the worst thing about putting together OC playlists is when the song is perfect in theory but you cannot for the life of you find a rendition with the right vibe
#I realized tomorrow from annie is a kethri song but goddamn#the only versions that aren't actual children performing annie in the musical (fine and great but not what I want!)#are singers putting like. a TON of overembellished 'national anthem at the big game' stank on it for some reason#okay calm down mariah carey fucking hell!!#only love from scarlet pimpernel is a perfect elyss/ june song but I WANT it to feel tender and it always gets big and show-stoppery...#and I cannot fucking BELIEVE I can't for the life of me find an All I Ask Of You cover where both parts are women.
