Hello, can I ask your top fav BL & GL manga/manhwa? Feel free if you want to write why you love them or not....
I love your favorite romance anime recs and want to know your favorite on BL/GL, too...
Also thanks for your kind answer, it really helps me not feeling strange or guilty toward what I like (mlm and wlw media)....
You're welcome!
I've hardly read any manhwa, and even though I've read a good amount of bl manga (sorry I haven't read any gl manga, only seen some anime), I have the memory of a goldfish and have forgotten a lot of them because I don't keep track of them as much. That's why I gravitate more towards anime.
This is going to be the most basic list ever but some of my favorites are:
Sasaki to Miyano and Given (I know I put them on my romance list, but I love the manga for them too).
Omairi desu yo (Beautiful Priest) is really great!
Babylon and by extension X/1999. They're not technically categorized as BL, but I love CLAMP and the relationship character dynamics are so interesting.
Umibe no Étranger: The movie was a little...all over the place, but I loved the manga
Seven days
Hidamari ga Kikoeru (I Hear the Sunspot)
Cello Mellow: I think this was actually a collection of oneshots. I don't remember much about it, but I know I rated it highly
Not a manga but obviously I also love Heaven Official's Blessing too! All of the author's characters are so well written and so heartbreaking and uplifting at the same time 😭
Overall, I think hiranospiercing's lists are much better than mine. A lot of these are on my reading list
Also if anyone has any GL recommendations, help this person out!

Dream final thoughts
I'm calm now. I actually think I won't say as much as originally planned cause I am no longer in the heat of the moment. But I still want to write about this show. Mostly cause I remember I wanted to do the same with GAP and then I didn't. My thoughts will be a mess so I'm sorry beforehand. I don't know where they'll lead throughout the post. SO LET'S FIND OUT TOGETHER.
I'll start by saying, I have read 5 books of Chaoplanoy (GAP, Blank, Dream, Us and Mate). Against my better wishes. I do this because my brain gets anxious by not knowing what happens. So reading the books helps me because it gives me a better idea where it'll go. It sometimes gives more insight to the characters like in Dream or The Secret of Us (which isn't a Chaoplanoy book but serves as an example). It also helps me see the adaptation in a different way and sometimes it helps me appreciate it more, for example, in Blank, which the book felt like Nueng was a bit predatory but the adaptation imo was so good, it just felt like a love story with two people with an age gap and nothing else which the book failed to deliver.
Okay, that being said, I said against my better wishes because if you know me and you talk to me, you will know I do NOT like Chaoplanoy's writing whatsoever. At first I thought it might be issues with translations but as I read more stories, I started to perceive patterns in her writing style that I didn't like.
Onto her adaptations, IDF gave us the biggest GL in recent times, they weren't the first to propose doing one, they just were the fastest so I think they got lucky. And I won't take credit away from the actresses nor the team behind GAP, but I genuinely feel like whomever had taken the first step would have been a success. IDF just so happens to be the first.
I will say, IDF released an initial pilot trailer that looked promising and while the editing and some of the acting choices didn't convince me as much, I was very sold with the plot points. And I think some of the things that distance themselves from the original book were a bit more interesting, like the focus on Song's relationship and the focus on the second lead couple which was scratched till the point they were just crumbs what we were getting. At the end, they decided to change some things at the beginning and then on the second part decided to be more loyal to the book. Which for me didn't work as much. Don't get me wrong, I did like GAP, I just think they did a disservice trying to initially take a different route to the book just to do a U turn and go back to it, because it didn't feel consistent.
And why am I saying all this about GAP when in theory it's my thoughts about Dream?
GREAT QUESTION MY FRIENDS.
And it's simply because while IDF "failed" in GAP by maintaining too loyal to the book they have the opposite issue with Dream, in which they lead astray so much and just didn't arrive to the heart of the people as well as it could have.
Dream, from the 5 books I've read has been the best one. Not only did I not actively dislike it, I genuinely enjoyed it and I genuinely think that had the show been more like the book more people would have.
For starters, a thing I've seen people complain about a lot is the lack of backstory of Kimwan. We're just thrust into their angst and they expect us just to feel for them without previously giving us anything to make us feel for them. That doesn't happen in the book. It starts with them as teenagers. We are told about the dreams, we are told how they met, we're actually told how they didn't get along at first. We get to see their school life. We see how they genuinely met (Mali was a loyal friend to Wan, a bit too loyal, and locked Kim in cause she didn't like how she treated Wan, which wasn't bad just Mali didn't like it). We ACTUALLY get to see Pam and how Wan and her had a rivalry going even them (just because Wan couldn't take someone being as pretty and equally admired as her).
We spend a couple of chapters just getting to know them, their bond just not between them two, but also with their friends. Did you know Kim got better at drawing because of Wan? The drawing she gave her during Valentine's? She practiced until late at night, because she has ALREADY given her a drawing that wasn't very good but she promised the next one was gonna be better, also because she knew Wan was gonna pick her next partner based on gifts.
Wan didn't end up confessing for the same reason as the show with the difference that the mothers WERE together, which was something I didn't like, and I did prefer they just kissed. But it made sense in the book that Wan never confessed, the mothers were together and she knew that would have broken Kim if she found out AFTER they got together.
Imo, in the show Wan could have confessed earlier cause they never actually got together but I guess she lost her bravery.
After we spent knowing them and loving them in highschool for a couple of chapters, which I think was at least 1/3 of the book we have a time jump where their story as adults starts.
The other thing is, we spent so much time with Marwin? Props for Heng, more work supposes that there's more pay for him but not so much for us. Marwin overstayed his welcome.
In the book, he was there but it didn't feel overwhelming. For starters, we know him at the same time Wan does. He is already established as Kim's boyfriend. Wan isn't thrilled but tries because it's Kim's choice. Kim never goes to work with him either. We also hear about the beach, but it's in passing, I think this, contrary to the highschool moments could have served better as a flashback. And tbh, in the show, contrary to the book, Kim seems more interested in Marwin, in the show he's just there. While in the book they have a genuine connection. You aren't necessarily rooting for him but it's understandable why Kim feels comfortable with him, which is exactly why Wan tries.
Another important thing that I think is lacking a bit in the show is that they kind of undersold Kim. Kim is as loyal to Wan as Wan is to Kim. I think one of the moments that reflects that best is in the scene where they're alone with Marwin's parents, in which, yeah they talked bullshit about Kim and Wan jumped them like in the show but then they started attacking Wan and that is Kim's limit. Matter of fact, Wan is surprised how Kim acts, so reassure and not taking anyone's bullshit and she says it herself, she doesn't care what anyone says about her but she will never let anyone talk shit about Wan.
Also, not only are they very loyal to one another, but they are best friends. Wan is actually with Kim when she receives the news about her mother having cancer, unlike the show, she's in late stages and I had hope they would change her dying but they didn't 😔, cause I'm the book she doesn't even receive treatment cause it felt hopeless. And I think stuff like that showcases their bond. I found it odd that you are going through that struggle and your first instinct isn't to tell your best friend even if they were fighting at the time, especially considering their bond.
Next up is the matter of the actual letter and the confessing their feelings. Yay for Samorn and her nosiness for saving her friends. But I actually did prefer how it happened in the books. Samorn, actually keeps telling Wan that she better act soon but she better not do anything on the wedding day, which is understandable. My girl is smart, she knew the consequences.
Wan doesn't throw the letter, or well, she does, on the shooting she's having that same day but our boy Pat picks it up and attempts to read it aloud and Wan is like "Hey that's mine" to which Pat responds with "Not anymore, you threw it". Wan ends up snatching it back and out of her OWN will reads it. By having Samorn taking a pic and telling Wan to read it, it feels like they took away a bit of Wan's autonomy. It just made me feel a bit weird about the whole scene.
I WILL say, the little moment between the four girls and the camping scene afterwards? Impeccable. Wouldn't touch it for nothing in the world. Marvellous. Gorgeous. Lives rent free in my mind. Thank you very much.
And last but definitely not least, the decline of Marwin. I think they shouldn't have cramped it all in the last episode. I think they should have taken 1 episode and a half of a slow decline, cause that's what happened, at first what Marwin started doing wasn't perceived much by Wan, she thought it was weird that both the fathers decided to retire early but nothing much until she realized it was Marwin. Which, btw, another moment in which Kim's loyalty is shown, she met Marwin behind Wan's back because she couldn't take Wan hurting, cause she wasn't getting much jobs done. But Wan interfered, which shows Wan's maturity imo, since she was like "Don't do that on your own. Every hardship we talk about it and we see how we deal with it TOGETHER" which I think is very sweet. Anyway, they did attempt to apologize together like in the show, and his villain monologue also happened but in the show it fell flat. I think it was better established how he became the very thing he didn't want to be. You knew beforehand his dreams and aspirations and how what he did he did it out of love (regarding his businesses) and not money.
I WILL SAY, I don't necessarily think the show is horrible. The actresses are amazing and have great chemistry. I really liked the secondary couple, although I wish we would have seen more of them. I did like they DIDN'T make the fathers soulmates like in the book. I adore the bond between the four girls. I like the inclusion of Pam and Dokrak. I liked Pat and him being such a nice guy. I also think Jessie was a fun addition.
I ALSO think, that with some different editing, rearranging some scenes the show would have been better.
I also think IDF needs to learn that people like angst but different shows and stories require different formulas because angst for the sake of angst isn't fun.
If you're here, thank you for reading this long ass post.
As a treat, some fun facts
- If you've seen Blank, you know that one radio show Anueng likes, well, in the book of Blank, Wan actually calls the station and explains her story with Kim.
- The singer of the MV is Pleng from the Affair book, series coming out this month, on the 30th.
- The other MV actress in the book is a reporter that had a scandal, if I'm not mistaken a sex tape of her with another woman was leak. I think I read somewhere that she also has a book 🤔. But I don't recall her name.
ANYWAY, with that. I leave. I probably didn't say a lot of the stuff I initially wanted but that's mostly because I'm calm now.
One final thing, IDF you shall pay for your crimes. And please give me fluffy Faymay. I DESERVE it 🥺.
PS. I do not want to be tagged as one of those persons that is like "Oh the book is better" and sounds bitchy about literally any adaptation. Far from it. Matter of fact, ask my friends, they'll tell you how much I dislike that IDF has me defending Chaoplanoy's books 😔.
An addition that I forgot and it's very much necessary: I wish they would have, at ANY point, made Kim tell Wan that they IN FACT slept together at the beach, she just gaslighted her cause she got scared? THAT WAS NOT A GODDAMN DREAM AND THAT'S THE HILL I'LL DIE ON!!!

Accidentall text!
- What will they do if you accidentally send a text about them!?
Req -> ☆ | hc + scenario | word count : 932
Warning : none, (maybe teasing on rei's)
info = : gn!reader , "!" Era Set on izumi, sanbaka mentioned,fluff, ✿ : your friend ☆ : you.
-
Izumi sena
↳ - i think he would be shocked but at the same time was "duh i am" When the rambling is about his beauty
his heart actually flutter a bit (will not admit it)
He either will answers the text or just approach you just right then.
Or maybe both?
Before he approach you, he will screenshot the text first so he can always treasure the text if someday you delete the text.
if he's feeling like it he will say thank you.
Maybe ask you to maybe hang out with him sometimes (its a date invitation).
Will act like it doesnt affect him but it does!
If you apologize to him first and promise to delete the text he will say its okay
-
As you were walking towards your friends class, you saw some 3 graders there.
It was the sanbaka : Kaoru, chiaki , and last but not least izumi sena.
He was just standing there watching two of his friends kaoru and chiaki chatting with each other.
Your hurt flutter seeing him. he look so beautifull as always, you then pull out your phone and Saw that your friend texted you.
✿ [friend] : "[name] where are you?"
☆ [you] : "I just saw izumi!!! He look so beautifull!! I cant believe someone like him exist, it feels like he's getting more gorgeous than ever day by day !! He so perfect Do you think if i buy him a shiny ring would he wear it??"
The text was followed by more rambles about izumi, after you finished you look towards the sanbaka again but you didnt expect izumi to look towards his phone.
and was typing something? While blushing..? What is he doing?
You then take a look at your phone again and Saw a notification from izumi. As you tried to process what just happend, you then realized that you send it to izumi instead of your friend.
You start to panic while directly staring at your phone, and didn't realize that someone was approaching you, You then feel someone suddenly poked your shoulder as you turn your Head and Saw that person was Izumi Sena himself.
well, you wish you were strong enough to talk to him.
-
Kaoru hakaze
↳ - i hc him as a loser for love , he would be speechless
Will be flustered
Did not expect that text really
he gotta be giggling and kicking his feet when he saw that especially if he like you so much
if we're talking about "!" kaoru I think he would approach you but "!!" Kaoru no he would NOT approach you until he's ready
i think he would sutter a bit due to nervousness?
if you delete the text right after he approach and act like nothing happened he would be more emmbarassed
Trying to act cool but failed (gl next time hakaze loser kaoru)
-
an ordinary day goes by just like usual.
having casual talk with Kaoru just like everyday, but unfortunately you have a habit that i might said a bad one.
namely it because you always texting your friends about things related to Kaoru and yourself in detail!
usually between how he looks today , of course prettier as always and could also be about what you two are talking about.
and on that you immediately text your friend about it without you realizing you sent it to kaoru instead of your friend , but you had already turned off your phone to even realized.
and when he read it he turn embarrassed.
Beacuse of that whenever you guys passed each other , as you greeted him he will answered shyly.
making you confused and immediately open your phone to chatted your friend about it.
but after you opened your phone you realized that it turned out the ramble that you wanted to send to your friend was instead sended to him.
If you feel embarrassed too then you guys might not talk for a few days but if you don't really care about that and keep talking to him he might pass out (in good way dont worry)
-
Rei sakuma
↳ - i dislike him sm (denial)
Okay i don't think he will be Flustered
but he do will smile and stare at his phone for a long time that the person who pass by him was like "what is wrong with this guy"
Will approach you and talk about it if he or you have time
Will not rush it tho he doesnt like rushing
Oh? You tought he doesnt know how to screenshot well to bad for you he learned how to do it probably from kaoru or koga
Will tease you with that text of course.
like maybe one day you Were mad at him and said
"you're un-attractive or something but he disagree wuth your statement saying "i dont think so" while showing the text you send about how gorgeous he is.
-
maybe it was when he was in the library when he was looking for a book he got a notification from his phone that made him smile like an idiot.
And before he answered the text he obviously screenshot it.
It might can be used in something...
he typed a reply with a "oh? really (*´˘`*)-?"
As he smiles and thought it was kinda cute when he suddenly got a text about how Gorgeous he is.
you apologized and typed that you sent it to the wrong person but whatever you say he already saw it.. He already know
he already saw it.. He already know
He teased you about it making you flustered and dont open your phone of a while after that
he stopped chuckling after being reprimanded by tsumugi who told him that people are calling him scary for silently standing in the corner of the selves while smiling like an idiot.

Watchlist Tag Game!
Thank you @waitmyturtles for tagging me!
Currently watching
A Boss and a Babe - cute, easy to watch
Bed Friend - cute, easy to watch HA! who am I kidding. Despite the icky trauma I love this one. Let's hope it sticks the landing.
Chains of Heart - I was going to wait to watch this one (like Big Dragon) but I got SO DRAWN IN and now I'm obsessed.
The Eighth Sense - I knew a kbl would be gorgeously made but this one is knocking all other kbls out of the park. It's also stabbing me in the heart. But I love it.
Future - a little cringeworthy, a little slow, but it's light and easy.
The Promise - I have to watch this a week behind since I don't have a subscription hence I miss the analysis and discourse, which is needed because the characters' motivations can be frustrating. Plus colours!
UMG - I wish this could have had a midnight museum level of depth, even a 10 years ticket, but it's slapstick crack. Which doesn't make it bad per se but it's a little too light and throwaway whilst also trying to be sort of a character study. I also wish they had given the aliens a blurred focus because they're much less menacing when you can see it's just prosthetics and make-up.
3 Will Be Free - I started this a while ago but stalled mid-way through ep 3. I'll get back to it soon but I find Joss a bit wooden.
Looking forward to watching soon
New shows:
Our Skyy 2 - I might end up having to watch each ep later than everyone else (and thus hiding the tag for the whole series sadly) because Wed and Thurs evenings are the WORST time for me. But SO EXCITED!
Double Savage - I might also have to wait and binge this one later because it might be difficult to squeeze this in with all the above.
Older shows:
The Director who buys me Dinner - the eps are only short, so I could binge it at some point.
HIStory 5: Love in the Future - the ep lengths daunt me, so maybe I'll binge it during my next long break from work?
Big Dragon - not sure when I'll get round to this but it's been on my list since before Christmas.
Ai Long Nhai - this has also been on my list for a while, maybe too long now...
Remember Me - ditto (I can't even remember what this one is about).
To Sir With Love - starting to think I won't watch this though...
Would like to watch but can't for region locked/subscription reasons
Our Dining Table - it looks so soft and domestic!
Destiny Seeker - the colours!
Also - any gl recs gladly taken! It's harder to keep track of what's airing and when with gls...
Tagging some peeps whom I haven't interacted with much recently (it's me not you) and some who have popped up in my notifications recently: @seeking-moonscapes @jemmo @markpakin @elnotwoods @youdontloveme-yet @airenyah @ablazenqueen @wen-kexing-apologist @vegasandhishedgehog @colourme-feral @kyr-kun-chan @lurkingshan

Top 5 Mounts! I love seeing which mounts people are drawn too!
ohhh, that's not something I think about often, and I'm lucky enough to have acquired a hefty number of rare ones, so this is going to be fun and sentimental! and maybe a little humblebraggy im sorry im not trying to be! :D
-------------
Eden
like many players I'm sure, Shadowbringers was when the game really for good hooked me for life, and Ryne is a significant part of that. I loved her character so much that I was overjoyed when I realized the raid series was not only going to expand on her as a character, but give her a girlfriend.
But that's not the only reason; Eden's Promise is also the tier my static formed and we began to take on savage raids, and one of my greatest memories of this game is defeating the final E12S boss alongside them like 0.7 seconds before she enraged. The Oracle of Darkness is still one of my favorite fights in the whole game, and between that, the fact that the whole raid storyline is a handwrapped gift for lesbians who have Ryne as their favorite character, and a personal fondness for FF8 YEAH THAT'S RIGHT I SAID IT SUCK IT GAMEFAQS BOARDS FROM 1998...well, getting to ride Actually Eden in this game kind of rules.
I do wish it played The Extreme though. :V
2. Sunforged
Meanwhile, Abyssos was extremely memorable for, unfortunately, much different reasons. A lot of our group started facing a lot of personal problems IRL, and we had to say goodbye to some very good friends we had made and then bring new ones up to speed on the tier, so it took us an immensely long time to make it all the way to P8S, prog both phases of the fight, and get eight clears for all of us; we were struggling so much that even when the tier unlocked, we weren't able to clear him more than once a week. I still think P8S is too rough around the edges and I like the fight a lot less than the other Pandaemonium finales - not necessarily poorly designed, but extremely demanding to the point it was actually taking a toll on us.
...So basically, to me the Sunforged represents us dragging our broken, battered bodies over the finish line of the raid tier, succeeding despite all the shit both it and real life threw at us. We fought really fuckin' hard for this fucker, and as difficult as it was I'm really, immensely proud of us for managing it.
Also the mount itself is just sick af. Big fire snek!
and it turns into a godsdamned phoenix for flight, come on!!
3. Garlond GL-II
i mean come on this thing was built for biker girl femroes!!
4. Megaloambystoma
I am BEYOND LIVID that the Axolotl mount is locked behind Savage. Savage is for neckbeard no-lifers who play this game 24/7. Give them a crappy Magitek mount or something but cute mounts do NOT belong to raiders!!!
okay but seriously look at this dope. what a good boy. and in addition to being cute AF he ALSO has a sentimental story about my static's experiences with the relevant raid tier: for some strange reason, for the last bits of phase 1 and all of phase 2 of P12S in particular, I was the one who ended up studying the fight, writing down explanations, walking the group through the mechanics, and making callouts. it'd be a little aggrandizing to claim that Pallas Athena is my victory because obviously it's the whole group's... but it is the fight that somehow made me the one confident enough to lead my friends through it.
So in a weird way, this little dope is like, a representation of my self-esteem. I love him.
5. Fat Cat
I'm a cat person. I was morally obligated to buy this. Pay no attention to the mount description that posits that it is either a VOIDSENT using a BLOATED CAT'S CORPSE AS ITS CORPOREAL VESSEL, or a DECEASED PET REANIMATED by one well versed in the NECROMANTIC ARTS. these are lies and slander. look at this :3 face. is this the face of someone who would hide their true insidious voidtinged nature? clearly not. stop worrying about it. you don't need to sleep with a knife under your pillow with this baby around. >:3
this was really fun to reminisce and write about, thank you @disciple-of-frost for the ask!!
#ffxiv#final fantasy xiv#femroe#wol questions#ask games#ffxiv mounts#ffxiv raiding#there are so many good mounts that deserve honorable mentions but it was shockingly easy to narrow down top 5 at least lol#honorable mentions include: pod 602 because i love nier; battle panther which was my first tank achievement mount;#rolling tankard because it comes with a laser button; lunar kamuy because wayward daughter is AMAZING; fae gwiber bc trans rights dragon;#demi-ozma bc i like orb and cube; amaro because Seto still makes me cry; miw miisv bc it's just so out there and hilarious#there's a lot of good stuff! and i don't want to think about how long i've spent collecting all these rare ones! :')#long post#just in case

Comics this week?
Superman: Lost #8 - Priest writes a good Metallo, wish he had used more of the Rogues in the story. Metallo went through a traumatic experience that fucked him up like Supes has, but the difference is Clark still has his loved ones to reach out to if he tries. Metallo has nobody and is all alone, so it was relatable to see him berate Clark for indulging in melancholy. Made for a funny moment whn Kara showed up and beat the hell out of him because she doesn't care about his pain, she just wants to protect her baby cousin. Managed to work in Adam Strange and Black Adam without it feeling like too much of a stretch, does make sense that both Adams are probably the only ones who could relate to Superman's state of mind. I'm really looking forward to the confrontation with Lex, despite starting him off as the businessman Priest's take on him reminds me of Waid's in that Lex at heart is a super villain and that's what he really enjoys doing.
Batman & Robin #3 - DiMeo's art lacks a flow to it that makes it an eyesore to read. It's just a bunch of static pictures pasted together that doesn't transition you from one scene to the next.
Green Lantern #5 - Adams finally kicked things into gear! Climax with Hal sending two constructs across the world to stop two missiles, and that speech he gave earlier felt like the climax to the GL movie I always wanted but still haven't gotten. Felt Top Gun in a way. Sinestro going red because Hal pissed him off that much was hilarious, but I wonder if he's actually bending light the way Hal is able to do with his new ring? The tease about the Emotional Spectrum has me cautious, I don't want another story about the ES "dying" or "running out", but it does intrigue me.
Detective Comics #1077 - An actual good Batman story featuring Catwoman, what a pleasant change of pace from how she's been used in the post King era.
Danger Street #11 - Damn. Despite this being King's bleakest issue yet, it's weirdly the funniest at the same time? The sheer escalation that occurs as things go from bad to worse and the bodies start pilling up made me want to laugh, then made me ashamed for that want. One more issue to go!
Vigil #6 - Ram V writing the best non-Wildstorm Wildstorm title. Giving the Vigil their own Carrier is certainly an upgrade, and the promise that more is coming is one I'll hold him and DC too.
Immortal Thor #4 - The Minotaur's back! Christ he looks terrible but that ending has me hyped. Ewing is certainly in a mood isn't he? Reads as if he's fallen somewhat out of love with corporate comics based on how he positions Dario as a stand-in for Marvel (and he's not subtle about it).
Blade #5 - My only complaint is that I wanted to actually see the fight! Still, Blade training with Dracula has potential.
Fantastic Four #13 - It was nice to get a story where Thing saves the day with his brains, and I do love dinosaurs.
The Deviant #1 - I am going to look quite the fool if Tynion doesn't finish all these series he's starting. Yet I enjoy every single one with this being no exception, sue me.

My opinion on the GMMTV23 teasers
This is in order of which ones I'm more excited to watch.
BL/GL/Queer
For the queer ones I'll be watching everything, or at least give it a try, because all of them look promising.
23.5: this is all I've been waiting for, GMMTV finally doing GLs. I am beyond excited for it and the plot seems like a cute story, I can't wait to watch it.
Cherry Magic Thailand: I have too many thoughts on this so I wrote a separate post on it. Basically I'm equal parts scared and excited, and I'm dying to watch the trailer already.
Last Twilight: seems very interesting, I feel like this could be such a magnific series, and I trust Aof to do it. Jimmy and Sea seem very suited too. Looking forward to it.
Dangerous Romance: yesssss I love it, enemies to lovers and rich/poor, this is *chef kiss*. I was anxious about them getting Perth a role that doesn't suit him but this seems perfect.
Hidden Agenda: I don't care if it's too similar to 2gether, I could watch this trope again and again and not get bored. Even more if it's by JoongDunk who have amazing chemistry.
Our Skyy 2: I've seen a couple of episodes from the original Our Sky and it was pretty nice, just seeing a bit more from the couples without anything major happening. I'm interested in all the couples but especially PatPran because I will always miss Bad Buddy. I know some special episodes are bad but this is directed by Aof so I'm not worried.
Cooking Crush: I don't particularly like series that revolve around food and cooking but it's OffGun so of course I'm going to watch it. The scene where Off licks the sauce off Gun's hand is iconic already.
Only Friends: too messy for me, especially with no guaranteed happy endings, but my interest is picked.
A Boss and a Babe: the titles this year are bad but this one takes the crown, terrible. The boss/intern trope bores me, even more when the boss looks like he's 20 years old, but I'll still be watching because ForceBook deserves another chance. I'm still surprised this couple is not only still alive but they appear together in three trailers, more than any other couple.

Midnight Museum: I like fantasy/magic and I like Gun so yes I'll be watching this 100%.
Find Yourself: yes, I find boss/subordinate stories boring, but only when the boss is male. Seems cute and it's always nice to have a main character who is older than 25.
Loneliness Society: I don't know if it's official but this is the exact same plot as a Sandra Bullock movie I saw a while ago. It was a bit weird but I enjoyed it so I'll be watching this one.
The Interest: It's a movie so it probably won't have an international release but if I could I would watch it only because Bright looks particularly hot in it.
Double Savage: I've been waiting for Perth roles with GMMTV and I like Ohm too. We don't have much of the plot yet, I hope it's a bit more than them fighting all the time.
Wednesday Club: yes I like some of the actors but it's a pass for me.
The Jungle: it took me hearing the word 'playboys' to know I won't like this one. Still, I'm half tempted to give it a shot because it's the only main role for Nanon this year.
There are four more series, two for Win and two for Dew. In my experience GMMTV het romances tend to be of worse quality than bls so if they don't have an actor who I particularly like or an interesting plot I'll probably won't be watching them. Maybe I'll watch the actual trailer when it's ready to see if my interest is picked but I doubt it.

Hello and welcome to the first article of Raven's Reviews. 😊
For this first article I decided to talk about the announcement of the 2023 series of GMMTV which took place on November 22nd. I specify that what I say in this article is only my personal opinion and that you have the right not to have the same.
So let's go !!
1. Enigma ❗️Horror❗️
Really looking forward to this series.
I'm a huge horror fan and I have to admit that the Enigma trailer intrigued me. The passage between the "normal" moment and the "dark" moment is extremely well done. The trailer indicates the genre of the series well without revealing too much about the story.
I don't know the two main actors but they seem really endearing (I love the look of the actor in trailer scenes).😏
Even if the story is not clear I can't wait to discover it and learn more. The poster of the series is also really beautiful. We understand the kind of story it could be.
In short, a really promising first series.
2. A boss and a babe ❗️🏳️🌈❗️
I'm a little confused by this series.
Boss/employee romances aren't my favorite kind of romance. Moreover, I didn't particularly hook up with the two main actors in their previous BL (Sorry for the fans who love this ship 🙈).
However, the trailer still makes you want to know more and some moments look quite comical. The fact that two actors that I really like play in the series still makes me want to see it.
I think I'll watch it when I have nothing else to watch
3. Find Yourself
The story is simple but I find in tune with the times.
Moreover the tone of the series looks quite comical. I think it's the kind of series to do with your sister or your best friend to have a good time without taking the lead.
I don't know the two actors but I think they look cute. In addition, the secondary couple of the drama also looks very cute.
In short, even though the story is quite simple I will watch this series because I know I will have a fun time.
4.Double Savage ❗️Violence❗️
So I admit that I didn't understand everything in the trailer so I can't judge the story too much.😄
However, we understand the general atmosphere and the tone given. If you are not comfortable with the violent side, this series is not for you.
Even if I think it's the trailer that says the least, I already know that I'm going to watch since the four main actors are four actors that I really like. Moreover seeing Ohm in a dark register like that is interesting because it is so far from what he is in real life.
I really can't wait to hear more about this story of brothers and I hope no one dies at the end.🤞
5.Hidden Agenda ❗️🏳️🌈❗️
The story is simple and i must say that i find it strange to ask someone's ex for advice on how to date this person but why not. 🤷♀️
The hero's friends look so funny. I like this group of friends in the dramas which are a bit silly but which we love so much because we have to recognize that they look like us.
I don't know the two main actors so I can't judge the chemistry between the two, but in any case the images promise some serious spikes between the two.
I probably wouldn't watch it when it came out, but why not later.
6. 23.5 ❗️🏳️🌈❗️
Milk and Love. Nothing else needs to be said. No I'm kidding (even if it's a little true). 🤭
Already very happy to see the first GL of GMMTV. The fact that the director is a woman is even better, I think.
In addition, I really like the chemistry between Milk and Love, so very happy that they are the ones who are carrying out this project.
The story just looks so cute! I feel that we are going to be entitled to great romantic moments. I can't wait to know more. Also, I really like the clean style that the drama seems to have. It's simple but effective.
The secondary couple seems to be super endearing too! I'm totally the guy who doesn't know how to flirt and throws paper balls to try to do it..🤣
In short, I would say that it is one of the series that I expect the most and that I will certainly watch as soon as it comes out.
7.Cooking Crush ❗️🏳️🌈❗️
So I have to admit that I don't like the poster of the series because I don't like green.🙈
As for the series itself, the story seems rather simple but the comic side makes you want to watch. It's the kind of no-nonsense series that you watch when you don't want to think.
The fact that it's about food is definitely a plus (yes I like to eat don't judge me).😉
I know a lot of people didn't particularly want to see an OffGun again, but personally I love them so much I don't mind. yes sometimes changing is good, but the values on it is cool too. I can't wait to see both in this kind of register in which I haven't seen them yet.
8.Wednesday Club ❗️Violence❗️
I'm not too sure what this series will give. I like the side a bit like Skins or Skam where we follow a group of friends who do friend stuff (a bit unusual according to the trailer but why not 🤭), but suddenly I wonder if that doesn't will not be repetitive as a scenario.
I don't know almost any actor except Ohm so it will be the opportunity to discover a lot of them and that's cool.
I don't know if I would watch the whole series if I don't hang on I'll give it a chance.
9.Last Twilight ❗️🏳️🌈 + Injury❗️
I feel that this series is going to make me cry like never before. 😭
Apparently it's not an adaptation of a novel but an original creation and I find that rather interesting.
Then the fact that P'Aof is the director of the project gives me confidence because I know that he makes quality series.
The story looks sad and cute at the same time so I can't wait to hear more.
Also very happy to see the JimmySea duo again, who are one of my favorite ships.😍 I know it's going to be romantic and frankly I love it even if sometimes it borders on too much.
One of the series I'm most looking forward to seeing when it comes out.
10. Loneliness Society ❗️Accident❗️
I absolutely did not expect that when the trailer started. 🤣
So very intrigued by this series. Afterwards I hope that the comic side will not be too heavy anyway because it can become tiresome.
The actors look pretty cool anyway. In short I did not think to look at the start but why not.
More in the next article !!😇
Do not hesitate to leave comments on the various series to give me your opinion or do not hesitate to ask questions if you ever have any.❤️

I am glad to see that you are on team office bl too! Frankly, there are never enough of them office bls. I have to ask - are you planning on watching bed friend? After LITA i didnt renew my iqiyi subscription but i just might for BF.
I am very happy we are getting some new ones this 2023 - middleman's love, wish me luck, a boss and a babe. I am thankful for each and every bl but theres just something about office BLs (its probably because im a corporate drone and i am living vicariously through bls).
Also, what office bls do you recommend? I have watched cherry magic, old fashion cupcake, we best love 2, roommates of poongduck (but havent finished yet).
After seeing that picture of First pulling Khaotung by the tie? Uh, yeah. I’m on Team Office BL for sure 🥵
I kept my iQIYI subscription after Between Us ended specifically for Bed Friend. The trailer did not intrigue me as much as I hoped it would, but I’m a sucker for both office romances and friends with benefits, so I’m hoping it’ll be good!
And yes!! I’m so excited we’re moving out of the high school/university sphere and into more mature offerings. I’m most excited for the Thai version of Cherry Magic so I hope they work out whatever licensing issues they’re having and actually give that to us. (The fact that we still don’t have a trailer is not promising.)
As far as recommendations, I don't have many that you haven't already seen. Definitely give Be Loved in House: I do a try! GAP is another good one, but it's a GL.
The other two I would recommend are Lovely Writer and HIStory 2: Right or Wrong. I wouldn't consider either of those "Office BLs" but they definitely occur in the workplace. Lovely Writer is a romance between a BL author and a BL actor and HIStory 2: Right or Wrong is a romance between a university professor and a university student. They're also two of my all-time favorite BLs, so if watch them, let me know what you think 💛

Survey ends with one last, 'final thought' box. I actually gave this one sincere effort.
I go to see very few movies in theatres each year, but I maintain a quota of the movies I'm certain will be good. The DnD movie was scheduled as a part of that quota, and this 'O' GL nonsense that y'all in wotc-hasbro management are trying to pull has changed that. I will be now be going to see Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey instead; you want everyone's money so much, and now you're not getting mine. Those DnD beyond subscription cancellation numbers lost you a lot of money and there's more revenue loss in the future that you're not even gonna be able to so easily quantify. How do you mark the number of people who, because of this greedy and corporatist move to monopolize a space which only exists because it does not belong to you, and you signed a document saying so, on a graph? You can't. But I'm there, and so are many other people. You hurt yourself and your reputation substancially with this and it's going to a long time before you'll ever be able to recover, and the first thing you can do is FUCKIN' KNOCK IT OFF. Also, I know the people making these terrible decisions at WotC-Hasbro for DnD are making the same terrible decisions for plaguing MtG, so I might as well take the time to meantion my MTG wishlist too while I have your attention: • Stop Printting so many the secret lairs. If you want to do cool asthetic cards, go back to the Expedition and Masterpieces model of putting cool pretty versions of the card in packs. • Stop Printing basic land secret lairs and selling them at $10+ a card. Free market research for you: The basic lands secret lair I would buy is a 330 lands, 60 in each type plus 30 wastes, for $50. That's a product I'd pay mony for. • All the universe beyond nonsense: Stop it. Just Stop. I know you can't take what's already in the pipeline out, but just, don't put anything else in the pipeline. Your so protective of you DnD product identity and your flushing mtg's product identity down the drain. • Reverse you decision on the death of silver border cards. Put unsets back in silver boarder and bring back the dirt jokes. Heck, make the jokes dirty: print a card that says "%*#@ the dragon." More people into magic the gathering will buy that than will be turned away by it. • Ask Mark rosewater very nicely to revalutate his opinion of the entire storm scale. A lot of the high end mechanics deserve their place on the storm scale, but some aren't bad mechanics: they just had a bad batch of initial cards, and deserve another look and another chance: design is an itterative process, so itterate. • Release fewer sets with a higher standard of quality paid to the sets's mechanics in the broader magic the gathering ecosystem. • Rerelease your older MTG sets (15+ years) wit updated rules text maybe some new art because I hate when reading the card doesn't actually explain the card. • Abolish the reserve list since its obvious you don't really care about legal liability seeings how you're trying to get out of a legally binding liscense worth millions of dollars, but won't "go back on an informal verbal promise" which you've already gone back on several times. • Liscense the entirity of the magic the gatherings comprehensive rules under the OGL 1.0a or similar document drafted with the same spirit and intent of the OGL 1.0a and not this bullshit y'all is trying to pull with 1.1, 1.2, 2.0, etc. I'd love to see homebrew magic the gathering sets become a thing the way homebrew dnd rule sets, campaings and so on have. That it. Knock it off and do better.
And that's the survey. All I have to do is click submit.
Taking the "O"GL 1.2 Survey.

Gay Drama Reviews
(mostly bl cuz there just isn’t that much gl)
I’ve been watching way too much recently so for my own benefit and amusement I want to keep track. So below the cut I’m gonna list the title with summaries and opinions and warning if they apply. I’ll try to keep spoilers limited but I don't promise to be completely spoiler free. This is not spoiler free. This is your only warning.
These reviews are my own extremely biased and rambling opinions. I don't claim to have any authority on what's good/bad. In fact I am a very bad authority on good and bad because my media analysis skills are non existent. I like something because I like it and I don’t because I don’t or it’s sad. So I would never judge someone for disagreeing. In fact they are probably right. Please don't hate me.
What I’ve watched:
Where Your Eyes Linger
Country: Korea
Where to watch: Viki
Runtime: 8 episodes, 12 mins each (~90mins)
Warnings: Homophobia, some violence
Summary: Taejoo is the heir to a wealthy family business. Kang Gook is Taejoo's childhood friend and body guard. In their final year of high school, they both start to realize their feelings for each other with tensions escalating when new girl Hye Mi starts to pursue Kang Gook.
Review: This was the first bl drama/movie I watched (that they actually end up together) and for that reason it has a special place in my heart. I really liked the way some scenes were filmed, as though we were kinda spying from across the room. It gave the moments more tenderness. It uses the boys sparring/practice wrestling to create the sexual tension and it works. My heart aches both for Taejoo trying to pursue Kang Gook and for Kang Gook trying to hide his feelings knowing they will cause problems. Over all its a sweet story, even if the kiss at the end leaves something to be desired.
Would I recommend: Yes!
Wish You
Country: Korea
Where to watch: Netflix
Runtime: 100 mins
Warnings: None
Summary: Sang is an intern at a music company. He has a crush on aspiring musician Insoo. Their relationship develops when Insoo is signed by the music company and Sang is assigned as his assistant (and live in) manager.
Review: This is the only one that's made me really cry. It has a happy ending but the first kiss. Ouch. It was really sold by the lead actor. The character has been crushing on this guy for a while and then they've been subtly flirting and in a sweet moment Sang kisses Insoo. You can see that Sang is so happy and in the moment but Insoo doesn't respond. And when Sang finally realizes that and pulls away you can see his heart is just crushed and he runs away. My God the tears I cried and I'm not that easy to make cry. They work it out eventually though. Unrelated to the show itself, I noticed that the actors and the characters have the same names? It struck me as odd. You'd think usually the actors would want to distance themselves from their characters especially in a bl series. But Insoo actually mentioned in an interview he is a lot like his character. Also... he's really hot.
Would I recommend: Yes! It's a good short sweet movie.
Tinted with You
Country: Korea
Where to watch: Viki
Runtime: 8 episodes, 12 mins each
Warnings: Very small amount of violence
Summary: Eunho is about to graduate high school when he sucked into a painted and transported to the past. There he meets an exiled prince, Heon, and his guard, Geum.
Review: I watched this entirely for Junhee (from A.C.E) and he didn't disappoint. Aside from me struggling to buy that this guy in his late twenties is a teenager, he was cute and funny and believable frazzled by the situation he was in as well as the handsome prince. This is a web drama and not that long though, so the falling in love portion of their romance felt very rushed. It was basically a few intense glances and a montage of them painting and at the end they kiss and are in love. They actually kiss a few time, or maybe its the same one played a few times? But it has to be among the most boring kisses, up there with Where Your Eyes Linger. Usually the falling in love part is the fun part for me but this was so boring. The second half of the show, were they are presented with a timer to create some actual conflict was a lot better. It felt like things were actually happening and gave the actors a chance to do something besides look pretty in hanboks.
Would I recommend: Not really. (I wish I could say yes. I love A.C.E and Jun! I hope after enlistment he gets better parts!)
Semantic Error
Country: Korea
Where to watch: Viki
Runtime: 8 episodes, 15 mins each
Warnings: None
Summary: During a presentation of a group project, Sangwoo announces that his team mates did no work. They get zeros and their graduation is put off a year. One of the teammates, Jaeyoung, decides to use his extra year to get back at Sangwoo. Lots of “errors” start popping up in Sangwoo’s carefully planned and logical world when the spontaneous and brash Jaeyoung starts following him around
Review: There are so many good things about this series! I love it! It already had points because it’s game developers/programmers in college. But the acting is so good. And the way the relationship develops is so natural. Sometimes Korean BL can feel a little rushed, but the pacing is this was perfect. Sangwoo’s panicking over his growing feelings for Jaeyoung is adorable. Jaeyoung is just the right amount of persistent. He’s respectful of Sangwoo’s boundaries while still trying to get him to admit his feelings. At one point Sangwoo asks Jaeyoung not to touch him. And so in a later scene, where normally the character would grab the lover interest's arm to pull them somewhere, Jaeyoung grabs his backpack. Mostly it’s a few small moments, but it feels so important to show. The first (real) kiss scene in this is the perfect example that consent is sexy.
Would I recommend: Absolutely
Blueming
Country: Korea
Where to watch: Iqiyi
Runtime: 11 episodes, 13 mins each
Warnings: None
Summary: Siwon is a handsome first year film student with a somewhat complicated family history. He meets Dawoon and they originally get off on the wrong foot. They eventually become close but conflict arises when Siwon wins the student film grant that Dawoon’s parents are the judges for.
Review: At first I struggled to relate to Siwon. The whole “it’s so difficult and so much pressure to be pretty” thing is... annoying to say the least. The show did a good job of selling it though, because by the end it was more understandable. Siwon also grows and matures which helps. For a korean bl Siwon and Dawoon have a well paced development. I also really appreciated how forward they both were. Siwon just asks why Dawoon likes him before Dawoon even confesses and Dawoon just answers without too much awkwardness or embarrassment. It’s like they are having a normal human conversation. They have their moments of miscommunication some of which are plot points, but they handle it well in the end. I really really really wish we got more of Siwon’s sister. She grew up with the same family situation Siwon did but handled it very differently but we don’t get much insight as to why or how that effected her. There’s a specific scene at the end that set my middle child syndrome off so badly. I wanted to hug her. (Even though there’s only her and Siwon.) She also attempts to romance one of Siwon’s female classmates. It doesn’t go anywhere by the end and it’s hinted the classmate ends up with someone else. But it is still cute.
Would I recommend: Yeah, definitely solid upper middle of the pack in quality without too much time investment.
Cherry Blossoms After Winter
Country: Korea
Where to watch: Viki
Runtime: 8 episodes, 15 mins each
Warnings: Adopted siblings who never fully accept each other as siblings. Define that as you will. Also a rather forceful attempted kiss that might be triggering for people sensitive to SA. Bullying (not between main couple)
Summary: When Haebom’s parents die when he is only seven, Taesung’s mother takes him in. Taesung and Haebom had previously been friends on the play ground but the new dynamic strains their relationship. After Haebom sees Taesung upset to have him as a brother, they mostly leave each other alone, until they end up in the same class for senior year of high school. Haebom has always quietly struggled with bullies but when Taesung sees it he puts a stop to it and starts spending more time with Haebom to protect him. That’s when Taesung’s feelings return and he can no longer hide them from Haebom.
Review: I have such mixed feelings about this one. I think it's because it walks a weird line between creepy/unhealthy/obssessive while still trying to be sweet? I can handle one or the other, but this inbetween feels weird. Really the whole premise of this one felt weird to me. It seems really odd that an eight year old would develop such strong and unchanging feelings. I might have been sold if they were 14 or maybe even 12 but at eight you barely know what romantic feelings are. Aside from that, if we just take Taesung's strong feelings at face value, it's easy to see why Haebom was resistant at first. It's good they address the potential confusion of pitty vs love. It is sweet to watch Haebom develop and give in to his own feelings though. Once they actually get together they are adorable. Though then the drama of Taesung's (and let's not forget Haebom's adopted) mom finding out starts. She is understandably uncomfortable with the relationship, partially out of concern about the long term prospective and also just some low key homophobia. Eventually it all works out along with a cute ending for Taeaung's friends. Yonghee was so supportive and cute, he deserved his happy ending too.
Would I recommend: I wanna say not really but that's only because it's not to my taste. It might be to someone elses.
Light On Me
Country: Korea
Where to watch: Viki
Runtime: 15 episodes, 25 mins each
Warnings: None
Summary: Taekyung has always been a loner but at the start of his first year of high school, a teacher convinces him to try making friends by joining student council. He quickly develops a relationship with Daon, the friendly and too nice President and his friend Namgoong. But because of a funny but unfortunate accident, Taekyung struggles to get along with the Vice President Shinwoo.
Review: This show reminded me a lot of My Love Mix Up, cute high school romance. The plot is different but it has a similar feel. The characters were all endearing, even the rival girl, kinda. She was jerk but for a high schooler you can kind of understand in the end. My favorite character by far was Shinwoo. They make him out to be a jerk at first but he really is the best/nicest/most considerate person in the show. He is so mature for his age with the way he handles the whole situation with Daon and Taekyung, in regards to both of them really. He just wants his friends to be happy. And it’s sweet to start to see him more clearly through Taekyung’s eyes as the show goes on. Taekyung also grew on me. In the beginning I felt like the teacher kinda, I felt bad for him but didn’t exactly like him. But he loosens up more and becomes more likable and its understandable why he falls for Daon. Daon I really just felt bad for the whole time. Like...he wants to be a good person but... I was happy to see his development at the end. Namgoong is a sweet heart and I love him and want to adopt him and feed him treats. Him and Yonghee from Cherry Blossoms After Winter make me want to start an “Underappreciated Friend” fan club, though... they are appreciated.
The Untamed
Country: China
Where to watch: Netflix
Runtime: 50 episodes, 44 mins each
Warnings: Blood, Violence, Character Death, period typical misogyny but also there's like 4 female characters with more than 3 lines and they all die so... (probably others it's been a while)
Summary: Wei Wuxian and Lan Wanji develop a close relationship, half friendship, half rivalry during their teen years but family drama and inter clan battles for power lead to Wei Wuxian's untimely death. When he is magically brought back Lan Wanji fights by his side despite the disapproval of his family in order to vanquish a great evil. (Or something like that. It's been a while.)
Review: I know everyone loves this show but it's not among my favorites. As mentioned in the warnings, the death of every major female character is extremely frustrating, especially Wen Qing. Her brother gets zombified but she killed off screen and barely mentioned again. Also, I'm not one for subtly. That's a me thing. I can objectively see the beauty in the intense glances and small touches. And I saw someone mention once that it builds a stronger base for their relationship when they can't be open about it. So yes, all of that, but damn I just wanna see some kisses. Literally half the show was me wondering to myself, "in the original would they kiss here?" Its biggest points were the campiness of the fight scenes and comedic moments. It gave me Xena/Hercules 90s vibes. So overall it was very long, very complex and very Chinese. I liked it but didn't love it the way other people did. Also... my favorite character was by far Xue Yang and he didn't get nearly enough screen time and story.
Would I recommend: To my uncultured self, meh. To others who can appreciate subtly in acting and story telling. Absolutely, 100%
Cherry Magic
Country: Japan
Where to watch: Crunchyroll
Runtime: 12 episodes, 23mins each
Warnings: None
Summary: When Adachi turns 30 and is still a virgin, he is given the magical power to read the minds of people he touches. This new power reveals that his perfect seeming coworker, Kurosawa, has a crush on him.
Review: One of the most wholesome and sweet series on this list. Adachi is so painfully shy and awkward but Kurosawa is so understanding and patient. Despite the audience and Adachi being aware of some of Kurosawa's steamier thoughts, he is only ever a gentleman. The side relationship of Tsuge and Minato is a little less wholesome perhaps but still super sweet. I really loved their story too. Also, bonus points for Fujisaki being aro (/ace?)
Would I recommend: If tooth rotting fluff is your thing, yes yes yes!!
My Love Mix Up
Country: Japan
Where to watch: Viki
Runtime: 10 episodes, 23mins each
Warnings: Homophobia
Summary: Aoki borrows an eraser from a friend, Hashimoto, for a test and realizes it has the name of her crush on it. After the test Aoki accidentally drops it and Ida picks it up. Ida also happens to be the name on the eraser. So Ida thinks Aoki has a crush on him. Except he doesn't... until he does, but there is still Hashimoto to worry about. And Ida still isn't even sure he returns Aoki's feelings.
Review: As hopefully the summary makes clear this is so very high school. Everything about the situation and the characters reactions and questioning their feeling is so very very high school. But it is also ridiculously cute!!! Usually I might be put off by high school drama type shows but this manages to make the confusion and indecision endearing. It's just so cute. I was so sucked in I wanted to hug every character when they were up set or pat them on the head when they did well or smack them playfully upside the head when they were dumb. Aoki is such a goof, and Ida is so serious and earnest. Hashimoto takes no shit and Aida tries so hard to be a good friend. They are a good group of kids.
Would I recommend: Yes!
My Beautiful Man
Country: Japan
Where to watch: Viki
Runtime: 6 episodes, 23 mins each
Warnings: Stalking
Summary: Hira is high school student so shy he can barely speak to people. Instead his hides behind a camera and keeps to himself. On the first day of school, Kiyoi accidentally saves Hira from having to do a public introduction. He is also the most beautiful person Hira has ever seen. Hira is so enamored with Kiyoi he wants to worship him like a god. Kiyoi can't help but be fascinated by Hira's devotion. But Hira's devotion blinds him to the possibility of an actual relationship.
Review: I probably gave away more in the summary than I should have. These two have a pretty unhealthy dynamic. Kiyoi regularly calls Hira a stalker or creepy... because he is. Even Hira knows it but can't help himself. Still though, not all fictional relationships have to be healthy. I have an appreciation for codependent relationships (in fiction) and these two definitely hit that. Hira has never been attracted to anyone else and can't imagine he ever will be. He is also very grateful for Kiyoi including him in his friend group in high school. And Kiyoi is drawn the the attention that Hira gives him. He has always wanted to be famous and have devoted fans, but Hira is already there professing his love and saying he'd die for him. Together they fulfill a very specific desire in the other and I find it fascinating. Episode 5 and part of 6 is told from Kiyoi's perspective and those were the episodes that it went from kinda fun to really interesting for me. It goes back a bit to give Kiyoi's perspective of things to show how he was captivated by Hira's devotion and otherwise creepy behavior.
Would I recommend: Not to the average person.
Gameboys
Country: the Philippines
Where to watch: Netflix
Runtime: 13 episodes (12 + 1 bonus), 30 mins each
Warnings: Minor character death, grief
Summary: Set during the height of lockdown. Cai is a small time gaming steamer. Gav is a fan. When Gav beats Cai in a game during a stream, the two start to get to know each other.
Review: THE BEST BL DRAMA OUT THERE I WILL NOT TAKE CRITICISM! WATCH IT!! WATCH IT NOW! NOTHING I CAN PUT HERE WILL DO IT JUSTICE! JUST WATCH IT!
Okay but seriously. These two are really cute. Gav is outgoing and vocal with his crush on Cai. Cai is easily flustered by Gav advances. It's adorable. And very respectful. Gav is actively careful not to make Cai uncomfortable with his flirting. The show has the healthiest relationships of any drama I have watched. (Yes, even Bad Buddy.) That's not to say everything is smooth sailing. They have their ups and downs but everyone communicates and their feelings are respected.
It's almost entirely filmed through zoom calls with interspersed chat logs and news headlines. The pandemic is an ever present shadow on their relationship but its done so well. Truly this is just a good show.
Would I recommend: Yes! To everyone. Not just bl people. I literally cannot articulate how good this is and how much I recommend it.
Pearl Next Door
Country: the Philippines
Where to watch: Youtube
Runtime: 8 episodes, 30 mins each
Warnings: Biphobia
Summary: A spinoff of Gameboys. Pearl develops feelings for Karleen, a friend she got closer to during lockdown. Karleen initially turns Pearl down, but when Alex, a friend from Pearls past show's up and declares her feelings for Pearl, Karleen's feelings start to change. Pearl is now caught between the two and struggles to decide who to give her heart to.
Review: Woo!!! GL!!! This show could be shit and I'd still be kind of excited. It's not though. It won't say it's as good as Gameboys but it's still good. It carefully navigates Karleen's past truama and her resulting biphobia. Pearl tries to be fair and honest with Karleen and Alex as well as herself but the drawn out deliberation starts to fray on everyone nerves, Eventually she makes the best decisions she can. The end it good, and realistic... but I also hated it. I wont lie, I was team Alex all the way. Karleen was instantly on my shit list with her biphobia and didn't do enough for me to forgive her. She tries, and she does apologize, but for me it was too little to late.
Would I recommend: Yes.
Lovely Writer
Country: Thailand
Where to watch: Youtube
Runtime: 12 episodes, 45 mins each
Warnings: Some homophobia
Summary: Gene is an aspiring writer who got his start writing bl novels. One of his novels is being turned into a TV series and the publisher wants him to be involved as a way to promote his next book. Shy, introverted Gene agrees, only because he wants the next bl novel to be his last so he can write what he wants. Drama ensues on the set of the drama when the lead, Sib, starts pursuing Gene. Sib's co-star Aoey would rather Sib fake date him to get more attention from the fans.
Review: Okay, this is the first one of these I'm writing right after watching which means I will probably have more to say. So, I really wanted to like this one but it kinda fell apart for me in the last episode and a half. The drama that comes up seems like it has a really obvious middle ground solution but the characters, Gene especially, goes with the more dramatic answer, that isn't even realistic based on my understanding. Now, normally in a /drama/ that wouldn't really bother me. But this show in the earlier episodes seemed like it was trying really hard to be realistic. In the first episode where they cast the series, the producer and director have what are probably realistic if awful conversations about the actors in terms of how gay/straight femme/butch they seem or are and if it's sellable as a ship outside of the drama. Later on when Gene and Sib announce their relationship to their family it becomes a big deal even though their parents are relatively open minded. It is very relatable to anyone who has parents that have the "It's fine for everyone else's kid but not mine" mentality. They eventually get over it and there are apologies all around. We might want everything to be simple but realistically it's not. Then before and after the characters have sex for the first time there is a discussion of pain and a general implication that it's not exactly simple. So all this as a set up for the show trying to be more realistic than the average bl drama only to fall into the same over the top climactic ending was a bit disappointing.
Side note, I really loved Tiffy, Aoey's manager, a bisexual woman with a bit of the classic "tough girl" attitude. She is pursued by Sib's manager, Tum, a straight guy everyone assumes is gay because he knows about make up and dresses nice. I really love how both characters comfortably say fuck you to traditional gender roles.
Would I recommend: Eh.
2gether/Still2gether
Country: Thailand
Where to watch: Youtube
Runtime: 18 (13 + 5) Episodes, 35 mins each
Warnings: Abusive relationship (not the main couple)
Summary: Tine is trying to shake the overzealous pursuits of Green. His friends concoct the perfect solution, get the campus heartthrob, Sarawat, to be a fake boyfriend. At first Sarawat is resistant and Tine has to convince him. But when they get closer, Sarawat reveals a secret.
Review: I feel like anyone even close to the bl sphere has at least seen these two. It's super popular and for good reason. It's really cute and Wat is good at making Tine and the audience (me at least) swoon once they get to that point. There's lots of cute and intense steamy moments to get the heart racing. It feels a little like a fanfic, in that everyone is gay. A lot of the friends and brothers end up hooking up and having their own cute moments. I wish this also applied to any of the female characters but it doesn't. Another small issue for me is the whole "I'm only gay for you" trope. It's implied that Tine had never felt any attraction to a man until Wat. And, if I remember correctly, Wat has only ever been attracted to Tine. It plays very much into the straight enough for straight girls to find hot without being too gay. I get it's a thing, but I don't like it.
My biggest issue with the show though is really Green and Dim's relationship. It's shown that Dim is physically and verbally abusive to Green (the most stereotypically gay character on the show) but they end up staying together. Their fighting is even a main part of the second series and the other characters encourage them to work it out and stay together. Instead of telling Dim to fuck off and encouraging Green to never speak to him again. It is a relatively small part of the show but for as much attention as the show gets I don't see a lot of people talking about their relationship.
Would I recommend: Yes. Assuming the warning isn't a trigger, it's practically a requirement in the bl world.
Tonhon Chonlatee
Country: Thailand
Where to watch: Youtube
Runtime:
Warnings: Attempted sexual assault, lots of homophobia
Summary: Chon has been pining after his childhood friend, Ton, for five years. When Ton breaks up with his long term girlfriend, he returns to his childhood home and reconnects with Chon. Chon ends up moving in with Ton and his two (gay) roommates. Conflict arises from Ton's homophobia and toxic masculinity.
Review: They were roommates! And there is only one bed! And Ton is incredibly homophobic along with being an oblivious idiot! So yeah, this drama is pretty cringey at times. There some scenes with prostitutes that are awkward as hell. Unless I misunderstood something, there's a scene where the roommates start trying to strip or have sex with the main character to get him to admit he is gay? And then there is the evil ex girlfriend who encourages her goony to try to force himself on Chon in the men's room. Those scenes aside, the whole show is about Chon's feelings for Ton and Ton coming to terms with his sexuality. If you ignore the undertone of homophobia, there are some cute and funny scenes of Chon trying to hide his feelings and sexuality from Ton. I did genuinely love Chon's mother though.
Would I recommend: Not really. (I only watched it because I love Khaotung, the actor who played Chon. He's absolutely adorable and I needed to see him get some smooches.)
Love with Benefits
Country: Thailand
Where to watch: Youtube
Runtime: 6 episodes, 45 mins each
Warnings:
Summary: First and Play have been cast to star in a bl drama. The problem is their chemistry is terrible. In order to try to fix it, they are assigned to live together and take acting classes together.
Review: I actually rewatched this one to see if I missed something the first time around because the characters go from hating each other to making out out of no where. On the rewatch, yes I could see they were starting to have feeling for each other but there was still a lot of antagonism between them. Maybe this is my ace showing, because I've never understood the whole hate sex concept. First is basically yelling in Play's face when he kisses him. Play is clearly conflicted at first and resists but then gives in. Which seems... weird at best. Not gonna lie though, I still thought it was kinda hot. That's really the biggest selling point of this show. The steamy scenes are.... very steamy, like almost softcore porn compared to most other shows I've watched. And even if their dynamic is slightly confusing, the characters grow on you. Play is adorable and pouty, it's easy to see why First enjoys riling him up. (I think the actor is also one of those people like Jimin from BTS or Taemin from Shinee that can kind of exude this sexual energy even when they aren't trying to.) I kinda of disliked First in the beginning. I think we are supposed to, but his haughty exterior melts eventually and he grew on me. He tries to be so cool and nonchalant but as soon as Pluto shows up he is ready to throw fists or wrap himself around Play and never let go. Aside from the main pair, there are a couple of transwomen side characters which is kinda cool to see. And the acting coach is pretty cool.
Would I recommend: If only for the steamy scenes, yes.
Tale of 1000 Stars

Summary: Tian is a spoiled rich boy with a heart condition who lives like he is going to die young. A twist of fate gives him a new heart and a second chance, along with a burden of guilt for the death of the woman who's heart now beats in his chest. To alleviate some of his guilt he tries to complete some of her unfinished business. This has him teaching in the remote northern region where he meets a forest ranger. Tian falls for the mans gruff kindness but there is a long journey before they get to their happy ending.
Review: Okay, I wanted to like this one. I really did. I don't know if it was because I kept getting interrupted while watching it but it just felt so awkwardly paced. It seems like they fall in love so fast in the beginning but then take forever to get to talking about their feelings. For large parts of this show I was more interested in the side characters and the non-romantic plot than I was about their relationship. Really I was rooting for Tian and Longtae to get together even though I knew it wasn't going to happen. They had a much better dynamic to me. I can be kind of shallow so I may not have gotten into this pair partially because I don't find Earth that attractive. But by the end of the show though I think I just decided I didn't like the chief as a character. He is so uptight and serious that it makes it no fun to watch. I know it's part of his character, they talk about it, but I'm sorry it just makes him boring. And the ending for this show felt really similar to Lovely Writer, in that there seemed like a reasonable middle ground solution it took them 2? 4? years to get to. I know this is a well loved show in the bl world and maybe there a lot of deeper meaning and little things I missed because I need to be hit over the head with something to get it, but it's just not my cup of tea
Would I recommend: I would not but with the disclaimer that I think a lot of people would disagree with my opinion of it.
Bad Buddy

Summary: Pat and Pran grew up next door to each other and were raised to be enemies and rivals. But they were never obedient children. In high school they end up performing in a band together and developing feelings. Pran is sent away before anything can come of it and they don't meet again till college. They go from two people who can't be friends to two people who can't be just friends.
Review: I have watched this show three times all the way through and favorite bits and pieces countless times. I am obsessed. It is SO GOOD! There is so much feeling in every expression that it is worth watching over and over again. The characters are so easy to love and to fall in love with their love. They have such a sweet and unique dynamic because of such a long history. The show is about them getting together in college but they've been in love with each other for much longer even if they don't admit it. I'm honestly getting overwhelmed trying to put down everything I love about this show. Pat and Pran finding their way to each other because their really was no other way. Soulmates Pa says. They are soulmates without the gimmick and their every look, every touch, every moment shows that. The writing in the show is amazing, to allow such a beautiful relationship. And the side pairing wlw pairing of Ink and Pa is so special they deserve their own show. But I can't praise this show without praising Ohm and Nanon. They are such phenomenal actors, the show would not have been the same with anyone else. In behind the scenes stuff they have talked about the characters and its so clear they put so much thought into every aspect of their performance. Pat especially was able to be more than just the bad boy comic relief because Ohm approached him with such thoughtfulness. And Nanon, man that kid's face... he can convey such complex emotions with just a look. So much of this show is said without words, and that is all on Ohm and Nanon. I really seriously love this show.
Would I recommend: Yes! YES!! YEEEESSSS!!!! Do yourself a favor and watch!
Dark Blue Kiss

Summary: Pete and Kao have been dating nearly three years. Pete wants to be open with their friends and family about their relationship but Kao isn’t ready. Tensions get higher when Kao starts tutoring Non, a high schooler with a crush on Kao. Kao isn’t interested but that doesn’t stop Pete from being jealous.
Sun owns a cafe that his brother works at. His brother’s friend Mork is always hanging around. Sun thinks Mork is nothing but trouble, but his feelings start to change when he takes Mork under his wing to keep him out of trouble.
Review: This show grew on me as I watched it. Though it did suffer a little of what I think I should start calling “second to last episode syndrome.” In the first couple episodes, Kao and Pete’s dynamic confused me. Kao was the classic kinda uptight, by the rules, prim and proper type. Where Pete had rich playboy vibes. How they were making a relationship work was beyond me but I think that was partly because the show is the bl spin off of another show. So as I sort of settled into their characters, I like them better. I liked Sun and Mork’s story better for most of the show though. Maybe it’s my love for the “bad boy with a heart of gold” trope, but I loved Mork. His flirting but not flirting and getting flustered with Sun was just adorable. I did get a little annoyed with him in the end. That’s where “second to last episode syndrome” kicked in. It felt like the last 2 or 3 episodes could have just been one, especially with Mork and Sun’s plot line. Overall it was cute though. Pete and Kao’s underwater kiss is iconic and Rain and Manow definitely win the award for cutest straight couple in a bl drama/
Would I recommend: Sure.
Not Me

Warnings: Violence
Summary: Black and White are twins with a special bond. They can feel each others pain. Their parents divorce and separate them for ten years but when White moves back to Thailand he finds out his brother was recently attacked an is in a coma. To find out who hurt his brother, White decides to go undercover as Black and investigate his group of friends that moonlight as anti capitalist vigilantes.
Review: I really liked this show. There were aspects that annoyed me, Gram/Eugene for one. They could have been completely left out and it would have improved the show because it would have made more room for other characters to shine more. Specifically a certain dynamic I can’t explain without massive spoilers but I think their relationship had a lot of potential to sort of fit better with the whole anti capitalist part of the show (it wouldn’t even have to be romantic/sexual). But it was really cool to watch a show where the romance/bl aspect was sort of second to the rest of the plot. It takes a while to find out who actually hurt Black because White gets a little caught up in his romance with Sean and the going’s on of the group. So you don’t find out till Black wakes up and reveals it himself. Really for me that’s when the show gets really good. The first half is getting to know the characters and their group and the second half has more action in it. Black kicking ass and taking names despite being like a foot and a half shorter than his opponents is awesome and also just... hot. Which brings me to the huge round of applause Gun deserves for his performance. The show does a decent job of show who is who through costuming but I almost wish they didn’t because they didn’t need too. Gun changed everything from his expression to the way he carried himself to make it clear who was who. It was so impressive. I’ve heard he isn’t doing any more bl which is a shame for us but I hope he gets a chance to play dynamic characters like this.
Would I recommend: Yes!
Enchante
Country: Thailand
Where to watch: Youtube
Runtime:
Warnings:
Summary: Theo moves back to Thailand from France after his grandmother dies. He reconnects with an old friend, Akk and they start taking college classes together. While waiting for Akk to finish a class, Theo writes a note in a book called “Enchante” When he goes to replace it the next day he notices someone wrote him back. Theo wants to find this mysterious Enchante. Akk tries to help him by putting up fliers asking Enchante to meet them in the library at a certain time. At the appointed time, four men show up claiming to be Enchante. Akk has to help Theo handle these suitors to determine the real Enchante while grappling with his own feeling for Theo.
Review: This was really cute. I love how supportive Akk is. In any other show he’d have been pouty and petty and jealous all the time but he really does just want Theo to be happy. He clearly wants Theo to just tell all four guys to buzz off because they only want to use Theo’s connections at the school to get what they want. And he’s right. Over the series you get to know each of the four would be suitors and they are all vary degrees of scumbag or just generic liar. Some of them may have genuine feelings for Theo at some point but none of their original intentions were anything but selfish. It’s fitting though because Theo seemed really selfish and spoiled to me. I’d hoped that he’d grow out of it to grow to deserve Akk but he didn’t really. It as usual had an ending that made me roll my eyes with being extra dramatic for no reason but it’s to be expected I suppose. The ending at least had the bonus of Jimmy who is possibly my second fav Thai actor for no valid reason other than I developed a crush on him while shipping Wai and Korn in bad buddy.
Would I recommend: Meh, I wouldn’t not recommend? It’s pretty generic bl though.

Will not watch:
Love by chance - bullying rumors? Also I saw a kiss scene, and just... no.
Why R U? - just Google "why r u actor"
Big Dragon - Unless this show has wildly miss represented itself in the trailer, this is a hard no. I’m okay with dark concepts when handled well but fanfic is different than actual shows. Love doesn’t start with attempted assault guys.

By the power vested in me by my RNG, I give you...
6x09: Free Hat (aka the reason I broke the second disc of Season 6)
This is hella long, sorry not sorry.
Some days I think season 6 is my favorite season.
Tweek standing behind the other three at the SP sign will never cease to make me happy. <3
I hate ET because I think he's a creepyass little alien and I don't appreciate seeing him first thing in this episode. 😂
Okay but I love when Kyle's saying, "...to make ET more PC," he's doing little air quotes with his one hand, like:
Stan: "That's gay." Back when saying things like that was only mildly offensive and wouldn't cause riots.
I've never seen Saving Private Ryan, and I know that it's said that it can be really triggering for people who have actually been to war and everything and I don't want to diminish that in any way, but whatever I paused on here looks like some kind of nether realm squid ghost monster and it's amazing.
I love the progression of their expressions here: angry, unimpressed, concerned, and "why is this happening?!"
And they're all so excited for Star Wars, that's the cutest fricking thing! I would love to see Tweek and Craig watching Star Wars together, just try and tell me that wouldn't be adorable!
ALL OF THEM ARE SO MAD! I fucking love when Tweek gets the little angry eyebrows.
I will never ever not want to hug him whenever I see Tweek shiver like crazy while the other kids just stand perfectly still.
The message in this episode is actually so good though. "Movies are art and art shouldn't be messed with!"
"Yeah we could form a club that takes food stamps from poor people and then we could sell them back to the government for a profit!" Tweek’s face here is priceless.
Poor Tweek. There's kind of a pattern in these episodes where multiple times he tries to stand up for himself or walk away from the main kids, but Cartman bullies him into staying and it just breaks my heart. As opposed to Craig in the Pandemics who's just like, "Fuck this." And as much as I adore all of the S6 Tweek episodes, I'm really glad he didn't stay hanging out with them for any longer and that he went back to the group of guys that are actually his friends. <3
"I'm not, I'm not a team player!" 😭 That being said, I could listen to Tweek talk all day.
"You have to offer fabulous prizes if you want people to show up to your stupid crap!" is just the S6 version of, "More people will come if they think we'll have punch and pie!" 😂
Stan: "Tweek, you go make fifty hats." Look, okay, I don't hate Stan, all right, but what the hell dude, go make your own hats! Why would you give the anxious kid a big responsibility like that!? At least have Kyle help him or something. Like you say you need to get the gymnasium ready which means what, make a banner and set up some chairs? And you're telling me you couldn't have split up the making of the hats? Jesus Christ.
(Yeah, okay, I know, chill out, they're 8.)
I posted this on my Tumblr before, so I'm not going to do it again, but that TINY LITTLE SHRIEK THAT TWEEK DOES after his dad says his name. I just. Literally. Die. Of cuteness. Every single time. It's my favorite Tweek shriek of the entire show, hands down.
On another note, his bedroom is so empty in this episode compared to in Tweek x Craig! I wonder what changed between here and then.
Tweek being able to calm himself down with some meditation is honestly so cute. And look at his happy place! I would love to have this on a shirt or a bag or just like as a piece of art hanging on my wall or something.
Cartman's giant face showing up there. 😂 I remember the first time I saw this episode that actually startled me so much.
"I was up, all night, making hats! I only slept for an hour- and then I DREAMT about making hats! But I only made fifteen!" - This has been one of my favorite lines since forever. I make it my status on things a lot and then everyone asks me why I was making hats all night. 😂
I love Stan's expression here.
"I don't have nearly 1000 hats!" "They're gonna kick your ass, Tweek!" 😡😡😡
Look at this shot! It really looks like Stan is the only one remotely concerned about Tweek's well-being here.
We get so much of Tweek yanking on his hair in this episode. </3
How am I less than five minutes into this and I have talked this much?
The townspeople are literally so stupid. Good job, Skeeter.
Stan makes good speeches when he wants to. Although, you know, you shouldn't make promises without fully knowing what you're doing.
Only Tweek would think going on a TV show is terrible news. (Just kidding. I agree with you, Tweek.)
I've never understood the "1-2-3, dibs!! "Knee!" thing. Like I know what dibs is, but where I come from knees were never involved.
Typical Cartman. I feel so bad for Tweek, but I love when he looks down to see "Advocate of Toddler Murder" underneath him. Cartoon logic is the best logic.
There's also a lot of good Tweek shrieks here too.
"It's easy!?" "Yes... It is easy."
"We believe that films have to be taken away from people like Steven Spielberg and George Lucas because they're insane." The way Kyle matter-of-factly delivers this line kills me every time.
They honestly made SS and GL look so creepy. 😂
I like that Cartman's voice kind of cracks when he's like, "That's Steven Spielberg and George Lucas!"
Someone just let Tweek go home, please!
"Uh, we thought we were speaking for the children." "Yeah, we're children."
"I'm not a Jew!" 😂 Thank you, George Lucas.
Okay, full disclosure, when I first saw this I hadn't seen Raiders of the Lost Ark and I didn't get the big deal. 😂 But I do now!!!
"He...killed 23 babies in self-defense?" "Hat was attacked maliciously and unprovoked by a gang of babies in West Town Park. When that many babies get together they can be like pirahna!" 😂 I say this all the time.
Skeeter. 😂 Honestly, you are no help at ALL.
Second time this episode Tweek tries to say no and walk away.
"People aren't that into you, Tweek. They find you kind of annoying." This is so meta because I remember people complaining all the time that Tweek was a one-note character and that he had nothing really to add to the show and I just want to say SUCK IT TO ALL THOSE PEOPLE BECAUSE LOOK HOW LOVED TWEEK IS NOW. Everyone who was on board the Tweek train from the very beginning say, "Cupcakes!" 😂<3
These kids, man. I love that it’s so easy for them to just get into all these places.
"Get it, Tweek!" "Huh-uh!" I love the way Tweek says no. But, I mean, AGAIN, he tries to say no and Cartman bullies him. I don't think he ever really wanted to be in their group in the first place. I think they picked him arbitrarily in Professor Chaos because they saw him as weaker than them, and then Cartman just didn't let him quit.
The little debate about melting his icy heart with a cool island song is also something I quote often. AND THEIR LITTLE OUTFITS! I love that Tweek's is green and pink! I don't know what the hell is going on with the sleeves on everyone else's though.
"Those rams can do to us what they will, Mr. Lucas." 😂
Oh, George Lucas. You were so close to being a hero.
Stan: "Fuck you Steven Spielberg!" I've watched this censored so many times that hearing it uncensored is so fricking satisfying.
RUN TWEEK RUN!!!
The walkie talkies are such a nice touch. 😂
"The one with the cocaine problem escaped, Mein Director."
Mannn, I miss when they used to throw live action "commercials" into the episodes like this. This also is from the time where I was like hella attracted to Trey Parker so seeing his face is always welcome. 😂
"We always meant to have Imperial Walkers and giant Dewback lizards in the background, but simply couldn’t afford it."
Oh my God, I'm always so proud of Tweek for talking to this huge crowd of people and trying to get them to help him! His little talking through his teeth, like, "We are not talking about Hat right now, okay?!" He's trying so hard!
"Oh God, I'm gonna have to do this myself! Oh, God!" just breaks my heart! YOU CAN DO IT, TWEEK! 13 seasons from now you'll have someone who helps you believe in yourself, just hang on!
Tweek with the bazooka, oh my gosh, always makes me so happy. I can't tell you how much I wanted him to just blow them all the fuck up the first time I saw this.
"All I want are my friends. Except for Cartman, you can keep him." YEAH, TWEEK!
I hate that Steven Asshole Spielberg manages to talk enough crap to make Tweek hesitate. He was so close! I wonder how he would have felt if he actually did it though, Maybe it's better he didn't? It might have made his anxiety worse if he actually blew people up now that I think about it.
"In the tropical isles with the coconut trees, the air is fresh and the people are free, but here in the mountains there's no freedom like that, there's a man in prison and his name is Hat!" This gets stuck in my head so often.
It makes it so much better having actually seen Raiders, especially for this part. I honestly thought the melting faces was just a South Park thing but nope.
I also really love what they look like turned away with their eyes closed too. <3
Like what even is going on in this scene. 😂
Oh my God, okay, and I know that Hat is a terrible person and I want to clarify just in case, I do not think killing babies is funny, but just the way that baby crawls up the person's arm to avoid getting passed to Hat is always so so funny to me and I can never explain why.
Tweek being the only one to be appropriately horrified by the fact that Hat is being given a baby.
"Sometimes the things we do don't matter right now. Sometimes they matter later. We have to care more about later sometimes, you know? I think that's what separates us from the Steven Spielbergs and George Lucases of the world." This is still so relevant.
The ending of this episode is also so much better after actually seeing Raiders. 😂
And we close off with a 9/11 joke. Perfection, Matt and Trey, thank you & goodnight.

Hormones anon here. Just finished season 3. Well, don't I got things to say. First of all I have a very vague recollection of a few scenes but I couldn't have known the series at the time so it must have been really famouse on tumblr. Anyway, I got a bit tired at the end with Oil's story, the 2nd hand embarrassment was off the roof. I kind of understood for a bit, but it just got unbearable. In the end, those characters Jane is best girl of the season, and I'm soft for Non. I trully loved +
Sun's story, but still don't know if I like his character bcs of James or bcs I had just finished Bad Geenius and he is basically the same character hahaha Koi and Dao was the most refreshing thing, and we really need that GL Thailand, we know you can do it ugh The struggle is so real. Pala and ZomZom were the second straight couple with rights, after Sprit and Phai, so good Pala's story, so important. In the end I didn't understand if Phu and Thee were together? Did you? +
( number 3 btw) So in resume, the new gen had some difficulties not were not equally explored, to a point of getting boring. Some really interesting characters got little to just one episode, and that was sad, like Jane and Sun. The plost wasn't as involving being a more school like drama and not as much life drama... I will cherish this series very much but I wish there was a cut for each story in the end. Relating to a chracter is everything in end, and I did.
(4th and last I promise) Do you know where I could listen to See Escape songs? I couldn't find anywhere. Thailand and music series is something I'll never get tired of. Their language is already very melodic so thai song are have a special place on my playlists hahaha Bye Ollie! Hope to not anoy you, this was long.
Hello again!! Yeah at the time it was airing, Hormones was a really popular show! And okay so... I agree with you about Oil - she got way over the top (which was definitely the point) and it was so cringey to watch. I got so attached to so many of the characters, Jane and Non were a couple of my faves too! It’s fun seeing how you enjoyed/didn’t enjoy the different characters! I think if I had to choose a favourite from season 3 it would be Pala and Zomzom, I really loved them and I was so worried for a while that she wouldn’t accept him. Koi and Dao!! My two favourite girls!! Their relationship was indeed just so refreshing and lovely to see... we seriously need so much more content like that in Thai media. Phu and Tee gave me stress. I feel like Phu just absolutely used Tee as a rebound when things didn’t go the way he wanted, it’s like he was just a backup and idk i was STRESSED lmao Tee deserves better he’s so lovely. Yeah it’d be nice if we got more content of some of the characters for sure, but overall I feel like the series did really well. And okay so!! See Scape! Most of their songs are available on YouTube (and you can find a bunch of them on Spotify too, I think) If you just search “See Scape Hormones” a bunch of them come up, I think most of their songs are just covers, though! Thank you so much for sending in your reaction to the series, it’s been so fun seeing what you think of it! And don’t worry you didn’t annoy me one bit - I loved it!!!
