Thank gosh it’s finally Friday, which means one last shift to go, but I’m already so exhausted and tired that I’ll probably have to pass out when I get home or something. I don’t even have energy for todays shift o|-< my everywhere is aching and I got weird bruises in places I don’t remember getting lol (like a really dark one on my stomach?????)

I’m massive
It all started about 7 months ago. It was so sudden too! This 6’7 guy and I hooked up at a party in college, after a hot night of sex with petty much a giant I never saw him again. This asshole…. After a month or so I realized my period was late. It’s never late. I went directly to the nearest pharmacy. I was so nervous that I had to stop for some fast food. What kind? The greasiest, most filling, most oily burgers In town. Either way, I bought a pregnancy test and sure enough.. I was pregnant… me, Tiffany… the 4’9 girl with black hair, always dressed in nice cardigans and tank tops, with jeans and my books in my hands. I was pregnant with the baby of a 6’7 giant dude… who knows what kind of bay he was!! I was so sure I was gonna become huge! This guy was probably some sort of 15lbs mega baby! And now I’m growing his offspring inside me! it was surreal! What was the next thing I did? I ordered a pizza, an Xlarge extra cheese extra peperoni pizza to go for myself. I tend to eat a lot in stressful situations and I knew this was not gonna be easy.
I called my bestie, jessie. For all I knew she was the only person there for me now
“Hey jessie…”
“Hey tiff, what’s up?”
“Can we... meet up at my house? I gotta tell you something.”
“Sure sweetie, Ill be there at 6 after work”
What was I going to do! I drove home and simply sat on the couch while eating my pizza. I kept thinking about this super baby growing inside me… oh fuck what if it was twins!!!! Can I even carry 2 15-pound babies!?
The thoughts kept racing through my head and I just couldn’t stop thinking about it.. I’m 4’9! I’m gonna look huge before my third trimester! What the hell!
As I finished the pizza, the door rang. It was jessie. I got up from my seat, I was stuffed at the time I remember. Every thought in my mind was pointing at the fact that I’m gonna become huge
“j-jessie..”
“tiff what’s wrong? You’re scaring me”
“come on in..”
We both sat on the couch, and I had in my hand the pregnancy test and showed it to her
“omg sweetie! You’re pregnant?!”
“y-yeah…”
“who’s the father?”
“remember Sean? The guy I hooked up last month with?”
“the giant dude? The one that could probably pick you up with his hands?”
“yeah….”
“omg…. Well..holy… shit…”
I nodded, she’s right… I don’t even know if I’ll b able to birth them properly! They might have to open me. Although there is something I won’t be able to deny for long. I’m about to get absolutely massive.
I didn’t even know how I was gonna deal with it. And what if they were twins?! What would happen if I was growing this giant’s super babies?! Fuck!! I’m only a short girl!
My fear wasn’t without reason, the next few weeks I noticed my bump growing, and not at a slow rate. After only 3 weeks I was already showing a small bump. When I went for my first ultra sound after only 2 months, I was already having trouble fitting in my clothes. The baby inside me kept me constantly hungry too so eating was a must. I probably kept stuffing myself for those 2 months every day. I know more than half of the weight I put on was not baby weight.
“nnnngh!! Get. Pass. My. Giant. Butt you stupid jeans!!! Nnghphh…” getting my favorites jeans to fit was a constant struggle, my thighs had become huge. A single one was as thick as both my skinny thighs together.
“come onnnnnnn… why won’t this shirt cover me!!!” my belly was getting amazingly big every day. My shirts were barely able to cover me past my belly button and still my underbelly would be in the wide open. I was fast becoming a pregnant cow eating a sandwich while waddling down the street.
My second ultra sound was the big one. It’s where I found out something I was suspecting after a few months.
“good afternoon miss… Wolfson? That’s a peculiar name..”
“it’s a made up name doc… I changed it..”
“oh that explains it.. well how is momma-to-be today?”
“massive..”
“I can see that and I can see you’re only 3 months in? it’s certainly normal to be your size when you have multiples, specially if you’ve been eating”
“wait… multiples?” I didn’t know what he meant by that! How can I carry more than one 15lbs baby?!
“sure! You didn’t think you were only having one did you? Let me get the machine set up” he moved around the bed getting the ultrasound machine and using the probe to rub this gel on my tum. My belly button was already having a hard time being shallow, soon it would pop. But what worried me were my boobs who went from a b cup all the way to a double D after only 4 months. Still my belly was the one thing that was big enough to cover my feet eliminating any hope I would see them again.
As he used the probe moving it around an image started appearing.
“there I see one head…. 2…”
“2?! Doc are you sure?”
“oh yes and.. oh? Look number 3!”
“3?! Doc I can’t ne carrying three babies!”
“no you’re right because I’m seeing baby number 4 right there”
4!!! 4 babies! Four massive babies growing inside my 4’9 body!! How the hell! He must have had some super sperm or something! Because ain’t no way I was carrying 4 over developed babies!
“d-doc… are you sure?”
“yeah and I think that’s it. Well given your condition you’re gonna have to go into a strict diet and make sure your babies are well fed. At the end of the line you might have to adjust your house or apartment If you don’t have a nurse in order to move around. It can certainly be a challenge and you will most likely be bed bound by the end of it. So please do take necessary precautions to prevent anything from happening”
I could not believe it… I was carrying 4… and not from some skinny 5’7 guy, these were from a 6’7 massive dude that I could tell he was some sort of mutant super baby! And I’m carrying 4 of him!
I immediately went to the first fast food place I could find and ordered 5 of the biggest burger meals they had. Why? Because I need to eat!
My belly was already massive I front of me, but as I ate my belly button started to show up, my shirt riding over it and people just staring. I guess it’s not everyday you see a super pregnant girl eat in public like this.
the more the months passed, the more I grew not only my bump but I also started getting fatter. Way fatter than what I should be. My arms started developing fat around them, my thighs and ass grew and grew more but my belly stuck out so far in front of my it rubbed against the steering wheel of my car every time I drove. It was also getting hard getting through door frames. The skinny 4’9 girl soon became a 300lbs brood mother carrying 60lbs of pure babies.
At my 7 month, it was already getting hard enough to walk around at all. My bump towered over me each morning. All I could see was this mountain of flesh on top of me, my boobs almost smothered me in my sleep. I could not see them but I could tell I started leaking a lot. Not only that but getting around my belly to satisfy my needs was getting to be a challenge too. I had to fit a remote-control vibrator to my bed and lay on it if I needed some release.
I went to see jessie on one occasion, she was so In love with this new form of mine every time we saw each other she would rub lotion on me and talk to my babies about anything.
“oh this one time, your mommy was at the gym and she had a treadmill running competition, she ran 25km in less time that it takes you guys to kick~”
“jessie.. please don’t make them kick… they get rowdy when they start.. and it’s uncomfortable”
“I know.. but I love seeing a kick here and there~…”
At that moment one of them kicked at the surface near my belly button where jessie was and her head went for a joy ride
“aaah!~ haiiii baby! It’s me, aunt jessie!!”
“uuugh…. i.. I think I should be going..”
“okay, just take care of the babies please~”
As I got to the door I notice how close I was to the frame, my figure could barely pass through it. It’s… fuck it’s amazing.
I got into my car, sliding the seat as far back as I could and still my belly was touching the steering wheel. Driving like this was pretty uncomfortable but there was a certain kinky element to it. In the last ew months as I kept growing I’ve been getting more and more in love with my own figure. Every bite, every inconvenience like reaching the top counter or squirming in bed to try and get up was such a turn on that I was staring to get horny at the littlest things.
When I got home I looked into my bag and the horror happened
“w-where are my keys?! D-did I leave them at jessie? i… I don’t wanna drive all the way back, she would probably keep me there another hour…”
In a panic I looked around and saw that my window was open, so I jumped (“jumped”) the bush, waddled myself to my window and opened it. I threw in my purse first with my phone in it. Then as quicky as I got the idea I also did the brilliant thing of trying to get through the window. Yeah, massive quad girl with 350lbs of blubber which 75lbs were just baby was trying to get through a window. That would obviously work (sarcasm)
“nnngh.. c-come on!!! Hhhmpppfff!! Nnngh aaaah!! Get through dammit!!” I kept pulling myself through and I probably should not have done it because eventually… I got stuck…
“aaaumpf!!! G-get assed it come one!! Nnnghpppppppffff aaaha!! Nnngh!” my belly was in all display trying to get through. My ass was sticking through my jeans more than any other time and I could tell my neighbours were looking at me.
Suddenly my babies inside me started shifting, as if they knew mommy needed to squeeze through
“aammmmpppff.. mmmmphph t-that’s it babies.. aahaa.. f-fuck stop moving that much!” the moves and kicks did turn me on severely, so much that if someone passed by and saw my ass sticking out, decide to have their way with me? I would probably beg for it.
“nnnnnngh.. o-okay almost there.. mmmmmmpphh… aaha gggggrrrrrnnnnn”
And just like that the movement inside me was enough to get me passed the tight window. When I did get inside I was so damm horny I desperately tried to get my hands down there. The first thing I did was head straight to the fridge, get something to drink like a weight shake and laid on bed right on top of the vibrator. I hoped to fuck it had batteries because I was not getting up anymore… in fact.. I don’t think I would be able to in about a week..
A request I’ve been meaning to write but never found the time for it. Here it is and I hope you all enjoy it

The things I did when I thought I was gonna die
On the last 2 weeks of September, I got terribly sick yet I didn’t want to be admitted in the hospital. I was experiencing COVID-like symptoms but without fever. The very day that I got back from my month long vacation in Cebu, I began having crazy migraines, dry cough and hella itchy throat, and body malaise which made me cry for my mom.
You see, I live alone here in Iloilo; no friends and family nearby. There was no one to take care of me but myself. And to make matters even worse, there was a typhoon going on so I was not able to replenish my fridge and pantry with healthy stuff because I couldn’t go out.
This was on top, by the way, of feeling awful about what happened with our account. I was already depressed before leaving Cebu and then I got sick. Double kill, right? So the girl’s got to do what she needsta do to get well and be better.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
1. I took that “down time” to recharge my social battery by getting a lot of sleep and enjoying the solitude after weeks of being around people. I spent most of emotional breakdown in my study area and in my bed.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
2. Because I couldn’t go to the wet market and grocery, I relied mainly on ramyeon and takeouts. I gotta feed myself, you know. Thank God for Foodpanda vouchers! And good thing there’s a pharmacy a block away from my place so my sick self was able to buy ramyeon, water, and Berroca. (Have you tried eating your burger that way? I swear, it’s really good!!!) I also binged on Netflix series because why not.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
3. I made sure to take my supplements and keep myself hydrated so I wouldn’t die. LOL! I mean, yeah, most of the time I think about death and what’s the best way to leave this place but… when I was sick, I didn’t wanna die that way. I wanna go in my own terms hahaha!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
4. If I was not watching series on Netflix or in my workstation (or asking God to just take away my life lol), I surely was liking baby photos on X. Yes, babies as in cats. Cat photos on that platform just put me in a good mood each time.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
5. Even though I was terribly sick, I still showed up to work virtually and in person. In those 2 weeks that I was ill, I only called in sick once. Mainly because I was on training for my new account and I didn’t want to miss out on important stuff and, maybe, I think, I’m workaholic? I don’t know. Maybe I am, maybe I’m not. On that day that I filed for sick leave, I told my manager that I badly needed to rest just 30 minutes before my shift starts and I am beyond grateful for having her as my superior because she just let me rest that day, no questions asked nor did she ever call me to “verify” if I really “sounded” sick. I slept for 13 hours and woke up prolly 3 hours before my shift the following day. I truly praise God for hybrid work arrangement 🫶🏼.
My takeaway from this experience is to NEVER, ever take work issues too seriously and I should set boundaries between my work and my personal life. My migraines began when the issues at work started to arise and I partly blamed myself why things happened. All of my coworkers told me I had nothing to do with what happened and assured me that I didn’t have to feel sorry about it. But I didn’t believe them at first and started hating myself. I couldn’t sleep and my immune system began spiraling down. Now I know better and I never wish for those awful 2 weeks to happen again. I am now reminded that I must take care of my mental and physical health because no matter how good I am with what I do, no matter how I empathize and sympathize with the people that I work with, at the end of the day, I am just an employee - I am not indispensable. If my life’s gonna be discontinued due to work-related stress, the company’s operation’s going to continue regardless of my absence and they’d surely be quick to look for someone to replace my post because the show must go on. So yeah, moving forward, I am putting my own welfare first because as I have said earlier, I don’t wanna die this way. LOL.

Good evening ! ill be reading crackships after the day i just had bc wtf
I finally could get my meds, had some issues regarding that, but my usual pharmacy was nice enough to not care and just handed me my meds for free (im not paying for those things, they don't work at all but i still need to take them)
Im so exhausted, I cant ;-; dont wanna be tomorrow, have a very important call that's useless i have to answer
I KNOW what I'm thinking about kinda sounds bad and is NOT a good idea AT ALL, but I just want to make another attempt, same as last time, just to get some rest for fuck's sake, don't feel rested since September and no news about the psych ward (i think they didn't actually add me to the waiting list, i know it's bad to insinuate that but it's france, everything mental health related is some real shit so it's not that farfetched)
but alas, i cant do that again, because first i like walking, second im waiting for 4 important things (my id, one of the two things i need for 'free' healthcare, the bad i ordered, and finally my doctor's eyes' appointment that i finally have, omg, ill be able to finally have some glasses that fit my eyes, oh do i want them now)
ugh, why am i dealing with so many medical issues, oh yeah i have free healthcare bc france but good lord would it kill them to actually do something that works for once ??????
also, unrelated, someone asked me if i sold or if i knew someone who sold drugs when we were on the bus, that was fun ngl. why would i go do smth illegal when i can be high with my prescribed meds if i dose them right lol
Have a wonderful morning my friend !
goddamn isn't it. so fucking fantastic. that nobody takes mental health seriously unless there's obvious tangible attempts at literal death. that being said you better fuckin not. who will kick the asses of the dickwads managing the psych ward if you don't
obviously I don't expect you to go commit violence lmfao, but like. spite
lol my manager keeps dropping more projects on me. it's like yeah I was confident I could finish those four drawings in time but now there are six. oh you have another one? bitch
I gotta start taking advantage of my medical insurance lol. I switched to a different plan that's ostensibly better, but it takes money out of my paycheck so like. I'm gonna go use that goddamn health insurance. funny how that works. luckily there's a clinic literally one block from my apartment
it's supposed to snow this weekend.... I need to stock up on groceries in case I get locked in (oh no how terrible, having to stay home oh nooooo lmao)
ughhhhh I need to move closer to my friends!!!! I cannot live alone I keep making too much food!! and I'm notoriously bad at eating leftovers!! looking at apartment listings is keeping me alive until I can fuck off out of Seattle
(not that I hate seattle, it's just too far from friends. also it's loud)
hope you have a wonderful and relaxing evening!!

Change Of Plans
Tumblr media
Summary: As the reader and Dean begin their romantic weekend away, mother nature decides to visit the reader a week early and throw off all of their plans. Dean however is intent on making sure the reader feels okay and is still enjoying their time together...
Pairing: Dean x reader
Word Count: 1,500ish
Warnings: language, period talk, nudity, implied planned smutty times
A/N: Because we all know how much it sucks when a period drops by early unannounced. Enjoy!
______
“Of fucking course,” you said as you sat on the toilet at the cabin. You’d glanced down and grumbled, stomping your foot on the ground.
“Y/N? You okay in there?” asked Dean from the other side of the door. You rested your elbows on your knees and put your head in your hands. You let out a shaky breath and heard him crack the door. “Sweetheart?”
“I got my stupid period a stupid week early. I’m never early. This was supposed to be a romantic weekend away and I feel like shit and I’m bloated and I don’t even have supplies,” you said. Dean stepped inside and squatted down beside you. He ran his hand over your head and you peeled your hands away from your face.
“There is no reason this still can’t be a romantic weekend. We don’t need sex for romance or long sweaty hikes or any of that stuff. We will still have a great time. I’m going to run to the store in town and get you some stuff. How about you take a hot shower and I will be back by the time you’re all done?” he said. You nodded and he kissed your forehead as he stood. He waggled a few fingers and he dashed outside, the roar of the impala echoing through the house.
You wadded up some toilet paper in the meantime and were able to go back out to the bedroom. You flew open your bag and groaned. There was a brand new pair of lingerie that would not be used along with two of Dean’s other favorites. It wasn’t like you two regularly dressed up. Dean’s birthday. Valentine’s Day. Your anniversary. Your back from Purgatory anniversary. There were spur of the moment times when you would put on something sexier than your usual stuff under your clothes and tease Dean. There were times like when he wore the tightest, most drool worthy pair of boxer briefs in a pretty green that matched his eyes.
You went over to his duffel and zipped it open, sighing to yourself. Those freaking boxer briefs were sat right on top and he never, never wore them unless he was planning on you taking them off of him. Underneath there were new condoms and lube. A cramp rumbled low across your abdomen and you groaned.
“Why do you have to ruin everything? One nice weekend with my boyfriend with no hunts and no stress and you have to come along early and fuck it all up,” you said. You shut his bag and grabbed sweatpants, a pair of clean plain bikini underwear and his hoodie. A few minutes later you’d washed out your underwear and jeans as best you could and had them going in the washer with some cleaner sprayed on them. You stood under the shower, your cramps stronger now but the heat from the water was helping combat it for the moment. The first day was always the worst.
“Y/N, I’m back,” called Dean. He came into the bathroom after a minute and you looked over to him setting some things down on the counter. He put a package of new pads and tampons down along with the thicker ones for sleeping. A bottle of pain medicine was set next to it before he opened it up. He filled a glass with water and walked over to you. He dropped it in your hand and you popped them in your mouth before they could dissolve, quickly swallowing them down.
“I know we don’t got your heat pack but I found something at the pharmacy I hope works pretty good,” he said.
“Thanks, babe.” You gave him a kiss, sprinkling water droplets all on his face. “You want to come in? We could still have fun with you.”
“You feel like shit, sweetheart. Relax, don’t worry about a thing. I got the heating thing warming up out on the couch. I’m gonna see if that restaurant we were going to go to tonight does delivery,” he said. He pecked a kiss to the tip of your nose and you smiled before he skipped out.
He was still happy, happier than was normal for him. It wasn’t faked or forced. The two of you still had a quiet weekend to yourselves.
By the time you were exiting the bathroom is some comfy clothes, the pain meds had kicked in. The dull throbbing lingered but it wasn’t as bad as it would have been. You found Dean in the open kitchen and family room area. He’d changed into a pair of sweatpants and a long sleeve henley and was humming to himself as he worked at the counter.
“What are ya up to handsome?” you asked. You wrapped your arms around him from behind and ducked your head under his arm.
“I my dear am making us some Boulevardier’s,” he said.
“Oh. We haven’t tried that one yet,” you said.
“I think you’re gonna like it. That little cocktail book you got me for my birthday has come in very, very handy,” he said. You nuzzled his back as he finished up. A burst of pain shot through you and you grunted quietly into his shirt. “Go rest, sweetheart. I’ll bring this right over.”
You nodded and went over to the giant couch. Dean had shoved the ottoman up against the jutted out portion of the couch giving the two of you the equivalent of a king sized bed to sprawl on. You crawled onto it and picked up the large rectangular blanket-like pad with a cord that was sat on top. Instantly you felt the heat coming off of it. You laid back and rested it over your lower abdomen, warmth creeping into your skin. You sighed and shut your eyes, Dean quietly taking a spot beside you. He put his arm over your shoulder but didn’t try to move you. He knew for whatever strange reason you needed to be still, let the heat burrow deep down and ease the pain for a bit before you could shift comfortably.
“I fucking love this thing,” you mumbled against his shoulder fifteen minutes later.
“Yeah?” he asked. “I can feel it on my leg. Feels nice and toasty. I bet we can use it for when your feet get cold in the winter too.”
“You’re a saint, Dean Winchester,” you said. You scooted closer to him and opened your eyes, Dean smiling as he sat there with you, one arm resting against the couch end and holding a glass, the other keeping you safe and close. “This works way better than my heating pad at home.”
“Good. I can’t imagine what a period feels like. I know how tough you are. It’s gotta suck.”
“You get used to it,” you said. “Can I try my drink now?”
“Here you go,” he said as he swapped his glass for the other one on the end table beside him. He handed it to you and you took a sip.
“Oh I like that. This one is on the make again list for sure,” you said.
“Hey, watch this,” said Dean. He picked up a remote and hit a button, the fireplace under the tv coming to life.
“Mmm, it’s gonna get so warm in here you might have to take off your shirt,” you said.
“If you promise to wear it to bed I will,” he teased. You sat together quietly, the mixture of medicine, heat and alcohol lulling you into relaxation. The cramps were still there and your stomached was bloated but it was tolerable, faint echoes in the back of your mind. “You awake sweetheart?”
You peeled open your eyes and turned up to face him. You tried to get a kiss but you couldn’t arch much farther without moving. He bent his head down and did it for you, lingering his lips against yours. There was nothing behind it. No sexiness. No desire for more. Just slow and gentle and warmth.
“Let me know whenever you get hungry and we’ll order dinner,” he said. “Oh and they have chocolate icebox pie. We are getting minimum of two for dessert.”
“Sounds yummy,” you said. You lifted your head up when you heard a rumble. The sky was pretty dark for only four in the afternoon and big fat drops of rain were coming down fast. “That storm got here quicker than they said it would.”
“Doesn’t really matter. I don’t plan on leaving this place again,” said Dean. He rubbed his hand gently over your core and you smiled. “Pain better?”
“Much more manageable,” you said. “Thank you. For taking care of me today.”
“You don’t gotta thank me for that. It’s my job,” he said. He kissed your forehead and shut his eyes. “I wouldn’t mind a quick cuddle nap before dinner though.”
“That sounds absolutely perfect, Dean. Just what I need right now.”
“Me too, sweetheart. Me too.”

Danger Days Chapter 7: I Never Told You What I Do For A Living
Tumblr media
summary:  Joel isn't looking good after the recent run-in at the university. Ellie and you have to do everything you can to stop the bleeding and save his sorry ass.
word count: 2,648
content warnings: gore, hurt/comfort, cursing, unconscious Joel, general canon-typical violence, you know the drill.
note: this was so exhausting to write lol
read on ao3 here / masterlist
Tumblr media
“I think we're safe.”
You look over your shoulder, back to the stone walls that lined the university. The three of you narrowly escaping it and you wanted to scream, yell, throw a fucking tantrum at the situation but you held it in. “For now,” you replied spitefully. “C’mon, kiddo, we should put more distance between us and them.”
“How is he holding up,” Ellie asks you tensely,
“If I’m being honest, I won’t know until we find somewhere safe.”
“You gotta tell me what to do,” she was beginning to sound more and more scared as your back got coated with Joel’s blood. What little patching up you did on Joel wasn't holding up, and wouldn't for much longer.
“Keep an eye out for where we can hold down for a couple nights. I gotta watch Texas here and make sure he doesn't fucking die on me.” Literally.
Ellie looks over at Joel, “Let's go.”
The two of you took off, Whiskey sensing your agitation and being the gentle beast he is, didn't jolt around too much. Speeding as best you could've in the situation you were tied down in, you suggested to Ellie that it would be nice to find somewhere rather far away from the university, far from trouble. She agreed, not wanting to run into whatever group that was again.
After a couple miles, safety seemed within grasp.
“Look, over there,” Ellie points off to the distance. You can see it, just barely. A shopping mall.
Like everything else in the area, it looks abandoned. Even by infected standards. It’s quiet and private, therefore it’s perfect.
Upon further gazing at the storefront, you recognize the banner. “Is that Swirls? The yogurt place?”
It takes you a bit off guard, recognizing something familiar from the time before, but for some reason it brings you a tiny bit of hope. Maybe.
“It says ‘Colorado Mountain Plaza’ over there,” Ellie points out.
“Looks safe enough.”
“Thank fuck.”
“Language.”
“Sorry,” she apologizes. Then sarcastically adds on, “Mom.”
You snort at her, shaking your head. Although she teased, you’ve come to enjoy the way she called you mom, but those were thoughts for another day.
Approaching the yogurt bar, Ellie jumps off Callus and reaches for the garage type door and lifts it. It creaks loudly which puts the two of you on edge but no signs of infected ring out. Joel does grumble a bit over your shoulder, likely at the sound of metal grinding on metal.
“Careful, Ellie.”
She waves you off then ducks beneath the door, disappearing from your sight. You hear a muffled ‘it’s clear’ from the other side as she lifts it up again to its full height. She leads Callus in by his bit and you follow with Whiskey.
“I’m gonna need your help, El.”
You try not to jostle around too much as Ellie comes close to your side, “What do you want me to do?”
After taking a couple moments explaining how to safely pull him down, you adjust yourself on Whiskey. Side-saddling him, you put your arms around Joel, “He is not gonna like this one bit.”
“Damn straight he’s not,” Ellie mumbles.
“On three.”
Sliding down Whiskey, you pulled Joel with you and with her help, the two of you managed to get him down with potentially only minor bruising. Laying Joel on the ground as gently as possible, he groaned harshly at the adjustment. “I know, cowboy, I know,” you said to him softly.
Checking over him one last time, Ellie looks up at you. “Now what?”
“Now,” you sighed. “We try to stave off an infection. The bar itself wasn't clean by any means. And you see this,” you pointed to where the puncture wound was. “This is where his large intestine is.”
“Okay,” she shrugs. “What does that mean?”
You hesitate for a moment, mouth agape. “It's where food gets absorbed and gets-,” you trail off.
Ellie looks at you for you to continue.
You sigh, “The biggest problem is his poop okay? Basically if the bacteria from his intestines, specifically his colon leaks out into his body then we're going to have much bigger problems than the wound itself.”
“Gross.”
Chuckling, “Yeah. Imagine how he's gonna feel if his own shit kills him.”
Ellie lightens up just a little at your off-colored joke. “He would be really pissed.”
“I'd argue maybe even a tiny bit of embarrassment.”
The two of you lightly laugh, both just as drained as the other. “How do you know all this stuff anyways?”
“I was a field medic with FEDRA, remember? Didn't last long there, after I lost my finger but I picked up a thing or two from the other nurses.” You shrug, you never found out much about the soldiers you aided, if they survived or not but maybe that wasn’t the best thing to tell her right now.
You point towards the metal garage door, “Go lock that up for me will ya?”
She gets up and does it, using a padlock to secure it shut. “Think there's anything out in the mall?”
“Possibly,” you groan as you get up off the ground. “I'll have a look around.”
“No, you stay with him, I can go,” Ellie offers. For a moment you want to argue with her, you know what you're looking for, but you see it in her eyes. Just a hint. A hint of uncertainty and fear. “You know how to keep him alive.”
It takes you a second but it clicks, Ellie doesn't want to see Joel like this. “Okay,” you relent. “I saw a map on the way in, I think there's a pharmacy on the second floor.”
“What do you need,” she asks, shifting on her feet.
You rapidly tell her everything within reason - needles, thread, alcohol, gloves, anything and everything that could possibly help the situation within reason to help the fucking dying man laying in front of you. “I'd be grateful if you found a saline bag or a IV or, fuck, even a staple gun but that’s bein’ too damn hopeful. Whatever you find, just bring it back alive. Take your bow.”
She nods as she picks it up along with her backpack and you give her a tight hug. “There and back, Ellie.”
“There and back, promise,” she says, her words slightly muffled by the embrace.
She backs away and opens her mouth to say something but decides against it. Instead mumbling a couple words of encouragement to herself as she leaves. Turning on her heels and lifting the gate separating the shop from the mall with little to no hesitation, Ellie is gone before you know it.
As the metal slams behind her you sigh, listening to the sounds of her locking the gate behind her. Faintly hear her talking to herself. You chew on your bottom lip, thinking of what to do next.
Well, for starters, it would be awfully nice if the man of the hour didn't fucking bleed to death before Ellie comes back, you thought.
Taking off to your left, you scoured behind the bar looking for something, anything, that would help. The shop itself looks picked over so whatever is here isn’t going to be much. Finding nothing but nearly empty drawers until you find a roll of duct tape. Nice.
You walked back to Joel and dropped to your knees, taking off your backpack. Lifting his shirt up to see the poorly done bandages you had applied earlier were thoroughly soaked in sickly copper tinged blood. “Shit,” you whispered.
“Okay, Texas, this shit is gonna hurt like a bitch but you're just gonna have to suck it up and deal with it.”
You took a moment listening to Joel’s uneven breathing, the moans of pain. Hoping to hear some kind of response from him but received nothing from the man. Nodding to yourself, you went to work. “Okay, I can do this,” you mumble to yourself. “Nothin’ you haven’t done before.”
Reaching into your backpack you pulled out some fresh gauze, water, and the bottle of alcohol you were genuinely hoping to drink one day but it is what it is. Next, you grabbed the duct tape and pulled off some strips and lined them up, making a square patch.
Lifting his shirt, you removed the front bandage from his stomach. A slight gag came up from the smell but you suppressed it, allowing yourself to dissociate from the situation and work mindlessly. Grabbing the water bottle, you rinsed your hands then his stomach, repeating the same motion with alcohol, and used one of the extra shirts you had in your backpack to dry him off. Blood still seeped from the wound but you used the gauze to seal the puncture then covering it with the duct tape square.
One side down, now the other.
“Hold tight,” you told him as you pushed him onto his side. His back looked just as bad as his front but you grabbed another spare shirt and shoved it under his head, adjusting him to make him lay on his stomach in an indirect way to put some pressure on the front.
Joel groaned in pain at the movement, you tried to be gentle but he was not being a rather good patient. “I know, I know, I'm sorry,” you whispered.
You got to working on his wound, doing the same as what you did on his stomach. Rinse, disinfect, gauze, patch. Once the duct tape square went on, you sighed heavily looking down at yourself.
Truly a sight of horror. Your hands and clothes were soaked in Joel's blood. Blinking once, then twice, turning your hands over, seeing the glistening and the flakes peeling off from long since dried blood, you rose and reached for more clothes to change into.
Discarding the stained ones save for your coat. It was going to get colder, winter was soon. Shit, winter was already fucking here, you recalled the first hints of it when snow started falling earlier. It would be best to not throw away the only thing that would give you warmth in the coming days.
After you changed, you thought you should also change Joel. His dirtied clothes would only worsen his situation if any germs or bacteria got into his injury. You approached Callus and got Joel's pack, scouring around until you found a suitable shirt, flannel, and coat for him.
“This is going to embarrass me more than you,” you told the unconscious Joel.
If you were being honest with yourself, this was not the way you wanted to undress him but those were thoughts for another day. One where he survives this whole fuckin’ ordeal.
You got to work on him, doing everything humanly possible to be careful. Once the bloodied clothes were off and fresh new ones were on, you were going to take one hell of a break.
Adjusting the coat back onto his body, you laid him down gently as before, resting his head on a makeshift pillow. Now the only thing you could do is wait for Ellie.
She’d been gone for an hour tops, nothing to worry about just yet. Maybe the pharmacy was a bust and she’s looking around for first aid kits, you think. It wouldn’t do you any good to worry just yet.
The two horses start chittering behind you. “Looks like we got a couple of chatty birds over here,” you raise a brow at them.
Callus neighs a bit loudly at you and before you say anything you hear a very loud voice. “Hey! I hear the fuckin’ horse behind here! Help me get this open,” then the locked gate started rattling. Those fucking people must have followed you all through the fucking snow.
“Oh, shit,” you curse and immediately start rummaging through your things to reload your empty guns. Your hands were shaking, making the reloading just that much more difficult. You looked up once you heard another voice.
“Yeah, yeah, we’ll get the door. You guys keep searchin’, I don’t wanna get ambushed.”
No shit, I don’t either, you think.
You try to make haste and get your shit together. After you top off with whatever remaining bullets you have available, you corral the horses against the wall and drag Joel behind the bar to shield him from any debris or accidental fire.
Just as you finish you hear a loud bang, someone kicking the door in frustration. “Fuckin’ door!”
You couldn’t help but smile. Good door.
“Get the kid, take the woman, and find the old man. I’ll go for the door,” the same voice shouts.
Then another voice further away, “Shit! There’s someone out here.”
Ellie.
“Wait, shit, I think it’s starting to give,” the first one shouts as the metal door begins to creak and whine.
You decide to do something incredibly stupid but before you could talk yourself out of it, you dive and lay down next to the door. It begins to lift and you hear how the men start to cheer. Just as it gets high enough you take aim and shoot at them, unloading a healthy mix of lead, anger, and frustration into them.
Just as the door slams back down with a loud clang, you hear two soft thuds as their bodies drop.
“Oh fuck this, I’m comin’ Ellie,” you say as you get up and begin lifting the metal door. Just as it slides high enough for you to get under, you slam it shut behind you as you run forward and take cover behind some metal crates that were conveniently positioned just outside the yogurt place. As you do, you see a flash of pink and white to your left as Ellie comes running next to you.
“It’s the same guys from the university,” she says breathlessly. Her freckled face is etched with frustration, matching yours. It’s like none of you could catch a break, catch a breath.
You put a hand on hers, “We got this, sweetheart.”
Her hand squeezes yours and the two of you start fighting back. Fighting for survival, each other, for Joel, fighting for the sake of seeing another sunrise together.
A bullet whizzes overhead and hits the wall, “We got them pinned down over there! Finish them!”
You smile at the men’s clear underestimation of the two of you. Chuckling, “You go left, I’ll go right. Meet here in say ten with dinner?”
“Sounds good to me,” she bumps her fist with yours. With a nod, she’s off. You, the same.
Trying to take it easy, you found yourself trying to be stealthy by using the hunting knife Gustavo had gifted you months ago. It was hard between the harsh winter wind and lowering visibility with the ongoing snowstorm outside that was leaking through the broken roof of the mall. It possibly hurt more than helped.
Two gunshots rang out on the opposite side of the mall than a shout, “Shit! Infected!”
“I’ll take that as a no for dinner,” you mumble to yourself.
You pick up a couple bottles and throw them at the men who were hunting you, screams and clicks followed the noise until you heard more gunshots until silence. Figuring it would save you on ammunition if they just fought and killed each other. You followed this same sequence until there was complete silence, only for it to be broken by Ellie.
“That’s it! If anyone is alive don’t even think about surprising me! You’ll end up like your friends. You hear me? Yeah? Yeah.”
You laugh a little loudly, tears welling up. Just for a moment you let yourself reel in the moment that the two of you fucked up those people on your own. “C’mon kid, let’s save that old bastard of ours,” you shout at her.

The 4 Times Luke Got Sick + The 1 Time He Got Julie Sick
Pairing: Julie x Alive!Luke (college AU)
Word Count: 2.9k
Warnings: light swearing, non-fatal illness
Summary: Luke was always getting sick. It was probably the worst things about being roommates with him, Julie decided. That, and when they’d first moved into their dorm Freshman year of college he’d tried to hit on all her friends. It seemed like every year the poor guy went through at least one serious bout of illness that Julie would have to practically nurse him back to health from.
A/N: I got 2 anon requests for sick!Juke this week, one for a College Roommates AU where Luke constantly gets sick and Julie takes care of him and another where they’re friends and neighbors but have crushes on each other that don’t come to light until they both get sick together feat. Mothering Rose. I decided to combine them since they had a similar theme, I hope that’s alright! As per usual, let me know what you think and send me a message if you’d like to be added to my taglist! Also, I am taking requests right now so feel free to send those in!

___
1 - Freshman Year
“Juuuulie,” Luke called from his bedroom.
“Whaaaat?” Julie called back from her own room, making no attempt to get up from her bed.
“Can you come here so we can stop yelling?” He whined and she rolled her eyes but rolled out of her bed unceremoniously.
Given the coed nature of the dorms, they were each provided a small separate bedroom connected with a combined living room space that currently could use a good vacuuming, she noted as she walked through it before pausing at Luke’s door. It was only about three months into the semester and while Luke and Julie had become fast friends through their love of music, she hadn’t really been in his room before.
She raised her fist to give a hesitant knock, not really sure what the protocol was.
“You can come in,” he laughed but for the first time in their conversation, Julie noticed that his voice seemed a little off.
When she stepped into the room she immediately knew why. Luke lay in bed, slightly propped up by his pillow. She immediately noticed how red his face and nose, in particular, looked and the pile of used tissues next to the bed.
“Woah, dude, are you sick?” Julie exclaimed, immediately taking a step back in an attempted to put as much distance between herself and the sick boy as possible.
“Yeah,” he croaked sheepishly, “Sorry, I guess I should’ve warned you.”
“Ya think?” She scoffed, crossing her arms over her chest but smirking to let him know she wasn’t that mad about it. “Is there anything I can do?”
“Um, yeah, actually. I was gonna ask if you could run down to the market and get me some chicken noodle soup?”
Julie nodded, happy to be able to help her sick friend.
“Sure! Is there any medication I can pick up from the pharmacy for you or anything?” She offered but he shook his head, pulling open the top drawer of his bedside table revealing that it was full of various medicines.
“I, uh, came prepared,” he said with a self-deprecating chuckle. “My immune system is pretty shit.”
Julie nodded.
“I better get you that soup then, huh?” She said kindly, starting to feel awkward lingering in the doorway.
“My wallet is in my jacket pocket,” Luke offered, pointing to the coat hanging in his closet.
Julie nodded in silent thanks as she pocketed the piece of leather, closing the door on her way out. Despite the sunshine, it was a short but chilly walk to the campus market, which was fortunately only a couple of blocks away from their residence hall. She located the soup fairly quickly but stopped to look through the tea options, grabbing a box of peppermint and chamomile tea bags. The check-out process was fast and she was back in her dorm only a few minutes later.
Before even taking off her coat or slipping off her shoes, she put the soup in the microwave and started up her electric kettle. While she was waiting she then busied herself with hanging up her coat in her own closet and leaving her shoes in their designated spot by the door.
“What are you doing out there, Molina?” Luke groaned from his room when the kettle started whistling.
She quickly switched it off, bustling around the designated “kitchen” area of their dorm for a mug to start steeping the peppermint tea. No sooner than she placed the teabag into the mug had the microwaved beeped, signaling that the soup was ready. Bowl in one hand and mug in the other, Julie pushed the door open with her shoulder, slowly stepping into the room in an attempt not to spill either of the hot liquids in her hands.
She gingerly set the mug on a cleared space on Luke’s desk before handing him the chicken noodle soup.
“What’s that?” He asked, gesturing to the mug with his spoon before eating some of the soup.
“It’s peppermint tea,” she answered factually. “My mom always makes it for me when I’m sick, it supposed to help with congestion and should soothe your throat.”
“You’re the best, Molina,” Luke said graciously, slurping another mouthful of soup.
“Damn right I am!” Julie laughed, “Let me know if you need anything else, I’ll be in my room.”
___
2 - Sophomore Year
Julie wasn’t entirely sure why she hadn’t anticipated this. Maybe she’d hoped that all the elderberry and echinacea tea she’d made him drink last year had actually helped his immune system, but nope. November had rolled around and with it, cold season and cold season meant that Luke would undoubtedly get sick. He wasn’t lying, his immune system really was shit. This year was worse though. While last year it had been a series of bad colds, this year it was the flu.
She’d found out when he’d vomited in the middle of a rehearsal with the band they’d formed at the end of the previous year with two other guys they’d met in one of their music classes.
She’d been keeping an eye on him all day as he’d been shivering a lot and seemed especially pale but she had figured the boy knew his immune system better than anyone else and would say something if he was feeling sick. Obviously not.
“Oh my gosh, Luke! Are you okay?” She gasped, rushing over to rub his back soothingly as he bent over the trash can in the spare music room they’d occupied for rehearsal.
“Yeah, yeah, I’m fine,” he said, waving her off as he stood back up with the intention of picking his guitar back up.
However, Julie stopped him, placing her hand against his forehead with a frown.
“You have a fever.” She said disapprovingly and he sighed.
“It’s fine Molina, we gotta practice.”
“Nuh-uh.” She insisted sternly, sticking out an arm to hold him in place. “You are not gonna get the rest of us sick. I’m driving you to the campus health center and then we’re going home.”
Luke huffed and rolled his eyes but relented, moving to slide his electric into its case and grab his jacket.
“Whatever you say, boss.”
“We’ll see you guys later,” Julie sent Alex and Reggie an exasperated smile before following the boy out.
The campus health center confirmed Julie’s suspicions, it was the flu. They picked up his prescription medicine at the campus pharmacy next door before heading back to their shared dorm.
“Will you make me soup?” Luke pleaded as Julie made sure he was settled comfortably in his bed, his lip stuck out in an irrefutable pout. “And Mama Molina’s special tea?”
Julie smiled at the nickname which Luke had coined last year as Julie often referenced her mother when taking care of the seemingly constantly sick boy. The name had stuck and then been made official when the guys had visited her over the summer break and Luke had accidentally called her mother it. Rose Molina fell in love with it instantly and now Luke, Alex, and Reggie all exclusively referred to her as such.
“Of course,” she said, rolling her eyes lightly. There was nothing special about Mama Molina’s tea, it was just a cup of peppermint tea with a little bit of honey but it had seemed to work wonders for Luke last year and he much preferred it to the cocktail of cough syrup and sinus pills he’d normally take.
As she delivered the steaming soup and tea, Julie prayed that her superior immune system and flu shot would keep her safe from contracting her roommate’s illness while she took care of him. Still, she tried her best to keep her distance while keeping an eye on him.
She started him on a new Netflix series in an attempt to keep him from going stir crazy in the dorm while she was in class. She picked up all his missing work and made sure he had plenty of soup and tea (peppermint in the daytime to clear up congestion and soothe his cough, and chamomile in the evening to help him sleep).
“You’re too good for me, Molina.” He said sleepily as she tucked him into bed one night.
“I know,” she responded with a smirk, patting his cheek lightly before leaving, turning off the light as she went.
___
3 - Junior Year
Luke’s annual illness came later the next year. All November and December Julie was on high alert, ready at a moment’s notice to grab a can of chicken noodle soup from their cupboards and start up the kettle, but the moment never came. They’d finally moved out of the dorms this year, now living in an off-campus apartment with Alex and Reggie, which meant they had more room for Julie to store her supply of soup and tea and she had two backup caregivers.
When the new year rolled around and Luke still hadn’t shown any signs of getting sick, Julie had remarked,
“Maybe you’ve finally built up your immune system enough.”
The next week Luke was calling for her from his room across the hall.
It was the flu again but this time it was easier.
Julie, Alex, and Reggie took turns taking care of their sick roommate while the others were in classes, though everyone agreed that Julie had to be in charge of the tea. Despite Julie’s insistence that it was easy to make, Alex and Reggie refused after their first attempts had been scorned by Luke who insisted they did it wrong.
“You are such a drama queen,” she’d said, rolling her eyes at the boy as she delivered the tea.
“You’re the best, Molina.” He’d said as he took a sip, ignoring her comment on his dramatics.
“Shut up and drink your tea.” Julie laughed, brushing off the compliment as she turned on Netflix, taking a seat on the other side of the living room.
___
4 - Senior Year
After what all their friends had insisted was years of tension and pining, Luke and Julie got together just in time for Luke to catch pneumonia. It was the worst virus Luke had caught yet and Julie was silently glad that their relationship was new enough that they hadn’t kissed yet. Judging by Luke’s state, she hoped she never got pneumonia.
He had a fever for the first few days and Julie, Alex, and Reggie did their best to keep their distance, only coming into his room to deliver soup, tea, water, and medicine. Once the fever had disappeared, Luke was allowed to rejoin the rest, though only from a distance. The four roommates spending the afternoons in the living room together to keep the boy company as he laid on the couch. Still, even with the fever gone Luke spent the next week and a half nearly hacking up his lungs every time he coughed and with stabbing chest pains.
“You’re not eating your soup,” Julie noticed one afternoon as she did her homework on the opposite side of the living room, Alex and Reggie both in class.
“I’m not hungry,” Luke whined, pushing the bowl farther away on the coffee table.
Julie frowned, getting up from her armchair to perch across from him on the coffee table, picking up the bowl.
“Babe, you’ve gotta eat,” Julie said pointedly and Luke frowned at the term of endearment, knowing she was using it to convince him to do what she said. “The doctor said you’d have a loss of appetite, but you need to eat.”
“C’mon, open up,” she instructed, holding out a spoonful of soup.
Luke huffed, glaring at his girlfriend but opening his mouth anyway, allowing her to spoon-feed him.
“Wow, I did not think Luke could get any needier,” Reggie remarked as he stepped into the apartment, Alex coming in behind him.
“Don’t get used to that,” he added, “Cause I will not feed you while Julie’s in class.”
Julie laughed, ruffling her boyfriend’s hair affectionately before feeding him another spoonful.
“I don’t deserve you, Molina,” he said affectionately between bites.
“Don’t you forget it, Patterson,” she smiled.
___
+ 1 Year Later
After graduation in May, Julie and the Phantoms released their first full album and began their first tour in the fall thanks to the large following they’d accrued through their posts on YouTube since sophomore year and the success of their album. They’d had been touring for a couple of months before they finally took a break, just in time for Christmas.
Alex, Reggie, and Julie had all made plans to spend the break with their families, Reggie staying with his older sister and their family and Alex and Julie with their respective parents. However, Luke’s parents had found themselves on a business trip out of the country which is how the boy ended up spending his first Christmas at the Molina’s. Ray and Rose had been more than happy to have the boy stay with them when Julie explained the situation, though Ray had insisted on a strict policy of the two never being alone in the same room before Rose reminded him that Julie and Luke had been living together for five years and were grown adults.
The Molinas and Luke had a lovely Christmas together but when Julie woke up two days later she wished they had instituted her dad’s No Alone Time policy. She groggily made her way to the kitchen, rifling through the pantry for the peppermint tea to soothe her sore throat and hopefully clear up her sinuses. Before she could get very far though, her mom walked into the kitchen, immediately catching on to what she was doing. Julie rarely reached for tea on her own, hot chocolate being her hot beverage of preference, so Rose knew something must be up when she found her daughter rifling through the tea shelf.
“Go lay on the couch, Niña,” she insisted, ushering her daughter out of the kitchen, “I’ll take care of this.”
Julie did as she said, finding her favorite blanket from the basket in the corner and cuddling up on the couch. Her mom came in a few minutes later with her favorite mug in hand, setting it down on the coffee table in front of Julie.
“Don’t burn yourself, it’s hot,” Rose warned, placing a soft kiss on the top of her daughter’s head and patting her shoulder gently before returning to the kitchen to start on breakfast for the family.
It was only a couple of minutes later that Luke stumbled down the stairs calling her name.
“Juuuulie?” he pouted as he made his way into the living room. “Will you make me some tea?”
Her eyes went wide with the realization of how she’d gotten sick as she clutched her own mug of tea in her hands.
“So this is your fault,” she gasped, voice thick due to the congestion.
“What?” Luke asked, tilting his head in confusion, the fogginess in his brain from having just woken up and being sick preventing him from connecting the dots quickly.
“You got me sick.” She accused, narrowing her eyes at her boyfriend who’s eyes widened in response.
“Oh my gosh, seriously?” He asked, concern immediately filling his voice. “I’m sorry Jules.”
“I haven’t gotten sick in over four years and all it takes is one germy kiss from you,” she whined and Luke barked out a laugh before wincing at the pain it caused his throat.
“Well, the good news is we can recover together,” he said, plopping down on the couch and snuggling into her side.
“Luke, honey, do you need a blanket?” Rose asked as she returned to the living room, another cup of tea in hand, the woman obviously having overheard them from the kitchen. Luke nodded sheepishly and Rose smiled, setting the tea down in front of him and crossing the room to grab a blanket.
“Thank you, Mama Molina,” he said graciously, wrapping himself in the fleece material and picking up his tea.
“Anything to get the two of you better before you have to go back on tour,” she said, patting both their shoulders lovingly before going back to her cooking.
Julie groaned at the reminder. They were supposed to start back on the road in a week, but with Luke’s track record of illnesses, there was no knowing how long either of them would be sick this time.
Fortunately, thanks to a diet of Rose’s homemade chicken noodle soup and tea remedy as well as medication, Julie and Luke were feeling better in a couple of days.
“I’d always known, but now I really see where you got your nursing skills from,” Luke remarked on the first morning he’d woken up able to breathe through his nose.
Julie grinned.
“You sure are lucky to have the Molina women in your life,” she teased.
“Damn right.” He nodded sincerely.

May I have a request a finding out that the MC finds out that they are pregnant with RFA +V, V's is with Lucy?
yes, i love this prompt! however for V, I’d rather have Lucy still be their adopted daughter-changing the way she came to be their child doesn’t sit right with me, I hope that’s okay :)
I’ll use she/her pronouns for MC, but if you’d like me to change them then feel free to let me know <3
YOOSUNG:
* Knowing how much of an over-excited mess he’d become at the news, MC waited patiently for him to be done with work for the day, come back home, take a shower and finally come to flop down on the couch besides her, leaning his head on her shoulder.
* This was their usual routine, finding some time before bed to talk about their day, plans for tomorrow and what not. MC gently ran a hand through Yoosung’s hair, toying with the blonde curls. “So...I’ve got some news” she started, biting at her lip.
* Yoosung hummed, already dozing off on MC’s shoulder, blinking back the sleepingess as MC nudged him off her shoulder. “Baby come on, I think you’ll want to be awake to hear this” she laughed, teasing him as he stifled a yawn.
* “You’re saying there’s something more important than a full 8 hours of sleep?” he asked, fully aware of the irony-how in college he’d go nights without sleeping a minute to game, to the present, where he can’t function properly without a minimum couple hours of sleep before work.
* MC hummed, pretending to think as she tapped a finger to her chin. “Let’s see...would knowing you’re about to become a dad be important enough?”
* She smiled, raising a brow as she saw the range of emotions running themselves over Yoosung’s face. Shock, confusion, excitedness-his mouth agape, eyes wide and teary.
* “You-what-we-who-we-baby?!” he jumped off the couch, pointing to MC’s stomach as she bit her cheek to contain her giggles at his over-exaggerated reaction.
* “Yes Yoosung”, she affirmed, nodding down to her own belly, “there’s a baby right there. How...how do you feel about that?” despite the shaky grin on his face MC was still hesitant, worried how Yoosung might feel once this excitement wears off. Sure, they ocassionally discussed future plans, but never to great lengths, and it’s normal to freak out in such a situation and-
* “Are you kidding me?! We-MC we’ll be parents! Omigosh I’m-” he fell to his knees, leaning forward to lean his head into MC’s lap, his hands on her thighs gripping tight.
* Gingerly he looked up, gently bringing a palm to rest on her lower abdomen.
* “Hi baby” he whispered, not caring if the baby was old enough to hear him through the womb or not. He’d be sure to study all that later. “I’m-I’m your dad. I can’t wait to meet you buddy...”
* Honestly....both he and MC teared up at that. Neither of them really expected it, but they both couldn’t wait to be parents.
ZEN:
* MC had taken a pharmacy test that came back negative, but her period was still running late. Confused, she decided to book an appointment to her gynecologist as soon as possible, worried what the implications of this may be. If not pregnancy, then what...?
* Zen had come into the room the moment she’d been on the phone, booking an appointment for the following week. He raised a brow as he heard her, but she simply smiled, holding up a finger as a cue for him to wait a moment.
* “Babe, what’s up? Everything alright?” he asked as soon as she hung up, coming close to wrap his arms around her waist.
* “Mm, yeah just, my period’s late and uhm-” she hesitated, unsure of how to continue. Quite frankly, she wasn’t sure of what was going on either, so how was she to explain it to Zen?
* She felt his grip around her waist tighten, his breath hitching.
* “Wait-does that mean-could you be...?”
* She turned around to face him, not surprised to find pure glee on his face-they’d discussed their plans for the future before, and they both had agreed they’d wanted to start a family together, just never decided on the when.
* MC smiled, running her fingertips across Zen’s knuckles. “I don’t know. I really don’t, but I guess we’ll find out once I go to the doctor” she shrugged.
* Zen hummed, leaning his head atop her shoulder. “Next week right? Tell me the time, I’ll make sure to make time to come with you.”
* “Wha-Babe you don’t have to-” MC started before Zen cut her off with a quick peck on the lips and a wink as he twisted her around to face him.
* “Shush. Whatever the doctor tells you, I’ll be there with you, and we’ll face it together. Always” he said, his smile softening.
* And as a man of his word, Zen was there with her at MC’s appointment, holding her hand as her gynecologist took an ultrasound probe and looked knowingly at the screen, turning to face MC and Zen with a smile.
* “Congratulations you two”, they smiled, both Zen and MC turning to the doctor with wide eyes, “you’re about 5 weeks pregnant!”
* Now, if anyone asks, he won’t admit it, but did Zen jump up and down in that examination room, screaming and giggling like a kid? Did he cry and lean down to kiss MC, who was currently stuck with an ultrasound probe inside her and a little unable to cheer as excitedly with him? Did he have to clear his throat and apologise to the doctor who had to hide their laughter behind a cough?
* Yes. Yes he did.
* He’ll talk to MC’s belly non-stop, will be there for EVERY appointment and ultrasound, will cry when he first hears his baby’s heartbeat or sees the first 3D ultrasound. He’ll do every single bidding of MC, from weird cravings to holding her when the morning sickness hits, just 100/10 the best partner and father.
* Plus the first thing he teaches his kid is to never ever call Jumin ‘uncle’ :’)
JAEHEE:
* Okay listen, there’s a little backstory here that I can add thanks to my current weeks of working at an ObGyn and Fertility clinic;
* So Jaehee and MC, after establishing their coffee shop and having it run well for a few years, decided they were ready to take the next step and start a family together. However, there were many limitations when they tried to adopt a child, so they researched other options, and found that a single woman, can in fact, receive a sperm donor and an IUI (In Utero Insemination-just fancy terminology for ‘putting the sperm in the womb with a tube!), without too much of a hussle.
* So they opted for this option. They sat through the paperwork together, mutually decided who it’d be who’d try and get pregnant-they both had no quailms about it so they kind of decided over rock-paper scissors lmao, and so the process began.
* However, even with modern day medicine, pregnancy in such means isn’t 100% guaranteed; in fact, the chances are about a little over 40%. So after the procedure the two worried, hoped luck would find them and they’d be able to start their own little family.
* A couple weeks after the procedure, Jaehee was manning the coffee shop whilst MC took a break back home to come take over the evening shift later on. It was a quiet day, not many people in the shop save for a few of their regulars and a couple friends, their cat Cocoa who’d now become the cafe’s mascot strolling around like she owned the place.
* Everything was peaceful...until MC came running, the bells over the front door jingling manically as she slammed it open and ran to the counter Jaehee had been standing at.
* MC panted, leaned on the counter to catch her breath as Jaehee fretted over her, a million worst-case-scenarios running through her brain.
* “MC? What-what’s wrong, what happene-”
* Before she could speak MC lifted her head, a huge grin on her face. “Jaehee. Baby we did it! We’re pregnant!”
* Jaehee was, for the first time in forever, at a loss for words, her lips slack, her hands dropping to her side as her brain short-wired. “We-we are? You took a test? You?”
* MC nodded along to Jaehee’s line of half-questioning half-realising, laughing as tears welled up in Jaehee’s eyes. She ran across the counter to MC, meeting her half-way into a crushing hug as they laughed and cried together.
* “We’ll have a baby” Jaehee whispered into the crook of MC’s neck, the wetness of her tears pooling into the cusp of skin.
* “Yeah. Yeah we will Jae” MC nodded along, stroking soothing circles into Jaehee’s back.
* They were lost in their own little world...before the sound of clapping brought them back to the present.
* Of course the few customers in the shop had heard and seen everything, and both their regulars and their friends were eagerly cheering them on, some even whistling and yelling ‘congratulations’ at the two who were now a blushing mess.
* Even Cocoa the cat came by to meow at them, as if to say ‘eh, whatever, congrats I guess’ which was....probably the nicest thing this cat has ever done for them lmao
* And that’s the story of how their coffee shop had now become famous for the ‘super mom duo’ that runs it hehe
JUMIN:
* If you think this man wouldn’t get emotional over finding out he’ll be a father you’re a) WRONG b) REALLY WRONG and c) GOTTA PLAY HIS ROUTE ALL OVER AGAIN
* Will he be scared? YES! He’ll be stressed, but listen-it’s probably not for the reasons you’re thinking.
* When MC announces her pregnancy to him, it’s not over a candle-lit dinner or whilst lounging on the couch. Nah, this man is observant af, especially when it comes to the person he loves.
* He noticed her coming home with a pharmacy bag after work and frowned, instantly wondering what its contents were.
* “MC, you seemed in perfect health today, is something wrong? Should I call a doctor?”
* MC was quick to reassure him that no, she was fine, but was hesitant when explaining that her period was running late, worried how he’ll take the news-sure, they were married, but they never really explicitly discussed the potential of having kids and a family, she didn’t know how Jumin would react to it.
* “I see” he nodded, “You did seem worried, I was hoping you’d eventually talk to me about it. So you’re taking a pregnancy test? If it’s alright with you, can I wait outside for you to tell me the results?”
* If anyone else were to hear the conversation, it might seem like Jumin was cold, distant even. But MC could tell the little incantations in his voice, how his eyes gleamed, his mouth twitching at the corners-he was hesitant, yes, but also excited. And to be honest...so was she.
* So Jumin waited, his arms folded and foot tapping anxiously on the floor as he leaned on the wall right next to the bathroom door, holding his breath until he heard the door open, seeing the little stick MC held in her hands, how her shoulders shook as she looked down at it.
* “W-what does it say?” he asked, fearful of looking down at the test himself-he doubts he’d be able to understand it even if he did.
* “It’s-it’s positive. Jumin it’s-if this is right then I’m pregnant” she looked up to him, eyes welling up with tears. Jumin sighed, unable to contain a smile from forming on his own lips as he wiped away MC’s tears, holding her face in his palms.
* “We’ll book an appointment with a gynecologist first thing tomorrow, but if it’s true then...MC, I’m happy. I truly am.” He said, knocking his forehead with hers.
* She let go of the test, put her hands around his back, feeling the soft shake of his body as he took in the new information. It was a shock to them both, but together, they’d be able to prepare for it. However...
* “Jumin...? Are you truly happy?”
* He leaned back, smiling down at her. “If I were the same person I was before I met you-before I fell in love with you...I wouldn’t be. Then again, I never would’ve been in this predicament if that were the case, but regardless, back then I would’ve worried that the woman coming to me with a child of mine would seek out only money and fame, not to give the child the love and nurturing it needs to grow up well and safe.”
* He let his eyes flutter shut, opened them again as he looked on, shakily bringing a hand down to MC’s abdomen.
* “With you....with you I know it’s a child that’ll grow up loved, cared for. We’ll raise them together, and they’ll get to grow up as a child, not as a tool. That’s...that’s all I want for our child. To grow up loved, happy.”
* So...yeah. He’ll be scared, and boy oh boy the first time MC gives him his child to hold he’ll be so scared but also so happy I think it’ll be the first time Jumin Han will cry with joy, but overall? He’ll be one dang great father
SEVEN/LUCIEL/SAEYOUNG:
* Let’s assume that this all happens well after he finds his brother and leaves the agency-he’s still a hacker, but a ‘white hacker’ or whatever it is they’re called, often-times collaborating with C&R to strengthen their online security, doing hacking tests e.t.c.
* He’s in a good place, his bond with Saeran is slowly improving, and his love for MC is constantly growing, so the two have had the time to talk about their plans for the future, about what they want and the relative timelines.
* Saeyoung always wanted a family-that much we’re all aware of. But...he never expected he’d be allowed to have one. Now that he’s given the opportunity to start anew he’s excited, but also terrified, waiting for something bad to come right round the corner and take it all away. So to now become a father...he’s not sure how well he’ll handle that responsibility.
* Well, he shares these fears one late night with MC, which...makes it all the harder for her to tell him when the tell-tale signs come up. When her period’s late, when it’s completely gone for one, then two months. When she feels sick in the mornings, nauseous and bloated, why she makes excuses for her odd behavior much to Saeyoung’s dismay.
* In fact, it’s actually Saeran that notices what’s up, quickly putting two and two together since he’s not the one MC is actively trying to avoid.
* He confronted her about it, and she broke down, explained it all to him, how she’s done more than a few pharmacy tests to confirm her suspicion and they all came back positive, what Saeyoung had told her and why she feels terrified of telling him the truth.
* And Saeran...well, he’s dumbfounded.
* “You...are you really that stupid?” he asks, brows raised. MC can’t help it-even though she was crying whilst speaking to him, her tears stop at the sudden proclamation and she looks up at him wide-eyed.
* “Listen, I know my brother’s an air-head and all, but do you really think that little of him? That he wouldn’t be over the fucking moon if you told him he’s gonna become a dad?”
* Well......talk about perfect timing, who happened to come back home and walk into the living room at the perfect moment to hear this very last bit of the conversation?
* Yup of course Saeyoung stood there, his keys dropped to the floor as he stared at his twin and his girlfriend, confusion and shock evident on his face.
* None of them spoke for a long moment whilst Saeyoung composed his thoughts.
* Then, with perfect calamity he simply took a deep breath, let his eyes fall shut. “Saeran, can you leave for a bit? I need to speak with MC.”
* Saeran merely nodded, throwing an apologetic look MC’s way before heading out the door, the loud thud alerting MC and Saeyoung to the fact that they were now the only two people in the house.
* The silence was deafening, constricting MC’s lungs like a monster’s tentacles around a shipwreck.
* “Sae-listen, I’m sorry, I should’ve told you sooner, I didn’t know how to and I-”
* She didn’t get to finish her words. Saeyoung held a palm up, motioning for her to stop. “How far along are you?” he asked, his voice barely above a whisper, breaths raspy and shaky.
* “...about 8 weeks now” she admitted.
* Saeyoung took a step closer to her, crumpled onto his knees as he wrapped his hands across her belly.
* “I’m-I’m going to be a dad” he whispered, mainly to himself, a declaration to make himself believe it, “and all I’ve done so far is make you worry-MC, I’m so sorry. I should’ve never, never made you feel like there was anything you couldn’t talk to me about. I’m-I’m worried. I’m terrified but I’m so happy-so, so happy” he mumbled the last words into the fabric of her shirt, hiding his tears on her body.
* MC wrapped her arms around her, stroked his hair as he cried. They eventually found themselves laying side by side on the carpet like a pair of teens wasted at a house party, holding hands as they stared up at the ceeling.
* “...Do you think they’ll be twins?” Saeyoung joked, relishing in the small huff of laughter elicited from MC.
* “I don’t know if I’ll be able to handle another pair of twins in this household” MC teased back, “that’s like...quadruple the amount of pranks” she shrugged.
* They stared at the peels on the paint, content in the silence before Saeyoung propped himself up on his elbows, turning to his side so he could rest a hand on MC’s abdomen.
* “Think it-they-whatever, think our child can hear me?” he asked, trying his best to hide the creeping blush blooming up his neck.
* MC hummed. “I’m not sure”, she admitted, “but I think you should try and speak to them regardless.”
* Saeyoung nodded, taking a moment to compose himself. “Hey baby. Or babies. Or whoever it is in there” he laughed, “um, this-this is your dad. Don’t confuse me with your uncle, otherwise I’ll be super sad okay?!” He rolled his eyes as MC’s belly shook with laughter, waiting for her to calm down before he continued.
* “Listen...I’ve always dreamed of being a dad, and of having a big happy family. I’d tell my brother-that’s your uncle, I’d tell him every day when we were young that when we grow up we’ll live together in a biig house, and we’ll have a toy factory together, and I’ll have a direct line to Santa Claus so I could help him provide gifts to all the kids in the world-and that I’d have my own big family, and that my kids would always get any toy they want, and if that toy didn’t exist, then I’d make it for them. And...and I’ll do that for you too. So if there’s anything you want, start thinking about it, and I’ll make it for you. Anything.”
* He smiled, stroked his thumb across MC’s belly. “I need you to know I love your mom very very much. If she wasn’t here, I don’t think I’d ever be able to dream of having a family and being a dad again. So...so you should know she’s an amazing person, and that I’ll forever be grateful she stumbled into my life, and that she chose me out of everyone else out there.”
* He looked to MC, leaned back down to knock his forehead across hers.
* “Thank you”, he whispered, “thank you for the best gift I could’ve ever asked for”.
V/JIHYUN:
* This happened after the two had adopted Lucy. Their daughter was a bundle of joy, an angel that brought so much happiness to their daily life, that Jihyun could barely even remember the horrors of his past.
* Even if he were to ocassionaly have a nightmare or remember a horrible memory, MC would be there to hold his hand, or Lucy would be there with her big smile and tight hugs, the two chasing all the bad things away.
* Lucy was also equally happy, absoloutely adoring her parents and her uncles and aunt of the RFA-there was only one tiiiny complaint she had...
* “Mommy, daddy? Can I have a baby brother or sister to play with? Pleaaase?” she’d ask, sweetly blinking those big blue eyes of hers as if she was asking for a new toy or a candy, ignoring the awkward looks her parents shared trying to think of how to explain to her that they can’t just...bring a baby sibling to her on demand.
* This led to an awkward talk of the different ways babies come into a family; from the belly into the world, and then into the arms of a loving mom and dad, be it biological or not. Luckily, Lucy never seemed upset about being adopted; the two always worried wether it was right to tell her from such an early age, but Jihyun prided honesty above all else, so the two decided to ease her into the topic, making sure to shower her with love and affection so she’d know that how she came to be their daughter didn’t matter to them at all-they were just happy to have her in their lives.
* But lo and behold; her wish really did come true.
* One day Jihyun and Lucy were in the back garden playing with watercolours, making the white t-shirts they were both wearing a swirling mixtrue of colours. As Jihyun came back inside to wash up, he found MC in their bedrooms’ bathroom, holding something in one hand, the other covering her mouth as if in shock.
* “MC...? What’s wrong, is everything alright?”
* She turned to him, eyes teared up which only added to his worry as he looked down to her hands, finally noticing the stick she was holding.
* Slowly, he put two and two together, his brows raising. “You-this is....are you..?”
* MC nodded, biting her lip as Jihyun gasped, laughed, a quiet huff at first before he burst into a full laughter, tears welling at his eyes as he gripped MC by the waist and swirled her around, holding her tight.
* Lucy walked into their bedroom at that very moment, peering in curiously at the commotion. “I wanna lift too! Me too!” she giggled, running to her dad with her arms extended.
* Gleefully Jihyun picked her up, bringing both her and MC close for a family group hug.
* “Lucy, honey, you said you wanted a baby brother or sister right?” MC asked, stroking her daughter’s hair as Jihyun held her up to their eye level. Lucy nodded furiously, her cheeks red, eyes gleaming.
* “Do you still want one now?” MC continued, biting her lip to stop from smiling. Lucy nodded again. “Yes!! Yes, I do, I want one! And I want to help them drink their milk and put them to bed when they have bad dreams. And when they grow up we’ll play together all the time!” she beamed, Jihyun hiding his grin into her hair as MC nodded along to her daughter’s words.
* “Well baby, you’ll get a sibling soon. Mommy has a baby right here” Jihyun explained, bringing a hand to touch MC’s abdomen, “and when they’re born you’ll be a big sister!”
* Lucy was in awe, staring at her mom’s belly like it was made of gold. “There’s a baby in there?!” she pointed, looking incredulously to her parents.
* Jihyun nodded, gently leaning down to let Lucy back on the ground. “They’re still very very small”, MC began to explain, “but as they grow you’ll even be able to feel them kick and move”.
* Suffice to say, everyone in their little family was thrilled at the news. Jihyun was worried, ever a worry-rat even when Lucy was a baby, but Lucy was already preparing to be a big sister, insisting on coming along with her parents at every doctor’s visit, asking the doctors a dozen questions each time.
* As the baby grew and MC’s pregnancy got heavier, she could see the worry plaguing Jihyun, a concern he refused to voice. But MC was no fool-she could tell what it is he was thinking.
* “You know”, she told him one night, as she rested her hands on her growing baby bump, “I wish they’ll have your eyes-that gentle gaze of yours, it’ll be really nice if they inherit it from you.”
* Jihyun sighed at her words, turning on his side to bring a hand over her belly. “I don’t...MC, you know what I fear. I don’t want them to be anything like me I don’t-I don’t want them to go through anything remotely similar to what I did, to be anything like me, like I was, like I still am if I stop trying to change-I want them to have a good life. Them and Lucy..I want them to be happy.”
* MC pouted, gripping Jihyun’s hand, interlacing it with hers. “What you went through didn’t happen because of who you were, only because of the circumstances you were put under. You’re kind-hearted, self-less, caring and gentle, and yes, you put others above yourself and are quick to carry all the burden even when there’s others around you willing to lessen the load. But none of those are bad qualities Jihyun. And improving yourself isn’t a goal-directed process, it’s an open-ended journey. I hope our kids grow up to be like you.”
* Suffice to say, Jihyun was floored. MC had read him like a book, and he knew that, even if he initially didn’t want to admit it. Eventually he laughed, shaking his head. “I love you, you know that?”
* MC rolled her eyes.
* “I sure hope so”, she teased.
I went a ~little~ overboard with these but listen I’ve been doing ObGyn work for nearly a month now so it had to serve as inspiration somehow hehe

I haven’t been able to write a whole lot recently so to make up for the little drought here’s a few kegboys hcs!
-Tommy has a big thing for 70s country music, it’s like, all he’ll listen to. Steve’s kind of overexposed to country having grown up in IN so he’s pretty neutral on it even though he prefers pop, but Billy, resident metal head and city boy through and through, tries to poke fun at him for it because like, country music is for uncool hicks, right? But, and this is very much to his dismay, Billy cannot get enough of Dolly. Like he really couldn’t care less about Toms other picks but he is beyond hooked on Dolly to the point that he’s the one buying all her new records when they come out.
-Tommy is absolutely the house husband because the other two are honest to god domestically useless. Billy tries really, really hard to help because Steve goes to work and he feels like he’s lazy for not being able to do much while he’s recovering, so Tommy sticks him with the little jobs because he knows he’s never going to get him to agree to actually resting. It’ll just be little tasks, things like cleaning the lint trap when Tom switches the laundry, but it’s enough to make him feel less useless.
-But! As good as he is at keeping up with the bills and doing chores, Tommy CANNOT cook. Steve will never ever forget the time he came over to his house and caught popcorn on fire in his microwave or when Billy had to swoop in and unplug the toaster like seconds before Tee electrocuted himself trying to use a fork to fish out a piece poptart that broke off in there, so he is very much not allowed anywhere near a stove. Billy is the best cook and even then he’s a little iffy because Neil never let him do it, so to compensate for how collectively awful they are in the kitchen they have like a thousand scribbled in cookbooks in every drawer and pantry.
-They all three have very different sleeping habits. Billy’s the early bird, always gets up at the same time as the sun well-rested no matter what time they went to bed. Steve is a deep sleeper through and through, he’ll pass out at like, 11:00 every night and won’t move again until morning. If nobody were to wake him up he could probably sleep all through an entire day. Tommy’s something of a rough sleeper though, can’t usually get to sleep until at least two in the morning, usually later than that even, and once he gets to sleep it’s very light and he tends to wake up every hour, on the hour. One time when Steve’s at the pharmacy picking up Billy's meds he grabs a little thing of melatonin for Tom because like, it says it boosts sleep and anything’s worth a shot if it means Tommy won’t be so exhausted and sick and frustrated all the time, and it does help! He sort of ends up on about the same sleep schedule as Billy once his rhythm gets a little more regulated.
-When they first started dating, Billy thought Steve was bad when it came to clothes stealing, he lost a few jackets and old t-shirts that way, but when they all three move in together he discovers that Tommy is the true culprit. Neither he nor Steve can keep track of literally any single piece of clothing. Everything, from their hoodies to their jeans to their pjs to their socks, all belong in some part to Tom until eventually they just have one community wardrobe they pick and choose from instead of like, individual clothes.
-They all three overuse the heck out of pet names like baby and babe, which results in Steve calling Tommy babe one and Billy babe two because he was tired of saying like “hey babe” and getting two simultaneous answers.
-Tommy does Billy’s hair for him when he still can’t do too much with his hands, and after that too when it’s convenient because it becomes routine, combing out his curls and putting mousse in it when he wants it done nice, because he wants to be a hairdresser anyways! He’d practiced plenty on Steve ever since they were in middle school, given him tons of hair cuts and even his highlights! It’s for that reason that when Tommy starts doing Billy’s hair, Steve gets the teensiest bit jealous because that used to be him. So everytime they go anywhere and they aren’t crunched for time he has to do both Billy and Steve’s hair and he starts not having time to straighten his own! But! That’s okay because his boys are very fond of his natural curls!
-Steve runs very, very cold always. He’s a type one diabetic so he’s pretty much always anemic and he freezes like 24/7. Even in the summer when Billy and Tommy are like melting into the furniture, he can get away with long sleeves and be just fine. When they’re in bed they keep Steve in the middle because they both run super warm like a heat register and it’d get too hot without having Steve as their ice pack between them.
-More about Steve’s diabetes bc it’s like one of my fav hcs and I wish I could write about it more! It’s really hard to find things for him to eat because he’s gotta worry about his sugar, but also because he has so many food allergies and sensitivities on top of that. Before he had anyone around he just kind of didn’t care about watching himself like, if he wanted to eat something, he would just do it, but he ultimately faced the consequences of that a few times too many, aka being hospitalized twice with DKA and three times with anaphylactic shock. he gets banned from grocery shopping on his own, because he will absolutely buy so much stuff he isn’t supposed to have and ‘lose’ the receipt and just hide the stuff because his boys will not let him eat whatever he wants anymore. Billy is also not allowed to go shopping because he never remembers what brands they use or reads any labels, he just grabs the first of everything he sees and calls it a day. Tommy officially gave up on them and started doing it himself after confiscating a half empty bag of gummy bears off of Steve and having to use the wrong toothpaste for months because Billy refused to pay attention.
-Tommy attracts strays! Cats, dogs, an actual escaped budgie from the neighbors house once, it doesn’t matter, somehow they always find him. If he’s out on the porch there’s like, a ninety percent chance there’s a critter that doesn’t belong to them in his lap. He lets Billy name them all even though they can’t keep them. Tommy personally can’t pick a favorite out of the 20 some odd cats that come and go because they’re all his babies, but Billy and Steve have theirs. B’s favorite is a black and white little fella named Mr. Shrimp and Steve’s is a sweet tabby girl named Meowzers! The rule doesn't only apply to domesticated animals either, raccoons and wild bunnies also tend to lurk around their porch. Billy picks up a raccoon once (he named her Poubelle, but calls her Bella) and Steve yelled at him for hours about how dangerous and irresponsible and gross it was. Him and Tommy get boyfriend grounded for like, weeks after that.
-Steve is like everyone’s Midwestern grandma! He keeps pockets full of butterscotch candies and tissues, he’s got a collection of blow molds and Tiffany lamps, he wears sweatshirts and jackets with weird quotes on them and like, he believes the cure to every ailment is tomato soup, vicks, a wash rag, and a kiss or any combination thereof. It drives Billy completely up the wall, because he’ll cough like once and Steve is like do you need soup? do you need a doctor? please let me help you. But Tommy likes it, being fussed over, cause he grew up with younger siblings and two working parents, so he was always the one doing the fussing.

Shea Butter (Baby) (NSFW)
Tumblr media
Pairing: Erik x Black!Reader.
Summary: I mean…. another man’s trash is another man’s treasure.
(author’s note: so, okay...I had this idea of mash-up monday where we all take two songs with the same title, or same general title and write a fic based on what you are inspired by from listening to both songs. I’m sure there are enough songs to do this with. my songs were Shea Butter by Pardison Fontaine and Shea Butter Baby by Ari Lennox and this is what I came up with. I hope people try this as well! It was fun.)
Song Lyrics That Inspired Me: I want you, gotta have you, I don't think you understand (You don't) I heard you when you told me you already got a man (So?) That nigga probably love you but can't fuck you like I can You need a man in your pussy, not a pussy as your man (Ayy, woo)  - Pardison Fountaine
You lost in the shape of my hips Hope there is a move And if you really down, we can find it Lost in an alley, make love by a trash can, ayy - Ari Lennox
You felt uncomfortable, to say the least. You were smashed right between your boyfriend, and his homeboy. Your boyfriend’s hand was slung around your waist, hand on the curve of your hip. He could definitely feel the vibration of your phone, notifying you of text messages that you were receiving.
“Damn baby, you got the hotline tonight.” Devon said drink to his lips, eyes glued to the tv screen. You laughed then, nervously, out of the corner of your eye you could see his homeboy, best friend, supposed god father to your future kids, put his cellphone back down on the arm of the chair.
Good lord you were playing with fire. You had been striking the match for a long time now, ever since you had drunkenly kissed his homeboy during a kickback, on the side of your brownstone. He was holding the trash, that he was supposed be throwing out, with one hand and your ass in one hand. You were holding his face pulling him deeper into you. You were supposed to be showing him which trash can was yours. That was months ago. Ever since then you had been trying to avoid Erik Stevens. You made sure that you were busy on nights like this, studying at your own place, working night shifts at the pharmacy. Hell, you had even taken up night soul cycling with your crazy cousin who was into the crystals. But somehow you had gotten caught slippin’.
But you were an adult, you could handle a little awkwardness and as long as Erik was cool, you could be cool.
As least that’s what you thought.
It all started at the door. You opened it and was instantly hit with that familiar fragrance of man, cologne and Irish Spring. You felt dizzy and were tongue tied when you looked up to see Erik smiling, wolfishly, back down at you.
“Damn girl, where the fuck you been?” He leaned against the doorframe looking you up and down. When his gaze traveled back up and paused at your lips, he bit down on his own and you knew right then that you were in trouble. “You been hiding from me?” He asked, low enough to where only you and him could hear.
Before you could respond by pushing him out of the doorframe and slamming the door on your troubles, Devon walked up and made that noise men make when greeting another male of their brotherhood. While they did their handshake and greeted each other, you slipped under Devon’s arm and made your way into the kitchen to make sure the spread was right…and to get out of Erik’s eye sight.
Fifteen minutes later you still had not made it out of the kitchen, still picking over the food. The living room was now full with Devon’s friends and their girlfriends or girls they were seeing at the moment. You busied yourself putting out more food when the men made their plates, engaging their girlfriends when they came into the kitchen to grab a drink or a little food. Anything you could do to avoid being in the same space as Erik. At one point you had started to arrange the cups in his cupboard.
“Baby. Stop fingering my cups and sit down. Damn.” Devon said earning a laugh from his crew. You turned and huffed, the jig was up and you had to face your demons. And your demon was patting the cushion between himself and his boy.
And that’s how you found yourself between a rock and a hard place. Devon had wrapped his hand around your waist somewhere after the 1st quarter ended and that’s when the text messages started. You knew it was Erik because he nudged you discreetly once your phone started vibrating. You made sure Devon was focused on the game before grabbing your phone from your pocket. You unlocked it and read the message.
You didn’t answer my question.
What question?
U been hidin from me?
Y would I hide from you?
I don’t know baby. U tell me.
Don’t call me baby.
With that you slid the phone back into your pocket and cuddled up into your man. But that of course didn’t stop Erik from messaging you. You pulled out your phone again and brought it closer to your face now that you were closer to Devon.
Y not? You my baby.
No I’m not, Erik. I have a man.
Nah, you got a boyfriend. I’m ya man.
Can your boyfriend make you cum like I can?
His sentence made you go back to that day, in the alley, next to your garbage can. You’re not sure who touched who in what way to make Erik push you against the wall like he did. You’re not sure what signal you gave him that made him know that you wanted him to kiss you like he did. By the time you figured what you were doing was wrong, he had your legs around his waist and your dressed hitched up so you felt him against your panties.
You pushed him back, breathless, your lip gloss smeared around and on his lips. His and your breaths came out in white puffs, going up together in a cloud of vapor.
“What ma? Why you stopping me?” He leaned towards you again capturing your lips in another heated kiss but you pushed him back again before you both got in too deep.
“We shouldn’t be doing this, Erik? Devon is right upstairs.” You searched his face for regret or memory* but the only thing you saw was undisguised lust. It made you even more turned on.
“I don’t give a fuck about fucking Devon.” His lips brushed up your neck. “He knew I wanted you anyway but nigga fucking pushed up before I could.” He bit gently right under your earlobe and you shivered, but not from the cold.
“Wait what?” You pushed him back again and this time he made a noise that sounded close to a growl. “The fuck does that mean?”
Erik looked down the alley where people were passing by, not looking towards the sounds you know they could hear coming from the dark alley. He looked back at you. “That day Devon approached you at the party, I saw you first and I told him about you. How good your ass looked in that yellow dress.” He gripped your ass at that and you groaned. “How I liked how you bit your lips when you danced with your girls. How I wanted to take you home that night. How bad I wanted you to sit on my fucking face.” He kissed you again and when he pulled back, you immediately followed his lips with your own but he kept talking.
“But D, fucking D always has to have what I want, so he pressed up on you first.” He pressed against you then, hard and big. Your pussy clenched. “And now you with him. But I don’t give a fuck. I want you.” With that he rocked against your clothed pussy, sending a sharp jolt as if he was inside of you. You moaned softly.
“Yeah, just like that.” He said encouraging your moans as he continued his dry humping. “When he fucks you tonight, you remember I made you feel like this without being inside of you.” He rocked harder. “You remember how wet you got from just my kisses.” He sucked a line from your neck to your lips biting down. You moaned as his thrusting became harder, giving you enough friction to throw you over the edge hard.
You clenched your legs around him hard, pulling him into you. He chuckled softly in your ear before giving you soft kisses on your neck.
“Then when he finally makes you orgasm with that weak shit he gives you, you remember how good you felt with me, and how much better I can make you feel with just one stroke” When your legs stopped shaking, he dropped you down and picked up the trash, putting it in the trash can where it belonged.
A buzzing brought you back from your memory, and you noticed that you had clenched your legs up tight.
I didn’t think so.
Answer ya ‘man’.
“Huh?” You slid your phone back into your pocket and looked over at Devon who was looking back at you as if you had two heads.
“You bored huh bae? I’m sorry.” He kissed your temple. “I was just asking who was texting you?”
“Oh.” You chuckled, placing a smile on your face. “Just Kendra. She was telling me about her date with the NBA player.”
“Your girl is a trip, I swear.” Devon settled back and got back into the game, even moving his arm from around you and pointing out a bad call.
After fifteen minutes your phone had buzzed several more times, yet you ignored it instead spending your time really focusing on the game. Devon and several of the men had taken to standing up around the TV as if their energy could be transmitted through the TV. The girlfriends were gathered in the kitchen picking at fruit and talking. You had tried to join them but Erik gripped your shirt, keeping you in your place. He had hung back from the guys, instead choosing to antagonize you by brushing his knee against yours every five minutes.
Erik leaned towards you and whispered in your ear. “Since you ain’t answering my messages, I’m just gonna tell you what they said. The first one said, I want your pussy against my mouth.” He licked your earlobe before pulling back just as whoops went up.
“Stop it.” You said out of the side of your mouth.
Erik smirked and leaned closer to you, “Nah. I wrote them messages and you gon’ know what I said. The second one said, I want you ride my face. Period. Hard. Period.”
“Erik, please.” You begged quietly, you could feel your resolve crumbling.
“No ma. You been hiding from me. I don’t like that shit. You got a nigga fucking weak and shit, hoping to see you but you don’t never show up. So you best believe I’mma tell you everything I want from you while you’re here.” He smiled. “That reminds me, the third one said, after you cum against my mouth, I’m going to bend you over whatever’s close and take what I want. Hard.”
You bit your lip and clenched your thighs together. You looked at Devon who was focused solely on the game.
“Oh and the fourth one is my favorite one, it said, 15 minutes, my crib.” He brushed his hand over your knee and then stood up going over to Devon and patting him on the shoulder.
“Oh man, you’re leaving already?” Devon said doing their handshake again but ending it with a chest bump. “You must got a pussy appointment?” Devon smirked.
“I hope so.” Erik grinned at Devon and then said his goodbyes to the other men before waving goodbye to the ladies and then finally at you. He mouthed ‘13’ before walking to the door and leaving.
You looked around and found the girlfriends looking at you. When they found you looking back at them, they turned whispering to themselves again. Honestly, you really didn’t give a fuck about what they thought. In fact, you didn’t give a fuck about anything at this point.
You looked at the clock on the wall.
In 11 minutes, you were going to get dicked down.

I have a request for you❤️ could you please write something about the scene in the subway? I was thinking: female reader and Artie are in the subway (idk if u want Carnival or not) and the female reader leaves Artie alone while she's in the bathroom and when she comes back she sees the three Wall Street guys bothering Artie for his laugh🙁 She protect Artie but then they start bothering her too, and one of them tries to slap her. Artie takes the gun off and kill them and she's afraid. THX❤️❤️❤️
Hey my lovely Anon, thank you so much for the request . I finally wrote that piece you asked for and I really hope you like how it turned out to be. Much love your way.
Arhur leaned his tired head against the subway window. His sad eyes gave his painted face a tragic look. The green Carnival wig looked like something that didnt belonged to him anymoe. He sqeezed your hand so tight you could almost feel your bones cracking, but he didnt dared to look you in the eyes. Arthur felt too embarassed about losing  his job minutes ago. That was something he was always worried about. Especially since you moved into his apartment with him. The thought of himself not being able to pay rent anymore was something he just didnt knew how to handle. He wanted you to offer a home. A save place where no worries could ever bother you. And now everything was uncertain.  The fact that you had to spent your life in Gotham city was hard enough for him. A city which showed its harsh face every day.
His apartment was the only place you felt save and he was aware of that. Depite the fact that these four walls held so many bad memories for him, the place transformed into something beautiful since he wasnt alone anymore. He felt like living there with you now put a spell all over the place. One that had the power to overcome the horror of what happened here before. Your love was the cure to everything. Even his past. And even though his inner scars would always remain, you covered and healed them with your love everyday. Letting him know how important he was , how much he mattered.
You tried to caress his hand with your thumb but he held your fingers so close in his fist that you weren`t able to do so. "Artie, you know that it wasnt your fault, right? You did nothing wrong. "
Arthur didnt answer. You knew that if he didnt reply he was so hurt that the words got stuck in his throath. "Artie? Please. It breaks my heart to see you like that."
He was still facing the window. The view outside made him even sadder. The skyscrapers passing by. That cold looking city. All he wanted to be was the light that illuminated this shitty place. But people wouldnt allow him to.  People saw darkness in him. Just a weird, dark guy. They tried to dim his light by making fun of him. By abandon him until he felt none existend.
You were the only one who made him feel seen. Who illuminated his light with every word, every touch, every kiss. His eternal flame. But sometimes he just couldnt say anything. Sometimes the words got stuck in there and all he was able to let out was laughter. He knew the moment he opened his mouth right now all there would be was a laugh. And he didnt wanted to do that to you. So he kept it all inside.
You wanted to touch his face, to caress his white cheeks.
A song was running through your head
"...to touch the the face of Carnival."
You wish you could, but Arthur seemed so far away right now. So hurt in his own world.
"Dont be disappointed in yourself, sweetheart. Hoyt is an aweful person. He always treated you like shit. He doesnt even deserve Carnival to work for him. You are better than that!"
Arthur pressed one silent tear out of his left eye. His tears always remained silent. His laugh was cruel and loud and merciless. The loudest cry of them all. But his tears remained in silence. Unseen by most people. But you noticed them.
You always did.
Your whole body twitched as Arthur banged his head against the window. Another  dark blue tear rolled down his well defined cheek bone. He didnt reacted to what he just did. He was used to it.
"Arthur no!" you took your other hand to place it on his forehead "Please look at me, darling. Don`t punish yourself. Please I am begging you."
Arthur turned his head to face you. His eyes closed. He was still to embarrassed to look you in the eyes. You kissed his closed eyelids so softly it made him lose another tear. Your lips found his salty diamond and kissed it away immediately. The familiar taste of face paint lingered on your lips.
Arthur whimpered silently, now that he was finally able to look at you "I`m so sorry. So endlessly sorry about not being good enough. I thought I was. I thought I could protect you. From....everything. From Gotham and from not having enough money....I thought I`m a good boyfriend and I wanted you to offer you a home and now I dont know how to anymore. We gotta pay rent next month, Y/N. And how would we be able to? I only have 20 dollars left in my pockets. I thought I was going to be a stand up comedian and I dreamed about having my own tv show and fantasized about how proud you would be of me. Seeing me on the screen! I thought I would be invited by Murray and.........now I realize it was nothing more than stupid dreams. Illusions. And we cannot make a living like that. And thats all my fault. Because I got fired. You deserve better. Someone who can protect you!"
Now that he was finally talking all the words he held back escaped his lips one after another.  Arthur now held both of your hands "Please belive me all I ever wanted to do was to protect you! From all troubles in life. "
Hearing say those words hit you hard. Because right from the very first day you thought he was the one who needed protection. The man that never learned how it is to be loved in return. Arthur never experienced being protected. Not even from his own parants. Especially not from them. You felt like everything he wanted to give you was what he needed most.
"I know, Artie. And you do. You do protect me from the world. And I will do too. We`ll protect each other, right? Sometimes bad things happen. But we will get through it together now. You dodnt have to face them alone anymore. Ever."
Arthur nodded, resting his head upon your shoulder. He was tired. More than that he was emotionally exhausted. His puffy wig tickled your chin. The woman that was sitting across you for the last 10 minutes left the subway. You were alone now. Before she left she gave Arthur an dirty look.
"What is it?" you asked. But the old lady didnt reacted.
"See?" Arthur shrugged "Its always like that. I.....I dont know what is wrong with me. Baby, please tell me what is wrong with me?"
"Nothing is wrong with you, Arthur. Its them. Its peoples ignorance. They are just cold hearted and they judge you before they get to know you."
He took his wig off.
"Its because I`m a clown". Even when I`m taking my costume and make up off. All that remains is a fucking clown. Thats how they see me. No matter how they call me. "
"And I love that clown. He brightens up my world with his jokes and dances...he`s my sun. " you gently placed a kiss upon his sad frown.
"I love you" he whispered "I love you so much I feel it in my guts. Your love re-arranges all those things that are wrong inside of me".
"There is nothing wrong inside of you, Arthur!"
"It is....and I am aware of that. But you still love me and thats more I could ever ask for. " He touched your face to kiss you with his big, red mouth.
"I´m very much in love with that clown" you giggled. And for the first time today Arthur smiled behind his fake smile. He pointed into his pocket and leaned in on you "You know what Y/N? I have my gun with me. I was thinking about.....well...robbing the pharmacy or something. To make sure we can pay the rent. I dont want you to worry about that all month. I was playing it through in my head the minute I got fired...."
You coudlnt deny that his words shocked you a little. Would he really do somethign like that? Robbing a place? Woukd he go that far?
"Arthur, baby. No. No, non,no. Dont think like that.  You dont have to, okay? We`ll only get in more trouble..."
He nodded " Yeah....that was stupid I know.....but....I wouldnt hurt anyone. I`ll just take the money and run. You know I`m a fast runner, right?"
"Yeah I know you are but....Robbing a place? No. We gotta figure soemthing out to pay rent, okay?  I know we will. Something legal."
Arthur nodded. His eyes lighted up a bit.
"And I know that you will protect me from anything. I knew it right from the second I first saw you. That we will take care of each other."
Arthur seemed irritated when you got off your seat.
"I have to go to the toilet. I`ll be right back, okay?"
"Okay" he put his wig into his  bag. His brown curls sticking sweaty to his forehead.
Arthur continued looking out the window as the subway arrived the next station. People rushed by in a hurry. Everyone seemed so busy with their lifes. He thought about how people never see each other. How they keep passing each other by without taking notice. Arthur was a good observer. He noticed anything. Sometimes even more than what was really there.
His heart broke for a little kid who was dragged away by his mother. A violent grab. She got her arm pulled in a way that didnt felt right. Arthur tried to get a closer glimpse and noticed bruises on the little girls arm. He felt triggered. It only took him seconds to break out in a painful laughter. It was loud enough to make you notice from the bathroom. You started to get nervous. Was he crying because you left him sitting there all by himself? Even if it was just for three minutes? You shoudlnt have done that. Leaving him alone in his condition.
Arthur covered his open mouth with both of his hands as three guys entered the subway. They already gave him a look, even though he managed to keep calm. They hated clowns. he just knew it. He felt it in his bones. Arthurs body started to hurt. Every muscle felt like it was on fire.
"Gosh...look at this freak" one of the guys pointed at Arthur "Oh my god" the other one replied "What the fuck is he all about? Look at those shoes. Ridiculous!"
Arthur looked down to his feet. His red and blue clown shoes stared back at him. He may never wear them again if he coudln`t find a new job as a party clown. A heavy sadness got to his heart as he tried to swallow another laughing fit. If only he could cry out loud in public. Peple would know how he really felt then. And he wanted them to know how hurt he was. How cruel the world has treated him. He finally had a girlfriend, someone who truly loved him, someone to share his life with. The worst timing to lose his job. The absolute worst.
"Jesus, what the hell is wrong with you?" the tallest one of the guys laughed.
You could hear from the toilet room that someone was talking to him but it was hard to actually make out the words.
"I`m a.....party clown....I do little dances for kids and...."
He used to be a party clown.  Something he lost today. This hurt so much.
The tall guy sat down beside Arthur, taking his bag, throwing all his clown gear out. "Ohhh look! Its a clown! So,....can you dance for us ?" The other guys started laughing. Arthur swallowed down his pain but it kept crawling up his throath. He pressed his hand hard against his lips. A cough. And another. It hurt so much. Especially on the inside.
"C`mon, dance for us" the guy yelled at Arthurs face as he grabbed his wig and put it on himself "Stop laughing you psycho. Whats your fucking problem?"
Arthur tried to get his card. It wasnt in his pocket anymore. Maybe he lost it. Like his mind.
"I have a condition...." his voice cracked.
"Obviously, you sick fuck!" the bully smashed the wig right into Arthurs face. This made him laugh even harder.
Arthur was desperately trying to breathe when you finally got out of the bathroom, realizing that he just got bullied again.
"Hey, what are you doing here? Leave him alone!" you got Carnivals wig back. "Whhooo hoo lady. Who do you think you are to talk to me like that?"
One of the other guys took two stepts closer "Yeah, right. "
"I`m his girlfriend and you better go now! Can`t you see that he is in pain?" you replied. Arthur was still trying to breathe. Unable to do anything else. You touched his shoulder "It`ll be okay, baby. "
The third guy made a voice "Its okay baaaabyyy...hahahahah how desperate!"
You felt anger rising inside of you. Seeing Arthur fighting for air while others made fun of him was something that broke your heart.
"YOU are the ones who are desperate. Bullying a stranger on the subway for wanting to bring other people joy!"
"What did you just called me?" the guys eyes turned darker "Did you just called me desperate?"
You watched over to Arthur he was shaking his head, coughing. You didnt knew what to say. The situation started to get tense. And all of the sudden you felt  a fist hitting you right in the face. Your head started spinning and your vision blurred. You felt your knees weaken before you fell to the groud.
And for a moment everything blacked out.
That moment was longer than it seemed.
Everything changed  until you woke up again.
"Y/N?, Honey. We gotta get out of here!" It was Arthurs voice. His laughter was gone. He sounded nervous but confident.
You rubbed your eyes "What....was happening. Are you...okay? Arthur?"
"Yeah we`re okay. But we gotta go NOW. We dont have any time to lose."
There was blood on his face. His yellow vest was covered with red stains.
"Is that....your blood? Did they hurt you, baby?"
"No...its not mine... "
"What do you mean by...." the dizzyness was still taking over you. You tried to make sense out of this situation, but everything was a blurr.
Arthur grabbed your hand, helped you to get up "Run" he yelled as the subway door opened. You now noticed the guy who hit you was lying on the ground. Shot dead. You couldnt see the other ones. All went by too fast. You tried to run as fast as possible. It was hard to keep up with him.
Gotham was passing by like in a unrealisic dream as you both ran out of the subway station.
"What did you do?" you felt tears running down yor face. Afraid of what Arthur just did.
"I protected you" he yelled breathlessly "Like I promised".
You ran.
You both ran hand in hand like your life depended on it. Any maybe it did.
Arthur lead you into a public bathroom. Closing the door behind you, letting his bag fall to the ground. Breathing heavily.
He looked like he was about to pass out any second.
Your hand gently wiped the sweaty curls out of his eyes while you kissed the tip of his nose. remains of blood covering his chin.
"Arthur....I`m not sure what happened."
"That guy slapped you" his intense eyes pierced you like they never did  before.
"I remember that. And then it all went black."
Arthur pulled his gun "I took care of it. No one hurts my girl. No one in this fucking city will hurt you."
Now you knew. He did it. Arthur killed someone.
You tried to collect your thoughts, which seemed an impossible thing to do.
"You....killed those guys?"
"Mmhh hmm...yeah I had to. I mean...They wanted to hurt my angel" Arthur took you in his arms and all you could do was cry. You cried so hard into his yellow vest you didnt even cared that it was stained with blood. The bloody fabric soaked up your tears as you let go and allowed yourself to cry like never before.
And then something magical happened. Arthurs body started to shake. But there was not the slightest sound of laughter.
He was crying,too.
Arthur was finally able to cry.
He was sobbing into your neck like a little boy, telling you that killing them off was the only way to not let them harm you ever again.
"Who knows what they would have done if I hadnt stopped them. I knew I had to take action. I can handle people hitting me, but I cant let them hurt you, honey. I just can`t."
You kissed his shaking lips "What if they will find us?"
"They won`t" he said while the tears ran down his face. The clown make up started to came of. You kissed the part of his skin that got exposed. Traces of Artie. Of the man who would protect you over anything.
"I dont want you to kill someone.....Oh my god Arthur....I`m so afraid....."
"Dont be" Arthur said. "I coudnt protect you from not being able to pay rent but I was able to protect you from the bad guys. And we woudln`t get caught. Trust me. Do you trust me?"
"I trust you, Arthur!"
"Miracles still happen" he said "I mean...look at me. I am actually crying! iI have waited for this moment all my life. To actually be able to cry." his body was a shaky mess buthe seemed happier.
You wiped his tear away with your index finger and licked it off.
"I feel good" Arthur parted your lips with his tongue and kissed you passionately. His red lipstick smeared up all over your chin.
And as you tasted his salty diamond tears you knew that miracles truly do exist.

Crime Baby AU
“I’m not gonna be some drug runner!” Taemin shrieks, moving back, stumbling, and falling on his ass just before reaching the couch. Then he scrambles to pull himself up onto the couch and sit as gracefully and as dignified as possible when he has several people smirking st him and looking oh-so-amused at his outburst. Shit-heads.
“I’m not asking you to be a drug runner,” his father - Heechul, he’s learned his name is in the last six months they’ve gotten to know each other - says, an amused glint in his eyes. “All you’ve gotta do is take these packets to rehearsal one day, say how energetic they made you feel, and tell your manager-”
“Euisoo’s my manager,” Taemin interrupts him. He’s gotten much more comfortable around his newfound family, even if they do still scare the shit out of him. He’s realized they won’t put a bullet through his head for something as menial as interrupting their over-long monologues.
“A different manager,” his father clarifies, his eyes moving to glance at Euisoo, who’s standing behind the couch with a comforting hand on Taemin’s shoulder. “And you tell him how amazing they are. Say you think they’d help some others beat the fatigue. And the stuff will sell itself. It will give us an instant in inside the idol market.”
“You want me to drug my members?” Taemin asks, his voice cracking. “I don’t wanna do that!”
His father sighs, but looks like he expected this sort of pushback.
“Can you ever sit in on other practices?” Heechul asks.
“Sometimes,” Taemin mumbles. “Not usually.”
“What about backstage at recordings?” he asks, going to sit next to Taemin. To hold his hands. To smile at him. “You ever run into idols from other companies?”
“Yeah, all the time,” Taemin admits, not quite understanding. He won’t admit it, but the hand-holding is a teensy bit comforting. Less intimidating than everyone just staring at him.
“Then when you’re backstage one day, and you run into another idol, all you gotta do is say, ‘Hey, I got these cool energy boosters’ or something to that effect, and ‘do you wanna try one?’ Then you let them take a couple, he tries one, he lets his members try one, and then they start making their managers buy our product. Understand?”
Taemin is quiet for a moment, his eyes darting around the room, before he finally nods his head and mumbles, “I understand.”
But then his forehead crinkles and he looks at Heechul and asks, “You’re not gonna make me take it, are you?”
“Have my son take this crap? Not a chance,” Heechul says quickly.
Taemin thinks that says a lot. And he knows for damn sure he’s never going to let anyone in SHINee get their hands on it, never let his friends even so much as try it.
“Now here’s your first bag,” his father says, one of his men handing over a duffel bag. “And when they start coming back and asking you where you got it from, you know what to tell them, right?”
Taemin nods his head and answers, “The Suju online pharmacy.”
“Good boy.”
It’s his father’s company: Suju Pharmaceuticals. All completely legitimate with actual pharmacists and doctors and everything. Except it’s ridiculously easy to get a prescription for almost anything without ever seeing a doctor in person, it’s easy to say you’re a legal adult without actually being one, and it’s easy to find the items that are actually fronts for exteremely illegal drugs. Taemin has no clue how his father has never been caught by the police. He doesn’t really want to think about it.
So he leaves with Euisoo that night, the duffel bag coming with them, and the next day, he’s at Music Bank giving two, three, four samples to unsuspecting idols who think it’s just some sort of energy drink or vitamin supplement in capsule form.
“My friend at school gave it to me,” he tells a boy group member who’s name escapes him. “I think it says on the packet where it’s from. Suju-something.”
“Cool,” the boy - older than him actually, so maybe a man - says, eyeing the packet. “You just need two?”
“Uh-huh,” Taemin says, nodding. “Keeps you awake for like twelve hours or something. Which is cool ‘cause like I hate coffee. We had rehearsal all last night and I took it before class and I’ve been fine all day!”
“Thanks!” the man says, smiling. “If they work I’ll have to get my manager to buy us some. Hey, good luck performing!”
“Thank you! You too!”
And he’s power walking away as fast as he can to add this group to the list of who he’s given samples to. That’s the third group that night. He and Euisoo decided that was the limit per venue, otherwise it might start looking suspicious.
After two weeks, he’s out of samples and has a list that seems like a mile long. He and Euisoo go back to see his father, deliver the results, and are given a refill of samples.
“You wouldn’t believe the sales we had last weekend,” Heechul tells him, grinning. “Total spike. Well done.”
“Thank you,” Taemin mumbles, fidgeting and feeling entirely uncomfortable.
After a couple months, sales have completely skyrockets. Taemin has at least half the industry hooked on these things, but he’s managed to keep it entirely out of SM. That was the deal he ended up making with his father: if he got enough idols from other companies, he wouldn’t be persuaded to give them to his friends. And Taemin has practically an entire rival company buying them in bulk for each group, he thinks he’s done more than enough. Besides, he can tell their performances are getting sloppy. He doesn’t want that happening to people he works with, people he’s friends with.
“You’re rivaling your sister with how well you’re doing,” his father praises him, his hands on Taemin’s shoulders, a smirk on his face. “She was quite persuasive at your age as well. And look at her now - you could be just like her one day.”
His oldest sister is just one rank below their father in the company. She has a lot of power, a lot of influence, and she’s mildly terrifying. Taemin wants to be nothing like her when he grows up.
“You said I could stay an idol if I did what you said,” Taemin says, his voice soft, his eyes fixed on his shoes.
“Of course you can,” his father says, patting Taemin’s shoulders. “But one day, when you’re older and want to do something other than the idol life, I think you could have a bright future here. Who knows, you might even take over as my right hand.”
His sister doesn’t look happy about that, since that’s currently her role, but Taemin just nods his head. He doesn’t want to cause an argument. He doesn’t want to get in the way. He swallows the lump in his throat and lets out a shaky breath, his eyes moving to see Euisoo wink at him.
“You said,” Taemin stammers, finally wanting to ask the question he’s been talking with Euisoo about for weeks now. “You said no one would have to find out I was your son.”
“I did say that,” Heechul says, moving to sit next to Taemin. “Truthfully, I think it would hinder the little business we have going on right now.”
“Then,” Taemin starts, his voice shaking, “Then is it okay if I go home this weekend? To see - to see my other family?”
How many months has Taemin gone without seeing his real family? Without seeing his brother or his dad? To try and keep them safe?
It’s been too long, and he misses them desperately. And finally, after months of distancing himself, his brother called and asked him to come home. Just for the weekend. Just to say hi. Because they miss him too.
“You go see them,” Heechul tells him, patting Taemin’s shoulder again. “You see them and you assure them nothing’s wrong. Nothing’s out of the ordinary. You’ve just been busy with being an idol.”
“Thank you,” Taemin breathes out, his voice barely above a whisper.
When he gets home that Friday night, he hugs his dad tighter than he has in a long, long time. He doesn’t tell them anything, doesn’t say anything about his newfound biological family or their business or how he knows they’re the ones who killed his mother. He keeps it all a secret, stays quiet about it, and instead just tries to pretend that he’s happy for the first time in months.

there’s more than diplomacy for you, dear
(Also on Ao3)
00000
When they make it back to the Lodging House that evening a literal Wave of Silence falls over the rest of the newsies, which is honestly a bit much.
“Told you so,” Les mutters. Davey flicks him in the ear.
“Okay, it’s not that bad,” he huffs after a long moment of breathless quiet. “I’m fine.”
Racetrack is the first to find his voice. “Jesus, Davey, what the fuck?” he says lurching forward, face tight with concern.
Davey sweeps a hand over his thighs, brushing away some dirt that’s still clinging to his pants. “Some guys thought I’d make an easy target,” he explains. “Jumped me in the alley behind the pharmacy.”
“Are ya okay?” Albert interjects. “What’d they take?”
Davey waves a hand. “They only got a couple of pennies,” he reassures them. “Les had all our earnings and I made him run ahead and hide.”
“Did ya get a good look at ‘em?” Blink asks, cracking his knuckles. “I got time to bust a few heads.”
“Not sure,” Davey says. “There were four of them—from Brooklyn, I think. It looked like they were headed back towards the bridge. They still had a bunch of papes they hadn’t managed to sell and they weren’t in the colors, so I think they mighta been some of the new guys Spot said he’d took up but—”
Albert’s mouth flattens into a thin, harsh line. “You’re sayin’ some other newsies did this to ya?”
“Spot won’t tolerate nothin’ like that from his boys, ‘specially not no new guys,” Racetrack says confidently. “We’s square with Brooklyn now, he and Jack shook on it and everything—”
He falters mid-sentence.
“Oh, shit. Oh, shit, Jack!
Davey doesn’t understand where Race is going with this, but it seems he’s the only one: everyone around him adopts a similar wild, wide-eyed expression. Then there’s a rush of sound as they all start talking at once.
“—well I’m not gonna do it—“
“—lose his fucking mind—“
“—I’m too young to die—“
“—not on your life—“
“—where’s Crutchie when ya need him—“
“—dead men walking—“
“Maybe he won’t notice?” That last comment comes from Romeo. The others turn and look at him with various levels of incredulity.
“...yeah, that was stupid,” Romeo says, deflating.
“Shuddup, all a youse,” Racetrack says, holding a hand up for quiet. “Here’s what we’re gonna do: we get Mouth here fixed up best we can, yeah? Jack’s still at Pulitzer’s, so we’s got some time. Then, when Jack gets back we break it to him gentle, okay? Gentle. We’re talking damage control, get me?”
Davey watches this unfold with something like a cross between bemusement and annoyance. It’s certainly nice to be reminded that his friends are always ready to take up for him, but he can’t help but feel they’re overreacting: he’s more battered, dirty, and sore than he is truly injured.
Then there’s all the fuss about Jack.
He’s still not sure what everyone’s so worked up about. Newsies get into scrapes all the time, it comes with the job—what makes this any different? Sure, Jack will be mad that he’s hurt, but then Jack doesn’t like it when any of them get hurt. Frankly, Davey thinks he’ll be more upset about having to meet with Spot about the bunch of scabs in his midst: managing in-fighting between the boroughs is always a pain.
But he doesn’t get a chance to protest. Racetrack and Albert usher him upstairs and into one of the dormitories, one at each elbow like a pair of particularly scrappy bodyguards, with Les, Specs, and Romeo trailing close behind. They get Davey settled in, grabbing a stool from somewhere for him to sit up on.
“Maybe you should lie down?” Albert offers, and he’s actually wringing his hands, shifting anxiously from one foot to the other. “I feel like you should be lyin’ down.”
“Albert, I’m fine, honest—”
“We gotta clean his face up,” Racetrack asserts. “If Jack sees him all bloody like this he’s gonna flip his shit.”
“I’ll check if Kloppman can spare us some water,” Specs says, jumping to his feet.
“And get some rags!” Race calls after him. “Clean ones!”
“On it!”
“Guys, I really don’t think all this is necessary—”
“You should wrap his ribs,” Romeo says, “so that if they’s busted up, they heal right.”
“How do we know if they’s busted up?” Albert wonders.
“You could try asking me,” Davey says dryly.
“Do ya ribs feel busted up?” Albert asks him, utterly serious, the sarcasm missing him by a mile.
Davey rolls his eyes. “My ribs are fine.”
They mull this over for a second. Then Albert turns to Les, who is sitting on the lower bunk of the nearest bed and asks, “Are his ribs busted up?”
Les considers this, his legs kicking back and forth as he thinks. “They definitely got some good hits in,” he says decisively. “He was holding his left side like it hurt real bad.”
“You didn’t even see what happened,” Davey says, exasperated.
“We should go ahead and wrap ‘em, just to be safe,” Racetrack says.
“Oh my god—”
Specs comes barreling back into the room, a towel thrown over one shoulder and a bowl in his hands. He skids to such an abrupt stop that a bit of water slops over the side and onto the floor.
“It’s Jack!” he pants. “He’s back from Pulitzer’s and he must’a heard already because he looks mad as all hell—”
Jack enters like a thunderstorm rolling in over the horizon. His jaw is clenched so hard that it’s making the muscle in his neck twitch and his hands are balled into fists at his sides. His expression could have been carved out of stone.
“Boys,” he growls out, in a voice too flat and too even to be masking anything other than incredible anger, “I’m gonna need ya to give us the room.”
The others quickly file out, though Specs has the good sense to leave the supplies he’s gathered behind. Jack stops Racetrack in the doorway, murmuring something too quiet for Davey to hear, then jerks his head—a clear dismissal.
And then it’s just the two of them.
“Just so you know,” Davey starts, already attempting to pacify, “this is really not as big a deal as they’re making it out to be.”
“Racetrack is gonna walk Les home,” Jack says instead of responding. “That way he don’t have to sit around waiting.”
Davey frowns. “Waiting through what? No, Jack, it’s fine, I’m fine.”
Jack moves closer, standing so that he’s right in front of the stool Davey’s perched on, positioned directly between the vee of Davey’s thighs. A warm, calloused hand cups around Davey’s jaw and gently tips his head back; Davey's heart stutters and skips in his chest. Jack says nothing, but his eyes are molten as they scan across Davey’s face, taking in the cuts and bruises, the rapidly-forming black eye and the freshly-split lip.
He wipes a thumb delicately across the corner of Davey’s mouth and it comes away red. Davey blinks at this, surprised. He hadn’t realized he was still bleeding.
“I’m gonna have to disagree with you, Dave,” Jack eventually says, in a voice like cracking pavement, “because this is anything but fine.”
“Jack—”
“Stop,” Jack interrupts flatly, and Davey’s mouth clicks shut mid-protest. “Don’t, okay? You just sit there and— Jus’ sit there and let me look at ya.”
Jack reaches for the supplies Specs had gathered—he wets a rag, then rings it back out. He starts slowly and methodically cleaning the grime from Davey’s face, wiping away every last hint of blood and dirt until he’s satisfied.
When that’s finished, he begins taking stock of Davey’s more obvious injuries. He checks Davey's lip again, to see if it's started scabbing over. Next, he prods at the skin around Davey’s eye, then runs careful fingers around the high point of his cheekbone, the edge of his nose, the ridge of his brow; Davey grimaces when Jack brushes against a particularly tender spot, but otherwise submits patiently to the examination. He’s starting to realize that this is about something more than an unfortunate scrap.
“You’re gonna have one hell of a shiner,” Jack announces at long last, “but I don’t think nothin’s broken.”
“That’s what I figured,” Davey agrees, nodding slightly. “I told the guys that it wasn’t as bad as it seemed but they wouldn’t listen. Honestly, they were about to start wrapping my ribs just in case before you got here...”
Jack’s nostrils flare. Davey regrets opening his big mouth.
“And why would they be worried about your ribs?”
“Well—”
But Jack’s already moving. He gets a handful of buttons undone before Davey has the wherewithal to stop him, and then it’s too late. He wrestles Davey’s shirt open, then stills, jaw tightening.
Davey hasn’t had a chance to check himself over, but he doesn’t really need to—his aching torso and the expression on Jack’s face tell him all that he needs to know.
“Jack, look at me,” Davey says.
“I am looking,” Jack snarls. “Oh, believe me, I’m looking.”
“No, you’re looking at the bruises on my chest,” Davey corrects. “Look at me.”
Jack sucks in a rattling breath. He’s a long line of barely restrained fury, his hands shaking where they’re still fisted in Davey’s shirt; Davey’s own come up to cover them, and Jack’s grip relaxes slightly under the heat of his palms.
“Look at me, Jackie.”
Jack finally meets his eyes. This close Davey can see every last emotion swirling in those depths, and the intensity of it all threatens to take his breath away.
“Jackie, I’m okay,” Davey murmurs. “I’m fine, this is nothing, really, I had worse during the strike.”
“It’s not nothin’,” Jack snaps back. “It’s not fucking nothin’. They told me it was four to one, they told me it was other newsies, that they targeted you for ya earnings—”
He trails off, too angry to finish. Davey waits patiently for Jack to gather his thoughts, thumbing small circles into the backs of his hands to soothe him.
“No one should ever put their hands on you like that,” Jack continues, once he’s able. “Just thinking about it makes me wanna tear outta my skin.”
His expression shifts, taking on a more murderous edge.
“No, actually, it makes me wanna tear them outta they’s skins. God, they better’ve had the good sense to hightail it to Jersey after that stunt, because if I get my hands on 'em—if they ever so much as step a toe across the bridge again—I’ll make 'em sorry they ever even looked at ya wrong.”
“You will do no such thing,” Davey lightly chides. “You’re the leader of Manhattan, the president of the union. You’ve got to do this the diplomatic way: we’ll set up a meeting with Spot, just like we would anytime we’re having issues with another borough. You know you can’t just go in swinging anymore—that’s more trouble than it’s worth.”
“Not when it’s you,” Jack says quietly. Davey’s heart skips a nervous beat in his chest. “It’s always different when it’s you. Christ, Davey, don’t you know that by now?”
Davey can’t believe what he’s hearing. For a second he wonders if he’d hit his head harder than he thought; Jack can’t actually be saying what he thinks he’s saying.
“You...?”
Jack’s eyes dart away. “Yeah. You?”
Davey swallows. “Yeah.”
There’s a moment where they can’t quite look at each other, both processing the other’s confession. Then Davey lets out a little laugh, and the tension melts away.
“You know, Racetrack tried to warn me that you would, oh how did he put it, ‘flip your shit,’” Davey teases.
“Yeah, well, Racer’s too nosy for his own good,” Jack grumbles, but he can’t hide the smile that’s pulling at the corner of his mouth.
“Everyone else seemed to agree with him,” Davey continues slyly, “so whatever it was that gave you away, it must’ve been pretty obvious.”
“Then what does that make you, huh? Since you missed the obvious.”
“Lucky,” Davey answers simply. “Lucky that you care so much. Lucky that you…”
Davey doesn’t finish, but the implication hangs in the air, unspoken but real. Jack lifts Davey’s hand up and places a kiss to the inside of his wrist; Davey wonders if he can feel the way is pulse his fluttering through that brief contact. Then Jack shifts, both hands coming up to curl around either side of Davey’s face and reel him in even closer, pressing their foreheads together in wonderful intimacy. Davey’s own hands move to rest against Jack’s chest, his eyes drifting shut.
“Spend the night?” Jack asks after a few moments of comfortable silence. “Not to do anything, I mean we only just said— I just need ya to be close by for a while longer.”
“Of course I will, “ Davey promises into the scant space between them. “But Jack, I really am okay. I’m gonna be fine.”
“Yeah?” Jack whispers.
“Yeah.”

After a semester of student teaching for one of their college courses, it was time for summer, and Calum and Michael had decided to stay in town and hold down the apartment for their other two roommates who were electing to go home. Once finals had wrapped up and they said goodbye to the classes they’d been working with they began looking for jobs. They were both sitting in bed together when Michael found an available job working a summer day camp. The pair talked about it for a few minutes before applying, assuming playing games and mainly supervising kids would be easier than lesson planning and having to actually teach things. Plus they were excited by the possibility of seeing some of their kids again, so Calum pulled out his laptop and they sat side by side as they applied.
After about two weeks it was clear that this was different. For one thing, due to low staffing, the kids were all split up into three groups instead of one group per grade level. So now, even though Michael and Calum recognized some of the kids in their group, some of those kids who were bearable during the school year now had some slight sibling drama. Then there were the parents, something Michael and Calum had yet to deal with. Half of them were fine, nice people who cared about their kids and were happy to hear about their day during pick up. The other half, however, was a mix of Karens and Beckys, some of them stay at home moms who were just getting the kids out of the house so that they could go have margs with their girl friends and have a spa day to wash away the stress of the thought of them actually being parents. Some of them even had Michael wondering if he should go to the pharmacy and get a second flu shot for that year.
However, despite some of the parents they had to deal with and the occasional drama, both sibling spats and between groups of friends, Michael and Calum were really enjoying their summer job. They kept up their school year tradition of every other payday one taking the other out for a date night, whether it was as simple as going out to dinner and a movie, or a sunset picnic, or a nice night in the bowling alley.
It was five weeks in, and even with kids coming and going with the weeks, some just disappearing for a one week vacation, others having other camps to go to, things had steadied. It was a rainy Friday at the start of the Fourth of July weekend, so attendance was low to begin with, some kids leaving early. A few of the kids who were there were upset over swim time being cancelled on account of the thunder, but Calum had run down to the gym, claiming it for their group as a replacement for the hour of swimming.
Calum gone to set up the games and the crafts set up on the counter to dry until parents came, Michael and the other leader started a round of Heads Up Seven Up to keep things quiet and calm until Calum said he was ready. Finally, Calum radioed down that everything was ready and Michael got all the kids lined up, hovering to the back of the line as they made their way through the rec center to the gym. Once in the gym, the kids all gathered around Calum and he smiled saying, “Ok, since it’s a small group today, we’re doing stations. We’ve got two boxes of four square, two spots for basketball games, and then some jump ropes and hula hoops. I’m gonna put on some music and whenever it stops you have to move to a new station, alright?” The kids all cheered and Calum smiled continuing, “Alright, I’m going to give you each a number and that’s going to be the station you’re starting at, ok?”
Once the kids were all split up into groups and ready to start, Calum made his way over to the radio, pulling up a Kidz Bop only playlist on his phone that was already connected to the AUX jack and hitting play. The two men hovered around each other, eyes on the playing kids. After a few songs Michael hummed, “Can’t wait to go home and make dinner with legitimately any other playlist on.”
Calum smirked, hand coyly reaching up to rub Michael’s back, “Bold of you to assume that I won’t overtake the speaker and put this right back on.”
Michael shot his boyfriend a sharp look, filled with a threat that he couldn’t voice at work. Calum just bit his lip in response, pausing the music before a fifth song could play and calling out “Time to switch!”
They made it through three station changes before one of the kids from Michael’s class earlier that year came running over, “Mr. Michael!!! Come play HORSE with us!!”
Michael gave Calum a wide eyed stare as the other kids in the group came running over, grabbing him by his hands and dragging him over to their half of the basketball court.  He ended up making the first few easy shots, but then one of the kids made a shot from beyond the foul line. Calum could read the anxiety in his boyfriend’s face when it was his turn, silently begging the younger man to change stations early to rescue him.
Calum, however, remained strong, knowing an army of upset kids was worse than Michael missing the shot. At least, until he watched the blonde’s feet slip out from under him as he shot, toppling backwards onto the floor as the basketball fell to the ground halfway between him and the hoop.
Calum quickly jogged over, phone left on top of the radio. He helped Michael to his feet, the pair holding on maybe a second or two longer than necessary before Calum pulled away, “Need an ice pack?” he teased lightly as Michael rubbed the back of his head.
“Nah, I think I’ll live,” the blonde returned, smiling as the kids checked on him too. “Besides, I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but I have no idea what I’m doing. I almost never do, but especially with sports stuff.”
The kids all giggled at Michael’s response and Calum hummed. “Fine, I guess we can swap, then. Mike, you run the music and I’ll play HORSE. We’ve got until the end of this song before they need to switch again.”
Michael gave his boyfriend a teasing salute before going over to the music, tapping the screen to see how long until the song was over. He hummed as he saw texts from their group chat with Luke and Ashton. As soon as the song was over he paused the new one and made the switch stations call. Once the kids were all moving in the same direction, Calum getting pulled into four square, Michael opened the texts, using Calum’s passcode. He skimmed the latest line from Ashton, something about one of his plants. Michael just opened Calum’s camera, pulling the phone super close to his face for a picture.
Can’t talk, working right now. Plant update t-minus 3 hours.
As soon as the message sent Michael put the phone back down, watching on as Calum tried to take it easy on the kids, even if none of them returned the favor.  Calum ended up trapped at four square for the rest of the time in the gym, Michael jumping when he realized it was ten minutes past when they were supposed to be having afternoon snack. Calum gathered a kid from each group to help him get everything back in the equipment room, everything going away much quicker than it had come out, and soon enough they were back in the classroom.
Two hours later and there were three kids left out of all the groups, other leaders leaving Calum and Michael to wait with the kids in the game room while they cleaned the classrooms before clocking out. Calum was sitting in one of the chairs in front of a tv, a kid next to him in another chair as they played minecraft. Michael was sitting at the table with the other two kids, signout book by his elbow as he colored with them. Soon enough the two kids with Michael were going home with their stepdad and Michael picked up the crayons and extra sheets of paper. Once they were back in the closet he picked up the binder and meandered over to the xbox station.
Calum let out an exasperated sigh as Michael leaned up against the back of his chair, knocking down a stair block again. “Julien how do you get the stairs to go upside down like that dude?”
“You jus gotta fly over and like, plop a block and then aim for the top.” Julien explained.
“Oh gosh, I keep forgetting that we can fly right now...how do I do that again?”
Michael snorted and Calum spun around, giving him his best puppy eyes as he pouted, “I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but I have no idea what I’m doing. I almost never do.”
Michael chuckled softly as Calum repeated his earlier statement back to him. He shoved down the temptation to kiss the pout off of Calum’s lips, instead turning to look at Julien, “Are you enjoying explaining how to play Minecraft to Mr. Calum, Julien, or would you like some actual help with your treehouse?”
Julien’s face lit up as he looked up at Michael, “Please??”
Calum just shook his head in defeat, handing the controller over as Michael pulled up another chair, setting the binder in Calum’s lap as he leaned forward, listening as Julien explained his vision for the treehouse project.
Right as Calum was about to call the main office to let them know that there was still one kid at their site, Julien’s mom came running in. They chatted for a minute, Julien excitedly telling his mom about beating Michael at HORSE “because he fell down and Mr. Calum had to take over.”
Once Julien was sure he had all his stuff and they’d cleaned up, Michael and Calum went into the office, signing onto the tablet to log their hours for the day before making their way to the car. As they sat in their seats, Michael queuing up music for the drive home, Calum turned in his seat asking, “Does your head still hurt from knocking against the floor, Mikey?”
Michael hummed, glancing towards his boyfriend and then the ceiling as he pretended to think, “Maybe a little…”
Calum grinned, leaning over, gently pushing Michael’s head so he could smooch the back of it. “Better?”
Michael smiled, shaking his head no and tapping his cheek next, then his nose, and then his lips, each one following a new kiss from Calum in the previously tapped place. Michael sighed when Calum broke the kiss to his lips too soon for his liking. “More kisses when we get home, I promise.” Calum teased easily, finally pulling his seatbelt over his shoulder.
“I can live with that. Want me to teach you Minecraft after dinner, or were you enjoying Julien telling you what to do?”
“Maybe if you can properly motivate me I’ll learn it.” Calum said, wiggling his dark eyebrows at Michael.
“So long as you don’t forget afterwards,” Michael said, grin spreading his cheeks as he put the car in drive and began the route home.

An old thing 5
First
Continued from here
I´m quite proud of this part. Do you remember the Walmart man? Yeah. More angst and sick fic than whump, but there.
CW// Non Con, Dub Con, NS*W at times, dehumanization, slavery, human trafficking, escape attempt, blood, broken noses, implied death, regain of identity, whump of minors, manhandling, prong collar, past torture, creepy and explosive whumpers, physical and emotional abuse.
Everything will be tagged and if there´s tags to be added, tell me please.
Dimitri was speechless.
“Can you repeat that, please?” He said.
“You’re too close with Kit, we’re gonna send you to a vacation house. Dont worry about Roahn, you will see her when it’s the mounting” Layo said across the table. Kit and Danae were playing outside.
“Im…I…when?” He asked visibly stressed.
“Maybe on saturday. The vacation house is on the other side of the country, next to Sunnyhills Beach, I think you know whose property is it”
Dimitri knew.
His last master before them.
The one who had tried to kill him with the prongs collar.
“His son will be taking good care of you, so you better behave and do as he says understood? He wont accept escapes like us. You know his methods already anyways, you will know whats better for you” He said sipping on his coffee. “Ah, but you’re still ours. If he thinks he is entitled to damage you, He wont see the end of it”
“U-Understood…” Dimitri said still cleaning his plates. He had time. If he hurried up, maybe he could escape tomorrow. While they were on their cocktail party.
“I gotta believe I can do it” He told himself
Report came and Dimitri explained how he could the plan for the next day to Kit. How he would take him to that place.
“With Jen and Roahn?”
“Yes with them too” he smiled. “But you gotta tell me if they’re sleeping”
“Master was drinking a lot and Master was already asleep”
“Alright Kit. Ill show you something but you must not say anything ok?”
“Ok!”
He took out the improvised key from a vase and tainted the lock until he opened it.
“You could get out all this time?”
He sighed “No. Only on important moments. Now shhh” he put his finger on his mouth. “Come on Ill get you to your room but silence”
Kit put his lips together and followed him to his room. An spacious yet small little place with only the necessary and some toys. He was relieved he didnt live like them.
Dimitri put him to sleep.
“Goodnight Dimitri see you tomorrow?”
“Goodnight Kit. See you tomorrow” he said as he gave him a kiss on his forehead.
He closed the door silently.
Silent as a mouse, he went to his office. In all those years they had never guessed he had a key. So they had never bothered to lock the office. Dimitri knew perfectly where the copies were, but he knew keeping them would be too evident so he took them and made an improvised and quick copy of them with plaster.
He only needed to wait a few hours for it to harden.
He went as fast as he had gotten in but heard steps and hid quickly.
“Fuck…” Layo’s voice. He was going to the bathroom. And he would pass around the office for that.
Dimitri breathed quickly as he noticed. Was it that way he would end up? He took a stone decoration from a table and was ready to smash it on his head when he heard:
“Master? I can’t sleep!” Kit cried.
“What the…go to bed, Kit” the man said walking towards him.
“I can’t! Tell me a story! please, master!”
“Ugh what a pain is one am…Alright, Alright, coming go to your bed, Ill go take a piss before that…”
Dimitri held tight to the artifact.
“No!! Now!!”
“Argh! What a kid! Ok ok” he heard the door shutting.
Dimitri left the stone on its place and ran quietly to the cell. He closed it again and started working.
At 7 am it was ready. Later, Dimitri was preparing their masters for a full day outside when Layo said:
“Dont try anything funny Ok?” As he was locked up again. He had to hold the urge to laugh on his face.
“Understood”
Kit came running down a few minutes later.
“They’re gone!” He had told him.
Dimitri stood up. With backpacks on hand.
“Its time, Kit”
Dimitri got out of the cell and went upstairs. The house was empty. Or so it seemed.
“Kit” Dimitri held the boy’s small shoulders “I need you to go check on the door if there’s somebody. I’ll go get them ok? If theres someone dont scream it” he took the house phone and made it ring pressing a button “you do this and let the phone ring three times. Alright?”
The kid nodded. Dimitri gave him his binoculars back.
“Go see, explorer” he told him before the kid ran off.
He then made a little jump and sprinted towards the stairs. He went to the door where Roahn was and knocked three times. Her voice was husky.
“Dimitri?” She called
“Roahn, it’s me. We’ve gotta go. Now. Can you handle it?” He asked her through the door. A cough.
“Yeah” she said “always”
“We will take you to a doctor. I swear.” He said looking down and putting the keys on.
Roahn had been very sick for weeks. She couldnt give her enough milk and was very weak. Refusing to eat even. Miraculously, Jen was healthier than ever.
Finally the door opened and Roahn had her baby on her skinny arms. Eyebags dark in her face. Yet the light on her eyes were strong. He held her after giving her a hug.
“Lets go” he said as he helped her walk through the house. “Kit is waiting” that line made her sob happily.
“Our baby…” she said looking nowhere
They streamed downstairs, Roahn almost falling at various times due her legs not being able to move correctly. However Dimitri was there to hold her.
When they finally reached the kitchen Kit was waiting for them.
“Nobody on sight!” He said as if he was a sailor.
“Good” Dimitri told him “Kit, help Roahn out a bit would you?” He said putting her down to open the door. Kit sat besides Roahn and asked her if she was Alright to which she responded with a smile. Dimitri held the concrete key on his hand and inhaling deeply he unlocked the door.
The clicking sound of freedom was on his ears as if it was music.
-
The four of them stepped out of the house to the secondary door. Not before putting coats with hoodies that covered their faces. Then they ran. Quietly, agitatedly, desperately. The four of them reached the door withut problems.
There was no one apparently.
The door was in a vine wall. It was easy to pass through it because the key Dimitri had was a copy of the master key he used to buy groceries.
He held them down for a bit while he opened the door. It was the last thing.
The last.
When he opened the door he saw the street and a fist on his direction. A man in black suit punched him making him fall. Roahn and Kit immediately tried to run away from the man, but Dimitri, even when hazy due the pain, used a close by rock to knock the guy out by hitting his head. The man fell and Dimitri was alert to anybody else coming to try and stop them. But there was no one.
“Roahn!! Kit! Its ok!” He yelled with blood going down his nose. They went out of their hiding spot and went back to Dimitri.
“Are you ok?” Roahn said cleaning the blood off his face and stuffing his nose with tissues.
“Yes, we just need to go now” he told her holding her hand a second.
“Is he dead?” Kit asked without taking his eyes off the fallen man. Blood came out of his ears.
“No” Dimitri answered him taking the kid by his hand and running past the body “he’s just unconscious”
They ran and ran and ran until they were on a plaza with a supermarket and a pharmacy.
They were free.
“Now where?” Roahn asked him visibly tired.
Dimitri took a look at Roahn holding Jen like she was a precious stone. Impressively calm. Kit was amazed by everything he saw.
“Now…we take these off” he told her taking his hands to his neck. Feeling the belt like collar and undoing it. He took it out carefully and slowly. Holding it in his hands, Kit could see clearly the old scars on his neck. It grossed the kid to think about how he got such hideous scars.
Dimitri knelt down to Kit and took his collar off too. Kit felt lighter than usual and couldn’t hold the instinct to touch his now free neck.
Dimitri smiled a bit and ruffled his hair before doing the same to Roahn.
Roahn dropped a tear when she felt that lightness on her neck. They looked at each other’s eyes for a second but Roahn pulled him closer and gave him a kiss on his neck and then on his lips.
“Yikes” said Kit watching them. They looked at the kid and laughed.
“Sorry Kit” Dimitri laughed.
“What about looking around for a place to stay, hun?” Roahn asked sweating cold. “We’re tired and we will need to hide for a bit…” she said.
“You feeling ok, Ro?” He asked him cupping her face with his hands. She nodded slowly “We will take the bus to Keith City, I’ll go buy the tickets and have a doctor check on you there ok?”
“Ok” she said.
Suddenly Jen started revolving and slapping Roahn’s face.
“Hey hey what is it Jen?” She asked her. Kit moving towards her.
“Dont cry Jen! It will be alright!” The kid said.
“Is she hungry?” Dimitri asked. Roahn blushed in embarrassment.
“I cant… feed her. I need some baby milk powder. Do we have some?” She asked Dimitri.
He started to search but it was in vain and he knew it.
“Kit” the kid shoot his head up from trying to comfort the now crying baby “could you tell that man there where could we get an electric chair for Roahn?” He asked signaling a person with a supermarket uniform not that far away.
The kid ran to him and asked him. The man was almost a geezer but his smile was really bright.
“It’s for your mommy there? Is she alright?” He asked Kit.
“Eh…Roahn? I hope so…” the kid said unsettling the man a bit.
“Not your mom? Its your auntie then? You two look alike a lot” he said again pulling the electric chair to the woman.
“We-we do?” Kit said finding himself a question.
“Here it is lady. Everything alright? You look a bit pale ma’am” he said helping her get into the chair.
“Yes, sir” she answered him not conscious of her formality.
The man found the people on his view with a woman with baby on arms crying out loud, the many bags and the very attractive man with tissues on his nose very strange. But it was a walmart. He had seen all kind of people go there. So he just walked away.
They put some of the bags in the electric chair and the others on the package service. Then they entered the market. Dimitri was used to go so he wasn’t as excited as the others. Yet he couldn’t hide his happiness of not feeling that uncomfortable thing on his neck. It was now in the trash. They went through the isles calming the baby with a toy that hypnotized her long enough for them to look at everything. Kit was amazed. Asking questions about this and that. Roahn looked at the pharmacy isle where there should be a doctor with longing. Dimitri didnt notice as he was coming back with baby milk powder on his hands.
In the end they bought a few more things. Like the toy and a magazine for Kit. As well as painkillers. The cashier recognized him and greeted him “Good morning!” Dimitri greeted back. “Is that your family?” The teen asked looking at Kit showing Roahn an article from his magazine.
“Yes” he answered blushing.
“Your kid is very energetic” she remarked.
“He is!” He laughed a bit “excuse me, Lana, where would I get bus tickets? We’re going to Keith City to visit my wife’s sister, but my card doesnt seem to work now…”
“Oh! Here would be fine. Two adults and a kid right?”
Dimitri payed for the bus tickets that would depart in two hours and met Roahn and Kit.
Roahn was a bit uncomfortable to leave the chair, but they got a taxi to the bus station so she didnt have to walk any longer. She was now green.
“Everything alright ma’am?” The taxi driver asked her while Dimitri fed Jen.
“Y-yes, sir. No need to worry. Thank you” she answered.
Kit extended his bag of chips to her.
“Want one Roahn? You dont look good…” He said.
“Im alright Kit. Just tired, that’s all” she ruffled his hair. Kit pulling it down annoyed. “Ill be taking one, though” she said eating a chip slowly.
She rested her head On Dimitri’s shoulder who gave her a kiss on her forehead.
“Im not ok” she mumbled.
“We will get you a doctor there I promise” he whispered to her, giving her a kiss.
The rest of the way Kit talked with the driver asking him questions about his travels.
When they arrived at the bus station, they were good friends.
They got there just in time and went up the bus. It was a four hour ride, but all of them were exhausted and fell asleep as soon as the bus started moving.
Dimitri woke up an hour before getting there.
It was the first time he didn’t have a collar and walked around freely. It had been strange for him to book sits because of his lacking of last name. But he had come up with one last second.
His name was Dimitri Holberg.
Maybe it was made up, but he had an identity now. He wasn’t bee, yellow, dog or dildo.
He was a human being and his name was Dimitri Holberg.
He had a family and a mission to reunite them all.
With determination they arrived at Keith’s city.

                   ----------------------------------------------------------------------
The sky was covered with soft cotton candy like clouds, tinted in the colors of the ending day. Oranges, reds, blues, yellows, you name it it was there. The wind was warm and but a whispering tender sensation over your exposed skin. The grass pillowing your body under the roughly placed cover, as your head moved up and down by Yoongi’s breath. Laying onto him felt like a antidepressant pill to you.Time had stopped. He was leaning onto his left arm as you both were looking up at the sky. His free hand from time to time brushing over your hair.
“Your mom is calling.” he said taking a glance at your lit up phone screen
“Leave it.” you didn’t even use all the breath in your lungs with this sentence.
“Shouldn’t you pick up tho? I mean she is your mom.” Yoongi’s eyes now focused onto you
“Nah man, she is probably mad at me for something. My mom or not, good or shitty relationship, no matter how much parents say ‘i understand you’ or ‘i was your age once too’ .It never works, telling them anything ends up being a pain in the ass later. Asking for help when you fuck up is the same.” you tried following a lonely cloud with the corner of your eye
“I guess them not accepting that something is wrong with their kids is a defense mechanism.”
“That fucks us up tho. Just because they want to lie to themselves to feel better, leaves their kids untreated and undiagnosed ,messing them up. Years of being bullied and not knowing why, can’t study even if they try, can’t be themselves. Such an easy solution, yet such a hard choice to make to take the first step.” you sighed as you spoke out, a bit of disappointment mixed in with your breath.
“Ha ha ha.” Yoongi laughed under his nose before laying back down
“The fuck did I say?” you cut him off, thinking the giggle was a bit displaced in this talk
“And when you take the first step? What then? The so called professionals lie to us too, give us chemistry and tell us all will be ok as they turn us into addicts to fake serotonin. Psychologists? The word comes from Greek meaning the study of the soul, yet those assholes look at us as bags of meat that you can stuff with pills. Yet we would do anything to get that drop of calmness, that feeling of being a bit happy for being alive right now. And when the effect passes? You want more and more, pill after pill, pharmacy after pharmacy. What difference is there between us people with anxiety and disorders and drug addicts? The medical degree probably.”
You smirked after his last words “ Not all doctors are bad, but you can feel how genuine they are, the rest are health merchants. I don’t think there was a difference in the first place. Drugs, alcohol, smoking fuck it, even sex, man. It’s all to fill that void with dopamine, serotonin and all the bio crap.”
“Isn’t that chemistry tho?”
“We learned it in biology class so it’s bio to me. Do I look like a professor to you?” you rolled over and flicked his nose earning a ‘yah!’ “Hey.”
“Wasup?” Yoongi pulled his hand from under his head and spread his arms wide like a star in the vast sky.
“You know that thing where people ask you, if you saw your younger self in front of you right now and they were having the same feelings as you. What would you do?”
“I don’t know honestly, probably give the little guy a hug and some money ,or buy him something to eat. Someone out there for sure has it shittier than me, but I guess one of my mistakes was to undervalue my own emotions and mental state. Fuck, i got myself in such a hole. When people say ‘after you hit the bottom there is no where more to go but up’ , honestly that is straight up crap and bullshit. Some of us keep clawing and digging fearing that there is more to come. “
“Ah.” a memory popped up in your head on it’s own “That shit hole. Yeah, either you lose yourself laying there with bloody fingernails and hands, or you start crawling back up like a bug. You know, the blood is gonna stain the walls so next time you fall you will remember and catch yourself...if you make it that far.” lifting your hand, you covered a bit of the sky with it, noticing the colors around it “What about the times we reach out but no one grabs on?”
“Fuck! Y/N! We were supposed to have a nice walk in the park not a whole ass depressing talk session!” Yoongi hissed out, unlike his words his voice wasn’t angry
“Oh come on, you know that somehow we always end up talking about this shit.We are both broken pieces, but I think that isn’t bad at all.” you felt his breath stop under you for a split second “I feel like that is why we fit so well together.”
“Oh for real?” he asked a bit surprised by your words “I always thought it was because we were both hella toxic.” you swung your hand and hit him in the stomach “OOF!” he folded in half, sending you sitting up “I forgot how aggressive you were too.” Yoongi’s voice was coming from between his teeth.
“I am serious! I feel like we went through our hard times and learned to manage, that is why we can talk about all these things like this.”
“Makes sense, we were each other’s shoulder. You start falling, I pull on you and the other way around.”
You noticed the contagious smirk on his face that mirrored onto you almost instantly “We fall together, we crawl back up together. Damn we sound inspirational.”
“I told you! We should make one of those vlog channels where people wake up at 5 am looking like damn models, meditate and finish all their work before 11am.” throwing your body back you fell onto the cover, but Yoongi didn’t join you. He staid sitting, letting you focus on his back as he continued “You know we are losers, right?”
“The biggest losers out there.”
He looked towards the sky letting the wind play with his hair, when suddenly you both burst out laughing. Your voices were so loud the birds flew away. “Yeah, we are.”
“Honestly tho Yoongs. Why did we care so much what people thought of us? I mean sometimes I still do but-”
“Same, same.”
“Don’t cut me off stupid!” you kicked him a bit “As I was saying!” you emphasized on ‘saying’ ,when he pinched your leg in retaliation a couple of times “Body types, dudes, girls, genderfluid or no gender at all. Being cute or stylish, pretty or ugly, was a mad waste of time. The nerd is gonna probably become rich, the ugly people will end up becoming better lookin that those basic Karens. I swear, even with all that bulling and people wanting be to be the top. With or without them the Earth keeps spinning .”
“Did you just discriminate flat earth people!?” he gasped cartoonish “Y/N, i didn’t know you were this type of person.”
“Yah! You really out here trying to cancel your best friend, Min Yoongi!”
“You don’t need me to do that, you already do it yourself with the stuff you say.”
“Says you, loser.” your words made him lean onto his elbow next to you, eyes focused on your face as the colors of the sky began fading over your bodies and skin
“I like that word, loser.” he said “It sounds rude, but at the same time no one calls you that if you aren’t different. Different means unique, special. Who tf would want to be the same as others?”
“That was us too stupid, back then.” Yoongi pocked your cheek a couple of times gently
“Yeah, but it’s not back then anymore Y/N. It’s now. We grew up. With our jaw and fist clenched we fought and made it here. They shot at us, they threw rocks and called us cowards, weirdos. But we made it through the darkness. After all that we are and will forever be bulletproof.” the sudden rustle of the grass under you two signaled him getting up and spinning, hands to the side. His head leaned back and he looked so happy. Yoongi’s eyes were closed, he could fall and not even notice, but he wasn’t afraid no more. Whatever happens will happen.
“You make us sound hella dope man. I love it.”
“Anxiety, social issues, any kind of mental problems and disorders. They level us up, as long as we try. At the end of the day you lose something to win something.”
“The end of the chapter is the beginning of the next.” you began to notice he was starting to lose balance from all that spinning around “Hey stupid, you will fall and hurt yourself like th-” you couldn’t even finish the sentence when his legs tangled up and he fell onto you “You ok?!That was such a stupid move! Open your eyes next time!”
“Why?” he became serious, his eyes looking into yours. Yoongi crooked his head to the side,as his fingers caressed your cheek “If I was looking I would have been too afraid to fall. At the end of it all i ended up failing and found a little angel. See? Win win to me. You can’t always see where you are going, but you gotta believe that good things are on the other side.”
“You are bleeding, that is what is on this side.”
“I am WHAT!” his forehead was a bit scratched “Damn it! My handsome face!”
“Oh come on! Wait till I glow up like that! I will get the best looking SO out there.” the child in you was pouting at Yoongi
“You know damn well we are too messed up for a relationship with others. We try and try, get used and then we either lose interest, or fall completely out of love for months. By the way...” his fingers found your cheek again, but this time it wasn’t a gentle poke but a sharp pinch. Your hands flew in the direction of his arm to try and make him let go of you. “Who told you you don’t look good?”
“Ow ow Yoongi! Let me go!!!”
“Not until you tell me who said all that crap to you!?” prying yourself from his grip you continued rubbing the now red and warm spot
“People i liked or others in general. You know how shit goes.”
“You for real need to get your eyes checked! People stare at you when you walk by cus you look TOO good.” his words were like a low growl of a jealous pet
“Nah man, they are either judging me or they want to fight me. There is no middle ground here.”
“You really!” with all the power in his hand he flicked your forehead
“Stop inflicting me wounds!”
“Then stop talking shit about yourself! I swear your bodydismorphia needs to join Jimin when he has talk sessions about his day with Hoseok.Plus, people do stare at you when you walk in town in the attracted way. On our way here at least 5 people turned back and continued looking.”
“Ew creepy!” you said “Why do you count them!”
“You little!!!Come here!” your neck found itself in a chokehold in a matter of seconds
“HYUNG!”Jungkook’s voice echoed through the park reaching your direction “Y/N AND YOONGI ARE BEING THE DEPRESSED AND FLIRTY AGAIN!”
“This kid I swear I will kill him some time soon!” you hissed at Jungkook
“You two really can’t drop this habit.” the slow and calm footsteps pulled your attention and soon subsided your anger
“Joon, you know how we are.” you added, leaning back onto you elbows
“I know, we are all like that.” Joon looked at you two sitting on the ground
“Y/N is right, broken pieces do find each other.” Yoongi added, but Joon sighed and rubbed the back of his head. He squatted down eye level
“Broken pieces find each other because they fit together and make a beautiful new bottle that they can fill up with happy memories. Our sad and hard pasts make us titanium that can’t be broken. Even if one of us cracks, we are all going to help him become stronger.” he reached his hand out, standing up “ You are not alone Y/N, we are going to be forever titanium. You have us and we have you now. We are not lonely or misérables with you.”
“WE ARE BULLETPROOF GUYS!” Jungkook yelled out again
“Yeah...we are.” with a smile shining brighter than ever ,you grabbed Joon’s hand.He pulled you up as you were holding onto Yoongi. When the chain starts no one can cut the bond. We pull each other up...is what you realized.
“Oh and.”
“Yes Joons?”
“Can you two date already or at least go out on a date. It hurts looking at yall like this.”
“What!?” the blanket in your hand turned into weapon as you began hitting him with it in a moment of panic. His words hit a nerve.Yoongi wasn’t the one to rush or to run. With his hands in his pockets he followed you down the hill. His footsteps stopped for a moment to look at the now dark sky.
We may not be able to see the stars during the day, but at night they are too many to even count. Nothing is truly hidden forever, even who you are meant to be. It’s ok not to know now or later. When we are young we dont really know. We try to fit in a mold that was created, but we can’t, we just can’t no matter how much we try.
We end up being labeled by the things we are different. Some come from a darker past, others don’t. Yet everyone is important, the way they feel, their emotions and inner state. If I could, I would grab your hand and show you a bit of the future. Think of this, your future self, the one that did it all finally and continues to dream big, is looking at you through memories. They grab your hand and push you forward towards the good. The tunnel may be dark, cold, lonesome and scary but it always leads to something. Just don’t give up.
Regret, unsuccessful love, residual feelings for someone who used you. They are all a stepping stone, don’t look at them. Now you know what not to do, EXP( experience points)  come in many forms honey. Be who you want to be, life is yours. Be the main character in your story, not anyone else’s. Even if you fall sometimes, show everyone how amazing you are by standing up. Baby steps turn into miles, whispers become yelling, crawling becomes flying. Breaking the mold becomes you.
