Welcome to the first fanfic posted from my new place of residence! I've been very distracted and stressed getting everything together to move, but there's a lot of stories on my mind. This one I just so happened to finish during part of the road trip.

Fandom: Splatoon

Characters: Callie/Acht (Dedf1sh), Marina

Summary: Grand Festival stirs up a lot of emotions in a lot of different Inklings and Octolings. Follow the exploits of a few such pairings at different stages of their respective relationships!

Part 1 - Marina introduces her friend Acht to someone who will help the Octoling acclimate to life on the surface. Acht doesn't believe Callie would deign to appear without an ulterior motive.

The Octoling's shades obscure how rapidly their eyes start to scan. Callie's hair is mostly covered by a hot pink pompom beanie. However, her dangling twin tentacles blend into the scooping neckline straps of her black tank top, which is only visible through a small window between her netted stitch scarf and thin summer sweater whose right-side folds into a deep 'V' that's reminiscent of a yukata. Both articles are a lighter pink shade. A treble clef hangs from her right ear; a bass clef hangs from her left in three distinct piercings.

Acht rasps: "… You have?"

Anytime he does it makes both pretty happy, his voice is beautiful to 8. It's slightly raspy but sounds addictive to them :>
