I was thinking about @art-the-f-up Spidrien AU recently and had a few thoughts...

1.) Adrien was definitely a Lego kid growing up.

2.) Adrien is the type of bf that subconsciously covers the corners of things because mari doesn't realize she's gonna wack her head on it

Tumblrs search absolutely sucks so I wanted to ask if you've ever shared any of your drawing process for the BuzzFeed unsolved au? I really love the style so I'd love to see a bit of how you make it and maybe learn from it!! No worries if not :] hope you have a lovely day/night!!

Thank you for asking!! But the Buzzfeed AU is not the best example for my drawing process LMAO that AU is more meme-making than drawing, it's just me adding fictional characters on top of preexisting screen shots of the show. That AU is completely unserious but if you'd like to see the au I actually work really hard on I'd love to share my process on my webtoon Him & Her (If you still want me to show how I edit BFU au I can show that too.) Sometimes I use shane and ryan as references, other times I add adrinette into a scene in a pose completely irrelevant to the actual show.

the scene above was just me taking an empty background and drawing adrinette on top of it, no relevance to any real scene.

most times i just use the ghoul boys as reference.

and I use Times New Roman to really ham up the classic vibe of the meme making experience. Pls ask me about my webtoon instead. I take that more seriously than this i swear

(Gosh I'm so in love with your art in it, Marinette's tragic backstory, Plagg and Tikki, the twist on the LB and CN personas, and I'm really excited to see where it goes!!)

wait wait hold on this is like. the first time someone actually asked me this thank you so much. I'm so glad you liked my versions of Tikki and Plagg, I had to think a lot about their designs. And I also have been putting a lot of work into this webtoon on the side because this Fanfic was supposed to be my "experimentation phase" for when I actually make my own original webtoon one day.

When I started it I had no idea how webtoons are made, but I realized you develop a certain style of webtoon as you go (You can clearly see the different between the first episodes and the current episodes. I've decided to not edit the beginning chapters because I want to look back on what my progress was like.)

Him & Her was one of my most favorite and treasured fanfics, I've probably read it thrice, and I'm retelling it so I'm going through it even more times. I have very high expectations from myself for how I portray certain scenes because I know many past readers also have expectations for how those scenes were in their head and. yeah.

After best friend’s, Adrien and Marinette’s, ghost hunting Youtube channel blows up in popularity, they decide to expand their search for haunted places to the states.

The Chat Noir Crew will check out the most haunted places in the United States, will they be able to find evidence of paranormal activity in America (and their own feelings)?

at the beginning of the genocide i used to make a lot of posts encouraging people to speak up and thanking people for speaking up, because i know a lot of people were intimidated by manufactured complexity about the middle east, and a lot of people were scared of repercussions. and then i stopped, because it started to feel really dehumanizing to be thanking allies for the bare minimum, and because i was tired, and because i was distracted by the scope of loss

but now i've noticed that as things have gotten worse, as so many of the things we asked you to speak up before they happened have come to pass, people are actually less likely to talk about palestine than they were ten months ago. now that it's palestine and lebanon, now that it's genocide and carnage, now that it's clear that the rule of law really doesn't apply equally no matter how much people protest and how much evidence they compile, now that people are criminalizing free speech and actively inviting authoritarianism simply to curb protest on palestine, i've noticed a withdrawal that isn't just exhaustion, but also disillusionment. and unfortunately this has left the onus on the most vulnerable to continue to be the most visible

so let me get back to it. yes, it is the bare minimum and it is small. yes, it can be more complicated now with an election you care about coming up soon. yes, things are very bleak. but i've said it before. this isn't a short term process. this is the long haul. there is no button that ends a genocide, there is only a lever we are all collectively pulling together.

the least and most you can do is speak up. i will give you concrete examples: when you see a post that dehumanizes arabs, a post that ignores genocide, a post that justifies massacres, you actually should object to that. it's not nothing. this is the rhetoric that allows these wars to continue, as poisonous as overt warmongering is covert normalizing with warmongering, is ignoring the genocide in gaza and the massacres in lebanon, and all the other overreaches of the US war machine. when you see people being unfairly targeted for being pro-palestine, you should still support them. when you see the things you love—movies, celebrities, literature, publishers, companies—supporting genocide, normalizing israeli war crimes, ignoring the sheer amount of suffering in the world, ignoring the wars happening with your taxes, you should still speak up against them. this isn't something you stop doing. this is now something you live with, the way you live with every other principle you hold dear, whether it comes to racism, to homophobia, to kindness, to cruelty, to keeping libraries open, to keeping children alive.

if you remember that this is injustice, then you have a role. your role is to remind people. they haven't forgotten that they are committing injustice, they're hoping you have. and the least you can do, the very least you can do, is remind them that you haven't.

BuzzFeed Paranormal: Woodland Investigators.

Marinette stood in front of the old, creaky house as Adrien came beside her holding a high-tech camera and aiming it where she shone a flashlight. He turned it on her.

‘Adrien, are you ready for this? We’ve had reports of strange noises, inexplicable drafts, and even… shadows.’ She could barely hold in the smile as she spoke. Sometimes it was so hard to be serious when you were doing such a shit job.

Adrien, in his usual comical, over-serious voice, dramatically moved the camera from her to his own face. ‘Marinette, you know I was born ready. Tonight… we face the unknown.’

‘Right. Or maybe it’s just the wind.’

‘Don’t ruin the suspense! It could be anything.’ Adrien grinned. He shut off the camera and looked at her. ‘Do you ever think we could be doing more with our lives than this?’

She shrugged. Of course she did, but then she wouldn’t spend all her time with him, not that she would tell him that of course.

They entered the house, the floorboards creaking beneath them. The house was dimly lit, the only sounds were those of their footsteps and the occasional spooky creak.

Adrien turned the camera back on and turned it to his face. ‘We’ve just entered the house. The air is cold. The atmosphere? Heavy. The spirits? Unsettled.’

She snorted. ‘The only thing unsettled here is your hair from all that gel. Calm down, Agreste.’

They walked through the house, and as they headed up the stairs, a loud thud came from the ceiling above them. They froze, both of them slowly looking up at the ceiling

Playing to the camera, as he always did, Adrien gasped. “DID YOU HEAR THAT?”

she grinned, using a finger to turn the camera to her. ‘What, your heart skipping a beat? Or was that the creaky old ceiling?’

‘She mocks now… but soon, we will uncover the truth. The truth that haunts these walls,’ he whispered dramatically, pulling an unladylike snort from her.

They reached the attic door, the thumping now louder, accompanied by faint scurrying sounds. Marinette narrowed her eyes at the door.

‘This is it, Adrien. This is where the ‘ghost’ must be. You ready?’

‘As ready as I’ll ever be. If I get possessed by a ghost, just… make sure I still look good on camera.’

Marinette rolled her eyes and pushed open the attic door. Inside, she couldn’t see much but outlines of objects scattered around the attic. It was dark and cluttered. Dust floated in the air as they stepped cautiously. Suddenly, something moved in the corner.

‘SPIRIT,’ Adrien bellowed dramatically. ‘REVEAL THYSELF!’

As though answering the call. A rustling from the corner was joined by the faintest shadow stretching across the floorboards. Then the scratching started. Faster and faster, the tapping grew right until it was in front of them.

A raccoon scurried across the floor, followed by two squirrels that leap from the rafters, narrowly missing Adrien. He stumbled back, wide-eyed letting out an ear piercing scream. She couldn’t help the laughter escaping her mouth as she snorted, loud and hard.

‘Oh no! The spirits of… woodland creatures!’ she said, grasping her stomach to try and ease the pain.

“I— I can’t— Marinette! We’ve been haunted by… raccoons?!’ He had barely recovered From his scare, which only made Marinette laugh more.

Tears formed in her eyes, her thumbs pressing hard under her eyes to stop the mascara running and making her one with the raccoon. ‘The ghost of trash pandas past!’

Her laughter, unbelievably, intensified as Adrien started to laugh beside her, moving from slight chuckle to full guffaw in the matter of seconds and causing her to collapse into her knees.

‘How— how did we even get hired for this?! Who calls ghost hunters for animals?!”

Marinette took a couple of deep breaths to calm herself down. ‘I don’t know, but I think we’re going to need a different kind of expertise to deal with these “spirits.”’

The raccoons continued to scurry around as Adrien collapsed onto the floor beside her. As soon as she met his eyes she could hear his shriek play on repeat in her mind causing her to start laughing again, both unaware the camera was still rolling. She fell backwards, leaning against a dusty old trunk as they both dissolved into uncontrollable laughter.

Adrien crawled across the floor and picked up the camera, bringing Marinette’s attention to the red light still on. ‘Ladies and gentlemen, we have uncovered the truth. The noises in the night… were just raccoons trying to open a snack bar.’

‘Next time, let’s make sure our haunted houses don’t come with actual tenants in the attic.’

Adrien snorted, standing up and holding out a hand for her. ‘I’ll call the exterminator… you can call the ghostbusters just in case.’

Adrien turned off the camera just as the raccoon chased the squirrels across the attic, sending them both into a spiral of laughter again. This week they had completely failed to maintain any sort of professional composure—again.
