Layered Striped Tee (And Name Tag Accessory)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I finally got my shirt frankenmesh to work 99%. The 1% is some minor clipping in some poses at some physiques, but basic walking did not clip on any of them. I tried to minimize clipping as much as possible, but I am a mere beginner in the realm of mesh editing, the fact that it didn't crash my game or take me 7 months to complete is a miracle to me. I mean it is just a basic layered tee, but still. Last time I tried was a lot more complicated. Still took me even 26 Blender files in the final version but nevermind. Nothing but mad respect to the CC makers that can pump out three dozen brand new meshes within a month, you deserve to get paid, I suck. Anyway this is from the ATL MV for Some Kind Of Disaster. I both didn't like any vanilla layered shirt meshes and also didn't wanna use someone else's mesh as I'm stubborn and refuse to make others download something someone else made to use my crazzy recolors, so I combined two meshes into one. And if you wanna know what part of this is cobbled, it's the short sleeves, that's all I added, to a long sleeved tee base, yup. The texture of course is by me too. I lost my GIMP files for it somewhere in between 2 power outages as I didn't save I guess so I hope I am okay with these stripes and colors as I am not doing it a third time. I tried on another mesh base first and hated it.
While it's based one exactly one from one thing, because it's so general, I made 12 other swatches, changing the blue(?) shirt to other colors. I still made it, for Alex, not anyone else, but it's not like I didn't share that hoodie I made for him either. Maybe some day I'll make plain colors too, but for now I don't feel like it.

That name tag is NOT part of the shirt, it is its own thing, an accessory, albeit a flat one. Using the left index finger ring slot because I didn't know where else to put it and didn't want it to conflict with a bracelet or come off in sex. Custom thumbnail in CAS so you can, you know, see it.
Works for all it's just a flat 2d texture. 11 Swatches, all the name tags from the MV linked above. I made it double resolution and it still looks blurry! Not much can be done about that. I made this not marked for random, but it is marked for situation, as the idea of a random Sim wearing a name tag that says "loser" at a festival is deeply hilarious to me and I hope it happens. Name tag is two words but that was not how I typed it all this time until now.

[04:24 am] “what are we?”
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
wc: 2.3k
a/n: [fluff viktor brainrot thanks to @dilemmars. t dije q me vengaría baby, así q zas, un payback por tus podcasts jdjfjjsd. hope u like cause its ur fault]
Tumblr media
he’s humming something you don’t quite understand, a distant tune that sounds familiar —probably you’ve heard him sing it before—, and even if you don’t recognize the melody aside from that, you can’t help but appreciate it.
his hands fidget with whatever he can reach as he sighs once more, as if he was stealing breaths from the world, heavy, almost as lidded as his eyelids. his hair falls on his eyes and in between his slender fingers while he curls the untamed strands, and you fall into an endless pit of staring at him as he scribbles, grunts, sighs, and finally pinches the bridge of his nose.
“statistically speaking, i’m starting to feel like the chances of me getting this right are adversatively proportional to the chances of you accidentally swallowing a fly.”
and you just blink, once, then twice.
he stares at you, gives you a pointed look. he can’t really say if you understood that you were just staring at him with your mouth parted, but you squint at him, snickering.
“what,” his low voice fails to ask, unbothered, knowing that you’ll answer regardless.
and you do, answering. “you haven’t even uttered a word in a while. i was just surprised that you could still talk, is all,” you grin cheekily, playing with a screw on the table as you turn left and right on the chair you’re sitting on.
viktor looks at you, and he can’t help but crack a smile. point for you.
“what you laughing for, mhh, mister science?”
“isn’t it enough to bother me from the moment i get inside the lab in the morning that you need to do it at night too?” he pretends seriousness, side-eyeing you teasingly.
“fair enough. i will consider your offer, man of fleeting memory, and take it upon myself to bother you longer.”
his mean stare wouldn’t even make a kitten mewl, but you take you hand to your heart, pretending to be wounded.
“don’t look at me like that! you’ll hurt my feewings,” you pouted, much to his amusement.
“fleeting memory?” he scoffs, accent rolling off his tongue. “when’s the last time you lost a hairtie, mmh?” he mocks.
“unfair!” you can’t help but giggle as you pretend to hide your hair from his view. point for him. “besides. i take better care of my hair than you do of yours.” you pouted smuggly. “mine looks prettier.”
“what?” he finally asks, letting out a chuckle this time as his eyes land on you for the first time in the good part of an hour.
you play with your hair to style it, and funnily pose, hands on your cheeks as you lay your elbows on the table.
“what, don’t I look pretty?” you smiled, letting out a cheeky giggle.
yes. he doesn’t say it, but his eyes haven’t dodged back to his papers just yet. it’s another point for you. so very pretty.
he doesn’t dare. he knows it. his mind, or at least the small portion of his mind that still ties him with the occasional reminder that he’s human, looks at you and wants you in a way that he’s never wanted before.
so viktor resolves in looking at you. maybe only for a moment, maybe only on those fragments of time when he’s tired enough that he looks at the stars and at the moon, yearning to reach them, only to think he’ll miss the moonlight, finally blinking to the realization that he had been staring into your eyes for too long.
his eyes are dull as he stares at you, and your expression of worry at the fact makes his heart skip a beat. “viktor?” you mumble, softly, sleepily, warily. he can’t stop staring at you, and while he supposes success and defeat can look the same in a mirror —therefore, he doesn’t really blame your confusion—, he finds no words to explain which one he’s feeling as you move your chair towards him by a push against the floor, solely accompanied by the sound of the little wheels rolling to him.
he grabs his walking stick and turns it around, pretending to poke at your chair, as if to teasingly shove it away. if you realize that he settles the walking stick just in the correct place so that your stool can’t move back, he doesn’t know. viktor just stares at the floor, to pretend that maybe the way your eyes turn tender when his reflection shines on them has nothing to do with what you’re about to say.
tsk, tsk. clueless viktor.
he’s expecting it, yes, but even with that on mind, he can’t phathom how your course of action chooses laughing as you fidget with the loose button on his vest, the second one from the top down. viktor purposely forces himself to stable his breathing, worry seeping into him, thinking that maybe you could feel his heartbeat grow faster beneath the layers of clothing.
and he feels like the remnants of a cheap ring that stain a finger blue, when comparing himself as he stands —sits— close and next to you. maybe its because you usually wear rings, and he can feel the ghost of them as your hand trails up and absentmindedly fixes his collar.
he can almost see it. your mind working, the pieces falling into place, the—
“either my eyes are deceiving me or yours have been on my lips for a rather long time.”
and he can just. blink. as if that could break how mesmerized he feels, how his heart swells up and covers his throat, how inexplicably he feels when you’re with him, near and alone. the need to know more. the need to use every trinket and screw to map out your body for him to explore, and to map out the wonders of your mind for the world to admire and maybe then find out the reason of his inability to look away.
he was so focused before. used to be.
he is. now, at you. of you. on you.
you.
another point for you. he isn’t keeping count, but something tells him he’s losing.
and as his gaze falls back to your lips in between a battle against your eyes, lost in which to stare and sink into their devotion, he hesitates again.
he thinks its funny. so funny, viktor holds back the dry chuckle that threatens to go past his lips. how to cherish you in a way that matters. how to love, the scientist wonders. is there a way that would allow him to unveil and unravel himself to you? could there be some kind of language, able to express the depth of his insides, that you, too, could understand?
what is love, anyways? is he in love with you because his coffee tastes better when it matches the dark of your pupils? because when he takes the mug from your hand and his fingers brush against yours, it seems warmer? because he notices how the dark shade in your eyes seems to mix with that of your irises, and the way the black eats the colour when you stare at him? because he claims to hate company while he studies alone, but one chair remains empty as he works, waiting for who it was meant for? because when he fails and surrenders himself to the fall, throws his walking stick against the wall, he yearns for your embrace and how your hair smells in the evenings?
is that love? and if it is, could you understand it?
if it is love, and he could say it, would such a short word convey its meaning, or was he speculating just a couple of paragraphs ago? was he assuming the meaning of what love entails?
even so. if he said it, would you repeat it? would you claim you love him because he loves you, claim to love him too? would you instead claim to love him despite everything, even the uncertainty of love itself?
…does he accept it himself?
he’s overwhelmed by the sheer amount of voices in his head. there’s too much chatter. too many questions he can’t answer, too many commas, too many question marks. too much, too much, too many.
so he silences them. makes the voices dim to a deep silence. and when his lips find themselves suddenly against yours, he finds out the true, effervescent meaning of quietness.
his hand fails to pull you closer because of the damn walking stick that gets in the way. or maybe its the chairs you’re both on that clash against each other. maybe its matter itself. for a while, its the first time viktor doesn’t want to know.
in a bold statement, he couldn’t give a fuck.
he’s kissing you.
and it should be bad because of all the unanswered questions. he’s skipping procedure. he’s gone from the fuck around to finding out and he doesn’t know where he is at this point.
what he does know, is that your hand pulls him by his necktie, and he’s gone. science? yours only. the science that he’d study all of the nights he may have left. the science behind what makes you. the science behind how your hand craddles his face while stroking his cheekbones. the science behind how you’re the closest you’ve ever been to him and somehow still not close enough. the science behind the reason why when you pull away makes his heart beat so loudly, as if it had forgotten how to a second ago.
your forehead rests against his. he shouldn’t have done that. he just… did it. maybe that was bad. was it? could it be? he had been waiting for so long too. he never thought he would…
“viktor, what are we?”
and he’s dead. he knows what the question implies, but he doesn’t want to answer. he could follow you like a lost puppy through piltover and zaun and hell knows where else. if he wasn’t dead now he would die right there and now without a second thought, because the feeling that overcame him was that love was suddenly a sentence or two away.
he knows he doesn’t dare. it’s one of the only thing he knows, one of the things he’s sure of.
but somehow, he moves. he stands up, takes the walking stick, and attempts to walk out the feeling that bounces inside him.
the walking stick always makes a noise when he walks, one with dificulties to interpret in terms of onomatopeia. not quite a thud, not deep enough to reach that quality. not a clack, for it is not entirely made of metal. still, as if it was a mix of both, he keeps walking.
viktor is nervous. thud-clack. he’s not moving far from his chair, nor is he going somewhere else. thud-clack. he still keeps pacing. thud-clack. maybe the answer is somewhere in the room. thud-clack. maybe he can reply.
thud-clack, thud-clack, thud-clack.
only does he then realize that he hasn’t answered your question. and a non-answer statement might as well be a rejection.
no. no, no, no. fuck.
he’s sitting again, but you stand up. your hair follows, long. moving and brushing against the skin of your shoulders in a way that he can’t help but claim it to be endearing.
you’re walking. you don’t make any kind of extra sound when you walk. your heels reverberate against the floor like any other, yet also they mark the beat of his heart.
he can’t reach for you. you walk too fast.
you stop when you feel the walking stick on your side. the part made for him to lean on as he walks hooks you, and you stand, not facing him.
he doesn’t use the walking stick as he stands. no, he keeps it hooked to your core, scared that you might leave. you could, he wouldn’t blame you. but he can’t allow it.
he holds it in the air as he takes one step. another step. you’re turning, surprised to see him standing, and you gasp when he lets himself fall on you.
your touch surrounds him. yes. that’s the closeness he needed. he drops the walking stick, his hands slithering on your body, pressing you against him, for no reason at all yet because it is all needs.
“what can we be?” he whispers. he takes the science approach. the viktor approach.
he isn’t too clueless after all.
he raises enough to look at your darkened, sleepy eyes. he wants to drown in them.
“if i wanted to kiss you everytime you hand me coffee, wanted you to sit on the same chair as ne and hug me from behind as I work, wanted you.” he swallows dry. “then, what can we be?”
he doesn’t want to say the words, and its petty.
it’s the 31st when the clock strickes five am and your hands travel through his hair to kiss him again. to unbalance him enough that he falls back on his chair and you follow him, sitting on his lap.
and as he kisses you, his hands worshipping the skin he can touch, the warmth he can feel through layers of clothing, he feels like maybe there’s a life worth living, so he can’t ask.
he’s heard boys and girls when he was young talk about it. “he didn’t want to celebrate our month-versary,” a girl cried as he played with his little boat, watching from afar as she was comforted by her friend.
it’s the 31st. and he can’t really ask the question now, because if he says it, how could you celebrate each month?
he moves the chair and holds you in his arms as your back falls against the table before him. maybe he can kiss you until next month. until the clock strikes and it’s the 1st.
he smiles as he kisses you, feeling you pull his necktie off. he thinks it’s the best idea he’s had in a while. and a true scientist always tries out their hypothesis.
~k.k. (☆) have fun!

Bad day
Pairing: Alexia Putellas x Reader
Words: 1698
Warnings: Swearing, crying
Summary: You’ve had a bad day and go to Alexia for comfort. Based on this request- here
Notes: Do you guys have chapters that write really well? Like, I barely had to change anything in the proof read and I’m kinda proud of myself. Enjoy <3
[prompt list]
Tumblr media
Today hadn't been a very good day. In fact, it had been absolutely terrible.
Firstly, you'd slept through the alarm you'd sworn you'd set, unintentionally snapping at Alexia for not waking you when getting up herself. Then you'd dropped your coffee -your very hot coffee to be precise- simultaneously ruining your blouse, burning your skin and souring your mood further because you didn't have time to get another one or go back home to change.
So not only were you un-caffeinated and smelling of stale coffee for the entire day, the AC in your office had finally decided to call all it quits. You'd spent the whole day sweating, and if all that was bad enough, you didn't have time for a lunch break, meaning you'd gone the whole day without eating because of course you'd slept through breakfast too.
So yeah. Today had not been a very good day. Right now, at this specific moment, all you wanted was a shower and for Alexia to hold you. Maybe some pizza too. But mainly Alexia.
But apparently the universe was determined to make your day even shittier because when you got home, you see Alexia busy on her laptop on a Skype call to someone. Your mood dwindles further as you glare at the back of her unsuspecting head. Of course. Of course she was busy. Alexia was always busy.
You pause in the midst of angrily kicking off your shoes. No. It wasn't her fault. None of this was. You were just frustrated. And angry. And sweaty. And hangry. And apparently Alexia deprived too.
"Stupid alarm. Stupid coffee. Stupid AC. Stupid everything." You grumble to yourself as you make your way down the hall to the bathroom, hastily stripping off and stepping beneath the scolding hot water.
You stay in the shower for probably longer than you should have, only stepping out when your fingers are wrinkly and you start to feel faint. The shirt Alexia had worn to bed last night was still strewn across her side of the bed, and without hesitation, you find yourself slipping it on along with a pair of underwear.
Your bare feet pad across the wooden floor as you make your way back through to the kitchen. Even if Alexia wasn't done, you needed to eat. You were way past hangry and slipping dangerously into murderous, and that was not how you wanted to end your already shit day.
Surprisingly, Alexia wasn't on Skype anymore. But she still looks busy prompting you to keep quiet as to slip past her and over to the refrigerator. You were part way through pouring yourself a bowl of cereal when her voice fills the room.
"Mi amor, I did not hear you come home."
You can't help but startle at the sound, turning around with the cereal box clutched to your chest. "Uhh, yeah. Hi. I saw you were busy and didn't want to bother you."
Alexia raises an eyebrow as she pulls her headphones out of her ears, leaning back in her chair and running a hand through her hair. It was unfair how attractive she looked doing that.
"I am never to busy for you bebé. How was your day?" She asks genuinely.
You simply purse your lips, the cereal box becoming crushed against your chest.
Alexia frowns. "That bad?"
You nod tersely.
"You want to talk about it? I can listen." She offers, but you shake your head.
"If you don't let me eat right now, I'm gonna bite your head off." You admit seriously, and Alexia huffs a laugh of amusement as she nods her head.
"Dinner is in the oven, amor." Alexia gestures to the appliance just next to you. "I did not want it to go cold."
Your hands drop to your sides. “You made dinner?" You feel your eyes start to burn with the familiar sensation of tears.
"Sí. I had some free time," she looks up you, "amor, are you crying?"
"I can't help it," you choke out before letting out a sob, and Alexia's heart breaks as she stands up and makes her way over to you, cupping the back of your head and pulling you into her arms. You fall limp against her, arms looping around her waist and squeezing tight as you bury your face into her chest. "I-I had such...such a bad day, and you...m-made dinner."
"I did, baby," Alexia so very rarely uses English terms of endearment with you, only doing so when you were so upset she fears you wouldn't understand her Spanish. "You are shaking, love. What happened?"
"I had a bad..bad day." Alexia almost finds herself tearing up at just how dejected and sad you sound.
"You did?" She muses softly, the hand on the back of your head combing gently through your hair. You nod against her chest, breath stuttering as you try and get yourself together.
"It is okay, baby. You can cry." She assures, and you let out another choked sob she tightens her arms around you. After a while, without prompting, you start to speak.
"I slept..slept through my alarm. Then I...I spilled my coffee and didn't have t-time to change or get another one. Then the st-stupid AC broke, and I missed lunch. And...and..." you trail off into another sob as you clutch desperately to the sides of her shirt, and Alexia frowns as she bends and loops her arms beneath your behind, standing up straight with you in her arms before easing you down onto the counter.
She steps in between your parted legs, feeling the way they hook tightly around her waist as your crossed feet rest against her ass.  Your stomach and chest were flush against her own as she holds you, one arm across your back whilst her hand cups the back of your head, fingertips grazing lightly over your scalp.
Your arms were around her shoulders, hands clinging to the back of her shirt as you sob softly into her shoulder. Alexia simply stands there and holds you, knowing you often got overwhelmed when someone tried to talk and make sense of things when all you needed was a good cry.
Eventually, your sobs fade into sniffles, and Alexia holds you for just a few moments longer before tentatively easing your upper body away from her, hand's delicately cupping your cheeks.
"It's sounds like you did have a pretty bad day, mi amor." She murmurs, leaning in to press a tender kiss to your forehead.
You nod, sniffling softly as your eyes fill with a fresh set of tears.
"No no, do not cry, bebé," Alexia soothes, using her thumbs to wipe away your tears, "it is okay now. You are home, with me." She pulls you back to her chest, feeling the way her heart breaks when you cling to her desperately like you were scared she was going to push you away. "I will fix you a plate of food, yes? Would you like some juice too?"
You nod with a quiet sniffle, feeling Alexia's hands slide beneath your bare thighs before easily hoisting you off of the counter and carrying you over to the dining table. She lingers with you in her arms for a few moments longer before easing you down onto the chair next to hers, kissing your forehead before moving to prepare you some food, and you stare longingly at the back of her body as she flips between the refrigerator and oven getting everything she needed.
Soon, she was back, and you can't help but smile as she sets a plate of pasta down in front of you along with a fork and some some juice.
"Gracias." You whisper hoarsely, feeling Alexia hum as she kisses your again forehead again before retreating back to her own seat.
After not eating all day, it was safe to say you were famished and end up eating your meal in about ten minutes flat. As you set down your fork, you look cluelessly around the room not quiet knowing that to do with yourself. Quite frankly, all you wanted to do now was sleep, but you didn’t want to do that without Alexia and you suspected she had to finish whatever work she was doing before finally retiring to bed. But you didn’t want to just sit here by yourself either.
Alexia soon solves this for you, grabbing the seat of your chair and pulling you closer. You look up at her, head tilted to the side.
"Come here, you can sit on my lap until I am done working." She uses her feet to push her chair back slightly before invitingly pats her thighs, but you hesitate, your earlier worries returning about not wanting to disturb her.
"Come here, bebè. Let me hold you." She reaches to grab your hand and lightly tugs, your resolve immediately breaking. You stand up and allow her to coax you into her lap, one leg either side of her own with your ass planted firmly against her thighs. You melt against her almost immediately, cheek resting against her shoulder as one of your arms settles around her waist. The other stays flush against her chest, fingers hooking tightly to her shirt.
Alexia relaxes at the feeling of your weight on top of her, using the hand that wasn't controlling her laptop to graze gentle circles across the length of your back. She hooks her chin into your shoulder, turning her face slightly to the left so she could breath in your smell for a few moments before focusing back on her work. The sooner she was done, the sooner she could focus one hundred perfect of her attention on you. But for now, she figure this was a good compromise.
"I love you, ale." She hears you murmur as she feels your warm hand creep up her shirt to rest between the back the chair and her bare skin, tracing absently over her tattoos.
"Te amo, mi amor."

caitlin knew what she was doing – manspreading like she owned the damn place as she watched you intently, a smirk playing on her lips. you felt her eyes trace your every move, a deliberate and very much calculated gaze that seemed to see right through you. the room was loud with chatter, but in that moment, it felt like there were only the two of you.
you shifted uncomfortably in your seat, trying to ignore the heat rising to your cheeks. caitlin's confidence was magnetic, almost suffocating in its intensity. she leaned back, her posture relaxed but her eyes sharp, and you could tell she was waiting for you to make the next move.
"you're staring," you finally said, trying to keep your voice steady.
she raised an eyebrow, not bothering to hide her amusement. "so what if i am. got a problem with that?"
you rolled your eyes, but you couldn't help the smile tugging at your lips. "why are you always like this?"
"like what?" she asked, feigning innocence – she loved making you smile. her foot nudged yours under the table, a light but unmistakable touch.
"like you think you own the place," you said, leaning forward slightly. "like you're so sure of yourself."
caitlin's smirk widened. "maybe i do own the place. or at least, y'know, this little corner of it."
you huffed a laugh, shaking your head. "You're impossible."
"and yet," she said, her voice dropping a notch. "you can't seem to stay away."
there it was – the challenge, the dare in her words. it was infuriating and exhilarating all at once. you looked around the room, the sea of faces blurring into the background. caitlin had a way of making everything else seem insignificant, her presence demanding all of your attention.
that's how you ended up in her dorm, kneeling down in front of her, her gaze unwavering unwavering. the room was dimly lit, a soft glow from the bedside lamp casting shadows that danced on the walls. caitlin sat on the edge of her bed, her legs still spread with that same confident demeanor, her eyes never leaving yours.
your tongue flattened as you closed your eyes, letting caitlin push you into her. you hummed against her pussy, her taste almost sweet. she let out a groan of satisfaction, her hand gripping your hair tightly.
"oh, yeah, baby." she murmured, her voice thick with desire. the sounds she made spurred you on, encouraging you to keep going. "just like that,"
you could feel her muscles tense under your ministrations, her body reacting to every movement, every touch. caitlin's confidence was unwavering, but in this moment, there was a rawness that you had never seen before.
her breathing grew more ragged, and she let out a low moan that reverberated through the room. you glanced up, catching the intense look in her eyes. the way she watched you, with such hunger and appreciation, made your heart race.
"just like that, pretty girl," she groaned, her voice trembling with pleasure. "don't stop."
you didn't intend to. you wanted to give her everything she desired, to make her feel as incredible as she made you feel. you moved with purpose, your tongue and lips working in tandem to bring her closer to the edge.
caitlin's moans grew louder, her grip in your hair almost painful, but you relished in the sensation, knowing it meant she was close. her hips began to move in sync with you, a rhythm that felt both natural and needy.
suddenly, she pulled you up, her eyes dark with need. "wanna see your face," she panted. "wanna kiss you when i cum."
your finger found her clit as your lips finding hers in a searing kiss. the taste of her was intoxicating, mingling with the taste of her arousal still on your tongue. caitlin's hands roamed your back, pulling you even closer, as if she couldn't get enough.
her moans became muffled against your mouth, her body trembling with the force of her approaching climax. you could feel it building, the tension coiling inside her, ready to snap as your finger began rubbing quicker against her clit.
with a final, breathless groan, caitlin came undone, her body shuddering against yours. she held you through it, your kiss never breaking, your hands soothing over her skin. when she finally stilled, her breathing heavy and her eyes glazed with satisfaction, you pulled back just enough to look at her.
"fuck, you're so hot," she whispered, her voice hoarse but filled with genuine admiration.
you laughed, feeling a rush of warmth at her words. "so are you, cait."
she smiled, the sound making her heart swell. "yeah?"
"yeah," you nodded.
she pulled you onto her lap completely as her hands squeezed her hips. "not done with you yet, pretty girl,"
you felt yourself blush as you bit your lips, looking down at the brunette.

As you approached the front door, you barely had time to knock before the door swung open, revealing a grinning Nick.
"Finally! You’re here," Nick exclaimed, pulling you into a tight hug.
"Did I keep you waiting that long?" you teased, hugging him back.
"Only our entire lives," Chris chimed in dramatically, appearing behind Nick. He gave you a quick hug and then stepped aside to let you in.
"Hey, Matt’s in the kitchen trying to act like he doesn’t care that you’re here," Nick added with a smirk.
You laughed, shaking your head as you stepped inside. "Classic Matt."
As if on cue, Matt emerged from the kitchen, a faint blush dusting his cheeks. "Hey," he said, his voice soft but his eyes bright as they met yours.
"Hey, Matt," you replied, walking over to give him a hug. He held on just a second longer than the others had, but it wasn’t unusual. Matt had always been a little more reserved, a little more subtle.
"So, what’s this top-secret plan you guys have dragged me here for?" you asked as the four of you gathered in the living room.
Chris clapped his hands together, practically bouncing in excitement. "Okay, so here’s the deal. We’re filming a baking contest today. Each of us is going to bake something different, and then we’ll judge whose creation is the best!"
Your eyebrows shot up in amusement. "And you thought I would be the perfect person for this? Have you guys forgotten how terrible I am at baking?"
"That’s exactly why we invited you," Nick said with a laugh. "It’s all part of the chaos."
"Besides," Chris added, "if you don’t win, at least you’ll make Matt feel better about himself."
Matt rolled his eyes but didn’t bother hiding his smirk. "Very funny, Chris."
You grinned, nudging Matt lightly. "Don’t worry, Matt. I’m sure you’ll do better than me. Or maybe not. Who knows?"
He gave you a lopsided smile. "Guess we’ll find out."
The four of you moved to the kitchen, where an array of ingredients and baking tools had been laid out. As you looked over the supplies, Chris leaned over your shoulder.
"So, any idea what you’re making?" he asked.
"Not a clue," you admitted. "What about you?"
"Cookies," Chris said confidently. "Simple and foolproof. Unlike Nick’s plan to make a soufflé."
Nick shot Chris a glare. "I can pull off a soufflé, thank you very much."
"And what about you, Matt?" you asked, turning to him.
"I’m making a cake," he said, his voice steady but his eyes flickering toward you. "Something classic."
You smiled. "Sounds like a safe bet."
Matt shrugged, a small grin tugging at his lips. "We’ll see."
As the four of you started to gather your ingredients, Matt subtly moved closer to you, watching as you fumbled with a bag of flour.
"Need help?" he asked, his tone casual but his gaze lingering on you.
"I think I’ve got it," you said, though you appreciated the offer.
He nodded, but he didn’t step away, staying close as if to make sure you really didn’t need help. Chris, meanwhile, noticed and smirked knowingly but said nothing—for now.
The chatter in the kitchen was light and playful as you all prepared for the challenge. Every so often, you caught Matt watching you, his expression soft but unreadable. It wasn’t unusual for him to be attentive, but today there was something different—something almost protective—in the way he stayed near you.
And you couldn’t help but wonder if he noticed how your heart skipped a beat every time he did.
The kitchen was alive with activity as the four of you started your baking projects. Nick was focused on his soufflé, brows furrowed in intense concentration. Chris had already managed to spill flour on himself while preparing cookie dough, laughing it off like it was all part of his plan. You had settled on brownies—an easy choice, or so you thought—and Matt was diligently mixing cake batter, stealing glances at you when he thought you weren’t looking.
“Nick, why are you acting like you’re auditioning for MasterChef?” Chris teased as he shaped his cookies.
“Because I take baking seriously,” Nick replied, not even looking up. “Unlike you, who’s probably just going to eat half the dough before it even gets in the oven.”
“You say that like it’s a bad thing,” Chris shot back, popping a chunk of raw cookie dough into his mouth.
You laughed as you tried to mix your brownie batter, though it wasn’t going as smoothly as you’d hoped. “Okay, how do you stop flour from going everywhere? I feel like I’m in the middle of a snowstorm here.”
Matt, who was working at the counter next to you, smirked. “You could try mixing slower. Or, you know, not being you.”
You gasped dramatically, swiping a bit of flour onto your fingers and flicking it at him. “Rude!”
He chuckled, brushing the flour off his shirt. “I’m just saying, maybe baking isn’t your calling.”
“I’ll have you know my brownies are going to be amazing,” you retorted, though your batter was still lumpy.
Chris looked over and snorted. “Amazing? That batter looks like it’s seen some things.”
“Hey!” you protested, laughing despite yourself. “I don’t see you winning any awards over there, Mr. Flour Explosion.”
Nick shook his head. “This is why I invited you. You bring the chaos we need for good content.”
“Happy to help,” you said with a mock bow.
As the contest progressed, the kitchen grew even messier. Chris’s cookies were in the oven, and Nick’s soufflé looked surprisingly impressive as it rose. Matt’s cake batter was poured neatly into its pan, and you finally managed to get your brownies into the oven after a series of mishaps.
“Alright, ten minutes left,” Nick announced. “How’s everyone feeling?”
“Confident,” Chris said smugly, though one of his cookies had mysteriously disappeared.
“Stressed,” you admitted. “I think my brownies are plotting against me.”
Matt glanced at you, his lips twitching into a smile. “I think you’re doing fine. For a beginner.”
“Wow, thanks for the vote of confidence,” you said dryly, rolling your eyes.
He leaned slightly closer, his voice lower. “I’m just saying, if you need help tasting them later, I’m your guy.”
Your cheeks warmed at the playful tone in his voice, but before you could respond, Chris interrupted.
“Matt, stop flirting and focus on your cake. You’re not slick.”
“Yeah,” Nick added, grinning. “At least wait until after you lose to make a move.”
Matt shot them a glare, but you could see the faint blush creeping up his neck. “I’m not flirting. I’m just being supportive.”
“Sure you are,” Chris said with a wink.
The timer eventually went off, and you all gathered around the finished products to taste-test. Nick’s soufflé was surprisingly decent, though it deflated slightly when he cut into it. Chris’s cookies were classic, though he had clearly eaten more than a few. Matt’s cake was perfectly moist and flavorful, much to his brothers’ chagrin, and your brownies—while a little uneven—were rich and fudgy.
“Alright, verdict time,” Nick said, crossing his arms. “Who’s the winner?”
“Me, obviously,” Chris declared, holding up one of his cookies.
“No way,” Nick argued. “My soufflé was elegant and sophisticated.”
Matt looked at you, his smile soft. “I think it’s between us.”
Before you could respond, your phone buzzed on the counter. You picked it up absentmindedly, but the name on the screen made you pause. It was a text from the guy you had gone on a date with a few weeks ago.
Hey, had a great time last time. Are you free for another date this week?
You frowned slightly, not really feeling it, but before you could type out a polite "no," Matt leaned over your shoulder.
“What’s that?” he asked, his tone casual but his jaw tightening when he saw the message.
You quickly locked your phone, but it was too late. His expression darkened, his usual calm demeanor replaced by something sharp and tense.
Nick and Chris were too busy arguing about their desserts to notice, but Matt’s gaze didn’t leave your phone.
“Didn’t realize you were still talking to him,” he said quietly, his voice laced with an edge you hadn’t heard before.
The atmosphere in the kitchen shifted as Matt walked away, leaving you standing there with a mixture of confusion and frustration. You hadn't even had the chance to explain the text before he had wandered off, his emotions clearly written all over his face.
“Matt,” you called sternly, your voice cutting through the chatter. Nick and Chris calling after him as well.
He didn’t stop or turn around, instead muttering, “Ask Y/N,” over his shoulder before heading toward his room. “I’m in my room.”
Matt’s retreat down the hallway left a heavy silence in the kitchen. You stared after him, confusion and frustration swirling inside you. His clipped tone and sudden departure stung, and you couldn’t help but feel like you were missing something important.
“Uh… what was that about?” Chris asked, breaking the tension.
Nick, who was leaning against the counter, raised an eyebrow. “Yeah, Y/N, you wanna fill us in? He said to ask you.”
You sighed, running a hand through your hair. “He saw a text on my phone. From a guy I went on a date with.”
Chris let out a low whistle, his eyes wide with mock drama. “Ohhh. And he just happened to storm off right after? Interesting.”
Nick’s expression was more serious. “What did the text say?”
You hesitated. “He asked if I wanted to go out again.”
“And Matt saw it?” Nick pressed.
“Yeah,” you admitted, exhaling deeply. “But I wasn’t even going to say yes. I don’t even like the guy like that.”
Chris leaned on the counter, a smirk playing on his lips. “Then why do I feel like Matt does?”
You glared at him. “This isn’t funny, Chris.”
Nick crossed his arms, his gaze thoughtful. “He’s jealous. That much is obvious.”
“Jealous?” you repeated, your stomach twisting.
Chris rolled his eyes dramatically. “Y/N, you’re, like, his favorite person. Of course he’s jealous. He’s been weirdly possessive all day.”
You frowned, trying to make sense of it all. “But why wouldn’t he just talk to me instead of storming off?”
“Because it’s Matt,” Nick said simply. “He shuts down when it’s something personal.”
“Exactly,” Chris added, grinning. “Classic brooding behavior. Very on-brand.”
You ignored his joke, already moving toward the hallway. “I’ll talk to him.”
“Good luck,” Nick called after you. “You’re probably the only one who can get through to him.”
The walk to Matt’s room felt longer than it was. You paused outside his door, your heart thudding. You knocked softly.
“Matt?” you called.
There was no response.
You knocked again, a little firmer this time. “Matt, it’s me. Can I come in?”
A long silence followed before you finally heard his voice, muffled and strained. “It’s open.”
You pushed the door open and stepped inside. Matt was sitting on the edge of his bed, his head in his hands. His shoulders were tense, his whole posture radiating frustration and something deeper—something heavier.
“Matt,” you said, your voice gentle as you closed the door behind you. “What’s going on? Why did you walk off like that?”
He didn’t look up. “It’s nothing. You should go back to the others.”
“No,” you said firmly, stepping closer. “Not until you talk to me.”
He let out a humorless laugh, his voice tinged with bitterness. “What’s there to talk about, Y/N? I saw the text. You’ve got someone else to spend your time with.”
His words hit you like a punch to the gut. “What? Matt, it’s not like that—”
“It doesn’t matter,” he interrupted, finally lifting his head to look at you. His eyes were red, his expression pained. “You don’t owe me an explanation. You can date whoever you want.”
You froze, your heart breaking at the sight of him like this. “Matt…”
“I just—” He ran a hand through his hair, his voice cracking. “I hate it, okay? I hate thinking about you with someone else. It drives me insane, and I don’t know how to deal with it.”
You moved closer, sitting down beside him. “Why didn’t you just tell me that?”
He looked away, his jaw tightening. “Because what’s the point? You deserve to be with someone who makes you happy, and I—”
“Stop,” you cut him off, your voice firm but soft. “You don’t get to decide what I deserve.”
He turned to you, his eyes searching yours. “Then what do you want me to say, Y/N? That I’m in love with you? Because I am. I’ve been in love with you for so long, and I didn’t know how to tell you. And then I saw that text, and it felt like everything I’ve been holding onto just slipped away.”
Your breath caught, your heart racing at his words. He quickly looked down, his hands fidgeting in his lap. “I shouldn’t have said that. Forget it.”
“No,” you said firmly, reaching out to touch his arm. “Don’t do that. Don’t shut me out.”
He stilled under your touch, his gaze hesitantly meeting yours.
“Matt,” you said softly, your voice trembling with emotion. “I’m in love with you too. I have been for a while, but I was scared to say anything. I didn’t want to lose you.”
His eyes widened, and for a moment, he just stared at you, as if trying to process your words. “You… you mean that?”
You nodded, a small, tearful smile breaking through. “Yes, Matt. I mean it.”
He let out a shaky breath, his hand reaching up to cup your face gently. “I thought I was too late.”
“You’re not too late,” you whispered, leaning into his touch. “You’re exactly what I’ve been waiting for.”
The tension between you dissolved, replaced by a warmth that felt like coming home.
Matt stared at you like he couldn’t believe what he was hearing, his hand still cupping your face. His thumb brushed against your cheek, gentle and hesitant, as though he was afraid you might disappear.
“You really mean that?” he asked, his voice quiet but full of emotion.
You smiled, nodding as tears pricked at your eyes. “Yes, Matt. I mean it. I’ve been in love with you for a while. I just didn’t know how to tell you. I didn’t want to ruin what we have.”
He let out a soft, shaky laugh, his eyes glistening. “You’re serious? After all this time, I thought… I thought I was just the guy you came to when you needed someone to vent to or—”
“Stop,” you interrupted, reaching up to take his hand in yours. “You’re so much more than that to me, Matt. You’ve always been more.”
Matt’s lips parted, and for a moment, it looked like he might say something, but instead, he just gazed at you with a mix of wonder and disbelief. Slowly, his free hand came up to rest on your other cheek, framing your face.
“I’ve wanted to tell you for so long,” he admitted, his voice trembling. “But I was scared too. I thought maybe you’d laugh or tell me it was just me misreading everything.”
“Matt,” you said softly, your hands moving to rest on his wrists. “You didn’t misread anything. It’s always been you.”
His breath hitched, and before either of you could second-guess the moment, he leaned in. The space between you disappeared, and his lips met yours in a kiss that was both tender and desperate, like he’d been waiting forever to do this.
Your heart soared as you kissed him back, your hands sliding up to grip his forearms. The kiss deepened, your emotions spilling over into every movement. His lips were warm, soft, and everything you’d imagined and more.
When you finally broke apart, your foreheads rested against each other, both of you breathless but smiling. Matt let out a soft laugh, his hands still on your face.
“You have no idea how long I’ve wanted to do that,” he said, his voice low and full of affection.
You laughed too, your cheeks warm. “I think I have some idea.”
Before either of you could say anything else, the door suddenly burst open, slamming against the wall.
“FINALLY!” Chris shouted, his voice echoing in the room.
Nick was right behind him, clapping loudly. “About damn time!”
You and Matt both jumped, turning to face them in shock.
“Chris!” Matt snapped, his cheeks flushing a deep red. “What the hell?”
“What?” Chris said, grinning ear to ear. “You’ve been in here forever. We figured something dramatic was happening, but *this*—” He gestured between the two of you. “This is way better than I expected.”
Nick leaned against the doorframe, smirking. “Seriously, we’ve been waiting for you two to figure this out for *years.*”
You groaned, hiding your face in your hands. “Oh my god, you guys.”
Matt looked like he wanted to crawl under the bed, but he couldn’t help the small smile tugging at his lips. “Can you not?”
“Nope,” Chris said, crossing his arms. “This is a moment, and we’re celebrating it. You’re welcome, by the way, for leaving you alone long enough to get there.”
Nick grinned. “So… do we tell Mom and Dad? Or should we wait for the engagement?”
“Nick, I swear—” Matt started, standing up, but Nick and Chris both bolted out of the room, laughing.
You and Matt exchanged a look, both of you exasperated but also unable to stop smiling.
“Do you see what I have to deal with?” he asked, gesturing toward the open door.
You laughed, reaching out to take his hand. “I think I can handle it.”
He squeezed your hand, his expression softening as he looked at you. “I’m really glad you’re here, you know that?”
“Me too,” you said, your smile widening. “Even if your brothers are a little much.”
“A little?” Matt teased, leaning down to press a soft kiss to your forehead. “You’re being generous.”
You laughed again, your heart feeling lighter than it had in years.

"Did you really throw Lewis of your Christmas Cookie list after Silverstone 2021?!" Max asked Ariel, his eyebrows climbing into his hairline after reading that particular text message.
Ariel didn't even bother looking up from her breakfast, as she was scrolling through her own phone.
"Yep," she said, popping the p. "I crossed him off my Christmas cookie list for two years. No cookies for Lewis."
Max looked at her, his expression a mix of amusement and bewilderment. "Two years?" he said, a hint of disbelief in his voice.
If she had thrown Lewis of her christmas cookie list for two years, there was no chance that Lando was getting any cookies this year. "That seems a bit harsh, don't you think?" he said carefully, but Ariel just shrugge.
“I am very aware that your job has its dangers,” Ariel said drily. “This wasn’t about what happened on track. I was making a point.”
Max’s lips curving upwards slightly at her words. "What point were you trying to make, schatje?" he asked, a hint of mirth peeking through his nonchalant tone.
Ariel finally looked up from her phone, bluish-green eyes that never could quite decide which colour they wanted to be, mustering him. Her expression serious. "The point was about respect. You could have died. You battled severe vision problems for the rest of the season. And Mercedes was talking about it like it was a lesson you were finally being taught. Lewis wasn’t the only one on a cookie ban. Everybody at Mercedes was," Ariel said sharply. “Because their behaviour after that crash was completely unacceptable. I decided that a two year ban without my cookies was enough to drive that point home."
Max's amusement turned into a full-fledged smile at her explanation.
"So, Mercedes' team didn't get cookies for two years?" he asked, clearly trying not to laugh. Ariel arched an eyebrow, a defiant look in her eyes.
 "Yes, exactly," Ariel replied. "No one from Mercedes received any Christmas cookies for two years. And let me tell you, Lewis was heartbroken."
Max couldn’t help but laugh then, the sound deep and rich. The image of Lewis' disappointed face, finding out he was on her ban list for two years, must have been a sight to behold.
"I bet he was," he said, his laughter slowly subsiding, even when he couldn’t help but smile at her.
This was Ariel in a nutshell. She had always, always been unapologetically in his corner. There had never once been a question about her loyalty. She may called him out on his bullshit, but she was just as willing to go to bat for him.
"You're ruthless when it comes to your cookies, you know that?" he told her with a smile.
She inclined her head. “I have my principles,” she said simply. "And those principles include doling out cookie-related punishments when necessary."
Max shook his head, completely smitten.
"Oh, I know very well how protective you are of your principles," he said with a hint of tenderness in his voice. "And I love that about you." Max leaned back in his chair, his expression becoming more serious.
"But I have to say, it's touching that you were so upset by what happened during the race that you decided to ban everyone at Mercedes from your cookie list. But two years is a long time without cookies, schatje."Ariel seemed unrepentant, her defiant side shining through in her expression. “You didn’t need to do that. I am tougher than I look,” he told her with some amusement.
"They were lucky it was only two years," she snorted, her voice holding a note of irritation. "I was thinking about a lifetime ban."
Max chuckled again, amused by her determination.
"Lifetime?" he repeated, the word hanging in the air. "You really didn't pull any punches, did you?" She just shrugged, just as her phone vibrated. "Any reason why Victoria is texting me to tell you to call your Mom`?" she asked drily, after a short look at her phone.
Max rolled his eyes, even as Ariel’s phone pinged again. And again.
"Lewis did apologise about the betting pool by the way," he informed her and Ariel just snorted.
"He is worried about getting blacklisted again," Ariel told him sagely, and he couldn't help but laugh.
"I'll get my laptop," Ariel said softly as she stood, leaning down to drop a kiss against his hair and Max couldn't help himself but to pull her into a proper kiss. Max pulled her onto his lap, his arms wrapping around her waist with ease.
When they finally broke apart, he rested his forehead against hers. A smile played across his lips as he spoke.
"You know," he murmured, his voice dropping to a lower, huskier note. "I could get used to having you here. In my lap. Anytime." He didn't want this moment to end. He could feel her breath against his neck, her fingers tracing small circles on his shoulder.
He was about to pull her in for another kiss when her phone pinged again, breaking the blissful bubble of intimacy they had created. "Call you Mom," Ariel told him pointedly as she stood.
Max chuckled, reluctantly letting her go. "Spoilsport," he teased, but his eyes were full of affection.
He reluctantly picked up his own phone and dialled his Mom's number. His mother answered on the second ring.
"Maxie! You took your time to call," she scolded him immediately.
He had. Mostly because he had no idea what to say.
What was Max supposed to say?
He had won a race. He had finally figured things out with Ariel...
And he was quite sure that the next time he tried to talk to his father it wouldn't end well at all, because his father had laid his hands on Ariel. And that was simply unacceptable as far as Max was concerned.
He opened his mouth to respond but his mother continued, talking over him in her typical, motherly way. "Are you alright?" she asked abruptly, her voice filled with worry.
He wasn't about to lie to her. "I...I am getting there," he admitted, his voice rough. "Did you see..." his voice broke before he could bring out the words.
"Yes. I saw," his mother said darkly. "Everybody saw, Max. Sky kept a camera onto the whole...thing. I am so sorry," she apologised to him and he couldn't stand it. First Ariel apologised to him about what his father did, then Victoria and now his mother.
He couldn't stand it.
Max felt a sudden flare of anger as he thought about the cameras catching the whole scene at the garage, his father's behaviour on full display.
He closed his eyes and took a deep breath, trying to calm his thoughts.
"It's not your fault," he said quietly, his voice betraying his emotions. "You don't need to apologise for him."
His mother was quiet for a moment, her voice softer when she spoke again.
"I know. But you are my son and I..." she trailed off, seemingly lost for words.
Max could sense her struggle, her own emotions warring through the phone."I'll be fine," he reassured her, his own voice quivering slightly. He appreciated her concern, but he didn't want to add to her worry.
He forced a light tone into his voice, trying to sound more like himself. "I'm a big boy,” he assured her. He was quite sure that his mother din’t believe a word he sai.
"How is Ariel?" She asked him instead.
Max couldn't help the smile that tugged the corners of his lips. The mention of her name lifted some of the weight off his chest.
"She's...she's good," he said honestly. "She's handling everything better than I am, honestly."
He glanced over his shouler, back inside as they had ha breakfast outside on the balcony…and found Ariel with her laptop on her lap sitting on the couch. Her focus was intense, as usual, as she typed away.
"You two are good together," he heard his mother say, her voice gentle.  "I always thought so. At least one good thing came out of this whole mess," she said with a chuckle. “Even when it took you the better part of a decade.
Max's lips lifted in a small smile at her words, his eyes still trained on Ariel, his girlfriend. His girlfriend.
He couldn’t quite believe it, but he adored every single moment of it.
An he agreed with his mother. Despite everything, things between him and Ariel had turned out for the better. She was here, in his room, as his girlfriend and he was glad for it.
He couldn’t imagine to going back to being just friends, to not be able to reach out an pull her into a kiss…to not hear every single soft noise that escaped her as he pressed his lips to hers…
"Yeah," Max agreed quietly. "One good thing, indeed.”
"Look after her," his mother said, her tone now taking on a more serious note. "I know you will. But take care of her. And yourself while you're at it."
Max felt a warm rush of gratitude wash over him. His mother's concern never failed to touch him, no matter how old he was.
"I will, Mom," he assured her, his voice softened by affection.
"...What will you do with your father?" she asked him curiously.
Max's smile faded at her question, his thoughts turning dark once again.
He had been avoiding thinking about his father, not wanting to deal with the complicated mix of anger and hurt he felt. But he knew he could not run from it eternally.
He took a deep breath, his voice quiet and rough. "I don't know," he answered honestly. "I can't just...I can’t just let it go, Ma. Not this time. He laid his hands on her," he added, his voice filled with a burning anger that he couldn't suppress. The image of his father's hand connecting with Ariel’s soft face… it was making him utterly furious.
His fingers clenched into fists, his knuckles turning white. "I can't just forgive that."
There was silence on the other end of the line for a moment, a heavy pause that carried the weight of his words.
When his mother spoke again, her voice was gentle, "You don't have to forgive him, Max. No one will force you to."
"Vic can do whatever she wants, obviously," Max continued. "But I am done. I don't want him anywhere near Ariel. I don't want him anywhere near my family."
His mother was silent for a moment again and he knew she was just processing his words.
"You are serious," she said quietly, her voice holding a hint of awe. "You really mean it, don't you?"
"Yes," Max answered firmly, his voice sure and steady. "I've had enough, Ma. This...this was the last straw."
He closed his eyes, his stomach turning at the thought of his father's actions.
"He laid his hands on her. I can't ignore that. I won't."
His mother was quiet for a moment, digesting his words. He could practically feel her surprise. His relationship with his father had never been easy and she knew that from personal experience.
Finally she spoke again, her voice careful but firm. "And what if he doesn't take your decision well?"
Max couldn't help the weary sigh that escaped him. He knew his father well enough to know that this would probably turn into a shitstorm.
"I know he will get angry," he admitted, his voice low but unwavering. "He always does when I don't just do as he says. But...this time I don't care."
“He can talk to my lawyers,” he said drily. Though he probably woul owe them truly ridiculous amounts of money to deal with his father when all was said and done.
His mother chuckled lightly at his words, a hint of amusement in her voice. "I'm sure they will be looking forward to that," she said dryly.
Then she sighed, the sound heavy with the weight of years of dealing with her ex-husband. "He won't go down quietly. You know that, right?"
Max nodded grimly, his free hand clenching into a fist. "I know," he said, his voice heavy with the knowledge of how stubborn his father could be.
He had grown up with his father's temper tantrums and his endless list of demands. He knew all too well that his father would not accept his decision without a fight.
But Max was no longer the little boy who had to comply with his father's orders. He was a man, a fully grown adult, and he was determined to stand his ground, no matter what.
His voice was firm when he spoke again. "It doesn't matter," he said. "I’m done with letting him control my life. I won't back down ."
There was a pause on the other end of the line and Max could almost see his mother nodding, her face a mixture of worry and pride.
"You're stubborn like him," she said suddenly, the amused tone back in her voice.
Max smiled, a brief moment of levity in this dark conversation.
"You always were a determined little boy," his mother continued said, her voice filled with memories. "Even as a child, you never knew when to quit. I swear you're only getting more stubborn with age."
He couldn’t but chuckle quietly. His mother sighed.
"So you and Ariel," she changed the topic, trailing off leadingly. "Can I finally expect some grandchildren from you, then?"
Max almost barked out a laugh at the question. He was caught off guard by the sudden switch in conversation, but the subject wasn't an unwelcome one.
"Ma," he said, his voice tinged with both humor and incredulity. "One crisis at a time, please."
"It's a valid question," she said in response, her voice filled with feigned defensiveness. "I'm getting old over here."
Max rolled his eyes, a fond smile on his lips. "You're not THAT old," he teased.
His mother huffed at his words, amused but pretending to be offended. "I am old enough to be a grandmother, Max! I want to spoil some grandchildren before I'm too old to enjoy it."
Max chuckled, the lightheartedness of the conversation a welcome break from the heavy topics of their previous discussion.
"I'm not disagreeing with you," he said lightly. "But you're going to have to give me a little time. I just got her, you know."
His mother snorted at his words, her voice filled with a mother's knowing. "Oh, I know you well enough, Max Emilian," she said, a hint of mischief in her voice. "Trust me when I say, it won't take long for you to put a ring on her."
Max rolled his eyes again at her words, but he couldn't argue with her logic. "We'll see," he said, his voice trying for a nonchalant tone.
The truth was, his mind had already started wandering down that path of its own accord. But he wasn't going to admit that to his mother just yet.
"You keep telling yourself that, Max," his mother said with a laugh, her tone filled with maternal certainty. "In a few months, I will have another daughter."
Max chuckled at her words, the thought sending a jolt of excitement through his chest. The idea wasn’t as scary as it should have been.
"You are awfully sure of yourself," he teased, his voice tinged with amusement.
"I know my son," his mother said simply, the affection in her voice clear. "And I know how much you love that girl."
Max felt a lump in his throat at her words, the truth of her statement hitting him hard. He loved Ariel with all his heart, more than anything in the world. He couldn't deny that.
"Ma..." he began, his voice growing a little rougher.
"It's alright," she said gently, understanding the emotions behind his words. "You don't have to say anything. Just...take care of each other, yeah?"
Max nodded, his throat too tight to form words. He knew what she meant, the unspoken worry for the road ahead. But he was determined to face it together with Ariel.
"I will," he managed to speak, his voice filled with determination and love for her. "I promise."
"Good, Maxie," his mother said, the nickname making him feel like a child again. But he didn't mind. In his mother's eyes, he would always be her little boy.
She paused for a moment, then added, "I'm so proud of you, Max. You know that, right?"
Max felt a wave of emotion wash over him at her words. To hear his mother say that to him, in this difficult time, meant more to him than he could express.
"Yeah," he said quietly, his voice a mixture of gratitude and love. "Yeah, I know."
He felt a strange sense of peace wash over him. Despite everything that had happened, despite the storm on the horizon, he knew he had his mother's love and support. And he had Ariel. He was not alone.
His mother's voice was soft when she spoke again. "Go back to your girl now," she said, a hint of humor back in her tone. "She's probably wondering what's taking you so long."

Ariel’s email inbox was an absolute nightmare
She couldn't stand the sight of it anymore.
Between the concerned emails from friends, the offers of support from colleagues, and the endless messages from people she had never even interacted with, her inbox was a swirling mess of sympathy, curiosity, and unsolicited advice.
She hated it.
With a sigh, she shot off a message to her friend Madeleine, making some plans to see each other sometime before Christmas...something which hopefully would involve more than one strawberry daiquiri.
(God, she really could do with one right now.)
She also had no idea what to do with the sprawling apology that she was quite sure Lando had either asked ChatGPT or Oscar to help him write.
She wasn’t sure which was more likely and less weird.
(Ariel also wondered if it was only about her christmas cookies…but she was willing to cut some slack…maybe.)
Other than that...it was still a nightmare. Ariel started to copy paste her response to every single media inquiry, which was that she was very much fine and very much not interested in talking to any of the media outlets about what had happened between her and Jos Verstappen and also very much not pregnant.
The mere thought of having to talk to a horde of journalists, all eager for the next juicy story, was horrifying.
She wasn't one to seek the spotlight, and the fact that she was suddenly thrown into the center of it against her will made her feel both irritated and violated.
Leaning back against the sofa, she took a deep, calming breath.She hadn't even "started" with her phone though. That one was also a nightmare of seemingly every person in her life deciding to blow it up with numerous messages. Some of it was really quite sweet. Some of it definitively wasn't though.
The amount of people reaching out to her felt almost overwhelming. Her phone was inundated with text messages, calls, and voicemails, all filling up her notifications to an almost dizzying degree.
Some messages were nice, filled with warm wishes and support. But there were also those that were much less pleasant, asking questions that were far too intimate. Some even seemed downright judgemental.(...Ariel’s list of people that were going to get cookies this year was definitively dwindling down.)
At this point, it was difficult to tell who was genuinely concerned about her and who was just trying to squeeze some gossip out of her. She found herself growing increasingly frustrated with each new message she read, the constant barrage of questions and inquiries making her head spin.
With a weary sigh, she put her phone down and scrubbed a hand over her face, feeling utterly exhausted both mentally and physically.The whole experience felt oddly voyeuristic, like strangers were peering into the most private corners of her life, trying to satisfy their curiosity without any regard for her feelings.
And she didn’t even dare to look at her instagram…or on tiktok. Or on the website formerly known as twitter. Until she did and then clicked away again immediately.
Social media was a vast minefield of people throwing out comments that were anything but helpful. From armchair psychologists to self-proclaimed relationship experts, they seemed to know exactly what she should - and shouldn't - do.
"Hey."
She looked up to see Max join her on the couch, sitting next to her. He held out his arm for her and she pushed away her laptop to curl against him.
The one good thing that was coming out of this drama was their relationship.
"Hey," she greeted him softly. "Good talk with your Mom?" Max nodded, his arm wrapping around her body and pulling her close. The feeling of her body against her was pure comfort.
Ariel happily leaned against him with a sigh.
"Yeah, she just wanted to know how we're doing," he said, his expression a mix of weary and affectionate. "She worries. You know how mothers are."
She did. There didn't pass a day where Ariel didn't miss her own mother.
She leaned her head against his chest, taking in the solidity of his presence. His hand began to move in soothing, lazy circles on her back.
"This isn't some sort of fling to me," Max told her suddenly. She was so surprised by his sudden change of topic that she could just stare at him. "I would probably marry you tomorrow, given the opportunity. I wasted 5 years, I am not wasting anymore time."
She could just stare at him, her mouth suddenly dry at this look in his blue eyes. It was…decisive. There was no other word for it.
Max had mae up his mind.
An his words made Ariel’s heart flutter in her chest.
"Max..." she began, not certain of what to say.
Marriage wasn't something she had considered in the midst of all the drama. It had… well. It hadn’t crossed her mind. Not yet. Not while there were a thousand moving pieces all around them.
“I just want to be with you,” Max told her fiercely. “We don’t have to do anything right now, if you want to take it slow. That’s fine. Anything you want is okay. But I am serious about us.” Max said, emphasising each word slowly and clearly.
He was serious, completely serious. The raw honesty in his eyes told her everything she needed to know.
"Max," Ariel said his name quietly, her voice thick with emotion. She searched his face, looking for even the slightest hint of doubt or uncertainty. But there was none. He was earnest, sincere, and utterly in love with her.
"I love you too," she whispered. "And I am serious about us too."
Max's eyes brightened at her words, his whole face lighting up with a smile. He tightened his arms around her, pulling her even closer into his embrace.
"You mean that?" he asked, his voice filled with a slight tremor of disbelief and hope.
"Of course, I mean that," she promised him softly. "I love you. And I can't wait to spend the rest of my life doting on our two spoiled cats and stopping them from taking apart your Sim Rig. I can't wait watching you win races and knowing that you come straight home to me. And I can't wait to see what you'll do when you are done with it all and decide that you want to try out something new. I can't wait to grow old with you."
Max was stunned silent by her words, staring at her, swallowing.
"That's all I ever wanted too. Just you, me, and our little monsters. Nothing more, nothing less,"he said, his voice catching.
"Maybe some kids too. Down the line," she teased him. She wanted that. One day. Max had always been amazing with children.
"You...you would want that?" he asked huskily. "You want children with me?"
Her hands rose to cup his face. "Of course," she said softly. "I want everything with you."
 With him, the thought of children didn't seem so scary. It felt more like a promise of the future, a future that would be filled with love and laughter.
Max's arms around her grew tighter, desperate almost. He pulled her even closer, burying his face in her neck and inhaling deeply.
"I don't deserve you," he mumbled against her skin. "I truly don't."
Ariel gently cradled his head against her, running her fingers through his hair in a soothing motion. "Shush," she whispered. "Of course you do. I love you."
They simply sat there on the couch for a moment, wrapped up in each other. The world outside their little bubble seemed to fade away, and all that mattered were each other.
"I really want to go home," she said softly. "And cuddle Sassy. And Jimmy."
Max chuckled quietly and nodded into the crook of her neck. The thought of going home after the last few days sounded idyllic.
"Yeah," he agreed, his voice muffled. "Let's go home."

(Author's Note: While this finishes off this particular installment, I am SO NOT FINISHED WITH THEIR STORY. It will be a series and I have A LOT of ideas. So I will wildly skip through the timeline 😅😂 (Also if you have ideas/prompts/suggestions, they are always welcome!)

You hadn’t expected to find yourself sandwiched between your Lieutenant and your Captain. Captain Price's chest pressed against your back, Lieutenant Ghost's hand on your chin as he smirked down at you devilishly, though his mask covered the bottom half of his face, his eyes told the whole story. "Did such a good job, didn't you?" Price's voice rang behind you, his lips brushing against your neck with each word spoken.
Your breath hitched, your eyes closeing. The sound of the two men chuckling lowly made you clench your thighs together. "Look at you." Ghost's voice rang, his voice way deeper in contrast to Price's. His thumb runs across your bottom lip, your eyes fluttering open in surprise. Price's hands grab your hips, keeping you in place as he begins kissing your neck. You gasp, the feeling more extraordinary than anything you've ever felt.
You'd be lying if you hadn't imagined this exact scenario as you drifted off to sleep. You felt so dirty but so clean all at the same time. Finally having the attention from both of the men you've wanted to pound into your tight hole ever since you've met them felt like ecstasy. "Do you know what you do to us?" Price spoke, his words mumbled by your skin. "No.." You spoke. your voice shakey with excitement. "No?" Ghost asks, slightly amused. His hand moves away from your lips, it drags down your body as he grabs your hand.
"Let me show you, love." He says, the smirk evident in his voice. He guides your hand to his crotch. Your face lights up as you feel his erection through his pants. You look up at him, biting your lip as you do. You can't help the moan that slips through your lips as Price bucks his hips into your ass. The both of them having boners at the expense of you, made you feel so warm with lust.
"Look, we got 'em all riled up." Ghost chuckles to Price, Ghost's hand goes back to your face. Price chuckles as well, his lips still on your neck. "Such a pretty little thing." Price says with a rasp in his voice. Your face heats up, blush on your cheeks. Ghost's thumb swipes over your bottom lip again, only this time his thumb slips into your mouth. "Suck." He instructs you. You do as he says, sucking on his thumb. "There you go. Just like that." Price chimes in.
You clench your thighs together again. It all feels too much for you to handle. "Come on, you can take it. I know you can." Price encourages you when he notices how hot and bothered you've become. "You're being so good for us. So proud of you." Ghost says, pushing some of your hair out of your face. Price's hands grip tighter on your hips. It was obvious they were both finding you in this compromising position amusing. "I could do this every day." Price sighs into your neck while Ghost hums in agreement.

It is almost midnight when I post this. I am... so tired 💀 I don't like the ending but I don't know how I'd fix it and I'm too tired to bother anymore teehee

You bit the inside of your cheek to hide your wince as you passed the threshold of Sylus’s mansion. You were sure he already knew, with Mephisto always keeping an eye on you. You just hoped he didn’t know the full story.
You leaned against the wall and avoided looking down while you toed off your boots. The paint on the wall was as dark as the shadows in your worst nightmares. Your bruises would probably be just as dark.
“Welcome back, kitten,” Sylus greeted as he walked down the hall to greet you. “Was your apartment too far away?”
You shrugged noncommittally, but the sharp pain in your ribs nearly tensed your shoulder to permanently cover your ears. You hoped he wouldn’t notice. He would.
“This was closer.” Whether that was true or not, you have no idea. You don’t meet his eyes as you start to walk down the hall toward your room. There, you can take care of yourself in peace. “Go back to bed.”
He huffed, but there was very little amusement in the sound. His footsteps trailed right behind you. “Please, try not to sound so enthused, it’ll go straight to my head.” He tilted his head, white hair just catching the edge of your peripheral vision. “Your mission was a success, I presume, considering you’re still alive.”
You wished he’d just leave you alone. “Yup, a huge success,” you droned.
“No injuries, then?”
“If I say no, will you leave me alone?”
“If it’s the truth…” He pauses. You can hear the smirk in his voice. “No.”
“There’s no point answering, then.”
He chuckles. “You haven’t given me any incentive, kitten. How does leaving you alone benefit me, hm? There’s a give and take to these things, you understand.”
The climb up the stairs was agony. You tried not to let it show how bad your knees wobbled with each step, how you gripped the handrail like you were trying to strangle it, how your breath deepened as you struggled to catch it.
“I see you’re stubborn, as usual.”
You take larger steps to get to your room, despite the consequences. You turn the knob, rush in, and shove the door closed. Except, it didn’t close. That would mean the universe giving you even an ounce of luck today.
He pushes against the other side, effortlessly opening the door once more, even as you leaned against it with all your weight. It shuts with a light click, with Sylus on the inside.
“Show me,” he demands. You lean against the wall, panting through your nose and determinedly looking away. He sighs, irritated. “You can show me willingly, or I can tie you up and find out for myself. Your choice.”
You bite your cheek again. No matter how badly you wanted to keep it hidden away, keep your secrets close to your chest (literally), you could have gone to your apartment if you really wanted to keep it from him. It wouldn’t be hard to close yourself in a room with no windows, free from the prying eyes of that damned crow, and deal with it yourself.
And yet, you came here.
Despite his threat, he’s patient as he waits for you to make a choice. His red eyes seem to see right through you as they study your labored breaths, your minute giveaways of pain. Your hands trembled faintly by your sides, despite your subtle efforts to shake it away.
Eventually, you sigh. “Fine.” You don’t hide your wince as you push off of the wall, instinctively reaching for him for support. His hands grab your waist, keeping you upright. “Help me… take off my shirt.”
Sylus chuckles despite the tension in his brow as he helps you over to the bed to sit down. “Is it that difficult to ask for me to undress you?” He swiftly works to undo the buttons of your shirt.
His eyes flicker to every glimpse of exposed skin. There were ugly bruises, to be sure, but he’d never known you to let a few bruises slow you down. And yet he could see no sign of blood from an open wound anywhere. He frowns deeper.
“What were you fighting?”
You fiddle with your gloves, slowly working them off your fingers. “Just some knaves.”
He quirked an eyebrow. “Same knaves did this? Did you forget how to dodge, kitten?”
You glared up at him. Really, it was all the dodging that had caused this. If you’d had a partner, you’d probably be fine. You could have stayed at a distance and provided cover fire. But they’d shown up rather suddenly, without giving enough time to worry about finding a partner.
With the last button undone, Sylus lifted your left arm and carefully slid the long sleeve off your body, before repeating it with the right. He dropped it beside you on the bed.
“Don’t tell me you wore that while you fought.” His voice was so low, threatening. It was almost a growl.
“I didn’t have time to take it off before the fight,” you defended yourself. You toss your gloves aside and reach under your chest binder to feel your ribs. The rough fabric rubbing against your skin as you jostle it feels like sandpaper, grating away at your flesh. You wince again, trying not to shift too much. “This is just a minor fluke; it won’t happen again.”
He scoffed. “Yes, a minor fluke. And how long do you wear it for, day by day? I’m sure you take breaks, right?”
“I take breaks!”
“Sweetie, one or two minutes with it off does not make up for hours with it on.” He goes to grab the wide straps of the binder.
You swat his hands away, staring up at him with wide eyes and covering your already-covered chest. “I’m naked under this!”
He leans forward, face close to yours as he grabs your hands and pulls them away. “Please, don’t tempt me, sweetie. You’ve already run my patience thin.”
“I can take it off on my own.”
“Really? You can’t take off your shirt by yourself, but you can lift your arms and wriggle out of a compression binder all on your own? It’s a miracle.”
He doesn’t wait this time for you to approve before he grabs the straps and starts working the binder over your head. You try not to fight him, but being exposed in front of Onychinus’ leader wasn’t exactly on your bucket list.
He alternates between pulling at the straps and the bottom hem, though he’s careful for now not to touch your skin. He thinks if he does, your face would go from pink to crimson in a heartbeat.
Once the stiff fabric is over your head, your arms are maneuvered slowly through the arm holes. It finds a place on top of your discarded shirt.
He doesn’t ask before grabbing the sides of your ribcage.
“Sylus!” you scold. When you try to push an arm away, he only holds on tighter, making you hiss.
“The sooner I’m certain you haven’t broken anything, the sooner you can get dressed.” His face is tense with concentration as he feels along each rib, head shifted from side to side as he checks the dark bruises painting your skin.
He was right: your face is bright red.
He steps away after a minute and heads to the closet. “Nothing feels broken, but you’ve bruised your ribs. Which means,” he returns with an oversized shirt and begins helping you into it without prompting, “you’re sticking around for a while, kitten.”
“I can’t,” you dismiss, fluffing the shirt in the front to hide your chest. “I have work.”
“Hm. Who’s that doctor friend of yours? I’m sure he’d be delighted to lock you in a hospital room for a few weeks.”
You glare up at him. “You wouldn’t.”
He makes a show of pulling out his phone and clicking through it. He turns the screen toward you for a second, long enough for you to process Zayne’s contact. He clicks the call button and brings it up to his ear.
You scramble to stand on the bed and pull the phone from his hand. He lets you, smirking with smug triumph as you end the call and toss the phone up by the headrest. You’re eye-to-eye with him as you pour all your anger and hatred into your stare.
“Three weeks bedrest,” he says.
“Two.”
“Three.”
You breathe in deeply through your nose, wondering if your hands would fit around his neck.
“Maybe the deal isn’t sweet enough for you?” he muses with a head tilt. “If a flat chest is really your desire, I’ll have the best surgeon in the field here to consult you as soon as you’re healed.”
Your breath caught in your chest. “Wha-” You grabbed onto his shoulder to keep yourself from falling. “Are you serious? But- But the surgery is so expensive!”
He chuckles. “Sweet, you insult me. Now…” He steps closer, running his fingers over your jaw. “Do we have a deal?”
The phone began ringing behind you.
You searched his eyes for any sign of a bluff, but came up empty. Slyus was nothing if not a man of his word. And he did have the money; you remember him telling you to bid higher at the auction when you were first getting to know each other. That sort of cash would take you several months of saving up every cent of your paycheck.
The deal felt too good to be true. “What do you get out of this?”
“Aside from making sure you’re not going to irreparably injure yourself one day?” He hummed. “Nothing at all. Think of it as a gift, if that makes you feel better.”
A gift… Could you really accept something so grand?
Your fingers mindlessly tap against his shoulder. You sigh, the feeling of defeat and elation warring inside you. “Deal.”
His hand moved from your jaw to you chest and pushed, plummeting you into the soft expanse of bed behind you. You cried out as gravity took hold, bouncing on the mattress. You blinked and Sylus was right over you, one hand beside your head keeping himself propped up while the other reached to grab the still-ringing phone. He accepted the call and put it to his ear.
Your heart raced. Did he lie to you? You could hear the muffled voice of Zayne reciting his standard hospital greeting.
“Sorry, I called the wrong number.” He didn’t wait for a response before hanging up. The phone was slipped back into his pocket before he caged you in completely. “Don’t look so scared, kitten. I keep my promises.”

CHANCE
🕷️Warning: YANDERE THEMES , mentions of gun shot
🕷️ Pairing: mafia!Jay × doctor!reader
🕷️Synopsis:In the heart of a bustling city, Dr. (Reader) a renowned surgeon known for her unwavering commitment to saving lives, finds herself entangled in an unexpected situation when a notorious mafia leader, Jay Park, is brought into her emergency room, bleeding profusely from a gunshot wound and what's worse is that , he gets obessed with her.
Tumblr media
It was a usual day for (reader). The sun shining brightly, doing it's job perfectly showcasing her . How she was at her workplace again right on time . Very punctual indeed. With being punctual (reader) was also very hardworking.
She's a doctor at the be:lift hospital. She loves her job . It gives her a sense of comfort knowing she helps people heal , maybe there's a chance that she would save someone from dying.
Life is a very valuable thing which you can get just once . There may be second chances and she's here to give people just that. Second chance to live their life again , this time while taking care of their mistakes , learning from them and not repeating them again.
Second chances , very fascinating and amusing aren't they? Some people get second chance while some don't , it's upon fate .
Back to (reader) , she had just completed an operation successfully , saving yet another life. She felt at ease knowing she gave someone another chance to live .
Suddenly her peace was interrupted by loud noises , people were screaming in a hospital? Oh how rude - she thought. She was going to go stop them and ask why they were screaming in a hospital in the first place , they should know that it might disturb the patients.
But just as she was about to open the door she heard footsteps , they were getting louder as seconds passed by implying that someone was coming towards her . They also sounded like they were in a hurry . Maybe someone is very serious! - a thought crossed her mind and without any further ado she opened the door only to be my by 6 men , all in a similar attire : a black shiny and shimmery blazer , colour like that of a black hole with shining black boots where one could see their reflection. Upon studying their faces , she could sense they were panicking.
“Are you the doctor? Hurry up , he got shot!” one of the guy stated. He looked young yet authoritative, like he had some power.
(Reader) quickly nodded , it was about someone's life! She has to save him. She called out for some nurses and took the injured patient to the operation ward while the other waited outside for them.
He got shot? How would he get shot? He isn't dressed up like a cop. Is he a criminal? Her eyes widen at the thought but she wasn't sure about the assumption she's making . Should she prioritize saving the life of a potential criminal , or adhere strictly to her oath as a healer?
As Dr. L/n and her team work tirelessly to stabilize the patient's condition, tension fills the air. The presence of the person's six brothers, each with a intimidating aura as his own, looms over the hospital.
As the operation progresses, Dr. L/n is faced with unexpected challenges. The bullet has caused severe damage, and the patient's condition deteriorates rapidly. Despite her expertise, she fears that his chances of survival are slim.
With time running out, Dr. l/n makes a bold decision. Drawing upon all her skills and determination, she pushes herself to the limit, refusing to give up on her patient. In a high-stakes gamble, she performs a risky procedure that could either save the patient's life or seal his fate.
As the operation reaches its critical moment, a hush falls over the operating room. Every second feels like an eternity as Dr. L/n and her team fight to wrestle the patient back from the brink of death.
Finally, the monitors beep with renewed vigor, signaling a glimmer of hope. Against all odds, his heart begins to beat steadily once more, and his breathing stabilizes.
The surgery is a success.
A sigh of relief escapes her as she removes her mask to breath properly.
----
She goes out to inform the six individuals outside the room , awaiting for their companion to be saved.
“The surgery was a success. The patient is out of danger now”
She could hear multiple sighs of relief. They all felt like they could finally breath again , their tensed shoulders relaxed a bit after hearing the good news.
“You'll have to come with me now , I have some questions to ask" said Dr. l/n . She needed to know what exactly caused this.
“We need to see hyung first” the young yet intimidating guy proclaims.
“sure this way , but only two of you can enter as we can not have he patient feeling overwhelmed” (reader) sighs yet expresses her duties.
“I"ll go check on him guys” states the young guy
“I"ll accompany you !" Another voice asserts . He looked mature , maybe he is the eldest .
Dr l/n leads the way to the operating room where he patient lies . Upon reaching the guys rush towards him while she stays back just to observe.
Meanwhile Jay finally regained his consciousness back and opened his eyes , to be met with a sight of an angel , or so he thought.
Was he already in heaven? Oh he can't be with the number of crimes he has committed. So who is this angel like individual?
Upon seeing his eyes open , the other two individuals rush towards him.
“Jay! Are you okay?” questions the elder guy
Oh so his name is Jay - thinks (reader)
The younger one hits him “ofcourse he is not fine heeseung hyung , would you be fine if you were shot?”
“I'm just trying to be caring Jungwon!”
There goes their introduction too.
Despite the chaos and danger that surrounds him, Jay is captivated by her grace and skill, feeling a stirring within him that he's never experienced before.
As Jay awakens in the recovery room, his thoughts are consumed by Dr. L/n . Entranced by her beauty and kindness, he becomes obsessed with the idea of making her his own, convinced that she is the one who can bring light into his dark world afterall she's the one who brought him back to life right?
Jay is occupied with the thoughts of his newfound obsession, but his is brought back to reality by his two companions inquiring about his condition. To which he replies that it's fine because he can't seem to focus on anything else than the angel standing infront of his eyes.
He's observing her - Her beautiful face as if carved especially by God , every inch of her face and body screams perfection to him. Her shiny black lucious hair which turns brownish under the lights , her small button nose , or her eyes - she possesses brown almond-shaped eyes, framed delicately by medium-length eyelashes that accentuate her gaze. Her lips, adorned with a soft shade of pink, exude a subtle allure, adding a touch of warmth to her features.
Oh he was down bad for her . Was this what people refer to as love at first sight?
A knock interrupts all their activities.
“We all need you outside , the patient needs to rest and we need your statement” says a nurse
They bid their byes and inform him that he'll be out soon but all he can think about is how to get his hands on his angel and make her his.
----
The interrogation is stopped. The individuals were influential people and so they can do whatever they wished and they did not wish for this information to be out so they hushed everyone with their power. They wanted jay to be safe so they commanded for him to be shifted at their house where a doctor would help him if needed and fortunately for Jay , (reader) was chosen since she operated on him.
----
The next day , Jay is shifted to the nursery that is located in his big mansion. (Reader) was surprised at how big the mansion was , so they were rich rich.
Upon entering she also noticed alot of individuals wearing black blazer with guns in their hands . Were they that rich that they needed bouncers? The girl thought .
She helped Jay get comfortable and brought him lunch in time . While feeding him , she decided to interrogate him personally, maybe he could provide her with some information.
(Reader): Mr. Jay, can you recount the events leading to your injury?
Jay: It was a confrontation with a rival organization. We were negotiating a business deal when things turned violent.
(Reader): Were there any specific triggers that escalated the situation?
Jay: It seemed like a premeditated ambush. They were armed and ready when we arrived at the meeting point.
(Reader): Did you have any indication of hostility prior to the encounter?
Jay: Not explicitly, but tensions have been escalating between our groups for some time.
(Reader): I see. And how did you manage to escape the altercation?
Jay: I made a split-second decision to flee when the gunfire erupted, sustaining this injury in the process.
(Reader) : and what exactly do you do if I may ask?
Jay: You'll get know soon.
He expressed making (reader) frown . Why is it not the right time? What does he do that can't be spoken casually? Her thoughts are interrupted when someone comes barging in the room.
“Jay hyung I'm glad you are alright, we are planning to make them regret their actions by acquiring their company and killing them”
Her eyes widen at the word killing that the younger individual just slipped so casually. Was she in danger? Are these criminals?
“You should really read the room and check your surroundings before you speak Niki” said Jay rather calmly .
“i know I said soon but i didn't know it would be this soon , but now you know I guess. I am Jay Park - a mafia , a criminal or whatever your vocabulary describes individuals like me, but don't be scared , we won't harm you” he said with a eeire smile
All the words went from one ear and escaped through another , all (reader) heard was that he's a mafia. Confused and terrified, she finds herself thrust into a nightmare as Jay reveals his true identity but she knew better , she needed to act smartly and calmly. She took a deep breath .
“That's none of my business Jay , although I'm glad that I'm reassured about my safety”
Despite her initial fear, she senses a vulnerability within him so she doesn't ponder further . Niki mutters an apology and quickly leaves before he gets yelled at.
“I"ll be leaving tomorrow either way” speaks yn
“No you're not” Jay replies casually as if it was supposed to be common sense
“Umm yes I am , a nurse would be replacing me tomorrow” She filled him in with the necessary information
“No you won't ever be leaving me , this is your house from now on”
Her eyes widen at the words that left his mouth but later she started laughing.
“Omg you had me there Jay , I must say . You have a great sense of humour” she stopped laughing when she noticed Jay's face remained monotonous and serious . No sign of humour could be sensed from him.
“you're joking right?” questions yn in disbelief
“Whatever you want to think but you aren't going anywhere . If you can't piece it together , I'll piece it out for you . I love you and now you are mine ”
Would reader give Jay a chance ? Or would he need a second chance?

The Rich & The Damned
Tumblr media
Warnings: unprotected sex, implied sexy accountant, public car sex, choking
How did I get here? Men usually paid annual salaries just to get a few minutes of my time but now.. I’m in the front seat of a Rolls Royce for free. With a man who doesn’t respect what I do. Who wants me to quit my job and be his good little wife. He infuriates me. He belittles me. But fuck.. his touch turns my PHD brain into mush.
I’m good at what I do. I recognize my skill set and I know how to play powerful men. I’ve paid my bills with cash in advance for years and put myself through Ivy League schools that only care about last names. I don’t have a big name but I have loaded pockets and that speaks volumes. So why the fuck am I on this man’s lap, dying for a scrap of attention when he can no longer be bothered to come inside to see me?
“Fuck me.. please.. I need you.” I whine, tugging on his hair as he peppers kisses along my throat and collar bone, large hands palming my thong-clad ass and rock me against his erection.
“Come home with me.” He growls, taking a chunk of my flesh between his teeth and making me hiss as I shove his head away.
“I told you not to mark me.” I snap, glaring at him even as his blue eyes shine with amusement and mischief.
“And I told you if you wanted back in my bed, you had to stay off the pole.” His words sting, even with the red lipstick smeared across his mouth. If anything the smirk on his face combined with the red smear made him look even more sinister.
I pull my lips back in a snarl as his hand slides between my parted things to cup my pussy. I slap at his hand but his free hand finds my throat, pushing my back against the dash and squeezing hard.
“You’re not for them.” He growls, tucking my thong to the side before shoving two then three fingers inside me. My eyes roll back into my head, my pussy gushing in his hand as he strokes my sweet spot.
“I-I’m not yours.” I rasp, riding his hand like a desperate whore. God, I’d agree to anything right now if it meant I got to feel his fat cock inside me again. Maybe it’s the lack of oxygen to my brain as he squeezes even harder.
“Don’t lie to me. You’re not very good at it.” His words light me on fire again, making me dig my nails into his chest as I try to lift off his hand. The hand around my throat drops to my chest and he yanks my bra down so my breasts spill out.
“I guess we’re both liars.” I purr, just as his hot mouth closes around my nipple and sucks hard. I was so close to my orgasm I could feel it in my toes. I throw my head back as I shamelessly ride his hand but I desperately craved his cock instead.
“Maybe if you’d stop treating me like one of your customers.” I yelp when he’s teeth sink into my nipple so hard, I know there’s blood. Or the very least, a new piercing. His fingers leave me aching and needy in their retreat.
“Stop treating me like a whore and maybe I’d treat you like someone who actually means something to me.” I bite back, shoving his chest hard as I hear the sound of his belt buckle. When his cock springs free between us it takes everything in me to keep my composure. His large hand wraps around the thick shaft as he strokes himself almost lazily. The tip leaked clear drops of precum that I desperately wanted to chase with my tongue.
“Fuck me in my bed and maybe I’ll believe you’re somebody else.”
I was so fucking weak for him. I wanted to choke on it even if it meant I didn’t get off. If he fucked my throat until it was raw, I’d say thank you like the obedient slut I was. But only for him. Only ever him. So why didn’t he get that? I’d fuck him in front of every single client I had just to show him I was his. He could lead me around on a leash if that’s what it took.
I reached back to unhook my bra and let it fall to the floor before wrapping my hand around his on his cock. I savor the way his eyes become hooded and his breathing becomes labored just from my touch. I loved that he was as weak as I was.
“You—,” I brought my other hand up to his throat, squeezing the best I could until his eyes fully dilated while I lifted myself up on his thighs, “—don’t own—,” I notched his thick cock at my entrance and sank down one excruciating inch, “—me.” I sank down the rest of the way, my body welcoming the pain and stretch of him as his breathy moans met my ears.
It was always in moments like these where it became obvious that Rafe Cameron was fucking mine.

🫡 I will send in a request for some Bi-Han angst. Let’s do one where reader and Bi Han are in an argument (as couples do) and reader says something that’s very true (like idk he’s too quick to anger) And this causes a reaction out of him. And of course, being a stinky sexy angry man, he ends up lashing out in anger. And OOP- ice shards come flying towards reader, (the cold never bothered me anyway) cutting her cheek and slashing her forearm, along with a few other scrapes. Bi Han realizes she’s actually fucking RIGHT and showers reader with love, praise, and begins helping with her wounds. (Fluffy? Apology sex maybe 🤔)
WAIT WAIT THINK THINK BRAIN BLAST THIS IS REALLY AMAZING
Enough Anna..I SAID ENOUGH o(≧口≦)o
Bi-Han angst to fluff to sex 🤯 afab

‘Do you even for once want to think about how I feel about this? Because if you took a second to even talk to me half of your problems wouldn’t exist.’
His back is turned from you as he washes the blood out of one of his uniforms
‘Why won’t you look at me, I want to talk to you but you make it so, so hard. Can you even look at me, can you handle looking at me?’
‘Wouldn’t you like that? For me to just look at you and change everything about me. This is who I am, and you can either acknowledge that or continue to live in ignorance.’
‘But this isn't who you are. You are making rash and unusual decisions. I'm worried you are going to do something you'll regret immensely. You're quick to rage and you know that.’
He whips around, ice coming from his arm going towards you
‘What would you know about being Grandmaster? I am helping my clan- my people. They are thriving and are respected because of me.’
You don't hear what he says as your arms go up to protect your face and stomach from the ice shards.
They slice through your skin with ease, going through your forearm and shoulder. One even skims your cheek
It was only after his speech that Bi-Han noticed what he had done, a rash, and unusual decision that he immediately regretted.
But he doesn't make a move to go toward you, he just stands there in shock
However, you move, you move away from him quite quickly
‘Come back here. I meant no harm in my actions.’
You do not come back. You run off to the nurses
When the sky turns dark and inflicts its symptoms of the night- drowsiness, and the need for another to be by your side as you rest; you are no where to be seen
He knows it would be better to find you himself
So he wonders around until he finds you, bandaged up and sitting on a bench
‘I have been looking for you’
You look in his direction
‘Why didn't you come back’
‘You know why’
‘Please come back’
He's frowning, more than usual
‘Please?’
‘Please’
You get up, slowly walking to him
‘What do you need me to do to get you to come back?’
‘I don't know Bi-Han, everything hurts and I'm injured. I don't know if I want to come back.’
‘I’ll carry you back if you would like’
‘You’ll carry me back?’
You sound amused but he looks serious
He picks you up bridal style and starts to walk back to his room
‘You can’t just change for a day and expect me to forgive you. I don't think you'll keep up with this.’
‘With what?’
‘Being nice to me.’
He doesn't say anything to that.
After he returns to his room, he sits you on the bed
‘You are dirty’
‘Yes, I am.’
‘How do I help you clean, with your bandages?’
‘I need to take them off first, then put on new ones after’
‘So it's fine if you clean your wounds in the bath?’
‘Yes’
‘Okay..’
He takes you to his bathroom, carefully undressing you
‘Ow-’
‘Did I hurt you, What did I do?’
‘My shirt, you took it off too fast. My shoulder isn't looking good, I can just take off my own clothes..’
He shakes his head, pulling you onto his lap
‘I will be more gentle. Where else do I need to be wary of?’
‘It's just my upper body, everything else is mostly fine’
After removing your clothes, he turns on the water
Keeping you on his lap, he strokes your hair with one hand, and the other is wrapped around your waist
‘Feel the water, is that temperature okay with you?’
‘That's fine’
He slips you in, holding onto your chest rather than your arms
‘I am regretful of my earlier treatment of you. Will you let me show you I am sorry?’
‘Depends, how do you plan on showing me you didn't mean to harm me?’
‘You will see’
After bathing you, he sits you on his bed
‘Where do I need to wrap you?’
‘Shoulder and arm, anything else is fine being left alone’
He's slow and cautious when treating you, knowing you are vulnerable
You sit there naked and shivering as a man, much gruff, holds you
‘Does that feel secure?’
‘Yes, thank you’
‘I am..sorry’
‘I know’
He frowns, squeezing your cheeks with one of his hands
You return this act, cupping his face with one of your hands
When you think he's leaning in to kiss you, he just presses his forehead against yours
‘I want to make you feel good’
‘How do you plan to do that?’
He's in between your thighs, slowly laying down so his head is on your cunt
Oh
With a little kitten lick, he starts to work on your clit
His hands are gripping your thighs as you have a hold of his hair
Slipping in two fingers, he starts to pump them in and out of your warm pussy
One of his hands wonders onto your chest and plays with your nipple
Then he starts to thrust his tongue into your vagina, his fingers now playing with your clit
The pace is fast and hard, and he's grinding into the bed
His nose is stimulating you along with his fingers, its too much
You don't ask him to stop though, that doesn't even cross your mind
With another suck to your clit your hips stutter and you squirt into his mouth
He licks it up, even lapping at your pussy to try to get more
Sighing into the bed, he rides out your orgasm
When he doesn't stop though, your thighs clench around his head on instinct
Pulling away, he wipes his lips
‘Did you feel good?’
‘Yes Bi-Han, thank you’
‘Do you still hold what happened earlier against my character?’
‘I won't just forget what happened, but I don't hate you for it’
You run your fingers through his hair as he lays his head on your chest
‘Okay..’
‘I love you, I hope you know that’
‘Thank you..’
You kiss his head and you both doze off, what happened earlier doesn't matter right now
Nothing matters right now, it's okay

« remind me why I’m here again please? » your bestfriend renjun says as he takes his shoes off to enter your place
you told him to come extra early because as always you were nervous as shit and needed someone to vent to before meeting up with mark near the park
« renjun please stop taking the piss out of me before I get where you are and get violent » you say as you’re heading to the kitchen going to grab something to drink
« I am literally not making fun of you, also I haven’t completely made my mind up on whether I should ditch you or not so I’d watch it if I were you » your bestfriend says sitting on your couch
you watched amused from the kitchen seeing how comfortable he is around your place, it made you happy to see such an important friend to you ease so well into your living space
« you’re here because i gave mark flowers and never want to be alone with him ever again » you say handing him the glass of water
« you do realize that if you actually want something to happen with mark, you’re going to have to hang out alone with him even if you’re nervous about it » you bestfriend says sighing
« i don’t even know if I want something to happen with mark it’s all so… quick and scary you know? and also I have hung out with him alone before like right after my finals for example?? » you say throwing yourself on your couch to really emphasize the dramatic effect of the whole thing
« true, but anyway you’ve had a crush on mark- or sorry hallway crush on mark for like two years? and now that you guys are finally getting to know each other that’s when you wanna back off? » your friend says not really understanding you
« like you said, I’ve had a hallway crush on mark for a long time, it was fun pretending that he definitely looked at me and that he’s in love with me just because he glanced at my direction for a micro second. It would make me laugh so hard having mark in my vicinity and going to tell you guys about it saying how he practically proposed to me. But now that I actually got to know him, he’s nice and we’re friends and I get along with him. I don’t want to have an actual crush on mark where i seriously start to overanalyze whatever the man does to comfort me instead of the funny delusions i used to have. I don’t want to have an actual serious crush on mark because I don’t want to lose him as a friend. I thought I was doing a good job but that fuckass flower bouquet oh my god.. my hands were so sweaty and I was so nervous, I didn’t want him to think that I was weird and I was so scared and I feel like that’s not a reaction that I want to have when being with mark, I honestly don’t know where my feelings stand today and it’s not something I wanna find out. that’s why I need you here for support today » you rant to your friend not even bothering to look at him in case you start to actually get emotional or something
« can’t believe I’m only here to be your emotional support animal or whatever » renjun says getting up from the couch (probably to refill his glass)
« noooooooo don’t say that, you’re making me sound like an asshole » you say voice muffled as you’re hugging your friend from the back (or more like hanging off of him while he very painfully drags you to the kitchen)
« you are an asshole » he replies to which you only nod, it was fair after all.
« but whatever I’m here so unless I start to feel like a third wheel I’ll be by your side the whole time so you don’t have to worry, now go get dressed now cause otherwise we’ll be running late » renjun finishes
as you head into your room you softly smile finding comfort in the fact that no matter how badly this whole mark situation ends, you’ll still have your friends to back you up
you were standing next to renjun who was sitting on a bench complaining about the park that was- and i quote- a longer walk then what you told him. as you were about to speak to get him to shut up you hear both your names being called
« hi, I’m sorry I hope you guys didn’t wait for long » mark says
holy shit the man looked good. suspiciously so.
« no we just got here because the walk was THIRTY MINUTES and not fifteen like she told- » before your best friend could finish his sentence you put your hand over his mouth, you had ENOUGH
« renjun, i love you, really you know I do now PLEASE ENOUGH » you say as renjun puts his hands up innocently and mark laughs
« do you guys know what you wanna do? » mark asks to which you both shrug
you looked at your surroundings spotting a cool cafe that seemed cozy enough for you guys to stay in so you pointed at it and in a mutual agreement they both nodded
« so how long have you guys been friends? » mark asks you chuckle quietly seeing how hard he was trying to make this less awkward (it also reminded you of when he did that the first time you sat next to donghyuck)
«  i don’t even know man, i only remember seeing his drawings and i was gagged, i thought he was the coolest person i had ever seen in my life… little did i know tho » you say earning an elbow to your side from renjun
« omg wait renjun i didn’t tell you… mark congratulated us for being in a relationship the other day » you say as mark immediately gets red and renjun looks at you in confusion trying to decipher if you want mark to believe that you’re dating him so he should play along or if he should tell the truth
« i’m sorry, it’s just the tweets, i believed you guys were dating.. man why would you tell him im so embarrassed now » mark says and before you could reply your friend bursts out laughing
« cmon now.. the thought of me dating you surely isn’t that fucking funny » you say cause why the fuck was he laughing that hard
« yes it is oh my god… yea no not in a relationship not now not ever » he replies as you just frown
«  you know what? ningning would never treat me like that, i’m going to ditch all of you for other people i can’t keep being disrespected like that » you say, mark raises his hands up
« what did i do?? » he defends himself « you’re laughing!! » you reply to which he only nods
« so you take piano lessons? i’ve heard you play before and have a hard time imagining what you could possibly learn more » you say trying to make conversation
« no haha, i give piano lessons to a child, i do it here and there to make a bit of money » mark replies
« damn, maybe i should do something with my life to get a bit of money too, i’ll like babysit or something » you say more to yourself than anyone
« babysit?? i don’t think anyone in their right mind should trust you with their kid » renjun says
« i have to start somewhere though i mean look you sell your art, make gives piano lessons the fuck am i supposed to do?? » you reply sipping on your drink
« i’ve just got this crazy idea.. what if you like gave bass lessons? » mark says pretending to be enlightened because… duh? why would you consider babysitting when you can play the bass?
you just shrug at him because you weren’t in the mood for reassurance which you know would come if you told the two men you’re eating with that you couldn’t give bass lessons cause you’re not talented enough
as you were sipping on the (very overpriced but very good) drink you ordered you stopped for a second to watch your bestfriend and mark just being completely in love with each other. you giggled quietly remembering the whole speech renjun gave you about putting yourself out there to catch mark’s attention when as it turns out he’s the one stealing your man from you
« why am i third wheeling right now » you say with a smile on your face, this whole situation was just too funny
« yea, that’s crazy, i didn’t know we would get along so well. renjun, i was so intimidated when she told me you were coming » mark says
« i’m glad i’m here though, you really are nice i understand why jaemin and y/n like you so much » renjun says somehow emphasizing the fact that you ‘like him so much’
« cmon now i don’t like him THAT much let’s take it down a notch » you say defending yourself. mark was going to eventually figure out you liked him but it was definitely NOT today
« you’re so obsessed with me oh my god » mark says laughing
as you guys were heading out of the café (after multiple hours of you third wheeling) renjun turned to both of you guys. you expected the worst seeing his quick apologetic glance he threw at you
« guys i’m so sorry i’m gonna have to go but please by all means continue your hangout i wouldn’t want it stopping just because i leave i mean after all i wasn’t even supposed to be here in the first place » he said. he looked so apologetic you almost couldn’t get mad at him.
almost. because you knew him too well and knew for a fact that he did not have anything planned at all and was just ditching you guys to make you hang out with mark alone. how did you know? first of all the fact he so clearly insisted on the hang out not being over just because he left but also because of the small smile (more like smirk) he was so desperately trying to fight. asshole.
as he hugs you before leaving he whispers in your ear « you’ll do fine i’m sure of it, and if you don’t then i owe you for life or something » then he left. and suddenly you wanted to kill yourself
« you can leave if you want, i won’t tell renjun i promise » mark says looking..apologetic?
« huh? » you answer because why was he looking at you like that
«  i know you didn’t wanna hang out alone with me and i don’t want to make you uncomfortable so you can leave » mark says not even looking at you anymore suddenly finding the ground much more interesting
« it’s crazy how big of an asshole i must be oh my god. i won’t leave though, not unless you want me to. i’ll be honest i didn’t want to hang out with you alone because i thought you would find me weird since i gave you a bouquet and i got nervous » yeaaa…. that’s definitely why yup!
mark bursts out laughing « that’s why?? dude i really loved the bouquet you shouldn’t feel nervous. and we’ve hung out alone before so bouquet or not you shouldn’t feel nervous with me we’re friends » he says putting his arm around your shoulder (you would’ve totally freaked out if the man hadn’t called you his friend right before doing that)
« i’m glad i got to meet renjun though, you guys seem close » he says removing his arm from your shoulder ( ☹️ )
« yea renjun is an amazing friend honestly i wouldn’t trade him for the world, he constantly reassures me and takes care of me i really wonder what good deeds i’ve done to deserve the man » you say
« sounds like you might have a little crush » mark teases
« nah, i love renjun to the core but it’s really not like that, he’s my twin flame my best friend, i’m just immensely grateful for everything he’s done for me » you finish your rant, mark only nods somehow understanding what you’re telling him
« oh there’s another park not far away let’s go » mark says
«  im down » you answer
once arriving to the park, mark automatically goes to the playground, an action that made you chuckle a bit
« dude check out there monkey bars, i used to be so good when i was younger » mark says climbing on them
« really? i hated those so much i only went on the swings and slides » you answer while mark calls you boring
after three hours of talking (and playing) it was now getting late so you both decided to go home, with mark walking you there of course.
you were now in front of your apartment
« thank you for agreeing to go out with me today. i’m glad we’ve moved past the awkward stage of our friendship. thank you for the flowers again, you never fail to make me feel special, i hope one day i can make you feel that too » mark says
« duuuude you are special i’m not even doing anything. also i’m glad we’re friends too. and you need to stop thanking me for the flowers it was nothing » you answer
« maybe it wasn’t much to you but it means so much more than you could ever imagine to me. anyway i won’t bother you any longer, goodbye y/n » mark says
« bye mark » you say waving at him before closing the door.
you make him feel special.

Where Love and Confusion Begin (Ominis Gaunt x F!Reader)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Do you really think I could be that cruel and careless to you?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
December 25th, 1893 The Yule Ball... Wear your best formal attire-
Everywhere I turned I seemed to hear about. Countless after countless bouts of excited, restless chatter would always manage to come echoing back to me. And while I understood why most would be excited about the prospect of a ball, I on the other hand couldn't help but feel... downright anxious about it all.
I knew it sounded silly, completely dramatic. Afterall, I had been through a lot worse things during my time in Hogwarts. But for some reason, my mind, my thoughts, my worries just couldn't relax. And when they did for a short while, they'd slowly begin to drift back onto one person...
Ominis Gaunt.
I was practically infatuated with the man. For a multitude of reasons, besides his obviously good looks. He was marvelously kind, had a whit so quick it could make your head spin, and could be snarky and sarcastic one minute. But caring and loving the next.
Ominis simply made it hard not to love him.
But he did, however, make it hard for me to even think about going to the Yule Ball with him. We were friends, close ones despite the fact that I had only been at Hogwarts for a couple of years. Our friendship would be something I'd always treasure, something I would never want to ruin because my love for him clouded my judgement.
And the thought of losing him because of that was enough to make me nauseous.
"Enjoying a cat nap, are we?"
I slowly cracked open one of my eyes, wincing slightly at the beam of sunlight that had been slowly warming me as I laid down in one of the many alcoves at Hogwarts. But once my vision focused fully, Sebastian came into view. Grinning down at me cheekily.
"I wasn't napping." I muttered, forcing myself to sit up. "Just enjoying the sun.
"You could've gone outside for that." Sebastian suggested, now sitting down on the floor too.
"It's freezing, you sit outside for an hour." I replied, a little too snappy for my liking.
But Sebastian wasn't fazed by my crass mood in the slightest. In fact, Sebastian seemed to find me to be quite humorous. "Aww, is someone missing their nap partner?" He teased, making me grumble in annoyance.
"Oh, shut it, I don't know what you're talking about."
Sebastian let an exaggerated sigh, leaning back slightly on his hands before continuing. "You both are insufferably stubborn you know that right? Ominis was in a terrible mood after History of Magic because you decided to ditch today."
I scoffed at Sebastian theatrics, not even bothering to hide the fact that I had rolled my eyes. "History of Magic is painfully boring, anyone who goes to that class will be in a ba-"
"History of Magic is tiring enough, but her not being their made it worse." Sebastian deadpanned, trying his hardest to imitate Ominis's tone.
"Well, I am very entertaining." I replied sarcastically. "And can you really blame me for skipping out on that class? I swear if I hear one more time how many wizarding cloaks were destroyed during the Goblin Rebellion, I'll lose whatever mind I have left."
"It's 632." Sebastian couldn't help but laugh at my less than amused expression.
"Are you finished? Or did you actually approach me to talk about something important?"
"Yes." He began, clearing his throat. "If you would stop changing the topic that is."
"I am not-"
"Ah, ah, that's the same thing Ominis said to me after classes. You two are so incredibly in sync today." Sebastian teased. "It's quite adorable really. He's moody, you're moody, you're happy, he's smiling up a storm, if you've disappeared to... god knows where, a majority of the time he's right there with you."
It annoyed me to no end how right on the money he is...
"What're you getting at Sebastian?" I questioned meekly, trying my hardest to ignore the flush I was beginning to feel on my cheeks.
"I think we both know exactly what I'm getting at." Sebastian spoke bluntly, raising up from the stone-cold floor. "Maybe you should ask him, Ominis can get into his head rather easily. And you know that can stop him from saying what he wants to."
Sebastian then walked away, leaving me practically dumbfounded on the floor.
Ask him... ask him... merlin I don't know if that idea made me feel better or worse. The idea of being rejected by him was painful. But maybe if I asked to go with him as friends that it would work...
"Sebastian, you might've actually had a good idea for once."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I had decided to skip dinner for the night, not feeling too hungry after the talk I had with Sebastian. I figured a moment alone would give me enough clarity to decide whether I'd actually bite the bullet and asked Ominis to the ball.
"Ah, there you. I was starting to think you were avoiding me."
But a moment alone in this school was a rarity... Of course, he was here... why wouldn't he be?
"Ominis, I figured you would've been in the Great Hall for dinner." I greeted, trying to keep my nervous laughter from bubbling up to the surface.
"Wasn't hungry." He answered nonchalantly, turning back to face the fireplace of our common room.
I stood there for a moment, in silence, completely unsure of what to say next. But Ominis beat me to it, filling the silence before I got the chance to.
"Aren't you going to sit?" He began, I hadn't even noticed he had turned his head again, his eyes somehow managing to land right on me.
Just like they always managed to do...
"Or were you really avoiding me?"
That sentence managed to snap me out of my tongue-tied state. That nervous laugh I held in before leaked out before I had the chance to stop it this time around. "You know I wasn't avoiding you."
I finally moved from my spot, walking over and sitting next to him on the couch. I couldn't help but gaze over at him. His hand was lightly raised in the air, his wand beaming red at the tip as a book rested in his lap. A small smile curved his pale pink lips, he looked completely at ease. Which after the past couple of years was a nice sight to see.
"You're nervous." Ominis muttered, and though his voice was soft, I couldn't help but tense up. "You keep bouncing your leg... I know you only do that when you're anxious about something."
"I didn't even realize I was doing it." I admitted, leaning back into the cush couch cushions.
Ominis copied my movements, leaning back against the cushions a mere moment later. His book was now abandoned, the pages of it turning carelessly on their own accord. "Something on your mind?"
I took in a steady breath; thankful it had not trembled like I thought it would. "Maybe." I answered coyly, making Ominis's small smile bloom slightly.
"Are those thoughts the reason I've hardly heard from you all day?"
damn it damn it damn it... think of something to say quick... don't come off as suspicious...
"Hey, maybe you were the one avoiding me. Last time I checked I haven't heard from you too much either today." I deflected, trying to sound humorous.
"Hmm," Ominis hummed. "You've got a good point there... but I have a reason for my... disappearance." He added vaguely.
I leaned forward trying to get a good look at his face. The shadows of the fire danced along his face, illuminating his marble eyes beautiful. His expression was humorous too, and I knew exactly why...
"You know I hate it when you leave me hanging like that." I grumbled, making him let out a smooth chuckle.
"I merely wanted to avoid the constant chatter of the Yule Ball is all. It's beginning to become a bit... excessive."
"You two are so in sync today."
I shook my head, trying to get the words Sebastian had spoken out of my head. "You're telling me, you should hear what I wake up to everyday as of late."
"I could only image." Ominis replied, chuckling once again. "I would rather not hear about something I know I'm not going to."
I could feel my heart sink at his words. I hadn't even thought of the fact that he might not want to go at all.
"N-not going to? Why wouldn't you go?" I questioned curiously.
"A blind person spending their night alone at a ball doesn't exactly sound to enticing to me."
"Oh." Is all I could think to say, I leaned back into the couch contemplating my next move carefully.
Should I ask him... what if he just really doesn't want to go. I don't wanna look stupid.
Screw it...
"Would you want to go with me?"
I tense at my own words, not daring to move to see Ominis's reaction. My heart was racing, so much so it felt as though my pulse was about to burst through my skin. And the silence I was met with after I asked was completely unsettling.
Merlin why did I listen to Seb-
"It's a bit untraditional for a girl to ask a boy to a ball, isn't it?" He pondered.
Okay, it's not a total no... that's a relief.
"Maybe, but it's not like that has to be a bad thing." I replied hopefully. "And besides, it'll be fun to go with someone who... so entertaining to you." I added, attempting to sound boastful, but it just came across as a bit... jumbled.
Another bout of silence came, and in those few moments of the quiet. Part of me wished I was a legilimens, so I could see what was going on inside his mind... so I could hear what he thought of all of this.
When finally, I got my answer.
"I think it'd be nice to go with you."
Oh, my Merlin he actually said yes...
I couldn't stop the smile that began to form, a bubbling shyness began to boil to the surface. And my heart still definitely felt like it was going to beat out of its chest. With what little shred of coolness I had left, I finally was able to reply.
"It's a date...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Then, the 25th rolled around... a day I was dreading at one point. But now felt so excited about it that I couldn't sleep.
I felt giddy, or like a swarm of butterflies was fluttering throughout me. I felt restless, I couldn't stay in one place, and I fought the urge to not pace most of the night. But for some reason, I couldn't seem to care... and with every passing hour that I stayed awake, it just revitalized me.
Though, judging from the bags in my eyes, my body didn't exactly share the same sentiment I did.
But thank goodness for Samantha Dale...
I never would've guessed she had such a knack for Herbology. Yet, when she let me up into her dorm in the Ravenclaw tower, after we agreed to get ready together. A whole spread of concoctions was set up.
"You know there is such a thing as beauty sleep." Samantha teased as she stared at my reflection in her vanity.
She carefully places a mint green cream under my eyes, making a pleasant tingling sensation hit me. "That'll clear those bags up in no time!" She stated confidently.
"Thank you." I began to bounce my leg again as the nerves began to creep up on me.
"Nervous?" Samantha asked, sitting down on the edge of her bed.
"Is it obvious?" I asked in reply, letting out a shaky chuckle.
"Just a smidge." She spoke considerately. "But I don't think you need any reason to fret. I find you and Ominis to be a lovely pairing."
My eyes shot up from my hands to gaze at her and I could feel an eyebrow raise questioningly. "P-paring? as in?"
"A couple?" Samantha replied, just as questioningly as I did.
"Oh... we aren't together... like that." I muttered sheepishly.
Samantha chuckled, looking over at me incredulously. "There's no way! Honestly, a lot of people already assume you two are together."
"Really?"
Samantha scoffed, shaking her head at me. "Look, I've seen the way you look at him. And I've seen the way he is around you. People who aren't in love don't act like that."
"Hey, I'm not denying that I've fallen for him." I admitted honestly. "It's just... a hard thing to say to someone you've grown so close to."
Samantha just eyed me for a moment, seemingly taking my words in. "You think he doesn't feel the same way, do you?"
I felt my lips curve into a bittersweet smile. My sights falling onto my hands again. "It's hard to believe that he would."
"Hmm... but, you two are going to the ball together?"
I chuckled at her puzzled words before nodding my head. "Sounds maddening, doesn't it?"
Samantha was quick to shake her head, a sudden, bright smile coming second later. "Not maddening, but an opportunity. You should say something to him!"
"Eh..."
"No, no, just listen for a second!" Samantha exclaimed. "It'd be the perfect opportunity to, honestly this sounds like something that would be in a romance novel!"
"But this isn't a romance novel."
"Exactly! So, it'll be even more beautiful, when the pair of you are slow dancing... and the music and the others around you fade because all you can focus on is yourselves. And before you know it, you two will kiss."
That truly does sound picture perfect...
"Why would it be more beautiful?"
Samantha lovesick smile faded into fondness. "Because it'll be real, and I'll know that the love you feel will be real as well."
I took in a deep breath, trying not to get consumed by the possibilities Samantha planted in my head. But I simply couldn't...
"You have such a way with words." I huffed playfully. "So, I'm really going to do this? I'm... I'm going to tell him that I... love him."
Samantha nodded; her expression full of enthusiasm. "That's exactly what you're going to do! You'll arrive as friends and leave together reveling in love."
"Won't leave tonight as friends." I muttered moreso to myself to... pep myself up.
But Samantha managed to hear me. "Exactly." She spoke, her tone full of satisfaction. "Now, enough chit chat. We must get our hair done." She added, jumping up from her bed before walking over to me.
"Yes let's..."
As I gazed at myself in the mirror, and I felt the occasional tugs of my hair, my mind began to wander. And soon enough, it wandered right onto Ominis. I was sure he was being a lot more composed than me. But part of me wished that he was just as giddy as I was. Or had thought of little scenarios about how out night would go like I had.
But I seriously doubt that would be going through his mind..
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Cross, shift, pull, tie...
"Ominis?"
Cross, pull... shift, tie
"Uh, Ominis?"
Tie... tie... tie...
"Ominis! Are you trying to fix your tie or choke yourself?" My friends' words were humorous. And I could hear him try to, but fail to hold back a laugh.
"I couldn't tell you honestly." I admitted, laughing myself as I attempted to tug my fingers out of the knot, I managed to get them in.
I could hear Sebastian begin to walk over to me before I suddenly felt a slight tugging on my undone tie. "You can slick back and swirl your hair into... merlin knows how many swirls; you can somehow manage to perfectly button hundreds of those tiny damn things. But you can't fix a tie?" Sebastian muttered humorously.
I let out an exaggerated sigh before I replied. "I can't be perfect at everything can I?"
"Oh, shove off." Sebastian rebutted, breaking out into a laughter. "There, now that looks like a bowtie... you're welcome princess." He added mockingly.
I sighed, attempting to give him a glare. "Don't call me that."
Sebastian bellowed out another laugh before his footsteps began to wander in our room once again. "What would you prefer I call you?"
"Not that." I scoffed, carefully sitting back down onto my bed.
My thoughts began to push to the forefront of my mind, and it didn't take too long for it to fixate itself on her. Since she asked me, I couldn't help but spend many nights thinking about us... about her. Or how tonight would go, if by the end of the night we'd still be nothing more than friends... or something more.
Merlin did I wish we'd end up being something more. I don't know how much longer I can keep up this... facade with her.
"Ah, what's going on in that mind of yours?" Sebastian questioned but before I even attempted to respond he cut me off. "Is it her?"
"When did you get so bloody... observant?"
"I always have been, dear friend of mine. You just never bothered to notice." Sebastian boasted, I could only imagine how cocky his demeanor was as he spoke.
"My apologies, I've simply been too distracted by all the dabbling in the Dark Arts you did." I replied sarcastically.
"Hey, I stopped... eventually." Sebastian grumbled. "S-stop changing the subject... you two are way too good at it. You must've rubbed off on her."
I simply smiled at his words, soaking in the thought of her once again. The smooth sound of her voice, her raspberry iris perfume, her touch. I could drown happily in the thoughts of her, day in and day out.
I couldn't help but not to... I was hopelessly in love with her. And part of me was terrified because of it. But it was a fear I was thankful to experience in some way, and I'd experience it time and time again if it meant I could have her.
But I knew it my heart that I would never get that lucky...
"You should tell her, Ominis." Sebastian suggested, taking me out of my head once again.
I shook my head at his words, doubt began to replace the feelings of fondness I felt before. "I don't know..."
"What's there not to know? Tonight is the perfect opportunity to."
"I don't want to ruin things with her." I muttered lowly.
"Trust me, you wouldn't." Sebastian reassured me. "And, it's better to say something to her now. 'Cause it'll eat away at you mate, and you don't want that."
"How can you be so sure?" I questioned, genuinely wondering how his mind could work so optimisticly.
Sebastian let out a soft scoff, as if he was stating the obvious. "Friends don't act the way you two act with each other. And last time I checked I never saw you and Anne cuddled up on the common room couch."
"Well-"
"Or had Anne playing with your hair while you napped on her lap."
"Okay but-"
"And I know for a fact that I've never seen Anne get... viscerally envious because she heard a group of girls talking about trying to slip you a love potion."
"Okay, okay, I get your point." I managed to speak, letting out a huff. "I understand what you're saying, I do."
"Ah, finally, you admit I'm right. Your life would be so much easier if you said that more." Sebastian boasted once again. "So, you're going to tell her tonight then?"
"I am." I spoke strongly, though I couldn't help but feel that doubt that had stopped me so many times before seep through. "I can't believe I'm going to, but I am."
Sebastian sounded thrilled as he let out an elated laugh. "Finally! Seriously, watching you two pinning over each other was starting to get old."
"Sorry for the inconvenience." I apologized, rolling my eyes at Sebastian's theatrics.
"Don't beat yourself up over it." Sebastian replied nonchalantly.
"Now let's get a move on, you don't want to keep your lady waiting too long now do we?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The second I left the Samantha's dorm and made my journey back to the Slytherin common room. It was like my nerves continuously dashed away with each step I took. I felt levelheaded, as cool as one could be. It almost eerie to me, how I felt so nervous one minute but then completely calm the next.
Things just... felt right, like whatever was bound to happen tonight was simply meant to be. And I couldn't wait to spend my night with him, gently swaying as time seemingly ceased to exist.
Damn Samantha and her romance novels.
"Well, someone knows how to dress up." I turned my head, following the sound of Sebastian voice.
But any reply I attempted to come up with was lost the second I saw Ominis.
Green looks amazing on him...
"Wow," I began, sitting up from the arm of the plush couch. "You look fantastic."
Ominis was stood there, that same, at ease smile I looked forward to seeing so much greeted me tauntingly. "I'm sure you do as well." He spoke gently, my hands were then lightly gripped and placed in his hold.
My eyes mindlessly wandered down to them, and the longer my hands were place in his the more I realized how warm his felt compared to mind.
"Well, on that note, I think I'll leave you two lovebirds alone." Sebastian teased, quickly exiting the common room soon after.
The silence that came after Sebastian left was comfortable. There was no pressure or... plaguing thoughts to think of something to say. It was as if we were taking each other in, or simply just wanted a moment to ourselves.
I began to trace the faint lines I could feel on his palms before moving over to the next. Ominis's smooth laughter came soon after, making me look up to gage his reaction.
"Reading palms now, are you?"
"Mhm," I replied, smiling softly. "You want to know what I see?"
"Yes, very much so."
"Okay, I see..." I paused, tracing over a particularly deep line, one that almost felt like a scar. "That you have great hands."
I could see that he was taken aback, but not uncomfortable. A light, red flush soon bloomed on his cheeks, illuminating his blue marble eyes.
"And, that your cheeks will glow with a marvelous red tinge." I added whimsically.
"Stop it." Ominis muttered, a light laugh following his meek words.
"Fine." I relented easily, smoothly dropping his hands before hooking my arm with his. "We have a ball to get to anyway."
It didn't take too long to find our way to the great hall, that had been transformed into an icy yet stunning ballroom. The sounds of the classical were an easy guide for the pair of us.
"There seems to be a lot of people here." Ominis spoke, I could feel his arm tense under my hold.
"Seems too." I replied nonchalantly. "Doesn't surprise me too much, after all, all we've heard about these past few weeks is the ball.
"I just... don't want to bump into anyone."
I took my eyes off of the crowd and back towards him. He looked nervous, unsure of himself.
Can't have that...
"Oh, don't worry about that, you won't." I reassured him, giving his arm a light squeeze. "That's what your lovely date is here for." I added teasingly, bumping my hip against his.
Though the worry was still evident on his face, Ominis had begun to smile. Hopefully I was able to ease his nerves slightly. "You definitely are lovely."
"Hmm, so are you." I complimented, before gently guiding him through the crowded hall. "More than lovely." I grinned as I saw his cheeks flushed again.
"Darling..." Though he sentence stopped once I did, finally managing to find an open enough place to dance.
Wordlessly, I clasped his hand, Ominis seemed to catch onto what I was doing and was quick to glide his hand from my ribs to the middle of my back. My breath became caught in my throat at his touch and my posture straightened.
Don't tense, don't tense... we're just dancing.
"Is this okay?" He nearly whispered; I hadn't even noticed how close we were to each other, as we glided... cheek to cheek.
"P-perfect." The breath that was got in my throat finally escaped as I spoke. "Wouldn't want to be in this embrace with anyone else."
"I don't think you mean that." Ominis stated bashfully, delicately turning us around before we began to glide again.
"I know that I do." I answered defiantly. "I honestly couldn't imagine dancing with somebody else."
"Really?" He didn't sound completely doubtful this time around, honestly, he began to sound a bit humorous.
"Are you doubting my honesty, Ominis?" I asked, trying to match his playful tone.
"No, no... i just think you haven't... considered your options." He replied carefully, trying his best to articulate his words.
"Hmm, let's me think then... Amit? Nice, but no. Garreth? He's nice as well but not my type... and he's definitely into Natty."
"Sebastian?" Ominis chimed in, his face becoming void of much emotion.
"No, I imagine he'd step on my feet all night. That sounds less than pleasant does it not?"
"You have a fair point." Ominis agreed, before a slightly sinister grin took over. "Leander."
I grumbled at the mention of the infamous Gryffindor's name, the vibrations of Ominis's laugh could be felt soon after. "Don't make me retch."
Ominis's hand began rub circles into my back, I began to smile at the sensation, closing my eyes as he began to lull me into relaxation.
But then...
"So, why, would you choose me?" He asked, my eyes opening once again.
"Wh-why are you-"
"I just want to know." He cut me off gently. "It's been baffling to me as to why you chose to go with me."
"Because I know you-"
"You know Sebastian quite well."
"Not in the same way I do you... not in the same way that you know me too." I explained, finding it hard to believe I was starting to be so open about something I was so used to shoveling down.
But I wasn't going to stop now.
"You... you make me feel safe, and I know that I can trust you with anything I come to you with."
"I'm not always the most... understanding with some of the things you've spoken to me about." Ominis argued, as if he was trying to downplay my points.
"And I love how honest you are with me. You don't fill me with false confidence, or some... mindless delusions. You're my voice of reason, my tie to reality."
His grip began to tighten on my, and I could see his jaw begin to tense. "Reality isn't always the sweetest."
"You make it sweet."
He stopped his movements at my words, his eyes shut, and his head lowered, shaking. "Stop it." He muttered lowly.
"Why?" I spoke quietly. "Why do you want me to stop?"
"You don't mean it, you, you can't mean it."
"You know I'm no liar." I stated bluntly. "I mean every word... and I mean it when I say that I love-"
A harsh bump made the pair of us stumble, our hold finally coming apart. My words fell mindlessly, like the many specks of enchanted snow that surrounded us.
"Oh I'm sorry!" A voice spoke, clearly beggining to panic at what they had just done.
"It's fine don't-" The sound of hurried footsteps stop me once again, and I didn't need to turn around to know who they had belonged to. I didn't bother to try and finish my sentence, instead opting to hurry after Ominis before I lost him completely.
That wand really did imprint this place in his mind...
I could hardly keep up with him as he ran through the mostly desolate hall. The only people who were lingering in them were broken hearted girls, and the occasional... handsy couples.
Thankfully, before Ominis could fully disappear from my sight. I managed to see him slip outside into the courtyard. I hurried toward the large double doors, hoping I had the chance to catch him.
"Ominis wait!" I called out, my breath desperately trying to calm itself.
He was at the now frozen fountain, leaning against the stone tensely. "Why are you doing this to me?" He asked through clenched teeth.
I stepped down from the snow-covered stone steps, carefully approaching him. "Doing what?"
"Toying with me like this!" His voice was trembling, and he was clearly upset.
Was I too forward? Did he not take what I was saying seriously?
"Toying with you?" I repeated distantly. "Do you really think I could be that cruel and careless to you?"
He turned his head toward me, his eyes seemingly swimming in emotions he was struggling to contain.
"Ominis, my emotions, what I've said tonight, was never a game. It's real to me and it always has been." I admitted, feelings of vulnerability began to creep in. "I- I honestly, don't know how much blunter I need to be for you to believe me but, whatever it takes I'll do it!"
"Darling," Ominis called out fondly, he took in a deep breath before he continued. Most likely wanting to compose himself. "I'm sorry I... It's my mind toying with me, not you."
I grasped his hands, gripping them in hopes of emphasizing my point. "Well, tell your mind to stuff it." I huffed, Ominis bit his lip, holding back a bout of laughter.
I then laid my head against his chest, and I felt him rest his against mine soon after. "Friends don't act this way with one another, do they?" His voice was deep, vibrating slightly through his chest.
"No... and most don't cuddle by the fireplace or... spend all night talking, not even caring about how exhausted they felt because... they were with each other.
I felt him drop my hands from his before his arms wrapped themselves around me. "I treasured those nights, you know that?"
"Feelings mutual." I spoke against his chest, taking in a deep breath of his cologne. "And I hope they're still mutual when I tell you that I've fallen in love with you, Ominis."
My heart at that point felt like it was about to burst through my chest. But at the same time, it felt as though a weight had been lifted off of it.
I had never felt so free yet so... terrified at the same time.
One of his hands that had been embracing me began to travel up my body. Undoubtably leaving goosebumps in its wake. My jaw was then cupped, and my breath stuttering once I felt his thumb gently tugged on my lower lip. Before gently tilting my head up toward him.
"Definitely mutual." Ominis muttered, his lips tauntingly ghosting over mine. "Is this okay, love?"
We weren't leaving tonight as friends.
I closed the gap that kept our lips apart, and with that action, my breath dissipated with it. But I honestly could care less about that. Not when it was stolen away because of Ominis, not when he every touch of his lips and hands warmed nearly every inch of me.
Not when I found out that he actually loved me too.
He pulled away a bit too soon for my liking. A tremor quaked through my body. And I couldn't tell if it was cause my body was finally aware of the cold. Or if I simply missed the sensation of Ominis's touch.
Ominis attempted to warm me up, rubbing my arms as he pulled me closer to him once again. "Cold? Would you like to head back inside?"
A mindless smile curved my lips, a hazy wave of lovesickness came soon after. "No, being here is perfect... nearly perfect."
"Nearly? What can I do to make things picturesque for you?"
"Just... kiss me again, please."
MY PUNISHMENT, AN ETERNITY WITHOUT YOU--GETO. S
Tumblr media
synopsis: you were never there for suguru, and he isn't scared of saying it to you.
c.w: gn! reader, angst, hurt/no comfort, reader is a terrible friend, insinuations on suguru and reader possibly liking each other, suguru feels terribly left out, confronation, there is a dialogue here from an old movie so that's where the inspiration came from!
word count: 1,1k
note: very quick drabble before I head to bed. sorry for choosing violence so late at night.
Tumblr media
Everything happens for a reason. What a lame way to comfort yourself through the horrifying realization that you’ve been betrayed by one of the closest people to your heart. You stand in front of Yaga and Satoru with a broken heart and a body that is so cold you could be mistaken for a corpse and you breathe in—you try to inhale through what you’ve been told.
“Suguru killed those people, he also killed his parents and—“
Enough. You’ve heard more than enough for today. You squeeze your eyes shut and your hands find your face, covering it whole. You’re not sure what the gesture is supposed to do, you believe that you simply did not want to see the people that have delivered those news for you and it’s a little unfair to them. But then again, if they hadn’t known how poorly you’d handle it, why’d they look so apologetic when they asked you to wait for them outside of the classroom? They knew how you’d feel and they still went through with it.
You don’t realize that a week had passed since the incident with Suguru until you’re receiving a text Shoko and Satoru telling you about his whereabouts, and you don’t think you’ve ever ran so fast in your life just to see a person—to see him, for what felt like it was going to be the last time in a while.
Suguru stands in front of a flower shop owned by an elderly couple and his face seems to be empty of any emotion as he stares at the many flowers displayed by the old woman tending to her plants. Yet his eyes seem to be fixated on a specific flower—a bouquet of pink Cyclamens that looked as though it was freshly picked and put together, placed neatly on the tiny green table outside of the shop. His hand reaches down towards it and traces the pink wrapping paper with the same fingers that once held your chin as he tended to your wounds after missions.
“Suguru,” you sound out of breath, your hands are trembling and you feel as though you’re about to faint very soon. “What are you doing?” A part of you hopes that Suguru comes up with a good answer, something that justifies what he’s done, what he is about to do now that he has the entire Jujutsu society turning against him. You want answers, you want to be comforted by this abrupt and sudden decision of his. But when he stands there silently, doesn’t even bother to look up from the bouquet he seemingly bought prior to your arrival, your heart sinks. So, you ask again.
“Sugu-“ your throat closes up and you can’t muster up the courage to pronounce his name properly. “Answer me.”
“What do you think I’m doing, hm?” the nonchalance in his voice feels like a dozen of needles poking through your skin, each one injecting you with a different poison and only Suguru’s warmth can heal you.
“You lied to me, you deceived me.” You say quietly and when you hear his chuckle—the first sign of emotion in very long, your heart sinks to your stomach. Why does he find this amusing? It shouldn’t be funny, you were seriously suffering and he was being so… different.
“I’ve deceived you?” he finally looks up and it’s so difficult not to run away and hide when he was eyeing you so dangerously, daring you to repeat what you have just said.
“You’ve deceived me,” he continues and approaches you with the bouquet in hand.
“I am tired of trying to listen to you—“
“You have never listened, you never tried to listen,” he presses on every word and his looming figure towers over you with so much ease. You cower under his gaze, try to stutter a few words out and the confusion evident on your face irks Suguru even more.
“I did try to listen! What are you-“
“Then where were you when I needed you?” he tilts his head to the side, and the action is mocking as he lets out a pensive hum. “On missions… with Satoru… out with Shoko smoking—that’s right, I stopped being fun to hang out with, didn’t I?”
“You stopped needing me because I stopped being useful.” He spits it out like venom and your blood runs cold. You try to blink the tears coating your lashes and back away from him.
“That is not true,” the whimper that escapes your lips is pathetic, but it does nothing to the tall man standing in front of you.
“Then where were you when I needed you?” he asks again, and he knows that you don’t have an answer—or it was simply clear that Suguru wasn’t worth the additional baggage on your shoulders. You never wanted to be there for him as simple as that. Your friendship with him was only fun when he was the sweet, soft and flirty Suguru. Hanging out with him was only fun because he paid for the food and pushed you on the swing, it stopped being fun when his thoughts got darker and it was harder for him to smile when you apologized for the umpteenth time because you forgot to check on him.
Suguru simply had enough.
“You gave me your heart, you know?” The taller male suddenly speaks up after a minute of awkward and painful silence and your head shoots up. “You’d like me to hand it back whole, but I won’t.” He takes a step closer and strangely, you don’t flinch nor move away.
“You live a long life, an eternity without me. You will look at the faces of passersby hoping for something that will bring me back to you, you will find stargazing on the rooftop and summer nights strangely empty—your heart will long for something, anything that would make calling out for my name worth it and would somehow bring me back.” Suguru is seemingly calm through it all, like the sight of the fat tears cascading your cheeks doesn’t move him and for the first time ever—it truly doesn’t reach his heart, and doesn’t try to pull at its strings.
“Your heart will always ache for me, and your mind will give you the doubtful consolation that this—“ he points at the both of you, referring to you confronting him. “Was the brave thing to do.”
And through gritted teeth, you manage to find your voice again.
“You dare talk about bravery?”
hello! sorry to bother you but i am currently working on character designs for my next d&d campaign. i am creating a winged elf inspired by avariels, and he will have some form of physical disability which causes them to be unable to fly. however, i am not very educated about physical disabilities, so do you know any which might affect limbs such as wings and any ways i could portray life with them and accommodations for them in a respectful way? any tips are appreciated. thank you :)))
Wing disabilities are a bit harder to research than regular human limb disabilities, but you might be amused to learn that the very first thing i found upon a quick search for bird wing deformities was something called "angel wing", found in many different bird species. I've linked the article I found. It develops over time and can be corrected, but obviously when it happens in wild birds they have no means to fix it on their own and it becomes permanent.
Angel wing is a deformation of the wrist area, making it droop and then turn outwards. Once it's permanent, the crooked shape of the wing makes flight impossible. If a winged humanoid had this problem, they would need to worry about things like how far the crooked wing sticks out, maybe bracing it to alleviate chronic pain. I'm sure something like that would cause pain, even if it wasn't mentioned in the article. It may be helpful to clip the feathers on that part of the wing, so they're not in the way. Finding a comfortable sleep position may also be a bit tricky.
Other possible wing disabilities which I have not researched at all but sound like plausible congenital issues for people with wings:
- underdeveloped wings. They never get big enough for flight, maybe the feathers never grow in properly, possibly they're also shaped wrong for flight. Could come with chronic pain, weak muscles/atrophy, etc.
- missing wing. Somehow just didn't develop a wing, or developed a nub where the wing should be. Could also be missing just the "hand" part of the wing.
- general feather growth problems. Weak feathers, feathers that come in short, chronic molting that causes a lot of unhelpful bald patches, etc.
- chronic joint pain. Wings appear to be normal, but the joints hurt a lot and movement is difficult.
You can also go the route of disability by injury, having a wing broken or amputated or otherwise harmed in a way that is difficult or impossible to recover from.
Overall, the accommodations needed could include pain relief, a brace to keep the wing in a comfortable folded position, feather clipping, massages, etc. Mobitiy aids to let this character fly without the use of their wings is easy to handle in fantasy because you could give him an enchanted flying device of some sort. Magical prosthetic wing might work, but that depends on the disability you're working with and also wing prosthetics are pretty tricky. It would not be as functional as a real wing. If the wings are fully grown and intact, but the problem is something like joint pain, then a flight brace to steady the wings could be useful. They'd only be able to fly for short bursts though, probably. But it would be akin to giving someone leg braces so they can walk, while also having access to crutches or a wheelchair. You can work with your dm on figuring out what's allowed in the campaign setting.
As for being respectful in how you portray the character, I think the most important thing is to let them be a full person. The disability is obviously a major part of their life, but they ought to have more personality than that. Hobbies, interests, attitude.
They're also allowed to be sad about the disability, but this should not be their main defining trait. I think it is pretty normal to be sad that you have a physical difference preventing you from doing something other people can easily do. The problem in fictional characters who are sad about their disabilities is that it often becomes Their Entire Thing and then the character arc is either "so I became evil about it" or "and then they died" or "but there was a magical perfect fix!" all of which obviously don't respect the reality of being disabled. But making them totally happy go lucky about it also doesn't work. So you just need the middle area there, as that's the most realistic one. How does it feel to have a permanent disability? Well, it ends up feeling pretty normal when you're used to it. Sometimes it sucks a lot. Sometimes you hardly pay attention to it. Focus on making your character emotionally varied and give them an interesting personality that makes their interactions with other characters more fun.
Roleplay games are great for that, because you'll have to mesh with the group and really flesh out your character relationships as you go.
Anyway I hope that was all helpful! No illustrations to show, because I'm sleepy today. But good luck with your character! And maybe go check out @cripplecharacters for extra advice on generalized disability rep if you haven't already!
A/n: took me a little while to finish, I hope you enjoy<3 happy New Year’s Eve everyone🎉
Warnings: none
_______________________________
It wasn’t every day that a child would be seen wandering the dark paths of hell all alone, or at all. It was too dangerous for that, the demons often get bored or blood thirsty.
“And what might you be doing wandering these parts, little one?” A smooth, almost sweet voice calmed every part of you. Your heart seemed to suddenly and finally settle. And you couldn’t understand why.
You heard them practically comand away every being around you. You hadn’t even noticed the amount of them near you. It was scary how they could lurk in the shadows and go unnoticed.
You turned to see a tall figure looming over your stature. They looked intimidating but had a soft, welcoming smile on their lips.
“I.. I’m-“
“Were these demons pestering you? I apologize for them, sweet. They don’t know how to treat guests properly. Not to worry, they won’t bother you again.”
Not knowing quite how to respond to their light scolding, you shyly looked down, to your hands, fidgeting anxiously.
“Oh it’s alright, small one.. I’m Lucifer.” They introduced themselves with a charming tone and held a hand out for you. “Perhaps I could accompany you to a much safer place?”
Lucifer lowered to your level, making them look a little less intimidating. “You are far too little to be out here all alone, sweet angel.”
They smiled brightly as you reached for their hand, but instead of holding your own they picked you up into their arms, making you gasp in surprise. They chuckled.
“Indeed a very small one.. I wonder what brings you here.” They spoke to themselves more than you once they noticed they weren’t getting much information from you.
You laid your head on their shoulder as they walked. It was odd, you felt like you could trust them blindly, yet it didn’t feel all that blind. This wasn’t a random mysterious being, to you, at least.
You couldn’t even feel the steps they took, as if the ground beneath them was much softer than you remember. Or as if they were weightless against it.
“Well, little one… it seems you’re keeping me company for the time being, until we find out where you came from, hm? Don’t worry. We’ll keep you safe.”
“..we?” you spoke so quietly Lucifer almost missed it.
“You can speak!” A smile was clear in their voice. “Are you shy?..” you nodded.
“That's okay, there’s nothing wrong with being a little shy. However, a little inside as to where you’re from would be helpful.” They stated, sounding more like a question.
You shook your head, giggling as you laid your head on their shoulder again. Lucifer sighed.
“I can’t help but feel as if this is intentional. Am I perhaps welcoming a trap disguised by a child into my home?” Again, you shook your head.
“You wouldn’t tell me if I was anyways.” They said, amused.
It’s not much of a concern for Lucifer. There are very few who would dare try to mess with them in any sort of way, and even fewer that pose any sort of danger to them.
“You asked who’s ‘we’… I have a very close friend, who often helps me with all types of tasks. See I’m good at many things, but I don’t think I’d be very good at taking care of a little one such as yourself.”
“is okay..” you mumbled, and Lucifer chuckled at that. It sounded like you were trying to reassure or even comfort them over it. But wasn’t it their job to take care of you?
“I know you won’t be any trouble.” They hoped, really.
“no no trouble!” Your said in more of a cheery voice, and Lucifer nodded along.
“You know.. you’re good company, little one.”
The world around them seemed to have light up. The shadows that seemed to lurk and follow you disappeared. The heavy fog that made your bones chill with a fear of the unknown. It all faded away as the kind Devil welcomed you into their home, as if you were one of their own.
