oooh okay since i talked about someone nice in the last one ill go a little worse route here asdfghjk. ill talk about one of jensens exes, kateri, who literally broke his heart and crushed his soul

kateri, kat for short, didnt have the easiest upbringing. shes honestly a nice person, shes approachable, but she has some serious issues when it comes to staying with the same people (friends, relationships, family, anything really). she can be manipulative to get her way, and only prioritizes herself when it comes to worst-case scenario

she grew up around a lot of drug use from her parents, and definitely raised herself and her younger brother. shes always been mature for her age, and once she was off at college and her brother was safe with extended family, she was ready to let go and finally do what she wanted

unfortunately, jensen was in that same sort of situation. they met after one of his shows, and hit it off right away. they stayed at the bar and talked until it was closing time, and by then jensen was pretty much head over heels. she,, was not

he was nice and easy to flirt with, but beyond that she didnt really care. they went on a few dates and he was worth keeping around for the time being. i think deep down she did like him, but she knew it would never go anywhere. it was nice to have someone capable for companionship, someone she could call if it all went to shit at 2 AM. but, she could never love him like that. she was always waiting for something to go wrong, an excuse to break it off or a reason to move on to the next person, and she never had the heart to tell him that

she also knew he wouldve done just about anything for her, and didnt feel bad using that to her advantage. she had always focused mostly on school, and if jensen was willing to help cut out some of the extra shit, she wasn't going to say no

eventually, she got bored---too bored. bored enough to cheat more than once. bored enough to keep jensen around for the menial tasks while she kept up a few casual relationships on the side

of course jensen found out, and fights ensued, and she pretty much told him he was worthless to her since they started dating. she didnt feel bad about it for a long time, mostly just threw herself into classes and used her few other friends for support and pushed on like anything else

eventually, after some talking and therapy and healing, she will apologize to him (and the plenty of others she used and disregarded), but it takes a long time. she gets a stable career and takes care of herself, and eventually her brother, too, but it takes a couple years of being alone for her to realize just how fucked up her actions were

shes grows a lot as a person, and becomes a lot better, it just takes her more time than she'd like to admit
