Thinking about "You know what? Fuck you. *un-ennobles your family background*" AUs, due to the "Naruto" I've been reading and "Bleach" I've been watching. Like, taking the main character of any given story and removing their secret and powerful family backgrounds.
I like Minato and Kushina fine as characters, but I also think "Naruto" could have been just as if not more interesting if Naruto had just been some nobody kid, as the story initially presents Naruto to be. What if the Fourth Hokage had sealed the Kyuubi into some random orphan? Honestly, I think Naruto's shitty upbringing makes way less sense if he's the previous Hokage's kid, because Minato and Kushina both have all of these personal connections who really should have done something more and I've never been fully persuaded by the excuses the story gives for why not.
Naruto meeting an undead Minato can still be compelling if they're not related! Naruto could have grown up directly idealizing Minato as his hero only to find out that the Fourth Hokage kind of ruined his life. Kakashi and Naruto can still have an interesting personal connection by Naruto being the random orphan that Kakashi's beloved "nice" sensei fucked over to save the village.
And Naruto being some nobody kid would work really well contrasted against Sasuke's fancy Uchiha pedigree trying to choke the life out of Sasuke at every turn. Itachi and Obito both got fucked over by being Uchiha. Their ancestor Madara is straight-up the one ruining lives and trying to destroy the village. Naruto and Sasuke could be a great example of how the shinobi system screws over both orphan nobodies and the shinobi equivalent of nobility.
Now, there's a lot of directions that you could go in with an AU like this, because honestly, it could barely change the story at all. You only need a few tweaks here and there to make Naruto some orphan nobody again as he seemed to be at the start of the story. But you could also pull a wild Canon Divergence to really delve into the themes and plot threads of being demonized and discarded that the main story kind of dropped in favor of making Naruto the son of the Fourth Hokage and also the last son of the super special Uzumaki Clan.
(You can also make really interesting plots by properly delving into Naruto being the son of the Fourth Hokage and destroyed Uzumaki Clan, yet being demonized and nearly discarded as a child by the Leaf Village anyway, of course, because I don't know if I'd say the story fully delivered on the potential of those canon backstories either. But I personally think it's more fun to delve into Naruto potentially having no fancy pedigree whatsoever.)

An Uchiha warrior with a fatal wound should give his life in a suicide attack, but not Izuna. No, the brother of Madara would not die a warrior’s death on the battlefield. Instead, the Uchiha retreated from their path to the northern shoulder, surrendering the territory to the Senju in a victory their rivals would call “The Conquering of King’s Neck.”
The Uchiha returned suddenly, earlier than they should have, and having lost great numbers. Madara did not use the village gates but shot right over the sharpened walls like a deranged comet falling from the sky. He carried Izuna’s body in his arms, holding his brother close to his chest. Both were covered in blood and heavy wounds. They had been the first to arrive, heralding in the news of their defeat without a single word of it uttered.
Madara shouted for medical assistance loud enough to startle the entire settlement, and in a blur of confusion, agony, and chaos, Izuna was brought to a doctor, and the two brothers were sealed inside a private room as quickly as the commotion had started.
The entire village stirred to life with urgency. People emerged from their cottages and herded their children out of the street as the rest of the battalion emerged from the forest and trudged toward the front gates.
The men who had stayed behind rushed the injured to the hospital and hurried around the newly returned soldiers to assist in treating their wounds. Women gathered water from the well, ready to help receive the weary soldiers.
Most injured warriors were gathered in one large room and treated on cots side by side, but not Izuna. Even in the sunlight, gathered citizens could see Madara’s hulking form pace back and forth from inside their private room.
No one else was allowed in except for the best physician in the village, who was currently facing the brunt of Madara’s furious rage. You could hear the clattering of furniture and thrown items hitting the mat floor from down the road.
You clutched your medicine pack, shouting and shoving through the crowd as you approached the triage.
“Make way for the apothecary!”
You came running as soon as you received word. The medics who went to the scene before you had their own medical packs with prepared remedies within them, but if the medics were to perform treatments on such a large group of men, they would need all the medicines they could get.
Madara had, after all, forbidden you from creating more heavy-duty remedies in anticipation of a victory for the Uchiha. He told you that fast-acting cures would be all that would be needed and did not discriminate when it came to potency. The high ground belonged to the Uchiha, and Madara himself formulated their strategy for the ambush. But Madara was left with little more than the taste of defeat and bloodied hands after the battle.
You hurried across the dirt path, the dry pebbles and earth making hurried scratching noises below the soles of your sandals. You clutched your oversized medicinal bag. The material wasn’t strong enough to carry the number of remedies you had shoved haphazardly inside. Your eyes were set on the treatment center where the soldiers were being taken. The little time you had was crucial for saving as many lives as you could.
Time seemed to slow as you ran past the paper door leading to Izuna’s private room, and you failed to notice the large hand that shot out from inside until it had grasped the back of your robes and pulled you in.
You were thrown onto the woven matt floor with barely enough time to break your fall, let alone catch your compilation of medicines. You skidded against the hard surface, ripping the cloth on your shoulder as the fabric folded under you with the motion. Your arms wrapped against your oversized pack, and the glass bottles rattled against one another as you held them close to your chest.
Madara stood over you: hulking, broad, impeding, and crazed, but still as he slowly slid the paper door shut. His palm splayed out in the middle of the door, leaving a streak of crimson across the delicate white material. The air dried the red color into a muddy rust.
An unmoving, pale hand appeared in your peripheral. You scrambled to your knees, grip still clutching your medicinal bag. You hardly recognized Izuna as he lay in front of you.
All color had drained from his cheeks, but you could hardly pay attention to the grayness of his skin in the face of the massive open wound across his stomach. Izuna bled all colors of red, his gash like a gruesome flower clawing out of his torso and streaking across the room. His chest heaved up and down at an inhumanly slow pace, pumping a wheezing sound out of his throat with every strangled breath. Everything smelled of blood, and what used to be an entirely white room was marred with ghastly streaks of gore.
The doctor worked frantically over him, but even looking at Izuna for a second told you all that you needed to know. His wound was already decorated with herbal remedies, the leaves and ground flower buds a stark, soft contrast to the wet, oozing gash that churned just below. The colors illuminated with an effervescent glow under the light of the doctor’s healing jutsu.
Izuna’s head fell to the side toward you, your name dripping from his lips in a voice hardly above a whisper. You scrambled to his side, shedding your bag, and scooping his hand up in yours without a thought.
“Izuna—!”
Your heart sank into the pits of your stomach, and your face felt numb. Tears flooded your waterline as your pulse started to drum in your ears. One of your hands, now sporting a few streaks of blood that you didn’t notice, came over your mouth in mortified shock.
But even so, Izuna gazed at you fondly. His eyes were lidded, pain written across his face, but he did his best to grasp onto you weakly. You stared widely down at his giant wound, almost hypnotized by the terrible sight of it, before returning to Izuna’s face. Your hand dropped back down to your lap and joined the other in morphing over his palm.
Your lips parted, but no sound left them. They wavered in the bitter-smelling air as an ugly sound stalled in your throat. You didn’t have it in you to tell him that it all would be okay. He wouldn’t have believed you anyway.
“I do not know what to say…” Your voice came out in a breathless hiss, your lips crinkling upwards as your brows creased together into two wavy lines.
“I apologize…” Izuna was barely audible, and his words held an incoherent rasp. “The words I spoke to you last were most regretful… and most dishonorable…”
“Izuna, do not speak like this!” Your scolding was less than a whisper.
You looked at the doctor, whose eyes were already on you. Wordlessly, he confirmed your fearful thoughts.
Izuna wasn’t going to—
“How does he appear?” Madara implored. “I demand you tell me. Tell me that you deem him treatable with your remedies!”
Izuna gave your hand a light squeeze. When you looked down at him, two tears fell right onto his blood-stained clothing.
His other hand slowly rose, shaking as he brought it to his face. It stopped, trembling over his neck as Izuna raised his pointer finger. He brought it over his lips.
The sound of your name boomed across the paper room.
“Why do you fall silent? You are able to revive him, are you not?” Madara thundered frantically. “You told me! You told me of your chakra remedies!” Madara’s hand shot out from behind you but missed your shoulder as his fingers grasped about wildly. You could feel the force of his motion in the air as the slight breeze of his movement rattled the hair behind your ear.
He made another grab for you, and you turned to grasp him by the shoulders as if you were taking a bull by its horns, dropping Izuna’s hand in the process. The metal of Madara’s armor was dirty and solid, pinching your fingers as you tried to keep him at bay as he lunged. He ranted something incoherent, nearly knocking you back into Izuna. Your core tensed, trying to keep yourself from falling back onto Izuna’s open torso as you tried to fight Madara away.
“Madara, this is madness!” you shouted directly into his face. Your arms were beginning to shake under the weight of him, the locking of your joints being the only thing keeping Madara from pinning you down in his deranged rampage. But the fear and confusion in your gaze immediately widened as you met his gray irises. “Madara! Your eyes!”
“Clan Head, that is enough!” The doctor had since stood, stepping over Izuna’s body to ram into Madara with his shoulder. Your limbs were granted relief as the two of them stumbled back, nearly punching a hole in the paper wall.
The doctor was not as large of a man as Madara, but he held his own against Madara’s unrestrained rage. His shoulder dug into the right side of Madara’s chest, and the doctor used all his weight to keep him from charging. But he was ultimately not enough to keep Madara restrained.
Madara shoved him back with a violent push to the doctor’s chest.
“Who are you to cease treatment on my brother?! Who are you to attack your Clan Head— I’ll have you banished for your indiscretion—!”
“Madara, that is enough!” You shot to your feet, placing yourself between the two men. One of your palms splayed across Madara’s chest plate. He continued to scream over your head, gesturing pointedly somewhere behind you. Tears streamed down his face as his skin scrunched up in rage. — “Madara!”
— “You dare to impede me? My younger brother lies dying before my very eyes, and I cannot even see his face! And you dare stand against me when Izuna’s chakra weakens! You are traitors! You are traitors to the Uchiha; I will have you banished and then hunt you down myself— why do you refuse to help my brother? —”
— “Madara, please, I implore you to listen—”
Madara’s hand whipped across your face with enough force to make your ears ring. You fell to the ground with a heavy thud, the power of Madara’s strike making you almost spin as you went down. Your hand shot to your nose, which had begun to bleed. Your blood mixed with Izuna’s.
“Madara, that is enough…” Izuna began to sit up somewhere behind you. He groaned in pain, almost collapsing as he propped himself on one elbow. The doctor was already beside him, urging him to lie back down. But the sound of Izuna’s voice appeared to be enough to sate Madara’s mounting rage. He visibly melted, perking up as he tried to pinpoint where Izuna’s voice came from with a rapid gesture of his head.
You were lost, hypnotized by the red that dripped from your nose and onto your hand. The droplets were thick and hot, only diluted by the tears of disbelief that seemed to fall in sheets from your eyes. You struggled to gather yourself as Madara knelt by Izuna’s side.
“We will find a way,” Madara insisted with certainty. He nodded several times, taking up the straps of your medicine pack in his hand. He rooted around in it, searching for powder. “There is an ointment crafted for deep wounds—!”
“It is too late, Madara.” Izuna collapsed back onto his cot. A sharp hiss of pain tore from his throat. Izuna grabbed at his brother’s sleeve, willing him to come closer with his little remaining strength. The hold he had on Madara’s clothes was a death grip. “You must listen to me.”
Madara bowed like a child in prayer, lending his ear to Izuna’s lips. He crouched on his knees, hair cascading over his brother’s pale face as he blindly clung onto any part of Izuna he could reach. Izuna’s voice, perhaps meant only for Madara, faded in and out.
“For the good and future of the clan, you must not fall victim to Hashirama Senju’s trickery… promise me, I…” You could barely hear him. You hovered just behind Madara, sitting with your knees tucked under you and the fabric that made up the skirt of your robes balled in your fists. You tucked your chin to your chest. Hot tears continued to dribble down your face.
Your head spun, unable to listen to Izuna’s words even if you tried. You became lost in yourself, only resurfacing to reality when the sound of your name rang across the room. It was the doctor.
One moment, Izuna was speaking to Madara, and then the next—
“We will be performing an ocular transplant,” the doctor said. “Are you able to assist?” His grave gaze bore into you.
Your mouth gaped. You shook your head in disbelief. You turned toward Madara, who couldn't see you.
“You are taking his eyes?” you asked accusingly. Your tone held a harsh snap. “Are you so obsessed with battle that you dare take the sharingan of your own brother—?”
“Enough.” Izuna’s voice somehow found its way out of his throat. Just barely. His tired eyes met yours. “I forfeit them willingly… for the sake of the clan.” Izuna’s lids fluttered closed, even as you continued to stare. A new wave of tears welled in your vision. You were growing sick of weeping.
“For the sake of the clan…” you repeated, a part of you hoping that if you spoke the words, they would make better sense to you. You didn’t have to yield advanced jutsu to understand the implications of Madara obtaining Izuna’s eyes. With the Senju closing in, you knew there were few other choices.
Madara, the leader of the Uchiha, had exhausted his mangekyo sharingan. Izuna, the second strongest fighter in the clan, was fading quickly as he lay before you. And while the Uchiha had more than formidable soldiers, too many had been defeated in the ambush, and the rest had been injured during their retreat. It was truly up to Madara to protect you now.
Izuna spoke your name again. It would be the final time he would do so.
“I implore you… please, do not deprive me of my final wish,” he said weakly, the frailty of his words a stark contrast to the unfair burden he bestowed upon you. You glanced back toward the doctor. “I need you by my side.”
“I— I just make the medicine, although I— I…” You closed your eyes to shed more tears, but none fell. You tried to blink again, only to find your waterline dry. “I can administer some remedies.”
“The extra set of hands is more than plenty,” the doctor affirmed. “But we must make haste.”
Izuna’s hand found yours. His touch was cold. He gave your hand a weak squeeze.
***
It wasn’t enough to hang onto every moment you could. You tried to take him in during every second of the procedure, focusing so hard on being with Izuna for the dwindling amount of time you had left. You could feel the minutes slipping through your fingers. Your eyes searched every inch of him, trying to hang onto the patches of snowy white skin between the dirt and red stains. Izuna was here now, and you pulled a single moment into a thousand.
And when it was done, and Izuna was dead, you sat back on your calves. Madara lay to your left, his face bandaged with wrappings adorned with healing herbs. And Izuna rested to your right.
He had passed just moments before, long before the doctor had left the room. A thin sheet rested over his head, extending down to his blood-stained boots. But even as he lay such a short distance away, all presence of him had been vanquished from the room. The form under the cloth was an object, a thing taking a shape that certainly wasn’t Izuna.
Your skin was taut from all your weeping. The tears still came in bursts, but the muscles in your face felt fatigued by it all. Any noise from the outside sounded muffled. Even Madara’s heavy breathing didn’t make it to your ears.
You could see the light from the sun behind the paper walls. You stared blankly at the random swipes and spatters of red that dotted the room, staining the light eggshell color of all the fixtures.
You lay down between them, letting your body go limp for the first time that morning. Some medics had since taken your bag of extra medication to use outside. The commotion in the village seemed to have dwindled some. You let your eyes fall closed. Exhaustion had grown so great in your head that your lack of energy made you wired. Your thoughts ran across your brain on their own, and you could do little to stop them.
You could sense that Madara was about to speak even before he parted his lips. He breathed in, taking a familiar pause before his voice dared to break through the silence in the room.
“Your resentment radiates off of you like fire.”
In one of his final acts of life, Izuna had sated Madara’s rage, leaving his brother in this world quiet and pensive. Madara had been eerily silent.
You let your eyes open lazily. They traced the outline of Izuna’s face beneath the cotton sheet.
“Now is hardly the time, Madara,” you muttered.
“But it is true.”
You didn’t answer. You shepherded the silence back into the air, hoping that your ignorance of him would be enough. You couldn’t handle his talk in the face of your bubbling and agitated emotions.
“It is true—"
“Silence, Madara,” you snapped, your words lashing across the silent atmosphere you tried to curate. You held your arms close to your chest, nuzzling your cheek into the side of one of your hands. You curled farther in on yourself, only isolating Madara more. “Izuna just...”
“He is passed,” Madara rumbled solemnly with all the clarity of the world. You cast your gaze to the light just outside the paper doors. It looked warm. “And you believe it should have been me in his place.”
“I said no such thing.” Your face was tired and puffy.
“You would be right.”
“Cease with your grandstanding—” You sat up, propping yourself on your palm as you faced Izuna’s body. You could barely keep yourself from collapsing from the mental exhaustion alone. — “It is inappropriate at a time like this.” You could feel the sting of tears shocking the nerves behind your nose, yet your eyes remained dry. “Why must you make these things so difficult?”
“I am making the death of my own brother difficult?” He sat up somewhere behind you.
“Do not twist my words. Timing has never been your strong suit, Madara.” You also rose to sit up straight, now sitting cross-legged near Izuna’s knees.
“You believe that I am not in grief?” He held a thundering bite to his words, although even the slightest increase in volume sounded like a storm within the context of the hauntingly quiet room. “Do you believe that I do not feel deep despair over one who I have loved so dearly?”
“You were not the only one who cherished Izuna!” You snapped around, knees hitting the opposite side of the mat floor. “Of all the times where you must be a fool, Madara! Why must it be now? Why must it have been this past visit to my apothecary? Why must it have been on the battlefield where you could have saved him a hundred times over, and yet you condemn yourself to play the fool!”
You weren’t used to seeing Madara’s face bandaged. He looked like a ghost, sitting upright where he was with his legs outstretched before him. Even blinded, you could almost feel his gaze boring into yours.
When he spoke, his voice was low.
“I am well aware,” he growled, trailing a tense silence in his wake. Madara sat up farther, and it wasn’t until the faint shadow of his large form eclipsed half of your face that you realized how quickly he bridged the gap between the two of you. “I am not blind enough to reflect on my hubris, nor am I blind enough to recognize my own twisted nature in my jealousy.”
You found yourself once again face to face with bandaged eyes, hypnotized by the infinity of cloth strips layered over each other. You took in every fold, watching where blood slowly seeped through the fibers. And perhaps if it had been a more tender moment and if you had loved Madara more, you might have tenderly taken hold of his jaw. But instead, you sat, slowly sobering up to the reality of what just occurred a few moments prior as your face was contorted by a demon of despair.
Your resolve imploded.
“A mere reflection is hardly recompense,” you hissed, your voice coming out as barely a whisper. “How must it feel to have sacrificed your only living blood and continue to prove yourself so fruitless in your rivalry with Hashirama Senju? You have no excuse for your arrogance!” You steadily grew in volume, suddenly finding yourself standing. “So lost in your fruitless rivalry with him, you have indeed been left blind, with your flesh newly broken and easily swayed heart—no, you do not view clearly enough the hubris in your ways! You are a soft man, Madara!”
The tears came back all at once. You shed them like a waterfall as the wind caught in your throat. You gasped for air, hiccupping and choking all at once as the words tumbled from your lips.
“Izuna—" You could hardly get his name out between gasps. “He—! Izuna, he thought—!”
And perhaps if Madara had loved you more, he would have done something other than take the brunt of your broken rambling in silence. To him, that was gesture enough. To you, it was an indulgence in self-pity.
He let you leave, and no one stopped to question you as you quickly pushed through the crowd of people back to the apothecary. Although things seemed to have settled compared to the roaring chaos that captivated the late morning, people still milled around, collecting food and fluttering around the loved ones who were fortunate enough to make it home.
You needed more time to analyze things. You honed in on the apothecary doors, barreling through them without regard for the medics coming in and out.
You said little aside from your curt and adamant wish not to be disturbed before retreating into your loft at the far end of the apothecary. You curled in on yourself for what would feel like days, wrapping your cotton sheets around you as you buried yourself further from the world.
The tears seemed to flow without you completely now, soaking the fabric of your pillow to create a wet circle just below your ear. Your thoughts ran on without you, and your heart ached from what felt like a hole sliced clean through it. The grief rested over you like a blanket, coating you from head to foot in numbing density. You would stay like that for what felt like days, unaware of what was happening outside.
And the world would turn upside down, disrupting the mundanity you were trying so desperately to cultivate.
When you weren’t lying in bed, you spent your hours lazily picking at things in your garden. In the rare moments of mustered energy, you would bathe and tend to your hair— more out of a necessity for maintenance than anything else.
You didn’t even know that Madara had left until he returned. And when he returned to the village, he did not seek you out. Instead, a member of Madara’s council visited you at the apothecary.
A young man with a severe face around Izuna’s age, he stood with his back erect on the porch behind the apothecary. You sat in your herb garden, absentmindedly fiddling with a particularly large flower blossom as a small collection of random herbs sat in a basket at your hip. He had called out to you in that militant voice that soldiers tended to use. You had hummed in response.
“There is a truce,” he said. “The Uchiha and the Senju have agreed to unite.”
***
There were so many questions that the village hall overflowed with people. Members of the Uchiha even stood outside, hoping to catch an explanation.
Madara and what was left of his council sat before the crowd, still adorned in their light wrappings from the Conquering of King’s Neck and the second face-off Madara had apparently had with Hashirama Senju. The room chirped, filling with murmurs and speculation. But when Madara began to speak, all fell silent.
“The time has come…”
You watched from just barely inside one of the wide doorframes. Madara stared straight ahead, his voice confident, stern, and sure.
He held himself like a clan head.
“The time has come for wartime to end,” he announced, surveying the gathered crowd. “It is time to put a stop to a violence started long ago, one that has forced our children to pay the price for a conflict started by the fathers of our father’s fathers. For I challenge you to find me a soul in this room that has not been exhausted from war and the act of burial.”
The room remained eerily quiet. You stood on your toes, trying to catch a better view over a man’s shoulder.
“Let me do away with your primary concern; The Uchiha stand on the same ground as the Senju, as equals, and in collaboration with one another. Our combined power has the potential to create a village where all people shall live without fear of violence, and small hands may never know the handle of a kunai nor the weight of the metal. This is a thing that Hashirama and I agree upon, and as the leader of the Senju clan, he has agreed to honor our terms.”
The room erupted in a low clamor, everyone wanting nothing more than for Madara’s words to be true. They held their questions high, finally breaking their collective silence at the mere mention of Hashirama Senju.
The sound of his name struck your heart no differently, and before you could even think, you were a distance away from the meeting hall. Your spot by the door had filled in swiftly. You had one place to retreat, one sanctuary, and you hid yourself in the loft.
***
“I need you by my side.”
You thought it was cruel for Madara to use Izuna’s last words in such a way, but you doubted that Madara even remembered his brother’s last words to you.
The meeting had adjourned late into the night. The people had many questions, at least, that’s what Madara would tell you later. You hadn’t needed him to tell you to believe it.
It startled you when lantern light from the street flooded through the open door of the apothecary. You sat up in your bed, already halfway between wakefulness and mental exhaustion that kept you from falling into a meaningful slumber. Madara always swung the door open wider than he needed, and aside from that, you could place his hulking form anywhere.
He waited wordlessly as you descended from your tower. You did so lazily.
“Are you ill?” you asked at the bottom of your set of steps that wasn’t quite a ladder or a proper set of stairs. “A physician would have an easier time tending to you than I. At the meeting, I do believe I saw—”
Madara pulled you close in an instant. Your sleep-addled mind had little time to process the action as you stumbled over your feet. Your face hit Madara’s chest. He had a strong scent to him, which, while not unpleasant, was as overpowering as the man.
A sliver of light trickled in from where the door sat ajar. It cast a faint highlight around Madara’s figure. Your tired eyes traced the shadows that the faint glow created on the fabric of his sleeve.
It felt out of place being in his arms like this. You weren’t used to him not wearing armor. You could feel it in the tension of your muscles and the awkwardness of not knowing how to touch him in return. You let him hold you, and yet, for how none of it felt right, there was an odd, fragile comfort that had never belonged to Madara before.
Madara, who imposed himself in every space he ever stood and could never be found wearing not even a piece of armor, felt soft.
“I need you by my side,” he had told you. You felt his cheek against your hair. “I need confidence that I am making the right decision.”
“Madara,” you spoke softly, pulling back to meet his gaze in the dimness. “How do you expect me to give guidance on these things? I am not—”
You stopped yourself right there, feeling foolish in less than an instant. Nothing but the chirp of insects outside disrupted the silence of the apothecary. It felt as if so much of your time with Madara was filled with silence. But Madara’s eyes held no judgment.
“Izuna watches over us from the heavens, and I have thought little more than the day he passed and the terrible way I behaved toward you,” he said with a slow nod. His voice held the rich timber that it typically had. Madara brought a hand gingerly to the side of your face. His skin was rough and scarred. He spoke lowly, surprising you with more softness. “I would feel confident with you by my side. You need not labor yourself, nor would you have to speak a word… For you just to be would be enough.”
“What do you speak of, Madara?”
Madara cast his gaze off to the side, his jaw tensing slightly.
“Perhaps Izuna would think it weak of me to bring a woman to such prestigious negotiations…” He pulled back, taking his warmth with him. Madara turned with one hand on his hip and the other clasped over his face.
“Of what do you speak?” You nearly choked on air.
— “But what if said woman was close family?
When Madara whipped back around, he did so in the middle of a thought he did not bother to share with you. You blinked a few times, letting your eyes flutter closed as you tried to gather your thoughts, and to your dismay, Madara didn’t speak a word in your silence. You stared at him for answers, prompting him to elaborate.
“Izuna should be by my side,” he finally said, perhaps a bit louder than he needed to have been. When he continued, he did so with a lowered tone. “Our parents passed when we were young. Izuna was my one and only brother, and he is now gone… And so, I implore you…”
Madara took in a sharp breath, not daring to speak the rest.
“Is that what we are now?” you asked. “You consider me family?”
A familiar silence once again took hold of the space between you.
“Is a wife not considered family?”
It was only due to a moment of shock that you let the question sit in the air.
You turned on your heel, your hands coming to your face as you shook your head with fatigue.
“Madara, must I remind you how terrible you are with time? —”
Your name shot from his lips, as did a hand to your shoulder.
— “Perhaps you should see a physician—”
“You are the closest thing I have!” Madara’s desperate cry halted all words on your tongue. He grabbed you hard enough to leave bruises, forcefully spinning you around as he moved forward, caging you against a nearby counter. His face was so close to yours, and when you looked deep into his eyes, you saw Izuna.
“You and I have known each other for as long as I can remember,” he said with faintness. “Has it not always been you and I? Have you not always thought it was destiny how we have always been brought together like this?”
You couldn’t say why tears began prickling at your eyes. It felt as if anything could make you cry nowadays. Madara brought a hand back up to your face, skimming the wetness from your cheek.
“Please—” It was the first time you heard Madara use such a word. — “I can assure you that things will improve, that I shall improve. Be with me by my side. I do not ask you to marry me tomorrow, but perhaps if you may see— perhaps you may come to see things as I see them.”
“You have always been one to set your expectations far too high.”
“Can you deny that we are as close as family? We have only each other.” Madara’s hand traveled down your arm to grasp your fingers in his. “I do not ask for your commitment. I ask only for the openness of your mind.”
Your eyes squeezed shut, and you breathed out a deep breath. Unconsciously, you leaned into him. Nothing made you feel right now.
“With your track record of anger and empty promises? What have we ever agreed upon?” Your words came out weakly as you met Madara’s gaze in the dimness again.
You wanted so desperately to stop staring into his eyes.
But… Izuna…
“You would have protested such things not too long ago. It all seems quite ridiculous, does it not?” You found yourself laughing, and Madara cracked a smile for the first time in a long while.
It was thin-lipped and, indeed, did resemble a crack. The wrinkles that ripped across his face made him look young, a lot younger than he had been looking as of late. A small chuckle shook his chest and hardly made a sound in his throat. You let out a light laugh. What you said hasn’t been funny, nor was it meant to be.
A handful of memories from when you were a teenager sat at the back of your mind, and perhaps if you tried not to think about them, they wouldn’t hold any importance.
***
That had been a foolish thought in and of itself, and in the days following, you wondered why you had let Madara persuade you. You decided that he had beaten you down with sentiment and nostalgia, knowing that considering any other reason would only disturb what little peace of mind you had.
It would have been wiser to give it all some thought. It would have been wiser to have turned Madara away in the first place rather than humoring his charged words, and yet, a part of you wanted to move forward. Even on your way to the neutral meeting ground, you wanted to be a part of the new dawn, spurred on by a nagging curiosity and a morbid sense of fate.
Foolish. Foolish, with little sense to it at all!
You caught a glimpse of white, and you purposefully averted your eyes. Madara stood next to you, sporting his best robes as members of the Senju unfurled two banners to be hung. The amount of Uchiha who came in support of the agreement surprised you. Most of your settlement gathered somewhat behind you, still unsure what to make of the crowd of unarmed Senju directly ahead.
The two groups remained segregated for the most part, standing around awkwardly even as the banners featuring the Uchiha and Senju crests were hung side by side. You glanced to your left toward Madara, feeling the stuffiness and tension yourself. But Madara remained stoic and upright, hardly regarding you even as Hashirama approached.
“Today is a day for celebration! Why must everyone be so serious?”
And from the tales you had been told of Hashirama, he had not been what you expected him to be. He instantly spotted the two of you as he emerged from the crowd. His round, kind eyes seemed to glitter, along with the perfectly white teeth he bared with his smile.
“Madara! My friend!” Hashirama, an already tall man, held his arms up. He only needed to take a few long strides before he was upon Madara, wrapping him up in a hug great enough to cause Madara to take a half step back. (You almost took a step back with him.) Just as quickly as Hashirama embraced him, he pulled back, planting his hands firmly on Madara’s shoulders. And Madara let him. “It is good to see you!”
Hashirama turned to you and positioned himself directly before you, eyes remaining as wide as his smile.
“Madara, how could you not send notice that you would be bringing a goddess to smile upon the union of our clans?” He fell quickly into a deep bow as you gaped. You instinctually turned to look at Madara, a girlish grin of your own contorting your lips. Madara rolled his eyes with a knowing sigh. Hashirama returned to his full height. “You may call me Hashirama. It is a pleasure to meet you.”
“Likewise,” you hummed, offering your name in return. “I hope you do not consider primary names informal as we have just met.”
Hashirama let out a boisterous laugh.
“Are you not all Uchiha as we are all Senju?” Hashirama chuckled, eyes drifting to the crowd of Senju for a moment before he did a double take. “Ah!” He turned back to you and Madara, gesturing to his right. “Speaking of Senju, might I present my brother, Tobirama.”
“Everything is prepared, brother, the people are waiting on you—”
Tobirama’s gaze latched onto yours like a magnet, causing him to stop short just to Hashirama’s right as his mouth snapped shut instantly. Your jaw dropped, and you quickly clasped your lip closed to not bring attention to your light gasp. You prayed that neither Hashirama nor Madara, who stood between the two of you, noticed your out-of-place surprise. Hashirama seemed to breeze past the micro-interaction entirely as he spoke your name.
“This is my brother, Tobirama. Tobirama, this is…” You didn’t take your eyes off Tobirama’s red irises for a second, lost in the pounding that threatened to burst open your chest. You couldn’t stop yourself from moving. Your foot slid back, positioning you just behind Madara’s shoulder. Your hand tightly grasped the back of his sleeve.
Your movement didn’t escape Hashirama. When you looked back at him, you found his gaze anchored directly to the grip you held on Madara’s arm. You watched as his face seemed to droop, his broad smile wavering for a moment as an expression of what you could only describe as genuine sorrow swept over Hashirama’s face. It was a contortion so sincere that you almost felt bad for how your body reacted. But Hashirama recovered quickly as he faced Madara once again with a friendly smile.
“... your wife, Madara?”
You hadn’t realized that Hashirama was still talking.
You and Madara gazed at each other simultaneously, expecting the other to answer, but instead, you found yourselves engaged in a silent, second-long debate.
“This is, uh,” Madara started, now as thrown off as you were. His forehead twitched as he glanced back toward you instinctually.
“I am an…” You made the mistake of accidentally making eye contact with Tobirama once again. He stood stoically by Hashirama’s side, quietly awaiting an answer. Your panicked gaze once again darted between Hashirama and Madara, who didn’t appear to be in a rush to come to your aid. — “advisor.” You nodded with pseudo-certainty. “I am an advisor on the Uchiha council.”
Hashirama wasn’t allowed time to comment.
“Pardon us.” Two members of the Senju tentatively approached your group. Hashirama pivoted a foot to acknowledge them.
“Yes, what is it?”
“All has been prepared for us to begin. We wait only on the two of you.”
Hashirama turned to spare a half-glance over his shoulder.
“Ah, that is what you were here to notify me of, was it not? Telling me to quit my chatter, eh, Tobirama? Why did you not speak sooner?” Hashirama laughed. “Let us make haste and not leave the people waiting longer than they have already. I am certain that everyone would rather be at the banquet than listen to my dry speech!”
With Hashirama having decided to begin, you retreated to the Uchiha side of the crowd and Tobirama to the Senju.
Thank you to all who liked, reblogged, followed, and supported. Your support means so much and is greatly appreciated.
Notes: Hahaha would you believe that I forgot that healing jutsu existed for, perhaps, this entire fic?? I certainly wrote other things with healing jutsu. Hell, I’ve written whole stories centered on it, but this?? WHOOPS.
I thought to myself that I might add another section to this chapter but I saw that 6.8k and went hahahahaha nope!
My grammar checker no longer works on the document that this was originally written on, so I took the chapter and isolated it to do edits... resulting in weird indentation issues. Ah so goes the world...

Sleeping with a Yandere
Indra Otsutsuki
Tumblr media
💜It should be known by now that Indra doesn't have any hesitation nor chill when it comes to forcing his darling into anything as long as it pleases his possessive and paranoid side. That most obviously also includes the fact that he abducts you and keeps you from that moment on by his side. You aren't allowed to stray away nor should you ever consider being stupid enough to attempt to flee. He is the ancestor of every Uchiha known today and he has set the standard by being fully committed to burn down entire villages if it means that he gets to keep you by his side forever. That being said, Indra is in need of his own private time because someone who is too clingy would get on his nerves after a while which is strange considering that he still expects you to pay only attention to him. Indra makes it perfectly clear when he wishes to be left alone for some time. Otherwise you are always kept within his vision and always have to stay in the same room as him.
💜Naturally this will also include that you have to share a futon with him. You are his lover and very soon you two will be united in a marriage. It would be unfitting in his eyes to have you sleep in a different place than he does. You don't really get much of a choice in this. As always. Now, Indra is very focused on his own training to the point where he may forget the time around him until he realises that it's already night which means that he may go to sleep quite late. Whilst he doesn't have a set time where he wants you to go to bed, the moment he lays down he expects you to join him as well. He is very silent when he sleeps but he is also very alert which means that he always awakes the moment you leave as he senses your movements even in his light sleep and he always waits for your return as if expecting you to put your next plan to escape into action. His hair is surprisingly soft and the spiky strands always tickly you when he moves his body closer to yours.
Madara Uchiha
Tumblr media
🌑Madara is not as forceful as Indra is but honestly, he doesn't need to be. He has enough confidence in his own abilities as well as his influence to calmly allow you to walk around freely as he knows that if something shouldn't work out quite as fluently as he wants it to be, he can still always resort to numerous ways to blackmail you. He likes a potential challenge though so before he uses any of the cheap cards up his sleeves, Madara goes out of his own way to court you normally at first. There is still a good portion of his possessive side visible, especially if you fancy someone else or a pathetic fool should try to get cozy with you in which case he will very quickly present to you and others why he is so feared amongst even the strongest shinobi. Otherwise Madara is almost bearable if he wouldn't be such a smug jerk at times who enjoys annoying and irritating you. If you want to force him out of his comfortable zone though by rejecting him, he'll quickly introduce you to the concept of arranged marriage.
🌑Really intimate acts are frowned upon before marriage, although Madara truly enjoys playing with fire at times. You only officially live in the same mansion as him after both of you are freshly wed and from that day on you have to share a bed with him. Let's be honest here, his hair is everywhere. His long, untamed mane of black hair is always tickling you and you always find some strands of it on your sleeping clothes but he would never cut his hair as it is his pride. He's also really set on holding you in his arms but you aren't allowed to tell anyone about how clingy he can be at times. A tight grip plus his abundance of hair can make it uncomfortably warm for you at times as he really emits some heat and it is even more annoying if you want to get away or leave the futon for a while as he doesn't allow it. At times you genuinely don't know if he's actually asleep or just pretends to lightly snore to annoy you in the middle of the night when you try to wake him up to argue with him to let you go.
Hashirama Senju
Tumblr media
🌳Hashirama isn't forceful per se but he being very pushy with his hopes and affection. Hashirama is a dreamy delusional man who spends a good portion of the day daydreaming about you whenever you aren't around him in that moment. How could he not spend every waking and even sleeping not without you filling all of his thoughts? He has so much influence and abilities and the only reason why you are partially safe is because he is for the most part a very goofy and lovely man who wants to win your love and affection. However, there is a lot of pressure from the public as well as his own clan as Hashirama is very beloved in his village. Obviously the man would never want you to suffer like this but unconsciously he is also guilt-tripping you into agreeing to a relationship with him and it is the same dilemma all over again when he asks you after only a few weeks later for your hand in marriage, too caught in his own delusions to consider that it might be too soon for you.
🌳After marriage is when both of you are officially expected to share the same home and a prospect that Hashirama is especially excited about is sharing a bed. He is very clingy around you and he is often being criticised for it from his clan as he as the head of the clan and the Hokage is expected to have a certain image. So sleeping with you is one of the few times where he is completely alone with you and can be as cuddly and affectione as he wants without being judged and he spends a good few minutes just showering you in soft kisses as soon as you lay down with him. He has always quite long hair but it isn't as unruly as Madara's hair, although it still gets everywhere. He has his arms always wrapped around you at night and he prefers falling asleep whilst facing you so that the last thing he sees at the end of the day is your face. If you consider his busy schedules, he really savours every moment every moment cuddling with you and starts pouting when you want to leave the sheets before him.
Tobirama Senju
Tumblr media
🌊If we are being objective, Tobirama is probably the strictest one from the founders. He takes everything a tad bit too serious and despite being the younger brother of Hashirama, they are quite different. Tobirama can be incredibly manipulative and threatening as the one who orchestrates your potential downfall whilst forcing you to come back crawling to him. That being said, he does opt for the normal route at first which actually includes getting to know you and wooing you. Tobirama is hardcore traditional and he values traditions and doings of his clan that have been done generations before him. You are getting trapped in an arranged engagement and an eventual marriage though if you refuse his courting as Tobirama is actively going to blackmail you in which regard he is different from his older brother as Tobirama is very lucid of his own feelings. As much as he hates Madara, both have little to no shame in using everyting within their power to claim you if you shouldn't choose them freely.
🌊Yet he is actually someone who has another room prepared for you to sleep in as he is willing to give you time to adjust if the wedding shouldn't have been made with your own consens, although you will eventually stretch his patience if you take too long. You definitely have a time where he expects you to get your sleep which is ironic considering that he does stay awake up until early morning at times to finish some important work to the point where it is your job to remind him to sleep. Even then he takes much longer to fall asleep as he is the type to think too much in which case it would be quite relaxing for him to listen to your own breath if you should have fallen asleep before him. He always wakes up so early though and isn't even above waking you up as he isn't as familiar with the concept of just enjoying to lay in bed as you might be since he needs to be productive. He is very quiet as soon as he does fall asleep though and the loose hold he has on your waist isn't a challenge at night.
Tsunade Senju
Tumblr media
🐌Tsunade is paranoid, protective and possessive and as much as she wants to make her darling happy, those different emotions don't necessarily align well with each other. The only bright side is that Tsunade is a sweetheart despite the tough appearance she might put on around others at times. She really cares about your wellbeing but her traumatic past has led her to be very frightened to lose another person she holds so dearly to her own heart. This can lead her to being very overprotective around you and that whole aspect is somehow made even worse when considering that she is a medic. Even if the encounter with Naruto has led her to overcome parts of her trauma, her obsession will definitely awaken some of those scary feelings again. She is very picky when choosing someone to keep an eye on you if she should be too busy and mostly Sakura or Shizune end up looking out for you as those are her students who have Tsunade's trust.
🐌She shares the same mindset as her grandfather does in a way. Being able to lay down after a long and exhausting day whilst being forced to deal with the old people in the council is her highlight where she gets to be as clingy and as affectione with you as she wants to be. She isn't going to actively force you but you know that you'll hurt part of her feelings and the way she handles that pain can lead you to feel very guilty. Tsunade is a strong woman and she knows that but it is a very rare instance where she actively has to hold her strength back whilst cuddling with you in bed because her grip can get very tight at times. Especially if she has a bad dream involving her dead brother and lover can her grip get very tight to the point where you wake up and have to shake her awake unless she wakes up startled and disturbed beforehand. She is so sweet and soft though as soon as both of you are laying under the sheets together whilst kissing you and telling you how much she loves you.
Pain
Tumblr media
🌧️After Yahiko's death it is very safe to say that Nagato's whole view on the world shattered and emerged as something very dark and scary. The organisation which had been originally created to do good in the world has since become the very definition of fear and terror from the shadows as Pain has killed ever since without any morals. However, the blossoming obsession has brought out a deep-rooted fear within Nagato to lose you, someone he loves so much that he can't even bear it at times. That's why he immediately abducts you with one of the many bodies of Pain and locks you forever away in the tower where his real body resides, even though you don't know that just yet. By using his other bodies, he can't seem to express his feelings quite as he wants or even could which heightens your fear even more and within all of the isolation and terror Konan seems to be the only one who can initially help you to be less scared as well as advice Nagato what he should do to make you more comfortable.
🌧️I mean, his real body can't really lay down to sleep with you and I doubt that Nagato even sleeps much to begin with which leaves us with the many other bodies he controls. Honestly, this idea never crosses his mind since the remaining bodies of Pain are essentially dead humans he controls and don't require sleep. It is up to you to even bring this up and Konan reassures him that this is a good sign because it means you are comfortable enough around him which makes Nagato quite giddy on the inside. He feels a tad bit disappointed that he can't do it with his body but you're pretty much free to choose anyone of the other bodies of Pain to lay with you in bed. The metal piercings are always a cold shock on your skin though, not to mention that it is quite uncomfortable when the body of Pain gets too close to you and those things jab into your skin. The thing is that the body isn't even sleeping but instead they're watching you the entire time during the night so that's a great jumpscare to wake up to.
Obito Uchiha
Tumblr media
🔥Obito has also been severely broken ever since Rin's death opened up his eyes to how cruel and twisted the world around him really is. He has dedicated himself to fulfill Madara's vision ever since and has lost all of the aspiration and principles he has held close to his heart back when he used to be young and naive. If you give a man who has nothing to lose anymore an obsession, you will fuel a fire until it becomes an all-consuming inferno and that is exactly what happens when Obito becomes absolutely infatuated with you. He is willing to do absolutely anything to protect you and will commit the most heinous crimes all in the name of his obsessive love. Nothing will touch you though, not even the flames that burn down everything around you. You are left with abduction and terrible isolation though as Obito keeps you away from the world that betrayed him and hurt him to protect you from all the cruelty out there. You may not understand and you may beg for freedom but Obito knows what's best.
🔥His sleep schedule is probably not the healthiest one but he really doesn't care as long as he gets to be clingy and can savour your body held against his own. He is so pushy and doesn't give you any chance to protest as he is instead sickenly sweet whenever you go to sleep and lay down. He wants to take care of you and by extent he is someone who will tell you at one point that you should get some sleep now as protecting you means also controlling your life. Even if your breath, your warmth and your scent should lure him into slumber it isn't very deep to begin with and he wakes up multiple times within an hour as neither his mind nor his heart allow him to rest well. As long as you have a good night of rest though, Obito is satisfied as this is all that matters to him. He doesn't mind staying awake for hours just to watch your sleeping face and feel his heart swelling when seeing you so vulnerable and sweet as it only aids him in his dark determination to protect you no matter what.
Itachi Uchiha
Tumblr media
🍡No matter how guilty Itachi is over what he has done despite being fully aware of the wrongdoings of it, it doesn't change the fact that he has still abducted you and has made it impossible for you to lead a normal life anymore. He tries to make it up to you by being kind and considerate but ultimately he knows that nothing can ever fix his mistake that you have to suffer from for the rest of your life. He allows you the space and the silence though if you should need it as he understands that he would probably only fuel your fear and anger by being too pushy. So he allows you to distance yourself from him even if the loneliness hits him different now that he actually has someone he wishes to spend his time with. He still makes sure to take care of your basic needs by cooking and checking on you from time to time but otherwise he doesn't try to engage with you unless you make the first step by talking to him first. Honestly, you get a lot of time just for yourself though as Itachi has long missions.
🍡You have a separate room with your own place to sleep in as you aren't forced to share a futon with him at night. That doesn't imply that Itachi secretly doesn't long for you at night sometimes but he always reminds himself to be better than that. Sometimes loneliness still gets the better of him which leads Itachi to silently sneak into your room and watch you sleep for a while which makes him feel simultanously ashamed as well as peaceful when seeing you at least sleeping well despite your troubling circumstances. Sleeping with you will be done with your consens and a part of him feels much more relieved and fulfilled to have you much more willing and open around him even if he still knows that it's partially the isolation that has gotten to you. Itachi actually sleeps better when he has you next to him, although he still wakes up a few times and has a very light sleep. There is an unfamiliar feeling of joy and peace though when he has one arm wrapped around your warm body that leads him into a calmer sleep.
Neji Hyuga
Tumblr media
🕊️Neji is honestly like a dream prince. You are the world to him and he absolutely adores you with every cell of his body. However, he is very delusional and protective due to this infatuation of his and even if he has some moments where he might sober up from his obsessive feelings, he always gets pulled back. He wants to marry you and he wants it pretty soon. He isn't as forceful as some other characters would be but he is almost always trying to warm you up to the idea and as soon as he has made the decision to ask you for your hand in marriage, he is sweet-talking and coaxing you into wanting the same thing as him. This is manipulative and toxic to the eye of a rational person but Neji genuinely believes every word that he says. He believes in all the sweet promises of love and romance because he knows that he'll only ever treat you with utter adoration and love. You should know better but it is hard to not fall for Neji's charm as he is so gentle and sincere about everything.
🕊️It is the same charm that will lure you into sharing a bed with him as well. Whilst Neji would be considerate enough to allow you your own room, although reluctantly and with some usage of his Byakugan to watch over you even if you're already asleep, he is coaxing you into something once again like he has done always with you. It is hard to not feel your heart flutter though when he wraps his arms around your body, kisses your forehead and listens to all your worries, hopes and memorable moments whilst looking at you with such adoration in his eyes as he's fully invested in everything you have to say. His hair is one of the softest things you have ever touched in your life and he gladly allows you to play with it a little bit whilst both of you are together in bed. Neji prefers to stay awake until you have fallen asleep as it gives him a feeling of security and peace to see you asleep before he himself also closes his eyes and enjoys your body pressed against his whilst also drifting off to sleep.
Sasuke Uchiha
Tumblr media
💙He may not be as extreme as he used to be but Sasuke is fully capable of committing horrific things to ensure that you stay with him. An abduction is also a plan in that because Sasuke doesn't want to settle down anywhere for now so you have to take part on his journey and whilst he may ask you if you want to join him, don't even believe for a moment that he would accept a rejection from your side. He knows that he is doing something wrong but he is too possessive to be fully able to feel the extent of guilt that would be appropriate in this scenario. The worst part is that he is sometimes for days on end the only person you see as the next village may be still away and with that your next chance to be around someone who isn't Sasuke. As you are forced to spend so much time with Sasuke, you are always kept within his vision so he can keep an eye on you in case something happens and to reduce the chances of you doing something potentially stupid. You hate it at times so much.
💙For some reason, despite your initial impression that Sasuke is more of a distant individual, he insists from the very first night that you two should lay next to each other. Arguing with him can give you at most only a few days where he begrudgingly accepts that you sleep away from him but eventually he leaves you with no choice as he turns more forceful. At times it might actually be wiser to lay next to him because both of you are going to sleep outside a lot during his travels which means that it can be cold and windy which makes his body warmth quite useful and you can almost feel the smug grin crossing his lips when you have to cuddle yourself closer to him whilst goosebumps are covering your skin. Since both of you are outside though, he is much more alert due to being protective over you which makes him quite aware of his surroundings even whilst he is asleep. Surprisingly touchy with you at night too considering that he is much more reserved with it during the day.

FEEL LIKE I AM HUMAN - PROLOGUE
pairing: tobirama senju x fem!reader

warnings: fluffy, angst with happy end because I'm a romantic, suggestive topics, emotional themes, explicit scenes (eventually).
author notes: hello! i'm back with my pretty boy tobirama, hope you like it! as always, i'm sorry for about the spelling, grammar isn't my strong suit
chap.1
PROLOGUE - 0
Tumblr media
Tobirama has fought for his life since he was born.
Father said that they thought he was dead when he came to the world. Unlike other babies that cry and scream, when mother gave birth to Tobirama, he didn’t make a sound. The midwife pinched his cheek and slapped his butt, but he was quiet, and his tiny limbs stood still.
Only when mother cried for the loss of his son, Tobirama made a sound. He cried, loud, that even those who weren’t inside the room could hear. The midwife was relieved, and as soon as he was clean, she delivered the baby to his mother’s arms.
Mother’s chest and arms were warm, they felt as comfortable as her womb, but Tobirama kept crying as hard as before. Mother caressed his tiny face with her fingers, shooing her baby, showing to him that he was okay now, and she would take care of him.
Slowly, she took one of his cold hands into her bigger one, tears welling up in her eyes. He was so small, and only for a moment, he was all hers. In mother’s arms, head on her chest, Tobirama did not belong to the war or to the shinobi world, for some minutes, he belonged to her.
Mother felt the tears she was holding back streaming down her face when Tobirama closed his little hand around her index finger. For a newborn, he had a strong grip, and mother understood.
Tobirama had a strong grip on life, and he would survive, no matter the circumstances, no matter how hard things would be for him.
Tobirama would live.
For a few more minutes, mother holds her son while he still belongs to her. While life is still kind to him.
...
Mother’s last wish was for Tobirama to be happy. Two of her children were already dead, and she knew that Hashirama would become a great man, with a big family and a lovely wife. It was written in his eyes that he would be fine. So, in her last days, she prayed that Tobirama could find his own way to be happy.
He was a difficult child, but his heart was pure, and she wished only the best for him.
Just like years before, when Tobirama was born, mother held her baby tightly against her chest. For one last time she brushed his white hair, caressed his face and kissed his forehead.
Unlike years before, now Tobirama didn’t belong to her alone, the world had claimed him. Life made his tiny body grow, and his hands no longer sought for hers when he is scared anymore. Slowly, but firmly, Tobirama was becoming a man.
Mother looked at her son, he was lying beside her on the bed, his head pressed on her chest, searching for her warm, but she was cold now. She smiled, Tobirama was breathing.
As mother's life drew to an end, Tobirama was still here—alive. She couldn’t have been prouder of him, or of herself
‘Please, be kind to him.’ She whispered.
“Mom?”
The baby talks back, but mother can’t hear him anymore.
...
The young daughter of Tajima Uchiha keeps growing. The elders say that Tajima should start searching a well-suited husband for her, but the matriarch insists that her daughter will have free will to choose her lover. The Uchiha leader agrees with the elders, but he decided to guarantee his wife’s wish. For now, at least.
Tajima feels his heart hurt when he looks at his daughter. She is running in his direction, big, fatty tears running down her face while her little hands carry a bird. The animal is probably dead, and his daughter is crying, mourning the cruelty the bird went thought. He should tell her that life is hard, and animals – people - die, but he can’t. The ruthless leader of the Uchiha clan has a soft sport on his heart reserved for his daughter. So, he hugs her, promising that the bird is in a better place with his family.
She is still young, but Tajima can see that she will be a kind woman in the future. Unfortunately, the world they live in doesn’t appreciate good people.
Tajima doesn’t pray, but at that moment, he silently asks the Gods to protect his daughter and keep her heart safe.

That put me in an really good mood; lol. That was way too fun to write; maybe I can one day write a super angsty break up (but I love them too much!!!).
I love all artists 😭😭😭 Painters, writers — digital or paper. Anything that expresses the inner workings of someone’s mind and the fact that they can manifest it to reality is so so so beautiful. I hope I’ve secretly seen your art, I’d probably simp over it. Always simp over art. 😂😂🥹🥹
N/SFW; very cute Uchiha men adoring your artwork! 🥹🥹🥹 (ooc Madara??); Simpy Obito; …Scandalous Shisui; abnormally observant Itachi 😂 suggestive themes rolled out the further I got. For some reason, I just had to. (P.s. I should not be allowed to write when tired??? Half of this was done while my eyes rolled shut in bed).
Madara:
It’s not everyday that Madara is blown like a leaf in the wind. When you mentioned being a patron of the arts, he thought maybe the art of battle?? Didn’t expect your weapon to be a paint brush with some acrylic paint. Thought it was some weird jutsu infused shit.
And then you just had to go above and beyond and do a portrait of him for his birthday!!!!! It’s hung on the living room center wall so that it’s the first thing anyone sees! Honestly, this man is a brute, but your art envokes his softer side! A side that he hasn’t been in touch with for…well, a long time.
Makes sure that everyone and I mean, everyone, is aware of your talent! Still, he tries to find the side hussle in it, soliciting customers for you and all. 😭😭 Will trash talk the chalk art children make on the sidewalk, which ‘…that’s not nice, they’re children..’ you say. He shrugs, nobody is as good as you.
Obito:
Finds out and tries to ‘secretly’ commission you lmao. Makes it totally obvious too, his handwriting is shit and eveeeerrryyyyone knows who Tobi really is…. Plus how can you even begin without discussing what he wants done!! Duh, Obito! Unfortunately for him, you are more interested in drawing matters of the flesh. He’ll only show his chest, nothing more.
‘That’s fine.’ You shrug, and get to work. Obito, however, does not have the resolve to sit still! It’s frustrating to no end, but alas, after what seems an eternity— its done. Sort of. Still much to add, but the basics are there and you’ll work better when he’s not asking how does it look every twenty minutes.
Eventually you do finish this beautiful piece of him, and Obito cries. You made his scars tolerable and beautiful with your mind’s creativity, he feels less self conscious about them, only a little.
Shisui:
Is the least normal about it when he discovered your sketchbook — more like snatched and played keep away. Had to fight him for it, literally. Will ask you to paint/draw him naked…many times lol and you respectfully say no... Not that he likes people to see him naked (ok maybe a little?) but he secretly hopes it might happen one day. It would be a private thing for the two of you, cause he wants that ass.
And when you do cave to his whim, just to satiate him. He’s nervous lmao. Had this oh so macho man idea of rocking a hard on but Shisui simply maintains his usual semi. It’s nice though, you make sure it’s extremely detailed..as he asked for.
But, ‘(y/n)… this is chibbi!!!’ Lol, jokes on Shisui!! He didn’t say how to draw his pp.
Itachi:
Is the most normal about it. Though he still will praise you every time you finish a piece and show him, he is still massively impressed. How does your wrist not get tired? …maybe this is why your hand jobs are so good. 😈 Just watching you try a new technique (pointillism, which is my favorite style) makes his wrist hurt. Enjoys when you ask him for ideas! He has lots of them! Mostly…obscure and derelict landscapes though.
Would not be opposed to having his portrait done, but it’s really not his style. He is disciplined enough to sit still but doesn’t see the value in it. Not until the final product is revealed, does he truly understand how important this piece was. You’ve captured his personality in a new light.

The themes of Naruto and how the fact he and Sasuke are reincarnations/part of a cycle expands on those themes
Some guy was going on about how the reincarnation thing in Naruto was an asspull and when people pulled receipts and showed him panels from part one that hinted at it he maintained that it was still terrible because the whole destiny thing ruined the themes of the manga and I'm here like somebody really read the whole manga yet missed out on the themes of peace through absolute power vs peace through understanding that were key to the whole thing.
The Akatsuki's dream of peace is enforced on the rest of the world through the absolute power of the 9 bijuu powered infinite tsukuyomi. Sasuke chases power in order to avenge his family so he can be at peace + not have the threat of Itachi killing any further family he makes all over again hanging over him. Naruto comes to peace with those around him by understanding them whether or not he considers their past actions forgiveable, he chases Sasuke because he understands that Sasuke's motivation of revenge isn't wrong but the way he's going about it is actively self-destructive and hurts both him and those who care about him.
The whole idea of the villages I think are to show that it's a cycle of hatred, between war and peace, between might making right and compassion being the key and Sasuke and Naruto are symbolically representative of it all!
The theme of generational trauma is also all over the world of Naruto! Whether it's the legacy of the Uzumaki sacrificed to become the jinchuriki of the nine tails, a burden his parents pass onto Naruto; Kakashi's trauma stemming from his father's, Hinata and Neji both innocent kids but who are divided by the toxic customs of their family when they should be like siblings to each other, Hashirama and Madara bearing the weight of the brother war the Senju-Uchiha conflict and how hard it is to achieve peace even in a world where neither side actually wants to fight because of all the history and distrust that's built up, the curse of hatred of the Uchiha stemming from Ootsutsuki Indra's madness and willingness to murder his closest friends for the sake of taking power by force, Obito being taken by his own clan patriarch, hurt when he tries to leave and brainwashed and traumatised into buying into the dream of a perfect world - he literally inherits his hatred for the existing one, Gaara and his siblings lives effected by their father's actions but also by the custom of jinchuriki being created in the first place, the children of Ame all orphaned by war, Kaguya the enslaver, Kaguya the dictator, leaving a fragment of her will called Zetsu aka 'tongue' that continues to spread hatred, fear and prejudice and divide the people hundreds of years on. Haku experiencing the results of both the ninja world 'shinobi are tools' belief system and the prejudice of Kirigakure towards those with bloodline limits when he's a child too young to fully understand either with Zabuza the demon of the bloody mist who killed all his classmates to end kiri's killer graduation exams once and for all who can't bring himself to express his genuine love for Haku until he's already dead. I mean I could go on but you get the point.
The reincarnation thing emphasises the themes of Naruto which are generational trauma, the power of brotherhood/friendship and peace through absolute power vs peace through understanding and last but not least endurance in the face of a hopelessly cynical world: aka The will of fire, the will/resolve to keep trying to improve things even a little for the sake of the next generation, to refuse to give up even when it appears hopeless. Like say when you've just gotten your ass kicked by an army of zombies, the remainder of Akatsuki, Obito, Zetsu and Uchiha fucking Madara, you've failed to stop the moon's eye plan and suddenly, things get worse and a literal all powerful Goddess descends on you when you're already exhausted and the rest of the army is comatose.

Nirvana: A Rock Lee Tale (Chapter 8)
Tumblr media

Previous Chapter Next Chapter
The tournament is in less than a month, and almost all of the students are on edge; Amanda constantly pressures her poor rival, Orchid, into sparring matches; Sasuke practically lives at the dojo; and Sensei Lee stays after hours to brainstorm combat strategies with Neji. Lee always advocated for individual fight styles in his teachings, honoring the reality that everyone is different. His students simply share the same art form.
And you are right there beside them, behaving less like a nurse and more like an emotional support crutch- a cheerleader, even. You don’t mind really, being a shoulder to lean on when the pressure gets to them. It makes you feel needed and appreciated, even though you work there several days a week now instead of weekly like you used to a few months prior. Even though you’re juggling a whole community’s morale on top of your actual job which endlessly drains the soul out of you. The early and late hours, the dwindling breaks, the high-stakes operations, the microaggressions. You really don’t mind it. Really.
You lounge on your queen-sized bed all cuddled up with your plushies. That white business card sits between your fingers, currently the subject of your fixed examination. His long, spiky hair. His piercing gaze. Something about Madara feels grossly grandiose and self-interested- but his graceful, eerily classy demeanor makes it hard to pinpoint.
Can his offer actually help remedy my stressful work life? Or will he worsen it?
Ion trust him for jack shit… but can I trust what his services will do for me?
Luckily, you and Lee are going on another date soon. That should get your mind off things…
-
It’s around a quarter to eleven in the morning when Madara’s eyes crack open from fresh slumber. His burly muscles flex against the sheets before taking a moment to sit up. After yawning a good amount of sleep away, the veteran leaves his bed decorated with two naked women snoring their mouths off. After throwing on a ruby silk robe for decency, Madara pads out of his room and makes his way to the kitchen island.
That is until the telephone ringing in his private office freezes his footsteps. He whips his head in its direction, curiosity peaking his immediate attention.
“Fuck it,” he whispers before turning his heel. The smell of brewing coffee can wait.
As soon as he seats himself, he plucks the phone from its cradle and raises it to his ear.
“Mr. Uchiha speaking?”
The raspy grovel of his morning voice provokes the arch of your back, but you compulsively bury such a riveting sensation. You did not call this man at the crack of dawn just to get off.
“What if I had conditions of my own?”
Madara’s sharp eyes widen, pleasantly surprised to hear your voice first thing in the morning.
“It’s nice to hear from you again,” he slouches against his leather chair and spreads his thighs. “I thought you already made up your mind about me.”
“Oh I have,” you retort calmly. “But I haven’t made up my mind about your offer.”
The older man savors the sweet texture of your voice. “Of course you haven’t. I’m quite the businessman, after all.”
The way this man talks alarms you: he likes to get too cryptic for your liking. “Well since you’re quite the businessman, I suggest you answer my questions carefully.”
Oh.
Aren’t you full of surprises?
“Mhmm.” He hums amusedly, enjoying how elegantly you speak despite your cold attitude. It’s cute. “And what might those questions be, sweetheart?”
You ignore the pet name no matter how much it replays in your head, “Will I have my own private office?”
Madara doesn’t miss a beat, “It’s already equipped with the necessary medical provisions. You can make whatever personal adjustments you like, of course.”
You swing your leg over the other, hovering your keyboard while using one of the hospital computers to browse any info related to the stranger you’re calling.
You wonder what Madara has done to afford such revenue he so generously revealed the first time y’all met. For some reason, he feels confident enough about his lucre to try and buy your services. On top of his claim that you can pick your work hours-
“Then.. What are your conditions for this job offer? And if you lie, I’ll know.”
Madara clicks his tongue, “You won’t, but I’ll still grant your request for honesty.”
Ceasing your mouse-clicking, you side-eye the phone in your hand.
“All of my terms are listed on a contract- which also documents the entirety of your labor rights. One of the main conditions to bring up is you permanently cutting ties with the Mighty Rock Dojo under my supervision.”
Fragmented memories of Lee and the students flash before your frightened eyes; precious, time-testing moments rush through your mind before you can even process them all. The veteran scoots his sleek rolling chair forward so he can rest his elbows on the Italian maple wood of his desk. His undirected gaze turns murky with anticipation, the corner of his lips tugging up the slightest bit.
“I really am glad you called, Miss Y/n. Now we can plan a time to meet in person and go over every detail. Choose any restaurant you please, I guarantee it won’t be a hassle.” Madara flicks a dismissive hand in the air.
“I have one more question for you, Mr. Uchiha.”
“And what might that be?” He muses while tapping his fingertips.
“Why does Sensei Lee hate you so much?”
Madara ceases all movement, instead using the silence in the air to think. He glances down at a small wooden box sitting beside his PC and opens it to pluck a cigar. He tucks the phone between his ear and shoulder to clip the tube-shaped tobacco. After that, he switches open his lighter and raises its flame to the cylindrical product.
Your grip on your phone tightens as you glare down at your lap. You can hear your pulse thumping in your ears. The man on the other line doesn’t expect the sudden kick he’s getting out of making you wait for his response, who knew you'd be so fun to push?
“Now, now, dollface.” Smoke blows through his nostrils after inhaling a hefty amount, and his black eyes narrow into a shameless leer. “If you wanted to know more about me you could’ve just asked me out.”
You hang up in defeat, “fuck you.”
Madara guffaws heartily at your brisk departure; for he was only getting started! After putting his cigar out, he returns his telephone to its cradle. Once he remembers that coffee he was looking forward to, Madara rises from his seat and meanders out of the office. The sound of tantalizing giggles reverberating from his master bedroom stops him in his path once again.
“Daddyyyy, where’d you go~?” A particularly sultry voice calls for him.
“Yeah baby, we miss you~.”
The dark-haired man sighs helplessly before turning his heel, “I guess one more hour couldn’t hurt.”
-
The plant conservatory is big and grand, like a palace housed by aristocrats. Except nature is what graces such hospitality, and is why you and Lee are sightseeing within it. You both stroll among the semi-transparent corridors of tree vines, wildflowers, and diverse cacti, followed by watching the glow of colorful fish ripple your reflections in the ponds.
You find yourselves sitting at a secluded bench while conversing with one another, aimlessly talking about whatever your hearts desire.
“You really are a trip man,” you side eye Lee with a lively smirk. “How did you even muster the courage to do something like that?”
“It was all or nothing,” Lee leans against the bench and rests his left arm comfortably behind your back. “Shika swore he could really give a damn, but deep down he loved it.”
That sounds exactly like Shika too, an unbothered individual who secretly sees the world as nothing less than his oyster. Of course, he orchestrated strategies to help Lee outsmart his opponents in fights before exclusively committing to real estate. And of course, he never told you about it.
You kiss your teeth with a petulant pout. “He never mentioned much about you.”
Lee ogles at you knowingly. “He never mentioned much about you.”
“Besides introducing me to your dojo,” you dwell on the moment you first stepped foot on the sparring mat. “He at least did that right.”
“Yeah,” Lee snickers gently before scooting closer to feel more of your heat. “He sure did.”
Anddd your sensei does it again, utterly enrapturing you with his contented grin and those eyes that shamelessly search for your soul. You can feel the weight of his brawny arm press gently against your upper back, a warm reminder of the thrilling safety he provides you. And when the closing proximity causes your knees to touch, an invisible jolt shocks through your core. You straighten your posture to stay focused.
“I uhh… I called that Uchiha guy recently.”
However, there is nothing anyone can say or do that would prepare you for how Lee’s face falls at your revelation: his expression frozen in place before his eyebrows slowly knit together in silent confusion and betrayal. You feel his arm steadily slipping away from your body and a violent chill assaults you with goosebumps. You haven’t felt this cold since the night Shikamaru dumped you. Lee remains quiet and instead lets his calmly offended stare do the talking.
“I-“A panicked exhale escapes your lips. “I just wanted to look for more options.”
“And what options might those be?” The bass in Lee’s voice comes off more accusatory than he intended, and the way you bite your bottom lip to keep it from quivering confirms that. “You don’t listen. Didn’t I tell you he’s a dangerous man?”
“Wha— and you aren’t?!”
All the tension in Lee’s face evaporates as your remark echoes through his mind. His big, enthralling eyes widen with fright as he continues to process the undeniable truth in your words. Your eyes shift to your lap, for you can no longer bear how this man looks at you.
You’re right, not even Lee can deny that he’s a lethal weapon when he chooses to be. It’s what got him through his bleakest moments. It’s a big part of what drew you to him, the way he looks so in control of his life and that no one can bring him down. But now you must re-examine what you want from this beautiful, irreplaceable relationship you’ve both nurtured.
“I’m trying to protect you,” Lee reasons as he lowers his gaze to try and meet yours.
You cradle your head in your hands and squeeze your delicate coils, “I don’t need your protection. I-I need stability. I need peace… At least he’ll pay me my money’s worth.”
“How is selling yourself to Madara gonna bring you any of those things? Talk to me, flower.” Lee cannot stand the way your back hunches, the way you’re slipping into your unforgiving mind rather than being here with him. “Didn’t you agree to just volunteer at Mighty Rock?”
“Yeah- but I can’t do it anymore! I just can’t,” you hate that Lee heard your voice crack desperately. That he can see you cracking desperately. And now, you refuse to lift your chin up. You refuse to let him see the tears again. You refuse to let him see the mess you’ve made of yourself again.
“I thought that I could handle it, that I could take it 'cause they need me y’know?”
They do, the man beside you thinks. But he remains silent, adamant about making sure he understands your disposition rather than projecting his needs onto your own.
“But my job- my real job…” you hiccup a few breaths to constrain your weeping, and the sound makes Lee want to die a little. “It’s tearing me apart…. It’s tearing me apart.”
The cherry on top is that this is nothing new for you. Time and time again you paid the spiritual price that nursing commands while trying to live a fulfilling life. But the one thing that’s always destroyed you is the unrelenting pride within that refuses to identify itself as a victim, and would rather flay your mental health than do so. You have honest-to-god never felt this brand of despair in your entire life.
You flinch at the instant, all-encompassing warmth surrounding you. Two solid, hefty arms pull you in until your face is smushed between Lee’s broad shoulders- his cologne mixed delectably with his natural musk. The way he holds you tight until there’s no space left between you combined with the feeling of his heartbeat makes you heady with bliss. You can’t move and you don’t want to.
“…Guy Sensei used to tell me this every time I felt like quitting taijutsu,” He coos lovingly. “Wanna hear it, baby?”
When you respond with a sniffle, you feel a deep chuckle reverberate from Lee’s chest.
“Okay,” he clears his throat which tugs at your lips a bit. “He’d say: If you lose your dream, you will suffer more than you do now… You and I are just fools who can’t live without… our warrior way. It’s our nindo.”
You feel Lee’s shirt absorb some of your tears as you take the time to process his words. With that statement alone, you can tell just how invaluable Lee and Might Guy’s bond is. The fact that Lee is willing to pass on such sacred wisdom to you from his sensei makes you feel like you’ve received a gift. Your chest blooms at the realization.
Lee unravels his arms and grips your shoulders so he can look at you. He can’t help but swoon at how adorable you look: with your puffy, tear-stricken face and pouty lips; your runny nose and slightly disheveled coils; the exhausted yet hopeful look in your reddened eyes. He could eat you up.
“I don’t know what your dream is, Y/n. But-“ Your man pulls out some napkins from his back pocket and gently wipes the wetness off your face. “There’s nothing worse than abandoning it. Don’t accept defeat, believe in what you want for yourself.”
Once your face is dry, he focuses on wiping the snot from your nose. His fingers carefully pinch your nostrils. “Blow,” he commands and you do exactly that because he’s taking care of you and you’re too emotionally exhausted to feel embarrassed about it.
After finishing, he tosses the used napkins in a nearby trash can and sanitizes his hands. “I mean- if it helps, just know that I believe in you. Okay?”
That’s when you grab his chin and collide your lips with his own. Lee’s eyes flutter shut as he moans quietly into your soft mouth, the sound alone makes you deepen the kiss. Your hand lets go of his jaw and falls to his brick wall of a chest to feel his heartbeat again. Lee lifts your legs with one arm and places them on his lap for more access, before cupping your round cheeks with his palms to pull you closer. He presses chaste kiss after chaste kiss on your plush lips, reveling at the wet sounds they make every time he pulls away.
“I love you… so much,” You sigh in between his smooches.
Lee reels back, “…Then let me protect you. Promise me you’ll stay away from him.”
His thick brows crease impassionately and you surrender to his vulnerable gaze, “I promise.”
Your date pulls you into his embrace once more and rests his chin on top of your head.
“And flower?”
“Yeah?”
“I love you too.”
You smile gleefully and hug him back, letting the feel of his sturdy body ground you. Lee stares at nothing in particular, simply satisfied with having you like this. But the thought of Madara even talking to you makes his eyes brim with aberrant rage. It makes his jaw clench with bloodlust.
He will not take my woman.

Hi there. Any mdtb AU fic recs (modern setting preferably or unique settings) that you could share? Thanks :)
Sure thing! I'm gonna try to list some of the less popular (around 500 or less kudos) fics that I love so there's a higher chance people haven't read them yet, and also, so they'll get more love.
Forward by @raendown
Modern AU where Madara meets Tobirama again at a soccer game. Very cute and Raendown's works are all amazing. Honestly, they have a ton of good Modern AU's, so I'd just go check their profile out and search their Modern AU tag.
Get Yourself Someone Who Can Do Both by Gracelte
A funny modern AU Valentine's fic where every year for Valentine's, Madara pretends to go get stood up at a restaurant to get free meals.
The Boss's Sweetheart series by Sylencia
An overall amazing series, I think the second one is my favorite just because of the scene they make at their date and how Madara tries to make up for it afterwards.
In Need of Good Food by @wisiaden
A very funny food fic where Tobirama has a ton of food allergies, but doesn't let that stop him from enjoying renown chef Madara's food.
To Whom it May Concern by Honks
A very cute and funny Modern fic with an online crochet teacher Tobirama, who goes by Suiton, and a Madara who is a very good son who is just trying to help his mother out by emailing Suiton questions about his pattern videos.
Of Fungi And Voyria by @messier-47
This is actually a Stardew Valley au, though no knowledge of the game is needed (as I have none and still enjoyed it). It's got some heavy themes though, so mind the tags. Totally worth it if you can read it though, it's what got me into Messier's fics (which are all amazing, especially the spice).
Two Of A Kind by midnightfeast
This is a MadaTobi fic in a kinda loose way, as Madara is an inmate at a prison, and Tobirama is a horse, but they bond. It's cute, and a little funny seeing Madara become the Horse Girl tm. Definitely worth a read.
Angel of Vengeance by Makiaru
Modern cop Tobirama who requires help from a hired killer Madara for a special case after something happens and his suspect walks free, allowing them to kidnap his younger brothers.
And now, for some spice!
No Matter the Distance by Sylencia
Modern AU long distance relationship with some nice phone sex.
Play Games With Me by Sir_Thirst_A_Lot
A funny modern gaming streamer Tobirama and Madara fic with lots of fluff and UST.
Working Relationship by CreativeSweets
A modern superhero au with kleptomaniac Tobirama and superhero Madara falling for each other. In mask or out of mask? I won't say. It's a good story on its own, but it does have some spice in it.
Ride For Me by Pengress
A spicy fic set in a modern sex club where Madara goes to let off some steam by himself. Tobirama likes what he sees and maybe wants to show Madara how much better things would be if he let Tobirama join. For now though he can't touch Madara, so he'll have to get creative.
All in the Technique by @illogicals-blog
Tobirama moves back home and rejoins the Uchiha owned dojo where Madara has become an instructor. Lots of UST, and many innuendos about working out.
Send them Packing by @ellionne
A funny modern female Madara exacting revenge on some men who decide to spread fake stories about sleeping with her by pretending to have a dick they apparently "forgot" to mention in their stories, and a sec shop worker Tobirama who is all too willing to help her, in more ways than one.
If there's a Modern AU fic you like that I didn't list, it's either because it's something I've already linked before in a previous rec list, which you can find here or here, or it's from Raendown or Sylencia, who pretty much dominate the Modern AU tags, and you should definitely just go to their pages and read all their fics.

nejihina is was and still popular in China and Japan and that alone makes me happy, I've seen so many say nejihina was never popular but it is. Did you know kishimoto wanted to reboot part 1 naruto series, we could have had more focus on the clans like the hyuga, inuzuka, uhicha clan and others clans. I believe kishomoto wanted to fix what he did wrong. Also I had no idea that naruto part 1 is far more popular than shippuden with some people and I can see why, part 1 had the ninja theme and part 2 went downhill and ruined it.
Hi!!
Yes, it also makes me happy that there's still a lot of people loving NejiHina 🩷.
I didn't know!! I once read he agreed to Boruto because he initially thought it always a reboot and nor a sequel, but Idk if that's true. A reboot would be wonderful!!!
I think that Team Guy has actually more protagonist vibes than Team 7, but I'd be happy whoever the MC is as far as it give us more about other clans and characters!
I think the EXTREME focus on Uchiha Clan and Sasuke was part of what made Shippuden go downhill, they were interesting when yk, they were just *part* of the plot and not everything at all. It was far more interesting to think Sasuke was one of Naruto's worries but there were other villains too, and I honestly felt extremely disappointed with all, Akatsuki included, revolving about the Uchiha. It made no sense IMO (I hated that Nagato's eyes were supposed to be Madara's, it was like 'what?' 🙄) but it also made a lot of us get tired of the Uchiha and even at some extent start disliking them because it was an exaggeration.
Oh, I remember how cool Akatsuki was!! I was up to date with Naruto back then, and I was not so patiently waiting for next chapter each week. I used to think 'They are SO strong, how on Earth are they gonna be defeated?' every time a new Akatsuki was introduced, but the power scale became so ridiculous high by war that Akatsuki ended up being nothing. I firmly believe Pain should have been the final villain, with Akatsuki by his side ofc, and yk, not to be defeated by Naruto's Tnj.
But well, this is what we got no matter what we wanted.
I'd totally watch a reboot and I'd love if it was focused on other clans!!! Ofc, I favour Hyuga Clan above everyone, but there are many interesting clans out there!!!

amusement park pt 2
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
[🗼] you go to the amusement park with them
characters: obito uchiha; madara uchiha
genre: fluff; modern au
warnings: gn!reader; suggestive themes
part 1
Tumblr media
-my boy obito got super excited !! like he gets to go out with you and have fun ?? touching you all night ?? he is over the moon
-he certainly wasn’t the one who got the idea because it never crossed his baby mind ok he just thought these kind of places weren’t really ideal for a nice date
-he certainly wasn’t the one who got the idea because it never crossed his baby mind ok he just thought these kind of places weren’t really ideal for a nice date
-he is a silly gentleman who is so in love with you, so from the moment you guys meet up–whether he picks you up or you guys meet up in the park–, he gives you a bouquet of fresh flowers or chocolates omgg stopppp
-you'll be like ??? boy you can't get in the park with plants or food,, but he didn't think about that he just wanted to give you something aaaa
-so you leave the things in his or your car and obito would be so embarrassed but you assure him that you loved his little lovely actions but that he should think about it before doing anything hahah
-will pay for everything and carry all your things and will never leave you alone hsjdjs
-he is afraid if he loses sight of you you'll get hurt or someone can harm you, so he brought a strand to link your wrists with his ??? boy please just turn your bluetooth on
-i hc obito as someone who isn't much against pda but he is very sheepish and shy about kisses and smooches so he wouldn't know how to react if you are suddenly pulling him in for some kikis
-however if you are in a secluded are, like the Ferris wheel, or in the back of the park, then he is okay with heavy kissing and grabbing, he wouldn't want explicit public sex but will accept making out until you just want to go home and finish your business
-which is probably how your stance in the amusement park will end, with obito driving at 80 mph because he wants to get home asap !!
Tumblr media
-madara lmao this guy despises people and sounds and fun
-but since uchiha love is beyond common comprehension, this guy somehow accepted to go to an amusement park with you
-ok so since it is canon that madara enjoys of pain ??? I think he will actually like riding the most extreme games just for the adrenaline
-but he will be so bitchy about the long lines; if there are ways of getting faster to the games he will do it no doubt, even if he has to bribe,,,,
-he would practically drain himself with all the games that were made to give heart attacks; ok maybe he overestimated these places, he thought they were dumb and boring but you can actually taste your limits lmao madara get checked
-he is a weird gentleman like he would disapprove of men not helping their girls but then would forget about his partner omg, it is not until you're holding too many things that he starts helping you
-he is very kind with you and only you though, I hc madara as someone who falls very hard for his s/o, so while he is very rude and superficial with anyone else, he is a real softie with you
-he is the one in charge of the money spent so if he considers something not worth of your money, then he won't buy it for you lol and if you insist you spend your own money, then he will make a fuss about it hahah
-madara doesn't really appreciate pda so he will probably not return your touches and will lecture you lol
-your night will probably end when you get tired or if there are too many drunk people around and he takes you home because he wouldn't want you to het hurt awww

Character(s): Madara Uchiha (Naruto)
Summary: When an Alice leaves wonderland (Be that they died or managed to escape the place), a new Alice falls from the rabbit hole. Faith strings pull and look at your memories and thoughts and decide how the residents of wonderland would look at the new Alice. The first Alice was loved and cared for, after they died many grieved their death. The next Alice was hotty, spoiled and uncaring they died because they were abandoned by the residents. The next died becoming an experiment of a resident they too were not loved and the next and the next and the next. The residents adopted the idea that whenever a new Alice comes they would experience a horrible faith in the end... well that is when you came along. A small 10 year old child.
Today you will meet the Mad Hatter.

Tumblr media
Mad Hatter was surprised but later on delighted upon seeing you. In this world, there aren’t many children, and many of them alive had a bratty attitude, something he personally dislikes. He may not be this so-called king but he knows that he is better than others and kids just don’t know that. He saw how innocent you were and how he could easily mold you if you joined his side.
“Mister Mad Hatter is very powerful! I wish I could blow fire from my mouth too!” You said cheerfully while sipping the tea, there was a little cake on the side of your mouth as you looked at Madara with stars in your eyes.
“I am a powerful being here,” Madara said haughtily enjoying the exciting look you are giving to him, he loved how you would nod your head with this exciting look as he told you stories of his powers and how he reached where he is now one of the most powerful people here in wonderland.
It boosts his ego so much.
“Ah, I need to go now.” You said finally realizing the time. “Father would be worried if I am outside for too long!”
“Father…?” Madara didn’t like what she was saying. Father?? He would make a much better father than this so called man that supposedly raised you. He can’t even stop you from coming to this dangerous place, Madara, he would be a better role for father and besides he wants to keep little Alice, no way is he letting her go.
You nodded at what he said, “I was playing with him before I fell into this rabbit hole! I need to get back now.”
You hopped off the floating chair and were about to leave when the gates to the outside suddenly shut by themselves. “Huh?” You tried to push but the gate would not budge.
“You don’t need that man,” Madara said, standing up from his red leather floating seat and walking up to her. He grabbed you by the waist and carried you, placing you on his side. “I am gonna look after you now.”
“But- bu-”
“No buts.”
“Ehh?”
“No ehh, either,” Madara said to her, placing a cookie on her mouth. “Eat that.”
You munched into the cookie pouting at the man, while Madara smirked, satisfied that you didn’t question him while most would just spite it out. Goes to show that you are very innocent. So keeping you in his home to keep you safe was a favor for you so you should be glad and thankful that he was willing to help.
You rubbed your eyes as sleep started to take over you. Madara roughly pushed your head to his shoulder, something he always saw Mikoto do when Sasuke was young. You whined at the pain instead of being grateful which made Madara raise a brow in surprise but you didn’t complain.
“Sleep kid, you are mine now.”

I made like five really long comments on this tumblr post I came across and I hate @ing people so I won’t but it was essentially another HashiMada vs MadaTobi vs IzuTobi vs… uh whatever else there is and here are my two cents.
Before I begin, we’re on tumblr. Yes, we’re making this up. We met the founders for like two episodes or whatever like. Yeah. This is an anime about moon aliens trying to take over the world because some not-grandpa somehow spent 80 years alone in a cave surviving on resentment and sheer spite alone. Don’t give me that bullshit. If you didn’t actually care about made-up stories/romances you wouldn’t be here.
Moving on.
In regards to the HashiMada/MadaTobi/IzuTobi argument, I have one main point that blows every (Hashirama) ship argument out of the water:
Mito Uzumaki.
Okay, backtracking.
To summarize these ships, I think HashiMada, when viewed romantically, is too sweet and… typical, yknow? Like stereotypical Romeo and Juliet and yeah I like the occasional Hashimada post, yknow, it’s not BAD it’s just… meh. IzuTobi is fun because they can have an incredibly strong rivalry going on, but I think Izuna is waaay too toxic/aggressive for anyone… he’s like… he gives me… like… *squints* incel vibes sometimes yknow? It’s so hard to explain, but I know exactly what I mean. Now, MadaTobi? Gorgeous. In the anime/manga they’re like perfect opposites yknow? Well, not PERFECT like SNS but like… so complimentary (kinda… ish).
Okay look, Hashi and Mito are very complimentary. Bright red/white vs earthy green/brown. Girl boss vs malewife. Incredibly intelligent vs incredibly powerful. I love HashiMito, they’re just so good for each other.
On the other hand, HashiMada is a little strange because they don’t mesh so well; earthy green/brown vs angry red/black/purple, malewife vs Tired DadTM, both ridiculous powerhouses, one centered around peace and prosperity while the other is centered around his family. It CAN work but it’s not nearly as poetic and perfect (and yes I mean PERFECT) as HashiMito is. Again, no problem with HashiMada but… Madara is not The One for Hashirama, yknow? I’m all for the gays but come on, you’re gonna overlook an icon like Mito? Unacceptable.
Now I can’t say I understand Izuna very well but I do understand (I think) Madara and Tobirama decently well. Back to compliments, angry red/black/purple vs icy blue/white/red aren’t COMPLIMENTARY but it is very indicative of Tobirama and Madara’s natures. Tired DadTM vs Adopts-all-the-strays single mother, family centered vs found family/family of choice centered, incredibly powerful vs incredibly intelligent (wait a minute, that sounds a little familiar…), and (my fav) a very rough exterior to hide a very hurt, war-traumatized person underneath (Hashirama was always a little too… idealistic to truly understand that no, you can’t stop fighting your ancestral enemy just because you WANT to).
Again, I dont really have Izuna pegged very well but… he’s just a little sus (and whiny seriously I’ll never get over him snitching on Madara and Hashirama at the river or his constant dOnT tRuSt ThE sEnJu like bitch (lovingly, tiredly) shut up) ((I don’t hate Izuna!! He’s just… a brat actually that’s kind of the theme with younger Uchiha brothers lol))
Uh, I feel like people won’t understand my characterizations so here is how I understand the founders which may not be correct/what was intended but I don’t care and neither should you:
Hashirama - eldest son which usually implies having the heaviest load (for example, Madara) but he’s actually a little spoiled. His enthusiasm/generally cheery demeanor isn’t like Naruto’s (a coping mechanism and also he’s a little dumb because no one ever taught him otherwise or gave him the time of day), it’s more like he’s JUST like that. He’s incredibly short sighted/narrow minded. Spending the entire war blowing up entire battlefields for fun (he didn’t kill anyone, sure, but he didn’t help anyone either) just to fight with his friend knowing he’s going to deny all overtures of peace? Yes, Hashirama will survive the battle, but his clansmen won’t. He’s striving for peace so the children can have better lives but… his method is so… terrible. He’s just not the brightest bulb even if he has good intentions. So, malewife, super powerful, idealistic.
Mito - cant say I know her incredibly well but I know she’s incredibly smart (her little chakra diamond thing on her head already displays a sort of forward thinking Hashirama is incapable of) which is a different kind of powerful but powerful nonetheless, she’s Uzushio’s princess so… take from that what you will, I just think it further pushes her need to be intelligent to be able to survive being royalty.
Madara - right, Tired DadTM means like Madara is always so worried about his brother and his clan mates. He is driven by the need to protect them, something that typically male animals in nature have in common: the NEED to protect what is theirs. Madara is smart, sure, but more than that he’s incredibly powerful (Mokuton alone puts Hashirama leagues above the rest of the ninja world, to be able to compete with that and survive without the god ex-machina that is Mokuton is quite the testament to Madara’s abilities as a ninja) Madara doesn’t care about peace for peace’s sake but rather for his clan and family’s sake (which is why it’s all the more detrimental when peace is achieved but when the main reason he worked towards it is gone, Madara drifts astray)
Tobirama: my beloved. He’s an idiot but he’s the smartest man in the room ALWAYS. Where his brother will always be stronger (and coincidentally the strongest ever), Tobirama is a genius. (Jutsu creation is NOT an easy feat, much less what is essentially teleportation via what amounts to scribbles of ink of paper) while Hashirama got to live in his happy little bubble of “ooh like at the nice boy I met at the river I’m sure nothing could go wrong there!” and “I am guaranteed the seat of power because of my status of clan head’s first son and mokuton wielder” Tobirama got none of the above. A weirdo in every sense (albino, freakishly intelligent, lacking in a few moral codes that keep most other people from fucking with mortality (which, yes, was a coping mechanism from his brothers dying in his childhood but not the point)), Tobirama has a completely different worldview than his brother. When they do achieve peace, Tobirama focuses on his brother’s goal more than his own brother: peace for the children. While Tobirama, war-traumatized and just a little socially inept, goes about it in the worst way it is still the only way he knows. He adopts all the strays and nurtures them to the point where they won’t NEED protection (in animals, this is typically the female’s role *hint hint*) ((how well his methods work is also debateable *COUGH COUGH* danzo *COUGH COUGH*)) oh and the family of choice thing referred to his band of gremlins from different clans
If you’re the type of person to say “ToBiRaMa WaS rAcIsT” then I know you have never experienced true racism in your life. I am a queer gender-fluid (most often perceived as a woman, idfc) person of color who has experienced ALL SORTS of -isms and -phobias, don’t tell me your male anime characters (WHO ARE ALL THE SAME RACE) are being RACIST to each other when they LITERALLY CANNOT BE. Was Tobirama particularly prejudiced and bigoted towards a specific clan? Yes. 100%. Was it justified? That is up to the reader to decide (((a little))). Was he racist? Go fuck yourself.

🌑If we would consider the era he was born in, I can definitely see that traditions are a lot more sacred than they would be later on. Especially within a clan as feared and big as the Uchiha clan there are values and traditions that neither you nor him can fully avoid. One of those is most likely the ancient tradition of waiting until the wedding night to consummate the marriage to its fullest. Whilst Madara obviously thinks highly of his clan, I do think that he may just be tempted at times to mess with such an old custom at times, especially since the eldest of the Uchiha clan will probably be very adamant to have him do as the clan has always done. Messing with those old geezers at times is just quite amusing and he additionally gets to enjoy your flustered face by getting rough with you by making out with you. Yet he never goes further than that as he still decides to value the traditions of his clan. It's not like you are going anywhere as soon the vows of marriage will tie you two together.
🌑He does his clan proud by savouring the wedding night with you fully until you are too exhausted to even form a single sentence anymore and the only word leaving your mouth will be his name. Hours upon hours he finally claims what is now rightfully his and he's quite pleased to know that this will be one of many times where he gets to rail you as passionately into the sheets as he does now. Passion is quite a good word to use for him though as he is like this when expressing his feelings in non-sexual as well as sexual ways. So you can fully expect to have many nights with him just as passionately and fierce as during your first time with him. Especially if we consider that as the head of the Uchiha clan, he is expected to keep an intimidating composure in public which at times prevents him from expressing his love fully to you so as soon as there are no watchful eyes with expectations, he is fully prepared to express all of his feelings to you.
🌑Madara is the dominant part within the relationship in all aspects though and that also includes the bedroom activities. Madara can be quite lovable to you though despite the intimidating image many outsiders tend to have of him. That of course only if he is in a good mood but honestly, if him and his darling are on good terms there will be a lot of teasing and bickering going on and he will allow it. You can run your mouth a tad bit, he enjoys it if you can spit some searing lines and have a snarky demeanor because that makes it all the more enoyable to rail you out of your mind and watch you falling apart with every thrust of his. Not so smart now, are we? What can be a quite enjoyable and warm experience can feel very cold and possessive if Madara should be in a bad mood as he can use sex also as a mean to show you to whom you belong if you shouldn't behave yourself in which case his words can be icy and condescending as he comments how you could never be with another one as he has shaped your insides already so perfectly to only fit him perfectly.
🌑Speaking if his size, he is well endowed down there and he most likely knows that too. He isn't necessarily tall if we're talking about his body height but I do think that if his darling would be smaller than him, he would definitely develop a size kink and would enjoy the potential panic whenever having your smaller build pressed beneath him. He also enjoys potential panic you might express whenever you feel worried about how he'll fit his cock inside of you even if you shouldn't be that much smaller than him. It never gets old for him as he jokingly likes to remind you that you've taken him before and that you will do it again as many times as he desires. Do Madara the favor of being as vocal as you can, maybe even to the point where people outside the bedroom can hear you and know just how good of a husband he is for you. Madara on the other hand doesn't want to be too loud by comparison although he groans and grunts a lot throughout the long sessions which last quite a while.
🌑Whilst he is not going to admit it out loud, Madara has a thing for your hands tugging at his hair during sex. His hair is his pride and he has to take excellent care of it to maintain his mane of black hair so he enjoys even under normal circumstances if you appreciate it. It's quite different though if you do it whilst his shaft is buried deep inside of your pulsing walls and his whole body is already filled with sparks of pleasure as the sensation of your fingers pulling at his wild locks of hair and your nails scratching his head just hits different and only enhances the pleasure he's already experiencing in that moment. His position demands at times a lot of him and it can get somewhat exhausting and frustrating for him at times in which case he can blow off some steam wonderfully with you. Madara is traditional enough to use only one hole of yours most of the times, though at times he also enjoys seeing you kneeling in front of him with tears in your eyes, his hands entangled in your hair whilst forcing your head to bop back and forth as you do your best to not choke on his size.
🌑Most of his precious cum gets dumped into your womb though as Madara has a desire to get you pregnant. Not only is he the head of his clan and for that is expected to have a strong heir to succeed him but besides those expectations other members of his clan have on him, he just has the simple wish of having a few kids with the person he loves. Not only would it tie you to him forever but it would also be quite adorable to have some children to raise with you and make them into strong and proud members of his clan. Your pregnancy and all the transformations your body would go through during that time would be low-key a bonus since he'd probably find your changed body with all the extra curves and weight quite attractive as all those changes are caused because your body is carrying his baby. He'd even want to show you off to others more during your pregnancy just to let them see how much you're glowing whilst expecting his baby.

I heard there were rumors about Naruto being developed into seinen after Shippuden. Wouldn't that have been wonderful? I think it was such a wasted opportunity for another amazing experience. We wouldn't have any child marriages, or that recycled bs Boruto. And a challenge for Kishimoto. Although I am not sure about that last one, he kind of lost the plot towards the end there.
But even so, what a wasted opportunity.
What's your take? What could have been the implications of that?
Am just going to take this ask as an heartful rant!!!!!! 😊😊😊😊
Just because of this ask, I decided to dig deeper into his past interviews and found things that even confirmed my opinions even stronger.
Damn you!!!! Kishimoto!!!!
Thanks to you @sneezemonster15 🤩🤩🤩. LOL. Because When your speculation becomes true, you will experience some satisfaction which is immeasurable.
[[Anything I am going to cite from an old interview, after this line of the post is something I got to knew only today. Which means I never knew about these interviews before. Probably SNS shippers knew about these long back but to me it’s a new thing.]]
I heard there were rumors about Naruto being developed into seinen after Shippuden. Wouldn't that have been wonderful?
I never heard of such development and even if they do, they already did a lot of damage in the name of Boruto. And I don't think they can tell anymore story after Shippuden in a convincing way.
For me, Shippuden is in and of itself looks like a big seinen based Manga because I believe there were certain themes which were told in part 2 that are simply not suitable for a 12 year old to comprehend. Even I was overwhelmed by such plots because it really questioned my world view.
I mean, what can a 12 year old understand about Hatred or World peace which Nagato planned to implement or Itachi's pain? Yeah, there may be very few who could understand but majority don’t and hence we could see some part of fandom who still thinks ‘Sasuke should have left alone and made to start a new Village as a Revolution, or he should’ve destroyed Konoha to dust’. Any mature audience who consumed various media and have a broad world view would never spout such nonsense. Because the real world wouldn't work that way.
he kind of lost the plot towards the end there.
He didn’t actually. I believe he was made to create that Kaguya plot as a thread to continue Borutoverse. It may not be his idea. I am just speculating. Because Kishi is a damn genius in dropping threads much earlier in the story.
Example, Uchiha Madara.
When Sasuke and Naruto battled in VoTE1, I was wondering about the statues as to who might they be?. Then Kakashi slightly hinted us that the statues represents the men who created Konoha, but they were fighting until the very end for some reason. Similar to how Naruto and Sasuke fought there. And when Madara’s name was dropped for the first time when Sasuke suppressed Kurama, it just got only better.
So, I think Kaguya was a plot which was created right when Naruto was decided to pair up with Hinata and have a baby who will lead the Next Generation. When the series was going on and on about Sharingan, all of a sudden it took a U-Turn towards Byakugan. I was like, ‘Who the fuck cares about Byakugan anyway?’
Then it all made sense after looking at the abomination called ‘Boruto’, where all the Aliens were seen having Byakugan. So, It feels like he lost the plot. But I really think he was forced to.
So far, whatever I wrote till now was my observation.
That Damn Kishimoto gave an interview long back which proved my hunch right.
Tumblr media
So, You see, he was never interested in a sequel series to happen. He was just forced to.
Do you know what was the real ending he aimed for?
In many of my posts, I wrote about how SNS was a carefully constructed bond which Kishimoto paid a lot of attention to. I mean, there’s no way we can call the chapter 698 as a Retconned one. Every clues and hints were already there.
It seems that the bastard confessed about this 15 years ago, in 2006 Shonen Jump Interview and again in 2015 NYCC comic con.
He didn’t talk about Ships and shits in any of these interviews. He already planned the ending long back when he finished Part 1. The ending with Naruto and Sasuke doing Reconciliation Seal with Hashirama and Madara statues by visualizing everything into details and that too in freaking 2006.
[[Click the picture to see the full view]]
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Reconciliation of Naruto and Sasuke was something Kishi planned long back after finishing part 1. He even visualized all the panels in detail and that's the ending he was striving towards.
It seems, he never planned about pairings and stuffs ahead as many shippers would like to claim. I am not saying he planned SNS as the endgame couple either. But I honestly think, Kishi wished for an ending similar to Chapter 699. Like without any pairing trash, finishing off with Naruto and Sasuke sharing their dreams and hopes together.
And this is what I’ve been screaming in all my posts... That I speculate, I guess, I believe and so many similar words... that Kishi always wanted to finish with Chapter 699 and Chapter 700 feels like an afterthought.
But anyways, with Studio persuaded him into pair up his Main Characters, he was asked to write Boruto Script for one last time and it seems, that’s the only movie where he wrote the entire screenplay from A to Z. He said that Boruto movie is the ‘Pinnacle of his career’. Does it mean, ‘The Last’ movie was not his pinnacle, eh???
And what do I always scream about Boruto series in every posts?
That I feel like Naruto and Sasuke seems to Babysit Boruto like a parent.
And that’s what he wanted to finish as the last chapter of Naruto.
Tumblr media
I mean throughout the movie, there were no trace of Hinata and Sakura playing any major role in their Child’s life, instead Sasuke is seen talking fondly about Naruto to his Son, I mean Naruto’s Son. So, If he envision drawing 2 guys taking care of a child as the last chapter, then what was he trying to say?
This Kishimoto is just too sinister!!!
And it seems, he dissed ‘The Last’ movie subtly in his own words. Like almost he claims he had no part in that movie. Well, I always had my doubt regarding that movie. Never expected Kishi would say this.
Couple of days ago, I made a post about, how Kishi never gave 2 fucks about Sakura from the beginning. I analyzed that post based on my observation by carefully reading through panels in the initial chapters and his motivations to draw the panel in a certain way. That gave me an idea of what Kishi’s style of designing a character. I never knew about this Interview thing, when I wrote that post.
It seems, in an Interview, he pretty much confirmed my view about him.
Tumblr media
Kishi’s assistant was posed with a question, ‘How every character, no matter how bad they are, gets redeemed in some way?’
To which he answered, ‘Before even making a first appearance, Kishi will lay out how he wants the character to be, what it’s personality traits are, what was it about to do.’
So, Kishi really never planned to make Sakura redeemable. Her fate was sealed when she unveiled her grand dream in chapter 4 before her teammates.
What I would like to conclude is,
Kishi developing anything after Shippuden will not have his full heart. So, that development based on Seinen may not be true.
Kishi planned Chapter 698 long back when he completed Part 1. He even visualized every panels about how it is going to be. So, probably Chapter 699 is where Kishi intended to end the series. Hence, the abomination you were made to see in Boruto is not his idea.
He never planned about pairings unless he was asked to. Hinata was the popular one and he just went with it. It’s not like he always intended for Naruto to end up with Hinata.
Tumblr media
When he was asked to write a story about Boruto, he envisioned Boruto movie as the final chapter of Naruto series, if only he had the opportunity to draw this as a manga. In this movie, Naruto became an Hokage, Sasuke is a Shadow Hokage, Naruto’s son was adopted by Sasuke. Hinata and Sakura were the bench warmers.
It seems to me that Kishi somehow wants to place Naruto and Sasuke as the face of this series towards the end. He knew that he can't make them as an official couple and when things didn't go as he planned he made them into an unofficial couple who takes cares of a boy with all the care.
Geez!!! I wish I were wrong😏😏😏😏. But all these interviews proves that I was right about many things without even realizing it was there.
