#I love macau i love the idea of a healing arc for him

Hey I hate daemi as much as the best of them but let's maybe be a bit mindful in our outrage when talking about characters with suicidal thoughts and not frame it as "Macau wouldn't be so selfish" "his brother's love should have been enough to keep him alive" "Why didn't Vegas do more to save him" etc.

Critique the plot point choice all you like, it's perfectly valid to say "it's upsetting" "it's messed up" "I'm sad and angry that they didn't give this character a chance to heal" even "I'm sad because this character had loads of cool potential and it feels wasted for shock value" but I think within that it's important to make sure we aren't framing suicide as "selfish" and the friends and family of victims as "not doing enough".

What's gonna happen to Vegas and Macau after s2? Vegas rejected Korn's help, I guess now they've been cut out from the family business and Porsche's the leader of the minor family now but let's be honest, right now he's not skilled enough to be a mafia leader (he can definitely learn, but it takes time), he's only there as Korn's puppet. Kinn rules the main family but still follows his dad's orders so basically now Korn rules both families. So how are they gonna live? Did their dad leave them an inheritance or Pete needs to find a new job and provide for them for a while?

god. see a fucked up part of my brain keeps saying to me, what if, for the time being, their only option is to go back and stay at the safehouse ........

bc. like. the safehouse solely belongs to the minor family, and is meant to be a place that only they know about, hence why its called the "safehouse" - a place to go temporarily thats in hiding.

like could you imagine vegas, pete and macau sat together at the hospital and the doctors have said vegas can be discharged soon, and they're thinking about their options. and macau, the poor innocent boy who's got no idea, says "what about the safehouse? why not stay there for abit?" and vegas and pete just ...... freeze up and avoid looking at each other. and macau's observing them both and is just about to ask what all this tension is about when vegas blurts out "no" and pete says "yeah, okay".

and that's when vegas and pete look at each other and vegas' eyes are just screaming "you don't have to do this", but pete just gives him a small reassuring smile and his eyes are there soothing vegas, telling him "it's okay. it's okay. where else can we go, anyway?"

so they stay at the safehouse for a bit, bc what other option do they have? and it isnt easy for vegas or pete. every little thing is a trigger back to their first time there. and some days its vegas who goes over the edge and some days its pete and some days its them both. and its hard fucking work. but together they make it work. they stay there until vegas has fully healed, and then they go from there. maybe they sell the safehouse, and with the money they get from it, they down size, and move back in to the city again.

and yeah, that would mean pete would have to get a job, there's macau's university fees to think about and pay for, bills, food, ya know, all of that daily expenditure. and vegas' ... i guess ... turmoil ?? would begin from there. because .... what is he meant to do now? how does he function like this? and that leads onto the next arc: reclaiming his title again with his 2 boys, pete and macau, by his side.

but that's just ... ya know, me taking it to that extreme. bc why not!!!!! i love the angst it brings. the tension and the emotional turmoil it brings. bc i WANT that for them in s2. and for them to work through their baggage together back in the same place where it all happened for them. idk theres just something very cinemtic parallel and fulfilling about that. and then them selling up that place bc they dont need it anymore. emotionally, they've come round, full circle in that place.

so yeah, that's what i'd personally looooooove to see.
