Eclipse is back?! Ruin got a new body?!

Eclipse is back and Ruin built a new body. I LOVE THEM. THEY HAVE A SWISHY CAPE THING??? A BOW??? and then Eclipse SIR? HE BACK? I just finished him kidnapping Ruin, sir??? that interrogation scene??? Ruin sound different now, like hello? Is he ok? I don't think he's ok. I'm glad Ruin wasn't hurt/actually tortured. I love this funky British robot, he's so cute with his swirly cheeks and heterochromia. I also love Eclipse's design, like he's inverse of Solar? it just looks so neat with his creepy glowing white eyes. He's giving zombie vibes. "Who are you" Hee Hee. I know something gonna happeeennnnnn.

i’ll probably take some time to flesh them out a bit more and go into depth about their relationships with their parents later, but as i’ve worked on them i’ve decided i’m so hyped to make an askblog based around them they’re so silly

Bisexual color scheme let’s go, when Mia adopts him as her little brother he gets one of her magatamas to symbolize his connection to the Fey family. Also bc it confused me as to why she’s depicted with two different colored ones, so she has a spare that she hands off to Phoenix lol.

Close ups bc I wanted to talk some more, firstly the symbolism of the star earring, so the WAA has their own obvious celestial thing going on, Sun- Apollo, Moon- Athena, and so I decided that the Stars- the Wrights. I like leaning into the idea that both him and Trucy are at their core, performers. There’s also the association of luck and wishes that come with shooting stars that I think vibes with him idk.

Also I gave him sectoral heterochromia in the shape of the magatama so it can glow when he uses it and it just looks cool man

One more thing, his hair. I like the idea that when he ate the necklace he didn’t just get scars on his lips from crunching the glass as frantically as he could manage, but the poison left behind bleached his hair and fucked him up a little more than what’s in the games. Also it looks kinda cool. I love permanent effects (physical or otherwise) of traumatic experiences!

Another magatama color but I also wanted to talk about his clothes, the buttons are based off of the sparkle in the ace attorney logo and the buttons on Ryunosuke’s clothes in TGAA

And bc I like connecting characters to each other, the diamond pattern is obvious Trucy coded. I also like the idea that his waistcoat is something of a mix between a corset, a back brace, and a bullet proof vest. I think that would be nice for him. That didn’t do much to change its design I just thought about it.

And so begins my quest of finding whether or not how logical this theory could be.

And well...

I don't think it's a joke anymore lmao.

It really is unsettling how truly similar they are.

In certain ways.

Before we begin, let's clarify something here.

Since AV de-aged reboot Makarov, this theory only make sense if you pair Perseus with the OG Makarov. Why? Because Perseus died of cancer in 1983.

Since we have yet to know how old is the new Makarov, I'm gonna assumed he's around Price's age. At least I hope so. Idk how I'm gonna feel if they decides to make him late 20s. He's gotta be born either in 1985 or younger than that. At least that's what he looks like. So, there's no way Perseus could be his father.

Now, the OG Makarov though......

Let's go through this points by points.

He was born in 1970. October 4th, to be precise (at least according to Soap's journal). There's no indication or mentioned siblings in his record. Parents or whatsoever. I have my own personal HC on this but that's another essay.

Perseus himself doesn't have any canon date of birth and place of birth. Let's assume he was born in, maybe, around the year of 1918. I was gonna go ahead and make him the same age as Adler (1937). But according to this modelling mugshot pose he pulls photo,

If he looks this scrumptious old during 1960, then he's gotta be at least 42 years old. That would make him 52 when baby Mak was born in 1970.

"Isn't he a little old to be a dad at that age?" Uhhh not really. Especially given his situation, my dude was constantly on the move busy doing spy shit all over the world. He was young, patriotic. So, perhaps domestic life wasn't exactly on his mind at the time being or just haven't found the one yet. My guess is, he found someone in 1968/1969 yada yada fall in love yada yada get married yada yada and boom baby Mak was born in 1970. Whether they settled for one kid or more, that's up to your interpretation.

Now, in terms of looks, I don't think they're exactly copy paste. We know that Mak has Heterochromia. Perseus had blue eyes and Makarov's mama must've had green eyes.

If we want to compare their pictures, let's start with in-game model.

Ehhh I'd say they score about 75-80% in terms of appearance alikeness. Big ass forehead? Check ✅️

Now, if you put Perseus real life model and Makarov MW3 model..

Yeah okay score about 95%. Especially the eyebrow scrunch thing.

Perseus was 6 ft'2. Our boi on the other hand was 5 ft'11. My dude did not inherit the tall genes unfortunately.

Perseus and Makarov both had comradeship with Imran Zakhaev.

Zakhaev looked up to Perseus, claiming him to be "a mentor, having played a part in radicalizing his attitude towards the West."

As for Makarov, we know how much he looked up to Zakhaev. He did took him in during the lowest point of his life and gave him a purpose. Something he lost when he was forced to discharge from the military. Zakhaev's protégé. Zakhaev's executioner.

However, Perseus and Mak share one common trait; their methods were frowned upon by Zakhaev.

"Imran, however, soon realized the danger of Perseus's ideas. Believing Perseus's actions would turn the world against the Soviet Union, he prevented Perseus from taking control of a facility in Verdansk, where a chemical agent called NOVA-4 was produced."

"While Zakhaev was grateful to Makarov for saving his life on the day of his assassination attempt, he also kept him in check, possibly due to the fear of Makarov's extreme methods and ambitions, which later proved correct."

It boggles my mind that Zakhaev have the patience to continously kept Makarov's in check for 15 years of their partnership. He's aware of how terrifyingly brutal he is and even though it clearly bothered him, he still kept him around.

This is one of the key points that makes me wonder if Makarov is not just a nobody that he picked off the underworld. Maybe him being Perseus's son is what drives Zakhaev to mentor him and stick with it till the end. Well, at least as long as he could control him. I had no doubt that if Makarov push Zakhaev too far and shows signs of being too out of control, he'll be dead way before Price could wrung his neck.

Speaking of methods,

"Perseus' true plan was to detonate all the American nukes across Europe and have the United States take the fall. Perseus wanted to rebuild Russia from the ashes."

"Makarov's scheme was to initiate the global conflict of World War III, and that was accomplished by massacring a Russian airport and making it look like the US was involved. Later on, he would attempt to nuke all of Europe for Russia to fully invade and rebuild from the ashes."

So in conclusion, it seems that the possibility of them being father and son is really plausible so far.

I was gonna write a blurb but I just. I wanna yap. so you get that instead. (Also I am so SO sorry this took this long to get to you!!)

AJ, as a character, is so COMPLEX. He goes through so many character arcs by the time he's in his early twenties, and his story is far from over at that point.

He relies on his mothers and siblings more than he cares to admit. He relies on his wit and knowledge and when all of that can't help him, he is truly terrified.

Thanks to his godly heritage; his physical appearance has non-human attributes. namely, his eye color and snake-like pupils. He has Heterochromia. His right eye is red, and his left is a dark cyan. (specific, i know, but all my personas have this trait! it's like...my thing) Other than the snake-like pupils, AJ is thin- he stands at about 5'7 in height; and his presence is unsettling, almost. He's always cold, so he's always seen wearing sweatshirts or sweaters. He has talons for nails on his hands, and his teeth are sharper than average.

by the time he's fully grown, he has more non-human traits than human traits. and that, is all thanks to a specific god who took special in AJ.

some of that complexity that I absolutely adore comes from his feelings towards this god. He appreciates the set of abilities given; but he's faced people who's called him terrible names and done terrible things to him just because of something he can't control.

SPEAKING OF THAT, Shout out to AJ's big brother, Marcus. (He's only about a year or so older than AJ)

Marcus has been a recurring character already in SoTFD, but know you're getting to know him from AJ's perspective- you're seeing Marcus from someone who knows him. Marcus, to AJ, is someone he can turn to when he has absolutely no one.

because Marcus grew up being there for AJ. He's said, "If you think you have no one, you're wrong. you have me."

AJ is not the man he is without Marcus. It is VITAL that Marcus is there because if he is not, AJ is not even human anymore. he succumbs to the negative slew of actions and words given by a specific set of people, and he becomes this... inhuman thing. there's no explanation for it other than He'd be better off dead than becoming that.

AJ isn't that though. He's a kid, who adores reading and writing. a kid who's been dealt a rather shit hand of cards, and he's doing everything to make the best of it. He is a momma's boy (despite denying it at every opportunity). He cries at the dog in sad movies. He loves, and feels and he's human. He wants to be a dad, and have a big family, just like the one he grew up in.

His favorite greek myth/epic to read is The Odyssey (yes, he ADORES epic the musical). He's cried over Achilles and Patroclus (yes, he read TSOA, he was inconsolable for WEEKS). This guy's just a guy!!! and I haven't even gotten to his husbands yet! or his sons!

His husbands and sons, though... that's a whole other post for another time. I could talk for hours about them.

Day 17:  Everyone has heterochromia, one eye is your natural color the other is your soulmate’s natural color. Once you meet all eyes return to natural color.

Word count: 732 words

Summary: Logan liked knowing things, so not knowing what color his eyes were - despite seeing them in the mirror ever day - was incredibly strange.

Logan sighed as he looked in the mirror, seeing two different shades of blue staring back at him. He had never seen which color was his natural one, although somewhere deep inside he hoped it was the dark blue. He’d lived his whole seventeen years of life without knowing what color his eyes were.

Yes, that was normal for most people. But he liked knowing everything, all of the time. So not knowing something felt… unsettling. Yes, that was the word. It was unsettling, not knowing something about himself.

He got dressed in his work uniform, black slacks and polo with a splash of color in his blue tie. He stopped by the mirror, thinking of whether he wanted to do anything else.

Yes, he decided, and pulled out his makeup bag. He had been experimenting with makeup for the last few weeks, and slowly had become more and more comfortable with the different colors and powders making their home on his skin.

He chose a few shades of blue to accent his eyes. He usually tried to stay away from making his eyes stand out, as he was vaguely uncomfortable with the heterochromia, but today felt… different, for some reason.

He finished applying the eyeshadow, adding a few last dabs of shimmer on the inside corner of his eyes. He was a little surprised at how much he liked the way this looked – it was definitely something he’d remember for another time.

As Logan drove to his job – a barista at a coffeeshop because that was all a broke college student could get right now – he sighed, thinking about his soulmate. He didn’t usually think about them, but focusing on his eyes so much this morning had made him think.

Was this person going to be openly emotional, or more repressed like Logan? Would they enjoy jokes or more deadpan humor? What would their life goal be? How would they connect with Logan? When would he meet them?

He was surprised when he pulled into the parking spot. He grabbed his bag, with his laptop and notebooks, and entered the coffeeshop.

“Hello,” he called to his coworker, Virgil. There were a few people in the shop, scattered around the tables. Most of them were on their computers – probably students, based on the general sleep-deprived feeling coming from them.

Virgil nodded to him, continuing the drink that he had been working on. Logan tied an apron around his neck, hearing the door chime as another patron entered.

“One moment, please,” he called out as he clocked in. He turned around to face the person who had entered. They were wearing a blue polo similar to Logan’s own, with tan khakis and a gray cardigan tied around their shoulders. They turned around, and Logan noticed that their glasses frames looked identical to his own.

“Hi,” the other person greeted him, meeting his eyes. Logan caught his breath as he saw their dark blue eye fade to a lighter blue.

“Oh,” he said.

The other person gasped. “Hi,” they said again. “My name’s Patton. He/him.”

Logan smiled, holding his hand out to shake Patton’s. “Logan. He/him.”

Logan was startled out of staring at Patton by a voice. “Seriously? I was just ready to get off my shift, and now you want to hang out with your soulmate.”

“Oh, I can wait until you’re done-!” Patton said, glancing quickly between Logan and Virgil.

“I get off at seven,” Logan said. “We can meet outside the café and plan from there?”

Patton nodded excitedly. “That sounds nice.”

“What do you want to feed your caffeine addiction, then?” Virgil said, hip-checking Logan out of the way of the register.

Patton giggled. “Just a hot chocolate, and a raspberry muffin. I don’t like coffee – it’s too bitter,” he mock-whispered to Logan, who was still grinning absurdly largely.

Logan set to work making the hot chocolate, sneaking little peeks up at Patton. Maybe he was overly interested in this other man, but he didn’t really care.

As Logan handed the hot chocolate to him, Patton leaned in closer than was maybe appropriate.

“I love your eyes,” he whispered in Logan’s ear, making him freeze. Patton danced back from the counter, his light blue eyes sparkling with amusement.

Logan touched the corner of his formerly light blue eye, his expression softening.

He’d always wondered what color his eyes actually were.

i can't think of anything else tbh so i'll just jot down whatever comes to mind first. jose doesn't listen to music bc it reminds him of sirens (NOT LIKE THE ONES ON AMBULANCES but like the mythology one) and it kinda. terrifies him. so one night we were just vibing in our bedroom and i offered my hand to him and said "let's dance" and he looked at me like "???? but there's no music" but i shook my head and said it's ok bc i know how music unsettles him. he eventually stood up and we started to slow dance together 💕 i think i even had to teach him how to do it properly bc he has. never danced before. which makes it even more romantic OH i'm gonna melt 😭💗

i started this in like october and was gonna do EVERY CHARACTER but since it’s been sitting in my drafts for five months, it’s time to accept that’ll never happen and just post what i’ve got lol

by popular demand singular suggestion and because i’m procrastinating: rating hades characters. spoilers below.

ZAGREUS: the all-time best boy. his ratio of snarky to respectful is ideal. i love a man with that level of determination and skill. he loves animals, based on loving his dog and trying to pet wildlife (to his detriment). he hates his job and can’t take instruction to save his life, which means he’s relatable. his jokes are groan-inducing, occasionally painfully so. who doesn’t love a man with heterochromia? smarmy face that you hate to love. he doesn’t know what birds are and he decided to escape from an inescapable place with absolutely no plan whatsoever so i’m tentatively categorizing him as a himbo. 10/10.

HADES: first impression: i would kill you with my bare hands if i could. i became more sympathetic as i got to know his motivations and his tragedy, and i do love that he’s his wife’s doormat. one time i got hit the moment the timer started in erebus and he barely managed to sputter “immediate failure!” through laughter, and couldn’t taunt me at the end because he was cracking up. he’s hot because he’s like 20 feet tall and beefy, but i can’t forgive the child abuse and the all around shit personality. 3/10, at least he’s starting to try.

NYX: the perfect mom. she could definitely lift a chariot off of her children when they get run over, or just in general (but why else would she?). she supports her children even in dangerous endeavors that risk drawing the ire of her shitty kind-of husband. gorgeous, elegant, and soft spoken, but might kill you if you fuck up too bad. i hesitate to say “MILF” but i know a lot of you are thinking it, so it’s worth addressing. the goth in me is going apeshit over her aesthetic, but i keep laughing at the skulls on her chest piece that look like they’re vomiting and distraught about it. 10/10. please adopt me.

CHARON: i love characters with masked/obscured faces, and he’s creepy as fuck to boot, so it was instant approval from me. the hurgling is both unsettling and mysterious. love the sun hat. is he vaping? is his soul slowly escaping out of his mouth?? obviously loaded, which would be a plus if he planned on sharing any of it, but he’ll beat your ass if you ask. 9/10, a point for each finger he uses to hold his paddle. seriously, go look closer.

CHAOS: not much for conversation, which i understand and respect. love the unsettling voice work. i love how you think “yeah, they basically look like everyone else” at first glance, but if you look lower than their chest you become filled with cosmic dread. i’m not allowed to have too much of an opinion because i rarely accept their boons after tartarus, but i do think they’re dope as fuck. 7/10, love the amalgamation of faces that comprise 75% of their body as a design choice, but it also makes me real nauseous.

MEGAERA: “mark me down as scared and horny!” ...say 100% of the posts i’ve seen about her. (we get it. you’re into BDSM.) still, i won’t try to deny that she’s cool as hell. the high ponytail, the bright lipstick, the spike earrings and studded pauldrons... high fashion. she will gossip about you to her bff, who is a floating head, which makes me think she’s fun off the job as long as you’re not zagreus. i thought she was excessively cold at first, but she kind of just hates her job, her family, and her dumbass ex-boyfriend, so i started to feel for her. i’m depressed, too, girl. 8/10, please be nicer to me.

ALECTO: completely unhinged. wants to hurt you, but not in a way that’s fun for you. she scares me and makes me uncomfortable. 3/10, and 2 of the points are for the alarmingly suggestive line she prompted from zagreus the last time i fought her.

THANATOS: heartbroken emo dude. his edginess is off the fucking charts. when i was a teenager, i would’ve lost my goddamn mind over this guy. the god of death, but it’s just his job - he takes it seriously but isn’t creepily passionate about it, which is quite the refreshing change from other depictions of gods of death. the eyeballs on his weapons are dope as fuck, but the skull on his belt looks like that tom the cat meme. i’m gay so you know i’m all about the pining and he’s got pining in spades. got some abandonment issues, don’t you, bud? it’s okay. it’s all gonna be okay. 9/10, want to give him juice and tell him zag will come around.

HYPNOS: i love him. i genuinely love him. he’s an obnoxious shit starter, he’s snarky, he’s lazy, he’s completely unhelpful, but he’s goddamn hilarious about it and i’m weak for brats with shitty personalities. i wish my hair was that fluffy. why does your sleep mask have eyes on it? you’re not fooling anybody. i choose to believe that his quilt-cape is a weighted blanket and that when you enter the house and hypnos is nowhere to be found, it’s because the blanket fell off and he floated off somewhere in his sleep. 10/10, would invite him to a party just to see which of my friends throws the first punch.

Anyway.

I have two OCs that have made their way onto this blog. Actually, that’s a lie. One has made it onto this blog and the other one is waiting to make his debut in a fic I have coming out…eventually.

First one is Luna

(Not my art. I commissioned it. Support artists!) 

She’s not an One Piece OC, but she lends herself to an AU I have going on where One Piece characters are either strippers (Zoro, Sanji, Franky (former), Shanks (former, Zoro and Sanji’s boss), drag queens/kings (Usopp, Robin, Luna, Boa Hancock, Ivankov), or in burlesque (also Robin, Perona, and formerly Vivi). It’s called the Performance AU and it’s my excuse to be as self-indulgent and campy as I want. She’s originally a drag queen and she wanted to come out to play. She’s trans, Japanese, and a busy bee. And a little bit of a mess.

She also has a crush on thirsts after a good portion of the cast. Drag name is Sakura Sunrise. She comes with a set of friends that haven’t made their way into the Performance AU, but know that she comes from a set.

She shows up in a fic I wrote for the Performance AU. If you feel like reading it, here are Parts One and Two.

And then there’s Casey. I don’t have art of him. He’s a recent creation, came to me one night when I woke up and couldn’t fall back asleep and my mind started wandering. And I can’t say what his role is in the fic I have coming up because it’s important to the story and what happens with Zoro and Sanji. But you’re gonna get a bunch of information about him and his family that might not even make it into the fic itself, so this is a good excuse.

His full name is Montgomery Casey. He has bright red hair and golden eyes. He could have ended up with green eyes because I had a hard time deciding between green and gold, and his eye color kept switching when I pictured him, but I decided that gold eyes suit him better because he’s a bit of a little shit. And yellow eyes can be unsettling. 

Which he’s well aware of. Fits his devil look. Because his older brother calls him a devil. But in a mischievous kind of way. 

Speaking of his brother, Casey comes from a rather large family. He has two dads (Montgomery Arden and Montgomery Castor), an older brother (Braden, the oldest), and an older sister (Juno, the middle child). His dads used a surrogate for their three children, a close friend of Arden’s named Dimitria. The kids call her Auntie Dimi because Arden and Castor are their parents who raised them, but Dimitria’s always been an important presence in their lives, and she’s family.

All three Montgomery siblings have vibrant red hair from Dimi. Juno has a mane of curls that run down her back. She also has heterochromia: one gold eye, one green eye. No-nonsense kind of lady. Runs a tavern, has three kids. I don’t have much on Braden. He’s just a big, tall guy who works as a fisherman.

Casey’s the baby of the family. He’s around Zoro and Sanji’s age and he’s used to getting away with whatever he wants, but he’s also a sneaky bastard who’s pretty good at skirting around consequences. He loves having a good time and is upfront about the things he wants. He also has boundless energy and is fun to party with if you like having someone show you a good night around town.

He’s also three inches shorter than Zoro and Sanji, but makes up for the height difference with his boots. This means he likes rocking a thick high heel that lesser men make fun of him for. And it’s not even that he as a complex about his height. He just likes the shoes. Casey does what he wants, wears what he wants, goes after what (and whom) he wants.

As for that boundless energy, Casey channels that through an active lifestyle and getting into trouble. He’s muscular, but he has a leaner frame like Sanji or Usopp. He surfs, does mixed martial arts, and other outdoor stuff. Will wake up early in the morning and go for a run, come back to shower, and drink two cups of coffee before you even get out of bed.

So. Red hair. His spikes up, but it’s not sharp. It’s kind of soft and resembles a flower. Sanji calls him Lotus Head, which doesn’t bother him because he’s never heard that one before. So used to being called Red and other nicknames relating to his hair. Juno’s sick of being called Firecracker (she has a temper). If Casey were to appear in a more visual medium (as in drawings or if he were actually in an anime), his hair would stand up or flatten for comedic effect based on his mood. If he wore it down it would be a little past his shoulders.

So the Montgomery siblings get their names because their dad Castor is a bit of a geek. Braden and Casey have Irish names like Arden; Juno has a name out of mythology like Castor and even Dimitria. Because Dimitria is another spelling of Demetria, which comes from the Greek goddess Demeter. Castor, when he and Arden first approached Dimi to ask her if she would be their surrogate, insisted that it was a sign that this was meant to be. He’s romantic like that.

Casey isn’t a devil fruit user, having lived a pretty idyllic life, but he can take care of himself. He can fight and he knows his way around a weapon. I won’t say what kind of weapon or what he does with it because that would ruin the surprise. Let’s say Zoro is…appreciative. But I can say he’s a hobbyist and his interest comes from a old woman whom he admired very much. (It’s not swords before anyone asks.)

That’s it for now. You can find out more about Casey in the fic I have planned. He’s not showing up in the next fic I have lined up, but the one after that. I tried not to ship him with Zoro. I really tried. But I gave in and now I ship him with Zoro and Sanji because that’s just how I operate haha. (Also @lesbian-space-ranger helped with that and also helped by asking questions that further developed him.)

Mariko is the fusion between Hitoshi Shinsou and Amy Martinez.

Amy learns a new spell that allows her and an ally (or two or more) to come together and form one new entity as a means to use combined powers/abilities to become stronger and win a battle quicker. Yes it was inspired by Steven Universe I wanted to implement that since fusing two different characters is fun!

So naturally, Amy tries it out with no one other than her childhood best friend Shinsou, her closest friend who’s known her the longest and thus knows what to expect from her. He doesn’t really want to at first but decides what the hell, and starts dancing with Amy. Their dance is… goofy to say the least but they’re having a lot of fun doing it, and when they bump hips is when their bodies and powers blend and they form a fusion for the very first time.

The two are initially confused but excited, and the entire class is awed and shocked, with Kaminari dubbing them as 'Mariko' because it's a pretty name and draws from Amy's excitable personality and Shinsou's frank personality.  Ecstatic, Mariko gleefully tries out what kind of abilities she has but also showcases what happens when you combine Amy’s personality with Shinsou’s personality. Ergo she has all of Amy and Shinsou’s best traits, as well as their worst ones.

Mariko goes by ‘she/her’ pronouns as Amy decided that the fusion would go by feminine pronouns and Shinsou was fine with that. She has very wild hair that is a result of Shinsou’s own messy hair, styled in Amy’s pigtails but they are very poofy with pink bows tying them together. Her hair color is teal and she appears to have sectoral heterochromia as she Amy’s amber eyes but one of her eyes has an iris that is dark purple like Shinsou’s eyes. Mariko has both Shinsou’s tall and lithe figure with Amy’s chubbier features, but retains some muscle from Shinsou. She has the appearance of a youthful young adult in college although her cutesy and childish demeanor can confuse people as well.

At first glance, Mariko appears calm and collected albeit somewhat spacy, but she’s only innocent in appearance and she’s actually a complete wild child. She’s giggly and somewhat easily excitable by things she loves especially if it’s Brendon Urie as she turns into a jumping, cheerful fangirl whenever she thinks of him, and becomes a softie whenever she sees a cat. But she has a dark sense of humor much like her two counterparts and loves to get reactions out of them. Mariko is also opinionated and unapologetic and does whatever she wants without a care in the world what people think of her, most likely stemming from Amy’s feminism and rebellious nature and Shinsou’s blasé and blunt nature coming together.

However, Mariko is also a little bit of a psycho as she cracks unsettling smiles and likes to make references to disturbing or creepy things and/or imagery and has no problem scaring the shit out of Amy and Shinsou’s classmates. But because of Amy and Shinsou’s wicked senses of humor, Mariko finds it hilarious and often laughs at other’s misfortunes. Mariko is especially relentless when it comes to using magic and brainwashing to trick others and make them get into compromising and humiliating positions such as making Midoriya strip to his underwear and dance in front of Ashlen and the girls, making Iida put his hand on Yaoyorozu’s chest, making Ojiro lick their boots and making Tokoyami eat bread crumbs off the floor.  

Which shows that Mariko is capable of being cruel and sadistic. That being said though, angering Mariko is actually a bad idea, while she can maintain her composure, it can easily snap and she becomes a force to be reckoned with but chooses to toy with opponents before she finishes them off.

Despite the meanness, Mariko still has Amy and Shinsou’s better traits as Mariko does actually have a big heart full of real compassion and sympathy even if she reserves it for certain people, she has a big heart. She wants to do, she wants to be a hero and can show kindness to others such as Ashlen and Kaminari, people she is both close to and adore. Ashlen in particular, the one that Mariko loves the most, can make her act decently as Mariko can and does actually apologize for the meaner things she did. Although she does burst into tears when she thinks she made her mad, as both Amy and Shinsou tend to get emotional when it comes to Ashlen. And Mariko is emotional, she’s not afraid to show her emotions even though she can easily bottle them up to, especially since Amy and Shinsou are both Cancers and have a lot of feelings. Although this can also show when Mariko falls into sadness and is prone to self-pitying and crying alone whenever Amy and Shinsou are feeling upset or guilty. 

A stable fusion due to Amy and Shinsou’s close friendship, it becomes difficult to make them unsynchronize since they enjoy being themselves with each other and Mariko likes being HERSELF, which may indicate the close but somewhat co-dependent relationship between Amy and Shinsou. When Mariko remains fused for 12 hours, Kaminari suggests that they go on a date with Ashlen as Mariko, but due to their shared love for Ashlen, the fusion still doesn’t unfuse since her two counterparts liken it to just hanging out like normal. 

Although, it turns out that they can defuse when they reach a disagreement particularly about what KIND of dates and then when Kaminari suggested to invite Bakugo too, Amy was ecstatic but Shinsou wasn’t so willing at all. This is what finally enabled Amy and Shinsou to come apart and return to their individual selves. In the aftermath, Amy and Shinsou agree that it was awesome, but that they both a high out of fusion due to the stability with Shinsou saying that fusing with Amy made him feel stronger and Amy admitting that she felt more validated fusing with Shinsou. Nonetheless, the two agree to only fuse again if a necessary time approaches.

When it came to powers, Mako was shown to be very powerful due to having six of the seven wonders of magic along with Shinsou’s Brainwashing Quirk. And since Amy has a mind controlling power Concilium that is a lot like Brainwashing, but stronger, Mariko is a mind master and can control, bend and break ANYONE’s mind if they are fighting her. Amy and Shinsou’s powers however they form a new power called ‘Dollification’ which allows Shinsou’s brainwashing to come together with Amy’s magic and control the motor functions of their opponents and use them as their dolls, and they can even turn their opponents into dolls. However, due to Amy’s Concilium, they can keep their opponents full conscious while they’re fighting each other or while they are turned into dolls, purely as a means for cruelty though on Mariko’s part. This new power is likely a reference to Mariko’s own doll-like appearance.

So with that, Mariko is definitely quite a powerful fusion and a difficult opponent to fight in battle due to her variety of powers and exception mind control.

Eye Colour Headcanons

Okay, this is a small list on eyecolours and their descriptions of various One Piece characters, the kind that I imagine when writing more detailed responses. It’s just personally what I think they would look like and you’re most welcome to comment, request or even add your own additions if you feel like it. I may add to the list as time goes on, because there are so many great characters both hero, villain and somewhere in-between that all look so unique so enjoy I guess!

Straw Hats

Monkey D. Luffy; Jet. Actually a very dark brown, but they almost seem to look as though they’re portals to another dimension at times. When Luffy’s enemies look into his eyes, the last thing they see coming is the encoming void - and of the world of pain he’s about to unleash on their day. Warm when happy. Roronoa Zoro; Hazel. The outer rings are a paler shade of green compared to his hair, but the rings around those irises resemble pale flames of gold. Actually very pretty eyes that seem to glow when eager for battle, gleaming with an almost wolf-like hunger. Alternates between warm and cold tones. Nami; Green. They look almost like peridots and sparkle like them too whenever the woman is happy or her gaze captivated by the allure of treasure, her eyes resembling the gems she so loves. Warm to the colour, with subtle hints of gold and emerald in bright light. Sanji; Blue. These are some of the bluest eyes you’ll ever see, matching the summer skies and ocean waves in their intensity. Despite the ‘cool’ tones, there’s a warmth to these baby blues, with strong hints of sapphire and diamond ringing his irises to define his gaze. Soft and dreamy-looking, especially when smoking while gazing out to sea. Usopp; Brown. Much warmer and brighter than Luffy’s eyes, Usopp’s have all sorts of colours going on, ranging from russet to sand and honey! Sometimes there are hints of green and gold, making for some very striking stares in the crew. Intensely warm and earthy, pleasant to look at. Chopper; Brown. Brighter than Luffy’s but not as bright as Usopp’s. There’s still a hint of Chopper’s reindeer heritage in those eyes, the slightly angular pupils giving his animal nature away despite the human range of colours to match his original eyes. Hints of gold on occasion, marbling around those irises in strange patterns. Robin; Violet. Usually appearing blue in most ranges of light, sometimes there’s a violet tint to this woman’s gaze not seen in many other people. Sharper than Sanji’s eyes with a warm hint of amethyst, both purple and white that ring nicely around her irises. Franky; Silver. After Vegapunk ‘adjusted’ his body, Franky’s natural eye colour changed, from a deep blue-hazel to a near silver. They seem like they’d look cold, but Franky’s personality shines through, leading to his eyes appearing almost like diamonds. Sometimes on sunny days, you can see the faintest hint of blue they used to be. Uncanny to strangers, very intense and bright. Brook; Eyes? What eyes? He lost them long ago, yohohoho! They were probably a lovely shade of russet back when he was alive, looking almost like the warm-coloured wood of mahogany that makes for fine quality instruments. Subtle hints of warmer colours like red-orange.

Worst Generation

Eustass Kid; Orange. Most people would argue he has amber or brown eyes, but there’s a brightness to Kid’s eyes that beats either of those two colours. The blazing ring around his irises drown out the paler outer ring of gold, the redness seeming almost like the blood he spills or the colour of his hair. If dragons walked amongst men, this man would have those very same eyes, relentless and cruel in their savagery. Cold despite their warmth. X Drake: Cornflower Blue. Sanji might have the bluest eyes but Drake comes a close second, his eyes almost as blue as the flowers mentioned. There’s a softness in his gaze, distant and cold yet bright at the same time as though sad, hints of white marking out his irises. Very focused stare, piercing and cool. Trafalgar Law; Stormy Grey. These are the eyes that resemble a cold winter sea, rarely showing the hidden tones of blue and green amidst the darkness. While they usually look cold to others, sometimes when Law is really happy or looking at people he loves, they brighten to a colour that’s almost silver-blue. Intense and wild, with a calculating stare that’s almost leopardish.

Warlords of the Seven Seas/Others

Donquixote Doflamingo; Amber/Gold. They’re ‘brighter’ than his brother’s eyes but somehow there’s a coldness to them as well. Hints of green at times, especially when seen in bright light. Personally I headcanon that Doffy is actually blind in one eye, so only his good eye looks like this. The other is much paler except when using Conqueror’s Haki. No matter which eye you look at however, there’s a viciousness to them should you ever look past the sunglasses. Donquixote Rosinante; Amber. Almost honey-like in their warmth and intensity, they are a very pretty colour, the kind that draws stares from the people walking by - especially when outside in the sunlight without his shades. Hints of spice and orange at times, absolutely soft and dreamy. Sir Crocodile; Amber/Cognac. They are really warm in colour, looking almost orange in their intensity and tend to resemble the sunset over Alabasta. Hints of warm cognac and honey, the kind of eyes you could lose yourself in because they draw you in so much. Personally I like to imagine they were brighter when he was young, seeming almost gold in their intensity. Warm colours but somehow always hungry in their intensity. *Passenger Khare; Mixed*. Having central heterochromia has given her two distinct eyes colours - an amber ring primarily surrounding her irises with a outer ring of blue concealing them. Since consuming her Devil Fruit, the amber has taken on a richer tone, almost resembling fire when transformed. Unsettling gaze even when relaxed, looking both warm and cold at the same time. Cat-like as a dragon.

Names: Dean Williamson and Jason Bishop | Genders: Male | Ages: Dean is 32 and Jason is 34 | Heights: Dean is 5'0" and Jason is 7'5" | Species/Race: Humans | Eye Colors: Dean's eye color is Forest Green (both their eye colors are going to be for their meanings mostly), and Jason has heterochromia- his left eye is Steel Gray, his right eye is Shadow Black. | Hair Colors: Dean's is Ginger (his hairstyle is a messy undercut), and Jason's hair color is black (and his hairstyle is an extreme spiky quiff) | Appearances: Dean l o v e s hoodies, he has a full collection of hoodies and its about all he wears tbh, his main hoodie is one that has the words "Fuck Off" written on the front and "Fuck You" on the back of it, he wears some ripped blue jeans to go along with it- most of his pants are ripped and the non-hoodie clothing is also ripped mostly (thats not the reason he mainly wears hoodies tho, their just more comfy ya know?), he also wears combat boots as well (oh and as a bonus he also loves tank tops- he just wears hoodies more), whenever he DOES wear his tank tops however- he usually has white bandages wrapped around his wrists and down his arms a bit (you know- like how some of those wrestlers wear sometimes), he's not SUPER muscular but you can tell he works out for sure, he also has a lot of scars on him- nothing TOO prominent- it just looks like he got into a lotta fights mostly (and of course, he has a circle beard that matches his hair color) Jason usually wears tank tops mostly, his jeans either have chains hanging down them or their ripped jeans, and of course combat boots as well- sometimes if he REALLY feels like it, he'll put on a... "fancier" outfit, those outfits are usually leather jackets with spikes on them, black fingerless driving gloves (ya know those ones that expose the fingers for one obvs but also they kinda reveal the knuckles too), the pants stay the same in both his main and secondary outfits tbh, he has a full beard, and oh BOY does this man look strong- he looks like he can easily lift a thousand pounds (not that GROSS OVERLY muscle-y look either btw just wanna make that v clear but he just looks- Idk- is beefy the right term to use? Lmao- you can tell I dont know shit bout exercise or any terms), he also has a TON of scars on him even on his face, he's covered almost head to toe in scars- big boy's been through a lot. | Personalities: Dean is a rough rowdy boy who won't take shit from anyone even IF he knows they could easily kick his ass, absolutely against authority- don't tell him what to do and stay out of his way while he's doing it or else he'll mess you up! He LOVES to fight tbh in general so sometimes he'll go picking a fight for just no reason if he's bored enough that is, he l o v e s to cause trouble and honestly hearing people scream in frustration at what he did or caused is always funny, he likes to pull "pranks" on people as well to frustrate them further, honestly you might as well consider him a masochist at this point because he seems to enjoy pain well enough, absolutely without a d o u b t LOVES mindless carnage, p much a bad boy? like jfc- this dude needs to seriously chill out, he's not a fair fighter either so you better believe he'll use weapons if he gets the chance. (tl;dr: Rough rowdy boy, will not take shit from anyone even if he knows they could beat him up, "Fuck authority and fuck your rules I do what I want bitches", loves a good brawl for sure- he is DTF 24/7 (Down to Fight lmao I couldnt resist), has some v e r y prominent masochistic and hell even SADISTIC tendencies at this point, loves to prank people and watch them grow more frustrated, loves frustrating people in general tbh, needs to chill but he won't, an absolute dirty fighter and he WILL use weapons against someone if he can, mindless carnage is his J A M, he does have a soft side however, but uh, his "Soft side" is only for ONE person and one person only h e h) Jason is.... pretty opposite of Dean, he doesn't start fights for the hell of it but uh he definitely won't take shit from nobody if they even dare mess with him or especially Dean, people don't usually mess with him anyways tbh- their too terrified bc he's s o tall and beefy looking that it intimidates people- not to mention the look he usually has on his face- he scowls a lot which just adds to the intimidation factor, he's pretty quiet most of the time (wow completely opposite of Dean in that regard, Dean is a LOUD BOI), he might look all intimidating and scary but honestly, that's because.... He absolutely is, he WILL snap your neck like a twig if you mess with him or god forbid Dean, he only has a soft side for o n e man, and it should be obvious by now lmao, a loner type mostly, you can usually find him in the back because its dark and quiet, now I won't say he doesn't have sadistic urges sometimes bc he absolutely does- he just has good self restraint ...most of the time anyways... he's not really a masochist but honestly he must have a HIGH pain tolerance because he BARELY reacts when someone punches or even cuts him. Nevermind...", usually hangs out in the background somewhere- where its quiet n dark p much, loner type BUT the only person he really likes hanging out with is Dean despite how annoying the little punk can be sometimes, definitely has some sadistic urges but his self restraint can be a great deal of help when those urges come around, not a masochist at all he just has a HIGH pain tolerance and doesn't even flinch at anything hardly, hell most of the time the most he'd do is s t a g g e r a bit if ya hit him with a weapon that is or run into him) | Side Facts: I will say, Dean and Jason DO fight each other a lot, arguments and even physical stuff BUT- lemme make it clear, they'd never hurt each other TOO badly, they just love to rough each other up a bit sometimes, its fun to them and they never have any hard feelings against each other about it- bc they do both love to fight, I mean- that dont mean they don't get salty if one beats the other in a fight, they do know self control and restraint when fighting each other however- they'd n e v e r ACTUALLY cause serious damage, they just a couple o' rowdy boys who are super fucking gay for each other. Yep. you heard me, the truth is out- Dean has a crush on Jason, and Jason has a crush on Dean- BUT... They don't actually know it, like sure- they know one another won't seriously hurt each other which both of them respect each other for that, but Jason doesn't know Dean has a crush on him, and Dean doesn't know Jason has a crush on him especially, I mean hell- Jason looks like he barely has any emotion and the only time he does is when he CAN cause some mindless carnage or destruction- most of the time he just looks pissed off. Truth be told, this is the only time they've ever r e a l l y been afraid tho... like, Dean's scared to tell Jason his feelings bc what if Jason rejects him or for some reason gets really pissed and p much leaves him there all alone, he just has a lot of fear and anxiety over this kinda thing, and Jason... he doesn't think Dean will feel the same and just make fun of him for that like "lmao your g a y? Gross dude" (listen, let's get one thing straight, first of all- their not, second of all- Dean IS an asshole BUT he's not THAT kinda asshole lmao) so Jason's got some fears of this too their just significantly different than Dean's- so if ANYONE of them tells each other bout the feelings, it'll probs be Dean firsthand- Jason's just gonna keep quiet of that in fear Dean'll make fun of him for this kinda feeling, especially towards h i m- its essentially just two dudes who's super gay for each other but terrified to tell each other about the other's feelings n shit. In Dean's spare time he usually chills out well, anywhere he really wants too (he can honestly be super chill, like MORE SO than usual when Jason's around and he knows it), but he'll usually kick back and relax and listen to some music on his phone- his favorite genre is heavy metal, punk rock, or just anything rock in general mostly- he better be glad he has headphones bc Jason would probably become v e r y irritated hearing that loud music all the time, or if music doesn't appeal to Dean at the moment- he'll watch some videos instead- he doesn't do m u c h in his spare time aside from those and well, most of the times he'll work out with Jason- which even tho Dean can be loud most of the time, Jason seems to, well from Dean's perspective- he "tolerates" his presence p much. In Jason's spare time he usually just hangs out in "the back" he likes the darker areas and the much more quiet areas, usually whenever he's got spare time he works out a L O T- along with Dean, who again, this is from Jason's perspective now- Jason actually loves having Dean around to work out with, its nice in a way... Aside from work outs, he'll sometimes read some books, listen to some music of his own, orrr watch videos on his phone as well, there is ONE thing he does aside from that though... He loves to find and collect certain items that he k n o w s he could make weapons out of, at first, Dean didn't understand why the fuck Jason was collecting all this junk but he didn't dare question it, but after a long while... Jason had came out from his little area and he gave Dean a few weapons, ranging from a baseball bat to a knife- which, Dean- he actually genuinely smiled- not that shit eating grin that's usually plastered on his face but a genuine smile came from this boy, he... he absolutely loved those weapons- he treats them fondly too even to this day.
