Don Son is a lovely, fresh, blooming jasmine. It has a petal-cool, slightly milky scent; the stylised, highly elegant impression of crushing a petal between two fingertips, of maybe collecting fragrant dew drops from the blossom. Very blooming, a little green. It’s lovely, but I could imagine it being a little too mature and strict on me.

Also, as a jasmine lover, I do already have Terracotta to keep me sated in summer, with its delicious, lush, solar-luxurious sugared jasmine.

Fleur de Peau is a creamy, sweet, luxurious. There’s a vintage glamour to it, but not the sequins and feathers sort — more the night creams and leather travel gloves, cigarette cases and well-tailored jackets sort. It could also go in that messy hair and cotton nightgown in a metal framed bed sort of glamour, too, however. In either case — It’s as necessary as well-applied lipstick. The finishing touch, the secret that you’re not supposed to guess on first glance.

As of yet, I’m torn about Don Son, but Fleur de Peu is as gorgeous as people say.
