Marry Me

Sapphia stormed into August’s room, visibly upset.

“This is horrible, just horrible!” She growled out, looking for comfort from her friend.

“Hm?” August, who had been stuck in a book, looked up to pay attention to her.

“Ask me what’s wrong!”

“Oh, something’s wrong? What’s going on?”

“They want me, to get married! They say it’s unbecoming of an heir to the headquarters like me to be unmarried! Not only that, but they made me wear this stupid thing!” She complained, taking off the frilly dress she had been wearing, comfortable in being in nothing but her pettipants and undershirt. “I mean who even wears that stuff? It’s so outdated!”

“So are their views.”

“I suppose that’s true,” Sapphia sighed. “It’s too bad I can’t marry…

“Hey! You should Marry me!” Her eyes filled with the scheming of a truly marvelous plan.

“What?”

“Think about it, I want nothing more to run away with one of the interns! And you’d want nothing more than one of the heroes in training to top you.”

“Hey!”

“What? It’s true! Anyways, if we married each other it would be perfect!”

August sighed, thinking about her idea. It was true that it would be a good proposal for both sides. However…

“What if someone finds out?”

“They won’t! We’ll act so in love, it’ll fool them all!”

“Alright, I��m in!”

“Yes! Now I’m going to go and talk to some of the interns, maybe sneak some food from the kitchen!”

Sapphia ran out, only to run right back in when she heard August call out “Wait, what about your dress?”

I also love very much Percy and Luna!!

When it comes to picking a fav I'm always indecisive because each media I like has me attaching to at least 3 of them (⁠●⁠_⁠_⁠●⁠) my top fav tho has to be Sapphia! loved her since the start she's just too iconic (and her backstory is actually so sad that's why I grew attached to her)

(and I'll add again that my user on here was sapphialuvr before I came back a year later and was mad indecisive between tiffaluvr or ryuuluvr but tiffa sounded better)

Nice question because there's some screens where they're together!

One of them is the one where Marla sneaks out with Sapphia but nobody (minus a few) knew it was her. So when Percy was on the tower, and she says "August says hi!", ofc he's confused

As for Luna (and Saph again) i was laughing SO HARD when she clashed at the wedding because her bestie had stolen her crush (which sounds like an average american rom-com), and when she was talking with Sapphia about this, girl had only one way to stop her:

3. Thoughts/Opinions on Nicolosi (negative/positive/neutral)

Definitely hated him at some point (or more than one) because of his behaviour at the party (?) (I forgot if it was a party that August organized but u get it), where Sapphia clearly acted out of impulse and then we all know what happened next.

Also in the backstory where he was super mean to her, ableist, hated her for being a lesbian and kept forcing himself to believe she was the villain!!! oh, and the desperate try to stop the wedding.

I have no idea if he's converting back to being good or something, since we can see him finally coming to his senses after the closet scene (percy in the closet and august confessing), I really hope tho!! would love to see a redemption arc

4. Any OCs/Theories/Headcanons

My biggest theory was the whole Lucas/Luna/Lucille thing (I had figured out Lucille was Lucas b4 the transition, and Luna was his sister). I had a whole document about it where I color picked stuff and helped with a few lines from diff chapters! Took it very seriously (⁠.⁠ ⁠❛⁠ ⁠ᴗ⁠ ⁠❛⁠.⁠) Canvas readers already knew, but for me (and anyone else) who started reading in 2022, clearly it was new stuff!! I remember sending the doc to a few friends and convincing them of the theory being real, it was fun ngl!!

Other than that, I don't have any particular headcanons, and no OCs (but would love to see if someone has any!)

The game has officially ended with whites resignation, I have lost after several queens have promoted on the enemy side and cleared the way for even more queens Some key takeaways, early queen trades made the board relatively safe as far as smothered checkmates go. The king just has too much motion to corner with non-queen pieces. Incidentally, this also makes utilizing the king a an offensive piece a fairly viable strategy, and without proper defensive positioning, the king can slip behind the back lines and wreak havoc, though I did risk being checkmated more than once that way.

Speaking of proper defensive positioning, my opponent Sapphia absolutely killed it with hers. This bubble was nigh impenetrable by any means, and served as a monument I could not tear down

On top of that, she activated her power pieces earlier and far more effectively, especially her dragons and unicorns, out maneuvering me at almost every turn with them. Her 4D intuition is significantly stronger than mine, which is perhaps not unsurprising because she has her own chess engine for 4D chess. Behold, the dreaded dragon chetto

The top hyperplane was nearly entirely wiped out during a long a vicious struggle for queen promotions. Being down key power pieces, I was unable to hold her off for long. My only saving grace was good offensive king strategies, until she moved her king in to defend, effectively shutting me down permanently Following that was a systematic and brutal elimination of all obstacles to further queening, eventually turning the game into a war of extermination, from which I had no chance but to surrender, or slowly and quietly go down in a prolonged struggle

All in all, fun game. Has some slow points, but picked back up during the queening race. Absolutely intimidating, and defense pays off a little better than offense, or at least ill-thought out offense like all of my strategies were. Next time we have a new game variant to try out.

Or we'll relax with some nice, simple, multiverse time travel chess

Venefica Hawke

The Champion of Darktown, the most powerful mage outside of Tevinter, Kirkwall’s Most Wanted Criminal, and, among the templars, the hushed whisper of the Red Death

In the Tower Age, the Chantry defined the crime of venefica as acts of magic performed as direct attacks against the authority of the Chantry - a mixture of apostacy, sedition, and heresy. When Malcolm Hawke held his firstborn child in his hands, he jokingly suggested to Leandra to name this child Venefica. Leandra quickly vetoed that and they settled on the name Elaine. The child showed her ability of magic for the first time three weeks after her fourth birthday - immediately so proficient at force magic that she unlocked the incredibly rare ability of hovering several meters high in the air above the ground. She did not know that no mage had been able to do this in several ages, but Malcolm did. If this was the moment he understood that his joke had been more of a prophecy, no one can tell. Learning about that joke at the age of 15, after her first, very successful attempts at blood magic, Venefica decided that it was indeed a fitting name.

Venefica grew tall, even for Fereldan standards, standing at 1.91 meters. The day her magic first manifested, the hair on the top of her head began losing colour, and no healer could ever explain why. Her magical prowess was uncanny. Whereas any form of blood magic usually attracts demons that want to take advantage of the user, Venefica’s willpower and magical strength made all but the oldest and strongest demons afraid of her. With most demons submitting to her or avoiding her entirely, she could easily perform blood magic on a level most doubted possible. Excelling at both the schools of Force and Blood Magic, she could easily fly into a battlefield and defeat a dozen combatants in a matter of seconds. Her combat presence was terrifying to anyone, whether they heard the stories about her or not. Ironically, this made most people outside of Kirkwall doubt her existence, since no one believed a mage so powerful to be more than a folk tale. Outside of combat, Venefica excelled at charisma, switching between diplomatic, sarcastic and aggressive voices as necessary to get what she wanted.

When the Blight spreading throughout Ferelden hit the town of Lothering, Venefica tried to flee the Darkspawn horde together with her family. However, during their escape together with the recent widow of a templar that Venefica immediately felt a strong animosity towards, an ogre attacked and killed Leandra. Now the oldest in the family, Venefica took the risk of accepting the help of a witch to escape in order to protect her two younger siblings. She decided on Kirkwall, the city she knew they still had family in, as a destination. Arriving in Kirkwall, she had no choice but to join a small band of smugglers. However, with her charisma and cool-headedness, she quickly gained Athenril’s favor, taking over command over larger and larger chunks of the rapidly growing network throughout Kirkwall’s underworld until Venefica and not Athenril stood as the leader of the organisation. Eliminating the entirety of the Carta’s leadership one night after they had continually sent more and more assassins after her, Venefica rose to become the undisputed queen of thieves in Kirkwall, swearing them in for a code of ethics to only steal from the nobles in the High Town. Using the vast fortune this provided to her, Venefica, with her sister Bethany as second in command, began fashioning those parts of Kirkwall’s criminal underground that she hadn’t destroyed completely into a powerful mage resistance network. The only smuggling the thugs formerly under Athenril’s command now engaged in was smuggling mages out of Kirkwall’s Circle of Magi.

It didn’t take long until the nobility and templars noticed what was happening. Guard Captain Aveline send guardsmen to arrest Venefica twice, both times having them return to her humiliated and defeated, with Venefica’s message that she wouldn’t hesitate to kill them if they returned a third time. Aveline then mobilized a hundred guardsmen, almost a quarter of the force, towards Venefica’s base of operations in Darktown, only to have but a third of them, including Aveline, manage to escape the subsequent battle with their lives. Unfazed by being the public enemy number one, Venefica then strolled into the Viscount’s Keep, kicked down the door to his offices and informed him not to mess with her again.

This de-facto truce lasted until early summer of 9:33, when assassins on the orders of Knight-Commander Meredith assassinated the Viscount because she hated his leniency towards Venefica, made it look like Venefica’s doing, and placed Kirkwall under Templar martial law. Tensions build quickly until Meredith began hungering out Lowtown and Darktown in an attempt to make them surrender Venefica. As they refused to do so, Meredith send a large contingent of templars into Darktown with publicly announced orders to kill its population until Venefica showed herself. Venefica then led her small fighting force of mages and assassins against the templars that outnumbered them. She won this fight in addition to driving off the Orlesian mercenary ships that had shut down the harbor, letting grain flow back into Lowtown and Darktown. Her unwavering willigness to help the downtrodden when they asked her, the fact that she redistributed ressources from the High Town to Darktown and her aversion of that potential massacre earned her the veneration of its inhabitants as well as the moniker “Champion of Darktown.” Meredith, in the meantime, had trouble keeping morale up among the templars, as many quit over stories how “The Red Death” had made the hearts of dozen upon dozens of their comrades simply stop as if it was nothing.

Venefica is a polyamorous lesbian. She met a young elven woman named Merrill when fulfilling her promise to the witch that saved her and her siblings. Venefica began admiring Merrill for her positive stance on magic, and, once Merrill opened up to her, even more for her unwavering determination to restore her people’s culture. Venefica began unequivocally and fully supporting Merrill in that quest, doing everything within her vast power to help Merrill when Merrill asked her for it. Sooner than later, they confessed romantic feelings for each other.

Isabela and Hawke started out as friends with benefits, but Hawke began catching feelings for that woman whose highest respect was towards the autonomy of every individual, and Isabela slowly began realizing her tender feelings for Hawke and Merrill equally, and Merrill herself began admiring Isabela for her kindness and constant support. It took them a while to realize and vocalize that they held romantic feelings as three, and they formed an open polyamorous triad. After the battle to end the siege of the harbor, Venefica gifted Isabela one of the Orlesian ships she had cleared out in the fight.

If you want to know how the conflict in Kirkwall resolves in 9:34, the Free Marches storyline of my AU begins in Chapter 15 of my yet to be finished longfic :D I will probably release the chapter where they enter the Fade sometime next week.

Ok so I dont really use Webtoon because Im not much a comic read/reading in general. So what up with High Class Homos? Is it like the High Gardian Spice of Webtoon?(Ie: has a lot of LGBTQ+ representation but 1.) has horrible story telling or 2.) doesn't represent the LGBTQ+ comunity respectivly)-C

tldr: it’s horribly racist and stereotypical and it is basically a way to lure queer people even further into shitty stereotypes. stop praising it for being like progressive or whatever the fuck it’s supposed to be

okay where do I start. basically I may not be allowed to say most of this stuff since it was so bad that I stopped reading it around like. episode 15/16? inform me if I need to change anything

okay so. I don’t remember anyone’s names except for augustus and sapphia so I’ll nickname the other important characters as knight [mlm love interest], maid 1 [first wlw love interest], and maid 2 [second wlw love interest, one with the lighter hair]

first of all: the fucking RACISM oh my god.

so basically here’s the main cast okay? all of them are white. the same exact skin tone [except for maid 1 who’s tanner but white]. except for knight, who’s black.

repeatedly throughout the panels, knight’s skin tone is always saturating and lightening and usually never stays a darker tone? which is? very blatant whitewashing??? dude just pick a fucking tone and stop being weird

and then. god okay. so the main “character trait” of knight is that he’s stupid. he’s described as being like teehee I’m so ditzy and gay and stupid and there’s a scene where I have no idea what gay means or what it is!!!!! which is fucking awful and racist already. and I do understand that in medieval times it wasn’t uncommon to be illiterate but every other person in the cast can read and write and yet the knight’s ENTIRE plotline is having no idea how to read or write which. if you’re following that’s just. literally why the fuck are you emphasizing that the ONLY black character’s stupid and illiterate. literally what the fuck is wrong with you.

second: the horrible stereotyping and further fetishization + demonization of orientations. + bad trans rep

alongside that, every single character except for the transhet character and the trademark #”evil nasty cishet” character are gay or lesbian. unless something was stated that I missed in the more recent episode, a webtoon that’s praised for having amazing “””lgbtq+ themes””” only has gay and lesbian, not??? arospec or multiro or any other romantic orientations????? not to mention that they are pretending aspec people are nonexistent and everyone is definitely allosexual without a fault. but the thing is. this tiny representation of a huge community is. so. just absolutely awful.

prince augustus and knight are both represented by being uwu soft boys because they’re gay and always being nervous oh no!!! what if he thinks I’m weird >~< type of characters. honestly just say you fetishize gay men to be crammed into your soft owo yaoi boxes and get the fuck out of here.

princess sapphia and the maids are either fetishized or demonized as well. princess sapphia plays into the disgusting stereotype than lesbians are furious, violent monsters due to her constantly destroying things and yelling at everyone and generally being a huge asshole. maid 1 isn’t as bad and has a grasp on sense but she’s still incredibly rude. then maid 2 is forced to be like a soft cute lesbian who’s clueless to the fact that maid 1 loves her!!! she’s so cute and sweet and has no idea she’s in love with the lesbeans!!!! god grow up is it not hard to treat lesbians like real people.

and oooh yay they’re pretending [identity] doesn’t exist again! assuming from webtoon’s ads spoiling everything, there was a heated love triangle between the maid characters and the princess oh no!!!! as someone who’s polyam I think I’m gonna lose my mind if media keeps mislabeling weird love corners as love triangles and ignoring the fact polyam people. exist?? like it’s not weird for three or more people to enter a relationship????

with that said, every single mlm buildup scene is soft and >w< and completely non-sexual while there’s a fucking scene where maid 1 walks in on sapphia with only a bra on and she freaks out because OMG!!!! with that being the only chemistry at all between them.

plus that. from what I read of course the author mainly only focused on the mlm relationship and only made sexual/weird jokes about the wlw relationship as it was pushed aside. at least make the attention equal if you’re gonna ONLY make cis gay and lesbian characters.

finally the trans character has fucked up rep. fortunately they aren’t pulling the sad depressing #brocken💔 “I don’t fit in this body……….” trope or having every character misgender them repeatedly until they’re “””fixed””” but instead he mysteriously says “once upon a time I wasn’t called lucas….!” and then it’s. never mentioned ever again. hey, if you’re gonna make an amazing webtoon with fantastic queer rep maybe you shouldn’t vague the entire trans umbrella and never talk about it again

and it’s not super related but they’re making the only cishet character portrayed as some sort of evil antagonistic person which. is a shitty thing to do because it shows that in media with good queer rep there’ll never be a cishetallo character who isn’t repetitively seen to be some sort of monster

No because Lucas is 100% marlas ex.

I wouldn't have noticed it, but I decided to re read the entire series, and reading all of the chapters back to back instead of periodically, when they were released, made me see things that I wouldn't have seen before.

I think the author was trying to trick us into thinking that the witch was marlas ex, having the same eye and hair color. There is even a bit more basis behind it because august mentions her name and it starts lu, and one time Odette mentions marlas ex by name, but Marla cut her off, but we could still see lu. And august met the witch when traveling bards were at the castle, and marlas ex was the castle bard.

But thats the only evidence behind it, and there are still major differences between what we've seen of marlas ex and the witch. They have different skin tones, their eye shapes are slightly different and the witch have very prominent bottom lashes. Not to mention that the witch is wanted in 27 kingdoms, and honestly, I don't think that she'd be able to do that in less than a year.

Lucas on the other hand, has a bunch of things lining up for him. When percy goes to him for relationship advice, he mentions that he "wasn't always called lucas" which heavily implies that he's trans, but also, in that chapter he mentions that he likes a woman, not women, one woman, singular. Later at the ball, we see him sulking with Odette as Marla and Sapphia dance, which heavily implies that the woman he loves I'd Marla, because we know from a few chapters prior that he barely knows Sapphia. Not to mention that percy mentions that Lucas is a really good musician at the picnic, and marlas ex was a bard. As well as their eye shape and color are the same, as well as their skin tone.

And my final peace of evidence is that the witch describes herself as a vigilante when she breaks into Sapphias room, why would a vigilante kill an innocent commonor? Marla said that her ex wasn't happy when she left, and I think that's because she wasn't a she, he was a he, and like, I've been there, I wouldn't be happy if I was stuck as a girl with no way to came it either.

Thus my thoery is that marlas ex (lucas) left, not to go home necessarily, but to find the witch, who used magic to turn his body into one that matched his brian. And either not knowing what to do, or literally having no choice, because how else would you explain it, faked being dead, and that the witch killed 'her', the witch being fine with being wanted for the murder, and she was already wanted as it was. Then, Lucas, not wanting to live without Marla, as well as to not break his promise, went back to the castle and became a knight. But he didn't tell Marla because he feels guilty for leaving her, and he's afraid that she won't love him because he's not a girl and/or she won't understand the whole trans thing, and think it's weird.

Also, I don't know if Odette specifically knows that lucas is marlas ex, but she definitely knows that lucas likes Marla. I'm leaning towards her not knowing about being marlas ex, because I don't think she'd be super supportive of marlas whole vengeance thing she go going on if she knew that the witch didn't kill him, but there is a small chance.
