So I’m back in college later in life. I actually was stuck at home until recently because of debilitating health issues that cleared up for no apparent reason almost overnight a couple years ago. I am now in better health and look younger and fitter than I was in my “prime”. Unfortunately I was too sick when I was in my prime to do the kinds of things many young adults do like college and such.
I’ve been on my own for a couple years gaining work experience and I finally got accepted into what seems like a real solid community college but it’s so late in life. I like the vibe there and have met many of the staff and a few professors already. They seem like the kind of people who really care about helping their students succeed.
The upside is that since I’m older I have a solid idea what I want to do and it’s not something I need a 4 year degree for anyway. Still it’s a bit awkward because the place I’m living in is kind of student housing. You don’t need to be a student to live here but most are.
My roommates are all younger than me and really curious about my age. They all think I’m like 20 but I’m actually much, much older. I’m actually probably older than this entire part of town which was mostly built in the early 2000s.
My appearance hasn’t changed much with age aside from changes to my wardrobe and hairstyle but god is this awkward! Like how do I explain I’m practically a thousand years old, I just happen look 20? I’m exaggerating. I’m not actually that old no really but God do I feel like it sometimes with all the shit I’ve seen.
I’m both excited and sort of nervous about the new semester. I hope I won’t be the only older person there. Although this is seriously awkward because already a few early-20s gay guys from a neighboring college (there’s like 3 or 4 colleges in this area alone) have hit on me thinking I was their age. Obviously I turned them down.
And I also want to take part in student organizations and clubs but won’t it be awkward if I’m the only old fart there?

We Live for Love - Part 1
We Live for Love – Part 1
Fic Summary: Eddie is recovering in the hospital where you’re volunteering. The whole town may have shunned him but you refuse to do the same. Masterpost.
Fic Rating: 18+
Pairing: Eddie Munson/Female Reader
Warnings: Slow Burn, Eventual Smut, Language, Season Finale Spoilers
Fic Song: We Live for Love by Pat Benatar. Full fic playlist on Spotify.
Tumblr media
A/N: Alright, so I had the idea, and because I can’t seem to help myself I started writing. This is definitely a fix-it fic because our boy deserved so much better! I’m not sure how many parts this is going to be. Probably somewhere around three or so. This fic is eventually going to have smut which is why it’s 18+. Minors DNI!
Tumblr media
You never thought you would actually see an apocalypse up close.
At least, that’s what you feel happened. One minute you’re closing up the shop for the night and the next large flaming red cracks are splitting the road apart and everything is shaking like crazy. By the time it’s done, everything around you is in ruins.
You escape relatively unscathed. The same cannot be said for the rest of Hawkins. You aren’t even supposed to be there. Your plan was to go to the local community college for a year before moving on to a bigger university.
Yeah, that never happened.
School isn’t your thing. Maybe it had been when you were younger but it definitely isn’t now and you have no idea what you want to do with your life. You gave up after a year and found your way back home. You got a job at the town bookstore and spent the year working, reading, and generally having more fun than you’ve ever had in your entire life. It’s like, as soon as the weight of expectations was lifted, you were finally able to breathe.
And then the world ended.
You don’t have too many skills that can be useful. You choose to volunteer at the hospital since it was the busiest and full to the brim with victims. With so many people missing or presumed dead, they need all the help they can get. Occasionally, you help orderlies stock rooms or change linens, but mostly you try to help the patients pass the time.
Today is no exception. You get there a little later than you anticipate. The roads that aren’t torn up are filled with people leaving or emergency vehicles responding. You’ve taken to walking because it’s the quickest way to get around. When you arrive, you put your bag down behind the nurse’s station.
“Any new rooms added to the list?” you ask, pulling your book cart out where it was jammed into the corner, kept out of the way.
The nurse puts a slip of paper in your hand with a list of rooms. Most of the hospital is being run by generators so anything non-essential, like TV, isn’t available in patient rooms. You volunteered to pass books out to those reading to loved ones or people who are stuck recovering. It’s not much but it’s what you can offer. The bookstore and your little apartment above it barely survived the catastrophe. Your landlord and manager didn’t which left the store to you. At least, you assume as much. No one cares enough right now to argue.
Every morning you gather a bundle of books and deliver them throughout the hospital to lend out. You’ve also donated several boxes to the school which is now a shelter.
You scan the list in your hand and notice it skips over a room number. “Hey, what about room twenty?”
“You don’t need to go in there.”
“Why not?”
“That’s where Eddie Munson is.”
Shit. Eddie is here?
You knew Eddie from school and were in the same year until you graduated and he was held back. You even spoke to him on occasion but that was as far as it went. He had his Hellfire club and, though you’d been interested in Dungeons and Dragons, the fact that it was all guys didn’t exactly make you feel comfortable enough to give it a try. At least not while in high school. You played a bit in college and even stocked a section of the bookstore with D&D stuff. Before the stupid Satanic Panic set in and you had to take it all down.
“Why shouldn’t I go in? Is he in bad shape?”
The nurse makes a face. “You know what they say about him right?”
“That he’s innocent,” you remind her. “Remember, the Sinclair kids said that Jason Carver was behind everything. He was even seen buying weapons and ammo. They found a stash in his car. He knew the victims. It all fits.”
“Well, yes, that’s what they say,” the nurse says. “But, that Munson kid…”
“Didn’t do anything wrong.”
The nurse doesn’t look convinced. “If you want to go in there, be my guest.”
You add Eddie’s room to your list, more than a little annoyed at the nurse. People like her remind you why you wanted to get out of Hawkins in the first place. You make your rounds, checking in with patients you’ve come to know and introducing yourself to new ones.
Lucas Sinclair is still by Max Mayfield’s bedside. He’s reading from the book you brought him yesterday, so rather than interrupt, you leave two more on the table next to him. He gives you a grateful smile and you move on.
You don’t know why you save Eddie’s room for last.
Maybe because you’re not sure how your presence will be received. Maybe you’re a little intimidated. Or maybe because you still harbor a very slight crush on him. That last part surprises you. You aren’t expecting the feelings to come rushing back and they had the second that nurse said his name. It’s been two years. You thought you were over your feelings but apparently not.
You give yourself a pep talk, tell yourself to get it together because you doubt he remembers you. You shared a couple of classes once upon a time. It’s then that you realize it’s been about five minutes and you’re starting to get funny looks standing there in the hallway.
Taking a deep breath, you push your cart to the half-closed door and knock.
“Come in.”
You push the door open with your cart.
“Henderson, seriously, I appreciate it but you don’t have to come to see me every…” Eddie turns to look at you and his smile fades a little. “…day.”
“Hey, Eddie.”
He says your name and it’s so soft, so tender, it takes your breath away. He clearly remembers you. And if the way his eyes are taking you in, your presence is greatly appreciated. You stare into his eyes, seeing a flood of emotion. You’re not exactly sure which emotions because you’re too busy taking him in as well.
He looks good. Well, as good as someone in the hospital who’s covered in bandages can look. He’s wearing a hospital gown but you can see his arms are wrapped in gauze and so is his forehead. Other than that, and some bruising on his face, he’s relatively intact.
“Hey! Um…wh-what are you, um, doing here?” He adjusts himself against the head of the bed and folds his arms, trying to appear nonchalant and chill.
“Volunteering,” you say, motioning to the books. “Thought you could use some company. Mind if I stay?”
“Yeah, I mean, no, no I don’t mind. Yes, please stay.” It’s cute to see him flustered and babbling. You’ve never seen him that way before. “I didn’t think you were still around.”
“I wasn’t. Not for a year or so but I’ve been back for a while now.”
“Cool, cool,” Eddie nods as if you’ve said the most interesting thing in the world. “What have you been up to?”
“You mean before the apocalypse?”
He grins. That wide goofy grin that is somehow more adorable than you remember. “Yeah, before that.”
“Not much. I work at that little bookstore on East Street. Well, I guess I own it now.” Your hands fidget on the handle of the cart. Your heart is racing and you have no idea how to get it to stop. You think for a second before taking the empty chair in the corner of the room and dragging it over next to his bed. You sit down. “What about you? You seem like you’re doing well for a murdering Satanic cult leader.”
He rolls his eyes. “So you heard about all that?”
“Oh yeah.”
He gives you a look out of the corner of his eye. “And yet you’re still talking to me.”
“Even before Jason Carver was found out I knew you didn’t do it,” you say, waving your hand dismissively. “Never believed the police for a second.”
“Why not?”
You study him as he stares at you with those big eyes and your heart melts even more. “It just…didn’t seem like you,” you tell him. “Besides, the whole thing with D&D being satanic is just bullshit. I’ve played and I never once worshiped Satan.”
“Then you must not have played it right.”
You know he’s joking. He can’t keep himself from grinning when he says it and it makes you laugh. “Maybe not. I was actually thinking of doing D&D nights at the bookstore once things calm down a little. You know, give some people an outlet to deal with all this.”
“Count me in.”
He says it without hesitation, without even a second thought. The conversations between you had been simple in school but you don’t remember them being this easy. It’s like no time has passed at all. Like you’re talking to an old close friend.
“I actually have a confession to make,” you say. “I really wanted to join Hellfire when I was in school.”
Just when you think his eyes can’t get wider, he gives you a wide-eyed stare. “Come on, you’re messing with me!” he says.
“Nope, I swear, it’s true.”
“Why didn’t you?”
“You and your buddies didn’t exactly seem open to a chick joining.”
“I would have totally let you join!”
You laugh again. “Oh, really? You would have let a newbie just roll a new character and stumble her way through a game.”
“Of course!” He gives you a lopsided grin. “I would have even offered private tutoring after.”
Your face grows warm. As does the rest of you. This is not how you anticipated this talk to go. In fact, he’s a hell of a lot more upbeat than you would guess he would be. Never in a million years did you think he would be so happy to see you. Or would be so flirty. Was he always this flirty? Well, yeah now that you think about it, he was. But you always assumed that’s just the way he was. Maybe you were wrong.
“So, what happened?” you ask, clearing your throat and trying to think of anything other than how much you want to lay a kiss on that adorable smile of his. You motion to his injuries, which he glances down at.
“Oh, you know, earthquake stuff.”
He doesn’t elaborate and you get the sense that he doesn’t want to. Doesn’t matter. He’s here and seems in relatively good spirits. Definitely more upbeat than he probably has any right to be feeling. You wouldn’t be smiling if you had to deal with the whole town thinking you did something you didn’t, especially while trying to recover from what looks like serious injuries.
“Well, not sure how long you’re stuck in here, but I have books!” You pull your cart over, remembering the whole reason you’re supposed to be there.
“Sweet! What do you have?”
You reach onto the shelf and pull out The Fellowship of the Ring. “Something tells me this is right up your alley.”
He pumps his fist excitedly before winces in pain. “Aw, shit!” he exclaims, clutching his side.
Instinctively you reach for him, your hand touching his as you lean in. “Are you okay?”
It’s like a jolt of electricity shoots from his touch. Your entire body comes alive and you’re suddenly super aware of everything about him. Those eyes, those lips, that smile, the proximity of his body. His eyes find yours and you two stare at each other in silence. You’ve never been this close to Eddie, never touched him in any way. It’s like you two are magnets, being drawn together by an invisible force.
“I’m good. Especially now that you’re here,” he says. It’s soft, barely above a whisper. His fingers link with yours and you swear your heart actually stops.
Everything around you fades and goes silent, the only sounds are your labored breathing and Eddie’s shallow breaths. Fuck. Fuck. All you need to do is lean in. His lips are RIGHT THERE. You feel yourself leaning forward before your brain can second guess. Eddie moves too, gently caressing your chin with his thumb…
“Hey, Eddie! I brought you some comics!”
The door suddenly bangs open and you jump back with a start. Eddie does too, wincing again and swearing under his breath as he grips his bandaged torso. You turn your head to see a young kid standing there, arms full of comics. Well, kid isn’t exactly the right word. He’s definitely younger than you and Eddie by a couple of years but probably is around the age of a freshman. He doesn’t notice you until he looks up from the pile of comics in his arms. Only then does his mouth falls open.
“Oh…sorry,” he says, looking between the two of you.
“No worries, I should probably get going anyway.”
You’re chickening out. Yup, that’s exactly what you’re going to do. The air has been sucked out of the room, your heart is racing, and your head is spinning. Eddie stares as you get to your feet and grab your cart. You motion to the book which lays forgotten next to him on the bed where he dropped it.
“Enjoy.”
Before you can move, he reaches out to gently grab your wrist. “Are you coming back tomorrow?” he asks.
Fuck, those big puppy dog eyes. That hopeful look. How can you say no? It’s not like you were going to anyway. “First thing in the morning,” you say. “See ya, Munson.”
You push your cart past the kid who is mostly still standing in the door and has to jump out of the way to let you go. Once outside the room, you can breathe a little better but your heart is still racing. It’s like your entire body is doused in flames and nothing is going to put them out. You suck in a lung full of air, leaning against the wall for support.
Where the fuck did that come from?! Okay, you know where it came from on your end but, fuck, dude. Almost kissing Eddie Munson was not on the list of things you assumed would happen today. Part of you is supremely pissed you were interrupted. That kiss is years in the making, alright. You’ve been fantasizing about it longer than you can remember.
Apparently, you’re not the only one pissed. From inside the room, you hear Eddie’s voice raise several octaves.
“God damn it, Henderson! You have the worst timing!”

A/N: Happy December 1st everyone 🥰 The first chapter of this story. We hope you like it!
The Advent Calendar (a.k.a. the masterlist)
Tumblr media
I think I just broke up with my boyfriend.
Not that I’m surprised or anything. Ian and I have broken up multiple times before back in the past, but deep down I always knew that it was inevitable for us to actually stay broken up. We always ended up back together.
However this really feels permanent.
Like there is nothing we can do to mend it. The words that were exchanged, the looks we gave one another, that felt like there was a definite end to our tumultuous relationship.
I stare out of the window of my New York City apartment, looking over the busy streets. Tons of people going their merry way, maybe dealing with their own issues, maybe living on top of the world now. Whatever is going on in their minds, no one worries about my broken relationship.
Just me.
It feels so wrong to see that couple over there living their best life, while I’m wondering whether or not I am ever going to be happy again.
I’ve lived in New York since I was seventeen. First in sleazy dorms, sharing it with other girls, then a studio with barely enough room to move my ass around and now in an apartment. It’s a well deserved growth I’ve gone through. Going to college for Creative Writing had been a dream of mine ever since high school. Stories are my world. Storytelling is all I’m capable of doing.
My hard work paid off, because at the age of twenty four, after working two side jobs to pay for the studio, I sent off my manuscript to a publishing house and got signed pretty fast afterwards. The book that originally started out as a standalone, quickly became a duology and the VERIFIED series hit the number three spot on the New York Times Bestselling list, an accomplishment I never expected to reach so soon. I realized how lucky I was. Going on book tour after book tour. Attending book conference after book conference. It was so wonderful and marvelous to be able to experience all of this, but mostly because I got to share it with someone.
And that someone was Ian.
And now, my last book in the GAME OVER trilogy has been published and I’m empty. No inspiration, meaning no upcoming book, meaning no book conferences and tours.
Why am I so drained? It feels so meaningless, because what is my life without stories? Stories are the one thing that have been serving as a constant throughout my life. Ian was never constant. Where I lived was never constant. My home when I was younger was never constant.
Me being an author was.
But now I’m an author with no inspiration.
In other words: I am a nothing.
Mindlessly, I stroll around my apartment, hoping that something can distract me from my racing thoughts, me breaking up with Ian for real. I open the closet in my room, only to discover my very first suitcase, the one I bought in a town neighboring to my own hometown Sapphire Falls. Now I use it to store up memories. Things I can’t lose. Things I don’t want to lose.
Maybe something in here can spark up some inspiration.
I manage to place it on my bed, before I unzip the suitcase with white daisies on it. I remember when I hopped in my friend Sy’s truck, to go to another town to buy me this suitcase. He was staying in Sapphire Falls, while I was going to New York. He told me he wanted to help me out, help me prepare for my departure.
‘Liv,’ he said, when I was looking at the different types of suitcases, ‘this one is perfect for you.’ Like it weighed nothing—Sy was always way too strong, thanks to the physical work on his family farm—he held up the suitcase with one hand. ‘Don’t you like daisies?’
Picture after picture of me and my three best friends are stored in this suitcase. We were inseparable in high school, but despite us promising to each other we would always remain friends, we unfortunately drifted apart. While I know that Chris went off and is now a professional basketball player at the Chicago Bulls, I have no idea whatever happened to Abigail and Caleb Syverson.
And then there it is. A picture of us right before prom. The four of us all together, all happy and dressed up. We went to the Honey Bee Ranch—the family farm of the Syverson family—and me and Abigail did our hair and make-up there and got dressed up. Dottie Syverson insisted on taking a lot of pictures and despite all her efforts, this is the only one where Sy isn’t frowning, but is actually laughing.
Goodness, I really do miss them. Sapphire Falls, no matter how harsh it was growing up there as one of the only Asian kids and how difficult it was to be my parents’ child, that place was always my home.
Will always be my home.
Christmas time in Sapphire Falls was without exception great. The lights, the trees, the all-round jolliness around. No matter how amazing Christmas is in New York City, it’s nothing compared to Sapphire Falls.
I could just do it, you know.
I open my laptop and search for possibilities of me going back there. There is a small hotel there and they have multiple rooms left.
Livia Darmandi, think about this. You're not going to spend Christmas here with anybody. You broke up with Ian, so no Christmas with his family and besides that, you barely have friends here.
Maybe I should go home.

A loud sigh escapes my mouth as I open another, annoying, e-mail from one of our suppliers. If you thought farm life was only about shoveling shit and petting cute animals all day, you couldn’t have been more wrong. I mean, yes, I had the privilege to pet very cute goats every day but most part of my day was spent behind my laptop. Doing Honey Bee Farm’s administration, keeping track of deliveries, meeting with potential buyers; you get it, boring stuff.
One more e-mail, I think to myself while my eye spots a butterfly landing on the wooden bench outside my window. Slowly I reach for my camera, which is always on or near me, and I quickly shoot a few shots before it flutters away. Completely forgetting about the e-mail I’m supposed to answer, I get up and grab my coat.
The chilly air greets me as I leave the kitchen (also my workspace) and step outside. With my camera ready in hand, I walk towards our meadow. The cows are happily grazing, I hear the chickens fighting but the one thing that catches my attention are the bleating goats. I walk over to their enclosure, and their bleating gets even louder. To this day it still amazes me how Sy let me have these animals. He hated them furiously. He wouldn’t come near them, and he shouldn’t, because the goats didn’t like him as well. I let out a snickers about the thought, and pet the smallest goat, Honey. She was born just a few weeks ago, and stole the show the second she was born. Her mother approaches as well, and I take a few pictures of them.
The sun was setting slowly, and the sky turned orange and pink. I think I have taken a million pictures of the sun setting above our meadow, yet I still take a few extra. Taking pictures is something I have done since I laid a hand on a camera. When I was ten, my parents gave me my first camera. It was small, so I carried it with me everywhere I went. I’m not exaggerating when I say I have captured every nook and corner of Sapphire Falls.
Ever since I got that camera I wanted to be a photographer. But then life happened, and the place I called home needed me. Honey Bee Farm had already taken a hit when my father died, but when my mom died, I knew I had to step up. Sy had been the man of the farm since our father died, but he couldn’t do it without my mom or me. So when our mom passed away, I set aside my own dreams. There was no way I could abandon Sy. He needed me. And I needed him.
A loud groan pulls me out of my thoughts. I sigh deeply. This sounded like Sy was trying to do something alone while he shouldn’t. He didn’t like to ask for my help, even though I was more than capable of doing so. He sometimes pretends to forget I’m just as big and strong as him, just to protect me.
I walk around the main house, and see Sy standing over giant pieces of logs. ‘You really think you can carry those alone, you idiot?’ I yell while putting down my expensive camera along with my coat. While I don’t mind helping around the farm and getting dirty, no way I’m willingly going to destroy my camera or pretty clothes.
‘I don’t need your help,’ Sy muffles under his breath while wrapping his hands around a log easily twice his size. I shake my head, and quickly grab the other end. Together we carry the log inside the barn.
‘See? A bit easier when we do it together uh?’ I laugh. Sy doesn’t say a word, but lets me help nevertheless. A few minutes later all the logs are carried inside the barn, and we stand next to each other while we watch the sun finally leaving our sight.
‘I’ll go start dinner, so you can try and save those nails of yours,’ Sy smiles. I scoffed, and acted offended, but when he walked inside I looked down at my hands. What if I could just hold a camera all day?

Make You Silly ~ JJK [M] [Request]
Tumblr media
WORD COUNT: 4K
GENRE: Smut, Non Idol!Au, Musician Jungkook, professor reader, unprotected sex, hotel room, teasing, oral (female receiving)
PAIRING: Jungkook x Fem!Reader
A/N: I hope this was okay for you!! I didn’t know which subject to go with so I went with something from a show I’ve been watching aha @fluffyjoons
Tumblr media
To say that you were nervous would be a complete understatement, you were petrified of going up there to give a speech to a bunch of college kids that were all going to be watching you. Waiting for you to tell them why you were the best tutor for them to take your course and why you would be better than the other tutor's other college's have to offer. Including this prestigious college that you would be speaking at, they were the best of the best and yet you didn't work for them. Mostly because you wanted to stay at the same university as your boyfriend - Jeon Jungkook. He was a music tutor, the best of the best in his field of study. Your sweet boyfriend who you'd dragged along with you to speak at this university, with the promise that you would take him sightseeing before you left tomorrow to go home. The university had put you up in a hotel for the night seeing as though it was a long drive back home to your town.
"You're overthinking it," Jungook mumbled when he walked into the room holding two take away cups. He always founds you this way when something was playing on your mind, he knew you were scared about doing this alone which was why he'd agreed to come. He slipped you a takeaway cup with your favourite hot drink inside and took a sip of his own before placing it down on the table backstage.
"You'll be fine baby, you're a genius." He chuckled as he saw you peaking out from backstage, the huge lecture theatre seemed to be filling up minute by minute. Students were looking around the room for any sign what this was about. Jungkook placed his head in your neck as he hugged you from behind, doing anything he could to make you less anxious about this.
"Easy for you to say, you don't have to go up there and give a huge speech." You grumbled as you began to play with the skin around your nails, Jungkook placed his hands over yours to stop you and sighed softly at you. He knew that there wasn't a single thing he could say or do to make you feel better right now but he would do whatever he could to try.
"You've practised this a million times, the boys loved it remember." The boys. His best friends who were also tutors at the university you all worked in back home. Where you wanted to be right now. You had been working on this speech for weeks, practising it every second you could to both Jungkook and the boys as well as to your own students. All of them agree it was perfect but there were more students in this whole lecture theatre then there would ever be back home which made you more anxious thinking about it all.
"Are you ready Miss y/l/n?" One of the other professors questioned you but you just took in her appearance. She looked so much more professional than you did, she was dressed in a pencil skirt with a blouse while you opted for Jeans and a comfy sweater. The only time you ever wore something like she was wearing was when you had board meetings or were called in to help with a case. You had to be professional in that aspect since you were working with police and FBI sometimes.
"As I'll ever be," You whispered to her as you looked at Jungkook, he squeezed your hands softly as the tutor went out onto the stage to introduce you.
"I've seen a couple of them with your books...They already love you." Jungkook whispered as he began staring into your eyes to make sure you were okay. You wanted to do this, bringing more people into your field would be one of the best things to happen but you also didn't want to bore them with facts on facts.
Tumblr media
"Hello I'm professor Y/l/n, but please don't ever call me that. You can all call me Y/n, or I'll come up with a nickname for myself I guess." You were starting to babble on a little like you did whenever you were nervous but you took a deep breath and began looking at everyone. Trying to remind yourself why you were doing this and what it was that you did for a living. This was nothing compared to what you had done in your life and your profession.
"Some of you are probably really interested in criminology while some of you-" You made eye contact with the ones who looked bored or that were being forced to be there.
"- Well you look bored or that you're being held here against your will. I promise you that this course, what I do for a living will not bore you. In fact, it will open your eyes to things. Make you realise that you probably don't know people as well as you think you do." You began explaining that what you did wasn't just criminology but that you also worked on analysing behaviours for certain people or certain types of people.
A hand rose towards the back of the class and you nodded at him, telling him to speak up. He was around 6''2 with brown hair to the length of his neck. He had huge glasses on his face and a notebook in his hand, he was clearly one of the ones that wanted to be there.
"You're like those guys on the TV, the ones that study serial killers and the way their minds work?" You nodded at him as he slowly sank back down into his seat scribbling away onto the notebook, he was probably just as nervous as you had been since most of the theatre had turned to look at him. You knew what that felt like, to have all eyes on you so you began to talk more on it if it meant they would become more engaged with you.
"Yes actually, exactly that. Do you mind if I borrow this?" You questioned one of the females who was sitting in the front row beside Jungkook, her hair was styled just like yours and she was wearing a pair of glasses similar to yours as well. In her hands was your book, sticky notes sticking out of the side where you assumed she'd taken notes of things. She slid it over to you carefully and you picked it up in your hands staring at the cover.
"I study criminal's behaviours, what makes their mind tick, what sets them off and what from their childhood could turn them into what they were." You held up the book in the air, showing off the white cover with a skull on the middle.
"This is one of the many things I do. I compile all of my information into books, this is just one of them...I have many." The book you were holding was one of the first you'd ever written, 'Talking with Serial Killers'. Inside was an introduction to the behavioural work you did along with real interviews with real serial killers that you had conducted yourself.

After the speech about what your course was about, there was still some time left over so you decided to ask if any of them had any questions. By which time all of the students seemed to be gripped on what you did for a living and wanted to find out as much as they could. Even those that had seemed bored in the beginning were really paying attention now, begging to know more. Some of the tutors from the college were even eager to ask questions.
"We can go row by row if I don't have time I can give you all my office email." They all began talking over one another so you smiled softly and looked at the first girl beside Jungkook, the one that had given you her copy of your book.
"Are you working on a new book? and will you sign mine, please?" You still had her copy on the podium so you nodded at her slowly walking over to it and taking out a pen from your pocket.
"I'll sign it and yes, I'm trying to write one on my subject instead of interviewing this time." Her smile got larger as you began signing the book right away before slipping it back in front of her. Jungkook smirked at you as he continued to watch how well you handled the class, he knew you were relaxing into it more and more.
"Who haven't you interviewed but would love to? Dead or alive?" This time it was the professor that had introduced you to the theatre, she was watching you the whole time. Throughout the entire speech, she'd been making small notes on her phone while listening to you.
"I would love to interview the real Zodiac killer, just because we never knew who he was. There's a lot of unsolved crimes that I would love to find the person who did it as well," You laughed softly trying to move on from interviewing and onto what you actually taught at the school.
"How would you know if it's a male or a female killer? Based on the crime scenes?" A male asked this time, you didn't see where the question came from he just sort of shouted it out from the back of the classroom.
"Well, typically female killers prefer a cleaner way of killing and cleaning up. They'll sometimes show more sympathy for a victim as well. A male wouldn't care about the mess or how a victim is found but it all depends on the mindset of the killers." Mouths began to fall open as you began giving them facts about how to determine gender and a profile from one murder scene or multiple depending on the style of killing.
"You can normally tell if their also an organised killer or a disorganised killer. People give a lot of themselves away without even realising it." More questions began to fly at you while Jungkook sat in the front row looking as proud of you as he ever did, licking his lips as he watched you pacing the stage. He was also so proud to know his girlfriend was the smartest girl in the room.
"Can you judge any of us on how we are on our day to day basis just from looking at us?" The question came from a younger-looking male in the classroom, he was sitting in the middle row on the edge seat. You began walking closer to him, looking at everyone around him before you got to where he was sitting.
"You're the youngest here which means you either snuck in or you're probably smart and ahead in your school life. The way your peers are looking at you I'd go for the latter. You also chew on your nails which means you're nervous about something, or it's a habit you can't break. There isn't much to tell because I haven't been watching you all long enough and none of you has done much while here." You began walking down the stairs when you turned back to look at him, his fingers were on the top of his desk as he looked at you.
"You play the piano as well, I could see the way your fingers danced along the top of the desk throughout the lecture."
Tumblr media
The questions continued to roll in until the final bell rang and everyone had to head home or to their dorms.
"You guys will have Professor Y/n's email, I'll make sure to send out a mass email tonight with it attached! Please drive safe or walk safe tonight." The main professor said as she began escorting people out of the theatre. Jungkook was watching you closely while you spoke to a couple of students all holding signed copies of your book.
"You can email me any time, and here-" You handed the first girl who had given you her copy of your book to use an application to your course,
"We're always looking for bright students." Her whole body language shifted as she began getting happier walking out of the room while studying the paper.
"I told you that you would do great," You whined as he brought out the, "I Told You So's" and walked into his arms while yawning.
"I'm ready to get back to that hotel room and fall asleep." You giggled softly as he put his arms around your waist as he began to compliment you.
"You look fantastic up there you know," He whispered as you began waddling towards the door, his arms still wrapped around your waist as he walked behind you not wanting to stop touching you for even a second.
"My baby is so smart," He cooed in your ear as you awkwardly smiled at tutors watching you.
"Kookie, wait until we're at the car at least." You whined out as he continued to fill you with compliments. He linked your hands with him as he began walking side by side with you, telling you how amazing he thought you were up there.
"So fucking hot the way you just told everyone all those facts." The longer he went on the more you began to realise what he was getting at. Jungkook was a little jealous when it came to people watching you and you weren't blind. There had been a couple of guys watching the entire time but there was only one guy that you ever wanted.
"Everyone has their eyes on you," He groaned out as he started up the engine. It was pitch black outside and you had a ten-minute car journey back to your hotel room.
"So intelligent and so sexy." He chuckled as he reached a red light just outside the college gates. This was when he leant across to talk to you, whispering in your ear,
"They have no idea how much I fuck you dumb do they? How their smart professor knows nothing but my name after I've fucked her tight cunt out." You grew wetter with each remark he was using and he smirked at you, knowing exactly what he was doing to you. He knew what effect his words had on you were.
"J-Jungkook focus." You whimpered as the light turned green but he just smirked evilly and began driving. He knew exactly what to say to make you like putty in his hands. Everyone thought you were this smart innocent tutor but it was far from it when it came to the bedroom. Jungkook would do one thing to you and have you melting into a puddle mumbling nothing but his name.
As he continued to drive he continued with his dirty remarks about what he was going to do to you when you got back to the hotel room that night.
"I'm gonna fuck you so dumb you won't even know your own name." He smirked as he saw the flash of excitement grow on your face but what he wasn't expecting was for you to take some of the control from him. You leant across to his seat slightly and ran your hand over his jeans, you could already feel hard he was through the fabric.
"Look like I'm not the only needy one here," You whispered in his ear before biting down on his ear lobe. You knew this was only going to end with him being rougher with you but you didn't care, you wanted to tease him back.
"You wanna fuck me?" You bite down on his ear again before you began palming him through his trousers, smirking when he let out a whine and bucked his hips into your hand.
"Such a good boy-" His hands began to tighten on the steering wheel and you could see just how annoyed he was getting with your small touches.
"S-Stop it, this is dangerous." You nodded in agreement with his statement and pulled away from him,
"Then I'll stop touching you," You put the emphasis on the word 'you' as you began to slowly unbutton the jeans you were wearing and slide your hand into them. You weren't going to touch yourself, you knew you couldn't work your own body the way that Jungkook did so you just began moaning and pretending to touch yourself while he drove.
Tumblr media
The ride was agonisingly slow but as soon as you got parked up Jungkook practically ripped you from the seat and stormed you towards your shared hotel room.
"Such a tease." He hissed pushing you face down into the mattress, your legs on the floor as he pulled your ass into the air. You let out a loud giggle as he pulled your trousers down roughly and slapped you across your ass.
"So fucking needy, you just couldn't wait until I got you somewhere private?" Another slap across the ass as you let out a loud giggle. He growled bringing you into the standing position as he ran his hands down the front of your body. His long fingers dancing along the line of your panties,
"They have no idea how much you loved to be fucked dumb, do they? Hmm? What would they think if they could see this." He practically ripped your thin underwear from your body and forced your legs apart with his knees. Your head rolled back against his chest as he dragged one finger up and down your folds, humming in satisfaction about how wet you were for him before he slowly pushed one finger into you.
"So warm, so wet for me." His voice could have melted butter, you whimpered as he held his finger deep inside of you. Refusing to pump it until you bucked against him desperately. His other hand wandered down your body, his fingers caressing your curves. The soft pads of his hands pushing and pulling on your breasts as you let out a whimper of his name.
"P-Please, m-move." You panted as he began to push his one digit in and out of you slowly knowing it wasn't enough for you but he didn't care.
"I love you so much," He whispered before pulling out his finger and pressing your back down on the bed, pulling your trousers from your body and throwing them somewhere in the room.
"So pretty like this, all spread out for me." He remarked as he admired the view of your dripping core from behind. He sank down to his knees and moaned as he ran one finger up and down your folds again.
"I'm gonna taste every last drop of that delicious pussy of yours." You whimpered as he words as he kissed your entrance lapping his tongue around it slowly before he pushed his tongue into you. Moaning into your core as he sent vibrations throughout your body making you cry out in bliss.
"Fuck," You cried into the bed as he began using his fingers to play with your clit sending jolts of pleasure throughout your body making you whimper with each touch.
"Gonna fuck you with my tongue," Was all he said before pushing his tongue in and out of you quickly, using all eight muscles in his tongue to send you into a pool of whimpers and screams of his name.
"God your mouth...S-So good." You mumbled into the sheets as he smirked at you in satisfaction. He couldn't see the look on your face but he could already tell your eyes were rolling back. The way your hips bucked against him meant you were close so he turned you around, laying your back flat on the bed. He pushed two fingers into you. Flexing them and pounding them into you rapidly as you began gasping out his name. He'd found your sweet spot within seconds and he was going to hit it repeatedly until you cried out his name loudly.
"C-Close! Shit! So close!" Your words began to slur as you felt your orgasm approaching you closer. The words falling from your lips turning into meaningless words as you neared your high.
"Cum for me angel," He moaned into your clit encouraging you to cum for him as he continued to pump his fingers into you with newfound vigour. Loud whimpers began to leave your throat as you cried out his name on your release. Your legs wrapping around Jungkook as you cried out his name. Bucking up as he continued to fuck his fingers into you throughout your orgasm. The pleasure washing over you making you feel like you were on a cloud.
Jungkook slowed his fingers down while smirking up at you, licking you clean as you began panting heavily trying to catch your breath.
As you went to slide off the bed to return the favour he began shaking his head and tutting, this wasn't about him tonight this was all about you.
"Your reward for being such a smart girl tonight," Words were floating around in your head, you wanted to say something back to him but it was hard when you were still trying to come down from your high.
"Look at you, already fucked dumb." He chuckled darkly as he freed himself from his jeans, kicking them out of the way as he pushed the head of his cock between your folds. You let out a whimper as he moaned out your name,
"Still dripping wet baby, you want more?" He questioned. Keeping the head of his cock at your entrance, pushing so just the tip was inside of you and you hissed at him for more.
"Want more." You ordered at him and he tuts at you shaking his head in disapproval,
"So eager for a good fucking," He panted as he began to slowly push into you. Spreading your legs so your thighs were pressed to the bed. Everything on completely display for him to see.
"F-Fuck," You panted as he began to rock in and out of you slowly. Watching as he cock disappeared inside of you and smirked whenever you clenched around him.
"Faster-Faster," You stuttered out to him as you looked up into his eyes. Your eyes were tearing up as he continued with his slow thrusts,
"I-I thought you were going to fuck me dumb. I'm still of sound mind," You challenged him and something snapped within in. You could see the way his eyes turned as he wrapped your legs around his waist to bring himself deeper into you. Slamming in and out of you roughly letting nothing but chants of his name fall from your lips.
"Is this fucking you dumb enough baby? Huh?" He reached down with one hand to begin rubbing your clit, watching the way your back ached from the bed and you cried out his name.
"Taking me so well, aren't you? Such a good fucking girl." He grunted as you continued to cry out his name. Digging your nails into his shoulders as your eyes clenched shut.
"Close! C-Cum! G-Gotta cum!" Your sentences were failing to make sense which filled Jungkook with pride, he was doing his job properly. He smirked looking down at you as he continued to attack your clit with his thumb, speeding up the snap of his hips.
Loud and fast gasps began to leave your throat as you realised he was going to keep fucking into you, letting you cum without permission. Excitement washed over to you pleasure took over your body making you whimper,
"Jungkook! Cumming!" You screeched out dragging your nails into the sheets as your back arched from the bed again. Your pussy clenching around him as your orgasm ripped through your entire body sending your mind into a freefall. As soon as Jungkook felt you clenched around him he came into you, groaning as he continued to fuck you through his own high. Pressing a soft kiss on your forehead as you giggled in a drunk-like state. He always loved when you giggled after an orgasm, it made him feel like he'd done a good job.
"Such a good girl," He mumbled before falling down on the bed beside you but you stayed silent. Your legs spread on the bed as a mixture of your cum and his leaked from your core. He chuckled at the state of you and shook his head,
"Y/n?" He called out while watching you but you didn't respond, you just drunkenly smiled at the ceiling in your orgasmic brain fog too lost to even try to find words.
"Told you I'd fuck you dumb, princess," He whispered as he came over to you, wrapping a blanket around your body before going to run you a hot both and give you the aftercare you deserved after the day you'd had.

*Grey Dress*
*Grey Vase*
*Grey Blanket*
This is my favourite part so far. This will most likely be the last part for a while till I decide where these two are headed.
Warnings: Swearing, dinner party from hell with a huge ugly fight with Emily, if you haven’t watched the new series I’ am sorry if you don’t know who Erin is, talks of Galindo’s yellow rain coat, Galindo handling ‘business’ and of course Bishop smut.

Enjoy x
Tumblr media
It had been the four of you since elementary school, even though Erin was younger then you all, you were all joint at the hip till you weren’t. College had been an eye opener for you all, but once back in Santo Padre after you all graduated, everything started to slowly change. Emily got mixed up with Miguel, Erin never came back and you and Rosa were living your best life partying, and working hard to get somewhere in a small town. Although there was one of you missing, you, Emily and Rosa were extremely close, even with Miguel. You were Emily’s maid of honour and godmother to Christobal and Rosa was a bridesmaid and loving aunty to your ‘best friends’ baby.
You had always known what Miguel was, what his family was into, but because you never seen that side of him or his parents you pushed it all away. To you and Rosa, Miguel was your best friend's amazing husband who treated you both extremely well, like the sisters he never had. That was until one day when you were out with Emily, and she was pissed at Miguel for this reason or that, and she made her driver drive you both to the dress factory.
Once you had pulled up Emily told you to wait in the car while she ran in, and her phone started ringing over and over. You grabbed her phone from her bag jumping out and jogging into the factory to find her. She had just got to a door opening it and you speed towards her, just as she stepped in the door way freezing you came up behind her looking into the room seeing Miguel in his yellow rain coat tipping hot oil onto another man while Nestor stood there watching. Miguel yelled at you both to get out and once Emily dropped you home you stopped all contact. Seeing that made everything too real about what you had heard.
Emily tried to mend things but it ended in a big blow up and you hadn’t spoken since. That was until Erin reached out to you and Rosa that she was in town and wanted to see you both. Rosa begged you to say yes after Erin sent a message to you both inviting you both and Bishop for dinner at the Galindo house and she hoped you could both make it.
Bishop had known all about this history and he had told you he would come if you wanted to go or stay home with you if you didn’t. You didn’t know what to do, Bishop’s emotions were running high and you knew deep down agreeing to go wouldn’t end well. You knew that the Mayans and Miguel had business deals so there was a connection. You and Emily had unfinished business, you couldn’t look at Miguel the same way again, you were taking your biker boyfriend to the cartel boss’s house for a dinner party, but you missed Erin. So you took a deep breath agreeing to go and the night was finally here.
You heard his bike pull up just as you done up the button on your grey jeans and you tucked in your black shirt and walking to slide on some black slides, grabbing your black leather jacket off the end on the bed and walking out to answer the door. You swung the door open just as Bishop was about to knock. A grin spread across his face, his eyes running all over your body as he stepped forward hooking an arm around your waist and yours wrapping around his neck as your lips met kissing deeply,
“Don’t know how I feel about you looking this beautiful to go to Galindo’s” Bishop's hand slid down to cup your ass cheek through your jeans, giving it a slight spank.
“Don’t know how I feel about you looking so handsome for a cartel dinner” you shot back your hands running over the shoulders of his black button down.
“You two ready?” Rosa came up behind you wrapping her arms around you both and she rested her chin on your shoulder. Bishop kissed her on the cheek and you sighed.
“Guess so”
Bishop held your hand on the drive over. He kept one hand on the steering wheel and you clung to one hand tight with both of yours. You finally arrived at the sliding gates and got buzzed in, driving up the long drive way till you got to the house. Bishop lifting your hands to his mouth and kissing the back of it while Rosa got out of the car,
“It will be ok baby. Whenever you want to go we will go”
You nodded taking a deep breath and lent over pecking Bishops lips a few times before you got out of the car walking towards the front door that Rosa was knocking on. Everyone had greeted you like you had just seen them yesterday, even Erin who squealed before jumping on you and Nestor who was over the moon to see you. You had a quick chat and cuddle with Christobal before he went to bed and Miguel had even invited Nestor and Marcus to stay for the night to join you all.
The night had mostly gone smoothly. Bishop was always by your side. If he wasn’t holding your hand, it was around you or on your thigh. Miguel had pulled you aside apologising for that day in the warehouse and you both clearing the air,
“Y/N, I’ am sorry. I never wanted either of you to see that. See that side of me.”
“It just made it all real you know. You were my best friend’s husband, one of my closest friends, not a cartel boss. I had heard the rumours, it just made it all real after that. And Nestor” you rolled your eyes “He was just the boy next door, not your right hand man.”
Miguel pulled you towards him wrapping you in his arms,
“I’am still that person. You know I never mixed both worlds, it was bad timing and I never should have yelled at you like that” Miguel kissed your cheek and pulled back, both his hands moving to your shoulders, “But you and Em, you need to talk it out.”
You went back and sat down next to Bishop on the couch, the conversation following nicely between you all, just like old times. The men laughed at old stories Erin told about you all and Miguel pulled out the cigar box handing them out,
“We need some girl time” Erin jumped up.
You all followed getting up, walking out to sit on the couches just outside the door. You all got comfortable sitting back to relax with full glasses of wine.
“So glad you guys could make it. I’ve missed this” Erin reached over grabbing your hand and blew air kisses to Rosa “But I should have come back sooner” Erin squeezed your hand letting go and looking over at Emily “You two need to fix whatever this is” she looked between you both.
“Oh you haven’t changed have you, straight to the point hey Erin” you scoffed taking a sip of wine.
“It’s the best way to be Y/N”
“Erin, not tonight” Rosa shot at her.
“No, it should be tonight” Emily piped up.
“Here we go” you sighed your eyes locking with Emily’s.
“You have made up with Miguel and you see Ez all the time and your acting like this with me” Emily sat up off the couch “All this bullshit after that day in the warehouse”
“You know full well it’s not just about that” you snapped back.
“So that’s only part of it?” Emily opened her eyes wide at you.
“Rosa” Erin stood up and started to walk inside, Rosa following.
“You know it’s only part of it. Don’t act dumb Emily you remember that phone call"
“I do. And you're nothing but a hypocrite” She almost screeched.
Miguel, Bishop, Marcus and Nestor’s heads shot up when they heard Emily raise her voice and seen Rosa and Erin walk back in,
“What’s going on?” Bishop stood up and went to walk out to you, Rosa grabbed his arm and stopped him.
“They need this, let them get it out” Rosa looked up at him.
“How am I a hypocrite?” You spat back.
“Huh. Now look who’s acting dumb. You tore into me about being with Miguel, how I didn’t belong in this world, look what world you’re involved in? You think it’s better than mine?” She raised an eye brow at you.
“I’ am not sitting at home being a Galindo house maker while my husband is out pouring hot oil on people, Emily”
“No you just wear leather and ride on the back of Harleys like some old lady”
“Fuck you” you snarled.
“No Y/N, Fuck you”
“You gave everything up for Ez and then for Miguel. You think a big house, nice cars and drivers make you special? You don’t belong in this world.”
“And you think you belong in that world? Saving people by day and fucking a motor cycle club president that smuggles drugs by night. It will never work Y/N get out now, you think you’re the only one? You think he will marry you? Become a family man for you to please your Daddy, or do you call him Daddy too? Think he will give everything up for you? Wake up from your day dream Y/N, you were always the logical one. You’re just another girl that jumped on the back of his bike”
“You going to bring my dad into this?” you balled your hands into fists “After everything he did for you and you be disrespectful like that?”
“I’ am sorry- I shouldn’t”
“No you shouldn’t have. This was a mistake” you slammed your wine glass down on the table and stood up storming into the living area, grabbing your leather jacket off the back of the couch and bolting to the front door. Rosa quickly kissed everyone goodnight and thanked Miguel for having you’s and Bishop shook hands kissing Erin and followed you out the door.
The ride home was silent, Bishop’s hand on your thigh the whole way to Angel’s to drop off Rosa. Rosa kissed you on the cheek, said sorry for making you go and she would see you tomorrow before she got out of the car to walk to Angel’s front door.
Bishop backed out of the drive and you were back home in no time. You jumped out of the car unlocking the door and rushing into the kitchen pulling out a bottle of vodka and a glass. You poured some in and shot it back and went to pour another when Bishop came up behind you leaning against your back, his hands coming to rest on the counter either side of you,
“I heard everything. What pissed you off more?” Bishop's lips landed on your clothed shoulder.
“That she put doubt in my head” You put the lid back on the bottle of vodka pushing it away.
“Doubts about us?” you nodded back “You didn’t have any before?”
“Surprisingly no. But she always knew how to start a fire” you muttered.
Bishop’s hands went to your hips turning you around to face him. His face soft,
“You are the only one. You’re not just another leather wearing old lady that jumped on the back of my bike, you know that, you’re my girl and I love you. Not just anyone rides behind me” you nodded “Your Dad is a good man and I respect him and your Mum. They both know how I feel about you and what I want from this” You looked up into Bishop’s eyes shocked at hearing that “I can’t and I won’t promise that I will give up everything, but you will always be more important and my number one priority.” Your eyes filled with tears and you smiled, yours hands coming up to cup his cheeks, his beard on your hands making you shiver “This isn’t a day dream baby and don’t let Emily fucking Galindo put that shit in your head”
“Ok” you smiled “I love you Obispo” Bishop chuckled, his hands sliding down to the backs on your thighs lifting you up, your legs going around his waist and you giggled kissing down his neck as he walked you both into the bedroom,
“Obispo now is it?”
You smiled into his skin, kissing up to his ear and nipping his ear lobe, your lips at his ear,
“Would you prefer Señor Losa?” you purred.
A growl rattled through his chest as he dropped you down on the bed and started to undress you,
“Only when you’re on your knees baby, but that’s not what I have planned for tonight” Bishop purred pulling your jeans and panties down and off after he took off your slides “Shirt and bra off”
You sat up doing as he asked while he undressed himself. His hard cock springing free as he pushed down his boxers and jeans kicking them out of the way,
“On your belly, baby”
You laid back down rolling over and you felt Bishop's hands running up the inside of your thighs pushing them apart before you felt the bed sink and he settled between them. You then felt one hand run up your lower back while the other slid down to run along your centre and you moaned loud biting your bottom lip, Bishops rough warm finger tips brushing over your clit,
“Your IUD ready to go?” Bishop lent down kissing your back, his beard brushing over your soft back skin.
“Yes” you whimpered.
Bishop’s hands came straight to your hips lifting them up so you were on your knees and you moved to lean on your elbows. Bishop pushed his hips forward, his hard cock running along your opening and you pushed back into him. Up until now Bishop had always worn protection, but after you both had a check-up, after you suggested that you get an IUD, finally being at that point in your relationship.
Bishop pulled back for a moment and then you felt him starting to slide into you, your moans and his grunts filled the room as your hot drenched core wrapped around him. Bishop bucked his hips forward bottoming out while he ran a hand up your back into your hair balling it into a fist as he started to pound into you hard and fast. You knew it wouldn’t be long till you were both falling over the edge so you started to push back into him just as hard. Your body catching on fire.
Bishop could feel your inner walls fluttering around him. His hand that was still tangled in your hair pulled you up fast, your back flush with his chest. Bishop moved his hand out of your hair and ran it down to rest around your throat with no pressure, the other running down over the side of your body running along your soft tummy and down to your needy pearl, his thumb connecting with it circling it, still thrusting up into you and his lips kissing along your shoulder,
“You're my girl. I love you baby” Bishop grunted into your ear.
“I love you too” You moaned out.
The sensation of his hand on your throat, his beard and lips on your shoulder, thrusting up into you and his fingers playing with you was enough for you to gasp for air as your release hurtled through you so fast your whole body trembled with pleasure, Bishop’s name and loud groans leaving your lips.
Bishop’s hand moved away from your throat coming to the middle of your back pushing you down on your chest, chasing his own orgasm, his hands then moving to your hips to slam you back into him. With a loud roar and the grip on your hips bruising, Bishop stilled and you felt him cum deep inside you, his seed spilling into you. Your name chanting from his mouth. You stayed like that for a moment, before Bishop pulled out and you both collapsed on the bed in a sweaty, heavy breathing tangle of limbs. The room was silent for a long while, you both snuggled into each other when Bishop started to kiss along your shoulder again,
“Did you ever think you would ever be on the back of a boyfriend's Harley?”
You snorted with a giggle “Never in a million years. But there is no one’s Harley I would rather be on the back of than yours”
Bishop let out a laugh, his hand coming to your face pulling it towards him, his lips meeting yours kissing you deeply,
“Promise me baby, no more doubts”
“Promise”
“You know you can talk to me whenever you need to about anything. I love you baby”
“Love you too Señor Losa”

Sinful Sunday!
AN: Nothing much to put here other than I am sorry I didn't do ships last night like I thought, I ended up babysitting later than I thought I would and I had to finish these two thots up. Other than that enjoy!
Sinful Sunday Masterlist
Pairings: Modern!Boba Fett x College Student!Reader, Merman!Din Djarin x Lighthouse Keeper!Reader
Modern!Boba Fett x Reader
We got another sexy Boba THOT babes, but be warned this does really highlight the older male x younger female relationship, mostly because this one is purely self indulgent. So I guess, warning older Boba and reader in college....
The first you had met Boba is when some average Chad had started annoying you at a popular bar among college students. You had tried everything to get him to leave you alone, to the point of turning your back on him, which was obviously a mistake when you felt his hand slither along your waist and attempt to grope you. But he was stopped short when he was ripped away from you by none other than Boba himself, who immediately shoved him out of the bar, before returning to you to ask if you were alright, and to tell the bartender to put your drinks on his tab, with a secretive chuckle. You didn't know it then, but Boba was the owner of the bar. And you also weren't expecting for that one time thing to turn into you taking him home a year later on spring break to meet your parents. You were nervous at how your parents would react to the age difference, but things had gone over well, and Boba quickly won over both of your parents much to your glee.
But Boba was devious, and you shouldn't have expected more. So when the two of you had down time you found yourself sitting on your bed between his legs leaning against his chest while watching a movie on your laptop, as you parents sat doing the same, just a wall away.
When you felt Boba's hands wandering, you didn't think much of it at first, but then you felt his touches increasingly become more and more sure in their paths and his lips grazing your neck and up to your ear. Giving out a small whine when he brushes over your breast and gave it a squeeze he whispers huskilu in your ear, "Lets test how quiet you can be little one. Let's see if I can make you cum without your parents catching on, hmmm? How does that sound princess?"
Whinpering quietly as Boba presses his hand against you through both you panties and sweat pants, you bucked your hips up giving him the confirmation he wanted. Boba wasted no time at all in diving his hand underneath both you underwear and sweats and going straight for the spot he knows makes you scream with his thick fingers. It took everything in you not to shout at the immediate pleasure he thrust upon you and you could do nothing to cover up the gasp you released when he dug his palm into your clit making your eyes roll back in pleasure.
"Oh little one, you better be quiet or someone is going to realize what I am doing to you," he chuckles as he kisses your neck and just continues with his absolute torturous onslaught of pleasure. Biting your lip you throw your head back onto his shoulder as your orgasm starts approaching you quickly and you whimper out his name softly before biting your lip.
Boba just shoves his spare hand up your shirt and into your bra to play with your breast as he starts to slam his fingers into that spot hard, over and over and over ond over, until you can't tell which way is up and which way is down. You grip his forearm and start bucking your hips up into his hand making your clit rub against his palm even more, and before you know it your orgasm is washing over you as Boba continues to press you through it.
When you finally come down from the height of pleasure Boba thrust you into, you found him lacking his fingers clean with a groan, saying, "Such a good girl for me princess. For being so quiet and good, tonight I will reward you with my cock."
Merman!Din Djarin x Reader
Okay, @moodsworks you did this to me with the perfect and cute Merman!Din drawing you posted because I cant stop thinking about it. (Also im tagging you because I thought you may like to read it 🥺👉👈) oh and I don't know the first thing that comes to lighthouses and upkeep so don't come for me lol....
Living in and working the lighthouse could be lonely at times, but you enjoyed the solitude and privacy that came with living at least 45 minutes from the closest town. Not that the people of said town were in anyway rude to you, infact when you first moved into your job as lighthouse keeper they had welcomed you with open arms and thanked you for filling the position. Many of the women in town had husbands that worked on boats that sailed and fished in the area and when you came to town they always made sure you had everything you needed at a very large discount that you fought everytime, but was secretly thankful for considering your pay wasn't exactly the best and mainly went towards other needs you had for the lighthouse.
You took two monthly trips to town, and both times you would leave early enough that you could go and have a warm breakfast at the small diner just on the edge of town. Every time you walked through the doors you were always met with the largest table in the building-- which honestly only sat 10 to 12 people -- full of the older couples in town having coffee and gossiping about the town. The first morning you had stumbled into the small restaurant at this early time they had invited you to join them and you had kindly accepted. They all had pitched in to pay for your food which you thanked them profusely for, and they chatted with you as you ate. They each took turns being nosey and asking questions about you, but you didn't feel the need to hide so you answered each question honestly. Then, one of the eldest women at the table turned to you and asked, "Have you heard the rumors or tales of that lighthouse, darling?"
When you only shook your head she grinned and continued, "Well, the legend here in town is that the place is haunted by sea creatures of the nefarious kind. They say that those beasts constantly sabotage and wreak havoc constantly on that lighthouse, and that they are the reason no keepers stay at that post for longer than a year."
You had only smiled and shook your head in response with a small chuckle, quickly dismissing the superstitions away. You had already been there a month and nothing odd other than thick fogs had happened.
You had been there three months by the time you started hearing the odd splashes at night, splashes that certainly didn't sound like the waves crashing on rocks. You had dismissed it again thinking it to be the migrating whales that you were told come through this time of year.
It would only be a few weeks later that your next curiosity would happen. This time you were up looking out the windows at the very top of the lighthouse watching as the sun was setting. You had just turned to leave, when out of the corner of your eye you saw a large figure jump from the water. Whipping your head around the creature had already disappeared back into the water. You waited and watched the water for a few minutes, confused  and curious because whatever it had been had been too small for a whale. It was more of the size and shape of a dolphin, though longer than one? When nothing appeared again you shook your head and went down into the lighthouse just assuming the solitude was playing tricks on your mind.
By the time the next oddity started happening you had completely forgotten about the other two, and almost three months had passed. This time it sounded as if rocks were being thrown that the lighthouse at night, and hard. The next morning when you had gone to investigate you had been shocked and angered when you found softball sized rocks scattered around and the red paint chipped and ruined along the side of the lighthouse base. You had marched inside and searched for the paint in order to fix the damage and made plans to go to the town tomorrow and ask about, assuming it was just rebellious teenagers. It took all day to find and paint over the spots, while stopping for water breaks because of the heat that was beating down onto you. When you finally went to bed that night you were satisfied with your handiwork and ready to hit the hay, expecting to be up early in the morning for a trip to town. Only you were woken up later, much later, by the sound of rocks being flung at the lighthouse again. Angered, you checked the time, seeing it was 3 am, before running outside to catch the culprit red handed, only to make short eye contact with what you swore was a human head that had quickly disappeared under the water just as quickly as you had spotted it. In a daze you had walked back into the building trying to wrap your head around what you had seen. The next morning you had gone to town, and just brushed off what you had seen the night before as just a dream. You had gotten up later than you had wanted, so when you made your trip to town you had completely skipped the diner and headed straight to the farmers market that you knew was open on the town square. You had purchased a few items and stuck them in the large bag you carried, and was walking away from a stall when you ran into the elderly woman again. She had smiled and asked to walk with you and you had tiredly agreed. She had completely shocked you when she spoke up as the two of you were at a stall looking through some homemade breads.
"The incidents have started, haven't they? The odd noises and little damages around the place? I can tell by just how tired you look darling." Speechless you had only gaped at her, shocked when she looked up and smiled at you before laughing and saying, "Oh hun, you can't live as long as I have here without picking up a thing or two. And since I like you, I'll give you a small tip, leaving lobster and clams out on the rocks always seem to calm the creature down, but never leave oysters, they do NOT like those," she finished with a chuckle. The two of walked in silence to the next couple of stalls and on the last one, which coincidentally was the fish stall, the woman paid for your items with a mischievous smile when she noticed that your items included several clams and a singular lobster.
That evening you left the lobster on the large flat rock that hung over into the water, before going inside to do your chores before bed. For the first night in a couple of days, you slept completely through the night and woke up fully rested early the next morning. When you had done a survey of the water looking for anything unusual you had noticed the lobster was still there, but it was only the shell which was ripped to pieces.
After that night, you started continuously leave some kind of offering out on the rocks for whatever creature had been troubling you, and it seemed to work whatever creature had been bothering you before had seemed to be sated with your offerings.
This went on for months, and before you knew it the weather was turning colder and the that meant snow storms and more late nights watching for ships. You didn't mind it at first, and honestly it just peaked your curiosity thinking you might catch the culprit you had been leaving offerings for. But as the nights went on you found that whatever it was knew when you were watching and only came for the offerings when you left your post for quick breaks, like going to the bathroom or refilling your mug with your hot drink of the night.
Then one night you were shocked out of the slight doze you had fallen into by a shout. Panicked you stood when you heard the deep voice again and looked around to see where the sounds was coming from, and that is when you spotted a dark figure out on the flat rock holding something small in his arms. Hurriedly you rushed down the stairs and grabbed your lamp before rushing out to the rock where the figure was shouting. You still look back and wonder how you didn't slip and crack your head with how fast you ran out there, let alone how you ran out there without thinking of the dangers. But in the moment you could only register the helplessness that sounded in the deep voice that kept shouting until you came into sight. You had only taken a second to be taken aback by the man...merman? You couldn't see all of him but from the quick, and confusing, glance you took of him showed his curling wet deep brown hair and eyes and scales shimmering in a steely silver color. But you didn't focus on him long when you notice the small green shape curled in his lap, the small creature clearly injured and it broke your heart when it let out a pained whimper as it lifted its tiny head to look at you. You were broken from the tiny creatures gaze by the man speaking up, "He's injured, can you help?"
You only took a second to take in the way his eyes shined in the lamp light, before you took a step closer you watched the man tense and wrap his arm around the small injured creature defensively, so you cautiously raised a hand and said soothingly, "Please, I do want to help, but I need to get closer to get a better look him..." You waited for the man to relax a little before you took another step forward, and then another and you slowly approached him before kneeling before him and holding your hands out asking, "May I?"
Reluctantly he pulled his arms away and you reached forward. It didn't take long to find the deep gash along his tiny arm. Carefully you looked up at the man, who was staring at you closely watching your every move. Taking a deep breath you looked him in the eye said said, "I can help him, I have first aid training enough to fix injuries like this......." then you trailed off knowing he would not like what you would say next. Then you watched his eyes narrow and study you as he asked, "But?"
Gulping, you sigh and respond, "But I need to take him to the lighthouse where all my supplies are and where it is light enough that I can see what I am doing.... Also for an injury like this, I will need to watch him for at least a week, just to make sure everything heals right."
The man watched you for a few seconds, before slowly saying, "But you can help him?" When you nod in response he carefully hands the small creature to you and as you stand and go to grab your lamp, you turn to him and ask a question, only to find him struggling to pull himself onto the rock completely to, you can only assume, follow you.
"What in the world are you doing?!"
"Where ever I go he goes, and where ever he goes, I go," he grunted out as he strained and pulled his long body to follow you. Sighing in exasperation as well as concern, you blurted out, "Listen, let me go get him situated and stabilized. Then I can come by with my car so you aren't dragging yourself, and most likely injuring yourself." He was hesitant, but he agreed after glancing at the small being in your arms. So after throwing him a quick, I'll be right back, you rushed back to the lighthouse.
Once inside you gently laid the small injured creature softly on the kitchen towels that you had folded earlier and had not put away. Then you ran to grab the large red first aid box from under the bed before returning. Inside you quickly grabbed everything you needed and quickly set to work. You worked quickly and carefully, and it felt like no time before you had the wound sutured back together. Not wanting to leave what you could only assume to be a sleeping, injured infant on the counter you reached over to your sink and filled it with warm water and added sea salt, before carefully lowering the child into the water. Once you confirmed that the young creature was okay and peacefully asleep you ran to your car and drove it as close to the rock as possible, only to find the merman clenching his jaw and dragging himself along the small pathway. When you jumped out of the car you leant down to help him while chastising him.
"I told you to wait, what would you have done if you injured yourself?"
"You took too long."
Hearing the finality in his voice, and also the concern, you let it go and quietly helped pull him into the back of your car.
Once again back at the lighthouse, you told him to wait while you went and got something. When you returned you had a large blanket, which you laid on the ground and told him to lay on, because it you make it easier to pull him inside. Grunting he did as told, and while it took you awhile to pull his weight, once you were on the slick floors of the lighthouse, you were able to get him to the kitchen in no time to show him...his child?
You let them be for a second ad you put the blanket away, but as you watched the man's face calm down after seeing g with his own eyes that the young child was safe and taken care of. When he heard you reenter the kitchen he slumped to the floor and whisper, "Thank you, we had no where else to go, and you have always treated us kindly so you were the only one I could think of to help."
"It was nothing, I am glad I could help. But... what do you mean by kind to you? This is the first time we have met?"
He then looked you in the eye and said, "But you leave us food, even after he wrecked the red flakes on your home."
"Well I feel bad now, because I was only leaving a little food out there. There us no way it is enough for both of you!"
"It has always been enough for Grogu, and that is all I can ask for."
"Wait, are you hungry? I have tones of clams if you are, and from the looks of it, Grogu?" you ask hesitantly only for him to nod, "will be asleep for awhile, if you would like to eat and rest?"
He sits there for a minute before saying, "It has been a long day...."
Smiling, you go to the fridge and pull out a large bowl of clams that you sit next to him before taking a seat across from him on the floor.
" If those aren't enough, I have more in the freezer that I can thaw out for you?"
He shook his head and replied, "This is plenty, thank you."
You sat in silence as he broke open and ate his food for a few minutes before you spoke up again, "Sorry to interrupt your meal, but I know what to call your little one, but do you have a name you would like me to call you?"
You watched his Adam's apple bob as he swallowed, and then he looked you in the eye and said, "My name is Din....but I must ask you to only use it when we are alone."
Nodding you smiled and waited for him to finish eating, but once he got halfway through the bowl your brain finally caught up to the confession he had given earlier.
"Wait a second. Grogu? That small little creature? HE through those stones at my lighthouse?! How?!"

Inertia
Author: @yagami-raito-kun For: @jeevas-exe Pairings/Characters: Matt/Mello Rating/Warnings: T for language Prompt: “a small town au, where matt meets a stranger (mello) who he doesn’t recognize” Author’s notes: This is very different from what I normally write, but I had a lot of fun with it. My dad grew up in small-town Iowa, and a lot of the details here are drawn from my memories of visiting his hometown.
———-
Winchester Falls is a tired old town, home to crumbling buildings and crumbling lives. The motel you run is the former, and you’re the latter. You don’t know why you stay here, really, except that you’ve never been anywhere else. As a child, you were taught to stay put if you ever got lost, to wait for your parents to retrace their steps to find you. You know exactly where your parents are—you leave fresh flowers once a week—and you know where you are, too. But you feel lost, so you stay put anyway. Filling the vacancies. Waiting to be found.
Inertia is a property of matter, and the only property that matters to you is here.
You get long term boarders, mostly, and the occasional Kid Who Made Good. The ones who went off to college, who got out, bringing their girlfriends home to meet the folks. You knew them growing up, but talking to them is difficult, like forcing a man’s hand into a child’s glove. You have stayed small, and they have outgrown you. They say things like “quaint” and “suburbia” and “escape,” while you are unmarried, uncolleged, unchanged. You were “the Jeevas boy” when you were younger, and as you enter your twenties, you’re “the Jeevas boy” still. You wonder if you will ever be “Mr. Jeevas.” You know in your soul you never will.
But then the stranger comes.
He struts into your office like he owns it, a silver cross dangling from his neck, and he pays for his stay in cash. He’s your age, you think, all slender limbs and boyish swagger, and the cobalt in his eyes pulls at you when he talks. You’ve never seen anyone wear that much leather at once. You’ve never seen anyone care that little when people stare.
He’s trouble, Mr. Ruvie grumbles to anyone who will listen. That boy’s running from something. Mark my words.
Most people nod agreement or cluck their tongues, but not you. You just observe. He doesn’t appear to be running, you think, but you’re not an expert. You’ve never had anything to run from. You’ve never had anything to run to.
Inertia is a property of matter, but you don’t matter. You never have.
Which is why it surprises you, honestly, when the stranger knocks on your office door one day and asks if you have dinner plans.
I never have plans, you say.
Great, he answers. Let’s make some.
You take him out to eat. Not the smoky diner on main street, with its faded, generic Coca-Cola sign and pebbled plastic glasses. No. For him, you go to the buffalo farm. You eat buffalo burgers in the gift shop while the eccentric old proprietor hovers over you, telling you at length about the personalities of her bison herd. The calf who gets stuck in the same section of fence twice a week. The cow who can unlock gates. The bull who broke out last summer and mounted her horrified neighbor’s cattle.
Beefalo, he deadpans after she leaves, and you smile. What do people here do for fun?
There’s a Walmart twelve miles up the road.
He laughs until he realizes that you’re serious. This place is hell.
We could go shooting.
He perks up at that, so you pay your bills and drive to the bluff outside of town. He’s got a Beretta, it turns out, and somehow that doesn’t surprise you at all. You pin the paper targets from your rifle case onto the haybales with sticks, and stand back to see what he can do.
Not bad, city kid.
Fuck off, farmboy.
You get out your daddy’s Ruger and show off for a bit, then let him give it a try. There’s a charge when you adjust his posture for him, a static zap in your fingertips, and you wonder if he feels it, too.
Back in his room, as you share a cigarette, you’re positive he does.
Where the hell are you going? he asks.
Getting you clean sheets.
Why?
We messed them up. Besides, it’s my job.
Your job sucks. The sheets are fine.
His smile has lodestones in it, and to your surprise, you stay. You still have nothing to run from, you think, but perhaps you have something to run to. The idea of it terrifies you, but your thoughts are already in motion. They will remain in motion until he leaves—or you do.
Inertia is a property of matter, but magnetism is a force. You can feel it. You move.
Fuck this place, he whispers. Come with me.
And you whisper back:
Okay.

Running Towards Nothing
Chapter One
a/n: hello !! @noelliza and i fleshed out an idea about if todd came from out of state (specifically, somewhere in the southern united states) to attend welton, so i wrote it heh. i’m not sure how many parts this will be (if people like it enough for me to continue posting lol), but i have the first like... five written haha. so yes, todd is from the south (alabama) and i don’t know much about the south bc i'm from the west coast, but i tried haha. hope you guys like it !! xx
chapter summary: something in todd’s past is the reason for his family’s move, leading to a new neighborhood, a new school, a roommate he was never expecting, and an overall shift in his life.
pairing: todd anderson x neil perry
warnings: none (i don’t think there are any in this chapter, but if anyone spots something, let me know !)
word count: 2479
If there was one thing Todd missed about home, it was the sky; the sun set differently over the rolling hills of Vermont than the grassy fields of Alabama. He was used to seeing all of the elongated, blue canvas sky that melted into bright shades of pink and orange along the horizon; there was nothing in the way of the creation, just a plain view of where the heavens met the earth. In the northeast, however, the sunset snagged on the seemingly-black pointed edges of trees and lush branches, interrupting the gradient leaving only soft blue and speckles of marigold.
But he had experienced his last Alabama sunset two days ago, and there was no going back. Not for a really, really long time (if ever). After the events of the past few months, there was no way Todd could ever show his face again, even if he really wanted to. Now, Todd Anderson and his family were living in the suburbs of Vermont, where, as his parents hoped, the past would stay hidden and they could build a new façade for the one Todd had recently, though unintentionally, demolished.
As Todd sat on the floor of his new, empty room, surrounded only by boxes and his bed (which didn’t have a box spring or frame yet), he gazed out of his window forlornly. Through the toothbrush-tipped trees that were jam packed along his new horizon, he could make out the silhouette of a church’s steeple. One that, no doubt, would be frequented by his mother and father while his brother, Jeffrey, was out of state at college, and Todd himself attended the prep school just a few blocks down the road. Out of all the cities in Vermont, Todd’s parents had picked the one with the lowest population and tourist pull, which meant not a lot of people inhabiting the city. However, on the flipside, there wasn’t a wide variety of schools to choose from. Back in Alabama, Todd had attended his local public high school, Nixon, and would have been an incoming senior there if certain... events hadn’t occurred. Instead, Todd was now forced to continue his education at what was deemed “the best all boys prep school in the United States” by his parents and surrounding boarding schools (no pressure).
Todd’s mind wandered through the recent weeks, pulling apart everything that had happened like rotten cotton candy. This was his life now: a new state, a new town, a new school, brand new everything. And yet, Todd felt stuck between wanting to start over and aching to hold onto his old life. If those five seconds could have gone differently, he’d be preparing for his first day of senior year with all his friends at Nixon. But his friends would never speak to him again, and he’d never walk the halls of Nixon High School ever again. Todd wondered what he could possibly be holding onto? There was nothing in a place he considered home and nothing in a new place that would likely never be home. So much of his past, he wanted to leave behind, but he just… knew that he couldn’t.
As he reached into the open box beside him, there was a knock on the door. When Todd didn’t answer, the door cracked open, revealing the familiar face of his older brother.
“Hey, I was going to go on a drive around town, maybe see some of the cool hangout spots if you wanted to come. I know I’m leaving for school in a couple weeks, but might as well check out some places anyway?”
Jeff always had a way of talking to Todd gently, never with any hints of condescension in his tone. After all, Jeff was the only person in the house who ever acknowledged Todd’s existence. And after everything that had happened, Todd was certain he was no closer to gaining support from his parents than a couple months prior; in fact, he’d been quite sure he was further from garnering any cent of respect, let alone support.
“Oh, uh… right now?” Todd spoke, barely above a whisper. He knew he didn’t need to feel embarrassed or nervous around Jeff, but that’s just how things were for him now. Anything he said or did felt… wrong, and he didn’t know how to fix it.
“Yeah, I think Mom and Dad went to pick up some dinner, so I was just thinking that we could head out for a few minutes. Maybe get a little familiar with town and stuff,” Jeff smiled at Todd, his perfectly straight teeth somehow still gleaming in the darkening light of Todd’s room, “Come on, I know you probably don’t feel up to it, but it’d be better than sitting in here while it progressively gets darker,” Jeff attempted to joke, laughing slightly.
Todd gave him a half smile, half grimace, “Alright. Think I need a jacket?”
“Want to drive with the top down, so probably,” Jeff smiled, smacking the doorway and turning down the hallway, “Leaving in five!” he called down the hall as he went.
While they rode leisurely around town, Todd kept his head mostly turned to the side, leaning his cheek on his arm and taking in all the things they drove past. Lots of houses on moderate pieces of land lined the streets; they were nothing like the spacious farms and open pastures of Alabama. Up until recently, Todd had always considered the south home. But truth be told, he wasn’t sure what home was anymore.
“Oh, sweet, Todd, look! There’s an arcade!” Jeff patted Todd’s shoulder with the back of his hand as he cruised down the street. The big neon lights were hanging over a brick building spelling “GAMES & POOL.” It looked like the marquees Todd had seen of New York City in the magazines. He just nodded at his brother’s sentiment as they pulled up to the red light. Glancing up at the bright sign once more, his gaze was torn away when the door to the arcade opened, revealing five lanky boys spilling out onto the sidewalk.
“I told you I was going to beat the high score and you punks didn’t believe me!” one with sandy hair said, walking backwards and facing his friends. His face was twisted into a mischievous grin and his voice ricocheted across the street as the boys seemed to be making their way to the movie theatre a few doors down.
“Charlie, no one cares that you beat the high score,” the tallest one replied; Todd noticed he had a flattop haircut, which is something no one in Alabama would have ever had; Todd thought it looked neat. The flattop’s sentiment earned a chuckle from all the boys, but a particularly loud laugh from a tall, dark-haired boy standing toward the front of the group. He wore beige slacks and a tucked in red flannel with black and white hi-top Chuck Taylor’s. And Todd noticed his dimples were deep into his cheeks while he laughed. As the boys walked down the sidewalk to the theatre ticket vestibule, the light turned green and Jeff began to drive. As the car passed the group, the dark-haired boy looked up and locked eyes with Todd.
“Neil, still five for Gidget?” the ginger one with glasses said. The dark-haired boy (who Todd could now assume was Neil) held Todd’s gaze for a couple more seconds before tearing his eyes away and nodding at his friend. Todd’s cheeks were ablaze as Jeff drove further away. Trying to not move his head, Todd simply looked back at the boys in the side mirror until they were simply blobbed figures standing under the light of the theatre.
When Todd and Jeff arrived home, their parents’ car was in the driveway, and the light in the kitchen was on.
“Hope you’re hungry,” Jeff turned to Todd as he switched the engine off. He just looked at Jeff blankly; his appetite had still not returned, so he didn’t feel hungry much anymore, “I know I am,” Jeff smiled, ruffling Todd’s hair and easing the tension between them. He nodded a little bit and opened the door, Jeff doing the same. As Jeff made his way up the steps, Todd trailed behind him, not wanting to be the first person his parents saw.
“Jeffy, is that you?” his mother’s voice called from the kitchen.
“Yeah, Mom, we just went to check out the neighborhood a bit,” Jeff called, slowing his pace, falling into step with Todd and slinging his arm around his little brother’s shoulder.
“Dinner’s on the table, dear,” she replied as the boys walked into the dining room.
“Smells good, Ma,” Jeff smiled, taking his seat at the table after patting Todd’s shoulder. Todd sat down tentatively and stared at the spread in front of him. His parents had gotten KFC for the second night in a row, and Todd was about as excited as he was the first time (that being not at all).
“I know we had it last night, but it really just reminds me of the food back home,” his mother said, pulling her napkin into her lap.
“You boys eat up, now,” his father said, gesturing to the bucket of chicken and sides in front of the pair. Jeff grabbed his food, and took extra care to offer Todd all of the things he picked up for himself. While their parents busied themselves in a conversation about the pie their neighbors had dropped off, Jeff nudged Todd lightly,
“Look, I know you’re not hungry, but have a biscuit at least, okay?” he muttered and held one out to his younger brother. Todd took it hesitantly, put it in the middle of his plate, and stared at it, “Come on, Todd. Please,” Jeff mumbled again.
“What’s that, Jeffrey?” his father turned to him.
“Oh, nothing, Pop, just telling Todd to have some dinner,” Jeff smiled small. Todd’s father looked at him with disgust.
“Eat,” he grunted. At the timbre of his father’s voice, Todd flinched slightly and picked off a part of the biscuit to nibble on while the conversation turned to Jeff’s plans for the fall semester. Fading into the background (as usual), Todd tuned out the conversation and focused really hard on his white Chuck Taylor’s, getting a flash of the tall, dark-haired boy’s face in his mind. Neil. Shaking his head slightly, Todd adjusted his gaze to the plate in front of him and waited for another painful dinner to end.
When the summer had wound down and the weeks in Vermont had become more familiar, Todd’s parents had busied themselves with getting Jeff ready for dorm move-in and paying little, if any, attention to Todd. Currently, Todd was up in his room, preparing for convocation the next day. Jeffrey had left the past Thursday, driving up on his own. He had told Todd to not take everything so seriously and to do the best he could (because he knew that Todd was capable of a lot of things). He also mentioned that he was just a call away if Todd ever needed anything (he wrote his telephone number onto a scrap of paper). Todd had searched the arcade and the theatre a couple times in the hopes of running into the group of boys he had seen on their second night in town, but to no avail.
Sitting in front of the mirror, Todd analyzed himself. His hair had grown out kind of long, and his mother hadn’t taken him to get it cut, so he’d have to deal with that, but everything else looked normal. Things certainly didn’t feel normal, but he was used to the discomfort by now. The only thing he was truly worried about was his stupid accent. He’d spent the last few weeks hanging around diners and spots with Jeff, and hadn’t heard a single southern accent. He knew his drawl would just make him appear stupid to all these super educated kids, so he’d put a lot of effort into controlling it. He was actually doing okay at it, he just needed to make sure he didn’t slip up. Todd didn’t need any aspect of his personality or appearance to be called attention to. He got up from the floor and crawled into bed, dreading what the next day and year would bring.
Convocation turtled by, two hours of sitting in a church pew and listening to some headmaster spout of statistics that Todd didn’t care about. As far as he was concerned, he wanted to finish his senior year and get the hell out of here; Todd had always wanted to go to California, but his parents told him it was a pipe dream (“After the stunt you pulled in Alabama, we won’t be funding your college anywhere!” his father had yelled).
“Ah, Mr. Anderson, is it?” the headmaster questioned when it was Todd’s turn to be introduced after the ceremony.
        “U-uh, yes sir,” he mumbled.
“Well, we don’t normally take public school transfers, but you will fit in well here. Any major problems you let me know,” he shook Todd’s hand rather harshly.
“Thank you, sir,” he nodded and moved along.
Feeling his chest start to tighten, Todd made his way out onto the grass where he sat down against a tree and waited for his parents. After an uncomfortable and awkward goodbye with them, he roamed the grounds a little bit, practicing his newly-fashioned accent quietly to himself. As he rounded a corner to the courtyard, he bumped shoulders with a boy, and turned to apologize, dead-set on making his southern accent unknown (or as unknown as it could be).
“Ope- sorry about that,” the boy laughed nervously. When Todd looked up at him, it was the boy from outside the arcade all those weeks ago. Shit.
“S-sorry,” Todd mumbled. The boy nodded a little bit.
“It’s all good. I’m Neil Perry,” he smiled, holding out his hand, seemingly unaware or forgetting of the fact that they’d seen each other before.
“Todd Anderson,” he manipulated his tongue to sit flatter in his mouth, so as not to let slip his Alabaman background. He had trouble looking into Neil’s eyes, but when he got a good look, he realized they were dark, dark brown and incredibly deep.
“Oh, that’s you? I think that makes us roommates,” Neil said, patting Todd on the shoulder. Oh no, Todd thought, his cheeks flushing. Stop it, he thought to himself and cleared his throat.
“Oh… cool,” Todd nodded a little bit and pursed his lips.
“I gotta get going. See you soon!” he patted Todd’s shoulder again and took off in the direction he had been going when Todd bumped into him.
Yep, Todd sighed. This is going to be a long year.

Sanguine Nocturnus | 1
Tumblr media
Summary: Even after 2000 years, the world can still surprise you. Pairing: AU!Henry Cavill x OFC Word Count: 2K Warnings: It’s a vampire fic. Death. Blood. Gore. Sex. Horror. Not for the kiddies or the squeamish. I mean it. A/N : I know I said I’d wait. But y’all have been clamoring...
Death has a way of manipulating time. Moments meant to go slowly end in a blink, while junctures that ought to speed past, linger like dew on the vine...
Carla Montanari stared at her mother’s corpse, waiting for her to move. Waiting for the only family she’d ever had to open her eyes and say it was all a joke. Her mother had always had a cutting sense of humor; no topic was off-limits, and as she aged, death was a favored punchline. Now, it seemed, her mother had pulled off the ultimate prank, though Carla failed to see the humor in it.
The mortician had done an excellent job all things considered, but Carla could still pick out the differences between the body that lay at the altar of Saint Vincent’s and the one she had grown up with. A jaw that had been given too much lift, makeup that was a shade or two darker than what her mother normally wore, wrinkles that had disappeared when her face had been sewn back together. She’d been told she was lucky to get an open-casket service at all, given how much trauma her mother had suffered, as if it were some sort of consolation prize.
Looking behind her, Carla did a headcount of those in attendance, smiling softly when she saw that her mother’s bingo group were all in attendance, each woman donning their Sunday best in order to pay their respects. What her mother lacked in family, she’d more than made up for in friends who were all cut from the same cloth. Good, salt-of-the-earth people. Carla had always envied how easily her mother made friends, how she could chat up anyone, no matter how different their background and find something in common. It was a skill she hadn’t passed down, leaving her daughter to carve out a small handful of friends who were more acquaintances than anything else.
Crossing herself, Carla took a deep breath, looked down at her mother once more, and finally leaned down to kiss the cold, clammy skin of her forehead, doing her best to ignore the faint waft of formaldehyde that filled the casket. A solitary white rose tucked beneath her mother’s hands was Carla’s final act before turning away.
Time blinked, and she found herself seated across from her mother’s lawyer, a slab of mahogany separating them, the coffee she’d been offered growing cold as the AC hit it from overhead.
“I suppose we can do away with formality, since it’s just you,” the older man said, his smile tight and distant. Carla nodded, feeling as though the man wanted to be done so he could attend to other, more important, matters.
“Your mother left all her possessions and accounts to you, no surprise there. She gifted her friends each an item from her apparently extensive purse collection, so we’ll facilitate that for you. The accounts are all in order, and what isn’t used to pay off her final bills, will be transferred to your account by the end of the month. Lastly, there’s the matter of the inheritance. This may be news to you, but your grandmother set up an inheritance in your name when you were born. Initially, it was meant to pay for college, but when you got your full ride, your mother decided to keep it going until her passing. Her hope was to give you a nice nest egg for retirement, or your first house...something to that effect.”
Carla looked down at the document, counting and recounting the total in disbelief. Her mother had always been terrible at keeping secrets, having given away things to her friends that had mortified Carla when she was younger.
Guess you were better at it than I thought.
Inhaling deeply, Carla sat back in her chair, hoping the meeting was over. The quicker she could get out into the fresh air, the better off she’d be.
“There’s one more thing,” her mother’s lawyer said, keeping Carla rooted to her seat even as the muscles in her legs twitched in readiness to stand up. “Your mother wanted to ensure you were aware of the fact that you have legal claim to Italian citizenship, if you should ever choose to take it. They call it Jure Sanguinis; Right of Blood. The process can be expedited, given that you’re only second generation American. Sign here and we can get it in motion for you.”
Carla signed blindly, eyes unblinking as she tried to process the information. Her mother had always been a planner, but had never once mentioned so much as a will to Carla. Now, seeing everything packaged up so neatly, her mind spun wildly.
“Think you know a person…” She muttered mostly to herself, the lawyer giving her another one of his performative smiles, his eyes going to his watch for what must have been the tenth time in as many minutes.
Leaving the office with a folder and the untouched coffee, Carla couldn’t help but feel time begin to crawl, reinforcing the feelings of numbness and solitude that would haunt her for weeks to come.
Tumblr media
Working steps from Wall Street had its perks. Tips were usually far more generous than in other parts of town, fights were rare, and drunk girls crying over their shitty boyfriends were nonexistent. None of that made it any easier, however. Frat boys turned into day traders, socialites grew even more entitled as their brunches turned into botox appointments, and there was never a shortage of patronizing stares for those that had to actually work for a living. For Carla, navigating the catcalls, one-liners, and straight-up sexual misconduct was easy enough; it was the entitlement that never failed to get under her skin.
“Um, hello? Waitress? This is wrong. I asked for a Negroni.” Looking up, Carla swept her long black hair over her shoulder as she processed the words that were spoken. Having decided to keep living life as though things hadn’t irrevocably changed, Carla was doing her best to ignore the stress that had been slowly creeping higher and higher each day. Busy nights at the bar were proving the worst, with Carla coming through the door at the end of her shift ready to rant about the night to her mother, only to find the place pin-drop silent and utterly empty.
Looking down at the drink, Carla gazed back up at the woman with the blond, news anchor hair and cocked her head to the side in confusion.
“That is a Negroni.”
“Uh,” the woman snorted in disbelief, “no it’s not. Remake it, and do it right this time.”
“This is a Negroni. One part gin, sweet vermouth, and Campari each, with a peel of lemon.” The woman laughed condescendingly and Carla could feel her patience start to disappear.
“No, a Negroni, if you knew anything about bartending--which you clearly don’t--is made with Rye and dry vermouth.”
“Lady, I make at least ten of these a night. I work six nights a week. You’re the first, and only, person to ever tell me it’s wrong. You’re thinking of an Old Pal, and I’d be more than happy to make that for you, but this? This is a Negroni, which is what you asked for.”
“Fine, we’ll see about that.” The woman huffed, her manicured hand slicing through the air in a dismissive motion.
“That’ll be $10.99.”
“Absolutely NOT! I’m not paying for your mistake. Make it again, make it right, and make it now!” The woman crowed, her hair imobile as she shook her head, looking for all the world like Carla had slapped her.
“It’s a different drink. You paid for a Negroni, you got a Negroni. You want an Old Pal, you pay for an Old Pal.” Carla replied, crossing her arms over her chest as she waited for the woman to make up her mind.
The alcohol burned Carla’s eyes and she stumbled back in shock, moving towards the large sink she knew was behind her on pure instinct. Washing her face to get as much of the cocktail off as she could, she knew she’d reached her breaking point.
Any other time and she’d have brushed it off, had security kick the woman out and gone about her night. Now? She’d had enough. Moving slowly to the back, Carla took off her apron, hung it up next to her coworkers’ and slipped out the back door.
Nearly sprinting the whole way home, it was only as she stepped through the door of her apartment that the tears came unbidden. Sliding down the wall, Carla cried for the first time since her mother’s passing.
The next morning, after calling in her notice, Carla allowed herself a day to simply be. To scream, to cry, to let out all the emotions that had befallen her since answering the phone that fateful night and hearing that her mother had died in such a vicious and preventable way. She let rage fill every vein as she thought about how the person who hit her hadn’t even bothered to stay at the scene. She lamented every missed moment, every fight, every what-if. Finally, she curled up in her mother’s robe, and cried herself to sleep.
Knowing she couldn’t handle another day at a bar like the one on Wall Street, catering to bratty adults who’d never been told no a day in their lives, Carla began leaning more and more towards escaping it all. Her now-empty apartment, her routine assortment of familiar faces (none of whom had even bothered to call and offer condolences), and more than anything, the city itself; all of it seemed worthless and foreign without her mother’s smiling face. As she sat and scrolled through picture after picture on her phone, the promise of a new life in Italy seemed more feasible, and more and more necessary.
On day three, after a day spent mostly in bed, dreaming about the possibilities of what life could bring now that she was committed to leaving, Carla put in a call to the lawyer, vaguely remembering the document she’d signed. There was nothing but relief when she was told they were simply waiting for a few more documents to finalize it all.
With the foundation for her new life in place, Carla began to flesh out the bones, focusing her research on where to live, and who was hiring. Though the inheritance was enough to live comfortably for several years, Carla didn’t want to squander it. Moreover, she still wanted to work and feel useful in some way; early retirement could wait.
While she was spoilt for choice when it came to renting, a job was harder to come by. Carla started her search with the lofty goal of finding something where she could put her history degree to good use; a research assistant, a curator, hell, a tour guide. When it became clear that her lack of experience was a hurdle she wouldn’t be able to cross so easily, Carla reluctantly turned to what she knew.
Weeks went by like thick molasses as she looked at bar after bar, finding that they either weren’t hiring, or looked like the kind of place people went into and never came out of. Her options were narrow to start with, since Carla had her heart set on Rome, the need to entrench herself in one of the world’s oldest cities, one she couldn’t possibly ignore. With each day that passed, she felt her dream beginning to slip away. Carla was nothing if not tenacious, one of the few traits she’d shared with her mother, and despite feeling discouraged at her prospects, she kept looking.
Finally, as the clock nearly ran out on her deadline to provide proof of employment, Carla found the perfect spot. Though the bar catered to a higher-end clientele, gone were the stockbrokers and lawyers, and in their place, a younger, cooler set. Attracted to the dark, almost feral, atmosphere the bar promised in its advertising, Carla applied, crossing her fingers in the hopes that they’d call.
She was still browsing the site when her phone rang and the owner greeted her in a thick, Italian accent. Breezing through the interview questions, Carla’s eyes roved over the pictures of all the beautiful people that frequented the night spot, pulled in by how effortlessly cool each of them looked. With the promise to call her by the end of the week to confirm the position, the owner ended the call, and it was all Carla could do not to jump for joy.
Flopping back on the bed, she couldn’t help but let herself feel true happiness, happiness which she’d unconsciously been denying herself while she mourned her mother’s death. Though she’d been dealt a life-changing blow, Carla felt as though, slowly but surely, time was going back to its usual pace, and her life was taking a turn for the better.
With a smile from ear to ear, she sat back up and emailed the lawyer, confirming she’d gotten a job, an apartment, and a plane ticket to Rome. As the message zipped away and the window closed, Carla found her eyes drawn back to the website, and her new place of employment.

Tumblr media
the bright light blinds you despite having your eyes closed and as you have an arm covering them. indeed, even the sun was beckoning you to listen to the beaming sound of your alarm that plays on the background like a broken cassette tape, urging you to wake up now or else your schedule would get cut off. you wouldn’t want that, especially during a weekday like today.
groaning as you forced yourself to sit up and rub your hand over your eyes to make the world seem a little bit clearer. you then welcomed the sight of the room that had the sunlight illuminate its four corners, a familiar sight that you see everyday.
and you were growing tired of it, to be honest.
your daily routine had never been that much different as it has always been; getting up, getting dressed, going to school. really, there was nothing else that seemed to have been enough to make your eyes brighten up in excitement, since everything just happens on repeat.
every. single. day.
bringing your hand up to cover your eyes from the blazing sun, you wished you hadn’t forgotten to bring your sunglasses from your dorm as you crossed down the road, cautious with the cars that passed by the street. your gaze drops down to your wristwatch, your feet fastening its pace as you catch sight of your university literally only a few blocks away.
there’s nothing really special with your life; just a normal graduating college student hoping to establish a normal working life with a normal family in the future. the latter seemed quite impossible these days, especially with the constant repeat of your relationships throughout the years. still, there’s nothing wrong in expecting you’d have a good future, right?
maybe, maybe not.
“you’re late again.” you panted as you turned to the person sitting beside you, fixing your things and yourself in the process.
“what did i miss?”
“not much, but the professor is strict with attendance.” tobio eyes you before glancing back to the front of the room, feigning his focus upon the topic the professor was talking about.
“yeah, yeah i know.” you whisper back, doing the same thing as you forced yourself to digest the information that was being spoken of, even if you’re not particularly interested in any of it.
“oi,” your senses came about and it was tobio’s face whom you’d seen first, already standing upright in front of your seat, his bag slung to his shoulders-
“huh?” you look around and see everyone doing the same, looking tired just from one discussion. and it seems you have dozed off while awake all throughout the entire time.
“are you just going to sit here all day or not?”
you then gathered your things and followed suit, heading to the cafeteria but not before stopping by the vending machine to get your regular coffee and tobio’s dairy.
“you sure do like milk a lot, tobio.” you’d tease all the time, and he’d respond with,
“for someone who has trouble sleeping, you still haven’t quite enough of coffee, idiot.”
your friendship with tobio started ever since you were kindergarten, and you believe you two were simply drawn to each other because of how silent you two could be, only leaning into a conversation when it is needed. despite having met each other for so long, you two only began to stick to each other when high school came, after being reunited and seeing a familiar face after such a long time. it was that time that you and him realized how far alike to each other you were, deciding to have a bond that neither expected. plus, he likes watching volleyball matches just as you do. simply put, you found someone who was not much different from you, and you realized how comfortable you were with that—the usual things.
the fear of change and difference was what kept you stuck in the same town, at the same school, at the same status, and at the same way of living. people kept on emphasizing how important it is to look outside the box, but no matter how much you wanted to take a peek outside, you couldn’t, didn’t want to. you were fully convinced that if you dream big, there are just bigger consequences to life than how it usually gives.
“who’s that?”
the whispers and murmurs ripped you from your mind, your attention turning to your classmates who were talking about a certain person, making you involuntarily glance at where they were looking. it was a man—an unfamiliar man inside the university premises. who was he, perhaps? it was the same question as what your peers kept on inquiring to each other.
“you must be the new guidance counsellor!” now came a familiar voice, beaming like a sunshine as how he usually is, his hand extending to the said man with the new face, a certain kind of change that you never expected.
“guidance counsellor? where’s takeda-san?” a series of murmurs emerged again until one eventually said that the previous counsellor had taken a break since his wife had finally given birth to their child. you were never close to him but the casual greetings you and tobio received from the man was enough to call him as a kind person. you will surely miss that now that he’s gone temporarily. just from looking over and observing the new counsellor, you were quite sure that this one is far different from takeda.
you sooner found it out when you were called by one of your professors, specifically one that you knew so well that you were close to saying you had been fed-up in seeing his face all over again.
“(y/n), could you pass this to ojiro-san, you know him, right? the new guidance counsellor.” professor koushi sugawara hands you over an unlabeled folder, about two of them, barely glancing your way as he continues to type with his keyboard, eyes trained over the computer screen in such an intense focus. you often see him like this, but you were too irritated to want to even follow his orders as soon as possible, the frown on your face deepening the more you stare at the man’s figure.
“i’m not your maid here, by the way.” you say to him lowly, and it was a good thing that no one else was near him or you two would be embarrassing yourselves for causing such a scene in a school faculty.
this time, you met koushi’s eyes and you felt yourself bite your own tongue when you saw the familiar bags under his eyes, the rim of his glasses barely covering them and the exhausted look on the way he was gazing at you. you knew how tired he often gets because of his work and you do try to help him out, but he just called you out of a class—the only class that you were enjoying and he just wanted you to deliver a couple of papers to the new guy? you’re not someone he can call for errands that easily, not without some words that needed to be discussed.
“yes, you’re right. sorry about that, my pretty younger sibling.” he still teased you, and you only let out a huff before turning away and heading towards the guidance, not without telling your brother to eat his lunch or else you’ll stop making bento for him—it’s not as if you will but the threat always works because he hates waking up earlier than he should to prepare food.
having a professor as your sibling is kind of weird, especially the first few days of when people have found out about it, but the feeling eventually fades away for it’s very much like when you two were still going to the same school during elementary and high school, and like everything else, you’ve gotten used to it.
“oh, this is from sugawara-san?” ojiro, the new guidance counsellor, looked kind and welcoming, very much like the previous one, takeda. you’re not that much fun of change, but if adjustment is needed, then you have no choice but to abide by it. something about this new counsellor makes you somewhat comfortable with him, and it’s in a good way, you hope.
“thank you, uh-” he drops his gaze to your identification card and like any other who suddenly notices your surname, his eyes widen by a little bit, a wave of realization hitting them in his mind.
then he smiles, warm and friendly. “thank you, (y/n)-san. is it alright to call you by your first name?”
“i don’t mind.” you shrug, inwardly smiling, “thank you, ojiro-san.”
“you met the new counsellor already?” tobio questioned by the time you two were walking home, or rather to the cafe you two usually drop by at before really going home. it was one of the things that you and tobio bond on still, apparently. milk and coffee really are the things that tobio and you love—despite its difference, there was a certain middle ground where both the likes meet.
“yeah, he seems nice.” you say, not paying much attention to what tobio was saying for your eyes were set at the counter of the cafe almost immediately as you both entered the transparent doors, the same head of silver hair with darkened tips standing there, beholding an apron that matched any other worker in the room.
you must have forgot to mention earlier; there are times when excitement runs through you like a battery, powering up every vessel and cell inside of you.
there he is. shinsuke, the most beautiful man you’d ever seen your whole life. and yes, you only knew of his name because it’s on his name badge.
you could hear tobio scoff beside you but you merely brushed him off as per usual, heading straight to the lane of the man that still serves a customer by asking their own orders. tobio, on the other hand, walks to the other line where there were basically no other customers.
“good afternoon,” he greeted by the time it was your turn, and in an instant, there came a smile by your lips, one that you rarely ever give to anybody, to any other time, really. this man just gives you a rush of serotonin in your system that it was difficult for you to not react that way.
“chocolate-chip frappe, like usual?” he offered his own kind smile, and your heart combusted again, like it does whenever he looks at you like that, talks to you like that. you knew it was technically his job to build rapport to customers, but it seems as if there’s no escaping for you to escape this kind of fate.
you like him. if you were given a chance to get to know him more, that might even develop into something more.
“yes, please.” you responded, sounding ever so pleased and joyful than how you’ve acted for the rest of the day early on.
“perhaps you would like to purchase our new year’s special drink?” he says as he points at the small poster from beside him, the image of the drink catching your attention, and if you were asked, even if the poster was that colorful, you doubt that it would tear away your focus from the man on the opposite of you.
“uh-”
“it comes with green tea,” he cuts you off, if he knew you were about to respond. “but i admit you don't seem like the type to order a drink like that, do correct me if i’m wrong.”
“how did you know?”
“you only ever ordered the same drink most of the time,” he says with a straight face, as if calculating in the inside of his mind while looking you in the eye “and whenever i offered you our specials, you only like those that taste sweet or those that fit well with coffee.”
it took you a couple of seconds to reply, and it’s with how you were amazed by his observational skills, a soft and short chuckle leaving your system. “you’re really good. yeah, i actually don’t enjoy my tea when it’s cold.”
he types in your order with a small smirk on his face, and you had to control yourself from not getting flustered by how you were getting to have the chance to see this side of him—one that is far from his formalities as a worker to a customer. it gives you the opportunity to witness and to feel how close he was as a person, like you, sort of like a middle ground. like how milk and coffees are to tobio and you.
“you look like you just won a billion yen.”
you giggled as you sat down in front of tobio, not even trying to hide the giddy, fuzzy feeling you were feeling on the inside now that you were quite far away from the subject of affection.
“maybe i just did.” you say, the scenes of earlier playing by your mind.
this change, this sort of change; you didn’t mind it. him talking to you, you convinced yourself it was a good kind of change that you would gladly adjust upon.
once again, the day passes by in a blur, and tomorrow comes again.
“(y/n)-san!”
your name being called early in the morning by a voice is one thing that you did not expect when you went out of your shared apartment with your brother, and are now walking your way to school.
“ojiro-san,” you acknowledged the call, “good morning.”
“ah, yeah good morning as well.” he greets, finally catching up on your form while slightly panting from jogging towards your way.
“uhm,” you interjected, brows furrowed together as you twiddled upon the earbud that you had to unplug from your ear the moment you heard the counsellor’s call. “-is there something you needed to tell me?” it took a whole lot from you not to act irritated than you usually do whenever you are enjoying a peaceful walk to class, but it’s not as if you expected to have an early conversation with someone as well. it’s not like there’s a lot of people who like having your company other than tobio—you’re not even sure if he enjoys being with you. you’re not really the talkative type either so it’s a win-win situation for everyone. the only times you’d actually like having to initiate a conversation is with the barista at your current favorite cafe.
“ah, nothing much, but could you give this to your brother and tell him that i already found someone for him? oh wait, do you know about it?” he says as he hands you over the same folders that you handed to him early on yesterday. at first, it took you awhile to process his vague question until it finally hit you.
oh right, the very big change coming up for your life.
you nod, tucking the folders by your side. and just when you were about to speak, the sound of the bell rang over your heads that you had to exchange a quick goodbye or else you’re going to be late on your first subject again.
“thanks, (y/n).” koushi smiles brightly at you, despite his quite opposite state, as per usual. apparently, your brother thinks he’s such a great pretender, especially towards you. although you understand his intentions as well and that’s to be positive in front of you to not burden you with his own problems. how did you know? well, he is your brother, you not only knew him because you had been together ever since, but you have some of his bad habits as well, including this.
when you handed him the folders, you watched as he opened them, but you already knew what’s its contents, that's why you didn’t bother to look. leaving the faculty room, you never knew there would come a day where you’d miss going there often.
though before you could even go back peacefully to your classroom and grab both your bag and tobio, the moment you turned to a corner and there, you bumped into someone.
“watch where you’re going, fatass.”
“hey, ain’t you the kid from elementary? wow, you never changed, have ya?”
your whole body ran cold that you froze there, in the middle of the now-empty hallway, unable to breathe properly than you should. scenarios of the past then came like a film at the back of your mind, playing ever so carelessly as they indulge such negative emotions that now rushes through your veins.
a touch was all it took to bring you back to reality, and you heard a familiar voice that probably kept calling you all this time.
brown eyes—the person in front of you had such as his voice chants your name like a prayer, a plea to make you stay sane.
“are you alright? (y/n)-san?” wait… you know that voice.
you just know you had to save yourself from drowning—or was he the one who’s pulling you out?
“shinsuke?” you stuttered; hesitant, unsure. after all, how could someone like him come here at your school? is he delivering orders now?
“are you doing okay? you look pale… do you want me to take you to the clinic? just guide me where and i’ll help you, do you want me to carry you? he barged you with so many questions that your still-hazed mind failed to cope up with most of them. the only thing in your mind is him and how he seemed to have come at such a perfect timing.
“uh-no, it’s alright, i’m alright.” you tried to convince him, but it’s not like you were lying anyway. the moment you saw him, everything else have faded away—at least you tried them to be.
“maybe i should take you outside. come on, you look like you’re in need of some fresh air.” he didn’t ask you furthermore and took you gently by the wrist, ushering you to follow his lead, as if he was the one who had been on these school grounds for years and not you. you doubt he even knew his way around and was just trying to calm you down in some way.
you liked it though. you liked how his warm hand touches your skin, how his mere presence drowns away every other negative thought as if they were dust, too miniscule to even worry about. you liked his soft eyes and how they expressed his concern for you in his own way of doing so. and you liked how his comforting voice soothed over your tensed muscles, as if they massaged their way through just to ease up the bundles of tension in them.
perhaps what you feel towards this man, shinsuke, is more than just a simple admiration that lasted for months. you haven’t given much thought over it in fear that you might not be able to move on and get over, but they were growing day by day, little by little, and now you’re beginning to scold yourself for only realizing it now when it’s too late,
“shinsuke-san,”
you urged the both of you to halt, the murmurs and whispers that you passed by dissipated into faded echoes now that he is looking at you by his ever-so-soft stare, gazing at you with one that you could never fathom what he’s thinking about as he does so. he’s just mysterious, but it’s what makes him too exciting and thrilling to unfold; to see the layers that lay underneath that shell of his, like a crab, protecting its delicious contents, or a pearl inside a seashell. you were sure he’s beautiful inside and out.
that’s why you can’t just shut your mouth about it. you just have to get it out, it’s now or never.
because you’ve never felt like this to anyone, and you sure doubt you’d ever again.
“i love you.” you say, the words slipping out smoothly, rolling by your tongue easier than you ever thought it would. and the moment you realized you were able to let them out, a wave of relief washes over you, it was like your own body and mind was telling you to go and say it, beckoning you to open your heart, no matter what change may come your way.
the look he gave you showed a reaction you’ve never seen from him; furrowed brows, halted expression, it was clear that he was baffled with your sudden confession and that in no way would you have a chance of getting a happy ending today--not that it mattered much. your intention was merely to get it out of your chest.
and you’ve got no regret about that.
“what are-you’re supposed to prioritize yourself first. come on, let me take you to the clinic.” he continued to pull you away, as if that was what he intends to do with your feelings and supposedly-hidden desires for him that are now out in the open. it’s not as if that was what he was doing, but for you, it probably was what he’d do if he took your confession seriously.
“have you eaten your lunch yet, sugawara-san? i mean, (y/n), would you prefer to be called that way instead?” the nurse inquires as she tries to see if there was anything wrong with you aside from the claim of shinsuke’s description of you being pale and quite unresponsive since he apparently spent about a minute or two trying to bring you back to reality. you think he’s just over exaggerating, but you wouldn’t be surprised if that was hailed as the truth by the heavens. after all, there is a very good reason for that to happen anyway.
“uhm, i think i ate a piece of brea, or two.” you say, pondering over it for a moment, trying to recall the happenings before you suddenly remembered to deliver to your brother the folders that the counsellor asked you to do so. “and i don’t mind either way, but i do think it would be best to call my by (y/n) instead.”
by the end, the nurse only gave you an advice to eat more and drink water whilst also giving you some vitamin that you forgot what’s it’s called because you were too busy admiring shinsuke who’s from the side, trying to discuss with the nurse with regards to what could have possibly happened to you.
“thank you, by the way.” you say as you and him walk side by side, on the way towards the exit of the premises since you insisted that you take him there in return to accompanying you at the clinic earlier. “you shouldn’t have done it, but you still did. i’m grateful for that.”
shinsuke looks at you in the eye and your heart starts to beat faster again without your permission.
“there’s no need to thank me, but you should take care of yourself. you can never be full with just a loaf of bread.”
you nervously chuckled, your fingers twiddling as you averted your gaze to the ground. “i had to do something so i got up and abandoned my food, sorry about that.”
“don’t say sorry to me, you should apologize to yourself.”
now you didn’t know he was this naggy, but it surprisingly doesn’t irritate you more than how it should be for most people. it might have been because of your own feelings, but it doesn’t matter, it shouldn’t, anyway.
“still, thank you.” you say, a cheeky smile on your face, one you think you’ve never shown to just anyone, a look that even your brother or tobio would be surprised at because you rarely display it for them either. for shinsuke, it seems that all your insecurities are thrown away, as if your breathing is not withheld and you’re not drowning anymore. no matter how you’ve looked at it, the way shinsuke’s presence makes you more comfortable than you would to anyone else is unusual for you, but you’re on the borderline of being comfortable and not in the situation. if you were asked, you’re kind of.. calm.
“are you coming by at the cafe later? i’d treat you to a cinnamon bun if you’d lie. that’s your favorite, right?”
if you looked flustered, you didn’t have much time to hide them for you were already beaming like the sun from his words, the combination of his offer and your feelings mixing well together to form how you’d react to such a question.
“are you asking me for a date?” a sudden burst of confidence, one might say, but you’re having fun with it, in spite of the newness of the situation and circumstance, urging you to come out of your comfort zone, and shinsuke’s indulging you a bit more.
“as long as you eat, then you may call it that way.”
oh how you’d want to repeat that moment over and over, never changing until the end of time, even if it’s obviously not going to happen.
not when your future is about to change.

Horrible high school kids
You thought it was bonus doodles, but twas I ! another long hc post! This one is mainly about my personal HC’s for their childhoods and teenage years. Now edited to be slightly more readable!
Also, for clarification- I’m from the Netherlands, so that’s the school system I’ll be using. I just don’t understand other systems well enough, so bear with me. We’ve got elementary school from ~4 to ~12 , high school from ~12 to ~18, and college after that.
-Archie comes from a rather large family. His household consists of his mother, one older brother, one older sister, two younger twin sisters and one younger brother. His father used to be a sailor, but ended up in a shipwreck, never to be seen again. When he was still around, he was the one who caught a Carvanha for Archie.
Despite his mother being a stay at home mom to take care of the children, due to being well insured and having a large network of aunts and uncles money never ended up being a problem for them. His mother did end up taking on farming on the side, mostly for themselves, but selling extra’s to the neighbourhood. Once Archie’s eldest siblings ended up getting jobs they also helped keep the family afloat.
Their house is right next to Slateport. They own their own patch of land and dock there.
-Maxie came from a pretty bad household. His mother and father didn’t meet under happy circumstanced, and his father ended up leaving the household when he was ~8. This left him alone with his mother, who fell further into a bad state. Due to not being in contact with other family members, it was just the two of them. Their house was an apartment in Mauville. They got in cheaply when the town was just partly done being rebuild. He stayed out as much as possible, preferring to explore the routes nearby whenever he could which is how he obtained his Numel. Back at home, the Houndoom his father left behind with them ended up having two Poochyena pups with the neighbours Mightyena.
-Archie and Maxie went to the same high school in Mauville, which is where they met (around 14/15yo). Archie was the kid who passed all classes despite never even studying. Maxie was a problem child at school. Due to not having a healthy outlet, he mostly took things out on those around him, leading into him getting into fights a lot and being rather disrespectful towards the teachers.
-Neither of them really interacted until they ended up in some of the same classes.
Due to Maxie keeping to himself and Archie already having a friend group, they still didn’t really talk to each other unless it was for class projects. Maxie didn’t care, and Archie just knew Maxie as the kid that liked to pick fights with people.
-The first real talk they had was when Archie ended up in detention due to being late with an assignment. Despite liking to act tough like any teenager would being put in detention for the first time kind of freaked him out! Maxie who also happened to be in for detention ended up striking up a conversation with him before the teacher came in.
They mainly ended up talking about Pokémon a bunch, and ended up promising each other a battle once they both weren’t stuck here. Archie assumed that meant once detention was over for the day, but Maxie decided he didn’t feel like sitting around there for an hour and left trough a window, leaving Archie to explain to the teacher what happened there.
(Due to always picking fights and never really turning anything in on time or being on time, Maxie was more or less in detention daily- or at least supposed to be. More often then not he didn’t feel like going, or left the moment the teacher stepped out of the room. He was kind of the personification of a problem kid.)
-After that, they did in fact have their battle later that week which ended in a tie, and they started talking in the hall sometimes. The year after their shared classes didn’t include any of Archie’s other friends, meaning they ended up sticking together more often as they gradually got closer. They started hanging out more after class, and kind of became an infamous duo- mainly thanks to Maxie- around the school.
Archie wasn’t quite as hyped at the idea of his mom being called about bad behaviour though, so he did his best to make sure they didn’t get in too much trouble. They butted heads over it sometimes, but overall kept getting closer.
This was also around the time Maxie got invited over to the Aogiri’s household more often. (Yes, I’m just using their japanese names as their last names, I don’t trust myself to name anything so this is just what it’s gonna be)
-From the way Maxie never invited Archie over to his house/the way he avoided talking about his home situation and family, Archie eventually figured something was up. After some awkward attempts to talk to Maxie about it (that mainly ended up in Maxie going on the offensive and yelling a lot) he one day showed up to Archie’s house crying and talked some about it. After that Archie became the only person he ever really confided in and even then not that much- preferring to talk about other things. Archie did his best to support him, but as a teen himself with his own issues it admittedly did take a toll on him as well.
-Somewhere during this time friendship turned to dating! It ended up being natural progression more then anything so it wasn’t the biggest change- they were already all over each other at that point anyhow. Now they just could be slightly more obnoxious about it PDA wise.
-Archie’s mother ended up noticing some things off about Maxie’s home situation over time as well, and after Archie explained some things to her, Maxie ended up being invited over even more. The Aogiri’s did their best to let him know he could stay here whenever, and he ended up being really close with all of them.
-Maxie started eventually doing a lot better in school with the support of the Aogiri’s. He mellowed out a lot and started getting better grades too. Despite trying harder in class, doing well in them never came as naturally to him as it did to Archie, so Archie ended up helping him majorly when it came to studying. That said, Maxie would never ever admit to that.
-At 16, Maxie officially stopped ever coming back to his own house. Most of his stuff was already with Archie’s family anyhow. He took the two Poochyena pups they had at home and his Numel and took off. His grand master plan was mainly just to live either outside or stay in Pokémon centers nearby- with all the 10yos running free in the world, it wouldn’t look that out of place. He figured he’d just keep himself monetarily supported by battling.
-As it turned out though, that was a lot easier said then done. Archie and his family however knew Maxie was on his own now, so they ended up being the ones providing for him. At that point there already was always a mattress laid out in Archie’s room for him and he had a corner of it to himself for all his stuff he couldn’t carry on him, so it worked out. They invited him in to officially live with them, but the anxiety of living in a house with others again was hard for him to deal with. So to keep his peace of mind he ‚officially’ stayed homeless. That said, he stayed there more then half of the time, and Archie’s mother always joked about how Archie was the first of her kids to bring her a child-in-law.
-Maxie ended up helping Archie’s mother on her mini farm a lot. He really enjoyed the work, and she appreciated the extra helping hand.
-Archie meanwhile ended up feeding stray Pokémon around their house a lot. This meant more and more would show up there each day, especially once his younger siblings started joining him. His mother wasn’t the happiest about it, but as long as they caused no harm saw no reason to stop them. It’s where he met his Zubat!
-Maxie met his Zubat when off on his own once in one of the school vacations where he ended up exploring a cave.
-Despite Archie trying very hard not to let it be noticed, and not even being entirely sure himself why, somewhere in high school he ended up first getting kind of depressed and feeling down. Due to having the support of his family and Maxie, it never ended up getting too bad, but he refused to truly confide to people about it, so it never truly left either. He did his best to ignore it and hoped it’d eventually go away on his own. (it didn’t)
-Once the kids turned 18, the Aogiri’s ended up helping fund his college education. Unbeknownst to anyone else, he also ended up sneaking back into his own parents house and stealing a large sum of cash from them to help with that.
-Despite having a rocky childhood, the support shown to him by so many different people throughout the years made Maxie grow very fond of community and humanity. He didn’t really have any big grandiose ideals at these ages, but it helped lay the groundwork.
Archie always kind of felt the opposite, being upset that the system led down his friend and worrying about what would have happened had his family not been there.
-While Archie and Maxie ended up getting different degrees- Maxie in Geology, and Archie in Marine Biology, they got an apartment together where they lived together pretty happily! It was mostly a calm time for the both of them. They both had some odd jobs on the side to support themselves, still looking for the actual dream job they wanted to end up in after graduating.
And from here on out it’s to be continued for whenever I finish the next HC post about their Rocket years! \(°▽°)/

*THE* mean-girl-dean-girl's Supernatural reboot MEGAPOST!
I'm gonna stick a little "keeping reading" here because hoooooo boy, this is a very long post.
Let's start with
Plot
Season 1
Dean kills John while they are out on a hunt in a crime of passion, but Dean doesn't remember because he blacked out. Cue Dean going to Stanford to get Sam and tell him "Dad's on a hunting trip... and he hasn't been home in a couple days."
The audience doesn't know what happened to John, but slowly figures it out with Dean and Sam as Dean slowly remembers what happened that night.
The entire first season, the boys are following the trail John left and fighting monsters as well. They find out Dean was with John, Sam realizes Dean has an unreliable memory, they have heart to hearts about their childhood and the fire, they find John's body, "how could you kill Dad?" but maybe Dean didn't kill dad, whooaaaaaa, misdirection.
It was actually good ole yeller eyes (Azazel) and he made it look like Dean killed John.
Okay, now let's move on to the first episode
Not sure how the opening would work, I would like the story of the fire to be revealed over the course of the first season, but maybe the opening scene could be a little bit of an establishing character relationships and backstory, idk, I haven't thought that far yet.
I'm thinking maybe it's like, Dean gets back to a motel room covered in blood and he listens to a voicemail on his phone from John saying he was on a hunt or something, I don't really know lol.
HOWEVER
I do know that after the intro rolls, we get a scene of Sam waking up to his alarm and "Nine to Five" by Dolly Parton starts playing.
Y'all know where this is going.
Cue a montage of Sam's normal Stanford college life (him sitting through lectures, walking through the campus with friends) spliced with scenes of Dean absolutely slaughtering a nest of vampires (or some other monsters, whatever works best.)
But
Now onto
Characters!!! (And descriptions)
Dean Winchester
Some lovely person on this site made edits of Dean with platinum blond hair and it made me feel some kind of way so we're doing that, homie's gonna have platinum blond hair
Side note about the hair, later when the brothers are running from the FBI he dyes it a dirty blond/light brown (insert jackles hair color controversy here) as a disguise.
He also gets tattoos because we were robbed.
Speaking of tattoos, concept: when Dean comes back from Hell, all of his tattoos are gone. His body is a clean slate, devoid of tattoos, scars, etc. So he gets his tattoos done all over again, which he doesn't mind because he made some bad, drunk tattoo decisions in his youth.
(And before you ask, yes, he does get one for Cas, either a bee or Cas's name in enochian, something cute.)
Dean goes to therapy after Sam gets sent to the Cage.
It's actually court mandated because he got in trouble, lol, he would never go to therapy on his own.
Along with the hair, Dean gets to be the grade A twunk we all know he is.
Sam Winchester
His hair gets longer in every scene he's in
No jk, but imagine
King of Microaggressions
Sam starts off like the sweetheart he is in season 1 but in later seasons he starts enjoying killing a little too much...
It's that demon blood, ba-by!!!
He brings up issues of morality to Dean, i.e. killing monsters who aren't hurting anyone. (Yes I know this is contradictory to my previous statement, but these two facets of Sam can and will coexist.)
Sam and Jess's relationship is explored further, meaning we'll need to start with a different inciting incident, but that's fine, I think everyone can agree fridgings are *(thumbs down)*
Sam doesn't truly know what happened the night of the fire until later, and then he understands why Dean is so protective of him.
Jess
She gets to live beyond the first episode
She is also trans
No, I don't feel like I have to explain myself and I won't 💜
She urges Sam to join Dean in a search for their brother, kind of gets pulled into the hunter lifestyle by association lol.
She dies on a rusty nail after fighting vampires on a routine hunt with Sam
No jk!!!
But imagine....
She's amazing and I love her and Lucifer also uses her as leverage against Sam and possesses her because I think that'd be cool.
She supports Sam 100% and also she and Dean are buddies, pals if you will.
She meets Cas Thee El and immediately she Knows, that is a homosexual.
She dies still so that we can have a Saileen Endgame but she's not dying the first episode or in a fridging. Not on my watch.
Castiel
He gets to keep his raw, light-fixture-exploding power.
I want more of that "I pulled you out of hell, I can throw you back in" energy except over dumb shit like Dean not cleaning up after himself.
He looks like a Dilf in every scene he's in, yeah, that's right, dilf with a capital D for *(GUNSHOTS)* *(gets sent to horny jail)*
Claire
She gets pink hair
And more time with Cas
And maybe a nose piercing
Feel like she should be able to kill a couple angels onscreen, punch a couple homophobes
She gets to meet Jack and teaches him swears and fun slang words.
She deserves it.
Jack
I says "that's my baby and I'm proud."
Jack starts off as a baby, but like Amara he grows up super quickly.
Like, baby to 11 year old in a couple days or less.
This is because Jack's emotional age on the show is on par with that of a 5th grader.
It's at this point when he's a young kid that he runs away from the Bunker and shenanigans ensue.
It's also at this point that Dean threatens to k*ll him.
(Still not sure if I want that in my Supernatural (threatened infanticide? In my Supernatural? It's more likely than you think) but we'll see. We'll see.)
Throughout a majority of season 13, Jack is like an 11 y.o. kid
Season 14 he's like a 16 y.o. teenager
Season 15 he's 21, you get the picture.
Listen, I love Alex Calvert a lot. He's great.
But Jack is a child and should be a child.
Kelly Kline
Kelly, baby, stay right where you are, you're perfect.
Eileen
SHE DOESN'T DIE
SHE GETS TO BE IN THE FINALE BECAUSE SHE'S AMAZING AND I LOVE HER.
BLURRY WIFE WHO? I ONLY KNOW SAILEEN ENDGAME!
She teaches Claire and Jack swears in sign-language. Castiel is not impressed.
John
J*hn W*nchester stans, DNI.
He's dead.
We only see him in flashbacks and only sometimes hear his voice in voice overs.
He's not "down the road" from Dean in Heaven, in fact he instead gets to wander around in some Purgatory like Hell for the rest of his time :)
People who get to say "fuck" on the show:
Cas (but only Once)
Jody
Bobby
Now onto other things
I want more of
Ghostfacers
(they need more screentime because I love them)
Dean/Benny
We know they had a thing.
They definitely had a thing.
Demon Dean
Again, I feel like more should've been done with this. All that build up for what, 2 episodes? was not utilized well at all.
Dean's Bisexuality
Straight Dean truthers DNI, my Supernatural is a show about love and being true to yourself
You think Supernatural is a show about 2 straight brothers fighting monsters?
Naw bitch, this is a show about the Gay Experience
He will get to have relations with men on this show.
Of course, only after John dies does he, y'know, display it. Maybe he kisses Cas on his dad's grave just to fuck John over, make him roll in grave.
We all agree John would be/is a homophobe piece of shit, right?
Okay, glad we're on the same page.
Dads
3 men and a baby with Jack is what I'm saying.
I love it when the Trio are father-figures to younger troubled characters they see themselves in, even better if it's like reluctant-but-loving father figure, oh, that trope gets me every time :'^)
Dadstiel and DadDean are my favorites, but I like it when Sam plays "Uncle Sam" to kids too lol.
"Fellas, is it gay to want a tight knit family with your husband, his son, his vessel's daughter, your brother, his wife, your cop mother figure and her wife and their adopted daughters? Asking for a friend."
Garth
Biggest flaw of Supernatural was underutilizing Garth.
I will never not be bitter that Garth was only in like, 7 episodes out of the whole 15 season series.
Every episode with Garth gets immediately 5 times better.
I love Garth.
Follow ups on characters who had entire episodes featured around them and then just... vanished???
This is mostly about Jesse, the magic kid whose imagination ruled an entire town like, his daddy was a demon and nothing came of that kid??? Only one episode about him?? No follow up???
KID CAN MANIPULATE REALITY AND WE'RE NOT GONNA GET A FOLLOW UP ON THAT?????
Uh, there was that one episode with Ennis the guy whose girlfriend was killed by a monster? I think?? Who we never see again, that was weird.
Tamara from season 3, episode 1.
And of course-
Cassie
She was so cool, and then we never saw her again :////
She gets to be a badass.
Religious imagery
As a former Catholic school student who has become for the most part, disillusioned with religion, religious imagery in TV shows like Supernatural make my brain go "brrrrrr."
Fun episodes!!!
Like, after season 6 or so, there's a drop in funny episodes
I'm talking Changing Channels, The French Mistake type stuff. (Scoobynatural is an outlier and should not be counted.)
So anyway
In my version we would have more fun episodes
I'm thinking
GENDER-SWAP EPISODE, BABY!!
(why they didn't do that in the original, we'll never know.)
An episode where Dean gets to wear eyeliner
That's it, end of post.
I want less
Racism
Yeah I feel like this is self explanatory, nearly every reoccurring character in SPN is white, and black side characters normally die in the episode they first appear in, or they'll be featured as a villain (Uriel, Raphael, Billie, etc)
Also there's a lot of... uh... asian fetishism featured in the show (what with "Busty Asian Beauties) that's really gross, also Kevin was a bit of a stereotype...
Also also it's super yucky how they kill the gods from other religions like???? Uh??? That's super disrespectful, let's not do that????
I know Supernatural is like, inherently racist because monsters are a separate race that are seen as some dangerous "other" that must be eradicated by hunters in a form of genocide-
Okay we won't get into that but
Still
Stop killing all your POC
Fridgings/Unecessary murders of female characters
I know Supernatural starts with a fridging, so this will be a hard thing to remedy, but
One death that really pissed me off was the death of Charlie
Yeah, that was pointless and we're not doing that. Charlie gets to live and be an awesome aunt to Jack.
And also Claire
Charlie Bradbury Superiority
Charlie and Garth get to meet because they're nerd/geek solidarity.
British Men of Letters
I fucking hate these guys
They're "litcherally" the worst.
The worst part is that the actors they have playing the British AREN'T. EVEN. BRITISH.
And you can tell
Uh, and that's all for now, I'll add more later.
tag list for people who liked my "if this post gets one like I'll post my SPN reboot masterpost" post.

Thank you for the support, hope the wait was worth it.

Forgive me Father
Tom Holland!College AU
A/N: I was so nervous to publish this and then I forgot and I think that is now or never. There might be a part 2 to this but I am still working on it. Comments and feedback would be appreciated. Hope you enjoy!
Warnings: Implied smut, there is mention of a blowjob, blasphemy(?) I’m so sorry about that one also I don’t know how this kind of religious families work so I’m sorry about that.
Word count: 2508
“You two know each other?” His father says catching the way they are staring at each other
“Yeah” he says, a little too quickly
“We do, uhm… we go to college together” she offers at the same time. It stills sounds too ambiguous in her mind, so she provides “We have friends in common”
“Oh wow” goes now her father “what a coincidence, huh?”
“Yeah, funny how life works” Tom says quietly, not meaning for anyone to hear but her, his eyes are now more relaxed
When his parents asked him if he wanted to go to a little church gathering in the house of the pastor this morning he didn’t think he would run into her, least of all did he think she would be the daughter of the pastor. Here they were now, in her garden where the gathering was happening, surrounded by middle aged people that knew a completely different version of her than he did. For some reason this information made him a little giddy inside, the idea that a small part of her belonged to his mind only.
Their dads got into a polite conversation, the feeling of humble brag at their expense surround them quickly, making both of them blush and intervene into conversation to make it more lightly I wasn’t the editor in chief of the school paper but I wrote sometimes in it and Yes, I did help the old lady that lived in front of our house but it was mostly because you volunteered me. Their mothers uncomfortable smiles start to get bigger with each story and the stories start to get out of control
“Did I tell you about that time Tom saved a dog from drowning?”
“I didn’t, I was already in the pool when the dog jumped on me basically, didn’t have much saving to do” this pulls a giggle out of her lips, it sounds almost innocent, like the giggle of a high schooler in front of her crush and that makes him smile, feeling butterflies in his tummy.
He wants to keep talking, tell her all of the adventures he would go with his brothers when he was younger, pull that beautiful sound out of her again but just as he was about to talk again her mother interrupted, their dads still in a heated conversation about who was better
“Honey, why don’t you get Tom something to drink?” she gently took her elbow pushing her closer to him. They shuffled away from their parents and closer into the house, getting in the kitchen to follow her mom orders.
“‘We have friends in common’” he repeated playfully.
“What did you want me to tell them?” she whispered/yelled looking around making sure nobody listened “‘Oh yes Sir, we know each other, in fact last month I had your son’s cock in my mouth’”
“Jesus Christ” he said widening his eyes, checking around them just like she did before
“Don’t speak the name of the lord in vain” she said with a teasing tone, her eyes were shining with mischief, he knew that look “Besides is not entirely a lie, we do have friends in common”
“All of the friends we have in common are because we introduced them to each other” when he says that, it sounds like what they had was official. She blushes knowing that he didn’t mean it like that, they weren’t official… not yet at least. Yet?
Both of them met around October in a party that someone was hosting, neither of them knew in whose kitchen they were making out with this complete stranger, but they were enjoying it and weren’t drunk enough to forget about each other the next day. Since that day on they were a thing, an unofficial thing, an unofficial kinda exclusive thing. They weren’t dating but were hooking up, didn’t know much about each other to say they were friends with benefits but knew enough to know preferred alcoholic beverages and their soft spots. Something like acquaintance with benefits. They have gone to more parties where their friends were and ended up introducing them to each other, it was a lot more simple that the way he made it sound.
She lead him to the house, coming in through the kitchen that was significantly more quiet than outside, there was food and drinks everywhere
“Do you want something to drink or eat?” She said, clearing a place on the island in the middle of her kitchen to sit there “take anything you want” the motion she made to the refrigerator was almost lost in Tom’s head, thinking that the only thing he wanted to take was sitting in front of him. He approached her, parting her legs and settling there, his hands on either side of her, their faces close together.
They were so close -oh how he had missed this, her- The sound of his fathers laugh came clearly through the door and quickly his back was pressed against the counter opposite to her. Her eyes wide paying attention at her mother on the door of the kitchen, looking down whilst laughing, she didn’t saw anything, when her sight came up her brows furrowed
“How many times have I told you to not sit on the counters?!” Jumping down she saw how Tom was trying to hide a smile, looking at her with one eyebrow raised “Tom, has Y/N not
offered you something to drink?”
“Uh... she was just doing so actually” her mother’s eyes went to her showing disapproval, she hadn’t raised her that way. Making her way to the refrigerator she opened and started listing everything they had -if he wanted to make a good impression with her parents then he would have to pass from drinking beer- he wanted to make a good impression with her parents?
Truth be told, yes. He wanted to make a good impression with her parents and he wanted her to notice him trying to be nice in front of them.
“I’ll just have some lemonade if that’s okay, I’ll help with the heat” Smile grazing his face, she didn’t miss the tone on his voice, too polite for her but perfect for her mother.
“Of course, we have pink lemonade or just the regular one”
“Regular is okay, thank you” He looked over at her to see her rolling her eyes and sticking her tongue out to him. He chuckled under his breath, receiving now a cup of sweet homemade lemonade.
“C’mon, go enjoy the rest of the party” Her mom was so polite to him, if only she knew about the things they get down to.
She starts marching again, going back to the garden a little bit in front of him and maybe it was the lemonade or maybe it was her but the walk back made his hands feel a lot more damp than before. They weren’t damp before. This event filled with middle aged overly religious people was so much more nerve wracking now. She was a completely different person in here that to who he was used to, offering smiles left and right and looking so pure in that dress and fuck, that. dress. She looked so good. Taking a sip from his drink he decided to check out her legs, she was talking with an old lady that was serving herself some of the food in the incredible well decorated tables. When his eyes lifted up, just a little bit over from the rim of the cup he caught eyes with her dad. Not really paying attention to him but wandering his eyes around, making sure everybody was having a good time.
“So you have brothers-” she was interrupted by his voice, a version a little high of his voice.
“You have a really nice garden”
“What?”
“I’m sorry, I just- Your garden is big and nice… good grass you have here, my grass doesn’t look like this” He’s an idiot, he shouldn’t talk around her. Who allowed this. The cup met his lips again in a desperate way of calming himself down. Her small giggle was enough to give his heart the relief and at the same time accelerate him.
“My dad takes care of it. Besides I’m an only child and didn't have any pets growing up or anything like that, so… it helped maintain it?” Why were they talking about the grass? Was this that awkward? Has she read the signs wrong and he actually doesn’t like her like that?
“Yeah… just really nice… grass” SHUT UP, SHUT UP! He was saved by an old man coming towards her, smiling and saying how much had they missed her
“Oh my dear, Sunday’s aren't the same without you, we miss you so much” the old man said in a paternal kind of way, if it wasn’t for the extra politeness on her face he would have thought he was her grandfather.
“I miss you guys too, but you know, I have an education to take care of. Besides now you have me for the rest of the summer”
“Is she good over there?” he was caught off guard in his defense, but his silence was perceived as a queue for the man to keep going “Are you taking good care of her?” there was an implication there, and he could tell that she was raised having to interact with people like this on a daily basis because her response came immediately
“This is Tom, his parent go to the church too, by coincidence we go to the same college together, but yes, I have been good and I am taking care of myself, Lou”
“Oh, I’m so sorry” This Lou guy laughed away the awkward moment, stretching his hand out to Tom, who shook it saying a quick ‘hi, nice to meet you’ “You know Luke also misses you a lot” the wiggle on his eyebrows said everything
“Ah, that's nice, say hi from me when you see him again, Lou. If you excuse us”
She tilted her head a little towards a couple of chairs on the back of the garden signaling for him to follow her. After a nod to Lou he did, looking her say hi to some people and him smiling behind her. If she wanted to run for mayor of this town she definitely could. He wouldn't object to be the first… man?
Once sitting down there was silence. Not an awkward one but one that he was willing to fill, he wanted to hear her voice again. After the couple weeks they spent apart
“Who's Luke?” He didn't want to sound jealous or possessive, he wasn't. He was curious about this Luke guy that apparently had missed her a lot. He was curious if maybe during the time that they haven't seen each other she wasn't available anymore as something more than just a hookup
“His Grandson” she said. she was hiding her smile behind her pink lemonade cup, looking uninterested in Tom's question.
“I meant… you know what I meant” he shover her a little bit with his shoulder
“Yeah, you asked who Luke was and I answered, is there a problem with the answer?”
“How is Luke, Lou’s grandson, related to you?”
“Oh, well Lou and his wife go to church and my dad is the pastor that sometimes hosts parties, so we get to know the community better”
“You're a pain in the ass”
“Am I?” there was a smug smile on her face that he wanted to kiss off “Lou always tried to set me up with him because we are both around the same age and im such a “good girl” you know, good grades, nice to people and I never got in trouble, so he wanted us to date I suppose so yeah, just a guy I guess is the answer”
“Hmm, ‘good girl’” he said, the look that she had prior on her face was now being imitated by him. She laughed at this. The little devil is not even trying to fight him on this.
“You would know about that, wouldn't you?” her face was really close to his ear, the hairs on the back of his neck standing up and his whole body tense. “Why haven't we seen each other before this, in here?”
“My parents just moved here not long ago. Since now most of my brothers are out of the house they decided that they wanted to be nearer family so here was the place to be” his heart still hammering on his chest from the close proximity that she had now ended
“Brothers, huh?”
“Three younger”
“I know your youngest brother, I think? He went with your parents to the easter service”
“Yeah, he's forced to go. Mum doesn't make us, the older ones, take part of this side of the family if we don’t want to. So I just don’t go”
“Why are you here today then?”
“Destiny… or just pure luck i guess” her stupid heart was loud enough to lead a marching band if it wanted to, and if it weren’t for the cup on her hands she would have to wipe them down on her dress
“You're very cheesy, Holland. I didn't know this side of you” it felt so natural to be in her garden talking to her like that, suddenly her parents were not in the picture anymore, he only felt her around him, her perfume and her smile and her eyes and the way the sun radiates onto her hair
“I actually kinda missed you” his hand is trying really hard not to reach for her. Her dad is looking at them and he doesn’t want his disapproval. Why does he care so much?
“I missed you too” she gives out a soft smile. Oh, he knows why.
“You never told me your dad was a pastor” He tries to distract himself
“Yeah, dunno, don’t feel like that would be the best pick up line” If she could wrap herself around him and kiss all over his face she would, she a 100% would
The idea of her dad being in the same place as Tom should bring an uneasiness to her, but actually having Tom and her family in the same place felt… comforting, almost normal. Like they belonged there, maybe in other circumstances he would have come over before service to help her mom with the food and then he would drive to the church with her and now they could be holding hands and being a couple in front of all of these people.
Her hand let go of her cup and her eyes were locked onto his own hand on his knee. It was almost automatic the way his hand turned welcoming her own, she felt giddy and relief feeling that her hand wasn't the only one damp, which was kinda disgusting in the best way
“So… what do you say we ditch this and go for some ice cream?” her voice was soft like he had never heard before
“Is this your way of asking me out on a date?”
“Is that a yes?”
“That’s definitely a yes”

When Edge lived in Underfell, none of the Monsters he knew had cell phones. Not because they couldn't have used them but for the simple reason that if you had enough leftover G to trade for a phone then you were obviously not dedicating yourself enough to the more important aspects of Underfell life.
Staying alive, for example.
Anyone who did manage to save enough to pay for one of the taped-up devices with shattered screens and missing buttons that occasionally showed up in the shops would inevitably decide that they did, actually, need to eat more than they needed to call anyone and so eventually sold it on to the next fool, letting their debt spiral and expand in other ways that they would again regret far too soon.
The fact that Edge could easily afford a cell phone now made him feel old in ways that didn't seem possible.
He'd dreamt of Underfell the past few nights, or more precisely, a dream version of Underfell as it never was, seemingly from when he and Red first came to Snowdin with nothing more than the clothes on their backs.
It wasn't that strange a dream to have. These days Edge felt like he was starting over again, this time in a studio apartment where he slept on a futon mattress with no frame and ate his meals over the sink. It would look better soon enough, when he found some real furniture to replace what he'd left back (with Red) at the other place. Real furniture and dishes with more permanence than a few plastic forks and a stack of paper plates from one of the local restaurants would improve the appearance of his newest home, but he wasn't sure when it was going to start feeling real.
He doubted it was going to start at three am with his phone ringing.
Edge didn’t usually need to sleep more than a handful of hours in a night, a habit that was already serving him well in his college classes. That did not mean he didn’t need the sleep that he did get, and he woke from another dream about Underfell-as-it-never-was to his phone persistently buzzing next to him. He was barely awake as he fumbled for his phone in the darkness, managing to swipe ‘answer’ before mumbling into it, “H'llo?"
There was static in the background, blank white noise, and he almost tossed the phone back on the old milk crate that was temporarily serving as a nightstand when a voice finally said, "can you come get me?"
It might have taken him a little while to recognize the voice even if he hadn't still been mostly asleep. They hadn't talked in weeks and even then not for long. When he finally did mentally attach a name to that voice, Edge woke up further, dragged to wakefulness by pure astonishment.
“Stretch?” Of all people who might call him, Stretch wasn’t at the bottom of the list, but he was certainly close. That was surely the same for Stretch, neither of them were likely to call the other for a simple chat. Which meant if he was calling, then something must be very wrong. Edge sat up and clicked on the reading lamp by his bed, already kicking aside the blankets tangled around his legs. "Come get…where are you?"
A moment’s pause. There was something behind that static, a sort of distantly bustling sound of others, too quiet to be a bar or late-night diner, where could he possibly— "the bus station in cascade."
"Cascade?” Edge said, disbelievingly, “Cascade as in the next city over?" Cascade that was certainly not Ebott at 3am on what was a very early Friday morning.
More silence, then a sound that might have been a watery sigh. "yeah. that’s the place."
He sounded normal enough, but this was Stretch. Blue’s younger brother, his alternate from another world, and they were not precisely friends, yet he was at a bus station in Cascade calling Edge in Ebott a at three in the damn morning and…
Edge didn’t ask why Stretch couldn’t teleport or call his brother, call someone, anyone, else. He didn’t ask anything at all. He only said, "All right,” and rubbed a weary hand over his face. "I can be there in a half an hour, maybe. Just stay there, all right? Don’t leave the bus station."
The very last thing any of them needed was Stretch taking to the streets of Cascade in the darkest part of the night. If the bus station was where Edge thought it was, it wasn’t the safest part of the city even in broad daylight.
The faint buzz and background noise changed as if Stretch was walking, perhaps moving to make his agreement legitimate before he replied, "yeah, okay. i won’t."
The call disconnected before he could say anything else. Edge didn’t waste time trying to call him back. He scrambled out of bed, still sleep-clumsy as he snatched up the first pair of pants in his dresser and started yanking them on. Next was a t-shirt and socks, shoving his feet into the boots closest to the door as he shrugged on a jacket. A Monster alone in a bus station was an invitation for trouble anywhere, much less a strange, unwelcoming city like he knew Cascade to be. Any questions would have to wait until he knew Stretch was safe.
In minutes Edge was grabbing his keys and heading downstairs, his boots echoing in the dank concrete stairwell that led to the street. Soon after his car was pulling out onto the street, the cell phone he could never have afforded in Underfell on his dash with a soothing feminine voice directing him where to turn as he drove off into the night.
~*~
The traffic picked up once Edge drove into Cascade city, people on their way to their early morning jobs or heading home from late ones. It was closer to forty minutes when he finally pulled into the bus station parking lot and Edge made sure to lock his car before he went inside, the reassuring blip-bloop following him as he walked away. He pulled the hood of his jacket over his skull before he went inside, tucked into concealing depths. Once, he would have scoffed at constantly wearing a hoodie. It barely qualified as a disguise, anyone looking at him from the front could hardly mistake him for anything but a Monster. From behind, though, he could be anyone at all, and that was occasionally useful here on the surface, he’d learned.
Something that Stretch seemed to have learned as well. The bright orange hood pulled up over the head of the tall, slender person sitting in the waiting area was unmistakable.
Edge strode over swiftly, glancing around the station as he did. It was mostly empty. In one corner a sleeping Human was lying across several of the grungy seats looking less as if he were waiting for a bus than settled in for the night. Only one of the ticket stalls was open, another Human sitting inside it with her chin propped on a hand as she drowsed, the coffee cup next to her teetering ominously on the lip of the counter. The rest of the seats were empty, waiting for the next round of people coming from someplace else or heading out the same way. Edge took the one next to the orange hoodie, folding his hands into his lap rather than reaching out as he said cautiously, “Stretch?”
Stretch was sitting with his legs drawn up, his tall frame jigsawed between the arms of the narrow seat. His face wasn’t visible, words coming from inside the hood as he said, “i forgot my wallet, couldn’t buy a ticket.”
“All right,” Edge said, slowly, unsure of what else to say. His own wallet was in his back pocket, and he could easily buy a ticket to any destination listed on the board next to the ticket window; he’d saved all the money that came from the stipend given to all Monsters from the sales of their technology to the Humans and his savings would be enough for his classes and living expenses for quite some time yet. Could buy a ticket, was not about to do so without more answers.
There was no request for a ticket or anything else. The narrow shoulders under the hoodie hunched further, the arms around his upraised knees tightening as Stretch curled inward into the isolating shell of shirt and limbs. When he spoke again, his voice was thoughtfully low, quiet enough to almost be unheard. "thought about renting a car, heh, could’ve done that online with my phone. but the rental place is across town."
Rent a car? "Stretch,” Edge said carefully, “you can't drive." Unless that changed recently. Even if it had and even if somehow Stretch could get to the rental place, no wallet, no driver’s license, no car.
"you can.” The chair creaked as he shifted and for the first time Stretch looked up at him. His hood cast his face in shadow, showing only the moving line of his even teeth as he spoke and the soft glow of his eye lights. “you can drive. can't you?"
Edge met that pale gaze with his own, crimson boring into gleaming white. He didn't know what the hell was going on. He was tired, it was four am in a dirty bus station in a strange town and Stretch was not precisely his friend.
His eye lights were pale white, nothing at all like Edge’s, but the quiet desperation in their depths was like looking in a mirror.
Sleep was the furthest thing from his mind when Edge said, softly, "Yes. I can."
~*~
The walk back out to his car was a silent one, Stretch’s sneakers ghosting across the tile floor and his own stride was muted out of habit. The quiet was useful; in his mind, Edge was already making plans. He didn’t have class again until Tuesday, four days away, and in a few hours he’d send a message to Undyne asking her to feed his cat. Anything else could wait until he returned.
Walking through the parking lot interrupted his planning. The streetlamps weren’t as bright as he’d prefer, some of them flickering with a nauseating strobe effect that created concealing shadows. Lengthening his strides to put himself ahead of Stretch was automatic, leading the way to the car and if Stretch noticed, he said nothing. He kept his own hands tucked into his pockets rather than at the ready, gravel scattering under his shuffling steps.
The caution proved unnecessary, this time. With a quick button press, Edge unlocked the car and they both got in, Edge pushing back his hood and Stretch leaving his up while they fastened their seatbelts. The roads were busier now, more people driving to and fro the way they did every day, stopping to buy their coffee with their bagged lunches on the seat next to them. Edge turned towards the main highway, merging into traffic and heading towards the lightening sky before he asked, “Where are we going?”
Stretch only looked out the window, his eye lights reflected in the glass. “somewhere else.”
Edge nodded and replied, “All right.” He pressed down harder on the gas, the car surging forward as he drove towards the rising sun.

Innocence
Tumblr media
Genre: Mafia AU, Angst, Fluff
Pairing: Namjoon/Reader
Warnings: violence, guns/gun violence, cursing, violence against women, home invasion
Synopsis: When you end up getting caught in the crossfire, you’re brought to the local mafia leader who promises to rehabilitate you. Although, falling in love you certainly wasn’t part of the plan.
﹥━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━﹤
"Shit, she's bleeding out," someone said from a few feet away.
"What? Who?"
"I don't know some random lady."
You moaned in pain as a pair of boots approached you and eventually, you could make out the fuzzy face of someone crouching over you. You couldn't tell where the pain was coming from, only that you felt it rippling through your body
"Fuck, Namjoon doesn't like when innocent people get hurt. We've gotta take her back with us."
"What? Isn't that just part of it? Innocent people get caught up in this shit all the time."
"Not the way Namjoon does it, come on, come grab her legs."
As one of the men looped his arms underneath your armpits, you felt one final jolt of pain that felt like it was ripping your body apart before everything went black.
﹥━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━﹤
"Is she going to live?" one of the men who'd brought you back asked.
"Yes, barely," Namjoon said, his face firm and his voice steadier than normal. "You're sure it wasn't one of your bullets?"
"All of our bullets were accounted for, sir."
Namjoon nodded. "If I find out either of you are lying, you know the consequences?"
Both men nodded in understanding.
The doctor emerged from the room where you were. "She's waking up, sir. I'll leave the rest to you. Call me if she starts showing any concerning signs."
Namjoon nodded and waved the doctor off and entered your room.
If it weren't for the drab gray appearance of the room, it would've looked like you were in a normal hospital room. An IV in your arm and white sheets pulled up to your chin. Your eyes were still closed, but your heart monitor was beginning to slowly pick up from it's near flat line when you'd arrived.
He pulled a stool from the corner of the room and sat next to your watching as your chest moved slowly up and down. The doctor had extracted the bullet and cleaned the blood from your skin and clothes. Your bloody jeans and sweatshirt had been washed and were folded on a table in the corner of the room. Your hair was still dirty, but the blood washed from its tips.
You looked younger than when he'd first seen you and it only made his chest ache. He had no idea who you were or what you had been doing in that part of town, but you certainly didn't deserve the bullet in your shoulder. It had nearly missed your collarbone and the important blood vessels, but you'd still lost enough blood to be anemic.
Your eyelids began to flutter and Namjoon sat still as he met them.
﹥━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━﹤
You opened your eyes and were immediately met with a pair of unfamiliar brown ones.
"Hello," the man said. He sat with his elbows on his thighs and his hands clasped together.
Other than the fact that you had no idea who the man was, the more concerning thing was that you had no idea where you were and you were seemingly alone with him. If you had to take a guess, the room almost seemed like a storage room of some sort; a cement floor and shelves lining all but two of the walls. They were mostly empty except for vague medical supplies.
"Where am I?" you asked, the beep of your heart monitor beginning to quicken.
"You're safe." The man sat up straighter, but his eyes never left you. "I'm Kim Namjoon. What's your name?"
You eyed him suspiciously. "Y/N."
"Just Y/N," he asked, his eyebrow arching.
"For now."
He chuckled before getting up and heading for a sink in the corner of the room. He filled a glass and walked back over to you with a pill in his hand.
"Take this," he said, placing the pill in your palm and holding the glass above you for when you were ready. You stared at him for a moment before glancing down at the pill. It looked normal and based upon the fact that this man was most likely the one responsible for saving your life, he would have no reason to kill you now, right? "It's an iron supplement. Cause you lost so much blood. You'll have to take them every day for a couple months."
You nodded and placed the pill in your mouth and swallowed it down. There was a feeling in the pit of your stomach that you could trust Namjoon, at least that he wouldn't kill you.
"Now, I need you to tell me everything you remember from the night you were shot."
﹥━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━﹤
You were on your way home after work. You'd just graduated and started in an entry-level position at your dream company, but it left you exhausted and overworked. It was already nearly 11 and you knew you should've allowed your co-worker to drive you home, but you didn't know him well enough yet to trust him with where you lived.
You normally felt fairly safe walking through the city by yourself. You'd grown up there and you knew the areas to avoid, but you were tired and decided to take a short cut through a rougher neighborhood.
You took out your headphones and increased your pace so that you were walking faster than your normal pace, but wouldn't look too scared or suspicious.
For the first ten minutes, everything was normal, but as you neared the end of the neighborhood and the beginning of yours, you heard yelling. You looked around and couldn't find a source, so you kept walking and as you crossed an alleyway, a man ran into you, knocking off your feet.
You sat up, your vision a little blurry and your head still coming off its daze. As your vision came back, you stood up and braced yourself against the wall. That's when you looked up and the shot came. You couldn't see who shot you, if they meant to, or if it was just an accident. Heck, you couldn't even tell which direction the bullet came from.
You fell to your knees and eventually on your back. At first, the pain was unbearable, you felt the blood pouring out of your shoulder, although couldn't tell if it was from the back or front. But, eventually, the pain ceased and your eyelids began to feel heavy. It was soon after the man lifted you that a final burst of pain caused everything to go black.
﹥━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━﹤
"You don't know who shot you?" he asked. The darkness in his eyes as he asked the question caused the pain in your shoulder to flare.
You shook your head. "It happened too fast."
He nodded, before getting up and leaving the room without another word. You then only saw strangers as they came to give you meals or check your wound which still had a long way to heal.
﹥━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━﹤
"Morning," Namjoon said, in the exact same cadence he said it every morning. He laid a tray over your lap which had a spinach and cheese omelet, toast, and a rotating menu of meats. Today was two slices of bacon. And, of course, on the side was a pair of iron supplements.
"Think you can eat it all today?" he asked. While you needed the nutrients, you had basically no appetite most of the time, but today, the toast was spread with a red jam it usually wasn't, which made you bite into it immediately. Raspberries. Your favorite. "Why don't you tell me about your job today?"
He pulled a chair to your bed and flipped it around and sat on it backward, allowing his arms to dangle off the top. The two of you had promised to tell each other something about each other each day. You knew it was a way to get information out of you and monitor your well being, but you didn't really mind. It started to become one of your favorite parts of the day.
"I'll tell you about mine if you tell me about yours."
He stiffened at that. You had your suspicions that Namjoon's job was less than legal considering how you ended up meeting him. You just weren't sure exactly what it was he did. Was he some sort of drug lord? A gang member? A pimp? Your stomach turned at the possibilities.
"Okay," he said. "You just have to promise that you won't be scared of me."
"O-okay."
He nodded, although you knew he caught the shaking in your voice. "You first."
"I—uh—I work for a non-profit that benefits women who have been victims of violence," you said. "I help process all the donations and make sure all the finances match up. I was an accounting major in college, but I didn't really feel like doing other people's taxes for the rest of my life. I want to feel like I'm making some sort of difference. Even though I don't make as much money, I feel like it's worth it."
"You are," he said. "You are making a difference."
Silence filled the room for a few moments, but it wasn't awkward or tense, it was simply you and Namjoon in your own thoughts. His eyes locked on you and your eyes unconsciously noticed the dimples on his cheeks that appeared and disappeared as he talked.
"All right, you promised," you said. "Your turn."
Namjoon's posture straightened and he cleared his throat. "Oh, well, I'm sort of the leader of the local mafia. I mean, it's not quite as nefarious as it seems. It's mostly just money laundering and stuff like that."
"But, you still kill people?"
"I never have. My men do only when necessary."
You gulped and pulled your eyes away from him. "Then, why did you save me?"
"Because I don't like innocent people getting hurt."
"How did this happen? How did you become the leader? You--you just don't seem like the type."
"My family," he said. "They kind of started this whole thing. I went to college and everything, but ultimately, I didn't know how to be anything else."
"You know you could always leave it behind. You're the leader. You could end all of this."
"It's not that easy. If I end it, I immediately become a target or someone would start it back up. And, let's just say, you don't want this kind of operation falling into the wrong hands. Many wouldn't have batted an eye at you getting shot."
"Don't think you're the hero here. Whether or not it was your men who shot me, whether or not you chose to save me, I still got shot because of you."
Namjoon's jaw stiffened and he crossed his arms over his chest. "You're right, I'm sorry," he said. "Although, it's not quite as easy to just leave."
"What did you study in college?"
"Huh?" He paused. "Literature and Writing."
You smiled. "Why don't you read to me?" you asked. "I never really got to take any literature classes in college and I missed them. I still have longer to recover. You could read to me whenever you wanted to."
"I'd like that," Namjoon said, his dimples appearing and lighting up his face.
﹥━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━﹤
You laid back with your head and neck pressing back against the pillow as you closed your eyes as Namjoon's voiced lulled you asleep. You knew it wasn't just his voice and the way his voice took on a smooth rhythm as he read or the way his voice grew hoarse eventually. The doctor had slowly been weaning you off of the painkillers, while the pain wasn't as intense as before, it still exhausted you.
He was reading from Jane Eyre a book you certainly hadn't expected Namjoon to choose. The gothic element was enough to send shivers down your spine, but not keep you from falling asleep.
You were halfway through the book now and you knew you would never finish. Your condition was improving and you barely needed pain medication anymore. The doctor came once a day and today he had told you that he thought you'd be able to go back to your own apartment and life the next day.
Namjoon stopped reading and it jolted you out of your half-slumber.
"Why'd you stop?"
"I thought you were asleep."
You opened your eyes and shook your head, although your eyelids were only half open crescent moons and the way you were forcing them open made Namjoon chuckle.
"You're tired, anyway," he said. He closed the book and stood up from his chair. "Goodnight. Sleep well."
You watched as Namjoon walked towards the door and felt something in your chest. "Wait," you said. "This is the last night and we haven't finished the story."
"Y/N, we still have half the book left. There's no way--"
"Just stay with me tonight," you said. "I'll have to go back to being in my apartment all alone tomorrow and I don't know. I've enjoyed having you around."
"Y/N--" Namjoon said. "You're just--this isn't right--"
Namjoon's eyes met yours for a second before he ripped them away and walked out of the room with the book still in hand.

"She--she asked me to stay with her," Namjoon said. He sat in his desk chair with his feet resting up on the desk, something he only did when he was thinking deeply.
"Is that a bad thing?" his right-hand man, Yoongi asked. "You like her, right?"
"Yes, but Yoongi, she hasn't been out of that room for weeks. She's only seen me and the doctor with only a couple of exceptions. It's just Stockholm Syndrome."
"We didn't kidnap her though. She could've left if she wanted."
"Yes, Yoongi, but why would she? She would've had to pay for medical care elsewhere. Even if we didn't mean to, we trapped her here. She's hardly seen anyone but me. Of course, she'll become attached."
"It's not like you were torturing her, Joon. You were helping her and I see the way you look at her too. Everyone does."
"If I wanted to, I can't give her the life she deserves. She's doing good things, Yoongi. She's innocent and I want her to stay that way." Yoongi nodded in his head in understanding, but there lingered a small glint of hesitation in his eyes. "And, even if I could, keeping her around her is dangerous. If our rivals found out about her, she'd become a target."
Namjoon sighed and stood up from his desk and shuffled through his papers. "Make sure she gets home safely tomorrow. Keep a couple of men in the area for the next week or so just in case it was a targeted attack."

"He's not coming?" you asked the man who introduced himself as Yoongi.
He shook his head and gave you a sympathetic look. "But, he did want me to give you this."
Yoongi reached into his bag and pulled out the copy of Jane Eyre Namjoon had read to you. It was an old copy--at least fifty years old--and he had a bookmark stuck halfway through. You opened to the marked page and found his handwriting on the bookmark. He wrote in black ink. It was neat, although smudged around the edges because he'd closed the book on it when the ink was still wet.
It's your turn to read now Namjoon x
Your eyes focused down on the 'x'. It certainly didn't mean anything, it was just his way of signing off, but it left you satisfied as you walked out of the door escorted by Yoongi and a few other men.

"Y/N!" one of your coworkers said, rushing into your office. "You're never going to believe this."
"What?" you asked looking up from your work.
"Some guy just came in here. He was so handsome and wearing a fancy suit and he wrote us a thirty thousand dollar check." She held up the check so you could see it.
"No way," you said, grabbing the check from her hands. You held it up to the light and placed it under the black light you had to verify authentic donations. You had a weird feeling in your gut and you glanced down at the signature on the check. You couldn't make out a particular name, but a shiver ran down your spine. "What was his name?"
"Oh, well, I don't think he told us his real name. But, you know the rich types, always wanting to protect their identities."
"Y/C/N, what. was. his. name?"
"Mr. Rochester."
6 months later
"We're a bit short his month, Y/N," your boss said. "You know I hate to deduct from wages. It wasn't much this month."
You nodded. It was the reality of working for a non-profit. Sometimes you got paid and sometimes you didn't, but you knew the money was going to people more deserving of yourself. You waited until you were on your way home to open the envelope and see just how much you were getting that month. When your eyes met the total, you slowly looked down before continuing onto your apartment.
You pushed the key into the lock wondering just how you were going to scrounge up enough money for next month's rent. You could always sell something or do some odd jobs on the weekends. You opened your door and stepped inside feeling your foot slip forward, causing you to nearly trip, your only savior is your right hand was still holding on to the doorknob.
You got your footing and bent down to find a small envelope that was slid under your door. Your name was printed neatly on it. Normally, this would freak you out, but you noticed the same black ink from the bookmark in the copy of Jane Eyre.
I know money has been tight. Here's rent for the next couple months. Keep doing what's important x Mr. Rochester
Tears came to your eyes and your bit your index finger as you read the note over and over again. He was absolutely insufferable and part of you wanted to rip up the check, but instead, you slipped it out of the envelope and into your purse.
9 months later
It was a quiet Saturday night when you heard the knock at your door. It was nearly 11 pm and you weren't expecting anyone. You were already in your pajamas and you had picked up Jane Eyre for the first time in a few months. It wasn't that you found it particularly hard to read, but every time you picked it up, you were reminded of him. The man you had no idea why you still thought about. The man who occasionally came into your life and then left just as quickly.
The knock came again and louder this time. This time panic rushed down your spine and you froze. Was it best to approach the door and give away the fact you weren't asleep? Or was it best to just act like you'd already done to bed and hope they go away?
You stayed put, but clutched your cellphone close to you. Another knock never came, but instead the rustling of the doorknob and the clicking of the lock. It was when you heard it successfully unlock that you ran towards the kitchen. You grabbed your largest kitchen knife and crouched in the corner.
You were in the middle of dialing emergency services when you were yanked up by your hair and your cellphone went clattering to the floor.
"Ah, yes, you are her," the man said.
You didn't recognize the man in front of you. He was taller than you and held your hair in a tightening grip that caused you to whimper.
"You're plainer than I expected. He's head over heels for you, so I figured you must be beautiful. But, I guess, you must have better things to offer." He smirked, but unlike the smirks Namjoon sometimes let slip, this one terrified you.
"Who are you?" you asked.
"It doesn't matter to you baby girl," he said. "All you need to know is that you're going to die."

"Namjoon!" Yoongi said, running into the room, breathless. His face was red and his eyes were creased, almost in fear. It was uncommon for Yoongi to get so worked up, let alone run. He spoke when he finally caught his breath, "Min-sung," he said. "Min-sung was seen near her apartment."
Min-sung had once been a trusted man, but he began getting greedy. Wanting to take all the jobs. Skimming money off the top. He felt betrayed when Namjoon finally let him go. You'd think he'd be grateful, most other bosses would've had him killed for how much money he stole, but no. Min-sung's mind was only focused on the drugs he took and the money he needed to buy them.
Namjoon's eyes widened. He pulled open his desk drawer, nearly pulling the entire drawer out of it's setting. He pulled out a handgun and fed in the clip. It had not once been fired. Namjoon had never had the urge nor the need to kill, until that very moment.

"I'm going to play with you," he said. "To let him know you suffered. His precious little secret on the south side of the city."
"Please, I don't know who you're talking about. The walls are thin. I'm sure the neighbors are worried by now." Both were lies, but you hoped it came off convincing enough. He'd let go of your hair, but now he straddled you.
"Tell me, how do you want to die?"
"I don't want to die."
He laughed. "Of course not, sweetheart. But, you're going to. I'm being generous and giving you a choice. I could take that knife you had when I came in and stab you or I could kill you with my hands on your throat. Or, I could hold your head down in the bathtub and watch as you writhe around--"
Tears pushed out of your eyes and you felt blood sprout from your bottom lip as you dug into it. You squirmed underneath the man trying to wriggle yourself free or one of your limbs free.
"You know, I haven't really given much thought to dying," you said. You slowly slipped your foot upwards until you had enough leverage to bring your knee into his crotch.
He doubled over in enough pain for you to free yourself. You ran back towards the kitchen to grab the knife from earlier. You wrapped your palm around the hilt, but he was behind you before you could turn around. With all your might, you forced the knife backward, but it was at an awkward angle. Yet, you still heard him wince.
The knife dropped from your hand and the man turned you around, forcing your back against the counter. You noticed a long cut on his arm and felt a small sense of pride. At least if he was going to kill you, he would have a scar.
His hands wrapped around your neck and his thumbs sat right on top of your windpipe. You made eye contact with him as he pushed down and you made a small croaking sound as your eyes grew wider and your toes pointed in reaction to the lack of air.
"Stop...please...help...Namjoon..."
You managed only a few words before you ran out of air to manage any sounds. Your vision was beginning to blur and you knew in a few seconds you'd black out and it'd be the end.
The last few moments were so loud you couldn't make out what happened. Yelling, shuffling, a slam of a door, a loud pop. Then, it was all over.

"Y/N, Y/N, please come back to me."
You opened your eyes to see Namjoon crouched over you. Blood stained his shirt and even parts of his skin, but his hand was clean as it caressed your cheek softly.
"Thank God," he said. "I thought I was too late. The doctor is on his way and so are my men to clean up everything. We'll pay off the neighbors to keep things quiet if we have to. You don't need to worry."
"I'm not worried, Namjoon." Your voice was hoarse and still not all the way there. You felt the bruises forming on your neck and your entire body ached. You turned you head to see your attacker laying in a pool of blood a few feet away.
"Hey, hey, don't look at that. Come on."
"I'm not a child."
"That doesn't mean you need to see a dead guy on your kitchen floor."
He lifted you up and carried you into your bedroom. After setting you down, he went back out to the living area and grabbed the copy of Jane Eyre.
"You didn't get very far."
"I've been busy."

Namjoon is almost done setting up everything in his new office when he hears a soft knock at the door. A delivery person carrying a large bouquet of flowers strides in and sets the vase on his desk and left without a word.
Curious, Namjoon walked from the corner of the room where he had been shelving books and to the center of the room. He plucked the card from among the flower heads.
I finally found time to finish the book. Congrats on the new job. Let's meet soon. Love, Jane
