To be petty on this first day of pride… all those buddie shippers who were so outraged that BuckTommy got more fics more quickly than a canon queer couple (HenRen) are just as upset now that a fanon queer ship is trending over that same canon queer couple ( HenRen), right?

I'm with you on the whole weirdness thing. I'm so tired of having to censor myself to not bring "shame" on everyone who ships it.
Dw anon ur safe here. Do whatever you want forever. If both sides are going to be disappointed no matter what we do, we might as well have fun, eh?
There are things and topics I don’t talk about on my page - not because I don’t want to, or I think they’re shameful, or that I’m worried it’ll reflect badly on others. There are other topics I have no particular interest in, but I don’t think they need to be as heavily censored as they are. The reason I don’t share or interact with them is because it simply isn’t safe to. Because everyone’s idea of what is weird or inappropriate is different. And it’s become normalized that if you break these unwritten rules that you’re just supposed to know and agree with - despite them never being clearly defined - then you’re asking for a witchunt. And it’s your own fault for getting hurt because you stepped out of line. Because you didn’t just “behave”.
Antis think us shipping rg at all makes us -insert buzzwords here-. Then we turn around and people within our own walls say “so long as you don’t talk about this or make the characters do that, then you’re good”. For the most part, we know the antis will never accept us, which is manageable for some of us. It’s predictable. The problem truly lies in how much we have to walk on eggshells within our own spaces for risk of people who are supposed to be in our corner teaming up with the bullies on the outside. Because then nowhere is safe for us. That’s the reason so many people left. The reason so many people don’t engage. And it doesn’t foster creativity, it stifles it. It only fosters restriction and fear instead.
This isn’t to say that all these hidden rg shippers are all secretly into the nastiest stuff imaginable. I can confidently say that many of us are against or neutral about the topics, and many others - even the ones you think never would, even the ones that have made public attacks against that very content - are interested in it. Have had discussions, written stories or aus, or drawn things of that nature or anything in between… the only reason no one sees it or associates it with the ship and this community is because it only happens behind closed doors. Where it’s safe. Where there isn’t risk of bad actors or antis breaking in, taking screenshots, and sharing it around to induce harassment campaigns.
I use a lot of buzzwords myself when I talk about The Discourse (which I hope to stop making posts about after this ask because I promised this space would stay relatively free of it). But I am truly just repeating what I’ve researched of these phenomena from a bird’s eye view. There is significant overlap in online fandoms - from tv shows to celebrity stan culture - and systems of abuse. There’s overlap with violent political movements, co-opting of social justice tools that were never supposed to be used against each other for this, and even studies showing that the beliefs within these circles have significant overlap with cult tactics. Especially behavioural control and ostracization from the community of anyone that challenges the norm.
All of this is just to say: engage with fandom how you want to. Be kind to each other. Curate your spaces against content you don’t like without trying to control how others behave. Without harassing people. Find like minded people that are safe to share the things you want to talk about with, and share whatever you want or feel safe enough to publicly. The people who don’t respect us, who are always watching and waiting for us to slip up so they can attack, will never be satisfied. The goalpost will always be moving, and respectability politics - this oppressive belief that if we just behave we’ll be safe - makes us anything but.

Something I’ve noticed about a lot of Rhaenyra stans (that is so aggravating) is they are always talking about they don’t want Rhaenyra to be "whitewashed" but when you bring up the darker things she’s done/will do (calling for her younger brother to be “sharply questioned,” ordering Ser Vaemond’s head to be chopped off and then feeding him to Syrax, never punishing her husband for ordering Blood and Cheese (and I wouldn’t be surprised if in the show they have her order Blood and Cheese), ordering the death of Nettles for having a romantic/sexual relationship with her husband and yet not extending those orders to her husband, and her blatant racism towards Nettles) suddenly Fire & Blood is just a misogynistic book meant to paint Rhaenyra(and Daemon) in a bad light.
I wonder who’s going to tell them they can’t have their cake and eat it too 🫠
Moving the goalposts is their favorite pastime 😗
Tumblr media
One moment Fire & Blood is the most reliable source when it talks about how the realm thought a seven-year-old Rhaenyra was a darling(albeit spoiled) child and how romantic it is that Daemon crept on her at fourteen (cause that’s the evidence they use to support him luving her so very much even though he left the capital when she was a child because he got butthurt over her being made heir, but he realized that he could still be close to the throne if he seduced her and forced his brother to hand her over to him🙃) which is still underage by Westeros standards. The next it’s not to be trusted because the evil men have it out for my Valyrian queen.
I suppose for some it is easier to believe a white woman, who is fine with killing her own flesh and blood, innocent babies(I love Daemon, but a son for a son should’ve meant going after Daeron or Aemond, but they weren’t easy targets), is a complete and total innocent victim 100% of the time😗
I’ve never ever heard of a white woman using her privilege to try and commit a hate crime against a Black woman. Like ever. Especially not a white woman who comes from a racist family who’s own grandmother mistook a Black man for a demon because of his skin tone. It just can’t be true 🙃
She was just stressed. You know how that goes cause we've all wanted to commit racially motivated murder when we are stressed ☺️
They are happy with the show painting her in the best light possible and will even cheer on the show doing away with book canon(see how much they celebrated Laena being “unloved” by Daemon) that they claim to love so much if it makes queenie look good🤷🏽‍♀️

@starxblossom - entirely overdue, thank you for your patience
Alright below the cut is literally just me responding to some fic feedback by my darling Rae it is just
too long
to not put under a read more so move along
Let me set the scene: I woke up entirely too late this morning, spending the previous night - more appropriately, early dawn - mourning the fact that my laptop crashed in the middle of me playing Stardew Valley. Rolling out of bed, I knew what I planned to get done today, but after such a sour night, the ball got rolling pretty late. Nevertheless, I’m more than glad to be overly-opinionated about something, if only you still want to hear what I have to say - otherwise feel free to ignore this 😂
Barely bothering with an outfit, I merely threw on my fluffy robe, slipped on the pair of glasses that I need, yet refuse, to wear more consistently, and tied my hair up in that half-effort pony tail that I only wear when I have a long day of analysing to do. By this point, I have powered through four cups of English Breakfast (because I am trying so hard to kick my coffee habits), and I’m overdue for my fifth one.
The sun sets quite fast these days; or maybe I’ve just been waking up too late. But by the time I’ve powered through most of the list - my reading device has signalled its need to be recharged so I decided to hold off on the last two on the list (Prowl and The Sabotage of Simkung House) for the following day - the sun has set and the street lamps glow orange within the misty winter evening.
I’ve always liked your writing - still very much do. And for a long time, I can admit that I was envious of how well you can write, how well you understand your characters and their motivations, and how aware you are of what’s happening in the story from start to finish. I used to punish myself for not being nearly as good as you. I say all of this not to guilt you, but to express my humbled gratitude, that you would turn to me and consistently seek out my opinion. So I tried to be constructive, not just bombard you with well-deserved praises, but also see the work objectively too.
SO let me set the scene. Over the past few months, I have sent you every single thing I write because I’m a glutton for feedback and validation, but also because I found something so touching and forward in how you found me in the first place. You came to me, said you enjoyed my work, only to find out that you’re a terrific and talented writer and human being in general in your own right? I value your take on all art so, so much, and I’ve figured I’ve been greedy on numerous occasions, but I also treasured your critique when it’s difficult to do that to a friend’s work.
So here’s where I’m at. I worked from home today, and this morning starts out fine enough until I deal with a very agitated client on the phone. I’m dour as I sip on the cold brew boba I made this morning in a fit of restless self-criticism, and check my inbox on a whim because I know I’m terrible at keeping up and see your feedback on not just one or two, but nearly EVERYTHING that you hadn’t caught up on yet.
As an added note, I also don’t wear my glasses nearly as much as I should. They spend much more time on top of my head than they should.
Now, shall we begin?
Standby
What I like most about Standby, and really all of your writings, is that it often calls to question, something of a moral dilemma. In Standby, the dilemma is clear, ‘is love allowed to exist in the professional work environment?’, but not just that, there’s also the factor of Chan being an idol and MC being a staff member. Already, there are plenty layers of politics(?) at play here - public vs private, media/celebrity status, gender inequality, etc. Looking over my notes [yes, I wrote physical notes as I read each piece lmao I have too much time now that I’m on semester break], I reserve so many high praises to Standby for constructing a story well, start to finish, and for highlighting the power play effectively through their physical relationship - the sex isn’t just thrown there, it’s an intentional device to shed light to the motivations and the personalities of these characters. It’s not just porn with plot, as you sometimes jokingly claim your writings to be, it’s porn and plot. I’d say other examples of this would be the Keep Away and Asking For It series.
Playing on this same idea, I’m very fond of Chan and MC’s dynamic - the naive and the hyper-anxious, or better, the idealist and the realist. We’ve all been both at some point in our relationships, so I feel like it’s almost too easy to empathise with both, especially when the stakes are so goddamn high. And because these characters are so fleshed out - as in we understand what’s in it for them - every action and every progression in the story makes complete sense. Every twist has a logical resolution as a result of the reader being able to understand who the characters are.
In saying this, I don’t know if it’s only because I didn’t re-read everything from the start, but I would love to know exactly why Chan’s in love with the MC, or why he thinks he is. Their relationship is so circumstantial(?), that one could easily strike Chan out as merely delusional.  I think there could’ve been some really interesting storyline about his vulnerabilities as an idealist with such a demanding occupation, or that despite being human his job doesn’t allow him to make mistakes. Perhaps that’s just the pessimist in me refusing to believe he could simply be so ardently in love with the MC in other areas besides their physical romance, but I would’ve loved to see you make room for more emotional confrontations - put the reader right in the thick mud of it all!
Oh, and before I forget: HyunJae! Best side character I’ve read in a fic in a long while. Well developed and contributed to the story in so many, almost blink and you’ll miss it, ways. I especially love the gradual development of her relationship, going from mentor, to sisterly, to borderline parental. And that line about humanising her in the same way as when you first realise your parent is only human too - genius !!
Your points here on Chan’s development is so entirely valid and a great critique to point out. His motives aren’t fleshed out, and we can blame MC’s lack of seeking that out, but I know it’s really on me. If I dig in, I know I originally wanted Chan to find someone who was efficient and professional he was, but even more in control without being as controlling as other people in his life. She challenges him and keeps him on track when he’s very much in that position with his members on a regular basis. He feels comfortable with MC because he feels he’s seen a side of her she doesn’t really show much, and she’s willing to break those walls down to let him in and that really intrigues him and lights his fire, while also encouraging him to let someone else be in charge when he take a break from being leader for a little bit.
And Hyunjae is best girl. She was so fun to write, and I knew right away she needed a solid arc. It’s heartbreaking to feel like you outgrew a mentor, but if you’re lucky they can still be dear to you in some way.
Young Wings
When you said you wrote Young Wings with me in mind, I was more nervous than I was excited; what could possibly warrant such a level of affection? As an unfortunate result, I read this piece while constantly digging for the answer. Does she think I’d make a good stewardess? Am I this skeptical of cute boys? Oh my God did the pilot just die?! Anyhow, I kept being pleasantly surprised as the story progressed, as the characters are stripped back layer by layer, until they’re both literally naked. And soon enough, I figured out why you said you wrote this story with me in mind. You once mentioned - and I’m gravely paraphrasing here - that you saw me as a romantic, maybe even a hopeless one. I refused to believe the title, convincing myself that I have such a hardened heart [despite loving rom-com’s to a fault]. But no, you’re absolutely right, I’m an absolute sucker for romance. And Young Wings has such a beautiful high, a very warm glow of romance emanating from the two characters. They’re very human, very easy to like. And even though it employs a character dynamic of one being professionally above the other (like in Standby, Chan’s job is clearly a lot more essential that MC’s), it’s a softer approach, in a lot better lighting - Also, tangent, but thank you for addressing sexism in the Flight Attendant industry!
And I can’t not point out this heartwarming quote:
“The terrifying thing no one told us growing up was that finding your ‘thing’ isn’t a finish line. It’s not like you find it and that’s it. A lot of times it’s more like goalposts. You have to keep passing them and sometimes there’s never a finish line, but you love it and that’s what matters.”
I’m not an active stan of Stray Kids, nor an active stan of Chan. But I very much fell in love with him in this piece!
I forgot what, exactly, was the precise impetus for having you in mind when writing this (aside from your astute recollection of my labeling you a hopeless romantic) and now I remembered! I believe at the time I wrote it you were going through a period of cold feet around school and a career path and general restlessness and apprehension that I remembered regularly suffering through when I was in school. In my own way, I woke up one day and didn’t feel at home in the skies anymore like the MC does. I keep three or four drafts going simultaneously at almost all times, so here I believe I was wrestling with Prowl pt. 3 and feeling a bit harried on the feelings there. I usually end up pivoting to a project with compared or contrasted feelings, so this is the warmth to Prowl’s cold. And you would make a cute flight attendant for what it’s worth.
To Those Who Wait
I’m not gonna lie, I thought this was set up to be a rom-com of sorts, I really did not think this would take such a tense turn. I really like the premise! Again, it’s such an interesting moral dilemma, having to choose between being stubborn or taking the high ground. Perhaps it was in how well the narrative is set up, that I, too, kept waiting for the curtain to be pulled and for Changbin to reveal some underlying plan. I was antsy, and nervous. And as a result, I really didn’t expect the oncoming series of events - I seldom read the warning labels, especially when I trust the writer and I know what kind of content I can expect from them. But this one really did take me by surprise. I love that, in revising the story, it really was all hinted from the beginning - the power play was clear from the moment the MC was introduced as this ball-busting office worker, and Changbin as the polite and reserved assistant - but I was so invested in hunting down the truth, and being disarmed by Changbin’s sickly sweet performance, that I completely missed the underlying motives of their actions/reactions. I also seemed to have made a note about wanting to see more of Changbin’s submissive nature through real life interactions - ie. he had never taken the train before, so in this situation, he was being guided by the MC - but I think that reaches too far over the line of where you intended to put/write this relationship; it’s more of a personal preference really. Anyhow, this was a thrilling read from start to finish - underlined by the fact that Changbin is my fave in Stray Kids ><
A CHANGBIN STAN WE LOVE TO SEE IT. I fell head over heels for Changbin’s IRL rich kid upbringing, like he really did come from this cushy background and he’s still so talented and capable, and I wanted a fun scenario to plant that into. Funny and thrilling was truly where I wanted it, and I do have this projected as a series to really explore this relationship and what, exactly, these two characters are waiting for. And I’m glad you were caught by Changbin’s reveal! It had to be something he was truly ashamed of and that MC would be bitter about for years but could ultimately forgive.
What You Don’t Know
Funnily enough, my first note is that this reminds me a lot of a friendship I had with someone. Even from the way it began - the unbelievably clever line: It’s not like you hated Jisung when you met him. It wasn’t like you liked him, either. Really, you didn’t anything Jisung - with Jisung and the MC going from strangers, to friends, to questionably more than friends. The bloom of their interactions reads so organically -probably because it mirrors my own experiences- even down to Stephanie’s interference. I really do like this one for a lot of reasons: it’s my favourite AU, it’s a setting that is real to me therefore I can vividly feel everything, and the stakes of the relationship aren’t so dire that it makes the pining so much worse, because you can’t justify the jealousy properly. And the dialogues between Jisung and the MC also reads so realistic, it’s not stiff nor vague. It cleverly reflects the stages of their familiarity, from unsure and stilted to playfully affectionate - this is why I’m so especially fond of the first time she tugs his hair, the tense change in the air, asking you if they just crossed a line or simply made the natural progression in their very fond relationship. ( Also don’t think that scene with MC and Chan in the car is just going to fly over my head missy, I need to know the history there! ) I like this for a multitude of reasons, all of which are deeply influenced by the fact that I’ve been in the MC’s exact shoes. The only difference being that I did not sleep with that friend, and his Stephanie made us stop talking to each other. Otherwise, this story made me squeal, 10/10 for realism!
Yes! Who doesn’t love a college au? They’re so easy to retreat back to. I was literally inspired by a joke in Scrubs (“I nothing you” is the line there) and built an entire scenario around that. The sub argument is an infamous embarrassing moment for me where I did, repeatedly, label one of our friends as a sub and definitely definitely definitely thought of how easy it’d be to prove it like the MC does and NOW IT’S WEIRD WHEN HE CALLS MY PARTNER TO HANG OUT ON THE PHONE ALL THE TIME. I think we’ve all had to deal with a Stephanie (I certainly have) but I hate that yours drove you away! I always thought this scenario was a little universal, but I didn’t expect it to be to that extent. Also, don’t worry, the Chan story gets explained down the line.
Au Pair
I cannot stress this enough, but I love this!! The premise reads like a telenovela, with a quiet tension that can only be found when a scene is handled as expertly as you have. As a result, from the get go, I think I was just waiting for the trouble to kick in. I thought it would hit during the pool scene, or perhaps even the dining room scene when Carson refuses his food. But what I didn’t expect was for the first kick to not even include the MC, but rather just be something that she observed - classic telenovela ! I re-read that paragraph thrice because my jaw dropped. I knew something bad was going to happen, but I really didn’t expect it to be that! I know you wrote is as a oneshot, but I really would love to read more of this. I feel like it could have been fleshed out a bit more, really unpack the characters and their motives. I feel like I’m just getting a taster of something amazing here, something really dramatic and jaw-dropping. I’d also love to see things from Carson’s perspective somehow too! Something I’ve picked up during my babysitting days, very young children tend to subconsciously reflect a lot of a family’s conflicts. Carson is obviously smart, but he’s also a kid, and in a family structure like that with - as you said - a rotation of authority figures, I feel like he could have a lot to contribute, especially as a narrative device! Also I love your choice of mystery member! I think it makes complete sense, I really couldn’t see anyone else for the role, he’s a very fitting choice! I’m obviously fond of this one, it got me really invested, and - I’m not meaning this in a demanding way - I only wish I could read more of it.
A telenovella I LIVE. I guess growing up with Days of Our Lives paid off. This is one of those readings I never expected but I’m thriving off of. I love a good turn of a character feeling like they’ve exposed themselves as a fool, and I’m glad it read well here. Carson IS smart and I love that idea of his perspective. At one point I did picture a small epilogue where Miranda steps up to the plate while the Mystery Member and MC run away and start a new life in San Francisco where he becomes head chef of a trendy fusion restaurant.
Exposure
This made me incredibly nervous in the same way Surreptitious made my hands clammy. Because not only am I (a) a photographer who (b) will pass as a child given the right outfit and mannerisms, but © I know what it’s like to be asked to give up your artistic integrity in exchange for money or exposure (ba dum tsss). So this hits home a little too hard, especially that you made Doyoung the photographic subject rip. But I really really like this one too! It was thrilling in the ways I least expected it to be, this undercover adventure of being a paparazzi, and the active use of disguises to reflect an outward character that Jungwoo has the pleasure of, well, pleasuring himself to - which I think is what makes her last outfit in the story, the black ensemble, all the more interesting!
I also love seeing Jungwoo portrayed this way, that you didn’t entirely sacrifice his disarmingly innocent aura, but you also gave him a devilish streak - so faithful to how I personally imagine him. It’s a wonderful balance that kind of perfectly hits the middle ground, and makes him such an interesting and almost unpredictable character. And I love the MC in this, that she has an inner integrity that is undercut by the way she dresses as these multiple characters throughout the story - I think two two characters compliment each other well. She outwardly presents dynamism, while Jungwoo represents it more inwardly. So when they come together, it’s so masterful and I cannot peel my eyes away from them. I also really like that you didn’t make either one a dom or a sub, which only speaks so much more to that dynamic previously mentioned. It works so especially well, given what we know about these characters, and the non-stakes of their story arcs. I want to see more of this, but I’d also be really satisfied with where it ends. It leaves such a well-rounded note of camaraderie between the two characters, that in my head, I’m rooting for them to somehow end up together.
I felt like I entirely punted this one across the finish line so I am FLOORED by your reading and response. I wanted to try something a little different and felt so, SO self-conscious the whole time I was convinced it showed, so I’m honesty surprised it was effective. I’ve had my own experiences as well with lying to get a job done, but my biggest goal was to challenge the Jungwoo Innocent Baby Boy narrative that the fandom likes to feed into, so I’m VERY glad that was effective.
I just realised that this is now over 2k long, so it’s a good thing that I’m finishing here. Like I said earlier, I’ll be venturing to read Prowl and The Sabotage of Simkung House tomorrow, so expect to hear from me again soon. Otherwise have a good night, or morning, depending when you read this, and thank you for writing such wonderful stories! Truly, you continue to impress me as a writer, and I’m humbled to be your friend.
So by the end of my first reading of these notes, I was pretty much in tears because I loved that you took the time to do this, to read my work that you are not obligated to and give me feedback that I am not entitled to. I love you to bits, Rae, and it stuns me that I found a friend on the other side of the sunset that I feel like I can confide in and look to for guidance. I hope you know how much you shine. ❤️

Le Sign, Abby
Anonymous asked: this is funny, C posted a photo of beard, D posted photos with the beard. Almost like they were sitting next to each other and saying “ok ok I will say this” (and it isn’t like EVERY Halloween Darren and Chris post their costumes for their fans)
 ajw720 answered:
The only difference, C controls his SM and the bearding, D does not, (that isn’t true but I know you need to believe it or your world comes tumbling down). but they knew the Halloween post was coming when C posted his belated b-day wishes (not that he acknowledged they were late).
It really is, if you can remove the very human, tragic element, like a script for a really bad D Movie.  C posts “Happy Birthday, Babe!” a day after the man’s actual b-day and “D” praises his fake bride for MAKING TEN costumes (let me stop you right there, Darren was actually APPRECIATING Mia for putting together 10 costumes while he was too busy to help. He was praising her for thinking of and executing 10 costumes. He was honoring her for being as into Halloween as he is and playing along. He was praising her because he loves her. If he wanted to praise her for shopping he would have use the word shopping. Your reductive shopping tirades- which you turned it into a full day of nonsense intended to bully Mia- misses the point of his Tweet entirely. At the end of the day, he appreciates her. If your lover appreciates you AND is sensitive enough to care about your feelings they should write something about you on social media..if they aren’t, then it sucks to be you but shut up because the shopping straw man silly makes you look petty, obtuse, unappreciated, mean girls who are so jealous you can’t see straight.  Yes, a lot of their costumes this year were mass-produced and purchased this year-so what? Who cares? Is the bar of Halloween costumes that they are all couture? In the past they have used costume designers- they never made their own costumes entirely from scratch themselves. But that doesn’t mean that coordinating 10 costumes isn’t time consuming and clearly Darren didn’t care -he appreciated her.) Sure praise her if she actually designed them and sat with her sewing machine  No, she went online and ordered things (I doubt she even went to a store) (Why would that matter? You really have no idea what she did do you? You’re just grasping because you're so pissed that Darren mentioned Mia and now you are stuck erasing that history...AGAIN. Darren is always doing things with- and saying things about- his wife that prove time and time again that they are a couple and he loves her...it infuriates you because you have to erase it or "debunk” it. ) and 3 couple costumes were cheap frankly (Again, why would that matter but also at $50+ per costume, I wouldn't call that “cheap”?).  The only thought was how narcissistic she could be (What did she do? I didn’t see her social media...what did she say? Oh, right, you didn’t see her social media.  You're just pissed that Darren mentioned one nice word about her. Your the one who blew it up into Armageddon and gave her so much attention) in their execution (as @flowersintheattic254 pointed out even the Mario costume had  a reason, it was a reminder of Japan and the fake encagement by referring to the ad that paid for their trip there) (Huh? You're insane.  That’s suuuucccchhhhhh a stretch- but then you cannot stop thinking about that trip. I just don’t understand who the person you believe ccDarren is.  Is he such a coward that he lets Mia walk all over him and hurt him over and over? Why would he agree to be a dog hurt by CDV or make fun of the place they g to engaged if ccMia was ruining his life? Nobody is that much of a wuss ass twit.  The rest of us on planet sanity know that a the real reason they wore that costume was because Mario wins when he rescues Peach).
And seriously how are people not questioning that she spent the entirety of her month picking TEN costumes? (Because it isn’t our place to question that. I don’t get your beef? Is it because she isn’t stuck working 9-5 in a cubicle like you are? Is it because she both a successful business and a wealthy spouse so she has more freedom than you do?)  Who has time for this?  I know, i know, a person whose only role in life is to play fake plus one.(You come off as so jealous every time you bring this up-and god how many times can you bring it up? How other people live shouldn’t concern you. It just spins up your anxiety and you have no control over it. Couples make decisions about their roles and their work schedules and nobody else gets a say and nothing is “normal” or “abnormal”.)
I am just so tired by D in particular being utterly dragged down by the useless dead weight by his side and his team’s sole ambition to promote her and make her sound like a decent person. (Here’s the harsh reality Abby- Darren posted his Halloween costumes and gave Mia a simple mentioned and you have written or reposted 23 posts about it just today. It has consumed your blog and your life. The ONLY person pushing and promoting Mia is YOU and your ilk. Mia is a decent person with lots and lots of friends-but even if she was the world’s worst person-even if she sat all day stalking and cyber-bulling strangers - you still have no say in who Darren marries and loves. That you don’t like her- or that you
If they wanted to praise her, maybe they should have forced her to participate in the zero waste initiative instead of sitting drinking by the pool or have her volunteer to help young girls who have been kicked out of their homes, or have been raped.  (This entire paragraph is rich-talk about moving the goalposts- if he had put her in the video-which wasn't under his control since it wasn’t his project, he was just the host- you would have lost your shit over her being in the video raging about her lack of worth  she isn’t famous, she’s a slut, blah blah blah...like please please have enough self respect to recognize that you would have been livid if she was in the project). Or pick any cause and truly volunteer her time to promote it (you have NO idea what she does with her time or money because she doesn’t post it on social media. If she did, you would be raging that she was looking for attention- so please stop. What do YOU do to help the world?).  If she is not going to actually get a job and pursue a career (SHE OWNS A BUSINESS!!!!! Just like your boss... and you know she does. Your refusal to accept that is an ad hominom logical fallacy) please force her to do something that is actually of value and contribute something good to the world. But to praise her for picking TEN costumes? (Le sigh.)
Praise that comes from a man who this year alone won three awards, is starring in a show he created and wrote the music for, has his first big movie premiere this week, is exec producer and star of a huge show on N/etflix, just announced his starring role with 2 A++ lists actors next spring on Broadway, celebrated the 5th anniversary of the festival he created, volunteered his time for the zero waste initiative, performed at several charity events, and was just yesterday name limited series actor of the decade.  Where is the praise for him from his “bride”? (Abby, come on, just because she doesn’t have public sm doesn’t mean she isn’t praising him in real life -or on her private sm-in fact, she has praised him on her social media that has been reblogged and you bitch about that. She was bragging about him speaking Tagalog at a dinner and your bitched and moaned that she didn’t know the language his mom speaks-forgive me for not believing you know more than she does). He at least deserves it. (Why does he deserve it? Because he’s famous and he’s a good actor? People are more than the value of their celebrity. You sure buy into the celebrity-obsessed culture don’t you? Pathetic. A husband thanking his wife for doing something for him is not something you can argue about-It is what it is. You have no say. There is no argument, no straw man, no gaslighting, and no erasing it).
(here is where it gets intense)
How do they not see how ridiculous it is for someone with D’s accomplishments in 2019 alone praise a person for purchasing TEN costumes for Halloween? (SMH because one has nothing to do with other. Comparing them is another logical fallacy-your entire post is full of them. It’s like saying that if I am honored for my work saving kids’ lives, you can’t be honored for your work because your work in corporate immigration isn’t as important as mine is). And stans, how do you accept that this is right or normal. (I just don’t get why you continue to ask us WHY and then outright refuse to learn from what we say.  A life without learning is a wasted a life, Abby. To answer your question-because there is no “right" or “normal” when it comes to a stranger’s life. Darren’s life is Darren’s life and he can marry a Rhode’s Scholar or high school drop out with a low IQ. He can marry someone who never wanted to work or someone who wants to own the world. He can marry a humanitarian or Kim Kardashian.  It’s his choice..not yours...you have no say whatsoever.)  You really know nothing about him and have such little respect for him as a person if you continue to accept the character his idiotic team has created on his behalf.  It is so far from the person he is and that he generally holds himself out to be when given the opportunity. (oooh someone has been reading my blooogggggg. No, Abby, YOU have no clue who Darren is.  When I read Darren’s words or hear him in an interview, I take in what he says and I simply add that info into my internal “who is Darren” file. This is how we learn about the personality of anyone and everyone we know. We hear what they say about themselves and we take in how they act and what they care about, what they don’t care about, what they think is important, and what they do with their life at work and outside of work and we form a persona in our minds. You, on the other hand, have decided Darren is a very specific persona that you only see on rare occasions and looks far more like Blaine than he does like the real Darren.  So instead of listening and learning, you immediately set about to rewrite his words, change the meaning, and debase their value and intent because you have already formulated your version of Darren and it’s static. You won’t accept anything he does or says as “real” if it doesn’t meet that fantasy Darren. But this isn’t how it works in real life. We don’t label someone and then expect them to fit that model at all times or we get angry and scream “this isn’t normal”.  Everyone we know is growing and learning and changing al the time and we simply take in that information and store it away as part of their personality. You spend so much time being so angry about Darren’s life  because you haven’t actually seen much of your ccDarren since Glee ended. And you know that at some level because you just said “It is so far from the person he is and that he generally holds himself out to be when given the opportunity” That is the key here- the Darren you love is never around because that Darren ceased to exist when Blaine went away. The Real Darren is the one you see every single day- he’s a multifaceted guy-just like all of us- who can be prim and proper when he wants to but can be bawdy and crude and sexual. They are all Darren Criss).
This isn’t about being a “gay fetishist” or “hating woman” this is about wanting for D to be fairly and accurately represented and no longer forced to participate in this stupid, life sucking game to promote a person that contributes absolutely nothing to the world.  (No, you're right, this isn’t about being a gay fetishist or misogynist- you are those as well- but this right here is about you not liking the person Darren Criss is in real life and demanding he adopt the persona of a character you fell in love with on Glee.    Darren was never Blaine. Yes, he can act like Blaine in an occasional Tweet or during an interview- usually on the red carpet when he doesn’t know the interviewer. But that doesn’t mean he is that person.  Think about it, you have never once seen the Darren you believe he is outside of Glee events, interviews, your favorite 3 Tweets (the Met Gala coat, the granddaughter of his Midway character and Bradley Cooper)  and the conversations you imagine he has with his family and Chris. It isn't reasonable to believe that the Darren you see every single day isn’t the real Darren. People are who they are, they aren’t who we want them to be- that goes for your favorite celebs, your parents, your best friends, your lovers, your coworkers and even your children (which is a very hard lesson for some parents). You’re suggesting that he is acting like someone else because you don’t like what you see. That isn’t  healthy, period. As for promoting a person who contributes nothing to this world- judging someone based entirely on other people’s social media mentions of her is frankly fucked up. It’s another logical fallacy to believe you know what Mia does for the world. She owns an entertainment venue and Darren is an entertainer. Just because Darren has more fame than she does, doesn’t make him more valuable. It’s really pathetic and sad that you see the world that way.)  If you want to have a strong female role model, there are so many, i’ve talked about a few in the past few days (thus far Nancy, Lea, and Phoebe)  and will continue to do so, but please stop worshiping a person whose sole reason you are speaking about her is her connection to D, even if you refuse to accept it is fake.  (Abby, Darren loves Mia. He married her, IDK what it takes for you to understand that you have no say in his life and bitching and moaning and demonizing Mia says nothing about Mia, but it does say everything about you. You're petty, cruel, a bully, and you are losing sight of reality- please get some help. As for role models- I had to ask because I couldn't’ imagine that Lea was Lea Michele-it’s funny how your opinion of her changed after you saw more of the real Lea on LM/DC tour. Maybe you should learn from that.  Nancy Pelosi-I mean yes but are you suggesting Darren marry Nancy? And Phoebe? Phoebe who? I don’t understand this argument at all. First of all it false presumes that everyone looks to Mia as a role model. None of us know her. The only people obsessing about others looking to Mia as a role model are you and the tinhats. I’m 50 years old, the only younger people I look to as role models are people who are doing something to change the world we are living in -fighting corruption, hate, and climate change. I don’t look to Lea, Darren or Mia as role models .  I enjoy them as entertainers and I think Mia is kick ass but it ends there.   We can all look to Nancy as a role model, but what the hell doe she have to do with Darren and Mia? My celebrity crush on Darren has nothing to do with looking for strong female role models nor does it have anything to do with who he is married to).

I've never seen a pro choicer say that a human doesn't begin at conception. I've seen them say that life exists before conception and that no living person or dead person has the right to use the body of another without consent. Also you can't really claim there's no scientific basis when the WHO, the American medical assocition journal of ethics, and most medical science orgs agree that abortion is healthcare. like..what do you even mean "there's no basis for abortion." basis for what?
Longer reply to follow, but I need better editing tools than askbox allows.  Short version is, you either didn’t read what I wrote, didn’t understand it, or intentionally didn’t reply to what I said.
Among other examples of abortion stans denying science, there’s this lovely thread where an abortion fan tries to claim that single cells from a multi-cellular organism is the same thing as an unborn human in blastocyst or zygote stage, therefore the unborn child is not really a full human being and therefore may be licitly killed.
This kind of nonsense happens all the time.  In fact, you are doing it in your ask.
“life exists before conception“
I didn’t say “life.”  I said, and I’m gonna quote from the post you’re objecting to, “an individual human life.”  The thing under discussion isn’t “anything that happens to be alive.”  It is an individual, specific, particular, discrete human organism.  Which an unborn human is at literally any point post-conception.  Yes, that includes before implantation.  No, this isn’t opinion, it is fact.  Any credible biologist will say this is fact.  This is twice now I have given the source, by the way.  Read the damn link, it’s not hard.
Nor does it matter that sperm cells are living cells.  They’re not discrete human organisms.  They are not lifeforms.  Know how we know?  Because despite being motile human reproductive cells, sperms can’t reproduce on their own.  There is no “sperm species.”  An X sperm and a Y sperm can’t get together and have little baby sperms to grow up strong and wiggly.  Sperm cells do not metabolize, change over time, or reproduce after their own kind.  Sperms are not lifeforms, they’re just a cell produced by one.  Nor are ova.  It is only when the two reproductive cells are combined (which is the process called “conception”) that a new lifeform can be produced by them.  In the case of a human sperm and ovum, a human lifeform.  Which, even in the very early points of their life, is a complete, individual, specific, particular, discrete human organism.
“no living person or dead person has the right to use the body of another without consent“
This doesn’t, and never has washed with small children.  If a neonate and an adult woman capable of nursing are snowbound in a cabin for two weeks, the woman can feed the child, but refuses to?  Guess what?  She’s going to jail for neglect.  It is the responsibility of adults to see to the care of young children, at least long enough to hand that responsibility off to a more permanent caregiver.  That responsibility is more imperative, not less, the younger the child in question is.  Nor does abortion qualify as an act of self-defense, since an unborn child is not and can not be an aggressor.
This is a very, very unconvincing argument.  Always has been.  And I’m 100% pro-self-defense.  Simply put, if you’re gonna tell me I can fight back against someone, they need to be fighting me to start with and no unborn human can ever qualify as doing that.
Nor can you say, “Well it’s different when it’s a born child because they’re [ANY VARIANT PHRASE OF “AN ACTUAL PERSON” HERE]!”  Because, as previously established, the unborn human being is a human being and is alive.  This is not a subject on which the science is in debate.  And if you come in with, “Well they’re not really a person until they have [SENTIENCE/A BRAIN STEM/NERVOUS SYSTEM ACTIVITY/REFLEXES/A SOCCER TROPHY]!”  Then...  Well, I just quote what I said before.  “Those who don’t ignore it or are confronted with it, immediately start moving the goalposts.”  Because that’s what you’ll be doing.  An unborn human being is a complete, individual, specific, particular, discrete human being.  To acknowledge this fact, yet support abortion anyway is to voice your support for murder.  Period.
There is no scientific basis for supporting abortion.
There are emotional ones.  “I don’t feel like a human that young is really a human!” is a 100% denial of science.  But it can net people on emotional grounds.  It is an appeal to feelings, not to facts.  And while feelings do have their place and are not meaningless, they are not a sufficient basis on which to end the life of a human being.  Which is the undisputed scientific reality of what abortion does.
Period.

Note
if i see reylos becoming antis for other ships or being one of those 'i don't even watch x but i know y is garbage lol' casuals in the notes: you either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain
LOL
The next Worst Villain Ever could literally eat babies onscreen and I would still be like “You go, stans of Baby Eater, be free and live your bliss *reblogs support post*” If the content legitimately bothers me, I’ll blacklist and avoid it, instead of making passive-aggressive posts on public platforms about it. Because acting like jerks to real, living human beings is always, always worse than enjoying “bad” fiction, no matter what.
I have characters that I can’t stand too, of course, and there are villains who I think are written as irredeemable. But a) you don’t see me modeling my entire online identity on hating them, and b) going after their fans would be shitty anyway, even when you know they’re out there making *excuses* for bad things their fave did to your fave. Let people have fun woobifying who the fuck they want and blacklist/block whenever you can’t take it.
We should make a “Never Shame or Mock Fans of The Next Big Problematic Ship or Character That People Are Dunking On” pact, seriously. I saw the turn in the Z*tara fandom, where people went from having to defend their ship to happily bullying people with other, “worse” ships like Reylo once Zuko was anointed A Good Boy, and I would hate to see the same turn happen in the Reylo fandom. We’ll eventually stop being targets: that doesn’t mean it’ll be okay to join the anti crowd and start bullying.
It’s very easy to compartmentalize and move the goalposts so “my hatred for (x) character/ship has nothing to do with anti behavior!”. I see this happening occasionally even now that we’re still targets. Just because we were victims of anti culture in one fandom, it doesn’t mean we can’t tolerate, endorse or even actively enforce anti behavior in other fandoms. So this is something that I hope our community continues to be aware of and fight for even when it no longer directly affects us. If there’s something that loving villains and problematic ships taught me, is that it’s important to practice what you preach; that you can’t twist pro-freedom of shipping/villain stanning arguments to selectively apply them to your faves only, or you’ll end up undermining those arguments in a big way.

Happy Anniversary Ya Losers
You know I sat down for a really long time trying to decide how to make an intro for this thing that is both witty and appropriate but honestly…
Tumblr media
.... How the fuck do you even introduce this?
Anyways, hello everyone, my name is DestinyGuardians, also known as ‘that one bitch over there’, and in honour of today being the one year anniversary of the Rip Hunter Stan Discord Chat, I have decided to give you all the facts, FACTS, that you need to know to become a member of this chat.
A wonderful and accepting community where everyone is treated with the love and appreciation they deserve...
--
Tumblr media
(Who the fuck do you think you are)
---
... and where you are sure to find a bunch of people who will treat you with nothing less then utmost respect.
---
Tumblr media
(WHO THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU ARE-)
---
So at this point y’all might have heard about us, the “Rip deserves better stans then he has” squad, the creators of the Rip’s Bitch Ass Club of Losers, the scourge of the LOT fandom. As of this day we have compromised a staggering amount of a whole 30 people who
Tumblr media
really
Tumblr media
need better coping mechanisms.
That’s a fact.
I mean who can blame them though, trying to stan Rip Hunter requires every single person to immediately turn themselves into a dead ass tired warrior as they have to overcome every single goddamn hurdle thrown at them by both the fandom and the writers as they keep moving that goalpost farther and farther away.
Have you seen the content we make, our fics and posts and some of the conversations we hold. Look at this and what do you see?
Tumblr media
What you’ll become if you join that’s right.
Guaren-fucking-teed.
Another important fact that you should know is that at some point you’re going to have a stroke-
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
-and begin making as much sense as a Donald Trump Presidency. Have an ambulance on the line and keep on going.
But you’re not here to listen to me complain, you’re here to talk about what to expect when you get into the chat, full of knowledge and those FACTS-
Alright so when you get in after you’ve spent way too long choosing your nickname and your icon that you’re going to be changing whenever the fuck you want either way-
(that’s a fact)
-you’ll immediately be confronted with this:
Tumblr media
That’s right, ladies and gents, we got more than three channels, and guess what, out of all twenty or so (i can’t count) of these channels,
you’re only going to be using three.
As you can see, it’s divided into two large sections: the Waverider and the Jumpship.
And that’s it.
That’s it there’s only two.
We were going to have three but...
Tumblr media
There’s only two...
...
Anyways let’s be honest, the Jumpship... no one really cares about.
Maybe the non-lot spoilers cause like, that’s where we can talk about other shit and the lives we pretend not to have, but you’re still going to be muting it half the time cause you’ll always be behind on something popular. And besides that two of the chats we’re not even allowed to fucking use, and the other’s we just... don’t.
(Like, seriously, when the FUCK did we ever use this channel:
Tumblr media
for literally anything-)
(That’s a fact!)
And this,
Tumblr media
this is just
Tumblr media
this is the like the creme de le creme
Tumblr media
of
Tumblr media
of just
Tumblr media
jesus christ-
(That’s a fact)
That’s just the Liar, and I swear to god the Fight Club alone can take the happiest person in existence and turn them into a monster...
Tumblr media
... wiling to buy a plane ticket and fucking egging Phil Klemmer’s house...
Tumblr media
... because they’re all so fucking ready to throw hands with him and the rest of the writers after season 3.
Tumblr media
(That’s a fact!)
But the Waverider is what really makes The Rip Chat Group, The Rip Chat Group.
This, my intrepid explorers, is where we do the majority of our talking and discussion, and where our best work (patent pending) is posted upon these channels that you see under them.
Alright so we got the channels, we got so many channels, we got like... five.
We got General, where we do most of our complaining talking. We got Pictures, where we show each other our cats and decide that they are more important than you. We got Fanfic-Channel, where wonderful stories are written while the rest of us complain about if that One Dude is going to give up their fucking publish button they press whenever the hell they want (you know who you are). We got Roleplay, where we pretend to be someone else to mask the fact that we have lives. Finally we got Spoiler-Chat, which might as well be renamed Fight-Club 2.0 at this fucking point because we’re STILL BITTER.
And that’s it.
Tumblr media
Those are
Tumblr media
the only ones
Tumblr media
And that’s a fact.
So basically when you join us it’s really very simple you know. You come in, you introduce yourself in the introduction chat if you want to and reads all the rules (located in the Jumpship, yes, it does have some worth, kids), and then you just come in and chat with the rest of us, pretty simple.
Until you realize that we have FUCKING LORE NOW.
*deep breath*
So what happened was Kalinara/Kale (not the vegetable, tho a vegetable would be a better leader than her) decided that she was going to make a team in the chat and call it team fish in honour of The Arthur And Fish Picture (you know which one you know which one) for reasons that have yet to be fathomed.
Tumblr media
And since the nsfw section is actually called the Fish Lair you can imagine where on the alignment chart we all fell under.
Tumblr media
And everyone else like LETS NOT MISS OUT ON THIS HOT ACTION, so they all made teams of their own and that’s how such teams like Rainbow Dragon Squirrel (yeeeeaaaah, those fucking guys, whoo!) and Team Yeehaw were formed.
Tumblr media
Then one day our benevolent ruler T.D said NO MORE TEAMS because she said so.
We don’t have any obedience so we called them cults instead, and if T.D said we couldn't do that we would call them bands, and all the drama only happened in Team/Cult/Band Fish.
(That’s a fucking fact)
Then one day I fucking overthrew Kale and she was like CURSE YOUR INEVITABLE BETRAYAL and then I lost the throne because I gave it to someone on their birthday and then THEY lost the throne back to Kale.
Tumblr media
She then decreed that if anyone could get Arthur Darvill to sign the Fish Pic (you know which one you KNOW WHICH ONE-) they could do whatever the fuck they wanted with the teams.
And T.D using pure willpower, a year of dealing with the bullshit, and the ability to get over social anxiety, she goddamn got that fucking picture signed.
And now all the teams are one massive team and someone made a fucking picture of the union to commemorate it, hold up-
Tumblr media
Yup there we go.
...
I think that’s everything of importance.
As you can see there’s...
There’s a lot of shit.
FACT.
---
Though honestly...
Tumblr media
I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Love you guys, Happy Anniversary.

https://sokumotanaka.tumblr.com/post/181713291262/so-when-kob-over-generalizes-the-entire-rwde-tag
Man I wish I was of legal age.
Tumblr media
Funny you should use Adachi here. You know, the sociopathic sexist asshole. Keep that in mind.
It goes without saying that rwby stans have been explained to death that they are people who see rwby as flawless and treat any sort of criticism against it as a slight against their lives, a personal attack, something they tell other fans to die over.
... I just criticized Volume 6 Episode 9′s Jaune scene.
So...You kind of fucked yourself.
A fan is different, they can like the show and admit it’s flaws, have a healthy discussion without biting off the other’s head cause they dont preach the show like certain others.
Funny how you’ve never had a healthy discussion of the show, going as far as to boo at people for mentioning the show in other places.
When I say rwby stans are Assholes, pedophiles, racist, idiots etc I’ve yet to be proven wrong, not only do they have an unsual harsh veiw on a optional tag they could block but they always turn out to support one of these fucked up vises. (A guy literally talked about how 17 year old girls have their full adult bodies so that makes it okay to perv on them, that’s creepy and pedophilic dude.) (Another has stated black people to be the lowest race of intellegence yet he wants to concur a black woman like their some forbidden animal, it’s disgusting.)
Yeah, says the guy bitching about SU crits
And mind you SOku, you’ve lied so much in the past you're gonna need to show me proof someone said that, let alone it being a reoccurring issue.
Oh and as for that second point-
Someone send that Anon over to me because I have little story to tell them.
There was a post in the RWDE tag talking about how Miles Luna was gross for encouraging two coplayers who were in a vaguely sexual position. Mage jumped in with his own view and...he got called a pedophile. Magknight14, a CHILD SEXUAL ASSAULT VICTIM, got called a pedophile because he disagreed with RWDE.
Yeah Anon, maybe you’re starting to understand WHY I’m an asshole.
kkkob has shown all these traits and I through actions of rwby stans seen them be one if not all of these, so saying the guy who tried harassing people into suicide
“destroy kob/mage crusade”
Also
or stalk people
*points at the evidence of SOku stalking his blog.*
acts like he some justice advenger like in a cartoon
“destroy kob/mage crusade”
have zero regret for ANY of his actions
https://comments.deviantart.com/1/619991269/4293087251?offset=25#comments
*jabs at Soku’ post*
and saying the tag deserves him? Support abuse and racisim huh? That the hill you wanna die on?
You literally said Mage deserved to be beat by his dad and think Jaune being white is a bad thing.
Regardless if you’re a fan, you have nothing to worry about. But since you seemed to get worked up on what I called the stans it’s probably safe to say you’re one of these awful traits.and people since you went on an tangent.
This has nothing to do with Anon. Anon said NOTHING in regards to themselves. They just called you out on you hypocrisy and you moved the goalposts.
And frankly: yes we do deserve each other. We’re both awful people.

HOLY SHIT POOR SNATCHER
I love the concept of A Hat In Time and i always support it when i can, but it sucks that its one of those games i just cant play no matter how much i love the story and characters, cos its a gameplay genre i suck at. Why so many good things require platformy reflexes!!!
And GAHHHH The Snatcher has SUCH an appealing concept!! Cool shadow man who's a grumpy sass and tries to be a villain but ends up basically being befriended against his will. I love Hat Kid's stubbornness! He reminds me a LOT of Stan from Okage Shadow King, aka One Of The Best Characters In All Of Existance
So yeah ive just been floating around lurking this fandom and being all YEH I LOVV DAT SPOOPY DOOD ftom a distance. But i just learned he also has a SYMAPTHETIC BACKSTORY??
A REALLY FUCKIN DEPRESSING ONE
Holy SHIT, Queen Vanessa is the worst and most horrifilyingly realistic villain ever. She's just fuckin.. Domestic abuse: fantasy edition. That's just it! She was terrifying as a shadow monster but she is WAY WORSE as a normal human abusive girlfriend! And like the story is drip fed to you in a way thats almost sympathetic to her at first but gets darker the more you learn about it? Like from her perspective she ~punished her cheating boyfriend~ and was ~unjustly cursed for it~. But then you find out she literally fuckin chained him up in the dungeon until he starved to death and became The Snatcher. Like even if he was legit cheating, she goddamn murdered him for it! But then you learn that the whole thing was a misunderstanding and he was fuckin BUYING HER FLOWERS and she made a weird assumption he was cheating on her because he TALKED TO ANOTHER WOMAN aka A FUCKIN CASHIER AT A STORE. And then the more lore you get about this the more creepy it gets?? You find out that her prince WASNT EVEN A PRINCE, he was just a random gardener she "fell in love" with at first sight and got really clingy and weird and insisted he has to be her prince now and friggin PUSHED IT SO HARD THAT SHE ERASED HIS ENTIRE FORMER IDENTITY. And she'd dictate how he dressed and what he ate and not allow him yo go outside and when he friggin SAW A TUTOR TO LEARN HOW TO READ AND WRITE she got paranoid he was cheating on her! He was trapped in this horrible situation of being REALLY DAMN DEPENDANT on this woman, she had THE BIGGEST GODDAMN POWER IMBALANCE EVER and picked away at every part of him until he was more like her perfect imaginary boyfriend she wanted more than an actual man with free will. Ugh! Ugh! Ugh!! In retrospect that makes the storybook backstory even sadder because it wasn't even any sort of normal misunderstandibg, she'd already had a history of assuming he was cheating with EVERYONE and limiting his freedom to the point where he had to sneak out just to go to the shops. And he was BUYING A GIFT FOR HER! Like after all she did to him he still legitimately loved her?? He agreed that everything was all his fault and he should just change and just follow her weird "contract" for his life. (Like seriously that makes so sense it would become his power in his undead state???) Poor bastard did everything right and followed every "rule" she gave him and she still kept moving the goalposts and making any excuse to say he failed. And just murdering him in the most goddamn horrific way, when he did nothing to deserve it!
Like HOLY SHIT BRO, Snatcher is so fuckin justified in being Sort Of A Jerk! Im surprised he didnt end up even eviler than he did! And damn im so glad he ends up getting a kinda sorta maybe redemption. Seriously, poor guy! Like seriously it looked like he was even a kid or a teenager when he was "the prince", so he fuckin starved to death chained up on a wall by the person he thougjt loved him and then spent POTENTIALLY A DECADE OR MORE trapped in this monster form and still trying to escape from her shadow. (Literally!) And man no wonder you're able to find loopholes in his contracts if he was fuckin MURDERED FOR TRYING TO LEARN HOW TO WRITE. God thats so CREEPY! Its so real for abusers to try and limit your independance and cut off all contact with other people, even friggin teachers and cashiers. POOR GODDAMN GUY
Can i literally fuckin murder vanessa? Like i'd say she got exactly what she deserved, but even in her monster curse state she's still ruling over the kingdom and all the goddamn innocents she controlled were cursed too! I hope all her servants and guards and stuff were freed when you beat her. Tho if Snatcher is still stuck as Snatcher then i guess this thing just can't be cured :(
AND SERIOUSLY ALL WE CAN EVEN CALL HIM IS SNATCHER! we dont even know his real name! Does he even remember it?? Even his human self is just remembered as 'the prince'...
Why am i getting so feels over a game ive never played...
