Some of you need to use your brains for a second on the Neil Gaiman accusations. You can talk all you like about how the accusations are "awfully convenient", the facts remain that:

a) by his own admission he had sex with women who were decades younger than him, and one woman who he employed. even if everything was legal, he's still a creep

b) he wrote the story "Snow, Glass, Apples", which went into extreme detail with the incest and pedophilia- with the father (as opposed to his six year old) being portrayed as the victim.

c) false accusers are incredibly rare, and several women have come forward on this

d) Neil Gaiman undoubtedly has a gigantic legal team, as most famous people do. why would you choose to open yourself up to a very easy lawsuit by printing false stories about him? and hence hurting your entire career/reputation as a journalist

Yes, obviously look at the evidence when more comes out. But in the meantime you have a moral responsibility to at least take women's accusations seriously. And a good chunk of the people I see reacting to this aren't meeting that bar

Am I the only one not blown away by the new Superman trailer? I mean I liked it, it's good. I had a lot of fun seeing Guy Gardener and Mr. Terrific, Krypto is adorable, and the actors for Lois and Clark certainly LOOK the part. But I guess I'm a bit spoiled by The Batman when I felt the cinematography didn't really deliver. Like, don't get me wrong, I love the bright colors, I think Man of Steel went in the complete wrong direction with the greys, and I know Superman isn't Batman they're completely different. But I did hope for some more stunning/artsy/bold imagery. This felt very- generic? TV show-esque? I don't know. I hope I'm wrong. As a Superman fan and film fan I hope I'm wrong.

Watching the Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 trailer again and I really hope I'm not right about how the story could possibly go. Could possibly be me just... expecting the worst, but in the end, the redhead woman seems to be alone in front of a pile of corpse (the members of the expedition 33 maybe?) so what if The Paintress is "needed" in a way? Like, you discover along the way that the painting of numbers is inevitable or something, to save the world or whatever reason, and the paintress always turns out to be the sole survivor of the previous expeditions?

It's the thinnest possible veneer of progressive language wrapped around TERF and reactionary rhetoric so that they can feel righteous for forming an angry mob against vulnerable targets. If you're gullible enough to fall for the newest wave of bigotry within the queer community, and turn on your allies because they're "confusing" or "invading your spaces," the SAME way they turned on bi/pan labels, trans people, xenogenders, neopronouns, and aroace people before this, then get lost.
