do y’all ever think about how rhaenyra’s ‘ point of no return’ was seeking to destroy a young girl for the perceived sins of a grown man

#like and I say perceived because whether you do or don’t believe in the affair with nettles ( I personally don’t ) rhaenyra herself did and #and the mention of it led to her ordering nettles’ execution #and k do think she regretted it almost immediately and not only because #I not k #not only because it inevitably led to daemon’s death #she never wanted to be that sort of person she never wanted to be apart of the same system that broke her that did punish her for the #perceived wrongdoing of her father in naming her heir to the iron throne #I DON’T think she was motivated by jealousy I think she was motivated by fear of what two dragons abandoning her cause would mean for it #with aemond and daeron and Hugh and ulf still out there #at that point she doesn’t think she can trust Addam and aside from hers and joffrey’s #daemon and nettles’ dragons are the only ones she really has #I think the mention of them having a baby together rubbed salt in the wound 😭#and made it even more of an emotional response 😭#like and I say all of this to explain her actions never to excuse them because what she did to nettles was inexcusable #it’ll always be inexcusable like regardless of her reasoning she still did it
