

as jungwon grabs your wrist to run to what he was pointing at, you take in this new aura of your boyfriend. the surrounding bright neon lights and the glow in the dark carpeted floor made it clear. jungwon had brought you to an arcade.

as you finally reach your destination after what felt like an eternity of jungwon pulling you, you come across a bright light in front of you, a square cube filled with all kinds of plushes. a claw machine.

"ynnie! look! oh i have to win one! where's my game card?" jungwon exclaims as he frantically looks for his game card he bought, prior to the date night.

"wonie, you know this is a scam, right?" you explain to him, as he's still looking for the card in his totebag.

jungwon gasps wildly, and looks at you like you just stole all the stars from the sky. "how dare you?! these are little plushies just waiting to be saved! can't you see their little faces trapped in that horrid cage?"

you laugh at his exaggeration, his face all pouty from your 'insult.'

as he finally finds his game card, his smiling expression beaming, he enthusiastically taps his card on the scanner, before the arcade music starts, and the 30 second countdown begins.

jungwon looks up into the glass cage as he can now move the crane with the joystick. he beams up into the cage as he slowly moves the arm to which plush he wants to get.

"oh- so clo- wait- baby can you check from the sides to see if it can properly grasp it?" jungwon asks, his face beaming with excitement.

you sigh as you move aside, looking into the glass cage from the sides. you decide to play with him a bit, "oh! move it back just a tad bit! yes- a bit mor- right there!"

as jungwon presses the big red CATCH button with confidence, you smile at him menacingly from the side, as the claw completely misses the plush.

"wait— no! i was so close!" jungwon cries out, seeing the claw move towards the drop zone without a plush in it.

you giggle and jungwon spots you, before giving you a pout. "baby~ what was that for?"

"you looked so excited to get the plush! i'm sorry, we'll try again, m'kay?" you confessed, as his face begins to light up again once more.

jungwon smiles and jumps in excitement, before tapping the card once more, and the game starts all over again.

this time, you're actually determined to help him get the plush, after seeing his beaming face and glowing smile. you can't help but wonder how it would be like if you could have that smile embedded in your brain.

as he moves the joystick and the claw moves once more, you grasp his hand—which was holding the joystick and help him adjust. he looks at you with a smile before focusing back to the game.

finally, you make the last few adjustments before you grab his hand to hit the CATCH button. at first, jungwon was surprised with the sudden decision, "ynnie~ that wasn't in place yet!" he whined.

you smiled at him before looking back into the cage, only to find the claw grasping none other than the plush he wanted. as the claw lifted it up, jungwon's eyes were focused. his eyes stuck following the plush, where it moved swiftly, and finally landed in the drop zone.

jungwon let out an excited gasp, before squatting down and grabbing the plush out of the collect here drawer. he smiled at you with that beaming smile, and you could feel your cheeks grow red.

"baby see! i told you we could do it! i caught it!" he smiled, holding the plush in your face, showing it off.

you giggled at him before mumbling "no, you're a catch."

you had thought jungwon was too enthralled in the plush to hear you, but his super-hearing picked up what you said.

"hmm? what did you say?" jungwon questioned you.

you snapped back into reality, gazing into his eyes, "what? oh nothing..."

jungwon laughed, "you think i'm a catch, don'tcha?"

you tried to hide your face in your hands, hiding your red face, before jungwon pulled you in a hug. you continued to hide your face in his neck, embarrassed.

"you don't have to hide, baby." jungwon giggled, as he pat your head, and kissed your forehead out of habit.

you felt goosebumps run throughout your body, before looking up and smiling at him. you kissed his cheek shyly, as you felt a soft item land in your arms.

as jungwon placed the plush he just won in your arms, he beamed at your confused expression, "i don't need the plush, you're always going to be my catch anyways."

The actual irony (that you missed) is that lesbians simply cannot appropriate bisexual women in the same way bisexual women do to lesbians, because bisexual women are a privileged majority group and lesbians a marginalised minority group. Here's that in picture format for you:

Bisexual women are a large group who are catered to by both the LGBTQ+ and straight communities, because it is profitable to cater to majority groups. I know that's very hard for you to hear, I know your identity very much hinges on victimhood, I know you think the one time someone told you to "pick a side" is the same as everything homosexuals have been through. But it's not, sorry, you're incredibly privileged compared to lesbians.

A common behaviour of the privileged to the oppressed is "appropriation". Think wearing indian headdresses at festivals or racist halloween costumes or blackface. The privileged will pick and choose what they like, sanitise of its original meaning, wear it as a cute little fashion accessory, all the while still actively shitting on the marginalised minority they stole it from.

Y'all privileged bisexual women chose the word femme and sanitised of its original female-centric meaning, to the point everyone now feels entitled to use that word, from women in heterosexual relationships to whole ass males. Your appropriation of the word femme has utterly destroyed the power that word had in giving a name to the small minority of exclusively same-sex attracted women who performed femininity for other women. What was once a word that expressly referred to homosexuality has been watered down to a synonym of feminine. A rich aspect of lesbian history gone, erased, invisible, thanks to you.

(Funnily enough when y'all were picking and choosing you didn't so much choose the word butch, I guess because men just hate butch lesbians so much it's hard to sanitise the original meaning out of it and make it fashionable to this male-centric world. But I digress.)

Now, I understand you've probably scoffed your way through all the above and that's because you're privileged enough to not know the insidious, destructive impact of appropriation. It will never happen to you on the basis of your bisexuality, because bisexuals are a majority group.

I, as a lesbian, simply cannot do the same to the words "stag" and "doe" as your community has done to lesbians. Lesbians have neither the numbers or the privilege. I can say "I'm a stag lesbian" with as much malicious intent as I like, it will not impact you. Perhaps what would be a more accurate metaphor is if every straight man started calling himself a bisexual woman, while continuing to engage in the most privileged, straight man behaviour possible. That might be more in the ballpark of what bisexual women do to lesbians. But even so bisexual women are such a large demographic it likely still wouldn't cause the same level of harm.

In any case, a lesbian "appropriating" the terms of bisexual women actually, if anything, benefits bisexual women. Your community constantly strives for visibility on the basis of your same-sex attraction. That's WHY you appropriate the words of lesbians, that's WHY you're always minimising the differences between bisexual women and lesbians, because lesbians are the infamous face of same-sex attracted females. It benefits you on your quest for same-sex attracted visibility to be seen as adjacent to lesbians.

The opposite is true for lesbians. We are already seen by society as adjacent to bisexuals. The idea that lesbians could be inclusive of men has long been a particular point of lesphobic rhetoric. Bisexuals appropriating lesbian words is entirely in line with heteronormative expectations and extremely problematic for lesbians. We require visibility on the basis of our EXCLUSIVE same-sex attraction to females, which EXCLUDES males. Bisexuals (i.e. male-attracted and male-inclusive women) taking the very few words lesbians have to describe our exclusive attraction to females is so very destructive.

The final straw is that bisexual women DO have their own words and, like I said in the OP, you have all the majority group status and privilege you need to popularise them. Idc if you don't like those words. Make ones you do like. The state of your entitlement to think "oh I don't like these words" is an excuse to appropriate a marginalised minority group is just so mind-boggling to me. You absolutely would not survive a day facing the kind of shit you subject lesbians to.

TL;DR the joke was that a lesbian saying "I'm a stag tee hee" is such a small, petty swipe in the context of the colossal bisexual community utterly destroying the culture of an extremely small, extremely marginalised, minority group. But go on, scream biphobia and keep refusing to listen to lesbians while consuming every aspect of our being. It's not like anyone can tell you no.

^^^ and i will admit that such reasoning is probably the motivation behind why i wrote this contradictory post more than a couple years ago; and while after re-reading it i do still somewhat stand by my reasoning for the sentiment based on the origin, at the end of the day it just does not matter and it won't destroy the balance of the universe if i can't be bothered to care. the statistical number of bi women & lesbians who use each other's terms is so minimal and unaffecting that this discourse is the only thing even bringing awareness and attention to it.

TL;DR ─ use whichever labels you wish if you like them enough and before you "steal" something to teach a lesson in favor of exclusionism, make sure it isn't from people who have always radically believed that sharing and accepting with the fellow marginalized is a good thing!

"Okay, ma'am, I'll see what I can do. For now, can you please tell me what's going on? It's company policy to-"

"I don't care! I want to speak with a manager, you little moron!"

He scribbled his manager's name on a small whiteboard amd held it up as the woman started telling him exactly what was wrong with his generation. It was taken from him and returned, with 'she's @ lunch' on the bottom. Oh no.

"Ma'am, I'm sorry but my manager is in a meeting and won't be available for at least an hour. Is this something I could help you with? I can pull up your order for you and see what is going on."

"You stole my money!"

He raised an eyebrow. "If you'll provide me an order number, I'll be happy to give you the status of your order. If something has been delayed further than the originally estimated date, we can offer a partial refund. I do also need to let you know this is a recorded line," he offered.

She hissed, and he fought a giggle. Did she really think that was scary? He was from Amity Park. "I want a full refund, now!"

"We're only able to offer that in specific conditions, and l'll have to look up your order first."

"Let me talk to your manager, you little pissant," she snapped.

He raised the sign again. This time, it was returned with a frowny face. "I'm sorry, ma'am, she is still in that meeting. Is there something I can help you with?" Damn that one-call-resolution company policy!

She shouted and hung up. Finally. He muted himself and started taking notes to disposition.

Beep! Beep!

"Hi, thank you for calling-"

"I swear to God I will sue you if you give me the run around like that last kid."

Wes put his head in his hands. "Hello ma'am, this is Wesley on a recorded line. Our manager is currently busy, but I'll be happy to help you! Can I have your order number please?"

After 5 minutes (he counted) of complaints, she finally provided it. "Thank you, and who am I speaking with?"

"What?"

"I have to confirm the name on the order before I can discuss anything due to privacy laws."

"Karen. Schmidt." The words sounded ground out, but matched the order.

"Thank you, Ms. Schmidt. I'm showing your order was delivered on October 1st, and you signed for it. Was there something wrong with the order?"

"You can't see that!"

Not a denial, he noted. "I am looking at it now, ma'am. Is your address still 718 Crossgrove, Apartment C6, Paulson, Illinois?"

"Yes," she agreed after a moment. "But I didn't sign for it!"

"I can send a ticket to your local post office and make sure nobody signed for you," he said, "and it should take 2-3 business days to hear back. After that, we'll be able to-"

"The plates are broken," she said, and finally they were getting somewhere!

"I'm sorry to hear that! Can you please describe the damage, and if they were already damaged when you opened the box?"

"They've got this black box around them, and you can't see the whole design," she said, "and I'm not paying for broken ones."

Black box? Wait. "Is it shiny, and does it feel rubbery? The black stuff?"

"Yes, it's wrong!'

"Right. So that's just the protective covering. It protects the edges of the plates from damage and cracking. All you have to do is pull it off, and-"

"I'm the customer, you should do that for me!"

Was she asking him to drive an hour away? To unwrap her 'Best Grandma' plate?

"Unfortunately, we're not allowed to do that due to the risk of the edges breaking during shipping. However, it's easy to do, just-"

"Are you saying I'm stupid?!"

"No ma'am, I'm just providing instru-"

"I hope you get fired!"

How mad would they be if he just hung up?

She continued to rant, and he finally interrupted. "Ma'am, on the back there's a tab that says pull here. Just pull it."

She spluttered unhappily. "So?! It came off, I still want my refund!"

"Right. So go ahead and ship it back, we'll send you a label. Once we get the plate back, we can process a 50% refund since it isn't actually broken."

"But I want the plate."

Before he could stop himself, his patience long gone, he snapped, "that's not how Capitalism works. Send it today, we can get up to 50% back. Keep the plate for longer than 10 days, no refund. Keep in mind, it's already been 9."

She spat filth at him and hung up. He took notes and dispositioned.

His manager walked in. "Hey, did I miss anything?"

Wes groaned. Was that what he sounded like to Danny and his friends? An idiot who wouldn't listen to anything?

If u mean my real name I'm not sure but my dad picked my real name!! My alias on here is a funny story tho - also dad related. He really wanted me to grow up to be a tennis player when I grew up (like Venus Williams) so I stole her name for myself LOOOOL - I also never ever learned how to play tennis 😭

oh my GOD constantly!! I'll talk to myself when I'm cooking pretending I'm teaching someone how to cook. I talk when I do my makeup thinking I'm doing a tutorial for my non existent YouTube channel. I also LOVE arguing with myself?? Like I pretend I'm someone I hate in my head and then I will argue back out loud with my comebacks, good way to train in case anyone tries me HAHA

Oh I usually just stick to like Instagram (even though I hate that 99% of the post from here arn't original 🙄) or YouTube for bits of content in general, but I'm a new got7 fan and wanted to check out some more so I typed got7 in the tags for the Tumblr search and your blog popped up, your gifs are some of my favourite and that's why I come around to check it out every now and then! story time!!!!! i once made and ig fan account to try something new and someone stole an edit i made when i didn’t even have 100 followers like wth people don’t care, they repost everything and it’s annoying as hell because they act all like “oooops sorry i didn’t know” excuse me???? how can you not know that saving and reposting someone’s edit without their permission or giving them credit is BAD?

so yeah i can’t do ig. twitter is a nightmare and that’s no secret. so tumblr is the best place to be. it sucks sometimes, but people here are chill most of the time and we can create and share all kinds of content .
