#I need to read everyhting she’s ever written

The unease from learning several people fought over this house in the beginning. “Why would anyone want this house?” To Luke always saying how this is his house house, it’s going to be his house. The slow but still too sudden shift to happiness. The food is good. There’s good company. Shifts to the lawn is nice. Waking up refreshed. The fear was exciting. It’s like being pulled in by the waves. You know what’s happening to you and the waves are not stronger than you. You can step back to the sand anytime you want. But soon the waters up to your chest and you’re not just being pulled in, but pushed around. You can’t see the shore anymore- but it’s still calming. The waters still nice. If you leave, go back to land, you’ll be cold and wet and sandy. But here, neck deep in the water it’s nice, it’s calming, it’s home.

Weekly Roundup: 21st April - 28th April

Did we all have a good week? Mine was much better, so hopefully yours was too. You alll deserve the best of weeks ever <3

I only worte 10,844 words this week, but with that I have 3 fics written and posted. and one has the biggest treat possible. Check out this art by @hobbityalse for the TSF fest and give them all the love they (And Thorin, Bilob, FIli, Kili and Frodo deserve)

So, on to recs:

Makes the Whole World Blind - Chrononautical - The Hobbit (Bagignshield, I love when they are feral for one another)

Summary: Bilbo Baggins has been kidnapped. Thorin Oakenshield considers a proportional response.

Nori Needs a Burglar - SunnyRose - The Hobbit @sunnyrosewritesstuff (Bagginshield, this is so clever and Bilbo getting caught in shennanigans accidently is *chef'f kiss*)

Summary: In charge of distracting Bilbo from their party plans, Nori tells the hobbit about a problem they've been having in the treasury. Of course, Bilbo being Bilbo, he managed to stumble upon a conspiracy against the Crown.

Unbreakable - Fantasyinallforms - The Hobbit @fantasyinallforms (Bagginshield, ngl, im not usually fond of the sex pollen trope as a personal prefrence, but this one is done so well and its all about the feels, its wonderfuly written)

Summary: Bilbo and Thorin are captured coming back from a diplomatic mission to the elf king's halls. Their captures have no intention of killing the great Thorin Oakenshield outright; instead, they seek to break him and attempt to use Bilbo to do it.

Bruises on the Heart - thehufflepuffhobbit - The Hobbit (Bagginshield, oblivious idiots, i'm looking at you Thorin, is always such a delicious plotline)

Summary: 5 times Thorin noticed his soulmate’s bruises and 1 time he gave them one.

With a tie not easy to break - MiraHerondale - The Hobbit (Bagginshied woth alternate first meeting, this amount of sweetness isnt good for my heart)

Summary:

“Finally”, said the hobbit, frowning despite his rushing heart. “I was worried.”

The smial was deadly silent behind him, which was surprising, considering how loud the dwarfs had been moments prior. Yet he refused to turn around and check.

“Worried? I thought we were angry.”

Fic for Thauc with the prompts "Bilbo and Thorin met before the Quest, fell in love and got married (in secret or not). How does that affect the Quest?" and "Thorin and Bilbo having an awkward and terrible hookup in Bree several months before the quest and then meeting at the quest."

Clue-finder - TheGrayKnight - The Hobbit (Bagginshield, Bilob being accidently BAMF is brillaint)

Summary: Bilbo originally asked to meet with Balin to discuss what he could do to help restore Erebor. He had no idea Balin would turn it around and talk about dwarven courting customs.

Huh, it ended up being all Bagignshield this week. Not that thats a bad thign of course, hopefully at least one person finds something to read <3

Fili and Kili are the highlight of Thorin's life. Everyhting he does is so they and the other Ereborians can have a better life.

Now on to mine.

Back to the start, but this time together (Wolfstar, prompt #250 of @flashfictionfridayofficial, feel free to search the other writers works, its always amazing to see what direction and fandom people go in with the same prompt imo)

Summary: The occupents of Grimmauld Place are rushing to catch the Hogwarts Express. Its time to take a new trip on the train that hearlded so many changes in all their lives. This time they are going to catch it together.

i just got into pmmm and everyhting is so confusing. what are the other 2 movies that aren't rebellion ? what is magia record ? what are the mangas and what order would i read them in ? i'm knee deep in a hyperfixation and i can't figure anything out >_<

the other 2 movies are recaps of the show, so they are just the plot of the show but with small changes and some stuff cut and some stuff added. you dont really need to watch them if you’ve seen the show but they are nice and some of the changes are cool

magia record is a spin off gacha game and anime. it’s focusing on different girls than the show, but the five girls from the show do show up in it. it’s more lighter in tone i would say like, like the girls still go through bad times but it’s more about community and how others can help you get through and recover from bad times i would say. (also the second arc is about magical girl war which is sooo soo my jam like even if it’s terribly written, which ive heard it isnt from what is translated, i would love it)

wraith arc is good especially for what it does with homura and it makes rebellion make a lot more sense (from what ive heard im lazy and still havent read it)

oriko magica is the worst looking manga ive ever read but because of it’s prequel, saddness prayer, and a spin off, extra story, it’s managed to make 2 villians the most complelling characters ever so it’s worth a read if you go through all of it (all together it’s rather long like 37 chapters but i promise it is worth it) oriko and kirika are everything (tw for child abuse as one of the characters has abusive parents)

homura tamura is funny in like a that’s so random way but like if it was actually funny. it’s really good basically. it’s about a version of homura that everyone calls tamura and her just going to very strange time lines where everything is slightly off

tart magica is about joan of arc being a magical girl and everyone who i know that’s read it says it’s like the best spin off so yeah (i havent read it but im going too soon)

kazumi magica is weird and the character designs are just fucking awful and im probably never gonna read it because of that, but basically its about kazumi who wakes up with no memories and a lot of shit happens. from my understanding it explores more aspects of the whole system but i have no idea how well as i have not and am not planning on reading it any time soon

suzune magica is about a magical girl assassin who is going around killing other magical girls. havent read it and dont really know anything about it

homura’s revenge is ��what if madoka remembers the last time loop” i know nothing else about it

there is a rebellion manga which ive heard is good and then a manga version of the main series which changes the characterization of some of the characters in ways i hate (the scene where homura is threatening to kill sayaka if she doesnt clean her soul gem in the manga makes it seem like homura is taking pleasure in the idea of doing so which is sooo far removed from how she is in the anime)

there’s some others but all of them are kind of ehh gag manga i think
