Okay so I barely practiced and made it to regionals like once so im NOT the expert here but uh headcanoning that Jess did air rifle when she was a teen. Like idk if it would be as part of a team like with a high school (what I'm familiar with) vs like an individual thing vs like a travel/competitive team (it depends on the sitch in her area growing up) but she definitely went to some national matches (probably including JOs/JO quals like i think she was GOOD). I think she probably would have quit competitively following a bad shot at nationals (relatable) along with anxiety about competition (ALSO relatable) but still kept up with shooting casually for fun and relaxation and to hang out with friends etc.

She definitely would have shot smallbore competitively too but I never did that bc I was lazy so idk to much abt it competitively

I need to specify, whatever is being said below is NOT my opinion, it's my brother's. He doesn't have tumblr so he wanted to make a post on here. I'm just typing this and giving the phone to him so here you go (I will react to this in the tags after I read)

Hi this is her brother. I wasn't soo excited for the album as much as her; to tell the truth I didn't care at all. I know it may be insulting for you hardcore JO fans but hear me out. I am a joker out fan (obviously) but my sister doesn't actually know till what extent. Because I LOVE THEM SO MUCH but i can NEVER tell how I really feel for unknown reasons. First of all, I didn't listen to all of them but plastika is my most favourite 😍. I listened to demoni too (I don't want to sound as if I'm musically brilliant but I act like I am) I think bojan sounds a bit tired but the music is too good to be put in text and the crowd....... Listening to plastika didn't make me cry but it made me feel something, I lost all the feeling behind my eyes, I was awaken. I never told her about this or any of my true feelings about JO because I really don't know whyy! That's all I have to say. All the other feelings can't be put into words please don't think I'm overacting or exaggerating. Please don't be offended abt what I said about demoni. Don't get me wrong I LOVE DEMONI to high and above. I like Jan. Actually I think I like Jure more. I can't choose.

oh boy whyyyy did i put 'part two' on this list. sorry to fake you out!! 'part two' is just the current part of the gta au that i'm working on. in my head the whole fic is in 3 coherent and totally correctly structured parts. hehhh what can i share that isn't 'spoilery' ... uhhh ..

Isaiah takes in the bounce in Sam’s step, pursing his lips in predictable judgement. “Do I even want to know?” “Hell of a job,” he says with a shrug. Sam’s laugh bursts from his chest, almost hysterical. His heart is still pounding in his ears, and he shakes out his hands to dispel some of the latent energy. Maybe there is something a little wrong with him. “Uhhuh,” Isaiah says as he pockets his payment. “There’s someone waiting for you in your office, by the way.” Sam slows his trot, glances towards the low building like it might give him some clue as to what’s waiting for him. He can’t help another smile, as he asks, kind of hopes, “is it trouble?” “Yeah,” Isaiah stretches the word with disappointment. “Think it’s the kind you like, though.”

“Oh, good,” Steve’s voice comes cheerily from the open doorway. “You’re both here.” “Yup,” Sam answers. Bucky clears his throat, but nothing he wants to say is gonna be nice. Plus, Sam somehow still thinks he’s a thoughtful guy, a decent friend, so Bucky swallows down the many, many things he could say to Steve, and instead tucks his forehead into Sam’s collarbone. It's a mistake, he smells so good, like sweat and ozone. Bucky rocks their hips together without thinking and earns a mean pinch on his ass in retaliation. “I was thinking about getting pizza,” Steve goes on, “maybe… two pizzas?” The smirk Bucky can hear in Steve’s voice makes him frown. Who taught Steve to smirk? What is he even doing here? Why didn’t they lock the door?

lol oh goddddd okay... you know buckysam&scott is a mess because 1- i first outlined it during lockdown and 2- i've hated every title i've tried so far. essentially it's just yet another slutty sam college au but this time he moves in with chaotic-with-hearts-of-gold scott and clint, goes to a frat party for a beer pong tournament that clint and natasha play in (obviously), hooks up with bucky, and spends most of the fic navigating the ensuing situationship.

The smell of bacon wakes him up later that afternoon. Bucky is gone, no text or note, no trace, and Sam’s clothes are still in a pile by the door like he fucked a ghost. Cool. Sam pulls on his favorite sweatshirt from the bottom of his closet and drags himself out to the kitchen. “What’d you get up to last night, eh?” Clint greets with a raised eyebrow.  He's barely hiding his amusement behind the comically large coffee mug Natasha bought him. He's in a shirt that's somehow too loose in the shoulders while somehow also being too short to make it past his hips. All in all he's a familiar sight. “More like who he got up to,” Scott says. Sam squints at him, and doesn't even get a response. Sam shrugs. “I don’t kiss and tell.”  Clint and Scott glance at each other, an unspoken since when? that Sam should probably be offended by. “Okay.” He amends with a yawn, “I don’t kiss and tell before I’ve had breakfast.”

Ted Sarandos tries so hard to be like-able and relatable more than any other studio executive I've ever seen.

Like, look at this dude?

Don't you just want to punch him in the face?

And it gets worse...

He might look friendly and charismatic amongst these familiar faces, but at the end of the day, Ted is just another studio executive who is willing to cut costs wherever he can, in what he sees as loose ends capable of saving Netflix millions, but actually does in fact result in devastating repercussions for real people.

And yet still, I question his plan for all of this, as Ted is behind the company that has changed the way entertainment is consumed in the first place, with their company flourishing as a direct result of the 07-08 writer's strike. At first it was slow, but then it was full speed ahead, with Netflix starting a trend of streaming that upended the entire entertainment industry, essentially forcing everyone to follow suit. This has then brought us to a point where the conditions and compensation for workers do not at all match what is expected of them, because it is all based on an expired business model that no longer applies.

And yet, Ted has chosen the route as a CEO to create this friendly mask of familiarity amongst his talent and in the business as a whole, in a way that makes you want to trust him.

When new productions are coming out, he's in attendance making small talk and gushing in interviews about how important it is to tell all these stories, making it clear he's trying to convey that morality and this idea of doing the right thing, is important to him presumably.

But how can he call himself 'a union man', from 'a union family' and push this moral agenda, if he's going to continue to play one of the biggest roles in this strike, with the ability to solve it swiftly by just meeting the guilds demands, all the while tearing down that moral image entirely in the process by refusing to do so?

Because the thing is, this image of morality is him using human emotions that he knows make people fall in love with movies and TV in the first place. He knows that a lot of the support comes from people who give a fuck about human lives and people being treated fairly, especially now in 2023.

So, why in the hell would he expect the people he is presenting this morality to, as a cornerstone of their mission (manipulation tactic to distract from the true goal: exponential growth of profits...), to just sit by and be okay with the writers and actors and anyone and everyone on these movies/shows sets, to feel like they are being taken advantage of and abused because of his working conditions???

In the scenario Ted wins and the writers lose, Ted STILL loses, because this facade is now overshadowed by resentful workforce and an audience that is going to have a hard time getting behind trusting this company long term, eventually leading to their downfall.

You think people want to watch a show where we know the working conditions were awful, with them being on the cusp of changing that, only to be fucked over and have to go right back to those conditions?

The strike is a double edged sword at this point, but there's no denying these executives (esp charismatic Ted) would be much better off taking the -0.3 annual costs and calling it a day.

I guess it doesn't really matter though, because to Ted and all these other executives, the bottom line for investors will always be short term growth. They care about right now, not the future. If they can keep up the act that everything is going swell and convince their investors (and competitors) that profits went up this quarter and are projected to continue going up in the next one, they're doing their job. Even if that means burning to a crisp later on, so be it. It'll most likely be someone else's problem by then anyways...

Regardless, I look forward to seeing Ted succumbing to his inevitable fate of meeting the guilds demands, all while he himself has spent years building up and fostering this friendly image, encouraging this idea that morality is important to the end goal. Who would have thought Ted?? That your facade would contribute to backfiring in a strike for workers rights, supported heavily by the very public your company has spent the last decade providing content to, that supports that very same message?
