if you dont fuck w jacobi and maxwell being best friends forever you dont fuck with me. Highlight of s3 relisten for me so far has been listening to them banter. It’s such a different banter from what you get from everyone else butting heads it’s so bouncy. It tells you they do this all the time but like. They’re friends about it. They hate each other but they also do nefarious shit together theyre bonded forever . Until the incident of course but i digress .

i love the idea of relativity falls stanley getting his memory wiped too.

because like… ford wants to stay in gravity falls & stanley will be Fine if he goes back to new jersey on his own right? hes always fine. but stan freaks out bc ford is going to Leave him and make him go back to his (abusive, verbally and maybe physically) father on his own .

so there’s a huge argument where ford essentially gets mad that stan won’t let him stay easy…. the rift breaks.. instead of them dealing with their issues via ‘everything is perfect’ bubble like the mystery twins did in canon (and maybe could still in relativity falls if they have issues), ford gets to essentially wipe everything out of his brother that makes him Him & then think about how he wanted to leave him behind

of course they could have the bubble as well but its kinda more fun to have them in the midst of an argument when it happens- sort of like how ford only started being actually civil to stan in canon post-weirdmaggedeon

a lot for a little 12 year old to deal with . its just such a fun idea

pardon. i rambled a bit.

i literally only kept stan's memory being wiped because i didn't think that was a very mabel and dipper thing to do, regardless of circumstance because their whole thing is how they go through things TOGETHER so i didn't think that was something that would've happened!!! and also the way im considering handling bill (loosely. bill is not an easy character in this au lol) is similar to og gravity falls in that he pulls ford into isolation, it's just done for Different Reasons (don't ask. head in hands. bill is Complicated And Hard To Manage. i haven't even given much thought to dipper and the portal's relationship yet)

but that way, the stan twins keep their conflict of isolation and separateness while the mystery twins keep their conflict of togetherness (mabel pushing dipper in was an accident, and she worked around the clock to bring him back. it wasn't a bad reunion like the stan twins)

anyways. my god i didn't even consider the mystery twins leaving conflict becoming the stan twins leaving conflict and how well that goes.....that's so owie...like it goes so well too cause it still makes ford confront his isolation and how little he knows about stan but obviously on a much smaller scale this time (he probably didn't accompany stan on as many adventures near the end of the summer due to bill trying to keep him isolated)

kiawren things that may add some plot to our relationship: (becuz to me we both like each other too much and are so perfect for each other we already know we're in love and get together so early like I Know it's not realistic but really I don't see how it'd drag out becuz I'm not stupid and I'd realise he likes me becuz he's not exactly good at hiding it so it wouldn't even be mutual pining for long lol)

– wren confessed his crush first (very in character of me becuz I get infatuated too easily), and kia/we says sorry he doesn't like them and has responsibilities to focus on, but they stay good friends. And then he falls for wren

– if we continue with the above, kia/we later asks wren if they view him still as a crush or a friend, and wren replies friend but he actually still adores kia/we, but kia/wes like ok he doesnt like me. And doesn't confess (he would've if wren said he still likes him)

– but then again im not that oblivious I feel like I can easily tell if kia/we likes me 😭 so thats fun to think about but it's not how the relationship 'canonly' mainly goes

– trans guy kia/we who wasn't sure that he was gay (didn't even like anyone legitimately till wren), when he transitioned he just took on an assumed transhet identity. and was conflicted when he starts to like wren whos nonbinary transmasc but doesn't really pass so he was worried he doesnt see wren as the boy they identify as!

– if kia/we already knows he likes guys/masculine aligned people, then wren was worried he wasn't enough of a boy for kia/we to reciprocate (actual thing that I thought of alot when I had an infatuation for a cis gay irl)

– over a vacation wren went back to whatever region they came from (idk poke/mon well enough outside of gen 7 my bad💀💀) and both of them were thinking whether it's a crush that'll pass over the month or two. (spoiler it didn't)

– well on the gender and sexuality thing maybe kia/we thought wren as someone who understands him in that aspect very well (since they're both transmasc, just to different extents) so he confused himself over whether it was like a special bond of solidarity and understanding or like. An actual crush (reminder he has not liked anyone so bad before. Or anyone for that matter. I still haven't really decided on that. I feel like he knows what love is cuz his parents are in love but never really had time to think abt it)

– wren isnt from alo/la right. He's there to study on conservation (my irl dream) and kia/we doesnt trust foreigners as seen in the first few eps. So he treats wren in a stern and a bit mean. kinda way. This is kinda important becuz if he didn't, wren would immediately be infatuated with him within like max 5 days. So to drag out the time they take to like each other kia/we has to warm up to wren and wren has to see him as actually not intimidating.

– it'll also be interesting if there were foreign students before and they did not care for alo/la's natural world as their academic intentions made them seem to. So kia/we had bad impressions of ppl coming to alo/la to help the region becuz he doesn't trust that they truly care for it. But wren really does and kia/we needs a bit of time to realise that. So he was initially really mean to wren lol, and unlike the shift in the canon show where kia/we quickly became a silly guy and wasn't mean anymore, here it was more gradual and so wren didnt like him that early on

– they were on the topic of dating before and wren said they didn't really like the idea of dating a schoolmate (once again, me irl, schoolmates suck) but that mostly applied for his school back home, not the smaller and more bonded class he was part of here in alola. And kia/we was like yeah I have lots of commitments too like my family, my training,... So they were both like yeah I don't think I'd date. So they were apprehensive on confessing to each other becuz they thought the other's answer was pretty much definitive. (but it completely changed later on solely becuz they really liked each other..!!)

Some other points of personality conflicts so they're not actually as perfect as I say they are lol

– I posted this before but wren (me irl) is kind of a germaphobe when it comes to their bedroom and some other routines in their life and kia/we is much less hygienic like basic hygiene ofc but he stays on a farm and sweats a lot and he sometimes lays down on his bed in between, or like before he sleeps he trains but he doesnt shower idfk in the games his bed literally smells like sweat. But anyway the point is wren got thrown off by kia/we like idk not washing his hands that much etc etc it's hard to say becuz I freak over 'germs' in specific places and circumstances only... but ajsksjkd I'm literally getting nowhere with this. I'm just saying they have to get used to each other here

– kiawe has 100 discipline responsibility commitment. wren has like 2. If we were to keep it realistic kia/we wouldn't be like head over heels for wren cuz he's really not perfect lol, all this comes to kia/we so naturally and. I kinda want to say he'd be annoyed that wren isn't like that but he also doesn't get annoyed at people's flaws. He understands them and helps them achieve their goals regardless.. but I still think it'd be tiring for him.. so I guess he'd want to help wren as more of a friend and it'd take a while to see them for their other strengths aside from yknow their work ethic that takes up a lot of what you see in someone and infer about them. What I mean is that I'm so non-committal but if someone were to like me. I guess it'd be more of the artistic and intellectual aspect? I hope........

i was reading yesterday the book TEACHER YES; AUNT, NO:LETTERS TO WHOEVER DARES TEACHINSTITUTRICE - Paulo freire and he said:

" Thinking about the intimate relationship between thinking, reading and writing and the need that we have to live this relationship intensely, I would suggest to anyone who wants to rigorously try it, at least three times a week, to give yourself the task of write something. (...) Nobody writes if they don't write, just as nobody swims if they don't swim. "

With that in mind im writting today... in english. See, I love writting about the world and about certain themes like why should the goverment spend money on education or the way of achieving a democratic way of living (I know this stuff in "boring" okay?) and I thought to myself: i need to get better at writting essays in english... . So here I am.

MASP and the art of being bold

I went to MASP ( Museum of Art of São Paulo) today and it went great, I absolutely loved the Gran Fury exhibition, I saw an exhibition of Masi Mamani / Bartolina Xixa and I realised that to make ART you have to be bold. By seeing this two films two parts of me entered in conflict: the one that is a pure artist and the one that is afraid of what others will say, think, react and do. How many times I saw a artist performing and being fragile in their own way and saw friends of mine, colleagues or strangers laughing, making fun of or/and mistreating them for being "strange"?

By seing this film I've realised that I have to "put my 'cara-tapa' " or "eat my hat " to make art, to make people feel. It is not because it's "strange" (in many quotes) that it is bad, being strange is the way humans are and that is beautiful and what make us humans.

The art of being bold/2

The museum have a "fix" art gallery that is separated from the exhibits, in this area is located a very large group of artists from around the world and it also the place that contains the famous ones like Van gogh, Anita Malfati, Monet and etc.

My main goal when I got there was see the parts that I haven't saw with time in mid 2021/2022. But what happened is that when I got into the first part my goal had changed, this was now seing all of the arts again with other perspective.

I was sedated with all of that art, it was like a medicine I should had taken it before, but then I got reflective (I always am lmao, don't mind me) I saw majority of people skipping the non-realistic or not half-realistic (i think i can call it that) arts

Note: It is important to highlight that people have different forms of appreciating art and im not criticizing the way people do this or the likings of people before saying what i need to say.

also the quantity of people seeing those types of art were abruptly smaller than the ones seeing paintings that were inspired by realism or were made in that time.

I started to notice that the amount of time I was spending in this types of art were small when you compare with the ones that follows another style.

Maybe I must be getting a little boring, i tought to my self, maybe I am thinking a little retrograde but if you want realism without any type of cientific research: take a picture! or smth idk

Ways of expressing art is different to everybody, it was a little hypocrite to think that way but what my revolt was really trying to say is that the society made us glorify only realistic arts in a way that everything that got out of this little metarphorical box was wrong and ugly. Out of the artist "bubble" the majority of artists that are seen like "the next big artist" or like "the most beautiful art of modern history" are realism artist (for non artists of course, one of the biggest artists in the world is a abstract artist). That is the way we're raised and to desconstruct that concept that we were build in is harsh.

For me as an artist i think it is way more difficult to make a piece that contains the feeling you're trying to pass than to make a realist painting, realism is something the art school teaches you, how to transfer your feelings to whoever you see isn't, it is life that does.

this is a painting that while i was passing by a couple where talking about how this painting looks too realistic and it is beautiful , differently from the others around there... that is the kind of thought that i was trying to explain, people tend to think that this kind of realistic style worth more attention than the other kind of styles. After becoming close friends with Hanse, your best friends beloved boyfriend, it was a natural occurance for you to hang out at the dorm even when your friend or Hanse wasn’t there. Most of the time you would be bored out of your mind and decide to drop by the dorm to kill some time playing games or stuffing your face with some unhealthy snacks Sejun always seems to have lying around. 

You would describe your relationship with Sejun as complicated. With the endless bickering, snarky comments and even some flirty teasing neither of you wanted to admit having feelings for the other. Funnily enough all the boys somehow knew and disapproved of your childish antics. The way he drove you mad just to see your reactions or the way you would steal his food just to spite him was both hilarious and kinda sad to the other boys.

Essentially it was supposed to be just another day with the boys when you decided to drop by their dorm after being invited to see the new game Subin bought recently. It had just been barely an hour that you came in with some pastries and coffee you bought for everyone and started playing Subin’s new 4 player game with Byungchan and Subin that Sejun started being annoying. He was putting in the extra effort that day for some reason you didn’t understand as he was trying to distract you or block your view of the TV to make you lose the game.

‘‘If you don’t cut that out I swear...’‘ you said while trying to push his arms away with your elbow. 

‘‘You’d do what? Beat me up?’‘ Sejun laughed. ‘‘We both know you can’t possibly hurt me Y/N.’‘ he said, you could feel the smirk on his face even when your eyes were glued to the screen.

‘’Can you two like confess to each other and date already so we don’t have go through a World War whenever Y/N comes around?’’ Byungchan said as he rolled his eyes disapprovingly.

‘‘Yeah you guys are so lame, acting like high school kids.’‘ Subin agreed with a laugh.

You could feel the embarrassment creeping up from within you but before you had the chance to deny their completely groundless accusations Sejun beat you to it.

‘’What the hell are you talking about?’’ Sejun smacked both of their heads lightly, his eyes getting big slightly from the shock of their bluntness and he continued; ‘’I only tease Y/N like that because I see her as one of the boys. Why would I like her, that’s ridiculous. But she probably has a crush on me. I mean I wouldn’t blame her.’’ 

You suddenly stopped the game and saw the most smug, unapologetic expression on this face. You were shocked and overwhelmed with different emotions as you registered what he just said and added the disturbing expression in your head. Anger and sadness started mixing up inside you as you wanted to yell at him and cuss him out but nothing was coming out of your mouth.

Byungchan and Subin stopped their game abrupty as well and stared at each other for a few seconds then immediately got up and left the living room as they anticipated the conflict that was about to occur.

Sejun’s expression changed from smug to concerned and then to apologetic as he was staring at you, waiting for what you had to say. After you suddenly stood up and started gathering your things Sejun realized the weight of his mistake. 

‘‘Hey Y/N it was a joke don’t leave ok?’‘ you barely heard him say with a small voice.

‘‘I’m leaving.’‘ that was all you said without even looking at his face as you strided to the door as fast as possible. Just as you quickly put your shoes on and opened the door you felt his hand on your forearm.

‘‘Y/N... I’m sorry.’‘ he said with a gentle tone. You couldn’t even bring yourself to turn around and look at him. Because if you did then all of the hurt he caused you would go away with one look and a simple apology.

This wasn’t the first time he made such comments in front of the boys. Whenever one of them would say something snarky about you two dating he would put all the blame on you and make it seem like you’re pining for him when he doesn’t even care about you. Even though it was always him initiating the teasing or picking fights with you out of nowhere.

‘‘Let go.’‘ you said while shaking his hand off and going out of the door without even glancing back. You just wanted to get home as soon as possible and deal with these ridiculous feelings Sejun always seems to cause you to have.

After hearing the door being slammed Byungchan and Subin came back to the living room to find a defeated Sejun, still staring at the door a little bit in shock of how fast things escalated.

‘‘You do realize you were an absolute dick right?’‘ Byungchan was the first one to speak.

‘‘Yeah hyung, why did you say those things? Don’t you like her?’‘ Subin continued, concerned.

‘‘I know, I know. I was an asshole. Hell, I am an asshole. I thought I was protecting our friendship when I denied all that you guys said. I thought things wouldn’t be the same between us once we cross that line... I was wrong.’’ Sejun said looking regretful.

He came to a sudden realization and started putting his shoes on getting ready to leave.

‘‘Where are you going?’‘ Byungchan asked.

‘‘I’m going after her. I’m gonna make it right and tell her the truth.’‘ Sejun said smiling slightly feeling hopeful.

Byungchan and Subin watched as Sejun took off in a rush with a sheepish grin on their faces as if to say ‘’It was about time’’.

You were in the process of making some hot chocolate to calm yourself down when you heard your door ring. When you looked through the peephole you found a panting Sejun, much to your dismay.

‘‘Come on Y/N! You need to hear me out. Please...’‘ you heard him say through the door, his voice getting smaller by the end.

You decided to open the door since he followed you all the way to your house. As soon as the door got opened Sejun rushed inside.

‘‘What the hell are you doing at my house Sejun?’‘ you spoke making eye contact with him for the first time since your conflict.

You could tell he noticed as his expression softened when he caught your gaze.

‘‘I’m here to apologize. Also to make this right.’’ he said, then pausing to take a deep breath he continued; ‘’I’m sorry Y/N, for treating you like that. I just didn’t want things to be awkward between us. I was being a selfish dick. You have every right to be mad at me. But I’ll make it up to you. You’ll see.’‘ by the end of his sentence that boyish smirk he always has when he challanges you was back with his cute dimples to accompany it.

Unvoluntarily your mouth started forming the shape of a smile and he caught it instantly.

‘‘You’re not mad at me anymore right?’‘ he said giving you a full display of his dimples, smiling from ear to ear. 

How could you stay mad at this ridiculously handsome fool, he knew exactly what he was doing to you. Suddenly realizing the power he holds over you, you decided to focus more on the hot chocolate you left unattended on the counter of your kitchen.

‘‘Hey, why are you ignoring me? I thought you weren’t mad at me anymore?’‘ he said while following you to the kitchen. You could see him pouting a little bit from the corner of your eye but you were not directly facing him.

‘‘But one thing I said there was true though. You really do like me.’‘ you could hear him smile through his voice during that last part even when you weren’t facing him.

‘‘How delusional are you Sejun? Not everyone in the World has a crush on you ok?’‘ you retorted back still not making direct eye contact.

Taking your indifference as a challenge Sejun decided to turn you around and put his face really close to yours to force you to look at him all the while having a sheepish grin on his face.

‘‘See! You like me. You can’t even look at me. I’ve never seen you avert your eyes from someone before.’‘ he said, getting even closer to your face and finally managing to make you look at him. 

With that last statement you realized that he was paying more attention to you than you thought. You stared at each other only for a few seconds, trying to read each others expressions. Unlike his previous sheepish grin Sejun looked somewhat serious which made you feel sort of confused. It was you who broke the trance first.

‘’No! I said I don’t like you!’’ You did the only thing you could think of and pushed him away, a little bit harshly. Which caused him to unwillingly take a few steps back from you. He seemed almost hurt and a little bit shocked about your reaction. But suddenly you saw his expression change from somewhat sad and confused to that cocky smirk you hated.

As if something inside of him snapped, he took quick strides towards you and took you by the waist. Without giving you time to react he placed his hands on the sides of your face and locked his lips to yours.

To say that you were shocked would be an understatement. Your brain was still registering what was going on while your body acted faster. One second Sejun was making fun of you for liking him and the next, he was kissing you. And you were kissing him back.

The only thing you could focus on was his warm lips feeling soft against your own. He was uncharacteristically being very gentle with you. You started to ease more into kiss, placing your hands on his shoulders while his hands rested on your waist, slowly pulling you more into himself. It was Sejun who pulled away first, wearing a warm smile this time instead of his previous smirk.

‘‘Why haven’t we done this before?’‘ he said still holding onto your waist and lightly laughing a little bit, which also made you giggle.

‘‘Oh, I don’t know, maybe because you’re a jerk?’‘ you replied suddenly feeling more confident.

Closing his eyes he bonded his lips with you again as if to shut you up. But this time it was more passionate than gentle. Your lips parted slightly, your tongue lightly touching his lower lip was like an invitation to go further so he deepened the kiss, allowing his tongue to dip into your mouth to blend with yours.

Now that your lips were moving in unison Sejun brought a feeling of urgency as his hands trailed on the sides of your arms. Things were getting more heated by the second as you completely abandoned all rational thought. Sejun was pulling you impossibly close to himself with one hand while his other hand was gently holding your neck. You felt a shiver going up your spine as you felt his large bulge poking you.

As you seperated for a second, seeing each other breathing heavily, hot and bothered, he suddenly lifted you up princess style.

‘‘Sejun! What are you doing?’‘ you giggled, almost getting high from the adrenalline.

He returned your laugh but replied back by kissing you again with even more fervor as he carried you to what he believed to be your bedroom.

‘’Sejun this is the bathroom! Bedroom is this way, god you’ve been in my house how many times already!’‘ you exclaimed while laughing, still giddy from all the excitement.

‘‘Well you could say that you take my breath away babe, I have lost my sense of direction.’‘ he replied winking at you and giving you a charming smile.

You lightly hit his chest and said; ‘’Ew! don’t say that!’’ making a disgusted face but failing to hide your smile.

Your lips locked again as if they stayed far apart for too long. You could tell you finally arrived to your bedroom but Sejun failed to turn you away at the right time while going through the door so your legs hit the door slightly earning a low ‘’OW!’’ from you.

‘‘Sorry, sorry my bad’‘ he said pulling back slightly with a smile then going back to kiss you again, wasting no time.

Sejun dropped you softly on your bed with a bouncy sound. Just as you thought he would jump on you he started staring at you for a little bit with a dreamy look on his face, seemingly mesmerized by what he was seeing.

‘‘What are you doing?’‘ you asked getting a bit self-conscious.

‘‘I’m just etching this memory into my mind. Enjoying it fully.’‘ he said smiling and showing his dimples again. He slowly started coming towards you on the bed while speaking with a soft seductive tone; ‘‘Look at you. So ready for me on your bed.’‘

You were starting to get more frustrated as Sejun climbed on top of you on the bed and removed your shirt leaving you only in your bra. The hungry look on his face as he stared at you was enough to drive you over the edge. You started toying with his shirt, wanting him to take it off too. But he caught your hands with his and said; 

‘‘If you want me to take my shirt off you have to earn it sweetheart.’‘ causing a low growl to escape from your lips making you more frustrated than you already were.

Resuming kissing once more, he pulled back for a second and muttered; ‘‘So beautiful.’‘ while staring directly at your dishevelled half naked state. Sejun pressed his lips against yours again, kissing you deeply. His hand started travelling from your shoulder to your chest. He was playing with the hook of your bra when you felt it coming off. His hands were now on your boobs, caressing them and massaging them, at the same time earning satisfied moans from you. Then his hand started travelling through your stomach making you shiver and rested on your hip, causing a small whimper to escape from your lips.

He suddenly pulled back and said; ‘‘Don’t expect me to hold back if you’re making sounds like that.’‘ with the most serious expression you had seen from him.

You weren’t used to this side of Sejun. He was usually silly and seeing him constantly stuffing his face with food every few hours, it was hard to take him seriously at times. However the Sejun in front of you, immediatelly asserting his dominance with the sultry look on his face was incredibly sexy.

Taking your silence as an agreement he proceeded to play with the waistband of your tiny pajama shorts while keeping his eyes on you the whole time. Your breath hitched as he pulled down your shorts with one swift motion, revealing your panties to display. You saw him take a big gulp as he gave you a once over, being sprawled out before him half naked, waiting to be devoured.

‘‘Fuck, you’re so pretty.’‘ he said suddenly. ‘‘And so wet for me already.’‘ he continued as his hands drew closer to the obvious dark spot on your panties.

‘‘I told you I’d make it up to you, didn’t I?’‘ he muttered, with a devilish look on his face.

Sejun’s fingers slowly parted your panties and slid between your legs causing you to softly moan at the feel of your wet with desire. “Mmmm,” you purred while enjoying the feel of his fingers sliding through your folds. Suddenly Sejun pulled both of your legs to himself and did a quick kitty lick at your slit which made you jump at the sudden contact of his tongue. You sucked in a slow breath feeling his warm tongue push into you. He was staring at you the whole time, eyes darkened with passion. 

You coudn’t help but moan his name while he was working his magic with his tongue. He was truly skilled at this. Watching your reactions carefully, he found the perfect spot to drive you wild and slowly added in a finger while his tongue continued to swirl around in your folds. Another moan escaped your lips with the growing ripple of heat radiating deep within your abdomen. ‘’I’m close Sejun, don’t stop.’’ you managed to get the words out barely.

Mikasa and Levi took the spotlight this week! 30.1% of viewers felt most hyped up by Mikasa’s “explosive” reintroduction to the anime, while 22.6% were stoked to see Levi take on Porco to save Eren. 18.3% were most hyped by the Survey Corps taking on the Jaw Titan and the subsequent cliffhanger.

THE CGI CONTINUES TO BE A POINT OF CONTENTION. BE HONEST, HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THE EXECUTION OF CGI SO FAR THIS SEASON? 93 Responses

Just under 50% of responses seemed to indicate that they thought MAPPA was doing very well with the CGI utilized. A little over 15% stated that although it was not their favorite, they understood that it could be a lot worse. Other responses (in order) were being neutral about the CGI, not liking it, but understanding the need for its usage and folks who adamantly rejected 3D animation. 

I actually prefer CGI titans because of the way their movements looks, it looks almost slower, to me it fits very well with how the big titans are. Im not an anime guy at all so ive never seen cgi in other anime but i really like the way Mappa's CGI looks, it blends in very well. I dont like CGI people though, the shot with Jean throwing the marly soldier off the rooftop i didn't like very much.

I feel horrible saying this believe me... but I really vibed with the CGI up until this episode. I think maybe because it's the first time its been used on humans (OPM) rather then titans. I'm not massively put off though, I really apreciate the efforts this episode must have taken. TY Mappa

The episode is great no doubt, my only concern is the CG personally, as a 3D artist myself, I think I would prefer an all 2D medium like the battle at Stohess. Using 3D is fine as long as it blends seamlessly to the background, like kengan ashura, it's not perfect but bearable.

I honestly think that 2D will always 100% be better than cgi but I can understand why mappa is using cgi

It was fine in the other episodes, but in this episode, it looked overused and bit bad

In relation to the previous question, we still haven’t seen 3 major members of the cast. Armin, Hange and Historia. When we asked which of the three you were most looking forward to seeing next, the slight majority (52.7%) expressed their excitement for seeing Armin again, followed by 11.8% wanting to see Hange most. Some others have also expressed their desire to see Historia again. 17.2% simply could not choose and 10.8% stated that they simply didn’t care about the 3 characters.

WHAT DID YOU THINK ABOUT THE WARHAMMER TITAN? 90 Responses

The Warhammer received an overwhelmingly positive response, with the majority expressing much excitement over both its design and powers. 15.6% noted that the design was a bit too creepy for their liking, but the powers were awesome. And on the flip side, 10% noted the Titan’s design was rather cool, in contrast to its rather OP ability. A select few did not enjoy either aspect. 

Would probably enjoy it more if it belonged to someone that likely is not going to be just cannon fodder

The Survey Corps returned sporting new uniforms to much fanfare. 30.4% of respondents really enjoy the upgrade, finding the suits to be badass. 23.9% couldn’t find the words and just settled for pure hype. 20.7% enjoy the new uniforms just as much as they enjoy the classic uniforms. 12% felt it was a much needed upgrade, though 10.9% don’t care at all about the uniform change.

EREN SAYS TO MIKASA, “YOU GUYS ACTUALLY CAME.” THIS IS FOLLOWED UP BY MIKASA ASKING EREN TO COME HOME. DOES THIS INSINUATE THAT EREN WENT TO THE MAINLAND ON HIS OWN? 90 Responses

The circumstances of the Survey Corps’ presence on the mainland continues to be a mystery. When we asked about whether Eren was there alone or not a few episodes ago, the majority believed that he was either there alongside the Survey Corps or was sent there by them. Overall, the feelings seem to be the same (that Eren came alongside the Survey Corps). 45.6% think that Mikasa’s words may have some other meaning and that things are way too planned out to be coincidence. 18.9% believe that Eren did go rogue, while 15.6% think that Eren didn’t necessarily go rogue, but wasn’t working with them for a while either. The remaining 20% have already been spoiled on this particular plot point.

THE ATTACK ON LIBERIO SEEMS TO PARALLEL THE BREACH OF SHIGANSHINA. HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THIS EVENT IN COMPARISON? 92 Responses

Now that both sides of the conflict have had their rude awakening, we asked how you guys felt about the two events comparatively. 33.7% feel that both attacks were tragic, but still feel more empathy toward the Eldians on Paradis than they do toward those who were raised on Marley. At a tie, 22.8% of respondents felt that the victims of the Liberio attack got what was coming with them, while another 22.8% felt about the same amount of sympathy for the victims on both sides. 10.9% feel this is way worse than what happened in Shiganshina and feel more sympathy for the victims in Liberio. 

I am yet to know the goals behind this attack.

Marley did this countless times so I don’t feel bad for them. I kind of feel for eldians tho bc they are brainwashed from a young age to give up their lives for a country who doesn’t give a shit about them. 

Honestly they deserve what Eren is doing to them. Excluding Falco, no one outside of Paradis has earned my sympathy, even with the additional context.

SADLY, UDO AND ZOFIA DID NOT SURVIVE THE ATTACK ON LIBERIO. HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THEIR DEATHS? 91 Responses

Udo and Zofia have joined the ranks of characters who tagged along with the main cast for a while only to be killed off for character development. 25.3% anticipated at least one of them to die, but not both. Another tie on this poll, 24.2% stated that they were disappointed and was hoping to see more of them, while another 24.2% didn’t care about them at all. 14.3% are happy to ditch the focus on them in favor of more familiar characters, and 8.8% feel pure and utter devastation.

EREN AND FLOCH’S LAST INTERACTION IN S3 WAS A VERY TENSE ARGUMENT. NOW IT SEEMS FLOCH IS DEDICATED TO EREN’S CALL TO ACTION, SHIFTING THE “NECESSARY DEVIL” STATUS FROM ERWIN ONTO HIM. WHAT DO YOU THINK THEIR RELATIONSHIP IS LIKE NOW? 91 Responses

Eren and Floch were anything but BFF’s at the closing of season 3. Now Floch seems to be wholly devoted to Eren’s cause… What changed? 28.6% believe that nothing has actually changed in terms of their relationship, but that Floch simply just latched onto Eren’s fight in need of a new devil. 23.1% feel that they still aren’t friends, but are in more comfortable “ally” territory. 15.4% aren’t sure what to make of it. Smaller handfuls feel that they either grew to become friends and/or co-conspired to attack Liberio together. 22% are already spoiled on the details. 

Floch is easily persuaded...and annoying 🤷‍♀️

WE SEE GABI GRAB THE GUARD’S FUN AFTER WITNESSING SASHA KILL HIM. WHAT DO YOU THINK MIGHT HAPPEN? 90 Responses

Gabi moves headstrong into the fight, wanting to play her part in defending her hometown. A large chunk of anime only viewers have been spoiled on future developments for her character. But for those still in the dark - 24.4% feel that she will successfully kill a member of the Survey Corps. 21.1% aren’t sure what to expect, while 10% think she will only manage to injure someone in the Survey Corps. Smaller amounts feel she won’t be successful in any capacity or may even die herself.

ADDITIONAL THOUGHTS ON THE EPISODE?

Epic episode, survey corps come back, OH YEAH, but I wished they didn’t use CGI on humans and bettered the CGI on Titans.

It really makes me sad how Eren is continuing the cycle of revenge by killing innocent Marleyan civilians, but it makes sense for his character.

I think I need more dialogue between the old crew to really settle back in with them. I kinda believe that Mappa's still trying to 'click', they obviously can't just get it right immediately. Other then that I loved the titan scenes, more than ODM scenes 😔

This was a great episode and I was literally vibrating in my seat from excitement! I think MAPPA is doing a great job with the animation and the music works really well with the action. Can’t wait for the rest of the season!

gonna rant about sanders sides plot bc i think about it all the time and need an outlet okay here we go. this got super long so most of it is under the cut.

fyi: i talk a lot about patton and virgil and how theyre doing. i dont think i paint either of them negatively and if i did its not on purpose bc i love them both but just be aware!! also this is just my interpretations/predictions and i wanted to share but its not The Only Acceptable Interpretation and if u disagree then obviously thats fine lol

so i keep thinking about the conflict between virgil and patton. clearly something is weird. i think it probably started when virgil asked patton to stop treating him like “some innocent harmless angel” at the end of LNTAO.

i actually think this was a good interaction—virgil was trying not to hurt patton’s feelings but also was expressing something he was uncomfortable with and he succeeded in my opinion. and patton doesn’t argue, just immediately goes “okay, virgil!” like he says his name, no nickname, no kiddo. he starts trying instantly to check himself and respect virgil’s wishes.

then in embarrassing phases their interactions seem a little more...tense? i’ll list the ones that stick out bc lists are Fun:

patton fakes being scared. virgil: “don’t patronize me” patton: “you mean pantronize” virgil: “whatever!!”

patton corrects himself from saying “bat winged cherub” to “bad....boy” while virgil shoots him a look like we just talked about this

virgil’s talking about how his style is a relic from thomas’ emo phase. patton: “we’re basically style twins!! look out just a couple of cool guys comin thru!” virgil: “okay, patton” patton: “um! sorry...”

virgil seems aggravated, probably bc patton is still treating him like a poor lil anxious baby when the whole point of this episode was virgil showing that they can’t just ignore his role as anxiety. they may be friends now but virgil’s past attitude is still part of him. one could say he doesnt want them to ignore the “dark side” of his presence. wink wink. this could be him maybe building up to revealing that he used to be a dark side, subtly preparing thomas for it.

then SvS. patton and virgil don’t interact directly except at the start and during the trial, but it doesn’t seem as strained. this is probably because theyre both on the same side when it comes to deceit—and i think thats important. in svs, both patton and virgil are anti-deceit, and like patton pointed out in LNTAO, “anxiety and morality are telling you the same thing,” which seems to signal to thomas that he should listen.

also in SvS, janus alludes to the fact that virgil was a dark side and is hiding it:

“so you’ve never been reluctant to share anything with the group?”

“dont.”

“what, i just meant your name!”

“dont.”

“maybe that’s why its so easy for you to see me for what i am! like i said before, it takes a liar to know a liar.”

i’m 90% sure he didn’t just mean virgil’s name. virgil is clearly distraught about where this conversation is headed and that just doesn’t line up with him being hesitant to share his name. his fears over his dark persona and reluctance to share his name have been addressed multiple times, so what does he have to be scared of? unless janus is talking about virgil being a dark side.

moving on! in DWIT, again, theyre both kinda anti-remus. theyre both afraid of him, and as logan points out, theyre both part of why remus is so powerful as intrusive thoughts. they dont argue much; virgil spends most of this ep arguing with logan, actually, which is interesting bc he and logan seem to have one of the closest friendships in the show.

in this episode, there’s a few final pushed that i think lead virgil to confess he was a dark side.

first remus reveals his own name and says “i would never hide anything from you!” and sends virgil a little glance. virgil looks uncomfortable. then, around the 31 minute mark, logan says “you can always talk to someone...subjects who talked about their thoughts often felt better emotionally and physically.” and you can see virgil looking around like he’s realizing something.

and then he reveals himself at the end of this episode. just to thomas, but i’m assuming all the other sides would know as soon as thomas himself does, right? if they didn’t know already. what sticks out to me is that he specifically waits until the others leave. he doesn’t want to say it directly to them. and as for how this connects to the patton-virgil stuff...patton might think virgil doesn’t trust him/doesn’t want to open up to him. and/or virgil actually doesn’t want to open up to patton as much anymore.

then in healthy distractions, we clearly see that something is up between virgil and patton.

patton: “how could he feel b-a-d with his inner d-a-d?” virgil: “i can think of a few ways”

patton: “thomas made his decision and i think we should all just try to settle into it” virgil: “how are you telling me to settle into something right now when you have taken your sweet time to settle into things that you were uncomfortable with in the past”

so honestly i don’t really know what virgil’s talking about?? does he mean the events of moving on and the whole breakup situation?? or maybe he’s calling patton out for taking so long to drop the “angel baby” nicknames/treatment. or its implying that patton didnt know virgil was a dark side and is still coming to terms with it/coming to terms with the fact that virgil didn’t want to tell him & the other sides directly.

or he’s referencing something we don’t know of. either way, their relationship is obviously strained rn and it isn’t entirely clear what the turning point was between DWIT and ATHD.

then we come to the new episode. virgil doesn’t appear in POF at all, not even a cameo. i think thats the first time this has happened since accepting anxiety part 1. the only reference to him is the purple time-clock during the mario sequence and other smaller inclusions in the other video game parts. and then what happens in this episode?

patton realizes selfishness can be good sometimes. he accepts that the world, and thomas’ view of it, are not as black-and-white as he wanted to believe in svs. it wasnt a matter of “callback = bad vs wedding = good” bc thats not how the world works. beyond that, he accepts janus.

and i’m gonna bring up the idea that virgil is super mean and gets away with it. its true that the other sides, especially patton, are hesitant to correct him or reprimand him, which i think is bc theyre afraid of making him think they hate him. this idea could even be in the forefront of their minds if they really are that impacted by virgil not telling them he’s a dark side.

the thing is...virgil IS mean sometimes and he DOES get away with it. often, its just directed at janus or remus, and the other sides don’t WANT to disagree. when its directed at the other sides, i’m not sure its taken entirely to heart, regardless of whether it should be or not.

and we all know how virgil feels about janus. suspicion, anger, and aggression are all things virgil expresses towards janus from the moment he appeared as patton in CLBG.

so this all has been building up to me saying that the virgil-patton conflict has now become a virgil-patton-janus conflict. virgil and janus’ past is going to clash with patton and janus’ new alliance, which will strain the already tense relationship between virgil and patton. even worse, now roman is firmly in the anti-janus field, which will likely feed virgil’s anger, especially if he also blames patton for hurting roman.

and if we DO go to roman’s room next, and janus shows up, and the situation worsens...we might have a full blown “patton & janus vs virgil & roman” level argument on our hands.

i think virgil’s gonna be aggressive towards janus, as he has been, but when thomas and patton don’t dismiss him—when they call him by his NAME, not just “deceit”—we’re gonna get a rehash of “are you seriously siding with deceit?” except this time roman won’t be the one saying “are you seriously so closed minded to think that everything said by someone you dont like is automatically untrue?”

the other sides—or patton and thomas at the very least—are going to see that virgil’s blatant dislike of janus is not entirely warranted. and keep in mind that we still don’t know what happened between virgil and janus to make virgil hate him, so maybe it IS warranted. but its clear now that janus is trying to help (assuming he’s not lying which i rly hope he’s not lol) and i dont think its fair to thomas for virgil to want to disregard everything janus says. thomas and patton will realize this and they’ll have to confront virgil about his treatment of janus. we just haven’t gotten there yet.

its gonna be wild, honestly. i want janus to be fully accepted but it might be a while until we get there, just like patton took a while to understand the whole “grayscale morality” idea, and how its probably gonna take a while for virgil (and janus, tbh) to move on from whatever happened between them in the past.

i also believe this is headed towards a sympathetic everyone ending where theyre all important to thomas, acknowledged by him as important, and all actively working together, no dark sides or light sides, just sides. so yeah

basically, the next few episodes will probably be an explosion of all these char tensions and its probably gonna get worse before it gets better, and thats not even considering logan angst, creativitwins angst, or the orange side. but i think (and hope) it’ll all be fine and im hyped to see where this series goes :p

▸     DO    THEY    SPEND    A    LOT    OF    TIME    ON    THEIR    HAIR     /    GROOMING ? he spends less time on it than people might think he does.  a lot is available to him now that he lives in auradon, obviously, by way of hair care and general grooming products, but for a large majority of his life he didn’t have easy access to those things and when he came over he never really got into the habit.  he washes it every couple days and lets it air dry and will often have it in some sort of half up half down style, but that’s more for convenience because he’s moving around a lot and it gets in his face.

▸      WHAT    ARE    SOME    OF    YOUR    MUSE’S    BAD    HABITS ? jay is made up of oh so many bad habits. some are obvious and some are ... smaller, i think, but obvious if you’re close to him.  he’s very ... aggressive, and that’s something that he helps keep in check through tourney, ROAR and boxing when he has the time, but he does have a hard time even in auradon not responding to things with violence.  he strays away from using his words because it’s hard for him and tends to be flighty when confronted with the need to talk in a deeper sense unless someone or something is around to keep him there.  one of his greater loves coming to auradon is their wide array of energy drinks, which he often uses to offset his bad sleeping patterns. additionally, and again something that gets slightly better when he’s been in auradon for a while but still ... lingers, is a tendency to actively try and goad people into fighting with him when he’s in a bad mood.

▸      HAS    YOUR    MUSE    LOST    ANYONE    CLOSE    TO    THEM ?      HOW    HAS    IT    AFFECTED    THEM ? jay’s definitely seen loss but for the most part it’s been seeing and experiencing it rather distantly.  on the isle i think it’s almost impossible to avoid death entirely even from a young age, but up until the core four jay was a very lone wolf type of person.  he wasn’t particularly close to anyone, so no one’s loss ... bothered him all that much.  i think, to begin with, not being close to anyone was as much of convenience as it was purposeful in the sense that he knew getting close to people when they were so easy to lose was dangerous on top of already living a lifestyle where he didn’t feel he had the time or necessity to have stronger relationships.  i guess he hasn’t really lost anyone close to him because prior to mal, carlos, and evie, he hadn’t allowed anyone to be that close.

▸      WHAT    ARE    SOME    FOND    MEMORIES    YOUR    MUSE    HAS ? very ... very few of jay’s fond memories happened pre arriving to auradon.  he really didn’t have ... people on the isle, even his relationship with the core four was fairly new before coming to auradon.  most of his pre auradon fond memories involve stealing something and very slimly getting away with it, the rush that comes with almost getting caught but not quite. in auradon, though, he has good memories of post game celebrations with the team, dragging carlos out of the room late at night ‘cause he’s a pest and felt jittery. letting evie put his hair into some braid over breakfast because he got less sleep than usual and felt lazy.

▸     IS    IT    EASY    FOR    YOUR    MUSE    TO    KILL ? i think for the most part, yes.  maybe not easy in the simplest form of the word, because i do think he’d think about it after and wonder if he could’ve done something different. i don’t think it weighs on him for long, though, assuming it’s in cases where he feels like it was what he needed to do.  he had to look out for himself for a very long time  !!  the isle is a hard place to live in  !!  and then when he made his few friends they became people he also felt the need to look out for, regardless of the detriment to others outside of them.  i think there’s also a big part of him that fits well into a protector role because these things are ones he could ... shoulder easier than his friends could in an emotional sense. lastly, i feel like because what jay primarily did on the isle was stealing it’s easy to forget that he both has a hot temper and is pretty prone to violence. 

▸      WHAT’S    IT    LIKE    WHEN    YOUR    MUSE    BREAKS    DOWN ? when he does break down it’s a very solitary affair because he tends to be very loose with his mouth and let anger get the best of him when he’s in a big emotional state.  none of which are things he cares to take out on anyone close to him, and then everyone else he’s not worried about so much as he doesn’t want to be seen as vulnerable.  he gets overly punchy and his words tend to carry more bite than usual. 

▸      IS    YOUR    MUSE    CAPABLE    OF    TRUSTING    SOMEONE    WITH    THEIR    LIFE ? yes  !!  it’s a hard thing to get around to with him, though, i think he trusts all the core four with his life and maybe ben as well but beyond that  !!  :man gesturing no emoji:

▸      WHAT’S    YOUR    MUSE    LIKE    WHEN    THEY’RE    IN    LOVE ? i think he is ... a lot of the same  !!  very loyal and very fun and very warm  !!  i think being in a relationship with him, in some ways, is pretty similar to being close with him in general.  a lot of what comes with it that doesn’t come to everyone is the same by way of him being ... gentler,  in a way  ??  not always, but more willing to be gentle, to step out of his comfort zone to like ... adjust to whoever else is in his life.  i don’t think he’s overtly much different with significant others, though.

Talking about Mack and Pepper and their whole relationship arc I wanna get all my thoughts on them organized...its long but i think its p good

they met at a pop-up party when pepper was 18 and mack was 19...pepper was like wooOOAAAHAHAHHFGJDK like she couldn’t handle how pretty mack was she was head over heels. she was rly shy around her but mack was friendly and invited her to dance and they hung out till the party stopped and mack rode away with the party crew. pepper was like holy shit i gotta. date her

they got closer over time, becoming better and better friends, hanging out with their friend group but also by themselves in the bar pepper likes to hang in or mack’s pod or whatever. pepper is just falling so in love with her but shes kinda starting to think that mack isn’t interested/out of her league so shes like..internally conflicted. meanwhile mack does think pepper is cute and sweet but knows that pepper is more interested in long term stuff while mack is way more into flings, one nighters, casual stuff yknow. so she doesn’t wanna lead her on or get wrapped up in some messy relationship stuff. she DOES like pepper tho and is frustrated that shes like...one troll that she feels like she can’t get her player hands on

eventually pepper is just losing her mind like she has been pining for this one girl for YEARS, she is 22 and needs to either MOVE ON or ASK HER OUT and she knows she doesnt wanna move on so shes like “HAHA hey....do u wanna.....get beer and nachos tonight at the bar with me........” and mack is like sure lol because they do that like all the time and pepper is like OH WOW....SHE SAID YES not at all aware that mack thinks this is just another friend thing

so theyre at the bar eating and drinking watching the other trolls doing karaoke and mack is chillin but pepper is freaking....and mack is like lol are u okay whats up and pepper is like uhhhhhdfgfbhjdsfnvd WANT ANOTHER ROUND??? ALSO LETS GO DANCE!! and mack is like lol sure.. mack can hold her alcohol p well but pepper is a lot smaller so mack is like girl u need to chill ur gonna get Sloppy and pepper starts to kinda ramble about her gay ass feelings but only vaguely and mack thinks its rly cute and funny cuz she’s like at the same level of buzzed as pepper so theyre like hee hawing it up and pepper is like do u uhhhhhhh wanna get outta here and tipsy mack goes against her better judgement and is like sure lets chill at my pod lol

next morning mack wakes up and there is a snoring pepper in her bed and mack is like oh fuck what have i done. jesus. she like freaking but before she can skedaddle pepper wakes up and shes like starry eyed, rambling about how awesome last night was, telling mack how amazing and smart and pretty pepper thinks she is, all this gushy stuff and mack is like....smiling but super stressed like oh fuck what have i done to this poor girl,, and finally pepper is like “uhmm do u wanna like....be girlfriends....i would love to be ur girlfriend i actually love you so much and i have for years” and mack is like SCREECHING internally and she just kinda. blurts out “no” and pepper is immediately floored like punch to the gut levels of unexpected replies

mack tries to explain that last night was a mistake and that she knew that pepper had a crush on her but didnt think she was THIS into her and now mack feels rly bad about getting her hopes up with last night, she wasnt thinking straight, she regrets it, shes not interested in anything long term, she thinks pepper is awesome, but she just doesnt think they want the same things in life rn. pepper is like dying inside the whole time and starts like SOBBING and mack is like aaaaa im rly sorry i dont know,, what to do,, she just kinda sits there awkwardly cause she doesnt know how to help and shes rly not used to being in this kind of situation where she feels so unsure of herself. pepper is like im just. gonna go im so fuckin sorry and mack is just like fgjhkhjhk....ok later,,

while pepper is trying to pull herself together mack is back on her fling thing but shes like....not rly getting the same satisfaction as she was before? like its not as fun, it feels weird. shes frustrated and is starting to regret her regret and is like hghgngh....i miss?? pepper?? shes like dammit i rly messed up but she also doesnt wanna be jerking pepper around by her heartstrings so shes conflicted as to what to do.. but then she sees how hard pepper is taking it like she even had a pop up party organized to be right where she knew pepper would be, at the bar, and she is like horrified that pepper did not move from her seat the whole time like she could care less, it even seemed to make her feel worse?? mack is just like holy hell what have i done to this poor troll

eventually mack can absolutely not stand seeing pepper looking so almost grey and depressed or hearing her sing her sad fuckin songs (especially uhhhh this one,,) and she sends her an invitation to a sleepover, something they used to do all the time when they were close, and pepper is like hgjfd...Big Sad but she decides to go. she wants to maybe try and rekindle whatever friendship she can even if it might be awkward at first

when she gets to mack’s pod pepper is like shocked to see mack with tears in her eyes and shes looking kinda frantic and is just like “PEPPER I RLY DONT....GET IT....IDK WHATS GOING ON” and pepper is like ???? are u okay omg whats the matter and mack goes on about how she feels like shes missing something and shes not having as much fun with her one night stands and everything just feels weird and off and she hates feeling like this and she hates seeing pepper so broken hearted and shes just REALLY SORRY ABOUT EVERYTHING and pepper is like u dont have to be sorry for how u feel if u dont wanna be with me u dont have to be and mack is like UR SO ADORABLY OBLIVIOUS I FEEL WEIRD BECAUSE I DONT WANT OTHER TROLLS ANYMORE I JUST!! WANT U!! and pepper is just. feeling a lot and shes like bhfgjdfgjkds what. huh. but. and mack is just. apologizing profusely and hugging pepper and pepper is so confused and startled cuz mack is acting so out of character but shes also rly excited and happy because!! mack likes her back!! and after a lot of talking things out and mutual crying they decide to try being exclusive girlfriends and just kinda take things chill. mack still kinda struggles to adjust to this big change to her lifestyle but shes also rly happy with pepper, who is ecstatic to be with mack FINALLY and is just loving her to bits, they love each other so much, everything is good, lesbians.

Quick TDP Theories

im only writing these down to see how the story unfolds. please, watch the dragon prince if you have 3 and a half hours to kill. tell your friends! its a great series~ and feel free to ponder these theories!

okay! starting from the more weakest to the more strongest theories! (theyre all pretty weak but this is fun)

1. A group of fanatic elves WERE planning on using the egg as a weapon.

yeah, yeah, there’s isn’t much to defend this other than viren’s word but hear me out. harrow does have a point in saying dark magic is the real problem here; the conflict between human and elf does stem from it. the thing i find so interesting is how elves found dark magic to be so evil that they thought the appropriate thing to do was push humans away and isolate them from a rich, bountiful land of primal energy. 

given several thousands of years to nurture hostility towards humans, i imagine there may be a good amount of elves who see themselves as better than humans, maybe even growing fed up with their constant back and forth fights.

it wouldnt be too hard to believe a group of elves found opportunity in the birth of the dragon prince to finally get rid of humans. (i think it would be more thematically appropriate if they were willing to use dark magic to destroy humans; both enticing the idea of “killing you with your own creation” and “not even elves are immune to the temptation of dark magic”)

but anyways, a certain high mage could have caught wind of this idea and went “thats a nice plan you have there, would be a shame if i stole your idea and the egg”

2. Amaya and Sarai are decedents of a mage.

It isn’t too far fetched to believe mage powers skip generations, and many lines of families may have lost knowledge of their lineage. i imagine mages are sparse in the human kingdoms with how little primal energy they can access.

so why assume amaya and sarai are related to a mage in their ancestry? well, its a little peculiar that callum can use magic AND ezran can speak with animals. i know many people assume callum’s father is either an elf or a mage himself, but both callum and ez have a set of unique abilities, and their only commonality is their mother. 

it has me believing one of two things: mage powers skipped amaya’s and sarai’s generation entirely, or, like ez, sarai had some smaller, unique ability that we might learn later on (maybe in a certain letter~)

3. Viren: What was once good intentions turned into fanatic ambition.

i’m very passionate about this theory. when you take the time to really pay attention to viren’s actions, how harrow talks about their relationship and how the TDP team talks about viren, you don’t really get the vibes that this guy was always a two faced villain. more a man passionate about his goals.

so what happened to him? hm? why did viren do a total 180 kick flip into villainy? WAS the original dark mage in pip this whole time???

as much as i adore the charm of that theory i dont think so. according to aaron ehasz (from the live commentary) viren and harrow have known each other for a long time, estimated since childhood. that’s enough to nurture a deep trust between the two and it gives a lot of weight to their interactions. but gabi, WAS viren just planning this whole thing from the get-go? i think its more complicated than “viren was always manipulative from the start”. from what harrow tells us, both men seem to have encouraged each other to do what was necessary for the kingdom; the only difference is viren still believes they made the right decisions and harrow does not.

regardless of whether harrow did die or is now in pip’s body, there’s one thing for sure; viren is still very driven by his goals, almost fanatic about it now. with harrow unable to really do anything to stop viren’s agenda, its enough to make him tip his morally gray values into the more darker/borderline villainous region. especially if he’s been planning an assault since a certain egg was taken by the dragons.

(ps: i fully believe viren wants xadia, i dont think he cares much to rule over the kingdom of katolis but it has resources that can get him xadia.)

JUST FINISHED GRAVITY FALLS

weirdmageddon was amazing! FAR better than most finales tend to be.

i wanted to know what the zodiac thing was all about though... i’d never seen it before but it was obviously important to the fans who had theorised about it.... couldnt we at least see what it would have done???? it didn’t have to be the final conflict!

ANYWAY i dont have as much to say about gravity falls as adventure time for obvious reasons so im going to rank it... Without further ado, it’s time to heavily overthink about cartoons!!!

Animation: 5 out of 5 hats - this is one of the most BRILLIANTLY ANIMATED childrens cartoon shows ive seen. there’s no weird inbetweens, the lighting for each scene is absolutely spot-on, it looks and feels amazing! honestly gravity falls looks like one of the strongest arguments for using script-driven shows instead of storyboard-driven shows, because cartoon network has never in its life produced something that looks this good.  When it used 3D CGI it was implemented smoothly. The characters had no absence of body language and cues either, it was never boring to look at. Disney does it again!!!

Humor: 4 out of 5 hats - While I dont think this show is the literal funniest thing I’ve ever watched, it is consistently entertaining throughout the entire series which is more than I can say for the two cartoons (AT and SU) that i’m unfairly comparing it to. Humor is one of GF’s strongpoints, because the jokes it throws at you out of complete nowhere will always have you on ground. I laughed SO hard during this marathon, and the jokes are obscure enough that I’ll probably do the same thing on a rewatch. The animation helps significantly too. The character designs alone, especially Mabel and her sweaters, allow for plenty of visual humor. Soos is the sort of character that you dont know what hes going to do next. Grunkle Stan conning people got some of the hardest laughs out of me. Wendy is just.... Wendy reminds me so hard of early Marceline, except she will occasionally do something really cool cos shes from a family of lumberjacks. Let’s not forget Waddles, the MVP in the humor department.

Story: 3 out of 5 hats - If I made this post yesterday, I’d have ranked it 2 out of 5 hats. I never felt that there was any “story” to gravity falls, only some kind of ARG that added nothing to the experience because none of the questions were solvable until the answers had been revealed. But the second half of season 2 ups the ante on story by focusing on the Pines family and their relationships to each other, and you can feel tension rise especially when Dipper starts to hang aound Ford a little too much and you sense that poor Mabel is gonna be left in the dust just like Stan before her. Weirdmageddon also was way more entertaining than I expected! And how it ENDED? Oh jesus! The show’s final scenes were heartbreaking, if I’d been following for longer I might have started crying.

Characterisation: 4 out of 5 hats- holy crap, it’s just so much fun seeing the Pines family play off of each other. Each group has an entertaining dynamic, whether it’s playful like Mabel, Soos, and Wendy’s shenanigans, or more serious like Stan and Ford’s conflict. There was barely any time throughout the entire series that I was annoyed by how someone was acting, or thought that it was out of place and agitating. I think I might be giving this point a rather generous score because of how feelgood it was, rather than complex or deep, which in many areas it wasnt. For example earlier in the show the conflicts felt dumb, like the Jurassic Park episode where everyone was acting vaguely out of character to cause a sense of drama? idk. But later on it got more heartfelt, if predictable. Where else do I think it can do better?

Worldbuilding: 2 out of 5 hats - Yep, the area where I think Gravity Falls does the worst is worldbuilding. For 2 big reasons: The wasted potential of Gravity Falls itself, and the way its inhabitants were used. Maybe I’m just spoilt by the AMAZING job Adventure Time and Steven Universe do with this, but the land of Gravity Falls fails to be as interesting as Ooo or as realistic as Beach City. Idk, i think it’s more ENTERTAINING than Beach City but more because I get more laughs out of the show than recent SU. The issue with Gravity Falls’ civilians is that unless you’re a Pines, youre a straight up Cartoon Character. That rules your characterisation and your purpose for existence. This is fine and yes there are some memorable characters but they never have those hilarious moments of humanity, like the episode Root Beer Guy where the title character gets into conflict with his wife cos she thinks hes too involved with his actual realistic mystery novels, or the Graybles ep where Starchy ran away from the candy kingdom to get rid of a tracker in his tooth cos he knows  PB was spying on him, and he runs a little club conspiring against her like some kind of real life political group. His club and Kim Kil Whan having King of Ooo memorabilia lmao. I’m getting too into this but its moments like that which make Adventure Time feel great. 

As for GRAVITY FALLS ITSELF, yeah because the world doesn’t feel as real as it could be I never wanted to see what it had to offer next, and there’s never explanation for all of this. The journals play a much smaller role in the series than Dipper’s reactions over them would have you think. The closest thing to an explanation is the pondering over whether a spaceship caused the weirdness in GF or was drawn to the area because of this weirdness. But is it magic? Is it science? Is it different dimensions? Fuck knows! Is there any hint about the truth? I’m not sure! Yeah, not all things need to have answers, but it helps fire off the thinkpan. In Adventure Time the Land of Ooo’s weirdness is linked to an apocalypse that helped bring magic back to the land. The hint is that the magic potential was always there, because there were magical societies around millenia before humanity. Did magic disappear because of a comet hitting the planet? Is magic actually based on scientific principles? Like GF, not all these questions have direct answers, but unlike GF, you have enough incentive and evidence to construct your own theories. It lets you get absorbed in the lore of Ooo, of the characters inhibiting it. This is my own perspective anyway. 

I think the most amazing mysteries I ever saw unwravel were Simon and Marcy’s adventures, and more relevant to my own experiences, PB’s age. Like there was puzzle pieces and hints around indicating Peebles had been around way longer than 18 years or whatever but we finally got confirmation in Season 5.2 where we saw consecutive episodes showing her in the past. The theory was that she was younger than 1000, but could be any age older than about 50. The Vault was a shock origin story for not just Finn having had a past life as a girl without an arm (THE ARM BEING ANOTHER ADVENTURE TIME THING THAT EVENTUALLY GOT some really back and forth PAYOFF), it was an origin story for peebles and the candy kingdom! but why would she make it?? ? yeah this was all stuff we were able to construct theories for, and accurate theories, because the evidence was there and more significantly the Writers were putting it together at the same time. It almost felt like we were having an INPUT in the story because of this natural way it evolved over time. That’s why AT’s mysteries are far more engaging than those of Gravity Falls, at least for me.... but maybe the same thing happened to GF fans????? Because I wasn’t there to put the pieces together, to study the Pines family or the Bill Zodiac which.... was almost as much a copout as Finn’s arm but its ok cos the stan deleting his memories shit was a decent end anyway. I just dont know why theyd  put a mystery like that IN there if it was always going to be a red herring???

To conclude this description which..... ended up being another reason to talk about Adventure Time again, I want you to know that I REALLY enjoyed Gravity Falls. It reminded me of Over the Garden Wall in how it’s told, the characters it has, but much larger and grander than OtgW ever was. 

My favourite characters were Stan and Mabel. Yeah, Dipper and Ford were very interesting characters too, but while they’re among the top of their trope, they still feel like an overdone trope to me.... especially dipper and his Issues,,, Stan meanwhile I liked that he was a runaway fuckup nobody as a child who became a professional conman after his parents kicked him out. That was an interesting backstory.  

Gravity Falls, all in All, gets 3.5 out of 5 hats. To keep it real. Spend them wisely.

EPISODE 2 “Let Me Go Get Some Pants On” Junior

So Mist was the first boot, and I'm sittin here just thanking god that it wasn't me.  Now to slay only 24 other fools!

So that first round was SO MUCH FUN! So much happened and I love and adore each and every one of my tribemate <3 <3 oh fuck I'm not a hero Honestly, these people are very hard to talk to and everything feels forced, but thanks to Jonathan calling out Kage for his creepy stalking antics, I think I've made a new friend! Because all friendships are founded on hate for another person! <3 now im just hoping junior doesnt mcfuck up so that I get another day of relaxation

okay so everything is going well, I heckin love my mini alliance with Linus, Kage, Alex and Tommy. I mean I talk more to Alex and Kage but this alliance is cute and I am glad to be part of something so soon in the game. Hopefully this works out. Anyways, rn Junior and some Ashton guy are seeing how long they can stand. Will this challenge take 72 hours? Possibly. Do I believe in Junior? Of heckin course. 

So I am not the first honorary 26th placer or TS! However, I'm mad because we voted out a potential ally in Mist and it's all because Alex Crooks is being... himself. Like I'm starting to like him yeah but he's being too controlling over things. He got the Malaysians together with the Solomons minus Steffen but like. Why vote out Mist? I'm just getting a little frustrated because Pippa and Alex are like, becoming this horrifying power couple thing since they're both theater nerds and I'm like! Pippa! Game now dick later! If those 2 continue to control things then Crooks gotta go. Sorry Peepo <3 Anyway Ashton did THAT for us in this duels of duality thing so yay Ashton. I wanna keep him around as a number for myself so this is good, and now the lowest I can officially get is 24th :~) I just need Steffen out of here. But now Isaac is saying he would like Drew out more just because Steffen trusted him with the whole extra vote and I'm like okay? Whom care? He might trust you but this is what Steffen does every game. People just say oh we'll get him next time. Oh we'll get him next time. Oh we'll get him next time UNTIL it's like 10 more rounds in and then he fucks you over. So I'm not having it! Maybe I can plant little anti-Steffen seeds in people like Ashton, Trace, and Dom. Maybe Ruthie too depending on how close we think she is to Steffen. I just want to take the people out that I think will benefit me in the long run. And yes one of those people will be Drew, but I realize I'm being a hypocrite because Drew does the same thing Steffen does but right now we have a majority alliance with Drew so taking out Steffen over a number that will potentially hurt us if taken out seems like the better plan to me. Just.....saying...........

ASHTON I AM SO FUCKING PROUD OF YOU! FROM BEING FIRST VOTED OUT TO SURVIVING THE FIRST VOTE TO CARRYING THE WHOLE TEAM TO IMMUNITY!!! Honestly, working with Ashton is one of my #1 goals in this game, and I'm happy we're safe, so I don't have to worry about tribal, especially considering tomorrow would've been a pretty tough day for me to worry about it. 

As for the twist, I don't think this twist is going to go on for TOO long, but if it does, and we merge without a tribe swap, I'd be shocked, but I feel that won't be the case, and I should be off of this tribe sooner rather than later to start making more connections and dominating more motherfuckers. :)

Are these people gonna vote out Brian over Pat? Like.... really? Pat has deadass done NOTHING this game so far. We are six days in and he has yet to send a single message to me or a good half of the villains tribe. Yet somehow Brian is a better person to boot over Pat. I'm like extra upset because I actually REALLY like Brian and I don't want him to go, but I also know that it's not my place to try and swing the vote the other way. If Pat stays, it's only going to make the silence more awkward. I don't need him here. He does nothing to benefit my game. Brian has been a friend to me ever since this game began. It's sad. Maybe it'll be for the better, but I knew I was gonna have to rely on making new friends to last in this game :/ having to vote one of them out this early is gonna suuuuck.

 welp junior just said it's Brian so may as well prepare to be up junior's ass all season since we're following his lead already. If anybody's having flashbacks to Arabia that's totally justified. So in a Skype call this morning, the alliance of five eventually, after much dilly-dallying, decided to target Pat. Wait, what?  They picked Brian?  What the fuck? That's...okay, fine.  We're targeting Brian.  Not Pat.  Who sucks.  Brian.  Who doesn't. Obviously I don't love this.  And on the one hand goddammit I SHOULD go for this. Buuuuuuuuuuut What if....I didn't What if......I didn't like how Kage was pitching secretly to split the votes between Pat and Brian and what if I didn't like that Kage gave Brian a bad location to search for the Idol and what if......I voted for Pat instead Hmm.  Thoughts. We'll see what happens.  There's still 90 minutes to go.  Anything could happen!

So after the awkwardness passed that we have to go to tribal, people gradually started to open the game talks and ultimately, although there was a minor conflict between Kage and Jonathan, the two targets seem to settle on Brian and Pat for their lack of social presence thus far And then someone along the way decided that it would be Brian leaving so it seemed to be going his direction but like.....I don't want to vote him? And I think others feel the same? So I started to voice that opinion to people (which was risky and maybe a mistake but i ain't scared) and it seems the tide might be turning (or already had turned and I just jumped on eagerly). If this vote goes against Pat instead of Brian I'll feel MUCH better...but I am putting myself out there by doing this and these are big villains so there might be another plot in the making...... sorry but I love my bf by proxy (thx Zack for donating him this season!) and I don't want to vote him out.....

Talking to Andrew about taking out Ruthie next, and I'm already proposing getting us to work with Steffen, which is good, and once I move to getting him to WANT to work with Trace and Dom, I'm almost settled in my ways of getting the people I trust on one side to trust the people I want to work with from the other side. I wouldn't mind staying in these tribes for awhile, because this means that I can take out a lot of people I don't wanna work with, and then once we swap, I know I can trust all the heroes going forward, and I can work on the villains. Divide and conquer man, divide and conquer..... Except I'm not dividing with anyone, it's just myself.

RIP MY DUMBASS FOR SELF VOTING. Honestly I haven't had wifi all day and I feel bad for accidentally self voting but it doesn't seem like anyone really cares because in the end, Pat still went home. I mean which is good. However, once I came back to the land of the living, Jaiden was telling me about how Kage was basically making things hella stressful like an hour before the vote??? I mean our alliance was hoping to vote Brian so I assume that is what Kage was telling everyone. But apparently they would have none of it because everyone likes Brian. I am starting to think I may need to be careful as to what I say to that alliance, and make sure Kage or any of the other boys get the wrong idea of what I am planning. ALSO WHAT THE HECK, SARAH AND I JUST REALIZED THERE ARE ONLY 5 GIRLS ON THIS SEASON?!?!? LIKE WHAT?!?!! This is basically screaming an all girls alliance, you watch it happen. 

Well I've been majorly slacking with these confessionals lol but iM gonna take it all the way back to grade A robbery. Of course Judging is a subjective thing but idc the judges got it objectively wrong. It was simple, Our flag was there flag wasn't. I've got no idea how we lost that. So instantly my first thought after that is...Fuck me im getting francesca'd. First boot two times that'll be iconic i guess. Nobodies throwing out names until finally a mist crusade begins. I feel terrible for the guy. He just got fucked by moving on the same day. But when is this game ever fair. Mist goes unanimously all things are good. 

Literally minutes after Mist goes we have to get ready for a live challenge and choose 3 people to compete. Since everyone else are adults and i'm a no-life teen obviously I volunteer. The challenge starts we randomly choose our leader and Yay it's me. My enthusiasm dies however when I hear the challenge...Pressure Cooker. FUCK ME NOOOOO. I wasn't ready for this!! but I sucked it up and got in for the long haul. When the briberiea began I started to realize though that thing could be perfect for my game. It shows my loyalty by not accepting any of those fucking awesome advantages. And it shows I have fight for our tribe by standing up there for 2 and a half hours. I was ecstatic when I won and kind of just collapsed cuz my left leg was in a lot of pain. Everyone was co gratulatorio me which was a nice feeling. Basically Things are going great for me rn. My closest allies are Johnny and Tommy at this point i think. 

Kendall thought that Johnny was from India so she tried to rope him into an alliance with her, Alex C, him, and villains Sarah and Ashley. I'm shaking because he told me everything and basically (seemingly) trusts me completely. So my cracked ass tells Isaac everything and how we need to make a move on this and he's like we can't play this way.
