I love it when I unintentionally match with other idols,

Happy new years :D

I was looking around for people to do a promise in the New Year's coords with and I found @happyheartstar-blog and @moonlit-angel-serenity !

I think maybe @happyheartstar-blog didn't intend for this character to be in this coord though. Because they were playing as one character the first time I did it, but then I had to redo the promise because I hit the coord reflect button by accident! And then they were this character. Sorry!

I hate that I like alternative fashion(not just the colloquial use of the word, as in anything alternative from mainstream), because I want to wear ALL of them.

Currently my two main styles are my everyday(pretty normie) gay ™ button downs/patterned shirts and my vintage/history inspired clothing(I don’t have as much as I’d like but when I had longer hair, a wet set and red lip went a long way).

But I also DO like alt™ fashion. I know all the cultures are different but I think goth and a little bit of punk are the ones that interest me the most! I just love the alt look of it on other people and I want to see if I like on myself! I just feel like I really don’t know where to begin for the goth stuff. Also yes ,I know the culture is more than the clothing and I’m also interested in those parts too, this post is just focusing on fashion.

I’m also interested in Lolita fashion! I don’t think it’s something I’d do for everyday fashion, but I always keep coming back to it, so I’d love to try it out! Mostly what attracts me to the style is that I already like historical fashion, but I don’t know if there’s a particular sub style I’m interested in. I like when other people do Sweet but doesn’t feel like my vibe. I could maybe see myself doing goth Lolita or more classic/traditional Lolita. Though really, in my mind there’s only one coord idea that I want to do, but it doesn’t really fall neatly into any of the mainstream Lolita styles(I guess pirate would be the closest? there are some JSKs I’ve looked at that could fit my idea).

I also really want to get more into medieval/renaissance fair fashion or more piratey/vampire/vaguely 17th century fashion. I have my vintage style that I want to expand but I do want to play around with more time periods and different ways of modernizing them!

I actually really like my current styles but there’s so much I want to try.

In conclusion I WANT TO UNLOCK ALL THE FASHIONS!!!!!

Free will strikes again, these were some really fun doodles :3. I think Simon is allowed to be a little visual kei sometimes. Idk I just know he’d vibe with it. Explanations under a cut—

And also a couple unfinished doodles that were just intended to be rough pose/anatomy practice sketches, but ended up accidentally more detailed than intended 💀💀💀. It’s nothing graphic, but ⚠️slight artistic nudity warning⚠️ anyway in case d(>_< ).

Hehehe, this is based off of a photo from Malice Mizer live, it’s Simon in place of Mana and Fuma in place of Gackt. Very fun pose to draw!!! Especially cause it’s a pose with a whip and also cause idk why but I find poses with one or both arms up pretty easy to draw. And yeah yay, Fuma inclusion yippie :3!

I don’t have any other explanation for why this exists other than dresses are cool. So I made him one :D. The coord has a half caplet that connects to a shoulder paldron on the other shoulder by chain with a little cross. Under that there’s a blouse and skirt combo with patterns similar to his SQ armor and some rose thorn patterns around the ends of the sleeves and collar. Over that is a corset and under is a cage crinoline made to look like crosses peaking around the edge. Shoes carry outfit motifs like the roses on the bow tie and headdress and the lace throughout. Also, an eyepatch with cross on it because yeah, cute :3. I’d probably wear this if I had uh any skill in sewing at all (TwT ).

A not chibi version of the above outfit! Except probably without the crinoline with how the skirt fabric is sitting lol. Tbh I think Simon would probably be fine with this for a little bit and then get uncomfortable about having so many layers on. I don’t think he’d like tights at all 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀. Hmmm I’ll have to draw a version of it that’d be more comfortable for him hmm maybe tomorrow.

Simon facing off against his worst enemy: stairs! This one was practice drawing characters in backgrounds, since I’m so rusty at actually drawing those two things together (ToT ). I can draw a separate background fine, but the second I have to put someone in it I just completely forget what I’m doing XD.

This one is also a practice! He’s running up to the altar in Drac’s basement. The lighting was fun for this one, but I forgot to draw the whip in his hand 💀.

This one was an attempt at drawing a skeleton and keeping the same proportions in a drawing of someone (Simon) who is uh not a skeleton. Fun fact! It took me like 5 tries to get the skeleton to not just look like Papyrus Undertale cause holy heck do the skeletons from that game take a hold of some part of your art style and never let go 💀💀💀💀

CASTLEVANIA JUDGEMENT HAS HATS??? AS LIKE AN UNLOCKABLE?????????? So obviously I had to draw Simon (x2) with the bow options. Pink probs looks really nice with his hair tbh. And the striped bow was black and white so it fits with the Judgement design’s outfit. If I ever actually play this game again (I suck so bad at it), I’ll be trying to get these for the very important reason of Simon cute. :3

Ok now these two. The first one was a different attempt at that Mana pose, but a bigger scale and a bit less exaggerated. I ended up having to do a ton of edits to it cause I kept making things too big or too small lol. And the second one is just a couple dynamic posing practices. They’re also excuses to draw more arm up poses cause they’re fun X3. He was just supposed to have like a generic placeholder rectangle er um uh there, but some of the sketchy lines ended up looking like what’s supposed to be in that spot, so I just didn’t wanna risk these being on main tags out in the open 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀. Though, tbh, I’ve seen more explicit things on the tags so eh, better safe than sorry tho (- w - )

what is being in lolita fashion on a day to day basis like? theres a lot of reasons why i cant and dont right now but what do people even say? im no stranger to being seen as a freak so thats not concerning me but im very curious. thanks

Wearing lolita for me is chill mostly. I imagine it varies a lot based on where you live and what substyles you wear. I wear mostly old school, casual and gothic. I think over the top gothic styles are somewhat in the public consciousness so people go "Oh it's one of those goth kids" while my old school clothes make people think I look like a doll or someone into vintage clothes. Casual coords can pass as me just being a stylish person. I get a lot of questions and compliments, and occasionally, someone will know what lolita is and compliment my coord or ask where I get my clothes. Old people love it most of the time. Not all of them though. My family is really like.. the weirdest about it, but they've backed off for the most part now that I've been dressing like this for quite some time now though I still mostly wear casual coords around them. I wore it to a family reunion, and people were really chill about it so I think that helped my immediate family calm down a bit when they realized I wouldn't be treated like a freakazoid. Occasionally, I meet someone who knows a lot about Japanese culture but doesn't know what lolita is exactly; they can just tell I'm wearing a Japanese fashion. Often an interesting conversation starts. It happened to me at the somnologist a few weeks ago, and it also happened with my cousin at the family reunion. It can also happen with some people who watch anime or make anime inspired art. It's fun... I like making conversation with people, but I imagine it can be a bit overwhelming if you don't like talking to strangers. It also might be less of a thing where a culture of hospitality isn't as much of a thing haha. I've had very few negative interactions but they have happened... Most I've talked about online in semi public spaces. Like the guy in England who asked me if I wanted to dress like Annabelle and blew smoke in my face.. I just walked away from him... And I've been catcalled and approached by weird guys.. Usually I just make an excuse to leave. But that also happened when I dressed in plain goth/alt fashion, so I'm kind of used to it. It also doesn't happen frequently enough that I feel in danger or troubled by it. I'm also so sooo autistic. There's a chance someone has been mean to me but I just didn't realize lol.

High School PriChan the Musical, Part 2!

By popular demand!

So, as I mentioned before, Part 2 of the High School PriChan virtual musical (originally streamed on 3/9/2024) was a lot more dense than the first. All you really need to know about Part 1 is that Miracle Kiratts, Meltic Star, Ring Marry, and Daia were kidnapped and brought to a high school in space by Sadame Ginga for a mysterious purpose.

And so, our story begins exactly where we left off. They even open the show in the same exact way as part 1, with a reprise of the original song High School Challenger.

After the opening song, the girls discuss their upcoming Culture Festival (which has an overcomplicated name that Sadame keeps changing) and predict that Sadame Ginga will just appear and tell them it's happening all of a sudden without them actually having planned anything.

And guess what happens!

But they are all used to it by now.

So, what does everyone actually do for the Culture Festival?

Could it be, performing a live!? (They have done nothing else at this "high school" so far...)

So we have another string of performances, the most interesting of which is again Daia's. Just as she's about to begin, the screen starts glitching out and she is joined by her other self to form Double Daia. Together they perform Forever Friends! Yes, the MyChara Zuttomo song from PriPara!

Daia just covered Heart Iro Tori Dream in the last installment, so I don't know why she gets all the surprise covers but YAY DAIA!!!

The mascot Daia leaves and we reach the "climax" of the Culture Festival: the MyChara runway! Well, they call it a runway but it's actually a conveyor belt. (I don't know why they couldn't do the usual runway animation?) And so, the MyCharas of everyone who paid to get in are all wheeled out and do a pose at the end of the conveyor belt. How very exciting, for everyone who got in that is. This part seemed to drag on forever though... But well, I guess it was kinda neat seeing all the various season 3 coords I never got to see before.

After the runway, so much "sadame iine" has been uniquely gathered that Sadame Ginga insists they put on a special performance that has never been seen before. If so, a miracle might occur!

All of a sudden, Mel, Mirai, and Rinka start talking about some kind of a special group they once took part in, in a different world. This is all very confusing in universe, but it's Run Girls Run. They are talking about Run Girls Run.

So, the three of them perform Brand New Girls!

This leaves Emo, Sara, and Anna watching on the sidelines... leading Sara to suggest to Emo, hey, why not perform with us? It turns out that when Meltic Star was just Anna and Sara, they had considered inviting different members from Miracle Kiiratts to join them. Anna was apparently particularly interested in performing with Emo, Sara discloses. They had prepared songs that they could perform with Mirai and Rinka as well, but the first one they wrote was for Emo!

And so, they invite Emo to perform that song right here, right now!

Emo is a bit freaked out since she doesn't know the song, but Sara insists all she needs to do is study the lyrics and she will be fine. Anna has studied Emo's dancing style and created the moves to fit her perfectly, after all...

So, "Emotic Star" (or "Anna, Sara, Bananas" as Anna calls them, composed of three fellow members of iRis) perform the Valentine song Choco Tea Cocho Heart (a Meltic Star arcade song).

After this performance, the "sadame iine" is maxed. Sadame brings up a special monitor resembling a sliding puzzle showing possible fates of the universe and announces they now have the power to change destiny!

Naturally, the girls are taken aback to find out that this is what they have been performing for all this time. They demand Sadame explain.

And so, Sadame takes them to the superintendent and principal's office, her Sadame Room. Here, Sadame explains how she came to possess a record of the entire history of the universe, past and present.

"Oh? A record? That's what my grandma used to listen to music!" says Emo.

No, not a record. Sadame only uses the latest technology.

A VHS tape.

And it's recorded in extended play!

And, after studying said tape, Sadame had discovered that the disaster that killed the dinosaurs was about to return once more. But this time, a direct hit! Our galaxy, which just happens to be shaped like Kirachu, is about to hit another galaxy, which also happens to be shaped like Kirachu.

The girls are naturally distraught that the entire world is about to be destroyed, but Sadame announces she won't allow it. So, as it turns out, despite her scary appearance and forceful methods, Sadame did not have a nefarious reason for kidnapping the girls at all. She's been trying to save the world through PriChan all along!

Sadame then begins the performance she thinks will save the world (a reprise of her solo from the last show, "Face your Fate").

However, she is unsuccessful as her performance is suddenly interrupted as the two galaxies seem set to collide! Sadame is distressed as this wasn't supposed to happen, and the curtains close!

But, Mirai steps in to remind her that creating this high school and bringing everyone together was not useless because it allowed them to meet. Emo and Rinka agree with Mirai, and Meltic Star tell Sadame she's given up too soon. Everyone chimes in with the usual PriChan spirit of not giving up, and giving everything a try!

After a quick intermission with the mascots, we return to find the negative Kirachu galaxy (which Emo nicknames Urachu) has appeared on the horizon. Maria tries to push it away with cuteness only for Suzu to inform her she's just gonna pull it in it closer!

Sadame falls to her knees, lamenting that everything she did was useless.

Mentioning this brings up all their old PriChan memories, which were also included on the VHS tape. Emo and Mirai reminisce about their debut with Ready Action and what the song means to them. They were scared, but they had to try, and this song cheered them on.

"Let's do it! Let's try!" says Mirai as she holds out her hand to Sadame.

Sadame takes her hand, and the two perform Ready Action!!

Sadame's sadame meter is full, but she knows she will just fail like last time if she tries again. They need a way to collect even more iine. More than ever before.

Just as everyone is feeling down, they hear a voice from above. It's Alice! And Eve! They have been keeping tabs on the situation but due to a time lag, were just a little late in contacting them. They inform them with the use of Mel's parents' technology and a special performance on a special stage, they can change sadame iine into galaxy iine! However, they need to be in view of the Earth (the school is on the dark side of the moon).

Solulu and Luluna then appear to help as well (Note: Alice, Eve, Solulu, and Luluna don't have models, they are just communicating on a screen with static images) and send the girls their Illuminage coords. Miracle Kiratts performs, which sends everyone traveling on a shooting star to where they need to be!

(Or so we hear, in another intermission with the mascots.)

The mascots, with the help of mascot Daia, change into their idol forms and go to help as well!

Then, with no segway whatsoever, we are with Anju. Anju performs Fortune Karat in space.

Meanwhile, the other girls have arrived closer to the earth, where they need to be to accomplish the performance that will gather everyone's galaxy iine and change destiny.

I'd like to note that, although Sadame does not get an Illuminage coord, she's like... significantly more sparkly now.

Also, the girls realize the stage they have arrived on is actually Hakucho, Anju's mascot, transformed! So that's what Anju was doing? GoGo Mascots and the other Daia arrive too! Together they form the supergroup, Super Galaxy Miracle Star!

A group which can change destiny!

Super Galaxy Miracle Star performs the musical theme, High School Challenger (third performance of this song overall).

(Wait, I just noticed that even though they made a point about her showing back up, mascot Daia wasn't in this performance?? ??????)

And so, by the power of PriChan and its followers, the Earth, no, the GALAXY is saved once more.

Anju, Alice, and Eve reflect on the power of PriChan and Alice and Eve hope to perform with Solulu and Luluna someday. Anju tells them that the future exists to give us possibilities.

Sadame apologizes for her forceful ways of getting everyone involved in all of this, but they all forgive her since, after all, they had fun! They thank Sadame, saying they could not have done it without her. But Sadame says she should be thanking them for teaching her about the real power to change the universe (giving everything a try)!

The others ask Sadame if she is going to return to the school (to which transportation is fixed now, I forget at what point the robot got broken...), and she says of course. She is, after all, the superintendent, the principal, the student council president, the culture festival chair... (etc).

The other girls will all be returning back to their own respective high schools on Earth, but they decide this isn't goodbye. They are all connected by PriChan!

Sadame, who still feels responsible for the fate of the universe, will return to studying the updated VHS but also go on a journey to the center of the universe. Surely, she will discover the secret of the fate of everything there!

The others question if that is possible, but she reminds them what they taught her. You'll never know if you don't try!

The curtains close as Sadame is sure they will meet again!

The curtains open again with the girls back in their respective high school uniforms, ready to again try and perform the musical they were trying to perform in the last show before Sadame interrupted by kidnapping them and bringing them to space. But this time the mascots are with them too!

Suddenly, they hear something. Could it be...?

It turns out Sadame has given up on embarking on her journey... by herself. Instead, she will be using Hakucho, who can apparently travel faster than the speed of light and communicate back virtually.

So, now Sadame can visit whenever she wants! Except she does still have responsibilities at her school. She, after all, is the superintendent, the principal, the school council president... And she does have to analyze the data from Hakucho as well.

For now though, she is here! And will participate in the musical as well! It's her destiny!

And so, the curtains close for the final time as the real musical supposedly begins...

The end.

What a wonderful little thing. It was nice to be able to check in on everyone during their high school life, and meet a completely new PriChan idol character. You may have been able to tell already by reading this, but I really liked Sadame's arc, and seeing her finally smiling and enjoying herself performing with Mirai was my favorite part! Also, they threw a whole lot of fanservice for Emo/Anna shippers in here as well hehe.

I hope they keep doing these virtual musicals! I wouldn't be surprised if PriMagi or King of Prism is next!

im watching the demykatsu debut stream archive and thought id give a rundown if anyones interested? so it opened with a flashback abt the girls becoming friends over not being able to find their way around the school for the entrance ceremony. and then when the stream started parin was in a locker bc she was nervous (but really bc they just wanted an excuse to beg for comments 😭😭😭). the girls are in the streaming club, so they stream from their clubroom (they may also stream from other places in the school)

their first song is their schools official song for new students to perform, mankai helianthus (helianthus in full bloom). the instrumental version will also be released so fans can cover it. naturally their first coords are the school dresses.

the girls are all first years, their auditions went poorly but theyre self-producing to improve, and so they started the streaming club. theyre aiming for 1mil subs and to become top idols. it seems theyll be doing a live show every sunday at 8pm jst, kind of like the radio shows most anime idol games have. they plan to do original and cover song streams, and get their aikatsu senpais on their streams

so i guess vtubers commonly have an emoji that fits their vibe?? mierus is 💌, mehs is 🐑 (if u dont know, meh is the sound sheep make in japanese), parins is shown as 🥚 in this stream, but in descriptions its actually 🐣?? it may be both idk (her intro is that shes an idol egg, as in shes not yet reached her full potential ig). their group as a whole (really the school) is 🌻. their song title has エリオント/helianthus, the sunflower genus, so that tracks

the members colours are pink for mieru, white for meh, mustard yellow for parin. theres 4 lockers in the room, one each plus a dark grey one... hm............. a placeholder...? and later on in the dance segment, the sexy symbol is quite prominent. im totally predicting a fourth member at some point

they got a letter from their teachers announcing that the fresh idol fes will occur in august, where theyll have their first live. the pv from a few days ago seems to just be from the mv of their first song😔

the last segment is a dancing game, so each round the audience has to guess which member the prompt applies to. 1) who is wearing 2kg weights on her arms while dancing to mankai helianthus? 2) who is wearing earplugs while dancing to diamond happy? 3) who is wearing earbuds and listening to a different song while dancing to never give up (yuzu song from aistars)? and a bonus little titbit, whoever it the last one was, they were listening to mielumière (ninas song from akarigen)

...and thats all folks. honestly they have some good chemistry, and they didnt keep up the "wah we're soooo nervous🥺🥺🥺" schtick for too long. i hope theres more than just idol activities though, itd be nice to see them play video games and stuff (and not just shilling for bamco-published games😩)

Whale Fever

11/12/2024 ﹏𓂁﹏ It has been a while since I've gotten a cold. One deep dark secret of mine is that... I love being sick. I like being able to justify my lack of drive to be productive... and being able to stay in bed all day, shamelessly. I skipped class for the first time today because I couldn't get out of bed... and it feels good. The days leading up to this have been busy. Whales. Whales are ruining my life. Painting: a project about personal beliefs was due yesterday... I spent about three weeks on it... and it was of a humpback whale; on one canvas alive and swimming, and the other just a pile of bones in the deep-sea. I stayed up until 2 working on this for a few nights in a row. I would walk back home in the pouring rain and then endure some nearly sleepless nights. Tomorrow I need to present my painting in front of my class and talk about it. I am scared. Edit: I did my talk and got emotional talking about whales. A shaky voice and heartrate of 163 bpm... what a life I live. Essay: alongside this pair of paintings comes an essay explaining the meaning behind the work and how it correlates to each detail. The meaning: "accepted environmental helplessness". Did you know that whales, especially orcas, are incredibly polluted? These things called persistent organic pollutants (POPs) absorb into their blubber. They enter the sea by runoff, move up the food chain, and eventually reach whales. As whales migrate, they metabolize their toxic blubber and grow susceptible to disease. They do not die instantly and will often still have offspring, but will then pass down these POPs to their offspring, who will most likely suffer the same fate as their parents. I read a research article that found evidence of mothers growing less polluted than their calves BECAUSE so much of their pollution transfers into their baby. How sad. Biology: the first presentation I will give in... I don't know how many years... about a certain species and the reasons why/how we should put conservation efforts towards them. My topic: whales. Is this a surprise? No. I am happy about my topic but very scared to give a presentation. I don't care if I speak in front of thousands of people, but if it is a small class of 15 people I freak out. Wish me luck. Lecture: I have been made aware that there will be a visitor coming to my school to discuss whale conservation. Will I be there: yes. Will I ask a lot of questions: yes. I am looking forward to this. Now that I've spent this entire day in my room, I fear that I will never want to leave again. It reminds me of my 8 months of NEET-hood; awful when so prolonged, but nice on occasion. Staying home all day sounds wonderful when you are constantly busy, but being busy sounds wonderful when you are home all day for months. These things must be taken in small increments, or you will go crazy like I did. A few days ago, I went to my first 'real' anime convention. Whilst I enjoy anime very much, I didn't go because of that. I just wanted to see what the artists were selling. Some of the booths were so cool, and others were so lewd... terrifying. I got a cute Mimitchi keychain, though. Happy (´∀`). I saw a few Lolitas and was very envious of them. I have one JSK, but have never worn a coord out before. Could I be... a poser??? But I did do something out of my comfort-zone! I wore heels. This may seem trivial to some, but I am kind of tall (and insecure), so being even taller made me feel nervous... but somehow classy? Anyways, it made me more comfortable with high heels because I have always loved them but been too scared of tall-ness. I can also run very quickly in them. At this convention there was a vendor selling swords. I began asking him about his selection and prices, but he seemed really confused like I was joking with him... but I am very serious about wanting a sword. Unfortunately none of the handcrafted ones suited my desires. Someday. You may be wondering what I did immediately after returning home from the convention... it is funny, you should know by now. I painted for 6 hours.

John was so sweet :( when he wanted to be :( he was also stupid as FUCK /lovingly. everyday i do not get a stupid message in my pesterchum client from him is another bad day. genuinely he was so nice when he wasn't a little shit. sorry for lying about being a mailman it will happen again.

Rose was like. okay. i remember us studying the cryptids around Appalachia for a while. ik in the webcomic she lived somewhere around Rainbow Falls in NY due to us Knowing The Coords of Her House but for me she lived on the side of a mountain. Pesterquest canon is already different than the webcomic anyways. :P! Rose was cool though!! i remember making up cryptids with her and making up a wizard to use as a background character in her Wizard Fic.

Dave was fucking cool. He lived in Houston and he DID have an accent!! very good at singing but he didn't really ever take it serious so you wouldnt know it. he had a vinyl collection but exclusively weird ones like a vinyl of just sound effects. he had no reason to have these. He never used them. They were for the irony of owning them! Also alternative frisbees. he would throw seeds out on the roof of his building to feed the crows too

Jade!!!! she was very cool :3 i remember trying to play fetch with Bec and him just teleporting to the object instead of picking it up. id help her garden sometimes, too! mostly by getting seeds and watering them sometimes. she taught me how to shoot a gun AND aim better- it was really fun

Jane was really cool! i got her a cookbook once and i remember learning to bake with her. ive seen the taxidermied Poppop get torn apart SO MANY TIMES it's wild.

Jake was certainly A Guy. he was really fun but i was worried abt him a LOT. id teleport him away from danger sometimes.

Roxy.. i do not remember her very well. She was fun, tho!

Dirk. oh, Dirk. Certainly a Man. thats for sure. He was intimidating but he was sorta nice when he wanted to be. surprisingly Decent friend! id watch mlp with him an Equius and it was FUN🔥

♡ My 2023 retrospective: egl version ♡ PART 1/9

I did the same thing last year, but I posted it to my private blog that nobody can read. This year I'm less scared of being posted to cgl, so I'm gonna try doing this.

January:

First thing first, my comm actually started existing at the end of the last year. Most members are new to the fashion, many are underage, and no one has a big budget. We actually grew quite a bit during this year, but we remain a small community of poorlitas who try to make do with what we have. At first, I wasn't very confident this comm would last and that people would try and get informed about the fashion, buy all the proper garments, make sure they're of good quality, and so on. I was used to being a lonelita and a solitary person in general, so I didn't really care that much if the comm lived or died, I could always wear my clothes by myself. But I can say now that I'm glad to have a community, because it makes it easier to stay involved in the fashion, and it's easier to get new stuff because we can always split the shipping fees, plus one member is a seamstress and we can have her alter our clothes or make new clothes and accessories at a really convenient price. I get along well with all of the other members, we don't have the never-ending amount of drama that is so common in other comms, and it's nice to see other people who share the same hobby and do our silly little activities together.

It's funny how I was still playing Shining Nikki at the time, it feels like a century has passed.

In January, I also started organizing my smaller accessories like this, and I'm very satisfied of how it's going. This set-up actually works!

I got this BPN velvet blazer from lace market♡ and I ordered the sax Milky Planet headbow. I actually have the yellow skirt that I got in 2011 from Closet Child in Japan, and I don't have the yellow headbow, but I thought the sax one would match more of my clothes. It was a mistake.

I went through a bunch of old paper stuff that I printed in like 2007 and things like cute tags and flyers, and these were some of the lolita-related ones:

I still love that pink coord, I want it so bad...

Then I received my first ever Closet Child website order, and it was mostly non-lolita stuff, but there were some exceptions.

This Beauty & the Beast Axes Femme blouse is made of polyester and quite simple, but I think it could work for some more casual coords, and this Milk cardigan is technically not lolita, but I love it and it's perfectly fine to wear in a lolita coord.

And then I got the Toy Parade skirt by Innocent World in brown, that I love, but haven't worn yet because it's too small, and the Tea Cup Print Sleeveless OP by Emily Temple Cute that I did wear in a casual outfit, but it wasn't a lolita coord. I am planning to wear it for our comm's next meet though.

I also got these ivory Axes Femme wristcuffs (they were cheap and they're nice!), the Innocent World Karenina JSK (I love it, I wore it quite a bit this summer), and the Alice and the Pirates Rosary Princess Corset skirt (gorgeous, but I wish it wasn't so tight, and I wish the bustle in the back was black instead of white).

And I finally finished acquiring all the volumes of Innocent by Shinichi Sakamoto. Look how beautiful the details of these rococo clothes are!

Pretty Rhythm at Prism Stone Tokyo Station in March 2024.

My Pretty Rhythm IC card still works! I will be eternally stuck on whatever the silver rank is called though.

I decided to play as Wakana in her initial Seventh (i.e. the coord I am hoping to gatcha for on Idol Land. I figured if I can't use it there I might as well use it here hah ha...)

Man I forgot though. What sets Pretty Rhythm apart from the other Pretty Series games is that it's really satisfying when you're good and a lot less when you are... not. I forgot how out of practice I am and didn't choose an easier difficulty when I should have. I wanted to brag that I could still do 10 jumps after all this time but I only made it to 7... oh well. Even if I lived in Japan it would be near impossible to grind again. Back to the 3DS.

Obligatory Aikatsu disclaimer for the people who aren’t following me for that. Okay moving on!

So you know how I questioned why the livestream performances contained the whole song instead of just a portion of it? Well the Aikatsu Academy channel just posted two new performance videos, both of which only did a verse and chorus like every other Aikatsu series in existence!! So why in the world did they do the longer ones in the first place?

Either way, the two videos were Akogare Sky and Never Give Up, both of which featured Pairin as the center, lending more credence to my theory that she is the true main character here. She leads all the transformations, too.

Akogare Sky as a song has definitely grown on me and will probably be added to my Aikatsu playlist soon. The stage was still very uneventful and no auras or appeals were seen, rip. You can definitely see how they’re making the choreo work with the models when compared to Never Give Up, but it doesn’t look bad! It feels like they’re getting better with more fluid movements at points.

Never Give Up was always a song that I wasn’t a fan of, lol. The repeated ‘never give up’ with the pronunciation (I’m sure Yuzu was trying her best) always killed it for me. That aside, I think everyone sounded vocally strong here!! Mieru’s voice continues to grow on me, (she sounds good in any type of song and it’s cool to hear) and Meh sounded like she had a better handle on things. The stage and choreo itself really displays the limits of what these models and environments can do, though, especially when you compare it to the Stars performance. It’s just kind of stiff and uneventful. Again no auras or appeals, rip. At least they look like they’re having fun!

I do wonder if the Academy girls will ever do runway-style lives or not. I was thinking about it because their skirts in Never Give Up reminds me of the Resort Cancer skirt, and I wondered if they would ever do Otona Mode as a performance. All I can think is that if they want to keep using old songs and stages, they’re going to run out of non-runway ones eventually… but I also don’t know if I trust the models or environments to really work with it.

From what I’ve gathered, their next big event is a brand muse festival, so maybe they will start getting new coords after they each have their own brands? Maybe they’ll have appeals after that too! I have a crack theory that they didn’t want to animate base appeals like Cute Flash if they were just going to be swapped for brand appeals later, so they’ll start doing appeals once they’re in their brands. Plus if they’re designing new brands with new appeals they can work with the models more, though I suppose designing new type appeals could have done that as well…I’m probably wrong though. Either way, I’ll keep staying tuned!!

Natsuyasumi marutto tanoshimu keikaku has adopted the moves of Bon-odori partly. It's a style of dancing performed during Obon(this time of year). I enjoyed to making people in Happy happi coord's OCs dance to that song back in the good old days of about 2017-2018. (*This is not my work*)

This happi definitely have the memorable charm to me but I'm unhappy because we can't use in adpara...🐹💦 and, this hair accessory they accessorize in pripara is different from real in Japan. We wrap and bind string(we call it "hachimaki") around forehead🎀

The origins of Bon-odori and Obon are unknown. But Bon-odori is secular though influenced and mixed together by Buddhism and Shintoism and has made for all to enjoyment!💃ヾ(´Y｀)ノ"🕺

Well, I don't want you to feel weird, but it's mean to be enjoyed and has very little religious mean. This dance has nothing to do with constraints. That's just feel to near to us, such as Pripara too haha. (😏???)

During Obon is the time when Japanese people believe ancestors spirits visit the living world and where we pray for the repose of the souls of ancestors. Oh, I'm here today thanks to ancestors.  I dunno but think the heaven looks like keeping cool and pleasant. So please spirits, I think it's better not to come here because summer in Japan is little too muggy well right now haha.

If you want visit to Japan in order to see Dai Pripara ten, I recommend to come on about autumn. Ah of couse, if you have a more purpose of the trip is to the new movie of KinPri, I can't stop you! haha

Believe it or not, when the humidity's really high and like cling me, it's such as in banya(the Russian steam bath - extremely humid)!! Additionally, no matter where we go during now, it's very crowded until sometime around the end of this month 25th because children have a summer holiday.

The Obon holidays are in the middle of August in Japan. It depends on the year, but in the case of this year from August 13-16 and working adult can take at about 3-7 days off straight. I can only send my thoughts for ancestors from distance my home because my rule is to only not go to trips since the Covid-19 started to spread.

I'm not sure if I can writing it clearly, but Japanese people are not scary!🤗 umm, Do you think about Japanese people don't follow a religion? haha, but that's is not accurate. I need to clear up any common misconception haha! If we pray at the shrine, then we are not atheist, aren't you? ummm... Joking (am I really joking though?) aside, more emphasis on durability / ease of care for pieces. I know why bags and shoes are pleather and not leather, but it's still annoying to be constantly replacing things. Same with dresses. Polyester dresses are easier to care for, but the very easy to snag fabrics are not good. I want to see more machine washable, wrinkle resistant, wearable lolita clothes.

21. (Free space) what’s something about lolita fashion that you want to say/talk about?

The older I get, and the longer I've been wearing lolita, the more I feel like momoko's "If it makes you happy, do it" are words all lolita should live by. Who cares if the shoes match exactly, or if someone thinks something is out of style. Get dressed for yourself and to make yourself happy. No one else matters. Life is too short to skip out on a moment of joy because someone else might not love it.

Also, I have no energy for the whole making fun of other people's coords / salt culture thing. The hyper-critical stuff just sucks all the joy out of lolita and I'm so over it. Wear clothes, have fun, be cute.

And tell all the other lolita how cute / beautiful / sparkling they are!

I want to live in a world where non-lolita think we must all be in love with each other or something because we are constantly complimenting each other instead of them thinking lolita are catty and mean.

30 day lolita challenge, day 2

I haven't forgotten about this. It's just that day #2 is "10 things you love about lolita" and this crap with my local community mods deciding that they rule the world and banning someone for not knowing their made-up redefinition of a term used for a very serious crime into accidentally posting selfies without asking has made me, you know, not really love lolita right now.

So let's go.

For those of you who missed the last post, I'm doing the 30 Day Lolita Challenge (in more than 30 days) that was created in 2011 by The Random Lolita. This series is tagged "20dollarlolita 30daylorlolita challenge" in case you want to black list that tag.

Okay.

One, I love the rules. I love having a really firm guideline on what elements of a look to build and wear. I spend a lot of time in normal fashion worrying about "this is wrong" but without anyone to explain why, so I love being in a fashion where it's more spelled out.

Two, I love the details. I like that, when you zoom in on any part of a nice lolita coordinate, there's more and more to look at. I like that our dresses are the high-resolution image and the rest of the world is a 3 megapixel JPEG.

Three, I love the absolute absurdity of it. I spent almost all of high school trying to not be weird, and I think that reflects in adult me by latching onto a fashion where no one outside the fashion will think it's normal.

Four, I love the way people react when they get to see a nice piece up close. Any time i get to show a dress to a coworker or friend who sews or does fashion, and they go, "I get why you're into this." It's just so nice.

Five, I love building things myself. I know how to make a dress, but when I make a really good lolita garment, I have a price tag to compare my work to. It's kind of discouraging as someone who sews when you spend $90 and 25 hours of work to make the same blouse that you can get at Walmart for $11, so the fact that a lolita blouse can be $200 makes me feel less bad about my work. I love creating my own lolita fashion for the same reason I love making my own coords. There's a set of rules, and I get to follow those rules, and I can do absolutely anything in the world as long as I follow those rules. The level of freedom you get when you go "You can do anything as long as it's X" is something that I think everyone craves in some form or another, so I love that I'm in a hobby where that's what it is.

Six, I love how people react to my clothes. I used to joke that it was because people see the clothes and judge based on that, so no stranger is judging the rest of you. You stand out, but that makes you more anonymous. Now, I say the exact same thing, but it's not a joke. I think being somewhat socially awkward often leads people to lolita fashion. I often joke that I'm not a person, and am actually either a time-traveling android or a hallucination caused by a sentient cloud, because it feels like the entire world got a How To Be Human manual except me. Well, when you don't have the manual, you make up the rules, and wearing lolita fashion out means that I take those rules away from everyone else, too. No stranger knows how to react to this shit, so it doesn't matter that I don't know what I'm doing, either.

Seven, I love the old Livejournal and Blogger and Wordpress blogs that are still around. I'm doing a lolita challenge that's 12 years old. When you read one of those, you're connected to them through time. Our lolita ancestors aren't too far away, but even if they've left the fashion, their wisdom lives on. So many people are still being helped by @lolita-tips even though the blog is no longer active. Connected to this is every Lolibrary post made by AmethystCitrine, who died in about 10 years ago (at the age of 25), but whose contributions to the lolita community are still used every day. We're connected to the people who've helped the lolita community before us, and we're connected to the future by the resources we create today. What people have given to the community will

Eight, I love Lolibrary. Y'all ever think about how absolutely insane it is that we have every single piece of the fashion that we can get our hands on documented and easily searchable? I don't know anything else that is like that. I love just looking through various years and trends. I love finding something online and immediately having access to what year it came out. Prior to Lolibrary, there was a site called HelloLace that tried to document all lolita fashion history, but it wasn't as thorough. Even though it's long gone, every time I see HelloLace links, I'm filled with massive nostalgia.

Nine, I love connecting with people through the fashion. Seeing people who are dressed in lolita, and having a secret kind of language like JSK and OP and knowing brands, sharing Taobao shopping services, all of that. It's an immediate connection with someone. I think this links back to socially awkward people using lolita fashion to help with social skills, but it's also a kind of connection that I just love.

Ten, I love how much everything is reused. Buying broken things and fixing them, restoring or reusing or recycling things. It gives us a connection to the past. Our culture of reuse before disposing of things isn't something I see so much in the rest of my life, so I love that I can retreat into it in lolita. Skills like how to fix and modify things are much more valuable in lolita fashion than in mainstream fashion. It's just very cool to me. I love finding things as class D on Wunderwelt or Closet Child and making them valuable to me.

I don't know if that's my top 10 things, but it's ten things. If tumblr would stop absolutely forcing things with 1) at the beginning into a really ugly looking list, I'd like that.

Ok so here’s my long ramble-y thoughts about Idol Land Pripara after playing it for a bit. I’m just gonna write what pops into my head first lol so anyway:

Coordes

I really love pretty much all the new coordes I’ve seen, they’re all very cute and pretty and very Pripara esque imo however the only downside is that some of them cost real money and are pretty expensive, even the non new ones and the ones that cost silver Idollars can be quite expensive too

It also sucks that some coordes are locked behind the paid gacha and it’s rates aren’t the best (1.5% or something chance of getting a Premium Pripara Rare so good luck getting Amari’s Cyalume) and there’s no spark system. If you get doubles you get points that contribute to your gacha meter that can get you Silver Idollars, Promise Tickets, Exchange Tickets or Gacha Tickets but you’re mostly gonna get Silver Idollars and Promise Tickets which idk doesn’t feel like a fair exchange.

I do like the Coorde sorting system compared to the Switch game tho

Silver Idollars

One decision I’m baffled by is how Silver Idollars expire at the end of the month. I thought it was because Silver and Gold Idollars were the same except Gold are paid and they didn’t want people saving their Silver so they’d never need to pay for Gold but there’s some stuff you can only buy with Gold and some you can only buy with Silver and you can’t buy Silver Idollars or (to my knowledge) exchange Gold into Silver so why does Silver expire???

Live Promises and Songs

Live Promises are fine enough, it plays pretty much like the Switch game and I like that you can just tap anywhere on the screen to play and not the button. I also appreciate the screenshot button but idk it feels too small to me, I keep missing it when I try to click it. I also find my phone gets really hot when playing Live’s and a lot of Making Dramas aren’t in E.g Baby Monster just gives you After School Heart Dash or whatever it’s called

There’s a small selection of songs rn which is a shame especially since a lot cost money but I hope they add more soon especially ones not on the switch.

It’s nice you can pretty much play Pripara as much as you want by doing other people’s Promises but you get so little Idollars and Likes compared to doing one you created. I’ve also found that a lot of times when I go to join a promise, it’s already full. The promise list also loads slowly. It’d also be nice if it asked if you wanted to change your Coorde before doing a Promise.

Also this is a nitpick but only Lala’s voice plays with the new Welcome to Idol Land making drama and not mychara voices. Also found a glitch where mychara voices get put as Genki even though I set mine at Ootori or whatever it’s called.

It also sucks with Live Promises you can only play as anime characters if you do official promises that have them and even then you can’t change their Coorde.

Snapshot Promises

I really enjoyed doing these in PriChan but it’s a shame that they give less Likes than Lives (at least I’ve found) and you can only take one pose pic of your character and the rest are other players characters. Like, I don’t really wanna take pics of random strangers characters lol

Photo Studio and Photos

This one’s kind of a let down. I think it’s paid only via the Monthly Pass but I forgot to check before I bought it. There’s only a handful of poses and pre-existing backgrounds and the photo quality is so crunchy?? Also speaking of photos, I kinda hate that I have to upload it to Pristagram if I want to save it in good quality to my phone. I’ve found it takes forever to upload and it doesn’t even indicate to you that it’s uploading because the screen just freezes and I had to try and upload pics twice today because it wouldn’t work the first time

Anime

Talked about it a lot before so won’t talk about it a lot here but I’m still disappointed they didn’t decided to release official English subs for the anime especially after subbing Primagi and making the game region free.

But I think the anime is the best thing to come out of the game, Amari is a great character, new songs are great and the animation is great

Other

Nitpick but it’s a shame the rank system is different now. Now it’s just rank 1 or rank 2 instead of like “Fledgling Idol” or “Kami Idol”. Also the lovely Coorde change jingle glitch that plays even if you’re not wearing a lovely Coorde that’s from the Switch still exists :/

I think that’s all I can think of rn. Overall the game could definitely be improved especially with how it took 3 years of delays to release like this. I also hope we get more character parts soon especially the fluffy pigtails because I wanna make my character Dia. Sorry this is so long lol, if you made it this far then thanks for reading

does like, fantasy count? bc id love to be some magical woodland creature. fairy changeling, elf, druid, fairytale anthropomorphic bunny who lives in a mushroom house (connected to the mushroom internet through the mycelium spanning the entire earth). get adopted by my sylvanian families. or mermaid!!!

if we r talking realism tho, i cant pick between also forest animal, or just a child again but in a non abusive family who loves the real me and not their ideal and supports me in my dreams. without the trauma and mental illness. just to recover all those years that went into the dumpster. id keep the autism tho it defines me as a person and i wouldnt be me otherwise

🧶 - What’s your least favorite color and why?

i think its grey - i wear grey only with black in a dark mori coord, i dont really use much grey in art unless its meant to be grayscale, everything is a bit toned. every color is good within its context but there isnt much good context for gray?? with black though its perfect. i barely use any black elements in a non dark mori coord that is not entirely based around black either! i dont like black shoes, its like they dirty up the palette a bit in a way brown ones dont. but for dark mori theyre perfect! black and grey to me are just

🐛 - What is your favorite time of day?

i think the afternoon! i am a night owl, and dont like mornings, but i suffer a lot from sunlight shortage, like a plant. so, especially in winter, when there is little sun, i like the afternoon when i can catch some sun and hate to spend it at work. but in summer i like evenings more - its still sunny, but no longer blazing.
