Whoops, my hand slipped and I wrote another Steddie ficlet! Also posted on AO3.
The Best Defense
“Hey, freak!”
Eddie froze, the bag of groceries clutched in his hands. Steve's head popped up from where he was putting the other bag in the trunk.
Andy Johnson was headed their way, a look on his face that made Eddie's eyes go wide.
“You got some nerve showing your face around here, freak!” Andy shouted as he approached, pointing a menacing finger.
Steve calmly plucked the bag from Eddie's nerveless fingers, dropped it in the trunk, and smoothly stepped between him and Andy.
“Back off, Johnson,” Steve said, his chin held high.
“You think I'm scared of you, Harrington?” Andy scoffed. “You ain't shit, pretty boy. Daddy's money can't protect you here.”
He glanced over his shoulder, where Eddie could see a group of varsity jackets starting to move closer. Eddie shrank back a little, wishing he could be anywhere else.
Steve cocked his head to the side, just watching for a minute as Andy puffed. Then he reached into the trunk, pulled out his nailbat, and slung it casually against his shoulder.
“Don't think I'll use Daddy's money,” Steve said with a shrug. He dropped the bat into his other hand and twirled it. “Think I'll use this instead.”
Andy blanched. His eyes nervously darted between the bat and Steve. Eddie could see there was still a little bit of dried monster blood on the nails.
For once in his life, Andy did the smart thing. He started backing away, huffing like Steve was the one being ridiculous, but guys like that always want to get the last word.
“Yeah, well, you better keep an eye on your rat-faced little boyfriend, Harrington,” he threatened. “You can't defend him forever.” He backed up a few more steps before he quickly returned to his friends.
Steve turned and looked at Eddie, an affronted look on his face. “Can you believe that guy?”
Eddie winced. “Hey, man, thanks,” he said weakly. “I'm sorry about that.”
Nah, forget him,” Steve said as he closed the trunk, the nailbat still in one hand. He shook his head. “I just don't get why he would say something like that about you.”
Eddie grimaced, all too aware of the (entirely true) rumors about his sexuality. He didn't want something like that coming down on Steve; he was a good guy, he didn't deserve to get any more tangled up in Eddie's mess than he already was.
“I mean, what the hell was that about?” Steve continued indignantly. “You are not rat-faced.” He scoffed.
Eddie blinked for a minute. “You—” he licked his lips. “What—Steve, what about the other—”
Steve opened his door and sat down.
“I—he called me your—” Eddie stammered. He stood stupidly by the trunk, shoes stuck to the pavement.
Steve closed his door and beeped the horn.
“What—”
“Get in, Munson!” Steve called, leaning out the window with a grin. “The ice cream’s gonna melt.”
Eddie got in. He looked nervously at Steve and licked his lips again.
“Seatbelt,” Steve prompted as he checked his mirrors. He turned to face Eddie as soon as his seatbelt was buckled. Eddie looked back at him
“We'll drop this stuff off with Wayne,” Steve said, “and then I'm taking you out to dinner. My treat.” He reached out and ran his thumb over Eddie's cheek, then turned back to start the car. “Rat-faced,” he muttered disdainfully under his breath as they pulled out of the parking lot.
If you held a gun to his head later, Eddie would never be able to tell you a single thing about the rest of that drive.

Are you f****** kidding me?!
Masterlist
Pairings: Natasha romanoff x reader
Prompt: y/n has very bad trauma with alcoholism in her family, so she never drinks. Natasha never pushes it and is always protective of her decisions but what happens when the boys play a little “prank”on y/n?
Warnings: trauma, ptsd in a way?, reader freaks out, getting drunk, spiked drinks, protective nat, swearing, mentions of sh, fake allergic reaction.
A/N: guys sometimes I’m not great at explaining things in the warnings. So I put a question mark lol. I hope y’all understand it though.
Y/n’s pov
Once again I’m at one of Tony’s parties. I think his excuse this week is his mom’s business partner’s daughter is having a birthday soon.
Whatever. There’s no point in actually caring it’s just another ploy for him to get drunk.
I usually leave before that time.
I start off my night with a water. I plan to finish the night with the same. Then suddenly Pietro comes up to me with Sam and says
“Hey y/n!”
I smile at him and notice he’s holding two drinks.
“Hey Piet. What are you doing?”
He smiles and says
“Bringing a drink to my favorite person.”
I roll my eyes at him. We get along because we like to prank people a lot. And play video games.
I frown as he hands me a drink and I say
“Piet you know I don’t drink”
He curses under his breath and says
“Oh right yeah! Let me take that and I’ll get you a virgin drink yeah?”
I nod my head and thank him as they both walk away. I guess Sam is just trailing along.
After a few minutes they come back and hand me a different drink and I say
“What is this?”
He looks at it and says
“A drink doofus”
I roll my eyes at his antics and say
“No I mean what’s in this drink?”
He looks at Sam and says
“It’s like a celcius!”
Sam agrees quickly and I say
“Oh. So like an energy drink?”
They both nod their head in unison and I smirk and say
“Thanks guys. You know I have a hard time with these things. Especially since nat is on a mission right now.”
Sam wanders off and Piet stays by me as I drink a few sips. It’s pretty good.
We talk a bit and Piet says
“How is that flavor? I have something else and I was just wondering.”
I smile and say
“It’s orange I think. Not the best but it’s decent.”
His eyes have a fire in them and he says
“Here! Why don’t I get you a different flavor?”
I nod and say
“I’m sure two wouldn’t hurt right? It’s only energy drinks and they don’t really affect me”
He nods and says he’ll be right back so I finish off my drink and wait for him.
When he comes back he has a slightly pink tinted drink for me and i immediately try it.
“This one is good!”
He nods his head.
I have about three of those drinks and I’m starting to feel great. My stomach hurts a bit but I feel fine.
And this girl is talking to me and her jokes are literally so funny. Like I have the giggles or something.
We start dancing and then I somehow end up with Wanda. We’re best friends but we are not leaving any room for Jesus. I usually don’t have this much fun at these parties.
Then I end up on a couch with another girl by my side and I’m just talking her ear off. She looks interested.
All of a sudden I get a rush of heat over my face. I just zone out trying to pinpoint what’s going on.
By now the girl has left and I see a flash of red come in my view.
“Y/n? Y/n detka focus on me. Where are you baby?”
My beautiful girlfriend Natasha pulls me from my trance and I throw myself on her and say
“Natty!!”
She lets me hug her and I get another rush of that feeling again.
She notices and says
“Are you alright?”
I nod my head and then think, and shake my head.
“What’s wrong detka?”
I lean on her shoulder as she sits next to me and I say
“I don’t know. I feel weird.”
Natasha looks at the table and sees three glasses and says
“Are those yours?”
I nod and smile
“Piet got me these three flavors of energy drinks. I can’t remember what he said they were called though. But he said they were like celcius”
She nods and grabs one of the glasses. She picks it up to her nose and smells it and sets it back down.
“Y/n you said you liked these? And you wanted them?”
I nod me head and say
“They were really yummy but I think they’re hurting my tummy a bit”
I pout and she looks to the side as if she’s scanning the crowd for someone. I follow her eyes and they land on Pietro and Sam who are giggling like teen girls. I slur out
“What are they laughing at natty?”
She looks to the side unsure of what to say and my eyes widen and I sit up. This realization has my mind sobered up a bit and I look at her with tears in my eyes.
“Nat? Is that alcohol?”
She bites her lip unsure of what to do but she nods her head and I say
“Pietro and Sam told me it wasn’t. They said they got me a virgin kind.”
She shakes her head and says
“I’m so sorry baby”
I shake my head and push her away. I immediately get up and walk off. I almost bump into a few people and I trip up a bit but not bad. I go straight to our room and Natasha decided to stay back to handle the perpetrators.
She makes sure Friday alerts her if I end up anywhere other than our room.
Nobody’s pov
To say Natasha was angry was an understatement.
She was furious.
She had to watch you storm off to probably go and cry because of what they did to you.
She stands up and brushes herself off. And then she calmly walks over to Pietro and Sam.
They say
“Oh hey nat! You’re back!”
Natasha smiles at them and says
“You wouldn’t happen to know what was in those drinks that you gave y/n would you?”
They shrug their shoulders and say
“What drinks? What are you talking about?”
Natasha is pissed so her patience is gone and she grabs them both by the ear and pulls them to the side of the room.
The noise isn’t any less quiet, it’s just out of the way.
And she goes ballistic.
“Are you fucking kidding me?! Do you know what you did to her?! Everybody knows that y/n doesn’t drink because of her fears that she will end up like her father. She’s probably in our room now panicking about how she’s an alcoholic from three drinks!! And you!”
She points to Pietro
“You know better than to do that! You know she has problems. And you still did that! I should have the both of you banned from stark parties forever! You both intentionally spiked her drink! You two are literally dead!”
By now the room is silent from how loud Natasha is screaming at them. All eyes are on them but she doesn’t care.
“She was your friend and you did this to her! That is the ultimate betrayal and I wouldn’t blame her if she never wants to see your faces again! Get out of here. I don’t want to see you at another party! And I expect there to be ample apologies tomorrow!”
They nod and scurry off. Wanda is behind natashw now and she gives her a look as if she’s asking if they really did that to you and Natasha nods her head.
Wanda’s eyes glow red and she walks off in Pietro direction.
After Natasha knows they’ll be handled she smooths out her shirt and looks around at everyone gawking at her.
She raises and eyebrow and says
“Would anybody like to go with them?”
They all shake their heads and go back to partying.
Natasha goes upstairs to find you in your room.
She slowly walks up to your ball of a self and says
“Y/n? Are you alright?”
Apparently she chose the wrong set of words because you shoot up and say
“No im not alright! How can I be alright?! I’m literally drunk because I’m a lightweight and I feel disgusting because I liked it. And that’s why I never drink because I’m just like my father and I’ll like that shit and I’ll probably get hooked on it now!”
You are pacing back and forth and your breathing is erratic so Natasha goes up and grabs you and says
“Woah woah woah. Detka please calm down. You need to hear me. You are not an alcoholic from getting drunk once. You know that you don’t drink and that you won’t drink. Just because you liked the alcohol does not mean you are hooked okay? You clearly don’t like being drunk at all because it is hurting you.”
You are now just standing in Natasha’s grasp as she speaks to you.
“And you are most definitely not your father. You know now to not trust them with drinks anymore. Listen. I’m so sorry they did that to you. But you need to know it is not your fault. At. All. They spiked your drink knowing that you don’t drink for a reason.”
Y/n’s pov
I nod my head taking in all this information. And I tear up a bit.
“Hey hey don’t cry baby. It’s okay. It’s not your fault”
I shake my head as some tears start to fall and I say
“No no. I’m not crying because of this. I’m crying because you’re so good to me. Nobody would have reassured me like this except you. I just love you so much.”
We both smile and kiss each other and then we pull away because there is a knock at the door and I softly say
“Come in”
Wanda steps in and says
“Hey. How are you?”
I smile and say
“Still drunk”
I laugh and Wanda says
“Do you want me to get you a water?”
Natasha shakes her head and says
“We keep bottles of water in our room. I’ll grab her one.”
Wanda nods and says
“Right well I just wanted to let you know that I just got onto both their asses again and they are on probation for two months”
I furrow my eyebrows and say
“Probation?”
Wanda explains to me that probation is basically they don’t get any missions for two months. And she also added in there that they have to do my mission reports for that length of time too which is amazing since I hate mission reports.
“Wow Wands. That’s so sweet. Thank you”
She shakes her head and says
“No problem. Now I have one more question. They want to come in and apologize to you. Is that okay? I just want to check.”
I think about it and Natasha says
“You don’t have to agree detka. They can sulk in their rooms for now.”
I smile when I get a devious idea.
“What if you guys help me prank them back!”
They raise their eyebrows in concern and say
“What kind of prank?”
I think and say
“I can use my makeup skills and pretend I cut myself because of how bad my mind got!”
Their eyes widen and they say
“Woah there. That’s a little much.”
“Yeah Wanda’s right. Maybe a less intense prank?”
I sigh and nod my head. And then I completely forget about my idea when I say
“Wanda! You can use your powers to temporarily distort my face and body and we can prank them by saying I’m having an allergic reaction to the alcohol! Make them regret it even more!”
Wanda smiles and says
“I think that’s a good idea, but you’ve already had the alcohol in your system for a while. I think allergic reactions happen faster”
Natasha says
“They’re stupid. We can say it was a late onset reaction”
I nod my head aggressively. A little too aggressive though so I say
“Woah. Too much head shake there”
Natasha stabilizes me as Wanda says
“Alright. Why don’t you sit on the ground and I’ll work my magic?”
I sit down a little slowly so that I don’t get woozy or anything and while I’m waiting, Natasha gets me a water to help me sober up.
Wanda then distorts my face to look all red and blotchy and I get fake hives everywhere. I smile and say
“Nat. When were pranking them we can go in my bedside table and grab my old inhaler. I can use it to puff and it won’t do anything, and say I’m out!”
She nods her head. Anything to make me feel better.
And Wanda steps out and says
“I’ll be back with the boys.”
I giggle at my devious plan and Natasha says
“You’re gonna have to stop giggling if you want them to believe it”
I nod my head and get in serious mode. I lie myself in Natasha’s lap as she sits on her knees to pretend like she’s cradling me.
We here Wanda walking back and saying
“You better apologize and mean it”
They reply with a few “yes ma’am’s” and Natasha decided now is a good time.
“Wanda!”
She all but yells.
Thank goodness the party is still going so nobody else can hear.
Wanda runs in with Pietro and Sam hot on her tail and they see me.
Natasha puts on a facade that she’s freaking out and I make my breathing labored as if my lungs are closing up.
“Wanda! Help me out here! Y/n’s having an allergic reaction to the alcohol! I need her inhaler!”
Wanda jumps into action and says
“Where is it?!”
“In her bedside table”
Wanda runs to get it and only now can I see the boys. Their faces are ghostlike when they realize what they’ve done.
I fake puff the inhaler and shake my head. Natasha checks it and says
“Fuck.”
Pietro and Sam are now freaking out and saying
“Wait she can’t have an allergic reaction it’s been like forever!”
Natasha responds with
“It’s late onset and now her inhaler is empty! None of this would have happened if you didn’t spike her drinks!”
I gasp and say
“Epi… pen”
And Natasha remembers I have an epipen for if I get stung by a bee. And there’s a trainer in the bag so she grabs the trainer and they freak out.
She uses the trainer which does nothing but make a click sound and then she sighs as Wanda makes the reaction fade slightly.
They all sigh in relief and Sam and Pietro are the first to say something
“Y/n we’re so sorry. We had no idea this would happen!”
“Yeah we wouldn’t have done it if we knew!”
Natasha looks up and says
“But you would have done it even though you knew about her father?”
Their faces once again go like ghosts and I start laughing at them.
They’re confused and Wanda starts to giggle.
I hop up and say
“You idiots! We pranked you back!”
They stand there confused. Sam is the first to say
“But- but you used an epipen”
I shake my head and say
“That’s the trainer. It helps people know what to do in a real situation. The trainer doesn’t have a needle or medication in it”
He sighs and says
“What about your inhaler?”
I shrug and say
“Empty one. Doesn’t do anything anymore.”
Pietro is just silent and I say
“Aww Piet. Are you sad that I just pranked you?”
He shakes out of it and starts apologizing.
“I’m sorry. I’m so sorry. Please forgive me. I know you didn’t have a reaction but I’m sorry because I didn’t think about why you don’t drink. I knew why but I ignored it.”
I sigh and say.
“I forgive you Piet. Just remember that we don’t do pranks that cause harm to someone.”
He nods and I turn to Sam
“And I forgive you too. Now both of you. I’d like to inform you that I have been letting my mission reports back up and I’m glad to tell you that you have until the end of the week to finish five of them”
They groan and say
“Yes ma’am”
I smile and they leave. I turn to Wanda and say
“Thanks fairy wand. You made me feel a lot better”
And I turn to Natasha and say
“Thank you too”
Wanda leaves and we get into bed (not without me putting up a fight) and Natasha makes me finish the bottle before I fall asleep.
“Thank you natty. You’re so good to me”
She smiles and says
“You’re a little devil when you’re drunk you know that?”
I smile and say
“Eh. I’ll be fine tomorrow”
She rolls her eyes and we fall asleep in each others eyes with Natasha knowing I’m gonna be worse when I’m hungover.

⋆. 𐙚 ˚ Busy schedule ! . . . ( 西村力 )
— pairing: 西村力 x reader — contains: angst, readers a lonely clingy loser, mean ki, fluff — now playing: 一子青葉
"She became a victim of my busy schedule though, and I know that it's not fair that don't mean that I don't care."
Riki was always busy. He had a bunch of extracurriculars he did for school on top of dance, so you never really got the chance to see him anymore.
He'd always apologize, saying he knew it sucked never getting any of his attention but in the end, nothing ever changed. He was still busy and you still rode the train home alone every day.
Riding the train by yourself wasn't a new concept, lonely yeah but you got used to it eventually.
People on the train were usually either elders coming home from work or students huddling in groups of themselves, and it sounds depressing but beyond Riki, you didn't really have friends, which was okay. Until Riki joined a bunch of extracurriculars beyond his daily dance practice, which left him no time for you.
And it's bad to think about but the thought eventually got a hold of you and you started wondering if Riki enjoyed not being around you as often. You were clingy so it was understandable wanting some space from you, it still made you upset to think about though.
This thought alone has caused you to distance yourself from Riki subconsciously, which despite how busy he is he noticed because you're still his girlfriend after all.
-
The train was often packed with teenagers on the way home, you'd think you'd bump into someone and make friends for once but not once has it happened. You've begun to lose hope in talking to people.
Sure you could strike up a conversation but that's terrifying so you choose not to, which is probably one of the reasons you don't have any friends. How you started knowing Riki on the other hand was a grace from god.
In middle school, Riki came up to you rather then the other way around and asked to be friend's.
Spacing out on the train, thinking to yourself made you realize just how lonely you were when he was he wasn't around. Considering he's been your only friend since you guys were 12, being 18 in high school now. You've become slightly dependent on him, and it's another thing you've added to the long list of your lonely life.
Long lost in thought you feel a head hit your shoulder, you jump slightly cause it startled you but when you look to your right its a boy. Probably fell asleep, why else would he put his head on a stranger's shoulder.
Your body tensed up a bit, it was kinda hard to not be tense with someone resting on you.
You wanted to wake him and ask him to move but disrupting him wasn't in your best interest so you left him alone. On the plus side his hair smelled really nice.
-
The train came to an abrupt stop which shook the boy awake
Realizing he had fallen asleep on a stranger, he stood up and started apologizing profusely like a scolded child.
You followed in his steps and stood up, letting out shaky reassurance and telling him not to worry about it. It was overwhelming with people around looking at the two of you but eventually, he calmed down and explained himself "I really didn't mean to fall asleep on you like that, let me make it up to you!"
He was enthusiastic and energetic, especially for someone who was just freaking out.
"Oh oh no need! Really it's not a big deal." Still shaky you tried to convince him he was blowing it out of proportion. He wasn't taking no for an answer and he even managed to get your number so he could apologize more properly later.
After that he said goodbye and ran off the train, leaving you dumbfounded. You kind of just spaced out the rest of the way home, the whole situation was so dumb it was kind of funny.
So funny you wanted to tell Riki which you planned to do when you guys called tonight, you guys always called sometime before bed.
It was a point he made. No matter how busy he was and how little time he had for you, he'd always call.
You laid in bed waiting, and waiting, and waiting.
12am and no call. You weren't mad at him, you understood he couldn't always be there but you thought some notice would've been nice, instead of just laying there for hours on your phone.
Time passed and you gave up on waiting for a call. You placed your phone on your nightstand and got in bed.
Your mind started to wander, what was he doing that was so important? All of his activities end before 5 so why couldn't he call you? Was he okay? Was it a family thing? Did you do something?
In the midst of thinking you fell asleep.
-
In English the next day, during break time. It was your 4th period and Riki had yet to even mutter a word to you. As time passed, it was getting more upsetting and even more nerve-wracking.
You scanned over everything that's happened the past few days and you couldn't think of anything you've done.
You looked back at Riki to see him sitting at his desk analyzing his work, but you turned back around when you got a text.
Some random number that you didn't have saved.
"You're in English rn right?" The text creeped you out a bit, so you pressed to know who it was "Oh shit sorry! Just realizing I never gave you my name yesterday! It's Akio from the train. I wanted to come say hi if you were in English :)" Knowing it was him made it sorta less creepy feeling, he was still technically a stranger though.
You hesitated on replying but gave in "Ohh right haha, yeah I'm in English"
He liked the message but didn't actually say anything back.
Eventually, he came swinging in loudly with a booming "HI" as soon as he opened the door. It shocked not only you but everyone.
Riki who was staring at the boy in confusion.
Riki's eyebrows furrowed even more as he saw the boy walk up to you and hug you like you'd known him forever, slightly glaring at the boy. He sit's down in the chair next to you "What class do you have next?" His voice still much too loud for the atmosphere, the girl next to us shushed him, in which he apologized quietly and turned back to you.
"Uh math." You said quietly, shaken up by the boys incredibly friendly demeanor.
The boy started rambling on about how that was his next class too and how it's surprising you guys hadn't become friends sooner, all while you look back at Riki to see him still eyeing the boy down.
Riki got easily jealous, and he was possessive, but this looked more like confusion and annoyance then anything.
While on the other hand luckily for you the boy tended to talk more then he listened which was good as you were still too nervous to talk to him like a normal person.
Once Riki realized you weren't all that invested in what the boy had to say he finally took his eyes off of the boy and returned to his work.
After what felt like forever of Akio rambling and you silently smiling and nodding, it was time for Math.
Besides Math and English, you and the boy didn't have any other classes together, so the rest of the day went as normal, besides the fact that Riki seemed busier than usual and wasn't talking to you.
But the way home from school was different.
On the train ride home, you were walking to sit where you usually do when a familiar voice started to yell for you, you turned around, and it was Akio.
He grabbed your wrist and pulled you to a seat, exclaiming that now you had someone to ride the train with. Before you could get a word in, he continued, once again going on about anything and everything.
He was a bit over the top for you, but you had to admit, he was nice, and the company was nice too.
-
The train came to a stop, and you said your goodbyes, he offered to walk you home, but you declined. You told him you lived a bit from the station, and he left it at that. Getting home you got into some comfy clothes and passed out.
Asleep for about an hour and a half, you were awoken by a text from Riki
All it read was "I'm coming over" Don't get me wrong you were excited he was coming over; this was the first time in a while, but you were still upset with him for not only not calling you but also ignoring you all day. So you just texted back a simple "ok" and started your homework while waiting for him to arrive.
He didn't live very far so it didn't take long, as soon as he got there, he plopped on your bed and gave you a look.
You asked him what it was for, and he stayed silent for a few seconds followed by a contemplating hum, "Who was he? The guy in English that was acting all buddy-buddy with you?" He said it so calmly as if he didn't care if he got an answer.
"Ohh I met him on the train" You turned back to the homework on your desk "He fell asleep on me and asked for my number so he could apologize later!" his brows furrowed and his eyes creased a bit, "Seriously?"
You nodded and he continued "He gave you his number so he could 'apologize later'?" You again nodded at his very sarcastic question.
His tongue played with the inside of his cheek "Has he apologized yet?" He sounded almost annoyed
You chuckled nervously, his gaze was strong and intimidating.
"No, not yet.." He let out a 'psh' sound, he was clearly annoyed but not with you. More so with the situation. "He gave you his number cause he thought you were cute. Not cause he wanted to apologize." His voice was deeper
You didn't believe it so you rebutted "That's not true ki, I'm sure he'll apologize soon!" He continued to look at you, almost like he was trying to analyze what you were thinking. "Block him" He sits up on your bed
"What??"
He repeats himself "Block him"
"Why Riki."
"Are you dumb? He clearly doesn't want to just apologize. Does he know you have a boyfriend?" He started to sound angry, almost a little sad sounding. "How do you know that? You've never met him."
"I've met guys like him and you didn't answer my question, does he know you have a boyfriend? Me? Does he know you have me?"
You opened your mouth but nothing came out for a second, "I don't know? I mean I didn't mention it" Before you can finish, he tsk's and looks away "But the only reason I didn't mention it was cause he didn't ask Riki. I really don't think he's trying to get with me."
He ignored you "What's so good about him anyway?" He was starting to get fed up "He's nice Riki. I mean he made time to see me in English today despite being busy himself." You emphasized the 'made time to see me' part which Riki took as a jab.
You didn't necessarily mean it as one but you were tired of never seeing your boyfriend and so it just kinda came out. "You know I try to make time for you." Instead of sounding annoyed, he sounded genuinely hurt and tired, he looked down a bit as he continued "And I know that you don't really have friends besides me but you shouldn't befriend the first person that talks to you." He gets off your bed and heads to the door, "It's stupid and pathetic." He finishes before he shuts the door, harder than he should have.
His voice was laced with venom, almost like the sadness from before completely desecrated. And it left you dumbfounded too.
You weren't one to cry, you didn't cry about anything.
Not that you couldn't, but you made a point not to. It's pathetic and embarrassing, but despite that, you felt your eyes well up. You wiped them before anything could come out and decided to head to bed early. Couldn't cry if you weren't awake!
Granted it took forever to get to sleep, but you kept replaying what Riki said non-stop. 'Stupid and pathetic' weren't new words to you, but when they came out of Riki's mouth they felt a million times worse.
-
Going to School was dreadful, more than before.
Riki was avoiding you and so you were avoiding him back. You continued to hang out with Akio, it probably wasn't the best idea but you rather hang out with someone Riki doesn't like than be lonely again.
A whole week of this pettiness has gone by, nightly phone calls have stopped, goodnight and good morning texts, walking you to and from school whenever he had the chance, all of it stopped.
You know you shouldn't totally blame Ki, it wasn't completely his fault. You said some mean stuff too, but you couldn't help but be so angry at him despite it all.
Of course, you guys have gotten into arguments, and of course, with those arguments came insults but he'd never said something so cruel to you, something you confided in him he used against you, which hurt the most.
Everything was too much to think about so you dove into your studies, more than you already were. Not only studies but other things too, anything to get your mind off of it. Throwing yourself into things isn't a new concept for you, you did it whenever you got overly anxious. It would cause you to eat less, go outside less, and socialize even less than you usually do. Now the difference between then and now is you'd usually have Riki to make you feel better, but you don't so sitting in your dark room all day will continue.
Riki on the other hand, doesn't know what he's feeling. Though he's noticed you not taking care of yourself properly which is making him feel crazy guilty, he knows it's because of him.
Riki's so mad at you for choosing some other guy but he feels so bad for the things he said.
He didn't mean it, he knew you knew that, at least he hoped.
He just wanted to apologize and make it all better but he couldn't. His pride mixed with not having a lot of time made it hard to talk to you so he just didn't bother. Plus he wanted to truly work out what he was going to say before he attempted to talk to you.
He'd catch your eyes in every class, in the lunchroom, in the auditorium, everywhere. He wanted to see your face, he wanted to see you and hold you but he just couldn't let himself be vulnerable and admit he misses you. He's hoping you'd do that but you were just as 'non-vulnerable' as he was, maybe even more.
Which meant he'd either have to make it up to you or lose you over some random boy you met a few weeks ago. Luckily for you, he's sickly in love with you whether he'd admit it or not so he chose the former.
-
It wasn't spontaneous, Riki thought it over.
He planned when it would happen, how it would happen, where it would happen, and what he thought the outcome would be. He wanted to start it all off by making sure to spend the whole day with you.
So he went to your house before school, he loved walking you to school but he rarely got to do it since he had to be at school so early. But the way you get all giddy when you see him at the door makes him happy so he canceled morning activities to walk you.
Seeing him at the door was a little surprising, especially cause he didn't knock, you opened it before he could and the walk to school was uneventful. Silent, but not awkward.
Riki didn't try to hold your hand. He didn't want to make you upset by acting like nothing was wrong, but when passing by a little shop he grabbed your wrist and pulled you inside.
At the rate you two were going you would've been early to school, and he saw something in the window he knows you've been eyeing so why not.
He didn't say anything as he pulled you through the shop up to where the display was.
A large stand with matching phone charms.
It was a niche interest you had, and you had tons of them at home but the thing about these ones is that they're matching.
Two long chains, decorated with beads that had small charms on the end. One with black beads and a white star on the end, the other with white beads and a black star on the end.
Riki knew you had been looking at them for a while, thinking it was cute considering his favorite color is black and yours is white.
He found matching things cute, he found it even cuter when you'd get a tint of rose on your cheeks and try to hide your smile as you showed him a new piece of matching items you bought for the two of you.
He thought about this as he walked to the register, making his own cheeks turn a slight shade of pink as he looked at you. You weren't looking at him but it didn't go unnoticed.
Walking out of the store, chains in hand, without letting go of your wrist Riki asks for your phone and puts the charm on.
He does the same for his phone and then holds them up together in his hand to show them off.
You tried to act non-cholent but your dumb little smile made its way onto your face and made Riki smile even harder as he handed you your phone back, and you guys continued walking.
You hated your smile. You felt it was too... cheeky. Too wide, and it made your cheeks all big.
But Riki adored it. The way your eyes would light up and close a little every time something made you happy, or how you'd cover your mouth if you felt you were smiling too much, just for him to pull your hand down and hold it in his. He loved your smile, he always looked for it everywhere he was, he especially loved it when it was he who was the one causing it.
He knew he couldn't always be the reason you were smiling but as long as you were happy it didn't matter to him.
He kept on glancing at you just to see you smiling and looking at the phone charm, you saw him doing it but didn't say anything. You thought it was cute how cheesy he acted when he thought no one was looking.
-
The rest of the school day was normal for the most part; the assigned seats of each class were fumbling with Riki's plans to be by your side all day, which he knew would happen.
Tables in your class were set in pairs of two, you were at the front of the class seated with a girl you barely knew and Riki was a few seats behind.
As break time started, Riki used his height to his advantage and threw a piece of paper above the guy in front of him and it landed perfectly on your desk. You looked back to see who it was, despite already knowing. You gave him a small smile which made him melt, and as you opened it you saw two stick figures holding hands in a flower field.
It was cheesy, yeah but it was cute. Cuter coming from Riki as he wasn't one for cutesy things.
He would write cute little notes and letters to stick in your locker but that was rare, so this act made you blush so bad you had to hide your face slightly.
You went to draw a cute photo back but before you could even get your pen out Akio spotted you and caught your attention.
Riki tried to ignore it, he didn't like the guy yeah but he also knew he was your first friend besides himself so he wanted to attempt to become friends with him for your sake.
Looking at Akio you saw Riki come up behind him. They had never stood side by side so you never realized how much taller Riki was in comparison and it shocked Akio too as he let out a child-like yelp when he turned around and saw Riki behind him.
You could tell Akio put his guard up a little.
-
During Riki and your petty silent treatment towards each other, you talked to Akio about how you were dating Riki and that you still wanted to be his friend but there needed to be a bit of distance.
He took it really well which was lucky for you as you had a hard time confronting people.
-
Akio backed up a little from Riki who was giving him a slightly annoyed-confused look, and bumped into your desk.
He wasn't scared of Riki per se, but Riki was intimidating. Tall, broad, cold stare, etc.
But in the moment of silence, Riki begrudgingly introduced himself.
Akio stood up a bit and introduced himself back, voice kinda shaky which made Riki chuckle. Akio, who has proved himself to make friends easily, quickly got comfortable with Riki and started talking about anything and everything.
As the conversation went on, Riki took the seat next to you as the girl had left a bit ago.
Riki grabbed your hand under the table, another thing he didn't often do as PDA wasn't something he enjoyed.
Eventually, the break was over, and it was time for the next class.
Akio said his goodbyes and ran off, Riki on the other hand wanted to walk you to your next class.
Walking to class, Riki had yet to let go of your hand, rubbing his thumb back and forth here and there.
And luckily the class was on the other side of the building which left you guys some time to talk, or more specifically some time for him to apologize.
He looked over at you almost nervously and squeezed your hand the tiniest bit before starting.
"I didn't mean it." He wasn't the greatest at starting apologies or apologizing in general, and although you were pretty sure you knew what he was talking about, you still asked. "Didn't mean what?"
He took a sharp breath in "When I said you were stupid and pathetic, just overall being a jerk..." he paused and looked at you before continuing.
"But that's not even all, I haven't been making any time for you, I was petty and ignored you, I got overly jealous and possessive, and I have just been a huge asshole." You were so focused on him apologizing that you hadn't even realized you guys weren't in the school building anymore, you were outside behind the school, in the small garden the school had created not too long ago.
"What are we doing out here?" You looked at him with confusion "I wanted to talk with you more privately."
"We're gonna get in trouble for skipping class, Ki."
"Don't worry about it, okay? I'll take all the blame." You looked at him, debating if you should stay out here or convince him to talk later but his eyes were almost pleading for you to stay out there, and so you listened. "Fine," you said with a slight smile.
He took a second to collect his thoughts and how he was going to go about this but eventually, he got it and started.
"I'm sorry I've left you alone so long. And I'm truly so sorry that I never made time for you, a busy schedule isn't an excuse to be distant, and I need to learn that."
"Rik-" You tried to cut him off and say it wasn't his fault but he didn't let you. "Wait just, wait okay." You shut up
"I care about you so much, you're truly the only one for me, and you mean the world to me. What I said during our fight was so fucked up, and I need you to know I didn't mean any of it. I want to be around you all the time, but I know I can't, and I'm glad you found someone you can be with when I'm not around.
I want you to know that I want to make all of this up to you. All the lost time, the phone calls I missed, the dates, just hanging out together, I want to make up for all of it. And I will, I promise.
I love you. A lot, and I'm gonna prove it this time. I'm going to be the best boyfriend you can ask for and I'm going to be your best friend again. Okay? I'm going to spend as much time as I possibly can with you. I love you so much. You don't have to forgive me now but I-"
"Riki." You successfully cut him off this time as he was starting to run out of breath and his cheeks were all pink.
He looks at you like a scolded puppy, catching his breath a little, Pure word vomit he thought.
"I love you too, so much. And I promise I'm not mad. It hurt never seeing you, yeah, and we definitely have distanced, ourselves as both a couple and friend but it's not your fault. You're busy and I understand okay?" He gave you an apologetic small smile before bringing you into a hug
It was warm and loving, just as all of Riki's hugs were.
He put his head into the crook of your neck, "I missed this so much" He mumbled, squeezing his arms around you tighter. "I'll do better. I promise." You smiled and softly caressed his hair. "I love you Ki."
"I love you too baby. So much."
-
Later throughout the day Riki walked you to every class, smiled at you whenever your eyes met, and was friendly with Akio whenever he came around.
After school, he came to your house and you guys just laid with each other. Something you hadn't done in ages, and although you knew he wouldn't be able to do this every day, you were just happy he was trying to make more time for you, and he was just happy to have his girlfriend back.

_______________
Dean was shrugging his shoulders at you from the other side of the kitchen table. The fact his twin was setting a cup of coffee down in front of him wasn’t the strangest thing you’d ever ran into but it was certainly up there.
“So...this is fucking weird,” said the other Dean, a few less bags under his eyes than yours.
“Yeah, you’re telling us,” said your Dean, the other one nodding his head.
“Well, Y/N should be home from the store soon,” said the other Dean, chuckling when he saw you shake your head. “You can call me something else if it makes it easier for you to keep it all straight.”
“We could call him Red,” said Dean, smirking over at you.
“Oh come on,” you said, blushing as you looked at your lap. “Not in front of...”
“Red shirt of sex?” asked the other Dean, Red you figured you were going with.
“Yours does it too!” said Dean, the pair laughing to themselves. “Some things even time and space can’t contain.”
“It is a pretty lucky shirt,” said Red with a smile, grabbing your cup of coffee when the machine buzzed off. “Here you go.”
“Thanks,” you said, Red taking a deep breath. “What?”
“You guys smell weird is all,” he said, both your and Dean’s heads cocking. “I’ll uh, explain once Y/N gets home. She’s better at words and crap.”
“So...” said Dean, tapping his fingers on the nice kitchen table. “Nice house.”
“Built it myself,” said Red, stretching in his seat. “Took nearly a year. Y/N has the patience of a saint. I mean, it helped I had my crew of guys working on it but still, a track home would have been much easier to go with. You don’t get character when you go that route though.”
Dean just hummed, sipping from his cup as he gave you a look. You and Dean had never once thought about building a house or living in the suburbs or anything remotely close to that. Two childhoods worth of motel rooms were what you had, the bunker your home but even that was nothing like the place you were sat in.
“Thanks again for not shooting us when we popped up in your backyard,” you said with a smile, Red nodding.
“I really didn’t want to mow the lawn today anyways,” he said, eyes drawn to the back window where the rift had been. Something screwed up though. It shut almost immediately, trapping you and Dean in this other world until you could figure out how to hitch a ride back home. “What’s your guys world like again?”
“Looks just like this,” you said.
“Except we hunt monsters,” said Dean. Red raised an eyebrow but only took a long sip of coffee. “You’re not freaking out over that?”
“The freak out moment has passed for me,” he said. “Monsters...that’s intense.”
“Yup,” you and Dean said, thankful when you heard a sound come from the next room over.
“Excuse me,” said Red, standing up quickly, returning a moment later with a baby on his hip. “Hey pup, this is me and your mom from another universe. They hunt monsters...this is so totally going to sound insane to her when she gets back.”
“He’s so cute,” you said, standing up and taking a look at him.
“They have kids,” said Dean, running a hand through his hair.
“You guys don’t?” asked Red.
“Our lives aren’t what I’d call safe,” said Dean, Red nodding his head.
“I get you,” said Red, the front door opening somewhere else in the house.
“Alpha, I’m home! Can you get the heavy stuff out of the trunk?” you heard a voice eerily similar to your own shout.
“Coming Omega,” said Red, putting the baby in your arms. “Could you watch the pup for a minute?”
“Is it just me or do these guys have some weird names for stuff?” you asked, holding the smiling baby on your hip.
“He keeps calling his kid a pup. Like a puppy?” asked Dean, his eyes wide when you heard the floor creak behind you.
“Well, he did say there was some epically weird shit happening in the kitchen,” said another you, scratching her head with her free hand.
“Hi,” you said, the other you reaching for her baby. “I’m Y/N.”
“Yeah. Me too but I’m guessing you already knew that,” she said. “Is handsome over there, Dean?”
“Yeah, sweetheart,” said Dean.
“Oh, good,” she said, setting a bag on the counter. “This is completely normal.”
An hour later you were sat in the Winchester’s living room, Red and Lila, at least that was the name you’d decided on calling the other you for now, sitting down on another couch.
“Okay, so I have a question,” said Lila, Red tsking her. “We can’t smell you guys. What are you?”
“Huh?” you and Dean said, looking at one another.
“Well if you’re like us, Dean should be Alpha and Y/N Omega but you two smell flat, like nothing. It’s weird,” said Lila.
“I don’t think our dynamic exists where they come from, Omega,” said Red. Lila stared at you for a good long while before she stood up and threw her hair up in a bun, revealing a bite mark on her neck.
“This...” she said, pointing at the spot, “Is a claiming bite. Dean, er Red, gave it to me when we mated and he claimed me. You guys are saying you have none of that?”
“Dude, I know she likes a little nibble but don’t actually bite her,” said Dean, scrunching up his face at Red. “Don’t tell me you’re some kind of asshole.”
“Red’s being very patient with you right now so I’d back off,” said Lila.
“Relax,” said Red, wrapping his arms around Lila’s shoulders. “She’s getting close to heat. She gets a little protective during that time.”
“You should see this one on her period,” said Dean, pointing at you.
“Speaking of which, if we don’t get out of here soon, I’m going to need to borrow some stuff,” you said, Lila glancing up at Red. “Supplies?”
“Well...we might need to run to the store for you. I think...you guys are like Beta’s right now, even if you don’t smell like it. We can get you whatever you need,” said Red, Dean cocking his head.
“Explain this dynamic thing to us again cause right now, you two sound like a basket full of crazy,” said Dean.
“Says the guy that came through an inter-dimensional rift in my backyard?” asked Lila.
“Dammit, she really is like you,” muttered Dean, Lila smiling to herself.
“It’s pretty simple. We have six genders. A male and female version of the three dynamics, Alpha, Beta and Omega. Beta’s normally pair off together, leaving the Alpha’s and Omega’s to get together,” said Red.
“Yeah but...you bit her,” said Dean.
“Things are a bit more...animalistic here,” said Red, Dean’s face scrunching up. “Come here dude.”
Red got up from the couch, waving Dean to follow. They ducked around the corner, Dean back with wide eyes about ten seconds later.
“Okay, animalistic, got it,” said Dean, staring at his lap. “You’ve got a...fuck.”
“It’s a knot,” said Lila. “A lot of mammals have them actually.”
“Oh, that’s why the baby’s a pup,” you said, Lila smiling that it was starting to make sense to you...in a way.
“It used to be different and it’s still possible for life to be very dangerous for unclaimed Omega’s but Red’s an amazing Alpha to me,” said Lila.
“The Alpha protects it’s pack members or in this case, it’s family?” you asked, Red giving you a thumbs up.
“See? You got a smart one too. It’s not that difficult. The only truly dangerous part is when you’re unmated. But even then they have stuff to hide your scent and very few Alphas are actually bad. Our world is probably safer than yours from what you’ve told us,” said Red.
“I don’t understand the biting thing though,” you said, Dean nodding beside you.
“It’s a bond,” said Lila. “A permanent one. It’s like getting married but you can’t get divorced.”
“That seems...unethical,” you said, both Red and Lila scrunching up their faces.
“If you grew up in this world, you would understand it’s completely natural and safe. We’re partners, no matter what,” said Red. “Like how she was scared when she saw you two in the kitchen but because I knew it was safe, she knew it was safe. It’s a physiological bond down to your core.”
“You love her,” said Dean.
“Yes,” said Red. “She loves me and we’re very happy.”
“We should go,” you said, Dean already on his feet.
“You guys don’t-”
“Lila,” you said with a smile. “Our problem isn’t yours. We’ll find a way back to where we belong without interfering with your lives anymore. Thank you for explaining things to us but we’ll get out of your hair. It’s safer that way.”
“You guys know where we live if you change your mind,” said Red.
“Thanks,” said Dean, spinning back around. “Where do we get those supplies again?”
“A pharmacy, big box store, anywhere really,” said Red.
“Last question...do they have pie here?” asked Dean.
“Dude, the diner on Main...best pie ever,” said Red, already licking his lips.
“We’ll be sure to check it out. Thanks again.”
You and Dean got a few strange looks around the store, Dean standing closer than normal.
“What is wrong with you? Personal space, Dean,” you said, grabbing a box of tampons and pads, tossing them in a basket along with the few other things you’d picked out. You were used to living on the road so this wasn’t that big of a deal...if only Dean would back off of you.
“I don’t know, I just want to be close,” said Dean, snatching the basket from you and quickly paying.
You were halfway down the block to the diner Red had mentioned when Dean put a hand on his forehead.
“Dean? What’s wrong?” you asked, grabbing the bag as he leaned up against the wall. “Dean.”
“Talk about a late bloomer,” said a passerbyer, your glare making him shrug. “He’s starting to present. I never heard of someone that old going through it though.”
“Go away,” you said, Dean throwing his arm over your shoulders, half walking with you as you made your way out of town and back to the Winchesters place.
“Well I didn’t expect...” said Red, scrunching up his nose. “Oh shit. Y/N! We got a problem!”
Red grabbed Dean and started to drag him upstairs, tossing him on a bed as Dean groaned.
“Y/N, you need to go to the pharmacy. I need you to get a first time Alpha pack and Rut medicine. Tell the pharmacist and they will get it for you. Understand?” said Red, shoving his wallet in your hands. “My Y/N, can you get up here please?”
“First time Alpha pack and Rut medicine,” you said, eyes wide as Lila brushed past you and into Dean’s room. “What’s wrong with him?”
“His body is taking on a dynamic. It’s puberty for us basically. I didn’t think...just go and we’ll figure the rest out later,” he said. “Get the medicine and he’ll be okay.”
“Okay,” you said, Red tossing you his car keys.
“Make it fast.”
“Here,” you said twenty minutes later, Dean shouting into a pillow when you got back, Red standing by the door.
“Dean, Y/N got your medicine so...” said Red, Dean huffing and puffing when he saw you. “Dean...”
“She’s gonna turn too isn’t she,” said Dean, clutching at the pillow before it tore in half. “What the fuck?”
“You’re getting stronger, even stronger than you were. It’s an Alpha thing. Y/N, go down the street, dark green house. My Y/N and the pup are there,” said Red.
“I want to stay with Dean,” you said, an arm instantly slapped over the doorway.
“He’s going into his first rut with no idea how to control any of this. If he’s right and you start turning too, he’s gonna claim you without even thinking about it,” said Red. “Go now.”
“I don’t wanna go,” you growled, Dean shaking his head.
“Y/N,” said Dean, wrapping his arms around himself. “Do what he said. I can’t...I’m scared I’ll hurt you. Just go someplace safe for now.”
“He is trying his best not to come over here and take you so leave, now,” said Red.
“You better take care of him,” you said, heading down the stairs.
“I’ll get him through it. Trust me,” said Red.
You jogged outside and spotted a dark green house about a quarter mile down the road, a very pretty ranch with a front porch and two expensive cars in the driveway.
“Hey, Y/N,” said Lila, opening the front door for you. “Red called, he’s going to be dealing with Dean for a while so we’re going to keep an eye on you just in case.”
“Thanks,” you said, stepping inside the warm house, smelling fresh cookies in the air.
“Prepare yourselves for the weirdness,” said Lila, trotting along ahead of you.
“Oh it can’t be that weird,” said Sam as you turned the corner, watching him try to steal a cookie off the sheet, a woman you’d only ever seen in pictures swatting his hand away. “Jess, come on.”
“Wait until they’ve cooled off,” she chided, Sam rolling his eyes as he glanced in your direction.
“Wow. You weren’t kidding with the weird,” he said, walking over with a smile. “I’m-”
“Hi Sammy,” you said, wrapping your arms around him in a way too hard hug but not caring in the slightest.
“Hello other Y/N,” he teased, trying to break free, taking a breath when you finally pulled away. “You alright?”
“Yes. No,” you said, looking him up and down. “You look good, Sam. Sorry, I know you’re not...it’s just been a really hard few months.”
“Okay...” said Sam, Jess pouting beside him when she caught your face.
“Your Sam...” she said. “Oh shit. Are you okay?”
“Yeah,” you said, Lila sighing.
“Her Sam’s gone, Sam,” she said, Sam making an odd noise.
“I’m sorry. This is probably pretty traumatizing then,” he said.
“I’ve seen weirder,” you said. “Dean and I...like I said, it’s been hard. We’ve lost a lot of friends and family recently. But Jess is alive so that’s awesome and did you seriously buy a house down the street from your brother?”
“Uh, he’s sort of pack leader,” said Sam.
“Oldest child is normally the pack leader,” said Lila. “We have our own houses but it’s normal for the family to live close to each other. Plus these guys have a pool.”
“How you feeling, hun?” asked Jess, putting a hand on your forehead. “She’s a little warm.”
“When was your period supposed to start?” asked Lila.
“Tomorrow,” you said, all three sharing a look. “Why...”
“I think Y/N’s going to start presenting soon,” said Jess. “Sammy, go help your brother with our new Alpha. It might take two of you to keep him there.”
“Keep him there? What the hell is Red doing to Dean?” you asked.
“He’s sort of stuck in that room until his rut passes. But if he’s in rut and you’re in heat, he’ll do anything he can to get here and claim you,” said Lila. “It’s best to keep you separated for the moment.”
“Lovely.”
It was close to midnight, Lila poking her head in the room you were staying in with a cranky baby in her arms.
“How you feeling?” she asked.
“Spectacular,” you groaned, Lila taking a seat on the edge of the bed. “I’m changing. I can feel it. I can smell it. I can smell you and that little guy and Jess and...I can even smell Dean down the street.”
“You’re Omega,” said Lila, patting your leg. “You and Dean need to be careful not to mate. I don’t know if whatever’s happening to you will become permanent.”
“Let me ask you a question,” you said, sitting up in bed, the pup turning his head towards you.
“You’re confused, aren’t you Drew? Mommy’s got a twin apparently,” she said, Drew tilting his head and reaching for you.
“How’d you convince your Dean to have one?” you asked, the baby grabbing a piece of your hair and pulling it in his mouth.
“He’s always wanted them,” she said with a smile. “Yours doesn’t?”
“We do but we can’t, not with our lives. We work in a high fatality industry if you want to call it that,” you said. “We wouldn’t do that to them.”
“Well you’re out of a job until we can get you back,” she said, taking Drew off of you. “Take the medicine I gave you again in the morning. It’ll help.”
“Why are you guys helping us?” you asked.
“We might not kick monsters asses on the regular but we do help people out when we can,” said Lila. “Get some rest. You need it, especially during your first heat.”
Three Days Later
“Hey,” you said, following Lila into her house, Dean sitting with Red and Sam in their family room.
“Damn, you smell good,” said Dean, taking a deep breath. “They said you turned too.”
“Yeah. Nothing’s too much different,” you said, Dean nodding his head. “You?”
“Plumbing’s got a new feature,” said Red with a smirk, Lila slapping him on the arm. “He’s an Alpha. He’s got a knot now.”
“What’s that like?” you said, Dean shifting in his seat. You could feel how nervous he was, trying to cover his lap with his hands. “You think I’ll reject you.”
“What the...” said Dean, your own eyes blinking fast at saying that aloud. “How could she...”
“It’s a mate thing,” said Red. “Y/N, Sammy’s been doing some research with Jess and they have a kind of crazy idea.”
“Crazy’s in our wheelhouse,” you said, walking over to sit next to Dean, taking one of his hands in yours.
You felt warmth spread throughout you, filling you up, nostrils inhaling what had been explained to you as Dean’s scent. Only he smelled like the best thing on earth and all you wanted were his teeth sinking into your neck. Sam picked you up and pulled you over to the other couch, Dean swallowing hard as you moved away.
“No touching,” said Sam in your ear, relaxing his hold on you as you realized you’d been squirming to get free. “The research we found was odd but we’re pretty sure that your rift thing will pop back open again. It’s been four days. You guys just need to last another three and then hopefully when you go home, you go back to normal.”
“I looked it over and it’s not exactly what I’d call reliable,” said Dean, crossing his arms. “As far as I can tell, magic, monsters, it doesn’t exist here. It’s an old wives tale Sam’s reading from about what’s probably not the rift.”
“But if magic doesn’t exist here, we can’t get back home,” you said.
“I know. I guess we have to wait and see if it was true.”
Three Days Later
“I can’t believe we’re back again,” you said, glancing around at the quiet bunker, Dean sighing beside you. “What?”
“I’m never going to see Sam again,” he said. “That wasn’t Sam back in there but it was and him and everyone else is gone again. Meanwhile, it’s me and you here, scraping by, giving up everything for nothing.”
“We hunt Dean. It’s what we do,” you said, wrapping your hand around his.
“I want to have a family with you. I want to have kids and a house and we will never, ever have those things here. We’re gonna sit in this bunker, working cases until one of us dies and that’s it. I know I will do this job until the day I die but I wanted a choice dammit and we will never get one,” said Dean. “Never.”
“I think we do have a choice, Dean,” you said, glancing back over your shoulder at the rift. “But we can’t undo it once we make it.”
“Go live there?” asked Dean, nodding behind himself. “What, we gonna play house? Pretend we aren’t screwed up?”
“Beats one of us dying and the other one drinking themselves to death,” you said. “We have saved so many people Dean. The world. This family has given up everything. I don’t want to leave either but we barely have anything left to fight in this place. A monster here or there. Other hunters can handle it. All of our friends and family are in that world and they aren’t ours but think of how they treated us the past week.”
“Like we were family,” said Dean quietly, rubbing his hands over his face.
“I think our friends, our family, they’d want us to be happy again,” you said.
“Say we go back though, I’m stuck as an Alpha and you’re Omega,” said Dean.
“Even in this world, you smell amazing,” you said. “We don’t know if we’ll go back to normal.”
“I still feel like an Alpha,” said Dean, taking a deep breath. “All I want to do is be somewhere safe with you.”
“What do you want to do then?” you asked.
“I say we pack our bags.”
You were blinking furiously a few hours later, Dean panting hard as his hands gripped the steering wheel.
“Fuck!” you heard outside the car, your head whipping to the right to see Red dropping a hose and storming over.
“Hi Red,” you said, slipping out of the car, Red shaking his head.
“Did you bring a freaking car through your magic rift thingy? Why are you even back here? I thought we fixed it,” said Red.
“We uh,” said Dean, looking over to watch the rift close up once and for all. “We sort of moved universes.”
“Okay...” said Red, Dean climbing back in to pull the Impala around to the front of the house and in the street. “You realize saying both Y/N and I had long lost identical twins we never knew about is never going to fly, right?”
“Just say we were out of town, traveling the world,” you said. “Dean and I just wanted to stop by and say hi before we take off. We can find our own quiet corner to hide away in.”
“As pack members, you’re supposed to live close by,” said Red, crossing his arms.
“But we’re not in your pack,” you said.
“Not yet. You will be though,” said Red, kicking at the ground. “Unless you think we’re too weird for you guys with the dynamic thing.”
“I’m pretty sure Dean and I are the freaks around here,” you said, Red nodding his head.
“Well, come inside. We should go over the dynamic crap in a bit more detail now that you’ll be living it.”
“You know what,” said Dean, nuzzling his face in the crook of your neck later that night. Red and Lila had taken Drew over to his parent’s house to spend the night, having their own date night and saying they’d catch up in the morning.
“What,” you sighed, running your hand up and down his back, his new scent coming off his bare back in strong waves, making you warm and calm.
“I’d like to claim you if that’s alright with you,” said Dean.
“You can,” you said, turning your head so Dean lifted his own to look at you.
“Are you sure? Brand new universe, plenty of Alphas in the sea,” he teased.
“I want this one,” you said, putting a hand on his chest. “Red explained it to you?”
“Yeah. I mean, it’s pretty much sex up until the claiming part and instinct will take over,” said Dean. “If you’re ready for that.”
“I’m ready for it. Alpha,” you said, Dean taking a deep breath. “Why doesn’t that sound as corny as it did a week ago?”
“I don’t know, Omega,” said Dean, a smile spreading across your face. “But it damn sure feels right.”
“Oh,” you said, a blush on your cheeks at the sudden wetness between your legs. “Lila mentioned that might happen.”
“Get out of those underwear, Omega. We’re doing this.”
Two Months Later
“You didn’t tell me your Dean was a handyman,” said Lila, sitting on a lawn chair, watching Drew play on his mat in the grass as the boys walked around the freshly dried foundation of your new house.
“He’s good at a lot of things. He knows more about cars than houses but he’ll put in as much manual labor as he can,” you said, Drew crawling over to tug on your leg. “It’s Aunt Y/N, handsome. Here’s your mommy.”
“I think the twins want you,” said Lila, laughing as Dean and Red cocked their heads over at you. At a quick glance, most people assumed they were twins but it was easy for you to spot the differences. Red wasn’t quite as bowlegged and had no tattoo on his chest. Dean had more freckles and his shoulders looked broader, at least to you.
“Boys,” you said, Dean walking on the subfloor to somewhere around the middle of the house. “Yes?”
“We have a disagreement on the layout,” said Red. “Dean wants a little library room which is cool and Lila will be super jealous that I didn’t think of one for her but why’s it got to go in the middle? Wouldn’t you prefer it to be on the edge of the house with a window seat? Or a nice big cubby to put a day bed in?”
“Library, huh?” you asked, Dean smirking to himself. “Make it a large hall way, double sided bookcases on each side, maybe some big comfy chairs in the middle, a coffee table. It’s more of a pass through that way and you’ll still get the light from the back windows.”
“That’s actually a really good idea,” said Red. “Any other tidbits of wisdom you want to spout off?”
“Make it feel like home,” you said, Dean smiling.
“We will. We definitely will.”

tamlin (acotar) - nsfw alphabet ♡
synopsis: a compilation of my nsfw headcanons about tamlin!
content: MDNI 18+, nsfw content of course, dominance, masturbation, sex, etc etc its freaky y'all
an: i got a request for this and of course i had to fill it! this is for all those tamlin lovers out there hiding in the shadows
a = aftercare (what they’re like after sex)
tamlin dotes on you during aftercare. water? he's got it. need a bath? it's already running at the perfect temperature. a snack? alis has already left a charcuterie board outside of your room. sometimes, though, he won't stop and let you take care of him. this especially becomes an issue when something got too rough or he forgot his own strength which leads to intense overthinking and anxiety which he will bottle up while helping you. with some coaxing and soft touches, he'll eventually give in to your help.
b = body part (their favorite body part of theirs and also their partner’s)
he loves his chest, shoulders, and back the most. after centuries of training and toning, he feels proud of every muscle that flexes with the slightest movement. he loves feeling your hands run along his upper torso and though he'd never admit it, he gets goosebumps when your fingernail grazes over the right muscle.
as for you, i think tamlin really enjoys hips and thighs. when he fucks you, his hands fly to your hips where his fingers will dig in, keeping a tight grip on you. if he's going down on you, his hands are kneading the flesh of your thigh. he's also been known to bite and leave hickeys along the soft skin which stay for a long time. (also for afab readers out there, i think tamlin is a boob guy it's just an indisputable fact)
c = cum (anything to do with cum, basically)
tamlin wants to cum in you. period. like this man has such an intense love for pounding in to you as he's finishing, pushing himself in deep, and releasing inside of you. a huge fan of creampies, he loves seeing his cum drip out of you and if he isn't finished with you, he'll use his fingers to push it back in. tamlin is a freak when it comes to cum.
d = dirty secret (pretty self explanatory, a dirty secret of theirs)
once, you were away for a while, keeping up relations with another court or visiting someone, who knows. tamlin was missing you deeply, both in his heart and with his body. it would be days before you would be back with him and he just couldn't wait that long. with his brain full of things he was going to do to you when you came back, he started jerking off. just as he was about to finish, his eyes fell to a picture of you on the nightstand and his hand shot out to bring it towards him. with his eyes trained on you, he finished. once he calmed down, he realized that he had came on the framed photo of you. he cursed a few times, wiped it down with a cloth from the bathroom, and put it back on the decadent nightstand.
e = experience (how experienced are they? do they know what they’re doing?)
tamlin is pretty damn experienced. the man has been around for centuries, has magical regenerating sex once a year, and is hot! he knows what he's doing! what he really needed to learn was how to be more soft, gentle, and cater to your interests and needs. most times, women were throwing themselves at him with no care for what they wanted, just that they could get a chance with tamlin. he grew used to that and had to get used to sex being a two-way street.
f = favorite position (this goes without saying)
depends on the mood in the bedroom. sweet, passionate, love-making? missionary. his arms holding his body up over your head, making intense eye-contact, and him being able to push deep inside of you. rough, jealous, fucking? doggy-style. fingers gripping your hips with the tips of his claws coming out, his hand coming down on your ass, and his hand wrapping around your hair to pull you closer.
g = goofy (are they more serious in the moment? are they humorous? etc.)
definitely more serious! no matter the kind of mood he's in, he sees sex as a serious and intimate experience between two people. the time leading up to sex though can be giggly and fun! fake wrestling or tickling or teasing that leads to intense stare offs and gazes to each others body or lips!
h = hair (how well groomed are they? does the carpet match the drapes? etc.)
tamlin is not clean-shaven, but he definitely keeps it reined in! like it's not an untameable bush by any means, but he's got some nicely trimmed hair instead! he doesn't really mind either way if you're clean shaven or if you have a full bush. he's going down and to town no matter what.
i = intimacy (how are they during the moment? the romantic aspect)
the first time you had sex, he decorated the room in flower petals and had a gift laid for you on the bed. he's soooo romantic with it. when it's a slow lovemaking night, he'll whisper sweet things in your ear and languidly kiss every part of your body. loves planning sweet nights or evenings where you take walks through the forest or through the gardens and you just happen upon a beautifully decked out picnic blanket where he can lay you down and show you how much he loves you!!
j = jack off (masturbation headcanon)
would prefer not to masturbate if you're in reach. however, sometimes you are just far away and he can't help himself! during those times, he'll just think about you and it's enough for him. for a while, he felt ashamed about masturbation, but he's become more healthy with it!
k = kink (one or more of their kinks)
tamlin breeding kink goes brrrr. he's just so possessive and wants to mark you and make you his in some way or another. loves seeing his cum drip out of you like i've said before. tamlin is definitely a dominant in the bedroom and feels the best when he was control over everything happening. if you want me to get real freaky though, then i would also say predator/prey and maybe, just maybe, cnc.
l = location (favorite places to do the do)
he will have sex almost anywhere. in his study over the desk, in the bedroom where it's safe, in the throne room, or out in the gardens. i'll say that he really likes having sex outside though! it makes him feel so connected to the land and he feels like he's where he's meant to be. loves laying down a blanket under the protection of the trees, or by the starry pond, or in some beautiful meadow full of the colors of the spring court.
m = motivation (what turns them on, gets them going)
anything you do. i'm so serious. he especially loves seeing you in spring court clothes. if the two of you have some kind of court event to attend which calls for royal robes in pinks and greens, he will be on you as soon as you get back into the protection of his manor. will most definitely ask you to keep the crown on. he's also a sucker for lingerie. his dream image of you is a royal outfit that he gets to slowly take off of you, revealing the skimpy pastel underwear beneath it.
n = no (something they wouldn’t do, turn offs)
tamlin can't get behind being submissive. not having control makes him really anxious because things have been so crazy in his life before. it would likely take him some prythian therapist to help him get over those anxieties. he would also never be very comfortable with a threesome or something akin to that. he wants you all to himself and couldn't share you easily. maybe with lucien though shh
o = oral (preference in giving or receiving, skill, etc.)
enjoys it either way! tamlin uses oral as a way to build up to something more. like eating you out or sucking you off is foreplay to him, a way to get you both more excited (but he will make you cum, don't worry). when you're sucking him off, his hand usually flies to the back of your head where he tries to control your pace, but if you're really doing good, he can just lay back and enjoy the feeling. like i said before, this man's got experienceeee so he knows what he's doing when it comes to using his mouth down there.
p = pace (are they fast and rough? slow and sensual? etc.)
he fluctuates a lot and it is all dependent on his mood and what happened that day. sometimes he needs it fast and rough when his adrenaline is high or when power is flowing through his body or when he's feeling jealous/possessive. however, on those gentle and slow days in the court, he will take his sweet time with you and draw it out for hourssss if you can stand that long.
q = quickie (their opinions on quickies, how often, etc.)
would much prefer to take his time with you and devote a lot of energy into having sex with you. however, sometimes you're just looking a little too good in the throne room while preparing for an event and he just has to have you against the wall right there, right then. he'll also use quickies as a way to prove a point, like when you're trying to make him jealous and rile him up. he'll grip onto your waist, letting his claws poke through, and lead you to a private room where he'll make you see stars in record time.
r = risk (are they game to experiment? do they take risks? etc.)
he's game to experiment, but only with some things. if you want to try anything with him, communicate it and he will let you know if he's down or if it's something he knows is too much or is something he wouldn't enjoy. as for risks, he won't go very far since he has to keep up some sort of appearance, but a quickie in another court's guest room? sign him up.
s = stamina (how many rounds can they go for? how long do they last?)
tamlin could go on for an entire day if you can keep up. especially post-acotar events when he's restored to his full power and so much strength and energy is coarsing through him again. he doesn't ever really get tired of having sex with you, but he knows to not indulge too much and exert some self-control. during the actual moment, he can last for a while but there's certain moves and touches you can do that he's vulnerable to.
t = toys (do they own toys? do they use them? on a partner or themselves?)
i don't think he's a big toy user, if he is one at all. he likes to keep things traditional and use what he knows works: his body. however, if you want to try them out, he will find the best for you. he will use other items in the bedroom though like ropes and blindfolds and other things you might like! just a vibrator might not be his favorite thing ever.
u = unfair (how much they like to tease)
he will tease you to no end but he can not receive it to save his soul. like pushing you against walls and exerting dominance over you or showing off his muscles or biting your neck to leave you wanting more gets him going so good, but the minute you try to give it back to him, he just gives in and succumbs to all the teasing rather than letting it build.
v = volume (how loud they are, what sounds they make, etc.)
he's a grunter, for sure. they get really deep and guttural when he's finishing. he also loves whispering dirty things into your ear or praising you or sweetly degrading you. sometimes, like on calanmai, some more noises can start slipping out like growls or even a howl once or twice when it got really intense.
w = wild card (a random headcanon for the character)
tamlin gets so turned on when he sees you ruling alongside him over the spring court. watching you interact with the people of his court or holding command over a room at a party you're hosting or even doing some dirtier work as a ruler, like managing the tithe if you so choose to keep it going really gets him excited. i think he just loves seeing you be his and that comes out in so many forms. he just feels so proud and knows that everything is coming together and that things are where they are meant to be.
x = x-ray (let’s see what’s going on under those clothes)
he's big. like idk what to tell y'all. as an author with a very vivid imagination speaking, i really don't see tamlin as a slender, thin fae like some art depicts. i see tamlin as a big man with big shoulders and a big chest with a big dick. maybe i'm just projecting my type onto him. he's built, toned, and he's got some girth to him too. you might need a little extra assistance fitting him is all i'm going to say.
y = yearning (how high is their sex drive?)
his sex drive is pretty consistent unless something incredibly stressful is going on and then he might falter a little bit. you might go weeks where you have sex every single night, but then when he has to really step into his high lord duties and it's taking up most of his brain power, he might just want to come to bed and lay naked with you beside of him.
z = zzz (how quickly they fall asleep afterwards)
i think he stays awake until you fall asleep! he'll hold you close, letting his warmth wash over you, and listen for your breathing to eventually even out and then he'll shuffle down quietly, make himself comfortable and fall asleep. if it's after a quickie or in the middle of the day, he might be a little more restless and flowing with adrenaline which can sometimes lend itself to a work-out or a run through the forest instead of a nap like you might like.

Title: Firecrest (Part 5/7)
Part One | Part Two | Part Three | Part Four | Part Five
Summary: Kate Bishop and y/n have an unspoken agreement that revolves around being enemies with benefits. But when Kate's new mentor is someone Y/n is very familiar with, things become complicated.
Warnings: More bad parenting, Needles, shootings (guns and mention of death), discrimination, Politics (vaguely), and horrible grammar because we all know I don't proofread.
[A/n: Woo, okay, have finally gotten my bearings on a chapter count. Two more to go folks and then all of my attention will be focused on Fright Night!]
The bourbon burned uncomfortably when you swallowed it down in two gulps. The warmth swirled in your stomach and instantly went to your head. It was a dizzy feeling, one that replaced the despair that had settled in your bones. The oaky taste was appealing enough for you to tap the edge of the glass to signal for another.
The Rusty Nail was the definition of ‘dive-bar’, with its smoke-yellowed walls and torn booth seats that frothed with foam. The bartender had a stained towel over his shoulder and replaced the beer that was in front of a man at the other end of the bar, wordlessly.
A box television that had to be from at least the early 90’s was mounted on the corner of the wall. The news played through the speakers with a cracking static. There was roadwork in the majority of Brooklyn, and coat drives taking place at every middle school in the district.
What caught your hazy attention was a photo of Lance. His smile was intoxicating to the general public, and the graph that populated next to him with winning numbers confirmed this fact. He was pulling ahead astonishingly, and even through your misery, you felt a swell of pride.
“Get a load of that guy,” The bartender hissed under his breath.
“Not a fan?”
You’d heard everything under the sun about your step-father, pointedly ignoring the negative opinions in favor for the man that cooked fantastic blueberry pancakes. His campaign relied on dissolving what remained of the Sokovia accords, and removing the restrictions that were put on Inhumans.
For you, it was easy. While a deep and dark fire brewed within you, you still looked relatively normal. Of course, you went through your teenage phases of turmoil, just like everyone else. But, there were people out there who weren’t so lucky; Inhumans that were plagued with spikes covering their entire bodies, translucent skin that displayed the entirety of their innerworkings, or the rocks that engulfed you once, never falling away at all.
Still, with the small Inhuman marking on the edge of your license, it took three times as long to get through airport security, and renting an apartment hadn’t even been a possibility without your mother co-signing. The world still feared Inhumans, just as they feared the changes that came along with them.
It had been changing for years, and Lance wanted to push things just a little further. You held out hope, but immense love for the man who had helped raised you. Though, not everyone felt the same way. A good portion of citizens opposed the man with the golden smile and kind eyes because of his stance on Inhumans.
“He’s pretty don’t get me wrong. But his stance on those… freaks? Those accords are the only thing keeping our streets safe.”
“Oh?”
“You disagree?”
You took a tentative sip of your drink. You were bone-tired and not much into political talk. It was the middle of the night, and you had just felt the adhesive of your ‘fake-dating-band-aid” get ripped from your skin. It left a stinging discomfort behind.
You shrugged “I don’t think they’re hurting anyone.”
The bartender narrowed his eyes and scoffed. He took your empty glass and didn’t offer to refill it. He probably thought you were drunk, and while you were a little tipsy at best, your position on what you were, what so many people around you hid, stayed the same. It worried you, the target that Lance had on his back because of this.
“What about that shooting?”
“The one committed by a human?
This silenced him, though he wore his frown on his sleeve. It had been so quick, blasted all over the news. A father of a teenager had walked into the pizza place where his son worked and opened fire. He’d found out earlier in the day, that his son was an Inhuman, exposed to the same chemicals you were. Three people died, including the shooter, but it was spun in a way that was unforgiveable.
You held you tongue, instead, throwing your money on the counter. You’d come here to get away from the chaos of your own mind. It had dulled the anxieties to an extent, but what was taken away was soon replaced with annoyance.
Your apartment was, of course, empty upon your return. Keys were set on the end table by the door and you flicked on the nearest light so you could avoid the furniture that you thought about moving every single day. It was lonely here. Cold in a way that went beyond a thermostat.
Sleeping was well out of the question, so you skimmed the bookshelf placed on the far side of the room and grabbed the piece of literature that was most appealing. You saw no point in keeping books that didn’t pull you in within the first hundred pages, but there was a staple few that you kept no matter what.
You’d picked up a worn copy of Pride and Prejudice. You thumbed through the pages, letting it fan the sharp sourness of old paper. The last time you’d read it, you only made it halfway through, and the makeshift bookmark that fell out landed on your lap.
You abandoned the book as quickly as you picked it up in favor for the page marker. It was an old, folded photo. As if pouring salt into the wound, it was one of the only known photos of you and Kate together. Her smile beamed at the camera, one arm around your shoulder and the other holding up the middle finger.
The two of you were standing on the docks at rented cabin that your families shared. Usually, you didn’t run into the Bishops, but one fateful year, your leisure time had aligned. Eleanor wanted to take a nice photo. You never knew if it was for the masses, or for her own pleasure, but Kate ruined every single shot with her shit-eating grin and obscene gestures.
It had been creased right down the middle, a sloppy split in the glossed parchment. A tear had dripped from your chin and landed on the edge, your throat suddenly tight. You didn’t bother wiping them away, or picking up the discarded copy of Pride and Prejudice when it hit the carpet with an undignified thump.
You were sobbing by the time you decided to fold the photo back up. That was as far as you had gotten, really. Slumped back in a worn loveseat and letting the tears that had been building all day well-up and soak your collar. It wasn’t a pretty sight, and your chest ached fiercely.
It angered you, that all of this was about Kate Bishop, of all people.
It should be Clint that brought on the wealth of emotions. And in a way, it was. It had always been. The archer had discarded you as a young child, and you supposed you should be thankful for that. You were privileged, especially compared to the poor boy in the pizza shop. But the scars still lingered horribly.
You landed softly, and most of that had been because of Kate. The anger and distress that came with the situation was always dampened by her stormy eyes and her pension for doing good. It rebelled against the Bishop protocol and after a long while, you realized she was different. Kinder. Clumsier. More dedicated.
She knew what she wanted, just as well as she knew what you needed. In moments of anger, she’d distract you with her innate ability to drive you crazy with competition. In panic, she had a softer touch that soothed you into extinguishing volatile flames.
Sleeping with her had been a bad idea. You knew if from the start, but preened at her deeper attention, at the way her hands felt against you, breath fanning warmly across your cheeks and then your chest. For her, you were a release. For you, she was everything.
You were in love, with Kate, mother fucking, Bishop.
It weighed your shoulders down, labored your breathing. But strangely, you felt no flames. The warmth that usually accompanied strong emotions such as these wasn’t there. For the first time, in a long time, you succumbed to sadness. Just sadness.
The cobalt of Kate’s dress illuminated the blue ringlets in her iris’s. They caught the light of the chandelier in the lobby. They were crystal, hanging low but secured tightly to the ceiling. Almost as tight as the dress that Kate wore.
You were clad in a tailored suit, loosely buttoned black fabric a lace corset that matched the cobalt of Kate’s cocktail dress. She’d sent you the color combination in a single word text. Blue. And you’d followed her instructions perfectly, matching her wavelength like always.
For extra measure, you put on a dainty stainless steel arrow necklace. It showed commitment, it was just short of showing your misery. Kate’s eyes canned from your toes to your own stare and you barely suppressed the shivers that came with her scrutiny.
She figured it would be better to face this on a united front and arrive together. She let out a quiet huff of indignance and folded her arm enough for you to loop your own through it. Her warmth, her comfort, no matter how scarce, was overwhelming and threatened to bring back the tears.
That wasn’t what tonight was about. Tonight was about having a united front, about being endlessly in love to make your parents uncomfortable. You weren’t quite sure what Kate was getting out of this and she wasn’t about to tell you either.
The elevator ride up was uncomfortable. She’d never been this quiet for this long before.
“Kate,”
“No.” She clenched her jaw, voice a low whisper despite it only being the two of you and the slowly climbing lift. “For once, y/n, don’t say a word.”
Your eyes met hers in the reflective paneling and you gave her a small nod. The silence had suddenly become heavier, deeper. Your hand curled up in your jacket pocket before you diverted your gaze. The only mercy was the elevator reaching the penthouse, a muffled ‘ding’ proceeding the doors sliding open to her foyer.
The archer had pulled her shoulders back and had a soft smile on her face. There was a sadness behind her eyes that anyone else would have to dig for, but you could see it from a mile away. She was hurting as much as you were but wasn’t going to show it.
You did just the same, working the tension from your features as the scent of lamb coated your lungs and made your stomach clench. You’d always hated the dish, but it was a staple of the Bishop family chef so you powered through it every time.
She smoothed her hand over your jacket sleeve as the two of you stepped out of the elevator. It almost scared you how perfectly she fit into this role. It was the flip of a switch. You were uncomfortable with the thought of it being in your favor. You couldn’t feel the love behind her gestures, because they were just that. Gestures.
“Ready?” She asked.
“Ready.” You replied.
The mechanical whir of the elevator had attracted the attention of those who had already arrived. You’d been in Kate’s house once or twice, enough to count on only one hand. But, you knew the layout fairly well. Her apartment was open concept, and this had a million intersecting walls and corridors.
The two of you passed the dining room and entered something you could only describe as a sitting room, maybe a study with the large oak bookshelves, dusty and untouched. The walls were a Spanish moss green and the hardwood covered by an oriental rug.
Eleanor wore a blood red dress, and Jack had a matching silk pocket square. Clint was the only one that stood out among all of you. He wore a nice dress shirt that was tucked into black pants, he looked cleanly pressed and perfect for a Bishop dinner party.
He held a glass of whiskey, and Jack was pouring one more. He gave you a beaming, and wholly innocent smile, his mustache lifting at the sides. “Miss Morse! Katie!”
You felt Kate stiffen next to you at the name, her jaw clenching. Instinctively, your hand covered hers, thumb ghosting over the scarring on her knuckles. Her shoulders seemed to lower, and that breath smelled of the familiar wintergreen.
“Darling,” Eleanor moved forward and placed phantom kisses against both of Kate’s cheeks before moving to do the same with you. “Let me get a good look at you both.”
“Mom, you’ve seen us before.”
“Not like this. It’s different. Before it was just rumors, and speculation. Annoying, isn’t it? But now, we can spin this anyway we want to.”
Kate gave her mother a tight smile. “We’re not a press opportunity”
“Not so easy to say when you’ve already been all the press can talk about.” She shrugged and took the glass from Jacks hand. “You know, at first, I thought this was horrible. But people seem to like you both.”
There was something on the tip of her tongue that wanted to escape. A God Know’s why or a couldn’t be me. But she said neither and an uncomfortable silence fell over you all. Kate subconsciously tightened her fingers against your arm once more, and the pressure was nearly soothing.
Your eyes met Clint’s across the room, and you got hit with the familiar feeling of your world tilting in a nauseating way. He offered up a small smile, the only one he could muster within these last few chaotic weeks.
He waved at Kate, not enthusiastically, a neutral and awkward expression of affection. Kate let out a long breath, retracting her arm and similarly placing her hand on the small of your back. She needed a grounding technique, just as much as you did.
Eleanor sensed the tension and announced that it was time for dinner. The scent of the lamb came rolling back in crashing waves. Upon entering the dining room, you were positive that the woman hadn’t cooked this meal herself.
A linin table cloth was punctuated with candles, bathing the room in a dull yellow light. There were different platters piled with dripping meat, and steaming mashed potatoes. Glasses of red wine rested next to the salads situated on gold plating.
Fire crackled within the large stone hearth that you’d never seen lit. It seemed almost directed, sitting in front of the warm, smoldering flames. Across from you was Eleanor and Jack, Clint right in between them. Jack seemed particularly fond of the man, similarly entrapped by his accomplishments as the rest of the world.
“Everyone, dig in” Eleanor prompted “No need to be so formal.”
“Right,” Kate cleared her throat, picking up fork and chasing a cherry tomato with the prongs. “How is everyone?”
You winced at the pathetic attempt at small talk, staring down at your own wilted greens. It was a valiant effort that was promptly ignored by everyone else at the table.
“Y/n, why don’t you tell us more about yourself?” Eleanor asked.
Kate gave you a look that intimately read as you don’t have to entertain her. “You know all about Y/n. We grew up together.”
“From fifth grade onward. I remember when your mom enrolled you. You kept deliberately ripping your uniform until she agreed to pants. Same thing happened with Katherine. But now that you and my daughter are involved, I’d like to know more.”
She took a sip of her wine, and your fingers brushed over the glass base of your own glass. But you didn’t pick it up. You’d decided last night, sometime between showering off the scum of the dive-bar and propping a window in your apartment to get some fresh air, that you needed a clear head for something like this.
You cleared your throat. “Well, uh, what would you like to know?”
“Where you grew up!” Jack cut in fantastically, talking around a mouth full of vegetation, waving his fork around like a madman “Your favorite color, if you have any pets!”
Your stare flicked to Clint, but he was staring down at his untouched food. He didn’t know the answer to any of these questions and the stinging bile that threatened to push past your lips was instantly swallowed back down in favor of your dignity.
“I moved around a lot as a kid, my mom traveled for work a lot so we were never in one place for too long. Amsterdam, Delhi, Perth. The best place though, was a small desert town in Arizona. There weren’t many people there and it could get to about a hundred degrees by the time the sun was at it’s highest point. But it was peaceful, and beautiful.”
Clint was watching you carefully now. He’d been there too. It was one of the last places you’d traveled together as a family. There was a small strip of old wooden structures that reminded you of the wild west, cutting through the orange of the desert. Murals were painted against the rocky structures, writhing snakes, swallowing the sun, and fire shimmering over it’s scales.
It was captivating during the day, but even better at night. It was the clearest you had ever seen the stars. Blankets of twinkling constellations and milky ways that you’d never seen before. Your neck started to ache from staring up at it for so long, and it was Clint who had laid a blanket in the bed of his truck and laid next to you to view them.
He’d taught you about the different formations, and of course, his favorite, the Sagittarius. An archer that sacrificed his own mortality for the sake of his sons. It seemed ironic now. But then, it had made you feel like the most important girl in the world.
“A dusty old desert town over the streets of Amsterdam?” Eleanor seemed to find amusement in this, piercing a slice of carrot with the prongs of her fork. It gave a satisfying snap. “Interesting.”
“It was peaceful” You shrugged, finally giving in and taking a warm sip of wine. “The last time we were together as a family.”
“Is that right?”
Eleanor was enjoying herself too much and Kate’s hand nervously went to the charm around her own neck. You hadn’t noticed it before, trying to be respectful. Trying not to let your eyes wander during an irreparable time.
She looked best in gold and knew that from a young age. The chain was dainty, and the pendant was a whisp of a flame. It made your mouth go dry and you wondered if it was a conscious decision, just like the one you had made to grab the only necklace with an arrow.
“I remember that place.” Clint spoke up for the first time. “It was called Chloride. Weird name for a town.”
You were too transfixed on Kate’s fingers running over the curvature of the necklace to care. Her cheeks took on a red tint in the glow of the candles. She removed her hand and found yours on top of the table. It was damp, but a solid force.
“You were afraid of scorpions in your shoes and made me and your mom check and double check them before you even thought of putting them on. You usually went barefoot, which was more dangerous than just wearing the shoes.”
“Is this your idea of an olive branch?”
The words left your mouth without thinking, and they were pumped with venom. You couldn’t help it. Your stomach was already rolling unsteadily and his words, though soaked with kindness, were far from merited. Kate’s mother sat back with an almost giddy look on her face. She’d been expecting this.
Kate tightened her grip inadvertently, and you could feel the small sting of her nails carving crescents into your palm. You wholly expected her gaze to be narrowed at you, but it was transfixed on Clint. There was a hardness there that she had harbored for you earlier in the week.
You let out a strangled breath and stared down at your salad. It wasn’t worth it. None of this felt worth it. In a strange way, you were absolutely defeated, and the wilted lettuce was much more interesting than satisfying Eleanor Bishop’s sick need for chaos.
“No. of course not.” His expression betrayed a sadness that pulled uncomfortably at your chest. “Just a memory, is all.”
“Do you know what I remember?”
Kate rumbled softly, a noise that was every bit the warning to you. Let it go. She worried incessantly about the fire under your fingertips. Possibly more than yourself in moments like these. But there was no itching beneath your skin. For once, it was just a storm of sorrow. Sweat was forming on your brow and Kate’s grip shifted to your wrist, finger pressed plainly to your pulse.
“The look in your eyes when you walked away. I was just a kid, but that was the first time I ever learned about betrayal. For months, Clint, months I would sit by the window and wait for you to come back. It didn’t matter where we were, what country, what city, I would wait. I was certain that you would find us and we could be a family again.”
He clenched his knife and fork on either side of his plate, his knuckles turning a sickly type of white that nearly echoed yellow, his whisper was broken. “I’m… sorry. I understand that you need someone to blame, kid.”
“Blame?” You let out a dry laugh, standing with enough force to push the chair back with a strangled screech. “You think this is about blame? That’s a simple emotion to work through. This is about which one of you was willing to stick around when things got hard, and which one of you ran to a new family.”
The silence was deafening. Eleanor lifted her wine glass and hid her vicious smirk behind the seductive red liquid. Jack had directed his tender stare to Kate, no-doubt deciding then and there to be a good stepfather for more than a few moments at a time.
You sucked in a heavy breath before shaking your head and leaving the room. It wasn’t difficult to navigate the Bishop penthouse, with it’s dark open-concept layout. You needed air. It was much too hot in the dining room and you’d begun to sweat through your layers of clothing.
The balcony connected to the family room lacked decoration. It was a stone ledge that caught the cold drafts of high winds, drying the sweat against your skin instantly. You swallowed enough frigid air to burn your throat, but the tears refused to come. You couldn’t cry anymore.
Your head hung over the edge of the balcony, a strange dizziness washing over you as you stared down at the passing traffic, hundreds of unblinking eyes that lit up the night. You wish you had the foresight to grab the glass of wine, or something stronger from Jacks secret stash.
The temperature had dropped significantly by the time you heard the sliding glass door open. You didn’t bother turning around. Not with the subtle evergreen scent. “Tell Eleanor I’m sorry for ruining dinner.”
“Ruining?” Kate chuckled softly. Warmth engulfed you as she draped a blanket over your shoulders. You grasped the frayed edges out of habit and tugged it closely around you. “She lives for the drama of it all. She expected this, I think you’ve actually made her year.”
She leaned against the balcony, letting her hands hang over the edge. She looked ethereal in the moonlight, pale and beautiful. The tell-tale anger that had been etched into her features earlier was surrendered. You caught the glint of her bracelet and nervously brought your own hand up to the cool arrow charm that rested against your collarbone.
“It’s frustrating, isn’t it? Waiting for someone to apologize?”
The corner of your lips lifted into a smile. “Very subtle, Katie.”
“I’m giving you an opening here.”
You sighed heavily and turned just enough to get a better look at her. She always knocked the breath out of you in an almost cruel way. Her eyes held a tenderness that was unmatched. She was patient with you, just like she had always been.
“This entire time, I’ve been chasing after an apology from Clint., one that he’s too proud to give. It’s easy to be consumed by something like that, but that’s no excuse to hurt you in the process.” You swallowed heavily, trying to curb the dryness in your throat.
You couldn’t look at her. The mere sight of the curve of her jaw, the softness of her demeanor despite her deep seeded anger, would be too much. Kate effectively knocked you off your feet every single time she spared you a glance. If you were going to get this out in the open, you’d much rather stare at the traffic below.
“Katie, I can’t begin to describe how much you mean to me. We’ve always had this unspoken rivalry and for the longest time I couldn’t figure it out. Why couldn’t we both just be good at the same things without vying against one another?”
You let out a wounded sigh, fingers digging into the stone balcony. “I never understood why I wanted to beat you so badly, and I don’t know where along the way that changed. But I’ve realized recently that it was never about beating you. It was about making you proud.”
Her breath had caught, a subtle noise that you noticed due to proximity. Her hand was atop yours, much like it was at dinner, somehow warmer than your own. She didn’t say anything, and you didn’t lift your gaze to meet hers. Your cheeks were enflamed with blush that you could blame on the two sips of wine you had.
“Deep down, I’ve always known that I’ve been in love with you since that first kiss at archery camp. I don’t expect you to feel the same, but I was doing more damage hiding it from you than putting it out there. You have to understand, Katie, I never meant to hurt you the other day. I’m just so used to burying it down, to keeping my emotions stifled for the greater good, that I didn’t know what to say… how to say it.”
She was rendered speechless herself and you could feel your vision start to blur at the edges, the lights from lines of city traffic suddenly fuzzy. You were never a fan of heights, but the sudden sloppy confession was much more daunting than the prospect of falling thirty stories.
“Oh,” Kate rasped.
You clenched your eyes shut until you saw stars. She’d never been a girl of little words, and you felt your heart rate increase. It pounded listlessly, preparing for rejection that you knew typically followed her silence.
None of that came, however, instead was the slightest pinprick against the side of your neck. You would have figured it nothing more than a mosquito if the weather hadn’t taken an icy turn. But this was different, this alerted your senses in one fail swoop.
Your eyes snapped open and narrowed at Kate in time to register the emptying of the syringe she’d pushed past your skin. A sickly green liquid that already stung terribly as it started to pulse through your veins.
“A lovely sentiment, I’m sure.” She pouted in a mocking way, lilting her head to the side as she pulled the needle from the side of your neck. Your fingers pressed against the area to quell the foreign sensation.
You were suddenly incredibly dizzy, the pulsing of your vision matching with the frantic beating of your heart. You were losing strength quickly, clinging to the stone balcony for some type of solace. You fell all the same, collapsed at its corner with quick breaths of panic.
Kate was suddenly crouched in front of you. She lifted your chin until you could stare into her eyes. They were cold, emotionless. “Maybe one day, you’ll be able to tell her.”
Her thumb brushed lightly over your cheek. It was so familiar, yet incredibly foreign. Your thoughts were muddled, non-existent as the heavy sensation took over. She seemed to revel in your confusion, in the pain that she’d so easily inflicted.
Kate’s disconnected stare was the last thing you saw before darkness swallowed you whole in an odd type of comfort, the world ceased to flicker, like the edges of a flame.

Do you have some Ami's voice lines?
this took so long… i wrote this before 2.6 before rappa voice lines were released so bear with me! they’re all below the cut 😎
First Meeting:
You can call me Amihan. I'm just a lone drifter amongst the stars, no need to pay me any mind. Unless you need parts, of course. Don't ask me where I source them though, haha…
Greetings:
Heya! Wonder what sort of treasures we’ll dig up today?
Parting:
Fair winds, my friend! I’m sure we’ll find our way back to each other soon enough.
About Self: Captain
I wouldn’t call myself a captain, but I am the only member of the S.S. Nova, so everything falls to me. Navigation, repairs, cleaning, keeping stock… Solo ship life keeps you humble.
About Self: Mechanical Peg Leg
My leg? I carved the wooden bit myself. I lost it in a freak accident when I was wrestling a shark on my home planet— or maybe it was when I fought against that brute from the Annihilation gang.. or was it when I was doing repairs on my ship and that piece of metal fell— Ah! I’m getting carried away here, aren’t I? I’ll tell you another time!
Chat: Business
If you’re ever in need of some scrap metal or ahem, IPC approved goods, just message me. I have dealings in the trade– and you won’t have to pay the abhorrent prices they put up on the market.
Chat: Principles
You gotta give to take, everything has balance in this universe. Just so happens that I like giving miscreants a good flogging, and I like taking their belongings as my payment, and sharing that with people who really need it.
Hobbies
I like making these little carvings in my spare time… This one’s a horse, this one’s a dog. Um, this one’s supposed to be a shark. I’m not used to this kind of wood, so it’s hard for me to get the shape right. N-No, it’s not an excuse!
Annoyances
This might sound odd coming from me, but I get the worst motion sickness when someone else is at the wheel. No offense to Pom-Pom.
Something to Share
Look, I don’t believe in luck. If you want something you can’t just dawdle, waiting for something to happen. You need to take action. That’s all we can do in this universe.
Knowledge
Lushaka is a place filled with flooded ruins and seas so blue it’s hard to see where the water ends and the sky begins. The scholars there have tried to tell me about the ruins, but honestly, I’m more interested in the sunken treasures that are waiting to be found…
About Boothill
He’s a reckless one, isn’t he? We galaxy rangers tend to work alone, but you wouldn’t believe the amount of times he’s dragged me into the fray, even if it is just the tail end of whatever mess he’s gotten himself into. Not like I don’t enjoy it though, heh.
About Boothill 2
…I have a lot of respect for Boothill. I envy him sometimes, but deep down, I know I could never do what he could. To have everything taken like that… it’s… *sigh*
About Rappa
It might be a little hard to keep up with her way of… communicating, but I promise you, she’s got a good head on her shoulders. I trust her judgement. She reminds me of my little sister…
About Rappa 2
The Cosmic Ninjutsu Inscriptions? Rappa tries to teach me, but it just goes in through one ear and out the other for me. I’m not too good with words and remembering things like that, but I’m happy to indulge her.
About Aventurine
Ugh, if I have to hear him speak about luck again, I might just send myself overboard. Is it really luck if he’s putting in that much effort to scheme and calculate the outcome?
About Sampo
Sounds awfully like this guy who keeps undercutting me online– Once, I even tried to buy from him just to see if he was legit. Turns out he’s all talk. He even pretended to be a bot when I confronted him… No integrity!
About Himeko
I met Himeko and the Astral Express once upon a time, she offered me an incredibly bitter cup of coffee whilst talking my ear off about fixing the Express. I could only understand a quarter of what she was saying… but wow, she’s amazing to do all of that by herself.
Eidolon Activation
Dead men tell no tales.
Character Ascension
There she blows!
Max Level Reached
Time to take this seriously.
Trace Activation
All hands on deck!
Added to Team With Boothill
Keep up, cowboy!
Added to Team with Rappa
Er, how does it go again.. As the Cosmic Ninjutsu Inscriptions read: “Let’s kick some serious butt!”
Added to Team with Trailblazer
Up for some treasure hunting after this? Saw some untouched trash cans on my way here.
EXTRA:
rappa and boothills voicelines for ami
About Captain Yukaze
The Captain's attempts at learning the Cosmic Ninjutsu Inscriptions are commendable, but it seems she has a long way to go if she wishes to reach an acceptable level of ninjutsu. I worry for her…
About Ami
Ami’s saved my behind more than a couple of times— I owe her, but uh, I’m not too sure on how to really pay her back, plus she always denies whatever I throw at her, insisting she doesn’t need it. She’s not good with her drink, so a good malt’s out the window and she’s pretty set in her ways with her weapons so I can’t get her something new… I’m at my wits end here…
#hsr oc#honkai star rail oc#hsr#kinda happy that what i wrote aligns with how rappa is in canon ! it’s like mihoyo took my lines and like made it actually good#and concise…#rappa calls ami yukaze bc it means evening wind. and is also a type of warship :’)#when answering these i try to keep it like. canon aligned…#idk why i made boothills line for ami that#i think i wanted to like. show he knows her well and also imply that he cares about her in a way that he doesn’t quite know yet auheueheheh#i’ll prolly have to rewrite some of these since 2.6 came out and boothill says exactly what ami says abt rappa 😭😭😭#ami

Title: I Want My Big Brother!!
TRIGGER WARNINGS: VIOLENCE, GORE, PEDOHPHILIA, SEXUAL HARASSMENT, AND A GRAPHIC SCENE OF A TEENAGER SEXUAL ASSAULTING AND POSSIBLY MOLESTING A CHILD
“Remember, me and your father will be out all day today,” Kyle’s mother said while hugging her husband’s arm. She wore red lipstick, a red dress with red heels. Kyle’s father on the other hand wore a black suit with a red bow tie. “Don’t forget to watch over Luke while we’re gone okay?”
Kyle, who was seated on the couch, engrossed with the tv, took a sip from his can of coke and let out a burp. “Can’t,” he muttered nonchalantly to his mom’s request.
“Excuse me?” his mom spoke, her hands on her hips and her voice slightly raised.
“Me and my pals are going to the movies today,” Kyle responded before sipping on his soda once more.
“Well then you're taking Luke with you,” his mom demanded. This caused Kyle to take his eyes off the tv and turn his head to face his mom.
“Are you kidding me!?”
“You heard me, either that or you can cancel that plan.”
“You gotta be fucking kidding me…” Kyle growled under his breath.
“Language,” his father said.
Kyle let out a long irritated groan, “UGH FINE…whatever,” he grumbled.
Luke listened to the conversation from upstairs, sitting down and peeking through the railings. He grinned, his heart racing with excitement.
‘I’m going to be hanging out with high schoolers!! This is so freaking cool!!’ he thought to himself. ‘I better go get dressed!’ the boy then eagerly rushed to his room.
Later while sitting on his bed, combing his short blonde hair, Luke heard the front door creak open from downstairs. Luke quickly placed the hair comb on his bed, got up, left his bedroom and rushed downstairs. “Kyle?” Luke called out to his older brother as he did so.
“What?” Kyle responded, his voice laced with attitude. Kyle stood at the doorway, holding the door open as he irritatedly watched his eleven year old brother make his way downstairs.
“I’m coming with you right?...T-to the movies?” Luke said, now standing in front of his brother, smiling sheepishly and fidgeting with his fingers.
Kyle let out a frustrated sigh, “You heard our conversation didn't you, you little eavesdropper?”
“A-a little.”
“Dammit,” Kyle aggressively muttered under his breath. His brows furrowed as he closed his eyes and pinched the bridge of his nose between his eyes.
Kyle frowned at his brother’s disapproval, “I-I promise I’ll stay quiet, I won’t cause any trouble, it’ll be like I’m not even there.”
Kyle rolled his eyes, “Yeah yeah whatever. Just letting you know that I ain’t holding your hand when we cross the street,” he said in a mocking tone.
“Hey, I’m not five,” Luke responded defensively.
Luke sat in the middle of the back seat of Kyle’s car.
“So uh…what movie we watching?” Luke asked while Kyle was driving his car on the road.
“You told me you 're gonna stay quiet,” Kyle mumbled.
“I know but, you didn’t pick up your friends yet so I thought we could talk a little,” Luke responded.
Kyle sighed, “We’re watching a movie called, ‘Who Killed The Man’.”
“‘Who Killed The Man’…Never heard of it,” Luke said while shrugging his shoulders. “Is it like some sort of horror movie?” He asked. He was trying to keep his voice steady and trying to sound as nonchalant as possible.
“It’s a dark comedy,” Kyle responded, causing Luke to let out a sigh of relief. “God, you're such a baby,” muttered Kyle.
“Shut up,” Luke answered.
Kyle parked his car in front of a house, “Alright, my friend’s coming in now so zip it.”
A guy Kyle’s age came out of the house and opened a car door to sit in the passenger seat next to Kyle.
“Sup?” The guy said before closing the car door.
“Yo,” Kyle greeted with a small smile. Kyle put on loud heavy metal music and he and his friend both banged their heads to it and sang along a bit while Kyle continued driving.
Eventually they stopped at another house. Another guy Kyle’s age came out of the house and made his way into the back seat of the car, next to Luke.
Kyle lowered the volume of the music, “How’s it hanging, George?” He greeted the guy.
George gazed his hungry blue eyes upon Luke in silence for a few seconds, looking him up and down, his cheeks growing red, and a smile spreading across his face. Luke gazed back at George and gulped.
“George?” Kyle called out with confusion. George licked his lips sending a shiver down Luke’s spine.
“Your little brother is so adorable,” George exclaimed with pleasure.
“Oh please. This kid is nothing but a pain in the ass,” Kyle answered.
“He’s sooo cuteee~” George said, still keeping his eyes on Luke.
Cold sweat began dripping down Luke’s face. The young boy began looking down at his lap as George continued to stare. Throughout the rest of the car ride, George couldn’t take his eyes off Luke. He kept staring, his cheeks growing redder while Luke’s heart was racing and his head was down.
——-
Kyle, his friends, and Luke found themselves at the movie theater, with the teenagers pouring butter from a machine onto the popcorn they had just purchased. Kyle glanced at Luke who was standing beside him staring at the buttery popcorn, his mouth watering.
“Want it?” Kyle asked, causing Luke’s eyes to widen.
“Y-yes please!” Luke exclaimed.
“Here,” Kyle said, handing his cardboard bag of popcorn to Luke. Luke’s round innocent brown eyes sparkled when processing the fact that his older brother did something nice for him.
“Thank you!” Luke exclaimed with a grin.
“Whatever,” Kyle muttered as he went to buy himself popcorn.
Later, the group went into the theater and got seats high up in the back row.
“Can I sit with your brother?” George asked.
“Sure whatever,” Kyle responded.
Luke wanted to protest but didn’t have enough guts to speak up due to how ridiculous it would sound. Luke was then seated between Kyle and George while the two other friends of Kyle sat on Kyle’s other side. They all had bags of popcorn in their laps and drinks beside them in the drink holders. The seats in the theater were recliner seats so they all pushed buttons for their seats to extend so they could rest their feet on them. During the trailers and commercials, George began staring at Luke once again, looking him up and down while licking his lips. Luke tried his best to ignore him but his heart wouldn’t stop racing and bullets of sweat ran down the kid’s face.
When the movie began to play, George grinned as he gazed his eyes upon Luke’s thighs which were exposing his skin due to wearing shorts. George reached out his hand, placed it onto Luke’s thigh and began softly squishing it and feeling it. Luke’s pale face stared down at George’s hand, his whole body trembling and his heart pounding out of his chest. Luke felt a wave of nausea creep over him.
“Your skin feels so soft,” George whispered into Luke’s ear.
“KYLE CAN YOU TAKE ME TO THE BATHROOM??” Luke whispered, turning his head to face Kyle. He didn’t need to go to the bathroom but he felt so eager and desperate to get as far away from George as possible. He also wanted to tell his big brother about what was happening. George immediately removed his hand from Luke, scared that Kyle might see. Kyle let out an irritated sigh and turned his head to face Luke, it was dark so he couldn’t see the panic on his little brother’s face.
“You gotta be shitting me, Luke,” Kyle groaned. “You needa go that bad? Can’t you just hold it in until the movie ends?”
“IT’S AN EMERGENCY.”
“I can take him,” George offered, causing Luke’s trembling and racing heart to increase immensely.
“Alright, you do that, George,” Kyle said, his hand gesturing to George and Luke to leave as he began averting his attention to the movie again.
George stood up before grabbing Luke’s hand and helping him stand up, he then swung his arm around the trembling child.
“NO! I-” Luke shrieked out, trying to protest.
“Resist and you're dead,” George cut Luke off, whispering aggressively. Tears welled up in Luke’s eyes.
Kyle raised an eyebrow, “The hell’s the matter with you?” He asked, gazing at his little brother.
“Something wrong, kiddo?” George asked innocently as his grip on Luke became tighter and rougher.
Luke titled his head downward, “N-nothing’s wrong…I’m fine…” he responded, trying to keep his voice steady.
“Great, then let’s get going,” George said in a lighthearted manner. “We’ll be back, Kyle.”
Kyle narrowed his eyes as George and Luke left. Luke seemed anxious, Kyle wondered if it was due to something going on between Luke and George. But then again George was the kind of guy who was always kind and sweet towards children so Kyle couldn’t imagine him doing anything to Luke. Besides, Luke was always a shy and timid kid. The boy was probably just anxious because he really needed to use the bathroom and he didn’t feel comfortable going with new people. Kyle decided to shrug off his suspicion and continue watching the movie.
Meanwhile, tears rolled down Luke’s cheeks as George led him to the bathroom, still having his arm around the kid. Luke sniffled and George shot a glare at him.
“You better keep fucking quiet,” he whispered to Luke in a rough, threatening voice. When the two got into the men’s restroom, George forcefully shoved Luke into a stall and closed the stall door. Luke stumbled onto the toilet, forced to sit on it as George approached the boy. A big, hungry grin appeared on the predator’s face as he began drooling.
“I finally have you all to myself now,” he said under his breath. Luke was exhaling rapidly, his eyes so wide with fear they looked like they could pop out at any moment. He was all alone with a stranger who wanted to do scary things to him. He desperately wanted to be near his big brother.
George brought his face closer to Luke’s while Luke squeezed his eyes shut praying his older brother would come and open the bathroom stall they were in. George’s waste was now between Luke’s legs. The predator tilted his head and locked his lips into Luke’s lips, causing Luke to feel the young man’s big wet tongue, sliding against his tongue. Luke felt this huge urge to vomit. Luke let out muffled whimpers as George continued making out with him.
While making out with him he pulled down Luke’s shorts and began rubbing his hands on the kid’s thighs close to his business area.
Luke wanted to bite George’s tongue and try to make a run for it but was terrified that would only put him in more danger and make things worse.
This felt like long horrendous hours for Luke despite it only being fifteen minutes so far. Finally, George separated his lips from Luke’s to catch his breath. The two were panting.
“P-please…Let me g-g-go…I…I want my big b-b-brother,” Luke stammered in a shaky, high pitched voice.
“Listen here, you little shit…If you so much as breath a word about this to your big brother or anyone else I will FUCKING MURDER YOU…Understand?” George threatened in a menacing voice, causing Luke to shiver more. The boy nodded rapidly in agreement.
—-
After thirty minutes more of George making out with Luke, while tearing off his clothes and feeling his body, George inched his face away from Luke’s but still cornered him. George then said, “Alright, I’m gonna let you go now, but when we meet up with Kyle and the others I want you to stop crying, act like everything is normal and keep calm. And remember to keep your mouth shut about this. If you don’t do as I say then you and I are gonna have some serious problems. Understand?”
Luke silently nodded. After George let Luke go and Luke put on his clothes, Luke struggled to get himself to stop himself from crying but eventually did so. The second Luke and George went out the bathroom Luke couldn’t help but start sprinting away from George, eager to find his brother.
“Kyle!…Kyle!” Luke cried out.
“Dammit, you little shit! What part of acting normal do you not understand!?” George groaned in frustration while running behind Luke.
Tears began rolling down Luke’s cheeks again, he knew he wasn’t supposed to cry but he couldn’t help it. He desperately wanted to see his brother again.
“Luke?” Luke heard a familiar voice call out to him.
Luke spotted his older brother not too far away. Luke began sobbing as he got closer to Kyle. When he got to him Luke threw his arms around Kyle’s waist and buried his face into Kyle’s chest, bawling his eyes out while clinging onto him for dear life.
“What the hell!?” Kyle questioned while looking down at the trembling kid. He then glanced at George who approached him and Luke looking panicked while muttering under his breath, “Aw shit.”
Kyle’s suspension from earlier came back but it was more powerful this time. He held onto Luke while glaring at George, “Why the fuck is my brother crying!? Did you do something to him!?”
“I-I uh…” George stammered trying to think of a lie.
“Answer my goddamn question, you fucking dumbass! Did you hurt my fucking brother!?” Kyle shouted aggressively.
“N-no, of course not. I’d never hurt him. You see, someone else tried to hurt him and I protected him,” George lied.
“If you’re lying I swear to god I’m gonna kill you. Now get lost,” Kyle demanded. George nodded before entering the theater room that he was initially in. The movie was still playing as Kyle and Luke sat outside of the theater room, on an indoor bench with no backrest. Luke sniffled and wiped his tears away, trying to gain composure as Kyle patted his back.
“Think you can tell me who hurt you now?” Kyle asked.
“I-I’m sc-sc-scared…h-he s-said if I t-t-tell what happened…he’ll…h-h-hurt me more…” Luke uttered out.
Kyle’s blood boiled with burning rage, he swore on his life that whoever hurt his little brother was going to get beaten to a bloody pulp with his own hands. Kyle took a deep breath and placed his hand on Luke’s head.
“You know there’s no way in hell I’m gonna let that happen right? As long as I’m around I ain’t letting that bastard lay a finger on you again,” Kyle promised.
Luke took a deep breath, “I-it was your friend…the one that took me to the bathroom…”
“That motherfucker,” Kyle muttered. His brows furrowed, his face grew red and he curled his hands into fists.
“He-he did some scary things like t-touching my th-th-thighs a-and k-k-kissing me…I was so scared!!” Luke exclaimed while tearing up and hugging himself.
Kyle felt the urge to take a knife, open George’s mouth and dig the knife deep into his mouth. He desperately wanted to gorge George’s eyes out of their sockets.
“Did that prick touch you back in the theater room or in the car?” Kyle asked, his voice shaky with anger.
“H-he stared at me in the car…a-and touched my thigh in the theater which was why I wanted you to take me to the bathroom…” Luke quietly mumbled.
Kyle stood up in front of Luke and turned to face him. “Dammit, Luke! Why the fuck didn’t you tell me!?”
“I-I-I was scared!…a-and he said if I resisted…he’d kill me…” Luke stammered, shivering at the flashback of George whispering that in his ear.
Kyle let out a sigh before spreading his arms out, “Come here,” he said. Luke rushed over to his older brother and wrapped his arms around his waist once again, burying his face into Kyle’s chest. Kyle used one hand to rub his brother’s back while the other one rubbed the boy’s head.
Luke let out muffled cries into Kyle’s chest as Kyle continued holding him.
“It’s okay…You’re safe now. When I’m done with him, that bastard won’t even look in your direction again,” Kyle said.
Later, Kyle walked Luke back to the theater and sat Luke down on his seat next to his two other friends.
“So how’s Luke? Is he feeling any better?” George whispered to Kyle, still trying to act innocent.
“Watch over Luke for me,” Kyle whispered to his other friends who nodded in agreement. He then grabbed George by the ear and roughly dragged him out of the theater room as he groaned in pain. When the two arrived outside, behind the movie theater building Kyle roughly tossed George onto the ground.
“What the hell’s your deal man!?” George cried out, sitting on the ground, his hand holding onto his bleeding ear Kyle had pulled on. Kyle looked around, there were no witnesses.
“You’re lucky I don’t have a knife with me or this would hurt a lot more,” Kyle said, “If your still alive after this then stay the fuck away from my little brother or I’m gonna FUCK YOU UP!!!”
Kyle then slammed his foot onto George’s dick, crushing it, causing him to cry out in pain. He then threw his foot extremely hard onto George’s hand that laid on the floor beside him causing the bones in that hand to get crushed and break. George screamed in pain as tears ran down his cheeks. He then took a stick and shoved it into George’s eye causing it to bleed out. George’s head fell to the ground with his mouth still hanging open.
“Dammit! He’s already knocked out!? I wasn’t finished with this fucker yet!” Kyle complained. He then let out a sigh, “Eh whatever. I hope that fucking hurt you piece of fucking shit.”
—-
That night as Luke laid in his bed, the memories of being assaulted in the bathroom by George replayed in his mind. Tears filled the boy’s eyes and his stomach ached, he felt like he was reliving it. As his heart began racing he went out of his bed, left his room and rushed over to Kyle’s room.
Meanwhile, Kyle laid in his bed, anger washing over him but this time it was anger towards himself. Luke was suffering under the hands of that bastard right under Kyle’s nose. Kyle even trusted that disgusting pedophile to be alone with his brother. If he was more observant, more smart, if only he had picked up on his brother’s cry for help, then Luke wouldn’t have to go through all the crap. Of course it was that slimy pervert’s fault but Kyle felt he was to blame as well because he could’ve easily prevented this from happening.
Kyle’s teeth clenched together as tears welled up in his eyes. Before Kyle could slam his fist into a wall, his bedroom door creaked open. Kyle quickly wiped away his tears before lifting his head up to see Luke’s small frame standing at his doorway.
“K-Kyle?…Y-you awake?” Luke stammered out, his voice cracking. The room was dark so Luke couldn’t tell if his brother was awake or not.
Kyle sighed, “What do you want, Luke?” He asked, trying to sound nonchalant.
“I-I…um…c-can I sleep with you tonight?” Luke asked while staring down and fidgeting with his fingers. His cheeks grew red, he felt so childish asking this. He was expecting Kyle to mock him and call him a baby, but to his surprise,
“Go ahead,” was what Kyle responded with while scooting over to leave more room on his bed for Luke.
“R-really?” Luke asked, his eyes widened.
“You have ten seconds before I change my mind,” Kyle answered while yawning. Luke nodded before rushing over to the bed and laying himself down beside Kyle. He then sunk his legs underneath the blanket. Luke leaned on his side facing Kule while Kyle faced the wall.
“Thanks, Kyle,” Luke whispered with a small smile as his heart rate decreased.
“Yeah yeah whatever,” Kyle mumbled. After a moment of comfortable silence Kyle whispered, “Sorry.”
“Huh? For what?” Luke asked as he raised an eyebrow.
“God, you’re so dense, do I really have to spell it out for you?” Kyle let out a sigh, “I’m sorry for being fucking blind and letting that piece of shit trick me.”
“Kyle…It’s—It’s not your fault.”
“Yes it is, Luke, I should’ve noticed how panicked you were and took you to the bathroom myself instead of letting that bastard do so. It’s my fault…I let that piece of shit have his way with you.”
Luke moved closer to Kyle, wrapped his arms around him, and rested his chin on Kyle’s shoulder. “He was your friend, you trusted him. You had no idea he was like this. Also I never straight out told you he was acting this way, you’re not a mind reader,” Luke stated. “It’s my fault for not telling you sooner ....” he added, his voice filled with shame.
“Well you should’ve told me sooner but it wasn’t your fault. You're a kid, you don’t know any better,” Kyle responded.
“Then it isn’t your fault either, Kyle.”
“Fine whatever.”
After some more comfortable silence Luke said, “Thanks for protecting me today.”
“It was nothing,” Kyle responded.
“I love you.”
“Love you too, kid.”

Mj I beg you I will sacrifice people for bones for a second part of the striper AU
Part 1
Made this way later than I meant but it's here!
Soap had to find evidence before accusing Ghost of being a stripper. It wasn't as simple as just admitting he went to a strip club. At no point did it occur to him that this may seem malicious.
Soap didn't want to cross the line of being creepy so he never did something like follow Ghost to his car or anything. He did watch him closely at work and asked a few of his students if they knew anything about him.
Mila, Graves's teaching assistant, hummed. "He's pretty cool. He's the English professor, super secretive."
"Nice ass." Someone shouted.
Mila nodded.
"Don't talk about a professor like that. At least not in front of me. I need plausible deniability."
She laughed. "Yeah. We think he's single, but he's always wearing gloves so we haven't been able to check for a ring."
"You guys keep watching?"
"Yeah, he's a big part of the rumor mill."
Fuck. So Soap couldn't ask around about strippers. Mila would connect the two in moments. He sighed.
Mila smiled. "Do he do the thing to you?"
"The thing?..." Soap blushed. Oh no. Did Ghost do this all the time? Toyed with his coworkers hearts?
"Where he freaks you out real bad? I don't think it's on purpose but he'll stare at people or just... in general do weird stuff. I think he's a nice guy, but he's apparently ex military as well. He's interesting."
Soap thought of Ghost grinding on him the night before, seducing Soap enough to be willing to throw it all away for the night. He shook his head. "Nah, he's done nothing."
"Why did you ask about him then?"
"Noticed him making tea this morning and was just wondering about him."
Mila nodded. "That's all I know. I'll keep my ear to the ground for anything you might find interesting."
Soap just nodded, deciding not to push on what she thinks he'd find interesting.
After a week of nothing, Soap went to the strip club again, this time alone. He brought plenty of cash, willing to trade any of it for Ghost's attention.
Ghost saw him but he was with another client. Soap had put together that Ghost had given him special treatment a while ago, but it was still exhilarating to see this guy not even be able to put his hands on Ghost's waist, knowing he had gotten to run his hands down his back. They had been so close Soap could feel his breath and this guy had to leave an inch between them for Jesus.
Pretty privilege strikes again.
Once the other guy had either ran out of money or interest, Ghost beelined towards Soap.
"Please don't be my Vargas. I don't think you make enough money for it."
Soap shrugged at him. "You don't know what kind of job I have. I could be a wealthy business man."
Ghost laughed and Soap was immediately a puddle. "Let me guess, hoping to get another private dance?"
"yes. And I'll have you know, I checked with a friend and they said 300 is really high, especially for this club." Soap was already handing over the 300 dollars.
Ghost smiled. "Yeah. It is." He tugged him along, fingers going through his belt loops. Just like before he started on the pole, but it seemed... less serious somehow. He went in circles but it was more fun and flaunting than the graceful flow of before.
Soap smiled to himself and just watched him, finding it endearing. "What do you do outside of this?"
"Didn't realize we were playing 20 questions."
"Just trying to get to know you a little."
Ghost stalked over. He put his foot next to Soap's head and leaned in, showing off just how much bigger he was. "Didn't someone warn you not to fall for strippers? There's hundreds of songs about it."
"Don't be so alluring and this wouldn't happen."
Ghost laughed and turned around, laying against him so his head was on Soap's shoulder and Soap could look down over his chest. He swallowed thickly and gently touched.
It felt sinful to trail his fingers over his skin. He went over each scar, able to feel now that they were likely from knife fights. They were too curved and messy, clearly from someone slashing.
Ghost went to move and Soap yanked him closer. Trying to hold on to him. To this identity that had found its way into his life in so many places. That didn't make sense. Two separate people who were clearly the same person, in both parts of his life.
How many times had he been dragged here and they passed each other? Or at work, how many times did they sit silently in the same break room, Soap making coffee and Ghost making tea, fated lovers passing like ships in the night?
Well, he didn't want to just pass again. To give up a chance to be happy with him.
But his tongue failed. It didn't put his thoughts into words that captured what he wanted.
"How much for a night?"
"Not a prostitute." Was all Ghost responded, looking at him through his lashes. Pretty, thick and blond, just like the man who had them. "I have a friend I can call if its the mask that does it for you."
"Nae. Not the mask. Think it's just you."
"Johnny..."
"I never told ya my name."
They both paused. "Your friend called you it dumbass. The one with the hat on."
Soap deflated, having hoped he'd catch Ghost so he could bring up the college. In reality, he had caught Ghost in a lie, Ghost did know his name from his other job, but he was quick with a reason.
Ghost looked at him and sighed. "You're cute. But I think it's best you don't keep sniffing around." He got up, his toned back flexing as he stretched his arms. "Think you're looking for love in the wrong places."
Soap grabbed his hips and kissed his back. It was impulse. Everything he had just been told not to do. Ghost shivered and let him kiss up his spine.
"Johnny. Come on. Don't be a sore loser. You got my attention."
"Want a whole lot more than your attention."
Ghost tsked and turned around. "If I give you a kiss, let you get it all out of your system, promise to fuck off?"
"Yes, sir." Soap said, knowing he was fronting.
Ghost lifted it and Soap paused, finally seeing the scary scarring he kept talking about. It was too bad, just some... burns? and a Glasgow smile.
"Keep staring and I change my mind and get you banned."
Soap quickly leaned in to get his kiss. Ghost grabbed him by his hips and yanked him closer, quickly getting control.
Johnny was whipped. If Ghost asked him to jump, he'd do it as high as he could and ask if he needed him to do it again. Jump off a bridge and he'd go flying. He followed Ghost's lips as he pulled away.
"It's late. My shift ended ten minutes ago. I'm leaving."
Soap nodded, coming down to Earth slowly. He stood outside for a while, just staring at the stars.
Ghost kissed him.
Ghost also told him to fuck off.
But... Simon and Ghost were separate people.
Soap waited in the breakroom for most of the day, any time he wasn't teaching, he was there.
Professor Riley came in, wearing a different soft jacket that covered his frankly ridiculous physique.
Soap slid up to him, standing in his personal space.
"Professor MacTavish. What are you doing?"
"Looking for love in the right places this time." Soap smiled cheekily.
Simon flushed so hard his neck went red. "Fucking hell. I was hoping you wouldn't catch on."
"You knew??"
"Course I did. You're not... Look, if you want money, I don't have any. We can have sex if that's what you wan-"
Soap cut him off. "Why would I want money?"
"You're going to blackmail me, right? It's what people normally do."
"No! I'm trying to date you!"
Simon tilted his head. "I'll think about it."
Soap watched him leave with his tea and almost fell to his knees.
He'd think about it????

i’ve been missing the universe from my first fic lately, so enjoy this snippet (my best comedic work yet) from tip of my tongue, he’s pulling my hair; i’d do what he wants anywhere
“Henderson, please do not get pizza sauce on my carpet!” Steve yells across his house at the man-child balancing boxes reaching higher than his head.
“Geez, Steve, relax, would you?” Dustin chides, “Why are you freaking out anyways? I have never once seen your house this clean.”
Steve spares a moment to feel a bit caught out. “He’s right,” he thinks.
He follows Dustin into the living room carrying a stack of plates. He is met with a sight he has grown all too familiar with over the years of the kids using his home as their designated hang out. Coffee table pulled out to the middle of the floor so there is optimal seating around its perimeter; Lucas, Mike, and Will already seated and bickering about Will’s campaign; Max and El on his couch trying to choose a movie to watch; and more D&D paraphernalia then he even understands or knows what to do with. The only thing currently missing are the rest of the adults of the group, all of whom are en route, hopefully with beer and other substances so that Steve can get through another night of fifteen year olds screaming until three in the morning.
“No seriously dude, you look like you’ve seen a ghost, what the hell are you being so weird for?” Mike asks about the time Steve realizes he’s moved the cups around the table three times.
Moving to stand at the head of the table Steve claps his hands together and places his hands on his hips in what the kids call his “mom pose”, deciding to make an announcement. They had originally planned on just introducing Eddie as a friend, and then getting a read from the kids before they told them anything more. But now that they have seemed to figure out that something is up, Steve is loath to keep the secret from them.
“Oh here we go,” Lucas whines.
Mike groans and Max and El perk up in their seats.
“Watch it Sinclair. Don't make me put you on trash duty.”
Lucas mimes zipping his lips shut.
“Thank you. Okay gang. I don’t usually ask you guys to be on your best behavior because my home is your home and all that shit. But today Robs is bringing over this guy that I have been talking to so I really need you guys to be cool.” Steve pleads with the group, feeling irrationally jittery even though he knows they can tell he’s nervous and would never do anything to actually jeopardize or invalidate his worries.
The girls on the couch both look like this is the best news they have ever heard. Meanwhile, Will, Lucas, and Mike all look shellshocked. Dustin is the only one who maintains some sense of a calm demeanor. Immediately diffusing the shock with an “Okay.. well we’re missing a D20, does anyone have a spare in a backpack or something?”
Steve just laughs as his panic is so quickly relieved with the normalcy of these kids, who all immediately take to looking under the table and under pillows for the missing dice. He takes a second to be grateful they all are so quick to support one another, himself included.
Steve, shaking off his shock, responds, “You know what? I think you guys actually left some here last time you came over to play, let me go grab them.”
“Sweet, thanks mom!” Lucas says to Steve’s retreating form, earning himself a middle finger over the shoulder.
On his way down the hall he hears the doorbell and the sounds of Jonathan, Nancy, and Argyle joining the party and making themselves at home. Steve thinks the most home this house has ever felt is when it is full of these kids and these friends.
Walking into his spare room Steve rifles through the top dresser drawer that has turned into some kind of makeshift lost and found, letting out a victorious “aha!” when he lays his hands on Dustin’s missing D20 and the various other matching D-something’s.
He stops in front of the mirror one last time on his way out to give himself a pep talk before Eddie comes over. It's not that he’s nervous to see him, but the fact that Eddie is essentially meeting his family today, and everyone that's important to him. Logically, he knows there is literally no way they won't like him, but a little bit of fear permanently stays lodged in his chest these days and today it's chosen to take root in this situation.
Making his way back to the rowdy table he drops the dice in Dustin’s hand with a flourish and goes to check his phone to see if the rest of the group are almost here. He is broken out of his task to Dustin’s “What the fuck?”
Turning to see Dustin still standing stock still with the dice in his hand Steve makes to reprimand him for his language before getting cut off with “These are Eddie’s.”
Steve freezes. Approximately a million thoughts and questions start running through his head, the most prominent he asks aloud, “How do you guys know Eddie?”
By now the rest of the party has clued into the situation, Lucas chiming in, “Eddie’s our DM when we play at Hellfire. How do you know Eddie?”
Steve stutters, trying to connect the dots.
“Oh my god,” Dustin screeches, “Eddie said he lost his customs after he was playing with a hookup. Was it you?”
Steve has about three seconds to be offended that Eddie referred to him as a “hookup” and to think that he needs to text Eddie a warning before the doorbell rings.
This time, everyone freezes, Steve sees the moment that the kids all suddenly remember that Steve said Robin was bringing a guy over.
Steve, still in shock, is rooted to his spot while Mike runs to the door, flinging it open to reveal Robin and Eddie. If Steve had his wits about him, he would be most interested in the fact that Eddie looks really fucking good in his worn old Black Sabbath tee and ripped jeans with his hair up, but as it is he is too busy reeling.
Steve watches with bated breath as Eddie’s eyes flit to all of the people in the room and connect the same dots that Steve did only moments ago. Eddie’s eyes finally land on Dustin’s open palm with his apparently custom DM dice and he goes to say “Oh shit! You found-”
“Your dice.” Steve finishes for him.
Again, he sees the moment Eddie remembers what he told the kids happened to his dice.
“My dice... Yeah.” He brings a hand up the scratch at the back of his neck.
All of the kids shake out of their shock at once with shouts and jeers of, “STEVE was the hookup?” and “Oh my god I can’t believe this is happening,” and from the girls, hushed giggles, the remaining adults all putting two and two together themselves.
Robin breaks the panic with, “I feel like I’m missing something here.”
Rather than rehash the entire event in front of the kids, Steve finally launches back into action and grabs Eddie and Robin and drags them into the kitchen.
“Oh my fucking god!” Steve screeches, dragging his hands down his face.
He feels Eddie’s presence behind him and feels one arm snake around his waist and another come to rest where his thigh meets his hip, and warm lips dropping a kiss to his neck.
“Why are you freaking out, baby? This is honestly the best case scenario. I’ve been so nervous all day about meeting your kids, come to find out your kids are my kids,” Eddie speaks lowly into Steve’s ear and honestly? He does have a point. But-
“I think I’m mostly freaked out that they figured it out before I got to tell them. I was fully prepared to make an awkward introduction and wait for you guys to hit it off. I was not prepared for all of them staring at me asking if I was the hookup you left your dice with.” And now that he thinks about it, maybe the world hookup is the part that is bothering him the most.
Robin seems to have finally pieced together the puzzle, “Ohhh, shit. These are the kids that always come to your D&D nights. You know, I honestly should have put this together earlier. Especially after that time you came into work talking about your dice getting you into some super kinky sh-”
“Robs!” Steve cuts her off.
“Sorry!” She squeaks. “This is just all so funny to me. Like how did none of us put together that the obnoxious kids that play at your house are the same obnoxious kids that play at Hellfire?”
Eddie laughs over Steve’s shoulder. “Yeah, I don’t even have an argument for that one. This seems like a massive oversight.” He says rubbing circles into Steve’s hips. “Well, at least we know your kids love your new boyfriend already,” and Steve just rolls his eyes, able to hear the smirk in Eddie's voice, “Nice save, Master.”
Steve shakes off a slack-jawed Eddie and makes to go back to join the kids. “Well, we may as well rejoin the kids and suffer through the impending torment.”
Robin and Eddie cackle behind him as they make their way into the living room.
Upon seeing the kids already in the throes of their game Steve just stands and looks out over the room at all of the people he loves and is once again, so grateful for each and every one of them and their ability to make him feel so effortlessly comfortable even at his most nervous.
He should’ve known better than to think Eddie would ever let him win though. He’s struck from his reverie, when he hears Eddie, in what is undoubtedly his dramatic DM voice, say, “Hey anklebiters! Do you guys need a Dad? I’m trying to un-single your mom!”

surgery.
“oh shit, shit, shit” y/n screeched as her hands slipped from the bark of the tree. “oh fuck” she yelled as she landed hard on the ground.
“did you guys hear that?” kiara asked.
“i thinks y/n/ns out there doing more dumb shit. let’s go check it out” john b replied.
jj led the group outside to see y/n on the ground holding her leg in pain.
“dad!” she shouted
“what the hell happened y/n/n?” he said rushing over to her, the rest following.
“uh- i- umm… fell out of the tree?” she said in a questioned tone. jj put his head in his hands. she’s always climbing in the trees but has never fallen out.
“holy shit look at her knee!” sarah said rushing over.
“dude that’s broken.” pope said getting closer.
“no nah it’s not.” y/n tried to get up but jj wouldn’t let her. “dad, let me up.”
“we’re gonna take you to the hospital. where’s your phone?” jj informed her, rubbing her back.
she sighed. “in my room on the bed.” she added an eye roll.
sarah ran inside to go get it.
“be honest, does it hurt?” jj knew his daughter didn’t like to tell people when she’s hurt. she looked away to the ground. “y/n, answer me.” jj demanded.
“a little” she shrugged.
“stay here, i’ll be right back.”
“where are you going?”
“i’m just gonna grab ice to numb it a bit and pain meds so we can get you to the car. i don’t know why your putting on a tough act, that has to hurt like a bitch”
pope, john b, and kie went to watch the footage the cameras had picked up as jj followed to get ice and pain meds.
“oh fuck, that had to hurt,” john b commented as the other two winced.
y/n heard the door open to see sarah with her phone. “thanks sar” y/n smiled as she took her phone from her, still on the ground.
“jeez y/n/n, it’s just getting worse.”
“i’m trying not to look at it but thanks” she said sarcastically.
jj came rushing out with ice, pills, and water. he made her take the pills and lightly put the ice e on her knee, causing her to wince in pain.
“sorry, kid. i know it hurts. it’ll feel better soon and once we can move you, we’ll take you to the hospital.”
“i don’t need to go to the hospital, it’s alright.” she faked a smile as her leg started shaking.
“ew, why’s it doing that” sarah commented.
y/ns eyes grew wide, knowing she didn’t know why. “uh- what the fuck” she frowned.
“y/n” jj rolled his eyes at the language but couldn’t help but be more worried. “we’re just gonna take you now. sarah can you get the others?”
“on it” she ran inside.
the rest came rushing out to y/ns leg shaking and her starting to panic, and jj trying not to freak out to comfort her.
“jb, can you take her to the twinkie? i’m starting it now.”
“uh yea, i got it.” he scooped y/n up and she wrapped her arms around his neck. he brought her to the cool twinkie and layed her on the seat. they put a pillow under it and the rest hopped in a jj drove to the hospital.
they got to the hospital at the best time of day, no one was there, meaning they got taken back in a matter of minutes.
“are you all coming back?” the nurse asked looking at the pogues. “it s fine with me, i was just wondering.”
kie shrugged her shoulders and came with jj, the rest following behind.
“why’s her leg shaking?” jj asked as they took her into a room.
“it’s probably anxiety. she can’t control it, but it’s best to calm down. we don’t want it to move it around more. what i can tell you from looking at it is that definitely something is broken. we just need to figure out what so we can help.”
john b looked at y/n. “ you hear that? you need to relax, kid.” she nodded her head but nothing was helping.
“so we can’t do an x-ray until it stops moving. i’m gonna give her some anti anxiety medicine, and numbing medicine .” the doctor explained as she prepared numbing shots and an anxiety pill.
“ok.” jj answered, holding y/ns hand.
“take this first.” the doctor handed her the pill and a glass of water. she took them but it wouldn’t help for another twenty minutes.
“i know that it hurts so this will help, it should start to work in around five minutes. three, two, one” she injected the long needle into her knee. “now we wait. i’ll check on you in a few minutes and get the x-rays ready.” she left the room
“what were u even doing in a tree, y/n?” pope asked shaking his head.
“dunno” she said. she felt a little loopy from the medicine but not too bad, not like she was gonna experience later.
“whatever, i just hope your ok.” jj said brushing her hair out of her face as she gave a half smile.
around ten minutes later, she was ready for z rays. the nurse wheeled her into the x ray room and jj lifted her onto the table. the pogues waited in the room for them to be done.
they shot a bunch of x rays, which all clearly showed that she both dislocated and fractured a bone in her knee.
the doctor looked at it with her colleagues. “that has to hurt. i’m surprised she’s not bawling. it’s rare that we see both.”
“she’s gonna need surgery today.” another doctor added squinting at the picture on the computer.
“when can we do it?” one of them asked.
“we have an opening at two, they can do it then.” y/ns main doctor checked her watch.
“that in 3 hours… can we make it in time?” the doctor asked. “we can do that, right?”
“definitely. she has to be in pain, we need to fix it as soon as possible.” a prepping nurse answered.
“alright, i’ll go tell the family.”
around thirty minutes after they finished the x ray and got her back into the room, the doctor came in.
“what is it?” jj asked eagerly.
“so it looks like she dislocated it, and when she landed back on it, it wanted to pop back in, but the hit was too powerful so it fractured. so right now, she’s sitting with a dislocated and fractured knee. i don’t know how she hasn’t cried.” the doctor explained to the former pogues.
“jesus, y/n. how do you even manage to do this shit.” john b shook his head.
“i’m a pro” she smiled.
“so how do we fix it?” kiara asked the doctor.
“she’s going to need surgery. i’ve already talked to my team about it, they have an opening a lot 2, which would be the best time to do it.” the doctor informed. “does that work?”
jj and the rest of the pogues looked to y/n for an answer. “i guess,” she shrugged.
“alright. they are going to prep the room and im going to have to take off your nail polish, have you hop in the shower for a minute, take off your makeup, and take out any piercings you have.” y/n nodded. “when was the last time you ate?”
“uhhhh… last night?” y/n hated breakfast, although sometimes jj made her eat. she was already outside so he wasn’t going to pry.
“ok”
it was time for her to go back. “love ya kid, see you soon.” jj kissed the top of her head as they wheeled her to the pre op room.
“love you to,” she smiled
the rest of the group said goodbye and see you soon.
“how does this kid get into this shit,” jj said in the waiting room, placing his head in his hands.
“she’s your daughter” sarah laughed.
“are you the family of y/n maybank?” a nurse came out to ask. they all focused their attention on her as she spoke. “the surgery went well, you can see her now. she’s loopy and silly, just keep that in mind.”
“show time!” kie laughed as they followed the nurse into the room.
they walked into y/n talking to a doctor. “you know what’s crazy? i don’t even fucking feel my leg! that’s so funny”
“oh god” jj said in embarrassment.
“that’s such a funny fucking word! fuck, fuck, fuck. my dad says that a lot did you know that?” she added.
“shhh, y/n you can’t say that in a hospital.” sarah said to her
“sarah!?! is that you!?! you came to see me?” she laughed.
jb and pope tried not to laugh.
“i m high” she laughed “this is what it feels like” her eyes went wide when she saw her dad.
“oh hi dad… i was just kidding isn’t that crazy! look my arm is high is what i mean!” she lifted her arm in the sky and flung it around. “what are you even doing here man?”
“i’m your dad, y/n”
“i aready have two of those! tristen’s daddy and your” she put her finger on his nose, “dad”
john b and pope couldn’t hold back anymore, they bursted out laughing.
“hey! are u laughing at me sir” she spoke in an elglish accent, “the queen will here about this,”
“hey where is tristen?” she said loopy in her normal accent.
“he couldn’t come, y/n/n” sarah informend
“what! imma fight him! imma get him with my cast like what!” she made fighting noises as her eyes got heavier
“can you drink some water, y/n/n” jj asked holding a cup with a straw to her lips.
“get that thing away from meeeeeee i don’t want know waterrrrrrrr” she laugh cried
“i told them i smoke weed” she pointed at the nurse.
“she didn’t” the nurse laughed
“why’s i so drrrrunk! i mean i don’t that feels like” she said shifting her eyes side to side “but, if i did, this is what it would be” all the pogues knew she was lying.
“i want to go home, i’ve been her for ten fucking hours!” she said turning herself to the other side
“y/n stop cursing” jj rolled his eyes but couldn’t help but giggle, “please drink the water”
“i can’t! i forgot how to drink water like yesterday” she said twisting her mouth away.
pope was holding his phone recording the whole this.
“hey!” she said when she noticed him “if you wanted pictures you could’ve just asked”
she started reaching for her knee, touching the stitches.
“hey get your hands out of there, babe” jj grabbed her hand. she didn’t say anything but looked him dead and the eyes and used her other hand to touch it. he sighed and grabbed her other hand.
“it hurts dude! i wanna touch it!” she said whining.
“it’s gonna get infected, just ignore it.”
“you look like a purple cool ranch Dorito when you talk like that” she said as her eyes shut slowly.
jj looked away and started cracking up. she calmed down and fell asleep.
“you can take her home once it fully wears off. make sure you keep it covered and ice and lift it and all that stuff. she should be taking these pain meds, she’s gonna be in a lot of pain.”
jb took the pills and they waited for y/n to wake up.
“so what was your guys favorite part of that whole thing” pope laughed.
“definitely the daddy part” john b teased, causing jj to stifle his laugh.
“she’s gonna be so embarrassed when we go back and watch the video” kie laughed.
“mine was when she was touching it, she looked him dead in the eyes”
“ha, same,” Sarah laughed
“dude the drunk one was too good” john b laughed, “and the high”
“i think being called a purple cool ranch dorito was the best part of me day.” jj laughed
“no, no, no, what about i forgot how to drink yesterday” pope claimed.
after the got home, they watched the video with y/n. after the daddy part, all of the pogues stared at y/n as she hid her face, “uhhh what does that mean” she tried to lie.
the same thing happened after the high and drunk parts.
she bursted out laughing when she looked at jj and touched her scar.
after a few months she was fully healed, however, she was not aloud to climb in trees.

Rhea is still in the shower when Nessa finishes getting ready. She sits on her bed, her phone in her hand, the finger over the dial button. She looks to the bathroom door before hitting the dial and putting the phone to her ear. "Hey, Nes," Comes from the other side after only one ring.
"Hey Dom I need you, can I talk to you real quick in the hallway away from being overheard." She asks shakily, guilt filling her for what just happened.
"Corazon, what's wrong?!" Dominik is already in the hallway and knocking on the door. Nessa answers the door and hangs up the phone as Dominik pulls her into the hallway and into a hug which she returns. Dominik pets her head trying to calm her down, "Shhh Mi Vida, what happened?" He tries to soothe, feeling her shake in his arms, too upset to fight about the pet name.
"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry Ducky." She whimpers in his arms. This lets him know something is seriously wrong. She never calls him Ducky unless she needs comfort. "I kissed Demi, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I came out of the shower and it just happened. I know I'm not part of the group and I shouldn't have. She was there and the way she looked at me I just couldn't stop. I shouldn't have, you are trying to make things right and I am just complicating things. I don't want to mess this up." She began to hyperventilate, unable to control her breathing.
Dominik would laugh if Nessa weren't in the middle of freaking out, things are moving faster than he expected. He grabs Nessa by the shoulders and takes a step back bending down to be eye level with her. "Princesa, respira!" He takes a deep breath to have her breathe with him and match it, getting her breathing under control. "The offer is out there for you to join us, you didn't do anything wrong. Like I said, we are happy with whatever you give us. She did not violate our boundaries kissing you, you did not mess anything up. Now stop worrying yourself sick." Dom orders, his voice stern worried about her.
Nessa's lips tremble and she wipes away the tears on her cheeks.
"I think tonight after dinner we all have the boundary discussion, it will help with whatever caused this panic." Dom places his hand on Nessa's cheek, using his thumb to stroke her cheek before pulling her into another hug. "Do you want to wait in my room or go back into your room?" He mutters into her hair and places a kiss there.
"I'll go back into my room Ducky, I don't want to freak out Demi." She answers, trying to pull away only for Dominik to tighten his grip.
"Princesa if you want to kiss any of us you can, with the exception of Finn, he wants to get to know you more but you know that. We will all talk once we are back here after dinner ok?" He rests his chin on the top of her head feeling her nod into his neck. He finally breaks his embrace and kisses her forehead before stepping back now that he is sure she has calmed down. "Are you ok Nes?" He asks, watching her chew her thumbnail and shift her weight back and forth.
"Yeah, sorry for freaking out Dom, I don't want to cause trouble between you guys. I like them, I like how the dynamic seems. I still love you." She admits quietly, glancing up at him through her eyelashes.
"That is very comforting to hear princesa, are you ok to go back in there now?" He asks her as he gestures to the door. Nessa nods and puts her hand on the handle.
"Thanks Dom." She smiles and tries to open the door only for it to not budge. Her face flushes realizing she left her key card in the room. She turns to face Dom wide-eyed, her face turning the shade of her hair.
He starts to laugh and leans forward knocking on the door. After a moment the door swings open to reveal Rhea looking relieved. "Everything ok?" Rhea asks, glancing between Dominik and Nessa.
Dominik gives a thumbs up behind Nessa's back reassuring Rhea that everything is fine and he mouths, "I'll tell you tonight."
Rhea nods and glances at Nessa who is still red in the face. "Bunny are you ok?" Rhea asks, wanting to hear it from her.
Nessa meets her gaze embarrassed, "Yeah just embarrassed" She mumbles and walks past Rhea into the room not seeing the quick exchange between Rhea and Dominik before she closes the door.
__________________________________________________________________________-
Dominik re-enters the room he shares with the other men shaking his head unable to hide his laughter now Nessa is safely in her room. Damien comes out of the shower toweling his hair and looks at Dom curiously. "What happened?" Damien asks.
"Ness apparently called and he bolted out of the room to go to her. I don't know what it is about" Finn explains as Dominik catches his breath from laughing.
"She flipped out because she kissed Rhea and thought we would be mad at her or Rhea because she thought it was like cheating because she hasn't agreed to join us. It was adorable really..." Dominik chuckles again as he explains it, the smile unable to fall from his face.
"No fucking way!" Damien exclaims, his smile matching Dominiks.
"Rhea wants one on one time with her at dinner to talk," Finn reads from his phone and Damien begins pouting and resuming being broody because he wanted to spend more time with Nessa as a group.
"Yeah that's fair, we are having the boundary talk tonight after dinner," Dominik announces to the room shrugging his shoulders.
"Really, has she decided?" Finn asks, clothes in hand and heading towards the vacant bathroom.
"No, but it can't wait till she decides if she is going to be experimenting with the dynamic like she has started to," Dom answers and the other two nod in agreement.
"She is subconsciously aware of boundaries it seems and is trying to make sure she doesn't cross them. She really is an angel isn't she, you picked a good woman Dom." Damien praises and Dom blushes heading over to his outstretched arms where their lips meet in a heavy kiss.
__________________________________________________________________________
"Nessa, did I cross a line with you? I need you to be honest with me." Rhea smoothly moves over to where Nessa is standing and grabs her face like before.
"No, I just had a spiral because I felt like I made you cheat on them. I'm not part of the group like that and thought I crossed one of your boundaries. I kissed you, not the other way around." Nessa explains being unable to lie, especially with how Rhea is looking at and holding her.
"Yeah we are having that discussion tonight it can't be put off." Rhea kisses Nessa's forehead again before releasing her.
"That is what Dom said, I told him what happened." Nessa quietly admits.
"And what else did he say?" Rhea asks, Nessa mumbles and Rhea can't understand what she said. "I'm sorry I didn't catch that love," Rhea asks her to say it again.
"He almost laughed."
"He almost laughed because without knowing it you are already making sure to not cross boundaries that you don't even know are there. It is cute." Rhea explains a smile on her face as she applies her lipstick.
Nessa blushes more, "I don't want to make things more complicated or awkward. I keep making things awkward." Nessa just continues to word vomit and Rhea sighs affectionately.
"You don't make things awkward, you feel awkward, there is a difference. We want to make you feel comfortable. Like earlier you threw my arm around you. That felt natural for both of us, right?." Rhea explains and Nessa looks like a lightbulb went off above her head.
"Ooooohh!" She groans before burying her face in her hands and starts laughing.
"There she is, let's have that Nessa tonight." Rhea grabs one of Nessa's hands from her face and intertwines their fingers together and heads towards the door. They step into the hallway where the boys are waiting and they stop talking as they see Nessa and Rhea holding hands. Nessa tries to pull away in embarrassment but Rhea's grip tightens on her hand not letting go.
"We found a nice bar with a good menu that isn't too far from here." Damien states to the group, mainly for Nessa's sake.
"Who is going to be the DD?" Nessa asks and Finn raises his hand. "I'll be your non drinking buddy then." Nessa smiles, wanting to save herself from further embarrassment by not getting drunk in front of them yet.
"That's fine, you need to eat anyway. We don't plan to drink a lot tonight, love, we have a signing tomorrow morning and Raw on Monday." Damien explains standing and walking on the other side of Nessa as they all make their way to the car.
"Oh, where am I going to be during the signing?" Nessa asks as she wasn't told about having to be at any signing.
"You can hang with us near the tables or hang in the hotel room. It's up to you. Though I think it would be a good idea for you to come, Mariposa." Damien invites and throws his arm around Nessa's shoulder so she can't run ahead to beat him to the car.
"I told you you won't beat me to the car and I mean it, Mamita!" He leans down whispering in her ear as they approach the car. He adds on, "Dom told us what happened, it is perfectly fine. When we get back to the hotel tonight we are going to have the boundaries discussion" Damien opens the door for her to slide in the middle and he gets in after her, Rhea on the other side leaving FInn driving again and Dom in the passenger seat.
"Do you always drive Finn?" Nessa asks curiously, every time they have gone anywhere he has driven.
"Mostly yes, these idiots almost wreck because they get distracted by one thing or another." He explains glancing at her through the mirror and smiling.
The rest of the car ride to the bar passes comfortably, Dom cracks jokes and Rhea doesn't let go of Nessas hand the entire car ride, Damien resting his hand on Nessas thigh, his thumb rubbing gentle circles keeping the blush on her cheeks, and she doesn't stop him. Finn pulls into a parking spot near the bar. Damien gives Nessas thigh a squeeze before getting out of the car and holding the door open for her to get out. Rhea has other plans and keeps her grip on Nessa's hand as she gets out of the car, Nessa having no choice but to follow her. Damien goes broody, glaring at the pair as he closes the door.
"Now that's just rude..." He admonishes them.
"What, Dom Dom opened the door for me and I pulled Nessa out with me. I didn't see you standing there waiting for her." Rhea smirks at Damien who points at them frustrated and Nessa shrugs innocently and smiles.
"Come on, stop arguing I'm hungry" Finn complains, stomping his feet and Nessa can't help but laugh at his antics.
Rhea moves first pulling Nessa behind her their hands still connected, the boys walking with them as they enter the bar. Rhea takes Nessa up to the bar with the other three taking a booth near them. "So sweetheart, tell me about yourself. Dom Dom has been pretty tight lipped when it comes to you" Rhea asks, finally letting go of Nessa's hand to look at the menu.
"Uhh I don't know..." Nessa draws a blank having been put on the spot and still feeling the awkwardness from earlier.
"Like where are you from, what you like, stuff like that. You don't have to give your entire life story, Bunny." Rhea reaches down and squeezes Nessas thigh making a blush rise up her cheeks.
"Well, I moved to San Diego as a kid when my parents split. I met Dom in late 2018 by chance when I was floated to the ER and he was there with a family member. We started talking from there and found out we have a lot in common. I love the colors Red and Purple and my fav bands are Black Veil Brides, MCR, HIM, and Motionless in White, but I also like show tunes. Like Broadway musicals" Nessa rambles off, unable to stop once she starts talking about her favorite things getting very animated.Rhea rests her elbow on the bar and her chin on her hand just enjoying listening to Nessa open up. "Oh and Dom dressed up as the Phantom to surprise me at the hospital Halloween party." Nessa ends, trailing off realizing she spent the better part of five minutes talking about herself and not asking anything about Rhea. "Uh I'm sorry I got carried away." Nessa apologizes, rubbing the back of her neck. Rhea sighs, noticing this pattern with Nessa.
"Nessa, Sweetheart, Bunny, stop apologizing you aren't doing anything wrong. I was enjoying you joyfully telling me about yourself. Though you will have to show me pictures of the Halloween party." Rhea nudges Nessa, seeing her relax a little.
"Well, I saw you also like some of the same bands as me on your Insta. I've seen New Year's Day quite a few times as well as Motionless in White." Nessa states, Rhea nodding along.
"I do have a question for you." Nessa adds, the thought coming to her head after talking about Instagram and Rhea looks at her expecting her to just ask and not wait for permission. "Who watches those beautiful babies when you all rotate where you go on off days?" Nessa takes a sip of the tea she ordered.
"That would be some of my friends in Florida, though we do spend a lot of time in my house since it is bigger. Maybe you'll come down sometime." Rhea leaves the offer in the air.
"Yeah, maybe not the very next time I have to get my apartment in order and get someone to watch and keep it tidy." Nessa agrees, doing a little happy dance as her food is placed in front of her. "So I know the type of music you like, I saw your gear for 2020. Vegeta inspired. I love that. Used to watch Dragon ball z a lot as a kid though it wasn't my favorite." Nessa praises and Rhea fakes offense, placing her hand over her heart and gasps.
"The lack of taste aside from it not being your favorite, what was?"
"Digimon!" Nessa admits and starts laughing at the disgusted face Rhea made.
"I'm just kidding Bunny. Digimon is great too." Rhea sips the drink she ordered and lets out a little moan enjoying the taste. Nessa quirks up her eyebrow at the reaction and it is noticed by Rhea. "Here try it sweetheart." Rhea gently slides it over to Nessa who takes a sip and immediately regrets it. She scrunches up her face, sticks out her tongue and shakes her head to get rid of the taste. Rhea can't help but laugh and slaps the bar as Nessa pouts and chugs her tea to taste something better.
"What the hell is that?" Nessa sputters.
"That dear, is a negroni, what do you like to drink since you clearly don't like that?" Rhea asks, smiling at Nessa who pauses to think.
"Anything where I can't taste the alcohol or a nice Moscato, that's about it. I'm not a big drinker honestly." Nessa admits, shrugging and continuing to eat her food.
At the booth near the bar, the men glance over at Rhea and Nessa laughing and Finn speaks up, "Well that is interesting enough." He comments and the other two turn their attention to him.
"What is babe?" Damien asks, throwing his arm over Finn's shoulder and pulling him closer.
"It seems like Rhea will be bringing her into the dynamic instead of you or Dom." He answers and adds, "She lets Nessa call her Demi when normally she prefers Rhea, they are bonding quickly."
"That's because women's relationships are another ballgame papi, it gets intense and fast. I wouldn't be surprised if she just moves in with her one day. And honestly, they are going to trauma bond at some point too" Dom explains, staring wistfully at the bar where his Mami and Princesa are.
"Trauma bond over what exactly, Dominik?" Damien growls over the table, Dom glancing at him before staring at the table.
"Damo babe, it might be fairly obvious if you think about it now, stop drawing attention to yourself and eat!" Finn shimmies out from under his arm to get some space to eat.
"Hey, guys Mami is leaving the bar," Dominik points out and the three of them turn their attention to the now-alone Nessa.
"Let me go sit with her till Rhea is back-" Damien tries to nudge Finn out of the way.
"No can do luv, you are becoming overbearing. Give her some space, we are right here if anything happens." Finn doesn't budge.
"Come on Dom, back me up babe," Damien tells Dom who shakes his head.
"She is fine Luis calm down. You told me to give her space now you need to. Jesus you got wrapped around her finger worse than I did and we met in the ER." Dominik teases while keeping an eye out for Nessa.
"Oh hell no!" Damien growls seeing someone approach her and she leans back clearly uncomfortable.
"Tranquillo Papi, Mami is heading back, look. Let's see how this plays out." Dominik gestures to where Rhea was walking back towards where Nessa is sitting.
"Let me out of the booth Finn, I won't go over unless something happens, I just want to be ready." Damien orders and Finn shares a look with Dom. Communicating silently. Finn and Dom stand up in Unison, Damien getting up and standing between them his arms crossed clenching his jaw.
They watch as Rhea approaches and stands behind the man making Nessa uncomfortable. Damien grunts as he sees Nessa tell him she is not interested and turns her head away trying to create distance. Together they jump into action when the man grabs Nessa's bicep trying to pull her close to him. Rhea grabs his forearm and yanks it off and twists it behind him slamming his head onto the bar.
Dominik goes to Nessa, gently guiding her off of the bar stool and behind him creating distance from the altercation as Finn tries to pull Rhea off as she yells at the man for putting hands on Nessa. Damien glares down Finn who is standing between him and Rhea holding the guy down on the bar who is fighting to get out of her grip.
____________________________________________________________________________
" I have to go to the bathroom, will you be ok for a few minutes?" Rhea asks, patting Nessa's knee as she gets off her bar stool.
"I'm not a helpless little kid Rhea, go take care of business," Nessa rolls her eyes and sticks her tongue out playfully, Rhea doing the same while walking away. Nessa goes back to eating, feeling miles more comfortable than she did when they arrived. She jumps slightly when there is a tap on her shoulder. She turns to see who tapped her and it is someone she doesn't know.
"Hi, I'm sorry to disturb you but I wanted to shoot my shot and ask for your number, gorgeous."
"Oh, I'm flattered but I'm actually here with someone." Nessa tries to gently turn him down but he steps closer leaning against the bar and she leans back trying to get some space.
"That doesn't matter baby, you need a man, not a woman that looks like a man."
"First of all I am not interested. Second, you didn't even ask my name and, third, she is one of the most gorgeous women I have ever seen let alone met. I should be so lucky if she wants me. Now go and leave me alone." Nessa firmly shuts him down seeing Rhea come up behind him. Thinking it was over she turns to face forward ignoring his attempts to continue talking.
She isn't shocked when he grabs her bicep trying to make her look at him, she is however surprised by the force which his arm is ripped off her body and his head getting slammed on the counter. She gets almost dizzy at how fast things move, with Dom pulling her off the stool and pushing her behind him, Rhea yelling at the guy who grabbed her and Finn standing between Damien and Rhea and the guy trying to meditate even though he is also furious.
"Don't even breathe in her direction again or I will end you!" Rhea threatens her lips close to his ear, the guy shaking as she lowers her voice and continues,
"I heard what you said, you aren't man enough for her or any woman. I may look like a man but I pulled her and you couldn't." Nessa sees the pain in Rhea's eyes as she twists what he told Nessa.
"Hey It's ok, I'm ok! " Nessa gets their attention as security comes up and pulls Rhea off of him.
"Hey, she was just protecting me, he wouldn't take no for an answer and grabbed me." Nessa explains to security.
"We understand but there is a zero tolerance policy so we are going to have to ask you to leave or we will call the cops." The guard says and starts ushering them towards the door. Nessa instinctually reaches for Dom's hand needing to feel grounded.
"Well, at least we got free food from it!" Finn jokes and Damien gives him a shove, both of them chuckling.
"Hey Demi!" Nessa calls out and holds out her free hand for Rhea to grab.
"You don't look like a man, you are gorgeous don't let that asshole get to you." Nessa squeezes Rhea's hand trying to comfort her. Rhea smiles down at Nessa sadly.
"Thank you ,Bunny!" Rhea raises their intertwined hands to her lips and places a gentle kiss on them.
"Mariposa, are you sure you are alright?" Damien asks.
Nessa glances back at him before answering, "Yeah it's not the first time something like that happened. I just tend to not go out. Once Dom asked me out there was no need to and well let's just leave it at that." She explains and Damien clenches his jaw and fists, Finn has a similar expression on his face.
The ride back to the hotel was quiet the mood almost suffocating. Nessa in the back seat between Dominik and Rhea. Rhea's hand in Nessa's again, this time Nessa rubbing soothing circles to the top of Rhea's hand. Dominik resting his knee against Nessa's just for her to be able to grab to gound herself if she needs it.
___________________________________________________________________________
Damien opens the hotel room door letting Nessa and Rhea enter first, the rest of them filing in after and plopping down on various surfaces. Dominik sits in the armchair in the corner of the room and Nessa goes and sits on the arm next to him. Knowing he can help with the conversation that is about to come. Nessa clears her throat, "So, Demi said we would talk about boundaries tonight, but with what just happened maybe we should postpone it at least till we are not so upset." Nessa offers while fidgeting with the hem of her shirt.
Dominik reaches up and grabs her hand before answering, "I think that conversation can't be put off, Nes..." and the rest of them nod in agreement.
"Let's start with you Bunny, what are your boundaries, how can we help you feel more comfortable?" Rhea asks and Nessa bites her lip trying to think of her answer.
"I need honesty, total honesty and open communication. I can't do lies and manipulation again." Dom squeezes Nessa's hand for comfort as she answers.
"Reasonable but mariposa I know there is more, what else?" Damien softly asks. Nessa looks around the room like she is trying to find the answer.
"She has touch aversion, so don't sneak up on her from behind and grab her." Dominik adds and Nessa looks at him with appreciation.
"I have no problem with y'all opening doors, but I am not an invalid let me do it sometimes and occasionally carry my own bags. I need to feel useful please. Also I don't want to seem or feel financially dependent on you. Let me buy my own things.. I .. I can't just ... please." Nessa rambles leaning against Dom's shoulder a little, their hands still interlocked together.
"Ok, those are fair and I agree to those." Finn speaks first, the rest chiming in agreement.
"For us there is a laundry list as a group and each of us has our own that tie into the group list. Yours does as well Bunny." Rhea explains leaning forward on her knees, her hands clasped in front of her.
"Well what are they?" Nessa asks, looking at each of them.
"First is what I have told you. Communicate, always, what you feel, if you are uncomfortable with something, what you like, stuff like this conversation." Rhea answers her smiling.
Damien chimes in after, "Birth control is a must, either condoms or birth control for Rhea and you if you join. We do want kids in the future and that has to be discussed beforehand." Nessa nods and glances at Dominik who gives her a calming smile and she squeezes his hand in thanks.
"What if it fails?" Nessa asks all too aware of how these things fail.
"That is a bridge that is crossed if we get to it. We have no say in what you do to your body but would like to at least be involved with the discussion." Finn answers kindly knowing she means the question honestly and not in an attempt of anything nefarious.
"On the subject of birth control I think sex with you Nessa is off the table until you agree to join us. Kissing and cuddling and little touches here and there are fine but full on sexual contact should not happen. It would complicate things unnecessarily." Dominik offers up to the room.
"Yeah I think that is a good Idea." Nessa agrees, using her free hand to rub down the thigh of her pants. Dominik notices and calls for Finn.
"Hey Finn, could you grab from my luggage the bag of gummy bears." Finn stares confused for a second until he sees Dominik's eyes flicker to Nessa. Finn nods and quickly retrieves it, handing the bag to Nessa instead of Dominik.
"Thank you." Nessa thanks him shyly and takes the bag, popping a few in her mouth and chewing.
Damien smiles at how adorable Nessa is when she is being shy and continues, "Speaking of sex, Finn is Demisexual as I told you so no sexual physical contact unless you have asked and he verbally consents or he initiates it himself. Finn will let you know when he is comfortable with his sexual attraction with you, and he will be very vocal as to how he would like his attraction to be displayed, right babe?"
"Thank you Luis for explaining that let me just add something, some romantic gestures are ok though, I can see physical contact is a love language for you, especially having touch aversion so if you would like contact like that from me do not be embarrassed to ask any of us once you trust us enough. You are a very sweet woman and I would like to get to know you better." Finn adds on to what Damien explained.
"Also Nessa, we openly discuss kinks, that can be a conversation for later once you are settled but this can't work if needs aren't being met so there will be a kink negotiation later on if you join us." Dominik explains and grabs some of the gummy bears.
"We are vocal about our needs so they get met and we try to meet each other's needs to the best of our ability. To be attentive to those needs. So you'll need to voice your needs both sexual and otherwise so we can better take care of you and you of us Bunny." Rhea explains going over and sitting on the floor next to the armchair and resting her head on Nessa's leg that is hanging down.
"I don't do well with being yelled at, ever so if you are upset with me talk don't yell, I understand things get heated and voices raise but never full-out yell." Nessa throws out there, the thought coming to mind.
"Oh yes, that reminds me, when those disagreements happen we don't tell eachother what to feel. We let them feel it and express themselves so long as it is not disrespecting the other boundaries." Rhea mentions, looking up towards Nessa
"You mentioned paying for yourself love, when it comes to food the men pay. We insist. However, your bills, things you want is all you, love, unless we want to give you a treat. You do not need to worry about being financially dependent on any of us. That is how it is with all of us." Finn reassures Nessa's worry from earlier.
"Now sometimes a boundary is crossed accidentally, when that happens we discuss how and why it happened so it doesn't happen again. For the most part. If a safe word is called for whatever reason it is respected that is non-negotiable. That boundary is resolute, is sacrosanct." Damien explains firmly and they all nod along agreeing. Nessa tenses up and shoves some more gummy bears in her mouth trying to force away the memory fighting to the surface of her mind.
"Nessa, can I ask why you have some touch aversion? I understand you have a history of childhood abuse but there is more isn't there?" Damien tries to gently ask quickly adding on, "I ask only because we want to avoid triggers for you and we can't avoid what we don't know."
"Uh, there is always something more. I honestly don't know a single woman who doesn't have similar experiences. It is entirely too common to have that kind of trauma." Nessa circles around the answer. Rhea leans back off Nessa's lap and looks up at her sadly while trying to not get angry at what she has been through and clenches her fist, digging her nails into her palm. She gets up off her spot on the floor and starts pacing around the room.
"Sadly, love, it is and I am sorry for the traumas you have experienced, but will you at least tell us your triggers so we don't cause an episode accidentally?" Finn tries to gently coax it out of her.
Dominik gently tugs her arm to get her attention, "Do you need me to hold you?" He mouths and she nods her head. He gently pulls her into his lap and wraps his arms around her waist as she finishes off the bag of gummy bears shoving the last handful in her mouth to delay having to answer. "Corazon, do you want me to tell them so you don't have to?" Dominik whispers in her ear and she nods trying to keep herself from tearing up from the stress. "Just say your safeword if it becomes too much ok?" Dominik looks her in the eyes and waits until she nods in acknowledgment. He kisses the side of her head before sighing, trying to find the right words. He eyes Damien knowing how he is going to react and tries to communicate silently that he needs to remain calm.
"Nessa's relationship before me, it wasn't easy on her. When I first met her she was still so messed up from him. He alienated her from her family, refused to let her have her own money, made sure she had to rely completely on him, he didn't respect her boundaries and pushed her too far physically, emotionally, mentally, and sexually. He shattered everything bright and warm about her, and he enjoyed doing it. When Nessa tried to speak up in the early days, he put hands on her, abused her, and did everything in his power to make her feel like he was the only one who could love her. It wasn't until..." Dominik pauses when he feels Nessa twitch a bit.
"Yellow," Nessa whispers, gripping the bottom of his shirt which makes him turn his attention solely to her.
"Yellow, ok Nes, was what I was about to say yellow or are we done for the night." He asks, holding her tighter.
"Don't tell that, please. Not yet." She glances at the others in the room, Finn sitting on one of the beds clenching and unclenching his fists, Damien and Rhea pacing around the room clearly upset with the information they just learned.
"Ok, do you want me to tell anymore or is that enough." He asks, resting his head against hers.
"Tell them the triggers... that is enough of the past." Nessa answers, keeping her grip on his shirt.
"What are they, Dom?" Finn asks calmly in comparison to the anger and heat radiating from Damien and Rhea as they pace about the room.
"Yelling in anger, lashing out like punching a wall in anger or frustration, sneaking up behind her and grabbing her, certain body sprays, throwing things. Stuff like that..." Dominik answers, gently swaying Nessa back and forth in the chair. Nessa lets out a shaky breath.
"Who is he? What's his name?" Rhea asks, her voice deep and steeped with anger, stepping closer but stopping when she sees the look on Nessa's face. Rhea takes a moment and takes a deep breath and a step back and changes gears. "Are you ok Bunny?" Rhea asks much calmer than a moment before. Nessa bites her bottom lip but nods, not trusting her voice. Nessa glances over at Damien who is pacing angrily, ranting off in Spanish increasingly getting louder. Rhea focuses on Nessa while Finn goes over to Damien and stops him pacing by placing a hand on his chest.
"Damien take a walk." Finn tells him, trying to get Nessa the space she needs from the angry energy. Damien tries to step forward towards Nessa who buries her face in Dominiks neck.
"Rutabaga." she whispers to him. Rhea looks to Dom curious. He mouths safeword and Rhea springs into action. She goes over to where Finn has blocked Damien.
"Luis go take a walk and calm down, Nessa is done for the night." She orders, giving a little explanation.
"What do you mean she is done for the night?" He asks a little too harshly, voice still pitched dangerously low.
"She said her safeword, you need to step out and give her space." Rhea orders. Damien looks towards where Nessa is still in Dominiks lap and huffs storming out the room, the door closing roughly behind him. Nessa jumps at the sound of the door slamming.
"What does she need Dom Dom," Rhea asks kneeling in front of them, Finn standing beside the chair they are seated in. Dominik rubs up and down Nessa's arm.
"She needs to ground herself, she is embarrassed and the anger in the room deeply unsettled her. Can we have some time alone? She doesn't like others to be around when she does her grounding." Dominik explains, asking for privacy for Nessa.
"Yeah of course, Let us know if she or you need anything." Finn answers gesturing for Rhea to get up and leave with him. Rhea stays in that position for a moment, giving Nessa's knee a gentle squeeze and stands up. Kissing Nessa's forehead and then Dominik before following Finn out the door.
"Ok princesa, deep breaths and tell me 5 things you hear." He coaxes.
"Your heartbeat, the cars outside, the shower running in the next room, electricity humming and you tapping your foot on the floor," She lists off, playing with the hem of his shirt.
"Good, now 4 things you see," he guides and she looks around the room
"The god ugly carpet, clothes everywhere, the tattoos on your knuckles and the empty bag of gummybears on the floor." Her breathing begins to even out as she lists off the things.
"Ok amor, now 3 things you can touch from where you are?" He asks, his head still leaning against hers. She places the hand he isn't holding on top of their intertwined fingers.
"You, the arm of the couch..." She touches the couch and then grabs a strand of his hair, "Your hair." He leans his head back to smile at her.
"Perfect, now deep breath." He takes one to have her do the same and instructs, "Two things you can smell?"
"Your cologne, and your stank ass breath." She smiles, feeling a little calmer and taking a dig at him.
His chest shakes as he laughs, "And now one thing you taste" He finishes the list.
Nessa smacks her lips exaggeratedly, "The aftertaste of the gummy bears that clearly were expired..." She begins to joke and kisses Dominiks cheek.
"Thank you ducky." Nessa leans back on his shoulder and he rubs circles on her palm.
"Anytime Nes, you know I am here for you no matter what?" He promises before wrapping his arms around her again and just holding her to his chest. Just grateful she has forgiven him and proud of how strong she is and how far she has come in her healing.
"I am proud of how far you have come, Nes. I know it isn't easy for you and I am so proud you were able to let them know what happened and that you were so open." He kisses the top of her head that he can reach at that angle. She just hums into his neck clearly not having the energy to respond. "Do you want to go lay down Nes?" He asks and feels her nod against him. He huffs in amusement and tightens his arms when she tries to get up.
"Dom let me up so I can go to my room." She whines and he laughs.
"You want me to carry you?" He offers, maintaining his grip on her.
"No Dom that is fine I want to walk, I need to walk please." She asks quieter this time but confident still. He releases his grip and allows her to slide off his lap. He stands up once Nessa is settled on her feet and holds out his hand for her which she immediately takes. They cross the hallway and she slides her keycard and lets Dominik open the door. They walk in to see Rhea and Finn sitting on the edge of Rhea's bed, Damien on the edge of Nessa's bed facing the other two and they are discussing what they just learned. Finn is the first to notice Nessa and Dom enter the room and hold up his hand to stop the conversation.
" Are you ok, love?" Finn asks and Damien whips his head around to look at Nessa, guilt evident on his face. She nods and leans against Dom and squeezes his hand.
"Yeah, I'm just tired and want to lay down. It is getting kind of late and I just want to sleep." Nessa admits, making her way towards the bed, eyeing the comforter and pillows that look ready to comfort her.
"Hey Bunny, Luis wants to talk to you real quick. Would that be ok or do you want to wait until tomorrow?" Rhea asks, one hundred percent for Damien, who is still perched on the edge of Nessa's bed averting his gaze.
"Uh..Yeah...sure. Just give me a minute please." Nessa shrugs, dropping Dominik's hand and going over to her luggage and pulling out a change of clothes for bed. She disappears into the bathroom for a few minutes and comes back out in a pair of Bailey Sarian shorts and one of Dom's old long sleeve shirts, the sleeves going past her hands, the ends gripped in her hands making sweater paws making her appear even more adorable to the people in the room.
"Oh that's where that shirt went, I was looking for it. I know it used to be your favorite, glad to see it is still your favorite!" Dominik breaks the silence that fell over the room and Rhea snorts trying to hide her laughter. Dom glances at the newer tattos that are on Nessa's thighs he has never seen before but he knows what is under them. Nessa blushes at being caught with the shirt she stole before he broke up with her.
"That is the cutest shit ever." Rhea leans against Finn and continues, "Do you want us to stay with you for a bit, or are you ok being alone with Damien?"
"You can stay, It's your room too, but If Luis wants you to go that's fine..." Nessa gives the decision to Damien who looks appreciative of the option and that she is giving him a bit of control.
"They can stay, after I say what I need to... we will go to our room and leave you be, to sleep" Damien decides and scoots down the bed to give Nessa as much space as she wants. She walks over to where Rhea and Finn are sitting.
"Can I sit here?" She asks, gripping the sleeves tightly. Rhea and Finn scoot over and make space for her so she is directly across from Damien. He leans forward and reaches out with a hand palms up, hoping she would grab it. Nessa eyes it for a moment before gently grabbing it.
"Nessa, my Mariposa, it was not my intention for my earlier anger to trigger you, it was not anger at you, it was anger at someone who dared hurt you, I don't like the thought of anyone, especially you who I already feel deeply connected to, being hurt in anyway, shape or form..." He explains, scooting closer to the edge of the bed. Nessa doesn't scoot away like she did earlier.
"Thank you. I know it was not anger directed at me and I know you did not mean to trigger me. It happens and sometimes I can't control it. You have been nothing but kind and understanding to me from the moment we met at Wrestlemania." Nessa squeezes his hand trying to also reassure him as he is with her.
"I will work on controlling my reactions in anger so that it does not happen again. I don't ever want to make you feel like that again." He promises, clasping her hand between both of his. Nessa gives him a soft smile now she is feeling more grounded.
"Thank you Luis, that... that means a lot to me, all of it. There is a lot to process and recover from tonight though. I would very much like to go to bed now." Nessa tells him and pulls back her hand, resting both hands on her lap. Damien stands up, trying to appear smaller to mitigate the risk of retriggering her. Nessa stands up too and moves out from between the bed. Damien stands there awkwardly, his arms semi held out for a hug, giving the choice to Nessa for the physical touch.
"I... I don't think I can ... right now Luis. I'm sorry..." Nessa fidgets with the sleeves of her sleepshirt and glances towards Dominik who immediately comes to her side and rubs her back calmingly.
"I... uh... goodnight mariposa," He sighs and deflates, turning to leave, Finn and Dom move to follow him.
Rhea looks carefully at Nessa, "I can sleep in the boys room with Damien and Finn if you need me to, Nessa." Rhea offers, trying to give her more space if she needs it. Nessa shakes her head as she slides into her bed.
"No, no, Demi. It's your room too... please stay... only if you want to though. I know you might want to check on Luis to see if he is ok." Nessa begins to ask Rhea to stay only to contradict herself so as to not seem needy.
"No, yeah, I'll stay Bunny. If you need anything let me know ok. I am serious, I know it was rough tonight." Rhea agrees to stay, letting Nessa know she is available for whatever she needs.
"Thank you Demi," Nessa rolls over and curls into herself under the blankets, and stares at the wall. Eventually, Rhea turns off the light and gets into her own bed. Try as she might Nessa can't go to sleep even when Rhea is peacefully snoring in the bed next to her she can't get to sleep. Her mind won't shut off from the day's events, she is physically tired but just can't sleep.
Nessa tosses and turns trying to get some sort of comfort so she can sleep, trying to keep quiet so as to not wake up Rhea, not wanting to worry her even more than she already is. Nessa gets increasingly frustrated and huffs. She lays on her back contemplating what she thinks she needs, or if she should ask.
Nessa gives in after a minute and grabs her phone texting Dominik, "I need you Ducky," Nessa hits send, knowing he will know exactly what she needs. Not even two minutes later Dominik uses the spare keycard from Finn to open the door, something crinkling in his hand. Nessa scoots up the bed and sits up against the headboard as Dominik uses his phone screen as a flashlight to make his way to the bed. He gets in under the covers and hands her the package, his phone still acting as a flashlight.
Nessa sees it is a pack of Oreos and she fights not to squeal as she opens the package and tosses one into her mouth and leans against Dom. He just sits there next to her silently, one arm around her shoulder as she eats the cookies trying to remain quiet. Nessa freezes a cookie halfway to her mouth when she hears Rhea rustling in the other bed.
"Nes, are you ok?" Rhea asks, her voice groggy.
Nessa sheepishly puts another cookie in her mouth and starts chewing, not answering at first.
"Yeah she is ok, just needs to destress a bit. She couldn't sleep." Dominik answers, gently using his thumb to stroke Nessa's shoulder as she eats another Oreo. Rhea gets out of her bed and squeezes into the other side of the bed and grabs an Oreo and eats it. The trio have no need for conversation, they are comfortably quiet together cuddling on Nessa's bed while she eats her stress, Rhea stealing a cookie every once in a while.
They remain like that, eventually passing out in a pile of cuddles and crumbled-up Oreos.

Was missing writing fanfiction while thinking about Kayne talking about all the different universes and then started thinking about my favorite trope, universe swapping, and this dribbled out of me:
---
“Hello,” the man breathed the word out, and John raised his brow at him. He might’ve checked over his shoulder to see if the man was talking to someone else, but the guy was looking directly into his eyes. They seemed to bored into his soul, even.
“What’s your name?” He asked, breathy once again, and before John could respond to the initial greeting. He hadn’t wanted to respond out of politeness, but because going speechless because some asshole on the street was staring him down did not fit his reputation.
“Why are you staring at me?” John demanded just after the question was asked if only to avoid another pause that made him look caught off guard.
“Is your name John?” The man didn’t seem intimidated, he took a small but bold step forward and cocked his head, never breaking eye-contact. As John wondered where he knew this freak from, the man’s eyes downcast and he mumbled something like, “I suppose it doesn’t have to be…”
He had an English accent, and his face wasn’t exactly forgettable. Nothing about him intimidated John but he didn’t have the eyes of someone just anyone would want to fuck with, either. So who was he? How did he know John’s name?
“Listen,” he said, taking a step forward and on reflex John took a step back, “my name is Arthur Lester— I… I think I know you.”
“You think you know me?” John snarled. “What, do you have amnesia? Seeking out long lost relationships? I’ve never seen you before," he was certain.
The man’s eyes widened then he covered his mouth with his hand, covering an odd smile, his breath beginning to come out in little pants.
“Your voice is different…” he said from behind his hand, “… but you talk just like him.”
“What?” John wondered if he was dealing with someone who’d actually lost their mind.
“I’m sorry, this doesn’t make any sense to you. If I’d had more time to think this through I would have been more… subtle, I—,”
“This doesn’t make any sense to me,” John took an aggressive step forward, “I suggest you get the fuck out of my face.”
The man froze, and at first John thought he was terrified, but after a moment of observing his expression, John was sure it wasn’t that. It was something else, he was holding something else back. It unsettled John even further, especially given that John had a few inches on him vertically and horizontally. He should have been terrified, and if he didn’t start acting that way soon, John was going to show him why.
“Listen, John, or—,”
“How do you know my name?” John demanded.
“So it is John?”
Why the fuck is he smiling?
“That’s…” Arthur was almost laughing, “that either makes total sense or no sense at all, or is at least statistically unlikely, I—,” he put his hand over his mouth again to stifle more of his gentle, confusing laughter, “…it’s nice to see you, John,” he said, looking him in the eye again.
John stood still, eyes narrowed, head cocked, trying to tell himself he was all irritated or all creeped out, not a fraction of intrigue.
“I told you, I don’t know you,” John insisted.
“I know you don’t, but I know you, John.”
Why’s he say my name like that?
He turned his head to look across the street, gaze focusing on the bar on the other side for a few seconds, before he looked back at John.
“Would you allow me to buy you a drink?” He asked.
John narrowed his eyes, tried not to look taken aback, and said, “fine.”

Let It Ride - Supernatural rewrite
I do not own the characters, nor the storylines. I'm simply adding a twist to the episodes. Please feel free to help me out with constructive criticism on the story or the writing. Sorry for the mistakes, not proofread and english is not my first language. Here's the secon episode, I hope you like it.
1x01
Word Count: 6,6k
1x02 - Wendigo
Sam jerks awake from a nightmare. He is riding shotgun next to Dean on the Impala, with the Harley tailing them. Hot-Blooded by the Foreigner is playing on the radio. Sam blinks and rubs his eyes and Dean looks over, concerned.
“You okay?” he asks his younger brother, frowning. Sam glances over and away.
“Yeah, I'm fine.” he answers looking out the window. Dean nods and checks the rearview mirror to make sure the Harley is still there.
“Another nightmare?” He looks at his brother again. Sam clears his throat. “You wanna drive for a while?”
Sam laughs. “Dean, your whole life you never once asked me that.”
“Just thought you might want to. Never mind.” he says looking back to the road.
“Look, man, you're worried about me.” Sam says looking at his brother, “I get it, and thank you, but I'm perfectly okay.” he says grabbing a map and dean agrees skeptical. “All right, where are we?”
“We are just outside of Grand Junction.” he answers, looking back at the Harley again.
Sam folds down the map of Colorado that has a large red X labeled 35-111. “You know what?” he looks at Dean “Maybe we shouldn't have left Stanford so soon.” he says still thinking about Jess.
Dean signals and stops on the side of the road. Y/n catches up and stops by his open window. “Sam, we dug around there for a week. We came up with nothing. If you wanna find the thing that killed Jessica—”
“We gotta find Dad first.” Sam agrees without looking up.
“Dad disappearing and this thing showing up again after twenty years, it's no coincidence.” Dean says looking between Sam and y/n.
“Yeah. John will have answers. He'll know what to do.” Y/n dropped more her head to look at Sam.
“It's weird, guys.” he says, finally looking at his older ‘siblings’. “These coordinates he left us.” he pauses for a couple of seconds “This Blackwater Ridge.”
“What about it?” Dean looks back at him.
“There's nothing there. It's just woods.” Sam says putting down the map. “Why is he sending us to the middle of nowhere?”
The Impala and the Harley are parked next to a sign that says "RANGER STATION Lost Creek Trail, Lost Creek National Forest".
“So Blackwater Ridge is pretty remote.” Y/n says looking at a 3D map of the national forest, paying particular attention to the ridge labeled "BLACKWATER RIDGE". Dean looks at the decorations.
“It's cut off by these canyons here, rough terrain, dense forest, abandoned silver and gold mines all over the place.” Sam points around talking to y/n.
“Dude, check out the size of this freaking bear.” Dean exclaims, astonished looking at a framed photo of a man standing behind a much larger bear on the wall. Sam looks over and comes to stand next to Dean.
“And a dozen or more grizzlies in the area. It's no nature hike, that's for sure.” He finishes off looking over his shoulder to y/n.
A forest ranger, walks up behind them; when he speaks, the trio whip around, startled. “You kids aren't planning on going out near Blackwater Ridge by any chance?” the ranger says suspiciously.
“Oh, no, sir.” Y/n says smiling.
“We're environmental study majors from UC Boulder, just working on a paper.” Sam laughs a little creating a cover story. Dean grins and raises a fist.
“Recycle, man.” he says and the other two look at him frowning.
“Bull.” the ranger retorts, turning around. Sam's eyes flick to y/n, while she and Dean don't move. “You're friends with that Haley girl, right?”
Dean considers. “Yes. Yes, we are, Ranger Wilkinson.” he says after checking the ranger’s name tag.
“Well, I will tell you exactly what we told her. Her brother filled out a backcountry permit saying he wouldn't be back from Blackwater until the twenty-fourth, so it's not exactly a missing persons now, is it?” he asks looking at Dean again with one eyebrow raised. Dean shakes his head. “You tell that girl to quit worrying, I'm sure her brother's just fine.”
“We will.” he thinks about it and continues “Well that Haley girl's quite a pistol, huh?”
“That is putting it mildly.” the older man goes behind his desk and rests his mug on it.
“Actually you know what would help is if I could show her a copy of that backcountry permit. You know, so she could see her brother's return date.” The ranger eyes Dean, who simply raises his eyebrows smiling charmingly.
Dean, y/n and Sam leave the ranger station. Dean is holding a piece of paper and laughing.
“What, are you cruising for a hookup or something?” Sam asks.
“What do you mean?” Dean asks stopping and turning to hs brother.
“The coordinates point to Blackwater Ridge, so what are we waiting for? Let's just go find Dad. I mean, why even talk to this girl?” both Dean and y/n look back at him confused.
DEAN and SAM stop on opposite sides of the Impala.
“I don't know, maybe we should know what we're walking into before we actually walk into it?” Dean is on the driver’s side of the Impala, next to y/n, who is holding her Harley’s clutch, while Sam looks at them from the passenger’s side of Baby.
“What?” He looks at both, annoyed.
“Since when are you all shoot first ask questions later, anyway?” y/n asks tilting her head.
“Since now.” Sam turns away; opening the car door.
“Really?” Dean asking opening his side too and looking inside to Sam, who just shrugs. “Let´s go to this Hayley’s house.” He tells y/n and gets in the car.
They all stand at the door to a house. The door opens to reveal Haley Collins. “You must be Haley Collins. I'm Dean, this is Sam and y/n, we're… ah…” he looks at the two and back at the girl “We're rangers with the Park Service. Ranger Wilkinson sent us over. He wanted us to ask a few questions about your brother Tommy.”
Haley hesitates. “Lemme see some ID.” Dean pulls out a fake ID with the name 'Samuel Cole' and holds it up against the screen of the door. She looks at it, then at Dean, who smiles, then opens the door “Come on in.”
“Thanks.” y/n says smiling and entering the house. followed by the two men. Haley catches sight of the Impala.
“That yours?” she points at the car.
Dean looks over his shoulder and smiles. “Yeah.” Sam and y/n are looking back at the Impala.
“Nice car.” She smiles back and turns to lead the trio into the kitchen. Y/n rolls her eyes at Dean’s face, looking back at the girl. Dean turns his head to mouth something to Sam, who also rolls his eyes. “This is my other brother Ben.” She says as they get to the kitchen and a boy is sitting at the table on a laptop.
“So if Tommy's not due back for a while, how do you know something's wrong?” Sam asks sitting down on a chair while Haley does too on the head of the table.
“He checks in every day by cell. He emails, photos, stupid little videos—we haven't heard anything in over three days now.” The girl says and looks over at y/n who’s sitting on her other side.
“Well, maybe he can't get cell reception.” she says looking back at the girl.
“He's got a satellite phone, too.” she answers shaking her head.
“Could it be he's just having fun and forgot to check in?” Dean asks knitting his brows and sitting by y/s side.
“He wouldn't do that.” Ben chimes in. Dean eyes the boy and he looks away.
“Our parents are gone. It's just my two brothers and me. We all keep pretty close tabs on each other.” Haley explains looking at Dean.
“Can I see the pictures he sent you?” Sam asks and Haley agrees, getting up to grab a laptop. She pulls up pictures and turns the computer to the trio.
“That's Tommy.” She clicks twice and another picture comes up, then the still frame opens the latest video.
“Hey Haley, day six, we're still out near Blackwater Ridge. We're fine, keeping safe, so don't worry, okay? Talk to you tomorrow.” Tom says in the video and it ends.
“Excuse me.” Sam says pulling the computer and playing the video again.
“Well, we'll find your brother. We're heading out to Blackwater Ridge first thing.” y/n says turning to the girl and smiling reassuringly.
“Then maybe I'll see you there.” she looks back at the girl “Look, I can't sit around here anymore. So I hired a guy. I'm heading out in the morning, and I'm gonna find Tommy myself.”
“I think I know how you feel.” Dean tells her, looking between Haley and Ben.
“Hey, do you mind forwarding these to me?” Sam asks still looking at the computer screen and Haley agrees.
In a bar, the trio is sitting down at a table. Sam has John’s journal and y/n has some newspaper articles.
“So, Blackwater Ridge doesn't get a lot of traffic. Local campers, mostly. But still, this past April, two hikers went missing out there. They were never found.” she says, looking between the two men. Sam opens John's journal.
“Any before that?” Dean asks looking at her. She hands the newspaper articles to show him.
“Yeah, in 1982, eight different people all vanished in the same year. Authorities said it was a grizzly attack.” Dean reads over the headline “And again in 1959 and again before that in 1936.” While she explains what she found Sam pulls up and opens his laptop, which already has a window open to Tom's video. “Every twenty-three years, just like clockwork.”
“Here. Watch this.” he turns the computer screen to the side of the table y/n and Dean are sitting “Here's a clincher. I downloaded that guy Tommy's video to the laptop. Check this out.” Sam goes through three frames of the video one at a time. A shadow crosses the screen behind Tom.
“Do it again.” y/n asks looking intently at the screen. Sam repeats the frames.
“That's three frames. That's a fraction of a second. Whatever that thing is, it can move.” Dean hits Sam, making him and y/n look up..
“Told you something weird was going on.” Dean says without taking his eyes of the screen.
“Yeah.” The younger man answers, closing the laptop
“I got one more thing.” y/n says grabbing one article from the bottle of the pile and hands Sam “In 'fifty-nine one camper survived this supposed grizzly attack. Just a kid. Barely crawled out of the woods alive.”
Dean looks over at The Lost Creek Gazette.
“Is there a name?” the two ask in unison looking at the girl. who nods and gets up. “C’mon, I found his address already.” Outside the bar she heads to shotgun of the Impala.
“And…? What’s his name?” Sam asks following her, with Dean behind him.
“Robert Shaw.” she says opening the door “I’ll go with you, I’ll just need to come back and grab Dixie afterwards.” she refers to the Harley. The two men take their respective seats, with Dean driving and Sam on the backseat.
This was the arrangement they always had growing up, since Sam is 2 years younger than her, she would normally be shotgun whenever it was just the three of them. And Dean being 2 years older than she was, normally, the designated driver, unless he had found a chick, then the two youngest had to figure out a way to go back to the motel by themselves. In the beginning Dean’s rendezvous bothered her a lot, because she always had a crush on him. With time she learned to ignore it, but whenever she thought about it, her stomach still turned.
Arriving at the old man’s building, they headed to the door and knocked. Using the ranger cover again, Mr. Shaw let them in.
“Look, ranger, I don't know why you're asking me about this. It's public record. I was a kid. My parents got mauled by a—” he stated walking inside the apartment with a cigarette on the corner of his mouth.
Sam interrupts the man “Grizzly? That's what attacked them?” Mr. Shaw takes a puff of his cigarette, takes it out, and nods.
“The other people that went missing that year, those were bear attacks too?” y/n asked looking at the man frowning. They all paused.
“What about all the people that went missing this year? Same thing?” Dean added. Another pause. “If we knew what we were dealing with, we might be able to stop it.” he continued.
“I seriously doubt that. Anyways, I don't see what difference it would make.” Mr. Shaw sits down on a recliner. “You wouldn't believe me. Nobody ever did.”
Sam sits down across from the old men. “Mr. Shaw, what did you see?”
He pauses again. “Nothing. It moved too fast to see. It hid too well. I heard it, though. A roar. Like...no man or animal I ever heard.”
“It came at night?” y/n asked looking between Sam and Mr. Shaw, the latter nods.
“ It got inside your tent?” Sam asks, trying to understand further.
“It got inside our cabin. I was sleeping in front of the fireplace when it came in. It didn't smash a window or break the door.” he looked from Sam to y/n “It unlocked it.” he looked back to Sam “Do you know of a bear that could do something like that? I didn't even wake up till I heard my parents screaming.”
“It killed them?” y/n asked with a calm voice.
“Dragged them off into the night.” Mr Shaw shakes his head. “Why it left me alive… been asking myself that ever since.” He pauses. And then his hands go to his collar. “Did leave me this, though.” The older man opens his collar to reveal three long scars. Claw marks. “There's something evil in those woods. It was some sort of a demon.”
The trio walk the length of a corridor with rooms on either side.
“Spirits and demons don't have to unlock doors. If they want inside, they just go through the walls.” Dean says looking ahead.
“So it's probably something else, something corporeal.” Sam looks at him.
“Corporeal? Excuse me, professor.” Y/n asks, a tone of laugh in her voice.
“Shut up. So what do you guys think?” he says smiling.
“The claws, the speed that it moves...could be a skinwalker, maybe a black dog.” Dean answers also smiling.
“Whatever we're talking about, we're talking about a creature, and it's ‘corporeal’. Which means we can kill it.” Y/n looks at the two brothers.
On the next morning, Dean opens the trunk of the Impala, then the weapons box, and props it open with a shotgun. He puts some guns in a duffel bag, while y/n brings her own duffel over her shoulder. Sam leans in.
“We cannot let that Haley girl go out there.” he says looking at Dean then y/n.
“Oh yeah? What are we gonna tell her? That she can't go into the woods because of a big scary monster?” dean retorts knitting his brows when looking at Sam.
“Yeah.”
“Her brother's missing, Sam. She's not gonna just sit this out. Now we go with her, we protect her, and we keep our eyes peeled for our fuzzy predator friend.” Y/n tells him with a hand under his elbow. Dean picks up his duffel.
“Finding Dad's not enough?” Sam slams the weapons box shut, then the trunk. “Now we gotta babysit too?” Dean stares at Sam. “What?”
“Nothing.” he says and throws the duffel bag at Sam walking off. Sam looks over at y/n, who just shakes her head and follows Dean.
AT the forest, the Impala pulls up. Dean, Sam and Y/n get down and find Haley, Ben and a man checking a shotgun, all with full backpacks.
“I'll tell you again, I don't think Ben should come.” The man tells Haley and shakes his head.
“Roy—” the girl looks at him.
“Look, you're paying me good money to keep everybody safe. I think Ben's safest at home.” Sam opens the back door of the Impala and pulls out two duffel bags, making Roy and Haley look in their direction.
“You guys got room for two more?” Dean asks as Y/n grab one of the duffel Sam is handing her.
“Wait, you want to come with us?” Haley asks, looking at Dean.
“Who are these guys?” Roy asks, getting closer to her.
“Apparently this is all the park service could muster up for the search and rescue.” Haley rolls her eyes and Sam heads past everyone. Y/n and Dean look at eachother.
“You're rangers?” Roy asks eyeing the two that are left.
“That's right.” Dean grins at them.
“And you're hiking out in biker boots and jeans?” Haley points at their feets and pants. Dean and y/n look down at themselves.
“Well, sweetheart, I don't do shorts.” Dean winks and y/n rolls her eyes as they head past Haley.
“What, you think this is funny? It's dangerous back country out there. Her brother might be hurt.”
Sam and Y/n look back. “Believe me, I know how dangerous it can be. We just wanna help them find their brother, that's all.” Dean says passing Sam and Y/n..
The group hikes through the forest, Roy in the lead, then Dean, Haley, Ben, y/n and Sam bringing up the rear.
“Roy, you said you did a little hunting.” Dean looks up at the man in front of him “What kind of furry critters do you hunt?”
“Yeah, more than a little. Mostly buck, sometimes bear.” Roy walks slower.
As Dean passes Roy, he asks “Tell me, uh, Bambi or Yogi ever hunt you back?” Roy grabs Dean. Y/n looks on.
“Whatcha doing, Roy?” Dean asks more quietly staring at Roy. He grabs a stick and pokes the bear trap Dean had almost stepped in. Haley looks annoyed.
“You should watch where you're stepping. Ranger.” he drops the stick and retakes the lead.
“It's a bear trap.” Dean looks back at the rest of the group. Y/n rolls her eyes at Dean.
They hike on. Haley catches up to Dean. “You didn't pack any provisions. You guys are carrying duffel bags. You're not rangers.” Haley grabs Dean's arm, making y/n look up at them. “So who the hell are you?”
Ben passes Haley, Dean and y/n. Sam looks at Dean, who indicates with his expression that Sam and y/n can keep going; they obey, but y/n walks slower.
“Sam and I are brothers, Y/n is our best friend since forever. And we're looking for our father. He might be here, we don't know. I just figured that you and me,” he looks her more intently “we're in the same boat.” Sam passes them.
“Why didn't you just tell me that from the start?” Haley asks confused.
“I'm telling you now. 'sides, it's probably the most honest I've ever been with a woman. ...ever.” he says. Y/n passes them agreeing. “So we okay?” He continues ignoring the girl. Haley pauses, but then agrees.”And what do you mean I didn't pack provisions?” Dean pulls out a big bag of peanut M&Ms and sticks his hand in the bag as he hikes on, tapping y/n on the shoulder and passing the bag to her afterwards. Haley waits a moment, then follows.
After a while hiking Roy, still leading stops. “This is it. Blackwater Ridge.”
Sam heads past Roy. “What coordinates are we at?” he asks and Roy pulls a GPS out reading it.
“Thirty-five and minus one-eleven.”
Y/n comes up to Sam. “You hear that?” she asks the younger man.
“Yeah. Not even crickets.” he answers as Dean reaches them.
“I'm gonna go take a look around.” the guide says rearranging his backpack.
“You shouldn't go off by yourself.” Y/n warns him, looking at the man.
“That's sweet, honey. Don't worry about me.” he waves his gun and pushes between Dean and Sam to retake the lead. They turn back to the others as Ben and Haley catch up.
“All right, everybody stays together. Let's go.” Y/n sighs and tells the rest annoyed at Roy.
“Haley! Over here!” Haley runs towards Roy's voice, followed closely by the others. They come to a halt.
“Oh my God.” she says, alarmed. The tents are torn open and bloody and all the supplies are scattered.
“Looks like a grizzly.” Roy says holding a torn out part of a tent. The rest looks around.
“Tommy?” Haley takes off her backpack and goes through the campsite. “Tommy!” Sam moves to catch up with Haley, shushing her. “Why?”
“Something might still be out there.” he says looking around the woods.
“Sam! Y/n!” they head over to Dean, and crouch next to him. “The bodies were dragged from the campsite. But here, the tracks just vanish. That's weird.” They stand up.
“I'll tell you what, that's no skinwalker or black dog.” y/n tells the two men looking between them. Back at the campsite Haley is crying over Tom’s cellphone.
“Hey, he could still be alive.” Dean tells her when he’s close enough. She gives him a look.
“Help! Help!” a man’s voice yells from the woods. Roy leads the way as everyone drops their gear and runs to the aid of the shouter. “Help! Somebody!” They find no one.
“It seemed like it was coming from around here, didn't it?” Haley says agitated. They listen.
“Everybody back to camp.” Sam says turning and already heading back. At the campsite, all the supplies are missing.
“Our packs!” Haley says, looking around.
“So much for my GPS and my satellite phone.” Roy complains.
“What the hell is going on?” Haley asks fearful looking between Roy and Dean.
“It's smart. It wants to cut us off so we can't call for help.” Y/n says and looks at Sam.
“You mean someone, some nutjob out there just stole all our gear.” Roy looks at her and throws his arms up.
Sam goes to Y/n and Dean.
“I need to speak with you two. In private.” They head a little ways away from the group. “Good. Let me see Dad's journal.” Dean hands it over. Sam opens it and flips through until he finds a particular page while the other two look at him. “All right, check that out.” He points to a First Nations–style drawing of a figure.
“Oh come on, wendigos are in the Minnesota woods or, or northern Michigan. I've never even heard of one this far west.” Dean tells Sam looking back at his brother.
“Yeah, but think about it, Dean. The claws, the way it can mimic a human voice. It actually makes sense.” Y/n exclaims still looking at the page.
“Great.” Dean takes out his pistol. “Well then this is useless.” Sam hands the journal back to Dean.
Sam started going back to the group, but stops and turns “We gotta get these people to safety.” Dean and y/n look at each other and sigh. Back at the campsite, Sam addresses the group. “All right, listen up, it's time to go. Things have gotten...more complicated.”
“What?” Haley asks.
“Kid, don't worry. Whatever's out there, I think I can handle it.” Roy tries to be the alpha again and Sam cut him off.
“It's not me I'm worried about. If you shoot this thing, you're just gonna make it mad. We have to leave. Now.” He looks back to Haley and Ben.
“One, you're talking nonsense. Two, you're in no position to give anybody orders.” Roys takes a step towards Sam.
“Relax.” “Hey!” Y/n and Dean say at the same time stepping closer to Sam and Roy.
“We never should have let you come out here in the first place, all right? I'm trying to protect you.” Sam looks back to Roy who steps right into Sam's space.
“You protect me? I was hunting these woods when your mommy was still kissing you good night.” He looks up, since Sam is taller than him, with a snare on his face.
“Well, this thing it's a damn near perfect hunter.” Y/n says as she and Dean go closer to them and put themselves between the two.
“It's smarter than you, and it's gonna hunt you down and eat you alive unless we get your stupid sorry ass out of here.” Sam tries to get closer to Roy but y/n has a hand on his chest and he doesn’t press it.
Roy laughs. “You know you're crazy, right?”
“Yeah? You ever hunt a wen—” Y/n pushes Sam and Dean comes with her looking at Sam.
“Chill out.” Dean yells in Sam’s face at the same time Haley calls Roy out.
“Stop. Stop it. Everybody just stop. Look. Tommy might still be alive. And I'm not leaving here without him.” She comes closer to Roy.
“Look, it's getting late. This thing is a good hunter in the day, but an unbelievable hunter at night.” Y/n started.
“We'll never beat it, not in the dark. We need to settle in and protect ourselves.” Dean continues and look back at the girl he grew up with.
“How?” Haley asks.
It was already night and the group has built a campfire, and Dean and Y/n draw something in the dirt around the campsite while Haley pokes at the fire.
“One more time, that's…” Haley asks looking at the two.
“Anasazi symbols. It's for protection. The wendigo can't cross over them.” Dean explains again to the girl. Roy laughs, gun over his shoulder.
“Nobody likes a skeptic, Roy.” y/n tells the guide as she heads over to sit next to Sam, who is at the edge of the campsite.
“You wanna tell me what's going on in that freaky head of yours?” she asks, trying to look in his eyes.
“Y/N, I…” He starts but Dean cuts him off getting to them and sitting by y/n side, using her knee as support.
“No, you're not fine. You're like a powder keg, man, it's not like you. I'm supposed to be the belligerent one, remember?” Dean says, scolding him.
“He has a point.” Y/n smiles and points Dean with her head. A pause.
“Dad's not here. I mean, that much we know for sure, right? He would have left us a message, a sign, right?” Sam looks at Dean and waits for an answer.
“Yeah, you're probably right. Tell you the truth, I don't think Dad's ever been to Lost Creek.” Dean looks down, then back to Sam.
“Then let's get these people back to town and let's hit the road. Go find Dad. I mean, why are we still even here?”
“This is why.” Dean takes his hand off y/n knee and holds up John's journal. “This book. This is Dad's single most valuable possession—everything he knows about every evil thing is in here. And he's passed it on to us. I think he wants us to pick up where he left off. You know, saving people, hunting things.”
“The family business.” Y/n finishes Dean’s sentence. He smiles at her and she smiles back.
Sam shakes his head. “That makes no sense. Why doesn't he just… call us? Why doesn't he… tell us what he wants, tell us where he is?”
“I dunno. But the way I see it, Dad's giving us a job to do, and I intend to do it.” He looks back at his brother
“Dean...no. I gotta find Dad. I gotta find Jessica's killer. It's the only thing I can think about.”
“Okay, all right, Sam, we'll find them, I promise.” Dean tells him
“Listen to me, Sammy. You've gotta prepare yourself. I mean, this search could take a while, and all that anger, you can't keep it burning over the long haul. It's gonna kill you. You gotta have patience, man.” Y/n tells him and grabs his hand, making him look at her.
Sam looks down, then up again. “How do you do it? How does Dad do it?”
Y/n looks over at Haley and Ben. “Well for one, them.” Sam follows her gaze.
“Besides, I figure our family's so screwed to hell, maybe we can help some others. Makes things a little bit more bearable.” Dean continues also looking at the siblings by the fire. He pauses and looks at Y/n. “Also, I'll tell you what else helps.” Her eyes meet his.
Sam looks back at Dean.
“Killing as many evil sons of bitches as we possibly can.” The three smile. A twig snaps.
They all hear a voice, probably the WENDIGO “Help me! Please!” Dean stands and readies his gun. “Help!” Sam shines a flashlight about.
“He's trying to draw us out. Just stay cool, stay put.” y/n tells everyone and goes closer to the campfire and the siblings.
“Inside the magic circle?” Roy retorts, laughing without humor.
“Help! Help me!” And then a growl starts.
Roy points his gun at the sound. “Okay, that's no grizzly.”
“It's okay. You'll be all right, I promise.” Haley tells Ben in particular. Another sound sounds closer and she shrieks.
“It's here.” Sam says.
Roy shoots at the rustling, then again. “I hit it!” Roy says and goes to see what he hit.
“Roy, no! Roy!” Dean yells and turns back to Haley and Ben. “Don't move.” Dean, Y/n and Sam run after Roy.
“It's over here! It's in the tree!” they hear the guide up front, but the wendigo reaches down from the tree and snaps Roy's neck.
“Roy!” Sam shines the flashlight around, then they head back to camp.
The next day, after a night taking turns to keep watch, Sam and Y/n are sitting against a hollow tree stump, Sam is holding John's journal and playing with a lanyard attached to it and she has her head on his shoulder with her eyes closed. Dean, Haley and Ben are among the tents.
“Can I ask you something?” Sam starts without taking his eyes off the journal.
“Mm-hm” the girl murmurs not moving.
“Why weren’t you with Dad? Before he disappeared?” he tries to look at her without making her move.
“Well…” she starts and pauses for a couple of seconds “I was supposed to be with Dean, on his hunt. But headed to Bobby’s for a while. She sighs and pauses again.
“Why?” he insists.
“Ah, you know…” she looks at him, still laying on his shoulder. When she realizes he isn’t dropping it, she stands up and sighs again. “I don’t know. The two of us went to a lot of hunts by ourselves this last year. And, sometimes, when is just the two of us…” she looks ahead and finds Dean talking to Haley “it gets a little weird, the tension, and stuff. It wasn’t always, it was actually spreaded…” She looks back to Sam “But still, I needed some time away from him.”
“You still have a crush on him.” Sam half states-half questions, because of course Sam knew. He was her confident when the subject was Dean. And he never told Dean, the same way he never told her all the things Dean always said about her to him. Even though sometimes he just wanted to put both of them in a locked room and just let them leave after they talked about their feelings.
She doesn't answer him, just gives him a sad smile and gets up, holding a hand to him. He takes it and they head towards the group. They decide to go explore. Dean leads the way through the woods, Molotov cocktail in hand. Y/n follows then, Haley and Ben, then Sam. They pass trees with claw marks and blood.
“Dean.” y/n calls the older man to the side.
Dean catches up. “What is it?”
They look around at the trees. There are bloody claw marks and broken branches everywhere. “You know, I was thinking, those claw prints, so clear and distinct. They were almost too easy to follow.”
They all hear a growl. Sam whips around. Trees rustle. Blood drips on y/n’s shirt. Dean notices and looks up, then pushes her out of the way; Roy’s corpse lands where they’d stood seconds before. Sam examines Roy as Dean gets up and helps y/n
“You okay? You got it?” he asks as she takes his hand to get up. She nods and mouths a ‘thank you’ as Sam speaks.
“His neck's broken.” More growling.
“Okay, run, run, run, run, go, go, go!” Dean says as he starts running still holding Y/n’s hand so she follows. Everybody takes off.
Ben falls and Sam hurries back to help him up, dividing the group three and two.
“Come on, I gotcha, I gotcha.” Sam tells Ben as he helps him up. Dean, Haley and Y/n stop short; the wendigo is in front of them. Haley screams.
“Haley?” Ben yells back.
Dean drops the molotov. And they hear Sam’s yell “Dean! Y/n!”
The wendigo has an unconscious Haley on one shoulder and is pulling Dean and Y/n by the ankles on each hand. She looks at Dean and mouths ‘M&M’s’. He looks at her confused. They know it won’t do any good to fight the Wendigo the way they are now. So their best shot is giving Sam a chance to find them. She held out her hand to Dean and he carefully took the bag of candy from his pocket and handed it to her.
She grabs and opens it without making too much noise. Then starts to drop one M&M every couple of steps. When the wendigo raised them from the floor Dean’s head hit a rock and he passed out. She was worried about him, but kept doing her task of leaving Sam’s trail. After they got to its lair, the thing dropped Dean and y/n, leaving her unconscious as well.
Sam and Ben look up after falling through the floor; Dean, y/n and Haley are hanging by their wrists from the ceiling. Sam runs to Dean.
“Dean! Dean!” Sam grabs and shakes dean while Ben is calling Haley. “Dean!” Dean opens his eyes. Hey, you okay?” Dean winces.
“Where’s, Y/n?” Dean asks looking around and spotting her, but when Sam cuts him down he almost falls to the floor.
“I’m going to her now. Calm down. Sit here!” Sam helps him to an empty patch on the floor and goes to y/n who’s still unconscious. Ben passes him with Haley, after releasing her. “Y/n! Wake up! Hey, how are you?”
She opens her eyes slowly and a pained look crosses her face. “I’m amazing.” she says faintly. “Dean?” she asks weakly.
“Right here.” he answer her from his spot, already standing up and going to her and Sam to help out, groaning. Meanwhile, Haley spots Tom, still hanging and starts crying.
“Tommy…” Haley touches Tom's cheek. His head jerks up. Haley jumps back and shrieks. She turns to Sam. “Cut him down!” Sam heads to them and cuts him down. “We're gonna get you home.”
The stolen supplies are piled in the corner. Dean picks up flare guns. “Check it out.”
“Flare guns. Those'll work.” Y/n grins and Sam smiles. Dean laughs and twirls the guns. They head down a tunnel, Dean and Sam in the lead with the flare guns and with y/n between them, and Haley and Ben supporting Tom, who is limping. They hear a growl.
“Looks like someone's home for supper.” Dean looks back at the siblings behind them.
“We'll never outrun it.” Haley looks at the hunters frightened.
Dean looks back at Sam and y/n. “You thinking what I'm thinking?” she nods and Sam answers.
“Yeah, I think so.”
“All right, listen to me. Stay with Sam. He's gonna get you out of here.” y/n says.
“What are you gonna do?” Hayley looks between Dean and y/n.
Dean frowns and looks at her. “no, you’re going with them.”
“I’m not leaving you behind alone! Don’t even try it.”
Dean chuckles and shakes his head looking at the floor. He looks back at Haley and winks, starting to walk back hand in hand to the girl he spent most of his life with.
“Chow time, you freaky bastard!” She yells, smiling back at Dean.
“Yeah, that's right, bring it on, baby, We taste good.” He looks ahead and yells too.
Sam waits until Dean and y/n are a safe distance away and looks back at the three siblings. “All right, come on! Hurry!” The Collinses follow Sam down the tunnel. They hear a growling sound. Sam points the gun at it, then lowers the gun and turns to the Collinses. “Get him outta here.” “Sam, no.” Haley starts.
“Go! Go! Go!” Sam tells them and turns back to the mine.
“Come on, Haley!” Ben starts pulling his sister to the entrance of the mine. Sam holds the flare gun ready to shoot, looking down the tunnel.
“Come on. Come on.” Sam yells and the growling intensifies. Sam turns and: the wendigo is right in his face. Sam shoots and misses, then runs after the Collinses. “Get behind me.” Sam is large enough to hide all three Collinses. The wendigo approaches, taking its time.
“Hey!” they hear Dean’s voice. The wendigo turns. Y/n shoots it in the stomach. The flare goes off and the wendigo goes up in flames. “Not bad, huh?” Dean asks and y/n grins at Sam.
An ambulance loads up Tom. Two police officers interview Ben while Sam stands behind him. A paramedic cleans the last cut in y/n’s cheek. When she sees Ben and Sam leaving the officers side and head to Dean and Haley, who have been patched up already.
Y/n sees Dean smirking lasciviously at Haley, she says something and he nods laughing. The paramedic tells the girl she’s all done and she thanks him. Not wanting to head in Dean’s direction, but everyone’s there already. Another paramedic calls Haley and she followed him, not before leaving a kiss on Dean's cheek. Y/n’s stomach turns, but she looks down.
“Man, I hate camping.” Dean says as soon as y/n reaches the Impala and sits down next to him.
“Me too.” “Yeah.” Sam and her answer him.
“Sam,” she looks past Dean at him, “you know we're gonna find John, right?”
“Yeah, I know. But in the meantime?” He turns his eyes to Dean “I'm driving.”
Dean looks down at his keyes, as he considers it. He throws them in the air and Sam grabs it. Y/n runs to shotgun and gets in the car, when Dean realizes, he looks at her incredulously.
“You snooze, you lose, Winchester.” she winks at him when Sam enters the driver’s seat. Looking at the sky Dean heads to the backseat. Sam turns the keyes and ‘Fly By Night’ by Rush begins to play while they drive off.

hey 😘 do you think you could write a percy jackson x sister reader. it's totally up to you and i'm good with anything but angst/annabeth involved with percy. thank you!!
The Curse of Aphrodite
Pairing: Percy Jackson x Jackson!Reader
Warnings: implied in*est, sibling in*est, Aphrodite being petty
Words: 1866
Summary: You should have feared Aphrodite just as much as you feared Ares. She was terrifying, and her revenge might as well have just ruined your life.
(This is an older fic from my A03 but figure it was perfect for this request :>)
Another hectic day of being a demigod. Trying to keep a low profile from monsters and worst of all. . . getting through Valentine’s Day at school. All the pink hearts and cupids that littered the school’s halls was enough to make anyone grow nauseous. You and your brother Percy could only grin and bear it, for any grumpy comments might carry over to the Goddess of Love herself. She already wasn’t too pleased with Poseidon’s twins. Sure she was willing to give you and Percy advice last summer in that hellish junkyard, but it was for her own agenda and you didn’t like that one bit. And of course as all your friends were well aware of, you wore all your emotions on your sleeve. Including your distaste for the love goddess. Aphrodite saw it bright as day. Used to being adored by millions, she didn’t take too well to your disdain. For even though she let you and Percy out of her limo, you caught her once fluttery eyes ice over when she looked at you. You really should have listened to Annabeth and keep a mask on when you interacted with the gods.
Now you were going through one of the worst days of your life, and that's saying a lot. Everything that could go bad, did. And poor Percy was stuck with you for the entire ride.
“Here.” Percy handed you a slightly dampened paper towel.
Grumbling a ‘thank you’, you take it and dab the front of your shirt that was stained with spaghetti sauce. Your face was still red from the humiliation. Everyone had seen in the cafeteria how your tray of spaghetti seemed to explode onto you.
Percy had helped you clear a few noodles that had landed in your hair.
Gritting your teeth, you begin to rub furiously. “It HAS to be her. Of all freaking days!”
“You should have just been nice to her.”
“Not my fault that you were the googly-eyed one in front of her. That’s how her power works because guys don’t think with their brains!”
“Suiting since Ares doesn’t have any brains.” Snidely remarked Percy with a coy smile. Putting himself at risk just to make you smile was enough to make you dryly chuckle. Percy didn’t have it easy either. Him and Ares had been butting heads ever since your first summer at Camp Half-Blood. He should have feared the animosity that Ares possessed toward him. That was certainly one god you didn’t want to mess with.
Finally admitting defeat, you throw away your paper towel and simply sigh. “Can’t we just ditch for the rest of the day?”
As if he had been debating the same thing seconds ago, Percy easily replied “Mom would kill us. We already have a truancy record here anyway. We just have to push through it.”
That was the last thing you wanted to hear. Hearing it out loud made you want to cry out in frustration. Sitting on the dirty hallway floor next to you, Percy throws an arm over your shoulder. “We’ve been through worse days. In comparison, today is just an annoying hiccup.”
“Even fighting monsters I never had to deal with smelling like cafeteria spaghetti.”
You feel Percy begin to sniff you like a dog, prying a giggle out of you. “I don’t know. It’s not such a bad smell. I happen to like cafeteria spaghetti.”
Rolling your eyes, you offer “Want to switch shirts then?”
“No way!” Percy laughs. “I wouldn’t even be able to squeeze into it.”
Simply imagining Percy stretching out your shirt was enough to make you snort. You had always been the one with a temper and prone to dark moods. Percy, without fail, could find a way to make you laugh. He was your twin after all. No one knew you better than Percy did. He knew the inner workings of your mind and the remedies to whatever ailed you. Claiming it was his duty as the older twin to take care of his younger sibling. There was pride in his voice when he told you that.
“Thanks Perc.” you quietly whisper.
“No problem (nickname).”
That made you groan again. “I told you not to call me that in public.”
You help eachother up once the bell rings and sling your backpack over your shoulder. Of course as students swarmed the halls to get to their next class, many stared your way.
Percy squeezes your hand before leaving you for his own class. “Remember, we’ve been through worse than this.”
Nodding, you squeeze back in return. You were a daughter of Poseidon for crying out loud! Aphrodite didn’t scare you one bit. She can go ahead and make your clothes a mess as much as she wanted. You had fought deadlier monsters than the Lady of the Doves.
Glaring at a sparkly cut out of cupide, you internally challenge her.
Children of Poseidon truly did have seaweed for brains. When you thought you had made it through the school day, there was a storm waiting for you on the walk home. Not an actual storm thankfully, but one that would ruin your life regardless.
Outside of school there was hardly any reminder of the hallmark holiday except for a few flower vendors at each busy corner. Bouquets of red, white, and yellow roses were being sold by the dozen. Store window displays were decorated with multiple shades of pink. At least you were almost home where you could safely hide in your room, put the entire day behind you.
At one corner, Percy presses the crosswalk button while bouncing on his heels impatiently. You look across the street, past the zooming cars to see more street vendors selling Valentine’s Day treats and other cheap trinkets for desperate partners.
Crosswalk light alerting you that it was safe, you and Percy make your way to the other side.
Even though you hated the holiday, you enviously eyed the tasty looking treats for sale. Cookies shaped like conversation hearts caught your attention. They were well made and utterly cute.
Percy stops and looks over your shoulder. “You want one?” He picks up a cellophane package that had two of the cookies comfortably inside, tied off with a red ribbon. There’s even a blue one in here!”
Shocking, Percy liked the blue one. It made you smile how he would never change at least in that manner.
You scooch closer to your brother to read the icing on them. The blue cookie was on top, reading: Be Mine. The other one you couldn’t see as it was hiding behind the top.
“You two make such a cute couple.” An older lady with a knitted lilac beanie atop her crazy curls smiles at you and Percy.
Inwardly you vomit. “Actually-”
“We’re not-” Percy’s voice reacted at the same time with your own protest but the older lady just laughs.
“Aw to be young and shy. Because you two are so cute, I’ll give you them for free!”
Both you and Percy are quick to protest but they fall on deaf ears as she pushes the cookies further into Percy’s hands.
“I insist!”
Glancing at Percy you know he was just as exhausted with arguing with her as you were.
“Um, okay. Thank you so much.” Awkwardly, Percy unzips his backpack and places the cookies safely inside.
Grabbing his arm, you start hurrying the both of you away. “Thank you! You’re very generous!”Once you’re out of her hearing range you shudder. “Couldn’t she tell we’re related?”
“Probably not with those big, pink tinted, sunglasses.” Shrugs Percy. “At least we got free cookies out of it!”
“I’m kinda skeptical about them now.” Warily you shift your attention to his backpack. “It doesn’t make sense that she just let us have them for free.”
“Don’t knock on the first good thing that’s happened to you today!”
Exactly. It was too good to be true. If Annabeth were there, she would agree with you.
When you got home however, the smell of the cookies was simply too good for you to ignore.
Percy handed you the one that had been underneath the blue cookie. The icing was yellow, written on it simply: Love.
You inhale the sweet scent before biting into a corner. Percy hadn’t waited around to eat his cookie like you had.
“That has got to be the best cookie ever.” He comments through a semi-full mouth with cookie crumbs dusting the front of his shirt.
They were amazing. So delicious, you wished you had more to munch on.
“We should have gotten one for mom.” You mention while collapsing on the couch, remote in hand. Homework could wait. You needed to de-stress after the day you had. Your brother didn’t answer you as he had ventured to your shared bedroom. Not paying much attention, you flip through the channels. Down the hall you were able to hear Percy shuffling around the room.
And then a gagging noise.
You sit up. “You okay Perc?”
More gagging had you bolting from the couch and into your room where Percy was on his hands and knees. Back arched, his dry heaving continued.
“Per-” Oh no. A nauseous squirming sensation bubbling in your stomach. Incredibly uncomfortable, you brace yourself against the door frame. Your vision was spinning. For some reason, a memory popped into your head. You, sitting in the back of a limo, arms crossed while your brother did everything in his power to resist Aphrodite’s charm.
”Twins are so special.” She had said. “Have you heard the legend behind twins? They say lovers who commit suicide are reincarnated as twins. Isn’t that romantic?”
Just thinking of her voice made a shiver run through you.
Then it just stopped. Nausea gone and head back to normal, you open your eyes to find Percy recovering too. “Those stupid cookies. . .”
“I told you.” You remark with a small smile. Watching as your brother rolled himself into a sitting position, you run your hand over your forehead. Maybe you should call your mom so she could take you to the hospital. There was clearly something in those cookies. Perhaps you would even get sick again later. If you induced vomiting that should be enough to get it out of your system right?
“(y/n). . .” You heard Percy breathe out and you fear he’s about to feel sick again. When you look at him though, he’s staring right back at you with those gentle sea foam eyes of his. They were sparkling, a misty awe to them as your own heart fluttered in your chest. That’s when you felt like you were floating.
Percy blinked, unable to lift whatever spell the both of you were under.
You think back to your own cookie.
Love.
How stupid you had been. Aphrodite. Of course it was Aphrodite, and this was her curse. She must have been in disguise as the vendor. What a naive child you still were; you should have feared her just as you did Ares. Her vengeance was much more evil. For she could warp the sibling love you had for your twin. Warp it into another Greek Tragedy.
