Okay so. This has been a long standing stance of mine. OBVIOUSLY IT'S NOT HAPPENING. But nothing has ever made me as mad as jumbo wout. For the record I think he should've never been in a GC focused team and that he's good enough to get a dedicated team for every single race he chooses to target, be it 1 day races, one week races or even grand tours for stage wins / jerseys etc. Does he still get a lot of opportunities especially regarding the depth of the visma roster? Yes. Should he get more. Well Yes. These tdf stage wins are all nice and shit but I'm sure he would trade all of them for another monument win. likeeeee idk how you think you can adequately target your (classics) objectives when you're always peaking altitude camping to be a domestique at the tour or wtv. It's even worse that he actually complained about this shit (and this is why he was supposed to go to the giro this year. LOL about that anyways.) but yet he's signing a fucking forever till death do us par contract with them............... whatever. When i was losing my shit about it in 2023 I'm pretty sure I made a full list of WT teams and where he should and should not go. Atp I was all in for a Bora move before rogla moved but I still think that would've been viable. Soooooo maybe that. Also controversial opinion but I think quickstep would work well too :'/ good classics support. remco kinda keeps to his own shit and has beef with cobbled classics. just don't free landa.

sorry about my english and the fact i haven’t recited too well but the whole thing ur going on about has like unlocked this weird memory from from like ten years ago and im off work so this blog can get my strange story i just remembered hahaha

like 11/12 years ago i was very young and i wasn’t too involved in the fandom stuff but i had a blog and a twitter and would keep up with the stuff haha i do remember patrick would dm with fans a lot and stuff like and i remember seeing either teenagers talking about how they were suicidal and he’d practically talk them out of it, music stuff or like women around his age that he’d flirt with (maybe a bit older too? so i don’t think he’s a pedo or because he did have vulnerable access to thousands of kids and never really took advantage of that from what i know). people generally said he was just a nice guy though

anyways, thing i remember that i wonder if anyone else can remember is i remember this lady and they’d always meet up? like there’s like loads of photos of them and she’d always post on her tumblr about how she loved him and stuff about his penis and she’d post their dms sometimes and i remember one of them she was like texting him upside down and then the other one she was on a train and he was worried about her or something? i forget her name but there was like a few of them. they’d always be real flirty and stuff and i remember her posting in this group chat like pretending she was the fall out boy fan ceo like a whole message about how patrick was perfect and would never cheat on his girlfriend but there’s been rumors for years so this isn’t new at all. i wonder where that lady is now haha. i remember certain there was a lot of girls who were kind of like groupies soul punk era too but that was a bit before my time? and angie and stuff too but i never even looked into that she came a bit after the first lady

like i don’t think patrick evil (i hope not at least lol) or as bad as that poor woman’s making him to be but it’s a funny thing remembering he’s some horny man who just happens to be really sexy and talented musically especially up against the whole thing where people would kind of treat him like a baby too. like IT WAS WEIRD! funny though. and his wife (idk her name sorry) is genuinely stunning aswell that ungrateful bastard!

i think i might know who you’re talking about but i also might not because like you said there were like, a few of these women lol. one of my friends sent me kevin’s old twitter once which i was scrolling through out of curiosity and i ran into one of the more well known fans who was around and ‘close’ with patrick during sp/srar in his mentions and i was like, oh! okay! lol

also yes agree he is an ungrateful bastard. i suppose they could’ve had some kind of arrangement but unless confirmed otherwise i generally assume that is not the case in scenarios like these esp considering he was mostly finding hook ups thru twt which is like, absolutely deranged behavior. i also think he was so open with fans on twt as a whole was bc he was like, truly feeling himself for the first time in his life after he lost weight, his band was back together and successful, etc so the level at which he was interacting with fans in general was like, WAY too familiar. unless anyone else has a legitimate claim to this not being the case i do think the only nefarious stuff was the cheating, with like you said women his own age or who were older. i also don’t think he’s evil or anything yeah like he’s the definition of just some stupid guy

This is a blog created to keep track of my experience reading The Queen of the Damned, but I wanted to write about some of my thoughts on the first two books of the Vampire Chronicles. So here's some stuff I wanna share about Interview With The Vampire!!

Interview With The Vampire (1976)

I just know if I had read this book in high school I would have been so annoying lol.

The show is definitely my favorite version of IWTV, especially when it comes to Louis' character. Book Louis is hard to sympathize with, him being a slaveowner and all. I was aware of that before going in, but it was hard to read how matter-of-factly Louis talks about running a plantation, even in the present day. For all of Louis' philosophizing about the evil of drinking human blood as a vampire, he has nothing to say of the evil he committed as a mortal man. So glad the show changed that! And not only that, they made Louis a Black, gay man and added so, so much depth to his character and his story without taking away any of what makes Louis Louis. Anyway, I was expecting to not like book Louis as much because I was aware of all that going in.

What I was not prepared for, however, was the exact nature of the relationship between Louis and Claudia in the later half of the book. How did no one warn me about the incest hello?? Again, love that the show changed it to Claudia being more of a sister to both Louis and Lestat as she matures because, sure, Claudia is a grown woman in age/mind but she is and will unfortunately always be 5 years old in body and Louis that is your daughter.

Other than all that (which is a lot), I liked it. I was worried I wouldn't because of how much I already knew of the plot (from the show, the movie, and lurking on twitter lol), but I was hooked! The writing is gorgeous and evocative (loved seeing all the lines they included in the show). The scene where Louis and Claudia find a revenant? I was shaking! So scary.

Loved the Paris scenes with the Théâtre des Vampires. Loved the scene where Claudia's begging for Louis to turn Madeleine.

"Your evil is that you cannot be evil, and I must suffer for it."

Fire. She says it in the movie, and I'm sure they'll put it in the show too!

Armand is everything.

"I want you. I want you more than anything in the world."

??? I'm in love. And so is Louis!

"Who else, knowing us as we know each other, could do anything but destroy us? Yet we can love each other."

I just know they're going to use that line in season 2. Which brings me back to the show. I adore the show, obviously, but after reading the book I appreciate it even more for how it chose to adapt it, what it chose to keep vs change/leave out.

Some other things I liked:

Lestat not being able to kill his own father. Very human of him, loved reading that whole bit.

Any time Louis talks about Armand. I liked this line especially:

"Knowledge would never be withheld by Armand, I knew it. It would pass through him as through a pane of glass so that I might bask in it and absorb it and grow."

So warm. Makes me even more excited to see their relationship in season 2.

That's all I can think of. I wish I had documented my thoughts as I was reading the book, but oh well. (Also RIP Claudia, light of my life, I am not ready to see her go).

I will post about what I thought of The Vampire Lestat next, and then get into posting about The Queen of the Damned!

i def had to think about zantetsu for a second but him having an absolute idiot of an abomasnow just fits him so so well lowkey the aesthetics are matched too?? imagine he can mega evolve it eventually HAHAHAH you just see dumbass zantetsu with this enormous mega abomasnow and you’re like wait am i cooked?? but then one fire type move and it’s out for the count 😭 pls it’s especially funny because reo actually doesn’t have any fire types so he has to actively work to beat abomasnow meanwhile arcanine BREATHES and it’s gone 😩 zantetsu lucky fr that nagi doesn’t gaf abt battling him…wait lowkey yk what would be fun is just a mini arc of like ovas/spinoff chapters?? showing what characters other than reader are up to…maybe one focuses on manshine trio and the reo vs zantetsu rivalry, another shows a day in the life of isagi and gives a bit more characterization to the other elite four candidates (kunigami kaiser bachira) as well as the elite four themselves, another is like aiku’s field journal of him getting bullied by pokémon, another is yukimiya’s contest training, another is hiori like settling a dispute amongst some safari zone pokémon (or even amongst his team to show the dynamics we talked abt earlier), and maybe even a tabieita one to show what they’re up to when the girls aren’t around 🤔

oaeu aiku is lowkey so entertaining to write though i can’t even lie he has some HILARIOUS lines i just started the barou version and there’s sm lorenzo slander i’m crying…people can’t even get mad because they’re not MY thoughts they’re aiku’s!!! that’s why i was able to get away w sae slander hehehe 🤫🤫🤫 anyways we finally had the dream team of aryu sendou niko and aiku show up as well as the aiku + niko duo getting some screen time so it’s been fun 🤩

YAYYYY I LOVED THE GRAPHICS the grey matching nagi’s character color…houndoom being the only splash of color and really standing out…the super neat font (serving barou realness tbh) idk i just really like it it’s def not the same vibe as the oaeu one for example but that one def gives “this is a silly cute crack fic” whereas this one you can tell you’ll need to lock in a bit to read if that makes sense

ALSO DID YOU SEE THE NEW TRAILER it’s looking like we’re getting s1 animation again but honestly it’s whatever s1 was liveable plus they always do my man nagi (mostly) right so i’m chilling…they made otoya’s face and chin SUPER pointy in that one screencap i reblogged but otherwise idm it too much!! KARASU LOOKS SO CUTE I’M SO GLAD HE’S FINALLY GOTTEN SCENES i really like his hair actually it looks sm softer and fluid in the anime style vs the manga!! at the end of the day at least we didn’t get yona of the dawn-ed like maybe the anime isn’t perfect but at least it exists ykwim?? although given how well the manga sells i’m surprised they don’t put more effort into the anime…anyways 🤷🏻‍♀️

FINE! I will have fun and participate in the sleepover weekend festivities 😳

just for some context: my experience with fandoms pre-st were... fine? i never really made strong connections with anyone in them or interacted with mutuals as much. i was always kinda lurking in the shadows and reading fic and rbing fandom posts but never really participating like i am now. this is definitely the most fun and most comfortable i have ever felt in a fandom space <3

One Direction (2013 - 2017 (some may argue it never leaves you)) - oh. my boys. it was the best of times, it was the worst of times. i lied, i totally still have a friend/mutual that i still keep in touch with from these days that my sister met on twitter in 2013. ANYWAY not much to say other than the brainrot was semi-cured by the breakup but i will be a louis girl till the day i die.

The 100 (late 2014 - late 2017) - LOVED the fics. GREAT fics that came from this fandom. left/fell off when the show just became unwatchable TO ME. no hate to anyone who stayed longer, it just crossed my Bullshit Threshold (which is pretty low considerign i am a st fan LOL). Also Minty was MY ship for the longest time and will ALWAYS be bitter that they made Miller gay and Minty NOT canon *throwing tomatoes throwing tomatoes*.

Star Wars (little kid sen - old lady sen) - THIS ONE. This is my ride or die. I will love star wars until i am in the ground. BUT i was sent death threats on twitter in 2017 for defending tlj and after that pulled back from participating in fandom as much. still read fics and cheered ppl on from the sidelines on here. *blows a kiss to the sky for poe dameron*

Revolution (2012 - 2014) - ANOTHER 2 season NBC show that was cancelled before it should have been!!! i was a freshman in high school when i found this fandom, the show was airing on tv at the time, and it was the fandom that i think introduced me to the Basics of Fan Spaces which is really special to me. i also remember reading fic on ff.net for this show which is awesome lolol.

EEP so i got really into watching dream in like early 2021 because i was super curious about the dsmpers cause like. everyone i knew would bash them and dream and idk i just wanted to know what was so bad about them so i watched a tubbo video and i really liked it . i likes it a lot. that somehow led to me watching dream because i was curious what he sounded like and then like instantaneously i fell in love with his content especially his manhunts i was like. starry eyes enamored i would curl up in my bed all day watching manhunt on my phone laughing and gasping and just so overwhelming into it i just couldnt look away. like i was obsessed because dream was doing so many things i had never seen before in minecraft, like the fuck is a boat clutch ? ! ? ! i was just in absolute awe and from there i was just so excited about this new interest of mine i started watching other creators that had videos with dream, looking at twitter fan accounts. i made my own fanart but didnt post for a while because my friends all disliked dream so i didnt want to get bashed for my newfound love of him LOL. okay i am rambling but yeah eventually gave in and made a twitter, later made this tumblr because ive always preferred tumblr to twitter and i lurked on my friends blogs a lot here anyways :, ) YEAH ! ! dteam to the MOON ! ! !

The coffee that sinks inside your stomach brings out a grimace and a click of your tongue where the taste stains; too bitter, too acidic but you’ll drink it anyway and to the last drop; there is something about the idea of spending time with three best friends that is so made of spring and honey that you wish to miss none of it.

“Someone is lurking,” George contemplates out loud, and the call goes silent for a second as if to look for the intruder. And it would so easy to flinch, to hit the back pedal, because you almost feel like one being exposed front stage like that. But today- today is not that day.

It's not that you don't want to join the discussion, it's that it takes a second to warm up, to absorb the energy and become one with it.

And sometimes, all it takes is Sapnap to exclaim, “Panini head, my beloved!” for your smile synchronizes with his chuckles. Somehow, once noticed by the right person, life flows back naturally.

George and Dream greets you in trailing unison, like two kids forced to greet their unwelcomed aunt on a sunday afternoon.

“H-hey troublemakers,” you finally say. Your voice is still quiet, not reluctant, but rather uncertain. It doesn't bother anyone.

“I’m beating Dream’s ass at chess and he’s bitter,” Sap explains, and you silently nod, as if they were able to see you.

A long silence follows along, rythmed by clicks of mouses and keyboards and it falls in your ears like high droplets. It's comfortable. It's intimate, shared with friends only.

"We haven't heard from you in a while," Dream says. "I mean ... before the clout fiasco."

You wouldn't exactly call it a fiasco, even though you don't really like the idea of being perceived a little too closely from the eyes of twitter.com, but you do agree anyway, "I've been caught up on college essays lately."

"That sucks," George probably adds.

“Good thing you’re here, then,” Dream notes, simple as a breath. “This is a worry-free zone.”

It hovers for a second, carried by George’s approval hum.

You squint suspiciously, detective mode, at the profile pictures that light on and off before your eyes, “Thanks, dream.”

He scoffs a “sure” and you’re not sure why you sense a bit of irony stuck on the back of his teeth. You're so tempted to call him out, but you don't. Instead, you write a mental note of this odd moment.

“It’s because I told him about your three brothers and now he’s scared they’re gonna find him and kick his ass,” Sap explains as if he just read your mind.

Sometimes, there’s this thing in the air, though you’re miles away. Something like a connection. There’s this thing when you don’t need to talk for Sap to understand. Sharing one brain cell, you dismiss ironically. Probably coincidences and predictability, but it always sounds a little special, a little like something you’d wish to be out of this world, like morning dew and fairy circles. And it makes you feel safe, at home, just like snuggling up in the sheets during a stormy night. Your smile washes up the sleeve of your hoodie, covered palm carefully hiding your chuckles.

“Three older brothers,” George muses, and there’s no telling if it’s something meant for you to hear. “That’s kinda scary.”

“You better be scared, one of them is probably your FBI agent,” you tease mindlessly, though there's nothing scary about those three grown men.

“I’m British, Bunny,” he points out. Whether the exasperation in his tone is fake or genuine, that, you can’t tell, but you play it cool, grin carved so deep it almost hurts. Dream’s wheezes rise and fall in the background.

“Say that to his face then,” you outbid smirkingly after a second of silence, heels growing into the carpet to make your chair spin slowly left and right, so breezily.

“I’d praise you for the rest of my life if you-Oooooooh your ass is wacked. Your ass is so wacked, dude. You fucked up so bad,” Sapnap chokes out between strings of giggles.

“Oh no, my streamer is losing his game?” You theatrically pout. “My streamer Dreamwastaken, have you met him? Guess you don’t need any of my brothers to kick your ass.”

“Okay yeah- no- it’s not my fault if your- they’re distracting me, okay?” Dream defends.

Slowly, the energy lowers again and the call remembers peace as Dream admits defeat.

“I’m not playing against you anymore,” he mumbles through greeted teeth, your hoodie shelters a muffled giggle. “Let’s talk about y/n’s twitter fame instead.”

“Let’s just not-” you mutter, both because seeing Dream lose at something is a miracle that has to be witnessed once and because you’re somewhat reluctant. “Let’s just not talk about that.”

“Yeah, sorry about that. I had no idea it would draw this much attention to you,” Sap admits.

“Well, you talk about her all the time it was only a matter of time before twitter finds out,” George taunts and you secretly smile, listening to the way your best friend tries to defend himself, mind flooded with the last memories you have of when you were able to see those chuckles for real.

“Yeah, Quackity already told me you guys talk behind my back,” you fakely muse. “That’s totally fine, I don’t wanna know what you guys are talking about at all.” It’s a lie, obviously, the idea creeps upon your mind with assumptions you can’t quite get a grip of nor let go.

“You and Quackity talk?’ Sapnap asks, hint of surprise, and you hum.

“Or rather, he talks to me. He keeps calling-.” Shit. The forsaken word traps itself into your mouth. It’s too silly anyway.

“Come on, just say it,” Dream pushes as if he knew too much, more than you even do, and your cheeks flush mindlessly. You don’t notice.

“Dream, quit it!” You demand.

“Quit what?”

“You talk as if you knew more than anyone did.”

“Maybe I just do,” he coos, so dream-like.

Oblivious or careless, Sapnap asks, “Is Quackity bothering you or something?”

“He-" you begin but stop to look for the right way to put it, "He triggers my flight or fight response.”

"I mean, duh," Sapnap probably rolls his eyes.

"But I like him. He's funny."

After a second of silence, George says, “Well that was unexpected.”

“Not so much, I think we’re both chaotic neutral people.”

“What is that neutral chaotic thing anyway?” Dream is confused.

Roll up your sleeve girl boss because now is your time to shine! You offer your best dream smp alignment chart to the classroom. They're speechless, but they listen carefully.

"Then you're more chaotic good than neutral. You're too sweet anyway," Sap says.

"I'd even say lawful good," George debates.

"That's because you haven't seen Bunny during her crazy cat hour."

"True," you note.

"She'll go absolutely batshit."

“What?" George burst between confusion and surprise. "We've never seen you like that."

"A lady never reveal her secrets," you retort. No one answer.

It leaves a second for your mind to enjoy peace. For your eyes to lay on c!tubbo on lawful good and think true, then on c!dream on chaotic evil and think also very true. You huff and it's like a wave; as sarcasm leaves your breath, an idea comes in.

"Sap, check your DMs," you request.

Surrounded by the evening lull, Sapnap’s laugh pops like soap bubbles, "God, you’re so stupid. Why can't you just marry me?"

“So, is it Sapnap approved?” You chuckle lightly to prevent Sapnap’s morning fresh laugh to fill your chest and leak everywhere.

“Just press ‘send tweet’ please,” he confirms with leftovers of a smile in his voice.

"George, get me out of here. They're doing it again," Dream whines.

"Doing what?" He asks, unbothered.

"Act like they're alone in the convo. Just get a room." And you don't get to stand up for yourself that you and your best friend are actually sent to another room.

"Well this one is chaotic evil confirmed," you mumble as you roll your eyes but the vibes are much peaceful, much more comfortable in here. "So ... hi."

"Hi," he chuckles in return.

Maybe that's for the best; a moment that needs to stay a little timeless, secretive and special. It hasn't happened in so long, you don't even remember the last time it did.

"I'm glad you're here. I miss you, you know?" He says, and it's hard to not feel so bittersweet about it. It's hard when longing involves a craved touch, a real smile and an eye contact. Your shoulder sinks in the chair a little harder.

"I miss you too. I'll be here soon," you promise. And soon couldn't come any sooner.

But the conversation, soft and free, will wash up any worries, as always, and you'll end up talking about everything and nothing, about streams and planned videos and college and god knows what. As long as it makes the two of you happy and smiling. Just like the old days, you'll both think and it's fair to say until the evening turns into night and night turns into fatigue.

"Are you sure you're okay about that clout?" He asks once again. "I know you don't like being exposed like that."

"Yeah, yeah don't worry too much about it. I'll try to make good use of it."

"I'm sure you will," he murmurs, but oh boy did he not know what was about to come until you two meet.

i feel kinda bad for shl cos all the fans of hyx and spl are blaming shl since their dramas are being delayed :(

LMAO I really don’t get that altho i can see that the timing might be a little back to back, and i’m not a SHL-only stan by any measure but:

For HYX especially,

Firstly it was already having problems since the end of last year with censorship and review. This is mostly due to the reason that 2ha is a pretty big fandom and is the cult fave in the danmei industry - what this means is that there are three types of fans basically right, (1) Normal fans who love the novel + show (2) Those who fanatically love the novel in some extreme ways haha (3) Those who hate it and/or are HYX-onlys - so you get it all in a bag. 

The first type of fans is definitely the easier ones to deal with, but unfortunately in big fandoms you get a lot of (2) and (3). It’s not something that’s exclusive only to 2ha/HYX but because it’s a cult fave, and a controversial one at that, problems definitely arise.

(2) are the ones who head down to the filming scenes, take photos and footage despite crew telling ppl not to do it, not to sneak around filming sites and definitely not to leak photos or footage. They do it anyway. Yeah sure of course it’s a couple of photos every few weeks or a tiny video every few weeks but word gets out. They’re inevitably hurting the show and the fandom with their actions, because shit trends on Weibo really fast, and the censorship committee (not just for the film industry or shows) is always lurking on the site to catch any sign of you know, hate speech for the country etc. and more. Not related, but the point is that social media is watched very closely. It’s not a myth or an exaggeration, you really just got to be careful, and HYX is a show that, despite not having been broadcasted, has consistently trended on Weibo over the last few months. Not always because of leaks, but yeah, HYX is in everyone’s faces. Fans themselves put a fucking huge spotlight on the show BEFORE we even have any content at all, and of course this isn’t enough to like create huge trouble for the show but then we have-

(3), which I believe creates the most trouble - the thing is 2ha and meatbun who wrote the book, has a long line of haters and antis, way before HYX came into the picture. I shall not go into details of how I’ve seen some big accounts on Tumblr here spit vitriol at the book without even reading it just based on the content/trigger warnings and playing the morality card (and I think most ppl who’ve followed me for a while know just what I think about that). Like this was way before any footage or leaks or even HYX being a thing came about - as a cult fave it has its share of haters, and this share is a huge. There are those who get off on their moral high grounds XD and I think especially these ones are the most troublesome, all they have to do is report that HYX is immoral, bad for culture etc. etc. hahaha and yeah the censorship team is always ready to step in on reports, especially on BL stuff.

And of course the larger part is the change in censorship processes - honestly even way before SHL came out in end Feb, HYX was no closer to getting passed by the review committee than it is now. Maybe yes, SHL scenes may be now used as reference for comparison but seriously? People are deluding themselves if they thought pre-SHL HYX was going through the review process smoothly and only hit roadblocks after. I mean, we’ve all seen the leaks, some of them are truly like god-tier scenes that may be hard to explain away. It’s not like they can repackage the script especially because they have to submit everything to the review committee.

I mentioned this in a post yesterday but how SHL passed reviews is due to the fact that they didn’t have to submit a full script. They only had to submit a partial script, and that makes a world of difference. Basically a team, under these requirements, can repackage the script to include the more het looking parts even I feel, and of course some heavy misdirection by the team, it could work. Now that you have to put an entire script up for scrutiny.. I mean, it’s hard. This is just a game of probability.

And the last reason I think is still Tencent. Honestly, I’ve never seen a huge ass MNC like this handle a show this terribly.

1. No control over leaks - This is honestly the dumbest shit to do

2. Terrible crisis management response time - When fans leak footage, it’s standard and practical business sense to control it IMMEDIATELY. They shouldn’t just leave it up to the crew to put up notices and as the company that owns the rights to the show, it’s up to them to possibly threaten legal action as well. Basically a sterner stance would have helped a lot, but Tencent is a motherfucker of a company who only cares about free marketing and publicity without any considerations over impact to the show itself 

3. Terrible at communicating with fans - Seriously, I’ve never seen a company or team that’s been this bad at confirming delays etc. and providing updates about a show. I understand that it’s mostly due to them not wanting to affect the review process or create more chaos within the fandom but lmao Tencent allowed the hype to build so much and then goes absolutely silent at crazy rumours. I mean we had to find out about a delay from Cai Bao, their cat mascot, like??? In a really veiled and poetic message that didn’t outright say the word ‘delay’ like damn these ppl have a lot of time

As for SPL,

Lol we don’t know anything about this show. We don’t know if they took out or left in the Yifu part that would supposedly make it less gay or whatever, we don’t know anything about how gay it should have been or could have, so this one might be a tad more ridiculous. I mean none of us have seen any good leaks, and we haven’t seen any of the script, we got ZERO idea about this. Maybe they really went hard on the bromance, how would any of us know hahaha so all the more it’s like people have zero basis to go on, to say that it’s because of SHL. Seriously, everyone’s shooting in the dark.

Technically if laws didn’t change last Feb, I think SPL/WIK should have been passed in the same way as SHL did, but it’s just inopportune time for them.

- So tl:dr HYX already had tons of problems, that I doubt were going to go away just because SHL didn’t air, honestly. For SPL, it’s really hard to tell what failed the review, because none of us know what’s going on in the script.

No one cared about SHL, even I only realized the show was airing on the day itself and then made a rec post after I watched the first 4 eps. And if it truly was anything to do with SHL, I’m telling you that the first thing the censorship committee will do is basically shut SHL down, get Youku to take it off sites etc. until it’s reviewed again etc. etc. That hasn’t happened yet, at least not before HYX and SPL were stalled.

ALSO!! Don’t have to feel sorry for SHl fans hahaha I’m telling ya a lot of us definitely weren’t OG SHL or TYK fans, seriously! All the bigger accounts I see on Twitter are a combination of CQL/SHL or MXTX/SHL, SPL/SHL and I am personally 2HA/HYX/SHL. The fight is all out on Twitter HAHAHAHA but it’s not that bad, we’ve all got practice. Seriously WHO ACTUALLY is an SHL only stan I’ve honestly not seen much?! HAHAHA the point is we’re all yelling on behalf of SHL as a cross fandom fan, easier for us to do so as well. We’re talking about 2ha/HYX/SPL/Priest dedicated accounts that delved deep into SHL championing for no-nonsense in the space hahaha

but omg the best time it ever happened was a year ago when i found out that not only had a 15yo fic of mine been translated (and credited!), it had also been converted into a beautiful pdf!!! complete with cover art and border art!!!! wasn't even aware it was done bc whoever did it had only done it within the last few years i think, but it was such a wild experience to find it i have the pdf saved on my laptop lol

12. have you ever co-written a fic before? i have not! i don't think i've ever had a dedicated beta either, which probably explains a lot lol

also ppl tell me i'm really good at banter, characterizations, and immersing them in the story, which is wonderful bc i do work really hard on that!

16. what are your writing weaknesses? finding the right words. in general, it's so extremely hard for me in that i don't have much of a mental dictionary/thesaurus i guess. it can be upsetting at times, especially when i know there's a better word or way to phrase the line but just have to let it go. i am simply not one of those people who can come up with big words (or words that are like. normal ones to use when describing smth lol)

17. what are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages on a fic? it can be a good touch to the fic! i don't have very strong feelings on it, i suppose

18. what was the first fandom you ever wrote for? atla, tho harry potter is the one that actually survived the period of fic deletion i once went through on ff.net lol

19. what is your favorite fic ever written? everyone is going to know the answer to this one, but hmlyd hands down my actual baby <333 after a 4yr long break from writing, i knocked out 3 fics but it was hmlyd that really got me excited! writing it was a BLAST, my entire heart went into it, and it's one of my fics that i actually do genuinely go back and read frequently bc it makes me so happy lmao

tbh if i hadn't written hmlyd, i probably would've stopped writing for the fandom after hands, knees, please, tangerine and gone back to lurking lmao

Hiii, welcome to tumblr!! I’ve been on here with different accounts for several years and I still haven’t quite gotten the hang of it, so don’t feel bad for being confused 😂 I suppose first you should decide how you want to use your account, if you want fandom content to scroll through on your timeline then I suggest first following tags such as Severitus, Irondad, whatever you’re into. There’s a lot of variations of tags too, like Harry Potter, HP, HP fanart, HP fanfic, etc. Then from there you might find some accounts to follow for more content. I mostly follow authors I like from Ao3, artists and people who share gifs and things like that. If you just want to use your account casually as an author though, then all you have to do is what you’re doing now with the asks! Though it can be fun to reblog author ask games when they come across your timeline (I’m not even sure if it’s actually called a timeline? I’m a child of Twitter man lol) but also you could post updates to your story, new chapters posted, how things are coming along, etc. there are several ways to post a link to your story, you could use the share button on Ao3 where you have an option for tumblr and it will format a sort of link thing with a ton of story information on its own, or your could just post the link and call it a day, or you could add a chapter summary on your own- whatever floats your boat! It’s good to use tags too for people to find your posts, and I personally put my own username as a tag so I can find it later or should someone else want to, because things can certainly get lost in the tumblr void. Anyway, you didn’t ask for any of that yet here I am putting it in your ask which makes… zero sense, but, I hope it might help a bit and that you enjoy it here!!

Could I be curious for a hot second? I swear I saw in a post you did the other day that you haven’t read ACD canon? This is absolutely not a judgement ask or anything but I’m always curious to find out how/why people resist reading the original works of modern adaptations. Is it just not your cup of tea or did you watch Sherlock for the actors? etc. I’m one of those who when they love something, it quickly becomes an obsession and have to read every book, article, Twitter post there is about the thing before I’m satisfied..

Believe it or not, I didn’t really know much about Ben until I saw Sherlock; my first recollection of seeing his face was as Khan in Into Darkness, and I loved that movie (I know I’m among a small few who do love ST:ID; I KNOW the problems with it, I just REALLY like everyone’s acting in it), and I knew of Martin, actually, which is why I agreed to watch the show. So yeah, I went to visit my friends one weekend, and on the Sunday night before I left (it was a holiday weekend, so I always leave on the Monday), we pulled up Netflix and put it on. I WAS FASCINATED. I LOVED IT. We only got through the first season, so when I got home, I torrented that bitch and watch all of S1 and S2 in one sitting the following weekend. And I already had a Tumblr at that time, so I just... lurked blogs, and then I started getting really into it. 

Long-short, this blog was created just before S3, so I could start interacting with other fandom people, and try my hand at meta (which I partook in extensively on the regular until everyone left). The name “inevitably-johnlocked” actually came about because I was a platonic bromance shipper when I first saw the show, until I got REALLY into it, and started educating myself and interacting with very lovely queer people, who in turn gave me the gift of self discovery. I was, rightfully so, inevitably destined to be a Johnlocker :) I laugh to myself about that all the time. It’s not even funny, but I have a few little easter eggs all over the place on my blog / posts that if you know small things about me, they’re rather amusing to weird people like me.

BUT ANYWAY, that wasn’t your question, LOL. With regards to ACD canon, truth is exactly this: I just never got around to it. I’ve no reason to NOT read them, I’m just a literal garbage human who eats fanfiction like Skittles. I haven’t read anything OTHER than fanfiction in literal YEARS. I think the last book I bought was the Inkheart Trilogy (WHICH BY THE WAY THERE NEEDS TO BE A JOHNLOCK AU FOR, where John is either the writer or the Silver Tongue [or both], his kid is Meggie, Mary has died / left him, and Sherlock is either his creation or we’ll go really meta and he IS the ACD character, and that’s how he meets John Watson, but I digress. I think about this a lot), which I love dearly. But I just haven’t really taken a break from reading fanfics since like... twenty... fourteen? Yeah, that’s when S3 came out. And then, yeah, I just read downloaded books now on my phone, and I just... never got around to downloading the ACD canon books. I know exactly where to get them, but I guess I’m just SO immersed in the BBC canon that I do like you do, except with EVERYTHING BBC canon, LOL. Except S4, LOL, that can go burn in the dumpster.

(as an aside, my consumption and adoration and obsession of fanfics works in everyone’s favour, really: I get content, you guys get more and more stuff to read that has my good-for-nothing-seal-of-approval, and because of the kind of neuroticism I do have, everything is meticulous and evolves with the fandom)

So yeah, TL;DR: I’m lazy. That simple. And I know it would probably be better for me to read them so that I can answer stuff with certainty, but I’ll be blatantly honest: I LOVE being a middle person to the interactions between y’all, and when you guys impart your knowledge onto me about stuff. It helps keep my blog interactive, and honestly, that’s fun :)

first post

okay... my first tumblr post... no big deal, no one’s going to see this anyway.

This place is kind of terrifying - and if it were anything like twitter, it would be months before I made my first post, where instead I would just be lurking beneath this page, constantly active but never posting in fear of someone disagreeing and being met with a ridiculous amount of hate.

However, I’ve been told this place isn’t like twitter at all, and I’m excited to see what i actually want to see to do with mcyts: fanart and one shot fluff, instead of holding cc’s to insane standards and mass priv qrt’s when something doesn’t go your way.

I’m still learning how this place works, as I don't have very much experience, and this place is like HTML central (not what I'm used to lol), so please bear with me, but I’m going to give a list of stuff that I like, and if anyone happens to see this and feels like becoming friends, give me a follow :DD

- i’m currently hyperfixating on mcyt, and twitch in terms of minecraft players, and most members of the DreamSMP

- I like other youtubers, like Grian, SmallishBeans, and LDShadowlady, but I also watch some stuff that isn’t gaming related (Cody Ko, James Marriott/ the Eboys, the Sidemen and Jade Billington)

- I really like the feral boys in particular, and the dream team (though i suppose those are sort of interchangeable aren't they :p)

- as well as stuff like that online, I enjoy creative writing, art (mostly digital, though i studied traditional styles), photography, and singing.

- Not just singing, actually - musical theatre is a massive part of my life, and i hope to pursue it as a career one day :))

- I have many musical interests (though none really original, I basically got my entire music taste from mcyt’s lmaooo I'm so unoriginal): glass animals, James Marriott, Quadeca, Khai Dreams, Lovejoy, Wilbur, glaive, Forrest and olivia rodrigo.

If people reposting your gifs are such a big problem to you why don't watermark them? I know you ask people not to repost your gifs but that's not stopping anyone, I've had my content stolen/reposted but I've put that on the internet where almost anybody can access it so I have to understand the pros & cons about putting my work on the internet, it's not cool people are stealing but they are right about it being on the internet..

… i’m sorry but i really hate this argument… i’m gonna go on a tangent so don’t take this personally, but yeah…i am very well aware of the pros and cons, i don’t watermark my gifs because firstly, i think it looks ugly? like i can’t make a watermark good look, my first priority is actually to make quality content that is appealing TO ME and that is more important to me than having each gif signed, though nothing against people that do watermark their gifs because i have friends who have been so hurt and exploited by repost bots that i totally understand that, it’s just that my priorities lie elsewhere and i would still be pissed off even if it got reposted on here with my watermark cause obviously nobody checks those anyway.

but secondly… as a creator it’s not my responsibility to watermark and make sure that my name is out there and to like have a -protection- against reposters… this is just about basic RESPECT and i don’t understand why is that hard to give? i even allow reposting my gifs on other platforms as long as you credit me, i’m pretty lenient about this lol (not tumblr cause here’s reblog so no need to repost)…

honestly that argument “it’s on the internet so what do you expect”, everything is on the internet, reposting gifs is still disrespectful to people that work hard on them even though it’s on the internet just as reuploading music is still illegal even though it’s on the internet, there is a huge problem with attribution online in general and people should be more vigilant about it not the other way around, what does shrugging your shoulders and be like WELP IT’S THE INTERNET solve? that does no good?

I don't know if you've ever spoken about this, but I just want to know what you think of Alysanne and Silverwing's trip to the Wall? Alysanne says that she tried to fly Silverwing over the Wall but Silverwing refused for the first time. Do you think that Silverwing knows what's beyond the Wall and that she was scared or that the magic of the Wall didn't let her cross. In the show Daenerys and her dragons simply fly over the wall, but I think that this is too easy.

So I touched upon this on Twitter very briefly but this question definitely resonates in my mind because I have THOUGHTS. Tyrion notes this when thinking about the Valyrian Freehold in ADWD:

This got me thinking about Silverwing being reluctant to cross the Wall, I’m not sure whether it was because of the magic woven into it or if she could sense something, but her response is so eerie.

It’s just so interesting to me that Silverwing was reacting so strongly to the winds blowing from the North, that she refused her own dragonrider and wouldn’t budge. Goosebumps. The Wall was specifically built to keep the Others out, and more about what can pass from the North side into the South. I could be mistaken however, but it also strikes me as odd that Aegon I himself never ventured beyond the Wall either... it could either be down to George simply not filling us in on that aspect, or whether we’re meant to infer something from it? Idk.

It also made me wonder if the Valyrians’ dragons could sense something was wrong, or if the Valyrians themselves had the knowledge of what lurked in the frozen North. It could also be due to the lingering magic of the CotF, but since the Wall existed at the rise of the Valyrian Empire, it’s purpose must have been known to the Valyrians and what lay beyond it too. I’m not going to get into the Last Hero and Azor Ahai, but the connections between Westerosi and Essosi lore are very interlinked and it’s definitely worth thinking about... anyway kudos to Daenys and Aegon I for being ahead of their time and looking to Westeros 👀🔥 Sorry about the rambling lol!

10. okay so story time, around the age of 15/16 is when I started to realize I was into kinky stuff. The preference had kinda always been there, but I couldn’t really place a name to it.
