doodles on the margins. – miles 1610 x gn!reader

being miles' seatmate is a massive blessing, yet... also a massive curse. the curse being that neither of you could keep your pens, pencils–even brushes, be it paint or calligraphy–away from the others' clear notebook pages or clean scratch papers. you both would always come home with littered designs and doodles, expressing your feelings to each other out on the margins of your notebooks and the corners of your book pages.

in art class, you both took the liberty of expressing your feelings and viewpoints out to the world, like how your teacher defined what art was; it starts with an idea, and then becomes a beautiful flurry of colors, words, movements and all. you were both giggling as you drew on his notebook's margins, with your knuckles brushing over the side of his hand as his fingers would make contact with the back of your hand as you both ran the tips of your pencils over the once clear and spotless pages.

"what is that?" miles asked you in a hushed voice, accompanied by the ringing sound of his chuckle. you pointed out that your cute little blob of a creature was a fat frog, that looked utterly adorable. miles shook his head as he doodled a spider crawling down the margins next to the frog. "i know frogs don't look that goofy." "that's because you've never met my frog before, miles." you said with a giggle as miles asked you in a whisper shout, " you have a frog?!"

"yes, mr. morales? would you and your friend like to, um, make our art class a biology class?" your art teacher spoke up, asking you both with a confused smile about what you two were discussing. the two of two of you froze up and widened your eyes as the whole class turned their heads and darted their gaze your way. "u-um... just expressing our freedom of opinion... through our creative minds!" he said with an awkward smile as the art teacher nodded and smiled wider. your teacher walked over to you two and asked to see miles' notebook, but with the two of you reluctantly showing them the doodle covered margins of the notebook.

the teacher looked through it, and unexpectedly, their smile widened as they saw all the little creatures and people you two drew. they handed it back with a mutter of 'how creative' under their breath. the teacher then clasped their hands together and announced a surprise assignment: to fill the margins of their art notebooks with as many doodles as the students can fit. "i'll be looking forward to your output, you two." they said with a soft voice as you two bashfully smiled and thanked your art teacher and hurried off.

you both breathed a sigh of relief and slight confusion. "so... guess we have our work cut out for us now?" you asked miles as he nudged your arm with his elbow with a crooked smile. "ganke dmed me, he's telling me he won't make dinner for us tonight because we inspired the teacher about homework." miles said with a sigh as you faked a disappointed groan. "well then, text him back that i'll treat you out to a nice dinner and date to the art museum nearby? let's pretend curfew doesn't exist." you said with a wide grin as miles chuckled back. "oh, well... okay then, who am i to say no?" he asked you as you gently took his hand in yours and he held your hand back and walked down the halls with you–smudged ink stains and pencil marks on the side of both of your hands as you two walked down the halls.

also cove absolutely buys things in your favorite color! like how in step 2 he can find some sea glass that is the color of your eyes and give it to you saying it reminded him of you 🥺 so i think he definitely, consciously or unconsciously, buys or is otherwise drawn to things that are your favorite color or otherwise remind him of you 💕 if youre collecting shells or seaglass or little rocks and other things, he is always drawn to colors he associates with mc/reader, if he sees something out of the corner of his eye that is one of those colors, he has to turn and get a better look, things like that lol

and cove sdflkjsdf the food will get gross if you dont eat it eventually!! please eat it sdflkjfds thats very sweet though

GRUSHAA... ahhh i thought about this a lot even though its new. but one day dahlia decided they wanted to snowboard with him and made this huge plan to be able to without him getting hurt or making him uncomfortable. so after dragging grusha somewhere private, dahlia looks at him with big ol' eyes because he set it up that they could snowboard together and grusha is just silent. like the mobility aid, the pokemon, the safety precautions. like sure its not the "exact same" but it makes him pause and he looks like he's about to cry. but they're able to snowboard together and he's so happy and he's smiling and laughing again after so long!! when its over. As soon as he hears Misha’s voice, Jensen is just like "!!! 😍🥰🥺 Misha! 🤪😂🤣", especially when Misha does his indiarussia accent that NO one finds as funny as Jensen. We even get a full-body unicorn laugh <3. And I love observing cockles with Jared (or anyone else) present because Jared just sits there literally like this 🙂😶😬🙄 like "yes haha funny but rlly Jensen please it is not that funny". And Jen’s eyes are just GLUED to misha! And then Jared goes “I think the show was better without misha”(joking, whatever) and I SO expected like a joke from Jensen and for him to agree because that would be what the vibe asks for, right, and he just CAN’T LIE! literal fruit bats (and other similar bats of this kind of built! eee! Plusheon on Etsy makes quite a few different bats and a few sting rays too! If you want some stuffed animal serotonin I'd highly recommend looking at their stuff!)

just this... super neat cicada. (Tyler Thraser. pretty cool stuff!) Sick. Not just cute but. Cool. Real cool. there are other similar stuffed animals of different types too! I remember my grandpa had a similar one of a frog/tadpole

these guys from Floppy cat creations!! Absotely love them, they are a sight to behold. I found these little guys from their tiktok, which shows alot of the making of "frankenpunks" which are competely unique and made through dice rolling (and a whole lot of creativity to pull it together)

I love the personality they have in them. Though, maybe not as much of a stuffed animal, kind of split from the original point of the post, but super cool!!!

these long cat plushies are absoltely precious, and made just to be. Cuddled and snuggled and appreciated by us. My late best friend (amazingly) crocheted me one of these for christmas. He passed away soon after, but I value the gift he gave me alot. Definitely would recommend getting one of these if you like cuddling or snuggling things when you sleep. also! behold!!! him!!!

This is the first stuffed animal I remember having. They were named butterscotch. I lost them when I moved at 4 years old, and I still cried about them on the bus in third grade at least twice. Years and years later, I was able to track down the name of this kind of dog plushie. To the best of my knowledge, that is the very same design of stuffed animal that I held so dear and lost at the age of 4.

this is stretch, of which I own one. This appears to be a size smaller than mine, and honestly! there just is no way to take a good picture of mine because of the sheer size and build of his limbs! He is my soulmate.

these guys!!!! you ever seen a booth selling these guys at a festival or something? they're amazing. They're filled with like. Some kind of sand or something so they're kind of hefty, the perfect weight. You can like. wear them around. absolutely in love with them <333 I have a frog build more like these two and a larger gecko that looks sort of like this

I got him from goodwill so he's kind of old which means that! some of his beans or whatever is inside him have flattened or his fabric has stretched or whatever wear and tear, and he is so lovely and liquid like. He is so silly. His natural position is draped over something. I will put him over my arm or shoulder and he will just stay.

speaking of festivals! I went to a festival and was introduced to this brand, blooe. It seems like it's run by this older couple (can't quite remember) and they were selling all these wonderful little guys! The worms went on sale a while after I saw them in person

and later they were selling the starfish! looks like those are on the website now too!

they are the most fluffy n precious things... The starfish also has some heft to it (little bit weighted) which I like!

these are definitely more achievable options to buy! I love them.

Brief Summary: Raven and Maddie attempt to carry a clay frog up a staircase.

Raven had long since learned to be cautious about shopping with Madeline Hatter. That girl liked to buy the strangest things. No size of object was too great, nor item too weird. And Raven would be forced to help Maddie carry back things like giant frog statues to her room, which was only getting more and more cluttered with each trip to the thrift store.

“Maddie, you’re walking too fast! You have to slow down.” Raven held the feet of the massive clay frog in her hands, jugging it precariously. It was still a terribly long way up the staircase. One wrong move from Maddie and she’d go tumbling down.

“We’re almost there, Raven! The big bad frog is going to look so good in there!”

Maddie loved to give her purchases strange names. The last thing was a set of tiger bookends she’d called ‘the little mermaids’. She seemed to think it was pretty funny, but Maddie was always laughing to herself about something or another, so Raven just let her have her fun.

The frog was about to be huffed and puffed and blown down the stairs though if they weren’t careful. “Hold it down a little more,” Raven called to her. “Lower.”

“Low and high, time to fly!” Maddie hopped up another stair and Raven’s life flashed before her eyes. She clutched onto the frog for dear life.

“Maddie,” she snapped, stopping in her tracks, forcing her girlfriend to stop too. “You know how much I want to help you. But if you don’t slow down, I’m going to drop your frog.”

“Slow. Yes. Sloooooow.” Almost instantly, Maddie’s body shifted entirely to slow motion, practically dragging herself up each stair at a snail’s pace, so slow that Raven couldn’t help but laugh. Despite how weird she was, Maddie really was so good. Thoughtful and strange. Soar319: This shit i thought of while listening to shelter by porter robinson & madeon, both the original and cover by Juby and lemme tell you I probably cried a little inside. It’s sad but has a happy ending I promise bro I mean one is happier than the other but still HAPPY ENDING PROMISE

Lúcio and Gabby are happy together, planning to live together and all that cute stuff when the war is over but Gabe dies before that can become reality, leaving behind his mask with some black smoke billowing around it

Lúcio is heartbroken, and the team lets him off missions for a while. He takes the upmost care of the mask, keeping it safe inside a box in his room that he dusts regularly. He doesn’t listen to music and doesn’t go look at the stars until Hana forces him to, going up to the roof and feeling like the stars aren’t as bright as they were

He turns on crossfade, seeing no numbers inside the two icons cause nobody was around. But he blinks when a little one shows up, sitting up to see who was there. But nobody was around… the one remains, Lúcio guessing that maybe it was a bug in his tech.

He leaves early from dinner one night, sitting at the bench that Gabe always liked to play his guitar at. Pulls up crossfade, expecting to hear his songs, but instead a guitar melody flows out with the little one appearing again. Gabe is still there, he’s the one listening, he’s still watching over Lúcio.

In battle, Lúcio always sees the little one, encouraging him to go on. He swears that there’s black smoke around him whenever he’s on the brink of death, giving him just enough strength to amp it up or get to a health pack. At base, the little one is always there, Lúcio smiling whenever he feels something like talons brushing across his arm or something wisping right across his lips

When the Crisis ended and Overwatch was no longer needed, he sits alone at the hangar waiting for his plane to pick him up to return home to rio. The little one is still there, Lúcio softly telling Gabe that overwatch is over, he doesn’t need to worry about him, you can rest in peace. He closes his eyes, and when he opens them the one is gone now. Gabriel isn’t listening anymore. He turns off his music, wiping away a tear.

He boards the plane, flies out and reunites with family, laughing happily and hugging them, how he has missed them! His little siblings are so excited to hear his stories of kicking ass and see his kit, lucio taking out the earpiece and showing them his crossfade ability. He stops as he sees that it’s 6 people listening

His mother, father, older sis, two siblings… who was the sixth? It couldn’t be…

His little bro asks why Lúlu is crying, big bro what’s wrong?? Lúlu shakes his head, nothing’s wrong, he’s actually so happy… he lives with the extra number on his visor, smiling whenever he sees slightly darker shadows in his room or feels gabe’s presence around him. but one day the extra number is gone and doesn’t return. He guesses that Gabe finally moved to rest, and continues living

Lúlu goes into a full fledged panic as he realizes the mask was gone one day, scouring his bedroom top to bottom along with the entire house. His family doesn’t know anything, Lúlu devastated as he realizes the last big piece of Gabe is gone. He shakes his head and continues on, at least he still has the beanie and a little skull charm…

One day while he’s making lunch with his big sis for his siblings the door has a few knocks. His sis goes over to answer it, Lúlu curious as when she yells for him as the person knew him. He thinks that it’s probably Hana or Lena, washing his hands and walking over while fixing his dreads. He stops dead in his tracks as he sees who was at the doorway, eyes wide.

Gabriel, with the mask strapped to his side, was standing there clear as day, a smile on his face. He gives a little wave, Lúcio’s sis blinking as Lúlu barrels into the man sobbing giant tears, hugging tight as hell with Spanish and Portuguese sputtering out. Gabriel holds Lúlu still and plants a long overdue kiss, Lúlu crying giant happy tears, oh my god how are you alive, it’s been so long, come in come in!!

The smoke around the mask was still Gabe, and usually with injuries it takes maybe a week or two to patch up; with the damage Gabe hit, it took quite a while to properly regenerate a body back, but he finally did it, and is back. Along with lucio playing his healing music sped the process up a little, and now they can live together, cuddle and kisses and Gabe gets to meet lulu’s family ———– The other version is lulu dies, he went too far to try to protect the team and while they won the crucial mission, it came at the cost of lulu. Gabe is furious, sad, and guilty, he should’ve protected his frog better but he couldn’t. He takes a break from Overwatch, going on an alone vacation to have some quiet time away from the team.

He listens to lucios songs, sitting at the ilios lighthouse and dorado rooftops reliving the memories he had with lulu. The more memories and moments he recalls, the more he realizes that no, Lúlu would have smacked him and told him to believe, this ain’t the Gabe that laughs in the face of danger and powers right through every obstacle. Returns to overwatch and resumes missions.

A mission comes around, and Gabe dives to take a rocket blow to save McCree. He widens his eyes as he hears the faintest sounds of Rejuvenescência, no… it couldn’t be… The team widens their eyes as they hear it too, wounds slowly healing up. They turn their sights onto the objective, rushing in to capture it; they feel a speed boost, an all too familiar song right on the tips of their ears as they rush in, a victory on the mission.

Gabe knows that lulu is still there, fighting with them. He goes to lulu’s grave, sitting down and closing his eyes. He lets his soul appear, and hears a frog croaking; lulu’s soul, a frog that’s ribbit ribbit and singing, hopping left and right. He’s there, energetic as ever, smiling and laughing. How did he miss at laugh…

Whenever he’s alone he would close his eyes and there’s Lúlu, smiling and encouraging him. Gabe feels a little bit better, knowing that his audio medic is there, even if he can’t see him. Each mission the team always has one extra support, always seemingly giving just enough health for them to win, the faintest music playing in the background of their earpieces

Their final mission, Gabe crashing to the ground and struggling to get up; he could hear he yells of the other heroes, sounds of defeat coming closer and closer. What chance do they have? They can’t possibly win…

“You gotta believe! Keep your head up, Gabby!”

With sudden surge of energy, Gabe goes in, each hero rejuvenated and ready to win. The fight is long and difficult, but they all pull through, victory sweetly granted. As overwatch is disbanded, Amelie asks where Gabe is going to go. He doesn’t know, looking out to the cliffs of Gibraltar. Move back to LA? Travel around the world? Go with his old friends or go with his ex-talon buddies? He shrugs, deciding to stay at Gibraltar for a bit till he has decided.

It’s a bit lonely staying at the base alone, the rooms all empty and hardly any sound echoing through the hallways. He wonders if perhaps he should live a life of solitude, maybe being alone is the best course of action. He continues to stay in Gibraltar, till a sound echoes down the hall. It’s coming from lucios room. Music.

Gabe cautiously goes over and opens up the door, the room empty like every other room. But a phone was playing music, sitting in the center of the room. His phone. How did it get here…? Gabe picks it up, looking at the track it was playing. A playlist he doesn’t remember downloading… he goes to delete it, but then he sees the title

It’s from Lúlu. He looks at the songs once more, eight songs, all made by Lúlu. The seven first songs, the first letters… Eu te amo it spells out. Gabe looks at the last song, a jumble of numbers and letters. He plays it, and he hears a new song. He didn’t even realize he was crying, as he hears the faintest whispers of lulu singing, saving the playlist.

Gabe isn’t alone, he doesn’t need to live alone. Lúlu is always there, his sweet frog, his audio medic. He closes his eyes once more, and there’s lúlu’s soul again, hopping around and singing his heart out. Gabe sees Lúlu, and holds his own soul, the owl softly hooting. Live life, Gabby. The fighting is over, you can rest easy now. And Gabe finally decides where he was going to go. But wherever he goes, he finds comfort in knowing that he isn’t alone, Lúlu is there, always playing music and hopping around.

And when he finally dies, he can hear the music waiting for him, Lúlu smiling and laughing like always.
