I actually agree with you 100% on all long-term relationship breakups being pretty much the same. When you've loved someone for so long, it means they're also part of your routines, part of your comfort, part of your home and part of your family. Their family becomes your family, their friends become your friends, their hopes and aspirations become things you care about as well as their struggles. The reasons why the rs starts falling apart aren't as simple as one or both parties no longer "being in love", but rather a combination of issues: career ambitions intolerable to the relationship for various reasons, incompatibility of personalities or of extended families, growth at different paces, the goals and wishes agreed at the start of the rs changing with time, loss of trust and connection, etc. I thought of this the other day when an anon mentioned the movie Blue Valentine, and I think the reason why that film feels so realistic (and devastating) is because all long term relationships slowly desintegrate in similar manners to what happens to the couple in the movie. And piggybacking off the discourse we had on The Alcott, it's quite desperating and frustrating to slowly realize that things that once were profoundly sacred have come to feel like a curse; you no longer feel like you're choosing everyday to be with this person out of love, but rather that you're emprisioned to them.

What we know about TTPD department so far makes me think this will be explored but not in the way many fans seem to be expecting (not you guys lol but I have seen ppl that expect the songs to be sassy, petty, and accusatory). Instead, I think we will see her show and deconstruct all the ways she fought for it to work, compromising, committing, twisting herself into a pretzel, and making herself smaller, not because he was "forcing her" like some fans think but rather from her own decision bc that's just how much she loved him. Which is even more devasting if you think of it: she locked herself away, tried to dim her shine, beared emotional burdens alone because of her own conviction and desire to make things work, not as a result of him "making her" do all of that. So imo one of the reasons this album will be particularly devastating is bc we will learn in a very raw manner just how much she loved this man and how much she was willing to give up for him, and how much regret she probably has about things she did for him that at the time felt like a no-brainer but in hindsight seem ridiculous (which is a very common thing for everyone bc that's simply what you do when you love someone; love isn't usually rational). And this will undoubtedly be very relatable for ppl who have been in ltrs that ended bc, as you say, most of them end in the same way and most of us realize how much we actually sacrificed for it only after the fact.

i agree!!! also, we know taylor never does anything by halves. we know love is basically a religion of drug to her. we know she felt that he believed in her and loved her for her at a time when she felt she was distinctly unlovable. we know she fought hard to deal with her baggage. we know she was reflecting on fame, how fickle it is, and why she wanted it so badly (miss americana doc, mirrorball, midnight rain, to name a few.) we can look at midnights to see the things that were haunting her and they were things like: dealing with fame, choosing the hard way, reckoning with loss of self, wanting to protect love that felt fragile, blocking out noise, the empowerment and loneliness of relying on oneself. midnights feels like a very honest and logical progression past folkmore, which discussed those topics as well as infidelity, taking up space, confronting depression and pain and other sticky human desires. ttpd feels like it will further touch on these complicated and sticky and dark topics, with the added "bonus" of the specter of a breakup, and the breakup itself, haunting them. anyone whose ever lost a part of themselves to try and save a relationship of any kind will understand, i think. love is a beast that way.

I would hesitate to say that everyone who's afraid about it is "blackpilled" mostly because I think a lot of folks just aren't very aware of why he chose to step down, and draw the pretty reasonable conclusion that stepping down this late in the game will mean a scramble to replace him and shift voter support to a new candidate- which could jeopardize the election for Democrats.

And I do think that's a reasonable conclusion to draw, because it's what I saw people saying about the possibility of Trump being disqualified over the criminal charges he's been facing, like, a year ago: that the best possible outcome of that would have been that he'd be disqualified too close to the election for Republicans to get any energy behind a new candidate.

The difference in context is that most of the support for Biden in this race was just support for the Democratic party; or in a lot of cases, support for anyone but Trump. The support for Trump, on the other hand, is support for Trump specifically. Trump brings a lot of voters in who wouldn't otherwise vote at all, which is, to my understanding, why so many Republicans who disagree with him still throw support behind him as a candidate.

If Trump dropped out (or was disqualified somehow), Republicans lose a lot of voters who were only showing up to elect Their Guy. Biden dropping out means that the voters who were only gonna vote for Biden because he was the Democratic nominee (which was where most of his support was coming from) will vote for whoever the next nominee is anyway, and Dems now have a chance to pick someone who will draw in more voters who weren't feeling motivated to vote for Biden, but who would be willing to vote for a Democrat that inspires a little more confidence (and there are several candidates to choose from that fit this bill!)

Which is just to say that I think it's understandable that folks just are not aware of this context, and are just using the information they do have to make what would otherwise be pretty reasonable guesses. I'm definitely surprised by how common that seems to be, just because I guess I don't notice the water I'm swimming in, but I really hope the narrative will shift as more folks get curious about what this means and start to learn/educate each other.

Maybe the raccoon-like mc is a raccoon beastman of sorts and they originated from the slums (like Ruggie) and they have a habit of going through the trash because of their poverty- and suddenly they're in the presence of nobles, knights, and royalty who vie for their attention... which gives them ample opportunity to go through all of their trash.

Maybe you could write something along those lines with Ruggie, Floyd, and whomever else you'd wanna include? If that's okay? (Perferably gn or male reader) please and thank you! 🖤🖤🖤

As I'm currently writing this, I don't know how long it took me to get back to this (me being me, I decided to do an absurd amount of research on raccoons for the prompt) but hopefully it didn't take to long. (Y/n) really didn't know what he was doing here. At all. 

Well, actually he did. His gaze traveling over towards the rather tall man, who (Y/n) wasn't entirely sure was human (not that he had any right to judge), who was lugging around Grimm as if the tiny monster was the man's personal squeeze toy. (Y/n) was more than a little annoyed, though that annoyance wasn't just directed at the tall man before him.

Lately a strange group of people have been lingering around him. Insistent on their advances. Startling enough, most of them were of noble birth, which was a problem for (Y/n). That meant the guards hanged around him more often. Which means he didn't have nearly as many opportunities to go looking for more things for his...collection as of the past few days. ((Y/n) didn't see the big deal, obviously people threw it away because they didn't want it, what was wrong with him taking it?)

Then there was the most troublesome. Where cases like these turned up. Where he was dragged around by said noble, to do only what the Stars themselves knew. Not to say that (Y/n) hadn't tried to turn the man down, he did. As he always so vehemently rejected all the others, but then this man, Floyd he had called himself, took Grimm of all things!

Grimm was rightfully his! (Y/n) had found him in the trash, and took him home with him. Sometimes, Grimm insisted that the relationship was the other way around, but it still stood. Grimm was not to be taken from (Y/n) and yet this man did it. And he dragged Grimm, and by extension (Y/n), all the way to his mansion.

Walking back home wouldn't be pleasant. And (Y/n) refused to do so without Grimm in his hands.

"Lord Floyd, I must insistent once more that you give Grimm back. He is not some item that you can take as you please!" (Y/n) insisted. (Once again, a statement that was more than a little hypocritical.) Floyd looked over at him, appearing just as annoyed as (Y/n) was, but he failed to see why the tall man could possibly be annoyed.

"But then you'll just leave Shrimpy." Floyd whined, much like a child not getting his way. And there was that strange nickname Floyd had for him. Something (Y/n) choose to ignore once he noticed that Floyd gave strange names to everyone, so there wasn't any point in arguing with it.

"Obviously, I was never planning on coming here. Me and Grimm had plans today. Ones that you ruined, Lord Floyd." (Y/n) huffed, his ears flicking about in agitation.

"Digging around in the trash aren't plans Shrimpy." Just before (Y/n) could even argue with Floyd, the tall man seemed to perk up, an idea flashing across his eyes that (Y/n) wasn't privy to. "But if that's what you want to do, I got just the place!!" Floyd harshly grabbed onto (Y/n)'s own arm and began dragging him around.

The grip didn't hurt, but it didn't leave any room for (Y/n) to fight back against it. Instead, simply having to put up with the action. Just another reason as to why (Y/n) was sure the man before him wasn't human.

In the end, despite what Floyd had said to him mere moments ago, Floyd had dragged him out way back from the mansion, to a dumpster. (Y/n) couldn't help it when his ears perked up in interest. Something Floyd definitely noticed, considering his predatory grin that seemed to stretch across his lips.

"Feel free to rummage around there all you like! You can even live in there if you want to!!" Floyd cheered, his words non-the-compliment like he assumed they were, as the tall man more-or-less threw Grimm at (Y/n). Hastily, (Y/n) moved to catch Grimm, mindful of his unretractable claws. He didn't want to accidentally harm Grimm.

"My home is perfectly up to standard, Lord Floyd! I'm not going to live in your dumpster!" (Y/n) huffed, setting Grimm down as the little monster began to struggle against him. Only for Grimm to jump into the dumpster himself.

"C'mon, (Y/n)! There's bound to be some good stuff in here!!" Grimm cheered, before poking his little head out to glare at Floyd. "We're keeping anything we find in here!!" (Y/n) grimaced. There was a reason he avoided digging around through nobles trash, and he certainly didn't do it when said noble was watching!!

"Of course Baby Seal, it was the reason I brought you back here after all!" The Floyd's facial expression turned dangerous. "But you shouldn't try and steal anything else." Another thing (Y/n) had to watch out for, it was a habit that he was trying to teach out of Grimm. Unfortunately, it seems Floyd's noticed. Then, Floyd turned to (Y/n), his expression not nearly as dangerous. "Well, what are you waiting for Shrimpy?"

Before (Y/n) could say anything, Floyd grabbed onto his waist and threw them both into the dumpster. Laughing the whole way. Was this any way for a noble to behave?

"Watch where you're landing, bozo!!" Grimm snapped. But Floyd just laughed at him, deciding to tease the small monster. Sighing to themselves, (Y/n) began digging around. While Floyd was distracted by Grimm, maybe (Y/n) could find something useful.

Of course, in the end he didn't. Instead finding used teabags, strange food that they've never seen before, and clearly expensive cutlery and jewels. Like he said, utterly useless. The only thing that had any value, though (Y/n) personally wasn't a fan, was the used manastones. Grimm sometimes liked to use them as snacks, and sometimes (Y/n) could use them to repair some things around town if he was careful about it. With this in mind, he began to collect those.

"Do you like manastones, Shrimpy? I can get you way more of those!" Floyd chirped, grinning at (Y/n) in a way he has come to decide he didn't like.

"Not really. But Grimm likes eating the used ones sometimes." (Y/n) didn't mention what he did for a living. Having a feeling that Floyd would suddenly start 'coincidentally' showing up, if he did.

"Really Baby Seal? Those can't taste all that great! I can make you a real good meal! And you can use my dumpster!" Floyd tried again with his sells pitch. (Y/n) cut Grimm off, knowing if the monster agreed before thinking, leaving would be much more difficult.

"We have a perfectly good home, Lord Floyd." (Y/n) commented. Floyd frowned at him, seemingly offended by (Y/n)'s comment.

"I'm sure my dumpster is way better than the one you're living in!" Floyd huffed. (Y/n) paused, their tail puffing up in anger as they turned to glare at Floyd. Who was he to suggest that (Y/n) lived in a dumpster!

"I. Live. In. A. House." (Y/n) stressed. "Just because it's old doesn't mean it's a dump." (Y/n)'s words had an unusual affect on Floyd, seeing as the tall man perked up for some inconceivable reason.

"You live in an actual house!?" Floyd's grin was manaic. "Where do you live? I'll make sure to stop by sometime." (Y/n) didn't doubt Floyd's words, regretting letting Floyd have this information. But seriously, he thought (Y/n) lived in an actual dumpster!?

"It's way out of town. Far out. You'd probably get lost, so there's really no need Lord Floyd." (Y/n) insisted. However, Floyd's grin was persistent, not once falling.

"Ah, c'mon Shrimpy~ That's an easy fix. You can just show me your home when I drop you off today." Floyd chirped. "And don't you think I should get some compensation for letting you dig around my dumpster?" (Y/n) knew not to trust the man.

(Y/n) was diligently ignoring the man that was laughing outside of his dumpster as (Y/n) dug through it along with Grimm. (Y/n) was more than a little annoyed with him.

He dragged (Y/n) around while he was running away from a bunch of guardsmen! (Y/n) would be lucky if he wasn't seen, let alone arrested when he goes back home. But this is what (Y/n) gets for knowing a thief. Though (Y/n) supposes he actually knows three thieves, all at varying degrees of troublesome.

"Shehehehe! I didn't think it would work you up this much." (Y/n) frowned, before turning to Ruggie with his claws on full display, making it clear he could swipe at him. But this just made the hyena beastmen laugh even more, somehow enthralled by (Y/n)'s actions. So, he just went back to ignoring the hysterically laughing man.

Not to mention, Ruggie actually had a bountiful of useful items, an itch settling on the back of (Y/n)'s mind to just take it. And considering Ruggie was a thief, he had no right to judge (Y/n)'s current actions. Grimm wasn't nearly as enthused, but the small monster had always found digging around nobles trash more interesting. So it wasn't surprising Grimm wasn't as enthusiastic as (Y/n) was.

Ruggie leaned over his dumpster to stare at both (Y/n) and Grimm, a wide smile on his face.

"You can always stay here if you like my trash so much." Ruggie joked. At least, (Y/n) hoped he was joking, not that he would be taking Ruggie up on his offer either way.

"I don't need to give the guardsmen further reason to arrest me. No thank you." (Y/n) commented, swatting at Ruggie with his tail in a way to shoo the Hyena away, but this just seemed to amuse the hyena even further.

"You're far from innocent." Ruggie remarked, gesturing towards (Y/n)'s current actions. Before (Y/n) could defend himself, a high pitched voice began to yell, calling out to the hyena before him.

"Ruggie! The stove's broken! What are we going to do for supper?" A tiny little girl, that was also a hyena beastmen, run out from Ruggie's house, grabbing onto the aforementioned hyena. (Y/n) blinked at the little girl, and the little girl blinked at him. Before they both decided to ignore one another.

"I'll check it out and see if there's anything I can do for it, but I might have to go out again." And with those words, Ruggie and the little girl were gone. Leaving (Y/n) to steam in silence, an unwelcome itch niggling at the back of his mind.

He could probably fix it, he did enough odd jobs here and there to pick up more than a few things. But did he want to help the person that kidnapped him? No, not really. Even if Ruggie wasn't a violent kidnapper and was letting (Y/n) go through his trash, he was still a kidnapper. No, that wasn't the question. The actual question was if he wanted a little girl to potentially go hungry?

With a glance a Grimm, (Y/n) had made up his mind. He didn't like the thought of anyone going hungry. Especially not with the state he had found Grimm in. Sighing to himself, (Y/n) hauled himself out of the dumpster.

"C'mon Grimm, let's go help them with their stove." (Y/n) decided. Grimm huffed at him with a glare that didn't have any real heat behind it.

"You shouldn't be helping people for free, Henchmen!" Grimm reminded, but (Y/n) simply rolled his eyes at the little monster. 

"I won't get you trout for the next month if you don't help me." (Y/n) threatened. Grimm gasped, looking more than a little affronted.

"That's going to far, Henchmen! How dare you threaten the Great Lord Grimm's fish." (Y/n) gave the little monster a blank look before trailing off towards the relatively small house. Even (Y/n)'s house was larger. But that might be because (Y/n)'s house was originally an abandoned one.

Grimm could be heard grumbling to himself, even though he followed after (Y/n) with haste. (Y/n) couldn't fight off the small smile from his lips, having anticipated the small monster's reaction.

Knocking on the door of the home, (Y/n) shamelessly walked in, attempting not to show his surprise at the many children bustling around. One of the children looked at (Y/n) with a scrunched-up nose, he had just been digging through the trash, before grounding out a--

"What do you want?" (Y/n) blinked at the little boy before completely ignoring him and walking off towards where he knew Ruggie was. He, unfortunately, already knew what the hyena beastmen's scent was. He was painfully familiar with his and a few others.

When he finally found Ruggie, the hyena was bent over a small stove, with an elderly woman beside him.

"I might be able to fix it." (Y/n) spoke. Ruggie perked up, before turning to look at him.

"As much as I appreciate the offer, the manastone ran out of power. I'll just have to go and grab another one." And by grab, (Y/n) knew Ruggie meant steal. And stealing a manastone wasn't easy. 

"No, I can fix it. I've done it plenty of times before. Even with a manastone running low on fumes." (Y/n) insisted. Before Ruggie could further protest, the elderly woman turned to (Y/n).

"Then hurry it up and fix it then." She spoke in a deadpanned voice, giving (Y/n) an analyzing look. "Stay for dinner. You helped fixed the stove, it's the least we can do." The elderly woman spoke, before her own nose twisted up. "But I expect you to get a bath before that young man!" She wagged her finger at him.

If I came across as snippy or trying to start something, I apologize, I'm barely holding myself together right now. I just saw some of the comments people have made about the situation on your Palestine AU and got frustrated. I want to be sure people have the whole picture, but whenever I try, people shut me down without really listening and blocking me. A guy got my original account deleted for "hate speech" when I posted my story just because they didn't like what I said. That's why I'm staying anon.

The truth is, I have someone over there who's being held in the middle of it all. She went on a school trip a few months ago and was reported missing. My family panicked not knowing what happened, and then a few weeks later all hell broke loose with this war.

My family was furious with Israel, and jumped to the conclusion it was like Russia & Ukraine, but later found out they were trying to take out Hamas, who had taken her and some of her classmates hostage.

No one knows what it's like to have someone over there, and no one seems to try to understand or even care. In their minds, Israel is the big bully and Palestine is the sole victim, but things aren't that black and white. Hell, Israel negotiating for hostage releases is the only reason a couple of her classmates have come home.

Meanwhile, everyone online seems to keep preaching about how Palestine must be free and how they need to stop supporting this war while offering no real alternatives to stopping Hamas, even going so far as to say they are a bunch of freedom fighters who need the support. Sometimes the only options you have are bad ones... But you still have to choose...

I'm not saying what's happening to the innocent people in Palestine isn't a tragedy, or trying to just brush it off, but men who kill without reason cannot be reasoned with. I wouldn't wish this on anyone; knowing those monsters have her is a living hell, and not a day goes by that we don't hope and pray that they'll be stopped, just so my sister can come home.

Hey, I completely understand your situation. But we have to admit this is a sensitive topic for many. NOT forbidden, just sensitive. You can expect me to listen to what you have to say and even understand your perspective, but you won't find many people like that when it comes to this topic and that is just what the internet is like. Just because I am understanding you doesn't mean other people are, and they each have their own right to being exhausted with justifications of crimes on any side. If there's anything I've learned it's that pointing fingers in an argument is not going to get anyone anywhere. I am someone who has been trying to hear out both israelis and Palestinians because like anyone else, after oct 7 I wanted to get the whole picture, as you say.

But your entire discussion started with being biased instead of trying to show the whole situation. You started with saying "israel is not the bad guy" but also said "Hamas is a terrorist organization" and I want you to really look at the use of words if you want people to see the "entire picture". Otherwise you ARE going to get shut down. The entire point of starting an argument online is that you first have to claim you've tried to study the complexity thoroughly. Chalking it up to Hamas being a terrorist organization and justifying a genocide is not going to cut that.

Everyone living in Israel knows they are, first and foremost, living in an apartheid state. And the army only apologized because they were identified as Israeli citizens. How does that differentiate the Israeli army from Hamas? I don't need to pull up multiple sources or proof provided by the Israelis themselves. They are already everywhere. What I've heard and what I've seen from October seven, I'm seeing more and more of it being done by the Israeli Army. So we need to be really careful trying to call one side a terrorist, because that will automatically mean calling the other side the same. Which is true. In terms of definitions, what's happening in Gaza is blatant terrorism.

If Palestine was an apartheid state, you would see me speaking out against them. If Palestine was a colonizer apartheid and the people stood up to fight back against a powerful army with resources far more than that of them, you would see me calling them freedom fighters, not terrorists. Because I did happen to read a little bit about the international laws. I do happen to be from a family with a history of armed freedom fighters.

So yes, I am incredibly sorry that this is impacting you mentally, I hope you and you family stays safe and united, but if the impact is making you say biased things, it's better to go offline, take a break from social media, and spend this time trying to pray for your family and spending time with them.

Imagine that there is a person, who really likes this IF and likes one certain (in this case female)character especially and is ok with smut, but is a strict top, cause they may feel uncomfortable with giving away the rains, out of whatever reasoning(could be related to trauma etc.), now this person could not "play" the 18+ scenes of certain ro, cause this could trigger smth, and would be "forced" to either choose another ro, or not read/play this IF.

Now, i think when voting for "let everything be as it is" you are just plain ol' ignoring that these people do actually exist and are like "well not my problem", which is just so ignorant.

Personally, i would just say, the characters should behave accordingly to how the mc/player flirted with the chosen ro i.e. if you were more shy = ros more dominant or letting the player choose if the ros should take initiative or not before an 18+ scene would start.

Also this i not ment as "hate" against the people who voted, but i felt like i needed to say this, and i know it probably won't change shite.

(Hey, it’s Johto Elites anon back again! :D) Well, since you asked so nicely (<3) I do have some ideas for an anthology planned out already, but I will have to do some character sketching to figure out exactly how I want everyone to come out! The Elites are harder to pin down than Lance because they don’t have much media to draw on, but looking at their outfits I think I can get a pretty good idea lol. Here are the rough ideas I already have rotating in my head:

The beginning, middle, and end of the three-way prank war between Will, Karen, and Koga. (And, as a bonus, Lance’s revenge >:))

Will inviting Lance to join him for a joint meditation session. Lance has a great time as someone who hasn’t relaxed in three years straight. Will has a terrible time as a psychic/empath who is slowly being crushed by the actual spiritual manifestation of Lance’s stress.

Lance meeting Janine for the first time when she takes over the Fuschia Gym. New achievement unlocked: Become an honorary bruncle (big-brother-slash-uncle?) without even doing anything.

Lance getting injured (poisoned, perhaps, if I choose to be so evil 😏) on a big, hush-hush espionage mission and accidentally outing himself as a G-Man to the Elites in the worst way possible.

Koga and Bruno sparring and wrecking the crap out of the dojo, and the aftermath.

Clair meeting Karen for the first time when she visits Indigo Plateau to see Lance. Cue the world’s pettiest cat fight.

however, as their feelings for each other grow, is kinda hard not to root for Tim and MC. especially because Tim is incredibly charismatic and really supportive of MC. he gets on well with her friends, ofc, and he even finds a way to charm her dad. everyone genuinely likes him and when they get together it's just natural.

I think Tim's family likes Jen. I mean, she's nice and a very sweet girl, even though she can come across as s snob sometimes. I don't think they really get in the middle of his relationships, they're just happy he's happy. however, when he starts to demean himself because of her, that's when they start telling him things aren't ok.

based on Tim's first impression of Jen — about her basically being a brat —, I think his friends don't like her at all. they totally call her stuff behind her back like princess money or whatever. they rather to hang out with someone who's not a stuck up.

I can see Tim's mum and friends loving MC! they just love the whole rap crew — Jake, Rohan, Talia, MC. she definitely fits way better to his real life than Jen. and if they watched the show, they WILL BE teasing both of them ALL THE TIME.

as for the LI crew... well, Rohan is clueless. no, like, he really didn't know they had feelings for each other and he is SHOCKED when they start dating.

Jake knows. he absolutely knows. even before re-watching the show, he just knew. he witnessed the longing stares, the almost picking each other at the recoupling moments. how they were always hanging out by the daybeds and joking around. he may or may not have a bet going with Talia about who confesses their feelings first.

and Talia knows too. because, and I don't know if you guys remember this, but MC tells her she would couple up with Tim (if you, like, chooses the option, of course). and she's not stupid. she picked up every single flirting moment, Tim's disappointed face when MC says in the lie detector she doesn't have any other crushes in the Villa.

Your thoughts on how popularity is supposed to trump all trauma, and so Quinn and Santana need to just shut up and be grateful is maybe why Promasaurus is so frustrating to me. Because it's like the writers pick and choose when popularity matters. Sometimes a desire for it deserves to be punished, sometimes it's true, heartwarming validation. Quinn is evil two years in a row for caring about it, despite both times being in a mental state where it actually makes a TON of sense for her to crave that reassurance. But then Rachel is given the honor despite zero narrative set-up for it, and we're not only expected to think it's earned because of HER "hardships" (sorry, I cannot even take her S3 arc seriously considering the writers knew full well the entire time none of it was going to matter), but we're supposed to view Santana as a bad guy for stripping her of the illusion of what it actually meant 2 seasons later. I mean, honestly, being given Prom Queen by her two ex-rivals who truly know her, could arguably be seen as MORE meaningful than just a bunch of hypothetical votes from people who just voted for her because they were already voting for her bf. But nope, NOW that validation from strangers matters and is okay to care about. But when Santana and Quinn cared in S2-3, for, quite frankly, WAY more understandable reasons? THEN it was proof of shallowness.

No no see what you don't get Anon is that when Rachel enjoys popularity and actively envies it she's Valid and it's a good thing to want and she deserves that moment of glory. When Finn caves to peer pressure because he's desperate to retain his position it's understandable really, don't be so hard on the guy he's trying his best and is really good at heart even when he doesn't lift a finger to stop bullies. When Quinn and Santana want popularity and are desperate to maintain it? Bad! Bad bad people, look how rotten they are in their single-minded pursuit. Never mind that Quinn's fall from grace is brutal and people keep reinforcing that she's only worth anything as a pretty face, and never mind that Santana's need for validation comes from a deep fear of people finding out she's queer and therefore inevitably an outsider. Give me one valid reason for your double standard Glee I'm begging you. Give me one reason not to judge Finn "faggy lamp" Hudson as harshly for caving under peer pressure as you want me to judge Quinn for obsessing over Prom Queen. Give me one reason why Rachel's allowed the eternal underdog narrative where her "winning" Prom Queen is triumphant but Santana seeking validation while being a queer Latina woman in a bigoted environment that has only ever seen her as a whore, that makes her shallow. And I don't even think Glee is always judging Quinntana, for example the portrayal of the three-way gay lovers scene in Prom Queen is surprisingly sympathetic. It generally is a character-based double standard. When our "baddies" want to conform to the high school social hierarchy they're weak-willed and rather pathetic, really, but the Good Underdogs are allowed simultaneous martyr and superiority complexes. And when they are validated by the mainstream? That's a sign of their awesomeness, of course. My eventual Glee magnum opus will be tearing this underdog obsession a new one because it drives me crazy how unaware this show is that all these kids and the conventionally attractive aren't any less traumatized. I mean that's just another big aspect of this.

You know who the only character above all this high school nonsense is who actually keeps their integrity even when getting the upper hand? Mercedes Jones. But idk if y'all are ready for that conversation.

On the note of Santana's big blow to Rachel during 100 being the Prom reveal, holy shit I think you really tapped into something there Anon. Obviously Santana was meant to be and succeeded in being cruel but I never vibed with people pretending that it was oh so big a deal that she told Rachel. To be clear, yeah it was a dick move but my god can you stop pretending it was the most evil thing. After the Pezberry feud dust settled, I really hope Rachel investigated what that revelation meant, exactly. Because you're so right, what means more? A bunch of random peers voting for her, for no reason really (how did she believe it was real) OR two girls who had once bullied her but learned to love and appreciate her giving up their own pursuit of this mighty title and deciding to give it to her. Rachel literally says "do you not understand what you mean to me" to Quinn JUST before the coronation happens and goes on a whole spiel about Quinn's friendship meaning the most out of anything to her. If it really meant that much to be able to form that connection then surely it should be at least just bittersweet instead of devastating that a bunch of randos didn't, in fact, randomly vote for you. It was the two girls you have endeared yourself to. And again, Santana was being a jerk and cruel on purpose and boo that sucks, whatever, jail for Santana. All the tutorials are helpful and the folks in the renpy server are very nice 👌 So far routes aren't 100% finalised but I will say that there ARE secret routes that you can unlock if you choose the right options 🤭

I'm thinking of trying to make a survey to decide some routes but I'm not overly sure what to put on it.

I mostly got introduced to your blog bc of your Alhaitham and Tighnari fics: Vision Qualifications and Creative Differences. I was particularly very interested in how you portrayed Tighnari in CD and adored the way reader being a writer was portrayed.

you guys are free to hate me for this: but those two fics are my least liked fics i've written hAHAHAHAH. not enough spice for me. not enough violence or dubious "food". i still question why people wanted part 2 on that tighnari fic when for me it was the blandest story i've written i am SORRY it just IS for me ya know what I mean it's just BLAND NO SPICES NO FLAVOR- i wrote about cannibalism, a dragon diety!reader, and a bunch of weird things, my small brain does not calculate why these two has more attention than the ones I actually use my brain for hAHHAHAHAHA- (like seriously, both those fics had little research whatsoever while I'm pulling out sht like Japanese & Filipino mythology, KPop culture, and fricking Abraham Lincoln's biography (no joke.) on other fics hjdasjas)

considering that you like otome games, I'm recommending this one: "I Got Reincarnated As A Server NPC In An Otome Game But A Capture Target Won’t Leave Me Alone". Don't be discouraged by that title, it's not a comedy LN at all. It contains violence and a mentally deranged cold duke of the south diluc lol. my fave blorbo.

O Capo! My Capo! can be a pretty grim series considering how I was inspired to write it because of a bad ending in an otome game fandisc. There are major character deaths (and it's 100% the readers' fault when an LI dies because of votes), mentions of drug abuse, etc. But if you like Piofiore perhaps you'd appreciate it too. Capo!reader is basically "what if Lilia had Dante's occupation and Gilbert's charisma-- oh and I guess your Nicola is Alhaitham for some reason" lmao.

ps: i think i saw you posting a question on r/otome_games about how to make the MC's personality. i agree with the majority that, honestly, you should just go wild lmao. make MC have some fighting spirit. the bar is low--

For theories, I have a few, but honestly not that many, they're more like, 'Headcanons/cool things that I want to have happen in the future!' Like Pochi turning into a dragon, or super large menacing-looking wolffo! Cool stuff, but they're not too likely to happen.

Oh! Actually, here's one that I highly support and remember thinking about!

The person that educated Sora is reincarnated, and might not even be dead!

I thought I came up with this theory by myself, but another, much more eloquent user actually put the theory into words, and even came up with more reasons than I initially had!

More opinionated stuff, under the cut~

Logically, in terms of who would work best from an actual endgame marriage standpoint, it's obviously Maria. Katarina canonically simps for her to long lengths in the novel. And, while Katarina being friends has helped everyone in some way, I'd argue that she helped Maria out the most in such a (relatively) small amount of time.

Katarina's Romance Situation Opinions!

As for who I want Katarina to end up with, for personal reasons, it's 100% Mary! This doesn't necessarily mean that I think she's the best actual option for Kat, and is just something that I would personally like to see more of.

She helped mend the gap between Maria's mom and her, and helped with a lot of Maria's emotional issues in what was approximately a month.

"But she did similar things for Alan and Geordo's relationship!" I hear non-existent debaters shout.

Well, yes, HOWEVER! Maria constantly makes Katarina want to do her best with how incredibly hard she works. Maria makes Katarina want to be a better person, and that's what a very healthy relationship should make someone want to do.

I'm terms of who I think the author is trying to veer to, I think that they have a lot of partiality to Geordo and Maria. However, I'm more-or-less hoping at the end goal is the:

Poly/Harem Route - it's the easiest way to satisfy everyone (or maybe just me, since I feel like I'm the only one actually fine with things staying in stasis-mode).

With HameFura I have confidence it could actually be pulled off relatively well! Most of the members in the current lineup aren't very aggressive to one-another.

Mary might want to have Katarina all to herself, but she has an adorable friendship with the two other girls. Even though she mostly seems like a dog owner to Alan, she does legitimately care about him, too (as is stated in her pov). She doesn't take any of her schemes too far, and the only ambitious one is just taking Katarina to another country. No murder, or insulting, or nasty gossip and rumor spreading of the others vying for Katarina.

The only ones that might have issues are Keith and Geordo, who butt heads a lot already, and honestly, I'm not entirely sure it would simmer down if a poly-harem route happened.

Even so, though, I believe it was stated that no matter who Katarina chooses in the end, they would respect her wishes. So I'm sure no real harm would come if Kat opted for it.

So! For personal reasons, it's Mary, the one I actually think would be best for Kata would be Maria, I think the author is aiming or either a Geordo or harem route, and ideally, since I'm sad about changing dynamics and the possibility of less screen time and interactions between the main cast (because I have an unfortunate soft-spot for all of them, sadly) I'd like the harem/poly ending.

Oh, uhhh, if you wanted me to say who I think Kata should get with in terms of guys, btw, my immediate answer is Alan. Their relationship is so dang wholesome, and unlike Geordo or (at times, Keith), Katarina feels wholly comfortable around Alan.

Fun fact because I love it btw: Alan was the first route Katarina cleared in Fortune Lover!

Sarah was very... difficult for her appearances. It's almost like trying to catch a butterfly because they're not flutter-flapping in a straight. Line!

Next up: Kata's secret!

The volumes tend to be a bit of a slow-burn for most of them, and I think I can safely say that Sarah didn't appear in 13 (as far as I've read from translated summaries anyway).

She first appeared in Vol. 4, then it's not until 11 when we hear from her, in 12 she gets a bit more focus, but since she doesn't show up in 13 (from what I can tell). So I think best-case senerio is that I missed her and she is in vol 13. If not, then I expect her to not show until 15-17

Gosh, I hate it when it's clear that a story is not someone's gig at all but they choose to whine about it to the author-- making them feel bad about what they write maybe without even realizing it. It's not polite at all. Also, you know, fluffy fanfictions exist. Don't like, don't read. As simple as that. That ask gives "an old man telling a woman to 'smile more' vibes, I think.

I see what the anon is trying to do in defending you but as you said yourself Stella is flawed and you wrote her that way on purpose so you must have known that would get a reaction? The way you guys talk about Johanne and Alex being together reminds me of Bill Skarsgård and Alida. People talk about them all the time, and they say literally some of the exact same things, word for word, about Alida that you guys do Johanne. Just worse because it seems Alida groomed Bill into a relationship with her and ended up trapping him by having kids with him? Idk I’m just reading into the drama now but it’s….interesting to say the least

Thank you for your input, anon. 😊 Even though I don't follow Bill's career that closely ("It" and "Barbarian" are his movies that I've seen and come to my mind, though I've probably watched some more), and don't know anything about his personal life other than the name of his father and siblings, I'd agree that discussing a famous actor/musician's love life and a general dislike towards their significant other is a common phenomenon across every fandom. I even came across this "bingo" on another blog, regarding Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner's relationship:

I think in the age of social media, where parasocial relationships are thriving and even encouraged by the industry as means to make more money, people feel closer to their favorite celebrities and entitled to discuss their personal lives (we've already discussed this here). There's even cases of people who genuinely believe they'd have some chance of being together with the object of their affection, if it wasn't for their current girlfriend, who they sometimes portray as some kind of "evil witch" without the slightest evidence. And if this is common across every fandom, it can also happen in regards to Alex, Johanne or anyone else he might have dated/will date in the future.

Although, I believe most discussions here have been about Johanne as a person, her own character and actions, regardless of whom she is dating. People don't "hate" Johanne just because she is dating Alex, nor do they see Alex as some sort of helpless victim who can't think for himself. People knew about Johanne because of Alex, of course, but they dislike her because of some questionable things she's been doing, a position she's put herself in. Her attitude would have been considered bad had she been dating Alex, prince Harry, the guy from across the street or no one at all. (Personally, I wouldn't really like to be friends with someone who pretends to be someone they're not, by trying to pass someone else's art as their own, without even crediting them as their source of inspiration, for example. It doesn't matter if it would be Johanne or a completely anonymous colleague.) So, I believe things aren't so black and white. People aren't "evil witches" just because they're dating your celebrity crush, nor are they always perfect and the best thing to ever happen to them. Just like in real life, sometimes people make good choices when choosing a partner, sometimes they don't. And at the end of the day, as much as we can discuss about it, it doesn't really concern us on a personal level.
