Alchemists Apathy Special: The Return To Freddy's
While Fnati didn't get a lot of traction. I'm sure this one will, everyone and their mother knows about The Return To Freddy's at this point. It's become a bit of a joke... for better or for worse. It's another anniversary special like Fnati, but this one means a bit more to me than Fnati did. This is another long post so buckle up, it'll be similar to Fnati though so if you can stomach that, you can probably stomach this.
The Return To Freddy's wasn't the original name, it was originally called, and get this, Five Nights At Freddy's 3 Fanmade. The fanmade was even added a bit later, it started out as just being called Five Nights At Freddy's 3. I played this version of the game before it was renamed. There were a lot of interesting things to say about the game, but obviously. It was a buggy mess of a game, the characters were scripted and assets were just taken from Fnaf 1 and 2 (which really isn't a bad thing being honest) and of course, they stole Candy the Cat. The creator of the game, Poniator Films, was forced to take the game down and change it, while also removing the stolen Candy The Cat character. I would show you images, but they are just from Fnaf 1 and 2 so it's kinda pointless. I was one of the people who played a lot of TRTF, it was my first fangame after all. I would later find out that it wasn't Fnaf 3 on Christmas as well as finding that little game called Five Nights At Treasure Island.
Just so you know what TRTF 1 looks like, I'm going to show you one image that will describe all of it.
This... is the game. You sit in a Fnaf 1 office with broken ass doors, you put on the mask, and if you were playing the old version, you would see Sugar The Cat who looks a little too much like a certain cat you all know. As mentioned above, before there was Candy in July of 2015, in 2014 there was Sugar the Cat. It was taken without credit for the game and when the character was taken out, there was a minigame with Sugar that basically had Emil Macko being called a bitch in the files. Yeah... good first impression. There's a big misconception however that Tyler stole code from Fnaf 1 and 2 for the game... no. Scott used a different clickteam engine, Tyler used a very old engine of Clickteam called Games Factory 2. The code is just so bad that people think he stole Scott's code. Makes you wonder what Scott's code looks like. After that, there's not really much to say about TRTF 1 outside of some funny ass poses and a withered Balloon Boy edit being used to represent the creator, Tyler Ahlstrom's Inner Demons (not joking btw).
This thing is hilarious though. The inner demon child was also stolen iirc. Instead of making your own edits you steal them, BRILLIANT!!! I don't mind fangames using old assets or just images you find off of google and such, some of my favorite games are those types of games. The problem stems from not crediting and, most importantly, the game being bad. TRTF 1 has been talked about to death, just like the series itself.
Now for the sequel (yes, this game was somehow popular enough to get a sequel) original assets were made... eventually. Alpha's showed more of a TRTF 1 type deal, being edits and images taken from other Fnaf games, specifically Fnaf 2. Sugar returned as an original model and it was the funniest thing ever.
My friends and I have had a running joke with these old models, where they would grab your IP and such. This is also the introduction of Kitty Fazcat!
You heard of stealing characters, now you can hear about OC characters. Kitty Fazcat doesn't belong to Tyler, she belongs to the creator... of the same name, Kitty Fazcat. Or if you want to be fancy, she can also go by Project Suki. Kitty has since been removed from most of the TRTF stuff and will also be removed from this AU's portion of TRTF, but I do have some level of respect for the character and the creator. Also I think the character design of Kitty in later games is pretty good.
Also can you tell this was made around the time of Fnaf 3?
Yeah... looks beautiful doesn't it.
The Alphas only had two versions before a beta was made, featuring actual models! WOW! Good on you Tyler, your improving already!
Slowly but surely. It was a different time, we were satisfied by evil Mickey Mouse saying "Wanna see my head come off?" This was cool back then. The graphics were updated and a new character was added, Dug the Dog.
Oh and Kitty got an update, she no longer resembles her alpha design.
Yeah, now she looks like a Toy animatronic... which apparently she is a prototype Toy Animatronic according to the story.
Anyway, Dug the dog.
As for the game itself, it was basically a slower paced Fnaf 2, but you had to wind two music boxes, an actual music box, and a power generator that acted like a music box. This stayed for the beta versions while the alphas had a more fnaf 1 power base system... that didn't work alongside the music box iirc.
When the actual game decided to roll around, the models once again got an upgrade, getting a much more charming look that everyone knows and loves.
Yeah, the models were made smaller and looked more in line with Fnaf 1 designs. They are very charming no? They are also now shorter and not tall like the others, which I don't care about but sometimes, they can look incredibly small, like Foxy is now the smallest out of the main four characters, which is really funny.
There are many other builds I could talk about, there's a trailer build that looked like a mishmash of stolen assets and actual models, which look kinda interesting. There is no record of it though so it doesn't really matter. This game is not only the introduction of main stay Kitty Fazcat, but also the introduction of brand new character and iconic character, Lockjaw. He's only a hallucination though, but hey, Shadow Lockjaw is here. He was in the first game as well but he was a Puppet recolor and had a hat.
Now he looks like the peanut man as the kids call it. He does have an actual model as an easter egg but I'll save that for the next game... which we will be talking about right now.
The Return To Freddy's 3, my personal favorite in the series. Incredibly unpopular opinion I know, but TRTF 3 is just really cool to me. You have a brand new office that could have had 360 scrolling but it doesn't. You have withered versions of the TRTF 2 characters as well as brand new variations of characters. First of all, Kitty Fazcat is not a toy animatronic anymore, she now has an original variation, predating the Toy Animatronic lineup she would soon get.
There would be an early version of the design that would show off a more TRTF 2 Alpha Kitty appearance, but with this model. I personally didn't care much for it, I think the top hat and staff work better. The next character up is a small snake animatronic named Vigo.
He's a snake, a goofy looking Snake that looks high. He's funny. We love Vigo. He's also not created by Tyler however. Vigo is from a deviantart user whose name I can't remember and all I know is that Vigo went from many different things, a snake, a dragon, back to a snake. He was mostly a reptile and used for vore. Deviantart sure is a place alright.
Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, Foxy, Golden Freddy, and Shadow Lockjaw return with updated designs that show withering. But the star of the show finally shows up: Lockjaw!
Lockjaw! Aka Frankburt. Yeah, similar to Spring Bonnie/Springtrap, he was always referred to as Lockjaw by the game and community, but in reality, he name is just Frankburt. Although, Fnaf would then start calling Springtrap by Springtrap later down the line, Frankburt was never once referred to in universe as Lockjaw. Also, the face has a hole in it, that's why the mouth is weird. That's supposed to be a hole... with teeth around the hole. He's basically Springtrap of the universe, being possessed by a child whose name is, and get ready for this, BFP. Tyler's online username was also, BFP. BronyFilmsPoniator, BFPFilms, at one point the kids name was also just named Tyler, during an old version of the story. At least it was an actual name and not... BFP. Most of the children are referred to as self inserts via names in the files or something else. It's funny to think about.
This game would have a setting and gameplay based around Fnaf 3, but not be Fnaf 3. You play as Blake, and your friends Wilson and Chun/Phil/John/whoever the fuck decide you should help them bring Freddy Fazbear's Pizza back from the dead. This game takes place after TRTF 1, which is in 2015. It's also implied that the game takes place the same year as TRTF 1 or in early 2016. Freddy's has not been dead long. You have a maintenance panel to reboot the light systems but it doesn't matter if you reboot the light systems because the light systems just don't work and it doesn't matter. The doors work for five seconds before breaking. And you basically need to seal doors on characters so they don't kill you. There is no audio lure, but you do have a view animatronic to keep track of Lockjaw. I doubt you'll need it because Lockjaw tends to cover other characters. This was back when multiple characters couldn't be on the same camera in fangames. You also had a corrupt signal to deal with Chica, Foxy, and Vigo. But if you sealed doors enough or if RNG was on your side, you wouldn't have to worry about them.
There's minigames to play and a good and bad ending to unlock. The after night minigames entail you as Shadow Lockjaw in TRTF 2 waking up all the animatronics aside from Sugar and Dug. It's rumored that Dug was planned for 3, but might have gotten scrapped last minute. On the fifth night, you play as the purple guy who I kid you not is named Vincent, truly a different time. You scare BFP into running into the Frankburt suit in the Parts and Service Room of Fredbear's Family Diner (that's the TRTF 2 location don't question it). He cries and the locks go off, giving you the origins of Lockjaw. The good ending has you free the souls, the bad ending has you not freeing the souls it's Fnaf 3 stuff. The Night 6 has a phone call in which the legendary animatronic, Lockjaw, hugged six children to death. The FBI shut them down (how come the FBI doesn't get involved with Fnaf?) and the place is going to be demolished in the morning. You survive your night and a newspaper shows the body of BFP being discovered in the legendary animatronic. That's TRTF 3... it's great lol.
When I think of old fangames, one of the first games that comes to mind is TRTF 3. The simplicity of the game, the story, the characters. The missing children's incident happened at Frankburt's in this universe which is roughly around 1958. Frankburt is the world's first ever animatronic. They even call out how he is the first animatronic to ever exist. The character designs, the gameplay, it fills me with such joy and warmness that I can't help but smile when playing it. It sure hasn't aged the best, but it's still my favorite.
You know how I mentioned minigames? Well the Happiest Day esque minigame called "Happiest Moment Of My Life" had a message that said "Always Remember". Tyler wasn't exactly in the best state of mind when making TRTF. He planned to end it at 3 and move on to other ventures. Friends were telling him to end it there, but whether it be due to fan demand or whatever fucked up coping mechanism this series was to Tyler, he continued, and we got TRTF 4 out of that.
Two of my close friends don't really like 4 that much, and I can see why. But TRTF 4 was the next game to come out of the TRTF series. TRTF 4 was the more controversial game in the series as this was when the series took a turn. We have some returning characters, Chica, Foxy, and Vigo are dead. But hey, Freddy, Bonnie, Golden Freddy, Lockjaw, and Kitty are back. Kitty's ears are short as hell and they are my pet peeve but hey, they're back. We also have two brand new characters named Koly and Sally.
Yeah, these models don't have necks, I think they are just floating heads. But hey, if you don't like TRTF 2 and 3 models, you might like these ones. TRTF 4 has another new character but I will get to him later. TRTF 4's story is as follows... it's TRTF 3 again.
Many years have passed and the government, who banned the use of animatronics in the last game, decided to give the main characters of TRTF 3 and a brand new character, John, one last shot. They open an attraction called FreddyFazzyFuntime and start salvaging what they can from Fazbear Fantasy Land as well as finding records of three golden suits, not just Fredbear, not just Spring Bonnie, but a third one. Similar to Fnaf 3, you get recordings each night about the third suit, and how dangerous it is. It might not even be a springlock suit! You play as Blake again and have to survive against the animatronics as your friends look around for anything they can use. You have a steam lever to pull, a power lever to recharge your power, and a locker to hide in. It's basically a Fnaf 2 mask mechanic game again, but you can use the steam on two characters. There are after night minigames and death minigames. Death minigames are just straight up vents and show BFP dead, BFP with his friends, BFP with the creator of Kitty Fazcat with hearts flying in the air, and a scrapped minigame where BFP and all of his friends are dead. These mean nothing to the story, except maybe the scrapped one, but I'll talk about that later. The after night minigames have you play as Vincent TRTF going around killing children. Wonderful. On Night 5 though, you get to see something.
Now I glossed over TRTF 3's minigames because I felt like there wasn't much need to talk about them. They were Fnaf 3 minigames but you don't give any children cake, you just go up to dead children and that's that. Or you jump into a suit and the suits eyes light up. The after night minigames were more interesting. But, there was one I should have talked about. Introducing a character that everyone knows at this point because he's been memed to death. His name is Gron Takalikan.
This green bastard is now a mainstay with the series. He's a bit of a looney tune, and by that, I mean he's insane. But of course, it wouldn't be a TRTF post if I didn't talk about the great soap incident of the 40's.
On the fifth night, you come over to see Gron basically hanging BFP up by chains and torturing him while laughing. It's said that Gron and BFP are father and child, but that has been retconned one to many times to the point where I don't know. But Gron is laughing at the bloody BFP and he turns around to walk away. He slips on a bar of soap, falls directly into the Golden Lockjaw suit, and dies via death mechanisms because it's not a springlock suit. This has been retconned to just him putting on the suit via insanity but who cares. #Soap4Life
The sixth night has no new recordings and the building is scheduled to open up that day. Blake survives for a while but dies at 6 to Golden Lockjaw, the 3rd suit.
He's actually not a bad design but... what's the point? Lockjaw is already a springlock suit. Shadow Lockjaw had no explanation. Just make Gron Shadow Lockjaw. Hell, the only reason Gron exists was because Tyler wanted to have two murderers walking around for whatever reason. Golden Lockjaw was teased in 3 after an update to the game was made a bit after TRTF 3's release. You could have easily made him Shadow Lockjaw and no one would have complained.
There is a bit more story where after you cheat and break the game to beat the seventh night, you get a newspaper of FreddyFazzyFuntime actually opening... despite Blake being dead. Blake does come back, but it's in something stupid. But that's basically all of TRTF 4.
The next game in the series came with many, many different versions. One version had Hybrid versions of the characters that admittedly look cool. Here's a photo of Hybrid Foxy.
Most of them have Tophats for whatever reason but they honestly look kinda cool. The Hybrids are interesting but they were scrapped in favor of new models, those being the Tortured Animatronics. But I think both had the same role, creations of an animatronic machine that got tampered and are all death suits.
The Tortures all feel the same but there are some unique ones, there's The Slaughter Crew, featuring three brand new characters: The Beast, Buster, and Saber.
These guys sure are something alright. This game was very hyped up though, so hyped up that Scott Cawthon himself commented on one of the trailers saying the game looked amazing. From taking the game down to praising the trailer (the best trailer honestly) is an insane feat. Then the game was canceled because Tyler was having mental problems. It jumped from developer to developer and eventually landed on Yin Kouiu who would finish the game... that person was Tyler in disguise. TRTF 5 had such a rocky history and was also the start of Volume 2. Volume 1 was the first four games, Volume 2 was TRTF 5, RADSLA_ and Frankburt's.
I could be talking more about TRTF 5, the many teaser games it has, the other modes it has like a Fnaf World mode, a multiplayer mode, GPD mode. TRTF 5 was a massive game, it jumped engines even, it was even a free roam game at one point. Many of TRTF 5 was made as revivals by fans and not many of them have stacked up to par with the original and what it was meant to be. Most of them cut out the original stuff anyway. TRTF 5 was a massive game, to the point the original games were going to get major updates to fix things and make the story more accurate with TRTF 5. Not much is known about these major updates outside of a few model changes and keys being put into each game that would unlock a boss fight with Tyler himself... for some reason. There would be another set of major updates later on in 2018 but they didn't get far either. They had new graphics though.
I'll talk about the head in the office later don't worry.
RADSLA_ was meant to be the true beginning of the TRTF timeline, taking place in the 40's with highly advanced animatronics, in Japan. Now, this would be the part where I would go off about animatronics in the 40's. But actually, Defunctland made a video talking about animatronics in the 1700's. TRTF once had animatronics in the late 1800's, so TRTF is more accurate to history than you thought. The video in question is right here: https://youtu.be/jjNca1L6CUk?si=CoIxWAn65Gsi89yg
RADSLA_ had highly advanced animatronics for the time though, those being the Fairytales. They were made to hold the souls of children while they worked on a cure for a super cancer. Insert obligatory Super Cancer joke here.
This is the brand new character and Tyler's Fursona, Ty. This is his Fairytale version. He was planned to make an appearance in the major updates of TRTF 4 before they got canned. He was one of the four main antagonists of RADSLA_. He would be possessed by a child named Patient 20. Not an actual japanese name, just Patient 20. I'm not surprised though, the two head scientists of the project are Lloyd and Gilbert, not even Japanese names. There was also a Koly and Sally versions but they never got modeled as far as we know. These three are once again possessed by children and are apart of the "Save The Kids Project" headed by the Gilbert Facility as they try to combat the Super Cancer. Gilbert died from the Super Cancer and ended up possessing The Machine that would create The Tortures. Yes, that machine is possessed.
Lloyd himself would end up dying after a raid on the facility by a character I have yet to mention, Alison. Alison started making his way to TRTF in Volume 2. He's a mob boss and the head of Fazbear Inc. He wanted The Machine for some reason and when they said no, he raided the facility. He's also hacking the animatronics to make them attack you... for whatever reason. Alison is mostly evil for the sake of being evil so there's no real motive there. In the book (which I will get to soon along with the full "reboot") Alison would take the RADSLA_ serum which had the side effect of immortality and he would drink half of it, losing his sperm in the process. Yes, that is also in the book. I will mention that soon.
RADSLA_ was a weird game, but not as weird as Frankburt's. As the name implies, this game is all about Frankburt. If you think it would be about Frankburt's Pizza, sorely mistaken. This game has stripper animatronics. The location is a strip club, it's a mafia hangout, and you play as a brand new character named Blake, not the one from TRTF 4, he possesses Golden Kitty Fazcat. YES, FOUR GOLDEN SUITS! Golden Kitty has a cool design but her entire lore purpose is kinda like Golden Lockjaw is to Lockjaw. Kitty herself is like Lockjaw, a springlock suit iirc. Therefore, Golden Kitty doesn't need to exist just like Golden Lockjaw doesn't need to exist.
Also, speaking of Kitty. I am convinced that Frankburt's is a spite game for the sole reason that I'm pretty sure this was around or after the time Kitty Fazcat and Tyler broke up. Therefore, we have this thing.
Fun fact, this is the only animatronic in the TRTF series with boobs as the wiki says. This says a lot without saying a lot.
There isn't much story but from what I can gather, at the end of the game, the FBI shows up and shuts down Frankburt's with the character of Carson (the main character of 5) shooting Alison and killing him. As mentioned, Carson is the main player character of TRTF 5 and I never really mentioned the story of that. Mainly because it kinda changed with each iteration. But it always stayed the same, you needed to go to Fazbear Inc (Not Entertainment, Incorporated) and stop the madness, all the while the animatronics were out for blood. They might have been possessed, but I honestly don't remember. In the end, you had a choice, wear the Torture Device suit or don't fulfill the prophecy. Yes, A PROPHECY! As if this shit couldn't get any weirder. If you fulfill the prophecy and wear the Torture Device, you get the good ending. Don't wear it, the animatronics cause the apocalypse. THE END!
TRTF is fucking crazy and I still haven't gone over the book, that one game that started out as a teaser game but turned into it's own game, and the full on reboot. So lightning round. The book is called The Dreadful Truth, and it's responsible for introducing people to the Super Cancer jokes, but there's also the false god Torture Device and other weird things. The human characters don't get a lot of spotlight or any sort of character, hell, the Missing Kids have been retconned to it just being BFP controlling all of the animatronics. But one character that had always interested me was Cawnoth Cotts. Cawnoth was the main character of TRTF 2 and the book describes him as a college student, and 19 years old I think... but has a family. Either he banged a younger woman or most likely the latter option, teenage pregnancy. Though, TRTF isn't exactly free from the predator actions as one minigame planned to be in 5 had Alison, who is like over 50, flirting with a 16 year old girl, that being the creator of Kitty Fazcat. Back to the book, it's mid. It's pretty bad but hey, fangames getting a book, that's nice I guess. Though this is probably the funniest thing ever so look up The Dreadful Truth one of these days, you'll have a laugh.
MAD MIND was a teaser game for Volume 2 that soon turned into it's own game. Not much is known about the story but it possibly could have been a game adaptation of The Dreadful Truth as the game starts off with the three patients of RADSLA_ getting put into the Fairytales. You would then be put into a carnival like world and the rest of the game is unfinished but some screenshots make it out to be an RPG style game.
Mad Mind is still around, but is now an original project for Tyler's somehow running Game Studio which I'm pretty sure is just a money laundering scheme.
The Return To Freddy's Chapter One is a full on reboot of The Return To Freddy's. Made by Tyler himself, the series would have had four chapters, each being different from the last and would slowly transition into craziness. Chapter One is reportedly stated to be a major update to TRTF 1 but I don't know. The story is insanely different, there's brand new characters like some sort of Lemur, Sugar is still there. The Fnaf cast is still there and it's described as some as Sister Location but with TRTF stuff in it. Lockjaw is there as a plushie and it kinda does look like Sister Location at times.
That plushie is my favorite thing ever though. Chapter One was canceled and Tyler stated that it never existed, he then went on to work on original stuff like money laundering with The Road That Falls, which has the same initials as The Return To Freddy's... funny. There has been other things about Chapter One because it was in fact a real game at some point, and Tyler just said that to get out of the Fnaf community. I haven't talked about Tyler much because the guy is straight up a walking nut case and if I'm being honest, is probably mentally ill. I don't like saying that about people but when you draw confession art to someone while you are still in the middle of a relationship, I deem you mentally ill and a walking nut case.
That's all of TRTF I'm willing to talk about. This series means a lot to me and if it were up to me, I would talk on for more and more. I probably could, but I'm stopping myself because I know why you are all really here, to figure out how this all fits into my AU. I'm glad you asked. Similar to Fnati, this isn't super important to know, but it's a bit more important than Fnati so if you made it all this way, maybe this is your reward for me waffling about it for so long. I kinda wish that Fnati post was made better, that was the first fangame after all.
This version of the story starts all the way back in the 1940's in Japan. Tycraz Food and Fun! was put into place in 1942, though, his name wasn't called Tycraz, it was Thaikraz. Thaikraz was joined by Coricoara and Saripanda. Being part of VERY early technology, the automatons were flimsy and could only stand and talk and play automated japanese songs, though, even then the technology was faulty. The animals mouths didn't move and sometimes the characters would freeze up and not work anymore. But these animatronics were part of a special program. Originally, they would be placed in the children's wing of a hospital in the cafeteria. They would entertain the sick children who had gotten an unknown disease that was slowly killing them. As the doctors searched for a cure, the animatronics were made to show the children that everything was okay. However, one of the head doctors of the "Save The Kids" project, Girubāto Vu~orendesu brought up the idea of using the robots to preserve the lives of the children until they found a cure. Girubāto proposed that the procedure into their animatronic bodies may kill the children, so they needed to freeze them until they had a cure and they could put their souls back into their bodies.
The idea was laughed at, heavily mocked, and Girubāto was almost fired. But he never backed down from that idea. Girubāto and his son, Arei Vu~orendesu, would go out of their way to gather three patients. Amano Keita (Patient 20), Kodama Fumika (Patient 48), Kumashima Gorōta (Patient 63). The three children were hooked up to tubes and machines that would, theoretically, transfer their souls into the machines. A drug was injected into the three children and their heartrates slowly started to flatline. The freezing process began just as the doors began to open, the other doctors got wind of this stunt and were ready to stop the experiment in hopes of saving the children from Girubāto and Arei. It was too late, the children's bodies were frozen, unthawing them might kill them. However, the machines began to wake up and speak on their own. The switches for the machines were set into the off position. Everyone was stunned, the experiment had worked. The souls of the children were stuck inside of the machines. It had worked! Everyone apologized to the Vu~orendesu's and marveled at the animatronics. Such cheap materials now housed the souls of three children inflicted with the virus.
More automatons were set to be made, and the hospital now opened up a separate area dedicated to Girubāto called "Girubāto Facility" where a machine would be constructed to create a machine that would create more automatons easily and cheaply. The fame started to go to Girubāto's head. Arei noticed this. When there were delays, his father would go into rage fits. When the children asked to go back into their normal bodies, he would simply ignore them or talk down to them, like a mother to a young one. Arei didn't like this side of his father and proposed a plan to keep him in check. He called the other doctors one day and made a small mistake in front of them, causing Girubāto to go into a rage fit so badly that he was fired from the project and left the hospital. Girubāto was enraged further and told everyone that the project would fail without him. Little did he know that a medicine said to combat the unknown disease was already in testing and showed great promise with little to no side effects. The serum was called "RADSLA" as no one could think of an interesting name for it. Arei was now the head of the project and for weeks, everything seemed okay. Until Thaikraz started to walk on his own. It was a miracle that he was walking to begin with, but Keita said that it wasn't him doing it. It seemed like something outside of the building was controlling the automatons.
Coincidentally, one of the controllers for the automatons was missing. One of each character, Thaikraz, Cori, and Sari. The automatons would soon be found in the rooms of patients each night, standing over them, watching them sleep. Out of fear for the other patients, a night guard was hired to watch over the automatons so they don't hurt anymore. The first guard was Arei himself but he had mysteriously disappeared. The only place that wasn't checked was the room that held the RADSLA antidote, as it was mysteriously locked and no one had the key. The sign of "Do Not Access" was scratched out. Roido āvu~ingu was the guard of the next location, he was hired on by one of the head doctors as a personal favor for something Roido did for him. Roido was looking for work anyway. Roido was the guard for the nights and would be keeping an eye on the place via a makeshift office in the elevator of the building. Other rooms that would qualify as an office were tight and not used much for security. The elevator was the best they could do. During Roido's nights in the building, he would also be attacked other ways. The Gas Pipes breaking, the animatronics trying to attack him, and they would even try to attack the other patients.
On Roido's fifth night, Arei finally returned, but he was a mangled corpse. Using parts of The Machine that they were building, he was a different person. Bent on revenge for what the others had done to him. He moved around attempting to destroy the other bots, Roido would try to get Arei away from the automatons, but all that did was lead Arei to him. Arei would then kill Roido at 6am. Children were screaming and the police were soon called, who would detain Arei and later kill him for good with a grenade. The missing controllers were later found at Girubāto's house and he was later arrested and sentenced to life in prison. The liquid antidote was soon finished and was given to the children, curing them of the disease. However, the automatons were gone. No one could find them. The disease was cured but without the robots, the three patients that had the virus were frozen, meaning the virus was frozen with it. And it was going to stay that way... forever.
1946 rolled around and so did a brand new diner called Goldie's Paradise Diner. It featured two characters, Goldie the Bear, and Yeller The Rabbit. Both of these characters were mascot suit performers that would hand out and deliver cake to children. It was a simple place and soon enough, it gained a new entertainer in the form of a jester, Gron the Great was the name of the jester. He had a great juggling act and a big goofy smile. Gron wasn't exactly the most mentally sound however, things had been going on with his life that had been destroying his mental health. His wife had left him, his son had moved on from this world sadly, and his youngest son had to be sent to an orphanage due to Gron's terrible house state. He tried to his best to get his son back but child protective services wouldn't allow it. Gron would then hear one day about a shipment from Japan. A machine was sent over to the building alongside what looked to be three very old automatons. The japanese people tried to get the automatons back, even coming to America to get them, but nothing seemed to get the company to budge. Gron would hear about the machine and found the first ever prototype of an animatronic for the company. It was a highly unstable animatronic and featured mechanisms that could potentially kill someone if they wore it like a costume. The Machine needed to be fine tuned and tested.
Within the next few days, the suit stayed in the backroom of Goldies and no one was told to wear it. Gron didn't listen. His mental health was so low and he thought this was his only escape. He wore the suit and instantly died. It took people a day to find out, and the CEO, Alison Bairren, covered it all up. He sealed Gron in the basement of the building and rebranded the building to Frankburt's Pizza, which opened many years later in 1958. The only animatronic at the building was Frankburt himself, made once again by The Machine. This one was slightly safer than the previous attempt, as you can now fit an endoskeleton inside of it without it going off and almost destroying your arm. Some people would even call it "40% safer". However, Frankburt's didn't last long as Alison Bairren would soon be arrested for "insider trading" and soon found out to be connected to a famous criminal organization known as the "Ahlstrom Crime Family" in California. Alison was tried for his crimes for four years, which was long enough for the Frankburt's Brand to be damaged. 1969 saw the rise of Fazbear Entertainment, who bought the Frankburt's characters including Frankburt himself, Goldie, and Yeller. They soon met up with the spiritual successor of Goldie's Paradise Diner, Fredbear's Family Diner.
Fredbear's Family Diner was the start of the controversy and long list of tragedies that befell Fazbear Entertainment, but the original Fredbear's Family Diner was the one that didn't get hit by anything. Therefore, when Henry and William were both out of the company, the company retrofitted the characters from Freddy Fazbear's Pizza to fit with the characters from the original Fredbear's Family Diner and reopened Fredbear's Family Diner in early 1987. It contained Fredbear, Spring Bonnie, Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, Foxy, and a brand new redesigned Puppet character. Fredbear and Spring Bonnie however, didn't last long. They were hard to work with as the animatronics were not of the same tech as the Fazbear characters. Making working on them when something went wrong a chore. Fredbear and Spring Bonnie were later moved to the back while Freddy and friend took center stage, with Foxy getting his own cove once more. In place of Fredbear and Spring Bonnie, two prototype animatronics belonging to a new line of animatronics were added. Dug the Dog and Buster The Hare. Buster was a scrapped concept for Frankburt's Pizza, it never got made due to Alison being tried. Speaking of Alison, he had gotten wind that Frankburt was potentially at the new Fredbear's and wanted to see how his creations were doing. He moved over to night shift after one day of working dayshift and realizing the map of the building was full of crap. He sat in his office and got calls from the owner of the building, Vincent Hayes.
Vincent was often mistaken for looking like William, however, the two were not related, just looked similar. Vincent would then talk to Alison about his job. He had to wear a mask if needed and he needed to wind up a music box and power generator. All seemed fine at first, until the animatronics started moving. Possessed by the children that had died at the previous Freddy's, they were on the attack for revenge and to hopefully find their friend the yellow rabbit. The Puppet would also be at the location, controlling the two brand new prototype animatronics. Alison would survive for four nights and on the fifth night would hear the awful news that a child had gone missing in the establishment. During the day, while Vincent was in his office, William had entered the establishment and used the old Spring Bonnie suit to lure away a young boy named Brian Fitzgerald Peterson. When Brian found out how it was, he tried to hide in the Frankburt suit. But when William found him, he started crying, causing the mechanisms to go off and kill him. Alison survived for the night and got his check. He survived one more night just to leave a complaint to the company.
Years have passed since early 1987. Alison has not once looked back on Fazbear Entertainment again. Many things had come up since then, but it all ended the same. Fazbear Entertainment took a long break from restaurant development. In 2014 on December 23rd, a new Freddy Fazbear's Restaurant opened up. Freddy Fazbear's Pizza had returned once more, now owned by one Tyler Ahlstrom. He is the son of one of the Ahlstrom Crime Family members and it was highly spectated that the place was open for money laundering business, just like the well known company financed by the Ahlstrom Crime Family, Kriya Studios. Known for absolutely nothing. What was more interesting was that a repaired version of Candy The Cat was there despite Rowboatics Corp out of business, Fazbear Ent did not own Candy The Cat either. The character was named Sugar however and was a mish mash between the old Toy Bonnie character and the Candy animatronic itself. Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, Foxy and The Puppet were also there as well. Michael Afton returned to the building under the guise of Mike Schmidt, thinking that he could find his father. Instead, he found himself sitting in the office wearing a mask the entire time and almost falling asleep. He would have weird dreams however, dreams that would have him in the office while the animatronics were outside. He would also see what appeared to be a shadow version of The Puppet, but it also had a hat.
This shadow apparition was Shadow Frankburt, the spirit of Brian after he left the suit behind. He followed Fazbear Entertainment for years, hoping someone would see him and free him from his prison. Nothing had worked and attempting to go after Michael didn't work either. Michael would leave the establishment and continue hiding out, waiting for his father to come back so he could stop him once and for all.
Tyler would later be arrested and the animatronics would be left to rot until later in 2015. Three teenagers named Blake Adams, Chun Hutcherson, and Wilson Gallaria would come up with Fazbear's Fantasy Land, reusing the old Frankburt's Pizza building. Frankburt would return to this building, but would be found at a later date. The two animatronics to be arrived were Bonnie and the Toy Buster animatronic. Toy Buster didn't move until Frankburt showed up alongside, Freddy, Chica, and Foxy. Brian returned to the suit he died in, but not before splitting his soul and possessing the Toy Buster animatronic. Blake was the night guard of the building and on Night 3, a snake animatronic named Vigo, made by Henry himself. Henry abandoned Vigo when Charlie died, as it was another toy for her. He later sold it to a shop for some money to make his own animatronic business outside of Fazbear Entertainment. The animatronics would go on the attack and try to attack Blake, who would survive five nights at the building. The building would open for a test run, but tragedy would strike as Frankburt would hug six children to death, killing them. The building was going to be demolished as Fazbear Entertainment threatened to sue them as this was damaging their brand.
With the building destroyed, the souls of the children split up. Moving on to new places. Brian stayed in his suit, silently crying. He had no idea that time had passed and many of the friends he had made from Fazbear Fantasy Land had gotten their
Many years have passed and in the year 2026, Blake, Wilson, and Chun got permission from Fazbear Entertainment for one last shot, and this time it would be different. It was a TV studio. It was aimed more towards adults than children. Frankburt would be the main star as he would come back and be repaired alongside other old Fazbear characters that were left in the remains of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Place. They were lucky they were able to get in before the construction crew arrived. Brian had awoken in a new place, with familiar faces. He saw Freddy and Bonnie, as well as Dug the Dog. He himself was Frankburt again, but he did come across new friends, three children from Japan. At least he thought they were speaking Japanese. They had new names too, for the animatronics. Tycraz, Koly, and Sally. He and the others had one mission, be free no matter the cost. Blake was the guard once again and he questioned the adult themes of the building, but Wilson and Chun brushed it off, saying that a guy named John had helped them out with a theme. John had called Blake a few times, but it sounded like John was using a filter and not a real voice. John had always talked about the supposed third golden suit and talked about Goldie's a lot. Blake didn't even know what Goldie's was. It was just so weird. When the supposed third suit was brought over, John didn't talk much anymore. Blake survived for a few more nights, and on the sixth night, he was found dead, with the third Golden Suit missing. Some of the characters were missing as well, Frankburt, Koly, Sally, and Tycraz. Freddy, Bonnie, and Dug were destroyed.
In the end, Blake, Wilson, and Chun were put on a list of people not to rent the brand too. Jackson Takalikan rubbed his head, being the brand new business owner of Fazbear Entertainment was harder than he thought. Especially with all the controversy this past year, Henry coming back to "end things", protests against Fazbear Entertainment. What kind of world was he raising his son Carson into? This wouldn't do. Jackson needed something.
He got in contact with a game developer to create a series of games. And... well... that's a different story.
(Frankburt's and TRTF 4 have been combined into one. TRTF 5 doesn't exist but this isn't the end of Frankburt's story. Happy 10th anniversayr TRTF!!! Hope you continue to go as long as Fnaf does! The Legend Never Dies...)

gonna rant about my fav fnaf fan game designs !!
Note: some of the creators for these mightve been outed as being shit, i dont know, but know that i dont support their actions or anything i just. Like fan games lol. If they r confirmed weirdos, lmk but yknow.
Anyways!! Starting off: Final Nights. Final Nights is a fan game by JeliLiam that is basically a retelling of the original FNaF story! There are 4 games, and while all of them have wonderful designs, Final Nights 4 has my personal favorite designs for the animatronics. The game is set in Fredbear’s Family Diner during 1973 AND 2017.
Starting off with my favorite design: Spring Bonnie (she/her)
I ADORE her design. She genuinely looks like an animatronic real kids would enjoy - being a nice balance of cute, but also weirdly unsettling like animatronics irl. The gloves really make the design for me, and I’m obsessed with how shaped she is.
Her movements are also so good and so unsettling-she’s incredibly smooth in her animation and the way she leans towards the player is a great level of stressful especially because you cannot move or else you will fail the night. I am sooo obsessed with her yall dont get it.
Next up is Fredbear (he/him)!
I love his design for the same reason as Spring Bonnie’s, but I also love that his design is not just a repaired version of Nightmare Fredbear from FNaF 4! This design is more what I imagine Fredbear to look like, as I always took the FNaF 4 designs with a grain of salt considering they’re from a child’s nightmare.
I do wish he was more round though, as he does kinda look like he uses a similar model to Spring Bonnie, but that’s a very minor critique.
Bonus mentions: I do enjoy Proto Spring Freddy / Bonnie’s designs! They’re quite unsettling and it makes sense why Henry dislikes them LOL
Next up: The Return to Freddy’s!
I don’t have much to say about this series as a whole - it started out as fan game for FNaF 3 prior to the canon game releasing and then spiraled into a retelling of FNaF before becoming it’s own thing. The creators have gotten into hot water - they stole the Candy design from FNaC - and the franchise has since been cancelled, but I have a soft spot for the designs still!
I mostly want to show the Tortured Suits from the cancelled TRTF 5 games!
A unique take on more Nightmare-ish designs, I just love how creepy the designs are and I wish the game was completed so we could see how they operated in game. I also love the use of muted colors. It really sets the tone for the suits and shows they were not made for children, but for an other purpose that unfortunately is unknown.
It’s late so I’ll leave this off here but I’ll continue this tomorrow with more fan game animatronic designs that I love, and if y’all have fan games you like, let me know and I’ll talk about my fav designs from those games too!!

Tell me, tell me about your man /silly
But yeah, we'd love to hear you talk about the character or even the game in general! Also,,
((resending this cause Tumblr said something went wrong with the ask and it didn't send😭😭 so sorry if this is a double send))
(It did send but I’m answering this one anyway lol)
MY GIRL!! YOUR SO POORLY MODELED <3
Anyway lockjaw stuff under the cut
So- Lockjaw is basically a self insert of the creator of TRTF
The child inside of lockjaw is named BFP (one of the creators online usernames is BFPfilms) and the character is modeled after him, I believe.
Fun fact: kitty Fazcat was designed by his ex girlfriend! It’s his least favorite design. Lockjaw is his favorite.
Anyways: I’m literally not sure if Lockjaw is technically more important than any of the other murdered kids? Tbh? Like- other than the fact that we see his death (springlocked in the Frankburt suit), I honestly don’t know if he does anything?
Other than years later when he hugs 6 kids to death but I can’t remember if that was important either??? Or just a plot device to end the game.
He also might have been tortured or something by a green guy named gron but that also might have been gron hallucinating his younger self???
Also Frankburts (the restaurant) was a strip club. Disguised as a place for children (that had been closed down but still)
My hated, my worst enemy, Lockjaw

Got any head canons for Vigo from Return to Freddy's 3? Sorry to interrupt your time.
No worries! I started looking into TRTF a bit more and I like the characters!
He's a snake charmer
Nah, he's a pretty mellow guy who doesn't bother people much. Though it's often mistaken for apathy.
Probably because he's been smelling whatever filth has spilled on or stained the floor for so many years.
The only times he softens up is when he's around kids who genuinely love him.
It warms his circuits when he learns a child has become less afraid of snakes after meeting him.
He was created for that exact purpose, but still.
Actually has tiny sets of wheels under his belly that allow him to "slither" around.

Chapter 1: Happy Valentines Fandom: Emmerdale Rating: Explicit Warnings: Creator Chose Not To Use Archive Warnings Relationships: Aaron Dingle/Robert Sugden Additional Tags: Love, Established 24/7 Master/slave relationship, Consensual, BDSM, Friendship, Trust, Atonement, Forgiveness, Soulmates Summary:
Three and a half years after where 'The Road to Freedom' finishes, Robert and Aaron’s journey continues as they look to take their Master/slave relationship up a level.
I would like to dedicate this story to Erica (Stulot) as a thank you for all the fun and many fascinating hours we chatted about ideas for The Road To Freedom (TRTF), it was definitely NSFW material !!.
Continued with Erica’s blessing, although our writing style is completely different, hopefully I’ve still managed to keep faith with the characters she developed. It's not necessary to read TRTF beforehand, but if you haven’t I would highly recommend it. For one, it’s a fab story and yes, the backdrop is a Master/slave relationship, but it remains a very human story between two people who love each other very deeply and second it gives a lot of colour and context for this story, where the boys take the next step in deepening their relationship.
This is a story about an established Master/slave relationship, so there’s no easing you into it. If you don’t like reading about BDSM or Master/slave relationships, then stop now because this fic is not for you. However, if you have an open mind and/or liked TRTF then I hope you’ll find this enjoyable.
Take care Caro

Alchemists Apathy Special: Five Nights At Treasure Island.
Happy Ten Years Five Nights At Treasure Island!!! It's honestly crazy that it has been that long since the first ever demo to Treasure Island has dropped. I may not be the biggest fan of the series, but I do like a lot of the characters and I heavily respect the series. Here's to ten years of Five Nights At Treasure Island as well as to hoping 6.5 is finally good.
This is a long post so buckle up, I will be going over my experiences with Treasure Island as well as talking about this AU's version of Treasure Island. But for starters, maybe some of you don't know what Treasure Island is.
Treasure Island, prominently known as Five Nights At Treasure Island, is one of the first Fnaf fangames out there. Common belief is that it is the first but no, it's one of the first. I believe Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Massacre was the first but I never played that. What I did play was Five Nights At Treasure Island. I learned of Treasure Island's existence on Christmas Day, the day I also learned that Five Nights At Freddy's 3 was also NOT released on Gamejolt for free. Yes, I was a very stupid kid. TRTF was my first introduction to fangames, but Treasure Island was kinda the first fangame I played where I actually knew it was a fangame and not an official entry that released two days before Christmas. The game was based off the famous creepypasta: Abandoned Discovery Island. And if you don't know that... I'm saddened for you. Basic premise is that a kid goes to an abandoned island that is owned by Disney and discovers Mowgli's Palace, a resort complex. There, he finds an inverted Mickey Mouse costume that tears off it's head and has yellow liquid coming out of it. The kid leaves and never returns. There were a few sequels to it, featuring The Corruptus Effect and Room Zero. I recommend checking these stories out for yourself, they are iconic and I'm sure you have heard of them.
I... didn't know of them until Fnati, the only creepypasta I was aware of was Sonic.exe. So, Fnati was my discovery into the Disney Horror Medium lmfao. Anyway, the demo was released on December 1rst, 2014 (December 1rst is today :D) and only had one night where the main star, Photo Negative Mickey was active.
There he is, in all his glory. Photo Negative Mickey is iconic in a way, both for creepypastas and Fnaf fangames. He is one of the first and I can see why everyone gravitates towards him and the series. This wasn't the only character however, the demo was later updated with bug fixes and a second night, featuring Oswald the lucky rabbit.
He looks like this because of UV Errors, meaning that the textures were flipped. But, here is Oswald, Walt's first creation. Find it weird he was on Treasure Island but I don't know much of the Disney lore with it's cartoons, despite my love for Disney itself. These two weren't the only characters however. The first ever version was the closest one to be finished and there were a few other characters programmed. Such as: Disembodied!
A Donald Duck head that got into your office would scream at the top of it's lungs, making the characters go faster. It's just a Donald Duck head with black eyes, nothing to see here really. It also showed up on Night 2 actually in the demo. Might be misremembering though, the game is ten years old.
Now time for the cool sounding names like Disembodied: Acepholus.
The headless Goofy with the most iconic voicelines ever. He was never finished in the first version so it's unknown how he would behave. He's just a headless Goofy, nothing really special about him. I guess he looks funny and in the gameplay, you could see his head lying around in one of the rooms on the cams.
Now, for someone just as iconic, The Face.
Legless Mickey with human eyes. Everyone knows The Face, everyone knows Photo Negative Mickey. The Face is funny, he's just this little guy with no legs and is Mickey Mouse. His ears look weird, he looks really funny, I love The Face.
These costumes weren't the only ones meant to appear, there was also a character known as Undying.
Sorry guys, he stole all the ketchup. Undying is one of the human characters and was important to the story of Treasure Island, which was about haunted costumes back in the day. I don't remember if Undying had any lore purpose back then, but he does now. He would have shown up in Pirate Caverns, a part of the game that was point and click free roam. Yeah, Fnaf fangames did point and click free roam before it was cool.
There were two easter egg characters as well, being Photo Negative Minnie and Pluto.
They were simply Easter Eggs, I believe Minnie would have acted like Golden Freddy but I'm not too sure about it. This was the entirety of Treasure Island's first ever version. It had a demo with two nights and was planned to be an interesting game, and then it got a remaster.
I was honestly surprised how little time it got a remaster, but AnArt (creator of Treasure Island) would Remaster the first version of the game, basically photoshopping camera renders but also adding a completely new character to the game, that being Suicide Mouse.
Based off the creepypasta of suicidemouse.avi, Suicide Mouse makes his way into the game with this version. He would have activated on Nights 1-3 and made your way to the office, once there, you needed to shut off a camera to get rid of him, like most characters. Shutting off the cameras sounds like a good gameplay mechanic, but the cameras are ultimately useless as well as the cameras coming back after a recharge time. So that's why I never really gravitated towards the game. It felt lacking in mechanics with everyone being the same thing, and it wasn't like Fnaf 2 where I could at least look at one camera. Young me didn't care much about Treasure Island as you can tell. But I still did follow the series from and outside perspective.
And now, I will mention someone I'm sure at least one person is waiting for me to mention: GOD.
GOD is one of the characters Oswald was referring to in his voice lines, basically your first tease of the character all the way back in the first version. GOD was planned to appear in that game and would make an appearance in the second remaster of the game as well. She is another story driven character like Undying, though Ketchup Man and White Woman are not the same obviously, both have different roles.
Now with 1.0 and the Remaster of 1.0 out of the way, we can finally get on to, and your gonna be shocked by this, the second version of the game. Most commonly known as 2.0.
2.0 was the start of a lot of things, most importantly was when PuritySinners and StellaWisps (back then commonly known as SubwooferX3) got onto the Fnati side of things. SubWooferX3 was known in the fangame community for a bit and officially got their start with this game and a game I also hold so dear to my heart, Five Nights To Remember. This version of the game would soon be canceled and AnArt would publish all the assets so people could make their own unofficial versions of the game. There was a trailer for the game with the tune "It's a Small World" which I have just considered Fnati's theme song. The game did get new rooms and the map got bigger. You still had the same cast, PNMinnie got a buff into the main cast but there was still PNM, Oswald, Acepholus, Disembodied, but now you can get Disembodied on Acepholus to create Dace.
I don't know if this was a rare event or not, and I don't think there was a jumpscare for it either so maybe it was just meant to scare you. The Face was planned to return but now there were a few brand new characters added, quite a lot of characters actually.
A Daisy Duck head is the first of many new characters to be added. It is not known how she would act but most interpretations of her just make her a second Disembodied. That's a little saddening.
Pete the cat is next, sporting an appearance much similar to his Steamboat Willie counterpart. He can run past a window and climb on top of the roof, and from there, the rest of the behavior is unknown. We had animations in our fangames, AND voice acting AND point and click free roam before it was cool. Pete was the one that always interested me the most out of the new characters, probably because I like Steamboat Willie quite a bit.
Next up is part of a mechanic. The mechanics were always the same but you could also turn off the power in the office if you needed too. When this happened, the Shades would come out.
These three are the only known Shades to be in this version of the game. There's Shade PNM, Shade PNMinnie, and Shade Oswald. We don't know how they would have acted outside of turning off the lights, at least that's what I could gather from the trailer. They look alright I suppose. Not my cup of tea in terms of designs.
There was one new Easter Egg character, that being Slester.
I don't know who the fuck this is. I never knew anything about Slester outside of their appearance in Fnati, and I didn't even know they existed until Obltius Casa (which I will talk about much later). Apparently, they are a non canon bonus character like Pete and the next character I will talk about, Henry. I think it's supposed to be Slender's Sister? Like Slenderman. Yeah, Fnati has weird ties to Creepypastas. Jeff the Killer was meant to show up in the game.
Yeah, Jeff the fucking killer. Next to Photo Negative Mickey. He would have been in an adventure mode but it's unknown how that would have worked. So basically, Jeff was there and no one knows why. I don't know why he's there, and I'm just still a little shocked that we have Jeff the Killer here. Crazy world we live in huh?
And now, I believe this is the final character I have to talk about, Henry Miller. This is the part where I bring up some of the plot. You play as Jake Smith, a member of the SSA, which looks into Supernatural things, their full name is Supernatural Studies Association. Disney contacted them to check out the island and they sent Henry over, and he disappears, and now they send you over, Jake Smith. There's Greg and Lisa as well and they have designs.
Generic anime characters but yes, they have designs alright. They did get updated designs later on that I'm not a big fan of, but I'm not a fan of these designs either. I'm being honest I don't even know who is who. Henry Miller is the character that went missing and that's one of the plot points in the games, also why you go down to Pirate Caverns, your searching for him.
With 2.0 canceled, there wouldn't be much Treasure Island content. There was Nightmare Before Disney, a canon spin-off to Treasure Island. It would have taken place within your nightmares and you were dealing with the 2.0 characters. Suicide Mouse was made to be Nightmare Suicide Mouse and was the face of the game. The game was canceled in 2015, the same year 2.0 was canceled. I believe this was the first appearance of Ortensia.
Yeah, these are some of the Nightmare Before Disney designs in a nutshell, edgy disney characters made to look scary and spooky. There would be a new version of NBD in 2016 that would be completely different and outside of Nightmare Suicide Mouse, none of the others would be returning. I would go more in depth but this post is already long as it is. I do love NBD though, it's the most interesting Fnati thing to me. I highly recommend going to the wiki itself to look at Nightmare Before Disney and just Treasure Island stuff in general if you're interested.
The third version of Fnati would be announced, in which there would be an interesting change. Photo Negative Mickey and Minnie were taken out of the game. AnArt was no longer apart of the project as well, now being head by PuritySinners. Because of PuritySinners new lead, she wanted to make merch... so PNM was scrapped and in came a new character, Willy.
Taking on the more classic cartoon look, this is when the lore shifted from mascots to toons. Toons being these weird creatures and not possessed mascot suits. They're like animals kinda. There was also Impure Mouse, replacing Minnie.
Yeah, it's Minnie alright. I got nothing really to say on her, though, honestly, I prefer the versions where PNM wasn't in the game. I felt like it would have made it stand out more. All the other characters were going to appear, Oswald, The Face, Disembodied, Acepholus (although he was never modeled). There was a character named Mortimer that was planned to appear in the game. I don't know if it would have been THE Mortimer Mouse from the cartoon "Mickey's Rival" or if it was something else. Daisy was relegated to an Easter Egg. Undying was meant to appear and GOD had been replaced by someone known as "UO".
They are still female and still look like GOD but they aren't. She has hair, GOD does not... but it's basically GOD. I think she has a connection to The Face from one of the teasers but I'm not sure. There was a planned sequel to this game as well. "Oblitus Casa". All the way back in 2015. There's very little about it outside of a model of The Face labeled "Cabin Face".
Surprisingly this model has been lost to time until it was found when Oblitus Casa (2022) was being made. There were other sequels as well, a new version of Nightmare Before Disney, a game called Project D.I which would have been not related to Fnaf at all, and Oblitus Casa. This version of Fnati was canceled due to drama and a lot of poor decisions. It would later be picked up by StellaWisps and infamous creator of Dormitabis (I game I still quite like), Blackout1912 to create the fourth and my personal favorite version of the game.
The game was quickly canceled due to Stella not having the motivation to finish it but that doesn't mean there wasn't much made. There was a brand new mascot, a character that was planned to replace PNM in 3.0 but was replaced by Willy: MickMick.
I actually quite like 4.0 quite a bit, the designs are good, the building looks good. The gameplay probably would have been the same as previous versions, but it def looked very interesting. MickMick has giant hands, an iconic voice, and a skull inside of his head. He's a Toon still, but he's honestly my favorite of the Toons. Other characters returned, Impure Mouse just got changed to Minnie, Disembodied was going to appear, so was Oswald. Acepholus had been replaced by just Goofy himself.
I a lot of people use this design to create a Shade Goofy design, and I can't blame them. He does look like a Shade character. I do like the weird hands though, and that he has a head now, very different and I like it. There was also a brand new character, planned to be in 3.0 but never got shown off I think, Ortensia!!!
She's like Oswald... but a girl. Nothing really much to say, I like her design. Oswald also now has his face and is not a UV error anymore, which that's always nice. He now matches his girlfriend too, always swell (I think he has an arm in his chest).
There were a set of characters meant to appear in the game as part of the ending, but I'll talk about them in a bit. Undying would also appear as Ketchup man once again, but now, you had a brand new character, the Inhuman.
It had a lot of parts from Henry in him and would go on the attack to kill you. Not much is known on how he would attack BUT he would lead to two different endings, one where you escape the mascot tunnels (which I guess would have been part of the gameplay) and one where you are in the newest version of Nightmare Before Disney's Office, facing off against him.
Yeah, a version of Nightmare Before Disney got completed and released. It's not that great and you can spam shift to blink, which is how you deal with most characters outside of Nightmare Suicide Mouse, which is just don't use the camera often, and Ortensia, which you have to play simon says with her. The Ink-Blots are the main cast of the game and would have appeared in 4.0. I would show them off but I reached the image limit on this post holy fuck is this long I might reach the word limit, but honestly, I love talking about this.
I didn't know much about the fifth version and I'm sure at this point, Casa and the sixth version are the most common known ones at this point. The fifth version however, I will still talk about.
The suits were renamed back to Toons, AnArt came back and so did the Photo Negative characters. Acepholus came back, it was great... wait is that Sparky the dog? Yeah, Sparky the Dog, the Fnaf Hoax, was meant to be in the game. He's an animatronic and if you were to look at his design... it would be something alright. I wish I could show you it, but to not be alone, Alice from Alice In Wonderland is also in the game! As an animatronic too!!! I don't know why animatronics are in the game but they are. GOD was planned to appear (except in one version by Blackout because GOD IS DEAD) and so was Pluto... the game was canceled. There was another version made by AnArt as well I believe but that was also canceled and only a new PNM model was made. There were Easter Egg Nights, an animated cutscene where you ran off the island, it was crazy I tells ya. But GameMaker decided to conk out and not work, basically making AnArt cancel the game and then Radiance picked it up and finished it.
GOD was renamed to Mother and became a Shadow Mickey, Undying was redesigned to not be Ketchup Man but a Mickey costume, The Tree was added (Fnati Multiverse where basically I can say this is official and you can't say I'm wrong), Anniversary Edition was made, 6.0 was released, Casa released with the best Hourglass design (who I didn't mention until now), and now we are on our way to Abandoned Enigma and 6.5. Fnati is still around and still kicking, and I'm surprised by this. Fnati means a lot to people and while I may not be the biggest fan of the gameplay, I really like the characters and designs of the games, so that's what gravitated me the most. I could have talked more, there's the Oddities series, there's Fnati: SL, there's all the teaser games. Addendum, the book which is an official sequel. The other NBD sequels, but honestly, I really think you should all check this series out for yourselves, who knows, you might end up liking it.
Now Jessica, I hear one of you say. Your AU is primarily Fnaf... what the fuck does Mickey Mouse have to do with ANYTHING?!?
This version of Fnati is a little bit different, I pray to god no hardcore Fnati fan finds this because they might just kill me. I probably got some stuff wrong here anyway :skull:. However, there aren't any real big ties to Fnaf here, just one that I managed to tie in. Just a small one, it's mostly self contained. Without further ado, let's get into it.
With the opening of Treasure Island in 1974, there was always something that was off about the island. This wasn't anything that hadn't been seen before. Disney had always had trouble with strange and paranormal incidents. Many people have noticed things that, as eye witnesses have reported, are "acts of god". Two teenagers at the age of 17 had been chased out of an attraction at DisneyLand one time, reporting to see what looked like a Mickey Costume with "human eyes". It talked and said things before lashing out and the two, causing them to run away and get the staff. Police had shown up and requested the two kids show them where it happened. Upon entering the attraction, a smell hit their noses and they found the corpse of a costumed entertainer trapped inside the suit. While the incident had scarred them, their enthusiasm for the Disney brands never wavered. In fact, because of the two's passions for the cartoons and characters, William Afton and Henry Emily became friends and vowed to change the world together with their own characters, just like Walt had done.
Back to Treasure Island, this was when most of the incidents that could only be described as paranormal had occurred. A lack of care on the island as well as people witnessing what looked to be an entity that switched between human and the cartoon mouse at will. Not to mention one of the children ran out screaming after what she described as "Scary Mickey" had been noticed around jungle ride of the attraction. Costume performers had disappeared, costumes began to smell, the island was deemed cursed and no one would enter it. Disney tried and tried to get the island back in order, closing down attractions like Mowgli's Palace and opened new ones, Alice's Diner with an Alice animatronic, Mickey's Jungle Walkway where you could walk through the jungle with Mickey as your guide. The more they tried, the more it failed and eventually in 1999, access to the island was cut off... but the events did not stop there.
People found ways to access the island and have all had their stories, one man found a Mickey costume that was photo negative and said he took off his head and what could only be described as "yellow blood" leaked from the head. Dead carcasses of animals ended up on the beaches of Walt Disney World. Animals that could only be seen on the island. When cruising past the island, some people have noted that they have seen what appeared to be inky creatures that resembled Disney's pride characters. Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Pete the Cat, and many more. The Shadow Mickey sightings have appeared across the Walt Disney World park. Paranormal events weren't exactly uncommon in the world, across the sixties to the nineties, places like Colorado, Utah, Texas, and many other states were hit with crazed terrors that could only be described as paranormal. Because of these occurrences, a group of people teamed up to create the Supernatural Studies Association, dedicated to solving these mysteries that could only be described as paranormal. They tackled many of projects but none as big as Treasure Island. The Walt Disney company had contacted the SSA to help discover what is truly going on. There weren't many incidents like this until Treasure Island had opened.
Henry Miller, one of the Associations best employees was sent to the island to scout it out, however, when it was time for him to report back, he never returned. The team went frantic but soon sent someone else over, an intern named Jake Smith. Jake had been an avid fan of a lot of things, but the one thing he loved above all, was Disney movies. He loved Disney movies with all his heart and he couldn't wait to watch more. As a seventeen year old, he got an internship with the SSA to help him get proper work experience so he knew what he was getting into when he grew up. Jake was soon tasked with going over to the island for a minimum of three weeks. He didn't think much of it... until he set foot onto the island. He felt a hit of grief and sadness wash over him, but another wave of angry and lust. He continued to stay on the island... but that's when things went downhill.
Jake started to set up his things around the island, tents, sleeping bags, and of course, the security equipment. He was supposed to be looking for Henry and studying the island. He set up the cameras in a nearby employee facility where he heard from others that was where most of the sightings had been seen according to eyewitness reports of Disney employees who had visited the island after it closed. It was 2003, and it closed in 1999. Disney had sent down an employee each year to check out the island. Jake hadn't noticed anything on his first few days at the island and continued to explore the ruins of the old attractions. Mickey's Jungle Walkway had been taken by nature, the bridges were mostly destroyed so Jake couldn't walk along the walkway much. There was graffiti on the ground that said "Abandoned By Disney". Walking past Mowgli's Palace he found what remained of the Photo Negative Mickey mascot costume he heard so much about. It was in shambles, the fabric had been peeling off. It was covered in the yellow blood (that Jake thought smelled more like puke) and there was no body inside. Either Disney came in, or the body decided to take off the costume and walk away.
Jake checked out Alice's Diner to see the same thing as the other A and B list attractions on the island, it was broken and tattered. He did get jumpscared while walking around though. The animatronic had been left to rot and the plastic shell and basically been fallen off on the Alice animatronic, so when he opened the Parts and Service Room, the endoskeleton fell out. He growled in annoyance but still didn't find any signs of Henry. He decided to check out the employee building for the second part of the job he was doing down here, aside from looking for Henry. His goal, was to monitor the entities on the island. Jake had heard about them, but he had never seen them until his first night, he had gotten a call from Greg, one of the members of the SSA. They talked about the Toons and how they didn't know exactly what they were. They knew they couldn't hear well and shutting off a camera would attract them to the room where the camera was shut off. After the call was over, Jake met the first Toon, Photo Negative Mickey. He was confused, wasn't there only one that was talked about? The mascot suit, was this... the body in the suit? Jake defended himself by shutting off the cameras. The next night, Oswald came out to play alongside a melted Donald Duck head. Lisa called him to tell him about the footage he sent over that morning and to fix some things Greg had messed up on. Lisa described the Toons as "Watch Dogs" and that something was controlling them, but they still didn't know how they were made or who made them.
Jake looked around every attraction for Henry while also making sure he had time to sleep and survive the night. On his third night, a photo negative version of Minnie appeared, alongside a headless Goofy. These toons acted differently, he had to hide under the desk for them. About 3am, Jake heard a voice calling for him. Jake felt entranced by the voice and got up, making his way down to an unfinished attraction Jake had never heard of, Pirate Caverns. Pirate Caverns had Mickey themed pirate drawings and many mannequins dressed up as pirates. There were many signs for construction around there as well as sightings of a legless Mickey Mouse creature. It dripped ink everywhere it went and was climbing into the vents to get around. As Jake made his way through Pirate Caverns, he came across... it. A shapeshifting creature. He saw it shift from human to a shadowy Mickey Mouse with the blink of an eye. Before he could take a picture of it, he was snatched away by a red hand and shushed. The man in red looked back to make sure they weren't followed, but Jake had ran off. His fourth night, the man drenched in blood came after him, muttering things under his breath. Lisa told Jake not to interact with it, as she and Greg were coming to the island. He also started to encounter the shapeshifting entity, it was always giggling and whispering something that Jake could never make out. On Jake's sixth and hopefully final night there, he encountered something. The Toons had combined to become a monster. The monster chased Jake all around the island, never giving Jake a wink of sleep. The only differences he saw were the legless Mickey Toon and the red man.
Jake ended up secluding himself in a cabin, in which the entity revealed herself fully. She was the God of the island, and he was trespassing. He showed images of what was going to happen to his friends and him if they showed up. Jake couldn't allow the other members to die, not by him. He called up the SSA and told them to hold off on coming here for at least one more week. Jake would find that he would be attacked once again by Toons he never met, a grayscale Mickey Toon that used TV's to move around the cabin on the first night. A daisy duck head on the second night. A grayscale Pete that would hide in the attic on the third night. The legless Mickey Toon on the fourth night, and on the final night, the monster came back. It absorbed the Toons once more and went on the attack, using it's God to help them. Jake would survive the night once again... but things would be different.
It was like time had reversed itself, he was back on the island again. He went through the motions once more, but it stopped earlier and looped. Things were different, the Photo Negatives were gone, now replaced by a grayscale Mickey and normal version of Minnie. It looped, time was... looping. Over and over again. He didn't know if things were different or not. Characters changed, scenarios were different. He made it to different places, but in the end, they all led back to the same place. A loop that never ended, greetings from friends and family, jumpscares from the Toons, monsters killing him. It was just one giant neverending loop. By the time he made it to what he hoped was the final loop, he was ready to end it. He used the lighter to burn the monster underground, and that was when the God revealed herself once more. She screamed at him, angrily. She finally revealed the truth. She, alike many paranormal incidents that happened with Disney, was an entity created by Disney's corporate greed. The greed had finally started to affect the world around it, causing all the vital emotions that Disney had created with it's cartoons, parks, and attractions to come to life one way or another. Some things were born from happiness, some things were born from anger. Mother was born from anger, and when people tresspassed on the island, hurting her creations, she turned them to watch dogs to fight back. And now, it was her turn.
This was the loop that Jake had gotten the furthest, someone was leaving notes for him, helping him out to defend himself. His friends were dead, they made it to the island, something he tried to never let happen, but it happened. They were dead. And now, so were the rest of the Toons, except the legless Mickey. He was still around in the attic, and he looked worse for wear. Deteriorating, he needed Jake to survive, his skin at least. Jake had to defend himself from GOD and The legless Mickey and once he did, he burnt it all. The entity screamed and reached out to Jake, but it didn't matter. Jake had awoken, struggling and turning. He almost fell off the boat. Lisa and Greg helped him gain control. They had said that he was gone for quite a while, and no one knew how he survived. But they heard there was a fire on the island and they found him. Jake blinked, he was confused. Did... time loop over again?
Making it back to the SSA, Jake learned what had been going on with Disney all these years. Their corporate greed allowed some sort of effect to take ahold of them, and this effect managed to enhance the emotional status of the park more than most paranormal circumstances would, and brought to life the creatures. Henry had recorded everything, and Jake managed to kill one of the big ones. Henry had never been found and as for Jake... he went to therapy for a long time.
That's the story of Treasure Island for this AU! It's a lot to unpack and it's not going to be touched upon, maybe a few little nods here and there, but will not be touched upon. This isn't the big rules for how the supernatural plain works, as well as emotions work in this AU, but think of it as a taste of what's to come (aside from the corporate greed thing lol. I kept that from the main Fnati story because it just made sense). Happy 10th Birthday Fnati. You have a lot of respect from me and I can't wait to see what's to come.

MATE, I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO REMEMBERED DORMITABIS! Man, I love that game's animatronics, Golden Call in special has a place in my heart. Also yeah, the first incarnation of Sugar was less than...original. But I am guilty of having accidentally fall in love with her later incarnations, what can I say? She's a gentlewoman, and I love her. ~ TRTF!Anon
Oh my heart is with BOA and Soulcage fjfjfjdj
And also the Havoc BB who never made it into the final game 😔😔😔
But that's valid haha

Irrelevant to everything and anything, but I’ve decided that I am going to treat myself and open TRTF with June hovering awkwardly at the edge of a millionaire’s party while she tries to find an opening to steal the book. Also, this means that there can, should, and will be some lovely soft butch aesthetics (June is a suit!! a white button-down and a vest!! well-worn leather boots that almost look like they fit the aesthetic but super don’t!) in the opening scenes, and I think that’s very sexy of me.
#i usually hate beginnings but i feel ok about this one#opening with the scene where june steals the book opens the story quite nicely#aj's adventures in writing#wip: the road that follows#i have like. legit notes on how this scene will go#& ik enough about the story now that my story map is going to change considerably#but that is a price i'm willing to pay

like. to explain this a touch better:
if you’re like me and get an idea for character and Nothing Else, then consider playing around with the character, see what makes them tick, what you want to do with them, and build up a loose idea of their character arc.
to use TRTF as an example, i had June and Winnie. i knew that i wanted to do a slow burn, enemies-to-lovers vibe with heavy road-trip aesthetics. i knew that i wanted June and Winnie to be opposite sides of the same coin. i knew that they would need to work through a lot of shit before they would be able to fall in love. so i mapped out (in my head) what that would look like. then i messed around a bit, wrote some drabbles to explore the progression of their relationship. still not much by way of plot, but i had a clearer idea of many things that needed to happen. then i sat down, put those character moments on a timeline, and began figuring out what needed to happen to tie each point together. et voila! a plot appears
word of advice?
if you’re the sort of writer who gets characters but not plot, start by sorting out your character’s growth. what’s their problem? how does it shape them? where do they end up?
while this is by no means a fix-all, chances are good that you’ll start to find hints of plot when you figure out where to take your character. also, it’s just a Lot easier to put together a plot when you already have something to work off of.
#aj's advice#i'm so tired y'all i'm sorry#the trazodone hangover really is killing me and it's just not going away#me @ my doc: yeah i have a lot of trouble sleeping#my doc: ok how about i give u a med that makes u want to sleep 24/7#me: ok but lets consider... NOT doing that#i talk to him on thursday and i will be requesting a medication that is less well known for making ppl groggy all day as well as sleepy at n#ight

Can i just say that Reading your sequel to TRTF is great, i really love it but im a bit concerned that you're gonna make Robert some object with no personality with no option to back out of his master/slave relationship with Aaron. I know that's what Robert wants but ive always thought of Aaron to be more careful and idk i suppose that underneath the master/slave relationship there was still an aspect of Aaron/Robert or boyfriends together. Idk just please don't turn rob into a mindless object
I’m rubbish at seeing messages, sorry only responding now. Robert will never become just a mindless object. He might be used as one when they scene but what he wants and where they will go with this will bring them closer and make even everyday things more intimate. Robert will still have his own personality, Aaron will never want to change that. His funny sassy mischievous side won’t disappear, promise
