Like we've got the katana and sumo guys but we don't get a fucking explanation on the Gojo situation?!! Like we know that bro is dead currently in the manga (I STILL HAVE A TINY BIT OF HOPE) and nobody fucking grieves and don't care about him at all and shit, they literally mentioned him and grieved more for him when he was stuck in a goddamn box but now that he's six feet under nobody NOT EVEN YUTA OR YUJI GIVE A FLYING FUCK?! and the ONE time he is mentioned by kusakabe (dont even get me started on this dude) HE BLAMES HIM FOR EVERYTHING?!! Jjk theories / opinions / thoughts part 3 uwu (they are becoming more stupid and less coherent, let's go)

-Gege began the rumor about sukuna drinking his own milk. It is TOO MUCH OF SOMETHING GEGE WOULD SAY I cannot be convinced otherwise

-Gojo's twink death happened in the prison realm

-kenjaku was involved in founding the star religious group. He's already been making pacts with sorcerers for a thousand years, so putting him in the Nara era isn't a stretch. We already know he made several attempts to interrupt the star plasma vessels. (yes I blame him for every thing ever. His fault. And I think he'd rather watch things crumble than do the work directly bc then it's like a game, unexpected things happen and it's more interesting. Bro is always playing games even with curses smh)

-Hakari would have started a fight club to fund Kirara's transition. Idk if the higher ups would have had issues w trans students or just with Hakari's unconventional domain and methods (not hesitating to lose a foot bc he'll get it back, for example), but Gojo called them a lot of variations of conservative idiots so it seems likely I think. And they left the school before she even came out, bc Panda didn't know.

-kinda unfair that Yuta gets to transfer into Gojo with his best outfit on, he didn't have to dress like Edward Cullen for years to get there (pls don't get offended I swear to God it's a joke but also I do kinda feel this way lmaoooo)

-how the fuck do nanako and mimiko's technique work? They're twins right? I get the feeling like Mimiko can't use one on her own, but she likes to threaten people with her doll and Nanako can hang people with it. I rly wish we got to see them more (I want to believe they survived sukuna bc Geto would have prepared those girls to stay safe, maybe there's just a time lag or something pls)

IN THE AIRPORT SCENE there's even Toji but those girls are not there so that gives me hope I kajahxkakdn (I get that maybe it's Gojo's mindscape but how would he have known that Haibara showed up to Nanami? It's not just his imagination imo, those girls are alive, I need them to be.)

-I miss rainbow dragonnnnnnnn I'm so sad and still mad at toji (despite my theory that he lost himself bc the worm is banana fish I'm just bitter lmao)

-I'm so fucking sad that we didn't get to see Hanami's domain. So I made one up myself but I don't have a name for itnkajsxjskmax I just think Hanami needed a redemption arc like Choso got :(((

-the other dubs are so fkn good that when I'm tired of it I'll just play that shit in another language. The first minute of the series in French tho made me laugh so hard I had to change it. But the exchange event in German was so good

-remember when Megumi brought out Max Elephant against Noritoshi Kamo? It's like. He knew that the blood manipulation weakness was water. Maybe that's a benefit of growing up in one of the 3 major clans.

-I feel like no one ever talks about how Megumi lost Orochi AND one of the demon dogs that was with him since he was a kid when he also watched Sukuna rip out Yuuji's heart. Like we all talk about how he gets more upset over losing animals than people but all 3 of those events at once... I was rly sad at first bc I wanted to see the snake more too.

-Megumi's head bleeding in every fight for most of the anime is meant to represent that his weakness is in his head.

-when it's raining, that shows that the characters are up against something bigger than they are prepared for. (I made a whole list of every use of water and its symbolism but God I feel insane)

-the shibuya arc hurts less to watch after the first 5 times (I think? I'm on My 9th watch and I think 2 1/2 read. It's hard to keep track at this point)

-I want to see the extended mahoraga vs sukuna fight in theaters I'm so jealous oh god

-I cannot be convinced that a single character in this show is heterosexual. Everyone is gay except for hakari ig but he's an ally so

-I think that Miguel and Larue might be together but idk

-kinda weird that no one mentioned nanako or mimiko (like how no one mentioned todo and he was fiiiiiine I knew he was having fun in the culling game the whole time)

i think she is a little self conscious at times, easily affected by things going on in her life, definitely tries to bite off more than she can chew, and she’s an anxious avoidant until she can’t take it anymore and becomes overtly confrontational instead alskdjdh i think this can be seen in the way she confesses to gojo, in her interactions w kai, and then also her turning down the newsletter job before she realized it was actually a good opportunity, etc etc. when i write for her, i kinda wanna give the vibe of tired college student that has a lot going on in her head n in her heart, but she’s slowly starting to learn to live again and is looking forward to life after college (aka me all of my senior year loool) i think she has a pretty neutral personality overall :0

omg i haven’t written much for ihm reader yet but i already ADORE her so so so much based on what i’ve got planned for the series, and i think i understand her the most of the oc’s i’ve made. she is someone that gets crazy tunnel vision, can only really focus on one thing at a time, often neglects her other responsibilities if it means getting The Main One done, she is hella jaded because of all the financial stress, work stress and caretaking stress which means she doesn’t have much of a filter anymore, she’s very cynical and pessimistic and easily irritated and prideful BUT…..deep down she’s a huge softie and is actually very self aware of her flaws n just really wants to get better but she just can’t find a moment to breathe…im gonna enjoy writing for her bc i think she’ll come off irrational and a bit over the top at times, but in those soft moments, she’ll be very down to earth :)

aww i haven’t had too much written for ial reader yet, but in my head i picture her as a veeeery soft spoken, sweet natured woman in her older age (she’s engaged to nanami, who i imagine has mellowed her out in comparison to when she dated bad boy choso lol), idk i think she’s kind of basic 😭 not that that’s a bad thing at all, i kinda wanted that dynamic of crazy rock star lifestyle choso mixed w simple lifestyle reader (for when they meet again later in life). when she was younger, she was highly impressionable, often thought she was more mature than she actually was, n loves veeeerryy deeply, so much so to where old scars hurt even after years and years. i think she always tries to do the right thing, but bc of her conflicting emotions, she has the capacity to cause a lot of hurt

AHH idk this is just the vibe i get from them or try to encapsulate while i write them, and i also totally think readers can have diff interpretations of them than me and still be accurate about it (idk as the author i don’t feel like i even know everything ab my own stories sldkdjdh at times i feel some of my readers know more than me haha)

i think kickoff reader is the most confusing in my head, but i like it that way because i suppose she’s the youngest and she’s in college and it makes sense for her since she’s figuring herself out

i definitely do see myself in all of them!! i have certain attributes i share n some that i don’t. for example i don’t think i’m as brave as kickoff reader (to pursue passions or confess to a boy so brazenly or slap tf outta someone at a bar LOL) and i don’t think i’m as crass or no-filter as ihm reader for example, but i definitely relate to certain aspects like the tunnel vision, anxious avoidance, and stuff like that!! but i still try to make them their own characters i suppose, but it really depends on how i want their personalities to mesh w the love interest as well

SHE IS THE WORLD. Ochaco they could never make me hate you, I’m an Ochaco defender for life because I don’t care what anyone says, she is an incredibly well-written and fleshed out character and she is not just ‘In love with Izuku’ and I’m saying that as someone who ships Izuocha

Most of my love for her comes from my headcanons because we simply don’t get enough of her in canon. But she reminds me a lot of my best friend which probably plays a role in my adoration of her and everything she does.

In such a short amount of time this baby stole my heart. I’ve never fallen in love with a character in such a little amount of content. But I relate to him immensely and he deserves so much better than what he got.

okay, so just yapping and sharing lots of notes & minor spoilers & extreme details of what i have planned/going on for balancing act (which WILL see an update this month, trust 🤞🏻)

what's fun about balancing act is that we get to see my take on gojo's character; i've received comments and asks saying how they like how i've written not just gojo, but all the in-verse characters we have & i'm excited to expand more on gojo's friendships with everyone around him bc as a fanfic writer, it's a fun challenge to see how in character we can get these people when they're thrown into a wildly different universe.

so, talking abt "my take" on gojo's character: he's a goofy guy. he's cocky; he's a flirt. he knows he's Got It All, and he definitely drives a fancy sports car w a custom license plate that reads SIXEYES (bc this is a finance bro au, everyone claims he must have six eyes w the way he never seems to watch the markets but knows exactly when and what to go all in with). BUT !!! i love balancing act bc gojo is not reduced to "cocky womanizer and then u 2 fuck despite claiming to not like him" we get to see gojo's character shine through in his actions, not only in how he treats reader but also in how he interacts with all the characters. he's silly, he plays pranks, he sometimes (almost always) is annoying, but the things he does for them is always stemming from genuine kindness 🥹 like, i have this thought (my finance girlies will understand what i mean/it'll be explained in the fic) that yuuji is interning at the firm for a summer but he's from a non-target school & doesn't come from the same circles as most of the people in finance; knowing that yuuji feels a bit alienated from his peers, gojo goes out of his way to make dorky company merch and requires that all interns wear it & OF COURSE, it's one of those vests with the firm's name monogrammed on it & it's so pretentious but it's a finance bro right of passage and he did this so yuuji would have that status symbol but he also didn't want to single him out. things like that 🥹 he's thoughtful and we need to talk abt it more and we will explore this more within the fic!!!!

and balancing act is so special to me because it's all about loving someone so much that the mundanity of life suddenly seems exciting; suddenly, the boring, not so glamorous parts of life are an opportunity to showcase how much you love someone. MINOR SPOILER, but a scene that's so sweet and exemplifies this is the fact that you live in a luxury apartment building. authorizing/registering a specific vehicle to your apartment's parking services is a pain in the ass, and it's even more annoying to take off a car from the car registry list. that's why any past boyfriends, u rarely let them into ur apartment (bc it's ur safe space, where u can just be urself entirely) and the ones who do make it to ur apartment always use guest parking, which has a time limit. we, in typical romcom fashion, get the adorable "you're sick and he takes care of you" trope!!! so you have a bad flu and gojo drives you to ur apartment and takes care of you, but he's not registered as an authorized vehicle so he has to go to guest parking. well, he spends days with you while u recover, and he sees all the parking fines on his windshield. it's $100 per every hour he goes over the time limit. it's been days. your doorman is a sweet man who is always looking out for u and never likes any of the boys u take home, and he beefs with gojo (for comedic purposes, i promise. it's a fun dynamic) and gojo knows it's the doorman who reported him to parking services. gojo ofc is returning to the apartment building, holding the stack of tickets in one hand (using the same hand to wave cheekily at the doorman), and goes back in ur apartment to show u all the tickets.

he doesn't hold it against u though. what he says is, "your doorman hates my guts." all pouty and whiny. you tell him that the doorman hates the guts of all the boys u bring back & that he shouldn't feel too special, and that this is his way of saying gojo's overstaying his welcome, which u find hilarious. and gojo is like "well, he's saying you're only worth $100 an hour." blah blah blah, BUT !! circling back to the mundanity of life and how it serves as an opportunity to show our love for someone:

you go through the trouble of registering gojo's vehicle under ur apartment. even though u keep saying gojo is annoying and a pain in the ass and that this fascination he has with u will eventually fade, even though u claim there's a time limit to his affections and you KNOW how much of a hassle it is to unregister his vehicle if things do go south for y'all... you still go through the trouble of registering his vehicle, a sign that you like him. a sign that you're hoping things will be permanent.

and that's basically a major point of the fic!!! that our actions, our silly, simple, boring actions, can all have special meanings 🥹 if you look for it, you'll see that love really is anywhere

Hiii love! Just here to share some words of wisdom (or not, maybe it's just yapping, I'd like to think that my years on this earth has added some wisdom to this little brain of mine though LOL). If there's one thing I've learned as a creative soul, it's that life is too damned short to create art you don't want to create. If there are stories you're not vibing with that you previously thought you were going to want to write, then either entirely scrap them or put them on the backburner. Don't bend over backwards to please everyone, at the end of the day you're never going to please absolutely everyone and you're just going to burn yourself out. Write what you want to write, focus on the things that inspire you and feels like fun right now. Who knows? Maybe the inspiration for these other stories will come back and bite you at a later point too! But for now, do yourself the favour of writing what YOU want to write!! I can assure you that most people here will read whatever you write, and our work tends to be the best when it's something we're genuinely passionate about (speaking from experience here). I dabble with this thought process on a daily basis (lots of insecurities) in regards to one of my uhh let's just say "freelance" jobs and I've learned time and time again that people are there for me and not necessarily what I do. And what I do tends to be a lot better when I actually enjoy it! I obviously cannot tell you what to do and that's the wonderful thing about humans, we have free will! But please give yourself the grace to listen to what you want and I promise you all of us will follow right along with you (and those who cause a stink about it you don't really want around in the first place, I promise).<333 People are here because they like what YOU write, what YOUR brain comes up with and YOUR creative direction. If you want to move on to new stories and new characters, then you do that. gege i need you to put the complexity ball down bc it's effecting your consistency.

so i'm on my bullshit as always thinking about the death paintings brothers, as you do. and since i recently rewatched the brother fight in s1 i'm like newly haunted by inconsistencies. first it's said that only 1-3 of the brothers are considered special grade but then when mahito asks why the society didn't just destroy the brothers kenjaku says it's because they were too strong, like... ALL of them. because if the others are weaker they could've just destroyed those ones and sealed the other 3. even if say, they're grade one and that's still too strong like... by the modern era there are 4-5 special grade sorcerers before the series even truly starts. surely yuki or gojo's powers would've been able to easily take out brothers 4-9 if that's the cut off point. but they didn't so either they're all lazy (truly possible) or they couldn't.

the wiki also says that all fully incarnated death paintings are considered special grade (but won't cite a fucking source for that 🔫). so like.... they're all just fucking special grade then and Choso, Eso and Kechizu were the most special-iest grade. which then also makes it like..... so then HOW are we saying they're in the same category as the disaster curses, Gojo, Geto, Yuki, Sukuna etc and they get fly swatted so fucking easily by Yuji and Nobara? like i love Yuji and Nobara but.... the math...... doesn't math..... Choso almost killed Yuji. The only reason he didn't is because he went nuts before he could finish the job. Like dude... what's the point of making them because "you wanted to write sibling relationships" and then IMMEDIATELY killing them and in doing so making special grade look like it's taking a dip in meaning?

and if all the forms the brothers take are arbitrary bc they never had a fully developed body like other incarnated objects then why does only Choso look super normal? Like way to signal who's gonna be part of the plot for more than 5 chapters.

my other beef is that at the start he says they had no real memory of their mother and their strength didn't come from her grudge at all. also that they'd existed in the storage shed with only the barest concept of each other's presence and then later we see a panel of them all literally having a fucking conversation. also why didn't Eso and Kechizu have freak outs like Choso??????

like genuinely i think he just got so in his head for half of this shit that he missed a lot of contradictions and plotholes. and the cursed womb/death painting plotlines is one of the places where it's clearest he'd had an idea he'd liked okay but as thing progressed could devote no time to at all. hence shit like the other brothers NEVER being incarnated and Choso dying so we never have to confront what his existence means or the thematic and whatever shit around him. especially since later there's all the talk of removing the incarnated sorcerers from their host bodies which would've likely also applied to the death paintings but with them it's an even MORE fraught conversation considering their origin, how the society treated them and how they're LITERALLY YUJI'S SIBLINGS.

Now that the translations are out I gotta say that IF this is trully how it ends for him, I'm disappointed. Like I was never under the illusion that Gojo would've survived till the end of the manga but this just feels so... off? So underwhelming, almost? Like, it feels incomplete and granted, Gege has killed characters that, arguably, weren't finished with their arcs (Nobara, Nanami) before but even if we take that into consideration this one still feels so wrong to me.

Obviously I wanted Gojo to win and obviously everyone knew that he wasn't going to (historically, he has always lost something so important whenever he 'wins' a battle that it renders his victory almost meaningless) but killing him off screen, even with all of the explanations, when he was straight up folding Sukuna's shit for like 10 chapters straight just feels cheap and Sukuna's victory actually feels undeserved to me bc of it.

He was on the defence most of the fight. He pulled out every single thing he could from Megumi's CT and STILL got his ass handed to him multiple times. Im gonna be real, despite me making fun of his ✨fraud-core✨ chapters, I like Sukuna. I like him a lot as a character and as an antagonist and so I want to see his victory actually mean something, or be hard won since this was a fight between THE pillars of the jujutsu world. Perhaps if he killed Gojo with his own CT it would have felt more right ? Maybe..

Besides all of that, what happens now? What could possibly be done against Sukuna now that The Strongest is out of the picture? Kashimo, and let it be known that i love him dearly, will be folded in probably 2 chapters max. Yuta (<3), Yuuji, Maki, Hakari and his domain will not be enough.

Like sometimes I feel like people just either forget or don't grasp the sheer depth of the power gap between Gojo and EVERYONE else. It's just so insanely large that after defeating him, Sukuna is trully unstoppable. And if Gege pulls some shit and has him defeated regardless, then that will just be bad writing and Gege, for all I curse him on the daily, isn't a bad writer.

Truth be told, whenever a chapter ended before, I wasn't all that scared that Gojo was done for solely because the manga would have ended. Like, in universe, if Gojo goes down then it's a wrap for everyone else pretty much immediately (like mans got sealed and not even 10minutes later everything went to hell in that godforsaken train station) so now that this has happened I trully wonder where this will go from here?

okay i have never mentioned this before outside of odd discord messages with oomf, but i've been writing this multi chapter for the past month-ish w the specific intent of having something to feed itafushi nation while im busy at uni and i'll just have to post chapters every week but Basically: college au, megumi's a bassist in a band, yuuji's a college radio dj. pretty megumi-centric but still itafushi, healing journey, central conflicts about love, abandonment, and family. family dynamics w satosugu, megumi, tsumiki, the hasaba twins, and shoko. sides of shokohime, nobamaki, and inuokko. a large dose of angst with a healing ending :D i love it very much & im abt 6 chapters in but i hadn't mentioned it bc i won't be posting anything related to it until late august/early september (man its been so hard keeping it a secret)

this came to me as a joke but i actually think its so fun and i cant wait to write it. i write so many serious and heavy things, so i think its probably good for me to right something purely for the sake of humor and entertainment. i only came up with it last night, but this is what i have so far kenjaku is a genderfluid baddie neuroscience student that's just a liiiiittle too interested in brain surgery. sukuna is the campus drug dealer. no one knows what his major is because he never studies or goes to class, but somehow aces all his tests. yorozu is sukuna's jealous ex. ofc characters like uraume, angel, kashimo, etc. possible tengen appearance. and cameos from modern sorcerers (gojo appearance? 🧐) i dont have a plot yet but kenjaku and sukuna toxic couple endgame 🤞

Like am i missing something? Bc the last time I checked it was in kenny's hands in Shibuya- and I know neither noritoshi nor tsukomo managed to snatch it back. I know i haven't been going that closely these past few arcs but i feel like i would've noticed if they retrieved it??? I just hate that this happened off screen 😑

They've been fighting for a month (3 YEARS) and it only took 3 minutes to unseal him?!?

Where's the pizzazz, the drama? At least we should've got a cool explanation on how Angel's technique works, man idk. All that buildup for nothing, it's so lackluster 😒

He was locked away in a space with no concept of time, completely isolated and surrounded by cursed energy- and he came back normal? 🙁

Boooo- i wanted him to be feral or a little cursed himself like give us something- I want to see visible signs of the toll it took on him. Though maybe his true state will make itself evident later.

I understand why he's maintaining his composure with kenjaku- man thought about his ex for 30 seconds and was locked away with swiftness- but towards megumi? His younger brother-more-than-son but still someone he mentored and spent a lot of time with.

It's implied that sorcerers/ curses can probably see the extra eyes or mouth of Sukuna but the marks are likey only distinguishable for us readers. So Gojo must've sensed Sukuna's rank vibes immediately and went on the offensive.

... Hmmm 🤔 since he didn't even want to engage with him yet i suppose he's just being cautious. Maybe he's already accepted that Megumi may be collateral to the bigger picture... though that's so cold though 😥

I'm still holding out hope that he's just compartmentalizing very well and we'll see the cracks of his true mental state soon 🤞🏿
