Colin played a part in bringing Daphne and Simon together by virtue of speaking with Daphne and telling her about the duel, then also pushed Anthony and Kate together during the Pall Mall game, leading to them having a genuine moment away from prying eyes. And in his own love story, he was the one who took actions and pursued Penelope, he only needed a little nudge from his mother and later Kate, but he embraced his story with open arms. He's always been Eros, and I do hope he continues to be for future seasons, nudging the next leads into the right direction. Just a lover boy, who wants all his siblings to experience the same kind of love.

Edit: Also in both instances he willingly broke society rules to get them together. Women were not permitted on duel grounds and he still escorted Daphne to it. And of course an unmarried lady and a gentleman should never be alone without a chaperone even if one of them is considered a spinster and yet he used Anthony's and Kate's competitiveness to his advantage to force them alone. And I don't think I need to list all the ways he broke society rules with Penelope lol

Tries to get into what is absolutely not a treasure vault in a known haunted castle because, checks notes, what if there’s a giant gold statue of an eagle fighting a horse. Apologises to said door for getting mad. He’s in a *it’s complicated* with an extremely hot warrior queen, even though he’s a walking disaster. She knows he’s got a heart of gold beneath that disaster energy. He tells lies that nobody believes. Resorts to slapping in a fight. Suggests making out with a lad who is so head over heels for the chosen one he’d jump off the edge of the world for her and a lesbian. His first name is Thraxus. Nobody uses it

Every day I wake up and say thank you to Supermassive for making John a creative writing professor instead of a history teacher in particular or anything else. It would have been really easy for them to just go with history and no one would ever question it, but instead they gave my man an art and imagination and self-expression and varied interests so we couldn't get stuck on the (false) stuffy history buff stereotype ❤

Well, it took him a little longer than "normal" to think about his sexuality, of course -like everyone else- he grew up thinking he would be straight, like girls and that was it. But, he never expected to have a relationship, both because he felt uncomfortable with the idea of ​​being physically and emotionally intimate with someone and also because he didn't think anyone would like him because of his more reclusive and sometimes weird way.

Maybe he never paid attention, or it was just because he never had any kind of friends his age until he moved away, but he definitely likes boys. After meeting new people, he realized that maybe being obsessed with kpop idols and actors was indicative of this, he just never realized it.

These 'obsessions' were a little repressed, since his father always repressed any behavior of his that was "out of the norm", so he only kept it online, watching videos, reading fanfics and even having fan accounts. (he is just like us guys)

He does like physical intimacy, but very rarely. Its fun sometimes, but mostly he prefers not to, he needs to be really in the mood and have a perfect day to it to go right, and he would only do it with someone he really loves (which he doesnt think will ever gonna change) so maybe he falls into the demi or ace sprectrum? he is not sure neither am I
