Window to Your Soul

Sooo - this is just a random thing I wrote some time ago and decided to share, gotta do my part in filling the BKTD tag! HINT OF DABIHAUL!

Currently, he's at the mall with his airheaded boyfriend, Katsuki didn't even know why he let Shouto's asshole of a brother talk him into distracting Half and Half, first of all, he didn't even like the My Chemical Romance reject or his creepy as fuck boyfriend. The only reason he even puts up with them is for Shouto's sake; his boyfriend having what he feels is an unhealthy attachment to his brother. Second of all, the second Shouto spots his brother, the two idiots are going to be inseparable - Icy-Hot is supposed to be his boyfriend God damn it!

KNOCK. KNOCK. KNOCK.

Looking over from the mannequin Shouto is currently looking at, he sees Dabi standing near the shop's window. Rolling his eyes, he turns away from the older man and taps Shouto's shoulder; he'd seen the way Chisaki was scrolling through his phone's feed, meaning he'd already resigned himself to the weird as fuck bromance between the Todobrokis. When Shouto's eyes fall on him, he jerks his head to the shop's entrance. For a moment, Shouto blinks as if he doesn't understand, then looks over - Katsuki sees the exact moment Shouto sees his brother, his eyes widen, and his mouth opens a little in surprise, he turns and fucking runs towards him.

"Wait - !" he calls out.

It's too late. Shouto fucking runs into the glass window. Bounces off and stumbles a little, then realizes there's a fucking window barrier between them. On the other side, Dabi is fucking losing it. And honestly, Katsuki would be laughing too if he didn't feel secondhand embarrassment because this man is his boyfriend. Shouto doesn't look too fazed by the fact that he'd just did the single dumbest shit anyone can do in a mall and finds the door, he runs to his brother and jumps at him, Dabi catching him midair and twirling him around.

Katsuki sighs, "Christ."

He's also the type to stay 10 feet away from you

I mean, keep your germs to yourself ya nasty

No cuddles or kisses or anything that has to do with being in close proximity

Good luck getting even a fist bump (Not that he would normally do that but you know whatever)

He'll give you your meds and your DayQuil or NightQuil but he's gonna be wearin a mask I swear

Todoroki

Being taken care of by this man is pretty sweet

He loves you with all his heart and is willing to run miles just to make you feel better

But honestly, he might mess up here or there

Like he wouldn't heat the soup up properly (Unless you like cold soup)

If you have hot or cold flashes, boom, the instant temperature regulator 3000

Even if it got him sick, he would give you your soft forehead kisses or late-night cuddles

Would 100% get sick right after you get better

Hopefully, this isn't a cycle...

Gumi gets you food that won't make you feel even worse

He gives the gracious gift of water every hour (or any time you finish your current glass)

Warm blankets straight from the dryer, perfectly fluffed pillows, he's got it all ready

Megumi can't cook that well, but he tries because he loves you <3

He'd also get up in the middle of the night if you run out of medicine

Touya Todoroki x Reader

Dabi AU - Happy Todoroki family life.

Summary: You and Touya go to pick up Shoto’s report card and have a chat with him about his grades and how he does in school. Fun shenanigans.

Note: You and Touya are in your 3rd year at UA (about 17/18). Shoto is 8-years-old in his 2nd year of school.

“Where are your parents, Shoto?

“Uhm. I’ll go call them.”

Shoto goes to the corner of the classroom with his emergency cell phone and nervously calls Fuyumi when Natsuo answers.

“Shoooooooo.”

“Hey. Are you and Fuyumi still coming? Everyone else’s parents already showed up.”

“Yeah…..” he lets out a sheepish laugh. “About that.”

Then almost as if on cue, Touya comes into the classroom wearing a fedora, sunglasses, and a fake mustache.

“Oh no,” and he hangs up the phone. Touya gives Shoto a finger gun, pulling down his shades to wink at him. Shoto immediately gets red and drops his head as low as it can go before sprinting over to his desk.

“Hey.” Touya greets the teacher, “I’m here to pick up Shoto Todoroki’s report card.”

The teacher did a quick up down of Touya and rolled her eyes. If Shoto could hide into a shell and never come out, he would.

“Hey!” You come crashing into the classroom, “This place is huge, you can’t just leave me.” You scold Touya. Immediately Shoto sits up, maybe the plan wasn’t completely ruined.

“And who are you.” The teacher said shifting their attention from Touya to you.

“I’m sorry,” you walk up to the teacher and give her a quick bow, “I’m f/n l/n. I was just in the office getting our visitor passes.” You slap Touya’s visitor sticker onto the back of his jacket. “I’m the Todorokis’ nanny. I have a note from Rei Todoroki for me to pick up Shoto’s report card.” You go to reach into your bag, “They apologize for being unable to make it today, something came up at the office that they couldn’t get out.” You grab the slip and hand it to the teacher.

She takes the note giving an unsure eye glance between you and Touya.

“Todorokis’ nanny? Does that mean you take care of him too?”

“I care for all the Todoroki's after school so that they can do all the activities they need to do.”

The teacher looks over the note.

“I'm also an emergency contact for Shoto,” you say “and if you don't believe me, you can go ask the office.”

“Okay,” the teacher hands you his report card, “Here you go. Some notes: Shoto just has some issues speaking up in class. He excels very well on paper but when it comes to wanting to do group projects he just does it himself, he doesn’t work with other kids.”

“There's nothing wrong with that the kid wants to work by himself let him work!”

You elbow Touya hard in the side. He turns and mouths ‘what?’ you give him the ‘shut the fuck up before I kill you’ eyes.

“Who are you?”

“I'm his brother!” He whips off his fedora and sunglasses.

The teacher rolled her eyes, lets out a deep sigh, and rubs her temples. “We are trying to build communication skills.”

“Thank you.” You intervene, “I understand I'll relay the message back to the Todoroki parents. Thank you for your time. Ready Shoto?” you ask looking around the classroom.

“Mhmm.” Shoto was already at your hip with his bag.

“Oh. That was quick. C’mon Touya.” you encouraged, “Thank you for your time.” You wave goodbye, quickly urging the boys out of the room.

“See you tomorrow, Miss Ume!”

And the three of you walk out.

“Where'd you get that note?” Touya asked.

“Fuyumi wrote it out.” You shrug putting away the report card. “Sho, what's wrong your grades are great and you have so many friends.”

“I don't know.”

“Sho.” you give him a stern look.

“I just don’t mom and dad to worry.”

“Well, why’d they worry?”

“I told mom I’d try harder to work with others, but I just feel like I work better by myself. I don't like to speak up because I don’t like the attention on me. I feel like people are gonna make fun of me. It's weird having two quirks.”

“Sho, you want to be a pro-hero. Right?”

“Yeah...”.

“Pro-heroes have to work with all kinds of people so this is just a step to get you used to working with all kinds of people!”

“Yeah, I know.”

The three of you continue to walk.

“I’m just scared.”

Touya stops. “Sho, give me your bag.” He takes it off and hands it to him. “Could you y/n?”

You nod and take his bag and Sho’s.

Touya then lifts Shoto onto his shoulders and continues walking down the street. “Sho, you don’t need to be scared on who you are you're a Todoroki! Be proud of yourself and who you are! Having two quirks is cool! Makes you twice as cool than someone with only one quirk."

"Really?”

“Yeah, your way cooler than me for sure.”

Sho gets quiet and rests his head on Touya’s.

“If anyone messes with you, you got us.” Touya said, “I’ll always have your back little bro.”

“I’ll try harder.”

“You don't need to change right away,” you bring up, “Make small goals and tell us about them.”

“Even tell your teacher about them!”

“Yeah! Good idea Touya! Then it seemed like you talked with your parents and then Miss Ume can see you trying and working towards your goals.”

“Okay.”

“Oh yeah Touya, we need to submit our volunteer hours to the office tomorrow.”

“Oh shit, yeah I’ll need to go through my phone and check how many hours I worked this last month.”

“Yeah and then we need to go over the spring camp plans.”

“Ughhhhh.”

“You signed up for it.” You laugh.

“I know I’m just lazy.”

“I love you guys”

“We love you too, Shoto,” Touya says without missing a beat. "Always."

You guys walked down the street in silence with the sunny spring chill.

“Hey, Big Brother Touya,”

“What's up?”

“Can you please take that off now? You look silly.”

You look over at Touya and realize that he’s still wearing the fake mustache.

“Wha?” Touya touches his face, “I thought I looked charming.”

-Later that Night-

After Shoto goes to bed and you are with the other Todorokis working on school work,

“Kids?” Enji’s voice boomed.

“In here dad!” Natsuo answered.

“Welcome home!” you greet.

They walk into the study room and Rei crosses her arms over her chest. “I’m not mad. I just want to know whose idea it was to wear a fake mustache.” Her eyes don’t leave Touya.

You share quick glances around the room.

When Natsuo spoke up, “I thought it made him look dapper."

This is when Enji’s fire flame mustache was born in this AU!~

Okay I loved your thoughts on Bakugou so could I ask for your thoughts on Dabi in general and on him Todoroki possibly being Todobrokis and Dabi being an older son Endevor abused and tossed aside? (Also side note if this theory ends up true I need Dabi to kill Endeavor take the shot Horikoshi)

disclaimer that i still haven’t read the manga yet so my thoughts only go so far!!

my thoughts on dabi mostly is that i really REALLY like his design but he’s nowhere close to being my favorite villain (like... how can he be when toga exists. he can’t) and since his personality is so dry on its own i’m kind of just sitting here WAITING for some backstory from him so i can like him more because i don’t know really know/remember what his true motives are yet!! i honestly don’t have that much of a grasp of his character besides edgy boi lmfaoghfjks

the todobroki theory is rly interesting! i wonder where it came from, like, if there’s more manga material to fuel it or if i’ve seen all the moments that could suggest it... because i think most people assume that he’s a todoroki because of his powers and that moment he had right before snatching kacchan up, right? really, it just makes me think a lot about superhero society and how everyone’s powers work, like, does endeavor have a monopoly on fire-based powers? can you track all quirks down through family generations? dabi’s powers look pretty damn strong, so did he develop his skills before or after he was ‘tossed aside’ by endeavor?

honestly any quirk-related tragic backstory is my favorite like mm yes talk dirty to me about how people abuse their powers and what they signify in this branch of society it’s great.
