Our stories aren’t the same, but maybe we can understand eachother regardless.

Here it is! Oh my goodness this took FOREVER but I’m really happy with the result (especially the cover!) I wanted to make a small comic exploring John’s boundaries and baby steps in trust and comfort, Caro’s transition, and how much things have changed in the many years they were apart before reconnecting. There’s always going to be new things when there’s almost a decade between the last time you saw someone. For some reason I decided it needed to be full color. Anyway enjoy this tender moment disguised as a thirst trap. ✨

I think this little life snippet stands alone, but of course if you want to know more about them, they are side characters in my webcomic Seemingly Dark, and the mains in my webcomic Mil-Liminal, both can be read on Webtoon and Tapas.

I need some Inuyasha as a great father (more like DILF, amirite?) headcanons, can you help me out?

I'm here to serve!

• It isn’t until they’re happily married for at least one or two years that the possibility of children are brought up.

• At first, they took that time to relearn each other, enjoy their company and make the honeymoon phase last a little long. They did spend three years apart, after all. There’s so much time to make up for, so many catching up to do before they’d even think to throw a kid into the mix. Plus, being a modern woman, Kagome would know how to avoid pregnancy the best her new circumstances allowed and how important that time alone is for a newly-married couple.

• They never actually had the child talk because Kagome just assumed that’s where their relationship would naturally lead to, given her motherly tendencies and Inuyasha’s history of ultimately giving her everything she wants. For his part, Inuyasha knew she wanted to be a mother someday and he'd be lying if he said he never indulged the fantasy of fathering her children. However, he has serious trouble wrapping his mind around the idea that, in reality, Kagome would still be up for it if he were to be the father. He could never dare to ask of her more than she has already given him. Be that as it may, it was not a big deal because it was not a dealbreaker. Nothing was.

• But with time, Kagome would have noticed how good Inuyasha is with Hisui and the Mirsan twins. How his relationship with Shippo had developed from a sibling banter to a makeshift paternal relationship. How people like Shiori and Bunza would look up to him like he was some kind of movie hero. How every kid in the village seemed to adore him despite his grumpy demeanor.

• And Inuyasha would have noticed the way Kagome would look at him whenever he so much as interacted with a child, the way her smell would spike significantly.

• She, of course, was the one to make the first move, jumping him one night, after they had spend the whole day stuck with babysitting the Mirsan children and popping the question.

• Inuyasha was relutant. There was a part of him that was adamant on making her happy and even believed having babies would make him happy too. On the other hand, he was terrified. Terrified of how her body would react to childbirth, of if her spiritual powers would accept his demonic energy. But mostly, about what would happen once the baby was born. The last thing he wanted was for Kagome to go through everything his mother had to go through. Or for another kid to face the same prejudice he did. Besides, he grew up with no father figure whose steps he could follow. He didn’t know how to be a father.

• Kagome assures him that they won’t have a baby until they’re both ready and on the same page, that they have time and that Inuyasha will be a great father.

• Inuyasha believes her.

• Then it is him felling some type of way whenever he sees Kagome around kids. And something deep inside desperately wishes to find out what would their children look like, what would it be like to hold and take care of someone born from their love.

• Finally, he caves.

• Inuyasha wants a big family, considering how lonely his childhood was. Kagome finds it pivotal for their first-born to have a sibling, since she had Sota and their relationship was one of the most important things in her life. That’s why they’d have two children minimum, preferably a boy and a girl. However, giving how dangerous and uncomfortable childbirth can be, especially without the perks the modern era provides, I don’t think they’d have more than three.

• Naturally, Inuyasha relies on Miroku for advice and the latter is more helpful than not. Except for the times Inuyasha asks or says something that makes it way too easy for Miroku to mess with him. Like the time he told Inuyasha that if he doesn’t get Kagome whatever food she craves while pregnant, the baby will be born looking exactly like that food. And Inuyasha believed him.

• And if you thought Inuyasha was protective of Kagome before... oh boy! He’d be almost overbearing, but Kagome would see it as endearing. Most of the time. Sometimes, though, a woman has got to have her privacy. He also becomes more attentive, more gentle, sweeter.

• After their first child is born, Inuyasha gets a makeover of sorts. He’s always borrowing the Fire Rat to Kagome and the baby anyway, so he figured it’d be more practical to just pass the clothes on to them already and get something new for himself.

• It’s white.

• Inuyasha becomes taller, stronger. And often lets Kagome experiment with his hair with braids, top nots... and ponytails.

• Old Myoga is the first one to notice the resemblance. And it’s true. He’s the spitting image of Toga. Former enemies and allies often mistaken him for Toga and Kagome thinks the look on their (and Inuyasha’s) face is hilarious.

• Sesshoumaru does not care for it (I stole this one from @heavenin--hell).

• Inuyasha hates his human nights even more because now his vulnerability also means he might not be able to protect his family as he usually would (Together Changed by @goshinote and @lostinfantasyworlds inspired this one). Plus, the black hair and lack of dog ears confuses the baby, who cries and fusses for a good while until realizing it is, in fact, Inuyasha holding them (this one I saw in an adorable fanart I can’t find).

• But since he needs way less sleeping than humans and he spends the New Moons up anyway, Inuyasha gets a lot of quality time with their infant at night, which allows Kagome to actually get a good night sleep unless the baby is hungry.

• The Beads of Subjugation get dooled and chewed on. A lot.

• A little contest takes place between Kagome and Inuyasha about what the first word of their first child would be, with Kagome going for “dada” and Inuyasha going for “mama.”

• Kagome wins.

• Inuyasha’s fighting style changes. He still says some snarky remarks, but now it’s more to push his opponent‘s buttons down so they would get sloppy than anything else. After all, he has a child to think about and provide for now. He doesn’t have the luxury of gambling with his life anymore. He has a home to come back to and therefore won’t be taking any chances (credit to @born-for-eachother for this one).

• And so he becomes more lethal on the battle field. Pragmatic. Objective. Calculating. Decisive. Cold blooded. Much like... Sesshomaru.

• He had never been more offended on his life than the day Sango pointed this out to him.

• When the kids grow up a bit, Inuyasha and Kagome start to tell them bedtime stories, with the PG version of the story about how the met and defeated Naraku being their favorite.

• Kagome tries to be a reliable and calm narrator while Inuyasha exaggerates the events and the voices, almost always breaking objects of their house in the process.

• After hearing one too many times about the Beads of Subjugation, their child tries to “sit” Inuyasha. Of course it doesn’t work, but he still makes a big deal out of throwing himself on the ground every time they say the word just to hear them laugh.

• The first actual toy Inuyasha buys them is a ball, just like the one he had as a kid, at the same time accomplishing a childhood wish through them and ensuring that they would always have someone to play with.

• Kagome is more protective of their physical state while Inuyasha is more protective of their emotional one (see Fist Fight by @omgitscharlie)

• Inuyasha goes to Totosai and asks him to make a weapon out of one of his fangs to each of their children once they get old enough for it. Not necessarily a sword, just something of their choice and that better fits their personality.

• He would be a just father, doing his best to show no favoritism, treat his children equally and make sure no one felt overlooked or unloved.

• But truth be told, if one of their babies turn out to be a daughter, he would definitelly let her get away with almost anything, no matter how much of a gremlin she is. Daddy’s little girl would have him wrapped around her tiny fingers.

• Life never treated Inuyasha kindly. From a very young age, it was kill or be killed. It wouldn't be too far off for him to think the exact same thing could happen with his kids, therefore he tries to prepare them, to tough them up so they can take it.

• And I believe this sentiment would be significantly amplified with a son, because it would involve the whole “suck it up”, “men don’t cry” and “man of the house” aspect of it. The “it is your duty to protect your mother and sister when I’m gone” too, especially because he couldn’t protect Izayoi himself.

• It’s “tough love”, but it’s love nonetheless. And in the right dose, which I believe Inuyasha manages to nail, it can be very important for one’s development and growth.

• But it’s hard to imagine him being as tough with a daughter. Probably because he sees so much of Kagome on her that the mere idea of seeing her cry simply breaks him.

• Kagome would actually have to step in when it comes to disciplining and saying “no”, because he simply wouldn’t have it in him to do so.

There’s actually a really nice post by @keichanz I reblogged a while ago discussing precisely that, but I can’t find it to save my life (should I start to properly tag my reblogs? No, it’s a lot of work and I’m right not to).

HELLOO BESTIE, dealing with a breakup here so can i get a uhhhh urie/shirazu angst?? mayhaps??

I’m so sorry you’re dealing with that bestie just remember that you’re lovely and even the worst garbage feelings are temporary. And I absolutely vibe with that Shirazu and Urie angst that catharsis pogs

These two have never been in a relatrelationship before, so they have to learn as they go, understandably there’s some bumps along the way.

They approach it very differently since they have different ideas of what a relationship is. Shirazu thinks of it as something that should come naturally without problems, that they should both be happy and agree with eachother without effort. Urie thinks of it as an engagement with a strict timeline of what to do, when to go on dates and how to act around him and when it’s appropriate to do what. They assume the other thinks of it the same way they do, and fail to communicate about their needs or expectations

Shirazu finds that he’s giving up a lot to make Urie happy. Whenever he comments that something Ginshi does is annoying or something he wants to do is a waste of time, he stops doing it. A food he likes here, a night out there, sacrifice is normal right?

Urie finds that he doesn’t feel relaxed as much anymore now that they’ve started dating. When they were friends it was chill, but now there’s all these expectations. Dates should happen 1-3 times every three weeks, the average couple considers marriage in two years, he should always look attractive when Shirazu is around. It’s another job in itself, but a relationship is supposed to be work right?

Shirazu finds that Urie has gotten stiff and more inflexible when it comes to plans and is unwilling to sacrifice when he’s doing something he doesn’t like. Urie finds that Shirazu isn’t following the right timeline for when dates should be and how close they should be. It gets grating as they put in effort into what they believe is right and it seems that the other isn’t putting in that same effort. They don’t talk about it, they just assume that they’re trying and their partner isn’t

One day, they both weren’t feeling great already, but they had a night out scheduled. Ginshi suggested that since they already had a long day and neither were up to it, they just stay home and do it another day, and Urie snapped. He went into a whole tirade about how he never puts in the work to follow through with the right plans and didn’t care about how much effort he put into making those plans. Shirazu snapped as well in response, that he doesn’t want a whole plan, he just wants an equal give and take but most of the time he’s the one giving. They didn’t talk about anything constructive, they just fought for awhile before storming off back to their rooms

For awhile, they didn’t talk. Once the anger died down, they let it sink in that their partner doesn’t know what they want, and they don’t understand what their partner wants. They tried to avoid eachother for awhile. Urie works out even more than usual, Ginshi tries to focus on fixing everything that needs fixing in the house. Shirazu assumes that when they talk again, Urie is going to break up with him since if they’re fighting, clearly that means they aren’t working out. Urie assumes that when they talk again, Shirazu will break up with him now that he knows that he doesn’t know how to date someone. They let it eat at them for days until people start to notice

Mutsuki finds Ginshi still trying to repair the AC at 3 am. He goes to tell him to just go to sleep and do it tomorrow but Shirazu is foggy eyes and isn’t looking great, and not just sleep deprived. They talk, and Shirazu finally admits what happened between him and Urie and breaks down a bit. Tooru tells him that he by no means knows how to navigate a partnership like that, but he needs to talk to his boyfriend, it’s only going to get worse if he keeps imagining the worst case scenario.

Urie doesn’t talk to anyone, he just gets more reclusive and rude to anyone who attempts to talk to him.

Shirazu finds Urie in the kitchen the next night, and confronts him. It starts slow, Urie still snappy and passive aggressive, and Shirazu trying to be overly civil to hide how nervous he is until he snaps once again to tell him that he doesn’t want him to break up with him but he doesn’t know what to do. It finally gets through to Urie that it’s not over, they just don’t understand where to go from there

It’s a long conversation and slow going. Urie shares that he’s working on a timeline and rule set based on things he’s gotten from looking up averages about relationships online since he’s never had anyone to talk to about it. Shirazu shares that he thinks he’s supposed to give up everything Urie doesn’t like so he’ll stay with him. It really sinks in that neither of them are approaching this in a very healthy way, but they still do want to be together.

They take it slow and it’s uncomfortable. Ginshi goes back to doing things that Urie doesn’t always like, Urie stops trying to schedule everything and being stiff whenever they interact. It’s a lot of them trying to understand that they should be able to relax around the other, and it’s filled with insecurity over all the things they now aren’t giving up or covering, but they assure eachother that it’s fine. A lot of what Urie had a problem with really wasn’t a problem, and a lot of what Ginshi was annoyed by was posturing that Urie had heard he was supposed to do to assert himself as his boyfriend.

It’s unlearning unhealthy dynamics they’d gotten from being raised around unstable relationships or a lack of socialization, and relearning what they actually want and are comfortable with. They get to the point where they don’t feel rejected when the other needs space or they can change plans when they no longer feel up to them, and it’s worth it in the end. They were really just lucky that they had support from the Quinx squad and were in a place where they could navigate it together

Counterpart pathways

A magical filled fantasy realm where all is possible including the bad. One summer day a incubus/demon hybrid named Jona, father of three, learns someone has kidnapped all three of his boys! He's on the hunt for clues and finding them at all costs. Gathering the best crew possible of Moof the best wolf bounty hunter in all the realm, Bell the boys spider caretaker shapeshifter, and Glover the bull/bison hybrid the green alchemist, set off to find the children. Along the way by gathering clues they encounter obstacles and trials of skill and pursuit! Will they ever find the three octopus babies ? Will Jona have closure and put on a shirt? Will Bell ever stop stealing everything shiny? Will Moof grow more confident in his teammates? Will Glover not stop shaking and being such a wuss? Who will help this odd 4 on their epic abnormal quest?!

Puddles

A time traveler that gets stuck in between dimensions due to their powers temporarily weakened from the extensive work they've been doing end up meeting a stranger who takes them in. Not used to the timeline they shows up in, they have to knowledge of normal behavior. They must figure out a way to recharge their abilities but has not of the slightly clue as to what it causing them to have lost them in the first place. Is the person that's helping them good or evil? Who's side are they on? How will they figure them out? Why do they find the stranger oddly familiar?

When men become mortal

An alien/robot/human species that survives by using different masks/chips for various occasions. It's like buying different clothes but they adapt or transform the hoist for a month or less of another body/form/identity. The main character experiences a technical difficulty where their head socket cannot adapt to a new face for long and has to get it repaired. Though along the way he seems to find that not wearing a false identity they actually enjoy seeing the outside world with no expectation of appearance. The other is a identity artist, the one whom develops different faces and identity. He spends hours tweaking details of bodies and faces. He always has the nicest things because of his work and from important commissions and work for certain clients.They meet at a gallery that the artist is hoisting at a museum. The individuals there are decorated like some of the model pieces and others artist curators-part sellers. The faceless one decides to go to the museum to see what's or who's being showcased and since he has a little bit of extra money he saved up for the occasion. Everyone finds him interesting since he doesn't have an appearance, they think he's a model. Thus they send him to meet with the artist for the show. The artist doesn't know him at all. They find eachother very different but most parts similar. From their meeting the artist gets inspired by his original face. Coming to realize that even himself that he has given into the world he never wanted to.The two of them hit it off. Both dwelling into the matters of the "perfect" vessel. Asking the serious questions such as what makes a body, a face, a soul attractive? They go on for hours and it starts to inspire the artists work into his new resorted craftsmanship. The faceless impressed by the purposed questions and also work. The two of them grow closer resulted from talking so much about bodies and meaning. All the while testing out the new creations, body parts, and vessels capabilities. Not all though is good while the two develop this hoist. There's a villain at hand who one of the artist's main clients that goes unsuspected. They want to use the designs to create a vessel for the bad and wealth. Only to include to kill off all humans.The two of them hit it off. Both dwelling into the matters of the "perfect" vessel. Asking the serious questions such as what makes a body, a face, a soul attractive? They go on for hours and it starts to inspire the artists work into his new resorted craftsmanship. The artist informs the robot that the hybrids (the children of the robot-species, generations of offspring) are the real threat to society. The one who hoists and is in charge of the power sorce is human and machine. The first of its kind, and also the previous mentor of the artist/ex-scientist. Who will get to the power source first. Our main dynamic couple or the robotic uprising that believe all humans should cease to exist once and for all?

The city was a work in process for a resort city, and a major violent storm came too early taking out some of the fancier parts of the island. Most of the higher end houses and mansions were believed to be damaged in the outer edges of the island. There had been a castle built as a main part of the hotel/resort. Old costumes, sets, mascots were left to rot by the seas breeze. Barnacles, ivy, and vines with exotic flora and fauna growing wildly cover the buildings. Possibly even growing in the mansion and other houses. The main part of the biker gang is in a abandoned church next to the sea caves is where the biker gang mostly resides and work primarily as hit men and women. The island would be decided by the two head family of vampires one powerful family versus the other in over control if the current situation of resort in the actual tourist location.A rambunctious gang of young cryptics disguise themselves as human during the daytime but during the night it's quite the time to be alive and young. Various story arcs of love and lust between the group members figuring out their own sexualities and forming adulthood. Puddles

A time traveler that gets stuck in between dimensions due to their powers temporarily weakened from the extensive work they've been doing end up meeting a stranger who takes them in. Not used to the timeline they shows up in, they have to knowledge of normal behavior. They must figure out a way to recharge their abilities but has not of the slightly clue as to what it causing them to have lost them in the first place. Is the person that's helping them good or evil? Who's side are they on? How will they figure them out? Why do they find the stranger oddly familiar?

An alien/robot/human species that survives by using different masks/chips for various occasions.

It's like buying different clothes but they adapt or transform the hoist for a month or less of another body/form/identity.

The main character experiences a technical difficulty where their head socket cannot adapt to a new face for long and has to get it repaired. Though along the way he seems to find that not wearing a false identity they actually enjoy seeing the outside world with no expectation of appearance.

The other is a identity artist, the one whom develops different faces and identity. He spends hours tweaking details of bodies and faces. He always has the nicest things because of his work and from important commissions and work for certain clients.

They meet at a gallery that the artist is hoisting at a museum. The individuals there are decorated like some of the model pieces and others artist curators-part sellers.

The faceless one decides to go to the museum to see what's or who's being showcased and since he has a little bit of extra money he saved up for the occasion. Everyone finds him interesting since he doesn't have an appearance, they think he's a model. Thus they send him to meet with the artist for the show.

The artist doesn't know him at all. They find eachother very different but most parts similar. From their meeting the artist gets inspired by his original face. Coming to realize that even himself that he has given into the world he never wanted to.

The two of them hit it off. Both dwelling into the matters of the "perfect" vessel. Asking the serious questions such as what makes a body, a face, a soul attractive? They go on for hours and it starts to inspire the artists work into his new resorted craftsmanship. The faceless impressed by the purposed questions and also work. The two of them grow closer resulted from talking so much about bodies and meaning. All the while testing out the new creations, body parts, and vessels capabilities.

Thus forces the artist to reveal his true identity. A human being. Not a hologram. Plus he's not just an artist but a ex-con scientist from the labs that have bloomed into a internalized war. Faceless becomes confused and also hurt that the artist to mention this. Only for the two of them being followed.

The artist informs the robot that the hybrids (the children of the robot-species, generations of offspring) are the real threat to society. The one who hoists and is in charge of the power sorce is human and machine. The first of its kind, and also the previous mentor of the artist/ex-scientist.

Who will get to the power source first. Our main dynamic couple or the robotic uprising that believe all humans should cease to exist once and for all?

The city was a work in process for a resort city, and a major violent storm came too early taking out some of the fancier parts of the island. Most of the higher end houses and mansions were believed to be damaged in the outer edges of the island. There had been a castle built as a main part of the hotel/resort. Old costumes, sets, mascots were left to rot by the seas breeze. Barnacles, ivy, and vines with exotic flora and fauna growing wildly cover the buildings. Possibly even growing in the mansion and other houses. The main part of the biker gang is in a abandoned church next to the sea caves is where the biker gang mostly resides and work primarily as hit men and women. The island would be decided by the two head family of vampires one powerful family versus the other in over control if the current situation of resort in the actual tourist location.

A rambunctious gang of young cryptics disguise themselves as human during the daytime but during the night it's quite the time to be alive and young.

Scott and Stiles weren’t sandbox buddies after all...

I came to a realization earlier, and because of @youfancymemaddearie I'm about to inflict it upon all of you

Scott and Stiles didn't know eachother when Claudia died

Now to some this isn't surprising, but to most the assumption is that they've been freinds since diapers, Dylan's origin story for the Sciles freindship is that  Stiles peed on Scott's sandcastle one day at the beach and then boom, bros! I always took that as a headcanon, alot of people do, but it isn't possible, there are plenty of hints about it canon but now we finally have SOLID. PROOF. that they've known eachother for at most, five years, and I'm about to explain why, but first, we have to remember Teen Wolf's timeline, since it might be hard to keep track otherwise:

Claudia died in November, 2004- Stiles was nine

Paige died in November, 2004

The Hale fire was in Januarary, 2005

Teen Wolf begins in Januarary of 2011

Scott and Stiles are sophmores in highschool in 2011, they're both 16

With that being said, onwards to our proof that Stiles and Scott didn't know eachother in 2004

In season six, the sheriff reveals that Stiles went by the name Mischeif until Claudia died, wich is when he switched to "Stiles", Scott is unaware of this

Weather Scott truly remembered Stiles at that point or not is under some debate, but we know that remembering Stiles' name is a big deal so if Scott had known Stiles as "Mischeif" he would have shown SOME sign of recognition, either when Lydia wrote it or when his father said it, but Scott looked pretty much like a deer in the headlights, hearing this for the first time, why would Scott have not recognized this as his best freind's name if they knew eachother back then?

Now to be fair, Lydia didn't recognize Stiles under the name Mischeif either, and we KNOW that the two of them knew eachother when he was younger, but they probably weren't freinds, and it's reasonable to believe that Lydia wouldn't remember the name of someone she barely- if ever- talked to when she was just a kid, it's NOT reasonable to believe that you wouldn't remember that your best freind used to go by a different name, mostly because you would remember having to go through the transition of calling them by their new name, sure, maybe Scott wouldn't remember that Stiles used to go by a different name if it was something he mentioned in passing, but if they were close freinds and Scott had to essentially relearn Stiles' name- LEARN to call him "Stiles" instead of "Mischeif", that would have made an impression big enough that Scott would have remembered it at some point

That means that the longest they could know eachother would be about seven years, but wait! There's more!

Scott mentions that he lived with his dad in 2004

and that they moved to Beacon Hills when he was 11-12

But wait, what about Stiles knowing Agent Asshole's secret? Why would he know that if he wasn't Scott's freind when it happened? Good question but an easy answer: His father is the sheriff- and one with loose lips at that

It would have put alot of stress on him, that incident, to learn that another lawman hurt his son like that, and Beacon Hills is a small town so it was probably not the sort of thing that happened often, it likely stuck with him and I'm sure Stiles just overheard the events, or hell, maybe the sheriff flat out told him at some point, either when he was drunk or tired or just... anything, after all it would be FAR from the first time that the sheriff let slip information his son shouldn't have

There's more to it too:

-Scott doesn’t remember the Hale fire, wich would make sense if he wasn’t present in 2005 when it happened

-Stiles mentions he had a boa constrictor one summer, implying Scott didn't know that, I HIGHLY doubt the sheriff would have let a first or second grader have a giant snake (I'm surprised he allowed it at all) so this was likely after Claudia died but before he met Scott

-Stiles mentions that he was babysat by atleast one of the deputies at one point, and with how at home he seems to be at the station it makes sense that he stayed at the station sometimes after Claudia died- meaning he easily could have found out about what happened to Scott wile he was there

-Stiles has relationships outside of Scott ... but not POST-Scott, this is admittedly sketchy because we're working mostly with charectors who don't have names but, everyone seems to know Stiles, wich makes sense as he's the sheriff's kid, and he's often seen socializing more and knowing more people in town than Scott is even aware of, this is most prominant in the first two seasons, especially season one*

*This doesn't mean it was Scott's fault that Stiles didn't have those freinds anymore, it's HIGHLY possible that he went through social hell after losing his mom or just plain because of middle school

Not sad enough yet? Realize this: If Scott didn't know Stiles when Claudia died, Melissa probably didn't either, wich explains why she always acted like Claudia's death was some distant thing she had never paid much mind to and part of why Melissa is very hot and cold with Stiles, we do get moments of warmth from her, like her taking care of him during 3B, but we also get some oddly cold moments too, especially in the beginning of season one when she assumes Stiles illegally made a key to their house instead of, you know, assuming Scott GAVE him a key, or in season five when the sheriff was shot and she couldn't be bothered to give him a hug or any words of encouragement or sympathy, long story short, Melissa and Stiles seem to be closer on STILES' behalf (as with pretty much all of his relationships) and not as much on Melissa's, this is no longer (in fandom) a kid she more or less raised, who she helped struggle through after his mom died and took under her wing, this is now a teenager her son met up with a few years ago who takes him on crazy adventures and comes into their house unannounced, and the "Affectionate" tough love we thought she was giving wasn't really that affectionate, just tough

This adds an entirely new layer to how Stiles acted when Scott pushed him aside for Allison, this is no longer just the best freind he's had all his life putting him second for once, this is yet another person possibly abandoning him, a person who he HASN'T had for over a decade, who DIDN'T struggle with him through his mom's death, and who really never gave Stiles any proof that he  WOULDN'T take off when it was convenient like Stiles' other freinds did, Stiles wasn't just jealous and angry over Allison- he was scared too

Now acknowledging that Stiles hasn't had Stiles as that 10+-year-long constant in his life, his abandonment issues make even MORE sense when they already made plenty to begin with, and perhaps most upsettingly of all, we get a hard slap in the face of just how fragile Stiles is emotionally, because, wile it isn't really unusual to develop such a close freindship in five years that you call someone your brother (I had a freind who I considered a sister after five years myself) to only know someone for that long and cling as hard as Stiles does to Scott- to consider Scott as closely and as deeply as Stiles does, and much more importantly, to express as much affection towards MELISSA as he has when he clearly hasn't known her as long or as well as we may have thought before, we see even more proof than we already had that Stiles is VERY desperate for love and affection, because, to be honest, for him to get as freaked out over the idea of going to a college far away from Scott as he did in 5A when he only knew Scott for around seven years at that point (versus closer to twelve like we thought) clinging that hard is ... almost frightening, no matter how much they've been through

Somehow, Teen Wolf manages to keep making Stiles more and more tragic, as if the poor boy wasn't tragic enough as it is (that's ok, I'll just go throw up now)

Stiles' issues are clearly immensely deep-seeded, and it makes each instance of him clinging, begging, or reaching for attention that much harder to watch, and it also continues to make the sudden 180 he does in the 6A finale' that much more suspicious as proof that the finale' was a fake- yeah, if you thought you were getting a Teen Wolf meta without THAT sneaking in there pre-6B you were sorely mistaken
